0:54be fantasy football podcast, giving you the truth to fantasy football and sports, keeping you guys up to date.
1:00I'm going to go over the latest news notes to begin the episode, and then we're going to dive into the waiver wire, okay?
1:06If you haven't joined yet, join the Patreon group, guys, support the channel.
1:10I'm going to give you guys direct access to me if you've got a specific question for your league.
1:15This is the place to join, patreon.com forward slash FFcouncil, the all-access war room.
1:19I've linked it below right now, so head on over there right now, okay?
1:23Let's talk about this. Let's talk about what a wild week it was, man.
1:27I had Josh Allen, so I'm very fortunate to have him in one league, absolutely tearing it up yet again.
1:33The Buffalo Bills look absolutely like the real deal.
1:35There's no doubt about it. I don't know if you guys were watching the Chiefs game yesterday.
1:40The Chiefs look like the real deal as well.
1:43Kelsey getting involved. Everybody kind of get involved as expected, and there's some weird stuff going on at the end of that
1:49game, and there's too much to talk about here in the latest news and notes, but I do want to tell you,
1:55man, it was a crazy ending if you guys watched that.
1:58I don't know. The refs were getting involved, and it was just wild.
2:02You had to have been there kind of thing, right?
2:05So I'm going to go over every player, but I do want to start off here again with that latest news and notes here.
2:11There's a lot of injuries to cover, so let's get right to it.
2:15Breaking Brad, where are you? We now have breaking news.
2:18We now have breaking news. Let's get to it.
2:21A lot of injuries, but that was the main thing.
2:23I want to cover the main guys that are worth talking about for the injuries.
2:28The first one is Dallas Goddard. Suffered a right knee injury in the game against the Titans.
2:32It was questionable to return. Keep an eye on that.
2:35I mean, now when you're looking at, as soon as we're talking, waiver wire week three, Dontavian Wicks is a guy you want to consider definitely picking up.
2:43He stepped up pretty much as the wide receiver two there.
2:46Very exciting for him to step up finally after not wowing us for pretty much years.
2:51He's actually going to potentially do something, okay? Caleb Williams suffered a non-contact right leg injury in the fourth quarter of the Bears week two.
2:58Apparently, it's looking like it's a hamstring issue. More to come on that.
3:01It was a wet game. I don't know if you guys watched that game.
3:05It was a wet and wild, slippery game, so I understand why injury could occur there.
3:10But right leg injury, Chicago fans were really upset.
3:12Saquon Barkley undergo MRI suffering a stinger in the Eagles week two win over the Titans.
3:17From what I found out, the stinger is apparently some sort of nerve shock from the neck to the shoulder type thing.
3:23I don't know. I'm not a doctor, but I will tell you this.
3:27It was a neck ailment, okay? And that's a big thing now.
3:30Again, we're going to talk about who to pick up there, maybe Bigsby, stuff like that.
3:35So we'll get to that when we look at running backs.
3:38But I want to make you aware of Saquon Barkley.
3:41And prior to the season, I said make sure you guys are careful drafting Barkley.
3:45We've seen the best that Barkley can do. He's past his peak, okay?
3:49David DeJoyca goes down with a leg injury and was carted off the field.
3:52Great news for Gadistin, a guy that I've got on my radar.
3:56So definitely a tight end waiver wire pickup as well.
3:59Jaden Reed neck, good news. He has movement in his extremities.
4:02That's not what we want to see now. It's one thing to tweak an ankle or a hamstring.
4:07You know, I kind of joke about that. You know, player went down, you know, my player emerges, ha, ha, ha.
4:13When you have injuries like this, you know, you want the player to be okay.
4:17We don't want to see injuries like this where it looks very serious.
4:21And, you know, he's got an overnight stay at the hospital and, you know, suffering a neck injury.
4:26Jaden Reed, hopefully he's okay with that neck. Good news though.
4:29Movement in extremities. Last I'm hearing here, want to get that out to you.
4:33Yeah. Jaden Daniels exited another thing, right? This is an elbow.
4:36Like this, this is like another injury. You don't definitely, definitely don't want to see.
4:40Like I said, I'm not downplaying ankle injuries, but you know, you have an ankle or you have like a little hit and you're back on the field.
4:48It's like, that's what football is all about. When you see a young player like Jaden Daniels have a dislocated elbow, especially
4:54on his throwing arm, that's not good, especially for his career.
4:57I think it's the same arm and you know, that he had issues with before.
5:02So that's not really good for Jane Daniels. Hopefully we have a speedy recovery there for him.
5:06JK Dobbins hamstring is questionable return again, opens up another situation there for running back.
5:11We'll talk about that in a second. Jadarian price had a chest issue.
