Antonio Williams

PositiveUsage2:06

Antonio Williams impressed in his debut with 4 receptions, 64 yards, and a touchdown. Despite the Stephon Diggs signing, the source believes Williams has earned a spot and will see long-term target share with Jayden Daniels.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

PositiveUsage14:02

Caleb Douglas recorded a 22% target share and 81% route participation in week one, finishing with 5 receptions for 94 yards. The source views him as a flex-worthy player and a strong value, suggesting he should be used as a piece to tier up in trades rather than sold for a second-round pick.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveUsage22:48

Despite Kalen Black receiving more rushing attempts, Christian McCaffrey remains the primary fantasy asset due to his high-value usage, including a 23% target share compared to Black's 2.9%. The team's strategy of using Black to keep McCaffrey fresh mirrors the successful Seahawks approach with Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet, which should benefit McCaffrey for the fantasy playoffs.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

NegativeProjection18:22

Denzel Boston is viewed as a long-term hold with red-zone upside, though the source advises keeping him on benches for now due to the anemic nature of the Browns' offense.

Insight page

Devin Singletary

NegativeUsage29:41

Devin Singletary saw significant route participation (57%) in week one, but this was likely a situational result of game flow rather than a permanent shift in the Giants' offensive game plan. He is not viewed as a major threat to Scadabo's long-term fantasy value.

Insight page

Emeka Egbuka

NegativeProjection10:17

The source is tempered on Emeka Egbuka, projecting a ceiling of WR14 and a potential finish around WR22 due to the inconsistent nature of the Tampa Bay offense. Despite leading the team in receptions, the source notes he is being drafted at top-10 prices, which may be overvalued.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveBreakout26:08

Jadarian Price looked explosive in his rookie debut, averaging over five yards per carry on 10 attempts. While he is not yet a locked-in RB2, his role is expected to grow, and he is a viable flex-worthy play with upside, especially in games where the Seahawks look to control the clock.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveUsage42:42

Jeremiah Love saw 44% of snaps and an 8.1% target share in Week 1, with route participation matching Tyler Allgeier at 38.5%. Despite nursing an ankle injury, he recorded 11 attempts for 41 yards and a touchdown, which the source views as highly encouraging for dynasty owners.

Insight page

Malik Washington

NegativeUsage14:52

Malik Washington saw significant usage with a 97.3% route participation rate and a 29.6% target share, though he did record a fumble late in the game.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBreakout0:07

The source identifies Parker Washington as a former undrafted rookie who is poised to break out, noting that most people did not anticipate this emergence.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout46:54

The source identifies Parker Washington as a breakout candidate, noting that most people did not see his potential coming as a former undrafted rookie.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

PositiveSleeper10:12

Ted Hurst saw involvement in his rookie debut, scoring 6 fantasy points. The source views this as an encouraging start for a rookie and notes he benefits from Tampa Bay's high usage of 11-personnel sets.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

NegativeUsage42:42

Tyler Allgeier led the backfield in Week 1 with a 50% attempt percentage and 56% snap share compared to Jeremiah Love's 32% attempt share and 44% snap share. The source expects this to remain a one-two punch backfield, particularly in difficult matchups like the upcoming game against Seattle.

