Blake Corum

PositiveRole26:16

Los Angeles Rams running back received effusive praise from Sean McVay, who described him as 'a stud' who 'is going to have a big role'; McVay indicated Corum will get carries between the 20s and some third-down work, though not in every high-leverage situation near the goal line where Kyron Alexander may retain priority.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeValue31:18

The source references a draft-class comparison where Ryan Wilson ranked Ken Walker ahead of Breece Hall at the combine, which the source brought up to Hall directly. This context illustrates the pre-draft perception gap between the two backs, though the source does not provide a current fantasy stance on Hall.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveValue55:22

In a three-receiver league, Brian Thomas Jr. is a strong pick; the source is taking him over other options at that draft position because the league format prioritizes receiver depth.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeProjection50:34

The source will not project Caleb Williams as a top-five quarterback in six-point per passing touchdown leagues because there are many other quarterbacks who can do similar things but are more accurate than Williams.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

NegativeProjection5:05

Lamb ranks 61st in yards per catch and 29th in yards per target among 130 wide receivers with 100+ targets over the 2022-present stretch; he ranks 30th in fantasy points per target over his career. Last year Pickens outperformed Lamb in fantasy points per target (2.14 to 1.72), and Pickens outscored Lamb after Lamb returned from injury.

Insight page
PositiveValue5:42

Lamb ranked 30th in fantasy points per target in PPR; source prefers him in late round one despite concerns about Dallas' defense improving and competition from Ryan Flannoy and Jake Ferguson (who had over 100 targets last year). Lamb and Pickens averaged eight targets per game together last year and should maintain that volume as Dallas' 1 and 1A receivers, making Lamb a top-10 pick in source's view.

Insight page

Chris Moore

NegativeRole23:54

Wide receiver was signed by Baltimore, indicating a roster addition but no specific role or usage details provided.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveBreakout11:12

Olave was identified as a blob winner from round seven; while not as dominant as Pickens, he still emerged as a successful mid-round receiver pick from the wide receiver cluster.

Insight page

Christian Kirk

NegativeInjury32:30

The source reports Christian Kirk left 49ers practice with a trainer, indicating a potential injury concern during training camp.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeValue27:30

Christian McCaffrey is part of a draft team (McCaffrey, Rice, Jacobs, Neighbors) that the source describes as having 'no risk' and is enthusiastic about, calling it 'game over.' The source made McCaffrey their avatar, indicating strong conviction.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveValue14:00

Moore is grouped in the wide receiver blob with Tate, Evans, Harrison Jr., and Williams; the source identifies him as the number-one receiver on his team and notes he has a good quarterback, both key criteria for blob breakout potential.

Insight page
PositiveValue35:15

Source notes that DJ Moore was acquired at the end of round four in a mock draft, suggesting he was available at a discount relative to typical ADP; however, source also discusses that Garrett Wilson may have higher ceiling if things go right for him versus Moore, and that Wilson is likely to get more targets than Moore.

Insight page

Davante Adams

NegativeBreakout11:12

Adams was identified as a round-four blob winner in the source's historical analysis of receivers who escaped the wide receiver cluster in prior seasons.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeRole28:36

The source clarifies that David Montgomery remains the primary back in Houston's backfield as long as he is healthy. While Woody Marks may get third-down opportunities, Montgomery is expected to maintain his lead role. The source notes Montgomery had 33 touchdowns in the last three seasons in Detroit but may not get the same touchdown opportunities in Houston.

Insight page

David Njoku

NegativeRole34:30

Source notes that Njoku was not on the Chargers roster when Justin Herbert broke out in the second half of his rookie year, part of a broader point about roster turnover and uncertainty regarding whether current weapons will produce.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

NegativeBreakout11:12

Wilson was identified as a round-four blob winner from the previous season, part of the source's analysis of which receivers stepped out of the wide receiver cluster to identify patterns for current-year sleepers.

Insight page
PositiveProjection35:15

Source argues that Garrett Wilson has a higher ceiling than DJ Moore if things go right for him; source also notes Wilson is likely to get more targets than Moore, and emphasizes that targets matter more than offense quality when evaluating wide receiver upside.

Insight page

George Pickens

PositiveProjection4:18

Pickens has averaged more yards per target and more yards per catch than CeeDee Lamb in all four of Pickens' seasons since 2022; he ranks 5th in yards per catch and 6th in yards per target among 130 wide receivers with 100+ targets, compared to Lamb's 61st and 29th respectively. In fantasy points per target over his career, Pickens ranks 23rd versus Lamb's 30th. Last year Pickens significantly outperformed Lamb in fantasy points per target (2.14 to 1.72), and Pickens outscored Lamb after Lamb returned from injury.

Insight page
NegativeValue5:42

Pickens ranked 23rd in fantasy points per target in PPR and outscored Lamb last year (2.14 to 1.72 PPR points per target). Source prefers him in late round two to early round three, not middle round two where he was drafted in a pick-by-pick mock (ahead of Nico Collins and A.J. Brown). Pickens benefits from contract year motivation and upgrade from Pittsburgh to Dallas offense, but faces target competition from Ryan Flannoy and Jake Ferguson.

Insight page
PositiveProjection7:25

Over the last four seasons (all of Pickens' career), Pickens has significantly underperformed C.D. Lamb in per-catch efficiency, per-target efficiency, and fantasy points per target despite Lamb playing three of those years in Pittsburgh. The source projects Pickens at 7.5 to 8.0 targets per game going forward, down from his 8.3 targets per game in weeks 7-17 when Lamb was healthy, due to improved Dallas defense, a better run game, and increased involvement from Jake Ferguson and Ryan Flannoy.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout11:12

Pickens was identified as the ultimate winner from the wide receiver blob in 2024, averaging 17 points per game; the source attributes his success to exceeding 7+ targets per game, a key criterion for identifying breakout receivers in mid-round ranges (rounds 4-6).

Insight page
PositiveProjection11:43

Pickens has averaged more yards per target and more yards per catch than Lamb across all four years of his career (Pickens' entire career and Lamb's prime). Source projects Pickens will continue this efficiency advantage and average more fantasy points per target than Lamb going forward.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeValue46:31

Price's ADP is fine and falling from consensus top-five rookie RB pick right after the NFL Draft to middle of the first round in rookie drafts; the source was overexcited about his fit replacing two backs (Charbonnet and others) but now views him as a flex option or potential starter rather than an RB2, comparable to Travion Henderson's situation last year.

Insight page
NegativeRole46:40

Price's upside is capped by committee concerns: Helani and Emmanuel Wilson are getting significant work, and Charbonnet's return from injury will further limit Price's touches and production once he's healthy; the source's biggest fear is that Price won't establish himself before Charbonnet returns and takes away volume.

Insight page
NegativeProjection49:10

The source does not expect Price to bust out and crush ADP right away; while acknowledging Price is a talented running back capable of playing in the league, the source is uncertain whether he will emerge as an amazing running back who significantly outperforms his draft position.

Insight page

Jake Ferguson

NegativeRole8:51

Ferguson had over 100 targets last year and will remain a factor in Dallas' passing game, competing for targets alongside Lamb and Pickens. Source notes his involvement as a consideration when projecting target distribution for the Cowboys' top receivers.

