0:00It's time to lock in. Get ready to take some notes because not only am I going to give you my top 42 running back
0:05rankings, but I'm also going to talk about where you should be drafting these guys and why. Starting off with our 42,
0:12Chris Rodriguez. Rodriguez has never been a productive fantasy running back and he's about to be 27 years old. And we throw in the fact that this dude
0:21coming off of foot surgery that held him out of OTAAS. We don't really have a ton of official word on what this actually
0:28is. And the most likely outcome is he's back sometime later this month, but we don't fully know. So, you would see all
0:36of that and go, "Okay, this this guy's not interesting." I mean, his careerhigh receiving yards per game is 2.3. So, no
0:43receiving upside here whatsoever. Again, his highest finish ever was RB50 this past year in a Washington backfield where Jacori Crosky Merritt was his main
0:52competition. And he's about to be 27 years old. So, you may ask, where's the upside? Why the hell would we even rank
1:00this guy at all? Well, he's going to a Liam Cohen offense that just prints running back points, right? You go back
1:07to 2024, Bucky Irving. You go back this past year to Travis ETN, who was like a round eight pick and turned out to be
1:14one of the only late round running backs that hit. And we look at the contract that was given to Chris Rodriguez. 6.2 2
1:23million guaranteed at signing up to like $10 million. Now, we compare this to other running backs we'll discuss in this video like Rashad White. Really
1:32good money. And at the same time, we go over and look at Bashel Tutin. We'll talk about later, he really hasn't
1:38proven anything at the NFL level. And he was a a round four NFL draft pick. So, all this shakes up to Rodriguez
1:45potentially being put in a really good spot this year. But it is tough to trust him because again he's a 27-year-old
1:52running back where we've never seen the fantasy production. No receiving upside coming off a foot injury as well. Now Jordan Mason almost in a similar boat
2:01here at 41. Like we really haven't seen Jordan Mason be a productive running back through an entire season stretch before. Like we can go through and look
2:10at the best year of his NFL career. 9.5 fantasy points per game where he was the running back 35. He averaged 12.8
2:19carries, very similar to Rodriguez, no real receiving upside where he averaged 7 and a half receiving yards per game in his best season ever. And obviously the
2:30hope that you have with Jordan Mason is he can go back to what he was at the beginning of 2024 when you had no CMC
2:38because he did give you two games with over 20 fantasy points. Another game with over 17. We can go back and look at
2:44the usage during that stretch before he gets injured himself and then kind of gets benched near the end of this San
2:50Francisco season. But you actually had Jordan Mason 82% of snaps, 81% of snaps, 75% of snaps, 76% of snaps. But outside
2:59of that four game stretch, this dude's never done anything of relevance in fantasy football. Last year, this entire Vikings offense tanked with JJ McCarthy.
3:10But similar to Rodriguez, we can sit here and list a thousand reasons why we may believe that Jordan Mason isn't a
3:18super talented running back. We may believe that Jordan Mason is somebody that you can't really trust. And then we go back and look at the depth chart of
3:26this Vikings team where it's just Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones. We look at the fact that Jordan Mason um signed a deal
3:34last year that gave him 7.2 million guaranteed at signing. I mean a 12 million maximum value on this contract.
3:42He's still on the team. It's going to be a better offense this year. Again, no competition. So these two running backs
3:48are very very similar. Now moving over to Jaory Kroski Merritt. So JCM was an industry plant last year. We all understand that, right? I don't exactly
3:59know why the hype was there. I was able to select him in the last round of the Flock League. I then proceeded to trade
4:06him for Tony Pard. Austin Eckler to his Achilles right after. I thought I had lost the deal, but honestly, I mean,
4:12hell, I I'm fine with how that trade turned out because Jakori Kroski Merritt had this stretch of games weeks six through 14 where he did not manage to
4:21crack six fantasy points. He had no competition whatsoever last season. He played 39% of the snaps. And we can make an argument, oh well, Mason, come on,
4:31man. He was a rookie. Yeah, but he was a 24 year old rookie. He's already 25 years old at this point. He himself
4:37hasn't really demonstrated the ability to have any receiving upside. I'm going to assume that's actually going to go to Rashad White. But now that he's going
4:45into year two, we can at least try to make an argument. We can use the range of outcomes tool on flockfantasy.com.
4:51Look for similar rookie seasons. And you'll see that Isaiah Pacheco or Madre Stevenson had similar rookie years and in year two both of them averaged over
4:5814 points per game. And the offense in Washington should be much better this year than it was last. Now, Aaron Jones
5:05going to be in this same Minnesota Vikings backfield that we just talked about with Jordan Mason. Aaron Jones, it is difficult to assume that at 32 years
5:14old this next season, which he will turn near the end of it, he is going to be a better running back than he was at 31.
5:21We can use the range of outcomes tool on flockfantasy.com. Look at some similar historical comps like Marshon Lynch, Matt Forte, Steven Jackson, Lair Bunt,
5:29Lean McCoy, right? like very good running backs. And see, there was only one running back that got better from 31 to 32. Actually, there were two, Marshon
5:37Lynch and Fred Jackson. But Fred Jackson's really the only guy that made a difference. Now, if we're looking at the numbers that he gave you last year,
5:45though, he did play 59% of snaps. He very clearly was the receiving running back in this Minnesota Vikings backfield as well. And the competition is really
5:55non-existent. The reason I'm going to put Aaron Jones ahead of Jordan Mason is I mean he at least has a path to the
6:04receiving role, especially in your PPR formats, in your half PPR formats that Mason's not going to. Now, how I would attack these guys in drafts, I'm sure
6:13y'all see me live streaming every single nights um in those underdog best drafts, which there it's going to be a little
6:18bit different than your regular ESPN draft, right? Because the pain is if you draft like Aaron Jones in your ESPN reddraft league, how are you going to
6:27know when you're supposed to start them?
6:30At least in your like underdog basketball drafts, they are going at a reasonable enough price point that like let me see where they went in the draft
6:38that we did last night because you can take both of these guys at like the 910 turn and then just lock in all the
6:45running back backfield touches for the Minnesota Vikings. relatively good offense when it comes to projections.
6:52So, I'm fine in like underdog basketball drafts to double tap these running backs here on the turn. I'll show y'all where
6:59their cost is. This is a draft we did last night. It was a $100 draft. Um, and in this, we ended up seeing Aaron Jones
7:05go at 117 and Jordan Mason go at 118.
7:08So, sometimes you can get them at the end of the 10th, the beginning of the 11th, which again in underdog basketball
7:15drafts, I'm fine with that. I wouldn't take both running backs on your ESPN team. I would just take one and then
7:20hope that they do something and then if they don't, you can maybe cut them halfway through the year. Now, Jonathan Brooks is a running back. We can't pull
7:26up any numbers with historically, right?
7:29Because he didn't play in 25. I mean, even if we go back to 24, oh, we got what uh this stretch
7:37where he scored a total of uh what is this? If I can do math, seven and a half fantasy points, right? We go back and
7:44look at that 2024 season. This man had two carries in week 12, six carries in week 13, one carry in week 14 for
7:55negative3 rushing yards, and then he retorles.
8:00Of course, hookum horns, y'all know I want to root for my guy. But the fact of the matter with Brooks is we have never
8:05seen anything at the NFL level. He has had two torn ACLs over the past three seasons. And over the past three years, he has like a
8:15combined nine total carries. So even if he was a really good running back at the University of Texas back in 2023, that
8:23is so long ago at this point where two ACL tears later, we don't know if he's the same player. Hell, I mean, if just I
8:31tore my ACL twice, I can almost guarantee you I'm not going to be able to go and run the same amount of miles
8:36that I'm going to do right after this video. So I don't know if he's the same athlete. All reports coming out of camp
8:42right now are hyping him up. They lose Rico Dattle and they don't bring anybody else into backfield. So that maybe is
8:48some positive signal that this team believes in Jonathan Brooks's ability.
