Andrew Armstrong

NegativeUsage27:27

Andrew Armstrong is noted as a benchmark for route participation, recording a 75% route share.

Insight page

Breece Hall

PositiveUsage4:12

Breece Hall is expected to return and serve as a larger force within the Jets' passing game moving forward.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeUsage25:08

Thomas has seen his route share decrease for three consecutive weeks, culminating in a game where he potentially registered no snaps or routes in the second half. The source views him as a 'hold' only in the hope of a trade, noting he is currently effectively out of the offense.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection29:14

Brock Bowers is performing at an elite level, playing 98% of routes and averaging 20 points per game. He is considered a top-five redraft asset and is outscoring everyone else on the list.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

PositiveProjection20:30

C.J. Stroud is performing at an elite level, recording three consecutive games with 20+ PPR points, a significant improvement over his output last season. The Texans have shifted to a pass-heavy approach, allowing Stroud to consistently drive the offense to 30+ point performances.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeProjection27:02

The source believes Williams is not yet 100% himself, citing a significant drop in average intended air yards (AOT) from 9.2 last year to 5.9 this season. While the offense is currently playing conservatively with a focus on inside-the-10-yard-line runs, his shift toward being a more checkdown-friendly quarterback is currently benefiting his receivers' target volume.

Insight page

Cam Ward

NegativeProjection9:48

The source identifies Cam Ward as a significant limiting factor for the fantasy production of his receivers, specifically noting that the overall offensive performance caps the ceiling for players like Carnell Tate.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveBreakout9:44

Carnell Tate is a high-upside dynasty asset and viable redraft WR3/flex play. He is producing strong metrics, including a 12-yard ADOT, 3.18 yards per route run, and high slot usage. He ranks WR22 in usage and WR26 in production over the last four weeks, showing alpha-level traits. His immediate ceiling is currently capped by the poor performance of quarterback Cam Ward.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeProjection27:20

Loveland is described as lucky to have caught a touchdown, with the source noting his overall production and per-route metrics are poor.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

NegativeUsage27:14

Cyrus Allen is currently buried on the depth chart, seeing only 13% of routes. While he is not currently a viable fantasy option, he showed promise in limited action with a 50% targets-per-route-run rate on four routes, indicating the team wants to get him the ball.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveUsage27:15

Swift is benefiting from the Bears' conservative red zone play-calling, which relies heavily on running the ball inside the 10-yard line.

Insight page

Deion Burks

NegativeValue25:55

Dion Burks is a deep dynasty prospect who has struggled to find consistent footing, though he has posted respectable efficiency metrics with 1.81 yards per route run on an extremely small sample size.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

NegativeUsage9:11

Denzel Boston is a high-variance, deep-threat receiver. While his low targets-per-route-run rate is a concern, his 17-yard ADOT provides enough upside for occasional big games, though he remains prone to low-production outings.

Insight page

Elijah Higgins

NegativeUsage25:07

Elijah Higgins is noted as a secondary target competitor for Michael Wilson in the Cardinals' offense, though his impact is considered minimal compared to other options.

Insight page

Emeka Egbuka

PositiveUsage38:55

Emeka Egbuka is commanding targets at a high rate, boasting a 22.7% targets-per-route-run rate, which is among the highest on the list. Despite delivering fantasy points amidst poor quarterback play, the source expects further improvement once Baker Mayfield returns to the lineup.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

NegativeUsage34:34

Harold Fannon's fantasy value has declined due to trending down routes, poor efficiency (1.8 yards per route run), and a lack of targets; he is now relegated to a streaming option based on matchups.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

NegativeUsage32:18

Likely saw his target share dip to 17% with JJ McCarthy under center, though he did record a touchdown in the limited sample size.

Insight page

J.J. McCarthy

NegativeRole30:54

The arrival of JJ McCarthy has shifted the target distribution, reducing the hyper-targeted nature of the offense between Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely, though Nabers maintained a 29% target share in the limited sample.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveUsage33:29

Jalen Coker is an "awesome player" who maintains strong target volume, seeing 13 targets in Week 6 and averaging 14.1 points per game; he is a solid WR2 moving forward despite sharing volume with Jalen McMillan.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

NegativeRole13:59

Jalen McMillan is a strong WR2 option alongside Jalen Coker, though his ceiling is capped by target cannibalization between the two; he averaged 10.1 points per game over their last nine games together. Like Carnell Tate, his individual talent is currently constrained by his team's offensive ceiling.

Insight page

Jalen Nailor

NegativeUsage22:12

Jalen Nailor is a boom-bust, desperation flex option. While he demonstrates elite efficiency with 2.5 yards per route run and explosive play potential, his route participation remains in the 60% range, and the team's crowded receiver room limits his consistent fantasy utility.

Insight page

Jalen Royals

NegativeUsage27:26

Jaylen Royals is noted as a benchmark for route participation, recording an 84% route share.

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeProjection36:06

The source believes Josh Downs is not a viable fantasy option in the current Indianapolis offense, noting that despite receiving eight targets, he only managed four catches for 40 yards.

Insight page

Kadarius Toney

PositiveBust5:43

The source uses Kadarius Toney as a negative archetype for rookie receivers who struggle with low average depth of target (ADOT) roles and persistent off-field availability issues.

Insight page

Keon Coleman

PositiveSleeper32:03

Keon Coleman is a recommended waiver wire stash who has proven himself as a legitimate NFL talent. He has shown improvement with a 10%+ first downs per route run rate, 1.93 yards per route run, and touchdowns in three straight games, including a 100-plus yard performance against New England.

Insight page

Kyle Williams

NegativeRole37:52

Kyle Williams saw his route participation ramp up to 60% in his latest outing, suggesting he is effectively filling the role previously held by Romeo Doubs in the New England offense.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveBreakout35:50

Ladd McConkey is a talented player with strong underlying metrics, including green across the board in target share, yards per route run, and first down per route run, despite the Chargers' overall offensive struggles. While the source previously characterized his 2024 season as a lost one, the current assessment highlights his positive underlying efficiency metrics as encouraging.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveUsage27:36

Despite a low 44% route participation, Burden is highly efficient when on the field. He is outproducing teammates like Odunze and Loveland in PPR leagues, recently posting 17.5 points, 8 targets, and 95 yards; he is considered a fine WR3.

Insight page

Malachi Fields

NegativeUsage25:09

Malachi Fields saw increased usage following an injury to Darnell Mooney, but he remains a secondary option who primarily clears space for teammates like Isaiah Likely and Malik Nabers rather than a high-value fantasy target.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveBreakout30:54

Malik Nabers is described as elite, posting 29.2% targets per route run and 2.36 yards per route run despite returning from a brutal ACL tear. He has been a 20+ point per game player over the last four weeks and is a hold candidate.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeUsage30:45

Marvin Harrison Jr. saw his route participation drop to 25% following a trade, but he remained highly efficient in his limited opportunities, recording 3.78 yards per route run and three first downs on four targets.

Insight page

Mason Taylor

NegativeUsage5:02

Mason Taylor is currently a stash-only player due to insufficient route participation, having run only 23% of routes in his recent game. He needs his route share to climb toward 70% to be fantasy-relevant; in shallow leagues, he is a drop.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveBreakout35:00

Matthew Golden has emerged as a focal point in the offense, producing 16.8 points per game with a 27% targets per route run rate. He is compared to early-career Stefon Diggs and Calvin Ridley for his three-level separation ability and ability to produce alongside established veterans like Christian Watson.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveUsage23:20

Michael Wilson has struggled with efficiency since the team began utilizing heavy 13 personnel packages. In two games without Marvin Harrison Jr., his expected PPR points per game rose to 13.4 with a 17.5% target share, but his overall efficiency has declined compared to his previous role, raising concerns about whether his past production was a flash in the pan. He currently competes for targets with Trey McBride and Elijah Higgins.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeUsage20:12

Nico Collins is currently running routes on only 80% of team plays, which is attributed to potential lingering injury issues and the team's tendency to slow-play his return. While his fantasy ceiling is supported by C.J. Stroud's high-level play, his overall volume is capped by the Texans' extremely wide receiver rotation.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

PositiveBreakout2:57

Omar Cooper is a priority waiver wire add with late-season breakout potential. Despite missing two weeks with an ankle injury, he returned with elite efficiency, posting 3.68 yards per route run and a 12.3-yard aDOT. He proved he is not just a 'gadget' player by winning on the perimeter in a 'big boy way,' recording three first downs and a perfect passer rating when targeted. While the source cautions against expecting 100-yard games every week, he has clearly exceeded expectations of being a raw receiver who requires schemed touches.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

NegativeInjury5:03

The source uses Rashod Bateman's rookie season as a cautionary example of how early-season injuries can lead to a lost season for rookie wide receivers.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

NegativeRole27:25

While Odunze is running plenty of routes, his per-route production is poor. As the perimeter receiver in an offense with a low AOT, he is currently viewed as a boom-bust flex play at best.