5:14I was a little pissed off. He didn't get as much playtime as I wanted.
5:19Apparently the x-rays come back negative is what I'm hearing, which is really, really good.
5:23He avoided a optimism, you know, avoided a significant injury, which is really good.
5:27X-rays, he underwent x-rays after the game. They came back negative.
5:30Jadarian price, good news. Okay. Alec Pierce also, I mean, the injuries just keep piling up.
5:34I mean, this is, this is why I would not have paid this guy $120 million, whatever he got paid 114.
5:40I can't remember. Questionable return to week two was Alec Pierce with a heel issue.
5:45I think he was carted off. Not good. So that's something we got to monitor yet again.
5:49Brock Bowers, close to returning as well. Knee issue probably back in week three.
5:53And that's pretty much it for news and notes.
5:56Again, other things are going to pop up that we may have not covered here.
6:00I'll make sure you guys are following my story mode on Instagram.
6:03Keep you guys up to date on all of that.
6:06All right. That's all we got. We now have breaking news.
6:09All right. Let's just go right into it here, guys.
6:12Let's go through all the studs and sucks, all the players you want to pick up off waiver wire week three here.
6:18All right. Again, make sure you guys do hit the thumbs up.
6:22Take a second of your time. Drop a question below.
6:25But again, all questions are going to be answered in the all access war room.
6:29If you guys have a specific question. All right.
6:31So Josh Allen tearing it up. Jared Goff, Dak Prescott, Pat Mahomes, Brock Purdy, Bryce Young, Tyler Shuck, Shuff.
6:37I like to say Drew Locke and Kirk Cousins, Cam Ward.
6:40All these guys finished in the top 10. Now, last week, you know, if you didn't pick them up, it looks like
6:46Bryce Young is absolutely proving that he can get it done week in week.
6:50Yeah. We see it yet again here. Bryce Young, 24.1 fantasy points continuing to do well.
6:54I mean, I'm pretty sure I'm as shocked as you guys are and Coker continuing to get those targets.
7:00So Carolina kind of making a statement this year and Bryce Young doing that.
7:04So if he's available on your rosters, maybe consider picking them up.
7:07Deshaun Watson, believe it or not, him and Denzel Boston connecting another waiver I pick up.
7:12We'll talk about wide receiver 19.7 fantasy points. If you are desperate and I mean desperate for a quarterback, super flex league
7:18or a two quarterback league, Deshaun Watson as well here.
7:21Okay. And again, Jane Daniels, I wouldn't consider drafting Marcus Mariota, but there you go.
7:25Or acquiring Marcus Mariota, 8.7 points when he stepped in as a backup.
7:29Again, if you are desperate, desperate times call for desperate measures.
7:32Okay. I mean, there's leagues that get thin injuries happen, you know, people hoard quarterbacks.
7:36So you may want to consider grabbing a quarterback.
7:39Marcus Mariota could be an option there. Also Carson Wentz.
7:41I don't know his time, how long he'll be there.
7:44If Kyler comes back there and then Chicago again, I don't know who I trust there.
7:49Tyler Bagent came in. I could call it Bagent came in.
7:52I don't trust Tyler. I'm not starting Tyler Vagent.
7:54I'm sorry to tell you, I'm just not going to do it at all.
7:58Okay. So again, that's kind of the quarterback situation there.
8:01Just be aware. Tyler Schuff. I got him. I may consider starting him next week.
8:05He's been on fire. I knew he'd be good.
8:08I got him as my backup, which is great.
8:10But he was outperforming Jalen Hurts on my roster yesterday.
8:13I was like, damn, man, that's awesome. That's great.
8:16But you know, I don't know. I got to, I got to compare matchups.
8:20And then Justin Herbert. What a suck, man. Like nobody expected these guys to lose to the Raiders.
8:25Like literally nobody at all. Like zero. So that's just very, very, very unfortunate to see, you know, Justin Herb performing the way that he is.
8:32Just, just terrible. Okay. So that's it. That's it for quarterbacks.
8:35Let's move on to the running backs here. Who are we going to want to pick up here?
8:40Again, that, you know, that position always gets slim and trim.
8:43And I tell people always go running back early in drafts, but let's take a look at it here.
8:49Taylor Walker continuing to perform. And it's about Kansas city finally getting a true workhorse running back under center.
8:54And they're using him a lot. And I mean, absolutely a lot, you know, 10 targets receiving six receptions, 4.9 inch per
9:00carry 117 rushing guards continuing to dominate. I was wrong about him.
9:04And that, but again, I think he is injury pro.
9:07I don't know how sustainable this is. We'll see.