8:54And a lot of people are now saying that you should take him ahead of Chuba Hubard, which I think is crazy. Like if
8:59you look at where he's currently going in drafts, I mean he is going at like 102. And this draft we did last night
9:06for a hundred bucks. Jonathan Brooks went right before like Kyle Pittz, Michael Pitman. Hell, he went before Rashad White, who we'll talk about in
9:14one second. Now, Kenneth Gainwell, our next running back. I actually had Gainwell in the Flock League and I was starting him in the flex spot last year,
9:21even though we did not have that injury to Jaylen Warren. Look at how dominant this dude was in a full PPR format.
9:28We're in week 11, 29 and a half fantasy points. Week 12, 18.2. Like if we go through and look at this, he averaged
9:35five targets a game, 4.3 receptions per game. And a lot of this was just in the back half of the season. The other thing
9:42that's going to be an interesting note with Kenneth Gainwell specifically is the contract that this Bucks team ended up giving him because they lost Rashad
9:52White over the offseason. Rashad White went to Washington for about $1.5 million. So you'd assume that it would have been pretty cheap for them to keep
10:00White if they wanted him. However, they decided to pay Gainwell 14 million with 9.8 million guaranteed at signing. On
10:11top of this, we have Bucky Irving not 100% he had to go through and get the shoulder surgery this off season when
10:17with the quotes coming out of Tampa that he's going to be back at some point this summer or fall. So, with all that in
10:24mind, Gainwell in a full PPR format is going to be more exciting than he would be in a half PPR nonPPR league. And I
10:32think he could be startable even without a Bucky injury. But if Bucky Irving were to go down, then Gabe Will's probably
10:38going to be a top 24 running back in my rankings every week. But before we go over to our next tier, I want to make
10:44sure you understand where you are drafting running backs in your overall rankings will be highly dependent on your exact league settings. If you're
10:51playing in a league where you start three wide receivers and two flexes, that's a full PPR format. Running backs will be worth a little bit less there.
10:57If you're playing in a 10 team league where you only start two wide receivers and one flex, running backs are going to
11:01be worth a little bit more there. If you don't exactly know how to change due to your exact league settings, don't worry.
11:08We are going to have all of that covered for you with the flockfantasy.com season pass. For only 34 bucks, not only you
11:14going to get custom draft sheets for your exact platform, for your exact league settings, you're going to get real time draft assistance to help you
11:21through your ESPN, Yahoo, and Sleeper drafts. And not only you're going to get all the tool access from myself, but also from pretty much all the creators
11:29that you watch on YouTube already. And if you use code flock when you sign up, you are also going to be getting free
11:35start sit and trade questions that you're able to ask me during the season.
11:38The link's in the description. It's in the comment section. We've worked on flockfantasy.com for years and years and years. It's the best product in the
11:46space and it's only $34 at the same time. Now, Rashad White's going to be a tier above all these other players
11:52because a couple different things work in the favor of Rashad White. One, we have seen the top in fantasy production before. Rashad White was the running
12:00back 10 in 2023, averaging 15.76 fantasy points per game. He had 16 carries a game. He had 4.1 targets per game. So, over 20 opportunities a game
12:11for Rashad White in a season previous.
12:13And on top of this with Rashad White specifically focusing in on that receiving upside, he's averaged 32 receiving yards a game whereas his
12:21backfield counterpart with Jakori Kroski Merritt isn't going to be the receiving back here in Washington. So we already have a pretty safe role for Rashad
12:30White. And at the same time, you could see additional value if he maybe just wins the goal line role over Jaori
12:37Kroski Merritt straight up or maybe we get a Jakori Kroski Merritt injury and Rashad White turns out to have 65 70% of
12:44this backfield which in that case in a highval offense he's going to be a top 24 running back for me. Now, I hate to
12:51keep bringing contracts up here, but I do think it's worth pointing out with these guys that signed this off seasonason. And the only thing that's
12:57holding me back from immediately ranking Rashad White as like a borderline top 24 RB and just assuming straight up that this guy is 100% the starter in
13:08Washington is going to be he got paid nothing to go to Washington this year. I mean, $2 million for his average salary,
13:161.7 million guaranteed. Again, this is a fraction of what Gainwell got paid to go over to Tampa. So, that does scare me a
13:24bit. Maybe you want to um give him the benefit of the doubt and say, "Oh, he took uh team friendly deal because he
13:32wanted to play with his old college teammate Jaden Daniels." I find that unlikely to believe. I mean, if I was a
13:38running back in his scenario, I'm taking whoever gives me the most amount of dollars because I know my career short.
13:44Now, moving over to JK Dobbins. Um, Dobbins I have not drafted much of, but he has started falling as of late. If
13:51you look at where he is going off the board in drafts that we are doing nightly at this point. Um, he goes in
13:57about the same round of RJ Harvey. So, I don't draft him much. Like here, he wouldn't pick 94. RJ Harvey goes to 88.
14:04We'll take talk about R.J. Harvey in just one second. My issue with Dobbins is twofold. One, he is getting squeezed from both ends for touches. you have not
14:14only RJ Harvey but also Jonah Coleman.
14:17So I look at this Denver Broncos offense and I go, you know what, even if we were to get an RJ Harvey injury or even if we
14:24were to get an injury to Jonah Coleman, since there are three backs here, it's almost going to be a committee no matter
14:30what. The other thing with Dobbins is we know that he has a lack of ceiling when it comes to the receiving upside. Last
14:37year in Denver, he averaged 1.4 4 targets per game and 3.7 receiving yards per contest. If we go through and look
14:44at the spike week potential for Dobbins, like I know a lot of people view Dobbins as some really good running back last
14:51season before he got hurt, but he didn't have a single game with over 15 fantasy points. He was consistent, don't get me
14:57wrong, but it was like, okay, cool. If he scores a touchdown, he's going to give you 15 points. If he doesn't score
15:02a touchdown, he's going to give you nine points. Not super encouraging. Now, he's coming off an injury season and he's going to be 28 years old this next year.
15:14So, if we go through and look at the amount of games that he has played through his NFL career, right? 2020 he
15:20plays 15 games. That's his rookie season. He has six yards per attempt.
15:24Looks like one of the most electric young running backs in the NFL. Looks like he's going to be dominant. 2021, before the season starts, he's out for
15:31the year. 2022, he plays eight games.
15:342023, oh I I believe this is the year he popped the Achilles. He played one game.
15:392024 he played 13 games. 2025 he played 10 games. So after his rookie season from 2021 through 2025, he is averaging
15:48fewer than 10 games per season. Like this guy's if you had to bet on somebody getting injured throughout the year, which I hate doing, I don't want to do,
15:57it's probably JK Dobbins. And at the same time, you don't have a really high ceiling when it comes to the receiving
16:02stuff. you're in a committee with two other backs, the only saving grace is one, he gets a good contract this off
16:08seasonason, and two, the Denver Broncos have a great offensive line and I think that they're going to be a really good
16:14team this year. Now, Blake Cororm, we talked about in the running back video of guys that I am just simply not
16:21drafting because Blake Corm at the time we recorded that video is going neck-and-neck with Patrick Mahomes.
16:27However, he has fallen a bit when it comes to his ADP in drafts at the moment, which I do like to see. And I've
16:33actually found myself drafting him slightly more. I think you have to view Blake Cororm in two different lights, right? You have your regular ESPN
16:39reddraft light where I want to be on the record and your ESPN reddraft league.
