1:04Terms apply. See site for details. So it turns out that maybe George Pickens is not the lock that we thought he was going to be.
1:13We are now to voluntary minicamps. But George Pickens is potentially, maybe, maybe he will reportedly attend Cowboys minicamp amid contract drama.
1:21But I don't know, man. What do we think?
1:24Do we think that George Pickens is going to want to play this upcoming season without a contract?
1:30I'm starting to have some questions and very famously my guy, Chev, wanted to take George Pickens at the 2-0-3.
1:38I said, no, well, maybe we're going to be able to get George Pickens in the middle of the third night.
1:45And I do think Pickens and Lamb is just, I think it's very interesting, these two guys, because they were such close competitors last year.
1:54I mean, it was clearly the best year of George Pickens' career.
1:58I mean, I don't even, I don't even really think it was.
2:02I don't even really think that's debatable. And it was one of the years where we didn't feel that good about CeeDee Lamb.
2:11In fact, let's go ahead and actually just pull up that comparison between those two guys last year.
2:17Wide receiver 12 and wide receiver 6. CeeDee Lamb just out-targeted him.
2:21Just out-target shared. Pickens actually had more receiving yards, more receptions, more receiving touchdowns.
2:26Had more yards per target. Had more yards per route run.
2:30And actually more routes per game. Which I just think is all very interesting as it pertains to those two guys.
2:38We will take my guy. Jonathan Taylor here as we have the flock fantasy tool pulled up over there.
2:44I just find the Dallas Cowboys in general very interesting on offense because we know that they are, you know, we know
2:52that they are going to be a very pass-heavy offense.
2:56It's actually one of the few things about Brian Schottenheimer being the head coach that was actually good.
3:02Like I remember when Kellen Moore left, I was kind of concerned that the overall offensive performance would drop to a significant degree for the Dallas Cowboys.
3:12And that really wasn't the case. So I do wonder if we are actually undervaluing George Pickens right now.
3:19And another thing that I'm wondering is, is there any chance?
3:23I mean, you guys, you guys tell me. Is there any chance that George Pickens is actually one of those guys who would hold out?
3:31I wonder if George Pickens is actually of the type of character, the type of person who would actually say, you know what, man?
3:40I want my money. I want four years. I want $155 million.
3:44I want Justin Jefferson money. I want Jamar Chase money.
3:48And what would the Cowboys do? I mean, do the Cowboys really have any alternative to paying George Pickens?
3:55I'm not certain that they do. You know, it would be it would be Flournoy and MDS expanded packages for Kevontae Turpin playing a bunch of 12 personnel.
4:04I do just it's in the back of my mind.
4:08I'm thinking in the back of my mind that it might actually be the year.
4:13I mean, we have seen several several wide receivers have actually done it.
4:18Several wide receivers have said, hey, man, you're not going to make a fool of me.
4:24Or, you know, alternatively, I wonder if it's one of those things where McLaurin, you know, McLaurin sat out all of last preseason and had a horrible year.
4:34I mean, he's bad when he came back. He suffered soft tissue injuries.
4:38I wonder if it could be one of those situations.
4:42I mean, hey, a Jonathan Taylor, Derek Henry. That's a that's a grown man start.
4:47I can't tell if you're joking about this. Pickens is the prototype of the holdout guy.
4:53That's what I'm saying. Now, the prototype of the holdout guy doesn't always do it because you do give up money.
5:00You do. There is a short term penalty for holding out.
5:04But I really do. I really do wonder. I think there is a chance.
5:09I think the league has averaged two to three wider super tandems that are both top 20 for a decade outside of Jason T.
5:18I think Lamb and Pickens is the best bet.
5:21That's I would say that's pretty good. I mean, you've got who else is even an option.
5:27So you've got Puka and you've got Devante Adams.
5:30Who else would even be relevant? No one with Nico.
5:34Maybe Alave and Tyson. Rushy and Worthy, bro. Rushy and Worthy.
5:38Garrett Wilson, Adonai Mitchell. I mean, that might be the best tandem.
5:42You've got Burden and Rome. You've got Ladd and QJ.
5:46Igbuka and Godwin. I mean, there are some options out there.
5:49What do you think about the round one and two starts that start with the same bye with Puka and AJ Brown?
5:57I don't care about it. That's that's not something.
6:01Now, I could be I could be wrong to not care, but I don't care.
6:06I think that seems fine. It's an 18 man roster for a reason.
6:10OK, now see you see this is we love to see it, man.
6:15I want to just take Rushy. I'm just going to take Rushy, man.
6:20I know that's not who I have ranked there, but sometimes you just want to take Rushy.
6:26Yes, St. Brown and Jamo for sure. That one that one is definitely an option.
6:31This guy, this guy right behind me, Jay Ferga Beast.
6:35I wonder I wonder if he likes wonder if he likes Jake Ferguson.
6:39He is auto drafting an incredible start. Christian McCaffrey, Ken Walker and Chris Alave back on back on the Coke Zero.
6:47Train, by the way. The Coke Zero, it's not as good as regular Coke, obviously.
6:52It's also not as good as Diet Coke, but I alternate.
6:56I go I go off and on. So, yeah, I'm thinking there is a chance that I might end up moving Pickens
7:04around in my rankings one way or another. You know another thing I'm thinking.
7:09I actually just did a video that is going to be coming out later today on the Redraft channel.
7:16Just so just on the Matic Fantasy Football channel.
7:19And I did my first mock draft on ESPN.
7:22And the some of the some of the seasonal ADPs are startling.
7:26They they really they really are. I mean, when you guys when you guys get to your you know, when you get
7:34to do your your home league draft with your buddies, some of the.
7:39Some of the ADPs you guys are going to be like, seriously, this guy's going where?
7:44Like, where do you guys think Kenneth Walker is going on ESPN right now?
7:49Just if you had to guess, where do you think Kenneth Walker is going?
7:54No sweetener hot takes. I mean, what's what sweetener hot takes do you want, brother?
8:00A week. Do we got all day? Will I mox?
8:03Will I max both the underdog and the DK $25 contest?
8:07Yes. Yes, I will be maxing Best Ball Mania.
8:10I will be maxing the DraftKings Millionaire Maker. See, isn't that so funny?
8:15I mean, Dualliant says he guesses that Kenneth Walker is going in the first round.
8:20Tyler is guessing the mid three. Yeah, he goes mid three.
8:24He's 30th overall in the ESPN software right now.
8:28So if my if my home league was drafting today, I have a very good.
8:33Well, except I I wouldn't be able to get him in my home league because my home league is based out of Kansas City.
8:41So I wouldn't be able to get him. But in your home league, very strong chance that you were able to get an affordable price on one.
8:51Mr. Kenneth Walker. Derek Henry. Derek Henry is a Derek Henry is a first round pick on ESPN.
8:57You would be correct. All right. Today is we're going to call this.
9:02We're going to call this diversity Monday because I'm going to take Terry McLaurin, who I have one point two percent of.
9:10This is something that I've been trying to do a little bit better at.
9:15But a lot of what I have been doing is when I do a draft where I am consciously not drafting guys that I have a ton of.
9:25I tend to do it all in one draft.
9:28So my similarity scores are not great where my my teams tend to be too stagnant.
9:34They tend to all look too much like one another.
9:37And I'm trying to do a little bit less of that.
9:41So with a pairing that I have quite a bit of that Jonathan Taylor and like just for example.
9:48So let's go to my combos tab. Let's go Jonathan Taylor.
9:52I have drafted how many times 20 times. I have drafted Jonathan Taylor.
9:56How many times have I drafted him with Rashi Rice?
10:00I've drafted those two together five times. I bet I have zero of those combinations with Terry McLaurin.
10:06Yep. The answer would be I have zero of those.
10:10And so because I have zero of those, that is now a combination that I have.
10:16So trying to cover more combos with my team.
10:19Ooh, good, good question. How many times do you think Zay Flowers has scored more than 20 half PPR points in the last three years?
10:28I mean, I'm going to I would guess not that many times.
10:32I would guess maybe twice because I think he had a two touchdown game last year, if memory serves.
10:39So that would be one. I mean, what is with this Trevion Henderson fall mid mid fifth round Trevion Henderson?
10:46That is that is as the kids would say all day.
10:50I can't think of a convincing argument to not take Trevion Henderson in the middle of the fifth round.
10:57I got I got nothing on that. I mean, can I pull Trevion Henderson?
11:02There we go. Such this is a great new feature.
11:05Shout out to the flock fantasy devs because this is a this is a feature.
11:11I've wanted the ability to bring up someone after I've already picked them.
11:15Look, I know Trevion Henderson was pretty much a disappointment to a lot of us in fantasy last year.
11:22But 28 points, 32 points, 30 points, 17 points.
11:25I mean, it's very, very hard for me to pass on this profile.
11:30Yeah. What's funny is I totally, totally Harbs understand the concept that Trevion Henderson is undervalued.
11:35But where are you finding analogs to this performance?
11:39I mean, his ceiling is higher than Judkins. I don't think there's any question.
11:44I think I mean, Bucky is also a very good pick.
11:48Tootin is also a very good pick. Like Henderson has so much more guy you had to have upside than David Montgomery.
11:55I think he's got more guy you had to have like end of the day.
12:01True heart of hearts. Who do you guys think has a better ceiling?
12:05DeAndre Swift or Trevion Henderson? How about this? Heart of hearts.
12:09True heart of hearts. Javante Williams or Trevion Henderson?
12:12If I told you that one of those guys got 20 touches in week 17, which one would you rather have?
12:20You would rather have Trevion Henderson than Javante. You really would.
12:24Right. I mean, Javante was Javante was as good as he could have been last year.
12:30And he had zero 30 point games. He had one.
12:33Well, how many running back one games? One, two, three, four, five.
12:37That's it. Five running back one games over the course of the whole season.
12:42See, I think this is cap. I think this is.
12:46I think it's cap. I think I think that this is cap.
12:50I mean, I could be wrong. I could be wrong, but I think it's cap.
12:55I think if I if I told you that they were getting 20 touches, you you want Trevion Henderson.
13:02Yeah. I mean, great. My great point from my guy Connor here, which is that Henderson, you know, is that that great segment of the market.
13:12We like second year running backs on good teams.
13:15Oh, I knew this was going to happen. You run out of wide receivers.
13:20All right. We're going to take Jaden Daniels with McLaurin.
13:23I mean, that's a combo. I probably don't have very much of what do we think the Jaden Daniels Terry McLaurin combo is.
13:31So I have that twice. That's a high. That is a high permutation that happens in 2.1 percent of drafts.
13:39That is that is really, really high. Henderson is the higher upside for sure, but the odds of realizing that upside are much lower because of Ramondre.
13:48I don't I don't disagree. I mean, if Ramondre was not if Ramondre Stevenson was not on the team like, OK, let's
13:56say Ramondre Stevenson retires from football to go be a monk in.
14:00In the mountains, just just follow me down. Follow me down this this rabbit hole.
14:06If Ramondre Stevenson retires to go be a monk in Tibet, what is Trevion Henderson's ADP?
14:11They don't sign anyone. Najee Harris doesn't come in.
14:15You know, they don't trade. They don't trade for for James Conno, James Connor, James Conno.
14:20Where does he go? I think that if Ramondre Stevenson retired to go be a Tibetan monk.
14:26Trevion Henderson would go ahead of. Yeah, I think I mean, Ken Walker, Chase Brown, Amari and Hampton.
14:33Yeah, and that and that would that would not be true.
14:37Of the guys who go around him. If Kenneth Gainwell retired, Bucky is he's rising.
14:42Judkins is not going to rise much. I mean, even we have a foot injury.
14:47Do I take Jaden Reed here? Do I take Jaden?
14:51I mean, I'm just going to take Jaden Reed here.
14:54But if any of the guys around him suffered an injury to their backfield mates, the same thing would not be true for them.
15:03Right. What percentage of teams have Bowers likely in the rookie tight end from the Jets?
15:09I mean, it's not going to be very many.
15:12Three three player combos are pretty rare. I'll give you Bowers and likely Bowers and likely happens point three percent of the time.
15:20So so, yeah, there's really and Bowers and Sadiq.
15:23That's actually going to be higher. I bet Bowers and Sadiq point four percent of the time.
15:29I have that on four of four hundred and nine drafts.
15:33Bigsby over Henderson is an insane take. Agreed. Austin, this is the puppy.
15:38I normally I normally hop in a puppy first and then do BBM.
15:42Now, I agree with this, that the shark has been jumped on Bucky.
15:47You know that the shark is jumped on Bucky because even I am drafting Bucky and I'm not a Bucky guy.
15:55Bucky is a three RAS player. Not going to not going to find me all that often drafting three RAS players.
16:02I didn't hear the reasoning, but I heard Corain say something about Henderson falling to the six.
16:08Well, he goes in the sixth on DraftKings. Henderson does.
16:12What do I think of the growing 2026 trend of taking two quarterbacks rather early and stopping because of quarterbacks getting so pushed up?
16:20I think it's I think it's quite nice. I think it's I think it's probably the most optimal way to respond to the market forces.
16:29Now, do I take my homes and implement this strategy my homes with rice or do I take Godwin?
16:36You know what? I'm going to take my homes.
16:39Is there a by conflict? Nope. We're good. All right.
16:43So we got we we can we can do two quarterbacks.
16:46Let's check the tool. Two quarterbacks gives us. Yeah, 15% expect advanced rate.
16:51Oh, I'm not going to get a good advance rate on this one.
16:5615% max with the running backs. Uh, 15% max with the wide receivers get up to 18% if I take three tight ends.
17:04So not going to get an A grade there.
17:07What are my thoughts on Quinshon Judkins this upcoming year?
17:11I mean, Quinshon Judkins in 2026 is probably going to have one of the best per game rushing workloads in the entire NFL.
17:19I expect him to sort of have a floor of about 15 rushes.
17:23I would expect him to probably have more of a passing game role than he had last year.
17:30Anthony, what I would be concerned about would be it's just very hard to score like 13 touchdowns on a bad football team.
17:38And I think the Browns are going to be a bad football team because I think they're going to be.
17:45Well, they'll probably be coached. Okay, but I don't think they are going to get a ton of the offensive line.
17:53The quarterback play is going to be really, really poor.
17:56Seems like the defense is going to be pretty poor.
18:00Let's do let's do Pittman. And so if you add all of those things together, it means to me that Judkins is probably going to end up.
18:09I mean, he's going to be a really solid running back, too.
18:14And in any week where he scores two touchdowns, he is going to be great.
18:19Meant to ask you this before. What do I think of the flock grading tool?
18:24Do I tend to agree with an A-plus draft most of the time?
18:29You know what? That's funny. It's funny you ask that, Chris, because I would say generally I don't always agree when it hates one of my drafts.
18:39It's kind of funny. Like if the if the tool gives me like a C or C-plus or whatever, I tend to
18:46think, okay, it's not really understanding what I did there.
18:50But generally speaking, when it gives me an A or an A-plus or an S-tier, then I'm like, okay, it actually does see what's going on here.
19:00And I did actually paint a masterpiece because generally when you paint a masterpiece, your room has to give you something nice.
19:07And so the tool is seeing when the tool is seeing that.
19:12Do the flock tools work on drafters and DK platforms as well?
