0:39I'm your host as always, Wyatt Bertalone. Today it's time for a Best Ball Bag Check.
0:44I've been doing a lot of Dynasty content this offseason, per usual, as the offseason is filled with with Dynasty content, obviously.
0:50It's a big time for Dynasty. Dynasty is year-long, but the offseason really is kind of Dynasty season.
0:56But it's also best ball season, and I've been in the best ball streets, per usual, getting a lot of drafts done.
1:02I'm a bit of a slow drafter, so the drafts are really starting to pour in now completed for me.
1:08So I wanted to go and talk through some of my exposures at this point in this offseason, talk about some of
1:15my process, why I've been drafting the players I have been.
1:18So let's jump right into it. We're going to start off with the quarterbacks, naturally.
1:23So as you can see, I'm 36 completed drafts in so far on Underdog Fantasy.
1:27My top QB right now is Jordan Love. Jordan Love, that is really mostly due to me really liking the prices on the weapons for Jordan Love.
1:35So naturally, I'm drafting a lot of him to stack up with those weapons.
1:40I'm a fan of Christian Watson, Jaden Reed, and Tucker Craft.
1:43All their prices, I think, are pretty nice right now.
1:46So naturally, I'm leaning into Jordan Love to complete those stacks.
1:49It's really that simple for me. I think Jordan Love is fine QB.
1:53I think his price is fine. We've seen a high ceiling from him in the past.
1:58He's been on a Best Ball Mania League winning team because he can have that really big high game upside, single game upside.
2:05He can also have a really nice three game streak upside that we care about for best ball playoffs like we have
2:11in a lot of these tournaments on Underdog. Next up is Jackson Dart there.
2:16Quickly touch on him just that I really like Jackson Dart.
2:19Really liked him as a prospect. He's got that running style that we really like for a lot of QBs for fantasy
2:26because he can score a lot of points that way, running and getting involved near the end zone.
2:31I also thought he was a much better passer than people were expecting coming into the NFL and showed that.
2:37And I think he was even better than what I thought he would be as a rookie, as a passer.
2:43Malik Neighbors is hurt, but he's going to be coming back at some point.
2:47Giants are trying to do their best to add some weapons.
2:50They haven't added the most top tier talent other than having Malik Neighbors, but they've added some pass catchers trying to help him out.
2:58So I just really like his price for somebody who's going to do a lot of running.
3:03And that leads right into my next QB, which is Kyler Murray.
3:06Again, let's just like under costed running QB to me.
3:09And he's in a great situation for Minnesota. It's really that simple.
3:13You know, Tyler Shuck is my number four most drafted QB.
3:16That's really buying into that New Orleans Saints offense.
3:19High pace. Shuck was really good down the stretch once he got his shot.
3:23But I still think that Shuck is a flawed QB to an extent.
3:27And, you know, how much growth can he really have in the NFL coming in as a 25-year-old rookie?
3:33But even if we're just getting similar to what he was showing at the end of last season, you know, things could work out.
3:40You know, just going down the rest of my top 10 most drafted QBs here.
3:45Cam Ward, Bryce Young, Jalen Hurts, Jared Goff, Jacoby Brissett, Trevor Lawrence, Jacoby Brissett.
3:49I'll just mention, you know, 8.3%, so I'm just right at market.
3:52But that's, you know, a lot of three QB builds.
3:55I look for Brissett sometimes because I think he could be scoring at a high pace for a large portion of the
4:02season, even if he's not the starter at the end of the season.
4:06Missing from this list is Drake May, which if you follow my content, you know I'm a big Drake May fan.
4:12I've been talking a lot about him. I've been talking about how much I've been drafting of him and A.J.
4:18Brown. This is just a victim, me being a victim of slow drafts needing to finish up for him to really vault up my rankings.
4:26I can tell you right now in a lot of slow drafts I have going, which I have over 70 going right
4:32now, there's a lot of Drake May amongst there.
4:35I was actually surprised when I went and actually clipped my top exposures for this video, for this podcast, that Drake May
4:42was not in my top 10 because I know how much I've been drafting him, and I know that I have him ranked ahead of market.
4:50So it was a bit surprising, but I do expect to have him highly drafted at the end of the season.
4:56I expect him to be among my top drafted QBs very soon, once more of these drafts finish up.
