A.J. Brown

NegativeInjury54:42

A.J. Brown's high ankle sprain is a major concern due to the lack of a clear return timeline. The source advises fantasy managers to 'run and hide' from players with this injury, as it often leads to recurring issues and uncertainty regarding availability.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeBust45:03

Bo Nix is struggling significantly, leading the league in frustrated moments from teammates and coaches. He has fallen to QB15 in consensus dynasty rankings and is expected to drop out of the top 20. The source notes his performance looks identical to last year's struggles, and he is not the high-end prospect some once believed.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveUsage19:30

Braelon Allen is identified as a superior dynasty asset to TreVeyon Henderson due to his immediate production and high opportunity share (87.5% in Week 5). The source argues that if draft capital were reversed, Allen would be universally ranked ahead of Henderson.

Insight page
NegativeValue35:00

Braylon Allen is a superior dynasty asset who combines the best traits of Trevion Henderson and Basial Tootin while possessing a larger frame; he should be ranked ahead of both in dynasty formats. The source argues that his high-level performance for the Jets is not a reason to fade him, as playing well is never a negative for dynasty value.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeUsage1:47

Brian Thomas Jr. has been significantly marginalized in the Jacksonville offense, with the source noting he is often invisible on the field compared to Parker Washington. His fantasy value is further hampered by poor execution, specifically citing a dropped touchdown pass in the end zone.

Insight page

Bryce Young

NegativeValue65:11

The public's preference for Bryce Young over Drake Maye in dynasty rankings is inexplicable and demonstrates that crowdsourced data cannot be trusted.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveUsage17:26

Bucky Irving is experiencing a true meritocratic rise in his backfield, consistently setting personal highs in snap share and opportunity share (66% snaps, 83.3% opportunity share in Week 5). He has rendered Chris Rodriguez irrelevant.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveProjection60:18

Caleb Williams is expected to thrive for the rest of the season upon his return in Week 6, largely due to the strength of the Bears' offensive line.

Insight page
PositiveProjection63:57

The source maintains a positive outlook on Caleb Williams, citing his 101 draft status, a standout week one performance, and a raw skill set comparable to Patrick Mahomes.

Insight page

Cam Ward

PositiveValue58:44

Cam Ward is a strong buy-low candidate in dynasty superflex leagues. Despite current struggles under poor coaching and offensive line play, his pedigree as a 1.01-type talent suggests he will eventually receive the necessary support to succeed, similar to the career arcs of other high-pedigree quarterbacks.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveValue9:57

Carnell Tate is identified as a prime dynasty buy-low target during the month of October. The source suggests capitalizing on current owner frustration or the perception that his recent lack of production is a long-term reality.

Insight page
PositiveValue51:56

Carnell Tate is a high-priority dynasty target; the optimal time to acquire him is always immediately.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveValue64:22

The source identifies Colston Loveland as a buy-low candidate, suggesting his recent lack of production is tied to the absence of Caleb Williams.

Insight page

Darius Cooper

PositiveBreakout49:28

Darius Cooper is demonstrating superior dynamism and playmaking ability compared to Dontavian Wicks. Despite a modest target share, his 70-yard touchdown highlights his upside, and he is expected to earn an increasing share of snaps moving forward.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection55:05

Drake Maye is performing well, showing high-end fantasy production (27 and 46 points in recent weeks) and avoiding sacks. Despite the Patriots' offensive line issues and the loss of left tackle Will Campbell, Maye is a player to ride out for the rest of the season. He is significantly undervalued in dynasty rankings.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

PositiveProjection13:07

Jameis Winston demonstrated his high-ceiling 'gunslinger' capability in a recent matchup, posting 31 fantasy points through high-volume passing, serving as a direct contrast to mobile quarterbacks.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveProjection12:30

Jayden Daniels is highly valued by the source, who notes that public platforms like Keep Trade Cut are underreacting to his potential compared to the source's own dynasty rankings.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeBust55:17

Jeremiah Love is trending toward a lost season due to a high ankle sprain. With only one usable fantasy performance in five weeks, he has been a major disappointment for a top-30 draft pick. The source warns against investing in players with high ankle sprains, citing the lack of a clear recovery timeline.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveValue64:08

The source labels Luther Burden as a buy-low candidate, noting that he has languished while Caleb Williams was out but remains a high-upside target.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveProjection9:06

Malik Nabers is performing at an elite level despite a poor team situation. His current production and trajectory suggest he has a realistic range of outcomes to finish as the WR1 in dynasty formats, potentially surpassing Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout53:47

Malik Nabors has reached the Jamar Chase tier in dynasty rankings following a 20-target, 121-yard, one-touchdown performance in week five. The source notes that this breakout was expected on the current timeline for his recovery and development.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

PositiveValue62:40

Marshawn Lloyd is a dynasty buy-low who is passing the eye test despite a poor offensive line in Green Bay. He possesses a bell-cow profile and skill set, particularly as a receiver, where he has shown explosive playmaking ability. He saw the majority of important snaps in week five over Caleb Johnson.

Insight page
PositiveValue63:30

The source identifies Marshawn Lloyd as a buy-low candidate; despite not producing big numbers in week five, he received all the important snaps and touches, indicating a positive role shift.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeBust46:56

Marvin Harrison Jr. is a player to avoid, with the source suggesting he will be out of the league in a few years. Houston only considered him due to his college connection with CJ Stroud, and he is redundant on a roster that already features Nico Collins and Kayshawn Booty.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveValue50:02

Michael Wilson is a raging buy-low candidate in dynasty. He has proven his talent by averaging 26 fantasy points per game in contests without Marvin Harrison Jr. As soon as Arizona faces a team that can cover tight ends, Wilson is expected to go nuclear.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBreakout0:24

Parker Washington has been elevated to the undisputed alpha receiver in Jacksonville, with the source comparing his trajectory to Jerry Rice. Despite a run-first offensive scheme limiting his weekly ceiling, he is a high-upside asset who has effectively marginalized Brian Thomas Jr. in the team's passing attack.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

PositiveValue64:47

The source argues Rome Odunze is a strong buy-low because his expected fantasy points (over 18 in week five) significantly dwarf his actual output (five points). The source attributes his struggles to poor quarterback play and believes he is a perfect skill match for Caleb Williams' deep-ball ability.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

NegativeBust48:48

Romeo Dobbs is considered a poor performer who continues to receive high route share (95% in week five) despite minimal production (one catch for 16 yards). The source expresses frustration that his continued usage delays the necessary transition to more talented receivers on the roster.

Insight page

Roschon Johnson

PositiveUsage63:34

The source highlights Roshon Johnson as a rising asset, noting his competence, size, and receiving skills. He recorded seven targets in his recent outing and is recommended as a trade target or waiver add.

Insight page

Tre Harris

PositiveValue11:11

Trey Harris is considered a productive, undervalued dynasty asset. Despite a hamstring injury, the source maintains a positive outlook on his potential.

Insight page

TreVeyon Henderson

NegativeBust14:13

TreVeyon Henderson is labeled a dynasty sell-low candidate. His lack of availability, inconsistent usage, and failure to secure the New England backfield have led to a decline in his dynasty value, with players like De'Von Achane and Bucky Irving expected to surpass him.

Insight page
NegativeValue42:10

Trevion Henderson is in significant trouble in dynasty leagues as he faces competition from both Basial Tootin and Braylon Allen, who are encroaching on his value.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveProjection46:56

Trey McBride is a must-start tight end who has already posted two 100-catch seasons. He is a strong play against the Detroit Lions, who have allowed more fantasy points to tight ends than any other team in history.

Insight page

Tyler Shough

NegativeBust67:03

Tyler Shough failed to produce in Week 5, scoring zero fantasy points despite being projected as a top-10 quarterback option based on his high passing volume.

Insight page

Will Shipley

NegativeValue11:08

Will Shipley is a recommended dynasty hold due to his youth and 'satellite back plus' profile, similar to a discount version of Aaron Jones. Despite injury setbacks, he remains a stash candidate rather than a drop.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveSleeper42:36

Woody Marks is a high-priority waiver wire add who possesses an all-purpose skill set similar to Will Shipley. Following David Montgomery's groin injury, Marks played every meaningful snap. Despite playing behind one of the league's worst offensive lines, Marks has demonstrated 26% higher yards created per attempt than his peers, indicating significant juice.