19:16They do on DraftKings. I don't believe that they do on drafters.
19:20Trent, although this tool, so this tool with the rankings and stuff like that is currently being optimized for redraft stuff.
19:28So like you're going to be able to use this for your ESPN league.
19:33You're going to be able to use it for your Yahoo league and things like that.
19:38And I would imagine there would be a chance that we could end up getting it on drafters, if that is true,
19:46that the flock tools will end up working on drafters.
19:50But it does work on DraftKings. Off topic, but do I know how the swaps work?
19:55Yes. So this is indeed true. You are correct.
19:59You're not going to get a swap for a guy who plays.
20:03So what do I do here? You know what?
20:06Rashad White. This one's for Jacob. We're taking Rashad White.
20:1042% Rashad White. Yeah. So if you're playing the World Cup Battle Royales and you take a guy who starts on the bench, you get that guy's points.
20:20So like, for example, the other day, I took some of the Germany bench guys.
20:25That was yesterday. I took some of the Germany bench guys and I got their points.
20:31But for Brazil, I took Endrick for the Brazil-Morocco game.
20:34And Endrick did not sub in at all. So I got swaps for him.
20:39Multiple positive reports on Evan Ingram. I mean, he's draftable in the sense that he's someone who exists.
20:46He's a DraftKings pick. He's a 20-round DraftKings pick.
20:49It's true. How insane was Nick Chubb to be able to go in the second round on the Browns?
20:56People forget. People forget how insane Nick Chubb was.
20:59This episode is brought to you by Troll Co.
21:02Clothing. And oh, is this one worth it? You know, more than a few people have asked me about Troll Co.
21:09So let me actually tell you about it. I wear their hats, their sweatshirts.
21:14I have for a while now. The quality on both is legitimately good.
21:19The hats hold their shape. The sweatshirts are the kind of heavy that you actually want, not the thin stuff that pills after three washes.
21:28I just like them. The reason I connected with the brand in the first place is the story behind it.
21:35You know the phrase, dirty hands clean money? It's a blue collar saying that has been around forever.
21:42It's the idea that honest, hard, physical work is how you build a good life.
21:47Troll Co. It was started by two guys who came out of the oil patch who could not find any clothing that represented people like them.
21:56So they built it themselves. That is the kind of origin story I respect.

22:59I think this is right. Although, with Judkins, it does feel like...
23:04So, Connor, it's an interesting point. I do feel like Judkins will probably have at least one insane ceiling game.
23:11Like, he'll probably... I mean, he had a game with three touchdowns last year.
23:16He will probably do something like that again. Or have one with like a 65-yard rushing touchdown or something.
23:23However, what will be different will be... I think there's going to be some games where Judkins scores like four points.
23:30Like, Quinshawn Judkins in a game has 22 rushes and legit scores like six points.
23:35I think we are going to see some stuff like that happen.
23:40Because this offense is going to be quite bad.
23:43All right, I need to start thinking about tight end.
23:46I also probably need a wide receiver. I mean, Jaden Higgins...
23:50I know Mason really likes Jaden Higgins. I bet he was really high up.
23:55And if I sort by Mason's stuff, I bet Jaden Higgins would have been real high there.
24:01And then Travis... Wow. Shocking that we are all very high on one Mr.
24:06Travis Hunter. Who would have predicted that? Have I used the flock tool to create a sidekick draft?
24:13I have not, although those two tools are doing very, very different things.
24:17It's very... They're attempting to measure very different things.
24:21Yes, Greg Berhalter is a terrorist. I could not believe how good the U.S.
24:26men looked the other night. I mean, I did not think they had that kind of performance in them.
24:32I mean, Paraguay aren't very good. But man, the U.S.
24:36men looked unconscious the other night. That Travella from Giovanni Reina was incredible.
24:41I believe Hakeem Butler already did sign with an NFL team, Slim.
24:45I believe Hakeem Butler signed with an NFL team this morning.
24:49Hakeem Butler... The Denver Broncos signed UFL Offensive Player of the Year, Hakeem Butler.
24:54Shout out. Shout out Hakeem Butler. I was in a dynasty league that does the rookie draft before the actual NFL draft.
25:02And Hakeem Butler was the fifth overall pick in the first round the year that he came out of school.
25:09Incredible stuff. I mean, yeah, but Comma Ball is Comma Ball, Brady.
25:13What do you want me to say? I mean, Comma Ball...
25:17The lower tiers of Comma Ball... Same as CONCACAF.
25:20Not a high-end region of global football dominance. All right.
25:24Well, I'm just going to have to take a tight end here.
25:28Doesn't really matter. Dude. All right. Well, we're super stacking.
25:31I'm going to take Chig. So we now have Jaden Daniels, Patrick Wilms, Jonathan Taylor, Trevion Henderson, Rashad White, Rashi Rice, Terry
25:39McLaurin, Jaden Reed, Michael Pittman Jr., Jaden Higgins, and Chig Akankwo.
25:43Well, it's not the best team I've ever drafted.
25:46It's also not the worst, so it's probably fine.
25:50What is the equivalent of what Team USA did in football terms?
25:54It would be like the Dallas Cowboys showed up in week one against...
25:58I don't know. I guess like the Browns and just laid the absolute wood.
26:03Like scored... Like they would beat the... They would beat the Browns like 52-3.
26:08And Dak didn't play the fourth quarter. And Jalen Mil...
26:12No, not Jalen Milrow. Joe Milton threw a touchdown pass to Ryan Flournoy.
26:17That was like really sick in the fourth quarter.
26:20Would be the equivalent to what Team USA just did against Paraguay.
26:24Alright, we are back up. Again, needing a tight end.
26:28Need a little bit of ceiling, honestly, at tight end.
26:31No, you know what? Running back is kind of cooked after this, so let's take Marks.
26:37And that gives us some correlation. But no real difference between these tight ends.
26:42And I kind of wanted to take Sadiq anyway.
26:45I mean, first off, this Uruguay team, not that good.
26:49I mean, I think we saw this Brazil team.
26:52I mean, that Brazilian midfield, Brady. Come on, dude.
26:55Honestly, give me Russell Westbrook right now versus what Casemiro did out there.
27:00One of the worst midfield performances. Have you had any successful lineups in the daily World Cup contest?
27:06Yeah, I won the contest on Saturday night. Shipper for your boy on Saturday night.
27:11I have the goat horns now. If you look at my profile on Underdog, I have the goat horns now.
27:19What's the NFL equivalent of what Spain just did?
27:22What the Cowboys did in the Super Bowl against the Eagles two years ago?
27:27Giants news from, I think, four days ago. The GM says neighbors.
27:31Could be back week one. Yes, it's true. It's true.
27:35Common Ball is way better than CONCACAF. It's true.
27:38Any teams that you actually like a super stack with at cost.
27:42Tampa Bay and New Orleans seem all right. We were actually talking about this in the members-only Discord.
27:48That if you become a members-only Discord on the join buttons right down there.
27:53Five bucks a month to become a member and support the channel.
27:58We were talking about this. My guy, Shady Advice, had some very interesting things to say about super stacks that has me reconsidering them conceptually.
28:07Man, I'm missing on all the tight ends here.
28:10All right. We're going to go another guy. I don't really have any of.
28:15We're going to go AJ Barner as our second tight end.
28:19So if you think about the way super stacks function, or if you just really think about the way best ball lineups
28:27work, more than half your roster is going to be zeros anyway when you account for the scores.
28:33So something that is quite interesting conceptually about super stacks is that you are basically saying the commanders, the Ravens, the Falcons, the Jags, whoever.
28:42In the given week, you just want the team to go nuts.
28:46Doesn't matter if it's Bateman. Doesn't matter if it's Devontez Walker.
28:50Doesn't matter if it's Jacoby Lane. Doesn't matter if it's Surratt.
28:54And you are also assuming that the team is pretty good for fantasy anyway over the course of the season.
29:01Like that is the bet that you are making on the team itself.
29:06And so it is just sort of interesting. Like I think that I probably need to start working that in a little
29:13bit more because I mean, this is not going to surprise anyone.
29:18I would guess the only teams that I really have super stacked are probably, I mean, I guess it would be the Chiefs and maybe the Jaguars.
29:27All right. I need at least one more tight end.
29:31I need probably two more wide receivers. We're going to do a guy draft a lot of Zachariah Branch to try and
29:39help these combinations a little bit more often. Titans.
29:42Titans is good. Yeah. Titans. Titans is quite good.
29:45I definitely agree with that. I think the Titans are probably.
29:49It's just one you're going to end up with.
29:52If you are, if you are doing a lot of drafting, you are probably going to end up with quite a good
30:00amount of Titans because they're one of the easiest backstacks to get in like pretty much all of fantasy football.
30:07You know, you can take Ridley late. You can take Helm late.
30:12You can, I mean, you can get Iow Manor and DK DK led the entire NFL or he set the record.
30:19What did he, he set the record for yards from scrimmage for a rookie or did he lead the entire league in yards from scrimmage?
30:28I forget one of those two rank favorite week 17 super stacks like games.
30:33I mean, New Orleans, Atlanta. New Orleans, Atlanta is, is indeed the game.
30:37Is your boy Money Mitch, Mitch Trubisky is Mitch Trubisky on the Tennessee Titans.
30:42If he is, I did. I was unaware that that caught me.
30:47That caught me unawares. Um, hmm. Is Dulcich gone?
30:50Dulcich is gone. So we're going to do. Briar Muth is our third tight end bringing us to a two, five, six, three.
30:58And we've got Jane Daniels, Patrick Mahomes, Jonathan Taylor, Derek Henry, Trevion Henderson, Rashad White, Woody Marks, Rashi Rice, Terry McLaurin, Jaden Reed, Michael Pittman Jr.
31:07Jaden Higgins, Zachariah Branch, Chigakonkwo, AJ Barner, and my guy, Pat Fryer Muth.
31:12All right. Well, hey, I mean, I'm, I don't, I don't love it.
31:17Fun stat via my guy, Ian Harditz. Two tight ends hit 20 miles per hour as a ball carrier last year.
31:24Brock Bowers and, of course, one Mr. Mark Andrews.
31:27They'll never, they'll never ever make me hate Mark Andrews.
31:31I don't know. I have no earthly idea why Mark Andrews is going as cheap as he is this year.
31:38It's, uh, it's completely insane. Mark Andrews should probably be like the tight end eight, honestly.
31:44Uh, wide receiver, no obvious stacks here. All right.
31:47We're going to take Pat Bryant, a guy I have not taken very much of who I know my friend Patrick Corain remains high on.
31:56Overzet and Corain had an interesting conversation about Charlie Kalar being undervalued in the market and believe his snapshot will be relatively elite to Njoku.
32:05Any take on Kalar, I'm out. I mean, I think Charlie Kalar is basically going to be a blocking fullback.
32:12And the way that I interpret the Mike McDaniel offense is that he views the tight end position.
32:18He reviewed, he views the receiving value of a tight end quite highly.
32:23He played a ton of Darren Waller last year when other coaches would not have done that at all.
32:30Look at these snap shares for Darren Waller. Um, so he comes back 58%, 29, 69%, 28, 46, 38, 54, 49 and 41.
32:38This was like an aging, like the guy, the guy had absolutely nothing on the field last year had, had absolutely nothing.
32:46So I tend to think that probably Gadsden is going to end up playing more than the market expects.
32:52I would guess that Corain and company are probably projecting Gadsden to see like a drastic reduction in snap share and in route share.
33:01And that's probably true at the base. But Gadsden is also one of those, what do you win when you win guys?
33:09And the, what do you win with Gadsden? I think is massive because you can win that role that Darren Waller just played.
33:17You can win that role that Johnny Smith had right there.
33:21It's a very, very potentially valuable role for, for that team.
33:25All right. Do I want to take one more wide receiver or do I want to take, I mean, Jonathan Taylor, Derek
33:33Henry, I probably need to take a wide receiver.
33:36And you know what I'm going to do? This is for my guy, Chess Liam.
33:41I don't know where he, okay. Well, I was going to take Iuke, but now, well, this one can also be for Chess Liam.
33:50I'll take Kayshawn Booty. So final team, Jaden Daniels, Patrick Mahomes, Jonathan Taylor, Derek Henry, Trevion Henderson, Rashad White, Woody Marks, Rashi
33:57Rice, Terry McLaurin, Jaden Reed, Michael Pittman Jr., Jaden Higgins, Zachariah Branch, Pat Bryant, Kayshawn Booty, Chigga Konkwo, AJ Barner, and Pat Friermuth.
34:06We are up in our next draft at the 1.11, drafting with Frog Bird Bats, RB1, Reed Spencer, J.
34:12Alex, S. Hughes, NYG, Justin Hall, Chris 70, Jake 11, TD 1717, and Bob Mob.
34:18I love, by the way, seeing all of these non-badgers.
34:21I mean, that'll, that just, that just makes your heart fill with joy.
34:26And then, Neil will be with us for our next draft, and we'll be knocking out a Best Ball Mania as we take Justin Jefferson.
34:35Is there, I mean, who is the guy that you end up taking in these drafts that you feel the best about?
34:43When you start a draft with Justin Jefferson, and then you get one of these litany of running backs, I mean, man.
34:51A Justin Jefferson, Kenneth Walker start, I gotta have that combo so many times.
34:56But, man, is that combo good. 4.9% of my drafts happens 0.8% of the time organically.
35:01See, Liam, I can, I can get unique. Crane was saying it's less of a knock on Gadsden and more of a
35:09case of Kalar just being the starting inline over Njoku.
35:13I mean, I think Crane is probably correct about that.
35:16Where I would feel that there is not room for profit on that would be, is I think that Njoku will still probably play.
35:25He'll still probably be a little bit of a thorn in the side.
35:29In general, I don't think Njoku is gonna play very much, but he's gonna play enough to be annoying for everyone else on the team.
35:38Like, well, like, about 30% of the snaps probably for David Njoku, which is just, it's just not a great, it's not great.
35:46It's not great for Kalar, it's not great for Gadsden, it's not great for Ladd McConkie, right, if they're not gonna play.
35:54Like, if the Chargers sort of stubbornly say Trey Harris and Quentin Johnson are gonna play outside.
36:00I've gotten and seen Jefferson and Gentie. I mean, I bet I've got some combos of that.
36:06I bet I've got Jefferson and Gentie. Jefferson and Gentie, I have got seven of those, and it happens 0.7% of the time.
36:15I mean, that is, it is the, the ideologically purest spot to start your drafts.
36:20I mean, it does, it just feels so good to have those two guys.
36:25One and done pick for the U.S. Open. I mean, man, does this course look really hard.
36:31I wish I would have saved Scotty for this.
36:34Sadly, Connor and all my one and done pools, I am way behind, so I'm gonna have to do, I'm gonna have to do horrible stuff.
36:43I'm gonna have to, like, take, you know, Minwoo Lee or whatever.
36:48But if I was, if I was in a good spot, I would want to take Jon Rahm.
36:54I would want to take Scotty. And maybe, maybe outside opinion, I, I quite like Matt Fitzpatrick, actually, at the U.S.
37:01Open. That is, that is indeed the sloppy start.
37:05I mean, I think, I think you can sub in Gentie or Walker and make it the sloppy start.