0:00Y'all know I have a Jeff Janis signed rookie card, one of my prized possessions, and this year I'm taking card collecting
0:07more seriously and that means targeting Parker Washington rookie cards.
0:10That's right, a former undrafted rookie. He's about to break out and most people never saw it coming.
0:15And I've been inspired by a new app called Whatnot.
0:18Whatnot is the best place to find the right cards for you.
0:22Your sellers know their stuff. They aren't just people clearing out a garage.
0:26They're dedicated businesses going live around the clock and they know what they're selling.
0:30What's rare? Why Condition Actually Matters. You can ask questions and get an instant answer because it's a community.
0:35You're not scrolling alone. You're in a live chat with other collectors, people who want to talk about the same rookies you want to talk about.
0:43Whatnot is why I'm much more into card collecting now than I was before.
0:47And you can get $20 off your first purchase right now.
0:51Just search Whatnot, W-H-A-T-N-O-T in the App Store, download it, sign up, and start finding the things you've been chasing.
0:57That is Whatnot, W-H-A-T-N-O-T in the App Store to get started.
1:00Get $20 off. Terms apply. Every game day, you show up for your team.
1:04Now, it's your time. Ask your prescriber about WeGovi.
1:07Some maglutide injection 2.4 milligrams, a GLP-1. Call 1-833-4-W-E-GO-V or visit WeGovi.com to view the medication guide and to learn more about WeGovi.
1:14Why wait? The first rookie off the board here, I know you wanted to put him on here.
1:19He was the first guy you mentioned, and he's been a guy that I've been very, even much to Shev's chagrin here.
1:26I've had to fight for positioning on him, but Antonio Williams, I thought, put together a great little campaign in his first game out there.
1:33I felt like there was a little JD connection there that seemed like nothing else was really working, but Antonio Williams kept
1:40kind of coming through and kept the Washington commanders sort of in the game there a little bit.
1:45So, whilst he was dead after the dig signing, it seemed, or it looked like he was going to be tough for jockeying position of targets.
1:53Chig's now out, maybe for a little while. That could be helpful for Antonio, but he looks like he's going to be a guy.
2:00Don't gas me up too much here, Casey, all right?
2:03I'm going to get too excited and burst through your guys' screens or earphones, whatever you're listening to.
2:09Look, yeah, I've been beating the Antonio Williams drum hard this offseason, almost to where I feel like I've staked my reputation on it.
2:16So, seeing him come out of the gate week one felt pretty good, but I just really liked him out of Clemson.
2:23I thought he was one of the better route runners in this class, even though a lot of people were not really looking at him in that department.
2:31I think that screams volumes, especially when we talk about the NFL and modern day.
2:35Exactly, that's exactly what my pick as well. No, no, we're both beating the same drum here, and it's great to see, right?
2:42Because it's like those days of the Megatrons and Julio Jones, you don't have to be that to be successful.
2:48I mean, you don't. It's almost less than their name one right now.
2:52Yeah, no, no. I mean, DK Metcalf, he's not doing very well for you.
2:56No, like DK, and he's not doing that much.
2:59So, it's like, I think this is the prototype of a successful receiver in this league right now.
3:05And all the factors that I liked about Antonio Williams were, you know, amplified when he landed in Washington so that he
3:11gets a good opportunity share right out of the gate.
3:14Now, you mentioned the Stephon Diggs signing. It's a bummer.
3:17Yeah, yeah, I thought we were going to see a delayed breakout, and I still think we will, right?
3:23Like, Terry McCorn not having a single catch until the fourth quarter or whatever it is, is not going to happen every week, guys.
3:30So, like, you're definitely not, when we're talking about overreactions, it's like, oh, you start Mike Gusecki, you know, ha, ha, ha.
3:37Like, I'm not starting Antonio Williams next week, okay?
3:39Like, that's not what I'm saying here. What I am saying, though, is four receptions, 64 yards, and a touchdown in his
3:46debut in a game where, like you said, everyone was involved.
3:49Like, they didn't need to just throw him to the wind right away.
3:53It shows, yeah, he's going to earn a spot on this team, and talent is going to rise to the top, and it's already rising, Casey.
4:01So, I think, like, the trains left the station.
4:04If you didn't buy Antonio Williams, you're probably not getting him off the owner this week.
4:09And if you own him now, you'd be hard.
4:11I mean, I'm biased as hell here, right? But you'd be hard-pressed to get me to give him up right now because
4:18I see long-term connection with Jaden Daniels on, you know, a program that has opportunity in target share form.
4:24Yeah, no, I agree. I mean, the Diggs thing isn't going to be long.
4:28Terry's older. And it just, it seemed like this is just one of those things where there was, seemed like there was,
4:34and now this could, again, overreaction week one, yada, yada.
4:37But, like, it just seemed like him and JD had a little thing going on there, and they were doing a good
4:44job of, like we mentioned with Zay, like, he's somebody who gets the ball in his hands while he's on the move.
4:51Like, he seems, like, again, these are, like, I love the birds.
4:54Go watch the touchdown catch again. Watch it in slow motion.
4:57Dug it out. Yeah, it's great. It's, you know, I'm going to draw everything back to the Seahawks, but, like, it reminded
5:04me of, like, a little Doug Baldwin action off the line of scrimmage, you know?
5:09Like, he had that nice out. Yeah, yeah, he had that nice out step.
5:13He hit him with the fake. Like, I love to see it.
5:16So, you know, if we had gotten this in week seven, I'd be just as excited.
5:21The fact we got it in week one makes me more excited, right?
5:25We might not see it again until week seven.
5:28Exactly. He could do nothing until week eight here, and I'd have some crumbs to feast on.
