Player insights

59

A.J. Brown

PositiveValue39:10

AJ Brown is explicitly preferred over George Pickens in the same ADP range, grouped with Nico Collins as a receiver the source would take ahead of Pickens.

Insight page
PositiveValue47:27

Available at the 2-3 turn (around pick 24-26) alongside other elite proven players; source views round two as loaded with established, proven talent and considers A.J. Brown part of a strong cohort that makes it hard to justify early picks on unproven rookies like Jeremiah Love.

Insight page

Alec Pierce

PositiveInjury17:32

Dave Richard moved Pierce down on his board due to PUP list status after ankle surgery in March; he may not return until late in camp or after preseason starts. Richard cites too many conditional factors: if Pierce can take on a different role, if he sees higher target volume, if he commands more targets than Tyler Warren and Josh Downs, and if he can practice for 3+ weeks before the season. His ADP is around 80th overall (WR 34), and Richard thinks he's flirting with the do-not-draft list despite the opportunity upside.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

NegativeProjection46:48

Rookie year PPR points per game: 14.5 PPR; source notes this is nearly identical to Ashton Gentty's 14.4 PPR, though source would give Robinson more credit due to a strong migraine game performance that didn't fully reflect in final stats.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeBust2:34

Dave Richard says Hall is not worth a round three investment in full PPR; he averaged 13 PPR points per game last year with eight games under 10 PPR points while sharing the ball on a bad offense. With Frank Reich as play caller, Hall will be the running downs guy only, not the passing downs guy. Reich has had only one running back average 13+ PPR points per game in 10 years as a play caller, which is the ceiling Richard assigns to Hall. Richard is "kind of out" on Hall and nervous to take him even in round four.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

NegativeProjection39:00

CJ Stroud is the first quarterback in NFL history with a passing yards per game drop of 50-plus from year one to years two and three, per CBS Sports Research. The source notes he's 50 yards worse per game in years two and three than year one, though part of the decline is attributed to injuries that knocked down the average. The source concludes 'CJ Stroud just hasn't been very good,' citing this as a reason to prefer other receivers (like Nico Collins over George Pickens) despite Collins' quarterback situation.

Insight page

Christian Kirk

NegativeInjury20:33

San Francisco wide receiver Christian Kirk is not healthy and will miss time with a calf strain.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeBust4:00

Jamie Eisenberg says McCaffrey is going too early (8th overall on CBS, 6th in Fantasy Pros) and would not take him before 9th overall. He cites injury risk as the primary concern: McCaffrey is now 30 years old and has two prior examples of 400+ total touches in his career (2023 with 400+ touches including playoffs, 2024 with only 4 games played). Jamie tries to avoid the pitfalls and red flags despite acknowledging McCaffrey's upside as the best non-QB last year at 24+ PPR points per game when healthy.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveProjection20:03

The source cites Christian Watson as a comparable example of a wide receiver who, despite a slow start, delivered strong production in the middle-to-late season, suggesting similar late-season upside is possible for players drafted in similar spots.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeValue28:48

Loveland is mentioned as a comparison point to Trey McBride in terms of cost and value. The source suggests that when comparing McBride to Loveland based on their draft cost, McBride's ADP appears inflated, making Loveland a potentially better value at a similar or lower cost.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveMatchup40:00

Dak Prescott is cited as providing 'stability' compared to CJ Stroud's poor play. The source uses Prescott's reliability as a reason to potentially prefer receivers on the Cowboys (like Drake London) over Houston receivers despite similar concerns about quarterback play.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

PositiveProjection17:32

Dave Richard says Daniel Jones is a better number two QB than Brissett because if he stays healthy, he will be the starter in Indianapolis for the entire season, whereas Brissett's tenure in Arizona is uncertain. Jones was QB 13 per game last year (4.14 in six-point passing TD leagues), but if you remove his Jacksonville game (0.8 points), he was a top-eight quarterback, slightly better than Dak Prescott. He scored 24+ points in five of his first eight games in six-point passing TD leagues. Richard hopes Jones doesn't run as much, which would hurt fantasy production but help pass attempts for his pass catchers.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeBust4:00

Jamie Eisenberg says Achane is going too early (12th overall in both CBS and Fantasy Pros ADP) and would not take him before 19th overall. The Dolphins' low expected win total limits touchdown production. Achane's performance is heavily dependent on Tua Tagovailoa's health: he averages 21.5 PPR points per game with Tua on the field but only 10.5 PPR points per game without Tua over the last two seasons. Jamie will not take him at the back end of round one or early round two.

Insight page

George Pickens

NegativeValue39:10

The source avoids drafting Pickens despite not disliking him; the core issue is preference for other receivers in the same ADP range. Pickens is compared unfavorably to Nico Collins and AJ Brown, with the source noting quarterback stability concerns around CJ Stroud's poor play (50+ yards per game drop from year one to years two-three, per CBS Sports Research). While not a bust call, Pickens ranks below multiple tight ends (McBride, Bowers) and other wideouts at his price point.

Insight page
PositiveValue47:27

Available at the 2-3 turn (around pick 24-26) alongside other elite proven players; source views him as part of a strong cohort of established talent in round two that makes it hard to justify early picks on unproven rookies.

Insight page

Isiah Pacheco

PositiveValue10:00

Adam Azer suggests Pacheco as a handcuff target in auction leagues, proposing to bid aggressively on him early (around $3 in a $100 budget) before Gibbs is nominated. Azer believes if Pacheco becomes the lead running back for the Lions, he could score 16-17 points per game and do 70% of what a lead back would produce, making him a valuable insurance policy for a Gibbs investment.

Insight page

Jacoby Brissett

PositiveProjection16:16

Jamie Eisenberg has interest in Jacoby Brissett in two-QB leagues. He expects Brissett to be in the 17-18 PPR points per game range on a bad week, with some disasters mixed in. The Cardinals' improved run game (additions of Love, Algier, and healthy James Conner) should reduce pass attempts, but the rebuilding defense will force them to chase points. Brissett is already a 10.5-point underdog in week one against the Chargers. With healthy weapons (Harrison Wilson, McBride), Brissett could be a borderline top-15 quarterback if he stays the starter.

Insight page
PositiveProjection27:06

In four games where Brissett played at least 61% of snaps with Marvin Harrison Jr., Harrison averaged 14.4 PPR points per game and 8.8 targets per game. The source uses this as evidence that if the Cardinals' offense throws as much as expected under Brissett, Harrison could deliver on his draft capital. This is the primary reason the source hasn't completely faded Harrison despite other concerns.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeRole20:54

Janarian Price has been used a lot in the passing game, but this is because that is where he needs the most work; he and Helani have been alternating with the starters, with Helani getting the first rep in all drills, suggesting Price is not the clear starter.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

NegativeBust58:54

Jalen Hurts was one of the first five quarterback picks last year and is classified as a slight bust by the source, underperforming relative to his draft capital.

Insight page

Jalon Daniels

NegativeBust58:54

Jalen Daniels was one of the first five quarterback picks last year and is classified as a pretty obvious bust by the source.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

NegativeValue50:05

Williams is going around 60th overall (end of round five) as wide receiver 26-27 on CBS and Fantasy Pros, but the source views this as too early. Williams averaged only 4.8 targets per game in nine games when St. Brown and Laporta were healthy last year and does not have a strong track record when Laporta is healthy. New offensive coordinator Drew Petzing has a history of utilizing multiple tight end personnel and targeting tight ends, which the Lions brought him in to implement alongside a bigger, tougher offensive approach that emphasizes tight end blocking in the run game. This limits Williams' volume and makes him a boom-bust number three wide receiver. The source would start considering Williams at the end of round six, not round five.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

NegativeValue28:24

Warren is ranked 77th overall on CBS and 76th on Fantasy Pros, around RB29. The source is not excited to draft him and views him as a settle-for, low-end RB2 option. The source is concerned about a potential annoying split with Rico Dowdle in Pittsburgh's backfield, which limits his upside at his current ADP.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeValue42:39

Love is going 30th on CBS and 21st on Fantasy Pros, but the source avoids him in the second round; at that ADP, the source prefers receivers like Abukabar and DeVonta Smith, and views Love as comparable to Josh Jacobs and Kyron Williams in tier, making him a third-round consideration at best depending on earlier draft decisions.

Insight page
PositiveRole43:23

Love faces significant backfield competition from James Conner, who the Cardinals appear unlikely to trade away; the source expects Conner to continue receiving carries, limiting Love's opportunity share and creating a situation similar to B.J. Robinson's rookie year when Tyler Algier limited his touches, or Ashton Gentty's when offensive line issues and lack of clear role prevented breakout production.

Insight page
NegativeProjection44:20

The source projects Love will face negative game script risk; the Cardinals' weak rushing offense and defensive struggles mean they will likely trail by double digits, forcing them to abandon the run in the fourth quarter and chase points, limiting Love's carry volume in high-leverage situations—a pattern the source attributes to Scott Turner's offensive philosophy.

Insight page
NegativeBreakout44:47

The source acknowledges Love will have 'a lot of great moments' and is a strong dynasty/long-term keeper league asset, but cautions against early-round redraft ADP; the source compares Love's situation unfavorably to Ashton Gentty's rookie year, noting that despite Love's talent, backfield competition and team context create a ceiling similar to Gentty's 14th-RB finish.

Insight page
NegativeProjection45:09

Ranked in the range of a 14th running back (similar to Ashton Gentty's rookie season), which is fine production but disappointing relative to draft expectations; source notes Love can be better than that but unlikely to be much worse, and expects him to be a solid number two running back if drafted at reasonable value in round three rather than early rounds.

Insight page
NegativeBust46:21

Source avoids Love at current ADP because the Arizona Cardinals' situation is unfavorable; needs wholesale changes in the running back room, better offensive line, improved defense, and negative news about Kyron Williams or Josh Jacobs to justify moving Love up; currently hard to justify top-24 selection when established proven players are available at the 2-3 turn (A.J. Brown, George Pickens, Nico Collins, Rasheed Rice, Derek Henry, Ken Walker, Bowers, McBride).