16:45You are never starting this dude outside of a Kairen Williams injury, right? Like these other players, Rashad White, I think you could start even if we don't
16:53get Jakory Crossit injured. I mean, hell, Aaron Jones, I think you could possibly start even if Jordan Mason doesn't go down. Chris Rodriguez. I
17:01mean, I think you could potentially start even if Bashel Tutin doesn't get injured like all these other players have some standalone appeal in your
17:07reaff. I don't know if Blake Cororm does. I I don't think you're going to be able to consistently rely upon him in
17:13games in which Kron Williams plays as we can go through and look his best season ever this past year, RB 49 in points per
17:19game and his best season of his NFL career, he was averaging three receiving yards per contest, right? So, he is really going to be a touchdown or bus
17:27secondary running back in his own offense. But with all that being said, based on how good the Rams are, knowing that they project to score the most
17:37amount of points in the league this year, just like they did last, and the fact that Blake Corm's been an efficient running back when he's touched
17:44the ball, if Kairen were to get injured, I think Blake Cororm probably has the most upside of any traditional handcuff running back in fantasy. And for that
17:53reason, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt here at 34. Again, if you're in a baseball draft, potentially
18:01you are going to see um a few random usable weeks if he scores a touchdown or not. But in your regular ESPN league, he's just the most
18:08premium handcuff that you can have. At least with Kyle Manungai, I would say that the ceilings may be lower than what
18:15you have with Blake Corora. Nothing against Kyle Manungai himself. I just think that ultimately the Chicago Bears offense won't be as good as the Los
18:23Angeles Rams offense.
18:26However, there is a world in which Kyle Manungai does beat out DeAndre Swift. I I don't think it's likely Kyle Manungai
18:33was a bad prospect coming into the NFL.
18:35While he looked good in the game in which you had no Swift, right? He played 73% of the snaps, 22.8 eight fantasy
18:43points. He had five targets, 26 carries, so 31 total opportunities. The entire Chicago offense was funneled through him. DeAndre Swift most likely is the
18:52better running back. And I think he's probably going to be in a scenario like Blake Cororm where you wouldn't be able
18:57to start him outside of a DeAndre Swift injury, but at least he has a 5% chance of beating out Swift, a 10%, 15%, 20%,
19:06whatever you want to put that at, where I think Blake Corb's odds of beating out Kirn are going to be lower. Now, Rico
19:11Dattle has a decent shot at actually beating out Jaylen Warren this year. Let me pull up the Rico Dattle contract for
19:18y'all so we can cross reference that with what we've seen with these other free agent running backs given the fact that he just signed. Rico Dattle gets 5
19:26million guaranteed at signing. Um, he has a potential to earn up to like 12.3 million. Um, if we go through and look
19:35at the excitement surrounding DAL, it all hinges on this stretch of games that we had the Chuba Hubard injury, right?
19:41Because Chuba goes down. Dattle immediately in those contests is the RB1 in fantasy against the Miami Dolphins where he has 23 carries, 206 rushing
19:52yards, four targets, three receptions, 28 receiving yards, and he drops 32 fantasy points. And then the following week against the Dallas Cowboys, he
20:02drops 34 points, 30 carries, 183 rushing yards. I mean, 56 receiving yards. So, back-to-back games where he's averaging like 250 yards from scrimmage per
20:14contest. Then we have Chuba Hubard coming back. Da falls to only playing 45% 36% of snaps. They don't have the same results offensively that they did
20:24with Hubard. So then they go right back to Rico Dattle in weeks 9 through 12 where he has 72, 79, 82, and 65% of the
20:32snaps, but he can't really grab the same um electricity that he had against the Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys rush attacks. So it is interesting to see
20:44that he had the biggest peak in all of fantasy football last year where he looked like he was legitimately going to
20:51be a league winner from the waiverwire.
20:53But we do have a large sample now of Dowel maybe not being the most [sighs] talented running back in the league. I
21:01think he's good, but I mean he is 28 years old and the most points per game we've ever seen him average is 20 and a
21:09half, right? Like he's been in the league since 2020. So it's not like we saw those massive flashes from a 22-year-old running back last year and
21:17we can just go, "Oh, imagine if he gets the opportunity." He's been on multiple NFL teams and none of them have given an
21:23opportunity up to date. Now, RJ Harvey was a running back that I thought I was going to be all in on this year because
21:30everybody in the fantasy football community hates him. Like before the NFL draft, I was looking at people already drafting teams thinking, "Whoa, that's a
21:38little crazy." But RJ Harvey was falling to being like a running back three. And I'm looking at it going, "Hell, this was
21:43a rookie running back that had a game with 19.8, 24.1, 16.6, 6 21 22 22 18.6 fantasy points. Like his rookie season
21:54historically comps to guys like DeAndre Swift, Rashad White, Marlon Mack, Tariq Cohen, James Cook. We had a decent amount of these guys coming out and
22:02averaging 13 plus points per game the following season. I know a lot of film people didn't really love R.J. Harvey. I
22:09mean, I understand that. But I thought I was just going to go through and say, "What if he continues to get better in
22:15his second season of the league?" blah blah blah. Then we actually have Jonah Coleman signing to the Denver Broncos and everything changes for me because
22:24the upside case that you had with RJ Harvey previously was JK Dobbins arguably one of the most injuryprone running backs in the league. If you were
22:32to have gone down and you had no Jonah Coleman, R.J. Harvey would go back to seeing a three- down workload behind one
22:37of the league's best offensive lines.
22:40But now that you actually have the backup plan if Dobbins were to go down, I think the ceiling is just going to be
22:47a little bit more capp for Harvey. Don't get me wrong, I mean, I'm seeing them right now in these drafts. Again, this
22:52is a $100 draft we did yesterday. Um, go in the same round as JK Dobbins. So, for me, I'm definitely taking RJ Arvey over
22:59JK Dobbins if they're going in the same round. No question. But um it's tougher for me to push all my chips in the
23:07middle like we were planning on doing before the Jonah Coleman pick. Now Tony Pard is our next back. I actually traded
23:12Jory Cross Merritt for Tony Pard um right before the Austin Eckler Aquilus tear in the flock league last year and I
23:20thought I was going to make out like a bandit because if you look at Pard early in the season, the utilization was
23:26insane. 88% of the snaps week one, 89% of the snaps week two, 91% week three, 86% week four, 71% week five. Now, what
23:37ends up happening, Taji Spears comes in and we see that snap rate actually plummet down to where he's seeing 55 60%
23:45of the snaps on average. Like, let me actually pull this up on flockfantasy.com real quick, the player comparison, and we can view Pard versus
23:54Spears in terms of the games that Pard played with and [snorts] without Spears this past year. And let's actually do it
24:00over the past two seasons here, right?
24:02So, let's go through and let's look at the 2024 2025 splits with Taji Spears and the 2024 2025 splits without Spears.
24:12So, in the games he's played without Taji Spears, he has averaged 19.78 carries per game. That's good for the number three mark in the NFL during that
24:22period. He's averaged 80 rushing yards per game. That's good for the number six mark in the NFL during that period. 93
24:29total yards per contest. And of course, all of this comes crashing down when you have Spears added to this backfield.
24:38But with that in mind, Pard's best games from a point scored perspective last season were actually at the end of the
24:44year when you add Spears in. And what that came down to was just the Tennessee Titans offense scoring more points. So
24:51while the utilization went down as the year progressed, the efficiency went up once Cam Ward started playing better.
24:59And if we pull up the Vegas projections on flockfantasy.com real quick, you will see that the Tennessee Titans actually project to be the second most improved
25:10offense year-over-year, only behind the Raiders in terms of improvement. So, I think the offense will be better. I don't think he's going to see the same
25:18level workload that he had at the beginning of last season with no Spears.
