Garrett Wilson has a history of sounding off when he feels underutilized and is frustrated by the constant losing with the Jets throughout his career. While MacGregor Wells clarifies that Wilson appeared to be yelling at passing game coordinator Seth Ryan rather than Geno Smith during last Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, Wilson's frustration with the organization is evident. It's possible Wilson could eventually demand a trade, though he doesn't appear to be at that point yet.NegativeUsageOct 29, 2026
While Garrett Wilson remains the Jets' top option in the passing game with 37 catches for 444 yards and three touchdowns through seven games, his production has significantly decreased over the last two weeks. He's logged just six catches for 70 yards in the last couple of contests combined, a decline partly attributable to rookie wideout Omar Cooper Jr.'s return from injured reserve.NegativeUsageOct 26, 2026
Wilson was visibly frustrated on the sidelines during the Jets' loss to Miami in Week 7, giving quarterback Geno Smith an earful with the team down four points in the fourth quarter. Despite Smith having a decent game (23/30, 287 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT), Wilson received only three targets, which appears to have been the source of his frustration. The Jets' loss to a winless Dolphins team compounded the issue.PositiveUsageOct 12, 2026

This touchdown reception highlights Wilson's continued involvement in the Jets' passing game and his ability to make plays on the opening drive.
