A.J. Brown

PositiveRole0:05

In the Patriots offense, A.J. Brown will be in a more concentrated situation and Drake May will need him as the guy on the outside and in the middle of the field to keep drives going.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:05

If you're a contender with A.J. Brown, this is the time to be excited about him; if you're not contending, now is the moment to sell at max value before he turns 30.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:09

Jose projects A.J. Brown to return to being a wide receiver one with potential for double-digit touchdowns, as the Patriots don't have another red zone target to prioritize.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:10

Taylor projects A.J. Brown to finish as a top 10 wide receiver in full PPR with a higher floor in New England, likely in the 7-10 touchdown range rather than 12-14.

Insight page
PositiveInjury0:11

There is a lingering knee issue with A.J. Brown that was a concern, which is why the Rams were out on the sweepstakes for him.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveValue18:27

Moore can be acquired for a second and a third, and has shown the ability to be a wide receiver one with lesser-talented quarterbacks, making him a strong value in Buffalo.

Insight page
PositiveRole18:37

Moore has the opportunity to emerge as Josh Allen's primary target in Buffalo's wide receiver room and could have a strong season with veteran understanding.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveRole16:58

Montgomery should be the main guy coming out of Houston's backfield and is available for cheap, making him a solid RB2 option.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveRole0:12

Devonta Smith will gain the most from A.J. Brown's trade, as he will get more targets and has the agility to run creative routes that the Eagles can use to keep drives moving.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:13

Taylor sees Devonta Smith as a high-end wide receiver two with a high floor, comparable to T. Higgins without the same magnitude of soft tissue concerns.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:14

Jose projects Devonta Smith to finish between wide receiver 15-20, with the biggest concern being whether the Eagles' offense will figure things out and become more creative in their passing scheme.

Insight page
NegativeRole0:14

Jose questions whether Devonta Smith is cut out to be an alpha in an offense, noting he hasn't taken over even when A.J. Brown has been hurt or absent.

Insight page
PositiveValue17:03

Smith is ranked in the mid-wide receiver range (14-16) and represents good value for a player with upside.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

PositiveUsage16:51

Dobbins doesn't get much receiving work as RJ Harvey handles that role, which makes him a better play in half-PPR formats.

Insight page
NegativeInjury16:53

Dobbins has barely played more than 13 games in recent years, and the toll of brutal injuries makes him a risky bet despite his talent.

Insight page
PositiveValue17:12

Dobbins is extremely undervalued due to injury concerns but had strong 2025 metrics: 62.3% opportunity share, eighth in yards per carry (5.0), and 117.2 EPX, making him a good value at a late second or 11th-12th round startup pick.

Insight page
PositiveValue17:14

Dobbins can be acquired for a late 2026 second or an 11th-12th round startup pick, representing excellent value when the injury narrative is priced in.

Insight page
PositiveInjury17:23

Dobbins has a brutal injury history with multiple ACL injuries, an Achilles injury, and a foot injury last year, which is driving his low price.

Insight page
PositiveRole17:24

Dobbins is a decent RB2 and excellent flex play in deeper leagues, with potential to be a reliable starter six times a year in an offense where he can be depended on for 12-15 points.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

NegativeProjection0:15

Jose notes that Jalen Hurts' passing has continued to decline even with A.J. Brown on the team, raising questions about how his performance will look without Brown.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

NegativeValue17:14

Coleman is going ahead of Dobbins in startups, which is viewed as mispriced given Dobbins' superior talent and opportunity share.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

PositiveValue0:20

Patrick Mahomes' startup ADP has not matched his on-field production over the last 2-3 years, causing people to sour on him despite being arguably the best player in football.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout0:20

Taylor believes Patrick Mahomes will come out with a vengeance after his recent injury and declining performance, as he's been upset with how he's performed the last few seasons and will be motivated to bounce back.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

PositiveRole16:51

Harvey handles the receiving work in the Denver backfield, while Dobbins is the primary rusher.

Insight page
NegativeRole16:55

Harvey is being hyped by Sean Payton to boost his confidence, but he's not going to be the guy in the Denver backfield, suggesting his value is inflated.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveValue16:59

Higgins is ranked in the 14-16 range and can be acquired for two seconds in offseason trades, representing strong value for a player with spike-week potential.

Insight page
PositiveInjury17:03

Higgins has injury concerns and has barely ever played a full season, so contenders should be prepared for him to miss two to three weeks.

Insight page
PositiveRole17:14

Higgins has the potential to have spike weeks that can win you weeks, especially if Chase misses time, as he's shown the ability to step in and take a huge target share.

Insight page
PositiveRole17:22

Higgins is a great player to have as your wide receiver three or flex, capable of putting up 30-point games from the flex spot and winning weeks for contending teams.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveValue17:23

McLaurin is undervalued due to age and his bad season last year, making him a solid contender for a wide receiver four or five flex spot.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

PositiveValue16:55

Trading Montgomery for Pollard and gaining a third is a savvy move, as Pollard offers better value and upside.

Insight page
PositiveRole17:07

Pollard is the clear lead back in Tennessee with Padre Spears unable to stay healthy, and he's available for cheap as an RB2 or flex option.

Insight page
PositiveValue17:17

Pollard is going in the 14th round in startups and can be used as an RB3 or flex option, with potential to serve as an RB2 on bi-weeks or if injuries strike.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

PositiveValue19:19

Kelce is a Hall of Famer available at an excellent price and is an excellent flex in tight end premium formats, typically a bench asset in the 11th-12th round if you've built your team right.

Insight page
PositiveValue19:19

Kelce is super cheap and available for a third or 2028 second, with his ADP in Sleeper at 14th round but typically going in 11th-12th round in startups, making him an excellent value.

Insight page
PositiveRole19:19

With Rice as a knucklehead, targets go somewhere, and Kelce is positioned to benefit from increased target volume.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

PositiveValue17:39

Charbonnet is undervalued in dynasty startups due to Jadarian Price's presence, but pairing him with Dobbins creates an arbitrage play where you can get a starting RB/RB2 for the whole year.

Insight page
PositiveRole18:32

Charbonnet is likely the guy to own in the Denver backfield for the second half of the season, making him a strong pairing with Dobbins for full-year RB coverage.

0:48I'm your co-host J-Mac here with my co-host Jose.
0:51What's up, dude? Not much J-Mac. Back here again with another awesome guest for you guys.
0:56Talk some old, crusty, dusty vets, but you know, the ones that you actually want to have on your team.
1:02But yeah, man, it's a good morning. Recording early.
1:05How you been J-Mac and how are you Taylor?
1:07I'm good, man. And it is a good morning because we do have to talk about those crusty vets.
1:13But let's introduce Taylor Christensen of Dynasty Nurse. What's up, man?
1:17How are you? Hey, guys. It's great to be on.
1:20I always love the show. It's been great following along in the offseason and kind of getting into what's going to come up here in 26-27.
1:28I love talking crusty vets. It's probably my second favorite topic right after rookie drafts.
1:32So now that that's out of the way, it's time to move on to the old guys.
1:38Yeah, let's do that. But I guess before we get into all that, man, tell us a little bit about yourself, what you're doing in the fantasy space.
1:46You know, we met through the OTC Discord and I just gravitated towards you because I liked all the things that you were saying.
1:54I felt like we, a lot of stuff you're saying just resonated.
1:58So yeah, man, tell us, tell us a little bit about yourself.
2:01Well, I work over at Dynasty Nerds.com. I'm our content lead and managing editor for the writing staff.
2:07So I've got a finger in the industry, but more so I've played Dynasty for 20 years now.
2:12So I feel really crusty myself saying that. But it's been a wild ride seeing how it's just evolved every year and
2:19the amount of people who are interested now. I can actually go out and say, hey, this is what I do.
2:26And people have heard of Dynasty. They don't just think I'm the weird guy who follows football all year long.
2:32So it's great to be around like-minded people. You know, it's nice that I can tell my wife that I socialize, even
2:39though I'm just sending trades all day. But that's part of my job.
2:43You know, you got to send trades. That's what happens when you do what you do.
2:48I love it, man. Yeah, we're becoming normalized and it's making a lot of sense.
2:52I'm even meeting people in real life now who play Dynasty in my community.
2:57And I was like, whoa, that's weird. I didn't know you guys existed outside of the internet.
3:02But here we are. All right. Before we jump into it all, let's do the announcement for Roster Review Services.