5:33So, I'm happy. I like it. But to the point of these, like, I like the Zay Flowers type of guys.
5:39I like the Luther Burden type of guys. And I felt like Antonio Williams had a little bit of that style to him.
5:46Like, I'm quick. I'm fast. I can make, like, this is just the new style of receiver that seems to work.
5:52In the league fairly consistently. There isn't the prototypical 6'3", 220, where you have to be that guy anymore.
5:58Like, these kind of agile, quick guys that I think, and I don't think Antonio Williams just has to play slot either.
6:05Like, I think he can play outside some. So, I'm really excited for it.
6:09It was good to see. Let's move on to Tampa Bay here.
6:12We've got kind of a twofer. We saw a little bit out of Ted Hurst.
6:17And then Emeka Egbuka is in his second year.
6:20So, we're kind of putting the second years and the rookies together here.
6:24Stan, I'll let you take it wherever you want on either one of those guys to start this off.
6:29Yeah. No, I mean, this is a tough one for me because I think I've been a little bit lower on Emeka
6:36than the rest of the Dynasty community. And this week's performance kind of validates that for me.
6:41Now, all being said, I don't doubt his talent at all.
6:44I just really worry about, like, Tampa Bay as far as a hot and cold engine.
6:49And they just continuously seem to do that, right?
6:52Like, there's weeks and, yeah, I'll draw it back to that Seahawks game last year.
6:56Tampa Bay, Seahawks. I mean, shootout, right? 38-35. And Baker was in MVP conversations.
7:00And everything was going right. And then, you know, you look at the end of the season, you're like, what the hell happened to that Bucs team, right?
7:09And so, I think there was shades of that yesterday where Baker was running for touchdowns.
7:14And then he looked like he was struggling and couldn't find a receiver.
7:18And so, I think, you know, Emeka here definitely is the leader on the team.
7:22You know, he led him yesterday. And I expect him to do so as we move forward.
7:27But I still think Godwin's got a lot of upside in this offense.
7:31And so, my expectations on Emeka are a little bit tempered.
7:34Now, I am fully aware that I am in the minority in that category.
7:39So, you know, I think, like, my ceiling for Emeka is maybe wide receiver 14.
7:43A lot of people probably have it a lot higher than that.
7:47But I wouldn't be surprised to see him finish down at wide receiver 22 again this year and have some good games and have some bad games.
7:55But, you know, we'll just see how that one ages here.
7:58And I've been wrong in the past. But Ted Hurst, yeah, he gets some involvement early.
8:03You know, I think he scored you six fantasy points.
8:06So, nothing crazy to write home about. But, hey, as a rookie here, I'm expecting zeros from everybody.
8:11So, I think if you're a Ted Hurst owner, you're encouraged.
8:15And if you're an Abuka holder, you're probably also encouraged for leading the team.
8:19But hoping that the Bucs can put together a bit of a stronger identity on offense before you're thinking, I'm going to average 19 points per game.
8:27Yeah. Well, the good thing about this offense as far as liking multiple receivers in the offense is that they're at a league high 82% of 11.
8:35So, meaning they're going to have more receivers out there than, you know, at least half the league for more than, you
8:42know, the lion's share of what they're doing. We're 82.7% yesterday in the game.
8:46That's 26.83% above league average. And, you know, so they ran 12 at 9% and 21 at 7.
8:51So, it's a ton of 11. So, you're getting three wide receivers out there a ton.
8:56And so, that's great for guys like Ted Hurst, guys like Jalen McMillan, Chris Godwin.
9:01You know, we don't know how long, much longer he'll be playing.
9:04Tampa Bay's seemingly done a great job of drafting receivers here over the past couple of years.
9:09And, you know, throughout kind of their tenure here.
9:12But I would say for Abuka, what that did for me yesterday, because I was a little just pessimistic on the toe
9:19thing of just that can linger and be a problem.
9:22And maybe he would be in and out of the lineup.
9:25But I thought seeing him yesterday lead this team outside of Bucky, which, you know, great to see that.
9:31But lead the team in receptions and be the guy, maybe even still being a little banged up and not right, was
9:37very uplifting for me and his dynasty value. Like, he's somebody like Ted, who kind of sits right out on the outskirts
9:44of what could potentially be turning into a cornerstone asset next year.
9:47Um, if things go the way we think they are, um, and, and this both and him, you know, the Panthers funneled everything to two guys.
9:55Um, and, and if, if, if Buka is going to continue to lead this offense weekend week out, I think we're going
10:02to have to, by the end of the season, say, okay, he's, he's either right on the line or he's just wiggled
10:08his way into being a fantasy cornerstone receiver. So I, that, that was, that was good to see week one for me and egg Buka.
10:16I didn't start egg Buka in any league if I could help it.
10:20Right. No, that's totally fair. And I'll agree with you on all that.
10:24I think he's right on the edge there. My only issue with a Buka is just that he's, he's just, you, you've
10:30paid the price already as if he is going to for sure be that cornerstone.
10:35Like I'm looking at him at wide receiver 11 right now on community rankings.
10:39And, you know, I may be a little lower over on the FFD, but, um, you know, I think if you're already
10:46paying damn near top 10 prices for him, uh, you're hoping that it's almost a lock that he's going to be that cornerstone.
10:52Now I don't disagree that, that he's got it in his wheelhouse, but I'll be curious to see, uh, see how the bucks can do it this year.
11:01I hope Baker just, you know, starts, lights, it's really gripping and ripping there.
11:05Yeah. Yeah. Agbuka is wide receiver 10 in the FFD super flex PPR.
11:09Y'all know, I have a Jeff Janis signed rookie card.
11:12What are my prized possessions? And this year I'm taking card collecting more seriously.
11:16And that means targeting Parker Washington rookie cards. That's right.