37:11But man, does it feel good? Etienne or Kyron would both be great here.
37:16Honestly, I was gonna say, I probably need to move Javante into this range in my rankings.
37:22Zay Flowers at 33. All right, well, we'll take Etienne.
37:26Who I, is Etienne gonna rise in average draft position if something happens with Kamara?
37:31I mean, I guess the answer is probably yes, it probably will.
37:36I mean, if Fob Mob does not take Kyron, I'm going to.
37:40Fourth round Kyron is just wild. Yeah, we're gonna do it.
37:44And now, I feel very good about my team.
37:47I mean, could the, the, the Fock computer better give me an A on this one, dude.
37:53What, stud wide receiver first. ADP value on Etienne and Kyron.
37:57This, this better be an A start. Or I'm gonna be, I'm gonna be, uh, annoying.
38:03Belgium, Egypt about to start. Yes, it's gonna be, it's gonna be fire.
38:07I saw someone get McCaffrey, Jefferson. I wonder how many of those I have.
38:12Jefferson and McCaffrey together. I do have one. I've got one.
38:16So if that's the combination you need this year, I've got at least one.
38:21Kyron is the Mark Andrews of running backs. I can see that.
38:25Underappreciated. Everyone always just thinks he's gonna get benched.
38:29But man, does that guy score fantasy points. The Frenchie six.
38:33Yes, with the 11 of 12 advancing. Yeah. That is, that is a, honestly, I had just not done nearly enough thinking for that format.
38:42But I thought it was a very, I thought it was a very cool format.
38:47I love when they're doing, I love when they are doing that with their contest.
38:52Like, I think there should just be all kinds of stuff like that.
38:57Like, we're doing all these contests all over the course of the summer.
39:01We should have an infinite style of options. Like, the Eliminator is a different style of contest.
39:07You know, there are all these different styles of contest.
39:11Weekly winners, you know. And now that there's not the marathon and the sprint, there's even more room to experiment, I think.
39:19I see Josh Allen fall to the fourth every so often.
39:23I would say maybe, oh, what do you think about?
39:26About 8% of the time or something like that, we get Josh Allen falling to the fourth round.
39:33I think that seems about right. I mean, it seems about right in terms of how often it happens.
39:40Not that it is, like, game theory optimal or anything like that.
39:44Although I haven't really, I do know that our friends over at Legendary Upside are not big Josh Allen drafters, so take that with what you will.
39:53And I think the early quarterback stuff, I know from messing around with the flock tool, it doesn't like it very much either.
40:02I don't need a ton of Frenchie sixes, but I don't mind a variety that includes a functional guarantee to be in a 1 of 15.
40:11Yeah. I mean, hey, it would be very disappointing to be someone like me who is drafting all offseason.
40:18Just, you know, I've been drafting since the NFC Conference Championship game.
40:22I need to have some finals teams, brother. I am not going to take Lamar.
40:27If he comes back around to me, I'll take him.
40:31I'm going to take Tate here. So I'm going to try and...
40:35I want to get my Tate and Tyson exposures a little bit closer.
40:40It doesn't feel like I should have 11... Oh, 11%.
40:43No, I have 17% of Tyson, and I just don't have nearly that much of Carnell Tate.
40:49Let me check that again. Carnell Tate, I only have 10% of.
40:54Yeah, there you go. And I just did an import at 625 completed draft.
40:59Sorry. Not passing on Lamar there. Lamar in round six.
41:02I think Lamar in round six is an auto-click to me.
41:06I think this is the year three vomit stacks win everything.
41:10Okay, so what would the vomit stacks be? They'd be like Shuck and Jawan, Cam Ward and Calvin Ridley, and Aaron Rodgers and Pat Fryermuth.
41:19I could see that. Honestly, I could see those three vomit stacks being all relatively low, like relatively good floor.
41:26Not great single week ceiling, obviously, but it can all happen in one week.
41:31Yeah, Mendoza and Trey Tucker. Because, I mean, look how expensive the quarterbacks are, right?
41:36I mean, it's all anyone ever talks about in these basketball streams, but the quarterback sick goes at pick 70.
41:43Jalen Hurts is falling a little bit, but he's still a seventh round pick, sixth round pick.
41:49Dak is a seventh round pick. Justin Herbert is 7'8".
41:53Mahomes is in the eighth round now. Trevor Lawrence is in the eighth round.
41:58Brock Purdy is in 8'9". Jackson Dart is in 8'9".
42:02I mean, Kyler Murray is a tenth round pick in best ball.
42:06Jordan Love is a tenth round pick. It's tough, dude.
42:09We really are in a brave new world. Yeah, Brissette never sits.
42:14Marvin goes wild. Darnell Washington. Watson and Judy. Wow.
42:17Mr. Ben must have had himself a nice little day in the underdog fantasy best ball lobbies with the 10 gifted Membies.
42:25Big salute to my guy, Ben. Shout out to my guy.
42:29I have to admit something to my closest friends on the planet.
42:33I have been taking some Watson. I take a little bit of Shadur as well.
42:38But, man, yeah. Super W to my guy, Ben.
42:41For sure. Hmm. Well, no, we're going to take Mark Andrews on this team.
42:46That is obvious. For second quarterback, I mean, Kyler, Ward.
42:50Ward. I don't mind. I don't mind waiting on quarterback.
42:53If Ward is your second quarterback, though, you probably do end.
42:57You probably do end taking three. I'm going to stay strong.
43:01That I'd rather lose without Watson than win with him.
43:05Well, you're a good man. You're a moral and strong human being.
43:09Do I take Addison? Godwin? Mahomes? No. I mean, actually, if I take Jalen Warren, I can maybe be done at running back.
43:17Yeah, let's do that. That's what's up. Dude, that's what the Sims would want, brother.
43:23Don't let the Sims win. Don't let the Sims win.
43:26Do I do the double? Or do I? No.
43:29Actually, I'm going to take Downs and open up another stack.
43:33Yeah, there we go. All right, so we have Lamar, Walker, ETN, Kyron Warren, Jefferson Tate, and Joshua Downs.
43:40So now I've got another vomit stack. Ooh, Daniel Jones.
43:44He could be a big part of the vomit stack.
43:47Anthony Richardson gets traded to the Jets midseason, and him and AD combined for 50 points in week 17.
43:54Hey, taken right out of my dreams and put down on the page, Connor.
43:59The Adonai Mitchell thing, his ADP has actually surpassed where I have him ranked, I think.
44:05Almost. So I have 18% of him. His ADP is up 24 spots in the last 30 days, up 9 spots in the last week.
44:14I mean, that is—what is driving this? It can't just be me.
44:18Hey, there's got to be something else going on.
44:21Are the Browns really going to do this with Watson?
44:25Feels like winning three games with Shadur is better than winning six or seven with Watson.
44:30I mean, it depends on who you believe. It depends on where you are getting your information from.
44:37But I certainly think it sounds like Deshaun Watson is the odds-on favorite to be the week one quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.
44:45I don't expect it to go that well. I expect it to go quite poorly.
44:50He gave a press conference the other day where he said— He said his shoulder was feeling better, but the implication in
44:58that was that his shoulder injury has been bothering him for four years.
45:03Which, drafting a quarterback who's had a chronic shoulder injury that is quote-unquote feeling better now— I mean, how good can it feel?
45:11How good can that possibly be? It's not great, man.
45:14It's not great at all. There was a news blurb a couple days ago that AD was showing good chemistry with Geno.
45:22Okay. Christian says it's him. Christian says he's driving up the price.
45:27All right, who can screenshot me the highest Adonai Mitchell exposure on Underdog?
45:31Someone sent me the highest AD Mitchell exposure they can find.
45:35Per Munkin, he has two starting quarterbacks. Imagine you're Dylan Gabriel and you hear that.
45:40You're Dylan Gabriel. You're watching Deshaun Watson. You're watching Deshaun Watson in practice every day.
45:46You're watching Shadur. You know what a jabroni both of these guys are.
45:50That's got to be the most toxic quarterback room of all time.
45:55You have Shadur and Watson just doing bits past each other.
45:59Yeah, exactly. That was the same shoulder injury that just completely ruined Cam Newton as a starting quarterback.
46:05Shoulder injuries are nothing to mess with, just in general.
46:09I mean, I don't really think Shadur is— I don't think Shadur is any good, but I do think he'll be starting at the end of the year.
46:18I know I have the highest Ted Hurst and Zachariah Brand exposure.
46:23Hey, that is wild around here, brother, because I am a big Zachariah Brand strafter.
46:28I mean, I think we just take Kyler here, and then we can be done at quarterback with Lamar and Kyler.
46:36And then we can start jamming the tight ends and wide receivers.
46:40I mean, I think there's a huge cliff to me at wide receiver after Matthew Golden.
46:46Famous words that's never been said before. The wide receiver cliff ends with Matthew Golden.
46:51But Matthew Golden, to me, is the old—and this will probably be lost on a lot of you guys if you haven't
46:59been drafting that long—but Bateman's second year. Bateman was the wide receiver 48, and we called it the Bateman line.
47:06And he was like the last, like, kind of like upside.
47:10Like, you feel good about it. Wow. Rashad White at 111.
47:14It really is a new era. Yeah. Gabriel had every chance to start and lost it.
47:19Yeah, Gabriel stinks, too. I mean, Dylan Gabriel is cheeks.
47:23Cheeks, cheeks, cheeks. But Shadur is also cheeks, and Watson is also cheeks.
47:28So, maybe Talon Green ends up being that guy.
47:31Talon Green would be fun. I mean, he wasn't very—he was fun.
47:35Talon Green was fun in college for fantasy, but will not be, like, a fun real-life quarterback at all in any way, shape, or form.
47:44Wandale is the wide receiver line. I can't get with that.
47:48I can't get with that. My top five wide receiver exposures in order.
47:52Jerry Judy, Ted Hurst, Malik Washington, A.D. Mitchell, and McConkie.
47:56It'd be hard to nail you down from that list, Brady.
48:00I wouldn't be able to say that you were a left-wing slappy, a slappy at all, a right-wing slappy.
48:07That is a never-let-em-know-where-you're-slapping-from exposure. Who feels worse right now, Gabriel or Keon Coleman?
48:12I mean, it sounds like things are sort of going all right for Keon Coleman.
48:17It sounds like they are probably going to let him play this year.
48:22I take a little bit of Keon Coleman. The weirdest fantasy football thing last year was Seagull's adoration of Dylan Gabriel.
48:29Didn't know about it. When will the college best ball tournaments drop?
48:33I assume relatively soon. Relatively, probably. I don't remember when they dropped last year, but I would think it would be similar
48:41time to last year, would be my guess. They probably...
48:45It probably gets harder and harder for them every year to figure out all of their stuff with player IDs and getting
48:53rosters right, because the rosters are going to be very different.
48:56What team does Judy finish the year with? I think they cut him after this year.
49:02Forgive my ignorance, but what does slappy mean? You know what?
49:06I have a video for you, brother. What's the definition of a...
49:10What is a slappy, Davis? We're going to have too many rookies.
49:15All our quarterbacks are going to be guys who could be benched at any given moment.
49:20All our wide receivers are going to be useless.
49:24We're going to have more handcuffed running backs than starting running backs.
49:28If you look around the draft pod and don't see the slappy, you are the slappy.
49:34Stop caring about the projected scores and draft the shiny object.
49:37Also, it might just mean nothing. I mean, really, in general...
49:41In general, slappy just means someone who only cares about the perceived upside of a pick versus how good the pick actually is.
49:50Or their reasonable chances of attaining the ceiling. Well, alright.
49:53I missed on my guy. We did not secure the services of Mark Andrews, who took him.
49:59Jay Alex took him. So we are going to do Dallas Goddard.
50:03And this is now a three tight end team.
50:07Which stinks a little bit. So three tight end gets us to 18%.
50:11Seven wide receiver now gets us to 20%. Okay.
50:14Alright. And... Ooh, five running... Okay. Alright. We can get an S tier on this one, I think, actually.
50:2130% of Zay Flowers, 23% of Jeremy and Burden and Hunter.
50:25Yeah, you might be a slappy. You might be a slappy.
50:29A pick that makes you feel good. Slappy equals I listen to the cabal.
50:34You know, that could be it. That could be it.
50:38Those are all good operational definitions. If you were Washington and the IU trade doesn't materialize, aren't you setting a fifth or sixth for Judy?
50:46I don't... So, Chirath, I don't think Judy is that cheap this year, though, is the issue.
50:53I believe that Judy is relatively expensive this season.
50:56$10 million cap hit. And I believe this dead cap functions as a trade kicker.
51:01So, were he to be traded, there is, yeah, pretty significant amount of dead cap.
51:06So, I think it's more likely that they use this out after this year.
51:11Potential out $25 million of dead cap. That's my uneducated guess.
51:15Dude, everyone's in a cabal. You know how many best ball cabals there are, dude?
51:21There are best ball cabals everywhere. Like, there are, you know, my guy...
51:25Oh, actually, hey, someone literally just asked about this.
51:28Here you go. Best Bowl Mania is live. $10 to enter.
51:32$30,000 to first place. $250,000 in prizes. There you go.
51:36Someone literally just asked when it's getting released. There you have it.
51:40The best Bowl Mania is live. All right. Then, I gotta figure out what I am doing at tight end on this team.
51:48I mean, I guess we can take Hawkinson. Man, his ADP has really crept up, huh?
51:54That is... That is a bit startling how high that's gone.
51:58All right, well, whatever. Let's just take Hawkinson. How bad can it be?
52:03Anytime you can make a pick in fantasy football and say, how bad can it be?
52:08That's how you know you're having a good dream.
52:12A good draft. A good dream. That's how you know.
52:15All right. We've got Mr. Hawkinson. Need to grab ourselves another wide receiver.
52:20This is gonna be a Debo pick for sure.
52:23Do I take another running back? I mean, I could take Spears here and be done.
52:29No. We're gonna take... Oh, Debo Wint. All right.
52:32I'm gonna take Sean Tucker, who... I just... Man, Sean Tucker in the 14th.
52:37All right, Davis. All right. I guess we're taking Sean Tucker in the 14th round now.
52:42That's how things are playing out. Don't know if I love that.
52:47Assuming the Niners just want a 7th run pick, why don't the Commanders do it?
52:52Well, he's got to... I believe Ayuk has to report before he can be traded, I think.
52:58As a 49ers fan, I'll trade Ayuk for Judy.
53:01We will do a Best Ball Mania draft next when Mr.
53:05Neil Orfield hops in here. So I think Brandon Ayuk, there's a decent trade kicker involved or like a decent amount of...
53:13I don't fully understand the Brandon Ayuk situation. $33 million in dead cap.
53:18But right now, the 49ers are not on the hook for any of this.
53:23The 49ers are not on hook for any part of the Brandon Ayuk contract right now because he is in violation of
53:31his contract because he is not reporting. So if you don't report, you do not get...
53:36You do not get paid. So, you know, Ayuk keeps doing this, oh, the 49ers are mad because they paid me $50 million to not show up.
53:46But the only person who is kind of getting screwed right now is Brandon Ayuk.