0:00Top 10 Takeaways Oh, off we go. I'm still recovering.
0:03Wow. The Parker Washington party was epic yesterday. It was something else.
0:07You know what? The party doesn't have to stop.
0:10Why? Because it's the Parker Washington dance party! We'll find out together.
0:14Was that as good for you as it was for me, Justin?
0:18Oh man, that's a great way to start off Monday.
0:21Let's go, baby. Let's go. Alright, Top 10 Takeaways.
0:24Takeaway number one, Parker Washington is officially on PlayerProfiler.com compared to Jerry Rice.
0:28He is officially, as of today, comparable to Jerry Rice and we're only going to see this more and more and more
0:35and more as the season goes along. We're just going to get more and more and more Parker Washington.
0:42He is super durable. He's built like a running back.
0:45He plays like a receiver. He's never injured, except in college and in the pre-draft process, but he takes such immaculate care of his body.
0:53He has some of the lowest injury risk of any skill position player.
0:57Check out the Injury Finder app. You can see it.
1:01And he is absolutely in one of the most extreme marginalizations I've ever seen of a fellow wide receiver.
1:07It's almost like Brian Thomas doesn't exist. I'm watching the game.
1:10I don't even see Brian Thomas on the field.
1:13It's Josh Cameron. I'm like, it's Josh Cameron again and Josh Cameron again and Josh Cameron again.
1:19Parker Washington erased Brian Thomas Jr. coming off this big first round pick breakout season as a rookie.
1:25You thought this is the clear alpha in the Jacksonville passing game.
1:29And then a funny thing happened. Everyone in Jacksonville was like, nah, that's not actually true.
1:34No, no, your box scores lying to you. Our number one receiver is actually Parker Washington.
1:39This is what Jacksonville coaches told Cody Carpentier when he visited.
1:43And then we shared this on the show and we talked about it again.
1:47We had a big three hour Sonic Truth podcast that dropped this weekend.
1:51So check it out wherever you get podcasts. Sonic Truth podcast is everywhere.
1:56You need to get it. It's the best show I've done.
1:59The best podcast that I've put on wax in years in literal years.
2:03So go check that out. I think you'll enjoy it.
2:07We certainly talked a lot about Parker Washington. We already had Parker Washington in the Zay Flowers, George Pickens tier even before now.
2:14And he's rocketing past that tier. And as Cody mentioned on the show, it won't be long until we're talking about him in the CD lamb.
2:23I'm on Ross St. Brown tier. I mean, what is the difference at this point?
2:27Really? What is the difference between I'm on Ross St.
2:31Brown and Parker Washington? Well, the difference is a couple of years that Parker Washington is a couple of years younger and but they're comparable players.
2:39The only difference really, and it's why week to week Parker Washington can't quite score as many fantasy points as I'm on Ross St.
2:47Brown. It's that Jacksonville's defense is too good. Jacksonville is a great offensive line and a great defense.
2:53And if you have that and you're playing in the NFC South or the AFC South, who cares?
2:59Right? Like if you're Atlanta or you're Jacksonville, you don't need to throw the football.
3:04Like you just run the ball. So there's going to be games where Parker Washington does not deliver for fantasy this year.
3:11Because of his situation because it's not a pass first situation that he's found himself in.
3:16It was years ago. But now that he has been fully elevated to the undisputed alpha, he got here just in time
3:23for to become a run first offense. Not his fault.
3:26Not his fault. It is Brian Thomas's fault, though.
3:29I just want to make this is not bad luck for Brian Thomas.
3:33Okay, I was watching the game. I have Brian Thomas in monster leagues with my daughter.
3:39We play and she has this incredible team. She somehow captured Malik neighbors when he was trending down and she captured George
3:46Pickens when he had a low production week. And now she has Javante Williams.
3:50Somehow she's this girl's killing me. It's actually not.
3:53It's I shouldn't say she's killing me. It's very close.
3:57It's shockingly close. The matchup that I had that season long standings on monster leagues between my daughter and I, but her team is just better.
4:05Like I have a bit stronger running game. Her receivers are just dominant.
4:09Absolutely dominant. And and good for her. A key decision that she made early on was she chose to be aggressive and
4:16tried to capture Malik neighbors and did it with Wandale Robinson.
4:20She captured Malik neighbors in a week where Wandale outscored neighbors.
4:24She found that week. She exploited it. I don't know how the hell she did it.
4:29We're going to talk about Cam Ward later in the show.
4:32Don't worry. As soon as I talk about say the name Wandale Robinson, I know you're immediately thinking, oh, Cam Ward going to talk Cam Ward.
4:41Yeah, we're going to talk Cam Ward. Don't worry.
4:44We'll talk Cam Ward. But I played it conservative.
4:47I said, this is going to be a game where Jacksonville is going to run the ball.
4:52I can probably capture Brian Thomas and get some spike weeks out of him, even though we won't probably get one this week.
5:00I'll take advantage, capture him, and then I'll get the spike weeks later on.
5:04That was my logic. Pretty sound logic, right? If there's a shootout when they play an elite offense, I'm going to plug in Brian Thomas.
5:12And that requires you, though, to have that even decision be available to you, a bench.
5:18And I haven't captured enough assets yet in that league to have anyone on my bench.
5:23So I'm starting Brian Thomas and I'm watching this game and he's open in the end zone.
5:28The ball comes right to him. He chooses to try to one hand catch it.
5:33He chose to hit him in the bicep. He could just go like this.
5:38But he said, no, I'm going to one hand catch this.
5:41It was actually his right hand. It was in the left corner of the end zone.
5:47He turned around. The ball was right there. He tried to cradle it in his arm, one-handed, put it on the ground.
5:54He was 0 for 3, zero fantasy points. Had he made that catch, I would have captured Carnell Tate.
6:00I picked the perfect week to try to capture Carnell Tate.
6:03And we talked about this on The Sonic Truth.
6:06This is the perfect period of time this month, the month of October.
6:11This is your window to capture Carnell Tate in Dynasty.
6:14If you weren't trying to trade for Carnell Tate before this week, you better try to trade for him now.
6:20You better hope there's someone out there that's just getting frustrated or thinks that this is the new reality, the long-term reality in Tennessee.
6:28Pounce on that. I did it. I did the thing.
6:31I picked the exact right week to try to pounce and capture Carnell Tate.
6:36The only thing standing in my way was Brian Thomas' incompetence, Brian Thomas' laziness, just sticking one hand out there.
6:43I guess I'll try to one-hand catch. It's in the red zone.
6:46It's a touchdown. This is an important play in the game.
6:50Focus! God damn it! Anyway, this is how mad I get when I find myself behind a family member in fantasy football.
6:57If this was a buddy, if this was an expert league, you've seen me talk about my performances in these leagues, good
7:04and bad, and I don't get this animated. But when you're going against your son or daughter as a dad, you're obliged
7:12to destroy them, to teach them grit, to teach them how to lose gracefully and how to overcome adversity.
7:18That's why we're dads. That's why we're here, man.
7:21And I'm supposed to be a fantasy expert. I picked the exact right week to capture Carnell Tate.
7:26All Brian Thomas needed was more than 1.6 fantasy points, and he dumped it on the ground.
7:32A touchdown dumped on the ground. What am I going to do?
7:36What am I going to do? Well, what I needed to do was get in a time machine, go back in time,
7:43and have more bravery, and try to capture bigger, more high-value pieces earlier in the season like my daughter did.
7:50Now she's got this lead on me, and I don't know if I can catch her.
7:55I did capture Ashton Gentry, though. Ashton Gentry's a buy-low.
7:58So maybe with Gentry and Jalen Warren, I have better running backs.
8:02I'll keep you up to date. But as of now, you know what?
8:06We'll put this on Patreon, patreon.com slash podfather. I'm going to put the standings up, and you can see the total points
8:13of my daughter and I every week, and we'll see where we stand.
8:18Again, podfather on Patreon, patreon.com slash podfather. You can check it out.
8:21You can see where we are. It's only on Patreon because Patreon is the only place where I trust everybody because these
8:29are the true fans of the show. If you're a true fan of the show, then you're supporting us on Patreon, patreon.com slash podfather.
8:36I can't put it out there on a public social media feed without context.
8:41People that don't get the show, they're going to see this and be like, wait a second, you're losing to a 15-year-old?
8:48You're supposed to be a fantasy expert? And I'm like, well, wait, wait, hold on.
8:53Hold on. There's context here. Let's explain. There's background.
8:56There was a Brian Thomas drop touchdown, and it's close.
8:59It's very close. It's very close. I'd captured Lamar Jackson.
9:02I'm doing great, except she's doing better because she has Malik Neighbors.
9:06It's very difficult to compete with Malik Neighbors, especially when you're going to get someone who captured him two weeks ago and
9:14has been banking Malik Neighbors' fantasy points for the last two weeks.
9:17It becomes harder. It becomes harder to compete with that because Malik Neighbors, he's right there.
9:23Will Malik Neighbors somehow surpass Jackson Smith and Jigba by the end of the season?
9:28Because Malik Neighbors is younger than Jackson Smith and Jigba, and if Malik Neighbors outproduces Jackson Smith and Jigba with a backup
9:35quarterback, then what would stop him from posting up at the number one wide receiver spot, the wide receiver one in Dynasty?