Insight page

Travis Hunter

PositiveBreakout23:28

The source maintains high conviction in Travis Hunter's receiving talent, citing his ability to produce efficiently in limited opportunities, such as his 4-catch, 59-yard, 1-touchdown performance against the Texans on only seven routes run. While primarily a defensive player, he is recommended as a deep-league stash.

Insight page

Tre Harris

PositiveValue37:10

Trey Harris is currently sidelined with an injury, but the source notes he has encouraging underlying metrics and should be an interesting player to monitor closely upon his return to the field.

Insight page

Trey McBride

NegativeUsage25:05

Trey McBride is identified as the primary target competitor for Michael Wilson within the Cardinals' current offensive scheme, which has shifted toward heavy 13 personnel usage.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

NegativeProjection35:14

Tyler Warren is averaging 14 points per game with a 22% targets-per-route-run rate, indicating he is receiving solid volume. However, his fantasy utility is hampered by an inefficient Indianapolis offense, leading the source to view him as a disappointing asset relative to preseason expectations.

Insight page

Xavier Legette

NegativeBust32:33

Xavier Legette is currently considered a non-factor in the 2024 rookie class, described by the source as a "pure zero" at this point in the season.

Insight page

Xavier Worthy

PositiveUsage36:33

While Xavier Worthy is not earning his targets efficiently, he is a solid play when his route participation is high, evidenced by his seven-catch, 73-yard performance when other receivers were sidelined.