3:33Not all of our content makes it over to the Player Profiler Network.
3:37In fact, we have a new series going on.
3:40We're calling Process First, which we are breaking down our Dynasty Boogaloo League that we are all in.
3:46And it's been fun so far. We've broken down three teams.
3:49The third episode just dropped yesterday and we're going to get Taylor on there soon.
3:54I'm sure at some point it'll come up during this episode because we are degenerates and that's all we think about.
4:00But nonetheless, you can follow Fox on X at BFoxworth07, also in the Boogaloo League.
4:05She is helping us out with all our graphics and she killed last week's graphics with that breakout.
4:11I loved it with Jackson Dart on the cover.
4:13It was so awesome. So Fox, thank you. You rock.
4:16Other than that, guys, let's get into it. We're going to talk about those Krusty Vets in our Veteran Values segment.
4:23But first, as always, a quick hit. You guys ready?
4:26Let's do it. All right. For the quick hit today, we had a trade happen in real life football.
4:32A.J. Brown going to the Pats. Huge surprise. I don't think anybody saw it coming.
4:37Jose's face says it all. It was A.J. Brown for a 28 first round pick and a 27th fifth round pick.
4:43Kind of wild that they traded for A.J. Brown a first and a third.
4:47And four years later, they're turning him around for a first and a fifth.
4:52But here we are. A.J. Brown to the Patriots.
4:54How are you guys viewing A.J. Brown for this season and beyond for Dynasty?
4:59Let's toss it over to Taylor first in the Patriots offense.
5:02How are you viewing A.J. Brown? If I have A.J.
5:05Brown and I'm a contender, I'm so excited. This is exactly what you were hoping for.
5:10He's going to be in a more concentrated situation.
5:13Hopefully, Drake May is going to need that guy on the outside.
5:17He's going to need the guy in the middle of the field.
5:20He needs someone who he can just throw the ball up, make sure that they get past the sticks and keep the drive going.
5:28And I think that Brown's going to be excited to play in New England.
5:32I think he's got a good sort of mentality for going in there with the way Brable has everyone focused.
5:38So I really like his outlook if I'm a contender.
5:41Now, if I'm not a contender and he's on my team, this is where I'm probably selling.
5:47I think that this is this moment right now is as high as he's likely to be unless he completely explodes this season.
5:54Like if he's a top five overall wide receiver, you're going to be able to get more for him.
6:00But right now, the spike is basically max value.
6:02So getting a 27 first plus is out there.
6:05And I think that's what you're hoping for with a guy like A.J.
6:09Brown, right? He's going to be 30 before long.
6:12And we know that that's always a red flag for people, even if there's still production.
6:17People don't want to pay a first for a 30-year-old player.
6:20So I think now is the time if you've been holding, looking to move him, go out and send some offers today.
6:27Yeah, that's totally fair. Jose, where are you at with A.J.
6:31Brown, man? Yeah, I mean, same thing. I thought it was a little bit funny that they traded a 28 first.
6:37Even, you know, real NFL teams know how important the 27 draft is.
6:41So they, you know, they didn't want to trade their 27 first saying they have it.
6:46I was just looking up. It does look like they have it.
6:50But yeah, I mean, the Eagles front office, the Cowboys fan, it sucks to say.
6:54But I think they're one of the best run organizations in the entire NFL.
6:59I mean, what they traded for A.J. Brown. And then now, like you said, flipping him four years later after winning a Super Bowl.
7:06You can say the drama, all the other stuff.
7:09But they did win a Super Bowl with him on the team.
7:13I think he's still an elite player. He's kind of interesting because he doesn't seem to catch as much flack as somebody
7:20like a Pickens does for his, like, off-field antics.
7:22Or his lack of effort or his checking out sometimes.
7:25Or just not being elite all the time as he should be.
7:29We're going to see with Drake May what that looks like.
7:33I think Drake May as a passer is definitely a better passer than Jalen Hurts, at least over the last few seasons.
7:39You know, Drake May's deep ball and just overall scheme, I think, he's going to benefit from.
7:45I mean, Romeo Dobbs is his second. It should be concentrated, like you were saying, to A.J.
7:50Brown. I agree with a lot of everything Taylor was saying, so not to reiterate.
7:54I do feel like a lot of people were kind of already acting as A.J.
7:59Brown was on the Patriots just because it seemed, like, so obvious that it was going to happen for a long time.
8:06I don't know if there was a ton of value boost besides maybe just the actual name now seeing him there.
8:12But I do think that this is the best time to sell unless something crazy happens this season, like Taylor was saying.
8:19And I think it's hard to project that happening.
8:22And even so, I think you're still only looking at a one to two year window.
8:27And he's truly just a contender's piece. Like, I don't want to be in the A.J.
8:32Brown game for much longer than this season and kind of take it a season at a time with him at this point.
8:39I mean, we're talking about vets. I mean, he's he's 28 years old already.
8:43So he's he's definitely entered that realm. So. But yeah, not to, you know, not to reiterate too much as we have a guest appearance.
8:51My cat here is climbing. But anyways. Yeah. So what did you think, J-Mac?
8:55I think your cat's a big A.J. Brown fan and I love it.
8:59No, I agree with a lot of what you guys saying.
9:03I I don't I'm a little more skeptical of what the outlook looks like in the Pats.
9:08We haven't talked about it, but I guess where do you guys think he finishes in the wide receiver ranks at the end of this 26 season?
9:16I guess, Jose, give me your thoughts. Yeah. I mean, I don't think he's going to finish much higher than he did
9:23before, but I think he'll be a solid. And he finished wide receiver 14, I think, last year in half PPR.
9:30And that was it was a rough 14. Yeah.
9:33It was a rough 14. So I think he returns to being a wide receiver one.
9:37I definitely don't think he's in the top 10 like he was two or three years ago.
9:43So, you know, anywhere between like 10 to 12 or maybe just a very solid wide receiver two.
9:48I think that's definitely in the outcomes in terms of also his touchdowns.
9:52He could get back to double digit touchdowns. You know, they don't really have another red zone target that they should be prioritizing other than AJ Brown.
10:01So I could see that and I could see the touchdowns carrying him to a better finish than maybe you're going to expect week to week.
10:09What about you, Taylor? Where do you think he finishes?
10:12I think he's going to do a little bit better than what Jose just described, mainly because I think that the Patriots
10:19are going to need him to be the guy for this season.
10:22I think that their wide receiver core has been so lacking that having an elite talent is going to give them a boost on the offense.
10:30They're going to want to involve him regularly. A lot of those games that he had in Philly where he only, you
10:37know, two targets, maybe zero fantasy points, even though he was out there the whole time.
10:42I don't expect that to happen in New England.
10:45I would say that his floor is higher. And even though they are less likely to score 30, 40 points a game
10:52as a, as a team, there's a lot of opportunities for their running backs to score inside the red zone.
10:58So I'm not expecting him to be a 12 to 14 touchdown guy, but he could definitely be in the seven to 10 touchdown range.
11:06I think. And with the yardage, with the receptions, if you're full PPR, I could see him being a top 10 receiver.
11:12I expect him to be a wide receiver one, unless something, you know, happens to Drake may let's say, but outside of
11:19injuries, I would say that the plan for him this year from a scheme perspective will probably give him the opportunity to be a top 10 wide receiver.
11:28Yeah. And also like there, I think there's injury concern with AJ Brown too, right?
11:33There's the knee issue that was been has been lingering.
11:36You know, I think that's why the Rams were out on the AJ Brown sweepstakes.
11:40I don't know, man. I, I think I'm, I'm around where you guys are just a little bit lower.
11:46I feel like just beat like a high end wide receiver too is probably what I would expect from him.
11:52I don't see him getting crazy a target share over there, but I do think that he's going to be, you know, the go-to guy.
12:00I just think the ball is going to get spread around a little bit more and they're going to be wanting to
12:07run the ball with, you know, both Ramondre and Travion Henderson.
12:10So I don't know. I don't know. Maybe I'm just down on AJ Brown in general, but I would say I'm with you guys in general.
12:18I'm just as a contenders piece. It's just a little bit higher price than I would like to pay to get for a 28 year old wide receiver.
12:27Let's talk about the other side of the ball or the team of this trade, which is the Eagles.
12:33They still have, you know, Smitty Goddard lemon Stowers.
12:36And then obviously Hertz and Saquon are going to play in there too.
12:40Who gains the most from this trade? Taylor, give me your thoughts, man.
12:44I think it's gotta be Devonta Smith. I mean, he's going to get more targets.
12:48He's been a guy that has been consistent for Jalen Hertz.
12:52We've seen him get open year after year. He was a Heisman winning wide receiver.
12:56I mean, to me, that screams potential. Like you don't get those types of accolades against the entire field of college football
13:03because you're a wide receiver too, who sits in the shadows.
13:07You know what I mean? Like he's been considered the second option on that team because AJ Brown is such an intimidating
13:13physical specimen, you know, and he's had some of the big games to back it up.
13:18But I think Smith is maybe more important to that offense as far as making sure that they are staying ahead of
13:25schedule and getting an opportunity to play more creative routes.
13:28You know, he's got a little more agility to him than someone like AJ Brown.
13:33So they can do some more quick passes and things and get him out on the sidelines.
13:38So I think there's a lot of opportunity for him to kind of pick up some of the target share that's been vacated now.
13:46I'm not expecting him to outscore AJ Brown. You know, if I had to have one of them for this year, I
13:52would say I'd probably rather have Brown. Um, but I could see Smith being a high end wide receiver too with a high floor.
14:00I think he's a guy that you could easily plug in there as if he's your wide receiver three on your dynasty league.
14:07I'm loving it. Like, that's what you want. He's basically, in my opinion, T Higgins without the soft tissue concerns of that same magnitude.
14:14Like I'm thinking I'm getting similar production from those two players this year.
14:18That's where I'm mentally putting him. Yeah, that's fair.
14:21Jose, how do you see Devonta Smith? Yeah, I agree.
14:24I think he should take a jump up. I'm not sure that Devonta Smith is cut out to be a wide receiver, like an alpha in an offense.
14:33I mean, it just doesn't seem like he's ever taken over even when AJ Brown has been hurt or hasn't shown up in a game.
14:41He hasn't really done that himself. He's never been anything better than I think what his sophomore year, he was the top
14:4710 finish and everything else has been pretty solidly a wide receiver two or worse.
14:52So he should. I mean, the biggest concern is the offense in whole.
14:56Are they going to figure something out? Right? Like if the scheme doesn't change, if they're not able to be more creative
15:03and pass more, Jalen Hurts passing has continued to nosedive into even having AJ Brown.
15:07So now without AJ Brown, what does that look like for Jalen Hurts?
15:12I mean, I think he's a very interesting player himself.
15:15Like how, how does this affect him? Um, and I think to not say, um, a lot of the things that Taylor
15:21Ray said about Smith, I got it is a pretty interesting, like, especially in like a best ball format, or if you're
15:28just looking to add, um, a tight end depth to your team.
15:32Uh, I think he's a pretty good one that can't cost very much, at least for the next year.
15:38Um, I think it would be hard pressed to see Stowers take that job from him, at least, um, for most of the seasons.
15:45I like Goddard. I think he's a bit of a sneaky guy.
15:49I mean, he, he did a lot of his work last year with touchdowns, but, um, the ball has to go somewhere.
15:56So I, you know, between him and, and, um, Lemon, I think there's, there's some extra fantasy juice to be gained there.
16:03Yeah, I agree. Especially in a tight end premium league.
16:06I think Goddard is even, you know, a flexible player too.
16:09So I like that shout out there. I guess just really quickly guys over under Devonta Smith, wide receiver 16.
16:15Jose. I think that's like the line right there.
16:18If you would have gone 16 and a half, I would have gone under.
16:22So, um, I'll still go under, I think. Is under wide receiver 15 or is under wide receiver 17?
16:28I was thinking wide receiver 15 would be the under.
16:31Was that what you meant, Jose? No, I meant over the.
16:35Okay. Okay. Okay. So what he says greater than less than or greater than Taylor.
16:39Yeah. I'm going to say he finishes somewhere between 20 and 16.
16:43I think that's a great line. 16. If he finishes better than that, I would consider it, um, like a benefit on his projections.
16:50Yeah. A huge win. And I guess to what, what this kind of tells me is that AJ Brown and Devonta Smith
16:57are both 28 and they're both probably similarly priced.
17:00So it sounds like AJ Brown is probably the guy that you want in dynasty for this year for a contender.
17:07I mean, I guess out of either of these two players, you want AJ Brown.
17:11It sounds like for, for the going forward. I think he has a high end ceiling, right?
17:16Like, I don't think there's many, we were saying that there isn't a ton of outcomes where we think AJ Brown finishes
17:23the top five, but I mean, you could see it, right?
17:27Like if he scores, if he does go crazy, he has like 13 touchdowns and like the, you know, over a thousand.
17:33Like if he, he has that, I feel like in, in him, in his ability, I don't, I don't see that in Devonta Smith.
17:41So if you're looking for a contender and they're around the same price, they're around the same age.
17:46Like I think AJ Brown is more of the play just because he has a higher scene.
17:52He also has a lower floor. So it's one of those things that like your roster construction, how much can you take on?
17:59Like he's your wide receiver two is your three.
18:02Like I think it depends a lot, but I think AJ Brown definitely has more of a league winning or, you know,
18:08a championship run type of upside to him that Devonta Smith doesn't.
18:12Man, this is really interesting. And I want to keep talking about this, but we are lingering in this quick hit here.
18:19So let's go ahead and exit out of this and table that conversation maybe for a later pod here.
18:25So we're going to hear a quick advertisement from the pod father and the dynasty deluxe, and we'll be back with you
18:32guys on the other side with veteran values. If you play in dynasty, you need dynasty.
18:37Deluxe are premium package for dynasty leaguers. We rank over 300 players updated every week, all year long.