9:42It is in Malik Neighbors' range of outcomes. That's what we're seeing right now based on the production, based on his trajectory.
9:49He's not in a good situation. This is not a good situation, and he's doing great.
9:54And so, yes, I'm proud of her. It was an inspired choice to capture Malik Neighbors when she did.
10:00I'm very, very proud of her, but parents, only parents can possibly understand what I say when I'm equal parts proud and furious.
10:08Just, I can't. God. I mean, I don't even like Brian Thomas.
10:12In fact, the only reason I have him on this one roster of this one league format is because I thought I
10:19could easily capture him, and it was easy to capture him, and I could at least take advantage of weekly variants.
10:26But no, there's not even that. There's not even the occasional spike week.
10:30There's just dropped touchdowns. I don't even like the guy.
10:33We were the original Dynasty ranking service that had Parker Washington ahead of Brian Thomas.
10:38A joke. Just a total joke. I can't believe, I just can't believe this.
10:43Furious. Oh, but also very happy. I'm very happy for Parker Washington.
10:47It's great. We're all just loving life. Put it back up there one more time.
10:51One more time. From social media, at Fantasy underscore Mansion, the great Spider-Man meme of all time, Parker Washington is Jerry Rice.
10:59Jerry Rice is Parker Washington. And the comp is official on playerprofiler.com.
11:03And if anyone wants to come back at me and say, yeah, but what about Will Shipley?
11:08Yeah, but what about Trey Harris? They were hurt.
11:11Last time I checked, Will Shipley played very little.
11:14Tore his plantar fascia and wasn't seen again. But he did give you a touchdown and it would have given you more had he stayed healthy.
11:22Would have been a great start had he been healthy.
11:26He wasn't healthy. And that is the NFL experience.
11:29Trey Harris popped a hamstring in third quarter just as the fantasy points were starting to ramp up.
11:34So I still believe Trey Harris is a productive, undervalued asset in Dynasty.
11:39And I'm not just dropping Will Shipley because it's not like when Saquon Barkley gets back, he's going to be an every week starter with no injury risk.
11:48And it's not like Tank Bigsby is going to be back anytime soon.
11:52He's on IR. So I'm going to just go ahead and stash Will Shipley.
11:57He's still young. He actually has a sort of Aaron Jones undersized satellite back plus profile.
12:02And he's not like a big, like premium satellite back plus.
12:05The Alvin Kamara archetype, right? That's the best possible satellite back plus.
12:09Then you've got like the smaller version of Alvin Kamara, the Aaron Jones.
12:14And you've got a discount version of Aaron Jones.
12:16Not quite Aaron Jones, but not bad either. And that's Will Shipley.
12:20If he's young, you don't want to just drop him in Dynasty.
12:24Make sure you hold on. So no, I'm not sorry about recommending Will Shipley and Trey Harris.
12:30No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We were also high on Jaden Daniels this week and also high on Jaden Daniels in Dynasty.
12:38Higher than Keep Trade Cut. Higher than the crowdsource data platforms and the public overreacting.
12:43They overreact to the quarterback position and they underreact to the running back position.
12:47That was the theme of the Sonic Truth show, a show which we spent three hours talking about this.
12:54And it was amazing. But takeaway number two. So takeaway number one, just to summarize.
12:58Jerry Rice is Parker Washington. Parker Washington is Jerry Rice.
13:02Takeaway number two. Jaden Daniels versus Jameis Winston was a very, very, very, very fun matchup.
13:07And the quintessential Konami QB versus Gunslinger QB. And you don't have to look anywhere except the box score.
13:13It's not like you need to go to advanced metrics.
13:16No, just look at the box score. One guy had 31 fantasy points.
13:21The other guy had 31 fantasy points. One guy got there with 54 pass attempts.
13:25The other guy got there with 103 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
13:30So there's two different ways, two polar opposite ways.
13:33You can get to 31 fantasy points as a quarterback and you got to see both happening in the same game with
13:40Jameis Winston on one side and Jaden Daniels on the other.
13:43And I'm here for it. And I loved it.
13:46And I wanted to talk about it. I really don't have anything else to say on that.
13:52I just wanted to highlight the most extreme dichotomy of two quarterback performances you're going to see all year.
13:58And yes, I know the extra 10 minutes of overtime drove up the fantasy production.
14:03Right. They took them from like 25 fantasy points to 31 fantasy points.
14:07I get it. Still an amazing dichotomy. I have some sad news to report on the top 10 takeaways.
14:13Trevon Henderson's a bust. It's not going to happen anytime soon.
14:17Right. And it's one thing if a guy like Will Shipley goes down.
14:21Oh, I streamed him and I got a random touchdown before he tore his plantar fascia and it didn't help nor hurt me.
14:29Okay. You're welcome. A guy like Trevion Henderson, similar age, similar skill set.
14:33Wow. Actually, not the biggest difference actually between Trevion Henderson and Will Shipley is there.
14:38One guy was actually a higher usage running back at a top program at the time, Clemson and Will Shipley than even
14:45Trevion Henderson was during his time at Ohio State.
14:48So the comparison actually is not that far off, even if you go back to college.
14:53But in a week where Ramadre Stevenson was hobbled throughout the week, there were questions whether Ramadre would even play.
14:59Six days ago, nobody knew if Trevion was going to have the backfield to himself this week.
15:05No, no. What New England needed was a running back they could trust not to fumble, to milk clock at the end of the game.
15:13And at that moment, Trevion Henderson was not available.
15:16And availability is the number one skill in the NFL.
15:19And when he is available, sometimes Trevion Henderson isn't out there.
15:23He's either not available or not trusted in most of the situations that the New England offense finds itself in.
15:29So then I have to ask the natural question, which is why are we doing this?
15:35Why do we have him? Why are we starting him?
15:38He has a lot of value in Dynasty. There's a lot of brand equity there.
15:43And if you want to sell low on Trevion Henderson right now, I give you the green light.
15:49He is absolutely a sell low. Because you can, just like with Will Shipley, you could say, well, yeah, it was a good call.
15:56I just, you know, he's been injured. And the ankle injury was bad luck.
16:01And missed week one. And now he leaves week five.
16:04Just at the moment he would have produced. And it's a damn shame.
16:08It is a shame. But we have to start asking the question, is it ever going to happen?
16:14And I think it might happen. It's very conceivable that it would happen.
16:19The guy had like over 800 rushing yards as a rookie.
16:22But don't forget, Trent Richardson also had an RB1 season, a top 10 fantasy season as a rookie.
16:28And it was never heard from again. And what happened to him?
16:32There was questions about trust. Questions about work ethic.
16:35Lower body injuries. And at least Trent Richardson was a top five pick.
16:39Trevon Henderson wasn't even a first round pick, right?
16:42And there are a couple of players that are about to overtake Trevon Henderson in Dynasty.
16:47He is falling in Dynasty. He's been falling like a rock.
16:51Here are some players that are about to surpass him.
16:54Number one, without a doubt, Devon Achan. Like they're a similar age.
16:58And I don't think we're going to get that much from Henderson this season anyway.
17:03So you might as well have Achan, who is a proven stud at the position.
17:08They're both undersized. They're both bad at pass blocking.
17:11But at least Achan has proven he can give you consistent production week in, week out with long runs and electricity in the passing game.
17:19It's all theoretical. So still, see, it's just theoretical with Henderson.
17:22So that's the obvious one. Then go deeper. Go deeper.
17:26Basial Tootin. Why not Basial Tootin? Basial Tootin has a similar profile.
17:29Again, another player with a similar profile. It's just that Basial Tootin's even faster.
17:34Just was a fourth round pick. Didn't go to Ohio State.
17:38That's the difference. So Tootin, he's going to be blazing past Henderson and Dynasty.
17:42The more controversial one, though, the more controversial one we'll talk about in a moment.
17:47Okay. We'll talk about a moment. There's another. There's one that's much edgier than Basial Tootin.
17:52Okay. Because Basial Tootin, this is a one plus one equals two crayon take.
17:57Right. This is a take you right on the wall in crayon.
18:01It's so obvious. And my daughter called him chalk.
18:04I was like, what? How did you? What's happening?
18:07But he keeps setting personal records for snap share.
18:10I don't think he knows his exact snap share.
18:12But if he did, it would be interesting for every week.
18:16Hey, hey, Basial. Did you know that every week you set a new personal high for snap share?
18:22And especially this week, opportunity share in week five, 66% of snaps, 83.3% of the running back opportunities went to Basial Tootin.
18:29Chris Rodriguez has been rendered irrelevant. This is what we talk about in theory with running backs in the offseason, but it just rarely ends up manifesting.
18:38We're like, if running back X outperforms running back Y, then he will seize the vast majority of the carries in the
18:45offense and he'll become the bell cow. He'll earn it.
18:48It'll be a meritocracy. He's a more efficient player.
18:51Therefore, the coaches will see this and they will give him all the touches.
18:56We say that in August and it rarely happens.
18:59This exact thesis is playing out exactly as planned this year.
19:02Of course, Basial Tootin's better than Chris Rodriguez. The question was, as a receiver, is he better than LaQuint Allen?