Insight page
NegativeValue47:59

The source notes it's hard for Jeremiah Love to crack the top 24 when established, proven players are available, suggesting his ADP/value is not compelling relative to the depth of talent at his position.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeBust58:54

Joe Burrow was one of the first five quarterback picks last year and is classified as a pretty obvious bust by the source.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

NegativeValue19:45

The source suggests there are no players behind him (in the wide receiver depth chart) that would be preferable to draft over him at his ADP of 79th overall, wide receiver 34, indicating his value is not compelling relative to alternatives at that draft position.

Insight page
PositiveValue51:30

Tyson is going in the 80s (round 7-8 turn) as wide receiver 36 on both CBS and Fantasy Pros, but the source ranks him as a late round nine pick. While Tyson is a great talent, he is not a perfect prospect and has a concerning injury history in college beyond the ACL and knee issue that cost him a year; he has been consistently banged up and was injured during the Saints offseason. The source worries about his target volume and adjustment time to the Saints offense, though the Saints offense is headed in the right direction with Chris Olave active.

Insight page

Josh Allen

NegativeValue47:59

Currently the only quarterback available at the 2-3 turn; source notes his presence but expresses uncertainty about whether quarterbacks will be drafted early enough to reach that point.

Insight page
PositiveProjection58:54

Josh Allen was the only quarterback among the first five picks at the position last year who was not a bust; the source contrasts him with Lamar Jackson, Jalen Daniels, Joe Burrow, and Jalen Hurts, who all underperformed relative to their draft capital.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeBust20:18

Josh Jacobs has an open domestic violence investigation; the source notes he is currently going at the 2-3 turn (24th-25th overall) but expresses skepticism about drafting him at that ADP given the legal uncertainty. While suspension does not appear imminent, the case outcome remains unclear and could affect his availability during the season.

Insight page
NegativeValue22:43

Mid to end of round three is worth it for Jacobs; early round three and late round two offer other players potentially just as good with less legal/suspension risk. The source compares this to Ezekiel Elliott's situation, noting that if Jacobs avoids missed time, he'd be one of the best running backs at that point in his career.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

NegativeProjection58:36

Despite having the best offensive line and offensive coordinator of his career, Herbert has only been great twice, both years averaging more than 39 pass attempts per game; the source hasn't seen evidence he can be a standout in yards per attempt, and while he's a better player than Tua Tagovailoa, his receiving weapons (Ladd McConkie, Quentin Johnson) are not comparable to elite options like Tyreek Hill or Jalen Waddle; the source thinks he's really good with a chance to be great but doesn't want to take the first quarterback in that tier.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

NegativeValue41:40

The source has not drafted Justin Jefferson and does not expect him to return to north of 18 PPR points per game with Kyler Murray. While acknowledging he's an 'easy bounce back candidate' from last year's failure, the source projects Jefferson around 16 PPR per game, which is 'closer to the one-two turn, maybe even early round two' rather than top 10-12 ADP. The source fears last year's failure won't be nearly that bad but suggests 16 PPR would be disappointing for a first-round pick.

Insight page
NegativeProjection42:11

The source projects Jefferson to average around 16 PPR points per game, which it characterizes as a floor but disappointing if he's drafted as a top-10 pick in the first round; 16 points would be underwhelming at that ADP, suggesting the source expects higher production and views current top-10 pricing as optimistic.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeMatchup41:40

Kyler Murray's play is cited as a limiting factor for Justin Jefferson's upside; the source does not expect Jefferson to exceed 18 PPR points per game with Murray at quarterback, suggesting quarterback instability or inconsistent play is constraining receiver production.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeInjury58:54

Lamar Jackson was tearing it up before his injury but the injury still happened, making him one of the four obvious busts among the first five quarterback picks last year despite strong pre-injury performance.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeRole23:36

Despite not being on the PUP list, Nabers is risky in late round three because the source worries he won't be the full version of himself until possibly the second half of the season, and that's an optimistic outlook. Ultra-talented but too soon to draft in late round three; could return to round two if he practices well in two weeks and looks like his old self.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeBust20:23

The source explicitly places Marshawn Lloyd on their do-not-draft list, citing his status as the reason for avoidance despite being healthy.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeValue25:25

Harrison is going 68th on CBS and 72nd on Fantasy Pros, ranking as wide receiver 31 on both sites. The source is basically okay with the ADP. Cardinals camp highlights suggest their defense will be weak this year, which could create passing volume for Harrison.

Insight page
NegativeBust25:42

The source expresses concern about Harrison's fit in Arizona's offense, noting the team's defense will be weak and there will be target crunch. Harrison won't be the top WR in Arizona; the offense is dominated by pass catchers winning over the middle between the numbers (similar to LA's build), and Harrison's stats show he's not very good working outside the numbers where he'll be positioned. The source feels he's being drafted based on draft capital and his last name rather than his actual performance over the last two seasons. However, in four games with Jacoby Brissett at 61%+ snaps, Harrison averaged 14.4 PPR points and 8.8 targets per game, which provides some hope if the offense throws as much as expected. The source is nervous about his round-six ADP despite this upside.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

NegativeRole27:00

Wilson is moving positions in Arizona's offense (switching between X and Z receiver spots), which the source believes will benefit his game. The source compares the potential opportunities for Wilson and Harrison to Puka Nakua and DeVontae Adams roles, focusing on target standpoint. Wilson was awesome when Harrison wasn't available during early practices when Harrison got dinged up. The source suggests there are reasons to buy into Wilson as long as you don't overpay, positioning him as a value play if the Cardinals throw as much as expected.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveValue39:00

The source is 'a huge Nico Collins fan' and would take him over George Pickens despite CJ Stroud's poor quarterback play. The source acknowledges Stroud's decline but argues that 'Nico's going to get fed targets' and believes 'Stroud is good enough that he can support at least one wide receiver at a high level.' The preference for Collins over Pickens is grounded in target volume and the belief that Stroud can support one elite receiver despite his overall decline.

Insight page
PositiveValue47:27

Available at the 2-3 turn (around pick 24-26) alongside other elite proven players; source views him as part of a strong cohort of established talent in round two that makes it hard to justify early picks on unproven rookies.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

PositiveValue47:59

Going 26th overall; source expresses enthusiasm ('I love that. That's crazy') about his ADP, indicating Rice is undervalued at that draft position relative to his talent.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

NegativeRole28:24

Dowdle is mentioned in the context of a potential backfield split with Jalen Warren in Pittsburgh. The source expresses concern that the two could end up in an annoying split, which would limit both players' upside and make them less attractive at their respective ADPs.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

PositiveRole37:22

The source expects Camaro to remain the primary option in the Jaguars offense if healthy, limiting Etienne's role and target upside. Additionally, Etienne has never been a good goal-line option historically, so touchdown potential—his remaining upside—is unreliable. The source ranks him as a top 20 running back but prefers to wait until round five or later, preferring upside plays like Quinshawn Judkins, Cam Scadaboo, and Brees Hall instead.

Insight page
NegativeProjection48:07

Ranked RB18 on CBS and Fantasy Pros; going around 40th overall in early to mid round three; source expresses excitement to discuss his fantasy outlook.

Insight page
NegativeValue48:23

The source is out on Travis Etienne at his current ADP (RB18, going around 40th overall in early-to-mid round four), citing concerns about Kellen Moore's offensive scheme. Moore has historically ranked 20th or worse in running back total targets across multiple rosters (Saquon Barkley, Kenneth Gainwell, Camaro, Austin Eckler at 20th, Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard), suggesting Etienne will not be heavily involved in the passing game despite his skill set. The source would only be interested in round five or later.

Insight page

Trey McBride

NegativeValue28:48

McBride is another player the source likes but thinks is going too early. The source mentions comparing McBride to Bowers and Loveland based on cost, suggesting McBride's ADP is inflated relative to his value. The source indicates McBride is being drafted earlier than warranted given the tight end landscape and other options at similar cost.

Insight page
PositiveValue47:59

Available at the 2-3 turn as a tight end option; source includes him in the list of established, proven talent available in round two that makes it hard to justify early picks on unproven rookies.

Insight page
NegativeValue48:00

McBride is going as tight end 1 on Fantasy Pros (20th overall) and tight end 2 on CBS (28th overall), but the source has not been drafting him and prefers Bowers at the turn. The source expects a step back from McBride's prior production and does not think he will annihilate the field like last year; if taking a tight end early, Bowers is the easier choice. McBride should still be the second tight end off the board but is overvalued relative to his expected output.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeInjury20:18

Tucker Craft is on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, indicating he will miss time at the start of the season.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeValue23:17

At 40th overall ADP, Flowers' valuation is appropriate; the source was seeing his ADP higher earlier in the offseason but is now comfortable with the current 40th ranking.