20:27All right, welcome back. Let's talk veteran values, guys.
20:30These crusty vets in Dynasty that you typically look the other way on.
20:34But maybe there's still some value to be gained for a contending team here.
20:38So, Taylor, why don't you kick us off here, man?
20:42I think your first one here is not necessarily crusty.
20:45But he does have a little bit of a stigma to him as he's been around a little bit.
20:50And the production on him isn't quite as high as we're used to seeing.
20:55Yeah, I'm going to start us off here with arguably the best player in football.
20:59Patrick Mahomes, he's a quarterback that a lot of people have soured on the last two, three years because his startup ADP has not matched his on-field production.
21:08Now, that could be said of a lot of players.
21:11And most of the time, that means they're on a decline.
21:15And you probably want to sell or avoid. I think that Mahomes is going to be on fire from all of this.
21:21I think he's going to be upset at the way he's performed the last few seasons.
21:26I think he's seeing his numbers dip. I think he's seeing his team decline as far as their progression of a complex unit.
21:33They've had to kind of be more vanilla lately.
21:36And I think he's going to come out with a vengeance, especially after having this injury.
21:41Now, if you're going to be in redraft or something this year, yeah, I'm not saying go out and spend a third, fourth round pick on Patrick Mahomes.
21:50But if you're in a startup and you have an opportunity to take him in the late third, or maybe even the
21:57early third, if you are in a third round reversal and you're not going to get another opportunity for a while, I
22:03think he's a good pick because he's going to have insulation.
22:07And once he does come back and has a, you know, wide receiver core, that's not currently getting fingerprinted and they have
22:14a tight end, who's actually going to be able to be involved.
22:17I think this year, Travis Kelsey, I think last year he kind of, he did great, but this is going to be his revenge tour as well.
22:26So sign me up for those guys and their, you know, forward progression.
22:30The biggest thing about my homes, honestly, is that he hasn't really dropped off.
22:34Just the perception of him has dropped off. A lot of people went from thinking he was the golden boy.
22:40We're so glad that we have him in the league.
22:43Everyone loves him to the villain. And in dynasty, we've seen his value kind of be affected by that as well.
22:50And now he's been humbled last season, his yards and his touchdowns were almost identical to the year before.
22:56So they went 15 and one in 2024 and he played two games fewer in 2025.
23:01Yet his yards were only 350 apart, four touchdowns apart.
23:04I mean, those are the two games, right? Like he plays a full season.
23:0815 and one season looks the same as their six and eight season.
23:12Now I think he and Andy Reed kind of look at that and say, well, that's too much volatility.
23:18We need to be better than that so that we can reach that 13, 14 win standard that they want to have.
23:25So I think it's silly to bet against the best player in football.
23:29And I think he's going to come back and show that he's the best player.
23:33And that's going to show up in the stat line as well.
23:37So if you can go out and get Patrick Mahomes for a 27 first and second, that's kind of what I'm wanting
23:44to pay a 27 first and second, because he's going to be better than the other quarterbacks that come out in that class.
23:51Even if you love Arch Manning and you think he's the next guy, he's hoping to be Patrick Mahomes.
23:57Like why would you go for the mystery box when you can have the boat?
24:02You know what I'm saying? I do know what you're saying.
24:05And I like to call out here. He is definitely undervalued.
24:08I will say though, like last year, the rushing production that he had really boosted his stats.
24:14I think he had like four or five touchdowns and I don't know, like 250 yards over the first like five or
24:21six weeks, which was really just like buoying him.
24:23And he was playing hero ball because he had no one to throw the ball to, which is great as a fantasy player.
24:30Like you want that, but obviously we see it take the toll on him.
24:35He goes down with the ACL, PCL injury and late in the season, you know, that was right before the playoffs or was it in the playoffs?
24:43I can't remember. Despite the point, it took the toll.
24:46But I love the call out here because I think you're also getting that injury dip on him.
24:52People are also underpricing him because they're not expecting him to start the season.
24:56So in startups, people are a little bit more reluctant to take him as you know, their QB one here, because that's
25:03kind of where you have to take them. But I think it's okay to do, especially for my favorite part here is
25:10that he's paired back up with Eric Biennemi as the offensive coordinator who we saw when they were together have those high flying stats here.
25:17So I guess Jose, give us your thought on Mahomes.
25:21And then after that, man, let's go ahead and roll into your first bet.
25:25Yeah, I mean, not much else to say. I think he's definitely a valley.
25:29I think people have just been, they were just got tired of Mahomes being one of the best players and it has
25:36been a bit of a rough couple of seasons, but when you talk about rough couple of seasons, he's still finished as a QB one.
25:44So it's not like it's been some horrendous. And I mean, you saw what it could be once Rasheed Rice got back on the field.
25:51I mean, for now it's expected that Rice is going to be on the field every game.
25:57Obviously that's a complete toss up in there, but I mean, they have invested into the offense, right?
26:02They drafted, sorry, they got Kenneth Walker and free agency.
26:05So they're, they're trying to invest into the offense.
26:08I think they know that they can't just try to have him do everything.
26:12I mean, I think it's savior worthy when he's healthy.
26:16He's not like an amazing player for fantasy, but he is very good for what the chiefs want to do.
26:22And Travis Kelsey, I think continues to perform. And if he's coming back is because he wants to come back.
26:28He has no reason to come back. And I think he's going to be just as motivated to kind of prove and
26:35kind of have a bounce back and not, you know, miss the playoffs is the first time they've done that as a pairing.
26:42So, I mean, I think if he's ready for week one, I mean, everything he's out there throwing the ball, everything he's
26:49saying is he wants to be ready for week one.
26:52I think it'd be really impressive. Mahomes also doesn't need his legs.
26:55I mean, like you said, it was kind of booing him, but if he can have the passing volume and the drives
27:02can continue with Kenneth Walker and the offense, I think he can just pass, you know, to his ultimate, you know, top end finish.
27:10So I definitely, I like it. I think if you're not going early quarterback, he's definitely the target in going into that second, third round.
27:17Like Taylor was saying. Yeah. Yeah. He went to 308 and my latest startup, which was, I mean, I, I passed on
27:24him at the 304 to take Jackson dart, but I felt like there was a little more upside there to be had.
27:31And just, I think the value kind of rides with dart in that end, but all right, Jose, why don't you go
27:38ahead and kick us off with your first bet.
27:41Yeah. I mean, I think I'm going to talk about another quarterback.
27:44I mean, maybe this seems a little Homer-ish, but I think it happens pretty much every year that Dak isn't hurt.
27:51He seems undervalued. Like he goes out there, has a great finish, maybe just because he plays for the Cowboys and everybody hates the cow.
27:59I don't know what it is, but it seems like every year he goes out, plays well for fantasy, whatever happens in
28:05the playoffs, or they don't make the playoffs or, or whatever.
28:09But he pretty much has, whenever he's not injured a top 10 quarterback finish, sometimes even as high as like three, five,
28:16six, like he's finished every year that he's just played every game.
28:19He's pretty much finished as a better than a top eight quarterback.
28:23So it's just every season, it feels like the same thing happens.
28:27It's just, you know, is he going to get hurt?
28:30It's impossible to, you know, tell, but I think he definitely has the weapons.
28:34I do project that Pickens is going to play.
28:37They'll figure it out, whether it's a long-term contract or he ends up just playing.
28:42I do think he's going to end up playing.
28:44So you're kind of looking at the same offense.
28:47And for Dak, that was pretty amazing. Especially when CD got back, he was averaging well over, I think 20 points per
28:54game once they were both playing as J-Mac tries to sabotage.
28:57He hates the Cowboys, hates Dak. As soon as I mentioned Pickens, he's sabotaging my segment here.
29:03No, but I just think he's, I don't know exactly his ADP wise, but it always seems like it falls.
29:09There's that new hype of, you know, Jackson darts and all that.
29:12I think I'm okay. I mean, I know he's getting older, but quarterbacks tend to play for a while.
29:18I think he's going to be 33 playing this season, which is, which is a bit older, but I don't think that
29:25he's, he's rushing has fallen off a long time ago is after that brutal ankle injury rushing has never been a part
29:32of his game, but I mean, I think he's just good.
29:35He's probably one of the last guys that aren't rushing and aren't young that I'm okay being my quarterback one.
29:42Then I'm quickly trying to follow up with a second quarterback to stabilize and have a a strong, you know, two solid quarterback twos.
29:49I guess if you want to view Dak is that although every time that he's been healthy, he's been a very solid quarterback one.
29:56So I just think, you know, it happens every season.
29:59Dak seems to just get undervalued. I don't know if it's fear about his injuries or fear that maybe went without Pickens,
30:06but without Pickens, he's also been able to do it with just CD lamb.