0:00What's going on, man? Welcome back to the basement. I'm Ron, and today we're going to talk through my top 10 lessons
0:07learned in fantasy football takeaways from week six as we look ahead to week seven. This is where we break down all
0:12of the data, usage, stats, trends, the world-famous rookie receiver report, the rookie running back carousel. I also have a treat for you guys that's in that
0:20same realm where we do all of the week-by-week tracking, and we look at all of the players. I'll actually spoil it right now. We'll do some year two and
0:27year three receiver works. I know a lot of you guys have asked for that. So, big show, big video today. All I ask is
0:34that if you're watching, leave a like, subscribe if you're new, and let's get straight into it. Now, of course, we are here with the rookie
0:44receiver report. This is every rookie wide receiver and tight end with 25 or more routes run sorted by their points per game. Of course, this section of the
0:52video is sponsored by Underdog. When you play $5, you get $100. You get a $10 bonus entry for 10 days. We have
0:59basketball coming up. Hockey's underway.
1:01Baseball playoffs on top of that, of course, the NFL is rocking and rolling.
1:06You can find that in the description and the comment section down below. Now, when we talk about the rookie receiver report, we take into
1:14account every rookie receiver, 25 plus routes run, uh their weekly route share. Anything over an 85% route share for a wide
1:22receiver means you're probably among the starters, and you can be started every week. Anything over 70% for tight ends.
1:28Points per game, that's just, you know, your PPR points divided by your games.
1:32Targets per out run. How much volume are you gaining on a per out basis? Yards per out run. How efficient are you on a per out basis? First downs
1:40per out run. Are you not only making big plays and earning targets, but are you moving the chains forward? And then you
1:45have your PFF grade. Say whatever you want about PFF grade, but historically speaking, it has been an accurate barometer of future success when it
1:54comes to rookie wide receivers. Now, of course, the man of the hour is the guy at the top here, Omar Cooper. He is up here among
2:04everybody. He's been hurt the last 2 weeks. Here's what I'll say, don't get too over your skis, but we will start
2:09here. He has his welcome to the NFL game. Now, it's important to note, and I was beating myself up for not mentioning
2:15him in week one, cuz it was really important to note that his first that essentially his injury, right? He gets an ankle injury, and that's why he's
2:21been out until today, is he gets a reception. It's a 20-yard explosive play, and then a Titans player tackles him, and he's out for the next 4 to 5
2:29weeks.
2:30But, it's nice to see that when he's on the field, he's making plays, big plays.
2:34Uh you know, after the catch plays is what he was kind of uh billed as out of Indiana, and now we have this where this
2:41week against the Patriots. Now, of course, you're going to see a lot of Christian Gonzalez shadowing Garrett Wilson. We still have Eddie Mitchell who
2:47needs to get healthy and come back in the mix. Kenyon Seddik's routes are going to get ramped up here, and Breece
2:52Hall is going to come back and be a bigger force in the passing game. So, do not expect seven targets, six catches,
2:58103 yards, and a touchdown versus the Patriots to be an every week outing, but for a guy that a lot of these guys we
3:04see all the time, whether it's Rashod Bateman as a rookie, or uh really any of these guys. If you pick up an injury early, it's really tough to
3:12get it going. Like, we'll see what happens with Jordan Tyson, but a lot of these guys that ends up being a lost
3:16season if you get banged up early in your rookie year. But, to see him come out here and be a guy right away, and
3:21not only be a guy, but he wasn't used in this gadgety role. That's what I was expecting. He is somebody who
3:27he [snorts] gets he's you know, he's one of the a billion one of the million guys who get Debo comps coming out of
3:32college. Meaning, he is a thicker built receiver. He has really good missed tackle force metrics, really good YAC metrics.
3:40But, a lot of these guys end up being Malachi Tony, or yeah, Malachi Corley, or Kadarius Tony, where they are uh
3:49in Malachi Corley's case, awful at football, and Kadarius Tony's face you know, he's obviously off the field all that whatever, but this like low A dot
3:57merchant is a really tough role to be fruitful for fantasy football. But instead he comes out here at 3.68 yards per out run in this game.
4:0712.3 yard A dot. So we're getting targets down the football field. He actually had one I was watching the game obviously it's the Jets. Where it was
4:13like a big boy route. He ran like a a really nice kind of like comeback route on the perimeter for a first down on
4:19like a a a big play late in the game.
4:21And that was really impressive cuz I was expecting for Omar Cooper to be more of a raw receiver that you're scheming up
4:26touches for. He was winning in a big boy way. Three first downs, perfect passer rating when targeted. Again, we'll see how this sticks, but a really really
4:33strong start to Omar Cooper's career.
4:35He's going to be one of our top waiver wire ads because of of course we always talk about with these guys the rookies
4:41have the late season upside. That could be Omar Cooper. Now let's talk about his Jet teammate here before we move on. We
4:48of course have Ke'Shawn DeeJay This one's a lot more disappointing. Of course, we can also remind ourselves just to kind of chill out on Omar Cooper
4:55a little bit cuz Ke'Shawn DeeJay did have the monster game versus the Detroit Lions and has come back down to earth in
5:01every game since. The big thing here, Mason Taylor has been back in the lineup and with that 23% of the routes and 36%
5:07of the routes just isn't going to cut it. In this game he didn't really do anything. He's purely a stash. He was
5:12coming off a game where he had a concussion the game before so maybe they were slow playing it, but until these
5:16routes can climb up into the 70% plus range, he is purely a stash. And even in shallow leagues a drop, but for dynasty
5:24stuff we like to see 24% targets per out run and 1.74 yards per out run. That is all good stuff there. Then we have the
5:31actual man of the hour, Jeremy Bernard.
5:33Again, I I am so mad at myself because we called him out as an ad earlier in the year and then Michael Pittman comes
5:39back and Roman Wilson emerges and the tight ends emerge and we're like ah you could probably drop this guy.
5:44He looks awesome. Now I will preface this by saying he is he's interesting in that I I I don't know. We'll see. It's still very
5:54early. I guess what I I I don't want to pump the brakes too hard cuz I'm excited about Jaylen Bernard. I think he's going
5:59to be fun. I think he's going to be usable, but one of these, you know, we look back and we remember the uh Rashee
6:04Rice, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Christian Watson, uh all of these kinds of seasons. I'd be shocked if Jaylen Bernard ends up being like a wide
6:11receiver one in points per game down the stretch, but that's not to say that he can't be like a wide receiver three with upside in
6:17your lineup. And the reason I say that is the efficiency stuff just isn't really exceptional at this point. He is definitely he he is essentially the
6:26Malachi Corley thing of the low aDOT, but he's getting so many of those targets and he's running so many routes due to the Steelers having one of the
6:33highest pass rate over expectations, it's working. He turned 12 targets, 11 catches, 87 yards, and one touchdown. He had five first downs on 11 catches.
6:42Focal point, he gets the uh game-winning touchdown. I think it was in overtime.
6:46He uh they kind of run like a designed look to him in the flat. He scores a touchdown. Huge. They love him. 11
6:52catches, 87 yards is just where it's like, "Okay, this is a bit of a PPR, you know, this is definitely he he's more on the uh
7:00Josh Downs side of the spectrum than he is uh Rashee Rice is what I would say. Like Rashee Rice was a low aDOT guy as well,
7:07but his efficiency stuff was so monstrous that it was fine. This one's a little bit more spooky. Again, I don't want to rain on anybody's parade. Uh if
7:16you grabbed him, you should feel really good about having a startable wide receiver three flex play moving forward, and he's going to be awesome. Uh but
7:22let's just kind of see how this thing uh goes. It It's a little bit of a scam roll. It's a 1.8 yard aDOT. You know
7:28what I mean? Like it's just let's see him play real receiver, but that is in the cards. The 100% he could expand his
7:34role, and then that's where things get really exciting. But even in this specific role, uh I would probably value him like a Josh
7:41Downs who has been really disappointing.
7:42I've definitely prefer Jalen Bernard to Josh Downs, to Casey Concepcion.
7:47Uh I think I would only prefer Cornell Taylor ahead of him. I think even him versus Denzel Boston is close. So, if if
7:53that's kind of a good gauge, like we're talking like mid-tier wide receiver three. That that's great. Uh now, I hate that that came out so negative. I
8:01do want to make it clear. I love Jalen Bernard. Anyone that was watching the RS Dynasty channel, he really popped in our
8:06rookie wide receiver model as well. I'm one of the only people in the space that we talk about the Patreon, the
8:11waiver wire article fab guide. One of the only guys in the space that had him as a 40% fab bid. Uh so much so that one
8:18of my buddies in my home league that uses my stuff outbid me uh with like a 50% bid on Jalen Bernard and then used
8:25that 20 piece against me. So, I love Jalen Bernard.
8:29Uh I'm just not going to hop on here and parade him around as the next great league winner. I think he's solid. I
8:34think he's a single to a double at this point. Home run is certainly in the range of outcomes though. We just have
8:39to really keep an eye on that aDOT every single week. Now, speaking of low aDOT players, Casey Concepcion, he comes back from a
8:46really nasty concussion, six targets in this game, but the aDOT's what's killing him. Four catches, 37 yards. It just isn't really going to cut it. Targets
8:53per route run is great, but when we talk about Casey Concepcion, the issue is similar to Jalen Bernard, it's just that
8:57Jalen Bernard is in a better offense and he's getting a little bit more of a a hyper-targeted role.
9:03These just aren't going to play. 1.18 yards per route run, 5.1% first downs per route run.
9:08It's not going to play. Casey Concepcion is not a guy you want to be starting anytime soon. Denzel Boston, this is
9:13just kind of what it is when you're operating on this low of a targets per route run is he had five targets on a
9:1817-yard aDOT, which is why he can get away with such a low targets per route run, but a high points per game. It's
9:24like if you're going to get few targets, you have the upside so when you come down with those targets, you can get three
9:30catches for 60 yards and a touchdown and really come through in fantasy, but you can also have days like yesterday where