Insight page
NegativeRole10:30

Jake Ferguson is expected to increase his involvement in the Dallas offense in 2024, which could reduce target share for C.D. Lamb and George Pickens; the source cites Ferguson's increased role as one reason to project Lamb's targets down from 9.7 to 8.0-8.5 per game.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveRole52:32

Coker is being called wide receiver one in Carolina, but the source is not ready to buy that projection; Coker only ran 15 snaps last year, and if that doubles it would take away a role from Coker, suggesting the WR1 designation is premature.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveRole32:45

The source reports Jonathan Brooks is looking good in training camp and will have his first padded practice since November 2024. Dave Canales emphasizes the importance of Brooks getting comfortable with his legs and building confidence as he returns from injury, with timing expected to return naturally.

Insight page

Jordan James

PositiveDepth Chart32:17

The source reports Jordan James is the very early leader to be the number two running back behind Christian McCaffrey with the 49ers, indicating he's winning the backup role competition in training camp.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeValue27:00

Josh Jacobs is part of a draft team (McCaffrey, Rice, Jacobs, Neighbors) that the source describes as having 'no risk' and expresses strong enthusiasm about.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

NegativeProjection34:15

The source references buzz about a big year coming for Keaton Mitchell with the Chargers, grouping him among several players expected to break out, but does not provide specific analysis or conviction on his outlook.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout34:22

Source identifies Mitchell as having a big year coming in training camp.

Insight page

Malachi Fields

PositiveBreakout36:13

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Giants have been highly impressed by rookie wide receiver Malachi Fields in training camp; however, source adds skepticism, noting that everyone looks great in training camp until they don't, suggesting caution about reading too much into early impressions.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeValue14:00

Harrison Jr. is grouped in the wide receiver blob with Tate, DJ Moore, Evans, and Williams; the source notes there is some question about whether he is the number-one receiver on his team, a key criterion for identifying blob breakouts.

Insight page
NegativeInjury24:55

Arizona wide receiver left the field and tweaked his back during an 11-on-11 drill in training camp; source notes he had gotten off to a good start in camp prior to the injury.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

NegativeRole25:02

Arizona wide receiver was mentioned in context of Marvin Harrison's injury and training camp performance, but no specific fantasy insight provided.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeValue14:00

Evans is positioned in the wide receiver blob alongside Tate, DJ Moore, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Jamison Williams in the same draft range, part of the source's analysis of mid-round receiver comparisons.

Insight page
NegativeValue35:30

Source considered Evans as an alternative to Devontae Adams in a late-round wide receiver decision but ultimately chose Adams, suggesting Evans was not the preferred option.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

NegativeRole33:35

The source compares Trey Harris to Quentin Johnson, noting that when Harris was drafted, the source thought it signaled the end of Johnson's role with the Chargers. The source also references Johnson as one of several Chargers receivers expected to have a big year, though expresses uncertainty about which players will actually deliver on that expectation.

Insight page
NegativeBreakout34:22

Source notes Johnson as having a big year coming; however, the source also raises a concern that when Justin Herbert broke out in the second half of his rookie year, Johnson wasn't doing much, suggesting uncertainty about whether Johnson will capitalize on improved quarterback play and offensive weapons around him.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

PositiveInjury23:27

Carolina rookie running back is going to be full go for camp, indicating no injury concerns heading into training camp.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeBreakout11:12

Rice was identified as a round-six blob winner but the source discounts his significance due to his suspension, noting he would not have been a legitimate round-six pick without the suspension impact.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeValue54:04

Barkley in late round two is going where he is supposed to go; the source does not use the word 'excellent' to describe the value, suggesting it is fair but not a steal.

Insight page

Tre Harris

PositiveRole33:00

ESPN's Chris Rim reports the Chargers expect Trey Harris to be a legitimate part of the passing offense. The source compares Harris to Quentin Johnson in terms of skill set and notes Harris has speed and after-catch ability that fits Mike McDaniel's offensive scheme. However, the source acknowledges Harris wasn't a complete receiver coming into the NFL but suggests he may develop after a season to understand the game.

Insight page
NegativeRole34:30

Source mentions Harris as part of a group of players (Quentin Johnson, Trey Harris, Arande Gadsden, David Njoku) who were not on the Chargers roster when Justin Herbert broke out in the second half of his rookie year, suggesting uncertainty about whether Harris will contribute meaningfully in the current offense.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveRole28:14

Houston Texans running backs coach Danny Barrett said Woody Marks is going to get a lot of opportunities this season, including on third down. The source notes Marks caught a lot of passes in college and could be very successful in PPR leagues if used appropriately with CJ Stroud. Marks is positioned as a good pick in double-digit rounds, banking on either a Montgomery injury or his role in the passing game, though he won't be the same type of guy as Montgomery was in the playoff game with over 100 yards rushing.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

PositiveInjury26:06

Seattle running back has no timetable for return from injury, but Mike McDonald is very encouraged by his rehab progress, suggesting positive trajectory toward availability.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveBreakout11:12

Flowers was identified as a round-six blob winner; the source notes he challenges the target-volume criterion for blob breakouts, suggesting alternative factors beyond 7+ targets per game can drive success in the mid-round receiver range.