30:11So yeah, I'm pretty in on, you know, drafting Dak, especially if I don't, you know, go get a quarterback or the quarterbacks go really early in startups.
30:19Yeah. Am I bad about that? I was trying to bring up a presentation though, but I seem to have lost my
30:26window on the, I went back in and just cut you off there.
30:30But Taylor, what do you think about this Dak call here, man?
30:34I think Jose is a homer and we should just kidding.
30:37I actually, I like the call out. I'm personally, I've always been on the Dak train.
30:42I think he's burned me a couple of times, but also he's held value for the most part.
30:48So even in the seasons where he did poorly, I think you still had the ability to trade him for something substantial as a rebuilder.
30:55So I like guys like Dak. Dak, he's someone who you can acquire on a contender for a 27 first right now.
31:02A lot of people are willing to make that swap.
31:05And if he's your QB two and you're upgrading a guy like Jacoby Brissett from last year, or you're nervous about a Kyler Murray, something like that.
31:14I like going out and getting a guy like Dak.
31:17Now you got to be careful. I think sending a first right now for any vet, unless you think you're going to
31:24get multiple years out of them, because we always see injuries happen.
31:27And you can probably get Dak the second week of the preseason for a first, just like you can get him right now.
31:34So I don't think you need to go out and make sure that you get him on your team.
31:40But I think he's a guy I would put on my shopping list, if that makes sense.
31:46What do you think, J-Mac? I love the callout.
31:48And I think Dak is extremely underrated. You can get him in like a fifth round of startups right now.
31:55And yeah, sending a 27 first for him seems prudent.
31:58If you need a quarterback two for your team, especially if you're a contender, right?
32:02That 27 first is probably better spent, you know, getting a piece like this rather than waiting till we get to 2027.
32:09And now it's a late first and it's not as worth as much as it was now.
32:14That's something that we always kind of talk about here.
32:17But I mean, just looking, you know, over here at player profiler, which I was trying to put up on screen for
32:24you guys, but I mean, number two in pass attempts, number one in pace of play.
32:29He's, you know, 4,500 passing yards. He threw for 30 touchdowns last year.
32:33The addition of George Pickens to this team was so good for Dak Prescott.
32:38Yeah. I mean, and then on top of that, he still has, you know, his tight end Ferguson, who is a safety
32:44blanket when, you know, Pickens isn't there or CeeDee Lamb isn't there.
32:48He has that too. And they have a running back now, right?
32:52Javante Williams proved last year that he is who we thought he was four years ago before all the injuries hit him.
32:59And he was solid, solid. And I think the team overall is really good.
33:03The defense is still really bad, which again is what we want for fantasy because these guys are going to, I think
33:10that's why we've seen 600 pass attempts and, you know, a number one pace of play.
33:15And I love the call out here. It's great.
33:17I would caution though that that's probably going to get a little bit better.
33:22I mean, they did invest heavily draft into defense.
33:25So, I mean, I don't think it's going to turn overnight where they're going to all of a sudden be a top
33:31offense, but I just don't think every game they're going to let up 40 points.
33:36Maybe they'll only let up like 30 this season, but for fantasy wise, I think they'll continue to be very good.
33:43And I just wanted to harp back on something that Taylor said, because I thought it was actually a great dynasty nugget,
33:49which is like, if you have some of these players that you're looking at and you don't foresee any big movement changing
33:56their value now until the season starts, like he said, preseason week two, but even, you know, Dak's barely going to play in the preseason.
34:04Like you could even wait for week one or, you know, like something like that.
34:08With some of these players, especially some of these vets that we're going to be talking about, don't, you know, you don't
34:15need to go and do it now. Right? Like he said, put him on your shopping list and wait.
34:21You, there's no, you don't need to rush into things.
34:24We're still in June. We still have like three months until the season kicks off.
34:29Your 27 first as a contender is not going to change much in value in those three months.
34:34So I just think that that was a great little piece of like, you know, just dynasty, you know, moving away from Dak just in general.
34:43Like if you're aiming for a player whose value is not going to change, why not wait for training camp?
34:49We see it every single year in training camp, major brutal injuries to players.
34:53Um, maybe it's not even to Dak himself, but something happens to CD or something happens to Pickens.
34:59And now all of a sudden, you know, the outlook on Dak is way worse than you feel bad about sending that 27 first.
35:06So, um, I just thought that that was a really, um, smart, um, piece of knowledge that I wanted to make sure we kind of, I reiterate on.
35:15Yeah. I love the wisdom there. 20 years shining through.
35:18Good job, Taylor. Thank you. All right, let's get into my call out here.
35:22I'm just going to follow suit and call out my quarterback.
35:25It's a little crustier than the way you guys went.
35:29And it's Matt Stafford. I mean, how are you going to argue that you don't want the MVP on your team?
35:35He's going in the eighth and ninth rounds of startups, which honestly, it feels way too late.
35:40And in my latest startup, he went in the sixth, which I thought was way too early.
35:46But at the same time, the guy didn't have a quarterback and he needed one.
35:50He didn't have a pick in the seventh or eighth round.
35:54So I think he just reached and made it happen, but you could probably get Stafford for a second.
36:00Plus like a young player in a trade, especially if Stafford is, you know, misaligned and not on a contending team.
36:06Let's just talk about what he did in 2025, because it was unreal.
36:10The reason he's the MVP through for 4,700 yards and 46 touchdowns gave you 21 point fantasy points per game.
36:16And people are calling for the regression here. And maybe I get that.
36:20He didn't have an insane touchdown rate. It was 7.7%, but maybe not.
36:24Right. I mean, even if he does regress that, I don't think that regress, that doesn't mean he hits rock bottom here.
36:31If we give him an average touchdown percentage of, I think the league average is like 4.5 or something like that.
36:38That's still 30 touchdowns based on the same number of attempts, which is around 600.
36:42Plus I don't necessarily see those touchdowns regressing as long as Devante Adams stays healthy.
36:47We saw what Adams was for that passing offense last year.
36:50He was the go-to guy in the red zone.
36:53When they got within 10 yards of the red zone, Adams was the guy like Kyron kind of faded to the back.
37:00We saw his touchdowns dip because of this exact same fact.
37:03What did Adams have? He had 15 touchdowns last year.
37:06Crazy. If you were, I mean, tangentially go by Adams.
37:09If you want to buy into that, that hype of, of the touchdowns there.
37:14Cause I think that's a great flex play. Who's also super cheap.
37:17You get them in like the 11th round. Plus I think the Rams recent moves just inspire more confidence in Matt Stafford here.
37:25They sold out. They sent their first to go get, um, miles Garrett on their team, which I hate.
37:30No, sorry. Not miles Garrett. Is it miles Garrett?
37:33Yes. It's miles. Yeah. I hate as an NFC West fan here.
37:37And, you know, I don't know if you guys caught the rumors of this, but like Aaron Donald is hinting at a
37:44reunion with the Rams and coming out of retirement.
37:47I would, I would definitely hate that. I don't want to line up against Aaron Donald and miles Garrett.
37:52That would be absolutely terrifying in the NFC West.
37:55And they would put us all on notice here.
37:58But yeah, I think even if they do do that, they don't even need to lean on the run to get that done.
38:05Like Matt Stafford can still start it up. And if you check out my schedule, strength to schedule article, I put up
38:12on player profiler, they have a super tough strength to schedule.
38:15They are going to be in shootouts. They're playing really good teams and they're going to need to put up points.
38:22So I don't think that they're going to be able to lean on the run game here and let their defense do the work.
38:29I think they're still going to need to pass the ball.
38:33And I like Matt Stafford at where you're getting them.
38:36What do you think of this call Jose? Yeah.
38:39I mean, I think it's, you know, the, the reverse Homer ism as a good 49ers fan, you're calling for the Rams quarterback to, to bounce back.
38:47I think it's just a dangerous game. I mean, Matthew Stafford is the most in his career, prototypical guy of, if he
38:54doesn't throw for 30 touchdowns and 4,500 yards, you're not going to be happy.
38:58Now, obviously it depends, you know, with this call out, what you're, what you're expecting from him.
39:03If you're expecting a solid quarterback one, then you need him to get to 30 touchdowns in that yardage.
39:09I mean, the only other time that he was even close to this sort of finish was in 21.
39:15And he threw for 41 touchdowns then in 4,800 yards.
39:18Like if even years where he's thrown for 4,000 yards of his, if his touchdowns don't hit the 30 mark, he's just not that relevant for fantasy.
39:26I mean, in a super flex, sure. He's a very solid quarterback too.
39:30And I think that's great. If like you're taking him as your quarterback too, or maybe your third quarterback, and he's just
39:37like a upside projection, or you're taking them as your quarterback too, to have maybe, Hey, maybe all of a sudden my
39:44quarterback to spikes and he hits 35 touchdowns. And now all of a sudden my quarterback who's putting up, you know, top