5:02Um, another thing missing from this top 10 is really the elite QBs, specifically, uh, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Jane Daniels.
5:09It's not that I am against those QBs, and I do have some exposure to them and plan to always have exposure
5:15to them because they're the best of the best.
5:18It's just that because the way these drafts are going right now, I've kind of been steering away from elite QB as
5:24much because we really need to make sure we're finding running back points right now.
5:29Running backs have gotten more expensive this year because it is harder to find those top RB points right now.
5:35So you want to make sure you get that, but underdog is also a three wide receiver format, so you don't want to fall too far behind there.
5:43So because of that, I've been tending to go lean on the QBs in the, you know, six, seven, eight, nine round
5:50range of QBs, trying to make sure I stay, get two within that pocket.
5:54Moving on to running backs. My top drafted here is Tyler Algier, who I think is just a really well-priced handcuffed running back.
6:01It's as simple as that. You know, he's going in like the 150s, 160s sometimes, an underdog, and we know that he
6:08can be one of the top handcuffs in the league.
6:11He's shown it before. He could potentially have some usable weeks on his own if he gets used near the goal line.
6:17So he's just a really well-priced backup running back, in my opinion.
6:21So I'm drafting a lot of him right now.
6:24My second most drafted running back is Emma Johnson.
6:26A little bit surprised to be here because, you know, him falling in the draft was not a fan of.
6:32Didn't mind the landing spot because I think he's cleared the backup to Kenneth Walker there.
6:37But I think we're looking at a pure just kind of handcuff for Kansas City.
6:42I don't think he'll get enough pass game usage to really have a standalone role to really get in on a weekly basis.
6:49His price is all right because he's going in the 180s, and so that's how I tend to get some.
6:55But I'm probably going to be working on lowering this percentage right now as I have 22% of him.
7:00After that, Brian Robinson, another drafted player similar to Tyler Algier where it's just like highly sought-after handcuff running back.
7:06I think he's one of the better handcuffs. The price is really approachable for that.
7:11I'm getting into it. Jonathan Taylor is in fourth, and that's really just looking for those running back points after those top
7:17wide receivers go early in the first round. I'm usually attacking running back after that in the first round.
7:23So I ended up with a lot of picks in Jonathan Taylor's range.
7:27I end up with a lot of Jonathan Taylor.
7:30It's probably not going to end that way. He's at 19.4%.
7:33This is a little bit of variance based on where I've been picking in some of these drafts.
7:39One of my exposures here next up that I'm actually a little bit worried about, Zach Charbonnet, 19.4%.
7:44He's priced around Tyler Algier, and I tend to be looking for running backs at that point.
7:49Some teams I'm looking, hey, second half of the season, he gets real roll.
7:53He might be able to contribute to my team's second half of the season if he's splitting time with Jadarion Price.
8:00But I don't want to have this much. This is one I'm going to have to back down on some.
8:06Brees Hall after that, 16.7%. I'm excited for Brees Hall.
8:09Players like Brees Hall, who are just so obviously talented and I think are just really good players, like I'm going to
8:15have a hard time not being into them at any given point, like regardless of price, just because he's just really talented.
8:22I'm just kind of always going to be in on Brees Hall.
8:25After that, Devon and Chan. That's one that I'm looking to back down off of some.
8:30I've had a lot of picks towards the end of the first round, and he tends to go, you know, end of
8:37the first round, beginning of the second round. So I've ended up with a good amount of Devon and Chan, especially as
8:43he like falls into the second round some. But I kind of want to keep that one in check a little bit
8:50because there's a chance the Dolphins are just kind of a disaster.
8:54Finishing up my top 10, Dylan Sampson, DeAndre Swift, Jalen Warren.
8:57Dylan Sampson, kind of similar to those other players I was talking about before, like I think what could be a really
9:04good handcuff and maybe a little bit of standalone value because he's a pass catcher.
9:08DeAndre Swift, I think he's just under-costed for what he does.
9:11He's never finished outside of being a RB2 in points per game.
9:15Really top offense. I think that one's like really easy.
9:18And then Jalen Warren, the last one I've got here, I think there's a good chance that he could be in a
9:25split again this season, this time with Rico Dattel.
9:27But we saw last year like Jalen Warren was still pretty productive for our teams even while being in that split.
9:34I talked a little bit about him in one of the previous episodes of Press Coverage where I was talking about some
9:40dynasty trades I was making trading for Jalen Warren.