19:09And they had a similar target share this year, this week.
19:12But again, it was Tootin catching the passes and then LaQuint Allen now.
19:17Is Basial Tootin a good pass catcher? No. Does that matter?
19:20Not really. Not really. Not on this team. This is not a team that's in the two-minute drill very often.
19:27It's not a team that's in comeback mode very often.
19:30This is a team that's going to be leading a lot, leaning on a lead a lot, milking clock a lot.
19:37That's the type of team you want, isn't it?
19:40This team is perfectly configured for Basial Tootin's skill set.
19:43If this were the Saints or some team that's constantly in comeback mode, you'd want your running back to have better receiving skills.
19:50Basial Tootin doesn't have that and it doesn't matter.
19:53He's on the team where it matters least or his receiving skills matter the least.
19:58And I'm just here for it. I'm here for it.
20:01I'm here for a backfield meritocracy. Seeing one that is endangered in the wild.
20:06A backfield meritocracy. Like, really? An injury wasn't required?
20:09In order for the coaches to make this move, they've just decided week in, week out just to consistently increase his snap
20:16share and his opportunity share just because he's better?
20:19This is really happening? In the real world? Caught on camera?
20:23Sunday mornings? Sunday afternoons? Amazing. Simply amazing. The other running back that is threatening, for now I'll say threatening, but look out for it.
20:30Running back that is younger and that at this point I would argue better because he's proving it.
20:36Braylon Allen. Braylon Allen. Braylon Allen. Braylon Allen. All Braylon Allen does is produce when called upon.
20:42All Braylon Allen does is hog snaps and opportunities.
20:45Basial Tootin, it required more than a season for him to earn it.
20:49It only required one minute of game time for the Jets to turn the entire offense, the entire backfield over to Braylon Allen.
20:56Week five, 87.5% opportunity share, right? Imagine if it were flipped.
21:00Imagine if Braylon Allen was a premium prospect at Wisconsin, was drafted in the second round, and Henderson were drafted in the fourth round.
21:08Then everyone, everyone would have Allen ahead of Henderson in Dynasty.
21:11Run that thought experiment. And you're like, oh, well, fourth round, I mean, that's really fringy.
21:17Really? Fourth round's fringy? Like, oh, Basial Tootin? Like, this is the fickle fantasy gamer.
21:22Perfectly illustrated. For whatever reason, of course, of course, we love Trevion Henderson.
21:26Fast. Went to Ohio State. Early second round pick.
21:29But then you have early fourth round pick Basial Tootin.
21:32Fantasy gamers falling over themselves for Basial Tootin this year.
21:35And for good reason. I'm here for it. But why not Braylon Allen then, right?
21:40Braylon Allen's like a combination of what's great about a guy like Trevion Henderson and what's great about Basial Tootin.
21:47Except he's bigger, right? It's like, imagine actually what you would do if you wanted to build Braylon Allen in the lab.
21:54You would put Ramadre Stevenson and Trevion Henderson together.
21:57If you put those two players in a particle acceleration chamber and open the door, out walks Braylon Allen.
22:03The best of what you're getting from Stevenson and the best of what you're getting from Henderson.
22:08So why wouldn't he be ahead of both of them in Dynasty?
22:12I asked that question. I'm asking that question to you, the audience.
22:16Email me, podfather at rotorwonderworld.com. Do you have an answer for this?
22:20Or put it in the chat if you're watching live on Facebook or Twitter X.
22:25All these places where you can follow Player Profiler and tune into these shows live.
22:30Participate. Put it in the comments. Why not Braylon Allen in Dynasty?
22:34Why not? Explain this to me. The only explanation I can think of is that he's playing too damn well and the Jets won't let him go.
22:43But the last time I checked in Dynasty where we had these guys for their careers, playing too well isn't a reason to fade him.
22:51I don't think that's ever been the case. Let's bring Justin in.
22:55Justin, can you come in for a minute? Can you come on the show?
22:59Can you join me? Justin. I'm at. Have you ever heard ever, ever, ever, ever of a scenario where a player was
23:06playing so good it was hurting his Dynasty value?
23:09Nope. No. We're just looking for that next contract, buddy.
23:12So that's not a thing, right? No. No. Situations change.
23:16We trust the talent. Thank you, Justin. This is amazing.
23:19I can't explain to the audience, all of you out there, how much I love having Justin.
23:25I mean, having him tuning in every show and just there.
23:28It's nice to have someone there. If you need the answer to a question, if you need someone to either validate or
23:35disprove what you're saying, he's just there. Like I just sometimes just need someone.
23:40Like this is why start, start, sit decisions and entire start, sit shows and articles exist.
23:45It's mostly so that fantasy gamers can just get the reassurance that, okay, I wanted to do this anyway, but I just
23:52want to make sure this was the right move.
23:55And thank you person on social media or on the internet for validating what I already wanted to do anyway.
24:02I just needed that extra reassurance. Thank you very much.
24:05And this is, it's very much, it's, it's very much like having, it's like a, if I were a gymnast doing work
24:12high above, like on a, a balance beam or with padding, it's, it's like having, I think it's like, I'm on a
24:19balance beam or I'm on the uneven bars and it's either a concrete floor behind me, but under me, or there's a net or, or thick padding.
24:28That's what Justin is. That's the best comp I can think of for Justin where it's like, he's just, it lets me
24:35be a little more free, a little less stressed out about executing, knowing he's there.
24:40So tip of the cap to my man, Justin, it's a lot of work, what he's doing, putting in here, producing the
24:47show, setting everything up, letting me be me, letting me do what I want to do and not always be thinking about,
24:54Oh, I need to pull up this screen and show this and show that it's a lot.
25:00It's a lot. And for years, I tried to do a lot of it on my own in real time.
25:06And I'm very proud of being able to do that.
25:10But having someone to be your teammate in these situations, it's a, it's a big, it's a big, big, big, big, big, big deal.
25:17Now takeaway number four, right? Because takeaway, we'll recap.
25:20Don't worry. We'll recap right now. Parker Washington is Jerry Rice.
25:24Takeaway number one. Takeaway number two, Jaden Daniels and Jameis Winston was the ultimate Konami versus gunslinger dichotomy.
25:30Takeaway number three, Trevion Henderson is in big, big, big, big trouble in Dynasty.
25:34Not only Basial Tootin, but also Braylon Allen is coming for him.
25:38Takeaway number four, this is another crayon take. We have some crayon takes out there.
25:43I know we do, but also some insightful takes.
25:46I promise they exist at some point. It's not just going to be dance parties and one plus one equals two.
25:53But for now we're sticking with top 10 takeaways, preschool edition.
25:56Woody Marks deserves a massive waiver wire fab bid.
25:59In case you didn't know it, I'm here to reassure you in case you were wondering or just need, again, just need that extra reassurance.
26:08Marks possesses the baseline all-purpose skill set that we're looking for, similar to Will Shipley, actually, in a good way.
26:14After David Montgomery went down, he's week to week with his groin injury.
26:18Marks played every single meaningful snap. Every single one.
26:21I think there was a QB Neal, he wasn't out there.
26:25Now you check the efficiency. Fortunately for us, you compare these two players, they've had similar yards blocked.
26:31And spoiler alert, it's a very low number because it's one of the worst offensive lines in the sport, especially in the run blocking department.
26:39Marks, though, his yards created per attempt, you can see it up on playerprofile.com, 26% higher.
26:44He's just better. He has more juice, right? So similar runway, more juice, wheels up for Woody Marks.
26:50It's happening. My bidding on Woody Marks in some leagues could get as high as 95% if he's available, right?
26:56He's not available in most of my leagues. In fact, he might not be available in any of my leagues.
27:03But I know he's out there. I know he is out there in leagues.
27:07And I just want to make sure that if he is, even if it's shallow, you want him.
27:13The ceiling is capped, though. We should talk about it because the ceiling is capped on Woody Marks because of the offense and the offensive line.
27:22This is a team that wants to run the ball and can't because they can't block anybody, sadly.
27:28So that was one of our big learnings, one of our big lessons.
27:32We have one more lesson coming up, one big takeaway lesson coming up.
27:36Lesson learned. But one of the biggest, maybe the biggest lesson was you can't lean exclusively on a team's philosophy.
27:43Just because they want to be a running team doesn't mean they can be a running team.
27:48That's why the offensive line rankings like we have on Player Profiler via Dan Fornick are so important.
27:54Oh, great. You want to be a running team?
27:57Well, if you're ranked 30th, how is that going to work?
28:00How is that going to happen? And the answer is it won't happen.
28:05Okay. So you want to run all you want.
28:08The question is, can you run? Are you ever playing with a lead?
28:12And the answer for Houston this year has been no, no and no.
28:16And Trey McBride had another great, great game. No Marvin Harrison Jr.
28:20And Marvin Harrison Jr. Is going to be out of the league in a couple of years.
28:26He's not going to do anything in Houston. We talked about it on the Sonic Truth show.
28:31I would argue Kayshawn Booty is a better player at a similar position.
28:35So why would you even think about buying low at this point on Marvin Harrison Jr.?