39:51seven quarterback numbers and Hey, that's awesome. I just think that you need to be a little bit careful with, you know,
39:58just hoping that what happens last year happens again.
40:00I think the defense is going to have something to say about like how close some of these games may be.
40:07But, you know, they did lose verse and they got Garrett.
40:10So, I mean, it's, it's a definitely a significant improvement, but you know, how many shootouts, how much is he going to have to do?
40:18I think like you said, the fact that they have a really tough schedule helps with that.
40:23It just, I just be cautious of thinking that he can repeat.
40:27I mean, the, I'm not, I wasn't one to buy into the injury concerns that he was pretty much going to be
40:34put in the grave like last year. Just, I mean, the back is definitely concerning, but I mean, for the last three
40:41years, he's pretty much played every single game, except missing like one or two here.
40:45So he hasn't had a significant injury, but, but you know, he took 20 plus sacks last year, which was a decent amount.
40:52So it's not like he couldn't hold up to the NFL season.
40:56They went far into the playoffs. So I don't hate the call out.
41:00I just be cautious of if you're going for Stafford, I would temper your expectations and hope you get a quarterback one
41:07finish, but you probably are more likely than likely looking at a quarterback to finish, which in super flex, that's perfectly fine.
41:14Right? Like it is. He's not your, like in that situation, you just said in that startup, that's the guy's quarterback one.
41:21I hate that scenario. I really don't want Matthew Stafford leading my, my quarterback room.
41:25you know, but apart from that, I, you know, I think he's, he's a cheaper option.
41:30If you're a contender to go get to either sure up your quarterback room or, you know, a retool if you lost,
41:37maybe you were counting on fields last year or, um, you know, somebody like that, or Gino Smith, and you're not too
41:44excited about him with the jets or, or whatever.
41:47Yeah. Malik Willis is that dude's QB too. So it's, it's rough for him, but Taylor, what do you think of the mass Africa?
41:54I think you should go trade for that guy's 20, 28 first right now.
41:58Uh, you know, I'm going to take this a little bit of a different angle because I, I, as much as I
42:05want to believe in Stafford, I think there's a reality check that comes into play as far as, is he available in your league?
42:13Because most people last year who had Matt Stafford on any sort of a rebuilding team traded him away at the deadline
42:19or prior to the deadline, because he was having such a good season.
42:23So he's on a lot of rosters for contenders after last year.
42:27So people aren't as likely to give him up because he's what they need.
42:31You know, if he's their QB two and they've got Malik Willis as their QB three or Daniel Jones as their QB
42:38three, they don't have a lot of incentive to trade him away unless you're going to overpay.
42:43And I would say any sort of a first right now is an overpay a 20, 28 first.
42:49In my opinion, for Matt Stafford is the maximum that I'd want to spend, but I'm always hesitant to pay two years
42:56out in draft picks for guys that are unlikely to still be playing in two years.
43:01Like you're kind of giving up that first, you're kind of lighting it on fire and hoping that you can stay warm long enough to win a championship.
43:09So the question to me is, is he available in your league?
43:13And are you willing to pay that? Now I went out and tried to get Amon Ross, St.
43:19Brown using Jalen hurts and asked for Matt Stafford back in the deal.
43:23Now I also had, um, um, Zay flowers in it.
43:26So it was Hertz and flowers for Amon raw and Stafford.
43:29And the guy came back to me and said, he doesn't see much of a difference between Matt Stafford and Jalen hurts,
43:36because he thinks both of them could be without a starting quarterback job in two years.
43:41And he thinks that both of them could be unable to run in two years.
43:46And so people have narratives for why they want to value Stafford as highly as they do.
43:51So as much as I appreciate the crusty vet call out, I almost feel like he's a crusty vet who's gold plated
43:58and everyone wants you to pay as though he's pure gold.
44:01And I'm not at that stage anymore. Yeah, no, that's actually a really fair point to call out here.
44:07And so maybe he's more of a startup play than he is, you know, in, in season or, um, um, a seasoned dynasty rather.
44:14So I do like that shout. All right, Taylor, why don't you kick us off with your second vet here, man?
44:21So we talked briefly about the, well, not briefly.
44:24We talked plenty about the Eagles situation, but we didn't really talk about Saquon Barkley.
44:28And I think Saquon is not in the passing game per se going to be a huge beneficiary of the AJ Brown trade.
44:35But I think in their scheme, they're going to be run heavy again.
44:39They're going to make sure that they're trying to stay ahead of the sticks with him on first and second down.
44:46I think there's a lot of potential for him to be more involved in, uh, you know, quick screen game than he was last year.
44:54We saw a lot more of that in his record breaking season when he was getting some wheel routes and some Texas
45:00routes and, you know, some more exciting plays, let's say without AJ Brown on the field, they're going to have to have some more explosives.
45:08So Saquon is obviously the guy that they can look to for that.
45:12Now, if we want to compare his seasons and say, you know, is he dropping off?
45:17Is he getting old? Yes. He's going to be 29, but outside of his record breaking season, his first year with the Eagles, he's the same guy.
45:26He's always been, I mean, he's getting around 280 attempts a year.
45:29He's getting 1100 yards. He's, you know, last year, he only had seven touchdowns, but the giants, he rarely broke double digit touchdowns.
45:36So if we think that number can go up, all he has to do is, you know, keep getting the same carries.
45:43He's been getting stay healthy. Like he's been outside of his one catastrophic injury.
45:47And he's in my opinion, a high-end RB two with RB one overall upside.
45:52Still, he still has that upside. I'm not, I'm not saying he's going to be a top three guy, but he's definitely still has that capability.
46:00And in a league where bell cows are more difficult to find than ever.
46:04I really appreciate having a guy on my roster that I know is going to be the focal point every week.
46:11So if he disappoints me, it's because the Eagles let him down.
46:14It's not because he's not good enough or because his opportunity wasn't there.
46:18So if I can go out and get Saquon for a contending 27 first, I'm going to make that move.
46:25I think I can get two really good years out of him.
46:28Plus the ability to trade him after those years, or I can get this year out of him and maybe trade him again for a 28 first.
46:37And I think having that rental or a contender is just so appealing because you can go out and get an RB
46:43one guy for, I mean a 27 first right now.
46:47Some people want that for Travis a chance. Some people want that for Javante Williams.
46:51I'd rather have Saquon Barkley than either of those guys, even with the age differences.
46:56So if I'm, let's say projected to be a top five, top six team, and I think I'm one running back away,
47:03I'm willing to give my 27 first for that.
47:05If I'm one running back away, I'm not saying one running back away and I punted at tight end.
47:11And my QB two is Daniel Jones. Like that's not the team to do it on, but if you are ready to
47:18go for this season and you just have that one hole, I'm more than fine.
47:23Sending my premium capital for Saquon. Yeah. No, I love the call out.
47:27Saquon's been a huge target of mine and startups.
47:30I've been, you get them in like the fifth round and I've been trying to concentrate all my picks, you know, in those rounds.
47:37And then I'll attack like quarterback early or wide receivers early.
47:40And then he'll be my, my running back to kind of put together a contending spot there.
47:46So I actually think that he's due for a really big bounce back season too.
47:50I think that the system is what really what let him down last year.
47:55So I'm expecting a lot more out of Sean Mannion.
47:58I know he's a first time play caller here, but I do like the, the offensive system that he's bringing in here.
48:05And I think it will be featured around play action and Saquon is just going to eat because of that.
48:11Jose, what do you say about Saquon? Yeah, man.
48:13I mean, you're, you're the math guy. So like, what's the average position when you finish first and then you, finish 14th,
48:20what would that make his average position? Seven. And so I think he finishes right there, like right in the seven, eight, nine.
48:27Like, I think that's just like what Taylor was saying.
48:30Like that's, that's kind of classic Saquon. I think it's hard to project him, you know, or project anybody ever, you know,
48:37getting to 2000 yards and what that, you know, special season was.
48:41But I mean, the fact that he is, there isn't very many running backs in the NFL who you would say are
48:48even going to get the opportunity to do that and have the talent to do that.
48:53Right. Like, I mean, you think of like McCaffrey, he stays healthy, a B John, a Gibbs.
48:58And I don't even know if you, there's another guy that you would say would have enough opportunity and has the talent to get back to that.
49:06He definitely still does. I mean, if you watch the Eagles last year, it didn't seem like he was just like decrepit
49:13and couldn't move and, you know, look slow. I mean, it just looked like the Eagles were not nearly as good and
49:20he just didn't have as big of a holes and as good of opportunities to do what he can do as a special player.
49:27So I think he's, he's a very solid RB one.
49:31I agree. If, if that's the price that you have to pay to get Saquon for the next two years to be
49:37a top contender, I think that's great. And I think you should definitely do that.