0:10And he stays on his feet! He's just gonna go the distance!
0:14Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath FFT after dark, we love it An evening show, it is Sunday,
0:21July 26, 8.43pm Almost bedtime for some of us We welcome you to Fantasy Football Today Today we have a fun show,
0:29we're gonna talk about A little bit about the wide receiver blob And which type of receiver is most likely to Jump
0:36out of that blob and be really good We're gonna talk about Early training camp buzz What are the reporters saying, what
0:43are the coaches saying What matters right now, we've got some Buy or sell from the audience, we have some emails At
0:51fantasyfootball at cbsi.com And we have Dave Richard Hello Dave, happy belated How was your 50th?
0:56It was great, spent A lot of time at one of my favorite places With my favorite people And it was a
1:04fun weekend all the way around And the best part, the best part Is that football's gonna be back And we're gonna
1:11have a Hall of Fame game next weekend Is that possibly correct?
1:15That is correct It might be before the weekend Football's back, Adam Holy crap I think this was the last Sunday without
1:22football Until the Super Bowl That's the best news I've heard Well, he just turned 50 That's the best news I've heard
1:30all weekend Yeah Also, I think I saw a post of yours on X Very appreciative of all the Love from all
1:37the listeners and viewers out there Who wish Dave a happy birthday And you guys Especially for the cookie cake That thing
1:44was awesome Yeah Thanks Did it get eaten? Oh man, did it get It was gone in like 45 minutes Good Yeah
1:52Our office loved the cookie cake I'm not saying I should have mentioned That it was other people That ate the cookie
1:59cake And not me Who ate the whole thing In 45 minutes Alright, listen Let's get to the show here But I
2:06just wanna say We're doing a pick-by-pick draft right now Which is just a draft that we're doing Where we each pick
2:14from two spots in the draft Like Jamie has One and seven I have two and eight Dave has three and nine
2:21Jacob has four and ten Dan has five and eleven And Heath has picks six and twelve And then we'll write articles
2:29About how to pick from each spot And what we learn But it's just so funny To look at this draft And
2:36it's so different Than what Not so different But somewhat different Than what I usually see From our CBS draft So Drafts
2:43are living, breathing things And you can follow ADP all you want But sometimes guys fall to you And it's an awesome
2:51feeling When you get the guy That you didn't expect Alright Fun fact to start the show Let's talk about The Dallas
2:58Cowboys wide receivers And I just want you all to think What would happen If CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens Got basically
3:05the same amount of targets Well George Pickens has been in the league For four years He has averaged more yards per
3:13target And more yards per catch Than CeeDee Lamb In all four of his seasons Since 2022 When he entered the league
3:20George Pickens is fifth in yards per catch And sixth in yards per target Among 130 wide receivers With a hundred or
3:27more targets He's fifth or sixth In both yards per catch And yards per target Lamb is 61st in yards per catch
3:35And 29th in yards per target In this same stretch In the totality of Pickens' career He's 23rd in fantasy points per
3:42target In PPR Lamb is 30th And Lamb was a little bit better In this stat While he was on Dallas And
3:50Pickens was on Pittsburgh But last year Pickens crushed Lamb In fantasy points per target 2.14 to 1.72 So if you think
3:57about that And you think about the fact That Pickens actually outscored Lamb After Lamb came back From the injury Do we
4:04have it right Dave Richard Picking Lamb in the first round And Pickens in the second round?
4:10I'm nervous to take both Cowboys receivers That soon But when it's Lamb in late round one And Pickens in late round
4:17two And maybe he bleeds into early round three I'm good with it I still think that Dallas' offense Is going to
4:25be pass heavy Still think both of these guys Can earn upwards of eight targets per game That's the number that really
4:32You want to chase Seven is good Eight is actually amazing And so if these guys And they average eight targets per
4:39game When they were playing together For all of last year When they were on the field together All of last year
4:47And so if they're going to keep that going And they're going to be the one in 1A in Dallas Yes, these
4:54are Let's just call them like top 26 picks But neither of them should be top 10 Lamb should be top 10
5:01I think you're looking at these two guys And how they performed at times last year CeeDee Lamb played a good portion
5:09of the season Through an injury George Pickens took advantage significantly Of the games that CeeDee Lamb was out The thing that
5:16makes me a little bit concerned Dave talked about this a lot The defense being better for Dallas The other thing to
5:24keep an eye on Is they seem to love Ryan Flannoy And we'll see how much of a factor he is If
5:31he takes away from the eight targets per game For these guys You know Jake Ferguson's still going to be Somewhat of
5:38a factor He had over 100 targets last year So he's going to be involved in this also And yes, the run
5:46game could be questionable But it could also still be good enough That it's still a significant factor So there's a lot
5:53of things at play here I do love the fact for George Pickens That he's still in a contract year technically So
6:00that's going to help As we saw last year Clearly playing with a better quarterback In a better offense Than he's been
6:08in previous time In his career with Pittsburgh Should help But look, if you're getting these guys At the appropriate spots So
6:15just to give you an example I don't love where Heath took George Pickens In the middle of round two In the
6:22pick-by-pick draft You're going to see So he took him ahead of Nico Collins and A.J.
6:28Brown I don't know how many people Would disagree with that I would I would rather have those other two players Over
6:35Pickens Even though Me too Last year So I would prefer him Where Dave said End of round two Early part of
6:43round three I just don't think He's going to get there I would take a chance On C.D.
6:49Lamb End of round one But why You said he was top ten Like you're okay with him Top ten And then
6:56you just Made a great case for like My tenth overall player Okay, alright I'm not gonna That's fine If you want
7:03to put him at ten That's fine Alright, but why I'm pretty sure That George Pickens Going to average more yards Per
7:11target And more yards per catch Than C.D. Lamb He's done it Like I said All four years of his career If
7:18you're looking at this graphic And you're like What is fifth and sixth Compared to 61st, 29th Again, these are stats Except
7:25for what's on the bottom there These are stats For the last four seasons Of their careers Which is all of George
7:33Pickens' career And the prime of C.D. Lamb And he's just been So much better per catch And so much better per
7:40target And he's actually averaged More fantasy points per target Even though three of those Four years were in Pittsburgh Amazing Did you have the numbers last year?
7:49Were they even Like a wider discrepancy last year?
7:52In terms of rank of yards Per catch and target I'm not sure I mean, I care more About the overall number
8:00And not the rank necessarily But Yeah, I mean Yeah, he was I don't have it right in front of me But
8:07yes He was He's usually more of a downfield guy Which is why The yards per catch and target Are going to
8:15be higher But last year Lamb had a higher A.D.
8:18Than George Pickens Which was very surprising I don't really think There's any way to slice it Like George Pickens Was better than C.D.
8:26Lamb Last year Particularly after Lamb came back From the injury I just don't know How healthy he was I think he
8:33I mean, he performed As if he were pretty healthy But you're right He just had very bad touchdown luck I guess
8:41I'm just saying I don't How confident How confident are you That Lamb Is going to be better Than Pickens I am
8:48Slightly confident But not very If you're slightly confident I would be more confident Than that Right What's the next Leap up
8:55from slightly I'm confident I think that push comes to shove He's going to end up Having more targets Than Pickens I
9:03think If he's going to be The short area target By comparison to Pickens Not saying that Every catch he's going to
9:10get Is going to be five yards Away from the line of scrimmage And he's going to be A red zone factor
9:17Then that should be enough For him To To more than make up For whatever difference There is in yards per target
9:25And yards per catch Do you have it Aser-statted Of what Pickens did In the games where C.D.
9:31Lamb was healthy Yeah, I do His points per game were what I've got it Better than Better Okay I don't have
9:38it If you include Weeks one and two But from week Seven No, you have to include Weeks one and two My
9:46opinion was He wasn't really a big part Of the offense at that point He was on the field Playing on the
9:53team Then no, I don't have that But I do have When C.D.