25:22But as long as the offense is much better than it was, he can still very easily be a running back that gives you
25:27usable weeks, I think he's honestly probably a more exciting pick for like best baseball leagues where you just know you're going to get guaranteed
25:34touches and your ESPN reddraft format. I think he possibly has a cap ceiling.
25:39Very similar to Raadre Stevenson. I mean, with Raadre, the favorite stat that I always go back to is he has one
25:47game in his NFL career with 28 or more fantasy points, right? one single game in his career with 28 or more points and
25:55he is now going into his sixth NFL season and he's already 28 and a half years old. If we go through and look at
26:00what Trevon did in his rookie year, Trevon had three games with over 28 fantasy points. If we look at how these
26:08running backs graded out as prospects, Trevon Henderson was a much better prospect at the same time. But with all that being said, when the season
26:18mattered most last year, who was on the field, who was on the bench in the NFL playoffs where Stevenson was on the
26:25field, Trevon Henderson was on the bench. I'm going to assume that the young talented running back in Trevian Henderson is going to expand his role
26:34going into year two. But that assumption could very easily be wrong. There is a possibility that this coaching staff just trusts Reandre Stevenson more and
26:44he's the guy that ends up being the starter for a New England Patriots offense that now has AJ Brown. Now Jaylen Warren will be our next back.
26:51Jaylen Warren pretty damn good year last year. Like I actually drafted him I think in round nine of the Flock League.
26:57I was obviously super happy with it. He ended up finishing as the running back 19 13 and a half points per game. A big
27:05issue that we had with Ward was the drop off with the target volume. He went from 4.4 targets per game back in 23 down to
27:132.8 targets per game this past season.
27:15And Rico Dael isn't the same level receiving back that you add with Kenneth Gainwell. So, what I would expect is I
27:21would expect that his market share numbers go up on the receiving end, but they probably go down on the rushing end
27:29because he's been very rangebound when it comes to just the amount of snaps that this coaching staff, which I know it's a different coaching staff, but
27:35still, this team's allowed him to have over the past three years. Anywhere from 45% or 50% of the snaps from a per game
27:42perspective is what we're looking at. I would expect his receiving volume to go up this season. his rushing production to go down. But who knows when there is
27:52a change with the coaching staff, when there's a change in the overall depth chart, it is in the range of outcomes
27:57that Rico Dattle just straight up plays over them. And it's also in the range of outcomes that you maybe have Jaylen
28:04Warren with a massive breakout. We don't know yet. Now, as y'all can tell with these rankings, I am not buying into the
28:10conversation people are having on Twitter of putting Jonathan Brooks ahead of Chuba Hubard. with Hubard. We've seen the ceiling before. Of course, he got
28:19injured this past season. And of course, we had Rico Dattle looking like the lead back and Rico Dattle really strong in
28:26that role as well. But if we go through and look at what we had just two years ago before the injury, 16.1
28:34fantasy points per game in 2024. He was the running back 13. If y'all remember, this was the season I made an absolute
28:44mockery of myself. I just put on the clown paint. I went through and I did a little circus for y'all where I was
28:50putting Chuba Hubard on sell high video after sell high video going Jonathan Brooks is going to come back and all of
28:56a sudden Chubber is going to turn into a committee running back with Brooks. What ended up happening, Jonathan Brooks came back and immediately tore his ACL and
29:04Chubbert was great the entire season.
29:06Absolutely brutal. Um but now you don't have to pay that same RB13 price tag.
29:12Like here we're ranking him at RB27 and if you look at where he is currently going in drafts like this isn't
29:21the tippity top price. Like I'm ranking him ahead of ADP. You can see I actually drafted him in the $100 draft we did
29:28yesterday at 77. I took him behind Tony Pard. I took him behind Raadre Stevenson. I took him 12 picks behind
29:38Jaylen Warren. So, people are really scared off Chuba Hubard right now because the Jonathan Brooks stuff, but I'm fine buying. Now, Jarian Price is a
29:46running back people are currently terrified of. The reason is is it is July 1st and the reports that we have
29:56regarding Jadarian Price is he's going to be in a committee. They don't view um him as a true threeown back blah blah
30:05blah. He's going to split with George Alani in the early part of the year and then Zack Sharpet is going to be back at
30:11the end of the season.
30:13For me, you know what I view? I view a running back that the team just selected a round one NFL pick on
30:21in a backfield with guys that have not proven anything at the NFL level with George Alani as well as Emanuel Wilson
30:29with Zack Charbanet not coming back until the end of the season. And frankly, if these reports were coming out in August where they were telling
30:38us, yeah, um, Jadarian Price not really going to be used as a three down guy.
30:42Um, he's really going to be in a committee all year. I would be scared.
30:46But if that report's coming out, what was this June 29th? It's so early in the process that we see this every single
30:55year. It never ceases to amaze me how people buy into it that early at camp.
31:02What is the coaching staff going to say?
31:04What is the general manager going to say? Oh, the rookie we just brought in that has never stepped foot in this
31:10building. He has to earn it. He's the backup. He has everything to prove.
31:16What's the alternative?
31:18Oh, yeah. Oh, Jarian Price, we haven't seen him at practice. We don't really know his work ethic. He's the guy. Yeah,
31:25but we're really relying on him this year. We really need him. That's why we took him in round one. Coaches never say
31:29that, right? Maybe if you're Ezekiel Elliott, Saquon Barkley, and you're a top five NFL draft pick, but we'll get to Jeremiah Love later. They're not even
31:37saying that with Jeremiah Love right now. Now, Basel Tuton, strong prospect despite going day three of the NFL draft. Like, he was an elite athlete.
31:48His stuff in college pretty good from a production standpoint. However, he gets to the NFL and he does absolutely nothing. In his rookie season, plays
31:57behind Travis ETN all year. If you all remember in the flock league, Danny Lad spent his entire fab budget to pick up
32:04Tuden after Tank Bixby got dealt. Super excited about the upside in this Liam Cohen offense and he doesdly squat all year, right? 15 fantasy points in week
32:12two and then afterwards he sees over 10 fantasy points once. But now you have no Travis Tien, Chris Rodriguez dealing with the foot injury. I think that the
32:22median projection for these two running backs would actually be a lot closer.
32:26But if we are looking at the upside case, I think based on the athleticism and the receiving skill set, Tuton has a
32:32significantly higher ceiling than Chris Rodriguez would. Now, Quinn Sean Judkins, it's crazy to rank him at RB 24 when he's coming off of a really good
32:42rookie season with 59 rushing yards per game. I mean, half a rushing touchdown per contest as well at only 22 years
32:49old, right? But I'll go back to flockfantasy.com. Let's pull up those projections again and I'll just show y'all the bottom of them with how they
32:59look. The Cleveland Browns currently project to score 17.9 points per game, which is not only the worst mark in the NFL, but it's the worst mark by a decent
33:10measure. The next worst offense is supposed to be the Arizona Cardinals, which are like 0.7 points per game higher, right? So, the Browns are
33:18supposed to be the worst offense in the league. It's not supposed to be that close either. and Quinn Sean Judkins isn't going to catch the ball. So, I
33:25think that's a very real concern that I have. Going over to Bucky Irving, everything hinges on the injury stuff because with Bucky, even this past year
33:35with no Liam Cohen in the first four weeks, he looked pretty good before he went down with an injury, right? He had
33:4114.5, 18.1, 13.9, 25.5. He was giving you mid to low-end RB1 production. And here we're ranking him down as the RB23.
33:52Couple different reasons. One, they resigned Shawn Tucker. Two, they give a decent amount of money to Gainwell, who very easily could just look at a pretty
34:00large receiving share. And with Bucky, if we go through, we don't exactly know when he's going to be good to go. So,
34:08there is some injury uncertainty. If you're willing to stomach it, you can definitely go ahead and bite on them here. I will, of course, give you our
34:17updated rankings on flockfantasy.com pretty much every single time we get any injury updates. And at the same time, I'll hopefully get another running back
34:26rankings video out for you by the time you're ready to draft your ESPN league.