49:42He should definitely be a target. He's another guy, like we were talking about earlier though, that, you know, his stock, I
49:49don't think can do much, you know, it can't go up very much more.
49:53It's probably going to stay very solid where it's at.
49:56So you want to wait to make sure he gets through training camp healthy, you know that's, you know, another time that
50:03you could probably wait until, or right before the season to, to make that trade.
50:08The only thing to be worried about there is if another contender comes in and swoops in, but otherwise I think, you
50:14know, Saquon's pretty good to hold his value and have a bounce back season.
50:19I mean, we talk about a bounce back season.
50:22It was not like last season. I think it was just, you know, the expectations that people had on him made it
50:28so that it felt bad, but I mean, he was a, what a top 14 or something like that.
50:34Like it wasn't some catastrophic, you know, barely even relevant fantasy.
50:38I mean, yeah, he finished top 14 in a half PPR.
50:41And I mean, it was, it was a little rough week to week and you didn't get any of those 30 point
50:48game, you know, week winning type of performances except one time, I think last year, but he was very solid at like,
50:55you know, 14, I think points per game, something like that.
50:58So it wasn't, you know, a horrific type of thing.
51:01It's just a big contrast compared to his, overall one running back finish.
51:05But yeah, I think Saquon's a great shot there.
51:08If the, the values deflated because of that kind of, you know, not so good season last year.
51:13I definitely drafted him higher than the running back 14.
51:17So it felt really bad. I don't, I don't want to be dismissed in my feelings here.
51:22So, all right, Jose, why don't you go ahead and give us your next bet, man?
51:27Yeah. So I have, you know, to your chagrin or for your happiness here, I got a 49 or on my list and it's Mike Evans.
51:35I think the only thing that's stopping Mike Evans from being, you know, a top end wide receiver here next year is,
51:42is if he can just keep the substation away.
51:44Yes. We saw what happened last year with his hamstring injury, you know, injuries and then coming back and getting knocked out.
51:51Like it was not great. I think it was a shoulder and then the concussion.
51:56So, I mean, it sucked to see his thousand yard season streak come to an end.
52:01I think Mike Evans is just a great all around player.
52:04I mean, he is the definition of a crusty old vet.
52:08He's 32. So, you know, it's all like how much injury and how much risk are you willing to take on?
52:14I don't think that Mike Evans though, is somebody that's particularly expensive.
52:18If for whatever reason, he's still out there on, on a, you know, or he got, he got thrown into a trade to a rebuilder.
52:26Who's now looking to flip him. He's definitely a guy I'm waiting for the season, maybe even in season to try to
52:32make a move on and trade for. But otherwise, yeah, man, I think Mike Evans is, is a great shout.
52:39He's probably under valid. Cause people are scared about the hamstrings, the injuries, the injury history with the 49ers, all of it.
52:45But I mean, if he stays healthy, man, I think there's nobody else worth throwing the ball to basically.
52:51In that team. So, especially when Kittles hurt. So it's pretty much Mike Evans and nobody else.
52:56The way I'm seeing it, I know people like Ricky Pierce, but he's the guy that has also shown he can't stay healthy and he's a lot younger.
53:05So I love Mike Evans on a contender. I definitely love him more on a best ball team.
53:11If you don't have to, you know, be worried that he's going to get injured one year weaker or the other, but
53:18yeah, he's kind of my wide receiver that I'm looking at.
53:21Yeah. I love the shot. What do you have to say, Taylor?
53:25I think it's a terrible call. No, I actually, I can see everything that you're saying, Jose.
53:30I love the idea of Evans coming into San Francisco and really having a strong presence on that offense and doing well.
53:37I can see a world where that happens. I'm concerned about the injury.
53:41I don't say that about every player. That's not something that I go into and say, well, you know, they might get injured.
53:48That's the tough luck. We've seen it enough with Mike Evans and he's getting older.
53:52And I just don't know what's going on in San Francisco, but they already have plenty of problems when it comes to staying healthy.
54:00And whether that means their training facility or their recovery period or whatever it is, I don't like the matching of an
54:07injured guy who's getting older on an often injured team.
54:10To me, I'd rather keep my 27 second and do something else with it.
54:14I think that's probably what it costs to get him unless someone's like in a rookie draft and they're willing to trade
54:21a 26 pick on the clock for Evans. I'm a fan of that.
54:25If you're still in your rookie drafts, get him instead of whoever your 206 is this year or your 204.
54:31But I think we talked about, you know, saving your picks until it's in season.
54:36If you have to Evans is the guy where if he comes out and scores 20 points on the first game, he's
54:43probably still going to cost the 27 second. He's not going to go up to a first round draft pick.
54:49He's not going to cost much more than a second.
54:52So I'd rather see it first and then go get him if I have to.
54:57But I think I'm probably out on the Mike Evans experience when he is in San Francisco because he's passed what I would consider a safe dynasty asset.
55:05One injury in the middle of the season. And his value might be zero for the rest of his career because now he's not playing this year.
55:14He doesn't play the next year. He's done like that's a potential on the table for Mike Evans.
55:19And that's something that concerns me. So if I'm.
55:22It's the trade deadline. And Evans has been balling out and I can get him at that point, you know, for a 27 second.
55:29And I've already gone through the season and made my playoffs without him.
55:33Maybe it's a different story. But right now, Jose, I think if we were in the same startup, we'd probably be a
55:40couple rounds apart on where we would take Mike Evans.
55:43No, I think it's fair to say all that about Mike Evans.
55:47I mean, he's going to be 33 when he plays this season.
55:51Like we said, he has an injury history and the 49ers also have an injury history.
55:56So like I get it. But I think the upside is is there.
56:00And I think. I think paying a second for him in season, you might be able to get that done early in the season.
56:07If he, you know, has one or two breakout games.
56:10But if he's going off in season and he's, you know, consistently a top wide receiver or not a top wide receiver
56:17one, but a wide receiver one in finishes. I think you're going to see him go for first, like late first and in season.
56:24So I don't even think it's going to take a second to get Mike Evans off a lot of teams.
56:31Although maybe it might like we're saying, I think that this asset is just going to align with contending teams.
56:37So much like Matt Stafford, you're going to have a hard time getting this off of another player's team because he is
56:44going to be kind of that gold plated veteran like Taylor was mentioning earlier.
56:48So. Jose, any closing thoughts on Evans here before we kind of go into ad break?
56:53No, we're good. Cool. Let's do it. Let's take a quick break here and we'll jump back out of it on the other side.
57:00I'll give you guys my second bet. You don't wash your jersey during a win streak.
57:05You don't switch seats when your team's up big and you definitely don't shave during the playoffs.
57:10When things are working, you don't change them. That's why when you drink Jägermeister, you drink it ice cold.
57:16Anything else? Well, that'd just be bad luck. Drink it cold or don't drink it at all.
57:22Jägermeister. Damn, that's cold. Drink responsibly. Jägermeister liqueur, 35% alcohol by volume.
57:25Imported by Mast Jägermeister, U.S. White Plains, New York.
57:28You thought this was your run club era. Turns out, it was more of a thinking about run club era.
57:34The good news? Someone's marathon training is about to start.
57:37Sell your workout gear on Depop. Just snap a few photos and we'll take care of the rest.
57:43They get their race day fit and you get a payout for trying.
57:47Someone on Depop wants what you've got. Start selling now.
57:50Depop. Where taste recognizes taste. All right, welcome back.
57:53We're going to get into the next vet here, which is going to be Terry McLaurin.
57:58I love Terry McLaurin and I've been trying to get him anywhere I can.
58:02In 2025, he had an underperforming season in terms of the stat book, but he was still really great.
58:08He had 23.6 targets per outrun, 2.29 yards per outrun, 0.13 first downs per outrun.
58:13He had a 36% air yard share. No decline present in terms of the peripherals here.
58:18Just injured and a product of a bad offense and other injuries around him.
58:22Jaden Daniels going down really hurt that offense in general.
58:25And then on top of that, there's a new offensive scheme in town.
58:29They have offensive coordinator David Blau, who's talking a big game for Terry McLaurin, wanting to get him 10 targets a game.
58:36And that just sounds really appealing to me. I don't know if it's going to come true, but I'm going to buy
58:43into it because the price is not much. I mean, he's 30 years old right now.
58:48And because he had a down season last year, I think that the price on him is suppressed because of that.
58:54But in startups, you're getting them in the 10th round a lot of times.
58:58I think if you were to trade for him in a league that's already established, you're probably looking at, I don't know,
59:05a second plus, maybe like an early player or something like that.
59:09And I think that he might be one of those assets that isn't misaligned.
59:13He might be on a team from a previous year and they still had him on there hoping that they were going
59:20to get something good out of him. Maybe he's on a productive struggle team.
59:24You can see him a number of ways going for that.