9:57Lamb was 100% But not when C.D. Lamb Was not 100% No, no, no I'm not trying to deny I would take
10:05Lamb Ahead of Pickens too I'm not trying to I'm not saying you're not I just want to know What the numbers
10:12were Go ahead Dave has it I've got it 16.6 PPR points per game On 9.7 targets per game This is in
10:19weeks one and two Seven through 17 Twelve games Everything except week three game When C.D.
10:25left early Pickens at 16.1 So it's a half Point per game difference In those games The target per game difference What
10:32did I say for Lamb It was 9.7 targets per game Pickens at 8.3 Yeah Okay And I don't think It's going
10:39to be that high For the reasons that Jamie pointed out That's why I jumped in When Jamie was done talking About
10:47how the defense Is going to be better The run game Should be a little bit better Ryan Flannoy Jake Ferguson Like
10:54those guys Could take away Like it makes me worry A little bit About I mean certainly About 9.7 targets per game For C.D.
11:02Lamb I think that number Maybe it's like The ceiling But probably more likely Is 8 to 8.5 And I think Pickens
11:10Is going to be 7.5 to 8 Okay And both are awesome We're going to have a hard time Finding receivers That
11:17are going to average 7.5 targets a game Well that's a topic for Well that's an answer For our next topic Which
11:24is an email of the day From Scott At fantasyfootball At cbsi.com Alright you read the email And then go make a
11:32pick Alright Man Jamie You were just Yeah I know I'm crazy with this After we answer the email When you read
11:39the next one Dave's going to go make a pick Alright I might be able to make a pick While he's answering
11:46the email Who cares about that though Let's focus on the task at hand here We've got We have Heath on a
11:54mountain That we need to get picks from him Okay Since we have the wide receiver blob Again this year Which wide
12:01receivers Stepped out of the blob Last year And why How can we analyze that And apply this To this year's blob
12:08So we can pick the blob winners And sleepers I used We talked about one of them Who?
12:14Pickens Pickens was the ultimate winner From the blob And Olave Yeah but Pickens was so much better Than Olave Well so
12:22much Not so much better But he was better Last year the blob winners I looked at rounds Four through six They
12:29were Garrett Wilson And Devante Adams In round four Nobody in round five Zay Flowers And George Pickens In round six Rasheed
12:37Rice In round six I didn't really count him Because he was suspended He never would have been A six round pick
12:44And then Olave I think was actually In round seven So Pickens was the man He averaged 17 points per game I
12:51think the answer is You're looking for the most targets When you get to this range But Zay Flowers Would disagree with
12:59you there But I've looked at I've looked at rounds Four through six In the last four seasons And most of the
13:06guys Who jump out Who have the best seasons They have More than seven targets Per game And More than Almost eight
13:13Most of them In rounds four through six I think I think the thing Like the criteria You want to look for
13:21Is who could be number one On their team Right It's easy to start there Then I think you look for Who's
13:28going to have Good quarterbacks Who's going to be In good offenses Right So like when you're comparing Cardinal Tate Versus Who
13:35else is in the blob Cardinal Tate Versus Is Tate even a good example I mean Jamison Williams I think is a
13:43Perfect one Right Jamison Williams Sure To compare those two I was thinking like a receiver In the 30s Has done anything
13:50yet But like Cardinal Tate's going In the same range As DJ Moore Mike Evans Marvin Harrison Jr Jamison Williams Yeah so
13:58you take those guys And you start to say Okay who's number one On their team They all seem to be Except
14:05for Jamison Marvin there's some question DJ Moore you could say Yes is number one Cardinal Tate You should think is number
14:12one But when you say number one I mean are we talking about With the tight end too Because Marvin Harrison Wouldn't
14:20be No I'm thinking number one Receiver But sure you want to say Number one in targets Sure I think then you
14:27start to look At okay who's got good Quarterbacks Well DJ Moore certainly does Cardinal Tate we'll see Jamison Williams you know
14:34He does But doesn't necessarily Benefit him As good as his quarterback is So it's you know It's that's I think when
14:42you just It's it's the nitpicking Right it's when we start To this player Versus that player You like to do this
14:49all time I think you say Number one or top ten upside I like to expand that A little bit more you
14:56know So if I'm taking somebody That's outside the top 20 Can they still be a top 20 receiver And I feel
15:04like I got a good Return on investment If that's the case So you know If Cardinal Tate finishes 20 I don't
15:11know How satisfied you are Adam You know but like for me I'd be thrilled Yeah I'd be pretty happy I think
15:18that would be That'd be kind of like Taking Ted Earl McMillan Last year And you had a guy That was a
15:26little Frustrating at times But had some big weeks And was usually a guy In a three receiver league That you were
15:33starting It's a tough question To answer And the truth is There aren't that many guys Year after year You might get
15:41From rounds four through six You might get about 15 wide receivers Drafted somewhere around there And you might get Four or
15:48five That end up scoring You know 15 or more 14.5 or more fantasy points Most of them Are gonna fall short
15:55But the one thing I have noticed Is the targets And You could have some Super efficient guys Like a Brandon Iuke
16:03Like a Terry McLaurin Who scored all those touchdowns Like a Zay Flowers Last year They were able to To have standout
16:10seasons With less than seven Targets per game But I found Twelve other standouts In that four year stretch And they all
16:17averaged 7.8 or more Targets per game And I didn't even include One of the Rasheed Rice seasons Because one was Three
16:25games And one was Last year Where he was suspended But he obviously Averaged more than 7.8 targets per game So that
16:32That would be The key number for me I don't know if you guys See anyone Who you think could approach Eight
16:39When you start to get To round seven or later Look for seven or more targets When you're in rounds Four through
16:47six I think you need to be Looking for about Eight or more targets Which is what 136 targets For a season
16:54Who could do that Dave You think In rounds four through six Or thereabouts I almost feel like Looking for somebody To
17:02get eight targets per game Is like looking for a unicorn You think so?
17:06Yeah I mean Take Devonta Adams As an example He had over eight targets Per game last year But the reason why
17:14He was so good for fantasy Was because he scored All those touchdowns He did get eight targets Per game It was
17:21crazy And Yeah I mean I don't He's never I think he's touched Seven Like as a rookie Like he had a
17:28stretch Where he might have been Just over seven targets Per game But I Can't expect Lad McConkie To get eight targets
17:36A game They're talking about Another wide receiver In LA now Trey Harris Stepping up And doing more work there And that's
17:43not a reason To pass on Lad McConkie It's just a reason To look at him And say Can he get to seven?
17:51Yes And I think that's the number That's a lot more realistic Is Can I find a wide receiver And then this
17:58is Later on This isn't in the Carnell Tate range This is before then This is in that round What'd you say Jimmy?
18:06Three to five? Four to six? Something like that?
18:09I said four to six Okay so in the round Four to six range Yeah I'm looking for somebody With certainly more
18:16than Seven targets per game And touchdown potential Don't give me a wide receiver On a team That goes run heavy Inside
18:24the ten Because that's when You're going to lose opportunities What we've been dealing with That was Zay Flowers His whole career
18:31And it's been Frightening Not frightening Frustrating Speaking of Speaking of rounds Four through six Dave you are up After Lad McConkie
18:38Just went to Jacob Oh no kidding I didn't know that Okay And then Adam Is on deck Yeah you were telling
18:46me To pick Did anybody take my receiver My gamble paid off I already made my pick You were telling me to
18:53pick Alright we're going to take a break Come back Give you the early training camp buzz Dave just mentioned Trey Harris
19:00For the Los Angeles Chargers Second year receiver Who apparently is going to have a role We'll give you some news and
19:08notes We'll give you that We'll give you some buy or sell And more When we come back On Fantasy Football today
19:15By the way Emeka Abuka Has a fourth round ADP right now And that's someone I could definitely see I think we
19:22could all See a scenario Where he's getting 136 targets Eight per game Or at least somewhere Around there And Dave actually
19:30Just took him 27th overall In this pick by pick That's Emeka Abuka One pick before Jeremiah Love So Alright A couple
19:37things I need to promote real quick Draftathon is here Our draftathon page is live If we have a Easy fun URL