53:51That's why the whole saga has not made any sense to me the way that I understand his contract and the way
53:59that I understand this potential trade to the commanders because the way it sounded like to me is that every day that
54:07Brandon Ayuk is not there, he is costing himself money and saving the 49ers money and decreasing the chances that he plays
54:15for the commanders and decreasing the chances that he has a successful season for the commanders.
54:20Ah, okay. Dev says there's been nothing mandatory to show up to, which I guess I had not thought about, but of course that makes sense.
54:30Yeah, if there's no mandatory minicamp, then he's not in violation of anything.
54:34I think I did see somebody say something funny.
54:37They were like, Sean McVay wants to stick it to the 49ers so bad he canceled mandatory minicamp like they were going
54:45to scrimmage with the 49ers or something. Fragile quarterback, automatic L or secret 2-millistrat this year.
54:51I mean, if you really made me say what I think is more likely to result in $2 million, I would probably
54:59say a fragile 2-quarterback strategy, but it's just, it's really, really hard to advance when other teams in your pod are smashing you at the onesie positions.
55:08It's why I draft mostly three quarterbacks and mostly three tight ends, and I feel pretty good about it.
55:15And now I'm going to take Greg Dolcich, who I am trying to get higher on.
55:21The reviews sound good for Dolcich in Miami. They sound very good, actually.
55:25Well, maybe it's actually not so much the reviews of Dolcich, but it's the reviews of the receivers.
55:32And the reviews of the receivers do not sound bullish.
55:35Ted Hurst. So we've got Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, Ken Walker, Travis Etienne Jr., Kyron Williams, Jalen Warren, Sean Tucker, Justin Jefferson,
55:43Carnell Tate, Josh Downs, Matthew Goldens, Tepan Diggs, and Ted Hurst.
55:47I mean, this really is, that's a pretty slappy wide receiver room right there.
55:52Have we considered that the commies with a GM who is just San Francisco's vice president of pro personnel just doesn't want to deal with Iuke?
56:01I haven't considered that, Joel, because I didn't know that.
56:05So that is, that is a real, this sign can't stop me because I can't read situation.
56:11When did two quarterbacks become fragile? I think two quarterbacks became fragile when Daniel Jones off a torn Achilles became a 12th round pick.
56:20Anchor running, okay, all right, you guys heard it here first from Josh.
56:24Anchor running back with a Friermuth, Helm, and Greg Dulcich tight end room will win best ball mania this year.
56:31Hey, that's, I have tight end rooms that look like that.
56:3549ers canceled minicamp, and then McVeigh canceled minicamp. I think the fields are being used for the World Cup.
56:42Okay. Didn't know that. Didn't know that at all.
56:45It's true. Back when Liam won best ball mania, back when Liam won best ball mania, I think he, I think if
56:53I remember correctly, and I think I do remember this correctly because I've heard Liam say this enough time, fields got 2.4
57:01points contributing to his roster because he had a rushing play on Josh Allen's bye week.
57:07So I think he scored, he had like 24 rushing yards.
57:10If I, if that is right, all right, I gotta go, I gotta go look up.
57:16I gotta go look up if that's right, because if that's right, I probably need to get a new hobby.
57:23I need to get a new job. I gotta do something else because if I remember exactly how many points Liam got,
57:31all right, so it would have been what, 20, 21?
57:3521? Did he have exactly two points in any of these games?
57:39Maybe not. Okay, so maybe, maybe I can, maybe I can, maybe I can save myself a little bit because at least I didn't remember the exact statistics.
57:491.2 points, maybe it was that 1.2 points game.
57:52I don't, God help me if I remember exactly Liam's thing.
57:56All right, so I'm gonna tap two wide receivers here to end.
58:00Should be pretty easy because I'm gonna take Jacoby Lane for one of them.
58:05I did, I did hear that Liam won the Tampa 200.
58:09It's true. I did indeed hear it. All right, we're gonna do Jacoby Lane and then who do I want as my final wide receiver?
58:18Who's someone I don't have very much up? You know what?
58:22Having 5.1% of Tyree Kale doesn't feel very good because it doesn't seem like he's gonna play.
58:28You know what? We're gonna take Zavian Thomas. Got ourselves wrapped up a nice little fantasy football team there.
58:35We have got Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, Ken Walker, Travis Etienne Jr., Kyron Williams, Jalen Warren, Sean Tucker, Justin Jefferson, Carnell Tate,
58:43Josh Downs, Matthew Golden, Stephon Diggs, Ted Hurst, Jacoby Lane, and Zavian Thomas.
58:47So a lot of wide receivers. The Zavian Thomas blurbs, they've been pretty bullish.
58:52Dallas Goddard, TJ Hawkinson, and Greg Golsich. You know, I'd love to do a Twitter search for Zavian Thomas, but I bet
59:00I won't find anything that's actually about him because the Twitter search is the worst.
59:05Hey, maybe we go here. Bears head coach Ben Johnson on rookie wide receiver Zavian Thomas.
59:11He tends to make a play almost every single day right now.
59:15He could be a big weapon for us this year.
59:19Here you go. Caleb Williams to Zavian Thomas at OTAs.
59:23Deep route. Love that. Great snag. More Zavian Thomas optimism.
59:26Don't be fooled by Thomas's spot in the wide receiver depth chart, wherever that might be.
59:32If he shows the playmaking ability he has in practice when the games roll around, the Bears are going to find a way to use him.
59:41We love to hear it, Neil. We love to hear about Zavian Thomas.
59:46Well, you're on mute. I swear I clicked that button right before I started talking.
59:51I was saying I don't love to hear it because I haven't drafted a single share of Zavian Thomas.
59:58How much have you actually drafted? I, a non, a non-zero amount.
60:02At least, at least $100 worth of Zavian Thomas because there's nothing that can be more catnip to me than a potential position change guy in the NFL.
60:12You love those guys. I just, I just love those guys.
60:16Who is the Lions running back? Sion Vocky. Oh yeah, Sion Vocky.
60:20Yes, I do. I love those guys. Have any of those guys worked out?
60:25Like, I guess it depends on the position. Depends on the position change, right?
60:30Right. Okay. I mean, Rashard Smith worked out in the sense that if he was any good, he had a role on the Chiefs last year.
60:39He just wasn't, he just wasn't any good. Like, but you can't really ask for much better than getting to be third down back on the Chiefs.
60:49He just didn't, he just literally did nothing. I mean, he just couldn't break a tackle, was not explosive, couldn't do, couldn't,
60:57I mean, Percy Harvin kind of worked, I mean, this is back in the day.
61:02Antonio Gibson, like to some extent. Antonio Gibson definitely worked out.
61:06Antonio Gibson Tyrone Tracy. Tyrone Tracy. Tyrone Tracy. I mean, it's worked.
61:10It's, I mean, Julian Edelman was a position change.
61:14He was a college quarterback. Oh, yeah. I feel like quarterback to other position works out better than other positions typically because
61:21quarterbacks like have such a good understanding of the game plan and Terrell, Terrell Pryor was a quarterback and he had a thousand yard receiving season.
61:31There's another one. There's another really big one that I just had in my brain and then I just lost it.
61:38My brain, my brain just went to a, to goo.
61:42All right, Neil, we are drafting from the third spot in best ball mania.
61:47No names that I really recognize here. So Chase.
61:50Yeah, Chase. I must be running bad on third overall picks because I only have 6.4% of, of chase.
61:57Let's boost those numbers. Logan Thomas, Logan Thomas changed position.
62:00He changed from quarterback to tight end. He hung around for a while.
62:05Felipe Franks actually did the same thing. He is on the Falcons.
62:09Jordan Matthews changed position from wide receiver to tight end and he's still on the Panthers.
62:15I don't think he is now, but he was on the Panthers for a while.
62:20It happens. It happens. I've always kind of liked the idea of a big wide receiver just getting fat and playing tight
62:28end, just letting themselves go a little bit. It's kind of fun.
62:32We're getting jacked. Probably work better. We're getting jacked.
62:35Yes. Neil, you're streaming at 4 p.m. central today, correct?
62:393.30 central. 3.30 central. Okay. We'll be wrapped up by then.
62:43I'll be out of your hair. Okay. Cool. Cool.
62:46Who is coming on with you today? Anybody? Nobody today.
62:50I've been doing just solo streams on Monday and then I stream with JSU on Tuesdays and then Wednesdays I do a
62:57podcast which I literally decided like half an hour before Gretch was going to come on the stream.
63:04I was like, you know what? People always ask me to turn my stuff into like audio format.
63:10I'm just going to do a podcast on Wednesdays.
63:13So I started doing my best ball whenever podcast on Wednesdays.
63:17So far that's it. Although we did just lose both the UFL and NBA seasons just ended and I had been doing for both of them.
63:27So I might I might start doing a little bit more sometime sometime during the week.
63:32World Cup DFS. Now's your time. I saw you had a win.
63:37I did have a win. Yeah, people are people are pretty bad at the World Cup on underdog right now.
63:44They don't there's not really understanding it. It'll probably be over and it's just like do dailies are time intensive like you got it.
63:52You got to grind if you're when you can't auto draft them like you really got to sit there and and grind.
64:00So yeah, I think it makes sense that people are not that good at it because it's probably like underdog just has like a dailies ecosystem.
64:09So it's just people are doing all the dailies all the time who aren't soccer fans.
64:15So it's like whatever I'll take whatever rankings that I can find if they even find a ranking set and and there
64:23there really aren't like there's some projections for them.
64:26I wouldn't say they're like particularly good and it's it's kind of like football.
64:31Damn. All right. We we got sniped on a low of hours.
64:35Like the I would say it's kind of almost like MLB where sure you can have projections but it's like either a
64:43guy hits two home runs or he doesn't. And if you didn't have the guy who scored two goals like if you
64:51didn't have Kai Havertz yesterday what just doesn't matter or Dennis Zundab off the bench or whatever then you're just not going to win.
65:00And it's kind of one of those things where like projections aren't really going to help that much.
65:06Like they'll help a little but you kind of just got to know like you kind of just have to pick up
65:14on latent information from watching the games and stuff.
65:17And if you don't if you don't have that it's just I mean I'm sure like I don't know you know like
65:25if if Yuda was like gonna win like he could just win you know because he's Yuda but sure you have to start watching soccer though.
65:34You have to start watching soccer. Yeah. How much soccer do you actually watch because you clearly know about this.
65:41Oh I watch I watch it's it's you know I watch a ton of soccer and a ton of golf.
65:48Okay. What do you this is a really tricky spot on the board.
65:53Like I'm fine with doing McBride I'm fine with doing bully tight end otherwise Olave is good.
65:59All right. I haven't done this yet Neil. Let's do it.
66:03Let's go. Let's go on a journey. Yeah. I have not done this.
66:08I've not done this in best ball mania yet.
66:11I don't love doing it. It makes me pretty uncomfortable but like you like both of these guys could absolutely smash could
66:19be could be exactly what you need. So I'm okay doing it from time to time.
66:24I would say I would say I like it better with Gibbs or B.
66:29John where like because our running back one is going to be like scataboo you know which is which is not great.
66:37How many drafts in the flagships. I think I believe this is best ball mania 47 for me and I think I'm
66:4565 in on draft kings but what I do on draft kings Neil is other than DK best ball week.
66:52I just enter into one slow draft today. Yeah.
66:55I wake up. I wake up and I different spot every day different spot of different.
67:01So I'm not making I'm not making the same pick and it you know kind of keeps me on pace and then
67:09for when DK best ball week comes up then I'll knock out like 20 or 25 in that week and it keeps
67:17me from because everyone has experienced this which is that you end up on the clock on a bunch of slows you're
67:24trying to shovel in a bunch of volume on draft kings the last like two weeks of the season and they never
67:32go to the four hour is it they never go to the four hour clock they just go straight to the one hour clock.
67:41Oh is that I think that might be right.
67:44I believe it was like straight to one and then 10 minutes and yeah it's real tough.
67:50Yeah. And then when the 10 minutes comes I mean I just give up whenever whenever I'm going to lose.
67:57Yeah. Yeah. It's just it's done. It's done at that point.
68:01Yeah. So the only reason I won't do what you're doing is because I don't wake up at the ask crack of dawn.
68:09So like to be in a bunch of slows on DK I'll miss some picks if I'm in too many slows on
68:17drafting because they don't have as long of a window overnight.
68:21They have they have none. They've none. There's no pause.
68:25It's just eight hours. Is that right? I did not realize there's there's no there's no overnight variability.
68:31So like literally the last thing I do before I go to bed is I make my drafting slow draft picks and
68:39but yeah there's no there's no 10 hour clock.
68:42There's no pause. You just you just have a you better sleep exactly.
68:47You sleep seven hours 55 minutes. That's tough. Yeah.
68:50I mean I queue up so I go through just like any any of my picks that have that I'm one or
68:58two away at least one or two away and queue up a few picks.
69:03All right. We got to take a running back here.
69:06I don't care which one Dave Montgomery is a pretty good start.
69:10I think here. Yeah. Yeah. Like I know that like Evans or whatever is maybe this actually sidekick probably would have told
69:18us to take Mike Evans there but I can't I can't go into I can't go into battle with with no one.
69:26We could have taken I guess we could have taken Evans because we're probably going to be a three quarterback team with maybe honestly maybe Mendoza and Brissette.
69:36Maybe that's kind of like a galaxy brain combo where Brissette starts the year and Mendoza finishes it.
69:42That's that's kind of fun. That could work. I would have maybe wanted to take Waddle here.
69:49All right. Coming up in one pick. What do you think and Neil?
69:53I'd be fine with Swift or Tootin. All right.
69:56Yeah. You know what? I very little DeAndre Swift.
70:00Let's do it. This is a this is a dude.
70:03If Jamar Chase is bad. This team will not be winning Best Ball Mania 7.
70:08David Montgomery, DeAndre Swift, Jamar Chase, Bowers and Trey McBride.
70:12I wonder how how many of these do I have?
70:16Bowers and McBride together. I have on three of six hundred and twenty five completed teams.
70:21OK. Make it for make it for. Yeah. Hey, and if it works Best Ball Mania little two million dollar shipper and
70:29then and then do you know what's so funny because no one in best ball can think for themselves and they just
70:37want to do whatever worked last year. Then it'll become like the grail strategy.
70:42Oh, yeah. You got to get two tight ends.
70:45Dude, you got to get to do at least two tight ends through five.
70:50You didn't get Tyler Warren. You're screwed. You can't win.
70:54Yeah. I mean, it always depends on how many tight ends look good this year.
70:59But if we get a big year from Bowers, McBride, Colston Loveland, Tyler Warren, like all the top guys, we have like eight elite tight ends.
71:08I could see that becoming pretty popular. Most well, and and I think a really interesting thing for next season is going to be.
71:17I think there's going to be a total refutation of the three quarterback stuff because the advance rates for the three quarterback
71:25stuff are not going to be nearly as good when the three quarterbacks are way more expensive.
71:31Like the the thing that has gotten lost is everything.
71:34All the three quarterback stuff is downstream from like the stuff that Shady's done and then everyone else kind of copying it,
71:42which is then done without the intermediate thing of a thinking machine telling you when to take a third quarterback and when not to do it.
71:51Like people just blindly applying it. And if you're just blindly applying it, you're not really going to know when to do
71:59it and when not to do it. I mean, you can guess, you know, but then you're just doing astrology.