9:35he gets five targets, catches one ball for 15 yards, and that's it. [ __ ] happens at wide receiver. I'm not
9:41panicking on Denzel Boston, but Concepcion definitely more of a stash.
9:44Then we have Carnell Tate come out here.
9:46I'm really juiced up on Carnell Tate.
9:48Now, of course, the thing that sucks so much is the Titans suck. Uh Kim Ward sucks. I know they beat the Colts, but it's the Colts.
9:55Uh This week, he was the wide receiver 22 in usage or no, over the last four weeks, he's been the wide receiver 22 in
10:01usage, the wide receiver 26 in production at 14 points per game.
10:05Amazing considering the environment he's in. 3.18 yards per out run on a 12-yard A dot in this game versus the Colts.
10:12Again, this is huge because my biggest fear with him is that he was going to be Denzel Boston, right?
10:17Again, I I keep on harping on this and I and I hate to bring this up, but when we start to evaluate these guys through the
10:24context of Jeremiah Smith, I mean, I'm sure you guys are watching him every week. I don't have to tell you guys that
10:27Jeremiah Smith is the greatest wide receiver prospect I've ever seen uh or that my spreadsheet have ever seen.
10:32They're across the board, he is the greatest. There is anyone out there who's going to be like, "Oh, oh, oh, hold on now. Hold on now."
10:37He's he is he is the guy. He is number one. Uh number one since Calvin Johnson.
10:43That's not up for debate in terms of uh what I believe in how I've been looking through things. Carnell Tate, though,
10:50it's really tough to evaluate receiver when it's like, "Okay, he's next to the top dog in the draft, right?" But when
10:56you're next to potentially a generational goat tier, you know, the next coming, a guy that I would take first overall in the draft, it's tough.
11:04There like I had a lot of guys in the space that I really like. Uh like Ben Gretch, who I I we've had on the
11:08channel, I like him a lot. Uh Jacob Sanderson. We're really critical of Carnell Tate's per route target earning.
11:14And it's like, we're still really early. So, I'm not taking a victory lap on Carnell Tate.
11:18I'm more so saying it is so so important that this targets per out run number is big for Carnell Tate because when you're
11:23next to Jeremiah Smith, you start to get typecasted as like, "Okay, he's going to go to the NFL. He's going to be a great Robin, probably
11:29never a Batman." Well, it's tough, dude. When you're playing next to the number one guy, like you're you're never going to be the alpha next
11:35to him, but there's no there's no world where he can't go to the NFL and be the top dog, you know? So, I think that that
11:42is in the cards for Carnell Tate, and he showed that. That's what's so exciting is that I thought he was going to maybe
11:46be more like Benzo Boston or Ali Pierce on the downside of things. Like, if he was truly only a Robin, he'd be a
11:5217-yard A dot, 17-16% targets per route run guy, and just a nice field-stretching pure X receiver, but he seems to be more of that, is what I'm
12:02trying to say. 12-yard A dot, he actually had a 43.5% slot rate in this game with a 3-plus yard yards per route
12:09run. That is really, really strong. So, he's getting targets downfield, he's getting targets inside and out, and a 12-yard A dot isn't so far downfield
12:17that he's a field stretcher. It It is alpha receiver territory. So, inside and out, operating right around the first down marker, all of that is perfect.
12:25Four first downs in this game. I am really fired up about Carnell Tate. But, the issue is is I'm really fired up
12:32about him in Dynasty. You probably took him at like the 1.02, the 1.03, 1.04 in Dynasty. He is everything that you paid
12:37for. Now, of course, the issue with him It was a very similar issue to Tederal McMillan last year is you're dealing with the same issue is he can
12:45only go as far as this offense can take him. So, he gets six catches, 70 yards, and a touchdown. And it's really tough
12:51to get more than that when your QB Cam Ward throws for God.
12:55I didn't even think it was going to be that bad when I pulled it up. You must be kidding me. 11 for 22 for 102 yards
13:02and a touchdown in a win.
13:06That is despicable. But, it even It goes to show even more with Carnell Tate had 70 yards and a touchdown when the entire
13:13passing offense was 102 yards and a touchdown. Golly, man. All right.
13:19I'm convinced Carnell Tate's a really good player. Again, for redraft, he is He's right in the same tier of Boston, Jeremy Bernard as like strong wide
13:27receiver three {slash} flex plays.
13:30I mean, that's just alarming. And Kemore, the issue with Kemore is like they're never going to bench him for a Joe Flacco type either, you know? So,
13:37we'll see how that goes. But, if you have a Cornell Tate in dynasty, you should be juiced. Like, these are really, really strong numbers.
13:43Uh especially the the slot rate usage, like him getting moved all around, that is awesome.
13:48Uh okay, let's move on. Let's stop glazing. Okay, we have been We're We're taking our sweet time on this rookie receiver report is what it seems like
13:54here. Uh Jacob Eason, we have this. This was a big story line as well. He comes back from injury, 58% of the routes. Uh
14:01of course, Rashod Bateman gets hurt in this game. So, that definitely does open things up. But, Jacob Eason immediately featured. Five targets, four catches, 40
14:09yards. Uh all four of his catches were for first downs. 1.82 yards per route run in this game. Moderately efficient despite playing next to Tyler Huntley. I
14:16think he's an awesome redraft stash as he gets healthier, as Lamar Jackson enters the lineup. I think Jacob Eason can be a real threat on a given week
14:24just cuz it seems like especially in the week one game, you look back, they were featuring him in the red zone. If he can
14:28kind of get a red zone role and then partner that with like five or so catches a week, Jacob Eason could be a
14:33late season upside guy. 21% targets per route run with a 10% first downs per route run. Uh two really, really strong
14:39numbers. Then, we go to somebody I'm disappointed with. I continue to be disappointed with Mekhi Mews. Uh Tanner McKee, not good. The entire Eagles
14:45offense, not good.
14:47But, this is a guy who continues to run routes, continues to get targets, and it just doesn't really matter. Tanner McKee
14:52had 45 attempts, 215 passing yards, one touchdown. That's usable for a receiver.
14:58Mekhi Mews, six targets on a 5.3 average depth of target. Three catches, 19 yards. He is not a usable player in
15:04fantasy football. And the more and more he does this, the more that all of these are red, the more that I start to sound
15:09the alarms on what this guy was going to be in the NFL. Uh then, we can talk about Malachi Fields. He gets bumped up
15:16cuz I believe Darnell Mooney gets hurt in this game. We'll talk about kind of the J.J. McCarthy experience later. Uh but, Malachi Fields gets more juice
15:23here. He gets eight targets, but he only gets two catches for 19 yards. You can blame that on whoever. Malachi Fields
15:28likely isn't anything all that special.
15:30He's really more of someone that just clears things out for Isaiah Likely and Malik Nabers, but it would be good to
15:35see him be a full-time player if Darnell Mooney is actually hurt. Then we have kind of our grab bag of the rest here.
15:40You have Josh Koevas.
15:43Uh wasn't really familiar with this guy, but Matthew Hiner you can see here left with an uh he missed this week with an injury.
15:49Koevas decent per route stuff. Someone to keep an eye on. He scores the touchdown from Huntley on the first drive, which was interesting. Uh then
15:56you also have Deon Burks. This was a Matt Harmon my guy to to look out for.
16:01Fun player that for his entire college career he was in like the round one, two, three mix and then just had a
16:07really, really poor final season at Oklahoma. You know, Jadon Haselwood goes down. That whole team is really more defensive based, but Deon Burks had NFL
16:15aspirations for a long time and then was one of these guys who fell through the cracks to uh to day three.
16:21This is really we're just talking deep dynasty leagues, but uh 1.81 yards per route run. Like these are good per route metrics, but again on an
16:30extremely extremely small sample. And then Cyrus Allen doesn't make this list cuz he didn't run enough routes, but if you were curious about Cyrus Allen with
16:39the uh Tyquan Thornton and Rashee Rice injuries, we got 13% of the routes for Cyrus Allen. Jalen Royals had 84%. Andrew Armstrong, I
16:48believe out of Arkansas, who played next to Isaac TeSlaa back in the day had 75%.
16:53So Cyrus Allen is buried, but if you want a glimmer of hope, it's that Cyrus Allen despite only having four routes
17:00run had two targets. So that's a 50% targets per route run, but small samples. But it was nice that when he
17:05was running routes they wanted to get him the ball, but Cyrus Allen is still a ways away. But that's just how it is
17:10with the rookie receivers for the Chiefs. Now we have a special I'll I'll honest as well. We don't have like a clean 10 lessons learned here
17:18because we spent a lot of time doing some other stuff here. We're going to have more than 10 takeaways. It's just
17:22not going to be as clean-cut as usual.
17:24Like there's probably going to be like seven timestamps, but I promise we're going to talk through a lot here. I think you guys are going to really like
17:28this. I don't think we're going to do this every single week, but I think like every few weeks as a check-in, let me
17:33know how you guys still feel about this.
17:36The year two and three receivers. I don't have a name for it. Year two and three receivers report is just too
17:41close, but this is like our year two and three receivers check-in here. Uh we're I have things sorted by team here, but
17:48we can sort by Let's actually sort by like points per game. So this is essentially a leaderboard of your year three and year two players. So you have
17:55Bowers, Tedarrell McMillan, Neighbors.
17:57We're sorting by points per game here, by the way. And we can even take route share out if you just kind of want to
18:01see these metrics for now.
18:02Uh it's pretty good. We can kind of see how the tiers are separating, right? We have Brock Bowers, Tedarrell McMillan. I
18:08mean, Bowers is just I mean, my god, dude. Tedarrell McMillan, Malik Neighbors, Jaylen Coker is being a monster this year. Uh of course, you
18:15have your yards per route run, your targets per route run, first downs per route run. All of that is listed. It's
18:20clearly these five guys and then a tier breakdown to Warren. Uh Burden's per route stuff is decent. Uh but we're going to talk about all these guys in
18:27depth here in a second. I just kind of wanted to show you guys what this all looks like. Let's sort back to uh by
18:34team. Let's get our Jeez, let's not show you guys everything that goes on behind the spreadsheets, but now we'll now we'll go
18:43team by team and see what's going on.
18:45First of all, Marvin Harrison Jr. gets traded. And now we have Marv in the London game at the top here. You can see him across the
18:55board. He played 82% of the routes with the Cardinals, gets traded, only plays 25% of the routes, but look, you can throw all these out for