12:09Terms apply. This episode is brought to you by Google Chrome.
12:13You think you know a browser, but Gemini and Chrome?
12:16That's new. It can help you with practically anything on the web.
12:19Like restoring a vintage motorcycle from a 50-page restoration block.
12:22Or finally break down that long article you've had open for weeks.
12:26Gemini and Chrome is here for it. Ready to make anything online make sense?
12:30There's no place like Chrome. Check responses set up required compatibility and availability varies 18+.
12:35All right. Let's keep it moving here. You had Lane.
12:38We talked about him in the injury report. But obviously...
12:41Yeah, I mean, he'll be a quick one. Yeah, he'll be a quick one.
12:45I don't need to bogart the mic on this one.
12:48I mean, I really like Jacoby Lane. Super athletic.
12:50You know, wild at the catch point. This guy is, you know, acrobatic.
12:54And he can drag in some crazy one-handed jumping catches.
12:57As you saw, USC now, you know, gets good looking in the preseason and earns trust with Lamar.
13:03And he was heavy on their participation early in this game plan, which I like to see.
13:08He had a touchdown that was called back for a lot of you that are only watching red zone out there.
13:14So, you know, definitely could have been a different day for Jacoby Lane if everything went right.
13:19Goes down with a wrist injury now. And I think he's probably going to miss at least four weeks.
13:25It doesn't look good, if not longer. So, I think, you know, just a guy that if people in your league mates
13:32kind of start forgetting about him because he's not scoring any points and he's sitting on IR for the next few weeks,
13:38I'm all in on buying Jacoby Lane here. We talk about opportunity being king.
13:42And hell, outside of Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews, I mean, this is a guy that's already earned their rapport.
13:4821 years old, young as you like. Definitely has tons of upside.
13:52So, yeah, encouraging signs there. Yeah. All right. I'm going to keep it moving here.
13:56We got the Miami wide receivers. You know, obviously some rookies there and Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell.
14:02We know and Kevin Coleman. But we know Chris Bell is coming back from an injury.
14:07He's probably going to be a little slower to be brought on.
14:10But he looked fine in the opportunities that they gave him, which weren't a ton.
14:15But Caleb Douglas came out here and seemingly got plenty of stuff funneled his way, which you love to see.
14:21And again, as we move forward here week to week, there'll be a lot more of less stuff that we talk about.
14:27And more dialed in of the how and why, what we're selling, why we're selling, the nuance of hows and whys.
14:34But in week one, I try to not get too crazy with that because there's a lot to be desired left.
14:40What do we know even right now? But we did see Caleb Douglas come out here with a 22% target share.
14:46He played 81% of the route participation. Malik Washington was at 97.3 and had a 29.6% target share.
14:52Had a fumble at the end of the game.
14:54Malik Washington did that. That kind of the game was over, but they were trying to go kind of get a score at the end of it.
15:02But Caleb Douglas, I mean, we can talk to Chris Bell as well.
15:06But Caleb Douglas right now, is he somebody who you would feel comfortable flexing even as soon as next week?
15:12Yeah, I think the answer has to be yes.
15:15Five receptions, 94 yards, 18.8 yards a catch. Like, he looked good.
15:19Very good. And I think this is a guy that is going to be involved.
15:23There's no denying it at this point. And so I think we have to be paying attention to Caleb Douglas here.
15:29And if you are a flex needy team, he might be one of the cheapest guys you can get.
15:35That is a plug and play that has a clear path to target accumulation in an offense that, yeah, isn't the best.
15:42And I'm sure he's going to struggle throughout the season here at times.
15:46But yeah, very good value from rookie draft perspective as well.
15:49I mean, I watched this guy go in the fourth round, if not dropped to waivers often when we were doing him
15:56near the near the real NFL draft. Yeah, this was somebody who I consistently traded a 27-4th to get an extra fourth pick and grab.
16:03Plenty of things that go wrong for old case over here.
16:06But this seems to be one that has gone right.
16:09If you are somebody in that realm, what would be your process here on somebody like Caleb Douglas?
16:15Would this be somebody who you wouldn't mind just flipping and taking the profit on?
16:19Or is this something you see that, hey, hold on to your...
16:23Obviously, we've been talking a lot of this episode.
16:26And I don't know if this will get broken up into two.
16:29But if it did, we were talking about, hey, if this is your guy, this is part of Dynasty.
16:35It's your guy. Keep your guy. Right? Yeah. But generally, process-wise, what would be your thoughts on somebody like drafted him in
16:42the fourth or got him for free? If I could flip him for a two or even more, would I do so
16:48or should I do so right now? Yeah. I mean, from that perspective, no.
16:52Like, I'm not trading Caleb Douglas for a future second because I probably have the opportunity and the proof already in the
16:59pudding here that I've got what I was hoping for out of a second round future pick.
17:04Right? Which is a guy that in week one in the NFL season comes out, gives me almost 100 yards and is
17:11a flex-worthy player, if not a wide receiver three.
17:13Right? And so that is something that I don't think we should just disregard because the process says it's a good, profitable move.
17:20And I think there's limits to that, although I'm a big process trader myself.
17:24That all being said, I think I'm not moving Caleb Douglas in small trades.
17:29What I will use Caleb Douglas for is executing some bigger, like, tier-up buy low options in the next couple weeks where it's like if I'm almost there.
17:37Right? Like, I think a good one that comes to mind, George Pickens underperformed in week one.
17:42Right? Like, if I can go out there and now take a guy that I'm not as high on from the fifth
17:49or sixth round of my dynasty startup and move up to George Pickens by being like, hey, I'll throw Caleb Douglas in a third in there.
17:57You know? And now someone's interested because Caleb Douglas isn't a throw-in piece anymore.
18:01He's a flex-worthy player every week. That's where I'm exploring moving Caleb Douglas.
18:05I think I'm a lot less intrigued if it's like, I'll trade you a second for Caleb Douglas.
18:10Well, I already got what I was hoping for.
18:13Yeah. I like it. All right. Two quick ones here, and then I do want to, before we sign off, I want
18:19to talk about some of these running backs. Please.
18:22Denzel Boston and Casey, we're in, we kind of knew what it was going to be this year, and I think that's
18:29exactly what we got in week one. Right. This is going to be a, if you like the guys, draft them and
18:35hang on to them, which I'm very much in that, in the school of, I like both of these guys.
18:41Draft them. I'm not, I'm probably, you know, Casey started to ramp up through the redraft streets a little bit there.
18:48And I think he'll be usable throughout. Right. And, and hopefully maybe we see the Deshaun Watson benching sooner than later, potentially here.