9:43But I think he's valuable in seasonal leagues as well for the price he has going in the 80s.
9:49That's a pretty approachable price for what could be an RB2 week in and week out.
9:54Maybe more of a low-end RB2, but that's fine on that price.
9:57And he definitely has potential for more. I mean, imagine what happens if Rico Dattel gets hurt.
10:02Like that's just a full backfield to Jalen Warren.
10:05And the Pittsburgh offense isn't necessarily one that we're like super excited about.
10:09But as long as they still have Aaron Rodgers, it's an offense that can move the ball enough that it will help our players on that offense.
10:17Field producer fancy, especially the running backs because Aaron Rodgers throws to his running backs a lot.
10:22I think Jalen Warren's going to get a lot of that this year.
10:26You know, last year we had Kenneth Gainwell, who was the better pass catcher between him and Warren.
10:31But Kenneth Gainwell's gone now. He's battling with Rico Dattel, who is fine at pass catching.
10:36But Jalen Warren is obviously a better pass catcher than him.
10:40So we could see Jalen Warren getting a lot of targets.
10:43And that's what gets me actually excited about Warren is the possible pass game usage there with Aaron Rodgers in 2026, especially
10:49with Mike McCarthy, because Mike McCarthy is going to lean into a more pass forward offense as well.
10:55It's kind of what he's done in his history.
10:58I've got obviously two more positions to talk about.

13:03But it's time to talk about some wide receivers.
13:06My top drafted player at wide receiver is Zay Flowers, a player I've been pounding the drum for all offseason, a player I really want to attack.
13:14I think the price is really nice for Zay Flowers.
13:17Finishing as wide receiver seven last year in PPR points.
13:20Obviously, underdog is half PPR, but with when you're catching as many passes and gaining as many yards as Zay Flowers does, that's fine.
13:27Also, we could see a touchdown spike for him at any point, and I want to make sure I'm in on that when it happens.
13:35We're getting a little bit of a new offense this year.
13:38We could see that offense change the way they do things in the red zone.
13:43Perhaps he now becomes the number one target in the red zone.
13:46But when he's going where he's going in the 40s or late 30s, he's actually been climbing a little bit lately.
13:53I think more people are starting to catch on the way he's doing on underdog.
13:57Just a really easy price to attack for a wide receiver with the floor and ceiling combo that Zay Flowers represents.
14:03The second most drafted wide receiver, Jeremy Bernard was not expecting to be here.
14:08You know, he's probably the third best target on Pittsburgh right now, but fairly highly drafted player, you know, top of the second round.
14:15In an offense where, you know, DK Metcalf, a bit of a disappointment last year.
14:19Michael Pittman just got traded to them. I think he's a fine wide receiver, but like, is there a chance Jeremy Bernard
14:26earns a bigger role than we're really expecting because he's now the young player with Mike McCarthy, who just, you know, selected him basically.
14:33So I think there's a chance that he could like earn a real role as the season goes along.
14:39More importantly, he's going in the 180s. I mean, he's super cheap.
14:43So taking a bet on a highly drafted rookie that late in drafts sounds pretty good to me.
14:48Next up, Jordan Tyson, my wide receiver one in dynasty based on his prospect profile and landing spot situation.
14:54You know, I was saying before the NFL draft in regards to dynasty when it comes to those top three wide receivers,
15:00I thought they were all pretty close. And it was kind of letting landing spot and draft capital really kind of decide between them.
15:07I was fine doing that. And I thought Jordan Tyson came out on top.
15:12You know, the NFL told you they were not worried about the injury history based on the draft capital.
15:17He lands on the Saints, which is an offense we want to be invested in.
15:22Talked about that when I was talking about Tyler Shuck, high pace, lots of pass attempts.
15:27All sounds really great to me. Next up, Chris Bell.
15:30A bit of a rough one because I'm sure most people are looking at this like, what are you doing?
15:36This guy is coming off a torn ACL. This is what it's about for me.
15:40He's going in the very last round of drafts and someone on the Miami Dolphins is going to be catching passes.
15:47Probably not a lot of passes because Malik Willis is a QB and I bet they're going to be run first offense.
15:53But someone on this offense is going to be catching passes.
15:56I'm not sure that any of them will really ascend to be the number one pass catcher by like a margin that's really significant.
