Player insights

69

Alec Pierce

NegativeValue78:33

Alec Pierce is a bench-only asset due to lingering injury concerns, though he remains a target at his current depressed ADP.

Insight page

Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveProjection5:02

Amon-Ra St. Brown is ranked immediately after Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Roberts endorses him as a 100% safe, high-consistency pick for mid-round drafters, noting his repeated finishes as a top-three wide receiver.

Insight page

Blake Corum

PositiveUsage45:57

The source does not hate the strategy of drafting both Kyren Williams and Corum, noting that the Rams' offense is efficient enough to support both and that each serves as a high-upside handcuff for the other.

Insight page

Bo Nix

PositiveValue26:23

Bo Nix is identified as an appropriate quarterback target for the second round of Superflex drafts.

Insight page
PositiveValue66:08

The source is 100% comfortable waiting on quarterback and targeting Bo Nix as a QB1, expressing high confidence in this strategy.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeMatchup30:40

Brian Thomas Jr. faces a difficult schedule early in the season, with several matchups against lockdown secondaries, which may limit his immediate fantasy production.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveValue26:30

Brock Purdy is considered an appropriate quarterback target for the tail end of the second round in Superflex drafts.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeValue39:11

The source suggests packaging Bucky Irving in trades because there are still 'Bucky truthers' in leagues who value him highly.

Insight page
NegativeUsage61:47

The source suggests starting Irving in Week 1 to avoid the uncertainty surrounding Malik Nabers' snap count, viewing Irving as the safer, headache-free play.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

NegativeRole66:20

CJ Stroud offers job security as a guaranteed QB2, though he lacks the high-upside volume of a player like Jacoby Brissett, who faces more competition for his starting role.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue7:10

Chase Brown is a preferred end-of-first-round pick due to his extreme PPR volume and reliability. Roberts views him as a safe bet for a low-end RB1 finish, noting that even if Joe Burrow were injured, Joe Flacco's presence as a backup ensures the offense remains productive.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveValue11:42

Chris Olave is a smash pick in the third round. Roberts has pushed him up to her WR10, citing his high ceiling and the fact that he is the clear WR1 in his offense, especially with concerns regarding Rashid Shaheed's recurring hamstring issues.

Insight page
PositiveValue69:48

Chris Olave is highlighted as the start of a high-value pocket of wide receivers available in the third or fourth round of drafts.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveValue41:33

The source suggests targeting Christian Watson in trades by offering players like Marshawn Lloyd.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

NegativeValue43:32

The source suggests that while Sutton is a round nine target, reaching for him in round eight is appropriate, but reaching in round seven is likely pushing it too aggressively.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveValue26:26

Dak Prescott is a viable quarterback target for the second round of Superflex drafts.

Insight page

Dallas Goedert

PositiveValue16:41

Dallas Goedert is highlighted as a reliable, strong red-zone target and a key late-round tight end target for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

PositiveValue36:52

Dalton Kincaid is a solid backup tight end option to hold while waiting for George Kittle's health status.

Insight page

Daniel Jones

NegativeValue77:43

Daniel Jones is a last-resort QB3 in superflex leagues; he is not an outright target due to injury risk, but his rushing upside makes him viable if he returns to 100% health.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeProjection7:24

Roberts is very pro-Devon Achane, ranking him as the RB5 behind only Gibbs, Bijan, JT, and Christian McCaffrey. She acknowledges the risk but maintains he is a clear preference for her draft strategy.

Insight page
PositiveUsage47:18

The source emphasizes that the Dolphins intend to use Achane as a lead back with significant volume, including lining him up in the slot and out wide as a receiver, making him a high-upside option regardless of the offense's overall quality.

Insight page
PositiveUsage74:49

De'Von Achane is a high-priority target whose fantasy value is driven by pure volume rather than red-zone usage or goal-line carries.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveProjection13:43

DeVonta Smith is trusted as a WR1. Roberts views the Eagles' offensive coordinator change as an upgrade and expects sufficient volume for Smith to succeed, despite general skepticism regarding Philadelphia's pass volume.

Insight page

Dontayvion Wicks

PositiveRole15:14

Roberts suggests Dontayvion Wicks may see increased playing time on the outside, potentially ahead of other receivers, due to his familiarity with the new offensive system and the injury struggles of teammates.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout50:41

The source agrees that Wicks is a high-upside option and prefers him over other late-round wide receiver targets.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection24:42

Drake Maye is considered an elite quarterback option to target in the first half of the second round in Superflex leagues.

Insight page

Emeka Egbuka

NegativeInjury20:45

Emeka Egbuka is a risky pick due to a toe injury. While his ADP has dropped, making him a potential value, his health remains a concern that could impact his availability throughout the season.

Insight page

Emmett Johnson

PositiveDepth Chart34:48

Emmett Johnson is considered the direct handcuff to Kenneth Walker and should be held on rosters.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveUsage22:17

Garrett Wilson is a target hog with a high floor. Roberts notes that he produced top-12 weekly finishes even with poor quarterback play last year, and she expects 140+ targets if he remains healthy.

Insight page
PositiveValue60:11

The source is very positive on Wilson, suggesting he is a high-value trade target and that concerns about his quarterback situation are mitigated by the competence of the backup, Cade Klubnik.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeInjury36:52

George Kittle is a high-end producer when healthy, but his injury history makes him a risk; the source suggests keeping a backup like Kincaid.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveValue52:11

The source highlights Coker as a massive value in round 12, noting that his production will be closer to Xavier Legette's than his ADP suggests, especially with the Panthers' offensive line injuries forcing shorter passes.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveProjection30:25

Jalen Hurts remains a safe option in Superflex drafts due to the 'tush push' play.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveValue75:46

Jameson Williams is a strong target at WR3 or even WR2, supported by a favorable schedule of dome and warm-weather games following the Lions' bye week.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

PositiveProjection5:02

Tara Roberts ranks Jaxon Smith-Njigba as her top wide receiver in the first round, dismissing regression concerns as lacking a valid basis. She emphasizes that despite potential offensive coordinator changes, the team's talent and the expectation of aggressive usage make him a premier target.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveUsage31:48

Jaylen Warren is preferred over Rico for pass-catching upside, though the source expects an annoying split between the two.

Insight page

Jerry Jeudy

PositiveProjection71:11

Despite Deshaun Watson's potential to hyper-target Jerry Jeudy, the source warns against relying on this connection because Watson is unlikely to start the entire season.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

PositiveProjection24:50

Joe Burrow is included in the tier of elite quarterbacks that are realistic targets in the first half of the second round of Superflex drafts.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveValue32:50

The source agrees that taking Jonathan Taylor over Jamar Chase in a standard league is a reasonable move to secure a high-end, touchdown-heavy running back.

Insight page

Jordan James

PositiveDepth Chart65:30

While Kalon Black received opportunities during Jordan James' injury, the source expects the role to revert to Jordan James, making him the preferred handcuff option over Black.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveBreakout28:23

The source is back on Jordan Love, noting that the removal of Josh Jacobs could lead to increased pass volume and a return to his high-upside fantasy form.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveProjection24:13

The source identifies Josh Allen as the clear number one quarterback to target in Superflex drafts.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveValue78:33

The source is pro-targeting Josh Downs at his current ADP, noting that his value should increase significantly following the departure of Michael Pittman, despite the Keenan Allen signing.

Insight page

Kareem Hunt

PositiveDepth Chart68:45

The source believes Detroit will sign Kareem Hunt because they lack trust in the current depth chart behind Kenneth Walker (or the primary back), making him a necessary addition.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveUsage27:10

The source expects Kenneth Walker to see increased usage, particularly at the goal line, which may limit Patrick Mahomes' rushing upside.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeValue40:03

The source suggests potentially packaging Kyle Pitts in trades, noting that Tucker Kraft may have more upside.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveUsage45:57

The source argues that the Rams' offense is efficient enough to support two fantasy-relevant running backs, and if one were to get injured, the other would become a league winner.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveValue17:31

Ladd McConkey is considered a fine pick at his current ADP, which is much more reasonable than last year's price. Roberts believes he can coexist with Quentin Johnston in the Chargers' offense.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveValue24:31

The source advises taking Lamar Jackson if he falls to pick four in Superflex drafts to lock in an elite quarterback.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveSleeper29:15

Malik Willis is a viable Superflex target who could provide QB1 numbers if he maintains the starting role due to his rushing upside.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeValue26:45

Roberts advises trading away MarShawn Lloyd if you are a contender and can acquire future draft capital, noting that his long-term role in Green Bay is uncertain and he is currently an RB4.

Insight page
PositiveValue30:52

The source highlights Marshawn Lloyd as a potential league winner and notes he was drafted well above ADP.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper49:05

The source identifies Lloyd as a priority waiver wire target, noting he is currently on waivers in their league and is a strong candidate to serve as an RB2 while Josh Jacobs is out.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveUsage30:14

Parker Washington is recommended as a flex start, especially early in the season, because the Jaguars' schedule features difficult shadow coverage for their primary receivers, which should benefit Washington.

Insight page
PositiveValue58:14

The source is higher on Washington than other late-round wide receivers like Carnell Tate or Matthew Golden, advising against trading him away.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

NegativeUsage26:56

The source is wary of Patrick Mahomes due to mobility concerns, potential for reduced rushing, and Kenneth Walker's increased goal-line usage.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeValue62:15

The source believes taking Nacua as the first wide receiver off the board is a risk worth taking, as recent news suggests any potential suspension would likely be on the lower end.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

PositiveValue18:28

Roberts is very fond of Quentin Johnston, describing him as incredibly undervalued at his current ADP and capable of producing alongside other Chargers receivers.

Insight page

T.J. Hockenson

PositiveProjection44:06

The source believes Kyler Murray can make Hockenson fantasy-relevant again, noting that his recent struggles were likely due to injury and quarterback play rather than a decline in talent.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

NegativeValue17:04

Tee Higgins is viewed as a fallback option if preferred receivers are off the board. Roberts notes his injury history and status as a WR2, but acknowledges his week-to-week upside.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

NegativeValue30:17

Tony Pollard is a reliable, if unsexy, bench asset. Roberts advises against trading him because his trade value is lower than his actual utility as a floor-providing RB1 in his offense.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

PositiveValue25:53

Trevor Lawrence is a viable target when swinging back around in the second round of Superflex drafts.

Insight page
PositiveValue63:57

The source loves Lawrence as a target in 10-team leagues, noting that managers can play chicken with his ADP to secure him as a value-based QB1.

Insight page
PositiveValue68:14

Trevor Lawrence and Justin Herbert are interchangeable, but the source prefers Lawrence because he offers better value at ADP and retains significant rushing upside.

