Adonai Mitchell

NegativeRole9:28

Adonai Mitchell just posted a breakout week as WR3 in fantasy with 140 receiving yards and a touchdown, but Tyler Algier cautions against spending heavily on waivers because Mitchell is competing with Omar Cooper for the Jets WR2 role and will likely rotate with Cooper; Garrett Wilson remains the clear WR1 by target volume, so Mitchell's role is uncertain and depth-league dependent. Algier advises not to "rush to blow a bunch of fab" on Mitchell given the rotation risk.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveValue8:18

Tyler Algier names Antonio Williams the #1 WR waiver wire pickup of the week. Despite scoring only 10.5 fantasy points against Philadelphia, Williams generated consistent separation and commanded 26% of the Commanders' target share—profiling him close to a WR1. He posted 7 targets, 5 receptions, and 54 receiving yards. Algier notes Williams may have been overlooked in week 7 when Terry McLaurin went down because Washington was on bye, and projects Williams as "great for like a second flex spot" in better matchups ahead (week 11–12 vs. Cincinnati, Arizona).

Insight page

Bam Knight

NegativeInjury0:59

Got 'absolutely crunched' in Week 9, creating uncertainty for his availability going forward. His injury status is critical to Tyler Algier's volume ceiling; if Knight misses time alongside Jeremiah Love's ankle injury, Algier becomes a workhorse with top-24 RB upside.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveRole10:00

Garrett Wilson remains the clear WR1 for the Jets based on underlying target volume, despite Adonai Mitchell's recent breakout week; Tyler Algier expects Wilson to maintain his role as the primary receiver long-term.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveValue0:11

Priority IR pickup if dropped in shallow leagues. Showed superior usage to Zack Charbanet in Week 9 vs. Chicago: out-snapped and out-touched Charbanet, plus goal-line and two-minute drill usage. While Charbanet may ramp up from serious injury recovery and rookie first-rounder will expand role over time, Price has immediate league-winner upside if Charbanet suffers injury.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeInjury0:33

Cardinals third-round pick suffered ankle injury in Week 9 with initial reports of 2-3 week absence; Tyler Algier conservatively projects 3-4 weeks out based on previous ankle injury history. Injury removes him from backfield and opens volume for Tyler Algier and Bam Knight in committee situation.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveValue7:00

Tyler Algier ranks Kenny Gainwell third among three must-roster handcuff RBs (behind Kalin Black and Emit Johnson), noting he personally has a bid in for Gainwell. Algier cites Gainwell's receiving upside and recent strong performance, while acknowledging Bucky Irving's injury history as context for the handcuff value. Gainwell "looked really good this past week and we know he can be used as a receiver," making him a worthwhile waiver wire target despite being a backup. Algier believes all three handcuffs "need to be rostered in every single league."

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

PositiveValue0:35

Explosive Week 9 usage: 25 carries and 60% snap share vs. Ashton Genty's career-low 40% snaps and 2 carries. Received significant goal-line work. Tyler Algier highlights Washington as a very efficient running back averaging 4.3 yards per attempt, significantly outperforming Genty (3.1 YPA). Algier believes the coaching staff may have shifted to using Washington as the first and second-down back after four straight losses. At worst case, Washington is a premium handcuff where if Genty were to get injured, he could turn into an every-week starter. Best-case scenario is Washington remains the first and second-down back for the rest of the season.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

NegativeRole10:10

Omar Cooper is competing with Adonai Mitchell for the Jets WR2 role and the two are expected to rotate back and forth; Tyler Algier does not expect either to lock down the position long-term.