9:09Jameer gives a Christian McCaffrey as advertised. James cook bounce back this week as advertised Derek Henry, Omarion Hampton, 17.5.
9:15He did have a fumble. I get it. People are ripping me on that.
9:19But still a top 10 running back for the past week.
9:22That's pretty good. Jonah Coleman stepping up. Okay. Listen to this 10 attempts, 39 yards, 3.9 yards per carry and a touchdown, 14.8 fantasy points.
9:29If Dobbin stayed sideline and Harvey's gone, he could absolutely be a league winner.
9:33Okay. Chuba Hubbard, 14.4. Rashad White, who sucks, you know, 14.3 points.
9:36Okay. Brees Hall, 14.4. And Tootin, who I thought would have had a better game.
9:40He'd got the over on the rushing, which I anticipated.
9:43That was kind of my lock for, you know, for rushing on the higher 4.2 points.
9:48And again, if you guys want to play, you guys could have really cashed in on that.
9:53I kept talking about that. Make sure you guys do head on over to Underdog right now.
9:57Create an account. Use code Lion. This is where I play.
10:00Underdog. Create an account called, use code Lion and get in on the action.
10:04Download the app. Get in there and DM me on Instagram, whatever.
10:08And also, Counselor's Edge, if you guys want my picks.
10:11I was really over, I think, 50% on my wins yesterday.
10:14I really, really crushed it. I mean, a lot of people were like, oh, I got Jackson.
10:18They got Jacksonville over Denver. I'm like, no, Denver's going to win this game.
10:22We never ended up winning that game. So make sure you guys get on the actual Counselor's Edge.
10:28But where you got to play is Underdog, up to $1,000 cash bonus.
10:31Okay? Up to $1,000 bonus dollars. Okay? We're going to get in there right now.
10:35Right? Keep going on with these running backs here.
10:38Again, guys you want to consider picking up. It is a bit of a stretch here.
10:42But let me just take a look. I'm going to go way down here.
10:46But where's Kalen Black? Again, 2.5 fantasy boys. Didn't get it done here.
10:50And I did talk about, I had it written down, is Coleman as well.
10:54And then Caleb Johnson as well, stepping in there.
10:57So there's a couple options here. And then Bigsby as well.
11:00Let me go pull this up. Spears. We're talking about him maybe.
11:03Well, Wilson is another option. But I'm not sold on it.
11:06Wilson sucks. But they were using him quite a bit with Jadarian Price kind of being banged up.
11:11He may be an option there. And again, Bigsby, another option there.
11:1513 attempts. But that was because of Saquon being down.
11:17So you got Bigsby. You got Coleman. Trying to see if there's anybody else worth picking up.
11:22Again, these guys. You know, Wilson. I'm still a Jadarian Price guy.
11:26I'm not sold on this guy again. He had no business being on the field.
11:30Braylon Allen on the Jets got some work. That's very annoying for Brees Hall owners.
11:34But I mean, he could be a stash. Emmitt Johnson could be a stash.
11:38So there's some options there for you. Other than that, you guys are kind of just, you know, you should start your starters.
11:45That's why if you got 16 rounds, you guys already know who to start.
11:48And you guys are good at depth, okay? And again, I am very disappointed with Jeremiah Love, by the way.
11:54I'm absolutely disappointed he did not get it done.
11:57So yeah, I would say he is the sucker.
11:59He should be ashamed of himself. Honestly, 7.5 points, 3.2 yards per carry.
12:03Just not getting the volume that he should be getting.
12:06They're just not feeding him. I don't know what to tell you, man.
12:09I don't know. It's like the Cardinals look good week one.
12:12Now they're just not feeding him. So just very, very beyond disappointing there, okay?
12:16Moving on to wide receiver. I mean, again, I was kind of wrong on slide this over here.
12:22I was wrong, man. JSN, I projected a decline.
12:24Again, it is early in the season. But JSN, as advertised, pretty much the best wide receiver in the game.
12:30CeeDee Lamb, Amonra, Devontae, Jamar Chase, all producing. But on the same token, I was right by saying draft Trey Tucker.
12:36He was absolutely free in drafts. This is what I say, man.
12:39You get wide receiver ones for absolutely free. Trey Tucker, 22.9 points.
12:42Absolutely dominating. Now, this could be predicated simply because Brock Bowers has been out, maybe.
12:47But 119 yards, one touchdown. He's a wide receiver one.
12:49I mean, we knew this going into season. So if he's available on your waiver wire, he should have been drafted on all roster.
12:56I got him. I actually started him in one league, believe it or not.
13:00And I got him. And I sat him in another league, which I'm very upset I did.
13:05But hey, it is what it is. But top 10 wide receiver, Trey Tucker.
13:09And again, I talk about this guy. So much value later.