19:03right now. In this game, nine routes he turned into four targets, three catches, 34 yards, a 3.78 yards per route run,
19:11three first downs on those three catches. Those are all monster per route metrics.
19:16I don't know how this shakes up because the issue with the Texans is the most routes getting run right now is Nico
19:22Collins in the low 80 percentile. So like there never even like you see Keon Coleman runs 94%, Roman Wilson 98%. They
19:28don't even have anybody running 98%. I don't know why I said percentile earlier. I just mean like percent.
19:33Uh So it's going to be like Nico in the 80s.
19:37And then they're just so weird because they're so set on Xavier Hutchinson routes, they're so set on Kayshon Boutte routes, they're so set on Jared Wayne a
19:44few routes a game.
19:46Jalen Nowell is really popping off what we'll talk about here in a second. Nico Collins is awesome. Now Marvin Harrison's in the mix. So
19:52I have some concerns about how many routes Marvin Harrison Jr. can actually get up to, but if you guarantee me that
19:59Marvin Harrison Jr. could see 80% plus of the routes, I think that he is going to be a startable flex play, which given
20:05where you drafted him, kind of what the outlook was through four weeks. If you could throw Marvin Harrison in your lineup and feel decent about it, that is
20:12a win. Now when we talk about Nico Collins, down back-to-back down weeks, still running only 80% of the routes. I think that's maybe some to do with
20:20uh injury and just kind of slow playing him. I think there's going to be better days ahead, but I will say I I I I do
20:26want to take a slight L on the trade video I I had him as a trade target saying Marvin Harrison doesn't really
20:30mess with anything. I think C.J. Stroud is playing at such a high level, which he is by the way. Uh three straight
20:35games of 20-plus PPR points for Stroud.
20:38Uh this is a point or this is a stat from J.J. Zachariason saying C.J. Stroud has scored 20-plus fantasy points in
20:44three straight games. He scored 20-plus points in a game just three times all of last season. Now of course, it's a
20:49little bit helped by the rushing touchdown versus the Titans last week for C.J. Stroud. But C.J. Stroud is just balling out of control, throwing the
20:56ball all over the yard. And the Texans at the very least, I'll give them some credit. I am very, very critical of them
21:01because of the wide receiver rotations and everything, but they've at least just accepted this run game sucks. Let CJ Stroud throw the ball as many times
21:10as possible in a given game and he will win you games. He is engineering them to like 30 plus point performances. CJ
21:16Stroud I could I could talk forever about how awesome he has been and because of that we're getting points not only for Nico
21:22but everyone else. I thought maybe that would raise Nico's ceiling but I think it gets offset by how They have the widest route distribution
21:31of anybody in the NFL. It's truly absurd. Uh so then you have Jaylen Knoll who I want to be really excited about
21:35but they just traded for Marvin Harrison so it's tough to get all that juiced up.
21:39You can see him at the top here. Still, you know, running in like the 60% range.
21:42That's not going to be somebody you can confidently start ever. I guess he's a boom-bust like desperation bye week flex is what I'd call Jaylen Knoll right now.
21:49Uh he's not earning targets on a high clip but 2.5 yards per route run uh essentially like 9% first down per route
21:56run. Do I have that as a percentage here?
21:58I do. Let's actually make the first down per route run a percentage. But you guys can get what you guys get what I'm
22:02saying. Uh his per route efficiency is monstrous. I think that he has one of the highest uh yards per target in the
22:08NFL as well. Like essentially if you throw the ball Jaylen Knoll's way, usually an explosive happens. Uh so that is really good but again it's just
22:15really crowded for Jaylen Knoll. Uh and then I think that that kind of does it for the Marv stuff but I will say on the
22:20other side of the Marv deal is you have Michael Wilson. Shout out to JJ Zachariason for his thread every single week here. Kind of showcasing
22:31what the Cardinals have been without Marv so far. Arizona ran out of 13 personnel on 41% of their offensive plays this week since trading Marvin
22:37Harrison Jr. They've had a 38.3% rate.
22:4013 personnel just meaning three tight ends, one wide receiver. So like a really heavy uh personnel. The Rams are second over the last two weeks at 31%.
22:47So they're really leaning in to those McVay roots from LaFleur.
22:51I would love if JJ uh offered like an EPA per play on those plays. I don't know if it's efficient for them or not
22:57but it is the way that they're leaning.
22:58Usually heavier personnel does benefit the wide receiver because then Michael Wilson isn't competing for targets with other wide receivers. He's competing
23:05with targets for, you know, of course Trey McBride, of course like I guess Elijah Higgins a little bit, but then like a blocking tight end that doesn't
23:10matter. And then maybe even the running back is is blocking. So it's a lot less competition. Michael Wilson in two games
23:16without Marvin Harrison Jr. 13.4 expected PPR points per game, 17.5% target share. In four games with him, 10.3 expected PPR points per game, 29.7%
23:25target share. He is inefficient, he's not getting as much volume. It's a two-game sample, so I want to see how things shake out, but
23:32it's certainly not good. My take at the beginning of it was like the whole reason Michael Wilson was a thing last year is because Marvin
23:38Harrison Jr. was hurt. So I understand the idea of like him running clear out routes and being a decoy, but that was
23:43never part of the equation last year.
23:44But I suppose this year it's a new coaching staff, it's no longer Drew Petzing, it's maybe a different role for Michael Wilson, maybe Marvin Harrison
23:50Jr. did affect things. At the very least Michael Wilson can't find his efficiency right now, which could always bounce back, or it could have just been that
23:57last year was a bit of a flash in the pan. We're going to kind of go around here as we talk about these year two and
24:02three receivers. Let's get down to our Jaguars receivers at the top.
24:06You can see here, I really want to talk about Travis Hunter. First, selfishly for believing in him in him as a wide
24:13receiver talent, he had a blow-up game in London last year, bye week, tears his knee, and then everyone laughs, "You're an idiot, Travis Hunter was never going
24:20to be a good receiver." Now, this year I was never really touting him because I knew he was going to play defense, but
24:25at the very least I I reject the idea that Travis Hunter is not a good receiver, or never had a chance to be a
24:30good receiver. I'll make that bet a billion times. I do think that he is that good at playing receiver. In literally just seven routes in this game
24:38against the Texans defense four catches, 59 yards, and a touchdown.
24:43He then goes on defense and picks off C.J. Stroud.
24:47Awesome player.
24:49Awesome player.
24:50For fantasy, you can maybe stash him. I know in my deep leagues like FFPC, where it's like a 20-round league, I'll be
24:55stashing him there. In your home league with like six bench spots, you could maybe talk me into it. Like there I think that really the case for
25:03stashing him or stashing a guy like Josh Cameron, who I really like as well, is the idea that Brian Thomas could get
25:09traded. We'll segue right into that where Brian Thomas has now a decreased route share in three straight weeks. I think it is malpractice from these guys
25:16if they continue to not trade him away.
25:18They were idiots if they saw this during training camp and they were like, "Huh, I don't think Brian Thomas going to be a
25:22big part of this offense." Well, when wide receivers are getting traded at a premium and you could have gotten a day
25:26two pick, you trade him then. You don't now. I mean they're going to struggle to get a day two pick and that's now the
25:32issue. It's like the sunk cost fallacy.
25:33You can either let him rot away on your roster and never get anything for him or you can trade him away but 70% 59%
25:4030% had a really weird ugly drop early in this game and then on top of that like last week he dropped a touchdown
25:46and then this week I don't know that he registered a single snap or route in the second half of this game. He is just
25:50completely out of this offense, Brian Thomas. He is somebody I'm only holding on to him in the hopes he gets traded.
25:56So I haven't cut him yet, but if you need to cut him, he certainly is on the block. Now moving on from that,
26:03this is actually a great time to talk about the Bears, which I we have up top here. I hope that this isn't too much on
26:08the screens for you guys to to read into. I can maybe zoom in. Uh yeah, let's zoom in like this. I think
26:14that that might be better for you guys.
26:16Uh so, you can see at the top who I'm talking about. Of course, I'm talking about the the three Chicago Bears. Now, uh Caleb Williams
26:24works back. I do want to say I don't think Caleb Williams is 100% himself just yet. He has a 5.9 yard ADoT this
26:30season. He was at 9.2 last year. So he's not pushing the ball down field at all.
26:34And then on top of that they're being very conservative in running the ball inside the 10 yard line. That's how you
26:37get these De'Andre Swift touchdowns.
26:39Cole Kmet and Robert Tonyan were lucky enough to catch a touchdown, but that was really it in this game, I believe,
26:43for passing touchdowns. Uh and that kind of speaks to Romeo Doubs, who it's good to see him run all these routes, but his
26:49per route stuff, his production, all of that is really poor. It just is. Rome Odunze on a per route basis has been
26:55fine this year. You can of course blame that on quarterback play. He looks more like Loveland than Luther Burden, who Luther Burden obviously gets some help
27:01as well, where like he runs less routes and just when he's out there, he gets targeted. So, it's tough to be like, well,
27:08Luther Burden is that much better. But, he is that much better because even on a low route share, low participation, all
27:12of that, he is almost doubling up the production of Odunze and Loveland in PPR leagues. Now, what I'm trying to say here
27:21is Caleb going from a 9.2 yd ADoT to a 5.9 yd ADoT means Odunze as the perimeter receiver leading the team in
27:28ADoT usually, that's a really tough marriage of skill set. So, I think Odunze as of right now is a sacrificial kind of like decoy
27:34receiver. Maybe that reverts back if Caleb gets a little bit more comfortable pushing the ball down field, but this was always the issue. So, for right now,
27:41Rome Odunze is like a boom bust flex play at best. Luther Burden, I get people are a little bit concerned that
27:45like 44% of the routes is so low, but they use him sparingly when they put him on the field, they use him. So, it's
27:51tough to complain about his second best game of the year in terms of output at 17.5 PPR points in his second best game