20:23I want to tell you about Is our New and improved fantasy app And you can scan the QR code That you
20:30see here At youtube.com Slash fantasy football today And download the app It's the latest fantasy advice From our experts Not me
20:38Which is a good thing Up to date consensus rankings In PPR and non-PPR ADP rankings Trends from CBS leagues Like the
20:45most added players Most started Which is obviously going to help you During the season Player news And in-depth player stats Download
20:52the fantasy The CBS Sports Fantasy app And you can scan that QR code And it will make it easy for you
21:00Adam I was asked what feedback I had on the app And so I started to give feedback And the guy said
21:07No, not from you, idiot From people who are fans That are using the app So by all means Download the app
21:14Take a look at it And then drop me a line With what you think about it And I will get it
21:22To the powers that be We want it to be Your favorite fantasy app Cool News and notes Scary stuff for Kyle
21:29Shanahan He was in a car accident On July 14th And he has a severe concussion So he hasn't been cleared yet
21:37To basically return From the concussion protocol He also has some other injuries And those will heal Hopefully though Back soon for
21:44Kyle Shanahan Coach of the 49ers Who has the concussion More 49ers news George Kittle is on the pup list But still
21:51hoping to be ready For week one According to San Francisco GM John Lynch Rams rookie quarterback Ty Simpson signed his contract
21:59So now every first round pick Has signed their rookie deal And Aaron Donald Is still undecided about returning See if he
22:06does Pretty cool Patrick Mahomes Has been fully cleared He says he feels amazing Hooray for Mahomes He admitted that he didn't
22:13That he ran too much last year And a couple of people Have asked me They looked at my rankings And they
22:21said Why is Patrick Mahomes so low? And I said Well you can look at What he did in 2025 Or not
22:2824 and 23 And then you could also Look at what he did in 26 And obviously the lot of rushing That
22:35he did That was great But he even said himself That maybe he ran A little too much last year And so
22:43if he dials that back Maybe cut the numbers in half From last year Maybe he's around 20 to 22 fantasy points
22:50per game Especially when you throw in Kenneth Walker And what he might mean To this offense I was thinking about this
22:58earlier That last year There was this chief stretch It was Mahomes I don't remember the order Mahomes Worthy Kelsey Rice Because
23:05of the suspension Pacheco All going You know Rounds 5 through 7 or so And now you've got Walker going in the
23:12second Maybe bleeds into the third round And then everyone else is Oh sorry Rice too You got Rice and Walker Early
23:20But you had those three Chiefs that were going Maybe around 5 last year They're going pretty late In Mahomes Worthy And
23:27Kelsey And that's kind of cool More news Quinshawn Judkins Is going to be full go for camp Carolina rookie wide receiver
23:34Chris Brazel Is limited with a knee injury Baltimore defensive lineman Nnamdi Matabuke Has been cleared to return From a neck injury
23:42That's awesome He's a great player And Baltimore also signed Wide receiver Chris Moore And Detroit safety Kirby Joseph Said he's going
23:49to avoid The pup list And Jimmy That's what I've been thinking About a lot Is this Lions defense Because if the
23:56Lions Have a bad defense I'm not saying they will But they got a cornerback That they had to release Because of
24:04off field issues They have two safeties Who are banged up right now The fact that Kirby Joseph Is saying he's going
24:11to Avoid the pup list Is good But two safeties We don't know Doesn't mean playing though Right Correct We don't know
24:19their status I mean A bad Lions defense Is The best thing We could possibly ask for For fantasy Jamie And it
24:26would solve A lot of the problems When you think about The target crunch Bad Lions defense Bad Bengals defense Bad Cowboys
24:33defense Like let's keep some Of those trends Continuing As we saw Last season Bad Cardinals defense Was good too So It'd
24:41be fun to see Bad drafting by you Go make a pick Alright fine Jamie's In on this draft You have the
24:48notes In front of you You can read Some of the training Camp buzz And discuss it Marvin Harrison Left the field
24:55Tonight I don't think You had that in there So he heard today He apparently Tweaked his back In an 11 on
25:0311 drill So Michael Wilson Fantasy managers Jamie picked Okay It was not me Oh it wasn't No I think it was
25:10Dan They unselected Darius Slade And Imani Toomer Isaiah Pacheco And Brad Kaya For me in this draft If it was Dan
25:17Then He's a 50 year old genius I had a feeling When I saw it was Kaya That was you Alright Marvin
25:25Harrison Sorry about laughing During that injury update There My bad It looked like He had gotten off To a really good
25:32start In camp too I mean it's camp It's early on He had one One really bad drop That was making the
25:39rounds Of Yeah but that was like There was nobody on him You're talking about The one that was like Way over
25:47his head Yeah I mean he was lazy Yeah that's That's meaningless None of it's really meaningful He's practicing Some 11 on
25:5411 He's gained decent targets Brissette admitted That he didn't even know The offense yet This season for Arizona Is going to
26:02go great So Okay Zach Charbonnet The Don't know a timetable On him Mike McDonald Is very encouraged By his rehab Dave
26:09what did you think About what Sean McVay Said about Blake Corum Just So effusive In his praise Of Blake Corum Yeah
26:16He's a stud He's going to have A big role I I don't think He's going to take Kyron Off the field
26:24In every single High leverage Situation So near the goal line Yeah Corum's going to Get some run at times Third down
26:31I don't think Corum will be in there As much But as for like Raw carries Between the 20s If you told
26:38me There was a split Between Corum And Kyron I'd probably Believe you And so that kind Of stinks for Kyron But
26:46I also think That's baked in To what his ADP is And it's kind of Been What he's been Doing anyway For
26:53the better Part of at least Last season Most of last season And Kyron Still averaged 15 PPR points Per game Last
27:00season So this This shouldn't Scare people Off of taking Kyron It should scare People from Maybe reaching For Kyron But if
27:08he's Going Where did he Go in the Draft that we're Doing right now Jamie Fourth round That's awesome I think that's
27:15Awesome No I'm sorry Third round He went with The second To last pick In the third Awesome I'm good with That
27:23And I took Malik Neighbors In round Four So Dave If you just Kept guessing You probably Could have Got picked Yeah
27:30you have No risk With that team Of McCaffrey Rice Jacobs And Neighbors No risk It no biscuit Gotta make Bruce Arians
27:37My avatar McCaffrey You gotta You love That team though Right I do It's fun Oh McCaffrey Rice Jacobs And Neighbors I'm
27:45gonna write The column right now Just write game over Alright so we got Go either way Yeah game over One way
27:52or the other We got Arizona Running back News or not news But buzz Offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett He basically praised Everyone
27:59He praised the entire Running back room He said He said He's definitely A rookie And he's gonna Continue to grow And
28:07they're excited For him But they're excited For all of the guys So we really got Nothing there Jamie what do you
28:14Think about the role For Woody Marks Running backs Coach Danny Barrett For Houston Said Woody Marks Is gonna get a lot
28:21Of opportunities This season Including on third Down I mean look Anything you're gonna Hear from a position Coach An offense coordinator
28:29Even a head coach You gotta take it With a grain of salt And just Whatever your Bias is This is confirmation
28:36Bias season Right now So if you are Oh my god I can't wait For David Montgomery In his role And you
28:44hear this You're like I don't care It's still gonna be David Montgomery If you're Like David Montgomery Sucked last year And
28:51he's older And he's going to a team That you know May not give him The same touchdown Opportunities that he had
28:58In Detroit 33 In the last three seasons Then Woody Marks Has an opportunity To play on third downs And still be
29:06Very involved This was a guy That caught a lot Of passes in college So you know Somebody that could Be very
29:13successful In PPR leagues If used appropriately And effective With CJ Stroud So I think Woody Marks Is a good pick In