0:00This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports What a play!
0:03Can you believe this? He had no idea It's time to dominate your fantasy league Off to the races!
0:09And he stays on his feet! He's just gonna go the distance!
0:12Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath It is Tuesday.
0:16It is Do Not Draft Tuesday. Or something like that.
0:19July 28th, welcome to the show. Tomorrow we start the position previews, but today we tell you who we're not going to
0:25have on our fantasy teams based on current average draft position.
0:28Adam Azer, Jamie Eisenberg, and Dave Richard here. So, we're looking at players that we think are maybe going a little bit
0:35too early or players we just don't like them.
0:37They're not for me. We'll explain our thoughts on the Do Not Draft list, although I think it's pretty self-explanatory.
0:43We've got news and notes. We didn't talk about Jacoby Brissett on Sunday night.
0:47That's my bad, but he signed a one-year $15.5 million deal, and he says he has to learn the playbook.
0:53I'm thinking maybe he should have been doing that previously, but okay.
0:56Daniel Jones has been fully cleared for camp, so we'll talk about those two quarterbacks.
1:01Tucker Craft update, Josh Jacobs update, and more. Good morning, Jamie.
1:04Good morning. Good morning, Dave. Brissett shouldn't have learned the playbook because if he hadn't gotten a new contract, he wouldn't be
1:10playing this year, and what's the point of learning a playbook that you're not going to use?
1:15He was under contract. So, he could still hold out.
1:18Le'Veon did that once. He could have learned the playbook while he was holding out.
1:23I'm sure he learned the playbook. He just doesn't fully know the playbook.
1:26He's learned like 25 playbooks over the course of his career, so I'm pretty sure he can get the gist of this one.
1:33He said he's playing catch-up right now, and he still has to learn Mike McFleur's system.
1:38Oh, I'm sure that's the case, but I would guess that he knows the playbook.
1:42The way I read it, it did not seem like he really put in the hours to learn the playbook.
1:48Didn't he say something like, oh, hell no, I don't know it?
1:51It's exactly what he said. He said, oh, hell no.
1:54I don't know if he said I don't know it at the end, but he said, oh, hell no.
2:00All right. Well, anyway, that's the way the season's starting.
2:02And pretty much everyone, I talked about this with Jacob on Beyond the Box score, everyone in the world has looked at
2:09their schedule and said, Arizona's going to be horrible, and then they're going to turn it over to Carson Beck at some point.
2:15And Carson Beck, according to one of their beat writers, Theo Mackey, has had a lot of, quote, big misses in camp, five or more yards off target.
2:24So Jamie has a couple of Cardinals on his do-not-draft list.
2:27We'll get to that in a second. In fact, why don't we start with one player you want to highlight on your do-not-draft list?
2:34Dave Richard? I'm going to start with Brees Hall, who I don't think is worth the round three investment that a lot
2:40of people are making that's even in full PPR.
2:43I don't like him. I don't like the coaches.
2:45I don't like their decision to use three running backs for the second year in a row.
2:50I don't like that last year he averaged 13 PPR points per game.
2:54He had eight games under 10 PPR points last year.
2:57That was while sharing the ball on a team with a bad offense.
3:01And now Frank Reich is the play caller. Frank Reich has been a habitual multi-running back user.
3:06He's got a running downs guy. He's got a passing downs guy.
3:09Brees Hall is going to be the running downs guy.
3:12He will not be the running downs and the passing downs guy.
3:15Four times in 10 years as a play caller, Frank Reich has had a running back average at least 15 PPR points.
3:22Take that back. It's 13, not 15. 13 PPR points per game.
3:25And that's the number that I would assign to Brees Hall.
3:28It's what he had last year. Could you do a little bit better than that?
3:33Of course. Is his ceiling better than that? Yes.
3:35Is his floor lower than that? Absolutely. And that makes me nervous to take him in round three.
3:41And I'm kind of nervous to take him in round four also.
3:44And so I'm kind of just out on Brees Hall, kind of out on a bunch of jets other than Garrett Wilson.
3:50Not really the team that I want to start investing big picks in.
3:54Okay. Brees Hall, RB 16 and ADP was RB 21 per game last year.
3:58That's Dave's pick to headline his do not draft list.
4:01Jamie, how about you? I'll give you two just quickly.
4:04Christian McCaffrey and Devon Achane And I was told to say something along the lines of, I don't hate them.
4:10I just think they're going a little too early.
4:12I take them blank and blank respectively. Yeah, that was great.
4:16So what is, so look, look at their ADP.
4:18They were well written. Yeah, yeah. That's why you're a Hall of Fame fantasy analyst, Jamie.
4:23That's why Adam's a Hall of Fame host and producer.
4:26So McCaffrey is RB four on CBS, RB three in fantasy pros.
4:29He's going eighth on CBS, sixth in fantasy pros.
4:32When would you take McCaffrey? I would take McCaffrey the earliest at ninth overall.
4:36I mean, obviously we're nitpicking here a little bit, but it's just one of those things where I'm probably just not going to draft him.
4:43Um, I, I just look at the situation as I try to avoid as many pitfalls as I can.
4:49And he's got a lot of them, as many red flags as I can.
4:53And look, you're missing on potentially the best player in fantasy.
4:56As we saw last year, best non quarterback over 24 PPR points per game.
5:00He's just amazing when he's healthy, but we have two prior examples of him with over 400 total touches in his career.
5:06One with Carolina, one with San Francisco. The one we remember the most is the most recent one.
5:122023, uh, had over 400 total touches, including the playoffs 2024.
5:15He played four games. So he's now 30 years old.
5:18I think it's going to be a little bit of a scary situation for McCaffrey.
5:22Uh, so I try to avoid that as much as I can.
5:25Again, knowing the risk of what you're missing out on with, with Achan.
5:29It's just a terrible situation for his, uh, fantasy outlook because of the team that he's on.
5:34One, don't expect a lot of touchdown production from the Dolphins because their win total is expected to be very low.
5:40That's always a good indicator of a team being bad.
5:43Uh, plus we know what his numbers are with and without Tua Tungvaluwa over the last two seasons, 21 and a half
5:49PPR points per game with Tua on the field, 10 and a half PPR points per game without Tua on the field.
5:56So, uh, I will not be taking Achan at the back end of round one or the early part of round two.
6:02The earliest I would take him is 19th overall, which he will never get there.
6:07Okay. Achan is going 12th in both CBS and fantasy pros ADP.
6:10Good luck to you. Yeah. I get McCaffrey. I've been taking McCaffrey in so many of our drafts.
6:15Just seems like I, I have the same concerns as you, but I guess not to the same degree.
6:21Uh, so I take him six, Jamie. I think my, my philosophy with McCaffrey is no, I take him seventh.
6:27I'm sorry. With Gibbs, Bijan, Chase, Puka, JSN, and then even Amon Ross, St.
6:31Brown. I just have a hard time seeing any of those guys being busts.
6:35Uh, I could make a case. Yeah. I mean, one of them probably will be maybe two, but I don't know.
6:41I, they feel very safe to me and they feel like they have big upside.
6:45Um, everyone after that, you know, I, I still could see a bust case for everyone after that.
6:50So why not take McCaffrey who has more upside than, than everyone else?
6:54I think if I'm going to. It makes, it makes total sense.
6:57Just, I see more potential downfall with his history.
7:00Yeah. Me too. And that makes me nervous. Now look, Jonathan Taylor is usually the running back that's in, in the conversation with McCaffrey.
7:07You saw how great he was in the first half of the season last year and how terrible he was in the
7:13second half of the season last year. His is more of a performance thing.
7:17I think with the team around him, the McCaffrey is more of an injury risk thing.
7:22Right. So you tell me both stay healthy. McCaffrey is going to be better.
7:26I don't think there's a question about that. Um, James Cook is the other running back that's using the conversation.
7:32I guess for some people it's, it's genty because we see that quite a bit, but, um, um, genty as we saw last year was, was not great.
7:40Um, and does Clint Kubiak, Tyler Linderbaum and the combination of Kirk cousins, Devon, uh, Kirk cousins and Fernando Mendoza make things that much better for genty.
7:48I think it makes it better for sure. But is it that much better where you just forget about everything that happened last year?
7:55So, you know, when you start to stack these guys up and then H and clearly is, is in the mix as well.
8:01I don't think most people are going to take chase Brown over McCaffrey.
8:05So it's, it's really just genty Taylor and maybe cook.
8:08I think we just start to stack those guys up.
8:11Uh, you're right. McCaffrey's upside crushes those guys. So if that's what you're shooting for, I think again, if you want to
8:17approach it also like knowing that, that there's a handcuff, I hope there's going to be one, you know, so whether it's
8:24Jordan James, who got a little bit banged up, I think a practice either yesterday or the day before, um, or Kalen
8:30black look, seems like those are the two most logical guys.
8:33I don't think guys at Garendo has a shot at it right now.
8:37I think that makes you feel a little bit better because you could target that guy earlier.
8:42You know, Dave's talked about the giants guys and being in on Tyrone Tracy.
8:46Like if you just know you're drafting McCaffrey and you're going to settle for that, I almost think like his ADP is
8:52probably going to be, or that player's ADP. Like again, let's say Jordan James is probably around 10 or later.
8:58Like the minute you get to that round eight range where it starts to get just really, really ugly, disgusting, you know,
9:05just get the, just lock it up knowing that the San Francisco running back history has been pretty solid.
9:10I'm sorry to take a detour here, but I've been thinking about this auction strategy for weeks and I've never, I haven't
9:16said it on the show and I want to do.
9:19That you don't do. I do an auction. I don't do the, the, the, the, that's right.
9:24You do it with your softball softball team where you're the only person that knows anything about fantasy.
9:29That's not true. Plenty of good, plenty of good players in the league.
9:33Uh, what do you think? I heard, I heard a theory though, by the way, speaking of detours, that since you are
9:40such a jerk with the fantasy league, that the throw that hits you in the arm.
9:44It was the other team, the other team actually got out of the way.
9:48So it hit you. Oh, my guy slid. So it hit me.
9:52All right. What do you think about this auction strategy?
9:55You, you want one of the first round running backs.
9:58So you start with a somewhat aggressive bid because these are the, I think the handcuffs, let's say you're in a hundred dollar league.
10:05I think the handcuff running backs are a dollar, dollar players other than like Corham and Mononga.
10:09Right. Right. You start with kind of an aggressive bid on Pacheco or Jordan James.
10:14I don't think he would qualify. Brian Robinson Jr.
10:16In Atlanta, Ray Davis or something like that. I think specifically Pacheco would be the guy you get that guy.
10:22If you get that guy, do you? And then you also get Gibbs, even if you have to overpay.
10:28But do you think that getting the handcuff right out of the gate before Gibbs is even nominated lowers Jameer Gibbs's value at all in an auction league?
10:36Not even close. No, because people might say, I can't handcuff him.
10:39There's no way. Yeah, but there's a lot of people that don't want to handcuff anyway.
10:44I think a lot of. There's a strong portion of the fantasy universe that does not care about that.
10:49I think there's a good chunk that does. Understand this.
10:52Let's say you just said they all go for a dollar, right?
10:56In a hundred dollar budget. So let's say you bid three dollars for Pacheco because that would easily get him.
11:02Yes. Yes. So now you're saying to the rest of the league, hey, I just spent two dollars more on Pacheco.
11:08Yes. Now listen. Now you have to go get Gibbs.
11:11Now before you make fun of me, I think maybe half of your league is like, well, I can't.
11:16I can no longer handcuff him. So it's a little bit risky for me to spend so much of my budget on a player that I can't handcuff.
11:24I really can see this playing out. But wait, hold on, hold on.
11:28I don't. Hold on. Don't make fun of me yet.
11:31The other angle of it is this. Jameer Gibbs.
11:33I think Jameer Gibbs could be so good. I think he could be so good that he could be worth 40% of your budget.
11:40So if you spent 40% of your budget on him and Pacheco, even if he got hurt, you might still be in decent shape.
11:47You know how you can really dominate your league?
11:50You just come out of the gate and you just go, I'm taking Brian Robinson Jr., Isaiah Pacheco, Jordan James.
11:56You know what? I just spent six bucks on all of them and I'm going to get all three of their guys
12:02because now nobody else is going to want to get them.
12:05Spend that extra dollar on DJ Giddens in Indianapolis because everyone's going to head for the hills on Jonathan Taylor.
12:11I think. Hey, why don't you spend five bucks on Yoshiva so that way you can get Jamar Chase for eight cents.
12:17Okay, let's take a break. When we come back.
12:20Let's just not remember the last three minutes of this show.
12:23I wish Dan was out for this. Oh, Dan would be going crazy.
12:27First, Dan would be going on and on about how great auctions are and he's right about that.
12:32We'll save that diatribe for another time. But boy, would he be laying into you for this, Adam.
12:37I don't think so. What a gross misuse of money.
12:40If I were your wife, I'd be concerned about how you're spending our finances.
12:44Also, if I were your wife, this would be a very awkward.
12:48I think. Hold on for one second here. How much do you think.
12:52Let's say out of $100 budget in retrospect, how much do you think Christian McCaffrey, who averaged what almost 25 fantasy, 24
12:58to 25 fantasy points per game last year. How much do you think he was actually worth in retrospect?
13:03Oh, worth? At least. I mean, he was the best player in 50% of your budget.
13:08That's my freaking point right there. I think 50 is too high.
13:12But in retrospect, he was worth at least 40% of your budget.
13:15Right. I was going to say 35. But if you want to say 40.
13:19I think Jameer Gibbs could be that good this year.
13:22I laid it out in the bold predictions episode.
13:25He is incredible. And he hasn't even been the goal line back for the last three years.
13:30If he starts scoring touchdowns, he could be. Yes, that's why you spend the money on him.
13:34But what I'm saying is if you spend the money on both of them, then what you have done is you have
13:41said, all right, my worst case scenario is I spend all this money on Jameer Gibbs and he gets hurt.
13:47And then I don't have the roster because I've spent so much money on Gibbs.
13:51He just got hurt. I don't have the roster to do anything competitive.
13:55Dan, I have you on the air with us.
13:57Just stop interrupting me for five seconds. I don't have the roster because I spent so much on Gibbs.
14:03But if you make sure you get Pacheco, then that's an important thing to do.
14:07That makes your team more viable because Pacheco could be 70% of that if he's the lead back.
14:12All right, forget it. You guys aren't taking it seriously.
14:15No, no, no. I'm hearing everything you say. The difference is that Pacheco isn't going to do more than maybe 50% of what you're expecting.
14:22No, I think he could do better than that.
14:25If he's the lead running back for the Lions, he could do 70.
14:29We could score 16, 17 points per game. He could be very good.
14:33All right, we're going to take a break. When we come back, we'll go through your news and notes and get to
14:39the Do Not Draft list on Fantasy Football today.
14:42All right, we are back. Welcome back, everybody. Draft-a-thon is starting very soon.