27:58of the year in terms of targets with eight and then his highest yardage total at 95. And I think that also coincides
28:04with Caleb Williams being a little bit more of a check down friendly quarterback right now. So, I think it's all going to work itself out in the
28:09wash, but we're still kind of waiting for one of these guys to have a true monster breakout league winner season and that
28:16might just not happen. We'll see how things go. I do think that Caleb Williams still has a long way to go in
28:21terms of like getting back to himself as a quarterback in terms of pushing the ball down field and having like monster
28:26passing days. So, I'm not panicking on anyone. I I just think at this point, Luther Burden is a fine wide receiver
28:32three, Rome Odunze is a boom bust flex play, and Loveland can get back in your tight end spot. If you have no better
28:36options, Loveland has been absolutely fine. Like literally the last three weeks, 11.7, down week at 3.9, and then this week seven targets, six catches, 65
28:45yd and a touchdown. The per route stuff has been bad, but I do think now that he's back with Caleb, these should start
28:50to climb. Now, after that, we can talk about Malik Nabers and J.J.
28:55McCarthy is a big one to talk about. And of course, I can just highlight how dang special Malik Nabers is, even coming off
29:02the ACL. I mean, these are just absurd numbers. 29.2% targets per route run, 17 points per game in a year he's coming
29:09off of a brutal ACL tear. Yards per route 2.36. Like these are all just elite numbers across the board. He has
29:15been awesome the last 4 weeks. He's been like a 20-plus point per game player. It really just comes down to J.J. McCarthy
29:22coming in. Now, I will say of course, J.J. McCarthy comes in this game no prep for the other team and still kind of
29:28sustains drives. He looks good. This is from Ryan Keith here kind of showing the split of things between the two quarterbacks where Nabers goes 38%
29:36target share, 70 yards. Likely 30% target share, 55 yards. That comes down with McCarthy where we see a 29% target share for Malik Nabers, which is still
29:44five. It's just not as hyper-targeted between him and Isaiah Likely. Like he gets a touchdown, but only 17% target share, but it's a really small sample.
29:51It's like a half of a football game. I wouldn't go crazy. I still think Nabers and Likely are going to be the focal
29:56points. I would just be concerned full week of prep what J.J. McCarthy looks like, if it's going to be usable. Again, I just keep
30:05coming back to the idea that Justin Jefferson is the same talent that Malik Nabers is, and he was unusable last year. Maybe that turns around, but the
30:13only way it turns around is if J.J.
30:14McCarthy finds more success with like Matt Nagy than he did with KOC. I find that to be really a really crazy
30:21proposition, but Nabers is so hot right now, and McCarthy's young enough you can buy into the potential that I got questions of like, are you looking to
30:28sell Nabers? It's like, I just don't think I think everyone knows it's a clear sell window. It's like, "Oh, J.J.
30:32McCarthy came back in, you want to sell Nabers now?" You're going to have to sell him for 80 cents on the dollar. If
30:36you want to buy him, he's coming off four straight 20-point performances. I think at this point, if you have Nabers, you hold them if you
30:42don't, you don't.
30:44Uh we can also now talk about Keon Coleman, man. Keon Coleman, we talked about these year three receivers, Keon Coleman is up there in terms of
30:52guys that I'm excited about. Like in terms of year three receivers, I'm trying to think of like who's in this class. I want to say that's Neighbors.
30:57Yeah, that's Neighbors. That is Ladd.
31:00Keon is here. Of course, you can go down to your Roman Doomsdays of the world, Xavier Worthys of the world.
31:05All of that in terms of year three receivers, Keon Coleman is decent here.
31:08We look at his stuff. He's He's wrapping up by routes. Now, of course, big disclaimer, this has come with DJ Moore.
31:15DJ Moore not playing in this game. They go into bye, DJ Moore will be back. But still, the per route matters kind of
31:20weeds some of that out. And I mean, a 10% plus first downs per route run, 1.93 yards per route run. I mean, these are
31:25all solid. Keon Coleman was legitimately left for dead as like, is this guy even going to be in the NFL for a while? Like
31:31if you can remember this, other guys in this draft class like Xavier Leggette, who are just pure zeros at this point.
31:36Keon Coleman, he's making a case as a real guy in the NFL in one of the stronger seasons for that 2024 class that had a lot of hype,
31:44right? That was your Malik Neighbors, Brian Thomas, Marvin Harrison Jr.
31:49Obviously, Malik Neighbors has been awesome, but like past that, Ladd McConkey kind of a lost season. Keon Coleman has touchdowns in three straight
31:55games. He had 100 plus yards against New England, which we just saw Garrett Wilson struggle with. So, it's interesting. I think he's a good waiver
32:01wire pick up you can pick up and stash through the bye week and kind of see how his role shakes out when DJ Moore is
32:08back. Then we can go to the Carolina Panthers. Of course, Jaylen Coker comes back. And sadly, this is kind of what it
32:12is.
32:13I think it's both exciting and disappointing here. Jaylen Coker is an awesome player. This is a stat from JJ Zachariason. Jaylen Coker saw 13 targets
32:21to Terrace Marshall's nine targets in week six. In Coker and T-Mac's last nine games together where they've played, Coker has one more target than McMillan.
32:28Coker has scored 14.1 points per game to Terrace Marshall's 10.1. This week, Jaylen Coker was the wide receiver 20 on wide receiver for usage. Terrace
32:36Marshall was the wide receiver for 21 on wide receiver for 21 usage. So, they're both just strong wide receiver twos moving forward. Uh but, they probably
32:43cannibalize each other and namely Coker cannibalizing Tedarrell McMillian from being a true wide receiver one point per game level breakout. But, two really
32:52good players. Sadly, we can move down to the Cleveland uh player in Harold Fannin who I love.
32:58His routes are trending down. I'm not too worried about that, but 0.8 yards per route run is just not going to cut
33:03it.
33:04It just simply isn't going to cut it.
33:05Like, these per route numbers just aren't good enough. He's not getting targeted enough. He's not efficient enough. Uh I I start to wonder if a lot
33:11of his success last year was due to Isaiah Bond and Jerry Jeudy and them just having nobody else around them.
33:16They bring in a new coach. They bring in new players in the passing game between Denzel Boston, between Casey Concepcion, and Harold Fannin is
33:25all of a sudden a guy you can stream and play matchups.
33:29Like, there's going to be a week where you're going to be like, man, should I play Hunter Henry or Harold Fannin? I
33:32think that that's kind of where he's at at this point. We'll see if he can bounce back, but that's where it is when
33:37he he is a PPR based guy in a Brown scheme and a 16% targets per route run just isn't going to cut it if you're a
33:43PPR uh tight end. Then, we can talk about the Golden Boy. Someone I was I was dead wrong about. You guys know me, I'm
33:49usually all over the young breakout wide receivers. I did not see it with Matthew Golden. I did not. I wasn't a fan of him
33:55in college. Then, he did nothing in year one. I should have taken it more seriously kind of his uh He had He had a couple things going for
34:01him.
34:02One, uh his playoff game was his best game. He looked awesome in that game. He scored a touchdown in that game. Uh
34:11and then also, just the idea of a year two breakout candidate. I love Jordan Love. I was all over Christian Watson,
34:17uh Jayden Reed, and then to a lesser extent Tucker Kraft. Matthew Golden was a guy I was like, okay, I think Matthew
34:21Golden is just going to run the clearout routes kind of like what Roman Dunesday's doing for the Bears. I assumed that of Matthew Golden. No, he
34:27is like legitimately a focal point. He looks awesome. He looks like early career Stefon Diggs. He looks like early career Calvin Ridley as one of these
34:34like three-level separators with juice.
34:36I know he had some drop issues. I really do not care. When you're When you're scoring 16.8 points per game, 27%
34:41targets per route run, two plus I mean, those are awesome numbers. Like he's He is not that far off like T and
34:48Neighbors, right? Like Matthew Golden 16.8 to Malik Neighbors 17.1. 27% targets per route run to 29%. He beats him in yards per route run. He matches
34:56him in first downs per route run. I'm not suggesting that Matthew Golden is a Malik Neighbors level talent, but the way he's producing right now, he
35:02deserves to go from like, "Oh, Matthew Golden's having a little cute breakout."
35:05to like, "Matthew Golden is here and he's doing it next to Christian Watson."
35:08So, uh fully fully get my respect uh for Matthew Golden. Then we go to the Indianapolis guys.
35:16This one's a little bit sadder.
35:18Uh guys being Tyler Warren. He didn't play this week. Of course, they fired the GM. Deon Jones has been unusable.
35:24Tyler Warren 14 points per game, not bad at all in year uh two here. 22% targets per route run. He's getting volume. He's
35:29getting production. He is not efficient.
35:31The offense kind of just sucks here in Indianapolis and he is just kind of a victim of that. Tyler Warren, I think
35:37that he's fine, but him, Loveland, and Fanning have all kind of disappointed here in fantasy football for anybody. I mean, I was definitely I
35:46I I I I don't think I had a strong take on like I I liked Bowers a lot. I wasn't huge on Trey McBride. And then like
35:52Warren, Fanning, Loveland. I of course love Loveland, but Warren and Fanning I was kind of lukewarm on. But there definitely was a uh why take Trey
35:59McBride and Brock Bowers early when you can get Loveland, Warren, or Fanning.
36:04And that is looking rough at this point.
36:07And then of course, the Josh Downs thing. It just isn't going to happen in this offense with Deon Jones. It's just
36:11so bad. They lose to the Titans. You get eight targets for Josh Downs, but they end up being four catches for 40 yards.
36:17Tyler Warren not in this game. And at a certain point, we like guys making targets available in passing offenses, but if it comes at the expense of
36:25overall efficiency and scoring, it is not all that helpful. Uh then we can talk about Xavier Worthy. Nothing great.
36:32Uh he's just getting a lot of targets this year, but he's not really earning them. But, when we have a game like this
36:37one, where Tyquan Thornton and Rashee Rice are both out, and he runs 90% plus of the routes, seven catches for 73
36:42yards from Xavier Worthy, where you drafted him, that is going to play every single time. For the Chargers, this is just a lost season. It's at least
36:48somewhat uh at least somewhat encouraging that Ladd McConkey has green across the board into the targets per route run, yards per
36:55route run, first downs per route run. He is a good player. It's just a lost season for him between concussion, foot
37:00injury, rib injury. Uh and then on top of that, they are Owen six, Justin Herbert's playing terrible ball, and McDaniel overthrew the entire offense.