16:04But I want to bet on one of them doing it when it's that late in the draft.
16:09Really last round. Like I'm just taking Miami Dolphins pass catchers often when I need to take another pass catcher for my
16:16basketball teams because someone could ascend from it and be a really big value.
16:20And Chris Bell was a pretty highly thought of prospect coming into the NFL.
16:24I was a little bit below market on him as a based on his profile coming into the NFL draft.
16:30But a lot of people out there really thought a lot of them big athletic after the catch really good.
16:36Maybe something happens. I'm going to keep this exposure in check.
16:39I know like some of my slow drafts going on right now, like I'm playing on making sure I don't take Chris
16:46Bell at the end of my draft because of this.
16:49But it's kind of more just about Miami Dolphins.
16:52Like I think someone could be a value from there.
16:55So I'll take the shot in the 18th round.
16:58Jalen Coker after that 22.2% say tied with Devonta Smith and Zachariah Branch and Chris Alave and Carnell Tate and Khalil Shook here.
17:04All 22.2% for these remaining players. I'll hit on them all real quick.
17:08Coker, we could see just a big jump from where he was in the past as wide receiver two for the Panthers.
17:15And that's kind of it. You know, he's flashed some high talent in small samples.
17:19There's a chance this year that doesn't get injured, plays the whole season.
17:23He's a wide receiver two for the Panthers and he's a good value based on where he goes.
17:29Devonta Smith. I mean, that was pretty easily explained.
17:31Really down to the player just became the number one wide receiver on his offense.
17:36He was already producing as a number two. I've talked about Devonta Smith a lot this offseason in my articles, whatnot.
17:42That one's easy. Zachariah Branch, another player that like I wasn't super into as a prospect coming into the NFL.
17:48This one's about he has a really clear path to playing time in a Falcons offense.
17:53And I wonder if he gets a little bit of gadget usage, a little bit of downfield usage because of his speed.
18:00And if he can just like hit on a few big plays over the course of the season, big touchdowns, like that's
18:06enough based on his price to enter my lineup a few times and be worth the value of his price.
18:12Chris Olave, similar Jordan Tyson being on that offense, except Chris Olave is coming off the best season of his career.
18:19Always been really talented. He kind of just needed the right situation in QB to really flourish.
18:24And he did it last year. I don't understand why people aren't drafting him higher.
18:28I'm going to keep drafting a bunch of Chris Olave.
18:31Carnell Tate, another really good rookie in a spot where he could be that number one target earner on his offense day one.
18:38I mean, it's really that simple. No matter what you think of his QB, Cam Ward, and what he can be this
18:45year, what do you think of that offense? Number one target earner, rookie, you know, with a possible sending QB.
18:51It's a nice combo. And then Khalil Shakir. Part of this is being a little bit apprehensive on DJ Moore and what
18:57he is at this point in his career with Buffalo Bills.
19:01Part of it is that I think Joe Brady is a person who just wants to spread the ball around in general.
19:07And I think Khalil Shakir is still going to have a pretty good role.
19:12He is absolutely a floor play. And I intend to draft him as such.
19:16But at the cost he's going, you know, in the 120s, what he can give you, it's pretty nice for that cost.
19:22I don't want to make myself sound like I'm too down on DJ Moore.
19:27I'm drafting some DJ Moore. It's just what I'm deciding between those two wide receivers on this offense, really.
19:32Like, I'd rather just take Khalil Shakir 70 picks later compared to DJ Moore when I think the ball's going to get
19:39spread around too much for DJ Moore to really hit on his price.
19:43And finishing up with the tight ends, top drafted tight end for me is Tucker Craft.
19:48Talked a little bit when it comes to Jordan Love, but I'm really into the weapons there, especially Tucker Craft.
19:54Gotta remember who Tucker Craft was before the torn ACL last year, just ripping it up.
19:59Dude is incredible after the catch. He does really good on play action, which the Packers run a lot of.
20:05And he finds these open spots in the defense because of it.
20:08It helps that Matt Elflore is really good at scheming up offensive plays, and they've got good wide receivers to open up the field.
20:15And Tucker Craft is just there as this outlet for Jordan Love, and he's so good after the catch.
20:21And he's also really good in the red zone.
20:24Really into Tucker Craft. Greg Dalsich, my second most drafted tight end, 19.4%.