34:30But as of now, if I was drafting a team, I probably need to see him fall to round five if I'm going to bite on the injury
34:36discount. Now, David McGomery is a 29-year-old running back coming off the RB33 season where he had a historical falloff with his efficiency. Like, look
34:46at that juke rate down at 18% a career low. And also, he had a pretty big fall-off when it came to his utilization
34:52rate, both as a rusher and a receiver.
34:55So, looking at a fall-off like this for a 29year-old back, it's almost never good. If we look at the historical comps
35:02for guys that had similar age 28 seasons, you have some pretty good players on here like Devontto Freeman and not a single guy averaged more than
35:0911 points per game the following season.
35:12But we can't just look at what he did last year and try to carry that over one for one because now he goes from being
35:18in a backfield with JR Gibbs to being in a backfield with Woody Marks.
35:26So you have to give him the benefit of the doubt for that reason. And with Montgomery, I do think he could see 15
35:33plus touches a game very easily. I don't know if the big play upside is there.
35:38And I don't necessarily know how excited we are about the situation in Houston.
35:42Like I am much more optimistic about the situation in Chicago for DeAndre Swift because this is a top offense. With Swift, we haven't seen any type of
35:51falloff at any point of his career. He has been a top 24 running back every single season in points per game. I
35:58mean, over the past three years straight now, he's played at least 16 games every season. He's seen at least three targets
36:05per game every year of his NFL career.
36:07For three straight seasons, he's seen at least 13 carries per game as well. He's not as old as David McGomery. McGomery
36:13already 29. DeAndre Swift 27 and a half.
36:16I like the offense more. I like the offensive line. I like the coaching staff. I like the consistency. So, DeAndre Swift, if you needed a running
36:23back in round five, is probably the safest pick you can make. And then Trevon Hitter is the high upside swing.
36:31Again, really strong prospect profile.
36:33If we look at what he gave you in these individual weeks, three games with over 28 fantasy points as a rookie. Keep in
36:39mind, you had a total of one game for Amadre Stevenson in the first five years of his NFL career with 28 or more
36:46points. With Trevian, I believe he went at the 34 turn in the Flock League last year. Like the hype was out of control
36:53during the preseason, if y'all remember when he returned that kick. Um, if we go through and look at historical comps for
36:59his rookie season, we have guys like Montgomery, Raadre, Antonio Gibson, all of whom averaged over 14 points per game the following year. And then we also had
37:08some other guys like JK Dobbins, of course, who ended up getting injured.
37:11But with Trevon, I want to be a believer. I want to swing for the fences on the upside case of the athleticism,
37:18the collegiate skill set, and the flashes we saw at the end of this past year. But it's hard to ignore the fact
37:23that he was straight up benched during the NFL playoffs. Now, let's move over to Cam Scataboo. With Scat, I am more
37:32optimistic than I am regarding the Bucky Irving shoulder injury because Cam Scataboo, every report that has come out has been positive regarding his ankle,
37:43right? Um, we can see the latest thing.
37:46You just search Scataboo on Twitter. Cam Scataboo is expected to be full go for start of training camp. So, every time
37:53we get a Scataboo report, it's great. I drafted this dude last year in the Flock League as well in the double digit
37:58rounds. Ended up trading him before he got injured, but that's besides the point. Looking at what he we had once he
38:06took over as the starting running back for the Giants, because we can't really look at weeks one and eight, right?
38:12Let's just use the player comparison and let's cycle through specifically weeks 2 through 7 for Cam Scataboo. The reason this is important is these are every
38:23single week he played at least 50% of the snaps. Again, week one he wasn't a starter and week eight he ended up going
38:31down right at the beginning of that game, but he had already scored 10 fantasy points with only what 22% of the
38:37snaps before going down. But if you look at Scat weeks two through seven, he was the running back eight in points per
38:42game. This is a team that doesn't really bring in any additional competition.
38:46Obviously, there were rumors about this team with this new coaching staff drafting Jeremiah Love. That ended up not happening. It's not like they took
38:53Jaderian Pro. It's not like they took Jonah Coleman. It's not even like they took Mike Washington, right? So, as long as Scataboo is healthy with where he's
39:01currently going in drafts around four, I think he's one of the biggest values at the running back position. I have drafted a tremendous amount of them and
39:09it seems like if we just continue to get the positive beat of him being full go by training camp and having a month plus
39:18leading into the season at full participation, there's no reason to assume he doesn't just pick up where he left off in a team that may be better
39:25with the improved coaching staff. And obviously you'd hope that Malik Neighbors is back for scat. That way they have some vertical element on the
39:32offense. Now Josh Jacobs I also drafted in the flock league last year. actually traded for him and I want to stand by he
39:40had a very good season before going down with the injury later on. Keep in mind I ended up losing in week 16 this past
39:48year. Big reason was Jacobs gets injured then he puts up this 4.8 week in week 16 and it's like brother why are you out
39:57there? You're hurting the Packers.
39:59You're hurting my fantasy team because when you're healthy I have to start you.
40:03And then in week 17, he puts up 1.3 fantasy points. So him playing through an injury he very clearly shouldn't have
40:10played through um actually skewed the numbers of what you add last season. If we go through and look at what Jacobs
40:17did, just call it through the first 15 weeks, right? Through the first 15 weeks for Josh Jacobs, he was the running back
40:25seven in points per game, averaging 17.8. I mean, he was just a straightup bellcow as well. He was seventh in the
40:32NFL in rushing attempts per game during that period. Second in the NFL in rushing attempts inside the 5 yard line.
40:39He was seeing three targets a game. He was seeing 20 receiving yards per game.
40:4389 total yards per contest. Like Jacobs looked pretty good and he's young, too.
40:48Like he's 28 years old. He's a year younger than David McGomery who was in that same draft class.
40:54So, if Jacobs dodges all legal punishment, dodges all suspension risk, he is going to be an absolute smash if you were able to get
41:06him in the fourth round.