Insight page

Trey Benson

PositiveBreakout72:26

Trey Benson is preferred over Mason and Golden because he has the upside to potentially take over as the team's RB1.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

PositiveRole39:47

Tucker Kraft is expected to have a full workload, contrary to earlier concerns about a reduced role.

Insight page

Tyler Allgeier

PositiveUsage56:51

The source prefers Allgeier as a handcuff, noting he is the clear backup and will see significant volume if the starter misses time, especially given the Falcons' offensive efficiency.

Insight page

Tyler Shough

PositiveSleeper55:56

The source names Shough as a favorite late-round quarterback option, specifically citing the high-volume potential of his Week 1 matchup against the Lions.

Insight page

Xavier Legette

NegativeProjection18:55

Roberts is avoiding Xavier Legette in drafts. While she acknowledges he could reach 1,000 yards, she doubts he will have the reception volume needed for PPR formats due to the inconsistent pass volume from Bryce Young.

1:14Welcome into the Dear Ms. Fantasy Show with me, your host, Tara Roberts.
1:19This is the official mailbag show for Player Profiler.
1:21It is Wednesday, September. We are in September, September 2nd.
1:25And we are officially one week away from week one and exactly to the day because we've got Wednesday night football.
1:31I will have a show, a pregame show on Fantasy Pros on the Wednesday night.
1:36Um, actually betting pros for Wednesday night betting on Wednesday.
1:39That's crazy. Um, but yes, thank you to the NFL.
1:43We will have single games on Wednesday and Thursday.
1:46So we are officially one week out, which is insane to say.
1:49And I just wanted to do a catch all episode for you guys where we can talk about last minute draft tips
1:57and prep and any week one Q&A. If you guys, some of you have wrapped up your drafts and you're already jumping
2:04into week one, I've already gotten week one questions crazy.
2:07Um, but I know a lot of us are still drafting.
2:10I've still got one draft left. The one draft left that I have is my family league.
2:16My family league. I need to redeem myself because that went sideways due to injuries.
2:21And I've got a family member that is a, that is a savant ringer who does not listen to any fantasy stuff.
2:28But it plays, that's what he says. But I don't know if that's true because to do that well consistently, you got to be listening to something bad.
2:37So, but apparently he is a savant. And so it's time to step up and redeem.
2:42So I'm ready for my family league draft. I hope you guys are ready.
2:46Let me know what kind of drafts y'all got going on.
2:50I already see the comments here in the chat.
2:53So we'll go ahead and get started. Uh, first one into the chat was C Mass says, hi Tara.
2:59Thank you in advance for my two questions tonight.
3:02PPR first round pick. How would you rank JSN, Amonra St.
3:05Brown and Chase Brown? So in that exact order is how I have them in the first round, but I love them all.
3:13So I have no negatives about any of them, but my preference is JSN first because I know a lot of people have fears around regression.
3:21Which, yeah, regression always exists, but you know, sometimes we throw out regression for the sake of regression and we need a valid reason.
3:29Now your valid reason could be that they are changing offensive coordinators.
3:33So perhaps they, you know, adjust a little bit to target more because they've got talent on roster.
3:39I mean, Cooper Cup's a little old, but Rashid Shaheed is there.
3:42So they could switch things up and push targets out in other directions.
3:47But at the end of the day, we're still looking at an aggressive usage of JSN.
3:52I have Amonra rank right after JSN. So if you're looking to go wide receiver and you obviously don't get Puka or
3:59Jamar Chase, those are my two clear preferences. There's a teardrop for me right after Amonra St.
4:04Brown to where there's a gap with him and CeeDee Lamb.
4:08Because CeeDee Lamb, with the addition of George Pickens, just does not have the same ceiling as Puka, Chase, JSN, or Amonra.
4:15Amonra has finished as the wide receiver three over and over and over again.
4:19If you're looking for genuine consistency, that is not a risk in any way, shape, or form.
4:25It is Amonra St. Brown. So I endorse him 100% if you're picking in mid-rounds.
4:30I love him as a pick. And then Chase Brown, I think, is a fine end of round one pick if you have a back half.
4:38Because there's guys that I would like, let's look at my actual rankings for a running back.
4:44You guys know that I am very, very pro Devon HN.
4:47You can feel a certain type of way about it.
4:50That's just my preference is that after we have the top four of Gibbs, Bijan, JT, and Christian McCaffrey, I then have HN.
4:58If you don't want to take that risk, I totally understand and I'm not going to force you to do it.
5:05But I have HN, Barkley, James Cook, and then Chase Brown.
5:08Those are just my preferences. But after that, after Cook, that is a clear Chase Brown for me.
5:14He comes before the guys that are a little bit riskier, like Ashton JT dealing with the injury.
5:20Kenneth Walker going to a new system. Amarion Hampton, who I think is safe, right?
5:24But at the end of the day, you just got to be careful because we haven't seen consistent high-end production out of him because he's so young.
5:33So he's only got a season under him. So it just gaps between him and those other backs because Chase Brown has been so incredibly reliable.
5:42So if you're picking at the end of the first round, I love using Chase Brown and doubling up with any of
5:49the other massive high-upside running backs because Chase Brown is just such a very, very safe guarantee to finish at minimum a
5:56low-end RB1 because of the extreme volume he gets from a PPR perspective.
6:00And again, I think I've mentioned this before, but you don't have to be afraid of what happens if Joe Burrow gets injured.
6:07And anyways, Joe Burrow isn't every other year kind of guy.
6:11It's an off year, so perhaps he makes it through the season.
6:15But regardless, not concerned about anyone in Cincinnati in the event that Joe Burrow gets injured because they have Joe Flacco retained.
6:22And Joe Flacco is about as solid as you can get to push volume as a backup quarterback.
6:28And they all did excellent with him last year.
6:30So no problem there. But that's how I rank them.
6:34They're all fine round one picks for me. No issues.
6:37Moving on to the next question. Also from CMASK, the second question that you had there was, in PPR, there are nine
6:44wide receivers that are hard to separate. Thoughts on Olave, Smith, Higgins, McConkie, McMillan, Abuka, Flowers, Waddle, and Wilson.
6:50I was actually just updating my wide receiver rankings.
6:53And I hope that because I stopped updating them that all of my changes were not lost.
6:58But I do have a tier separation between some of those guys.
7:02For me, Olave and Smith. And I also have, you didn't put Zay Flowers.
7:07Oh, wait. Yeah, you did. Towards the back of the end.
7:10Olave, Smith, Zay Flowers. They, and I guess you can put T.
7:14Higgins, but I just don't like that T. Higgins is technically a wide receiver too.
7:19And does have always the consistent injury bugs. But really for me, Olave, Smith, and Flowers, I trust him as my wide receiver one.
7:27I do separate them a little bit because when I'm looking at Olave, I've pushed him up about as high as I can to wide receiver 10.
7:35That's one spot above George Pickens, who I love.
7:38So it's no negative towards George Pickens. But I am very excited to see what Olave brings to the table, particularly early
7:45in the season and beyond without Jordan Tyson. And the thing about Jordan Tyson, guys, just remember that being on IR does
7:53not guarantee that it's only four weeks. This is a recurring habitual issue with him.
7:57These hamstrings, something that we were worried pre-draft, hoping that it wasn't going to be an issue.
8:03So when it gets to the point where you've got recurring issues that you have to see a specialist, that is concerning to me.
8:11So Olave for me is such a fine pick as a wide receiver one.
8:15And you are still able to get him in the third round at this point.
8:20So it's a smash pick for me. That's my clear preference.
8:23I also like Devontae Smith. I know that people are just like a little bit skeptical of what the pass volume is going to look like for Philadelphia.
8:32A lot of distrust of Jalen Hurts. We've got the offensive coordinator change, which is an upgrade in my opinion.
8:39I know that maybe you don't, you know, Sean Mannion coming over from Green Bay.
8:44Look, whether or not you believe in Sean Mannion, he's coming from an excellent system.
8:49A system that does lean heavy on the run, but can utilize the pass very efficiently and effectively.
8:54And so we should still see enough volume to make Devontae Smith, who was the clear wide receiver one.
9:00And at this point, I don't trust Makai Lemon because of the injuries that he's been going through.
9:06We know that he's playing in the slot. At the end of the day, he might not even play in two wide receiver sets.
9:14That preference might be given to Dontae and Wicks on the outside.
9:18I know that it feels crazy, but the lack of work that he had because of these consistent issues, he still has
9:25to develop and push forward in this offense. And I was actually doing a show earlier, and I can't remember if it
9:32was, I think it was Derrick Brown. He made a really good point that we were doing bold predictions, and his bold
9:39prediction was that Makai Lemon's season looks a lot like Luther Burden.
9:43And that makes a lot of sense in terms of, at first, as they're making all these changes in the offense, they
9:50want to lean on the wide receivers. Sean Mannion has worked with Dontae and Wicks in the past in Green Bay.
9:57We know that Devontae Smith will step up as the wide receiver one.
10:01Dallas Goddard has been incredibly reliable and a very strong red zone target.
10:05I think that repeats. I've become very comfortable with him as my key late round target at tight end.
10:11So there might not be a lot that is left over.
10:15And obviously, you know, leaning aggressively on the ground with Saquon Barkley, there might not be a lot that's left over from a consistency standpoint with Lemon.
10:24So I do like Devontae Smith. But Higgins, he's always one of those guys where if I'm in the range and I
10:31need a wide receiver and the guys that are my preference have gone off the board, I will take him.
10:37It's not my favorite pick in the world, but you know that there's a level of upside that he has on a week-to-week basis.
10:45It's just a matter of accepting the fact that you're going to lose some games in the middle of it.
10:51McConkie, I'm fine with him at his ADP. Last year's ADP was absolutely egregious, right?
10:56Now we don't have to pay what was at a late round two price.
11:01Yikes. We don't have to pay that anymore. My preference, I think if you guys have heard me talk before, I do.
11:08I'm very fond. I was going to say I love.
11:11I'm very fond of Quentin Johnston and think he is incredibly undervalued at his ADP.
11:16But McConkie is still a fine pick. And both of them can eat.
11:20Both McConkie and Quentin Johnston can eat and Amari and Hampton can eat in this offense.
11:25And maybe Trey Harris too a little bit can eat in this offense with the upgraded system under Mike McDaniel.
11:31So I'm feeling very good about that. So I'm okay with McConkie.
11:35McMillan, I push back further in rankings. I've talked about it a lot, unfortunately.
11:40I'm not tapping McMillan, unfortunately, a lot in drafts.