72:06They're trying to play the what would the sidekick do game?
72:10And that's a really tough game. Tough, tough to know what a computer is going to tell you to do.
72:17Yeah. Yeah. Not like that tough because a lot of the time it's pretty like, all right, this would be what the
72:25sidekick like sometimes it is pretty apparent, but yeah, we do not have computer brains.
72:30Let's do man this. These add these historical advance rates with the two elite tight ends.
72:36Not as bad as I thought. Actually, there we might we might be able to save ourselves yet here.
72:43All right. So Tate does go. If we want a wide receiver, it is Parker Washington or Marvin Harrison.
72:50If it's a running back, it'd be a jail and Warren or Romandre.
72:54I would go Warren or Romandre. Let's take jail and Warren.
72:58Yeah, I like that because we're going to probably take nine wide receivers on this team.
73:04I would think maybe we don't need that. We don't need nine with Chase.
73:09Probably we just need we just well and our flex is already taken care of because because McBride is our flex.
73:16Yeah, that's actually that's actually a good point. And those guys do have different by weeks.
73:22We'll definitely want three quarterbacks, though. That is is definitely true.
73:26So we could take Romandre and potentially call it now.
73:30No, we'd still want five because our running back one is David Montgomery.
73:34I'm probably I'm waiting a second here or or or or Lemon or Sutton Sutton sucks.
73:40I'm I'm probably a hurts guy here. OK, plenty backstacking with hurts.
73:44I mean, yeah, well, if you even want to backstack, it would be it would be wicks.
73:50But yeah, no, I'm so hurts is falling, I guess, because AJ Brown is not his teammate anymore.
73:57And because some part of it is probably the tough postseason matchups they play.
74:02Houston and Seattle, right? Both in the playoffs, which is not great.
74:06It's not ideal. Not not ideal at all. But I mean, look, Jalen Hurts is either going to score three rushing touchdowns or he isn't right.
74:15I mean, that's just it's kind of just the barometer like the guy's either going to tush push.
74:21You know who you know who is getting some tush push buzz that his ADP has not moved at all is Malik Willis.
74:30The adult is so much. I say Mark Andrews.
74:33I don't even honestly, I don't even like Malik Willis that much.
74:37I totally see the path to him flopping on his face and I wish that he would get more expensive.
74:44I wish that he'd be going ahead of Baker Mayfield and Tyler Shuck.
74:49Dude, 2024 best ball analysts would have never let this happen.
74:53No, you're right about that. They would have never.
74:56Dude, we would be we would be like arrogantly laughing at everyone fading Malik Willis.
75:01Be like, yeah, you guys are probably scared of Anthony Richardson and Trey Lance too.
75:07Oh, you know, you're so scared. I mean, dude, it's it's I need someone to be a voice of reason on Malik Willis.
75:15I need like, you know what I need? I need Matthew Barry to go on TV and be like, you guys are crazy.
75:23Draft Malik Willis and then he'll get like 10, you know, 10 spots more expensive.
75:28Matthew Barry, Matthew Barry could move. The sidekick could also just move the market.
75:33It's like the cleanest path to moving the market would be the sidekick telling its users and that being having kind of
75:41a no cleanest cleanest path is Leone cleanest path is Leone gets back from his sabbatical or whatever he's doing.
75:48All I mean, all due respect to Karain and to leg up, but I would imagine the ETR ranks versus sidekick users
75:56is 10x or 20x or whatever is Leone. I guess maybe I'm not aware that Leone is going to come back and do the rankings.
76:05Is that something? Oh, I mean, I have no, I have no idea.
76:10Okay. I, I, I, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Just like changing the ETR rankings side, Malik Willis way higher.
76:16Yeah. Easiest, easiest path to do like this DeAndre Swift rise, like ETR I think has him ranked like 39th or something.
76:24So, so I think that's although hope, right. Yeah.
76:27Hope did tweet that only like four and a half percent of users have custom rankings saved, which I can't imagine that's correct.
76:35Yeah. Um, it'd be, it'd be Jonathan Brooks for me or we need a wide receiver.
76:41Josh Downs Downs gives us a Downs gives us a good cheap quarterback.
76:46Yeah. I like that. Uh, you'd still what you'd still want Jonathan Brooks on this team.
76:51Oh, I guess. Yeah. Let's pick 94. I guess I didn't realize how early we were.
76:57I saw Monunga and Coram come off the board and that's usually when I'm like, okay, yeah, Let's load up on Brooks now.
77:05No, I'm, I'm, I'm like that. I agree. Yeah, I agree.
77:09Uh, you're right. We, we don't really need Brooks.
77:12Um, we can, we can, we don't, we don't not need Brooks.
77:17Like we, we could, we don't need to reach.
77:20We don't need to reach on Brooks, I guess.
77:23Um, I would say it would be one of this group of wide receivers or Jonathan Brooks.
77:29Yeah. I'd be fine with any of worthy Pittman, golden Pierce.
77:33All I guess, well, I don't take much Wilson, but I think Wilson, I don't really take, I don't take real.
77:40I don't really take him much either. He is falling.
77:44Not, this is just the way his ADP is trending though.
77:48All right. Worthy goes. So Pittman gives us another late quarterback.
77:52So I think that's what we should do. Sure.
77:55I like, I think cause now we've got, now we, we've got five late quarterbacks to do.
78:01So we should feel, we should feel good there.
78:04Um, it's not that many States, um, that you have to do, but I, I'm sure they have the ability to look
78:12at the difference between person who saves their own custom rankings versus who does the CSV upload.
78:18Cause that's the big difference. That might be, it might be just be people that upload versus yeah, people who rearrange stuff themselves.
78:26That's also a draft Kings. If you, if you do a draft and auto draft it without changing the rankings, they'll throw out your draft.
78:35Actually, they don't throw out the draft. They don't throw out the draft.
78:40You're, yeah, you're, you're not, you're are not eligible to win prizes.
78:44That's right. That's right. Yeah. Yeah. I had to, um, I had to do, I actually had to test that out because
78:52draft Kings had a $1 contest for the pre-draft stuff that was going to overlay a little bit.
78:58And I was like, okay, well I'm just going to upload custom rankings.
79:03And then what I did was I start, I just joined all 20 and then I made one click and everyone just to be safe.
79:12Nice. I mean, if you upload custom, then it should be fine.
79:16Right. It just can't be, I think if you have rankings, you're fine, but I don't, I don't know.
79:23Yeah. That's, I think that's the rule at least.
79:26Imagine drafting a huge auto drafted shipper and then not being eligible to win dude.
79:31It'd be terrible. I'm sure. Use that in content forever though.
79:35Yeah. Oh, you're right. You're right. How much is that?
79:39How much is that worth for content? That's actually a great question for content.
79:44How much would that be worth? Uh, is it worth, I think first prize in that was one T dot 20,000.
79:51I think is that, is it, is it, is it a $20,000?
79:56I don't think it's worth that much. No, it's probably worth like a couple thousand.
80:01I was going to say like a two, two K bit, something like that.
80:06Yeah. Dude, I auto drafted the team and draft Kings wouldn't pay me out.
80:11You know, what's funny is because I'm a DK partner.
80:15There would probably be a way for me to be like, guys, I did draft this team.
80:21Come on. Yeah. Help me out. Actually, you know what?
80:24I take that back. That's so not the case.
80:27When you work with draft Kings, you have to dot so many eyes and cross so many T's.
80:34You have to do so much legal stuff that you don't have to do working with other companies because they are so,
80:42so much bigger and, and they have their fingers in so many pots.
80:46Yeah. No, I guess that is true. I didn't correct you when you said it during drafting this ball week when you
80:54referred to me as a fellow partner. I am not currently a draft Kings partner because I still haven't been paid for
81:02last year, which is all, which is my fault, which is a hundred percent my fault because I haven't filled.
81:09Oh, because their, their backend is so they, they do like up there.
81:14I got on a call with crane and actually had to show them how to do it.
81:20Oh really? Yeah. It's really, it's like not straightforward at all.
81:24They're, their way of doing invoicing for, for me, it's just a matter of, well, let's make our picks.
81:30Do we have any stacks here? We, we do not.
81:34Dallas Goddard. I'd go digs. Yeah. I would also go digs.
81:38Digs. I am, I'm upping that percentage of digs exponentially as, as, as I don't understand why he's remaining so cheap.
81:45Do people really not know this dude is signing?
81:49It's like the most obvious thing after the AJ Brown thing though.
81:53I'll never be surprised again. Never. Davis. I rewatched the stream that you and I did where, cause I want to see
82:01what our team looked like, where we, where we reach for AJ Brown and you were like, yeah, absolutely.
82:07You're so right. He's going to move off. Like you agreed with me.
82:12And then like after the trade, uh, you were like, I cannot believe this happened.
82:17I tried to warn you. I tried to warn you.
82:21You did. You know what you did. You did try, you did try and warn me.
82:27And, and I was, I was not helpful. Yeah.
82:30You, you, you knew ball more, you knew draft more than me then.
82:34That was a rare one that I like could predict the market.
82:39I, I'm usually not the best. I think at predicting the market.
82:43That was just a rare, a rare win. All right.
82:47Um, I think we take, this is like really kind of the last tier running back.
82:52Any of these guys is sort of like bill buddy.
82:56What do you think of bill? I, I, I do not understand the market's fascination with Rashad white.
83:02I mean, of all people to be fascinated with Rashad white.
83:06I feel like Jacob is, is number one in knowing better than, than that.
83:11I don't get it. I don't get it at all.
83:15Makes no sense to me. Rashad white is going to be exactly who he is.
83:20You know, I mean, how many, how many points did Rashad white score last year?
83:25Rashad white 8.41 points per game, 572 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, 40 receptions, 218 yards.
83:31That sounds about right. That sounds about right for what he's going to do.
83:36I mean, he could do a little bit better than that, but I mean, if anything, and you don't even have to
83:44be a bill bro, you, you can, you can hate bill and you can be, you know, whatever, whatever.
83:51It's just going to be Katron who they're already talking about.
83:54I mean, they literally said the thing, the coaches literally said, yeah, we just want him to be Chris Rodriguez, which for
84:02most of Chris Rodriguez, his career has been looking really, really good in practice.
84:07Kind and waved five times in the same season by the Washington commanders.
84:12Damn. I did not know that. Yeah. It's fun.
84:15So I'm making fun of their shot. White pick while I also am like definitely overweight on Rashad white, like just this
84:23range of running backs like Aaron Jones, Jordan Mason, Rashad white bill load me up on this range.
84:29Less and less because I think we're getting a little bit more info on some later running backs that are making that are sounding more interesting to me.
84:39So I'm a little bit more willing to push it, but yeah, I do have a fair amount of Rashad white, just, you know, ambiguous backfields.
84:49I think it's generally a good bet. But I, the latest quote of like, we want to get bill involved as a
84:56pass catcher and then he could be the feature back to me was, was pretty.
85:02That was so like some people took, some people took that to be very bearish, Neil.
85:07I know. Some people, some people took that to be, Oh, well, they're just going to play Rashad white.
85:14And I took that to be, no, this is a smart game plan from there.
85:20We want, we want it to be bill. We want to get involved in the passing game is how I read it.
85:27It's like, like we, we understand that Rashad white is not going to be an every down back, which to me is
85:35like limits the upside on guys like Rashad white.
85:38Like these guys are not meant to be featured backs.
85:42Whereas bill, if he can just like handle the pass catching, they want him to be a featured back, which is super bullish to me.
85:51Couldn't, couldn't agree more. Rick really, really couldn't agree with that anymore.
85:55All right. Probably time for us to take a quarterback, probably time for us to take Mr.
86:01Mr. Dimes here. Unless there's anyone you really, really want.
86:05No, I like, I like dimes. I don't really like dimes, but he didn't.
86:10Okay. Darnold went. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I don't really like him either.
86:14I was going to say if, if Darnold didn't go, then we could have taken Rashid.
86:20Try and try and do the double tap to us.
86:24Yeah. But, oh, don't please do not even get me started on the, on the hydration break.
86:30I, I'm literally, it's like literally like ruining the world cup.
86:34It's the worst, it's the worst thing of all time.
86:37I absolutely hate it. I'm totally like out of touch with sports culture right now.
86:42I did. I didn't watch the UFC fight on the white house.
86:47I didn't. I didn't watch the world cup. I'm just, yeah.
86:51I watched the UFL championship. We gotta watch. I watched NBA championship.
86:55Uh, anyone, Omar Cooper also gives us I like Omar Cooper.
86:59Yeah. Yeah. That'd be my pick. So now, so now we have got, look at that, look at that sea of green of the shittiest quarterbacks imaginable.
87:08Aaron Rogers, Geno Smith, Mendoza and Brissette. We all have a stacking options at the end here.
87:15So I'm surprised that Aaron, Aaron Rogers has not moved up more.
87:19I feel like after he signed the expectation once he was going to move up to like one 50 or so, and
87:27he just hasn't really budged that much. How much more can a guy who is just never ever getting 20 fantasy points go?
87:35You're right. You're right. Like I, I was, I have a, I was taking a lot of Aaron.
87:41I believe he was like maybe my most drafted quarterback in the pre-draft stuff.
87:46He's still one of my most drafted quarterbacks overall.
87:49Cause my current batch of slows. Oh my God.
87:53This current, I saw your, your stream title is, is slow draft heaven.
87:57I mean, how many, how many are you in right now?
88:01Like 300 ish. Oh, okay. All right. There we go.
88:05Someone, someone who has now joined me in true levels of depravity in terms of slow drafts.
88:11Cause you were trying to do the field general.
88:14Uh, yeah, I did. I did 140 field generals last second.
88:18Um, I'm in 266. So I, I overshot how many I'm in 266.
88:22Um, that's right. Yeah. How many I'm in. I had been thinking about doing a, just like slow draft copy, copy the, the Ben Gretsch old.
88:32Um, and then like, so, so I had this, the thumbnail has just been sitting there for me for a couple of weeks.
88:40And then I saw shady advice has started doing a slow draft hell.
88:45This is his Friday night streams. Um, but yeah, it's, you know, just, we're going to go through, make some picks and then jump into a draft.
88:54Um, save myself some time. You know, I'm going to stream anyway, and I got to make these picks.
89:01Might as well just double up, do them together.
89:04Yeah. Gretsch was, uh, Gretsch was the King, the slow draft, the slow drafting King.
89:09Um, I am just so used to rifling through slow draft picks.
89:14I tried to do it a couple of times.
89:17I was like, Oh, before I start, I'm in 50, I have 50 ones, but like my mental framework for it is
89:25just to blow through the pick so quickly that it was not particularly good content is like when I have a menu of slow drafts, um, it's done.
89:35It's honestly me too. Like, and I did this on one stream already this year and kind of felt like that.
89:42Like I just like, I get so wrapped up in just like making the pick.
89:48Like, and it's just like, I'm going to click this one.
89:51Okay. I'm going to take Stefan Diggs here. Okay.
89:55I'm going to, and it's just like, you don't really talk about it that much.
90:00So I'm going to try to be a little bit better about talking about my picks, the team, like why the pick makes sense, that kind of stuff.
90:10Um, but I'm with you like, cause you also don't want to spend two hours making slow draft picks.