41:08However, of course, we don't necessarily know about Jacobs given the allegations against him. if he ends up
41:19I don't know seeing the suspension maybe the Packers take action on him but there is almost no competition in this backfield for Jacobs to be a three- down
41:29running back again um Javvante Williams kind of seems like a whatever running back like he started off super strong tailed off a bit at the end of the year
41:36but ultimately played 69% of the snaps for the Dallas Cowboys this past season finishes the RB12 it's a good offense he
41:43had almost 16 carries a game 3.2 two targets per contest. He had like 19 total opportunities a game in a good
41:49offense. He's only 26 years old. He's another year removed from that devastating injury that he had in 2022, which looked like it really zapped him
41:57of his athleticism in the following years. So, you would hope that Javvante is able to continue to improve because he was an incredible prospect coming out
42:05of school. Not only was he an incredible prospect coming out of school, but early on in his NFL career, he looked really
42:11good, right? 4.4 four yards per carry as a rookie, six yards per target. Like, he was a very efficient running back and he
42:17ended up just having a devastating injury that it looks like he's finally fully over and he's in a good offense with zero competition whatsoever. My
42:25problem with the running back position this year is these guys are just so much more expensive than they've historically been that I would say I'm probably less
42:33likely to want to go through and draft like Javvante Williams in round three if that's where he is going. And I'd be
42:41more so wanting to take a wide receiver in that range and then grab one of the running backs in the first two rounds
42:46we'll talk about in a second. Now, let's move over to Kairen Williams. Kirn Williams was going in round four of best
42:53drafts earlier this off season. I ended up putting him on the running backs I can't stop drafting list because through the first 100 drafts, he was one of my
43:01most drafted RBs. He has snuck up in ADP since then where right now he's going in the middle of round three which I do
43:07think is an appropriate cost for him because there is some risk with Kirn, right? He has gotten worse for three seasons straight now
43:16specifically with his fantasy points per game. Like he averaged 21 points per game in 23. Then that fell down to 17
43:23points per game at 24, 15 and a half points per game this past season. If we look at the usage rates, that's actually
43:29fallen as well where he played 88% of the snaps in 2024. He was like really the only true bellcow running back in
43:37the entire league in 24 and that fell down to 70% in 25 with Blake Cororm seeing more of the backfield, especially
43:44near the end of the season. Now, with that in mind, it's not like Blake Cororm is going to take over as the starting
43:49running back here. Kairen Williams is definitely going to be the starter, but if Blake Cororm can consistently eat into 30% of the backfield here for the
43:57Rams, it is going to lead to Kairen Williams being a lot closer to this 15 and a half points per game as opposed to
44:04where he was back in 23 where he was at 21 points per game. So definitely Blake Corm has expanded his role and it's
44:12maybe caused Kairen to be a shakier projection than he was a couple years ago. I think it's a fair price point to
44:18take him in round three if he were to fall to us in round four of drafts again, which is where we were scooping
44:23him up a ton previously. Then he'd go right back to just being a mustdraft player for me. But in your ESPN draft, I
44:31would expect him to probably be a round three pick. And if you start with like Jamar Chase and then Drake London,
44:38can't hurt to take Kron Williams there in round three. Now, Travis ETN is going to a Kellmore offense in which they pay
44:45him a decent amount of money to be the straightup dude. I mean, the expectation right now is there is a good shot that
44:53you do not have Alvin Kamara with this team this next year. Whether that's due to retirement, whether it's due to Kamar
44:59ended up actually getting traded. I know a lot of people are going to scream, "Oh my gosh, Kiren said he doesn't want to
45:03get traded, blah blah blah." I think Kamar is maybe just being a nice team friendly player. Um because you actually have $28 million guaranteed for Travis
45:11CTN in this Saints offense, right? And a lot of that is through the first two years. You have 22 million in dead cap
45:19through the first two seasons. So it does look like it's a two-year deal where they're going to pay Travis CTN a
45:24ton of money. He's coming off a season where he was just the RB 14 in points per game, averaging 14.94.
45:33And I mean, this Saints offense, assuming Kamar is not a real threat, which didn't look like that was the case last year, is set
45:43up to potentially just carry over the same workload that ETN had from the Jacksonville Jaguars to the New Orleans Saints. And going back to those
45:50sportsbook projections, I believe the Saints project to be the fourth most improved offense year-over-year. Let me pull up those projections real quick.
46:00The Saints project to improve by 3.2. 2 points per game according to sports books, which yes is only behind the Titans and Raiders in terms of biggest
46:09offensive leaps. The Saints currently project to score more points than the Steelers, the Titans, the Panthers, the Raiders, the Jets, the Dolphins, the
46:17Cardinals, and the Browns. So, they're going to be a bad offense, but um better than they've historically been, at least as of late. Now, Bree Hall is our next
46:24running back. Bree is going to be in a garbage offense, but the thing is this dude is going to have no competition
46:30whatsoever. Like I would not be surprised if for Hall we get something close to the 2024 season, right? Where yes, the New York Jets are garbage how
46:39they always are, but we get 72% of the snaps for Breeze. He sees 63% of the carries in the backfield and he sees a
46:46target share number honestly probably higher than 13.8% because Gino's going to be a high checkdown rate quarterback.
46:52Maybe it goes back to what we saw in his second NFL year where he was the RB6 in fantasy points per game, closer to a 17%
46:59team target share. Um, the big upside case that you'd possibly have with Breeze, is if somehow the Jets exceed expectations, right? I know that there
47:09are those crazy people that really think that Gino Smith's a good quarterback.
47:13For me, I'm a simpleton, right? I'm never going to sit here and tell you that I'm the smartest guy on the planet.
47:18I know I'm an idiot. I know I think get things wrong all the time. And I view Gino Smith as a quarterback that he just
47:24left one NFL team and the team he left won the Super Bowl and the team he went to got the first overall pick in the NFL
47:32draft. So what that tells me as a simpleton is Gino Smith not a good quarterback and I don't think we're going to have some secret elevation of
47:41this New York Jets offense. Um Jeremiah Love in a very similar problem, right?
47:46Jeremiah Love an elite level prospect.
47:49Nobody's going to deny that.
47:52But the Arizona Cardinals currently project to be the second to worst offense in the league this year, only ahead of the Cleveland Browns. The
48:01reason I'm going to give Jeremiah Love the nod over Quinn Sean Judkins though will be one, I think that Jeremiah Love
48:07is a better running back, and two, I think Jeremiah Love will have a larger receiving role. Now, Jeremiah Love currently is falling to the third round
48:16of these high stakes drafts I'm in consistently. Now, for me, third round Jeremiah Love is 100% worth the
48:25riskto-reward ratio right here in the $100 draft we did last night. He ended up making it down to pick 24. This is
48:32very similar to the range that he goes in. You can see I took Bree Hall at 29 in this one after starting JSN and Drake
48:38London. But if I were to get Jeremiah Love in this range in the early third round, it just makes so much sense. And
48:46uh the reason why everybody is scared off of him is twofold. One, what just happened with Ashton Genty his rookie season? What happened with Ashen Genty
48:56his rookie season is he was a round one fantasy football pick and then proceeded to be in the worst offense in the NFL
49:05that got the number one overall pick in the NFL draft. And of course in that environment, Ashen Genty was a bust when
49:12you took him in round one. And then we can go through and look at a very similar situation. What happened when
49:20you took Bejian Robinson round one of his rookie season? You took Bejian Robinson round one of his rookie season and Bejon finished as the RB 17 in
49:31points per game. Ashton Genty finishes the RB 16 in points per game. And when you take a player like that in round
49:39one, it's going to tank your season. Of course, there's no hiding from it.
49:46People have learned their lesson, though. You don't have to take Jeremiah Love inside the first round. And also the two most recent examples that we have with
49:57running backs being a top five NFL pick or there are three examples I want to look at. A top five NFL pick and what
50:05they did their rookie season were one Squan Barkley which we can go ahead and pull up Saquon Barkley's rookie season now. Let's just do this here. um where
50:17he came through and in his rookie season in 2018, he had over 2,000 yards from scrimmage and 15 total touchdowns in 16
50:25games. And Saquon Barkley was a league winner. Was this a good offense for the New York Giants? Of course, it wasn't a
50:32good offense for the New York Giants.