15:26That's how you need to be playing fantasy football this year.
15:30You can scan the QR code right here on YouTube.com slash FantasyFootball today and download the CBS Sports Fantasy app.
15:35It's new. It's improved. It's really, really good now.
15:38And it has been, but it's freaking awesome now.
15:41So please check it out. And we want to hear about it.
15:44We want you to tell us what you like or what you don't like about it.
15:49People have already been reaching me on my inbox and on Twitter telling me about what they love about the new app.
15:55And I'm passing it along to every single one of our back-end geniuses that have built this.
16:00And I use the term genius with sincerity. They are really smart people.
16:04This app is great. Let's go to the news and notes.
16:07With Arizona and Jacoby Brissett agreeing to a one-year deal, $15.5 million, chance to earn $21 million for Brissett.
16:13And he was, I think he was eighth best for a stretch, like for a long stretch, before kind of struggling down
16:19the stretch the last three games of the season.
16:21But he was really good. Currently QB 30 in Fantasy Pros, outside the top 22 in CBS, but understandably so.
16:27In a two-quarterback league, Jamie, do you have interest in Jacoby Brissett?
16:31Absolutely. You know, I think depending on how you draft, you know, especially if you want to take one of your quarterbacks
16:37early and then sort of piece together your number two and your number three or just your number two quarterback.
16:43But it's one of those situations where I think you know what you're going to get from him.
16:48You know, he's probably going to be on a bad week still in that 17, 18 point per game range.
16:54There'll obviously be some disasters in there, but I still think we're going to see them throw the ball a lot.
17:00The run game is going to be better because the additions of Love and Algier and a healthy James Conner.
17:06So you probably won't get them leading the NFL in pass attempts, but this is still a very, very much a defense
17:12in progress, rebuilding the defense in progress. So we're going to see a lot of probably games where they're chasing points.
17:18They're already 10 and a half point underdogs in week one against the Chargers.
17:22So, you know, right away you could see them in a situation where they have to pass a lot.
17:28And if everybody stays healthy, the weapons are great, you know, with Harrison, Wilson and McBride.
17:32So I think there's still an opportunity for Jacoby Brissett as long as he stays the starter to still be a borderline top 15 quarterback.
17:40So it's just a lot of people aren't going to trust him out to start the season to be at the start
17:46of the season to be that guy. All right, Dave, Daniel Jones has been fully cleared for training camp.
17:52Alec Pierce is on the pup list after ankle surgery in March.
17:55So we expected that he may not be back until late in camp, maybe after preseason starts.
18:00So we got Daniel Jones, who was QB 13 per game and four point 14 and six point.
18:05But remember, he barely played against Jacksonville, scored eight tenths of a fantasy point.
18:09If you remove that game, if you remove that game, Daniel Jones was a top eight quarterback, slightly better than Dak Prescott last year.
18:16And he scored 24 or more points in five of his first eight games and six point for passing touchdown leagues.
18:22What do you think about Daniel Jones this year?
18:25I think he's a better number two QB than Brissett, because if he stays healthy, he's going to be the starter in Indianapolis for the entire season.
18:33Whereas Brissett, we're just not sure how long he's going to be the starter for in Arizona.
18:38But that's it. I don't see him getting drafted into one QB league.
18:41I'm glad he's going to participate in all of training camp.
18:45So it's good for the passing game to have that continuity and not have to deal with Jones being slow to recover and all that other stuff.
18:52And I'm kind of hoping a little bit that he doesn't run as much.
18:56And that obviously hurts his fantasy production, but it'll help his pass attempts.
19:00And that's good for all the pass catchers that he has.
19:03I did move Pierce down a little bit on the pup news, especially since there's a chance he could miss half of training camp.
19:10We don't know exactly when he's going to come back.
19:13And now there's just so many ifs with Pierce.
19:16If he can take on a different role in the offense, if he sees a higher target volume, if he can command
19:22more targets than Tyler Warren and Josh Downs, if he can be healthy enough to practice for three plus weeks before the season starts.
19:29It's just too much. His ADP on fantasy pros is right around 80th overall.
19:33I might be a little higher than that, but he's still somebody that I'm looking at round seven, round eight.
19:39I think he's Alec Pierce is flirting with my do not draft list, although I don't think he's going all that high.
19:45I mean, wide receiver 34, 79th overall for a guy who's the investment there.
19:49Right, right. There's nobody behind him that I think, oh, I would take Jordan Tyson over him, I think.
19:55Dave would know. I mean, look, there are guys you can make a case for over him.
20:00I just think in that spot, there's so much opportunity for him.
20:03And so even if he does get off to a slow start, like think about Christian Watson last year, right?
20:09If you get that type of production late in the season or middle of the late in the season, you'll be thrilled.
20:15Yep. All right, just a few more things here.
20:18Tucker Craft's on the pup list. Josh Jacobs' domestic violence case is still an open investigation.
20:23Marshawn Lloyd is... You can just stop there. That's why he's on my do not draft list.
20:28Okay. Marshawn Lloyd is healthy, and Micah Parsons is likely to miss at least three to four weeks.
20:33San Francisco wide receiver Christian Kirk is not healthy.
20:35He's going to miss some time with a calf strain.
20:38Rookie wide receiver Dijon Stribling, though, appears to be having a good camp, and Brock Purdy called Dijon Stribling a baller.
20:44Seattle wide receiver Torrey Horton is limited. He avoided the pup list.
20:48He had a shin injury in November, did not come back, but he avoided the pup list, so Torrey Horton limited.
20:54Janarian Price has been used a lot in the passing game, but it's because that's where he needs the most work right now.
21:01He and Helani have been alternating with the starters.
21:03Helani's been getting the first rep in all the drills, apparently.
21:06Tampa Bay defensive tackle Vita Vea has requested a trade.
21:09This used to be a guy where when he played, you couldn't run on them.
21:14When he did not play, you could run all over them, basically.
21:17That wasn't really the case last year. They allowed 4.31 yards per carry to running backs.
21:22He played a full season. Great news for Pittsburgh.
21:24Offensive tackle Broderick Jones. I mean, it was possible that he wasn't going to play this year from what I understood.
21:30He will avoid... That's probably a stretch. I just didn't have a timetable.
21:34I didn't know the timetable. He's going to avoid the pup list.
21:38He's making good progress. Broderick Jones for the Steelers.
21:40Meanwhile, cornerback Jalen Ramsey is going to be out a few weeks for Pittsburgh.
21:44And Minnesota is signing safety Jamal Adams. Okay. We've got the do not draft list now for Dave and Jamie.
21:50Dave has two lists. One where the ADP is just a little bit off.
21:54We'll fly through that list. And one where the ADP is very off.
21:58And Jamie has a list of players as well.
22:01Headlined by McCaffrey and A-Chan, who we already told you about.
22:04And Josh Jacobs. I guess I'll just ask you real quick about Jacobs.
22:07So the open investigation still into the domestic violence.
22:10He's currently going at the 2-3 turn. 24th, 25th overall.
22:13Nope. No? So, yeah. Where would you take him?
22:16And what do you think the – I don't know if you've been reading up on it or not.
22:21But do you have any idea of whether or not Jacobs might be suspended this year?
22:26It doesn't sound at this moment that he's going to be suspended.
22:29But you never know how the NFL works with these things if he's formally charged and has to face, I don't think, jail time.
22:36But we'll see. Depending on how the case plays itself out.
22:39I'm not a legal expert, so I don't want to speak about that.
22:43But, I mean, we've seen situations like this before.
22:46I was completely the opposite when Ezekiel Elliott was going through his thing.
22:49I said, you absolutely draft him because if this does play itself out where he doesn't see any missed time during the
22:56season, you're getting the best or one of the best running backs at that moment, that time, that point in his career.
23:02So I think Jacobs' mid to end of round three is worth it.
23:06But early part of round three, late round two, there are just other players I think are potentially just as good and a lot less risky.
23:13Okay. All right. Dave, ADP is a little off on five players.
23:17Four of them are wide receivers. Zay Flowers, 40th overall.
23:20Where would you take him? If that's what his ADP is, I'm pretty good with that, actually.
23:25I was seeing his ADP higher than that earlier in the offseason.
23:28I've got him at 40th, so scratch him off the list then.
23:32Cross him off then. Malik Neighbors, 35th, 34th, right around there, depending on CBS versus Sponsor.
23:36I want to race him up my rank list so bad because it sounds like he's not going to be on the pup list, and that's awesome.
23:44But I'm still worried that he's not going to be the full version of himself until maybe the second half of this year.
23:51And I almost think that that's an optimistic outlook.
23:53This one's obviously subject to change. If he starts practicing in two weeks and he looks like his old self, then he's
24:00going to go right back in round two. People are going to be excited about Malik Neighbors because he's ultra talented.
24:06But for now, I just think it's a little too soon to take him in late round three.
24:11Yeah, I took Neighbors around 40th overall, something like that, in our pick-by-pick.