59:28But when it comes to David Blau too, I think that there's just a lot of hype from within.
59:34The players, the coaches, the managers, they're all kind of buying in on the offensive system that he's bringing.
59:40And I really like hearing all that. There's a lot of talk of him running heavier personnel, which I think is conducive to a target funnel type offense.
59:48Like we're saying here, 10 targets per game. I'm kind of thinking about how the Rams, the Seahawks and the Niners are
59:55all kind of funneling targets and they all run heavier personnel, at least in these past couple years they have.
60:01So I could see that being a reality here for Terry McLaurin.
60:05And also kind of a side note, I think that there's some hype for the Washington tight ends.
60:10I think Senate has been kind of slept on a little bit or maybe I'm just delusional.
60:16But I think that if they do run multiple tight end sets and run heavier personnel, I think Senate could actually be a productive piece of this offense.
60:24I know they invested in Chigakonkwo and free agency, and that's where all the hype has been going.
60:30But Senate is just an afterthought now. Like I bet if you sent a fourth round pick for Ben Senate, you'd probably
60:37be able to lift them off of a team because nobody is thinking that he's going to be something.
60:43But he might be something with the way that we see this sort of offensive scheme be efficient and operate, getting those tight ends involved sparsely.
60:51Probably better in a best ball league, if I'm being honest.
60:54But if you play in one of those or deeper leagues, then it could be that guy.
60:59So Taylor, what do you think about this call here, man?
61:03Terry McLaurin is a guy that I like to have if I have Jaden Daniels.
61:07I don't always stack my teams, especially if there's, you know, 11 starters or something like that, 12 starters.
61:13But in a start nine, even in start 10, I do like to stack certain offenses.
61:18CeeDee Lamb and Dak is a stack that I like to have.
61:22I think McLaurin and Jaden Daniels, because if Daniels is going to have three passing touchdowns, there's a good chance one or
61:29two of them is going to be to McLaurin.
61:31Like those guys had a great rapport during Daniels first year.
61:35And then, like you said last year, the injuries just derailed them entirely.
61:39So I'm kind of just forgetting about what happened last year.
61:42I'm taking the dip that's out there. I'm buying as a, you know, we keep saying 27 second.
61:48I like to get more creative with my trades.
61:51I like to try and keep those obvious currencies.
61:53Like I think of the 27 second is like a $5 bill, right?
61:57Like you can always go out and buy something for five bucks.
62:01It might not be your favorite thing, but you can fill a spot with it.
62:06You can use your second. For a guy like McLaurin, I would rather try to do like a two for one with my players.
62:13I'd rather try to, you know, maybe tear down from someone if that's the perception and get a McLaurin and a second from them.
62:21I'm not going to try and go out and spend my second for him because I probably need a running back on
62:27my teams or I might want to buy someone in season.
62:31That's just my personal preference, but I am buying McLaurin.
62:34He's just a guy that I'm trying to do it with a different cost.
62:38Yeah, no, that's totally fair. Jose, what do you got on Terry McLaurin, man?
62:43Yeah, I think it's kind of a two way street where you need Jaden Daniels to stay healthy because we saw they kind of never really matched up.
62:51It seemed like at the beginning it was McLaurin was hurt and then Daniels was out of the lineup.
62:57And the backup is not somebody you super trust to get Terry McLaurin the ball.
63:02I think if you can have them paired up and they play most of the season, it should be a lot better.
63:09And that's what you're banking on. And, you know, that's pretty much it.
63:13I mean, it's just an injury history for both.
63:15And also the departure of what was the guy?
63:18He just went to the Rams. He was the OC.
63:21Former Cardinals head coach. Oh, yeah, that guy. That guy, you know who I'm talking about.
63:26You talking about Kingsbury? Kingsbury, there you go. Cliff.
63:29I think, you know, he's pretty good. Like for an OC, I don't think he's a great head coach, but I think
63:36in terms of OC, I think he does a lot of good stuff.
63:40So I think that's also, you know, a bit of a hit to their potential.
63:44But I think the floor is there. And I think a lot of people age and his bad season last year have him undervalued.
63:52So I wouldn't hate to pick up McLaurin as a, you know, as a contender for, you know, my wide receiver four or five flex type of spot.
64:01So solid. Okay, cool. Let's blitz through these last three guys.
64:04I don't think we're going to get to our bonus guys.
64:07So go ahead and shout them out if you want to.
64:11But let's keep it brief on these next guys and get through them pretty quickly here.
64:16So Taylor, why don't you shout out your last veteran here?
64:19So my last one is a wide receiver. I went with T Higgins.
64:23I mentioned him earlier as a guy that I think similar with Devonta Smith.
64:27You know, I mentioned he's kind of like a mid wide receiver to somewhere in that 16 to 14 range.
64:34I think Higgins has the potential to have spike weeks that can win you weeks, especially if Chase misses time for any reason.
64:41We've seen him be able to step in and take a huge target share.
64:45I've been able to acquire T Higgins and some deals this offseason, you know, two seconds.
64:50When I've been on the clock, I was able to trade the 108, the 204 and the 208 for Higgins and DJ Moore.
64:57I don't know if that's still out there, but if someone likes someone at the 108 and you can just do the 108 for T Higgins straight up.
65:06I'm into something like that. I think this year's class, any, any, you know, if you're past the 105, go and get a guy like T Higgins.
65:14That's, that's my play. No, I love it. And I think that I often talk about how wide receiver twos do this
65:21cycle where whoever was the better wide receiver to, and I'm talking about for their team specifically for that year.
65:27Whoever was the better one is always boosted up in the rankings next year.
65:31T Higgins wasn't that guy last year. And because of that, he kind of falls down below the rankings.
65:37But yeah, I mean, what, he's 27 years old.
65:40And I think he's still got some, some good years left in him.
65:44Two seconds is a really good price. I would love to pay that.
65:48Even the 108, that sounds really good. Jose, what do you think about the T Higgins call?
65:53Yeah, I love it. I mean, I'm, I think the Bengals offense is always just, is Joe Burrow going to be healthy?
66:00But I mean, they, they, you know, they have their Joe Flacco backup plan that worked out pretty well last year once it got rolling.
66:08So I'm not too scared about it as much this season.
66:11I think T Higgins is pretty much an alpha and almost like he could be in every wide receiver room besides like
66:18when he's playing with a chase or Jefferson or, or one of these other guys.
66:23But he has the talent. He also obviously has his own injury concerns.
66:27I don't think he's barely ever played a full season except maybe it's like 2022, maybe.
66:32I don't know. But yeah, he's barely ever played a full season.
66:36So, you know what you're getting with him in terms of that, you just be prepared for him to miss, you know,
66:42two to three weeks and do that. But I think he's a great player to have as your wide receiver three or,
66:49you know, one of those, not your ace, but the guy that you put in your wide receiver three or your flex.
66:56And all of a sudden he has a 30 point game and he wins you the week from the flex spot.
67:02Like he's that type of player. And that's, you need those guys and contending teams.
67:07You need guys that, Hey, all of a sudden my wide receiver one, Jason only put up 10 points, but Oh, look at that.
67:14You know, Higgins came through with two touchdowns and a hundred yards and save, you know, save my week that way.
67:21Right. Like he's, he's that he's those type of players that I think I call glue pieces, the dynasty rosters, right.
67:27They're not the crown jewel, but they're a very important part that kind of holds it together.
67:33Yeah. It's just part of the T Higgins experience, right.
67:36It's very boom bust. And part of that bust is the injury games too.
67:40So, um, all right, Jose, who do you got next for your last bet here, man?
67:45Yeah, I mean, I'll shout them out. I don't know exactly ADP wise, if they're going very close to each other, but
67:52it's two kind of older running backs. It's, uh, David Montgomery and, um, Tony Pollard.
67:57Um, I do like the rookie that they drafted in, um, in, uh, Nick, Tennessee.
68:01Yeah. Nick Singleton. I have been picking up about him a lot, but I'm not so sure that that's going to, you
68:08know, materialize until later in the season. So, I mean, you know, between these two guys, I think you have a running
68:15back too solid between them in the couple of weeks.
68:18They're both old and crusty, but I mean, Monty should be the main guy coming out of Houston.
68:23We'll see how their offense can do. And Pollard, it seems very clear.
68:27I mean, Padre Spears can't stay healthy. So I'm not too worried about it.
68:32I think on an ascending offense, like the Tennessee Titans, like we talked about last week with, with chef, we talked about, um, Cam Wardan.
68:40We talked about, uh, Ted or, uh, sorry, Tate.
68:42Um, it was all good stuff. So, um, you know, I, I think that I, I like Pollard and Monty just as
68:49those guys, um, those old guys that we always talk about that cost you nothing.
68:54Like maybe like a Javante Williams last season or some of these guys that you can get for thirds.
69:00Um, now that all of a sudden, Hey, look, they had a very solid RB two season and they were very pivotal,
69:06you know, more glue to your, um, dynasty championship.
69:09Yeah, no, I, I love the call out here.
69:12Taylor, what do you think of Tony Pollard or David Montgomery?