29:20the double digit rounds You're banking on Either a Montgomery Injury or that role To be there for him In the passing
29:28game But he's not gonna be The same type of guy That we saw The playoff game That you saw From the
29:35last year Had over 100 yards rushing I would throw that Out the window This is David Montgomery's Backfield as long As
29:42he's healthy More buzz Doesn't Really seems like Kansas City Is pumped about Ken Walker Doesn't it Like they're really Gonna feature
29:50him I I can't get enough Ken Walker I mean I've drafted him In the last three drafts Somebody posted On the
29:57YouTube chat Because we were Talking about the team That I took Walker Over Hampton I couldn't tell If that was a
30:05I made a mistake In the rankings Or the drafting Or because I talk up The chargers As much as I do
30:12But I like Walker Better than Hampton I think this Is a chance for him If he stays healthy To be an
30:19absolute Dominant force On that team Dave alluded to it You know Mahomes Not running as much The receiving core Being very
30:27incomplete In my opinion Behind Rice And Kelsey It's just an opportunity To everything That they have told us This offseason Quarterback
30:34coming off Injury Getting three new Running backs One in the draft One significant In free agency The Super Bowl MVP And
30:41then you know A guy that could be A complimentary piece In Di Mercado Like they want to be Better running the
30:49ball And you're hearing Brian Westbrook 2.0 That gets me excited When I hear that About Ken Walker What does that mean
30:56to you To me that would suggest A big role in the passing game I don't really I think they're going to
31:03use him In the passing game He's obviously not going to be Brian Westbrook in the passing game But we've seen when
31:11Walker Is involved in the passing game He's not as bad As I think the perception Of him is And you go
31:18back I forget which school He was at last Or first Michigan State I think it was Wake Forest He was more
31:25involved In the passing game There you know And I remember Sitting there with him You know Ryan Wilson When he was
31:33on The show with us He likes to make The comment That I kind of Put him on the spot Where he
31:40had Walker ranked ahead Of Brees Hall In that draft class We're at the combine And I said that To Brees Hall
31:48I'm like yeah This guy likes Ken Walker Better than you And you know Brees Hall Gave him the death stare But
31:55a lot of the knock On him was The lack of ability In the passing game And I think he's Got the
32:02opportunity To not necessarily Dispel that completely But to get an opportunity To show that In this offense He can be a
32:10pretty Successful pass catcher Okay Back to the buzz Jordan James Seems to be the Very early leader To be the Number
32:17two running back Behind Christian McCaffrey Christian Kirk With the 49ers now He left practice With a trainer Is that today Or
32:24yesterday I think it was today right Or yesterday Yeah I think the Substation's already got him Jonathan Brooks Jonathan Brooks is
32:32Looking good Dave Canawa says It's not just about Taking the hits And absorbing But it's also about Hitting the ground And
32:39just feeling your legs And getting comfortable With that So just encouraging him To be confident Play fast And all the rest
32:46of it In his timing Will come back He's gonna have His first padded practice Since 2024 Like November of 2024 This
32:54week Nice Let's go Good luck to him Yeah for sure Okay this is what Dave alluded to earlier ESPN's Chris Rim
33:01Says that the Chargers Expect Trey Harris To be a legitimate Part of the passing Offense What does that mean To you
33:09Dave I don't think it means That he's gonna take So much work away From McConkie But if he ends up He
33:16I'm sorry for Stuttering so much But Trey Harris When he came To the Chargers It reminded me A lot of Quentin
33:23Johnson Like some of the things That QJ could do And so when they Drafted Trey Harris I thought Oh this is
33:31the end Of Quentin Johnson With the Chargers Because Trey Harris Will just be the next guy And I wonder If a
33:38couple of the coaches Are gonna give him Is gonna fade Really really quick Let's just see What happens I didn't think
33:45He was a complete Receiver When he came Into the NFL But sometimes These guys need A season To understand The game
33:53And then they Grow from it He's definitely Got some speed And some after catch Ability That's always a big Thing in
34:00a Mike McDaniel offense And we'll see How he fits Into this whole Puzzle in LA That's a great Question Adam About
34:07Or great It's a great Example about What kind of You're asking About what you Believe What you don't Believe We've heard
34:15Big year coming For Ladd McConkie Big year coming For Quentin Johnson Big year coming For Charlie Kohler Big year coming For
34:22Keaton Mitchell Big year coming For Trey Harris Which side of those Do you want to be on Yeah I want to
34:30be on Justin Herbert It's the only thing That scares me About McConkie Is when he broke Out the second half Of
34:37his rookie year Quentin Johnson Wasn't really doing That much Trey Harris Wasn't on the team Arande Gadsden Wasn't on the team
34:44David Njoku Wasn't on the team Either That's true David Njoku Wasn't on the team But yes Keaton Allen That's one thing
34:52I believe Keaton Allen Led the team In targets Last year He did That's a We don't talk About that enough Huge
34:59vacancy There So You know what I'm just going to Let the listeners In on a dilemma I'm having here I'm up
35:06with With my fifth pick With this Team two here This is doing our Pick by pick Jamie at the At the
35:14Four or five turn Just took DJ Moore And Quint John Judkins So with team one I'm happier That you guys Let
35:21me get DJ Moore At the end of round four But that's the thing You know You pick DJ Moore You could
35:28have had The same dilemma I'm dealing with now I'm deciding between Garrett Wilson Devontae Garrett Wilson's been gone A long time
35:36my friend Oh really Yes No one removed him From the list Alright Cross him off then It was supposed to be
35:43removed Alright that makes this easier then Now it's Now it's the one I can never decide Adams versus Evans I'm gonna
35:50go with Adams I'm stammering You're missing guys In the chat In the draft room It wasn't my fault Alright Devontae Adams
35:58Okay Should I have taken Evans Who do you like better Adams or Evans Evans Adams Thanks guys Alright let's do some
36:05Buy or sell Oh wait I think I had One more note Training camp was Oh Jeremy Fowler Of ESPN says That
36:13the Giants Have been highly impressed By rookie wide receiver Malachi Fields I mean this is the season Everybody looks great Everybody
36:20looks great Until they're not Yeah Alright by yourself By the way we had a few people Asking in the chat To
36:27see the board We cannot show you the board Because this is not One of those drafts That we display Until it's
36:35done So this will be On the site This week This is our pick by pick series Where the three of us
36:42Along with Dan Schneier Jacob Gibbs And Heath We all do Two teams In a 12 team PPR draft And show you
36:49What our strategies are As I will always tell you Look at the positions More so than the names Of the players
36:57See if you like The way the builds go But that's just You know So like Adams Dilemma You might like Evans
37:04Or Adams Or Cardinal Tate Better You know That's just his decision But he made the Decision to go wide receiver And
37:11that's more important But would you have taken Garrett Wilson Or DJ Moore I would have taken Garrett Wilson And that's the
37:19thing Is you're talking about You could in theory I don't think it's Going to happen You could in theory Be talking
37:26about The best offense In the NFL Versus the worst offense In the NFL Or True But you're also talking About a
37:34younger player That I think If things go right For him Versus things going right For DJ Moore I think Garrett Wilson
37:41Sealing's higher Yeah I just think that That's where Doing the Research and showing That targets Seem to matter More than offense
37:48I'm not saying That should be Everything you consider And you're just going Alright targets He's going to get more targets Because
37:56Wilson's probably Going to get more targets Than DJ Moore He's going to get more Don't make that everything But please consider
38:03it That is definitely Something that you Want to consider I just said consider Twice in a row That was Poorly worded