18:54And we could see Shador or whomever else they deem they want to put out there.
18:59So I don't know if that'll be better or worse.
19:02TBD. But both of these guys, like, you know, I don't really know what to say outside of like, hey, I think these were good picks.
19:10Just, just hang on and wait. Yep. Yep. I'm with you there.
19:14I don't have too much more to add. I love Denzel Boston.
19:17I've been really high on him. I'm also a university Washington guy.
19:21So tiny bit bias here, but nice to see him raking a garbage time touchdown.
19:25And I think he's got definite ability to, to be an ex or, or be a guy that gives you red zone upside and is explosive.
19:33Down the line. Casey, we saw a couple of carries again.
19:36So, you know, they, they were trying to get the ball in his hands and, and do some, some gadgets with them.
19:43And, and, you know, that probably raises his floor from a fantasy perspective there.
19:47But yeah, this Brown's offense is anemic. So I think we got to just pump the brakes on any of those guys,
19:54sit them on the bench and hang out. Hope, hope for greener shores or greener pastures.
19:59All right. The last ones we're going to talk about, which were kind of framed similarly in the off season, as far as draft was Sadiq and Cooper.
20:07Right. Both high capital guys. Cooper, unfortunately got hurt on this one, but the jets were very framed similarly as the Browns.
20:14And, and look, it looks like it's going to be a little better from the jet side, at least week one from
20:20Gino, being able to provide at least some continuity for the offense throughout.
20:24It might not always be great, but it'll be fine enough, generally speaking.
20:28And the big upside to me was we didn't really hear a lot of Sadiq because there was an off season injury
20:35wet kind of sidelined him for a minute, but to come in week one and, and get a couple of targets, but more importantly, get schemed a touch.
20:43You just mentioned it with Casey for the tight end to kind of be schemed.
20:48Like I just, to me, it really was like, Hmm, this caught my attention of like, while it probably isn't flashing on a lot of radars.
20:55It flashed on my radar for Sadiq here. 100%.
20:58I mean, we couldn't be more in agreement there.
21:01It's like, if you are a rookie and your coach is thinking about putting you in on a goal line package on
21:07an end around so that you can show your athleticism, get in the end zone.
21:12And, you know, offer gadget play upside for the future.
21:15I don't know how you can be more bullish.
21:18You know, you gotta be excited. You gotta be excited.
21:21So yeah, wheels up for Kenny and Sadiq here.
21:23I don't expect it every week, but you know, be patient.
21:27Yeah. All right. Let's jump into the last part of this thing.
21:30And I know I've been keeping you in. It's late in Amsterdam.
21:34So it's all good. Let's, uh, we got football on our screens.
21:37All right. Let's jump into it here. Uh, we have, again, we're, we're sticking in the vein of kind of the rookie
21:44and second year reports here, but we're going to look at running back usage a little bit.
21:49So, um, and I think we can go right into our, our teams here as far as, you know, I try not
21:56to, um, even let anybody know what my team is or show any sort of, uh, biased ever.
22:01Um, but sometimes, you know, you know, show its ugly head here and there, but if we look at this usage and
22:08I think it's interesting to start the season of how it's kind of being played out.
22:13But, um, is there any concern for CMC for your fantasy teams with the way they use, uh, Kalen black and kind of how you saw him play?
22:21Uh, no, not at all. I, what I will say is like Kalen black is quickly, if not already one of the
22:28most premium handcuffs in football right now. Like when you talk fantasy, you have to own him.
22:33If you are the Christian McCaffrey overpay, if you're a Christian McCaffrey guy right now for black.
22:38Yes. Yes. Just to sleep comfortably at night. Right.
22:40Like I want to, I want to curl up with my pillow and not worry.
22:45Okay. And Kalen black 14 for 65. He added a catch there.
22:49I mean, this is a guy that, you know, he had more rushing attempts than McCaffrey did.
22:54Now, is that make me nervous as McCaffrey owner?
22:56No, not at all. Because McCaffrey gets the high value touches.
23:00You know, he had five catches on eight targets.
23:02Like that's incredible. Right. That's 20, 23% target share to 2.9% target share for CMC versus.
23:07So to your point. And that's always, that's what's going to keep CMC afloat.
23:11Like, and the game wasn't particularly necessarily close. Generally.
23:14Now Stafford scores on that sneak. Like. And the Niners don't go 99 to score the other way.
23:19It's a completely different game. Yeah. And maybe you even see more CMC.
23:23But I think that was a big part of it.
23:26Yeah. And you made a really good point too.
23:29I believe earlier in the episode, we were talking about week one and just like, oh, what, what do we have to
23:36expect out of these defenses, these offenses? We also forget that week one, you have so much time to game prep.
23:42And Kyle Shanahan clearly came into this game with a very clear plan.
23:46You know, he knew exactly how he wanted to attack the Rams.
23:49You know, he spent tons of time this off season learning how to take them down.
23:54And you know, you and I being NFC West watchers and probably following everything in there.
23:59If you want to beat the Rams, you have to run the football.
24:03I mean, you have to run the predicated on being whoever's going to run the ball better.
24:08It's typically going to win the game. Yeah, no, a hundred percent.
24:12I mean, you see it. I'm not going to go down the rabbit trail of the NFC championship last year, but it's
24:18like the Seahawks beat the Rams because Kenneth Walker, because we figured out how to run the football on them.
24:24And so I think, I think that was a huge part of the game plan here.
24:29And so to just slot Kaelin Black in as a, you know, 14 rush attempts per game, every game kind of guy,
24:36I think would be a little bit unrealistic here.
24:38I do think McCaffrey, especially in games that are very close and, you know, you need to lean on him and rely on him.
24:46You're going to see plenty of them. But yeah, we would have only beat this one to death.
24:51McCaffrey is the guy still he is him, but man, do I like what I'm seeing out of Kaelin Black.
24:57He's an upside player. And real quick, you mentioned earlier in the episode, and it may, this may be split into two
25:04potentially, but you mentioned Montgomery and the tread being high on Montgomery, but age not necessarily matching up.
25:09Well, it's the complete inverse with CMC. The tread is low or however you want to say that.
25:14I mean, I don't know that you could go either, but generally if you've used your tire a lot, the tread is lower.
25:21So the tread on McCaffrey has been, you know, retreaded multiple times here.
25:25So to use Black through the first four games, if possible, if it's not super close throughout, I think is a great
25:32way to keep McCaffrey fresh and he'll still be fine for your fantasy outcome.
25:36Hey, I'm not saying that everyone's copying the Seahawks formula here, but is that, is that not what we did with Zach Charbonnet and Walker last year?
25:44And then you had a completely healthy, fresh Kenneth Walker to lean on through the entirety of the playoffs.