28:41It is over. They called around the league. And the only team that was even considering him because of the connection from
28:48college to CJ Stroud at Ohio State is the only reason Houston even sniffed on him.
28:53Like, even gave it a sniff. I'm guessing 30 other teams were not interested because they've seen the tape.
28:59They've seen the metrics. They have Player Profiler. It's over.
29:02But CJ Stroud was like, eh, pretty good, I think.
29:06So they were like, okay. But that's the team that needs Marvin Harrison Jr.
29:10the least. They already have Nico Collins, an alpha that he'll never approach.
29:14They already have Kayshawn Booty, who is basically Marvin Harrison Jr.
29:18If you sped up the timeline. A player that washed out in college instead of washing out early in the pros.
29:25But again, both were five-star prospects that have washed out.
29:28At this point, though, I'll take Booty. They also have Jaden Higgins coming back next year.
29:33Another outside receiver. So it's the last team in the league that needs more receiver help.
29:38They have, I mean, Jalen Knoll played well. Jalen Knoll's really efficient in Week 5.
29:43But the problem with Jalen Knoll is, and the reason he's not an ad, is because Tank Dell is about to be healthy.
29:51And Tank Dell's going to take that role. They're committed to Tank Dell, not Jalen Knoll.
29:56It's just the way it is. But in Arizona, now it's all systems go for Trey McBride, Michael Wilson.
30:02There should be no concerns about either. There's already no concerns about Trey McBride, right?
30:07Because he's already the rare tight end to post two 100-catch seasons.
30:11And I'll put that in the chat. Has that ever been done before?
30:15Has a tight end ever had consecutive back-to-back 100-catch seasons?
30:18Justin, feel free to jump in if you know the answer.
30:22Otherwise, I'll wait for the chat. Put that up on the chat.
30:26They'll tell us. They'll tell us. I know I could look it up, but I'm live.
30:31So that's why we also have a chat. Having chat, having a live audience, plus having artificial intelligence helping you produce shows,
30:38plus having an actual live human producer, put those three things together, you have a great show.
30:44Courtesy of at Lord Rebs on Twitter, my man Rich Rebar, the Detroit Lions are giving up more fantasy points to opposing
30:51tight ends than any other team in the history of the world by a huge margin.
30:56We're talking about through five weeks, 160 fantasy points allowed.
30:59The next team on the list, the 2016 Cleveland Browns, 123 fantasy points allowed.
31:04So yes, of course, Trey McBride was going to have a big week, but also play tight ends against the Lions religiously,
31:11even a Rondé Gadsden, if it happens. And Michael Wilson is a raging buy low.
31:16The Carnell Tate buy window in Dynasty, I'm trying to get him every day of the week, twice on Sundays.
31:23Yeah, the right time to buy Carnell Tate and Dynasty is always yesterday, but we have time, right?
31:28It's not like there's anything happening in Tennessee that's giving us a sense of urgency on Carnell Tate.
31:34However, Marvin Harrison Jr. was just traded, and we are one, one, one Michael Wilson spike week without the corresponding excuse away
31:41from him surging up the Dynasty rankings, including consensus rankings, crowdsource rankings like you have on Keep Trade Cut.
31:48The public won't believe in Michael Wilson until they do, until they do.
31:52And look at the splits. Remember, the reason why Michael Wilson was the fate of the century in fantasy football this offseason, remember this.
32:00Fantasy gamers buy underdog ADP on player profiler. You can see it.
32:04Preferred Marvin Harrison Jr. to Michael Wilson, much to my chagrin.
32:07And the chagrin of pretty much everyone in my orbit also, from Cody to R.C.
32:12Fisher. Everyone agree. It's silly. Move on from Marvin Harrison Jr.
32:16But why draft capital? Oh, and name ID. Name ID and draft capital.
32:20Just the most flimsy reasons. In 2025, when Marvin Harrison Jr.
32:23played 12 games, Michael Wilson posted 7.6 fantasy points per game.
32:27Without Harrison, 26 fantasy points per game. So those were used to just wave away Michael Wilson and all of his talent.
32:34Forget him. He stinks. And then what happened was a meritocracy was installed in Arizona, just like we've seen in Jacksonville.
32:41And Michael Wilson is the wide receiver version now of Basial Tootin.
32:45He earned that job. And he didn't produce in week five because Detroit is a renowned tight end funnel defense.
32:51As soon as they play a team that knows how to cover tight ends, Michael Wilson is going to go nuclear.
32:58So the clock is very much ticking. It's ticking very fast.
33:02Faster than any other player to get Michael Wilson.
33:05Another takeaway is Drake May is what we thought he was.
33:08Nice little transition from the Cardinals and a famous Cardinals coach quote.
33:12Use that to talk about Drake May. That's how you do it.
33:16That's how you podcast, people. Mm, mm, mm, mm.
33:19Oh, the doubters. Oh, the doubters. And we will bring my daughter back into this.
33:24She's a raging Patriots fan. Bigger Patriots fan than me.
33:27Because we all know I cheated on the Patriots at one point with the Eagles.
33:32You can see this vintage clean Eagles hat from the early 90s.
33:36When I cheated on the Patriots, my daughter has been loyal to the Patriots her entire life, unlike her father.
33:42So she's a better fan than I am of the Patriots.
33:46And she rages on Instagram with these people fading, criticizing, dismissing Drake May, calling him a bust, comparing him to Mac Jones.
33:53She gets genuinely upset by this. And this was an incredible feel-good moment for the family.
33:58For the family. That's the best part. I mean, we love little kids.
34:03Like, the babies, they smell good. And little kids are so cute with their outfits.
34:08But I will tell you, as someone who has one kid, and every year it's just a different experience, the 15-year-old kid
34:15experience is pretty cool because you get these kinds of moments watching television, high-fiving, and you see the light coming on, and
34:22the light, the emotion behind the light is vengeance.
34:25Right? The little kids, they don't know what revenge is.
34:28They don't know what a revenge game is. They're cute, but my daughter still has cute moments and revenge.
34:34So, eh, age 15 is still a pretty damn good year to be a dad.
34:39And just to go through something I like to call a game log on Drake May, just a game log review on Player Profiler.
34:4712.8 fantasy points. Then he had nine. And then week three, he had 5.8.
34:51And then in week four, 27. And then in week five, 46.
34:55Pretty good. Pretty good quarterback play by this Drake May guy.
34:59He's not getting sacked. That's the thing. He's not getting sacked.
35:03Is that sustainable? No. Because, you know, just go down the dial.
35:06Right? Flip around to these games. You see some of these games, you have ferocious front sevens that are able to pressure the pass.
35:14Some are not. It's the thing that every NFL GM is desperately seeking.
35:18Edge rusher. They overvalue them the most in the draft.
35:22You see some of these guys get drafted, and you're like, I can't even believe this is happening.
35:28How is this guy barely had any stats in college, but he's long and athletic, and so Team X is drafting him
35:35in the first round, and you're like, okay. Okay.
35:38Right? You're hoping for a Trey Hendricks. You're hoping for, I mean, you don't even need an elite edge rusher.
35:44It's not like you need Miles Garrett. You're just hoping for a guy that can get there sometimes.
35:50Like, that's it. Like, Matthew Judon. Like, that's all we needed in New England.
35:55We. Right? I'm not really allowed to say we.
35:58My daughter can say we, but because of what happened, I don't think I can say we anymore.
36:03So, anyway. It's hard. It's hard to get consistent pressure on the quarterback, and when you go up against a team that does, it becomes very challenging.
36:12Some teams have an offensive line that can manage those situations, and these quarterbacks can thrive no matter what.
36:18Like Caleb Williams. When Caleb Williams comes back, he will be able to thrive no matter what because of that offensive line.
36:26I'm going to be very bullish on Caleb Williams for the rest of the season.
36:30He's supposed to be back this week, week six.
36:33Caleb Williams returns, thankfully, and it's going to be a fireworks display in the sky.
36:38I'm so ready for it. We're going to talk about the Bears in a little bit.
36:43Don't worry. Drake May, though, he's about to have a shootout with the Bears very soon.
36:49Week seven, the Patriots face the Bears. After that, they face the Dolphins in week eight.
36:54So, it's just an incredible three-game stretch because who are they playing?
36:58They're playing the Jets this week. Like, yeah, okay, so did you skip week six?
37:03Oh, no, no, no, no. I'm going to be at that game.
37:07I'm going to that game. And, you know, it's exciting.
37:10It's exciting. Mike from the audience, he knows who he is, a member of this audience, actually hooked me up with these tickets.
37:17So, I just want to give a little shout out there to Mike S.
37:22Appreciate you. And I'm ready for this. However, I'm going into the rest of the season with the Drake May experience and
37:29this Patriots experience with eyes wide open. This is not a Super Bowl team.
37:34They have real issues in the offensive line that are not going to get fixed.
37:38Will Campbell sprained his knee, and he's going to be out for the stretch.
37:43If you had to pick a stretch of games to miss your left tackle, it would be this exact stretch.
37:49So, the Patriots are getting lucky again. I acknowledge that.
37:53There's definitely some luck here, but we're just going to ride it out.
37:57We're going to ride it out and enjoy Drake May.
38:00And just shame on everyone. Everyone that somehow participated in what happened at Keep Trade Cut.
38:05Because we talked about this on the Sonic Truth show.
38:09It's truly, truly embarrassing what happened. Drake May fell out of the top five quarterbacks in Dynasty.
