0:00So, first up, Devon Achane, ECR has him
0:02as the running back seven, my running
0:04back 12. This is currently my largest
0:07early round stance against the market
0:09this season, and he was the first player
0:12added to the Shyaway list. I just have
0:14some concerns with both his floor and
0:16his ceiling this year. The Dolphins were
0:19bad last season, but Achane was still
0:21able to finish fifth in adjusted points
0:23per game last year because he was fourth
0:25in receiving yards among running backs,
0:26and he scored 12 touchdowns.
0:29That's really been the calling card,
0:30right for Achane, is
0:32fantasy points are typically more scored
0:34in the receiving game and touchdowns.
0:36The problem is, I don't have as good of
0:38an outlook on those receptions and those
0:41touchdowns this season. We want those
0:44all to be there, especially for a
0:45first-round pick, and I just I just
0:48don't see it happening as much this
0:49year. The Dolphins are going into the
0:51season pretty clearly projected as a
0:52bottom-five offense. I think most people
0:54will project them as a bottom-three
0:56offense. They could very well be the
0:58worst offense in the NFL. Uh, they're
1:01also swapping from Tua at quarterback to
1:04Malik Willis. Uh, Miami threw to running
1:06backs at the sixth highest rate last
1:08season. Uh, he was a pure pocket-passing
1:12quarterback that did not remain in the
1:14pocket very long, and when he threw the
1:15ball, he never pushed it deep downfield.
1:18They're, again, transitioning from a
1:19quarterback who is not going to push the
1:22ball downfield, is never going to
1:24scramble, is not going to remain in the
1:25pocket. That's a huge environment where
1:28you're going to get a ton of dump-offs
1:30to the running back. They're
1:31transitioning from that to a quarterback
1:33that does like to push it downfield and
1:35will scramble at a top-three rate this
1:37season. That alone is going to really,
1:40really hurt Achane's receiving totals.
1:42If you can get Achane at like the end of
1:45round two, like the round two-three
1:46turn, that's a little bit more
1:48appealing, but he's going to go earlier.
1:50He's not going to fall to the point
1:52where I get him this season.