38:10When you consider My job We will be right back With consideration For these commercials After this on Fantasy Football Today We're
38:18back On Fantasy Football Today By or sell From the audience From Daddy-O By or sell Cam Scadaboo Will be a top
38:25five Running back With Patrick Ricard In John The fullback In John Harbaugh's Run heavy offense And I don't believe Nagy will
38:32hold him back Harbaugh's running the show He doesn't even answer To Joe Shane I have a hard time Believing it I
38:40have a hard time Buying it So I guess that means I'm selling him Being top five Top ten is within The
38:47range of possibilities If you ask me But staying healthy Is obviously going to be A big factor That's something that's Going
38:55to be in the Front of our minds When we talk about Scadaboo But everything else Kind of sets up Nicely for
39:02him Offensive line Got improved You mentioned Ricard the fullback You mentioned Harbaugh We know Harbaugh's Track record I think the way
39:09To mitigate the risk There And I've been talking About this all offseason Draft Tyrone Tracy Before anybody else In the league
39:17Thinks about drafting Tyrone Tracy If you draft Camp Scadaboo Locking up the Giants run game It kind of makes sense If
39:24this is how They're going to Operate this year Or just take Tyrone Tracy And let somebody Else take Scadaboo What scares
39:31you About Scadaboo Other than injuries I mean The scares That's probably The biggest thing You know That's the biggest scare Because
39:39you saw His involvement In the passing game That's probably The other thing Because when he Did all of his Wonderful things
39:46That he did last season Before the injury There was no Malik Neighbors There was no Isaiah Likely There was Wanda Robinson
39:53But you know The receiving core Was just significantly Different By the way Side note Jamie obviously Was unmoved by My speech
40:01On Friday's show Is he just a Christian Watson Before Lamar Jackson Well it was Again this is How we show Different
40:08things right So that was One draft That I could show An example of I decided to take The quarterback Over the
40:15receiver This one I take The receiver Over the quarterback Different builds How it played Itself out I think same pick But
40:23different builds I did go Taylor and Walker I think in both of those Maybe Sounds right Yeah I think so The
40:30difference is Is that I know who I'm Drafting with For sure here And there'll probably Be a good quarterback That's available
40:38to me Next round There will definitely Be a good quarterback Available to you Okay next I was typing Lamar Jackson And
40:45did delete Delete delete Really And go back Until Christian Watson That's all folks Frank in the chat We're worrying By our
40:52cell We're worrying Way too much About the Eagles Offense And Devante Smith And Jalen Hurts Are undervalued At their ADP Devante
41:00Smith Is Devante Smith I have to spell it Properly Is going 39th As wide receiver 16 And Jalen Hurts Is QB
41:076 57th overall Buy or sell They're undervalued And we shouldn't be So worried about The Eagles offense More Hurts Than Devante
41:14Smith I think Hurts And I've seen Hurts Go into the 80s In drafts It's ridiculous To me He's been so good
41:22For at least The first three months Of the season Pretty regularly Over the course Of his career And I know That
41:29there's a Bugaboo about him Being healthy Or being available Or being good Late in the year That seems to be A
41:36trend with him I'm not sweating It right now Let's get the Fantasy team Off the ground And winning games Because they
41:44mean Everything Early in the year And late in the year And I think he's A top five quarterback I don't like
41:51that He's six I would take him Over Jaden Daniels And I think Philadelphia's offense Is obviously Going to be better This
41:59year Than where they Were last year When they had A play caller That no one Seemed to really love So I
42:06I think Jalen Hurts You can make a case For five to me I think six Is perfectly fine There are always
42:13Players like As I Every time I look At my rankings I'm like God I like this guy So much better Than
42:21where I have him God I want to Move him up I just keep Holding back And I'm like You know I'm
42:28not Going to do that With Devontae Smith Anymore So he's I'm just moving Ahead of George Pickens A few days ago
42:35He is So I had Pickens Like early round three And I just took Devontae Smith At the two three turn Like
42:43to me He's a late second round pick He's your guy huh Love Devontae I mean Whenever you see Like the The
42:50The seas part And just The The light is shining On something Like that's what Devontae Smith Is staring at right now
42:57Like no AJ Brown Everything is pointed In his direction In his favor Yes Makai Lemon could do this Yes Marquise Brown
43:05could do that Like They We've been waiting for this For a full season Of him as the guy And now he's
43:12the guy Yeah it's pretty cool Okay This one is from Jerome Roy Buy or sell Bejal Tootin As the lead back
43:20With the Jaguars Bye Uh Bye Okay I Was Was there a little Hesitation there Jamie Of course I mean look Well
43:27hold on Hold on Is the hesitation That he'll be the lead back But he might not be great For fantasy Or
43:34that he'll be the lead back But it's gonna be Like Very risky Because Chris Rodriguez Could come in Yes I I
43:42Would not be surprised If this Is a team That adds a running back At some point In the process You know
43:49Last year They got rid of A running back In the process By the trading Tank Bigsby If you recall We were
43:56Hey Maybe Bigsby's Their best guy Established a run Very good fantasy site They did their Offensive line rankings I believe last
44:04week Or at least They had their podcast About it last week I didn't listen to the podcast But I saw some
44:11tweets About it So Very respected You know Group of Analysts They have over there And They had the Jaguars Offensive line
44:18Like Near the bottom And I don't think They're alone In some of the Evaluation on that And so If They struggle
44:26To run the ball Which I think That's where It'll impact them More Running More so than Pass blocking They both could
44:33suck So I don't want to get Overly excited About either one But I think If you're gonna get Excited about Any
44:40of them It's probably Tootin Still I did see that About the About the Jaguars Offensive line Interesting stuff All right Let
44:48me see where Sharp football Has them Let's see Sharp football Jacksonville 17th Okay Buy or sell From Esper Jadarian Price Hits
44:55the Ground running Being by far The most Productive guy In the Backfield Early on And greatly Exceeds his Draft value For
45:03the Rest of The season That is Jadarian Price And he Is going As RB 26 72nd Overall Nervous About buying It
45:10Schedule Notwithstanding Love his Matchups In weeks Two and Three Admitting Hard To using Multiple Running Backs In that Backfield And not
45:17Giving their Rookie Passing down Work Pass protection Assignments Opportunities to Run routes on Third down Red zone Work Inside the Five
45:25Work You can Kind of See that Team be Sticklers About it Think about How much They Made sure Not to let
45:32Kenneth Walker Have so Much of That role Last year And that Zach Charbonnet They thought Charbonnet Was better At it Price
45:39Is going to Have to Show them So much In camp In order For him To earn Those big Time roles That
45:47we Want him To have Really Though Yeah I mean I know The other Guys they Have aren't Great Exactly I know
45:54I was On the Clock He has To go Out there And prove It And if He does That We may Not
46:01know That Until Week one I mean Unless The reports Are just So obvious And his Play in The preseason And all
46:09That stuff Like that That can Obviously Happen But That That coaching Staff Was dead Set on Two backs All year But
46:16even If But here's The thing Even if Even if They were Right Let's say Let's just Go back To last Year
46:24And ken Walker Really wasn't A great Pick Last year While Charbonnet Was healthy But You know He was good Enough to
46:31Be going 72nd Right You know You know What I'm Saying Even if They use Two backs You're not Paying A feature
46:38Back Price For Jadarian For Jadarian The ADP Is fine You know I think I was Overexcited About him Following the Draft
46:46So you know I was Guilty of Oh this Is such A great Fit Because they Needed Somebody to Come in And
46:53replace Two guys Not just One guy They're Replacing Two guys Because we Don't know Exactly when Charbonnet Is going To come
47:00Back My biggest Fear Is that We see A little Too much Of Helani A little Too much Of Emmanuel Wilson And