38:14Like, how does that even happen? I just can't believe it.
38:18I still can't believe it. I was stunned. This was one of the things that was like the driving force behind us
38:25going three hours on the Sonic Truth podcast this weekend.
38:28It was just inexplicable. I was like, what's next?
38:31Bryce Young over Drake May? And Cody was like, no, no, no.
38:35I'm like, I don't know. I don't know. Well, it was Allen, Caleb Williams, Lamar Jackson, Brock Purdy, Joe Burrow, Drake May.
38:42And then also an early 2027 first surpassed Drake May too.
38:46What would you rather have? Drake May or any future draft pick?
38:50Of course you want Drake May, right? The best scenario.
38:53And this is super flex we're talking about. The best scenario.
38:57The best. The absolute zenith would be that your 2027 pick becomes a quarterback somehow comparable to Drake May.
39:03And yet you'd rather have that than the actual Drake May.
39:06Makes no sense how this happens. Why? Why so reactionary to quarterback play?
39:11And like if Drake May, I would argue that if Drake May had another underwhelming performance in week five, you would have
39:18seen a convergence of Drake May and Bryce Young in the dynasty rankings on keep trade cut that are driven by crowdsourced data.
39:25This is the public roaring up and saying no to Drake May.
39:29Yes to Bryce Young. And that's why the public cannot be trusted.
39:33That is the takeaway. That's a bonus takeaway. That's not even a real takeaway.
39:38That's just a bonus takeaway. And we have all the takeaways, by the way, on patreon.com slash podfather.
39:43I post a show sheet there. Also, we send it out through our sub stack to our newsletter.
39:49So every Monday before I go live, you are getting in your inbox, subscribe to the newsletter on playerprofile.com.
39:55It's right there on the homepage. Just scroll down, subscribe, put your email in there and you can follow along with the show sheet.
40:03We put it out there. And I see this in the chat.
40:07I know. I know. I know. I know. And I want to say, I'm sorry.
40:12Like, I do want to say this. I, yeah, yeah.
40:15It's all victory laps and it's all told you.
40:18So as I get it until you have to talk about Tyler shock, right?
40:23Cause I know you all listen to the sonic truth.
40:26We talked about how Tyler shock is for real.
40:29And I give Cody his flowers because he was way out ahead on Tyler shock.
40:34And then Tyler shock gives you zero fantasy points.
40:37And we had certainly had Tyler shock projected as a, like a top five, top 10 quarterback in week five.
40:43Yeah, I know. I know. And, uh, I'm sorry that I did not see that zero coming.
40:49I did not. And I apologize. I got that prediction wrong.
40:52I predicted Tyler shock would be a great option.
40:55In fact, you know, I predicted it because in real life, in the one redraft league that I'm in the one just
41:02managed seasonal league that I'm in, I was matched up with Chuck Bass.
41:07And we talked about it on the starter stream show Sunday morning.
41:11We laid out our matchup with each other and I was starting Tyler shock.
41:15And I said, Hey, I'm starting Tyler shock. And I'm telling everybody just start Tyler shock until you hear.
41:21Otherwise, this is a team throwing the ball 45 times a game until something happens that might disrupt that you keep playing
41:29Tyler shock based on volume alone, volume and baseline competence, which he's clearly demonstrating that both himself, the coaches, the public fans, fantasy gamers.
41:36We all see it. He's a good player. The problem was Minnesota, right?
41:41And so an important takeaway, another bonus takeaway, I guess this is another bonus takeaway.
41:45We try, we started and you can see it.
41:48Okay. You can see the reason why I want to publish this on Patreon and on sub sex.
41:54You all can see that there is a top 10 that I'm not trying to go over 10 takeaways and make this an hour show.
42:02I want this to be a tight half an hour show every time.
42:07It's what I aspire to. Justin, I need you.
42:10What's up, my man? Do we aspire to have a tight 30 minute show?
42:14We stick to 10 takeaways. Do what is that what we talked about before every show before we go live?
42:21We want to, we want to, but those bonus takeaways, they just come out of thin air, man.
42:26That's that's the genius. We've got to let the genius work.
42:30Thank you, Justin. I didn't pay him to say that.
42:33That was amazing. Genius. Wow. I hope my daughter's listening to this.
42:37She just talks nonstop, just trash to me. She's better at fantasy.
42:41She's a better Patriots fan. So I needed that.
42:44Thank you, Justin. I needed that positive reinforcement. It's been a rough weekend, except the Patriots, right?
42:50That makes everything better. But the Tyler shock performance certainly made it worse.
42:54Now I do is the great balance. Yeah, this was the great.
42:58We have Parker Washington and Drake may over here.
43:01And then we have the Tyler shock and the will shipley injury, the Tyler shock implosion and the will shipley injury over here.
43:08And so it was a pretty balanced weekend. How I would describe it.
43:12And as an important takeaway here regarding Tyler shock specifically, if a QB relies primarily on garbage time volume for his fantasy production, that is fragile.
43:21That only works against non elite defenses, but through four weeks, it's not always clear who the elite defenses are.
43:27I think it's clear now. It's clear now that Minnesota is absolutely an elite defense and you could argue the best defense in the league.
43:35And it's much easier to make this decision in week 12, 13, 14, when we know what these defenses are with more certainty.
43:43But if you have a garbage time volume dependent quarterback going up against the best defense in the league, you have to sit that guy.
43:51He is a sit every time and you play him when the situation is good.
43:56But when you see him going up against a truly elite defense, we're talking about top five in Minnesota's case, one of one defense.
44:04You have to bench that guy for Jacoby Brissett.
44:07You have to do that. I didn't, I could have, and I didn't.
44:11And I'm sorry. I'm sorry to my own fantasy team.
44:14I got crushed by Chuck Bass because of it, but I'm so much more interested in taking the long view on quarterbacks, right?
44:22You start the wrong guy one week. We've all done it.
44:25Don't blame yourself. Move on and remember to take the long view.
44:29And also know that in our weekly projections, we learn from these situations.
44:33These situations come up very rarely, but when they do, we learn and we will apply additional restraint on quarterback projections like
44:40Tyler Shucks when they face defenses like the Minnesota Vikings in the future.
44:45But again, I'm much more interested in the long view.
44:48I typically talk more about dynasty rankings than I do weekly rankings.
44:52And I just want to make sure that I reinforce the fact that Tyler Shuck is a long-term NFL starter.
44:58I believe that is true. However, there's one quarterback where I think there's real doubts.
45:03And Cody brought this up. Cody asked the question on the Sonic Truth.
45:08I wasn't ready for it, but I was so here for it.
45:11I was like, oh God, let's do this. Let's talk about this.
45:15He asked the question, does Bo Nix stink? Bo Nix last week, 123 passing yards in a full game.
45:22And again, week five, you look at the rankings, Bo Nix led the league in frustrated moments from coaches and teammates.
45:28I mean, the camera could not stay focused on the action because they kept panning to the Broncos sidelines.
45:35And I do believe that my producer, Justin, my fearless producer, very complimentary producer is a Broncos fan.
45:40And I am here to tell him right now, he can bring himself in the show again.
45:46The more Justin, the better at this point. I think Bo Nix, even before week five, even before another turd of a
45:53performance was QB 19 and dynasty on player profiler in our dynasty deluxe package.
45:58Yeah. What do you think of that? Don't love it, but it is fair.
46:02It has not been a good start to the year.
46:05It does look about the same as last year, though, if I am being honest.
46:10This whole Sean Payton switching over the play sheet and solving all the problems.
46:15Man, it did not look good. It looked like I said, it looked just like last year.
46:20Last year, we were just slow to start every single game.
46:24It's like Bo Nix had to bail us out in the fourth quarter every time.
46:29Looking like Tim Tebow back in 2012 or whatever.
46:32He looked more like Florida Tim Tebow, Gator Tim Tebow.
46:35So he was more Gator Tim Tebow than Life Surge Tim Tebow.
46:39Yeah. More Magic Mile High moments. Not Pablo Torre gotcha Tim Tebow.
46:43Pablo Torre, scalp on the wall, top five billionaire, top five evangelical football player.
46:47You got God by Pablo Torre. Love Pablo Torre.
46:50Of course. Of course you guys know I love Pablo Torre.
46:54Come on. He went to Harvard. Of course I love him.
46:58Bo Nix, man. I don't think he was ever that good.
47:01The Jared Stidham experience in the playoffs helped to create more mystique around him.
47:06It's why he's still top 12 on Keep Trade Cut for a long time.
47:10He's finally fallen in the consensus rankings, the public crowdsource rankings down to QB 15.
47:15But he's going to drop out of the top 20.
47:18I just want to warn you. That's going to happen.
47:22Makes sense the way it's going. Waddle did not look happy with him this week.
47:26Multiple times throwing his hands up, even on the field.
47:30Not a great look. Waddle also has to squeeze the football.
47:33So there's a lot of problems going on. Nothing is going as planned in Denver.
47:38Sorry, Justin. Thanks, buddy. Now, speaking of Drake May, we should also talk Efton Chisholm because last week, I always have to
47:45go back to last week a little bit just to refresh, look back.
47:50Anything from last week manifest this week? Oh, yes.
47:52Oh, yes, it did. Last week, we talked about how Efton Chisholm and Darius Cooper represent the new modern NFL wide receiver,