69:15It seems like Monty has pretty good trade value right now.
69:19I think if you can go out and swap Montgomery for Pollard and gain a third, that's something I would be interested in.
69:26I think that's out there. What I've seen in startups now, especially if rookies are included in the draft, Singleton is going ahead of Pollard.
69:34I don't think that's how it's going to play out.
69:37I like Pollard quite a bit more than Singleton, but he's been there in like the 14th round.
69:42So he's a guy that I'm taking as my RB three, knowing that I can use him as an RB two on
69:49bi-weeks or if an injury strikes something like that.
69:52And he has flex potential, but he's not someone I'm taking Montgomery the same way.
69:57I'm not relying on them as my RB two on a contending team.
70:01They need to be my three or four. Yeah.
70:03And I think that's where they're being priced at too, is where you can kind of grab them and stash them and
70:10either put them into the flex or, you know, keep them for the bi-weeks like Taylor saying.
70:15And yeah, I think they're both really cheap. I would probably lean Monty over Pollard there, but I do like the play
70:22of, you know, getting a Pollard plus for Monty.
70:25I think that's, that's pretty savvy. Okay. Much like Taylor was saying about getting these guys in the late rounds of startup,
70:32JK Dobbins, man, that's my last guy here. He's just good, like plain and simple.
70:36I think even coming into the league, he had a lot of hype, but we just never saw from him because of,
70:43you know, ACL injury after ACL injury, after Achilles injury, those injuries are where it's why he's being priced where he is.
70:50And I mean, it's also a little bit part of his age too, but I think the injury risk is really driving that dip.
70:57But in 2025, he had a 62.3% opportunity share when he played, he was eighth in yards per carry out of the whole league with five.
71:06He also has like 117.2 EPX, which is the player profiler score here talking about how explosive he is on the ground.
71:12He doesn't really get a lot of receiving work.
71:15That's kind of been RJ Harvey's role. And, um, but I think that just makes him a better play in half PPR.
71:22And also like, what if, what if Dobbins is healthy for a year?
71:26Like the injury concern narrative is legit, but I also kind of love betting against those injury and injury narratives when the price is right.
71:34And the price is extremely right. Like, I think you can send a late 26 second for him.
71:39In fact, I did that in one of my leagues and he's now in my flex because of it or an 11th
71:46round startup pick, maybe even later, you might even be able to get him in the 12th.
71:51And plus with like this 2027 hype, you might be able to send a third or maybe a couple of thirds to get him.
71:59I also love the arbitrage play of taking him in a startup with Charbonnet, getting, you know, the first half production in Dobbins.
72:06If you account for that injury history. And then the second half play of Charbonnet, who I think is really undervalued in
72:13dynasty startups right now because of Jadarian price is kind of driving that price lower on Charbonnet.
72:18But I'm not really factoring in Charbonnet price. I think Charbonnet is probably the guy to go to.
72:23And I like that. That's the arbitrage play for me.
72:27So pairing Dobbins and Charbonnet together, I think you can get an RB or starting RB RB2 for the whole year between those two.
72:34If you account for Dobbins going down, if he doesn't go down, then hey, then you just have two players that you
72:41can start in the later half of the year.
72:44So I like him as a decent RB2 and an excellent flex play in deeper leagues.
72:49How do you feel about J.K. Dobbins here, Jose?
72:51Yeah, I mean, like if you can glue kind of, I mean, sorry, Zach Charbonnet and J.K.
72:57Dobbins together, you'd have like a very solid one running back.
73:00I just think that the J.K. Dobbins experience has been way too brutal of an experience in overall.
73:06Like we talk about injury history, but like and we've talked about a lot of vets, Mike Evans, a lot of guys that have injured.
73:13But I mean, if you had to put money on which one of these guys and you never want to see people get injured.
73:21But if you had to say which one of these guys we've talked about this year would end up with a decent injury.
73:28I mean, J.K. Dobbins has barely ever played more than like 13.
73:32I mean, especially in the last couple of years.
73:34And it's just the toll that those brutal injuries take on him.
73:38It does seem like he always bounced back ACL after ACL after Killes and now the foot last year.
73:44But I think if you're going to take a shot on the on the Denver backfield, I think he's probably the cheapest.
73:51Right. I mean, besides like the guys that have no no name whatsoever.
73:55But between Coleman Dobbins and Harvey, he's probably one of the cheaper options.
73:59If you wanted to take a shot, he is probably the guy that has the most likelihood to get most of the reps compared to the other guys.
74:07So that's something. But I think it's just he can only be, you know, your fourth running back.
74:13You're like, you know, something real deep where you're like, hey, like if this turns out great, if, you know, I can
74:20flex him for three, four weeks and then, you know, the injury or something or he loses the job.
74:26And so be it just somebody that you're not accounting for, but maybe just a little hopeful surprise at the end of
74:32the season or as you get through the season.
74:35He's definitely not somebody I'm trying to acquire really in any sort of meaningful way.
74:40But I can see it. I mean, I see what you're saying, the path forward.
74:45I just I can't I can't believe I'm not I'm an unbeliever.
74:48No, that's fine. Yeah. It takes a lot of a lot of balls to kind of bet on an injury risk like that.
74:55But but also you have Harvey and you have Jonah Coleman going above him in startups.
75:00That's I just feel like that's very mispriced. But Taylor, I don't know.
75:04Are you seeing the same thing as Jose is or do you feel like he's a goodbye?
75:10So I think J.K. Dobbins is one of those guys that you can go out and get before the season starts.
75:16That's that's like, you know, week one, all the hype has been built around Jonah Coleman.
75:21You know, Sean Payton has been hyping up Harvey because they're trying to boost his confidence, even though he's not going to be the guy.
75:29Like I just see his price getting to a point where you can send a third, get Dobbins and then start him a handful of weeks.
75:37I put more value into a player that I can reliably start six times a year than a player that I start 12 times.
75:44And then he gets me duds like I want a guy that I can put in my lineup.
75:50I know I'm getting 12, 15 points out of him and maybe he's not available every week.
75:55But when he is, I can depend on him.
75:58And I think Dobbins is still that guy. I think he's in an offense where he can be that guy.
76:04And, you know, like you said, sometimes you got to zig and.
76:08Paying a third for a guy who everyone thinks is going to get injured right before the season starts is the kind
76:15of move that can make the difference between a playoff push and a championship run.
76:19Yeah, absolutely. I mean that he made one of my teams last year.
76:23I sent I was big on RJ Harvey and I had RJ Harvey on my team when the Dobbins news came that he was signing with the Broncos.
76:32The manager sent me, hey, here's Dobbins. Give me a third.
76:35And I was like, gladly. Like, I get a running back handcuff here where I was, you know, didn't feel great about it.
76:42And he ended up being in my lineup until he got injured.
76:46He was just there weekly as my running back, too.
76:49So, man, I can't agree more with that. I mean, I love the call out of my call out of Dobbins.
76:56But I love that you agree with it, Taylor.
76:58But all right. Well, if we want, go ahead and shout out our bonuses.
77:03Give me your elevator pitch on why you have this guy on a bye.
77:07Taylor, go ahead. DJ Moore. We've seen him do it with quarterbacks with lesser talent.
77:12He's come out and been a wide receiver one.
77:15I think that, you know, there's a lot going on in Buffalo in that wide receiver room.
77:20Whoever can come out with a vengeance is probably going to be the guy that Josh Allen looks to.
77:26I could see him having that veteran understanding with a guy like DJ Moore and just saying, hey, we're going to push this as far as we can.
77:34And there's just a lot of opportunity for him.
77:37And his cost is, you know, a second and a third.
77:41So go out and get him if you need a receiver.
77:44I like getting a guy like him for a second and a third versus, say, Mike Evans for a late second or something like that.
77:52I just got to poke at Jose because it affects J-Mac's team.
77:55It affects Jose's call. You know, it just works out well.
77:59Two for one. All right. My bonus here is Travis Kelsey.
78:02Rice is a knucklehead. Targets go somewhere. And he's super cheap.
78:06I mean, the dude is a Hall of Famer.
78:08I don't care about his age. If I need points, he's going to be on my team at the price that he's at.
78:15I think you could probably get him for a third, you know, maybe a 20, 28 second.
78:21You have to send it to get him. But in startups, his ADP and sleeper is the 14th round.
78:27But Taylor and I were talking beforehand. That's not usually where he's going.
78:31He's usually going in the 11th or 12th round.
78:33And that's with tight end premiums, I think. And he's an excellent flex in tight end premiums, especially in the 11th or 12th round.
78:41He's usually a bench asset at that point if you've built your team right.
78:45So Travis Kelsey, get it done. Jose, you already called out your guy, but did you want to say any more on any of those guys?
78:53No? No, we're good. Let's do it then. Let's end this show.
78:57Taylor, thank you, man, so much for coming on.
79:00This was a lot of fun. Hopefully we can get you back on here in the future.
79:05But before we go, why don't you shout out all your work, what you're doing, where people can find your content and give them all the good stuff.
