0:00I recently took a trip to Memphis for the FFT Draft-a-thon.
0:03While we were there, we also got to experience a little bit of what makes Memphis so special, including some of the food the city is famous for.
0:12We had Memphis-style barbecue with pulled pork, ribs, and all the classic sides.
0:16It was an incredible trip, especially getting to spend time with everyone involved, enjoy some great local food, and support a cause
0:23that means so much to all of us. And while I was away enjoying the trip, my place back home was just sitting empty.
0:30It got me thinking, if you're going to be away anyway, why not put that space to use?
0:36While you're traveling or taking off for a long weekend, you could list your space on Airbnb and earn some extra cash while you're gone.
0:43And when big events come to your city, like a major game, concert, festival, or convention, travelers are looking for places to stay.
0:50Listing your space on Airbnb can be a way to welcome those visitors to your city while putting your space to work
0:57and earning some extra cash that you can put toward your next trip.
1:01Your home might be worth more than you think.
1:04Find out how much at Airbnb.com slash host. I'll be honest with you.
1:08I've never really enjoyed shopping for clothes. It's just not my thing.
1:12But I do like getting nice clothes, and I like looking good, and I like feeling confident when I get dressed.
1:18So what's the solution here? It's Stitch Fix. This is an online personal styling service that has helped so many people get better style effortlessly.
1:26So stop scrolling through a bunch of websites, and stop driving to stores, and just go to Stitch Fix.
1:32Here's how it works. It's very simple. You take a quick style quiz.
1:36You share your size, your vibe, your budget. You're gonna get linked with a stylist, and an actual human being, by the way.
1:43So you get linked to the stylist, and they do the rest of the work.
1:47You get sent a fix box with clothes that actually fit you and make sense for your style and your needs, and then you try them on.
1:56You keep what you like. You send back what you want to return.
2:00The returns are free. The shipping is free. No subscription is required.
2:03And you're gonna get a free try-on for your first order.
2:07So get started today at stitchfix.com slash football. That's stitchfix.com slash football.
2:10This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports. What a play!
2:14It's time to dominate your fantasy league. Off to the races, and he stays on his feet.
2:19Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
2:22Big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big show today.
2:25Super fun, jam-packed, lots of stuff. Gonna help you get ready for your drafts.
2:29We are fired up. Adam, Dave, and Jamie, are you guys ready to start?
2:34Because we are preparing this ship for Ludicrous Speed.
2:36Here we go! Okay, coming up today, draft tips, updated tiers, and hey, real quick.
2:41Hey, real quick. Maximum two-word answer edition. Who are you?
2:44Wait, wait, wait. Is Ludicrous Speed in the sequel?
2:47I don't know. I don't know. Oh, you know.
2:50It's gotta be something even faster than Ludicrous Speed.
2:52Agreed. You know. I have no idea if it's a sequel.
2:56Did you suggest anything for the sequel? Did you text Dan and be like, hey, by the way, there's this one thought I had.
3:03Hmm. I think so. I don't think he took the advice.
3:07My friend is one of the writers of Spaceballs, too.
3:10So I don't know anything about it. And a key holder to the city of Coral Springs.
3:15That's right. And Rick Moranis is in it. That's all I know.
3:19Okay. Hey, real quick. Maximum two-word answer edition. Who are you taking fourth overall?
3:23Pukunakua. Pukunakua. James Cook, Jonathan Taylor, or Christian McCaffrey?
3:26Jonathan Taylor. Taylor. George Pickens or Nico Collins? Nico.
3:28Nico. Rasheed Rice or Chris Olave? Olave. Olave. Malik Neighbors or Devante Smith?
3:32Neighbors. Malik. Wow. Everything you agree on. Garrett Wilson or Luther Burden?
3:36Wilson. G-Dub. Jeremiah Love. Wait, no. I did it wrong.
3:39Jeremiah Love or DeAndre Swift? Swift. You did full hootie.
3:42I'll take Love. Jeremiah. Sorry. That was terrible. Marshawn Lloyd or Ramondre Stevenson?
3:46Madre. Ramondre. Devante Adams or Jamison Williams? Adams. Double-checking, double-checking.
3:49I've got... Why can't I find him? I've got Jamo Hire.
3:53No, I don't. I have Devante Hire. God, just what I thought we were going to have a disagreement.
3:59Sam Laporta or Tucker Craft? Laporta. Craft. Hey, there we go.
4:02Kyle Pitts or George Kittle? Pitts. Not Kittle. Caleb Williams or Justin Herbert?
4:06Herbert. Herbie. Drake May or Joe Burrow? May. It's gonna be May.
4:10The best single value at quarterback is? Jordan Love.
4:12Goff. Yeah, I went with Goff as well. He's going after pick 100.
4:16Best single value at running back is? Um... While you think about it, I'm gonna go with Travis Achan at the 3-4 turn.
4:23Are we talking about... We're talking about ADP, obviously.
4:26We're talking about ADP. I've been looking at recent ADP on NFC.
4:30I've also been looking at the real-time ADP on Fantasy Pros, which is pretty good.
4:34Um... He's about a 3-4 turn pick in Travis Achan, so that's my pick.
4:39I'd like to know what the ADP is now for Dowdle and Corum.
4:43All right. So, Dowdle is 83rd as RB29 in the real-time ADP...
4:46Okay. ...for Fantasy Pros. And Corum is 96th overall, RB36.
4:50Bang! Blake Corum. Uh... Jordan Mason. And Jordan Mason is...
4:53Okay. Jordan Mason is one pick after Blake Corum.
4:55Okay. Uh... Best value at wide receiver? I'm going with Quentin Johnson.
4:59Is Parker Washington still going in round 7? Um...
5:02I will tell you in a moment. I went with Quentin Johnston, who's going around pick 100.
5:07Uh... Parker Washington is 64th overall, so he's in round 6.
5:10And he's in round 6. Jalen Coker. Better than that.
5:13Coker, 134. Uh... Where's Concepcion? 100 and... 12th. Wide receiver.
5:17One more. Jordan Addison. Addison is 104th. Wide receiver 44.
5:20All right. I'll say Concepcion, but... Each of the three wide receiver names you just heard are all very, very good.
5:26That would be... Where's Jaden Reed? Jaden Reed in the real time is just ahead of...
5:31It goes Quentin Johnston at wide receiver 40. Jaden Reed.
5:34Josh Downs. Josh Downs. Dijon Stribling. Jordan Addison. I love that group.
5:38Yeah, me too. The group. Okay. Um... And then best value at tight end?
5:42Likely. Hey, that's what I said too. He is only a top 100 pick on CBS.
5:47Uh... NFC last seven days. Fantasy pros real time.
5:50Still not a top 100 pick. And he's like 96th on CBS.
5:53Isaiah Likely. All right. Check out our must draft list online.
5:57CBSSports.com. Check out the Sunday YouTube streams. We are live 11 a.m.
6:01till kickoff. And then even earlier when there's games in Europe or overseas.
6:05And check out the mailbag show tonight. Yes, we're doing a Thursday night mailbag instead of a Friday afternoon mailbag.
6:11And it is still going to be airing on Saturday.
6:14But we're recording it tonight at 10.30 p.m. Eastern if you want to join us live.
6:19Time for our draft day tips. Two from each of us.
6:22Dave, give me your two draft day tips. Start with the most obvious one.
6:26The one that applies to literally everybody. Know your league scoring and lineup requirements before you go into your draft.
6:32Make sure you know if it's non, half, full PPR.
6:36Two wide receiver. Three wide receiver. One flex. Two flex.
6:39Do you need to start a tight end? Is it super flex?
6:42Are there IR spots? How many are there? Can you use them near advantage during the draft?
6:48All things you've got to know before you go into the selection process.
6:52It's actually, it seems obvious, but it really is a great point.
6:55A lot of times I don't read the rules and it's pretty stupid.
6:59Number two for you, Dave. Most of your bench should be high upside plays and not safe guys.
7:05You don't need a wide receiver six. You don't need a third tight end.
7:09You don't necessarily need to have two quarterbacks and two tight ends.
7:13Waver wire is your friend for those positions. Just load up your bench with players who you're happy to carry on your
7:20team going into week one and then reevaluate after week one.
7:23We all know that our fantasy teams are going to look very different by the time we get to December and January than they do now.
7:31Use it to your advantage and just take as many upside shots as you can, especially in the second half of your draft.
7:38Dave says, know your league scoring and roster settings and most of your bench should be high upside players who you'll want
7:45to hold on to for at least the first three weeks of the season.
7:49Jamie, your two draft day tips. You don't have to draft for need.
7:53You can draft for talent. You should draft for talent.