24:15Devontae Adams, he's about wide receiver 24, going around 58th on CBS, 52nd in Fantasy Pros.
24:20This is another wide receiver that has seen his ADP drop since a couple weeks ago in the offseason.
24:25He was going as a late round four, early round five pick.
24:28Now it's more late round five, early round six.
24:31He might become a bargain at some point. If he starts falling into round six, especially in half and non-PPR, I almost
24:37think that that's a bargain because I still think he can get you eight touchdowns over the course of the year.
24:44Just seeing his numbers decline a little bit more, the efficiency has already happened.
24:48The targets have happened over the past couple of seasons.
24:50That could continue on this year. I think late round five is okay.
24:54Okay, yeah. We know Devontae Adams scores touchdowns. 86% of the wide receivers who have scored eight or more touchdowns in the last 10 seasons.
25:01Not over the 10-season span, but in one individual season.
25:04So 86% of eight touchdown scores at wide receiver have averaged 13.4 or more PPR fantasy points per game, which is kind
25:11of the in-between what wide receiver 24 was in 2024 and 2025.
25:14It would have been wide receiver 18 last year.
25:17So if he's going, basically my point is, if Adams is going 24th in ADP, if he scores eight or more touchdowns,
25:23based on the last decade, he's got an 86% chance to likely meet his average draft position.
25:28I'd rather have neighbors than Adams, and obviously the ADP reflects that.
25:32DK, no, sorry. Marvin Harrison Jr. going 68th in CBS 72nd on Fantasy Pros.
25:36Harrison is wide receiver 31 on both sites. I'm a little bit behind that as far as wide receiver rankings go.
25:42I'm basically okay with the ADP. We're seeing a lot of Cardinals highlights because they were one of the first teams to
25:48camp, and they've been practicing a lot. My takeaway from all their highlights is their defense is going to stink this year.
25:54And Marv, there's going to be some sort of a target crunch.
25:58Don't think he can break away as being the top wide receiver in Arizona.
26:02He'll make some good plays, but I just don't know how great of a fit he is as the primary perimeter receiver
26:08in an offense that's just dominated with pass catchers winning over the middle between the numbers.
26:13We saw it in LA, and I think we're going to see something similar to that, that type of build in Arizona.
26:19And if Marvin Harrison is going to be outside and working outside the numbers, his stats have shown that he's not very good there.
26:26And that makes me nervous to put him – what is this, the end of round six?
26:31I guess that's okay. But I still feel like we're drafting him based on his draft capital, his last name, who his
26:38dad is, and not based on what we've seen from him more bad than good over the last two seasons.
26:43The only thing that keeps me going back to Marvin Harrison is what we started with, with Jacoby Brissett, is in the
26:50four games where he played at least 61% of the snaps with Brissett because there were only four.
26:55He averaged 14.4 PPR points per game, and he averaged 8.8 targets per game.
26:59Now, again, are they going to throw as much?
27:02That's the big question. How much more does the new offense change for him and for Michael Wilson?
27:07Wilson was talking about how he's moving, I think, from the Z to the X, the X to the Z.
27:13I forget what you said. X to the Z.
27:15And how much more that's going to benefit his game, which is obvious.
27:19So if he's in different spots, and we've heard the Puga Nakua, Devontae Adams comparison for these two guys, again, don't think
27:25about those two players, but think about those two roles and potential opportunities, mostly from a target standpoint, because it might not
27:32be that far off if they're throwing that much.
27:34But when you factor in everything for all three of these guys, and I'll put Terry McBride in there, and when you're
27:41comparing McBride to Bowers or even McBride to Loveland based on their cost, it's just one of those things where I think
27:47you're looking at Marvin and Wilson specifically. Where they're going makes just a ton of sense, because if they are going to
27:53throw a lot, you're hoping that Marvin Harris and everything Dave said that we're still chasing, again, it did show up with Brissette, and hopefully continues with Brissette.
28:02And Wilson was awesome when Marvin wasn't there, and Marvin got dinged up a little bit in the early practices, as Dave alluded to.
28:09So there's reasons to buy into these guys, as long as you're just not overpaying, and I think that's the biggest thing with him.
28:15So who's moving to the X for them? Well, Marvin, according to...
28:19Oh, they're switching. They'll switch, but I would imagine the Marvin will be on a little bit more.
28:24Yeah. Okay. And Jalen Warren, 77th overall in CBS, 76th in Fantasy Pros, right around RB29.
28:29And I'm basically right there on him, too. And it's still not somebody that I'm excited to draft.
28:34He's more of a settle-for, low-end RB2. I think he and Rico Dowdle could end up being in a very annoying split.
28:40Before we get to Dave's, ADP is a lot off list.
28:44Jamie, is there any one... Let's see, you talked about McCaffrey, HN, and Jacobs.
28:48Um, Trey McBride. This is another one where it's like you like him, you just think he's going a little too early.
28:54And the ADPs are actually quite different. On Fantasy Pros, Trey McBride is tight end 1, going 20th overall.
28:59And on CBS, he's tight end 2, going 28th overall.
29:02Yeah, I love that. This was really... I just kind of took it as who haven't...
29:07I think you put a line in the notes, like, who have you not been drafting?
29:12And I just have not been drafting Trey McBride.
29:14So, like, I took Bowers for the first time in our pick-by-pick, which was...
29:18I had the first overall pick, and I took him at the turn.
29:22I think that's easy. I'm just much more excited about Bowers than I am McBride.
29:26And to me, if I'm going to take McBride, even in the range that he's going on CBS, like, I'd rather just
29:33wait and take one of the other tight ends later.
29:36So, I think we're going to see a little bit of a step back from McBride.
29:40How much? We'll find out. You know, so... Again, he's still awesome.
29:44He should still be the second tight end off the board.
29:47I don't think he comes close to what he did last year.
29:50I certainly don't think he annihilates the field like he did last year.
29:54And if you're going to be early on a tight end, to me, it's easily go Bowers.
29:59Let's go to Dave's. ADP is a lot. He's off a lot.
30:03All right. Brees Hall was the first one you mentioned.
30:05Jamison Williams. He is wide receiver 27 on CBS, 26 in Fantasy Pros.
30:09Fantasy Pros, he's 57th overall. Jamison Williams, Dave, is on your do-not-draft list.
30:13He had 4.8 targets per game in nine games with St.
30:16Brown and Sam Laporta last year. He does not have a great track record of putting up great fantasy numbers when Laporta is healthy.
30:23And now here comes Drew Petzing with a noted history of utilizing multiple tight end personnel and targeting tight ends in his offense.
30:30And I just think that that's part of the reason why the Lions brought him in.
30:34I think the Lions want to be bigger and tougher on offense.
30:38They want to be able to use their tight ends not only to win matchups in the middle of the field, but
30:44also to help block in the run game. That's a strength for Jameer Gibbs.
30:48And Jamison Williams is an awesome talent. I love the talent.
30:52Like literally one of my favorite wide receivers in the league.
30:55But I just don't see the volume being there for him.
30:58And that makes him more of a boom-bust type of number three wide receiver.
31:02And so I hate the idea of getting him where his ADP is.
31:06It's right around 60th overall. That's the end of round five.
31:09I think it's way too soon. End of round six is where I'd start to come in on Jameau.
31:14Jordan Tyson. He is going in the 80s. So that's what round?
31:18Like the 7-8 turn I think he's going, Jordan Tyson.
31:21As wide receiver 36 on both CBS and Fantasy Pros.
31:24I am as a round nine pick. And a late round nine pick at that.
31:28Wow. I, again, a great talent, but not a perfect prospect.
31:31Had a lot of injuries in college. I would almost forgive him for the ACL and the knee issue that he had
31:38that knocked him out for a year. But every other thing that he's had that he's dealt with is a little bit concerning.
31:44Just consistently getting banged up. He was banged up during the offseason for New Orleans.
31:49And I think it'll take him time to adjust to the Saints offense.
31:52And I do think the Saints offense is headed in the right direction as long as Chris Olave is active and playing.
31:59I worry about what type of target volume he's going to have.
32:02And I feel like it's the draft capital and the upside profile that people are just falling in love with.
32:08And it's almost like nothing else matters when the reality of the situation is that he's not the only show in town.
32:14He's not going to see seven plus targets per game.
32:17There's a chance that you'll be without him for chunks of the season.
32:21I can't take him where the ADP is. I don't see the bull case for him.
32:26Okay. So you will not be getting any Jordan Tyson.
32:29Jamie, what do you think about Tyson going, you know, 80, let's say 85th, 86th, somewhere around there?
32:34It feels a little too soon. But again, when you start to get into that range of players, you're looking for upside.
32:40And he has it based on what his potential could be.
32:43But, I mean, Dave's not off with the injury history.
32:46And he has already been banged up, you know, this offseason.
32:49They've been managing his hamstring from a year ago.
32:52I believe it's the hamstring injury that he dealt with from a year ago.
32:56So the only thing that keeps me going back to it is we don't know yet how healthy Olave is.
33:02You know, so he had the blood clot situation this entire offseason.
33:05He's got the concussion history. Like, if he does miss any time, my gosh, Jordan Tyson could be an absolute stud.