47:08then By the time Price gets Going Now Charbonnet Is back To whatever Level He's back It's just Going to Take away
47:15A little Bit from What Price Is doing And so I think If you're Getting him Hey this Is one Of my
47:22Flex guys This is Somebody that Could hopefully Work in And maybe Be a Definite Starter I love That But I Think
47:30if You're Drafting him Like I Want him To be My RB2 So like It's easy To debate Him With a Similar
47:37Rookie Situation To last Year Travion Henderson Who had Some amazing Moments And clearly Was Disappointing For a Good Portion That They're
47:45Going In a Similar Range Well I Guess Henderson At this Point Henderson Was Going Higher Than That Last Year RJ Harvey
47:52Is In a Similar Range You look At the Two Veteran Guys That Nobody Wants Tony Pollard And Chuba Hubbard Like I
47:59I I'm Very Hopeful For Price You know We have Our Rookie Draft Finally In your League Coming up Tomorrow I'm Curious
48:07Now That There's More Talking Points We see Where He Goes Because He's Still Going To Be The Second Running Back Draft
48:14But Will He Go Ahead Of The He's Not Going To Go Ahead Of At This Point At Least I Would Assume
48:21Tate Tyson And Lemon But There Was Some Debate About That Right After The NFL Draft Now He's Probably Going To Go
48:29Behind Concepcion And This Is Super Flex League Right Yeah He's Going To Go Behind You Know Obviously Mendoza I Doubt He
48:36Goes Behind Simpson But You Get The Point Like He's Starting To Fall To The Middle Of The First Round As Opposed
48:43To Where He Was A I Think A Consensus Top Five Pick In You Know The Rookie Draft Right After The NFL
48:51I Know I Was On The Clock The Other Day And Thinking About Jadarian Price And I Didn't Select him I I
48:58Don't Remember who Yes He Might Be Back Fairly Early In The Year He's Also Coming Off A Torn ACL Uh Charbonnet
49:05Scored 12 They Had Between Walker And Charbonnet Last Year They Had 17 Rushing Touchdowns Charbonnet Scored 12 Of Them And That's
49:13Why Walker Was Over 400 Total Touches That Are Available It's For Yeah And It's RB He Was RB 28 Walker He
49:20Was RB 28 Last Year In Full PPR He Had 31 Or 32 Catches In 17 Games He Only Had Five Touchdowns
49:28That Seems like A Worst Case Scenario How Can You Play 17 Games Is Basically The Lead Back And Five Touchdowns That's
49:35tough Now Take The Best Case Scenario Where There Was One Guy Missing In The Playoffs And Ken Walker Was An Absolute
49:42Monster I Know I Just I Don't Personally Think That Price Is Correct You Should Not Anticipate That But Again But He
49:50Was Drafted Ahead Of Ken Walker Right Walker Wasn't A First Round Pick But I Don't Really I Don't Really I Mean
49:57It Matters A Little Walker College Pedigree Was So Much Better Yeah I Know But It Was I Don't Want To Make
50:04It Seem Like Price Is A Bad Player Just Because He Didn't Have A ton Of Touches At Notre Dame Because He
50:12Was Playing Behind A Guy Who Was A Special Player So That's Why I Told The Line On Jadarian Price Is Because
50:19I Think He Is A Talented Running Back And I Think He's Capable Playing In This League I Just Don't Know If
50:26He's Going To Bust Out And Be An Amazing Running Back Who Crushes ADP Right Away And Maybe Buy Or Sell Caleb
50:34Williams Will Be A Top Five Quarterback In Six Point Per Passing Touchdown Leagues I Can't Go There Not With So Many
50:41Other Quarterbacks That Can Do A Lot Of The Things That Caleb Has Done But Is More Accurate Than Caleb Buy Or
50:49Sell From Jaquan Luther Burden Will Finish The Season As Top Ten Wide Receiver In All Formats Top Ten That's Happening If
50:56Something Bad Happens To Loveland Or Dunze Yeah I Think Seems Most Like I'm Guessing More I Don't Know I Was Going
51:03To Feel Like We've Had Enough Conversations This Off Season About What Teams Are Thinking About Doing As Far As Being Bigger
51:11And Stronger And Using Multiple Tight ends And What That Could Mean To Wide Receivers And I Just I Feel Like The
51:18End Result Is Until Defenses Start Being Forced To Stack Up Against The Run I Don't Know If We're Going To See
51:25It Completely Pivot Back The Other Way Remember And Scott Turner Talked About This A Couple Weeks Ago Defenses Are Fine Giving
51:33Up Runs Of 4 5 6 Yards They Don't Want To Give Up The Big Play And So If They're Going To
51:40Continue Playing Cover Two Defenses And Quarters Coverage And All This Stuff That's Meant To Deter Defenses From Throwing Passes 15 Plus
51:47Yards Down Field Then Loading Up With Tight Ends And Running Behind Them And Using Fullbacks And All That Stuff And Having
51:55Bigger People Is Going To Lead To Good Rushing Numbers And Running Backs Have Been Really Good For Fantasy It's Two Years
52:02Running Now And I Fantasy Wise But Yeah You're Right Buy or Sell From Raul Jalen Coker Is Wide Receiver One In
52:10Carolina So Yeah I'm Not Ready To More In The Sly He Only Did It Like 15 Of His Snaps Last Year
52:17And If That Doubles That's Taking A Roll Away From Jalen Coker I Think That Hell He's Just Saying Bye Dave Looks
52:2440 Dave It Looks I Didn't Have White Goatee Hair When You Met Me But Other Than That Basically The Same And
52:32Eric Says Adam Is The Pick By Pick League And Auction League Using Quan As Currency That's A very Good Jerry McGuire
52:39Reference One I Would Not Have Gotten Had Not Watched It Dave Has B.
52:44John Robinson Saquon Barkley He Went Running Back Running Back Ameca Buka Tedder O McMillan And Tyler Warren And He's On The
52:51Clock What's Wrong With Going Running Back Running Back Especially When You're Getting B.
52:56John At Third Overall And Saquon Barkley In Late Round Two I Thought Those Were Excellent Values Yeah I Don't I Would
53:03Not Use The Word Excellent I Mean They're Basically Going They Basically Went Where They Are Supposed To Go Maybe Well I Mean B.
53:11John Usually Should Go Second Yeah I Think Chase Over B.
53:15John I I Welcomed That Because It Was Easy For Me I I I'm Taking Whoever You Don't Take At Three Or
53:22Whoever You Don't Take You've Had Second Pick Gibbs One One Everybody Can Figure It Out You're Taking Who's Left But I'm Going To Take Brian Thomas Jr.
53:32Because It's A Three Receiver League Even Better When Was He Taking Three Picks Oh Yeah There He Is He Took Him
53:39We'll Read Sorry For Wasting Your Time We'll Read Some Emails And Tweets To Finish The Show From David I Love The
53:46Potential For Luther Burden However As The Wide Receiver 23 Going In The Fourth Round Are We Drafting Luther Burden Near His
53:54Ceiling I Don't Think So I Think It's A Little Close To A Ceiling I Think He's Right I Has Yeah Go
54:01He Can Be Like A Top 15 Receiver That's Ceiling There's Enough Receivers In Between Where He Could End Up And Where
54:08We're Drafting And That It's It's Okay But He's Popular And He's A Good Player The Film Showed That Oh Yeah Yeah
54:16All Right From Zach I Guess My Real Question Is Why Is Three Running Backs In The First Three Rounds Not Used
54:23More He Zach Like Running Backs The First Three Rounds Right So Starting Running Back Maybe It Was Oh Maybe It Was
54:30Dave's Second Team To With Josh Jacobs If He Had Fallen To You So You Had The Opportunity To Take B.
54:37John Barkley And Jacobs You Took Abuka And Then You Also Had The Opportunity Potentially If You Had Fall One More Spot
54:45To Take Cook Brown And Then Jacobs Clearly You Is The Seventh Pick Taylor Walker Abuka Brees Hall I Could Have Easily
54:52Taken Brees Hall In The Third Round Which Is Kind Of Close To His ADP And Then I Would Have Been Chasing
55:00Receivers Even More So I Don't Love It Okay Yeah I Believe That Receiver Is Weak Now Then It's Really Hard To
55:07Leave Your Draft Without A Really Without A Stud Without Taking One In The First Two Rounds Or Maybe Early In The
55:14Third Round Not Necessarily Because I Think There Are Enough Wide Receivers That You Can Make A Bull Upside Case For That
55:22Aren't Going There Is Really Like What Maybe Ten Wide Receivers That You Would Classify That Way Adam I Like To Think
55:29More But More Like 12 Let's See It's Not That Much More Yeah You Might Be Right Well Wide Receiver Ten In
55:36Our Consensus Is Pickens Then AJ Brown I'll Say 11 Yeah AJ Brown Should Definitely Be In There Pickens Should Probably Be
55:44No It's Not It's Not But If You're Right That Being Said In A Full PPR Three Receiver One Flex League I
55:51Get Why People Would Want To Prioritize That Position Okay Oh Last Last Question Is From Lindsay Wolf Lindsay Says I Haven't
55:58Heard Too Much About Which TV Shows You Guys Are Watching I Love The Debates Is Anyone Watching House Of The Dragon