11:43It's not happening. I feel very confident that he will have 1,000 yards again.
11:47He was a 1,000-yard receiver last year. No reason he shouldn't have 1,000 yards again.
11:52And, you know, eight-ish touchdowns, right? But I don't know if the amount of receptions that we need, particularly in PPR, are
11:59going to be there to the level that we need because of the inconsistent pass volume from Bryce Young.
12:05That's the issue. I love Ted O'Rome McMillan. It's not slander.
12:09If he was paired up with Joe Burrow, if he was paired up with Drake May, this would be another story.
12:16But he's not. He's paired up with Bryce Young.
12:18And the pass volume is just so inconsistent. You're happy if he throws for over 200 yards.
12:24And that's not a good recipe, unfortunately. So looking at it from that perspective, I just don't trust him to have the ceiling as these other guys.
12:33Like, I see the ceiling with Alave. I see the ceiling with Smith.
12:37I know the ceiling with Eggins. I see the ceiling with McConkie.
12:41I don't see it with McMillan. So he's a skip over for me.
12:45And then Abuka. I talked about Flowers a little bit and how he's in the higher grouping for me in terms of rankings.
12:52But Abuka, toe injury. Look, he's out there. He's practicing.
12:55I hope this is not something that plagues him rest of season in terms of, you know, turf toe.
13:02It can go either way. Sometimes it doesn't have a massive effect.
13:05And then there are other times where we saw last year where it's consistently an issue that you struggle with and you have to miss games.
13:14So we'll have to see. You're taking a risk.
13:17But I think the ADP has gone down enough.
13:20And his upside is extremely high. So I'm willing to take the risk.
13:24But I won't lie. I was drafting more of him before the injury.
13:28And then Waddle. Not my favorite in the world just because there's so many mouths to feed in Denver.
13:34But I'm definitely okay with tapping him at his ADP.
13:37And then Wilson. I'm very pro-Wilson from a volume perspective.
13:41To defend Wilson. And I don't think you need to defend Wilson whatsoever.
13:45Because we know he's a volume receiver. And if the targets are there, he will prosper.
13:50Like looking at him last year with Justin Fields, of all people, who I've tried to defend in the past.
13:56But good God, it was awful. Nasty. And as terrible as Justin Fields was, Garrett Wilson played six weeks with Justin Fields.
14:03In those six weeks, four of those weeks, he was a top 12 wide receiver.
14:08Like if Justin Fields can give us multiple top 12 performances from Garrett Wilson, quite literally anyone can.
14:14So anyone can. So I have zero fear of Geno Smith being able to deliver volume to Garrett Wilson.
14:20And there's no competition because Kenyon Sadiq has been dealing with injuries off and on.
14:25Omar Cooper is looking like he might be a wee bit of a bust.
14:29The wide receiver, too, is AD Mitchell, who's cool, has upside.
14:33But he is not Garrett Wilson competition. Wilson is the target hog in that offense.
14:38140 plus targets. Easy. Provided he stays healthy. But injuries have not been an issue prior to last year.
14:44So I don't think this is something we should be massively concerned with.
14:48I have Wilson ranked a little bit higher than the order here, but I'm very good with Wilson.
14:54So, yeah, that is my long, drawn-out explanation. But I like that range, really.
14:58Which is why I'm okay with double tapping, running back in the first couple of rounds, because I am okay with leaning into this range of receivers.
15:07I don't think you have to. And I don't have a major issue with Justin Jefferson.
15:12I haven't taken a lot of him, but I do believe that Kyler Murray can give him enough volume.
15:18Nico Collins, with the injury to Jaden Higgins, you know, helps him clear wide receiver one and whatnot.
15:24There's a certain floor that he has. Maybe not the same upside as Jamar Chase, but a certain floor that he has that we've seen year after year.
15:33So I don't dislike those guys. You can draft them.
15:36But taking advantage of the depth that we have at RB1, drafting there, and then tapping into this range, I like it a lot.
15:44So they're all very bunched up together. Those are my preferences, but it is really a good range to invest in a couple of wide receivers for sure.
15:53We got a super chat here. Oh, wow. We got super chats from Dan Grimm.
15:58Thank you. And from Mike Jank. Thank you. And then from Slim Reaper says, hey, I have an offer to trade away
16:05Lloyd for a late 2027 second and an early 2028 second.
16:09What do you think? I am a top two contender and Lloyd is my RB4-ish.
16:13You know, it's tough with you being a contender because you could utilize him.
16:18But with him being your RB4, I might go ahead and take advantage of that.
16:23Because it's always, you know, when you're getting this value out of, and, you know, we ultimately don't know long term what
16:30Josh Jacobs' NFL career will be, let alone if it will continue in Green Bay.
16:35But regardless, we're talking about an early second and a late one.
16:39And what I, you know, draft classes change on a year-to-year basis.
16:42What happens at what we think of a draft class at the beginning of the season is not always how it ends
16:49up at the end of the season. But I do feel the 2027 class is very strong.
16:55And at least I feel, now granted, the NCAA is always changing rules and whatnot.
17:00But I do think that a lot of those quarterbacks are going to be forced out this year.
17:06So we're not going to have any extended stays.
17:08And so it should be a pretty nice draft class for us.
17:12So going ahead and grabbing that, that value on the late 2027 second should pay off.
17:17I would, I would make that trade for sure.
17:20I know it might hurt if Lloyd does end up being the RB1 for the full season and, you know, pays off value.
17:28But from a dynasty perspective, I mean, more than likely, you're not going to get that level of value out of him.
17:35We don't know for sure if this guy is even capable of being an RB1.
17:40He could be, but we don't know. And I don't, I'm not a Caleb Johnson truther by any means.
17:46I think he might categorize me as a Caleb Johnson hater.
17:49But he could step up and be the RB1 too.
17:53There is anything within the realm of possibility. LaFleur could just run a committee if he doesn't trust all of them.
17:59So, yeah, I would take advantage of it. And I would go ahead and make that trade.
18:05I think it's a very fair offer. Stephen King says, finish my draft Sunday.
18:09PPR. One flex spot I got. Let's see. I got Aminra, Etienne, Herbert, Hampton, Warren.
18:14But my flex is either Parker Washington or Tony Pollard.
18:17How do I get rid of Pollard? I don't think you need to.
18:22Because his trade value is not as good as the actual value he has on your bench.
18:27And you should flex Parker Washington. And quite frankly, like, Parker Washington could eat, eat, eat, particularly in the beginning of the season.
18:34Because when you look at the Jags schedule, it is a whole bunch of lockdown corners.
18:40Like, it's a nasty schedule for Brian Thomas Jr.
18:42specifically. And Jacoby Myers a little bit too. So, I fear that Jacoby – I said everybody's name but Brian Thomas Jr.
18:50Brian Thomas Jr. is going to be getting a lot of very difficult shadow coverage by the top corners in what is
18:57– actually, I think I have it pulled up because we were talking about this – I was talking about this earlier on a podcast.
19:05Or psych, maybe. No, I don't. No, yeah, I do.
19:08It's Cleveland week one, which not necessarily the most lockdown-ish norm, but that's a solid secondary.
19:13That's a top 12 secondary. Denver, lockdown. New England, lockdown.
19:16Cincinnati. Philadelphia, very strong receiving core. Houston, lockdown. After – then they have the bye week in week seven.
19:22After that, Indianapolis. Perhaps Sauce is back to his normal self and can be lockdown.
19:27So, this is not – this is not an ideal schedule for Brian Thomas Jr., which means that it's a great schedule for Parker Washington.
19:35So, right off the bat, I would 100% flex Parker Washington, no question.
19:39And Tony Pollard can sit on your bench. It's – he's one of those guys who is not a – he's not a sexy pick.
19:47But he is a reliable pick for the fact that he is the RB1 in that offense.
19:53We've seen him and Tony Pollard together. We've seen him and Tajay Spears together.
19:57Spears gets a little bit of burn, but not enough to take away from a decent little floor from Pollard.
20:04Hopefully, this offense improves and we can have a low-end RB2 production out of Pollard would be what we were asking for.
20:11But I don't think you have to get rid of him.
20:15Especially – and you also commented that you had Garrett Wilson as well.
20:19So, you're a solid man. I – I is your – which is your wide receiver too, which is – Almanra and Garrett Wilson is an excellent combination.
20:28Not going to lie there. And Etienne and Amari and Hampton, solid combination.
20:32So, you're good. Put Pollard on your bench and live with it.
20:36It's fine. You'll be glad when injuries start hitting in bye weeks that you can go and look for those nine points for Tony Pollard to fill in.
20:45From Playmakers, I pick 12 in my league thinking about going, RB for my first two picks, 100%.
20:51Should I grab – or should I grab running back and then wide receiver?
20:55You can if you want to, but my preference at pick 12 is to go RB, RB.
21:01And it depends on how your league mates value running backs.
21:04But realistically, you can get a combination. I mean, James – more than likely James Cook will be gone by that point.
21:11But the most likely scenario of who you're able to get at that point would be a combination of like – Saquon
21:18could be there if someone decides to go wide receivers early, but he might go.
21:23But for sure, Chase Brown. I talked about Chase Brown earlier as being one of those very solid back-of-the-end double tap guys.
21:30So, Chase Brown, Devon Achan. Achan and Chase Brown is a lovely combination in PPR.
21:35Nice safe with a massive upside play option. You could go Kenneth Walker as well.
21:40And I don't hate – you know, Ashton Gentry is falling in drafts, but originally he was – before the injury, people
21:47viewed him as a solid round one pick. So, keep that in mind as well.
21:52So, double tapping RB is definitely my preference. Next question here from Eazy-E, which is perfect because I can tag it along with some mailbag questions as well.
22:01Eazy-E says, hey, Tara, my Superflex draft starts this Sunday, so I'm here like a sponge.
22:06Perfect because I had a mailbag question of how are you approaching Superflex this year with your quarterback strategy?
22:12Football is back, baby. And whether you've been betting for years or you're just looking to put a little action on the
22:19games, my bookie, needs to be added to your list of places to go line shopping.
22:24We've been talking about the teams we like and don't like for months.
22:28We're in on this Jets offense more than almost anybody.
22:32And we're terrified of this Falcons offense. Even though you got Bijan, you got Kyle Pitts, you got Drake London.
22:38But you got two bad left-handed quarterbacks. And you certainly don't need to be telling some fake betting expert on social media.
22:45Go to my bookie and find the plays you already know you like and take a shot.
22:51That's what's cool about my bookie. You can find the action you want and bet it wherever you are when the game kicks off.
22:58And if you're new to the club, the bet back bonus gives you protection on your first play.
23:04Sign up with promo code PLAYER to opt into the bet back bonus and take your first shot with a safety net.