25:50And he was a Super Bowl MVP. He damn near won you a few games down the stretch there.
25:56So if, if Shanahan saw that and wants to do the same thing with CMC, I think that bodes well for your fantasy playoffs.
26:03Right? So it ain't a problem in my book.
26:05Yeah. All right. Let's go to your Seahawks here.
26:08We have the price Helani split right now. Right now you had last week, a snap share of 50% for Helani or
26:15sorry, 50% for price 41 for Helani attempt percentage, 50, 45% for price 36% for Helani, a target share of 8% to
26:214% to Helani to price and prices favor there.
26:24Um, and then route participation was 40% to 25% for Helani.
26:27So you being the resident Seahawk guy, I think it's clear to anybody with two eyeballs.
26:32It's all the juxtaposition of those two players, uh, and the explosive nature of them.
26:37Uh, so if you're the price guy, you have to be excited.
26:40Do you continue to roll price into your lineup though?
26:43Week after week. This is a guy that I think is going to frustrate you until you see the breakout.
26:49Because I'm very encouraged from what I saw from price.
26:52Like you already mentioned it to the eye test.
26:55It was night and day. Like Helani wasn't doing anything for you.
26:59And Jadarian price looked explosive. He broke a couple of runs and he looked confident doing it.
27:04Um, 10 for 52. So not a stat line that's going to jump off the page, but you're averaging over five yards of carry in your rookie debut.
27:12And, you know, I think that the Seahawks were always going to slowly ramp him up.
27:17So I didn't think it was going to be an immediate 20 carry game for Jadarian price.
27:22That all being said, I think he has flex where the upside next week, especially against Arizona with drew lock, you know,
27:29uh, running the quarterback room here, because especially when you talk about trying to dominate game clock and making sure that, you
27:35know, you're able to keep the defense fresh to some degree.
27:38The Cardinals didn't look bad on offense last week.
27:41Right. I mean, they still put up points. So I think the Seahawks are going to try to run the ball a lot.
27:48And I think Jadarian price hopefully is going to see minimum 16 carries this next week, which Hey, at five yards, a
27:55carry right there, you know, now we're talking about at bare minimum a flex worthy player.
27:59So I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that if you're looking for a flex, Jadarian price is a good play.
28:07Um, I don't think I'm locking him in as an RB two yet until I see the role continuously increase.
28:13I'm hoping by maybe week four. Y'all know, I have a Jeff Janis signed rookie card.
28:18What are my prized possessions and this year I'm taking card collecting more seriously.
28:22And that means targeting Parker Washington rookie cards. That's right.
28:25A former undrafted rookie is about to break out and most people never saw it coming.
28:30And I've been inspired by a new app called whatnot.
28:33What not is the best place to find the right cards for you.
28:37Your sellers know their stuff. They aren't just people clearing out a garage.
28:41They're dedicated businesses going live around the clock and they know what they're selling.
28:45What's rare. Why condition actually matters. You can ask questions and get an instant answer because it's a community.
28:51You're not scrolling alone. You're in a live chat with other collectors.
28:54People who want to talk about the same rookies you want to talk about.
28:59What not is why I'm much more into card collecting now than I was before.
29:03And you can get $20 off your first purchase right now.
29:06Just search whatnot, W-H-A-T-N-O-T in the app store, download it, sign up and start finding the things you've been chasing.
29:12That is whatnot, W-H-A-T-N-O-T in the app store to get $20 off.
29:16Terms apply. Every game day you show up for your team.
29:19Now it's your time. Ask your prescriber about WeGovi.
29:22I like Price as a player. I just didn't know how much he was going to be handcuffed by the situation of Sharbs comes back.
29:30This is that. But I think any reasonable person has to sit here and say, eventually it's got to be a price at least at a 70-30 situation.
29:38But we shall see. We shall see. All right.
29:41Cam Scadabo, somebody who everybody was very much higher on than I was at the FFD just because I just wasn't sure that, hey, is he healthy?
29:49Are we going to get the run out that we want?
29:52And when we look at yesterday's, last night's matchup here, the snap percentage was 60% for Scadabo and Singletary was actually the
29:59other guy because I think Tyron Tracy fumbled early.
30:01So it was 60-30 in the snap percentage. The route participation, though, this is the part that I felt like that Scadabo
30:08had to maintain to maintain the upside of where everybody was kind of putting him at.
30:13I thought he would get plenty of run, but the pass catching last year was what I thought really put him over the top.
30:20And last night, it was route participation at 30% for Scadabo and 57% on Singletary.
30:24Now, you and I discussed on the phone earlier, there was multiple just swing passes that went to Singletary on that fourth
30:31quarter drive or third quarter drive where the Giants maintained much of the clock in that and just kept going to the well.
30:38So I think that contributes to some of that.
30:41But when you go back to looking at a target percentage, a zero target percentage was not what I wanted to have for Scadabo.
30:48So that would be the only thing. And I don't think that will remain, but I thought he was just very good
30:54in the pass catching situation last year. And I wasn't sure if that was going to translate over to this year and this regime.
31:02What's your take on Scadabo? Yeah, I mean, I've been very high on Kim Scadabo.
31:06So like that's just one of those guys that I love watching play football.
31:10I love the way he runs downhill. Yeah, I love the pass catching upside.
31:15Like you mentioned, you know, last year, even in a limited sample size, I think if you projected that out, you were
31:21hoping for more than, you know, 45, 50 catches, which is crazy from the running back position when you also get the
31:28goal line carries all to be said. Like this was what I needed from Kim Scadabo, you know, coming off with a really gruesome ankle injury.
31:36It's like, will he, won't he be able to look like the guy he was before 18 carries 81 yards a touchdown.
31:42He does the backflip again. I think it's just like, you know, I didn't expect him to come out and give me
31:49an RV one finish in week one, but he came out and gave me all the encouraging signs I needed to think
31:55that the wheels are up for Kim Scadabo. And I think that Harbaugh is going to continuously slowly take those training wheels
32:02off as he's healthier and healthier deeper into the season.
32:05I'm good with everything there. The Singletary thing is the interesting piece of this.
32:09But like you said, it's like, this is just good coaching.
32:13If it's working, don't stop doing it. I really doubt that Devin Singletary was like a big part of the game plan going into this game.
32:20Part of the pass catching game plan either. Yeah.
32:23Yeah. And I think that's something as fantasy owners that we need to remember sometimes.
32:28Like if a coach sees something and it's working on the field and they want to win a football game, they're going to do it.