48:00where the wide receiver four on your team can make Odell Beckham Jr.
48:04like catches. That did not used to be the case.
48:07When I was a kid, the Eagles and the Patriots wide receiver fours could barely catch at all.
48:13Now they could make one-hand catches behind their back.
48:16Like, the skills of NFL wide receivers has, it's just, it has grown exponentially.
48:20And these are guys that are late round picks, undrafted guys, guys that just earn it.
48:26Darius Cooper, Efton Chisholm. Efton Chisholm looking a lot like Julian Edelman out there.
48:30And I posted this on Twitter. You can check it out on Twitter X.
48:35My personal wide receiver rankings for the New England Patriots.
48:38Number one, A.J. Brown hurt. Number two, Kyle Williams.
48:41Number three, Efton Chisholm. Number four, Demario Douglas. Number five, Mack Hollins.
48:45Number six, Romeo Dobbs. There is another wide receiver.
48:48I forgot his name on the IR. I couldn't bring myself to put him over Romeo Dobbs, but it wouldn't take much.
48:55Romeo Dobbs stinks and everybody knows it. And whenever he scores somehow, some way, it's disappointing because it just, it pushes out
49:02the reckoning that the Patriots have to suffer through in order to finally, ultimately one day stop giving this guy snaps and
49:09routes because they haven't got to that point yet.
49:12You look at the route share, 95% route share for Romeo Dobbs on Sunday.
49:17Chisholm, Chisholm, 74%. Ooh, Chisholm. Five catches on six targets, 57 yards.
49:21Dobbs, one catch, 16 yards because he's not good at all.
49:24Okay. And now Darius Cooper, check in on Darius Cooper.
49:28Just three targets. He doesn't have a big target share this year.
49:31His target share is very modest, but he scored on a long touchdown, had that 70 yard touchdown and looked great doing it.
49:39He's going to earn more and more snaps. In fact, it's already happening.
49:43He and Dontavian Wicks had a very similar route participation rate this week.
49:47I mean, Wicks had 63 yards on eight targets, but that's a low yards per target.
49:53Wicks does not offer you a lot. Just by one highlight catch, you can tell, oh, Darius Cooper has more dynamism, has more playmaking ability than Dontavian Wicks.
50:02Dontavian Wicks is the ultimate sell high. I have him in a couple of leagues.
50:07I'm trying to get rid of him in Dynasty as quickly as possible.
50:11And I already have tons of Darius Cooper just because it was based on nothing other than the fact that I know the Eagles like him.
50:19I know the Patriots like Chisholm. Just like I knew years ago, Jacksonville liked Parker Washington.
50:24And that's a reason to start dabbling, a reason just to start accumulating small amounts, small amounts here and there.
50:31You see him stash him, see him stash him taxi squad here, there.
50:35Suddenly you look up, you got 40% of this guy in Dynasty.
50:39I think I have slightly more Chisholm than I do Darius Cooper because Darius Cooper had that big spike week already.
50:46And then so a few people bid him up.
50:49No one was bidding up Chisholm. Oh, I have all the Chisholm.
50:53Feels so good. I wish though, I wish I had more Eli Raritan.
50:57I really do. Because that's another, we're not going to have a whole Patriots corner on this show.
51:03I just want to make sure you know that.
51:06But I think that the 46 fantasy points from Drake May necessitated a Patriots specific set of takeaways this week, which we've
51:13put all under the headline of like takeaway number six when you look at the show sheet.
51:18So this is all one takeaway. Takeaway A, takeaway B, takeaway C.
51:22We have our tricks. We have rhetorical tricks to get to 10 takeaways, even though it's more like 20.
51:29Get Eli Raritan where you can. Five for five, 57 yards, outproduced.
51:32Hunter Henry in the yardage department, just not in the fantasy department because Hunter Henry had the touchdown.
51:38But Eli Raritan is that rare mid-round tight end that can break out as a rookie.
51:44They're out there, right? They're out there. These guys that are third, fourth, fifth round picks.
51:49Hunter Henry himself was a third round pick and Mark Andrews early mid-round picks with athletic profiles that look a lot like Eli Raritan.
51:57These guys tend to break out, not necessarily in year one, but eventually.
52:01That's why we believe in this way. Terrence Ferguson, we believe Eli Raritan doing it this early.
52:06He's already more valuable than Terrence Ferguson. And if he's going to go five for five in week five of his rookie
52:13year, and he's already been producing, he's already been running significant route share all season.
52:18Hunter Henry is on the back half of his career.
52:22He's being phased out. Raritan's being phased in. Get in now.
52:25He scores a touchdown in that game. Suddenly everyone's looking at that box score going, oh, this is a big, this is kind of a breakout.
52:34Look at this guy. He's breaking out all over the place.
52:37He hasn't done enough yet. He's just been super efficient.
52:40That's it. So there's still time to get him in every format.
52:44He's very interesting. Even deep seasonal leagues. He's interesting.
52:47But in Dynasty, he's a smash. Titan premium. My God, he was hard to get.
52:52I ended up with more Oscar Delp, admittedly, than a guy like Eli Raritan.
52:57I feel, I feel terrible that this has happened.
53:00I mean, I wanted him very badly. I have Matt Hibner.
53:03I have Tanner Kosciel. These players made it to the fourth round, even in Titan premium Dynasty league rookie drafts.
53:10Not so with Eli Raritan. You had to pay a premium to get Eli Raritan, even in startups in Titan premium.
53:17And sometimes I couldn't get him. A lot of times I couldn't get him.
53:21And I'm disappointed. I mean, if I had to pick a player I really wish I had more of in Dynasty would be Eli Raritan.
53:29Takeaway number seven. I much prefer a torn ACL to a high ankle sprain.
53:34I mean, give me a torn ACL all day.
53:37At least with a torn ACL, we know what we're getting, right?
53:41We know the timeline, right? Think about the high profile ACL recoveries we're seeing already this year play out.
53:47Tucker Kraft, five for five, 46 yards and a big play in week five.
53:51Malik Nabors, 20 targets, 121 yards and a touchdown, 29 fantasy points in week five.
53:56Did we think we would get that in week one, two, three?
54:00No. But as of week five, this was very much in Malik Nabors range of outcomes.
54:05Even my daughter knew it. And I shouldn't say even my daughter because she knew it even before I knew it.
54:12But we all eventually know it's going to happen on a particular schedule.
54:16There's something important about that, especially when you take the long view on players like in Dynasty formats, knowing that about week
54:24four, week five, we're going to start to see Malik Nabors.
54:27And then sure enough, you go to our Dynasty rankings and there he is.
54:32He's in that Jamar Chase tier already. But now the question is, when is he going to challenge JSN?
54:38He's on that trajectory. Meanwhile, high ankle sprains. Look at A.J.
54:42Brown. They won't even commit to maybe he practices, maybe he doesn't.
54:45I don't really know. There's no timeline. We hope maybe he practices if well, maybe then.
54:51Lamar Jackson, it's an unconventional sprain. It's not mid, but it's not high, but it's not low.
54:56It's kind of mid-ish, mid, high, low-ish. What does that even mean?
55:00I don't know. No one knows. Unconventional. These are weird words to use to describe injuries.
55:05That doesn't happen with ACLs. You just know what it is.
55:09You basically go to your calendar, you circle a date, and you move on.
55:13High ankle sprain, you get no idea. Jeremiah Love, two fantasy points.
55:17Why? Partly high ankle sprain. Jeremiah Love's production this year, fantasy production.
55:2113, seven and a half fantasy points. Then 21.9, 6.2 fantasy points.
55:25And then he bottomed out in week five with two fantasy points.
55:29I don't know. And again, I was attacked on social media when I said the worst case scenario for Jeremiah Love is a lost season.
55:37That looks like a lost season. One usable game.
55:40One game that's helping you at all in five games for a premium pick, a top 30 pick.
55:46For some people, a top 20 pick. We were happily at consensus on a guy like Malik Neighbors, a guy like Tucker Craft.
55:53Not out ahead. We're never out ahead on guys that are not 100% to start the season.
55:59Not going to do it. Not our process. But at least with ACLs, we can just be on schedule and mostly with consensus right around ADP.
56:07That's what you're going to see. I'm spoiler alerting it to you now.
56:12Guy tears his ACL week eight. I can promise you, even if he has a revision surgery, we're going to be right there at ADP in the rankings.
56:21Because you can write it down. You can pull out a calendar.
56:25You can set your watch. You know how it's going to play out.
56:29As soon as you hear high ankle sprain. Oh, God.
56:32Oh, God. Run and hide. I don't know what to do with AJ Brown.
56:37Do you? Do you? Do you? Does anybody? Anyone in the chat?
56:41Anybody out there in the audience? Forward this show.
56:44If you listen to the podcast, forward it to your friend and ask him, do you know what the hell's going on with AJ Brown?
56:52Can you guess? What's your best bet? I don't know.
56:55When are we going to see him? Who knows?
56:58I've seen it happen where it's like, oh, not this week, next week.
57:02Oh, not next week, the week after. Oh, not the week after, the week after that.
57:07And then when is he going to be productive?
57:10Is it five weeks after that? Is there going to be an aggravation?
57:15Awful. Awful. Just run and hide. Shame on everyone.
57:17Everyone that came at me on Twitter X. This guy.
57:21This guy. Fuck this guy. Fearmongering. Loser. Idiot. Yeah, I think I know why.
57:25Because you already drafted Jeremiah Love. And you know I'm right.
57:29That we've seen many times worst case scenarios with these high ankle sprains.
57:33It does result in a lost season. That is worst case scenario.
57:37It has not fully played out yet. But we're on that road.