0:00All right, so in regular leagues,
0:01honestly, the Waverwire is fine this
0:03week. The problem is in deeper formats,
0:05there are some traps and honestly, it's
0:07just not that exciting overall. But
0:09starting off with the shallowest of
0:11leagues, if somehow someway Jadarian
0:14Price got dropped in your league when he
0:16went to the IR, for sure go out there
0:18and pick him up. I know whenever I made
0:19a small trade like sending Calum Black
0:21for him last week, comment section
0:23absolutely roasted me for it. But we
0:25just saw against the Chicago Bears on
0:28Monday night, Jadarian Price out snap,
0:30out touch, I mean, hell, get used at the
0:33goal line and get used in the two-minute
0:35drill. That his usage was much better
0:36than Zack Charbanet. Now, there's a good
0:38argument to be made that Zack Charmin is
0:40coming off a serious injury and he is
0:42going to continue to ramp himself up as
0:44the season goes on. But there's also a
0:46good argument to make that the rookie
0:48that they just took in round one of the
0:50NFL draft will also continue to expand
0:52his role as it goes on. So, most likely
0:54it's going to be a running back by
0:56committee, but if you were to see an
0:58injury to either Price or Charbanet, I
1:00think the other one potentially turns
1:02into a league winner. Now, going over to
1:04slightly deeper leagues, it is worth
1:07mentioning Tyler Alier. Now, I owe a lot
1:10of y'all an apology. I had actually
1:12nuked Tyler Algier in our rankings after
1:15last week. And the reason for that was
1:18the thesis that you had with Tyler
1:20Algier coming into the season isn't
1:22that, oh, we know he's a super talented
1:25player and the Cardinals are a super
1:27great offense, right? You didn't think
1:29that Alier was going to come in and see
1:3170% of this backfield when they drafted
1:33Jeremiah Love with the third pick
1:35overall. But you drafted Tyler Algier
1:37with the thought process of, oh, okay,
1:39he's a good running back. If Jeremiah
1:41Love goes down, Alier probably turns
1:44into a workhorse and may win you your
1:46league. And then what did we end up
1:48seeing? We saw Jeremiah Love go down,
1:51but the thesis broke because in those
1:54weeks with no Jeremiah Love, the snaps
1:56for Alier did not rise in the slightest.
1:59Bam Knight actually just slid into the
2:01Jeremiah Love role and Tyler Algier
2:04stayed in his own role and it remained a
2:06committee. But what we had happen this
2:08past week was first Jeremiah Love
2:11injured his ankle again. The initial
2:13reports are saying that he is going to
2:15be out two to three weeks based on his
2:17previous ankle injuries. I know this
2:19isn't the same one but still I would
2:21maybe be a little bit more conservative
2:23and say three to four. And on top of
2:25this, Bam Knight got absolutely
2:28crunched this past week. So what that
2:31led to is Tyler Algier in a great match
2:33up against the Dallas Cowboys where
2:34everybody looks good being the number
2:36one running back in fantasy seeing 36
2:39fantasy points. Now I'll be honest, just
2:42early look ahead lines. I know I talked
2:44about this in the live stream last
2:45night, but right now just pulling up the
2:47Poly Market app, the Arizona Cardinals
2:50only have a 16% chance of beating the
2:52Seattle Seahawks next week. The spread
2:55on this game is 10 and a half. It's
2:56going to be a nasty, nasty matchup. Of
2:59course, if you want to check out any of
3:00those markets, you can find the link to
3:02the Poly Market app in the description
3:04comment section. Code Flock gets you set
3:06up with $25 after you deposit your first
3:0810. While this week may be a disgusting
3:10matchup, if Bam Knight is going to miss
3:13and on top of this, obviously you have
3:15no Jeremiah Love, Tyler Algier is just
3:18going to see a ton of volume. So Alzier
3:21definitely needs to be rostered in every
3:23single league and very easily could be a
3:25top 24 running back this week dependent
3:27on again if we end up in a scenario in
3:30which you don't have Bam Knight or
3:33Jeremiah Love playing. Now moving over
3:35to Mike Washington. Mike Washington is
3:37one of the toughest players to evaluate
3:40going into the future because you really
3:43have to take a long look at this Raiders
3:47backfield and try to figure out what the
3:50hell just happened. In a game in which
3:52Genty wasn't really on the injury
3:54report, it's not like Genty was a game
3:55time decision and you were worried he
3:57was going to miss here. No, everybody
3:58thought Genty was a-okay just fine for
4:00it. Genty's usage fell to a careerlow
4:0440% of the snaps and Ash and Genty saw
4:07two total carries. On the flip side of
4:09this, Mike Washington had 25 carries.
4:14Yes, 25 carries and played 60% of the
4:18snaps. Now, I was going against Ashen
4:21Genty this past week. So, I mean, it was
4:23the best thing ever for me. Like Mike
4:26Washington getting a ton of goal line
4:28usage. Every time he was on the field, I
4:30was praying that he scored a touchdown.
4:32And the problem that we had with Mike
4:34Washington was he looked really bad. I
4:38mean, I was rooting for him. I was
4:40hoping he scored a touchdown so Genty
4:42didn't have a chance for it. And every
4:44single time he would just run straight
4:46into the back of his offensive lineman.
4:49So, I would be shocked if this was the