23:11If your wager loses, you get it right back.
23:14No questions asked. Football is finally here. Get in now and cash in on the season with my bookie with promo code
23:21PLAYER to get that bet back bonus. Bet on anything, anytime, anywhere.
23:25You're welcome. And I think this is an important question to answer because when we talk about 1QB leagues, we often talk about fading quarterback.
23:33You know, punch, fade, push quarterback back. Quarterback depth is so strong.
23:37But you can't necessarily take that same approach with Superflex because of the advantage of having such a high-end, reliable option at quarterback.
23:44But it really depends on where you're picking, in my opinion.
23:48Because we're seeing a lot of – actually, I was doing a Superflex mock draft on Monday.
23:53You can find that on – we talked a lot about this.
23:57We talked a lot about quarterbacks and that if you want to check it out on Monday.
24:03It's saved on my channel in my playlist that says my Fantasy Pro Show.
24:07You will find it in there. But the premise is that, look, you are always tapping Josh Allen, number one.
24:14After that is where things get questionable because a lot of people I'm seeing in Superflex drafts are pivoting from going with
24:21Lamar Jackson or Drake May, and they're immediately leaning into Gibbs, Bijon Robinson, and sometimes even Jamar Chase.
24:27So when it gets to those middle picks, you might have the option.
24:31Like I was mocking and picking pick four. I had the option to go with wide receiver or Lamar Jackson.
24:37He fell to pick four. I took Lamar Jackson because I wanted to lock that in.
24:42So you could have Lamar Jackson there, Drake May.
24:45So realistically, if you're picking within the first six picks, you might be able to get – and you can include Joe Burrow in that.
24:53Not my favorite in the world, right, but he's still in that tier of elite quarterbacks that you could realistically take in
25:00the first half of the second round. So if you're picking in that first six picks of Superflex, I do advise you
25:07grabbing an elite quarterback or obviously one of the elite running backs for sure.
25:12You'll have your pick there. And the back half is where things get interesting because you don't necessarily have to go that direction.
25:19It depends on what falls to you, who's there.
25:22You can find yourself, and you have the ability to flip around in the second and grab your quarterback there.
25:29So let's say that you're picking in the back half, and you want to solidify running back.
25:34And you say, okay, I want to take JT or CMC.
25:38And then in the second round, I'm going to swing around because I'm picking in the back half of the second round.
25:45I'm going to swing around, and I'm going to get what would probably be like – you would have guys like Trevor Lawrence available.
25:53Let me see. Superflex ADP is – actually, yeah, let me look at Superflex ADP.
25:57It varies because it depends on the league. But who is there?
26:01No, this is definitely not accurate. Oh, yeah, no, this Superflex ADP is not accurate.
26:06I'm not even going to read it to you guys.
26:09This is blatantly not Superflex ADP accurate, right? But realistically, like in my mind, if I'm imagining most likely scenario, most likely
26:16scenario when you're coming around there, you might have a Justin Herbert, a Trevor Lawrence that you could go with.
26:23A Bo Nix, I think, is an appropriate round two QB.
26:26Maybe Dak Prescott is one that would be there as well.
26:30And it would probably tail end of round two come to like a Brock Purdy, right?
26:35Those would be your appropriate – you know, you take a running back or a wide receiver high-end option in the first,
26:42and you have to swing around in the second and grab one of the low-end QB1s, which is very appropriate for round two.
26:49So that is – that's my preference. Now, after you grab your QB1, here's where I think you can be flexible.
26:56You don't have to immediately, immediately get that QB2.
26:59Like, if you're looking at the board and your QB2 that you're staring down is Patrick Mahomes and you're worried about like,
27:06it's not an ideal target for me just because of the mobility questions that we will have, the increased usage perhaps of
27:13Kenneth Walker, particularly at the goal line, maybe limiting some of that touchdown upside and definitely seeing less rushing from him.
27:20Especially because Patrick Mahomes himself said – and this is not speculation – Patrick Mahomes himself specifically said he ran more than he ideally should have last season.
27:29And a lot of that was predicated on the time frame earlier in the season when Rasheed Rice was out.
27:36So he was compensating because he didn't have very good receivers, unfortunately.
27:39The backups just weren't doing – the backups were doing backup things, right?
27:44So in a perfect world, they can lean more on Kenneth Walker and not have to overload using Patrick Mahomes on the ground coming off of that injury.
27:53So he would not be my ideal target. So if there was a QB run and you're looking at the third round
28:00and you're staring down Patrick Mahomes, I wouldn't necessarily go that direction because you could push it back around.
28:06And again, it depends on how – Superflex depends a lot on how your league personally values quarterbacks.
28:12But you start looking – once you start seeing guys like Jared Goff coming off the board, you look and say, okay,
28:19do I grab a Kyler Murray here? Do I grab a – I'm back on Jordan Love, people.
28:24I was anti-Jordan Love this offseason, but the injury – or not the injury – the removal of Josh Jacobs could force
28:32– now we could see, hey, they could shift.
28:34They could keep the run volume the exact same and just decide that they want to push it towards the running backs,
28:42Marshawn Lloyd, or just maybe make it a committee.
28:44But what they could do is go back to the way that they were before Josh Jacobs, and that was when Jordan
28:51Love was incredible, fantastic from a fantasy perspective, and had high upside because he had more pass volume and a little bit more upside on the ground too.
29:00So with this Josh Jacobs thing, we could get a better version of Jordan Love, the version that originally made us feel
29:08comfortable with him as a QB one. So I'm pro.
29:11I'm back on the Jordan Love train. I think that he's a fine target.
29:15Malik Baker, if you need to. Malik Willis, Tyler Shuck are all fine targets as well.
29:20So those are things that I could do in terms of saying I'm going to go great with Josh Allen through Jalen
29:28Hurts, I think is still a safe option, right, because of the tush push.
29:32So I'm going to go great all the way up through Jalen Hurts, and then I'm going to push back and go with one of these low-end options.
29:41Or again, I come around in the second, grab me my Trevor Lawrence or whatnot, and then I push back a little bit more as well.
29:49So I think Superflex is really interesting this season because you don't have to go QB back-to-back in the first couple of rounds.
29:57You can invest in those high-end options at other positions and really differentiate yourself like that.
30:02Take a little bit of risk. Push back to that range.
30:06Because of Malik Willis, if he plays the entire season with his rushing upside, he's going to give you QB1 numbers, he just is.
30:13It's just a risk of, you know, hey, do things go sideways?
30:17And they pull him. But technically speaking, they just got rid of all their backup quarterbacks and had to trade for another one.
30:25So they clearly did not like what was behind him.
30:28So I don't know if that's really a massive risk.
30:31I'm going to do a little more rapid fire to catch up because I realize those were all the beginning of the show questions.
30:39So jumping back here into the chat, from B Stewart, how to draft Sunday night.
30:43And just before I saw the news, oh no, just before you saw the news on Josh Jacobs.
30:49Good, good, good. And you drafted Marshawn Lloyd. Hope he's a league winner.
30:53Perfect. I actually had a team that I drafted back in July.
30:57I just looked at the roster. I hadn't looked at it because waivers will run next week.
31:03So I wasn't like looking at it at all.
31:06I opened up the app and I saw I have Marshawn Lloyd.
31:10I was like, girl, what were you thinking? You were really in your bag on that one.
31:15And that was, um, it was after the, the Josh Jacobs first news.
31:19But at that point there were no charges and we weren't thinking there was going to be anything.
31:25So I drafted him well above ADP on that one.
31:28I guess I just had an inkling like, hey, maybe, uh, from Chibing.
31:32It says, Chibing says, good evening. Oh, we got the haze there from Chibing.
31:37Grim Reaper in the chat. Jay Slay says, got one more draft.
31:41Monday night home league. Nice. Let me know how it goes.
31:44John says, which dealer running back should I be targeting Rico or Warren?
31:49I have Warren by a smidge, but I do genuinely think that it might be a very annoying split between the two,
31:56but at least between the two, Warren should have the edge in terms of receiving work out of the backfield.
32:02Aaron Rodgers checkdowns will not be as egregious as they were last year.
32:06Um, and the reason for that is Rogers checked down a lot to a stupid level last year because he hated his
32:13receivers that were not named DK Metcalf. The receiving core is much better with Michael Pittman added in there.
32:19Jeremy Bernard has been, um, had a lot of positive reviews.
32:23So I don't think it's going to be the same.
32:26Uh, we got to check down 5 million times to the running backs, but I still want the one that would have
32:33the edge in terms of, uh, pass catching upside.
32:36Rico can catch, but Warren is the better option for a pass catcher that I think it'll play out that way.
32:43J slay FF says I got the 11th pick.
32:46I'm definitely starting RB RB. There we go. Casey Coleman says, what's up Tara?
32:50I am in a pickle. I got the third pick in standard league, 10 man league.
32:55Am I crazy to take Taylor over chase because the RB fall off is real.
33:00Yeah. And go Clemson. We need to win this weekend, please.
33:04And if we can't get a win, can we just at least not embarrass ourselves?
33:09Uh, can we just like keep it close? Can we, can we make it competitive?
33:14Yeah. Like at the very least, give me that.
33:16Let's keep it respectable people. Um, this is a really good question, Casey.
33:21It really is because the third pick in a perfect world is definitely chase, but you're right.
33:26In a standard league, the risk of running back of a running back run, even in 10 man would be extreme.
33:33I would not hate it. If you went Taylor over chase, I don't think you're crazy for it.
33:39I could probably, if I thought long and hard about it, I might get to the same place in terms of wanting
33:46to secure my high end touchdown, heavy running back.
33:49And then knowing that I've got, I don't have Jamar chases in round two, but I've got some solid options that I could double up on.
33:57So yeah, I, I, I don't think you're crazy for that.
34:00I could get there for sure. J Slay or J Slay says, what's up?
34:05Uh, Linda Blitz says, I'm in a 10 team.
34:08Lots of super flex questions. Oh, awesome. I'm in a 10 team or at least super flex leagues.
34:14I love to see more people playing in super flex leagues, especially when it's 10 team.
34:19Anytime I'm in a 10 team league, just to make it a little bit more fun.
34:24Cause people say, Oh, it's not real unless it's 12 team and this is not.
34:29No, any league is real. You just adjust the settings to make it competitive.
34:33So whatever on that one, uh, 10 team super flex PPR league picked Emmett Johnson.