37:07You can say with Trey Harris, you know, he has some green here. So, he's hurt, but when he comes back, that should be
37:12interesting. And then Gadsden just looks fully dead. Uh his route share got taken down. I think Charlie Kolar is running more of them. Uh just across the board,
37:19these are not usable numbers. Uh then we can talk about Brock Bowers. He had his like first down week back from injury.
37:26Don't read into it. I mean, 98% of the routes for a tight end, I cannot stress enough how bonkers that is. 20 points
37:33per game as a tight end, outscoring everybody on this list. Everything green across the board. Brock Bowers is that guy. In a redraft league, there are
37:42maybe only five players I would want more than him. He is everything that was promised. Uh A.J. Brown returns.
37:50So, we can talk about the New England guys. Both Chisholm and Kyle Williams.
37:54You know, Kyle Williams actually ramped up to 60% of the routes in this one. Uh I think that I I guess that kind of
37:59reads to me that Kyle Williams is the Romeo Dobbs replacement. But, I think every New England receiver outside of Dobbs, but Dobbs is hurt, is kind of
38:05dead with A.J. Brown back. We see these routes kind of crater. Uh A.J. Brown, I understand that he had drops in a
38:10frustrating game, but I wouldn't think about it too much. If I had A.J. Brown on my team right now, I would love it. 10 targets at this point,
38:18you get Chicago next week, and this is a team that is finally hitting their stride. Drake May, over the last 3 weeks
38:23has actually looked good at football.
38:24So, you get A.J. Brown at the perfect time. We're like through 3 weeks the the the alarms were sounding on Drake May,
38:30and now we get 269 yards, 374 yards, 235 yards, and three plus passing touchdowns in all of those games. He is all the way
38:40uh back, Drake May. So, with Drake May being back, adding A.J. Brown to the mix is perfect. He is somebody that has been
38:47one of the most efficient wide receivers in the NFL. I am not going to freak out over him dropping balls in his first
38:51game back from a major injury. And then our last player we'll talk about is Emeka Egbuka check in.
38:57Why do you see that he's commanding targets, right? 22.7% targets per route run is one of the higher numbers on this
39:02list, right? He's between I guess Ethan Kizor was up here, but we're talking, you know, Tyler Warren, Ladd McConkey.
39:06Uh he is literally just below Teetero McMillan here.
39:09I'm not going to hold I I'll hold it to him a little bit, the yards per route run and the first downs per route run
39:13being pretty weak. But, Baker was terrible for the first few weeks. He gets hurt, then we get Jaylen Daniels.
39:20So, he's not really even playing with a real quarterback. He's finding ways to score points. He's like taking end-arounds for touchdowns. I want to
39:26see what it looks like when Baker Mayfield is healthy here, but he's found a way to deliver 17 PPR points this
39:31week, 17 PPR points last week. He had 16 targets in this game versus Steelers. It just comes down to not having a bad
39:39quarterback. Like he he turned 16 targets into seven catches, 48 yards, and a touchdown. That's not on him.
39:44That's on Jaylen Daniels. Uh so, I do think that Egbuka is going to be in a better spot. Now, moving right away from
39:50that, we have some other stuff I want to hit on, which again, I don't know how I'm going to count these because those first
39:55two, they're technically only two takeaways, but there are billion takeaways. So, we're not going to have a complete 10 here. But, next thing I want
40:01to talk about is Kyle Pitts back? He gets back-to-back weeks of 70% plus of the routes, back-to-back weeks of 20% target shares, back-to-back weeks of top
40:1112 finishes. Is he back? Well, I'll say he's back on the menu as like a high-end tight end two in that we just talked
40:16about Harold Fanning, Hunter Henry, Juwan Johnson, Pat Freiermuth, like Brenton Strange, this jumble of tight ends after the elite ones up top. Kyle
40:23Pitts is absolutely in that conversation. Now, I do think that Drake London is going to have his days. I think that Bijan Robinson not doing
40:30anything in this game will not be the norm. So, I don't know. I think I wouldn't go crazy about Kyle Pitts, but
40:35he certainly needs to be rostered and he certainly can be in your tight end spot week to week given matchups or your bye
40:41weeks or whatever. But, I would not get too over my skis when it comes to Kyle Pitts. Now, we can talk about the new look Eagles,
40:51of course.
40:52We have Jalen Hurts. Really sad situation, really tough situation. He gets a blood clot, it moves to his lungs, he's out for the season. We get
40:59Tanner McKee. Tanner McKee again, like 40-plus pass attempts, 200-plus passing yards. That's all you could really ask for. DeVonta Smith dominates targets in
41:06this one. I think he gives you a fine week, right? Yeah, yeah, 20.5 PPR points, 14 targets, seven catches, 75 yards and a touchdown. He has had two
41:14games now of 13 targets and 14 targets.
41:17DeVonta Smith is going to be fine. It just does suck that like, I don't know, it's a downgrade from Jalen Hurts from a
41:24scoring environment perspective, but I do think he's just going to get a lot of like garbage time touches here and end
41:29up being a really strong wide receiver play. And then on top of that, Dallas Goedert. Like they're both just getting targeted a lot.
41:37I think Tanner McKee is going to do just fine. I I'd say the only downside is if they decide to see what they have in
41:42Joe Milton or Cole Payton, the like rushing quarterback prospect out of North Dakota State. But, if they just roll with Tanner McKee, this is a pretty
41:51awesome spot for both of them. Dallas Goedert gets nine targets in week five, eight targets this week. Both players usable and strong starts moving forward.
42:00Let me talk about the Broncos offense.
42:02The Broncos offense is just an absolute mess. This is from JJ Zachariason again.
42:06Bo Nix has 4.9 air yards per attempt so far among the 338 quarterback season with 100 or more pass attempts from weeks 1
42:14through 6 since 2016, that is the lowest yards per attempt in terms of air yards out of all of them. JK Dobbins has been
42:20terrible, uh but he has been getting all of the work. Then on top of that, RJ Harvey has seen at least four targets in all but
42:27one game this year. He's getting a lot of targets. He looks good. They refuse to use him between the tackles. And I
42:31say all this to say that I think this is kind of opening the door so that if RJ Harvey can't find any efficiency
42:39between the tackles, which he did have six carries for 25 yards and a touchdown. That's a four plus yards per carry number, but Sean Payton does not
42:45respect RJ Harvey between the tackles.
42:47Uh JK Dobbins just continues to kind of it The amount of first-and-10 runs that go for two yards or one yard from JK
42:53Dobbins is borderline unacceptable. I I have to I have to think at a certain point JK Dobbins is getting the call in
42:58the huddle and he's like, "Y'all are still giving me 15 plus touches in this game?" Like I've been useless out here, but uh that's where
43:05they're at. They're playing not to lose.
43:07They're playing ugly football. This defense is too good. Uh Jaylen Waddle is a boom-bust flex option moving forward.
43:12Like I would put him in that tier we talked about earlier of like your Carnell Tate, Denzel Boston, Jeremy Bernards. Sadly, that's where Jaylen
43:18Waddle is at this point. Over 63% of Jaylen Waddle's targets have gone under seven air yards from a J.J. Zachariason.
43:23Over his four seasons leading up to this one, his lowest mark within that statistic was 46%. Waddle hasn't seen an end zone target yet this year, either.
43:29It's a terrible role. They're overthinking themselves. Bo Nix is a shell of himself. They are just doing the bare minimum on offense just to get
43:36bailed out by their defense. Now, we move on to a sad, sad example of the rookie running back carousel. Uh this is one of the worst rookie running
43:47back carousel I can ever remember.
43:49Jeremiah Love rests this week, which I actually kind of like, but it is making it so he has been a pretty brutal pick
43:56uh in the third round here so far. But I don't hate the idea of him resting up and then being better, more efficient,
44:03having more explosive runs. He has not been an explosive back this year. Uh he's been more of a steady success rate
44:08guy, which is fine. But, the idea here is that he gets healthy over the next couple of weeks, comes back. Hopefully,
44:13he only misses this week and then like another week. Maybe he misses three in a row. I could see it I could see Jamaal
44:19Love being a league winner down the stretch.
44:22But, we're now like the fact that they couldn't just like shut him out shut him down out the gate. We're now in a spot
44:27where he is not paying off where you drafted him, where we drafted him. And now we're in jeopardy of like him coming back and making enough of an
44:38impact so that any of it was worth it.
44:40Uh so, just something to think about. Uh if you're in a tough spot where you're two and four or one and five, you might
44:44have to trade Jamaal Love uh for whatever you can get at this point. But, also think if you hold, he can figure
44:50stuff out down the stretch. This is at least a Cardinals team that's competent.
44:53They beat the Rams. They've had some decent performances here and there. Uh I do think things can get better for Jamaal Love, but this is one of the
44:59darker days of being a Jordan Love owner. It's like both good and bad that Tyler Allgeier was so bad in this game.
45:05It's like, "Okay, uh Jamaal Love will come back and he'll just straight up be the guy." But, then we also have some
45:10concerns that like is Bam Knight now going to make this a split where Bam Knight uh had some explosives in this
45:16game. He actually looked pretty decent.
45:18He had 15 carries for 80 yards in this game, two catches, 18 yards, 11 PPR points. I think funny enough, I think
45:24the Bam Knight role is actually like the Jamaal Love role where he just takes on uh like I said like 15 carries
45:31and does that. Allgeier definitely had more carries though, like 53% of the rush attempts. I think that that's not what they're looking for from Allgeier.
45:36But, Allgeier was like utterly useless uh and somebody that I I think it almost exposed him as like I I can't believe
45:42they would give any touches to this guy.
45:43He had 18 carries for 38 yards in this game. He has been brutal. This has been He He's on the year he's at 2.96 yards
45:51per carry. Uh so, I think it's honestly like decent news. I actually don't hate this, fellas. We get Jamaal Love miss against
45:58the Rams, miss against Denver, and then get Jamaal Love in there on the road verse the Cowboys. I think that that
46:05would be perfect. If we get the Jeremiah Love pop-off game in week eight, and then we just roll that on through.
46:10Um I would really like that. And then he gets a game against the Jets.
46:14In New Orleans verse Las Vegas for the final three games, which is a good stretch. But, the clock's ticking. Like Jeremiah Love uh has to make an impact