7:56So once you start to see how your team is starting to shape out, you don't necessarily have to fill that second
8:03running back spot when a bench receiver could be better for your team.
8:07You don't have to take your quarterback when other running back depth could be better for your team.
8:12We had this conversation with our super flex draft that we did where you were telling me, oh, I need a quarterback.
8:19And I said, no, I'm not going to pass on good players because I just need to fill a spot.
8:25So I think just understand that once you start to see the core of your team come together, make sure you go
8:32out and get the most talent that you possibly can.
8:35Is it talent or I mean, you could probably say it's the exact same thing.
8:40Talent or value? I would look at a draft and say, oh, I can't believe this dude has slipped to this spot.
8:46I know I need an RB2. The best RB2 on the board is like Basial Tootin.
8:51But, you know, here's Jamison Williams sitting there for me.
8:54I can't pass that up. Okay. Jamie, your second tip?
8:58You don't have to draft your own handcuffs. Steal somebody else's.
9:01Do you prefer that to drafting your own handcuff?
9:041000% I prefer it. I mean, I'm not going to ignore drafting my own handcuff if it makes the most sense.
9:10But I drafted that particular running back or running backs because I think they're going to have great seasons, not because I'm expecting them to get injured.
9:18So if I can take that player and then take somebody else's player that I think might get injured or have a
9:25better chance to outperform that person, I'm going to do that to hopefully maximize my roster.
9:30And here are my two draft day tips for you.
9:33Number one, ignore ADP if you believe in a player, especially in the mid rounds.
9:38I've done the research. I've looked at the players that have hit in the mid rounds.
9:43You're just as likely to have a fifth or a sixth round pick hit as a fourth round pick.
9:49I mean, that might be a slight exaggeration, but ADP kind of goes out the window.
9:53The only time you should really pay attention to ADP is if you definitely feel like you can get that player you want with your next pick.
10:02Then it becomes a reach. But if you're not sure you can get that player, don't worry about what the consensus is saying.
10:09Trust your gut. Get your guy. Number two, looking at our FFT league.
10:13This is a 12-team league that we do in the office.
10:16It's a really good competitive league. It's a three-receiver PPR league.
10:20The last five teams that won the FFT league, they did not.
10:23Only one of them took a quarterback before round seven.
10:26A lot of them took quarterbacks that weren't even really that good.
10:30My point is quarterback is definitely the position that you can wait on.
10:34Josh Allen might be the most consistent, most productive, most reliable, steady player in fantasy football.
10:39He might be the worst value in all of fantasy football because not only can you draft a quarterback that can win
10:46you a league, a lot of times you can pick up a quarterback that can win you a league.
10:52It just sort of happens that way in a one-quarterback league.
10:55So if you're just not feeling great about your team, you're in round three or four, you don't like to just keep
11:02waiting on quarterback and you're going to be okay.
11:04All right. Let's get into the players we love brought to you by Stitch Fix.
11:09If you're like me and clothes shopping isn't your thing, Stitch Fix has you covered.
11:14Get styled today at stitchfix.com slash football. Dave, one of the guys I wanted to talk about you already mentioned, and it's Blake Corum.
11:21Dan Graziano of ESPN wrote a sort of like surprising or bold prediction for each team.
11:26I went back and looked at his column last year, and it was pretty good.
11:31He had some good things that were helpful for fantasy managers.
11:34He had some misses, of course. But one of the things he said was that don't be surprised if Blake Corum overtakes
11:41Kyron Williams at some point this season. You talked about him as a great value that you love.
11:46Later things going, 96 Blake Corum. So I'm really getting excited about drafting him.
11:51When's the earliest you think you'd take Corum? Eight.
11:53Round eight. And it's with the idea that he can earn more playing time in an offense that could see a lot of run favorable game scripts.
12:02We already know about Miles Garrett, Aaron Donald being added to a really good defense.
12:06You forget about the secondary additions that they made.
12:09So this could be a team that gets a lot of takeaways and dominates offensively and really just dominates time of possession.
12:16And when that happens, you're going to see a team run the football a lot.
12:20So Kyron is obviously still the running back that I want in this backfield, but I'm not taking him in round three anymore.
12:27He's a round four pick. I went back and I double checked.
12:31There were 11 games last year where Blake Corum played at least 30% of the snaps and he averaged almost nine PPR points per game.
12:39And you'll say, well, Dave, that sucks. I don't want a guy that's going to give me nine PPR points per game.
12:46Well, what if the 30% jumps to 40%? What if it jumps to what Dan Graziano is suggesting and it's 50%?
12:52What if he ends up being a more explosive version of himself and a more explosive version of Kyron Williams?
12:58And if that's going to be the case, and we know that Corum has worked on that this offseason and there's video
13:05evidence of it and Sean McVay's talked about it, then this might be the running back to get on the team that
13:12could end up dominating time of possession and having arguably one of the best run games in the National Football League.
13:18I will take that chance in the middle of my draft.
13:22Yep. And in those last 11 games when they both were getting a lot of work, the Rams were number one in
13:28the NFL in it was either carries per game or running back carries per game.
13:33So that setup is still probably both because they didn't have a quarterback that was going to take a bunch of runs.
13:40Well, it was definitely running back carries per game.
13:42I don't know if it was total carries per game because the teams with the mobile quarterbacks, you know, stink up their obvious.
13:50Oh, I see. Yes. Jamie, you got a player you love?
13:53Do I give you one? Think about maybe players that you've been drafting a lot lately.
13:58I don't know if I gave you one that I'm supposed to say.
14:02No, you didn't. You did not. That I've been drafting a lot?
14:06Jayden Reed. You know, just looking at the situation for what the Packers are facing right now, I think it just sets
14:12up very well for him to be a potential starter in three receiver leagues.
14:17I like the fact that from people getting excited about him, that his ADP is rising.
14:22I don't like it that I have to draft him a little sooner than I want to.
14:27But again, when he's been healthy, he's been amazing.
14:2923 games in his career with at least five targets.
14:33He gets usually 13 PPR points or more in more than half of those.
14:37So I'm expecting more volume for the Packers. I think they all benefit.
14:41Christian Watson, Tucker Craft, Matthew Golden. But Reed is very cheap and should be very productive.
14:46Okay. Those are some players we love. So thank you to Stitch Fix for sponsoring today's Players We Love.
14:52Stitch Fix takes the hassle out of clothes shopping.
14:54Just take a quick style quiz, share your size, your vibe, and your budget, and you're going to be matched with a

15:15It's because I really don't like clothes shopping. And this made it a lot easier and a lot better and a lot more fun.

15:28We've got your updated news and notes. And we're going to get into some updated tiers as you get ready to draft
15:34this weekend and maybe even before this weekend. We'll be right back on Fantasy Football today.

18:22And welcome back, everybody. News and notes. Green Bay GM Brian Guttenkuss says he is hopeful that Josh Jacobs will play at some point in 2026.
18:30So that was, let's see, that was Sunday the news broke.
18:34So Monday was the 31st, right? Let's take a look at the 31st through the 2nd of ADP and see where these guys are going now.
18:42Updated here. Marshawn Lloyd is RB28. So it's Bucky Irving, Jadarion Price, Travion Henderson, Ramondre Stevenson, Jalen Warren, and Marshawn Lloyd, and then Jonathan Brooks.
18:50Warren, Lloyd, and Brooks all have basically the same exact ADP.
18:53Jamie, how would you rank Jalen Warren, Marshawn Lloyd, Jonathan Brooks?
18:56Marshawn Lloyd, Jonathan Brooks, Jalen Warren. Same. Okay. Thank you, Dave.
19:00Sorry. Dave said the same. And then for Josh Jacobs, he is going 122nd, basically as a handcuff.
19:05Kyle Medongai, Mike Washington, Josh Jacobs, Tyler Algier, Jonah Coleman.
19:08Would you take Chris Rodriguez or Josh Jacobs? Rodriguez.
19:11Depends what I need, but probably Rodriguez. Okay. I kind of just, I put Josh Jacobs right where I have Zach Charbonnet.
19:18Like maybe he plays at some point soon. Maybe he doesn't play at all.
19:22We just don't know. So the difference is, and this was a, I got this question yesterday.
19:27I'm sure we all have. Can you stash Jacobs in an IR spot?
19:31And I said, no, I got a lot of different replies to that.
19:35From wrong people? Well, I mean, look, we could sit here and say from a commissioner standpoint, what we would do.
19:42If you're in a league that's going to allow it, you're going to take advantage of it.
19:47Oh yeah. So, you know, there, there, there was a lot of people arguing about that when I said no, you know,
19:54that why, why would I not take advantage of putting him in an IR spot if my league allows it?
20:00Oh, of course. You're just, your league shouldn't allow it.