34:38Should I drop him and pick up Jaden Reed, Golden or Trey Tucker?
34:42Ooh, very good question. So with the releases that we had at running back, I do feel very confident that Emmett Johnson
34:49would be the direct handcuff to Kenneth Walker. So it's just a matter of whether or not you want to release the handcuff.
34:57Do you need, do you need like, how deep is the roster?
35:01Do you need to start Reed, Golden or Tucker?
35:04If those are just guys on the bench, I might still opt to hold onto Emmett Johnson just because if he is the direct handcuff.
35:12And again, we do know that this offense wants to try to alleviate some of that rushing work that Patrick Mahomes had last season.
35:19I think I might lean towards keeping Emmett Johnson, knowing that we do always get some questionable situations there from Walker, from a injury perspective.
35:27And I know, and I don't call him injury pro and I'm not that cause it's not, he doesn't miss, he has
35:34not consistently missed a bunch of games, but it's, but it is always little nicking stuff.
35:40So just to be safe. Thank you for the super chat from JPTR28.
35:44Thank you. I appreciate that. That's a way to support the channel.
35:48You're awesome. Thank you so much. That was very generous of you.
35:52From Mike Jink, had the 105 and 12 man and started Amon Ra, St.
35:56Brown, K9, Devante Smith, Brees. I love it. You did great on that one.
36:01I think that's a good spot to take Amon Ra if you want to start off wide receiver to get Kenneth Walker
36:08and it's what do your people in your league hate Kenneth Walker?
36:12What happened there? Because I mean, I see a lot of people taking him at the turn.
36:17Am I one that would take him at the turn?
36:20No, but I'm, I'm shocked that he made it to you.
36:24So that was a steal. You made out like a bandit on that one.
36:28And you were able to grab Devante Smith and Brees Hall is a solid RB too.
36:33You killed that. That was amazing. I love that start.
36:37That's excellent. Love seeing it work out. Um, thank you so much.
36:40And thank you for the, um, and thank you for the super chats from you as well.
36:46Thank you to Mike Jink. Uh, from Henry Odom.
36:49Hey Tara, how do you feel about Kittle moving forward?
36:52I have Kincaid as a backup, but I'm wondering if I should try to trade for a higher end tight end.
36:59Thank you. I don't know how much he will play in week one, but the fact that he's not on the pop,
37:06he traveled to, um, the international game and it's within the realm of possibility that he could start.
37:12I think you're okay because at the end of the day, if Kittle is on the field playing a full snap count,
37:19he will produce the same numbers as the high end guys.
37:22So I don't think in, excuse me. And I don't think that anyone that drafted Bowers or Trey McBride would give him up.
37:30So you're still looking at putting in, going in and probably not even close in Loveland.
37:35So you're still looking at that, the Warren craft fan and tear if you were tradings.
37:40And that's really not that different from a healthy Kittle, to be honest.
37:44I would like a healthy Kittle will potentially outproduce them.
37:47It's just a matter of whether or not he can stay healthy.
37:51So that's the key there. I think you stay pat on this one because you need a backup option.
37:57Kincaid is a fine backup option. I don't want to start him, but if you need a backup, that's a solid backup option.
38:05Keep a backup option just in case, but because just because Kittle starts the season healthy, know that coming off of that
38:12injury, that is a recipe for increased risk for additional soft tissue injuries.
38:16Unfortunately, I'm no doctor, but that's what the doctors that I listen to be saying.
38:21So from that perspective, just remember that Kittle always does Kittle things, unfortunately, and misses like four-ish games here and there.
38:28That can really still happen. So just keep your backup, roll with Kittle.
38:32And you might need to roll out Kincaid week one because I just don't trust Kyle Shanahan on any level.
38:38Yeah, I would roll out Kincaid week one. Not trust Kyle Shanahan in terms of what the snap count would be.
38:45See it first, and then hopefully we can roll Kittle out in week two.
38:50From Kyle Hamilton says, hi, Tara. Only have three wide receivers, JSN, Neighbors, and Emeka.
38:54Well, you got the great ones. A lot of running backs.
38:58HN, ETN, Bucky, Harvey, Dowdle, Lloyd, you're stacked. And then you have Pitts and Kraft at tight end.
39:04Any packages to upgrade by ready death? 100%. You know, and I always say that the one that I prefer to package
39:11up, when anyone drops a list like this, the one that I prefer to package up is Bucky Irving because nine times
39:18out of 10, there is still one or two Bucky truthers in your league.
39:22I am not a massive fan, but there are people out there that are more than willing to be in the market
39:29on a bounce back on Bucky Irving. So I think that you could pair up a Bucky and depends on how risky you want to get.
39:38Tucker Kraft sounds like he's going to be. We were worried about Tucker Kraft getting that reduced workload, ramp up workload at the beginning of the season.
39:47Sounds like that's not going to happen. So perhaps he just was so far of schedule or just ahead of schedule or just they changed the plan there.
39:56So considering the way that tough Tucker Kraft had upside last year, I think I still lean towards Tucker Kraft over Kyle Pitts.
40:03So perhaps you can pair up Bucky Irving and Kyle Pitts to get.
40:07But you know what? Actually, I don't even know if you need to package, to be honest.
40:13You might want to do one for one trades because you've got legitimately three top 20 receivers.
40:18One guarantee in JSN, one if he comes out fine from the injury and Jackson Dart isn't a complete mess.
40:25We should have neighbors with his same potential top five upside.
40:28Right. And God, you know, God forbid anything happens to Jackson Dart.
40:32But if it does, it's Jameis Winston at backup quarterback.
40:35Can you imagine? They would feed generations of families to see Jameis Winston.
40:39I need to see it. I need to see it.
40:43I just like and I don't want injury for Jackson Dart, but I really on a personal level need to see games
40:50with Jameis Winston and Malik neighbors just for the lore that it would create.
40:54And then with Emeka Abuka, again, you know, injury risk there with him dealing with the toe turf, but our turf toe.
41:01But at the end of the day, he's a high upside option.
41:05So really, I don't know if you should package, but maybe try to do one for one trades.
41:11Try to see what kind of low mid flex option a type of wide receivers that you could target.
41:17For Bucky Irving and maybe pedal out of Marshawn Lloyd as well.
41:21Now that he's hot, get rid of him before.
41:24Yeah, we were actually talking. I was talking about this on a show.
41:28You could shoot high and target trading a Marshawn Lloyd for as high as a Christian Watson.
41:33I think that would be like a comp in terms of value.
41:37I think some people could theoretically go for that.
41:40So you could individually try to trade a Bucky or a Marshawn Lloyd.
41:44I don't know how much value you can get out of Kyle Pitts.
41:49But I think the approach for you would be try to, rather than packaging up, do individual trades for those guys and
41:56aim for that range of low end wide receiver two to high end wide receiver three and go out there and look
42:03for those good depth pieces that would give you upside.
42:06Yeah, I think that'll be the move for you for sure.
42:09Big Noggin in the chat. What's up? And then Kyle Hamill.
42:13Oh, you were saying it was full PPR. Yeah, I think you need volume for sure.
42:18For sure. Big Noggin says, now I got to run back out to the store because I forgot one thing.
42:25That happens to me all the time. I hate that at my core, especially because I use HEB curbside.
42:31And so I'll place an order, go get it, and then realize I got to go inside because I forgot one thing.
42:38Oops, forgot the milk for the children. Not joking.
42:41They drink a lot of milk. Leaving, stripling, a fourth rounder this weekend.
42:45No, we can't go that high. Especially if this is like a home league draft.
42:50Like, you know, maybe you've got some guys that are thinking they're super sharp and they're going to push him up.
42:56But man, I can't go that high. I mean, he's up to, last time I checked, we were, where were we at, kiddo?
43:04On stripling. Stripling, it's holding at round nine. It's dropped a couple of places.
43:08So it's not teetering up. Yay. Thank God we did not get a, we're not getting enough news out of Mike Evans to cause a ramp up there.
43:17So stripling still is a guy. I could, I could reach to round eight.
43:22I think that's perfectly fine because in round eight, the wide receivers going there are, could I take him over Alec Pierce?
43:29I think, I think I could. Alec Pierce, Michael Wilson.
43:32I would not take him over Quentin Johnson. Johnson was my boy.
43:36Courtland Sutton, I would take him over Courtland Sutton.
43:39Then it gets to Stefan Diggs and whatnot. Josh Downs, Jaden Reed.
43:43So round nine is where he's going. I think reaching to round eight is appropriate.
43:48Reaching to seven might be pushing it a little.
43:51It is a shaky wide receiver range, but I still don't think I would push it that aggressively.
43:56No, follow. I'm not in, follow Rob Thomas says, hi, Rob Thomas.
44:00No, I'm not in any guillotine leagues this year.
44:03So I don't have any particular strategy, sadly. I'm sorry.
44:06No guillotine leagues for me this season. Loving Life says, everybody focused on Jefferson, but Kyler Murray can make TJ Hawkinson a fantasy relevant tight end again.
44:15Can he do that? Possibly. My worry is that Hawkinson just might low-key be a little, but you know, it's some of
44:22that is not his, he went through, he had injury.
44:25Now, granted, I haven't looked at Hawkinson's like in detail, but I feel like it was injury, then followed up by quarterback situation.
44:33So theoretically, he could still be the older version.
44:36We just haven't had the right opportunity to see that.
44:39We know that Kyler Murray can hyper-target a tight end from a volume perspective.
44:43No touchdowns, unfortunately. The touchdown drought that he had with poor Trey McBride there.
44:48But he could give us a little bounce back.
44:51It's not, you know, tight end premium, a little deeper option.
44:54I'm not mad at it. Shout out to SteelBuild in the chat, says Houdat.
44:59Hopefully the Saints are cooking earlier this season. I've got a Scott Fishbowl Olave Tyler Shuck stack that would really like that.
45:06Good. From Jeffrey Moore, says, Hi, Tara. I'm iffy about my draft.
45:10I have A-chan and Kyron Williams. I also have Ramondre Brooks and Corum.
45:14Do I have a shot with these backs? Thanks.
45:17Yes. You're good. You're good. So one, I don't hate the strategy of Kyron and Corum.
45:22From a draft perspective, I would not. Because Corum is what?
45:25Like a round eight. It's not so bad. But it still feels like a high investment for two running backs on the same team.
45:33But it is a very unique situation where I was talking about this with someone earlier, I think last week.
45:40The thing about the Rams situation is that as long as now, granted, you know, there are caveats, but there are caveats to every team.
45:48As long as the Rams offense operates theoretically with the same efficiency that they had last season, it factually can support two RB1s.
45:55Period. Like, okay, okay, two, not RB1s, but two fantasy relevant RB1, RB2, interchanging on a weekly basis, who you can start on a weekly basis.
46:03So I don't hate having both of them on the same team.