20:28The conversation is very similar to Chris Bell, except Greg Dalsich is almost certainly the starting tight end on day one for
20:34the Dolphins, and I think could end up as the number one pass catcher for the team.
20:39If Dalsich ends up leading the Dolphins, if Dalsich ends up leading the Dolphins, that's a tough sentence, ends up leading the
20:46Dolphins in targets, this is a massive value, and that's a very real possibility.
20:50After that's Eli Stowers. A little bit of hate towards Dallas Goddard on this one, mostly because I don't think Goddard's bad,
20:57but the Eagles were kind of ready to move on from him until they brought him back on a cheap contract.
21:03I think they're certainly looking to get some of these weapons involved.
21:07Eli Stowers, even if he's not the starting tight end, I think they're going to have a place drawn up for him, especially in the red zone.
21:15And when he's going as lazy as he is, he's a nice add-on for three tight end builds, which I've been doing a decent amount of this year.
21:23Gunnar Helm after that, tied with Eli Stowers at 16.7% my exposure.
21:27For the Titans, because I think he could be the number two pass catcher on the Titans.
21:32And while it's not as good as number one pass catcher on a team, a number two pass catcher on a team for a Titan is really great.
21:40And Tucker Craft, I thought, flashed some mobility last year.
21:43Some people are down on him coming into the NFL, and even now because of his athletic profile, which I'm doing in
21:50quotations because it's kind of an incomplete athletic profile because he did his combine testing on a bum ankle.
21:56If you don't know, the very first thing he's doing is 40-yard dash.
22:00His first 40-yard dash, he neatly rolls his ankle on the 40-yard dash and still fights through and does the rest of the testing.
22:07So all of his numbers look worse than they actually are.
22:10Sam Laporta after that, you know, Sam Laporta is, I think, really good and priced really well around pick 100 for how
22:17good he is on being a top offense. That one's just simple.
22:20George Kittle after that, yeah, he's coming back from an Achilles, but he's tracking to be on the field very early in the season, if not week one.
22:29His play might be diminished a little bit. In fact, I'm expecting it to be a little bit diminished, but diminished from
22:35what he was is still pretty good. And if he gets healthier along the season, it could be a massive value, especially
22:42when he's going, you know, around pick 120. Travis Kelsey after that, you know, I don't love it because Travis Kelsey is
22:49very obviously at the end of his career. He's still kind of produced last year, though.
22:54And there's a chance he does it again, especially with like what's going on through Shee Rice.
22:59I'm just kind of like, who's going to be catching all these passes from Pat Mahomes in 2026?
23:04You know, Kelsey's probably still going to give us a fine year.
23:08So he's costed pretty well. A round of Gadsden after that.
23:11But, you know, Gadsden's been falling and I've kind of just caught a good amount of falling Gadsden.
23:16You know, I don't think his ADP should have changed all that much because of David Njoku signing.
23:22I'm not sure David Njoku really affects him too much.
23:25In case people forgot, the last time we saw David Njoku, he looked a little bit worse than he had.
23:31And he was getting, you know, frame-mogged by Harold Vannin.
23:34So I'm not really worried about Njoku with Gadsden.
23:37Gadsden was still kind of the same bet as he was before to me.
23:41But at the cheaper price, I'm going to get in on some.
23:44Kincaid and Harold Vannin after that. Finishing up my top 10 tight end exposures at 11.1%.
23:49Kincaid, if he could ever stay healthy, you know, through this season and maybe just ramp up his routes a little bit,
23:56he'd be really good because he's really efficient when he plays.
23:59It's just he doesn't play as much. But I like him for some spike weeks, even though, like, I think Dalton Gadsden
24:06is a much better best ball target than he is a redraft target because that playing time can kind of wax and wane throughout the season.
24:14But I think he's going to hit on some spike weeks.
24:17And then Harold Vannin is the one where I'm trying to actually get my exposure up right now.
24:22I really like Harold Vannin. I think he's priced pretty well for what he can be, especially after showing how good he can be as a rookie.
24:30Casey Concepcion obviously represents some target competition that he didn't have last year.
24:34But I think this offense is really going to kind of consolidate to those two.
24:39And there's plenty of room for both of them to thrive.
24:42I'll do thrive in quotation marks because of the QB situation is obviously not great.
24:47And it might be a little bit ugly. But I think there's enough volume for both of them to get there.