50:33They had the second overall pick for a reason. Another example that we had of a top five NFL pick recently at the
50:40running back position was Ezekiel Elliott who had about 2,000 yards from scrimmage as a rookie and 16 total touchdowns in 15 games played. The only
50:50other example that we have recently of a top five drafted running back was Leonard Fornette who only played 13 games, but in those 13 games he had
50:59over,300 yards from scrimmage. So when a team historically takes a running back inside the top five, they are going to feature that running back. I don't care
51:09if Tyler Alier is on this team. I don't care if blurbs are coming out saying, "Oh, Alier is going to split this
51:15backfield." If I can get a top five rookie running back that has the athleticism, that has the prospect profile at the two three turn in drafts,
51:24I'm going to do it. My only main concern is that the Cardinals offense projects to be really bad. But if like they're
51:32the Raiders, that's worstc case scenario for Jeremiah Love. And then at that point, I'm drafting a mid running back too in the third round. But best case
51:40scenario is the Cardinal surprise to the upside. And if that happens, I think you could have 2,000 yards from Jeremiah Love in his rookie season from
51:49scrimmage. Now, Dererick Henry is going to be our next back. I'm ranking Derrick Henry as a second round pick for full
51:55PBR formats where with Derrick Henry this past year he was the running back eight in fantasy points per game. So if
52:02you took him in the second round finishing as the RB8, are you going to cry about that? Eh, probably not. But it
52:09was all backlog in week 17. We already talked about this. If we look at weeks 2 through 16, 2.3, 10.7, 7.8, 8 9.3 14
52:2019.1 13.1 11.4 20 22 17 11 10 22 I mean he had 1 2 three four five games with 20
52:31or more points in week 17 when you had no Lamar Jackson and when you had no Jordan Love and frankly a wacky
52:38meaningless game. Yes, he blew up. But if you took him in round two of your ESPN draft last year, you weren't in the
52:44championship so it didn't matter. and now he's going to turn 33 years old at the end of this season. If we look at
52:50running backs that had a similar age 31 season to Derrick Henry, you had Hall of Fame level players here. You had LT,
52:58Marshon Lynch, Frank Gore, Matt Forte, Steven Jackson, and then some bad guys like Raheem Oster, right? But we've had
53:08nine comps similar to Derk Henry's age 31 year. And every single running back besides Marshon Lynch and Frank Gore got worse year-over-year.
53:17So I want to reiterate the base expectation for a running back at this age is they are going to get worse
53:23year-over-year. I know we always say this about running backs that are in their 30s and there's been one guy to survive so far that name has been Derk
53:31Henry. So people will go through and they'll say, "Oh, age doesn't matter.
53:35Look at Derrick Henry." and they'll completely ignore Alvin Kamara, Leonard Fornette, Dalvin Cook, Ezekiel Elliott, all these other elite running backs that
53:46ended up falling off as they hit their 30s. Now, Kenneth Walker is our next back. Kenneth Walker going over to the
53:53Kansas City Chiefs. You want to assume that they're going to give him all the opportunities in the world, right?
53:59Historically, we did just see Kenneth Walker on a team that won the Super Bowl, the most efficient offense in the NFL, finishes a running back three in
54:10fantasy football. Right? I want to put that out there. If we look at sportsbook projections for this next season and compare how the Kansas City Chiefs
54:20project this year to how the Seattle Seahawks scored last year, the Seahawks last year averaged 28 and a half points
54:30per game, whereas the Kansas City Chiefs this year project to score 24.2.
54:36So Walker should be in a worse offense this season than what he was last year.
54:42However, the market share numbers will go up where previously he had Zack Charbanet to compete with and now he has Emit Johnson. So, I think the market
54:54share numbers go up for Kenneth Walker.
54:55The offense is going to be worse. The Kansas City Chiefs haven't had a running back return value if you draft them as a
55:02top 12 guy since I want to say 2017.
55:05Kareem Hunt.
55:07So, it's not like the Chiefs historically put up running back points, but they pay Walker a ton of money. He looks like a super talented running
55:13back, and you would assume that they lean on him given the fact that you have Mahomes coming off a significant injury.
55:20Now, Siguan Barkley was my round one pick in the Flock League last year. I took him as the sixth player off the
55:26board when he was coming off a season with 22 fantasy points, finishing as the running back one.
55:33It was horrendous, right? I put the student into my starting lineup every single week. He gave us two games with 20 more points
55:41and only one of those games he looked really good and that was week eight with 33.
55:46It was frustrating. I was pulling my hair out. I have no idea how I finished with the second best record and earned a
55:51buy if this was my round one pick.
55:53Incredible.
55:55And a lot of people are backing on the experience because you have the change with the coaching staff, the change with
56:00the offensive coordinator where the Philadelphia Eagles project to be a better offense this year than they were last year. Let me pull up the latest
56:08projections that we have. As of today, the Eagles project to score about 23.8 points per game. That's a point and a
56:16half higher than they were last season.
56:18And you'd assume that they lean on the run with the departure of AJ Brown. But you still have the tush push which is
56:24going to eat into goal line opportunities for Barkley. So if you're going to get rushing touchdowns from Barkley, kind of has to come outside of
56:32the five yard line, right? You're not having to deal with that with other running backs at the top. And I do want
56:36to point out that Barkley is a 29-year-old running back that's dealt with injuries in the past as coming off a season in which we did have a
56:42significant drop off with his efficiency. So I am somewhat concerned with Barkley. I haven't drafted a lot of them because these next two few running
56:50backs we're going to talk about you can get at a cheaper cost. Now, looking at Chase Brown, I don't understand why
56:57Chase Brown projects so poorly when it comes to sports books because I view a running back that has been elite
57:07over the past two seasons when you've had Joe Burrow, right? Let's go through and let's look at the past two years,
57:142024 and 2025 for Chase Brown in games in which Joe Burrow's played and in games in which Joe Burrow has missed.
57:23The expectations for me right now is Joe Burrow will be playing the majority of this season. And we've had Chase Brown
57:30at 17.1 points per game over the past two years in the 24 games in which Burrow's played. He's been a three-own
57:38workhorse where he's had 14.7 rush attempts a game and 4.25 targets per game, averaging almost 20 opportunities.
57:47And keep in mind in this data set, we have a lot of these dud games at the beginning of 2024 before he really took
57:54over as the feature running back in Cincinnati. So if we were to just look at weeks nine onwards after he broke out
58:00in the 2024 season, it is even that much better. So for me with Chase Brown, knowing the Cincinnati Bengals project to be one of the best offenses in the
58:09league, knowing that Chase Brown is going to be involved as a receiver and that he has been just a three- down
58:15player in the games in which Burrow's played, I am a-okay taking him ahead of Barkley, ahead of Walker, ahead of Derrick Henry because we have seen it
58:23before. Now, Devon Han, we've seen it before, but we have to put an asterisk on it because the offense is about to be
58:32worse than it was in the past. For three straight seasons now, Devon Achan has been a top six running back in fantasy
58:38football. His rookie season finishing as the RB5, in year two, finishing as the RB6, and in year three, finishing as the
58:45RB5. Yet again, over the past three years, he has increased his targets per game every season. He has increased his rushing attempts per game every season
58:55and the Miami Dolphins just gave him the absolute bag to be their long-term running back. So you would look at a
59:03profile like this where he's coming off the RB5 year at 24 years old. You would see his historical comps being Dalvin
59:09Cook, Adrien Peterson, Maurice Jones Drew, Ezekiel Elliott, Darren McFaden, Ryan Matthews, Pton Hill, Slinfet, Jamal Charles, and see that there are only a
59:17few bust on this list. and you have somebody like Dalvin Cook averaging 24 points per game the following season and you would maybe make an argument, oh my
59:26gosh, how the hell is this not an A tier running back, why are you ranking him behind where he's finished every single
59:33season of his NFL career up until this point? It's twofold. One, I don't like the change with quarterback. Going from Malik, I'm sorry, going from Tua to
59:43Malik Willis will inherently lead to the checkdowns falling. We know these rushing quarterbacks are going to have a lower checkdown rate than an immobile
59:51quarterback like Tua would. The second thing with it is with the changing coaching staff, I don't know how the scheme is going to carry over from H the
59:59past three years to this season. And the third prong and the most concerning prong with it is going back to those
60:05projections. The Miami Dolphins project to be a bottom five offense in the league. Right? The Dolphins only project to be better than the Arizona Cardinals
60:14as well as the Cleveland Browns. But we've already pointed out that Han's been a top five to six running back every season of his NFL career. And how
60:24were the Dolphins last year? Oh, the Dolphins last year only averaged 1.5 1.5 more points per game. So the Dolphins were already a really bad
60:35offense last season and HN's already been a running back one in that scenario. So, Han, as of now, I'll show you my best portfolio on
60:45vlogfantasy.com.