46:07And if one of them were to go down from injury for injury, the other would be a straight up league winner.
46:14Advantageous on another level. Right? So, and I love A-chan.
46:18It's not risky. I know some people feel a certain type of way about it.
46:22But they do intend to put volume on him.
46:25And you may feel that's stupid. But not you in particular.
46:29But people kind of question when they came out talking about we're going to put so much workload on A-chan that we're
46:36going to have to carry him to the locker room.
46:39Okay, that's crazy. But I think it was just a little bit of an exaggeration.
46:44But just to make it very clear, they intend to use him.
46:48He is their lead back. This is not a, oh, we're just going to kind of, you know, have him run 10 carries and catch some pounds.
46:57No. And they have designed, like, they utilize him as a receiver.
47:00He lines up in the slot and out wide.
47:03He lines up as a receiver. We're not, we don't need check downs.
47:08Okay? This man is a receiver. It's different. So when you're looking at pass volatility and you're worried about, I've talked about
47:15a little bit before, when you're worried about Malik Willis being a running quarterback and not checking down, it's not the same
47:22thing because we're not looking for check downs from A-chan.
47:25We are looking for actual receptions as a receiving option because of where he is lining up.
47:30So from that perspective, I do think he can be the wide receiver one with the most receptions on the team.
47:37Although I have hopes for some other options, particularly Chris Bell.
47:41But upside is there for A-chan. And I always tell people that if you're worried about the Miami offense being bad, rest assured, it was bad last year.
47:50That Tua that we've seen in preseason and we are terrified to start and worried about, oh my God, poor Drake London if Tua has to start.
47:58That's the same Tua that was in Miami last year.
48:02There's no difference. That's Tua. So A-chan has been in bad offenses.
48:05We'll be okay. Follow Rob Thomas says, ooh, can we get a, yes we can.
48:10Can we get a SFB 16 temperature check heading into the start of the season?
48:15First thing I will say, the first thing that you need to do next week when waiver wires open is double check and see if Marshawn Lloyd.
48:24Ooh, you know what? My league mates watch this.
48:27Shoot. I shouldn't have said that. Check and see if Marshawn Lloyd is on waivers because he's on waivers in my league.
48:34So I plan to put in a hefty bid.
48:37So any of my league mates watching the show right now, just know you're going to have to pay up to get that sucker.
48:44I am trying to get him 100%. But great.
48:47But it is, you know, we do have the passing bonus.
48:51It's more receiver friendly, the settings this year. So perhaps people will not want to put that aggressive of a bid in for him.
48:59So we'll see. But yeah, I'm excited for SFB heading into the season.
49:03And I'm ready to see these scores boosted up by the bonuses.
49:07I'm ready to see how all of this works out.
49:10I was looking at, I look at my team.
49:13I look at that team quite a bit because I do love it.
49:17It was different for me because typically with Scott Fishbowl, I am always, I'm like, I pick a spot where I can just grab Lamar Jackson.
49:25That's my favorite, my tried and true, even though he let me down last season.
49:30I still made the playoffs. But I prefer to target a quarterback first round.
49:35But obviously things changed this year. And I decided to go heavy tight end and take advantage of the tight end premium setting.
49:42So I doubled up at tight end in the first two rounds, which is very unlike me.
49:48I typically have been more of a late round tight end streaming option, make it work.
49:53And I drafted both Trey McBride and Colston Loveland.
49:56So this is going to be a very new, scary season for me relying on tight ends.
50:01But I'm so ready to see what these new scoring settings are looking like.
50:06But again, check your waivers to see because waivers are opening up.
50:09What, like Monday, Tuesday? And then I think they run Wednesday.
50:13So make sure that you're getting those claims in.
50:16Make sure you get them in on Monday. Derek Lincoln in the chat.
50:20Oh my god, I'm behind. I'm so sorry. Okay, we're going to catch up here real quick.
50:26Because we got 10 minutes left of the show.
50:28And I'm super behind to the chat. I'm so sorry, people.
50:32Jordan Pippen says I'm about to draft a or do a draft this day.
50:36Oh, 14 team. Let me know how it goes.
50:39Ross Burst Cain says you want Wicks, not Lemon.
50:42I agree on that one. I think Wicks could be a very high upside option.
50:47Wyatt Manriquez says hello. My RB room is Gibbs, Romandre, Brooks, Menungay.
50:51Yeah, Menungay week to week. A little frustrating, right?
50:54Wide receiver room is AJ, Ladd, Abuka, DK, Michael Wilson, QJ, Burden.
50:58And what was the other one? And the, oh, Burden.
51:01Burden. Just Burden. Since I am looking for RB depth, how about Ladd and Abuka for Javante?
51:06Oh, Ladd and Abuka for Javante and Watson. I think that's very reasonable.
51:11Yeah, I think that is a very reasonable trade.
51:13I would make that. It does make me a little nervous.
51:17It would just be AJ and then it would be Christian Watson as your wide receiver too.
51:22DK's upside is a little limited. Wilson, good depth piece, maybe flex week one.
51:27QJ, I trust. Burden. Well, you've got Burden. No, never mind.
51:31You've got Burden. He was just listed at the end.
51:34Yeah, I would make that trade. You've got Burden.
51:37Yes. Leaving says Clipper's going to clip. God, I saw that punishment.
51:41That was five first round picks. That is absolutely insane.
51:44Uh, from Car, Cordell Blair. Cordell Blair. My son's name is where.
51:48Cordell Blair. Brown slash May or Pickens slash Dak stack.
51:51It's the, it's the Brown May stack for me.
51:54I don't mind the Pickens Dak stack. It is more cost effective.
51:58But the Brown May stack. I have that in Dynasty.
52:01I'm looking forward to it. 100%. Uh, let's see.
52:04Leaving says Coker late though. Yes. So as I was, that was, as I was talking about Teddero McMillan and my issues with him.
52:11And again, those issues are around the fact that, yeah, I think he's solid for a thousand yards, but if you look
52:18at everyone being drafted around and granted his ADP has fallen, I'd like to take responsibility for that.
52:24So, you know, good that we've pushed it back a little bit.
52:28But when I look at the players being drafted around him, they just have higher ceilings, right?
52:34Because they're better pass volume offenses. But Coker's value is stupid.
52:37It's a round 12 pick. And he is going to be a lot closer to Teddero McMillan in production than you would think.
52:45And you're getting a massive discount on him. So he is a great late round target for sure.
52:50I mean, just the value. Double digit round. That's like, that's a crazy gap.
52:55We're taking Teddero McMillan top 20. And then the next pass catcher, they don't use a tight end.
53:01The next pass catcher is at like wide receiver 50 something.
53:04That gap is too egregious. He should be going higher for sure.
53:08Roth says a tight will be playing out of the slot could be huge.
53:13He won't though, I don't think. The problem is, is that when we were told that he'll be playing out of the
53:20slot more, that was because of Chris Brazel being on the outside.
53:24Unfortunately, with Brazel's injury, that now throws it into a wrench where the offense is going to look exactly like it was last season.
53:31So maybe in 2027, when we can get Brazel back, we can feel more comfortable with Brazel on the outside and get
53:38that more versatility of giving more opportunities to Teddero slot.
53:42But with them having to rely on Xavier Leggett, I don't think they can afford to do it, sadly.
53:48So the Ted slot stuff was real cool, but it was very reliant on them feeling super good about Chris Brazel.
53:54I hate, that's like one of my, that's one of my angry injuries.
53:59That one really made me sad for the Panthers offense as a whole.
54:03The Panthers offense, the poor Panthers offense. And another thing is that again, which is also why Jalen Coker can benefit because
54:10he will be playing more out of the slot, is that the offensive line has dealt with so many injuries.
54:16So with the offensive line dealing with an excessive amount of injuries, might be difficult to get the ball downfield to Ted,
54:23more volume to the slot, which again will favor more than 50% of the time, Jalen Coker.
54:29So the offensive line injuries, sadly, probably going to force Bryce Young's passes to be a little bit shorter anyway.
54:35Hate that. Football is back, baby. And whether you've been betting for years, you're just looking to put a little action on the games.
54:43My bookie needs to be added to your list of places to go line shopping.
54:48We've been talking about the teams we like and don't like for months.
54:52We're in on this Jets offense more than almost anybody.
54:55And we're terrified of this Falcons offense. Even though you got Bijan, you got Kyle Pitts, you got Drake London, but you got two bad left-handed quarterbacks.
55:04And you certainly don't need to be telling some fake betting expert on social media.
55:09Go to my bookie and find the plays you already know you like and take a shot.
55:14That's what's cool about my bookie. You can find the action you want and bet it wherever you are when the game kicks off.
55:22And if you're new to the club, the bet back bonus gives you protection on your first play.
55:28Sign up with promo code PLAYER to opt into the bet back bonus and take your first shot with a safety net.
55:35If your wager loses, you get it right back.
55:38No questions asked. Football is finally here. Get in now and cash in on the season with my bookie with promo code
55:45PLAYER to get that bet back bonus. Bet on anything, anytime, anywhere.
55:49You're welcome. Tyler Rob Thomas says, favorite late round QB and why should it be Tyler Shuck with a week one mashup against the Lions?
55:57I am so excited. Like, first of all, the match, anytime I see it, we'll be looking at Lions matchups all season
56:04long because those games are hitting the over because we have, first of all, these are this, it's a really good schedule for Jared Goff.
56:12So he's going to be throwing for extreme volume.
56:15We've got Jameer Gibbs. Teams are going to be chasing points against a extremely depleted and subpar secondary and they can't run.
56:22So like that's their, that's the strength is the run defense that they're just going to be throwing on them.
56:28So yes, yes. I'm looking forward to all those Lions games and the volume we're going to be getting out of them.
56:35It's going to be so much fun. And yes, Tyler Shuck is one of my favorite late round options for sure.
56:42Got that stack in SFB and looking forward to seeing it in week one against the Lions.
56:48It's going to be beautiful. Marvin Tolbert says Algier or Samson.
56:51I do have Judkins or Sharp or Denver's Coleman or Green Bay's Brooks.
56:55Last spot. What do I do? Algier is my preference there.
56:59Algier is the one that I have ranked the highest because again, we had now granted.
57:04It sounds like the Jeremiah Love injury. He's progressing fine.
57:07So perhaps he is ready to go week one and it's not an issue, but even then, so seeing as how they
57:14got spooked on the Jeremiah Love injury, I still think that we are going to see a decent amount of Tyler Algier.
57:21And we know that Algier is the direct handcuff.
57:24Like we're not seeing James Cook at this point.
57:27We haven't seen him on the field. He's still struggling to get back from that injury.
