Seahawks have been planning to deploy Shaheed in the backfield since training camp, not as a reactive measure. Coach Mike Macdonald confirmed the scheme was pre-planned and deployed Sunday due to Jadarian Price's injury and Zach Charbonnet's incomplete recovery from a torn ACL. Shaheed got two carries for 33 yards including a 28-yard touchdown run, showcasing his speed and agility in the broken field. Through four games in 2026, he has seven catches for 73 yards and three carries for 37 yards plus the touchdown, plus nine punt returns for 79 yards and 10 kickoff returns for 273 yards.