13:12Rashad Bateman, Stephon Diggs, all cracking the top 10 here.
13:15Parker Washington, again, proving he's the one there. Very disappointing for Brian Thomas Jr.
13:19There's a lot of receivers that are just disappointing, including Marvin Harrison Jr.
13:22Did absolutely nothing. So their career is over unless they step up.
13:26It's very, they suck. I mean, they come out of college, first round pick, and they do nothing.
13:31They should be ashamed of themselves, okay? Cody White, I wouldn't get excited about him here.
13:35Vegas Raiders, two targets, two receptions. He got the two touchdowns, right?
13:39That's the thing. He's very touchdown heavy. I don't think that's sustainable.
13:42So if you want to consider him, I wouldn't pick him up.
13:46Wicks, if he's available, definitely at this point, six targets, five receptions.
13:49I would definitely consider grabbing him. Veeley, if he's still available, definitely grab him.
13:53There. Darius Cooper on Philly, just not enough volume to go around there.
13:57Laquan Treadwell, I mean, I would, no, I would not.
13:59You know, I would, nothing there. Io Manor, he's been getting some work, but just not enough targets here.
14:05So I'm going to just filter here by targets, right?
14:08Some guys that you want to consider that, you know, maybe off your radar that got targeted heavily.
14:13Adonai Mitchell, right? Jets, 12 targets. Maybe a consideration.
14:15That's pretty good. Parker Washington, Jacksonville, 12 targets, right?
14:18Christian Watson, back up to the targets. Only 14 points.
14:21Not bad. Waddle, we know him. We all, I'm just trying to see if there's any names here.
14:26You know, Jalen Coker, again, nine targets. Xavier Hutchison, Houston.
14:28He kind of stepped up there. You want to keep him on your radar.
14:32And Rashad Bateman, if you're looking at wide receivers who got targeted, Houston and Baltimore receivers stepping up with injuries.
14:38Zay Flowers being gone. Nico Collins. That is something to definitely look at.
14:42Jeremy Bernard, rookie Pittsburgh. But again, I don't trust anything Pittsburgh's doing.
14:45Ted Hurst getting some volume in Tampa Bay, but it was very disappointing.
14:49You know, Baker Mayfield was just not throwing as much as he should have.
14:53It was very, very disappointing. Okay. And Denzel Boston, consider him as well.
14:56But that's your wide receiver roundup. But again, a lot of people just very, very disappointing.
15:01Mike Evans, 8.4 fantasy points. Brian Thomas Jr., 7 points.
15:04DK Metcalf is a suck of the week at 6.7.
15:07You'd think he'd step up with Pittman being out.
15:09And Ladd McConkie, 6.5. Luther Byrne, 6.2. Some big names here.
15:12Cardinal Tate, 5.7. Some big names. High draft capital players.
15:15Wide receiver one is just not performing. So it was a down week on receivers for the most part that should have stepped up.
15:22Okay. Moving on to tight end. I'm going to give you guys some tight end options definitely to consider.
15:27Again, hit the thumbs up. Really help the channel.
15:30I am an independent. Smash it. Tap it. Show that energy.
15:33Week three is here, man. Let's talk. All right.
15:35Let's go some tight ends here for you. We got Dalton Schultz, 14 targets.
15:39That's pretty awesome. Other guys, Darren Waller. I just don't think this is sustainable, man.
15:44Two touchdowns, three targets, three receptions. Just not sustainable.
15:46I'm not sold on that. Some people pick them up and just get disappointed for the rest of the season.
15:52I'm not seeing it. Carolina, Darren Waller. I don't know about that one.
15:55Nate Atkins, three targets, three receptions. Denver, not sustainable.
15:58Gaddis, I do actually see stepping up with the Joico being gone.
16:01I definitely see there. I would definitely consider picking up.
16:04I know it's two targets, but man, he's a good player.
16:07He really is. Again, I had him on my radar when I was drafting this year.
16:12Okay. Let's just filter here by targets and see who got the workload here.
16:16You know, Cade Auden, six targets, not bad. Pat Fryermuth has been kind of good with targets there.
16:21Maybe pick him up. Mike Mayer, four targets, but only because Brock Bowers out, he could be coming back.
16:26But at this point, man, with tight end, it's always, has been, always been a crapshoot.
16:31If you can get Kincaid on your roster, he looks really solid.
16:34I would love to have Kincaid on my roster, getting a ton of work under Josh Allen.
16:39Okay. And then Dalton Schultz. Again, we talked about him in Houston.
16:42Other than that, man, it's a crapshoot. Hawkinson, maybe four targets, but nobody else really just stepping it up this week.
16:48All right. That's all I got for you, man.