90:17So it's hard to, I don't know. You gotta, gotta find a middle ground there.
90:22It's true. And I mean, slow drafts to me are at this stage of my life.
90:28They are just a necessary evil. I would prefer to be 10 tabling puppies or whatever, just to, to make it all go through quicker.
90:37But I just don't, I don't have as much time and, and I'm trying to, I am trying to do these world cup dailies.
90:45So there really is, you know, there's, there's limited time in the day.
90:50All right, Neil, if we wanted to take another running back now would be the time actually just take our, let's do
90:58our quarterback now, which, which one do you want?
91:01Probably Rogers. Like he's not going to get benched.
91:04He's the one that we know is going to start and he's going to be the quarterback as long as he doesn't get hurt.
91:13Yes, it's true. Uh, I mean, you know, uh, your beauties in the eye of the beholder on that in terms of
91:20how many fantasy points he can generate, but I mean, agreed on that too.
91:25If we're, if we're doing, I mean, I would say Aaron Rogers being a 14th round pick Bryce young being a 13th
91:33round pick CJ Stroud going in the one thirties like nothing could be more evident of the three quarterback meta than this.
91:41Like that is just, yeah, we pushed him way up.
91:45But it's just, it's a, it's a whole new world and you know, everyone got crazy.
91:50The one year taking 10 wide receivers, only doing four running backs and things like that.
91:56But this, this is, is probably correct. Um, all right, we should probably do our last running back here.
92:03What are your, what are you thinking? I'd be fine with Coleman or, uh, Tucker or Braylon Allen.
92:09Let's do, uh, let's do Tucker, Tucker. Tucker. I, I am, I just really like him and you know, as they, as
92:17they famously say, what's, what's the difference between a 15th round pick and an 18th round pick?
92:23They're all just dollar players, Neil. They're all just, they're all just, come on, man.
92:28They're all just dollar players. I, I don't, in fact, actually it's, it's probably even worse than that because let me check.
92:36Sean Tucker is drafted in. Oh, that can't. Okay.
92:39I was going to say it there. I've got the combos on.
92:44So Sean Tucker is drafted in best ball mania, 7.7% of drafts.
92:48So that's almost a hundred percent because 8.3 is a hundred percent.
92:52Yeah. Yeah. So Sean Tucker, and then let's compare that to Jaden blue, who is also like basically a running back three.
93:00Jaden blue is only drafted in 2.8% of drafts.
93:03So that's like, like what, roughly like 30% of the time, something like that.
93:08I would need, I would need someone to break that math out deeper than me.
93:14But basically Sean Tucker is being drafted all of the time, almost a hundred percent of the time, certainly a hundred percent
93:21of the time now because he's like a 14th round pick and other guys with very, very similar ranges of outcomes are not being drafted at all.
93:31And that is a way to get unique in fantasy football.
93:35That does not require drafting George Pickens at the 2.3, like Chess Liam wanted me to do.
93:41At the 2.3. Got to flip the board dude.
93:44Got to flip the board. What's Taj Brooks's draft percentage?
93:48I'm going to guess, I'm going to guess that's a flat zero, sir.
93:52I'm going to guess we've, I'm going to guess Taj Brooks is 0.0.
93:57No 0.1%. All right. So that means that there are drafts in the flock database that someone has taken Taj Brooks.
94:04It might be this guy. It might be this guy drew.
94:08And you know what? Another great point from from my guy, Roni Baloney is that Jaden Blue is legit like a hundred percent drafted last year.
94:18And, and I mean, he wasn't very good. The coach, the coaching staff has said a lot of kind things about him though, but I did not anticipate.
94:28I thought the coaches would be like, yeah, it'd be really great if we didn't have to cut this jabroni, but there
94:35it's, there's all been good stuff there. I mean, they don't have great backups and like they do not have great Javante
94:43as good as Javante was for like part of last year.
94:47He's no sure thing. No. So yeah, I'm sure they would like for Jaden Blue to be something.
94:54Go ahead. Who do you want? I mean, I do like Edna Mitchell, but we have Rogers.
95:00I probably take Jeremy Bernard. All right. Well, you can't, you can't give me, you can't, you can't give me, you can't
95:07give me the Edna Mitchell treat and then pull it back, dude.
95:12That's crazy. You are right. No, I'm a big fan of Edna Mitchell.
95:16That's, that's cool with me. Man, the zone takes Eli Stowers.
95:20So, so you're not, I guess we, we already have two tight ends.
95:25We don't really need Stowers. We do not. We didn't.
95:28And in fact, Wicks would be the better. Our, our wide receivers are Jamar Chase.
95:34And then a bunch of guys, we are hoping to get 11 points in a given week.
95:40We can take Burmy Jernard though. Let's take, let's take Burmy Jernard.
95:44Yeah. All right. There we go. I mean, I don't know.
95:48I don't know how much, how well we, we saved this team.
95:52We did, we did. Okay. If we did, we did the best we could, you know, we, we did, we did the
96:00double, we did the double elite tight end. And I love this.
96:04That's just the way you love this team so much better than you do.
96:09Yeah. This is, I mean, we got once we're done, we'll take a look at our, our different positional buckets.
96:17I'm going to be like, all these look strong to me.
96:20I think, I think you could, I mean, Hey, it's really a matter of what do the scoring distributions for Bowers and McBride look like?
96:29Are there spikes coming on the same week? Are like it is, I mean, it's just kind of how drafting tight ends in general works.
96:38Like you can draft the worst shittiest tight end room, but if they just perfectly dispersed, like TJ Hawkinson, Dalton Schultz and
96:46David and Joku could be the nutted tight end room.
96:50Yeah. Despite them all finishing tight end 11. Or worse.
96:53If their, their numbers just perfectly lay in. And if we basically never have worse than 16 points at tight end.
97:01Yeah. We're going to feel awesome. If one week Trey McBride leaves early, uh, comes back in the game has a 16
97:08yard catch in the fourth quarter, but that's it.
97:12And Bowers only has 44 yards and a touchdown.
97:15And that's kind of all it takes. Like then, then all of a sudden we're just like way behind everyone else.
97:22If that happens. I, I should take back saying that I love this team, but I think this team works.
97:29I think this is a good team to have in the portfolio is actually what I mean when I say that because
97:37like, I think we pulled off the bully tight end pretty well here with, with McBride.
97:43If you're going to have McBride and Bowers, like I feel like we, we didn't get any like crazy great followers, which
97:51is what you really need to love a team.
97:54Um, but we, we got some strong groups, I think in every position to, despite, you know, kind of waiting on our
98:02wide receiver too, and not taking a running back until the late fourth round and waiting on quarterback.
98:08Like, I feel like it all kind of came together.
98:12Okay. I don't, I mean, I don't think it is the, I don't think this is the worst fantasy football team I've ever drafted, you know?
98:21Yes. I mean, obviously one of the things is, is we, we, we don't need it every week, but we need a
98:29decent combination of them both kind of spiking at the same time as well.
98:34Yeah. I mean, we don't need it every week, but yes, that's like the idea of drafting in the second and third round.
98:42Like you would like to have your tight end in the flex frequently, or just like if they ping pong elite, elite
98:50tight end weeks, you know, 22 fantasy points, then then it's okay to not have one in the, in the flex all the time.
98:58For sure. All right. What are you thinking for our last pick here?
99:03So we're at three, five, eight, two, three, five, seven, two, three, five, seven, two.
99:08Okay. Let's see. There is really not an obvious stack for anyone.
99:13We've got week 17 stuff with Christian Kirk or Jacoby Lane or Devon Bailey or Zavian Thomas.
99:19Oh, take your guys, Zavian Thomas. We could take our guys.
99:23It could be my first share if we want to do that.
99:27Um, let's see. There's no great cult slate. Um, no, I assume Pat Bryant is gone.
99:33Pat Bryant just went. Yeah. Who I'm not really that hip to, but Corrine does seem to really like it.
99:40Corrine, Corrine seems to be really, really into it, which we, you know, we did our, um, our perfect draft thing the other day.
99:48Yeah. Yeah. And, and that was his round 18 pick, which I was flummoxed by.
99:54Honestly, he's one that, so Gretz talked about him on, on my podcast, um, talked about it.
100:00Like he thinks Pat Bryant should go in every draft at the very least.
100:05He should be picked in every draft. Um, and there, and the reason is partially like toward the end of the year.
100:12Like there were, there was a game that they, he was injured on the first drive, but they targeted him like three or four times on that.
100:22I think he had three catches on like four targets or something.
100:26Um, like they, he seemed to overtake Troy Franklin late in the year.
100:31The tough thing is obviously they bring in Jalen Waddle and it's like, okay, so is he the wide receiver three and
100:39like how much you love a wide receiver three?
100:42Um, you could make the argument though, that like Cortland Sutton was kind of phased out for a while last year.
100:50And then they brought him back in and he was like the clear alpha down the stretch, but like there's at least,
100:57you know, as far as wide receivers go, I think we have Cortland Sutton pretty like, um, in our minds entrenched as the wide receiver too.
101:07And it might not be as sure a thing.
101:10No, no. I, I actually, that I actually do agree with that.
101:14That's actually a good point. Cortland Sutton has existed the most recent two seasons on the Broncos, like by the reality that
101:22the other guys have been quite poor, but Cortland Sutton is fine.
101:26I mean, but would he stop a true breakout from Pat Bryant or Troy Franklin if they were really ascending?
101:33No. And I think the answer is like clearly my guy, Jim.
101:38I mean, I think Jalen Waddle, I am not, I hate the Broncos.
101:42I hate Sean Payton. I hate Bo Nix. I really hate everyone on the whole organization, but Jalen Waddle is going to like feast.
101:51Jill, if J if people were being intellectually honest, Jalen Waddle would like go where Devonta Smith goes.
101:57He'd be like a two, three turn pick of people were being serious.
102:02I feel like Jalen Waddle is the one that I have just capitulated to all the sharps because I don't like, I don't get excited to draft Jalen.
102:12You don't. You're like, you're like every freaking time I take a stance on this guy in the D.K.
102:18Millie goes to the tent. He leaves every exactly every single game.
102:23He leaves to go to the tent. It's the most frustrating thing.
102:27But like I capitulate because I just recognize that like every sharp person I know loves Jalen Waddle.
102:33I just got to accept that he's he's a really talented player who as long as he doesn't get hurt is going to crush in this often.
102:43It's also the Broncos are just a frustrating team as part of it for me, too, because it's like you say, I
102:51hate Sean Payton because in part because Sean Payton is terrible for fantasy assets because he just will mix up, you know, like like we saw last year.
103:01It's like, oh, suddenly Troy Franklin descending then pulls that back and gives us Pat Bryant a little bit.
103:08I guess Pat Bryant got hurt. So maybe that was part of it.
103:12But I don't know. It's just been it's been a frustrating few years.
103:17It hasn't always been that way for Sean Payton, though.
103:20So so, you know, got to got to keep in mind that he has.
103:25No, it actually has always been that way for Sean Payton.
103:29It's just that he had players who were so spectacular that some of his foibles didn't matter.
103:35Like, like, let's go back and look at like, let's go look at a 2018 Saints team.
103:41I bet there's going to be someone on this team that you and I both forgotten who had 40 catches.
103:49Like like someone who I couldn't conjure out of thin air.
103:52All right. So the Saints that year, seventh in the NFL and passing touchdowns.
103:57They were third in the NFL in points, eighth in yards on that team.
104:02Mark Ingram had one hundred thirty eight rushes. Taysom Hill had thirty seven with two rushing touchdowns.
104:08Yeah. Also on this team, Ben Watson, who was thirty eight, had thirty five catches.
104:14Traequan Smith at twenty eight. Ted Ginn had seventeen.
104:17Josh Hill. I mean, this is literally proof positive, dude.
104:21This is he's always been a dick. He's he just cannot help it.
104:25You know, it's funny. It's Ben Watson. I remember from my college days whenever I hear the name Watson, I think of
104:33my teammate from the cross country team. Nate Brigham would say Ben Watson, just the way he said the name.
104:40I can't. Was he on the Patriots at the time or maybe he was just on his fantasy team?
104:47But either way, he was very excited about Ben Watson.
104:50When you were in college, yes, he would have been.
104:54He would have been on the Patriots. Yeah. Man, he was still Zach line.
104:59Deontay Hardy. I mean, come on, dude. Like this guy.
105:03He just he loves it. He loved he loves it, dude.
105:06He's such a dick. I saw somebody say he plays to win.
105:11Yeah, that's great. Good for him to play to win.
105:14But I don't I want my family. I don't.
105:17Yeah, I don't have. I don't need them to be good.
105:21Yeah. So the answer is, is that to me, I don't really think there will be a winner of Troy Franklin, Pat Bryant.
105:30And I'm the only person who still mentions Marvin Mims and Justin Jolly and and all these guys.
105:36They're all going to have between probably between 15 and 30 receptions.
105:40And it really depend on like health and like in game.
105:4415 and 30 is a little bit bearish. I think like, you know, like any of that group is going to have more than 30 receptions.
105:53Pat Bryant and Pat Bryant. Mike Clay has Pat Bryant for 28 receptions, 320 yards, two touchdowns.
105:59All right. I mean, I guess I'm taking the over.
106:03I'm taking the over on 30 from someone beyond Waddle and Sutton.
106:07No, no. It's someone. Yes. Someone on this group.
106:11I mean, it's just very funny that Michael Bandy is in this group.
106:15That's some Sean Payton shit is, is that someone from this group will probably cleanly win the job, but cleanly winning the
106:23job is going to be like 62% of the routes.
106:27Yeah. Yeah. I guess it won't be, it won't be, it won't be like, put it this way.
106:33There will never be a time where Pat Bryant is 19% owned in the Millie maker won't happen.
106:39The conditions, the conditions would not, I mean, maybe if Sutton or Waddle gets hurt.
106:45I think like the right matchup. Yeah, you're right.
106:48I mean that, that probably if both are healthy, I would say I'm a little bit more bullish on the standalone value
106:56just from the standpoint I just laid out of what if he just surpasses Cortland Sutton?
107:01Like, I don't think that's that crazy to have Pat Bryant just surpass Cortland Sutton.
107:07It's obviously not the likeliest outcome, but I think it's within the range of outcomes because they just spent pretty good.
107:14What was he? Second round pick last year. Oh, he's a third round pick, but then he was pretty good last year.
107:22They were starting to feature more. I don't know.
107:25So I think it's within the range of outcomes.
107:28Obviously not the likelihood. I also obviously have not been drafting a ton of Cortland Sutton.
107:34Have you been in on Sutton at all? Oh, no.
107:38I was going to say Sutton might be Sutton might be one of like my like truly like least drafted players.
107:45Like he might be in like my. Like I've drafted him 20 times, but like sub 1% of him or whatever.
107:53Yeah, I did my podcast with Debro on last Wednesday and he suggested Cortland Sutton.
107:58I was like Cortland Sutton had not even crossed my mind.
108:02I just like don't even see the name when it's there.
108:06Cortland Sutton. I've drafted eight times through 625 completed drafts on underdog fantasy.
108:10All right. So more than me, I think. No, you are.
108:14You are not misremembering that Pat Bryant was sort of taking over.
108:19Yeah, but it was like literally just one drive.
108:22He got hurt after one drive. He got hurt after one drive.