33:11So I don't agree with what you said. Like, I still think there's more upside for now, at least with Alec Pierce
33:18in his offense and his situation than there is with Jordan Tyson.
33:21But that's where you're starting to get to. You know, you're talking about wide receiver 33, 34 for Pierce.
33:27And, you know, maybe wide receiver 40 for Jordan Tyson.
33:30So it's not far off if you really want to, you know, just avoid the Pierce injury and pupless situation.
33:35Again, that's not the ideal person to pivot to in Tyson, given his history.
33:39But I just think Kellen Moore's offense, like, you want pieces of that.
33:43It's going to be fun once again. I see Michael Wilson, George Kittle, Parker Washington, Wondell Robinson, all going after Tyson on Fantasy Pros ADP.
33:50I'll take all of them ahead of Tyson. Cool.
33:53I don't know. That was a mix between OK and cool.
33:56And it was like, Cole. DK Metcalf. And he is going 90th on CBS, 82nd and Fantasy Pros, either wide receiver 39,
34:03wide receiver 35, depending on the site. DK Metcalf.
34:05Oh, Dave, you and I are going to have to fight over who is not going to take DK Metcalf.
34:11He had just as many games with under 10 PPR points last year as he did with 14 plus.
34:17And now the Steelers have added not one, but two pass catchers that are definite upgrades for their whole offense.
34:22And the offense is changing. It's Mike McCarthy and his love of slants and shorter throws and types of routes that DK Metcalf can run.
34:30But Michael Pittman's been better at them. Jeremy Bernard in college was better at them.
34:34Aaron Rodgers has some options now. And it just makes me think that the target volume for DK Metcalf might go down a little bit.
34:41The efficiency could go down a lot. And this is not somebody that I want to draft.
34:46I think people are drafting him because of his name.
34:49And once upon a time, he was a great wide receiver.
34:52He was stuck in an offense that rarely challenged downfield last year.
34:56He had his worst per game average in any reception-based format since his rookie year.
35:00I just don't see him turning it around. He averaged barely 12 PPR points per game last year.
35:05I'm going to take the under on that one, Adam.
35:08So is everybody like Pittman better than Metcalf at this point?
35:11Yes, I do. I don't know about Jamie, but I do.
35:14I know Jamie was on the fence. Pittman better than Metcalf.
35:18Not yet. No. Okay. And last one for Dave is Kenny Kenneth.
35:21Ken Gainwell of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is right around pick 100 as RB35.
35:25And I get the idea of why you'd love him after what happened last year.
35:30He had 5.1 targets per game, but I think that's more because of Aaron Rodgers more than anything else.
35:35I don't think he'll see that same type of target volume.
35:38I do think he's going to be in the Rashad White role.
35:42That role has usually been around three and a half to four targets per game.
35:46And I don't know how many carries he's going to take away on a week-to-week basis as long as Bucky Irving is okay.
35:53Now, we know the track record with Bucky isn't great.
35:56I'll submit that because he's going after 100th overall, it's not that bad of a pick if you're taking him in round nine.
36:02I'd rather get him in round 10, maybe even round 11.
36:06Certainly round 11 if it's non-PPR. In full PPR, I get it.
36:09He's going to have some good value, and he could be a decent flex and potential spot starter for your fantasy team.
36:16But don't go into this year thinking that he's going to be the exact same guy that he was last year when
36:22he was averaging 13 PPR points per game. I don't think that's going to happen.
36:26Now, Johnny Airport points out in the chat that I could not afford to draft DK Metcalf because I spent all of
36:33my auction money on handcuffs to start the draft.
36:35I think the point that I was not making well enough was that I think Jameer Gibbs has the potential to be insanely good this year.
36:43And I'm happy to overpay for him and Pacheco because in an auction, if you draft Jameer Gibbs, you're going to limit
36:49– if you spend a lot on Jameer Gibbs, you're going to limit the rest of your roster.
36:54You have – I think you really have to get Pacheco because I think Pacheco is the best handcuff in fantasy this year.
37:01Jamie, I love how he's making this point now that Dan left the private chat.
37:05No, he's not. Dan's still here. He's still – Dan is spamming our YouTube chat.
37:10You should let Dan on just to have him coming.
37:13I don't want Dan on – Dan on, we'll never get to the do not avoid list or the do not draft list.
37:19We just got through half the do not draft list.
37:22Yeah, and now we've got to talk about George Pickens for Jamie and Travis Etienne or HN and Jeremiah Love.
37:28We can do that when we come back. I just want to point out Kenneth Gainwell mentioned the Rashad White role.
37:34That was a pretty lousy role as it turned out once they decided Bucky Irving was their guy.
37:39In 10 games with Bucky Irving last year, Rashad White averaged 6.2 points per game.
37:44And if you look at 2024, they kind of decided last four games of the year, I think two regular season, two playoff in 2024, Bucky's our guy.
37:52Rashad White, he barely got any work. Yeah, I just think the money that they paid him and what Bucky Irving happened
37:58with him last year, I think Gainwell's going to have a pretty significant role in the past game.
38:03All right. All right. Well, let's take a break.
38:06I'm very curious to see why George Pickens is on Jamie's do not draft list going at the 2-3 turn.
38:12We'll be right back on FFT. Perhaps Jamie not swayed by the George Pickens-CD Lamb discussion yesterday.
38:17But all right. You have McCaffrey and HN. We talked about them.
38:20Josh Jacobs, Trey McBride. We talked about them on your do not draft list.
38:24Why is George Pickens here? He's wide receiver nine at the 2-3 turn.
38:28Yeah, it's not so much that I would not draft him.
38:31It's that I have not drafted him, and I probably will continue to avoid him just with the other receivers going around him.
38:38So once A.J. Brown's ADP officially passes him, that's an easy one for me because I like A.J.
38:43Brown's situation better. And like I said yesterday, I like Devontae Smith better than George Pickens.
38:48So when I get to that range of receivers, I just think Pickens is going to take a step back.
38:53I think we're going to see a better CD Lamb.
38:56I think we're going to see less volume in the passing attack across the board for the Cowboys.
39:01And so Pickens just makes me a little nervous.
39:04So still, I love him at that value. It's where I usually see him go middle of round two.
39:10That makes me a little queasy. But he's just somebody I haven't drafted yet, and that's kind of why I put him on the list.
39:17Did you say Nico? I would take Nico over him, yeah.
39:20So Nico, AJ Brown, and Devontae Smith over Pickens.
39:23Dave, how do you feel about that? Not Devontae Smith, but the rest for sure.
39:27How long? And I would take both tight ends ahead of George Pickens, too.
39:31McBride and Bowers. You know, I had a stat in the notes that I decided after my incredibly insightful auction strategy discussion.
39:37I got rid of the stat. It was about CJ Stroud.
39:40This is from CBS Sports Research. Oh, I wish I hadn't deleted it.
39:44But he's the first quarterback. Let's see. Only quarterback in NFL history with a passing yards per game drop of 50-plus from
39:51year one to years two and three. Yes. So he is 50 yards worse per game in years two and three than he was in year one.
39:58Now, part of the reason for that is he's left some games with injuries, and it's really knocked that number down.
40:05But, yeah, CJ Stroud just hasn't been very good.
40:07I'm a huge Nico Collins fan, but I saw that stat, and I remember he had, what, 10 fumbles or something like that in two playoff games?
40:15He had something crazy, ridiculous amount of turnovers in two playoff games.
40:18And, you know, you've got the stability of Dak Prescott there.
40:22So when you compare those two players specifically, am I making a case for Pickens over Nico Collins?
40:27I would take Nico, but the quarterback is just, Jamie, it's not even close, really.
40:31Yeah. I mean, when you look at it, sure.
40:34You could probably make the same argument for Pickens versus Drake London if you're concerned about the quarterbacks, right?
40:39So, like, when you start to look at some of the guys there, Justin Jefferson, you know, and the quarterbacks.
40:45So sometimes you've got to have a little bit, I guess, blind faith in that the quarterback and the coaching staff and
40:51the offense, et cetera, will hopefully overcome some of the inconsistent quarterback play or, you know, in the case of CJ Stroud, poor quarterback play.
40:59But, you know, Nico's going to get fed targets.
41:01And I think Stroud is good enough that he can support at least one wide receiver at a high level, as we've seen.
41:08Five fumbles and five interceptions in two playoff games.
41:11The second, I think both of them were bad weather.
41:13The second one definitely at New England was terrible weather.
41:16Yep. All right. Back to Jamie's do not draft list.
41:19Blame it on the rain. And that's the thing with the do not draft list.
41:24For me, I have a lot of guys that are kind of like Pickens, where it's not that I don't like them.
41:30It's that I clearly like guys in the same range better, and I just never end up drafting them.
41:35Yep. It's not saying Pickens is a bust. Just saying that there are other guys I prefer.
41:40And you know who a guy is for me is Jefferson.
41:44I have not gotten myself to draft Justin Jefferson.
41:46Me neither. Me neither. How come? Because, again, there's so many guys at the one-two turn that I love.
41:52Right. Yeah. So, I don't know. I haven't drafted Jefferson yet.
41:55I just don't see him getting back north of 18 PPR points per game with Kyler.
41:59He's going to be better than he was last year.
42:02He's an easy bounce back candidate. Had him on my bounce back list.
42:06But I think if you're drafting with the idea he's around 16 per game, that's great.