32:35And so I think Devin Singletary is not a huge threat, but yeah.
32:39Well, here's the thing though. But as far as fantasy goes, he has not been the most relative player, but he's always been a solid player.
32:47Right. And generally, you know, Harbaugh, Tracy fumbled early.
32:49Harbaugh went out there and was like, Hey, we're just going to keep, we're going to give it to Tracy.
32:55He's not, he's, he's not messing it up. And then, um, so I, I don't think we'll, we'll continue to see, uh,
33:02a non pass catching entity of, of, of Scadabo.
33:05I think that will change. And I, I gotta, gotta say, I feel pretty comfortable with Scadabo moving forward and should have maybe had a little bit more.
33:13So, uh, we had Woody marks on here, but we kind of talked about him a little earlier.
33:19Um, I think it's interesting on the gente, Mike Washington thing, much, much made, uh, throughout the off season and injury for,
33:25for gente all, all, but solidified that Mike Washington was going to be in a similar timeshare of sharbs and, and, uh,
33:32uh, Kenny Walker as, as of last year. Uh, and then we say game one and it is, it couldn't be further from the truth.
33:39Gente looked amazing. And Kubiak just rode old gente into the dirt yesterday.
33:43So general, I don't know what you thoughts or takeaways there are, but, uh, hit me with it.
33:49Yeah. I mean, my thoughts are just Ashton. JT is too good.
33:52He's too good at football to like work in another really good player, you know?
33:57And I, I would imagine when we talk about game planning, right?
34:00Like I would imagine Kubiak did want to do what he did in Seattle, which was have gente be a part of
34:07the game and have Mike Washington come in and get a little bit of work and get a little bit of play,
34:13especially with gente kind of coming back off an injury.
34:16You know, I guess there was some ambiguity there about how serious it was at the end of the day.
34:22But, um, the reality of the situation is just Ashton, gente is a dominant force on the football field.
34:28And I think the eye test and the way he was getting it done was proven it to both the coaching staff and everybody around him.
34:36And you just couldn't remove them. You know, I mean, the six catches is really what I'm focusing on here too.
34:42Cause we all knew Ashton, gente. 20% target share.
34:45Yeah. That's crazy. Right. Cause we all knew he could run the football, but like to get six catches on top of
34:52that and you know, two receiving touchdowns and it's like, okay, uh, Mike Washington remains a premium handcuff and it, it might
34:58be just that now, now I don't want to say Kubiak's going to remove his identity here because I do think he
35:05really does want to keep some sort of touch split alive down the stretch to keep his guys fresh.
35:10And, and I'm sure he will game plan more for that in the future.
35:15So I can't just sit here, unfortunately, and say like Ashton, gente is a locked and loaded unequivocally RB one now, but
35:21I mean, from what you saw, it's going to be very hard to not put the ball in his hands as much as possible.
35:28Yeah. Yeah. 62% snap share for, um, gente or a temp share rather 71% snap share for gente.
35:34So crazy numbers. And I mentioned the 20% target share route participation was at eight 61% for gente.
35:39So, I mean, you know, like you said, there's room for those numbers to get cut a little bit and gente still
35:46just be unequivocally one of the top three running backs in the league from here on out.
35:51Um, so that was, that was a lot of fun to watch.
35:55Um, all right. Two more before we, uh, wrap up here, cross key merit.
35:59Um, I was kind of under the impression of if this guy does end up being the guy who gets the lion's
36:05share of, of, of the carries here, which, you know, is, is pretty simpleton of me.
36:10Like he was going to be the, you know, quite the, maybe a league winner.
36:15And it looked like we, and this line is, is a little beaten and battered, but we know the Eagles defense is good.
36:22And the defensive line has always been a strong suit of kind of what they, they put out there.
36:27Um, but what did you think about cross key merit yesterday?
36:31We had, um, a 50% snap share or attempt share.
36:34We had a 49.3% snap share to a 40% snap share to white.
36:38Um, and then a 21% attempt share for white.
36:40But then, you know, the target share is what we suspected that white would certainly, um, kneecap JCM with.
36:46And that was the case yesterday. It was 36% to, uh, 2% for JCM, uh, over there.
36:51So generally, how are you playing JCM and how are you valuing JCM sort of moving forward?
36:56Cross key merit that is. Yeah. This is always a tough one when it comes to bill.
37:01Cause, uh, bill was an old prospect, you know, and I normally don't really invest in like older running back prospects from a dynasty perspective.
37:09I always find just psychologically, their ceiling is super capped when it comes to value.
37:13And, and, you know, those just aren't guys I invest in now performance wise.
37:17Uh, he looks like he's going to take the early down work in Washington for the immediate here.
37:2316 carries 63 yards touchdown. Um, that's lead back evidence, I would say comparatively to what we saw out of white, I think just in general though.
37:31And I know this is an Eagles, you know, uh, like front here.
37:35That's, that's pretty formidable, you know, and we got the likes of Jalen Carter up there and, and some, some pretty heavy hitters.
37:42So, you know, I think there's probably better days ahead for Washington's, uh, run game, but I just think overall, I find
37:48myself a little lackluster about like still the ultimate ceiling there.
37:52Maybe that's just my, you know, skepticism shining through here, but that's kind of where I land on JCM.
37:57I think he's a fine upside flex play. I'm not willing to slot him in as like a RB two for the season or anything like that.
38:05I still think we're going to see more Rashad white before it's all said and done.
38:10So moving forward next week, JCM or price. I'll go price there.
38:14Okay. Yeah. I think, I think I'm, I don't know the Washington plays, um, but, um, um, I think I might lean
38:20JCM there if possible, but next, like you said, next week, week one could be such a liar next week.
38:26It could be way closer to 50, 50, everything for white and JC to the commanders.
38:31Uh, they got Dallas. So, you know, uh, there's opportunity there to run the football.
38:36Absolutely. Absolutely. All right. Uh, let's close up shop.
38:38Well, I guess we could do love Algier if we want at the end there, but tootin and C rod.
38:44Um, this was a big conversation coming in. And once again, week one is certainly can be a liar.
38:50Um, but in, in week one, what we saw was a 48% snap share for tootin and a 41% snap share for
38:57C rod and attempt percentage at 46% for tootin and only 18% for C rod.
39:01Um, no target percentage for C rod and only 4.3 for tootin.
39:05Um, and then route participation though, they were pretty close in that tootin at 33% and, uh, C rod at 29%.
39:11So, um, this would have been a game where I thought that you would see more out of both of those guys.
39:18Uh, but like you mentioned earlier in the episode, like there was really no reason for it, but they just kept going
39:24and kind of feeling like they were just keeping the pedal to the metal man.