108:26I think maybe I'm thinking of a different game, but I think it was that game.
108:32No, I'm fairly certain you are correct. Okay. Jamar Chase.
108:35Let's break this down. Jalen Hurts, Daniel Jones, Aaron Rogers, David Montgomery, DeAndre Swift, Jalen Warren, JCM, Sean Tucker, Jamar Chase, Josh
108:43Downs, Michael Pittman Jr., Stephon Diggs, Omar Cooper, Adnan Mitchell, Jeremy Bernard, Zabian Thomas, Brock Bowers, Trey McBride.
108:50It could be it could be better. Could it be worse?
108:54I think this is a perfectly cromulent team. Could we have taken I wonder if Darnell Washington went because I might I
109:01might have preferred Darnell Washington over Zabian Thomas. We've already got a big Pittsburgh bet, but I know I that's that's fine.
109:09I think you're I think you're probably right or or Friermuth, honestly.
109:13Yeah. Yeah. Either one who I assume Friermuth is gone, but maybe I'm wrong about the the order in there.
109:21Yeah, I think both are perfectly fine bets. But yeah, like I think so our tight ends obviously elite like we're good at tight end.
109:29We don't need to talk about that. I think our quarterbacks are totally fine.
109:34We have Jalen Hurts. I think he like he's too cheap for his upside and we added on two more quarterbacks.
109:42Our wide receivers I think are pretty strong like Jamar Chase obviously elite.
109:47Then we don't take another till 94, but we get there with volume.
109:51I think digs is going to be a riser.
109:54Obviously, we already took him ahead of ADP, but we got some some strong values at wide receiver.
110:01We had one of Omar Cooper Adnan Mitchell is going to win out and be the wide receiver to there.
110:08Hopefully we just need one of them to take off.
110:11I don't know. I think our wide receivers are fine and then our running backs similarly are fine.
110:18So I think it's I guess we kind of come out similar in our thought where it's like, yeah, it's not my
110:26favorite team ever, but I think based on, you know, doing the elite tight end thing, I think it works as a
110:34team that if those two crush like this is a good team to have in the portfolio.
110:40Yeah, no, I'm I if you're drafting a billion teams, you should do some stuff like this is one of those.
110:47I wouldn't I wouldn't say this is something you should do.
110:51If you're like, even if you're drafting 100 teams, I would say it's probably you don't need to do it.
110:58But if you are, if you are someone like us, you can you can do that.
111:04All right. Neil. Tell the people about the flannel verse and then actually real quick.
111:09You guys think there are like 40 likes on this stream.
111:13I'm going to I'm going to not do this stream anymore.
111:17I'm going to quit and go hang out with my baby unless you guys can get it to 100 likes.
111:24What are we doing? Tell the people tell the people about the flannel verse.
111:29Yeah, the flannel verse is my channel where I just do an NFL these days.
111:34I've done a little bit of everything, but these days just to an NFL.
111:39I'm doing streams every Monday by myself Tuesdays with JSU from run pure sports.
111:44And then on Wednesdays rotating guest best ball whenever is my podcast.
111:49You can also find that wherever you get your podcast will come out each the following Thursday.
111:55Yeah. And then during during the NFL season, obviously I'm doing showdown stuff.
111:59I'm doing all all types of DFS content during the season.
112:03But yeah, right now you can find best ball stuff.
112:07I'll probably add to the schedule as well. But right now, Monday through Wednesday doing streams today.
112:13We're going to start with some some slow drafts and then work our way to a best ball mania.
112:20All right. There you go. You guys will be automatically redirected there.
112:24Neil. Thank you for hopping on. I appreciate you, bro.
112:27Have a nice day. All right, guys. How many how many likes do we have?
112:33I'm going to go check. I'm going to go check right now.
112:37And if you guys don't get to the requisite number of likes, I'm out of here because it's a beautiful, beautiful sunny day.
112:45Outside right now, really, really couldn't be nicer outside.
112:48I could be walking my dog. I could be I could take my I could take my son to the pool.
112:56I could go kill some weeds. There's a lot of stuff that I could be doing outside that is not hanging out with you guys.
113:05And how many likes are there? 76, bro. Come on.
113:0876. I can't do I can't be doing that.
113:12Let's let's actually while we're here waiting for you guys to get 100 likes.
113:17I actually want to check my exposures. So my overall exposures right now.
113:21The player I have got drafted. If we don't get the requisite number of likes, if we can't get 100 likes, then
113:29you guys all have to draft Cortland Sutton. That's the deal.
113:33That's the deal. Luther Burden. 152. Wow. All right.
113:36We have we have crested. We have crested the thousand dollar barrier.
113:40Look at this. Luther Burden. 24 percent. Terrence Ferguson.
113:4423 percent. Gunner Helm. 23 percent. Xavier Worthy. 22.
113:47Zachariah Branch. 22. Kenneth Walker. 21. Mahomes. 21. You know what's sad is my Mahomes is going to go down.
113:54I'm not going to. I'm not going to. Have that much Mahomes because he's getting more expensive now.
114:00What is the math behind the portfolio grade? So I believe and I would have to confirm this with the devs, but
114:08I believe the way the portfolio grade works is it's literally an average of all these teams.
114:14So it is an average of all the 625 teams I have tossed in here inside of of the pool.
114:21I wonder what my best one is. Let's sort by sort by ADP score.
114:26This is my this is my best team. Is Daniels, Herbert and Mahomes.
114:31Tootin, Price, Warren. Brian Robinson. Singleton. Clayball. OK, so this was a pre draft one.
114:36Puka, Nico, Flowers, Downs in the 13th, Concepcion, Hunter, Debo, Bowers at 210, Gadsden and T-Ferg.
114:42Pretty good. Davis. Davis looking at his chief's exposure and Liam looking at his bills exposure as a Spider-Man pointing at each other meme.
114:50Yeah. I'll just take just take a hydration break.
114:54How does the tool account for advanced rates based on historical position prices that have the new ADP landscape?
115:00It doesn't. It doesn't. Not yet. Not yet. The way the way that the guys have built the tool was they really
115:08wanted to get something out for this iteration of Best Ball Mania.
115:13Yes, it is a team portfolio grade, not an individual player exposure portfolio grade.
115:18Although potentially we could potentially we could figure something out.
115:21I mean, like I said, if any of you guys do have ideas, like if there's something you're like, oh man, I
115:29really wish that my portfolio had this. I really wish that I could view this.
115:34I really wish that there was a way to look at my fantasy teams like this.
115:40If you let me know, I can communicate that to the flock devs and it is very easy.
115:46Not very. I mean, I guess I shouldn't say it's very easy, but it is something that the team is willing to work on basically more or less.
115:56All right. Final draft of the stream. You guys did not get the requisite number of likes, but you basically you more or less called my bluff.
116:06So shout out to you for that. And we are drafting at the two slot with raise 84, Nordy, Jeff double zero
116:14nine, park had seven d cash two, two three.
116:17I am or in 84 a. I koozie Matt Nagy disciple.
116:21That is the funniest underdog name I've seen. Matt.
116:24Matt Nagy disciple is a very good bit. E diddy NYC Zach W and Z staff.
116:30Let's get it. Yes, there is. So your super flex drafts get imported, but we do not have historical data.
116:37For the super flex, though. All of the stack in the week 17 information and everything, all of that stuff does show up in the super flex.
116:47So I still use it when I'm making my super left super super flex picks.
116:52Yeah, I do not know. I do not know why they refuse to stop the clock during the hydration break.
116:59It's I mean, the whole hydration like seriously do not get me started.
117:04It is basically the single most annoying thing in my life right now.
117:08It tells you that probably tells you a lot about my life, but man, is it annoying?
117:14Really, really tilts me. Reception perception had a doctor on who said he was hard fading Bucky this year.
117:21Not sure what that's worth because of the because of the shoulder injury.
117:26He thinks it's going to be he thinks there is going to be a recurrence of the of the shoulder injury.
117:33I mean, I can I can I can I can see a recurrent shoulder injury.
117:38The league is going to be drastically different from this season last year.
117:43I actually tend to think that's true because I think we're sort of at a breaking point in football right now where
117:51offenses cannot continue to be as anemic as they have been.
117:55And I don't think defenses can afford to be as aggressive as they have been.
118:00In terms of their. Post snap. Coverage changing. Because I do think one of the really interesting things is that some of
118:08the really high end quarterbacks, some of the really smart quarterbacks.
118:12You know, your Allen's, your Herbert's, your Burroughs, your Mahomes is your Daniels is your Lamars.
118:18I think these guys ultimately one of the things that has sort of been lost in football the most recent couple of
118:25years has just been trusting your arm, trusting yourself to make the throws.
118:30I mean, it's one of the things that has been so bad about Kansas City's offense is to some degree.
118:37Mahomes has kind of stopped trusting his arm and certainly stopped trusting his wide receivers down the field.
118:44The only guy he really liked to throw down the field to last year was Taekwon and Taekwon wasn't even playing all that much.
118:52Like I do think more quarterbacks, you know, there's this saying in football that the right number of interceptions is not zero.
119:00And it does feel like we've kind of gotten away from that.
119:04But I couldn't agree more. The right number of interceptions is definitely not zero.
119:09And we are not seeing much of that happen.
119:12Come on, Nordy. Do not take Bowers, bro. Don't take him.
119:16Take anyone else other than Bowers. Take Jeremiah Love.
119:20Take George Pickens. Take Tramie McBride. This guy's auto-drafting.
119:23He's going to auto-draft him. Just the... Oh, bang!
119:26All right, let's go! Let's go! Bijon, Bowers, and then give me Pickens.
119:31Give me the cover boy Pickens. Yeah, Aaron Rodgers definitely, definitely disagrees.
119:35Aaron Rodgers has always thought the right number of turnovers is zero, which is just not right.
119:41You know, you do... You've got to be more aggressive, particularly in this version of the NFL, where explosive plays are down, you know, long...
119:50And it's why NFL teams have placed such a premium on Yak that I kind of disagree with.
119:56Yak is obviously good, but the easiest way to get the ball from point A to point B is throwing it.
120:04That is the easiest way. It is much harder to run the ball whether you do it via Yak or whether you
120:12hand the ball off from point A to point B.
120:15It's easiest to throw it. It's exactly this hard.
120:18It's actually... This is actually so appropriate that there is this old line in poker that if you are never caught bluffing, then you are not bluffing enough.
120:28That is exactly what we have seen with offenses, where offenses have more or less stopped bluffing.
120:34And the stop bluffing is these teams are not throwing it deep anymore.
120:39The average depth of target across the NFL... I mean, let's go...
120:43I can actually pull this up on Pro Football Reference.
120:47So I can go to... It always takes me...
120:50Okay, advanced passing. So let's go look at some of the average intended area yards from 2025.
120:56Average intended area yards per attempt. You've got May leading the league at 9.1.
121:01Mahomes down at 7.9. Dak at 8. So everyone's kind of hovering around like 7 or whatever.
121:07So let's go do this for... For example, let's go to 2021.
121:11Let's go look at what it was in 2021.
121:14In 2021, you've got Russell Wilson, Fields, and Lamar who are all higher than that.
121:20League average was 7.7. You had Mahomes... Actually, where is Mahomes?
121:24Oh, Mahomes is lower. I would not have predicted that.
121:27I guess... I guess he is such a... He is such a...
121:32They throw so many screens. They do all that stuff to Kelsey.
121:36I mean, how about this? Teddy Bridgewater... I had completely memory wiped.
121:40Did you guys remember Teddy Bridgewater started 14 games for the Denver Broncos?
121:45I did not remember that at all. That is...
121:48That is... That is basically new information to me.
121:51My goodness, I did not remember that. That was the...
121:55That was the Kendall Hilton... Kendall Hinton... I had to start a game for them at quarterback.
122:01I mean... It's just... It's just so different. Average...
122:04Intended air yards over 5,000 for five different players.
122:07And if we go to 2025, there's no chance.
122:10Is anyone over 5,000? Probably just May. Intended air yards...
122:14Just... Yeah, just Stafford. I mean, it's like the...
122:17It's like the sport is so different. You know?
122:20And in a way that has made fantasy football way worse.
122:24I mean, I would take... I'd take Scadaboo for the...
122:28Just for the little ADP dipperino right here. I don't mind taking McLaurin.
122:32Yeah, we're gonna take Scad. Alright, so Bijon, Scadaboo, Pickens, and Bowers.
122:37I wonder if the offensive renaissance would have happened last year if there hadn't been so many major injuries.
122:43It could be. Certainly could be. Alright, another guy I don't take very often.
122:48All the math guys are very high on Devontae Adams.
122:52I'm not exactly there with them, but it's sort of interesting.
122:56Teddy Bridgewater 2021 team will be a million dollar question.
122:59It's true. I think the change could be slower if it requires teams to run effectively again to eliminate the default two-high defenses.
123:08Unless NFL defenses have gone too far, Benny, on the side of getting smaller.
123:13Because NFL defenses have consciously gotten smaller. They are prioritizing smaller linebackers.
123:17More teams spent more money on third safeties, fourth defensive backs, fifth defensive backs.
123:22A lot of teams are just using nickel as their base personnel, so it's obviously easier to run there.
123:29Now, we also have a lot of good teams with very strong running games now.
123:34Right? So if you look at the best teams, I mean, funnily enough, I don't actually think Denver's running game is going
123:42to be that good because I don't think Harvey and Dobbins are all that good.
123:47But the Patriots have a great running back tandem.
123:50The Bills have James Cook. You have got the Chiefs who signed Ken Walker.
123:55You've got Hampton back for the Chargers. You have the Ravens with Derrick Henry.
124:00The Bengals don't have a great running game. The Eagles with Barkley.
124:05Like, I do think there is a good chance that we do see I, and maybe it's just hope.
124:11Like, maybe I am just hoping and I, I mean, don't get me wrong.
124:16I am hoping against hope that we get back to what the NFL used to look like.
124:22How much Bowers do you have and if you're drafting Matun, do you always do three tight end with him in these builds?
124:31Well, I can check. Bowers teams, I have taken Bowers 99 times and on those teams I take three tight ends 75%
124:38of the time and I take two tight ends 25% of the time.
124:4359% of the time I take seven receivers. 42%, okay, well, these are all, a lot of these are pre-drafts so let's
124:51remove draft kings, remove pre-draft and remove super flex.
124:54So I've taken Bowers 45 times and just standard under the, oh, back on the clock.
125:00I'm going to take Marv. I never really take Marv.
125:03I'm going to take Marv. And then I, do I take Dak here?
125:08I can't take Dak here, right? Taking Dak here is silly.
125:12I should probably just take Hertz or maybe, maybe Jalen Warren.
125:16Yeah, I'm going to take Jalen Warren actually. Nope.
125:19All right, he goes, I'm going to take, I'm going to take Hertz.
125:24Hertz, tack over Hertz, man, I can't get there.
125:27So 45 drafts, I take three tight ends, 56% of the time, two tight ends, 44% of the time.
125:34I mean, I do just think that like once you get past about pick 115 or so, it does just, it does
125:41kind of just feel like the tight ends, not even feel, it just is the case that the tight end picks project better than the wide receivers.
125:51I mean, that is, that is just the, that is just the way she goes.