20:03What does IR stand for again? Indefinitely retired. Oh, okay.
20:06Well then Jacobs belongs, but impending retirement. It's injured reserve.
20:09He's not injured. He shouldn't be allowed on the IR.
20:12Yeah. Kirk cousins is going to be the Raiders week one starter.
20:16And Clint Kubiak is optimistic about Ashton Jenty playing in week one.
20:20So the cousins news is not too surprising. And Jamie and I were asked about the impact of cousins on fantasy, you
20:26know, on, on CBS sports HQ last night. And I said, you know, he's got over the last two years since he
20:33tore his Achilles, he's got the second fastest time to throw or release point.
20:37Like only, only to a tongue of a low has gotten.
20:41I love how you had to explain that. It's hard.
20:44I don't know the best way to say it.
20:47Only to, he's not the fastest thrower has thrown the ball faster.
20:50I gotten rid of the ball quicker than Kirk cousins over the last two years.
20:55It's a low a dot stuff. He doesn't take a lot of sacks, get the ball out.
21:00And you have to figure that's going to favor Bowers and Jenty.
21:04I would anyway, um, San Francisco defensive end, Nick Bosa could play in week one, Mike Evans practice.
21:09That's a good sign. Ben John made the flight.
21:12Yep. Ben Johnson said he needs to get Roma duns a the football because he's doing all the little things to help the team win games.
21:20He's talked up everyone. So keep that in mind.
21:23A Mecca Buka ran around and looked pretty good.
21:26The Twitter doctors liked what they saw. Jacksonville third down back.
21:29LaQuint Allen seems questionable for week one. Liam Cohen said he'd be pleasantly surprised if Allen played.
21:34He ran almost all of the third down routes last year and had eight targets on third down.
21:40So I don't know. It's a huge deal here and it's not a long-term thing.
21:44Uh, Dave Canales is very optimistic about Jonathan Brooks playing in week one.
21:48Detroit GM Brad Holmes gave no timetable for Isaiah Pacheco.
21:51He's hopeful that he returns this season. He says Pacheco is getting better.
21:55Um, Jacob sailors is currently looking like the number two guys.
21:59I've mentioned three shows in a row. Now the Falcons plan to have Michael Penix jr.
22:04Start eventually for them. According to Cameron Wolf of NFL network, Baltimore GM, Eric DaCosta expect expressed optimism about defensive tackle.
22:10Nnamdi Matabuke playing this, uh, playing soon. They didn't put them on IR.
22:14So he could be back soon. He's a very important player for their defense.
22:19Khalil Shakir has not been practicing, but there's optimism that he'll be ready for week one.
22:23And Shakir actually had a huge game against Houston.
22:26Uh, CBS, our research team sent out a note about Josh Allen's history against Houston.
22:31Uh, it is bad, especially in Houston. Two of those games are recent.
22:35Two of those games were super early in his career, but, uh, I think it's like one touchdown, three interceptions in his last two games in Houston.
22:43And the guy who had the big game last year was Khalil Shakiri at eight catches for 110 yards on 10 targets.
22:50All right. Hey, here we are with Jamie's updated tears.
22:53We want you all to have the most updated information.
22:56By the way, today's a good day. If you have any questions in the chat, try to save some time at the
23:03end of the show, some questions, last minute stuff for your draft, but let's go through Jamie's updated quarterback tears.
23:09And Dave will critique tier one is Josh Allen.
23:12Tier two is Lamar Jackson, Drake may Joe Burrow, Jaden Daniels, and Jalen hurts.
23:16So again, Allen and tier one and Dave, it's a five player tier in tier two, Jackson may Burrow, Daniels hurts.
23:22It with the understanding that Jackson through hurts in Jamie's tears are probably quarterbacks that you're going to look to take between rounds four and seven.
23:30I'm, I'm good with it. I've got hurts one spot out of Daniels.
23:34I understand why Jamie has Daniels ahead of hurts.
23:37Both of them have huge upside. Both of them tied to rushing.
23:41I just, I prefer hurts a little bit more.
23:44I like the offense that he's in a little bit more, certainly like his offensive line and his chances to survive the
23:50season a little bit more than Jaden. Daniels. Am I nitpicking?
23:54But I said that Allen should have his own tier and Jackson should have his own tier.
23:59I just put Allen and Jackson in the same tier, understanding that Allen's going to go ahead of Jackson in every single draft.
24:06Jamie, is there a, what kind of difference is there between Lamar Jackson and Drake may Joe Burrow, Jane Daniels, Jaden hurts.
24:13I think just, you said it earlier that he's just safer, you know?
24:17So Allen is the most tried and true fantasy option.
24:20I think out there with the worst ADP. I'm sorry if I said Allen, I meant Jackson, Jackson versus the other four guys in tier two.
24:28You see them as basically the same or you see a difference?
24:32No, I mean, there's the sliding scale, obviously that's why one's ranked ahead of the other.
24:37But I think as Dave said, that's kind of, I do it by a, by a draft range as opposed to, you
24:43know, where, where, uh, how I rank them. Cause otherwise you just have them ranked.
24:48But, um, I, I think you're going to see, and you should Jackson's going to be probably around ahead of everybody else,
24:55but yeah, you can make an argument that Allen Jackson would be a tier by himself.
25:00Sure. All right. So what's, what's the best value Jackson for 39th, whoever you get last.
25:04Well, I don't know because like, I think Jackson's a lot better than Jalen hurts.
25:09I'm willing to take him two rounds earlier than Jalen hurts.
25:12Sure. Lamar Jackson, my case, he averaged 30 points per game.
25:16Two years ago was the best quarterback was arguably the best pick in fantasy.
25:20Then he was even better than that last year before he got hurt, scored more than 33 points in each of his
25:27first three games, bad game against the chiefs, got hurt, came back, did it again against the dolphins, then kept getting hurt.
25:34So I'm, you know, that's my case. You just got to worry at this point in his career, is he going to run as much, you know?
25:42So where's, where's the ceiling for him? Because as good as he is, as a, as a passer, I don't want to
25:49rely on him strictly as a passer. I need him to be a great rusher on top of it.
25:55So if we're starting to see a 500 yard rusher, comparatively to a 700 yard rusher, I think that brings them closer to the field.
26:02But you're right. I mean, look, when he hits, he hits big.
26:06All right. Next time. Mon can kind of let it out of the bag this week that last year in Baltimore, Lamar
26:13got, he hurt his right hamstring and it happened not while he was necessarily running, but just avoiding pressure and that he just wasn't the same after that.
26:21Yeah. And so hopefully that leg is healed up and he's able to plant on it.
26:26And that'll obviously improve his accuracy. I have no problem taking him as the second QB off the board.
26:32We have a question. Does the tier for QB change?
26:35If it's a six point per touchdown pass league.
26:38And that's what these tears are. Actually, we, we do base ours mostly on six point.
26:43All right. Tier one, Alan tier two, Jackson, May Burrow, Daniels hurts.
26:47Let's go to the next tiers. Tier three, Prescott, Herbert, Lawrence, Caleb Williams, Dak Prescott, Herbert, Lawrence, Caleb Williams, Dave, I slightly disagree with the order.
26:55I would put Herbert ahead of Dak, but I would love to get one of these four quarterbacks.
27:00This is the next tier where let's say I just miss on those first six.
27:05I want to get one of these quarterbacks as late as I possibly can.
27:09So if I'm getting the last of these four and we're talking about maybe round nine, I'm pretty happy with that.
27:15I don't really think. Yes, but I think you have to go to round eight, maybe seven for these guys.
27:22Like, would you take the last of Prescott, Herbert, Lawrence, and Caleb in round eight or keep waiting for the next tier?
27:28If it's late round eight, I suppose it's fine.
27:31Jamie, are you comfortable with Dak? I mean, Dak's not going to make it till round eight, Herbert, Lawrence, Caleb in round
27:38eight, or, or just wait till the next year.
27:41I would wait till the next tier, but again, it's knowing your league, right?
27:45Because in the leagues that we play in, with each other, we know that quarterbacks are going to fall in the leagues
27:52that we see where there's, you know, people who don't do this for a living, they take quarterbacks a little bit sooner.
27:58So it's just a matter of, you know, what you expect and how you see the value come off the board.
28:05And just knowing that Jared Goff and Kyler Murray and Jordan love and the sliding scale love should be in tier four,
28:12by the way, that's, um, I haven't updated the latest, latest, latest, latest version.
28:16Um, but, uh, those type of quarterbacks will still give you 20 plus points per game.
28:21They may not give you 24 plus points per game.
28:24So it's just a matter of when do you think the cutoff is and how quickly do you want to wait till
28:31the next, or how long do you want to wait till the next year to get a guy that just has a little bit less of a ceiling?