57:41Because why even invite it? Why invite it into your house?
57:44Hey, mom. There's a raccoon. Should we try to coax it into the house?
57:49No. Leave it alone. Okay? There's a player with a high ankle sprain.
57:53Leave it alone. Leave it alone. Johnny. Leave it alone.
57:56Okay? I think that's a snake that's injured. Should I pick it up?
58:01No! No! Leave it alone. Jesus. Leave these high ankle sprains alone.
58:05Run and hide, man. And take it back. That's too strong.
58:08You don't have to run and hide. Just be little Jimmy.
58:12Just see the injured animal and you walk away.
58:15Be like, I don't want those problems. Walk away.
58:18Now, if it's a bird with like a broken wing, like an ACL, then you can pick up the little birdie and you can, oh, hi little birdie.
58:27You're good. I'll help you. And you could feed it and nurse it back to health.
58:32All good. Get all the Malik neighbors. You know, bird with a broken wing.
58:37Malik neighbors. All in. AJ Brown. Eek! I'm not all in on Cam Ward, but I do want to say as a
58:44takeaway number eight, you need to start getting some Cam Ward and Dynasty in Superflex.
58:49He is absolutely a buy low. We've discussed it now on many shows.
58:53So we're on like three or four shows and like social media videos I've posted that you're in the market for Carnell Tate.
59:00That's a crayon take. Not so obvious as being all in on Cam Ward.
59:05And that's too strong. Mostly in on Cam Ward.
59:08Certainly it's possible that he busts and is never heard from again.
59:12That is just so, so rare for a 101.
59:15Every other position and draft pick, corresponding draft pick, is overvalued across fantasy.
59:19You take a running back drafted at pick nine, fantasy gamers are going to overrate that guy.
59:24They're going to. I can tell you right now, you know it, I know it.
59:29He's going to get overrated because of where he was drafted.
59:33The one exception is when a quarterback goes at the 101.
59:36Okay. Now, it's not just the 101, but it's mostly the 101.
59:40I'm thinking of Bryce Young. I'm thinking of Baker Mayfield.
59:44I'm thinking of Jared Goff, but there's others like Sam Darnold, right?
59:47He could have been a 101 in another year.
59:50Very high pedigree quarterbacks will get second and third chances and they will eventually break out.
59:56You're seeing this right now with Mac Jones. Mac Jones is being treated like he was the 101 because he went to Alabama, played with Nick Saban.
60:04So they're treating him like the 101. Every coach wants him as their backup quarterback.
60:09He's eventually going to be a starter somewhere. Why Alabama?
60:13But it's almost like they know that Kyle Shanahan should have drafted him in the top five, but instead went Trey Lance.
60:20And then Kyle Shanahan himself is trying to correct that mistake by bringing him in and nursing him back to help.
60:27Like he's Kyle Shanahan's like broken wing player. That is going to happen with Cam Ward.
60:32Some coach somewhere is going to nurse him back to help.
60:35You know it. We've just seen this movie way too many times.
60:39So just get him, right? Get him. It can't get any worse.
60:43Let's put the video up on the screen. I got to see this.
60:47I got to see this one more time. I just got to see this one more time.
60:53I want to keep playing it on a loop.
60:56There are offensive linemen in Tennessee that are just wandering around during plays, not knowing where they're going, who they're supposed to
61:03be blocking, who's coming from what direction. And Cam Ward is under constant attack, constant duress.
61:08There's no other explanation than incompetent coaching. Coaches can do more damage.
61:12They could do more harm than they can do good to a football team.
61:17You're seeing that with the Chargers and you're seeing that with the Titans.
61:21Eventually, they will get this fixed. They will get new personnel in, in the front office, the coaching staff, and in the offensive line.
61:29And Cam Ward will look like a different guy.
61:32Just like Sam Darner looks like a different guy.
61:35Sometimes. Sometimes. In the Super Bowl. Well, not the Super Bowl.
61:38But it's sometimes. Once in a while. On hard knocks, sometimes.
61:42He looks like a different guy than we saw in New York.
61:46Because he's in the nest. He's in the nest with a nice offensive line that's perfectly manicured to protect him.
61:52Give them that extra half a second to throw.
61:55He has the best receiver in the league. He does, in fact, have the highest spin rate on his footballs.
62:02So he has that going for him. Cut through that Seattle wind.
62:05It's a perfect situation. Eventually, you put Cam Ward in a, at least, better than average situation.
62:11He's going to deliver fantasy points. And then, because he was a 101, his valuation will autocorrect.
62:16That means he's a buy low right now. He has to be.
62:20All these guys are buy lows. Name a Titan.
62:23Nicholas Singleton. Buy low. Cam Ward. Buy low. Carnell Tate.
62:27Oh, buy all of it. And we're not done.
62:30You think that's it? You think that's 10 takeaways?
62:32It's not. Well, it is. But it's not. Because I have the definitive show sheet, which tells me we have two more takeaways left.
62:40Takeaway number nine. Fine. Marshawn Lloyd is passing the eye test in a big way for whatever that is worth.
62:47I'm buying Marshawn Lloyd in Dynasty. We've had him ahead of Caleb Williams all along because when given space, particularly in the passing game, he thrives.
62:55The offensive line situation is as bad as it gets in Green Bay.
62:59But when he has the ball, he looks like a proper bell cow.
63:04He has the bell cow profile, physical profile, but also the bell cow skill set.
63:09And how do I know that? Go to player profiler, scroll down and look at the Marshawn Lloyd explosive play breakdown.
63:15He has explosive plays all in the passing game.
63:18Why? Because there are no yards blocked. He has no room to operate as a runner.
63:24The only way he can even get any space to show off his incredible physical traits is as a receiver.
63:30And that's what we're seeing. And Green Bay is seeing this.
63:34And they've clearly seen enough of Caleb Johnson. Caleb Williams was banished to fourth quarter mop-up duty.
63:39All the important snaps and touches went to Marshawn Lloyd in week five.
63:43But he didn't produce big numbers. So he's still a buy.
63:47Still a buy low. And finally, speaking of buy lows, in all fantasy formats, this is not just seasonal leagues.
63:53This is Dynasty. This is next week. Especially with Caleb Johnson.
63:57I think done, right? Like, if a second NFL team is, for whatever reason, sick and tired of you, if you're a
64:04running back and you're not a first-round pick, it's probably over.
64:08But Caleb Williams, on the other hand, was the 101.
64:11And he was a quarterback. And had one of the greatest performances we've seen all year in week one.
64:17Has the Patrick Mahomes raw skill set. Just not quite polished like Patrick Mahomes.
64:22While he's been out, Burden, Loveland, Adunze, they've all languished.
64:25But I think they're all buy lows. I'm buying low on Burden, of course.
64:30I'm buying low on Loveland, of course. I am buying low on Roma Adunze.
64:34Roma Adunze is polarizing. Because he doesn't look good when you watch the games.
64:39I understand that. When you look just at his expected fantasy points output, just based on air yards and target share, just
64:46targets and air yards, in week five, Roma Adunze's expected fantasy points would have been over 18.
64:51His actual fantasy points is five. And is that his fault?
64:55Because he can't squeeze the football? Is he a prairie yards king?
64:59Maybe. Maybe he just stinks. Or, more likely, he's been enduring second- and third-string quarterback play as an outside receiver.
65:05And those throws are most difficult for non-elite quarterbacks, much less backup quarterbacks.
65:10You know who loves those throws the most, though?
65:13The back shoulders, the back of the end zone, deep along the sideline.
65:17Do you know who can deliver those passes the best, at least in the NFC?
65:22Caleb Williams. So I would argue that Roma Adunze is also a buy low because he is a phenomenal skill match with Caleb Williams.
65:29And his expected fantasy points, while Caleb Williams has been out, has dwarfed his actual fantasy points.
65:35And there really isn't a better argument for buying low on a player than that.
65:40You might say, well, he wasn't a first-round pick.
65:43He wasn't an elite talent. He came out of nowhere.
65:46Oh, wait, no, that's not true. He was a top-10 pick, right?
65:50The fickle fantasy gamer. Didn't you love the fickle fantasy gamer?
65:54They hate day-three running backs unless their names are Basial Tootin.
65:57And they love top-10 wide receivers drafted in the top-10 in the NFL draft.
66:02Unless their name is Roma Adunze, then they hate him.
66:05The fickle fantasy gamer, right? They love running backs that catch passes, especially those with size that catch passes.
66:11Unless their name is Roshon Johnson, they hate him.
66:14Roshon Johnson looked good. Roshon Johnson had seven targets.
66:17Caleb Williams has no need to dump it off to Roshon Johnson, but Roshon Johnson looked highly competent, which is all you need.
66:24If you have a great offensive line and a high-scoring offense, if you're just competent, then I'm interested, right?
66:31If you have size and receiving skills and general running back competence, Roshon Johnson is rising.
66:36I can't believe we've talked about so many elite players throughout the course of this show.
66:41Well over an hour, again, talking about Drake May, Caleb Williams, super elite players like Efton Chisholm, Darius Cooper, of course, Malik neighbors.
66:49So it just makes perfect sense that we would close out the show by saying trade for Roshon Johnson.
66:55Maybe sometimes, occasionally, as a throw-in, if you feel like it.
66:58Then you can pick up the little birdie and you can, oh, hi little birdie, you're good.
67:04I'll help you. Use that to talk about Drake May.
67:07That's how you do it. That's how you podcast, people.
67:10Thank you.