4:52split going into the future. I would be
4:54shocked if they said, "You know what?
4:57Yeah, let's run it where Mike Washington
4:59is our first and second down running
5:01back and Ashen Genty is our third down
5:04back. I don't think that's going to be
5:06the case. I know there are some theories
5:08that Ashen Genty got punished talking
5:11trash before the game to the New York
5:12Jets saying they don't tackle it
5:14becoming a media thing yada yada. I I
5:16don't think that matters as much. What I
5:18think it probably is is obviously
5:21Genti's been dealing with this ankle
5:22injury all year. If you look at the
5:24underlying efficiency, Ashen Genty had
5:27been a very inefficient running back.
5:29Ashen Genty has averaged 3.1 yards per
5:33attempt so far this season. I mean, from
5:35a per carry perspective, he's one of the
5:37least efficient running backs in the
5:39entire league. I mean, Ellie has one
5:41rushing touchdown on 108 carries. Mike
5:44Washington on the opposite end of this
5:46had been a very efficient running back
5:49averaging 4.3 yards per attempt. So,
5:52what my best guess of this backfield was
5:55is this coaching staff went, "Damn, we
5:57just lost four games straight. Genty
6:00looks like he's running through mud on
6:02first and second downs, and Mike
6:04Washington's giving us some efficiency.
6:06Why don't we try something new? Why
6:08don't we try using Mike Washington as
6:10our first and second down back and try
6:12using Genty as a third down back?"
6:14Because really, all he's doing is
6:16providing receiving usage for us. It
6:18failed. It didn't really work. So I
6:21would guess that they are going to go
6:23back to Genty. But nonetheless, we know
6:26Mike Washington Jr. at the worst case at
6:29the absolute worst case is a premium
6:31handcuff where if Genty were to get
6:33injured, then Washington could turn into
6:36an every week starter. And who knows,
6:38best case scenario is this is the setup
6:42going into the future or rest of season,
6:44Washington is that first and second down
6:46running back and Genti is just getting
6:48used on third downs. Now, I want to talk
6:50about three handcuffed running backs
6:53quickly and then we can move on. They're
6:55all in a similar boat and I think they
6:57should all probably be rostered in every
6:59league. And I'll be honest, I personally
7:01have a bid in for one and that is Kenny
7:04Gainwell. But Kenny Gainwell, Emit
7:06Johnson, and Kalin Black need to be
7:09rostered in every single league here. If
7:11I had to rank these guys, I would go
7:14Black number one, Emit Johnson number
7:17two, and then Gainwell number three. The
7:20reason for that is with Kalon Black, you
7:22had the Christian McCaffrey injury with
7:24the hamstring before the Niners went
7:27into the buy. Now, how it sounds is it
7:30sounds like McCaffrey is supposed to be
7:32a-okay coming out of the by-week, but
7:34maybe, just maybe, that ends up not
7:36being true. Then after Black, I would
7:39put Emit Johnson because what we have
7:41seen is Imit Johnson is a phenomenal
7:44receiving back. He has juice, he has
7:47size, and we also obviously have the
7:49injury history when it comes to Kenneth
7:51Walker. And then lastly, I would put
7:54Kenny Gainwell where Bucky Irving very
7:56similar to Kenneth Walker does have an
7:59injury history. This Bucks offense looks
8:01like they can run the damn ball. And
8:03Gainwell looked really good this past
8:05week and we know he can be used as a
8:06receiver. So those three running backs,
8:08you'd never start them outside of an
8:10injury to the guy in front, but based on
8:12the upside they represent at this point,
8:14I do think they should be rostered in
8:15every league. Now moving over to Antonio
8:18Williams. I think Antonio Williams is
8:20the number one wide receiver waiverwire
8:23pickup on the week. There is a good
8:25chance that he wasn't picked up in week
8:27seven even though Terry McLaren went
8:29down for the season because the
8:31Commanders were on by, right? So maybe
8:33your league mates just they went to
8:35ESPN, they went to Yahoo, they sorted by
8:38projected points for the week. Obviously
8:40a player on buy is not showing up. But
8:43Antonio Williams had a great week
8:45against the Philadelphia Eagles. He only
8:47scored 10 and a half fantasy points. But
8:49more importantly, like just watching the
8:51game, he was consistently generating
8:54separation. And on top of this, he had
8:57almost 26%
8:59of his team's target share, which does
9:02profile him pretty damn close to a wide
9:04receiver one. He looked damn good. He
9:07had seven targets, five receptions, 54
9:09receiving yards. It was clearly a game
9:11in which the Commanders didn't have to
9:14throw the ball just because they were
9:15going up against the Sari Eagles. But we
9:18will get better matchups for Antonio
9:21Williams in the future. Like maybe in
9:23week 11, maybe in week 12 when he's in a
9:26shootout setup against the Cincinnati
9:28Bengals or when he gets to play against
9:30a bad defense like the Arizona
9:32Cardinals, Antonio Williams could be
9:34great for like a second flex spot. Now,
9:36I want to move over to Adenai Mitchell
9:38and just talk about this because clearly
9:41Adenai Mitchell just went nuclear this
9:44past week. He was the wide receiver
9:45three in fantasy. He looked great with