28:39The cutoff is the most important point of all we've named 10 quarterbacks so far.
28:44Everybody should be comfortable with any of those 10, but if you start hearing the names that are in Jamie's next tier
28:51and you go, Oh, I don't know if I feel good about starting any of those guys, then you need to prioritize getting one of those 10.
28:59It doesn't mean you have to reach for them, but certainly when you get to this tier of a, for me, it's
29:06Herbert, Dak, Trevor, Caleb, that's when you should be targeting and just put the periscope up saying, all right, now it's the
29:13time for me to get one of these quarterbacks.
29:15Okay. Let's take a look at tier four. Then again, tier three was Dak, Herbert, Trevor Lawrence, Caleb Williams.
29:21Tier four starts with Brock Purdy. Brock Purdy has been a top six per game, two of the last three seasons and 11th per game.
29:29The other season, Brock Purdy, Matthew Stafford, MVP last year, Jared golf, who we keep drafting Jackson dart.
29:34Who's just really fallen a lot. It's crazy. Kyler Murray, Bo Nix and Patrick Mahomes.
29:39Again, tier four is Purdy Stafford golf dart, Kyler Murray, Bo Nix and Patrick Mahomes.
29:44And Jamie, what's your message about tier four? It's great place to be.
29:48You know, if you're comfortable waiting for quarterback, it's going to be one of the best players.
29:53I think you get based on what their costs could be.
29:56So again, I don't know if there's consistent 24 plus point per game players here, but there are guys that have done it before.
30:04You know, golf was just short of that in 2024.
30:07Stafford obviously did it last year, but the two years prior was not there.
30:11Kyler's done it a couple of times in his career.
30:14Purdy's obviously done it a couple of times in his career.
30:17You know, I, my homes obviously has done it last year.
30:21Yeah. He's the one that probably makes me the most nervous just because again, the rushing is probably going to crater.
30:27And then you're talking about the guy that two years prior when he wasn't running as much was at 20, under 21 points per game.
30:35You know, he's 20 point something both those years.
30:38So I think again, the sliding scale being what it is, you know, just knowing what you're getting.
30:43And as I said before, I would put Jordan love in this tier because when he throws, uh, he has been very good.
30:50So 2023, when he only earned his career, that he averaged over 30 past attempts per game, he was at 23 points
30:57per game for over 23 points per game for the season.
31:00And if you look in his career, he's got 26 games with at least 30 past attempts and he averages 23 fantasy points per game in those outings.
31:09So when he throws, he's good. And hopefully that's going to be the case.
31:13Dave, do you have any, any critiques on Purdy Stafford, golf, dart, Kyler, Bo Nix, my homes and Jordan love.
31:19The biggest nitpick is Kyler who just hasn't shown us over the last few years that he's still capable of being better than an above average starter.
31:28And I know that he's tied to some great wide receivers.
31:31And of course I'm taking Justin Jefferson top 15 and I love the value on Jordan Addison.
31:36I'm just, I'm nervous with Kyler and I would not put him in the same tier as, golf, Purdy, my home Stafford.
31:43I also think Bo Nix who is in Jamie's tier.
31:46I think he's got some huge upside to love the addition of Jalen Waddle on that offense.
31:51We've seen some huge games from Bo Nix. And I think that team could really be humming this year on both sides of the ball.
31:59I really think that they're a legitimate contender and I don't think that they're going to be as run heavy as maybe we're expecting them to be.
32:07I think that they're going to lean into bow more than their run game, but golf is the one golf and Purdy
32:14are the two who have moved to the most for me.
32:18This, this whole training camp preseason the last month.
32:20I love Heath's argument for Brock Purdy, where you just take his career averages and you apply it to a higher passing
32:27rate and the end result should be really good.
32:30And if we're nervous about McCaffrey, then obviously Brock Purdy can step up.
32:34But golf to me is the biggest riser of all.
32:37He went counter from a fantasy afterthought with a high floor to maybe a top five fantasy QB because he's going to
32:44still have that high floor, but the lions defense is not improved.
32:47Secondary is in real bad shape. They've got maybe three good defenders to begin the year for, if you include their rookie pass rusher.
32:55And I just think that there's going to be a lot of high scoring games, little worried about the offensive line, but
33:01I think the lions can more than make up for it.
33:05They did last year golf to me as somebody who I think could be just one of the biggest steals on draft day.
33:12Yeah. Look, we still have Baker Mayfield, not on this list.
33:15We still have Daniel Jones, who was terrific last year.
33:18We have Malik Willis. We have Tyler Shuck. We're not going to get to everybody.
33:23We're going to go to running backs next, but last question, Jamie Purdy, Stafford, golf, dart, Kyler, Bo Nix, Patrick, my homes, Jordan love.
33:30That's tier four for you. Is this basically, are you saying this is the last group that you should feel comfortable with
33:37as your starting quarterback for your roster? No, the next tier would be, you know, so, okay.
33:42Um, you know, you don't want to have to rely on that because, you know, 12 team league, you shouldn't be, you
33:49know, having to draft QB 16, 17, 18, 19, whatever the case may be.
33:53Uh, you know, I think Baker's 21. Um, but that being said, you know, Willis could be the best running quarterback in the NFL this year.
34:01Shuck was great last year and Kellen Moore's history with quarterbacks is, is fantastic.
34:06And so I think you just got to understand, like, if you get to this point, you probably want to draft too.
34:12You definitely want to draft too. But if you, uh, if you're a little bit, you know, comfortable knowing that there's going
34:19to be a lot of volatility, then you, you wait as long as you possibly can.
34:24I just wouldn't want to wait too, too long for these, these guys.
34:28Okay. Let's go to running back tiers then. And we'll start right at the top tier one is Gibbs and Bijon.
34:35Tier two is Taylor cook, Chase Brown and McCaffrey.
34:37And yeah, if you're new to the show, we love chase Brown.
34:41Um, okay. I don't think any, any need to stay on that Gibbs and just, just for clarity.
34:47These are half PPR tears. Oh, okay. Good to know.
34:50And that's important because chase Brown, it seems, it feels like he's more valuable in PPR, but he still can be so good in half PPR.
34:58All right. Gibbs, Bijon one, Taylor cook, chase Brown, McCaffrey.
35:01It's here too. Let's see. It's here three Walker, Hampton, HN, Henry, Barkley, Gentie.
35:05So that's the top 12 that we've been talking about.
35:08Those first, uh, six on the first two tiers.
35:11Tier three is Walker, Hampton, HN, Henry, Barkley, Gentie.
35:14We think it's a good idea to get one of them.
35:17You don't have to, but try to get one and don't be afraid to get two.
35:22But the question is, Jamie is Ashton Gentie, excuse me, Ashton Gentie still in that tier with Walker, Hampton, HN, Henry, and Barkley.
35:29I struggled with it, you know, and the fact that he's expected to play week one, I think justifies keeping him in this tier.
35:36So this was basically the guys. I think originally like the first few times I did this thing, this is the third version of tiers.
35:44They'll be, this will just be up there. I'm not going to do a fourth version.
35:49The, it was easy to put Gentie with this group because these are basically the round two guys.
35:55I have him ranked 26th overall, you know, so early round three, and then there's kind of a big cutoff tier four
36:01has changed a little bit just in terms of the ranking.
36:05But I think just looking at, at Gentie, no matter how much I think we're going to say safer in early round
36:11three at this point, he's still going to be around to pick.
36:15Yeah. You know what? Let's look at the real time, see where Gentie's going.
36:19PPR. Oh, he's going, yeah, he's going 20th. He's already 12.
36:23I mean, these 12 running backs are other than Gentie, because people might be hesitant are just so predictable in terms of
36:30it, not necessarily the order, but those are almost certainly going to be the top 12 running backs taken in drafts.
36:36Certainly the top 11. All right. So then it gets interesting after that tier four, Javante Williams, Kyron Williams, Travis H and
36:43Deandre Swift, Europe, Jeremiah love and Brees Hall. I just can't do it.
36:47Um, Javante, Kyron, H and Swift, love Brees Hall.
36:50And the, the updated order now would be just Kyron behind Swift.
36:53So that'd be Javante, H and Swift, Kyron, love Hall.
36:56Dave, what do you think about tier four? It's probably the tier that we've come across so far that I've got the
37:03most disagreement with my, my tier would have Javante love Kyron and Travis H and, and I would not have Swift and Brees Hall in that tier.
37:11They're being the tier below it just because I expect them to split more and not necessarily be in run heavy offensive game scripts from week to week.
37:20That's literally, that's the difference. It's not a huge difference.