60:47He has been, I want to say, my most drafted running back. Yes, he is. Devon Han is my most drafted running back at
60:57this point. I have drafted him 33 times at an average pick of 14.7 because I am consistently seeing Devon Han fall
61:06behind some of these other backs. Like Devon Han in that $100 draft I keep referencing last night fella to pick 17.
61:13This isn't rare. Devon Han falls to 18, 19, 20 in a lot of these. So everybody's in agreement that the Dolphins are going
61:21to be worse. The Dolphins are going to be bad. So, everybody is already pricing Devon Aan as a much worse pick than he's
61:27historically been. And I'm fine buying the discount because if the situation was as good as it's been in the past, this dude should be an S tier level
61:35running back. We're getting a discount on him in the B tier and he's still a value. Now, Marian Hampton is my next
61:42player. With Hampton, this dude's gonna go nuclear this season. It's hard to ignore.
61:4715 points per game. He's the RB 13 last year in points per game. If we go through and look at what he did before
61:55he went down, he played a game against the Denver Broncos where he had 80% of the snaps. He played a game against the
62:01Giants where he had 89% of the snaps.
62:04Then week five, obviously gets injured.
62:06He comes back from that injury later in the season to a committee and he has to ramp himself up, which this looks like a
62:12very normal progression. 31% of the snaps his first week back, 37% of the snaps the second week, 56% the third
62:20week, and 81% in week 17.
62:24So, we've seen when he's healthy, this dude's a three-own workhorse.
62:29Happened before the injury, and he ramped himself up to be that after the injury as well.
62:35The thing that I want to be also hammering in on will be the Chargers with the improvements with the coaching staff as well as the offensive line are
62:43projected to be a better offense this year than they were last year. The Los Angeles Chargers as of today project to
62:50score 24 points per game. Last year they were at 21 a half. So they're supposed to score two and a half points per game
62:57more this year than they did last. So I think Hampton's going to go nuclear.
63:02Phenomenal prospect. three down workhorse win given the opportunity and an offense that's supposed to be a hell of a lot better with the coaching staff
63:09and offensive line improvements. Now, James Cook, it's going to be our next back. If we are looking at James Cook here, back-to-back incredible seasons,
63:16right? I was worried about the rushing touchdowns dropping off from 2024 to 2025 because if we go through and look at his rushing touchdown totals, he had
63:25two rushing touchdowns in his first two seasons, then he had 16 rushing touchdowns in 2024. I thought we were going to see some regression there, and
63:32yes, that did regress, but it ended up not mattering because he went from 12.9 carries per game in 2024 to a full-blown
63:41breakout at 18.2 carries per game the following season. So, when you're drafting James Cook here as a round one pick, what you need him to be is you
63:50need him to be the true feature down running back for the Buffalo Bills. But that's been the case. The Bills are an
63:56elite offense, so it does appear that there are very few red flags you can have with Cook. Now, Astron Genty will
64:03be our next player. With Genty, he was put in a horrendous situation last year.
64:10The Raiders were bad enough to earn the number one overall pick. They had a garbage offensive line, garbage coaching staff, garbage quarterback play. But all
64:20three of those, the trifecta was improved year-over-year, right? You improve the offensive line with significant investments. You improve the coaching staff, maybe the biggest
64:30coaching staff upgrade year-over-year of any NFL team. And you completely remove the quarterback room previous of Gino Smith to now you have the combination of
64:40Cousins early in the season and Mendoza late in the year. So, as of now, sports books are projecting the Raiders to be
64:47the most improved offense year-over-year. Last season, they averaged 14.2 2 points per game, which was the worst mark in the league, and it
64:55wasn't even close. It was worse than the Browns by over two points. This year, they project to average 19.1 points per
65:02game. So, you almost have a five points per game jump year-over-year for the Raiders projection. Genty's a true three-own bellcount. They have really
65:11nothing behind him. So, I think Genty is set up to go absolutely nuclear, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's an
65:18S tier running back in our rankings by the time we get to week four. Now, Christian McCaffrey will be our next
65:25player. There's not a single player in fantasy that has this ceiling. 24 and a half points per game in 2025 when he was
65:31fully healthy. 24 and a half points per game in 2023 when he was fully healthy.
65:36The ceiling is absurd, right? We all know that. But also with McCaffrey, he's now in his 30s. We have seen him come
65:45off a season in which he had the worst efficiency mark of his entire NFL career.
65:51And at the same time, we can go through and look at the fact that he has dealt with injuries through his NFL career. In
65:572020, he played three games. 2021, he played seven games. 2024, he played four games.
66:02He's coming off a season in which he had 311 carries, 102 receptions, so over 400 total touches in the regular season.
66:11Historically, this has led to a higher injury rate the following year.
66:16But again, the ceiling is absolutely insane. So, it's hard to rank McCaffrey anything outside of a top five RB.
66:23Obviously, S took McAffrey at pick five in the Flock League last year, ended up winning $10,000 because of it. Now, S
66:30also took Jonathan Taylor in round two, the man freaking Cook last season. And Jonathan Taylor was the best player in fantasy football, and it wasn't even
66:36close before the Daniel Jones injury.
66:38Let me pull up the player comparison on flockfantasy.com, and we'll look at Jonathan Taylor with and without Daniel Jones this past season, right? And maybe
66:47we can expand this over the past two years to look at these splits with and without Daniel Jones. Because in the
66:54games in which Daniel Jones has played over the past two years, there were 13 of them. Jonathan Taylor, 23.8 fantasy points per game, the RB3 during that
67:02stretch. And the games in which you had no Daniel Jones, that falls down to 16.7.
67:07Is it because Daniel Jones is a super high checkown rate, blah, blah, blah?
67:10No. It's very simple. The Indianapolis Colts offense, they were elite, especially from the efficiency standpoint when Daniel Jones was the starter.
67:21So Daniel Jones coming back from the Torch Achilles, you want to assume that they're going to go right back to where
67:26they were.
67:28But we can't say that for sure with a quarterback coming off that toward Achilles. As of now, the Indianapolis Colts project to be the third offense
67:39with the worst year-over-year drop off where last year they averaged 27.4 points per game. This year they project at 22.8.
67:49So they are supposed to just be a middle- of the road offense this season.
67:54Now, we are going to have Bejon Robinson at two with Bejon. I'm rocking his jersey. Hell, I mean, I should hopefully
68:01be able to find some Bejian Robinson photos with y'all because y'all know Bejon and myself. We are best friends, right? We grew up with each other. Um,
68:11we actually are cousins if y'all didn't know that. If y'all can't tell by our striking resemblance. Um, obviously all of this is jokes. I'm just trying to
68:20stall so I can pull up some photos of Mr. Bejon Robinson with myself because we got some cute ones together, right? Let's swing over to my Instagram
68:30real quick. Where where are we? Oh, um cute little picture of Bejan Robinson and yours truly. I don't know who's Mog
68:37and who here, but um you can let me know what you think. And then we got another one where we're at the NFL draft with
68:43Bejon. Come on. Best buddies have been forever. You know, I don't want to root for our guy. I will say the offense just
68:50projects to be much worse in Atlanta in comparison to where it is in Detroit.
68:54And while you are losing Tyler Algier year-over-year, you are bringing in Brian Robinson. And I think the drop off from Alier to Brian Robinson is smaller
69:02than the drop off that we have from Montgomery to Isaiah Pacheco. So for that reason, I'm going to put Gibbs at
69:09one, especially if he just gets all those goal line touches that went to David McGomery in the past. Can't go wrong with either one of these running
69:16backs. Both of these guys should be picks that you are making at 101 and 102. And if you can take either, you are
69:24set up for success this season. But I think that's all I got for you. I really hope I was able to help you out in some
69:29way with this. I know we went super long with this video. So, please drop a like on it. And of course, if you want to win