9:48some pretty big sideline grabs and L. He
9:51had 140 receiving yards and the
9:52receiving touchdown. I don't know if you
9:54should rush to blow a bunch of fab on
9:57Adonai. For me personally, I'm not going
10:00to do so in my league. I I don't really
10:02have much interest. And the reason for
10:04that is I think Garrett Wilson, if you
10:06look at the underlying target volume, is
10:08still going to be the wide receiver one
10:10here for the long run. And Adidai
10:12Mitchell as well as Omar Cooper, I
10:15wouldn't be surprised if they just kind
10:16of go back and forth, back and forth,
10:18back and forth on who the New York Jets
10:20wide receiver 2 is. So if you're in a
10:22deeper league and he's a free pickup, by
10:25all means, pick him up, stash him. He's
10:27a 24 year old player that had an
10:29intriguing prospect profile coming out
10:31of the University of Texas. But again,
10:33I'm not going to be overly optimistic
10:34because I think he's fighting with Omar
10:36Cooper to be the wide receiver too here
10:38for Gino Smith in the New York Jets.
10:40Now, going to some streaming defenses.
10:43One thing that I want to point out for
10:45y'all, um, typically, obviously, we go
10:47through and look at the market numbers,
10:49try to identify defenses that are going
10:51to be going up against offenses that
10:53project to score the fewest amount of
10:54points in the league. But a defense
10:57that's going to be a little bit buried
10:58that there is a good chance they are on
11:01your waiverwire will be the Houston
11:03Texans. Now, comment section in the
11:05Flock League was clowning on me for
11:07rostering the Texans through their
11:09by-week, but let me just explain why
11:12quickly. This is the main reason I
11:16actually went very aggressive on picking
11:18up the Houston Texans um last week
11:21against JJ McCarthy. Obviously, that did
11:24not work out, but I was looking to their
11:26upcoming schedule after the buy. I think
11:28the Texans are the best defense on
11:30waiverss because they get the Los
11:31Angeles Chargers this week who have
11:33allowed the most points to opposing
11:36DSTs. Then after they get to play the
11:39sorry ass Chargers, they get to play
11:41against the Cleveland Browns. Then after
11:43they play against the Cleveland Browns,
11:45they get to play against a tanking
11:47Indianapolis Colts team. And then after
11:49they play against the tanking
11:51Indianapolis Colts team, they get to
11:53play against the Baltimore Ravens with
11:55no Lamar Jackson. And we don't even know
11:57if Tyler Huntley will be back by then.
11:59So the Texans over the next month have
12:02top five matchups every single week. If
12:06you're operating with the fab budget, I
12:08would be very aggressive going after
12:10them if they're on your waiverwire
12:12because again, you would be in a setup
12:14in which you don't have to then play the
12:16streaming defense game the next week or
12:18the next week or the next week. You got
12:20these guys for four straight weeks here.
12:22Then if you are just looking at some of
12:24the top defenses in terms of market
12:26projections, obviously Seattle is going
12:29to be great. We already know that the
12:31Jacksonville Jaguars is will probably be
12:34the number one DST ranked on the week
12:37because they are getting to go up
12:38against the Baltimore Ravens with no
12:40quarterback. But with that in mind, the
12:43Jags are already rostered in like every
12:44league. The Kansas City Chiefs defense
12:47will be very interesting because they
12:48are getting to go up against the New
12:51York Jets. And with them going up
12:53against the Jets, obviously they are
12:55going to be massive favorites. I would
12:57say the New York Giants defense will be
12:59interesting coming out of the buy going
13:01to Philly to play against the Eagles who
13:03obviously have no quarterback and
13:05probably will still be missing Dvont
13:06Smith. We already talked about the
13:08Texans. The New Orleans Saints are the
13:10team that get to play against the
13:12Cleveland Browns this week. The Saints
13:13have a garbage defense, but Deshun
13:16Watson leads the NFL in sacks. Then you
13:19have Chicago who's looking pretty damn
13:21good against Tampa. You have a Denver
13:24who's should be already rostered against
13:25Carolina. And then if you got desperate,
13:28desperate, desperate, you could go ahead
13:30and pick up I'm not even gonna say it. I
13:32was going to say you could pick up the
13:33Detroit Lions defense playing against
13:35the Miami Dolphins. I just played the
13:37Patriots defense myself against Miami as
13:40a streamer. Patriots came away with five
13:43sacks and an interception. So obviously
13:45it's a great matchup, but the Detroit
13:47Lions defense sucks. But I really
13:49appreciate you. I hope that you had a
13:51great week. I mean, I am so damn happy
13:54to now be fighting for that second spot
13:57in my league standings. Five and three.
14:00We won four games straight. And we're
14:02looking to make that to five straight
14:04games and earn a buy for the third
14:07straight season, finishing as a top two
14:09team, which mathematically speaking
14:12shouldn't be possible. I am so freaking
14:13happy. But much love, ladies and
14:16gentlemen. I really appreciate you and I
14:17hope I get to see you out in the live
14:18stream later