42:11And he should be able to hit that. But that's closer to the one-two turn, maybe even early round two.
42:17Rather than top 12. Top 10. All right. I think with Jefferson, I saw the failure last year.
42:22And I fear it won't be nearly that bad.
42:24Correct. I think 16 is the floor. Yeah. But 16 would be disappointing, I think, in the first round.
42:30Right. If you're taking him as a top 10 pick, I think you'd be a little underwhelmed if it's 16.
42:36All right, Jamie. Jeremiah Love going 30th on CBS, 21st on Fantasy Pros.
42:39I know there's no way you're taking him in the second round.
42:43Would you take him 30th, Jeremiah Love? In that range, yeah.
42:46It's just, again, another player that I haven't drafted much.
42:49And when you get to that spot, there's usually receivers on the board that I like better.
42:54So like Abuka, I would take over him. Certainly Devontae Smith, I would take over him at this point.
42:59He's still, for me, in the Josh Jacobs discussion, you know, Kyron Williams discussion.
43:03So depending on what I did in the first two rounds, do I want a safer player in round three or somebody with...
43:10I just don't love the fact that we're going to see, as of now, is really hoping that they would make a
43:16move to get rid of James Conner. Because it sounds like they're going to still use Conner to some degree.
43:22Algiers is going to have an opportunity here. And then a team that will run the ball better than they did a year ago, they were completely miserable.
43:30I still don't think this is a great rushing offense and a team that is going to struggle defensively.
43:36And you've heard in the two episodes we had on with Scott Turner, it's hard to give running backs enough carries in
43:42the fourth quarter when they're chasing points. And in this case, probably chasing points by double digits.
43:47So I think just Jeremiah Love is going to have a lot of great moments.
43:52I think you definitely want him on your dynasty roster, long-term keeper leagues.
43:55But it just feels like we could be in a situation where it's Ashton Gentty worse.
44:00You know, because Gentty didn't have a competition last year.
44:03Love is going to have a lot of competition.
44:05Here's a thought exercise that I went through, and I'd love to hear your answer, both of you.
44:11What would have to happen for you to move Jeremiah Love up into a second-round pick in your rankings?
44:16Top 24 pick you'd be comfortable taking. What would have to happen?
44:20Nothing. Certainly an injury or a move for one of the other running backs would be the starting point.
44:25So Algier or Conor getting injured or Conor getting moved.
44:28Probably some of the guys in front of him, you know, dealing with injuries or concerns.
44:33That's probably the bigger part of this is, you know, who of the top 24 guys has to move down for whatever reason.
44:39You know, so I think that's part of it also.
44:42But it just – we've fallen victim to this as an industry, and I know I have, of here's B.
44:48John Robinson, and here's where he was drafted, and here's what he did in college, and all these things.
44:53Oh, and his talent will overcome the situation. And it didn't happen for B.
44:58John in his rookie season because of Tyler Algier.
45:00And then we get to the next guy, which was Ashton Gentty, and everything is perfect, and there's no competition for targets.
45:06Oh, the offensive line stinks, but he's too good.
45:09He'll overcome it, blah, blah, blah. Right. And he struggles.
45:12So I just – for me, like, I want to view Love, and I wrote this in his player outlook and I think in some other stories.
45:20Like, if you just took Ashton Gentty's numbers and said he was – I think he was the 14th running back.
45:26Like, that's fine for a rookie season. It's absolutely great, you know, for what – how he did on the team that he was on.
45:33It's just we were so disappointed because we had such higher expectations.
45:37Right. And so if Jeremiah Love does that, where now he's ranked in that range, then I think, okay, you know what the expectations are.
45:44And if he lives up to those expectations, you know you got a very good number two running back.
45:49I think if everybody went into it last year and saying Ashton Gentty's going to be a really good number two running
45:56back, you would have been fine with it. Just the fact that you took him in the first round and you took
46:02him, in some cases, over some pretty good players, and then you just were left disappointed.
46:07So I think if you just understand what Jeremiah Love is and the situation that he's in right now, like, he can be better than that.
46:14But I don't know how much worse he'll be.
46:17That's the thing. Right. You went to the same exact place I went to.
46:21The only thing I would add is if we hear, like, the offensive line is better, maybe they make an addition to it in Arizona.
46:28And maybe I'm wrong about the Cardinals' defense sucking, and they're actually going to play better, and they look better in joint practices.
46:35I don't even know if they have a joint practice.
46:38I think they do. But stuff like that. Yeah, I need, like, wholesale change in the running back room in Arizona.
46:44Plus, more bad news about Kyron Williams. Bad news about Josh Jacobs to move Jeremiah Love.
46:48And B. John's rookie year and Ashton Gentry's rookie year, they were almost identical in PPR points per game.
46:54B. John was 14.5. Ashton was 14.4. I think if you draft Jeremiah Love at 14, I think you'll be a happy camper.
47:01And I think that that's reasonable to expect in a middle round three pick.
47:05Yeah. See, I would give B. John more fantasy points than that because of the migraine game.
47:10But you know me. I started him in the migraine game and got no points.
47:14But it didn't really, it doesn't, when we look back at it, it doesn't reflect how good he was when he actually played.
47:21And he wasn't that great. I mean, he still wouldn't have been worth what he was picked, no question.
47:26I don't, you know, I look at round two and I look at the 2-3 turn and I don't think there's much
47:32that could get love there because I think round two is loaded.
47:36And I know we could play this, we could play this soundbite in January and I could sound like an idiot because
47:42there could be a bunch of busts. But when I look at the players going in round two, I just see so many good players.
47:49And at the 2-3 turn, we're talking about A.J.
47:52Brown and George Pickens and Nico Collins and Rasheed Rice.
47:55I mean, Rasheed Rice is going 26th. I don't know how updated that is.
47:59Oh, I love that. That's crazy. Derek Henry going 21st.
48:02You know, Ken Walker might fall there. You got the tight ends and Bowers and McBride.
48:07It's like, I just... And that's not including the quarterbacks if they get there.
48:11Yeah, right now it's only Josh Allen. He's there, but I don't know.
48:14It's hard for Jeremiah Love to crack the top 24 when you've got established, proven players that are really good, which is
48:21why I really want an early pick this year.
48:23Okay. Anywho, Travis Etienne, really excited to hear your thoughts on this.
48:27He's RB18 on CBS and Fantasy Pros. He's going around 40th overall.
48:30So, early to mid round four, you're out if that's the value on Travis Etienne?
48:35Yeah, I'm pretty much out altogether. I think, you know, round five if he's there, clearly I'll be interested.
48:40But if he's in the round four range, early round five range, I'm just concerned because what we saw from what we've
48:47seen from Kellen Moore, he just does not involve his running backs in the passing game to the level that I think
48:53that Travis Etienne needs to be involved. And so you look at it, it's been 20th or worse in running back total targets.
49:00I don't have the exact number in front of me, but he's had some really good pass-catching running backs.
49:05Saquon Barkley and Kenneth Gainwell on the same roster did not get involved in the passing game.
49:10You had last year where Camaro missed a good portion of the season, but we know he wasn't headed in that direction.
49:16And I think they were bottom five in terms of total running back targets.
49:20He had Austin Eckler for a season. That was his best in terms of his last five seasons.
49:26That was actually 20th. And he had Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard.
49:29Didn't involve those guys in the passing game either.
49:32So it's just one of those situations. Dude, Zeke had three straight years with 47 or more catches, though.
49:37I almost think that that's more of a byproduct.
49:40I'm just talking total running back targets. Yeah, it's just, okay, I totally get what you're saying.
49:45If Camaro is an issue, which I think you'd probably expect him to be, then that's one thing.
49:50But if ETN is getting most of those targets, then it's really not a big deal, I think, if the running back team targets.
49:57Okay. I don't think we're going to get necessarily he's not involved in the passing game completely.
50:02This is just not something that's going to enhance his game because it's just not something that he does to a high level.
50:08So when you have guys that have done it at a high level and then they're seeing some of their numbers decline.
50:15So 47 for Zeke is great. I think that's wonderful.
50:18I don't know if Travis Achan gets there in this offense if Camaro stays healthy.
50:22Now, granted, Camaro 31 didn't stay healthy last season.
50:25But if you're going to keep him on the roster, why would you not use that as the primary option in his role?
50:31Yeah. His primary role. Because that's what he's done as well, if not better than most running backs in the league.
50:37So now you're hoping for the touchdown potential here for Travis Achan.
50:41You've talked about this a lot. He's never been a good goal line option.
50:45Never. And so what we've seen from him in two or four seasons has been miserable.
50:50Two or four seasons have been very solid. I think he's going to be good.
50:54He's still ranked as a top 20 running back for me.
50:57I just don't want to take him in round four.
51:00Like, I'd rather take a chance on the upside.
51:03And granted, you could debate the upside. The upside of Quinshawn Judkins, Cam Scadaboo.