37:23I would say that those six running backs would be in a, in a, in a group for me, like in the
37:30rankings that you'll see, you'll see Javante at the top.
37:33You'll see Brees Hall at the bottom. It's not like I've got Quinshot Judkins in there, Scadaboo in there.
37:39Like those guys are going later. So I think that that's fertile ground for RB two.
37:44And you should feel good about any of those six being an RB two.
37:48I just think that the first four Javante, Jeremiah, Kyron, H and are a little bit better than Swift and Hall.
37:54The thing that I love about Swift is Mononga's injury.
37:57Like we don't know how long this is going to linger.
38:01And if it lingers into the midway point of the season or longer, he could be a top 10 guy.
38:07I mean, there's just that much potential for him in this offense.
38:11I'm worried that they're still going to use another running back.
38:14Oh, I think that they will, but I don't think that running back will be as good as kind of a non guy.
38:21And I was thinking, no, I'm with you. And I would be more excited.
38:25And I do have Swift ranked higher than Brees Hall and half PPR.
38:29So I don't, I don't have a problem with that.
38:33I just still think Swift's around four pick, not around three pick.
38:36And we know that Brees Hall is just a guy that Dave is not feeling this year.
38:41So tier four for Jamie is Javante, H and Swift, Kyron love and hall for Dave.
38:46I'll have a good week. For Dave who's Brees Hall.
38:49Yeah. Yeah. Um, for David is Javante, Kyron, uh, Javante, Jeremiah, Kyron, HN, Travis, HN.
38:54Yeah. And then Swift and hall would not be in this tier, but I'll tell you who would be in this tier.
39:01And we're going to take a break. And we'll come back with Sears five and beyond at the running back position.
39:07Uh, we'll be right back on fantasy football today in business.

40:55Get started today. And welcome back. All right. We're through, what is that?
40:5916, 18 running backs, 18 running backs. Let's go to tiers five and six.
41:04Yep. Tricky part of the draft. Draft may be a part of the draft where you're going to like the wide receivers better.
41:11I think that's something to kind of keep in mind here.
41:14We're talking about DJ Moore, Devante Adams, Terry McLaurin, Parker Washington, Christian Watson going this range, but tier five.
41:20I was actually going to bring that up when you talking about tier four, because that was what, that's the group that
41:27Heath was talking about when he gets to that point.
41:30He still sees all those great wide receivers at the end of round three.
41:34It's true. However, like we love the wide receivers at the three, four term.
41:38We've been talking about it for so long. Those two, that group, like wide receivers, I want to say 13 through 18
41:45or something like that was so bad. Each of the last two years.
41:49Last year, it was Tyreek Hill. JSN was an amazing pick.
41:53Terry McLaurin, Mike Evans, Devante Adams, Garrett Wilson, Marvin Harrison, Jr.
41:56DJ Moore, DK Metcalf. Yeah. So that's, and the year before was bad too.
42:00It's weird how that's worked out, but I mean, it doesn't mean, that doesn't mean it's going to happen again this year.
42:07All right. Tier five at running back, Bucky Irving, Quinshon Judkins, Cam Scadaboo, David Montgomery, Jadarian Price, Bejal Tootin, Bucky, Judkins, Scadaboo, Montgomery, Price, Tootin.
42:15I feel like this is almost like kind of a make or break group here.
42:19Like big, big outcome possibilities here. And like I've said it, I said it a few days ago when I was talking
42:26about Marshawn Lloyd, a lot of round five and round six picks are bad.
42:30I mean, I went back and looked at the last two years and there's just a lot of busts and you can
42:37still win your fantasy league, but the outcomes, potential outcomes for tier five, Dave seemed crazy high to me.
42:43Crazy, you know, wild to me. Irving, Judkins, Scadaboo, Montgomery, Price, Tootin.
42:47What do you think about that tier? I mean, it's just like any other tier.
42:51You can make the boom case, you can make the bus case, but it's a lot easier for people to see the
42:58bus case than the boom case for this tier.
43:01The only name that I don't think I heard was Romandre Stevenson.
43:05I think he's earned to be in this tier two.
43:08Otherwise, no notes. This is a good tier. Okay.
43:10And what's the difference, Jamie, between tier five of Irving, Judkins, Scadaboo, Montgomery, Price, Tootin, and tier six of Marshawn Lloyd, Stevenson,
43:17Jonathan Brooks, Tony Pollard, and Travion Henderson. More questions in tier six, still questions in round five, but more questions in tier six.
43:24And just, you know, again, Stevenson is ahead of Lloyd.
43:27So another update that you'll see on the site.
43:30I think just looking at the guys in tier six, like we are expecting Stevenson to be the lead guy there, but
43:37at some point, if Henderson starts to look better, he's going to play more.
43:41And if there's an injury, could we get a Wally Pipp situation?
43:45Because Henderson is so talented. Lloyd, the questions are obvious.
43:48We just don't know if he's going to stay healthy and will he be the guy for however long Josh Jacobs is out.
43:55Still a mystery at this point. Pollard and Brooks are the ones that probably make him the most queasy just because Brooks
44:02will see how healthy he's going to be. And will he hold off Chuba Hubbard, who is now healthy and trending toward playing with one.
44:09And the Titans just look absolutely awful. So we'll see how that plays itself out.
44:14I do think it's going to be more growing pains with the Titans as they get a little bit more comfortable with
44:21the able system, but to what extent you're going to buy into trusting Tony Pollard remains at BC.
44:26I mean, I see a comment here. Tony Pollard is the most useless pick you could have.
44:31Where is the upside? And I just want to say that I, he averaged a hundred yards per game in the final five games last year.
44:39He did. He, and he just, he's kind of like breeze hall and that he's been on these terrible offenses and hasn't
44:46had a lot of goal line opportunities. So the up, the up there, I wouldn't use the word upside necessarily, but the,
44:53the, uh, appeal is that he's, he could be the lead running back on a better offense and, you know, be a good RB too.
45:01I don't think he's got RB one upside, but I want to say like, like I miss the episodes where we could
45:07just talk about a group of players, like tier five and tier six for an hour.
45:12And if you have questions, I kind of want to do like a, just a YouTube only live stream.
45:18I'll talk to the producers about it, but maybe I'll do it tomorrow afternoon since we don't have a mailbag.
45:24No one has to be there, but me, whatever.
45:27But, um, I just, I know you have questions and I feel like I would, I would love to answer them.
45:34So I don't mind doing something like that. If, if anybody, if anybody's interested in that, I think the, the, the, the
45:40point I made in the draft tips, like about taking talent versus taking need, you get to this tier and someone like
45:47Pollard, you could throw the Steelers running backs in there, the commanders running backs in there, JK Dobbins, those types of guys.
45:54They're going to fill a role for your fantasy team.
45:57Their upside is capped barring injury to probably who they share their backfield with.
46:01So unless you don't need these players, like this is the point in the draft.
46:06You should be pivoting to wide receivers because the talent pool is so much better.
46:10And so again, your build matters here, you know?
46:13So like if you need, you know, you go hero RB or zero RB, you're looking at a guy like Tony Pollard
46:20because the floor is going to be probably safe.
46:23It's not going to be great, but it's going to be safe.
46:26The ceiling is going to be okay. It's not going to be amazing.
46:30You're drafting for ceiling. You're drafting Henderson, but the floor is going to be terrible.
46:35You're drafting the Steelers guys. It's going to be potential headache almost the entire season.
46:40If they're both splitting reps, you know, maybe there's touchdown potential one more, maybe there's more receptions for the other.
46:46You get the point. The commanders running backs, even Jordan Mason, there's, there's a cap ceiling here as long as Aaron Jones is healthy.
46:53So you kind of get to this point in the, in the rankings of like 26 through 30, maybe through 40, you
47:00know, where you, you throw in the guys like Blake Corum and you throw in the guys like, um, Mike Washington or,
47:07you know, these, these handcuffs that will play, but are never going to be consistently great.
47:12as long as the starter is still there. So you're going to have to sort of just judge how your build is
47:18going and how you want to sort of construct your roster and mostly construct your bench.
47:23So I think it's just like, if you have a volatile RB too, so like a good pairing, I think could be
47:30Bucky Irving and Tony Pollard, for example, because Irving, we just don't know how this is all going to work out in Tampa with Gainwell and, and Tucker.
47:39And is it going to be a committee or, you know, Judkins because of the offense that he's on or scataboo with these guys.
47:46So like, you want to maybe pair that with a safer floor.
47:50Whereas if you're taking somebody that has high ceiling already and our safe floor already, like Trevion makes a ton of sense
47:56to just put on your bench first or Lloyd first, because if those guys hit, they're going to be absolute studs.