57:32So hopefully he progresses along, but Algier is the clear handcuff there.
57:36And offense is going to be Arizona's running backs were destitute last season, unfortunately, after the injuries because they were all practice squad guys.
57:44But at the end of the day, their yards per carry and like the offensive line wasn't bad at run blocking.
57:51They put it in Jacoby Brissett is fine at checking down.
57:54So in the, you know, the offense moves, so it provides goal line opportunities and they're playing a bunch of teams.
58:01They're going to have to chase points. So I do think there's value there, which is why ultimately I'm not super scared of drafting Jeremiah Love.
58:09But Algier is my preference. Adam Ruggles says, would you trade Parker Washington for Matthew Golden and Carnell Tate?
58:15I would not. Wouldn't do it. Nope. I'm much higher on Parker Washington.
58:20The combination of those can't do it for me.
58:23I do have Parker Washington ranked higher than Carnell Tate and Matthew Golden is not enough, who I do like, Matthew Golden is not enough for me.
58:31You could also do Parker Washington for Golden Tate, Golden Tate, Lloyd in love.
58:36I assume. Wait, love as in Jeremiah Love or you're talking about like Jordan Love?
58:41If that was Jeremiah Love, that's a lopsided trade.
58:43I would make that trade for sure. If it's just a quarterback and that's Jordan Love, then essentially that's a wash for
58:51me and it would be Golden Tate and Lloyd, which is still a fine haul, right?
58:56So I could do that. If you're adding in Lloyd, I could make that trade.
59:01But yeah, Lloyd would have to be in it for sure for me to make that trade.
59:06From Chibing. Sorry if you hear my dog barking.
59:09Clearly someone is arriving home. From Chibing. Do you think the Rams will run more because of their defense?
59:15Yes. Good, good point here. Sorry to the podcast people.
59:18I cut it off because I started agreeing with it before I finished the question.
59:23Do you think the Rams will run more because their defense is excellent?
59:27Do you think Taylor and Kyron Williams is a solid one-two RB?
59:31And should I move Lloyd? I would still keep Lloyd unless you have clear roster spots and holes that you have to fill.
59:39But Taylor and Kyron is an excellent combination for sure.
59:42And I do think that that's another reason why I'm not highly concerned about Kyron and Corum because this is an offense
59:49that could easily tilt towards more volume on the ground because of the defense being excellent and the offense being excellent.
59:56The back half of those games, like second half of those games, we could definitely see the Rams leaning aggressively on the ground game.
60:03So I'm pro that combination for sure. You nailed it there in terms of concept.
60:08From DJ Stevens. Already drafted PPR league. Two running backs.
60:11Two wide receivers. One flex. Picked up Lawrence. Gibbs.
60:14Hampton. Olave. Neighbors. Warren. And Waddle. Have Breeze on my bench.
60:18Is the only RB on the bench. Got a trade offer.
60:21Hall for Garrett Wilson. I would make that trade.
60:24Yeah. I'm okay with making that trade for you.
60:27With Hall on the bench. You don't need him.
60:30You're solid at running back. Garrett Wilson is someone.
60:33He goes in that same range as Hall. And I'm very positive around Garrett Wilson for sure.
60:38Leaving says more of a Geno issue. Geno health issue for Wilson.
60:42Honestly, I like, you know, and maybe I'm a little biased, but I liked what I saw out of Cade Klubnik in preseason.
60:50I think he solidified really earning that QB2 spot.
60:53I actually have a dynasty team where I have Garrett Wilson, and I drafted Cade Klubnik late.
60:58I was like, hey, something's got to give here.
61:01Maybe I've got the future. So I was very encouraged by the way that he looked.
61:06So I'm not super concerned if Geno goes down because Cade looked very competent as a backup and on preseason, obviously is just preseason.
61:14But I liked what I saw and I love him as a prospect.
61:18And I think that it's entirely possible that what we saw in terms of subpar performances from him last season was maybe a coaching issue overall at Clemson.
61:27We'll see very soon here as we play LSU.
61:30Tootsie Bob says, hey, hey, Rachel, how you doing?
61:33Says, do you have a bunch of drafts remaining?
61:36Just one, just my family league. That is it on Sunday.
61:39Just lift D1W says trade or was answering the question there for someone else.
61:44From Kilomatrix says, Bucky Irving or Malik Neighbors week one.
61:47Good question. I'm surprised we didn't get more week one questions here.
61:51Bucky is, let's see, Bucky, Bucky, Bucky. Bucky at Cincinnati.
61:54I could lean toward, I don't, it's tough to sit Malik in any matchup, but the Giants would have to 100% confirm
62:01that he would be on a full snap count.
62:04For safety purposes, I would just go ahead and start Bucky and not deal with the headache.
62:09Jumping ahead here. Sorry, I'm catching up on comments.
62:12Convince me I made the right one. Convince me.
62:15Follow Rob Thomas said, convince me I made the right decision to take Puka as the first wide receiver off the board.
62:22But I was pro Puka all offseason and then I got spooked.
62:26But I might be unspooked considering that we had all of the multiple players go on the commissioner exempt list.
62:33So it's possible that there is no suspension or it's just a two game situation.
62:37We're this close and you would think they made the commissioner exempt decisions.
62:42You would think they would want to make, go ahead and make a suspension choice.
62:47So I don't know. I'm just still not entirely sure on that one, but it does seem like it's leaning more towards the lower end.
62:55So I think it's still okay to take that risk.
62:58I don't, I don't mind it at all. I don't mind it at all.
63:02Holly or Holy Inspiration says Lloyd is a RB2 while Jacobs is out.
63:06Yes. And he could be more than that. He could honestly be.
63:10We just haven't seen him and we don't have the only reason why if, if this was any other situation, like, like
63:17if this was, let's say Kyron Williams and Blake Corum, Blake Corum would immediately shoot up to being a top 12 back 100%.
63:25But because we have not physically seen Lloyd for an extended period of time during the regular season, we can't have the
63:32confidence to be drafting him that high. So, and because we technically don't need, we don't know if they'll go committee.
63:39We don't, there's a lot of factors here. So that's why his draft spot is more appropriate for in like round six,
63:46but he is a strong candidate to play as an RB2 while Jacobs is out.
63:51For sure. Uh, turn Ferguson says rate my team 10 team draft CD lamb, Barkley, Chase Brown, Garrett Wilson, Bucky neighbors, Godwin, ETN, burden, Harrison Jr.
63:59Lawrence, Strange, Boswell, and Niners. I love, um, your little stack there of, um, oh, wait, wait, wait, did I, am I tripping or it's not?
64:07No, no, no. I thought for a second, I thought that you had a stack with Trevor Lawrence, but regardless, I love
64:14Trevor Lawrence as I actually love Trevor Lawrence specific in general.
64:18Right. But especially when it comes to 10 team leagues, because that's where you can play chicken with where Lawrence is going
64:25with those back, you know, those back in, uh, QB ones where you can play chicken and push it back further.
64:32Just because a lot of your league mates might not be taking an immediate QB to push it back far enough and
64:39you can still get really good value on a guy like Trevor Lawrence.
64:43So yeah, that combination of early round of CD Barkley, Chase Brown, Garrett Wilson.
64:48I love that neighbors as well. I mean, yeah.
64:50And ETN, I love this draft for you. I would rate it a nine out of 10.
64:56I would give you an A. I would give you an A.
65:00Follow Rob Thomas says pick five in a 12 team league, three wide receiver.
65:04You went, ah, you went with, hmm, pick five, 12 team, three wide receiver, super flex.
65:09I went with, uh, Puka and, oh, you went with Puka and Daniel.
65:14So three wide receiver there pushed, uh, was it, I wonder if it was, it was it a people not believing in
65:21Daniels or was it that the three wide receivers pushed it back a little bit further?
65:26So you were able to grab Daniels in the second.
65:29That's really good. I like that a lot. Dion Polk says, Hey Tara, do you feel Kalon Black is a good handcuff?
65:36I do think it's Jordan James. Now Kalon Black got the opportunity while Jordan James was dealing with the injury.
65:43But ultimately I do think it should theoretically go back to Jordan James.
65:47I'm not aggressively prioritizing it as a handcuff because at the end of the day, it could be committee.
65:53And quite frankly, we've had this little nasty streak of like when CMC went down before every single running back backup option started to go down as well.
66:02So I don't push it like aggressively up in terms of ADP, but Jordan James is my preference.
66:08Miles Logan says, What do you think about Bo Nix's QB1?
66:11I'm 100% okay with pushing quarterback back a little bit and targeting Bo Nix as your QB1.
66:17I feel very safe with that. Very safe. 100%.
66:20Leaving says, Confident with CJ Stroud as my QB2 and super flex.
66:23You know, the one thing that I will say is that job security is a luxury.
66:29And while I know sometimes people get a little funny and say, Hey, you know, CJ Stroud could suck and then Davis Mills comes in.
66:37Reality is, is that once you get to like the those back end guys, you get into a lot of job security issues.
66:44We're like on a weekly basis, Jacoby has higher upside.
66:47Jacoby Brissett has higher upside than CJ Stroud because of pure volume.
66:51But he doesn't have job security because at some point we got to see Carson back.
66:56We don't have the same thing with Stroud. So at least you have a guaranteed QB2.
67:01Is he a high upside play? No, but he's a play.
67:05Big Noggin says, Hey, quick question. Does your content always upload to the player profiler network?
67:10Yes, specifically to the player profiler plus one. In theory, it should go on the player be uploaded onto the player profiler
67:17network main channel, but I low key forget. I low key forget to do that, unfortunately.
67:22But if you yeah, contact me after and we can work it out because I definitely forget to do that 100%.
67:29Not going to lie. I should be doing it, but because it's not automatic, it doesn't happen, unfortunately.
67:35From Mike Cenk, ideal start from the 110 and 12 team league.
67:39In that location, I'm still going running back. That's still a location like you could get Jefferson there theoretically, but I think
67:46that's a perfectly fine spot to still go RB RB and get a solid two top 12 running backs from that location.
67:53From Chubbing, hey, chat, do you think this trade is a low ball?
67:57Jacob's owner has Gibbs in no solid RB too.
68:00I was thinking of sending Taylor and Lloyd for his backup RB.
68:04Wait, Taylor or which Taylor? Which Taylor? Specify that on that one because I'm a wee bit confused here.
68:10Shout out to JPTR2A in the chat says, I'm returning champ.
68:14And thanks again for your advice. I have the eighth pick looking to go robust RB and can't decide on Herbert or Lawrence thoughts.
68:21They're interchangeable for me. I love them both. I do have a preference towards if you're going like the highest, but most
68:28bang for your buck, get you Lawrence because people will reach on Herbert.
68:33But Lawrence has the higher upside for me because I think he retains the rushing upside.
68:38But they're like, they're back to back for me.
68:41I love them both as a target. But theoretically, I prefer Trevor Lawrence.