51:07I'm trying to think who else I have ranked ahead of him.
51:10I don't know if I've switched. Yeah, Bucky, you have Brees Hall ranked ahead of him?
51:15I definitely have Brees Hall ranked ahead of him.
51:17What about DeAndre Swift, David Montgomery? No, I have him ahead of Montgomery.
51:21So it's like that kind of fall off for me.
51:24I just don't think he's going to be great.
51:27I think we're getting a regression situation for him.
51:29I wish Camaro was gone because I do think then 47 catches, maybe 50 catches, is still within the realm of possibility.
51:36And you can still get Kellen Moore having a decreased number of reception totals there or targets for his running backs.
51:42It's just it's not something that he caters to.
51:44And I think these type of players need that hat to have part of their game to get them to the fantasy production that we need to get.
51:52Yeah, I mean, I totally see your point. I just feel like there aren't that many guys after the first couple rounds that are every down backs.
52:00I mean, there's hardly any. I don't think he's an every down back.
52:04Yeah, right. But that's the thing is he's being drafted in the range of other non-every down backs.
52:09Scadaboo actually could be based on last year. I mean, not an every down back, but he's going to play on third down based on last year.
52:17Bucky Irving probably isn't. Quinchon Judkins isn't. DeAndre Swift, you know, he might play some third downs, but we know he's going to be in a split.
52:25These are the guys going after him. Travion Henderson.
52:27So, I guess the knock you have on ETN, I feel like would be a similar knock for every other running back in his range.
52:35Even Brees Hall. Goal line and passing downs, right?
52:37Absolutely. Yeah, we'll see about that one. But yeah.
52:40At least each hand's on an offense that should put up a lot of points, and that's a saving grace for him.
52:46I don't think he hasn't been an efficient runner very much over the course of his career.
52:51He's much more of a compiler than anything else, but he's been consistent for fantasy.
52:56He's been seventh in consistency for fantasy two of the last three seasons.
52:59You just need him to get north of 15 touches a game.
53:03And that's what kind of saved him last year was that he averaged 17.4 touches per game.
53:08And if he can come close to that in New Orleans while staying healthy on a team that's got a good offensive
53:14line, I think they've got a good enough offensive line anyway.
53:17Terrible defense. Should score a lot of points. I do like the upside of this offense overall.
53:22Yeah, I think A-Chen can return good value as a round four pick.
53:26I might be in the minority there. I struggle a lot with it.
53:30I see all of Jamie's points. I also see Kamara as arguably one of the worst rushers in football for a while.
53:36And last year he was terrible, at least his efficiency, as a receiver, although I think those are kind of fluky stats.
53:42And he's 31 and he gets hurt. So I've been kind of pro-ETN, but in the back of my mind is always everything that Jamie just said there.
53:51I mean, I totally see where you're coming from.
53:53He's a tough one for me. Ted Earl McMillan is on your do not draft list.
53:58He's going in the same range as Travis Etienne.
54:00We talked about this a lot recently. I think just looking at it with how Bryce Young is going to operate, how
54:07Jalen Coker impacted McMillan down the stretch last season, the offensive tackles not being there for the start of the season, maybe
54:13into the middle part of the season. Who knows?
54:16Just in terms of their injuries, blood clot situation, et cetera.
54:19So I think McMillan is very good. I think he's a good number two running back, a number two receiver.
54:25Again, I see the numbers here from Sportsline, their projections.
54:28127 targets, 74 catches, 1,094 yards, seven touchdowns. They have him as a 25 receiver.
54:32It's kind of where he finished last year. So if I can get him in this range, I'm okay with it.
54:38But he's just not somebody that I – when I see him going round three, I'm like, okay, somebody else took that chance.
54:45I don't want to do it. Right. I'm going to ask you about two other running backs.
54:50I'll group them in with Etienne. You have Etienne – sorry, HN, Travis HN.
54:54You have both HNs. You have Bucky Irving who's going in the fourth round.
54:58And Travion Henderson who's going in the fifth round.
55:00So those are running backs 18, 19, and 22 or 23, somewhere between 18 and 23.
55:05That's Travis HN, Bucky Irving, and Travion Henderson. If you're not drafting them, who are you drafting at running back in that range, rounds four, five-ish?
55:12I'm probably not drafting a running back. But if I was, it would probably be lower.
55:17I'd probably wait for Montgomery who I think would be a steal.
55:21I probably would be in on – I'd be in on Swift over Irving and Henderson.
55:25Judkins if he's there. Okay. Those are the names I was going to – And then if I miss on those guys,
55:32it's probably because I went with a running back, running back start or I'm just stockpiling receivers here, mostly in the three-receiver league.
55:38So I probably would take three receivers and a flex.
55:41And then I would just start throwing darts at a Pollard, a Hubbard.
55:45Tootin. Rashad White. Tootin. Gainwell. You know, those type of guys in PPR where I'll just try and hope to get one,
55:51if not two, Jalen Warren, Rico Dowdle, one of those two guys.
55:55Like I'll reference the pick-by-pick draft that we did because that was the first overall pick.
55:59I started with Jameer Gibbs, Brock Bowers, Devontae Smith, DJ Moore, Quinshawn Judkins.
56:03And then it was Marvin Harrison and Cardinal Tate.
56:06And then it was Shua Hubbard and Rico Dowdle.
56:08So a little bit different because I already had two running backs there, but kind of to the point.
56:14And then the other draft at seventh overall, I started running back, running back.
56:18I didn't take another running back until J.K. Dobbins in round eight.
56:21So same type of scenario. Just pass on that whole group.
56:25Cool. Last guy is Caleb Williams. QB 10 on CBS, QB 9 on Fantasy Pros, 105th on CBS, 91st on Fantasy Pros.
56:31I kind of feel like his ADP has gotten a little lower.
56:34It's gotten a lot better. It's just somebody – this isn't somebody that I would pass on, just somebody I haven't drafted yet.
56:41Kind of the reason why he was going too soon.
56:44So as he continues to fall, I like it.
56:47I know one guy you don't like, which I'm curious how you feel about Justin Herbert versus Caleb Williams.
56:52But I think there's much more upside with Herbert.
56:55I think there's much more upside with Trevor Lawrence.
56:57Not much more upside, but more upside with Trevor Lawrence.
57:00I think Caleb Williams is going to be good.
57:03I just don't know if he's going to break through that ceiling like we're hoping for.
57:07So I'll take the over on the sports line projections that you're looking at.
57:11I do think he gets the first 4,000-yard season in Bears history, if you say so.
57:16Obviously, we're all excited about the receiving core here to various degrees of Colston Love and Luther Byrd and Romo Dunze.
57:22And so Caleb showed a lot of great things at the end of last season.
57:27I just don't know if he's going to crack the top five.
57:30And I think there's a chance that Herbert and Lawrence could crack the top five.
57:34Yeah, you said I don't like Herbert. It's the same thing.
57:38I do like Herbert quite a bit. I just – I'm sorry.
57:41He was on your do not draft. Yeah, on my do not draft list in this like your George Pickens is – I like Herbert a lot.
57:49I just feel like I don't think that he or Caleb Williams is necessarily that much better than Brock Purdy or Jared
57:55Goff or Matthew Stafford or Trevor Lawrence. And I see Herbert and Caleb sort of being at the top of that group in ADP.
58:02So I don't mind taking them, especially if they're going around 100th.
58:06Williams was going in like the 70s or something like that.
58:09I mean, he was going super early, maybe the 80s.
58:12But around 100th, it's 90th, 100th, whatever. It's totally fine.
58:15I just think it's a pretty big group of quarterbacks who could all finish top five around there.
58:20And I don't want to take the first or the second one.
58:23Herbert, yeah, I know you love Herbert. And we'll get to him tomorrow on the quarterbacks preview.
58:28Just, you know, dug into it yesterday. I'm optimistic for him.
58:31You know, the setup is so good. He could have the best receiving core of his career.
58:36He could have the best offensive line of his career.
58:39The best offensive coordinator of his career. That's all awesome.
58:42But he's only been great twice. And both of those years, he averaged more than 39 pass attempts per game.
58:48So I just, I haven't seen it that he can be, sorry.
58:51I haven't seen that he can be like a standout in yards per attempt.
58:55But then again, he's a better player than Tua Tungvaluwa.
58:58And if Tua Tungvaluwa could be a standout in yards per attempt, then I guess Herbert can too.
59:04Then again, Ladd McConkie, Quentin Johnson, they're not Tyreek Hill, Jalen Waddell.
59:07So I have a lot of thoughts, but ultimately I think he's really good, has a chance to be great.
59:13But I think a lot of quarterbacks do. I just don't want to take the first one in that group.
59:19Right. All right. So quarterback preview tomorrow. You know what?
59:21I'm going to leave you with this. Quarterback was really bad last year, in my opinion.
59:26And we are approaching it this year as if it's really, really good.
59:30And four of the first five picks last year at quarterback were busts.
59:34Josh Allen was not. And then it was Lamar Jackson, Jane Daniels, Joe Burrow, and Jalen Hurts.
59:39I would call Hurts a slight bust. The other three pretty obvious busts.
59:42And Lamar Jackson was tearing it up before his injury, but it still happened.
59:46Yet we are approaching this year like, oh, quarterback is so deep.
59:50And I think it's true. So why is that?
59:52We'll talk to you about that tomorrow. Thanks a lot to Dave and Jamie.
59:56Thanks a lot to Dan for stirring it up in the chat.