48:03All right, we're going to move on here. Again, I'll just recap for those of you listening.
48:08Tier five was Bucky Irving, Judkins, Scataboo, Montgomery, Price, and Tootin.
48:12Tier six is Marshawn Lloyd, Ramondre Stevenson, Travion Henderson, Tony Pollard, and Jonathan Brooks.
48:16And we'll finish with these tiers. Tier seven and eight.
48:19Tier seven is a big tier. Both Steelers guys, Jordan Mason.
48:22I put Lloyd twice. What'd you say? I put Lloyd twice, apparently.
48:26Oh, wow. Yeah. I would love to drive Marshawn Lloyd twice.
48:29Rico Daddle and Jalen Warren, Jordan Mason, JK Dobbins, Ja'Cory Krosky-Merritt, Kenneth Gainwell, Blake Corum, Rashad White, Mike Washington Jr.
48:36and RJ Harvey. I guess it's a little interesting to see guys like Rashad White and Mike Washington Jr.
48:41when you're in the same tier as Rico Daddle and Jalen Warren or Mason, I get, I don't know.
48:47It's a big tier, Jamie. Just give me your thoughts.
48:50It's kind of the blob at running back, right?
48:53When you get to this point in the draft, again, it's what, what makes the most sense for your team?
48:59Krosky-Merritt probably has a higher ceiling than JK Dobbins, but we don't know how that's all going to play out with Rashad
49:06White, most likely playing on passing downs. I think in PPR, you know, I gave this stat, I don't remember exactly, but
49:13it's like 63% of the running backs that have had 50 or more catches in the last five years have scored 13 or more PPR points.
49:21It's a really good place to be. And if you just go by projections, forget about whatever you think of those players yourself.
49:28If you just go by projections, Kevin Gainwell, I think on our side is projected for 60 plus catches.
49:34So that gives them an opportunity to be north of 13 PPR points.
49:38That's a free space to draft in this range.
49:40Rashad White has three seasons on his resume, three of his last four years with 50 plus catches.
49:46He's probably projected to be around that number. Again, something that you can hang your hat on if you're just looking for
49:53a floor with maybe a higher ceiling in case of an injury for both of the running backs out of them.
49:59And it's not just 63% for guys that have had 50 plus catches.
50:03It's like 65% for guys that have had 40 plus catches to score 11 or more PPR points.
50:09So the floor is pretty safe if you're getting guys that are just involved in the passing game.
50:14So I think that kind of matters in sort of how you view these guys, but just at the top, you know,
50:21the first four guys, if you were to say, here's the Steelers starter, that's probably two tiers higher.
50:26If you say that Mason is going to clearly be the guy ahead of Aaron Jones, at least one tier higher, you
50:33tell me JK Dobbins is going to start 13 plus games.
50:37He's probably a tier higher. So, you know, again, the sliding scale, I think you just sort of look at guys like
50:43Blake Corum and Mike Washington and even RJ Harvey.
50:46If you just want to wait, go next year and go to Jonah Coleman, like the Dobbins injury will open up opportunities for both those guys.
50:54And they may both benefit probably more. So Coleman from a carry perspective, Harvey from a total playing time perspective.
51:00But again, you're looking at just what these guys can do and how much they can help you or are just good
51:07bench options that eventually would become potential starters. All right.
51:10I'm going to make an executive decision. We're going to go back, go to wide receiver now here, because we're pretty late in the draft.
51:18And you can just read the tiers from Dave, from Jamie, from Heath draft strategies, go to cbssports.com slash fantasy.
51:24You'll see it there, or you can just Google it.
51:27So let's go to our wide receiver tiers here.
51:30Updated wide receiver tiers. Tier one is Chase, Puka, St.
51:33Brown and JSN. Tier two is Lamb and Jefferson.
51:36Dave, any issues here? I've got Lamb in tier one.
51:39I think he's worth a first round pick. I think that he goes behind the first four, but I see him and
51:45maybe it's more full PPR than half PPR, but still the catches are going to count for something.
51:51He's going to get a lot of them. He's going to get a lot of targets.
51:56He's healthy. I'm, I'm happy to draft CD lamb in the back end of round one.
52:01Okay. So those are the six wide receivers that you in some cases will certainly see or might see in round one, chase Puka, St.
52:09Brown and JSN CD lamb, whether he's in tier one or tier two, and Justin Jefferson.
52:13Tier three. Let's take a look at that at wide receiver.
52:17AJ Brown, Drake, London, Nico Collins, George Pickens, Chris Olave, and Rasheed Rice.
52:21Jamie, these are second round picks for you. AJ Brown, Drake, London, Nico, George Pickens, Olave, Rasheed Rice.
52:26They're second round picks for Jamie. Dave, are they second round picks for you?
52:31Brown, London, Olave, Nico, Neighbors are second round picks for me.
52:34Neighbors might actually be a third round pick. I think I'd put Pickens in round two, Neighbors in round three.
52:40Rice is like late round three, maybe even early round four if it's half PPR.
52:45I just don't see Rice the same way that everybody else does.
52:48And Jefferson is toward the top of this tier for me too, just because I'm not a Kyler guy.
52:54So if I'm not a Kyler guy, I can't be as bullish on Jettas as Jamie would be.
53:00Sure. All right. So a little bit of disagreement there, but AJ, but the guys that we definitely think are in tier
53:07three, second round picks consensus is AJ Brown, Drake, London, Nico, Pickens, and Olave.
53:11And Olave. And I, that's not my order, but it's close enough.
53:15Okay. So Jamie, I've got Olave a little higher.
53:17Jamie says yes on Rasheed Rice. Dave says no in, in round two, tier four, round three guys, Malik Neighbors, maybe Dave
53:24will take him in the second round. Malik Neighbors.
53:27It's third. Okay. Neighbors, Devante Smith, T Higgins, Lad McConkie, and Zay Flowers.
53:31I like Jamie, you know, breaking up this group from Garrett Wilson and McMillan and, and the, and DJ Moore and whatever,
53:38probably into your five, but yeah, Neighbors, Devante, Higgins, McConkie, and Zay Flowers that this is round three for you.
53:44Yep. Um, anything you want to say other than take them in round three?
53:48Like what makes them round three picks? I think in the case of all these guys, probably outside of Higgins, just because
53:55you've seen it more consistently from him when healthy, certainly when Joe Burrow and Higgins are both healthy.
54:00Uh, there's a little bit of change clearly, you know, so Neighbors coming back from the ACL is going to be the same guy.
54:08I haven't really seen him with Jackson Dart Smith without AJ Brown there.
54:12McConkie, new coordinator coming off a down season and Zay Flowers, new coordinator, and hopefully gets a little bit more touchdown production.
54:19So all of these guys have some level of questions, which is why they're not in tier three.
54:24Uh, but I think when you're talking about their upside, their potential and what at least they've done in one season or
54:31more, uh, there should be some, you know, I don't want to say safety, but they're, you know, you're, you're talking about,
54:38you go, uh, two receivers in your first three rounds.
54:41You can even go, I've seen it. I've done it a few times, you know, receiver, receiver, receiver.
54:46And this is your third guy. If you go two receivers in a flex or three receiver league, um, you go running back, running back.
54:54These are two guys that I would like to target if I can, you know, pull that off as well.
55:00But these are the guys that I'm taking in round three.
55:03If they fall to round four, cause McConkie's ADP is round four.
55:07Higgins is in round four a lot. Uh, it's just, to me, it's amazing value.
55:12Yep. Neighbors, Devante Smith, Higgins, McConkie's a flowers, David ever.
55:15She rice. I think in this tier, rice would be in this tier.
55:19Jalen Waddle would be in this tier. Okay. Garrett Wilson would be in this tier.
55:23Okay. Uh, then let's go to tier five. We might see those names in tier five.
55:28There's Garrett Wilson. There's Jalen Waddle. Also DJ more, Tedderall McMillan, a Mecca, Buka and Luther burden, Garrett Wilson, DJ more, Jalen Waddle, McMillan, a Buka, and burden.
55:37And Adams would be in this tier now when I update it.
55:41Okay. So I'll just say that then tier five, Garrett Wilson, DJ more, Jalen Waddle, Tedderall McMillan, a Mecca, Buka, Luther burden, and Devante Adams.
55:48Dave, what do you think about that tier? I think if it were my tier, Zay Flowers and Garrett Wilson would flip flop.
55:55I think Flowers is closer to being at the top of this tier than at the bottom of tier four for Jamie.
56:02But otherwise, I really like it. I think this is the group for high end.
56:07No, I don't know about high end. Medium to low end.
56:10No, medium wide receiver too. I had to think about it a lot.
56:14Oh, sound like a color commentary guy next to Jim Nance.