46:22here at some point. All he got was week three. And that was it. Now, the rest of the rookie receiver or rookie running
46:28back carousel, nothing crazy here. I will say Mike Washington, he sets career highs in snap share, rush share, route share, inside
46:35the five rush attempt share. He had nine carries, 43 yards. He had a catch for 7 yards. Jente had 10 carries, 22 rushing
46:42yards and a touchdown. Four catches, 36 receiving yards. He had 15 PPR points, Jente. But, he hasn't had a four or
46:48better yards per carry since week one verse Miami. I think work is going to continue to flow to Mike Washington.
46:53Jente, I'm a little bit spooked on it at this point. He has a good role where he's still getting the goal line work.
46:57He's still getting the receiving work.
46:58But, the undisputed bell cow stuff for Jente is slowly slipping away due to the injury stuff, due to Mike Washington being a good back in his own right. Uh
47:09and then of course, we kind of hinted at it with the JK Dobbins stuff, is that JK Dobbins has been so poor
47:16that Justice Hill is not on this list.
47:19But, I think the minute Justice Hill is back, that between the tackles role that JK Dobbins has right now, Justice Hill
47:23could definitely make a play to take that from Dobbins and be the guy that they're giving 15 carries to. So, I
47:29think Justice Hill needs to be rostered everywhere. Now, to finish everything up here, let's talk about some messy backfields around the league. We can
47:37talk about uh we're going to go to the Fantasy Life Utilization Report.
47:41Definitely check them out. This is Dwayne McFarland's tool over on Fantasy.
47:44You can see it up top, Fantasy Life. Uh they are awesome. Now, let's see uh let's kind of bounce around the league here. Let's
47:51start out with Seattle. We just talked about the uh Broncos game. We can go here to Seattle. Uh of course, when we
47:57all thought it was Emmanuel Wilson week, they come out here and they give George Holani most of the snaps. They still
48:02give Wilson the rush attempts, but Holani ends up with 50% of the routes. He ends up with the inside the five rush attempt. He ends up with a
48:08touchdown. He looked like Marshawn Lynch out there. Like he was actually amazing. Then we can bounce around to the Steelers. This one, of course,
48:15is tough. It breaks my heart on one hand because Jaylen Warren only gives you 9.8 PPR points, but the usage wasn't terrible.
48:2371 usage score here. It was a 75-25 split by the snaps. Like a 60-40 split in terms of rush attempts. 55% of the
48:31routes is still amazing. It just so happened that when Rico Dowdle ran his route, he got touches. But in terms of
48:35the rush attempt share, like this is still a good split. I honestly just think the Bucks were a tough defense for
48:39them. I wouldn't I wouldn't be too spooked. Jaylen Warren got the inside the five rush attempt as well.
48:44Uh it's not amazing, but it's not time to panic yet on Jaylen Warren. It just makes it so like maybe Jaylen Warren could have kept like a
48:54really crazy role and been an RB1, but I would know how to still have Jaylen Warren in that like high-end RB2 like
48:59D'Andre Swift, Chuba Hubbard, Bucky Irving range, which I think is still a fine range for him to be. Then we talk about the Giants
49:06running backs. I mean, this was crazy.
49:08It's one thing to report like, all right, we're going to see more Najee and less Scat Abboo. Well, instead, Najee gets a 16% snap share. Scat Abboo 9%.
49:16Najee gets a 22% rush attempt share. I don't know. I think that the offense is so bad.
49:23Tracey, of course, gets a touchdown. He gets the inside the five attempt and he gets an explosive on one of the the
49:27swing plays in the passing game. I don't know that I'm fully like I don't know that I'm like, all right, let's go now.
49:34I will say we're we're going to have Najee Harris and Taiwan Tracey as guys to add off of waivers.
49:39And I guess Devin Singletary, like you might as well own one of these guys, but I don't know that it'll ever be clear
49:44who to start. Pretty wild for Scat Abboo. I mean, you're not dropping him, but he is now firmly not a guy going in
49:49your lineup until this changes, which is really upsetting. Then we have the Jaguars.
49:55One of Tuas' worst usages in terms of like snap share, rush attempt share, all of that, but 59% of the routes, scored a
50:01touchdown, 24.7% PPR point or 24.7 PPR points. I am not in the slightest concerned about rush attempt share kind of squeezing back towards Chris
50:09Rodriguez, but Tua looked great. He scored fantasy points. It is what it is.
50:14Then you have the New England Patriots.
50:15Of course, Traveon Henderson fumbles in this game. What ends up happening is, of course, Ramondre gets the lion's share of things, but Ke'Shawn Keyner ended up
50:23having a lot of touches in this game. He had 11 rush attempts to Ramondre's 14. Ke'Shawn Keyner got a lot of work here, almost as like a spit in
50:32the face to Henderson, and he honestly started getting like a hot hand treatment, where Keyner just kept on falling forward and getting first downs,
50:37and they're like, "All right, we're just going to roll with Ke'Shawn Keyner here." So, in a game where you thought that Ramondre was going to be an awesome
50:43start versus the Jets, he comes out here and does absolutely nothing. But I will say I still feel fine about Ramondre,
50:48but Henderson is now firmly in the doghouse on this team. Then we can talk about the Chicago Bears.
50:55This one was weird. At a certain point, Swift just stopped getting carries. I don't know if he was in a doghouse. I
50:59don't think he fumbled, but late in the maybe they're trying to preserve him, but late in this game, Roschon got a lot
51:03of work. But you can see, even in like a weird 60-40 split, this offense is so good, the role is so good, 60% of the
51:08routes is really good, that he ends up with 23 PPR points and a really strong utilization score here, which again, this is just a score that the
51:16utilization report pulls together based on all of these metrics in front of them. We can talk about the Browns. This was a tricky one, where Judkins ends up
51:22not playing. We get the most from Ke'Shawn Keyner, but it was like a split where Ke'Shawn Keyner is, you know, running a ton of routes, but Estime is
51:30more of a between-the-tackles grinder.
51:31He gets the end of the five attempts. I mean, it's ugly all around, but if you started either of these guys, I mean, if
51:36you if you started Ke'Shawn Keyner and got 9.5, you're actually you're you're celebrating.
51:41Then we can go to the Saints.
51:43Kendre Miller kind of took over here.
51:45Sadly, uh thought it was going to be more of a Kendre game than Kamara game. Kamara ended up looking like vintage Kamara uh
51:52on his touches. He made them worth it where he gets four targets, seven carries. He has some explosives. I think he scored a touchdown. Kendre Miller
51:58though continues to kind of ramp up in terms of the rush attempt share. Like if I go to the game logs here, Kendre
52:04Miller continues to get which by the way, this tool like I don't I'm not sponsored by Fantasy Life, but they are
52:09uh awesome. This is the stuff I'm looking through every single week. We can go here to Kendre Miller and see that he goes from this is now a career
52:16high. So he goes from 26% or 19% 26% 30% to 46% of the snaps. And now this is back-to-back weeks at 55% or more of the
52:25rush attempts. Of course, I think they have one more game and then they go on bye. So ETN is due back very
52:31soon.
52:33But in the meantime Kendre Miller can get you some points. Uh we can talk about uh Kyren as well. This seemed to
52:39be like a down Kyren game where Kyren was like upset after the game. Yeah, he only plays he only gets 40 he only gets
52:4550% of the rush attempts. He only gets I mean 71% of the snaps isn't terrible, but the touches weren't distributed the
52:51way that he would have liked I guess.
52:52Yeah, he only had 15 opportunities to Corum's 11 opportunities. I think that that is certainly something that hasn't been happening all season. We look here
53:00in terms of the game logs like Kyren has been getting a lot of a lot of work recently. Like still, you know, he's
53:04been at 70% plus the last four games here, but this rush attempt share was the lowest that it was since week two.
53:11Uh and then that was that's kind of it I guess. I guess he just didn't get enough rush attempts. But the issue is that the
53:16Rams just weren't really moving the ball either. Uh then we can talk about the Texans.
53:21So we get a game without David Montgomery. You get Woody Marks in there a bunch, but Juwan Johnson scores like a
53:27long explosive touchdown. He's a fun player. I want to say he was out of Louisville. Juwan Johnson's probably going to be a waiver wire pick up for us
53:33this week. He ended up being He looked like the better back between the two, but Woody Marks of course got the nod as
53:39the starter. Both ended up inside the top 24 running backs this week. The role's better for Woody Marks, but I do
53:44think Jawoyn Jordan, if he's going to be the most efficient back of the bunch, could carve something out. We can talk
53:49about how the Eagles shook out without Saquon, but I do think Saquon will be back. It was the Damien Pierce show the
53:54entire time. 15 PPR points uh was an absolute scam, but you take that. And then more of the Chargers. More of the
54:01Chargers is doing the same [ __ ] Uh I guess like Hampton led the way for the first time in a little bit, but just
54:06none of it matters. None of it matters.
54:07The Chiefs are a tough opponent, no doubt, but none of it matters. It's like a clear three-way split. They all suck
54:12in their own right. Uh the Chargers are just an absolute mess. I'm trying to think if I missed any of these
54:17backfields here. Uh people wanted me to talk about Braelon Allen as well.
54:20Braelon Allen has looked awesome. I am concerned as a Breece guy that when Breece Hall comes back, this becomes a lot more even than we would have
54:26thought. Uh not like the craziest game of all time, but he did have some nice explosives, some good efficiency. Braelon Allen looks to be
54:33like a strong running back.
54:36And then I don't think there's anything else for me to look at. Giants, of course. Cowboys.
54:40Yeah, I think that's going to do it. I guess we we might as well take a peek on the Bucs.
54:45How did Bucky Irving Oh Oh, wow, that's actually a That's actually uh because of No Shawn Tucker, that's as good as that
54:50gets. This team desperately and I Jaylen Daniels has been respectable. He beats the Cowboys on primetime, but this team desperately needs Baker Mayfield uh back
54:58and playing competent football uh because this is as good as it gets from a usage standpoint for Bucky Irving, but it just isn't doesn't matter if they're
55:05never going to have an inside the five rush or any of that. So, uh yeah, 19 carries for Bucky Irving. It's just it
55:12has to be better in terms of the quarterback play there, but that's going to do it. That is our entire fantasy football takeaways for week six
55:21heading into week seven. Uh of course, it was a little bit different. It wasn't like 10 clear takeaways. I don't know