125:56So three quarterbacks is going to give us a 17% historical advance rate, a bad spot with the running backs because I
126:04only have two wide receiver says I should take eight.
126:08And then, yeah, I'm just not on a great part of the game tree.
126:13I see your Bowers McBride team and I raise you a Bowers McBride leveling team.
126:18See that I don't think is great. I mean, maybe you do, maybe if you're drafting a thousand teams, you, you literally do, you literally do one.
126:28I don't know how many, how many teams would you have to draft for that to be optimal to put in your portfolio?
126:36Seems like Belgium is having a very tough time against Egypt, by the way.
126:41And should I have taken Hertz there? I guess I can take Goddard later because that should be good.
126:48And then, and then if you have Hertz, you can always take Mendoza.
126:52And I, I think I like Mendoza more for fantasy than sort of your, your average fantasy football analyst.
126:59The only thing that would put a Bowers McBride leveling team over the top is Charlie Kilar.
127:05You know, what's funny is I kind of liked Charlie Kilar as a prospect at Iowa State.
127:11I, I really, I really didn't think he was, um, I really didn't think he was that bad.
127:18I, I mean, I believe he, I believe he led Iowa State in receiving his player value dropping with every round of
127:25the draft, kind of an illusion of Henderson going in third, still be a bad pick.
127:31Uh, yes, it's certainly an illusion. What is the difference between Roma Dunze and Jordan Addison?
127:37What is the difference between Jordan Tyson and Jaden Reed?
127:40I mean, they're players in a snake draft. Players just have to go in an order, you know, that, that is the,
127:48that is the nature of the beast. They all, they all got to go in an order.
127:54And then there is a weight tied to that over we, we literally weigh ourselves down, um, by ADP.
128:01All right. Well, you can't stop me. I'm going to take Xavier worthy.
128:06And then my next pick is probably going to be Jonathan Brooks, Jonathan Brooks at 98.
128:11I mean, we're getting, we're getting pretty, is Rashad wide available?
128:15All right. Wherever Jacob is, shout out to him.
128:18Let him know that I just took Rashad wide at pick 98.
128:23Who is this year? CLV King going to be?
128:26I don't know. Let me go, let me go check.
128:29Let me go check my portfolio. Let me, let me select all, let me clear all the filters, all the slates.
128:37Uh, can I sort by Delta? Looks like, looks like it's Jonathan Brooks right now.
128:42Looks like it's Jonathan Brooks right now. Jonathan Brooks looks like the big Rashad white, big CLV guy, Florinoy, uh, Dulcich, Keaton
128:50Missal, uh, Antonio, Antonio Williams, Aaron Rogers, all, all some potential options for CLV King this year.
128:56It's true. Hertz does allow you access to the Eagles 49ers week 17 game, which promises to be a banger.
129:03Yes. I obviously I understand that there's difference in the guy's portfolio and there's difference in, um, the likelihood of them hitting
129:11their ceilings, but the range of outcomes for a lot of these guys is just so much more similar than we ever want to take credit for.
129:21Like we want to be like, all right, Michael Pittman Jr.
129:25is just going at pick 104 and that's where he's going to stay and nothing is really going to change much.
129:32You know, Quentin Johnston goes in pick 80 because that's just where he goes.
129:37Yes. If I, you does sign in trade. So if he does sign, if he, if he comes back to the 49ers
129:45gets traded to the commanders, I mean, Brandon, I could rise a hundred spots in, in ADP probably digs digs is going to be a big riser.
129:54I mean, in terms of percentage, AJ Brown has, uh, has gone quite a bit, which is nice.
130:01I mean, nice on, depending on your perspective, I'm not drafting him right now.
130:06Chris Rodriguez. Yeah. Chris Rodriguez was very, very cheap.
130:09I mean, who, who thought he was getting two years, $12 million from the Jaguars.
130:14That was, that was one of the most out of left field deals I can ever remember.
130:20Concepcion is not bad here. Who am I thinking?
130:24I guess I missed on Stafford. Do I want to take Shuck and try and do the back door?
130:30I could do that. I could take Jordan Mason.
130:34Uh, that is what I'm going to do. I'm going to do Shuck and I'm going to set this up to be a Valey Juwan Johnson team.
130:43I think is going to be the plan. Sean Tucker big.
130:47Jonathan Brooks has been big. Yeah. I mean, Jonathan Brooks is, is the current CLV champ.
130:53I think. Um, you know what? Hertz and Shuck B.
130:56John Scadaboo Rashad away, Jordan Mason, George Pickens, Devante Adams, Marvin Harrison Jr.
131:01Xavier Worthy and Brock Bowers kind of disrespectful to only have him listed as Marvin Harrison and not have him listed as Marvin Harrison Jr.
131:10Honestly, you know what? You're right. Live a little.
131:13I be a game changer for the Saints offense.
131:16Let's check the ESPN. Catherine Terrell was talking to Kellen Moore.
131:20There's optimism surrounding the receivers after the Saints selected Tyson, Bryce Lance and Barron Brown.
131:26Tyson is limited. Alave has been limited and that's all I got from ESPN.
131:31Do we have any good? Oh, Bryce Lance. Yeah, nothing.
131:34Yahoo Sports. I mean, this is just going to be AI slop.
131:38I agree. I agree. Diggs is a must draft right now.
131:42Can Mike Washington get an honorable mention from the pre-draft streets?
131:46Went from undrafted to taken top 100 to undrafted again.
131:50Yeah, I was the one drafting him in the top 100 basically.
131:54When they say Mahomes is ready for week one, he will rise, right?
131:59Yeah, he probably will. I mean, I think everyone just knows that's going to happen right now.
132:05Wow. All right. I got AI slopped. This is, I mean, this is really some AI slop.
132:11Oh, it's a, it's a video. How soon can Bryce Lance be?
132:15I thought it was literally just could be the future wide receiver, but it's, I mean, this is AI slop right there.
132:23Dude, you can't go anywhere. You cannot go anywhere on the internet without getting accosted by this just awful, awful AI slop.
132:31And don't get me wrong. I do use large language models to help with my career.
132:36I mean, you know, it's just me Davis, Davis Matic Davis Matic industries is a one man operation, but man, the slop is out of control.
132:46Who is winning the U S open? Cameron Young is winning the U S open Cameron Young by, if I could only
132:53make one bet today, it would be on, on cam young, Malik Willis at 127.
132:59All right, what are we going to do here?
133:02We've got a two, four, four, one Goddard, I think is a pretty obvious pick.
133:07I mean, I guess we could wait for Stowers if there was someone I really wanted to take.
133:14It's true. He did. He did cut his hair.
133:17I did. I don't, I don't like that. I just cut my hair.
133:22And, uh, although I didn't feel like I lost my powers, I feel like it actually helped me quite a bit.
133:29I, uh, I getting a haircut when you have big, crazy long hair does actually feel quite nice.
133:35All right. I mean, this is, this is maybe just going to be the class.
133:41Okay. Well, Goddard went, so I guess we're, I guess we're setting up Stowers.
133:46Oh, I'm actually, nevermind. No, I'm not. I'm taking, I'm taking Juwan Johnson here.
133:51So I'm going to take Hunter first. And then there's no way Juwan Johnson gets back to me at 167.
133:58Is there? Uh, it would be close, but I'm just going to take him anyway.
134:03Ooh, Alex. That's spicy, Ryan. Fleetwood. I don't, I don't mind.
134:07I don't mind Fleetwood. Uh, I, I, I'm a big fan of him.
134:12You know, Fleetwood is one of those guys who when I watch him on YouTube, he becomes even more likable to me.
134:20All right, there we go. So we've got hurts shock B.
134:24John scat or shot white, Jordan Mason, George Pickens, Adams, Marv, worthy hunter.
134:28I wonder what my combo worthy hunter exposure is.
134:31It's got to be really high. So worthy, I've got what?
134:35Like 22% of, yeah, 22% worthy and hunter together 28 times on 625 teams.
134:40All right, well, hey, hope, hope that's the combo you need to have this year.
134:46I have cut and donated my hair before, Benny.
134:49Speaking of blowouts, the Hurricanes were partying at the Poly D concert last night.
134:54Man, tough, tough scene for the National Hockey League because there was so much going on in the world of sports last night.
135:02I don't think that anybody knew that the Hurricanes just won the Stanley Cup.
135:07I protested the NBA finals and the NHL Stanley Cup finals because my teams were eliminated in the respective Western Conference finals
135:15of both the NHL and the NBA, so I was out.
135:19Not for me, not watching. Yes, Godderup would be nice for me.
135:23I've got some nice pending Godderup tickets, so I'd be very fine with Godderup winning.
135:28I'd be very fine with Brooks Koepka winning. I would be fine with my guy Jordan winning.
135:34A kid I've played with a few times, missed U.S.
135:38Open qualifying by one stroke. Oof. Ooh. That's tough.
135:41Win to game two. Yes, hey, going to a finals game, World Series, NBA Finals, all the best.
135:48Of those, I have only been to a World Series game, World Series game seven game seven, actually.
135:54And man, was it like nothing else I've ever experienced inside of a sports stadium.
135:59Been to a couple Thunder games. They're very intense.
136:02I went to Thunder Warriors the year the Warriors went 72-0.
136:06That was one of the wildest regular season games I've ever been to.
136:11Chiefs, Mahomes games, also very intense. Going to sports games is the best.
136:16But as you age, let me tell you, you get to be in your 30s and you're like, oh man, I'm in my 30s.
136:24Do I really want to leave the house for this?
136:28A lot of times the answer is no. You know what?
136:32Bigsby with Hertz could actually be fine here. Let's do that.
136:36Saquon gets hurt. The team airs it out a little bit more.
136:40More of the fantasy points shift in that direction.
136:43Yeah, sorry, 72 and 10. Thank you. Brewers Word Series and Canes is all I can think to justify.
136:50Yeah, it is. It is so fun. I've also been to a major championship.
136:55I've been to the PGA. I went to the PGA.
136:58I'm taking Debo here. I went to the PGA when it was at Belle Reve Country Club when Brooks was chasing down Tiger.
137:07Which World Series game seven? Well, sadly, JB, it was a completely brutal one.
137:11I went to the game seven that Madison Bumgarner pitched the final six innings.
137:16My Kansas City Royals lost in game seven to the San Francisco Giants.
137:21Just Madison Bumgarner reached in the chest of the greater Kansas City area and just yanked.
137:27Oh, I mean, just thinking back to the triple, you know, that Gordon hit off the wall.
137:33Should he have tried to go home? I don't know.
137:36I mean, probably not. Hadn't thought about that one in a while.
137:41Those wounds are fresh. Well, they're not fresh, but they're still deep.
137:45What do I think? This is actually a great question from Peter.
137:49Where do I think that Alec Pierce should go?
137:52Like, if you got your mind wiped, men in black mind wiped, and you get to come back and think about where
138:00you should go, Alec Pierce should probably go in the 100s with Pearsall, Pittman, Myers, Worthy, Concepcion, Downs, and I think Downs should probably go ahead of him.
138:10Ooh, I'm probably a golf coach because my uncle took me to the 08 US Open at Torrey.
138:17I mean, what an event to go to. Torrey Pines, incredible golf course, incredible scenes.
138:22Ooh, getting to watch Mizrowski pitch. That is fun.
138:25I've been to, I've only been a one game this year, took my son to Royals Cardinals, and the very first home
138:33run, it's actually very cool to me, my very first son, my very first son, the very first home run that my
138:41son was ever witness to was Salvador Perez hitting a home run in the second inning, which is very cool because Salvador
138:49Perez was on those 2014-2015 World Series Royals. teams.
138:52So, I mean, obviously, he's so little he won't remember, but I will remember.
138:57So, when he's like 10, 11, 12, I'll be able to tell him that, and that is, that will be a very
139:05cool memory for me to impart to my son.
139:08All right, two more picks, probably passing on Stowers, can do, is Adonai Mitchell still there?
139:14Adonai Mitchell is still there, so I think I know what I'm about to do at this turn.
139:20This guy behind me, shouldn't want a quarterback by ADP.
139:24Yeah, I'm going to take Geno and then just really hope that he is not an Adonai Mitchell truther, this guy behind me.
139:32Is there anything worse than drafting with an Adonai Mitchell truther?
139:36I mean, I thought I was the only one in the world.
139:40I've recently learned that there are other sick freaks out there who call him ADD Mitchell and are just waiting for the breakout.
139:48I mean, he has already broken up. That's the thing.
139:52Adonai Mitchell has already had multiple breakout games in the NFL.
139:56We just got, dude, watch out, world. If AD Mitchell gets his head screwed on straight, it's over.
140:02Jets win the AFC East. their 11 personnel is frankly terrifying.
140:06Like, if Gino Smith is any good, the team is going to be crazy.
140:11All right, there we go. We do get Adonai Mitchell.
140:14I mean, how many, let's look at the Mike Clay projections for this team.
140:19How many teams have a definitely better 11 personnel than the Jets?
140:24It can't be that many, right? So you've got Brees, very strong running back, Garrett Wilson, A.D.
140:30Mitchell, Sadiq. That's a lot of targets for Garrett Wilson.
140:33Wow, he has him as the wide receiver 9.
140:36154 targets. 69 for Adonai Mitchell. 90 for Kenyon Sadiq.
140:4090 targets for Kenyon Sadiq. All right. I'll be a truther of almost any round 718 pick.
140:46Jake, you're so full of shit because you, you, you love to get on my case about anyone I like.
140:53I mean, you just every time I make a pick, you just love to be like, yeah, dude, imagine taking that guy.
141:01That guy sucks, dude. That guy stinks. I didn't even look at the quarterback projection.
141:06531 pass attempts, 3,800 yards, 20 touchdowns. I mean, that would be, that would be a good season for Geno for sure.
141:1480 broke out for about 15 steps until he fumbled that ball.
141:18That would be a great sliding glass doors moment.
141:22I would love, I would love to go back in time and see what would happen in the world.
141:28If, if 80 Mitchell didn't fumble that ball, what, what path does the Colt season take?
141:34You know, what path does, does Daniel Jones ever get injured?
141:38Do you think taking at least five combined quarterback and tight ends is optimal in every draft?
141:44It's probably, it's probably not as optimal as, as I do it, but it does feel, it does feel very safe, Will.
141:52It's very, it's very cozy. Sadiq for sure has a super, super wide range of outcomes.
141:58I mean, Sadiq could be behind Mason Taylor. He could be second on the team in targets.
142:04I mean, I don't even think the Jets know really at, at this stage.
142:09dude. So true. Alec Pierce doesn't get that contract.
142:12Pierce made a hundred million off that fumble. That's actually so real.
142:16Okay. Final. Click in this draft. We feel good at running back.
142:20Who do I want to take as my last wide receiver here?
142:25Let's do, you know what? Vele. Vele. All right.
142:28Jalen hurts. Tyler Shuck. Geno Smith. Bijan Robinson. Cam Scadaboo.
142:31Rashad White. Jordan Mason. Tank Bigsby. George Pickens. Devante Adams.
142:35Marvin Harrison. Xavier Worthy. Travis Hunter. Debo Samuel. Adonai Mitchell.
142:39Devon Vele. Brock Bowers. And Juwan Johnson. Love to see it.