56:17McMillan, DJ Moore, Adams, burden, a Buka that, that group seems really solid to me as wide receiver twos to target.
56:24And I would go round four for most of those guys.
56:27Yeah, I think the, what, what you can say about tier four, which was the round three guys, which was like, not
56:34all of them, but Higgins and McConkie and Zay Flowers is that if you pass up on those guys in round three,
56:41you have a chance to get them in round four.
56:44The problem with the round, with the tier five guys, Wilson, Moore, Waddle, McMillan, Abuka, burden, Devante Adams.
56:49If you have an early pick in round four and you don't take one of these guys, you're probably not going to
56:56get them in round five based on average draft position.
56:59They're all off the board, like 50, 50 second ish overall.
57:03So if you like tier five and you have a pick in round four, late round four, you can wait.
57:09Maybe you can get Devante Adams or Luther burden or something like that.
57:13But early round four, you probably need to pull the trigger there.
57:16Otherwise, you're looking at tier six, which is fine.
57:19Tier six is good. If you're looking at the graphic, Devante Adams is in tier six, but Jamie already said he's in tier five.
57:27So tier six is Terry McLaurin, Jamo, which is James Williams, Parker Washington, Romo Dunze, Christian Watson, Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Marvin Harrison, Jr.
57:34And Brian Thomas, Jr. It's a big tier. Jamie McLaurin, Jameson Williams, Parker, Washington, Odundze, Christian Watson, Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Marvin Harrison, Jr.
57:41Brian Thomas, Jr. Yeah. Yeah. The round five and round six guys, you know, and Thomas kind of slips a little bit.
57:48So it depends if you like him in this tier or not, but I think just looking at it as these guys have so much upside.
57:56There's a lot of questions, you know, McLaurin now with Stefan digs and some offensive line concerns for the commanders, you know,
58:03the Jaguars guys and just how good Parker Washington can be versus where Brian Thomas is.
58:08And can he ever get back to that level?
58:11We saw it two years ago. Uh, Evans and his health.
58:14I think we've been all over the place with him.
58:17Understandably. So if he's 100% healthy, I'm sure Adam, you'd probably have him in tier five.
58:22So the, uh, you know, just sort of looking at this, this is kind of like the last group of, Hey, I,
58:29if I missed on receiver, this is the last kind of wide receiver too, that I'd be comfortable with or certainly not,
58:35not comfortable, confident in, I guess is the best way.
58:39Cause there's other guys you can still be comfortable with, but confident in knowing that, okay, these guys could still be 15
58:45plus 15 PPR points per game or more if things go right.
58:49Mm-hmm. I mean, I look at tier six and go, I don't agree with every single person in here, but like 95%
58:56of it, I go, I want to be in this tier.
58:59Like I want to get guys here. You know, we're still at the point where we've got very appealing wide receivers who could, you know, could shock.
59:07And I, it wouldn't be that big of a shock, but could be top 12 guys.
59:12It could be top 12, top 18 guys or something like that.
59:16Must starts. Not all of them will be, but we're hopeful here.
59:20You know, those late night knife commercials where you like, you see them like slicing through things.
59:25I haven't seen one of those in a long time, but sure.
59:29Yeah. No, it's probably cause you're not watching TV as much.
59:32This is an old head comment, but I would, if tier six were a cantaloupe, I would take a knife to this tier and cut it in half.
59:41I think McLaurin, Washington, Watson, JMO. I think they go to one half of the melon and then everybody else is on the other half of the melon.
59:49And I like that first half of melon better.
59:52So McLaurin, Washington, Watson, JMO. I like that for some, a little bit better than who, you know, the people that Jamie
59:59has there for me, it's like Harrison or duns, a Godwin Evans.
60:02BTJ is slipping for me too. Not even sure he belongs in tier six.
60:07If this were my tier six, I, I was a little bit impacted by the schedule talk yesterday with BTJ.
60:13But okay. Dave's going to cut up tier six.
60:16I did read that. If you eat sliced up cantaloupe, it could be very dirty, like sliced up fruit in general.
60:22Yeah. You know, food, some food health experts would say avoid tier seven to food.
60:27Health experts love tier seven though. I don't know.
60:29I don't know how much they love it. Carnell Tate.
60:33Good dude. I don't know if this is actually happening, but in the last two real drafts I've done, Carnell Tate has
60:39not been picked in the top 100. He's, he's moved down significantly for me, but, but too much.
60:45I think people are freaking out a little bit.
60:48Well, it's, it's, it's, I think probably put him in more realistic spot of where he should have been at the start
60:54of the process, but understanding that he's going to end up being a great value pick because of where you'll get him.
61:01He went after Casey Concepcion in a draft I did last.
61:05Yeah, that's ridiculous. No, I would do it. Okay.
61:07Carnell Tate, Cortland Sutton. I'm just going to make this our last tier, even though there are good players in tier eight.
61:14I'm sorry, but Carnell Tate, Cortland Sutton, Quentin Johnston, Jordan Addison, Michael Wilson, Stefan Diggs, Wondale Robinson, Dijon Stribling, and Josh Downs.
61:21Tate, Sutton, Johnston, Addison, Michael Wilson, Diggs, Wondale, Stribling, Josh Downs.
61:24David, what do you think about tier seven? I'm cutting up more melons.
61:28I think that I think Jamie could like better define.
61:31This is, I don't want to sound like I'm critiquing Jamie's tears because we all have our own separate process, but just
61:38as an example, my tier seven is four names.
61:41It's Quinn Johnson, Jordan Addison, Michael Wilson, Alec Pierce.
61:44That's it. And then my tier eight is four more names.
61:47Concepcion, Pittman, Tate, Josh Downs. So I, I just, I've got it broken down into just much smaller groups of wide receivers.
61:54And what that does for me is it actually pushes the wide receivers that some of these guys that Jamie has in
62:00his tier seven tier eight, just pushes them down into just like a bigger blob of, all right, here's guys that you're going to draft.
62:08They might be wide receiver threes. They might be on your bench, less excited about these guys than I am those who
62:15I'm prioritizing by putting them in smaller tiers. So I guess it's more of like a philosophical difference than anything else.
62:21Um, but these, when I see a lot of these wide receivers, most of them I look at and I go, Oh, what's available at running back?
62:30What's available at quarterback? I'd rather go in that direction.
62:33Okay. Jamie, any thoughts on tier seven? No, it's just grouping two rounds together, you know, so it depends on what you're looking at.
62:40And some of these, some of these names have moved around in the last few days.
62:45Okay. So like, I've got it to like one round for a lot of guys and you just put two rounds together.
62:52I mean, that makes sense. That's solid. I feel like Josh Downs is another guy that, and maybe I'm wrong.
62:58I mean, Oh, we're, we should be dip buying on Josh.
63:01Yeah. I was going to say that, you know, I've seen him go.
63:05Value is great. Yeah. We liked him a lot.
63:08Then he got this injury, but he appears to be totally back.
63:12Well, it's also the Keenan Allen sign too. Yeah.
63:15That doesn't help. If, if his role evolves, like there, there's a couple of ifs with Josh down.
63:20So I guess I shouldn't be too excited about buying the dip, but if his role evolves and they use him a
63:27little bit further downfield, and if he stays healthy, then we're right back to where he was two years ago when he's
63:34getting North of seven targets per game, North of 13 PPR points per game.
63:38And I don't know what round tier seven is for you, Jamie, but if this is round eight and downs is at
63:45the bottom of that list, I, I would agree.
63:47He's around nine pick. According to ADP Josh Downs.
63:50Yeah, I'm higher. Okay. Tight end tears. Updated tight end tears.
63:54Bowers and McBride in tier one, Loveland and Warren in tier two.
63:57How, how tempted were you, Jamie, to make four separate tiers with these four names?
64:02Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's, look, I think when you get to certain points in tiers and in rank lists, like you
64:09kind of know what you're dealing with. So, yeah, you know, like what, we're just highlighting and separating just to, I think for our own benefit.
64:17But, but if you put Bowers and McBride in tier one, that would say to me that you'd rather have Trey McBride
64:23in round three than Brock Bowers in round two.
64:26I don't know. No, I have. Yeah, I guess.
64:29I mean, they're five picks apart. Yeah. And half PPR.
64:32That makes sense. Loveland and Warren. I don't think they really get drafted as if they're in the same tier.
64:38That's all. And they're not. So this would be one where I would disagree to.
64:43I think Loveland is in a class all his own.
64:46And honestly, if it were non PPR, I think Bowers is in the tier on his own and McBride and Loveland are
64:53in the same tier in that round three grouping.
64:55But since it's half PPR, McBride does get a little bit of a nudge there.
65:00And Loveland should just be, I, he's a late round three pick for me.
