All Turf Show Times insights about LaJohntay Wester

PositiveValueOct 30, 2026
The source identifies Wester as an affordable trade target with prototypical kick returner traits despite his diminutive 5'10" 165 lbs frame. Good speed (4.46 forty) and burst (1.53 ten-yard split) with vision and cuts made at speed through traffic. On offense, he fits the Rams' motion system and could create mismatches against safeties or linebackers with his one-cut move style. A 2025 seventh-round pick (#203) by Baltimore, Wester is in his second season as primary punt returner and has also returned kickoffs. His offensive snaps have fallen off a cliff since the first three weeks of the season, limiting his value in Baltimore's slot receiver role behind Zay Flowers. The Rams' extensive pre-snap motion and condensed/stack sets could liberate his open-field running skills for dynamic screen passes and jet sweeps. Wester is still on his rookie deal and could likely be acquired for a later-round pick, possibly even in 2028.
