0:03round pick. Just another wide receiver
0:05that, you know, take late, see what
0:07happens in week one. If we're wrong and
0:09the role is not there, you can cut him.
0:11But, I don't think we're going to be
0:12wrong here. The role is going to be
0:13there. He's not going to be out there in
0:15one or two wide receiver sets, but
0:17that's okay because Dallas doesn't care
0:19about this league-wide shift. So, every
0:20single team is shifting towards, you
0:22know, drafting a million tight ends.
0:24We're going to get two, three tight ends
0:26onto the field. We're playing heavy.
0:27We're following the Rams. And I think a
0:29lot of them are going to fail. They're
0:30going to go back to 11 personnel. Dallas
0:32is like, "No, we're just going to put
0:33our best players out there and that
0:34means we're going to have three wide
0:35receivers on the field." So, uh they're
0:37not following this league-wide shift.
0:39So, Flournoy is going to be running a
0:41ton of routes this season. He was highly
0:43productive last year when given
0:45opportunity. He just didn't have a lot
0:47of opportunities last season because he
0:49was still breaking out, developing as a
0:51player. But, he had at least 68
0:53receiving yards in all three games where
0:54he had at least seven targets, at least
0:56114 receiving yards in the two games he
0:59had at least nine targets. Uh definitely
1:02going to take an injury to be someone
1:03that like truly breaks out. Like, unless
1:05you're in like, you know, a 14-16 team
1:07league and you kind of have that second
1:09flex spot, on a week-to-week basis, it's
1:11still relatively unlikely you're
1:12utilizing Flournoy. But, again, this
1:15late, you're probably not utilizing
1:16anyone right off the jump.
1:19But, if your team suffers some injuries
1:21and you really need someone, if Dallas
1:23especially suffers one injury to Lamb or
1:26Gallup,
1:27you've got someone who's going to be
1:28heavily utilized in the offense. And the
1:30staff has been gushing over this kid.
1:32This isn't like us being like, "Oh, we
1:34had a few good games and he looked
1:36solid." All off season, all the staff
1:38can talk about is how much he has
1:40progressed, how much they like the
1:42second half of last season for him, um
1:45just how great he's going to be as that
1:48third wide receiver, how he's developing
1:49as a route runner, how he's getting a
1:50lot of reps with Dak. So, I just think
1:52he's a really good pick to make because
1:55Cuz going to be out there a ton, great
1:56offense with a great quarterback, and
1:59they're going to be running 11 personnel
2:01all the time. And then, of course, the
2:02contingent upside, he's probably a
2:04weekly start if Lamb or Pickens goes
2:06down.