65:04I've taken him a lot there and I'm expecting a nice, a nice improvement in his numbers from last year.
65:10I, uh, I'm glad Caleb Williams did not hit him up the seam on what would have been like a 20 something yard touchdown in that preseason game.
65:19It's the only chance we have of him staying in the fourth round.
65:23Um, yeah, I haven't drafted enough Colson Loveland. I have drafted zero Tyler Warren, which is annoying.
65:28I don't mind it. I mean, I, I mean, I, I like just remember what he was when Daniel Jones was healthy.
65:35I know he's really good. Um, and they don't, I don't have Pitt and Pittman and all that.
65:41I just don't know when to take Tyler Warren.
65:43And that's for me, it's like round five, like kind of later in round five.
65:48I really like him, but I also really liked the quarterbacks there.
65:52So that's, I have trouble, Jamie drafting Warren. When do you take, I'll take Warren over the quarterbacks over burrow and on the quarterback.
65:59Yes. Over burrow. Yes. All right. Well, I'm not going to take him over Lamar Jackson.
66:04Fine, but I could take him over burrow. All right, let's go to tier three.
66:09So it's so tough here. Laporta craft pits. I was going to kill Heath last night.
66:13We're sharing a team and he drafted Kyle pits.
66:16I hated it. Laporta craft pits. Likely fits in a tight end premium league.
66:20Yes. I was so happy about it. You took it.
66:24I love it. If it's too, uh, I hate it.
66:27If it's Penix, I don't care. I love it.
66:29That is Stefanski. Okay. Yeah. I think it may end up being a good pick by Heath.
66:35Um, it's just that Kittle was available like five rounds later or something, but Ooh, uh, Laporta craft pits, likely Kittle Fannin.
66:41So that's a big tier there. Laporta craft pits, likely Kittle Fannin.
66:45Uh, Dave, what do you think? I think it's, I think, I think it's juicy.
66:50Oh, like a can and, and this is, this is a, this is where most drafters are going to land because not
66:56everybody's going to get one of the first four tight ends off the board.
67:01I can nitpick the order obviously, and pits would be lower.
67:04Craft would be higher. Fannin's at the bottom. We're at that point with Harold Fannin where he's at the bottom, of this tier, but still in it.
67:12And the, this is, I almost feel like this is the group where you go, okay.
67:17Uh, unless you feel strongly about Laporta, if you're Jamie or Heath or craft, if you're me or pits, if you're also
67:24Heath, you just, you wait till the end of it and you try and get one of likely Kittle Fannin.
67:30And you think to yourself, okay, maybe they don't have the same type of upside as certainly the first four tight ends.
67:37And maybe the guys at the top of tier three, but still they're going to be must start guys.
67:43You should feel good about using on a week to week basis.
67:47They won't be black holes in your fantasy lineup.
67:49You'll feel, you'll feel good about them. And they all should be in that range of 11 plus and full PPR, probably
67:56closer to like eight and a half, nine and half PPR, which isn't bad for a tight end one.
68:02All right. Let me just take a quick look at, at the real time ADP at tight end.
68:07And you tell me the best value amongst the players in tier three, Sam Laporta in round six, Harold Fannin and Kyle
68:14pits in round seven, George Kittle at the seven, eight turn.
68:18Um, Oh, I'm sorry. Tucker crafts just ahead of Sam Laporta.
68:21So they're both in round six. So it's craft and Laporta in round six.
68:25Yep. Fannin and pits in round seven Kittle at the seven, eight turn.
68:29Then can Kate and Kelsey, then likely in round, around 10.
68:33I love call him Isaiah. Lovely. Cause I love it.
68:36Fannin. Where the hell is Fannin? You did. I'm sorry.
68:39Yeah. He's in that seven range. My bad. All right.
68:42A little too soon for Fannin. Awesome value for likely.
68:45Um, Travis Kelsey and Dallas Goddard are in tier four.
68:48Are these the last two tight ends you want as your starter in a 12 team league?
68:53Yes. Okay. Kincaid's not there for you. Not as a starter.
68:57All right. Jamie has to bounce. I'm in there.
68:59I will just try to, um, it's just to show the next two tiers for the tier five is Andrews, Kincaid, Schultz, Juwan Johnson, Juwan Johnson.
69:07I did some week one research. There's some stuff I don't love about him in week one.
69:13If you really need a tight end, but there are some things I love, like they are, are going to be playing the lions.
69:20They're going to probably need to score a lot.
69:23The lions will have both of their starting safeties out.
69:26There were five games in which they were both out last year.
69:30There are two starting safeties and Kate Odden had like 75 yards.
69:33Terrence Ferguson had something, 60 something yards and two touchdowns, or maybe that was Colby Parkinson.
69:38Colby Parkinson had, it had a huge game and Colson Loveland had a huge game.
69:43So there's some reasons to like Johnson in a week one, Andrews, Kincaid, Schultz and Johnson are tier five.
69:49And there's a huge tier six. You can read it on the website.
69:53Um, Jamie has to go. I will just read a few questions here.
69:57Are we rapid fire? Are we all trusting too much in Caleb Williams?
70:01Way too bullish on these wides, the wide receivers and Loveland would probably be included in there.
70:06I think we're trying to collect pieces of a high powered passing offense.
70:10That should be a little bit better this year than it was last year.
70:14Second year in it for Caleb, he seems to have taken some steps to improve his, his completion rate and his efficiency.
70:21One of the ways he can do that is completing those shorter throws.
70:25That's great for burden. That's good for Loveland. Not as good for a dunze.
70:29Three of these guys in the first 70 picks may seem like a lot, but I, I, I feel like Caleb Williams,
70:36just like the playmaking ability that he's got can overcome a, a completion rate.
70:40That's not 65%. So if it's lower than 65%, but he's making some great off schedule plays, the receiver should benefit.
70:47Loveland should benefit. And he reminds me, or I should say Jackson dart reminds me of, of Caleb Williams.
70:52And I think that's a guy that I'm, there's a lot of similarities.
70:56Like Jackson dart is probably not going to wow you with his completion percentage, his mechanics, his footwork might be a little
71:03bit weird, but that this guy is so good.
71:06They're both so good at making unbelievable plays, extending plays and being kind of better than their baseline statistics.
71:12So I see dart as one of the biggest fallers since drafts began because giants have not had a good, uh, off season, basically our offense.
71:20And just think about what we saw from dart.
71:23Without neighbors, without, no, no, no, he got smashed.
71:25He got hit and went to the blue tent and everybody, nobody wants to draft a player who they think is an obvious candidate to miss games.
71:34Yeah, I agree, but it's too, among the quarterbacks, he's the most obvious.
71:38And I think we know that the giants do not want him to run as much.
71:43He's not going to run for nine touchdowns. It's nine.
71:46He, he, he ran in for touchdowns nine times.
71:48And a lot of them were in the red zone, but not many were near the goal line.
71:54And the giants have just overloaded on, right. They went, they went robust RB with their roster.
71:59And now they've got so many running backs that they don't need to use dart in that role.
72:05Just become, I think he's become a good value and I've taken him in a couple of leagues as a backup because,
72:11you know, I think it's just what we saw last year.
72:15There's obvious upside. And he did all of that without Malik neighbors.
72:19And he, by the way, he's done pretty much all of it in the off season, this bad off season without Malik
72:25neighbors, but okay, that's my giants thought of the day.
72:28I'm not going to read any more comments. Except for this one, because they're all keeper questions.
72:34Dan Schneier said that Adam cuts his sandwiches horizontally on beyond the box score.
72:38Hey, Dan, keep my name out your mouth, but I will.
72:41Yes, I do. It's boring, but I do cut them horizontally.
72:45I do see some good questions here, but I think what we'll do tomorrow, if you're watching live tomorrow, noon, Eastern Friday
72:51afternoon, September 4th, noon, Eastern, I will do a 30 minute Q and a, if it goes longer, great.
72:57If it, hopefully enough of you show up, but we can actually get 30 minutes, but I have all these notes in
73:04my notebook that I'd love to just talk about some of these players and some of the things that I'd like to share with you.
73:12So ask me about players. Don't ask me keeper questions.
73:15If you can avoid that, ask me about draft strategy, whatever.
73:18I'll do a 30 minute Q and a with you.
73:21Anyone from the FFT staff is welcome to join, by the way.
73:25So, uh, mailbag tonight, show tomorrow morning, Q and a noon Eastern tomorrow, Friday afternoon.
73:30Yeah. We will talk to you later tonight, I guess on fantasy.
73:33You guys are going to be ready for your drafts this weekend.
73:37Oh yeah. All right. See you later, everybody. Podcasts.
73:40Podcasts.