39:29Yeah. So here's the interesting one for me, Casey, like this is a backfield that I find a lot harder to put my foot on.
39:36And I think it's because if you look at the first half numbers and someone will have to fact check me in the comments here.
39:44Okay. Because I was reading about it earlier today.
39:47I'll try not to butcher the numbers for you, but I know that it was almost a 50 50 split.
39:53For tootin and C rod in the first half.
39:55And then the second half to, and I believe out carried C rod like nine to one or something crazy like that.
40:02And, and really kind of took over the lion's share there.
40:05The thing that makes me curious, right. Is I would have almost thought it the other way around.
40:11Yes. If C rod was really the backup because it's like, okay, well you're blowing them out.
40:16Just throw in your RB two in there and let them go to work and take some touches and save tootin for another day.
40:23They didn't really do that. And so I wonder if that's Cohen saying, well, it's the first game of the season.
40:29I want to see what I have in tootin's to see how much I can lean on him.
40:35That's one lens of looking at it. The other lens of looking at it is well.
40:39Yeah. Cohen and, uh, and, uh, C rod have a deep history going all the way back to college.
40:45You know, the trust is already there. He's sung his praises this off season.
40:49And so it's like, is he just resting his guy and knows he wants to rely on him when the game's a
40:56lot closer, he's going to get a more involved.
40:59I don't know. I think again, I don't mean to sit on the fence on this one, but I find myself not
41:05looking at the box score and saying like, Oh, it's clear that tootin's the RB one.
41:10I think in closer games, it's just going to be a lot closer to just a 50 50 split.
41:16And you're going to see what happens. Yeah. I mean, look week one, we should probably be sitting on the fence more.
41:22Like you're probably a fool to come out and say that you, you know, everything now I would, I would, you know,
41:29and I understand the sentiment of saying, Oh, where you're riding the fence and you're just trying to not be wrong.
41:35And it's like, well, no, when I have a take and I feel strongly about it, I will not ride the fence,
41:42but generally like I'm just trying to take in as much information as possible and then figure out which side of the fence I want to be on.
41:50Uh, so I don't think that there's anything wrong with a week one.
41:54You should be riding more fences than not. Um, so I, you know, I, I like that, but I'm with you.
42:00I had a hard, I was just taking C rod generally just cause it was cheaper.
42:05Um, and I thought the opportunity could be similar, um, or at least the outcome rather could be similar from a points perspective.
42:12Uh, but week one, it certainly looked like tootin, um, was the guy to own, but it is very interesting to see.
42:19Um, I was trying to find that while you were talking, but I couldn't, I couldn't quite pinpoint, um, second half all
42:25dynasty price check fact, check it, throw it in the comments when, when these get uploaded.
42:30All right. You'll, uh, you'll see it guys. Yeah.
42:33And, and last but not least real quickly on the way out of here after our, our first lengthy show here, um,
42:39for the FFD with, with Stan from dynasty price check.
42:42Um, we had love and Algier. I think this was exactly what I thought it was going to be week one.
42:49I thought that this, this was going to be what we saw from gente week one, at least as we mended ourselves
42:55from the ankle injury, but they, they felt good and gente felt good.
42:59And, um, but I thought love looked good. Uh, as far as it went on the breakdown, it was a 50% attempt
43:06percentage for, uh, Algier to a 32% attempt, uh, attempt from love snaps were at 56 for Algier percent and 44% for love.
43:13And then target share was 8.1 for love and 5.4 for Algier.
43:16And both were route participation. We're basically exactly the same 38.5%.
43:20Um, so I think as the year goes on, we'll see love pull away a little bit.
43:25Um, but how do you view, cause I, I thought love was one of the tougher clicks and redraft for me.
43:31Uh, I completely agree from a redraft perspective. I was very skeptical and I think I still remain a little skeptical.
43:37It's week one, right? Like I think, uh, maybe we've been jumping too many conclusions here, but I do think if you're
43:44a Jeremiah love owner from a dynasty perspective, that's exactly what you wanted to see.
43:48Crazy encouraging. I mean, even nursing coming off the injury, right?
43:52Like 11 attempts, 41 yards gets the touchdown. That was exciting, you know, to, to see him in the end zone right out of the gate here.
44:00Um, but yeah, I think this is just going to be one of those backfields too.
44:05And especially we already talked about it. They're walking, you know, uh, into a matchup with Seattle next week where it's just
44:11going to be like, yeah, it's, it's tough sledding.
44:14Like, I don't expect a lot for love. I don't expect a lot for Algier next week either.
44:19So I think it's just going to be like, this is going to be a one, two punch, um, on good matchup days for him.
44:27And load it as, as RB two or RB ones, uh, anytime soon here, but yeah.
44:32Encouraging. Yeah, no, I agree. Um, all right, we're going to wrap this one up.
44:36Appreciate Stan for standing in the marathon here. Uh, we'll have some shorter episodes to come.
44:41And again, we'll be way more into the markets and the dynasty ends of things.
44:46Week one is one of those times where we just want to kind of go in, assess where we're at, see what
44:52was what, have a little bit of conversation. Um, but we will certainly have much more, um, market talk and dynasty trades
44:59and exactly pinpointing who's worth what and what we would do with those guys.
45:03But it just didn't feel like week one should be that time.
45:07Right. Cause it's going back to the, the ride and fences kind of sort of situation right now.
45:12And, and honestly, there shouldn't be that much trading going on in a dynasty league right now.
45:17Anyway, um, you should just be kind of chilling out and we'll, we'll have rankings adjustments and all those things along the way.
45:24Um, but once again, one, one game, isn't going to change the course of how I think about very much.
45:30And it shouldn't, if you've had any conviction on, um, you know, there, there could be some things where you came in
45:37and was like, Whoa, that was not at all what I, and maybe I do need to adjust some priors, but I
45:43don't think there was a whole lot of that in week one necessarily.
45:47That made me really feel strongly that I had to adjust priors, um, at this time, but so make sure you go
45:54check out Stan and dynasty price check, uh, anywhere you can get podcasts, uh, as well as I believe you're big on the tick tock streets.
46:01Yes, sir. Take talk, YouTube, all the above. Uh, be happy to chop it up with you guys anytime, but yeah, we'll
46:08be hanging out with Stan all season long. Um, having some good time chopping it up, talking about fantasy football and dynasty trades.
46:15So I'm excited to get that part of it because I feel like you've got a great mind for the process of trading.
46:22So I'm excited to jump into that in the coming weeks.
46:25Hell yeah. Oh yeah. Me too, man. All right, guys, we'll catch you next week.