68:45Leaving says Walker gets hurt. The only answer is Kareem Hunt.
68:48They could not. I think I think that Detroit is going to sign Kareem Hunt.
68:53I think they have to. I don't understand who else they trust on roster right now.
68:58We'll see. Leaving also makes a comment that's a really good one to point out that you can also just pick up
69:05Kittle if I'm sorry, pick up Tondas if Kittle doesn't play.
69:09Got a super chat here from Cynthia says, I will be in a 10 team PPR.
69:14Which wide receiver should I target? Depends on where you're picking.
69:18If you are picking in the first half, you do need to prioritize getting now after you get running backs first.
69:24Right. But if you're picking in the first half, you can prioritize getting Jamar Chase, Pukinikua, Jason, Amonra.
69:30After that, I don't think you have to take a wide receiver in the first round in a 10 team league.
69:37We talked a little earlier about how there's a very nice pocket, in my opinion, that I really like in.
69:43Let's see. Where does it start? Hi, Olave is at, there's a really nice pocket.
69:48This is 12 team ADP, but I guess I could theoretically do the math in 10 team.
69:54It would still be, it would be late round three.
69:57Yeah. Mid to late round three. Chris Olave starts off this really nice pocket of wide receivers that you can get in round three, four range.
70:05And maybe five and 10 team PPR of guys like Chris Olave, Devontae Smith, Zay Flowers, Tee Flowers, Tee Flowers.
70:12Tee Higgins. There's Jalen Waddell. Garrett Wilson is one of my preferred options.
70:16So my guys are Chris Olave, Devontae Smith, Tee Flowers.
70:19Garrett Wilson. Vlad McConkie is a fine pick. So I think you can, you know, if you can get your RB locked
70:26in, your RB1 locked in early, unless you have the option to get one of those top four wide receivers.
70:33Push it back and invest in that range of wide receivers.
70:36Hit it, hit it hard, get a couple of them, and that'll work out perfectly for you, for sure.
70:42Thank you for the super chat, Cynthia. I appreciate it.
70:45Jumping back to the chat here. Oh, Uncle Ted says, Emmanuel Wilson is this year's Javante Williams.
70:51I think this year's Javante Williams for me is Ja'Cory Krosky-Meritt.
70:55It's raining outside. I just realized that it's raining.
70:57I can now hear it in the background, which is interesting because I'm in Houston.
71:02We were supposed to get that little tropical storm, but it didn't happen.
71:06So why is it raining now? I should have paid attention to the weather.
71:11Uncle Ted says, Jerry Judy with Watson back, wide receiver one, upside like 2024.
71:15Now, I just, from a talent perspective. So first of all, I do think for, because Deshaun Watson is him, and Jerry
71:23Judy has been hyping him up endlessly as his quarterback.
71:26His quarterback. I do think that Watson will potentially hyper-target Judy a little more than he should with the talent of Casey
71:33Concepcion and Denzel Boston being far better receivers than Jerry Judy.
71:36But perhaps he goes back to what is, you know, he leans on.
71:41But I don't think Deshaun Watson will start for that long.
71:44I don't think that he will start the entire season.
71:47So I would not lean on that connection. Ultimately, I would by far target Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston with Concepcion being
71:54the preference because of the fact that he'll play in the slot and have more volume potential.
72:00So that is my preference for sure. Let's see here.
72:03Jumping back to the chat. Chat. Let's, yeah, we're almost caught up.
72:07We're almost, no, we're not. Oh my gosh. Okay, I'm sorry, guys.
72:11I do have to wrap up. I'll try and pick and rapid fire a few of these.
72:16But I 100% think, again, on those Uncle Ted, the rookies.
72:20The rookies, the rookies for sure. Target them in Cleveland.
72:23From Mannix, pick two between Brooks, Mason, and Golden.
72:26Brooks and Mason. Brooks, for the upside of potentially taking over as the RB1.
72:30And Mason, even with Aaron Jones being there again, I think we're at the fall off point, unfortunately.
72:36So Mason is my preference. Although I do like Matthew Golden a lot.
72:40But I do have it ranked in that order.
72:43Linda Wells says, I know you're a Green Bay fan.
72:47Sorry for your loss. But I'm glad you're loving love again.
72:50Yes. He could be a late round. Our waiver wire depth piece for sure.
72:55100%. Vulcan or Voltron comedy, we don't know on Jinty yet.
72:58Not, not. I lean toward it. Seems like his lean is more of a yes.
73:03But we don't know 100% yet. Jumping to the chat here again.
73:07How's, how's it feel? Says PPR, A-chan or Hampton.
73:10It's A-chan for me. I like Hampton a lot.
73:13But I'm very, very pro-A-chan. I've done, I can, if you look at my YouTube channel for general like running back videos,
73:20I think I do have a lot of A-chan propaganda for you in terms of the explanation.
73:25B Stewart says, reached on stripling round seven. Didn't see him go, didn't want to see him go to someone else in 14 team.
73:33It's 14 team. So round seven is super appropriate.
73:36That's fine. I don't have a problem with that in 14 team.
73:40Especially because you have to read, like I posted a pick in 14 team and someone was like, that's a reach.
73:46And I'm like, no, it's not. Because once you start getting, get into that, and if you're picking on the turn, your
73:53guy will not make it back for you. You have to reach.
73:57That is 100% okay. So I, I'm cool with that in 14 team.
74:02Not, not a big issue for sure. Killamex, uh, Killamatrix says Debo Samuel is higher than stripling.
74:07Purdy has no chemistry with stripling yet. I, you know, I don't think Purdy is a player that has to have chemistry with someone.
74:15I think that for the system, he can spread it around to whoever, and he has had ample of ample situations of
74:22having to deal with targeting a wide variety of different options because of the injuries they've had to deal with.
74:28Debo, I think is a fairly safe pick, but ultimately the higher upside option I do.
74:33If there's one that could be the higher upside option, it really should be stripling for sure.
74:39Debo can get volume, but I would still lean towards the younger guy.
74:43Back in the chat, uh, Killametric says, how often will the Dolphins be in the red zone though?
74:49It doesn't matter. Um, and I wish I, I gotta tell you which exactly video it was, but there is one video
74:56where I talked about the red zone usage for A-chan.
74:59And the red zone usage for A-chan is not where his fantasy points come from.
75:04Like, we're not looking for goal line touches from him.
75:07We're not looking for, we're not even looking for red zone carries for him.
75:12His points come off of pure volume. Red zone, it's not an issue whatsoever.
75:16Like, uh, I, it's one of the videos I wish I could remember off the top of my head, but I give
75:23you the exact specific red zone stats and compare it.
75:27But you can also go and look at red zone stats yourself and see that he was not making his money off
75:34of red zone looks last season, unfortunately. So I don't think it's going to matter because that's not where it was coming from to begin with.
75:42Miles Logan says, is Jamison Williams a good pickup at wide receiver?
75:46I love him at wide receiver three. I know people are uncomfortable and even with wide receiver two.
75:52Yes. I know people are uncomfortable with it, but I promise you go look at the lion schedule in general.
75:58It is fantastic. Every single game in the back after their bi-week, it is just a plethora of domes and warm weather games.
76:05It's beautiful. The only issue that you will have is championship week in Chicago.
76:10That is, that is what it is, but it's not that deep, right?
76:14So take advantage of all of the upside that you will have to offer.
76:19This could be a stupid high volume year for Jared Goff.
76:22Stupid high. Um, let's see here. Do we have any more?
76:26Thank you for all the positive comments, guys. I do have to get out here.
76:31You hear this dog barking. I'm now wondering if there's something that I need to address, but there's rain.
76:37So it could look like he gets spooked when there's like, oh, he hates the rain.
76:42That's right. He gets very scared of the rain.
76:45So he might be panicking right now. So I probably should go for sure.
76:49I appreciate it so, so much. I will say, Brian, I see your comment.
76:54Let's do that one real quick and then we'll close things out.
76:58Brian Wynn says, love your show. Watch your, oh, watch your videos every couple of days.
77:03You're the best analyst. I appreciate that so much.
77:06So we all know JT will go crazy this season.
77:09But how do you feel about Daniel Jones, Josh Downs and Alec Pierce?
77:13I felt a lot better before the Keenan Allen signing, even though he was seen stumbling around in his drunken state.
77:20But, uh, and it's not to say that you should not fall back on the pass catchers because of the Keenan Allen signing.
77:27They needed depth. When you're staring down the possibility of Nick Wick, Nick Westbrook-Akine being your wide receiver two in week one, you need to rethink things.
77:36So I know, I understand that was a good move for them.
77:40100%. I feel good about Daniel Jones as a last resort.
77:43If something goes sideways, last resort, a QB three and super flex is my ideal, but last resort, something goes wrong.
77:50There was a quarterback run. You don't know what to do.
77:54Then you can look at Daniel Jones. I wouldn't do it as an outright target just because of the risk of him coming off the Achilles.
78:02But in general, I don't mind taking advantage of that ADP for sure, because we know that again, now he makes a
78:09lot of money from a fantasy perspective off of that little rushing upside.
78:13So that's the only issue, right? If this was, if he gets back to 100% being himself and he can add in
78:20that rushing value, I would feel a lot more better about it.
78:24But I still appreciate what he does and think he will provide plenty of volume through the air towards the wide receivers.
78:31It's whittled down towards, you know, Tyler Warren, Josh Downs and Alec Pierce with a little bit of Michael Pittman on the side.
78:39I am pro taking advantage of the ADP slips for Josh Downs and Alec Pierce.
78:44I don't would not love to target them as options that I have to start as a wide receiver to a low in flex option.
78:52Ideally guys that you would have your drafting to have on your bench in your typical league, right?
78:57And deeper leagues, flex option. So I'm, I'm pro.
79:00I'm just a little bit apprehensive because the injury concerns with Alec Pierce, like just makes me a little bit nervous.
79:07So again, bench option. Don't target as a starter because I'm surprised he didn't even go on the pop.
79:13Like I was very, very concerned that this man would not be available because his injury recovery was going so much slower than everyone else.
79:21And I do really like Josh Downs still again, the Keenan Allen thing is a bummer, but it made the ADP come down.
79:29So that's okay. But he should benefit significantly from the exit of Michael Pittman.
79:33So we're pro the ADP has dropped enough to where they're not massive risk and they're more bench assets for you.
79:40But that wraps things up guys. I appreciate you all tuning in.
79:44I do have to head out. Thank you so much as a reminder.

82:17And we're terrified of this Falcons offense. Even though you got Bijon, you got Kyle Pitts, you got Drake London.
82:23But you got two bad left-handed quarterbacks. And you certainly don't need to be tailing some fake betting expert on social media.
82:30Go to my bookie and find the plays you already know you like and take a shot.
