0:39My lips are sealed. Marvel Television's Wonder Man. All eight episodes now streaming.
0:43Only on Disney+. What is good? We're back. And we've got some real rookie drafts for your pleasure.
0:49FFD won. One of the original FFD leagues just did their draft.
0:52It is Superflex PPR. No tight end premium. And then we are in the middle of FFD 5, which is Superflex.
0:59And one point tight end premium. So we got two going.
1:02One's almost done. The other one's in about the third round.
1:05But we wanted to talk about both today and see a little bit of the differences through the mocks.
1:11Because, you know, in going through this process, I had some early and now you'll have some now.
1:17And then I have some, you know, in August.
1:19You know, where guys go will obviously change. But there's not a lot of continuity here through, like, a lot of the
1:26same guys go in the second round. But they're in their mixed up order.
1:30More mixed up than maybe usual. And even into the mid, you know, even into the third.
1:36So we're going to look at a non-premium draft here to start.
1:39FFD1 is in the books. Like I said, Superflex.
1:42This one is non-tight end premium. I'm not in this league.
1:45There's another one that is before this one that I'm in.
1:49And I didn't hop in an FFD1. And then, Shev, you just took over a team in this one that wasn't very good.
1:56So we'll talk about that, where you took that over, some moves that you made here.
2:01But, Shev, how you doing, man, before we kick this off?
2:04Hey, man, we get to talk about mock drafts on this side of the dirt.
2:08Real drafts, not even a mock draft. Real drafts.
2:11Oh, my bad. My bad. So the idea was mock drafts.
2:15And then we got pretty far along into both of these.
2:18So it was like, let's just talk about these.
2:21And maybe you guys will think it's cool. Maybe you guys, hey, tell me in the comments.
2:26I'm not going to use my, actually, I'm going to use my hands a whole bunch.
2:31Do a bunch of new questions. Tell me I'm an idiot for some of the moves I made.
2:36Or just leave your opinion about, because I did a bunch of stuff, because this team needed some tender love and Shevin.
2:43And so, yeah. Yeah, that's the great thing about this, is everybody goes about things a little differently.
2:48But, you know, I'm sure, bro, let me get in that league, bro.
2:52Let's just, bro, let me get in that league.
2:55All right, man, settle down. Get in the comments.
2:58Let us know what's up. All right, let's kick this first one off here, and then we'll move to the full point
3:04tight end premium that's in the third round. So here we're going.
3:08Pick number one was Jordan Love. Or, yeah, Jordan Love, sorry.
3:11Pick number one was Jeremiah Love, naturally. Pick number two, Fernando Mendoza.
3:15Pick number three, which was where Shev was at.
3:18He had, of course, Carnell Tate. If you're picking there, that's who you're going with.
3:22Then you're going Jordan Tyson at four. Jadarian Price at five.
3:26Makai Lemon at six. Then KC at seven. We had Sadiq at eight.
3:30Singleton at 109. 109, the single biggest blunder, I think, of this draft as I'm looking at it here.
3:36Then we had Denzel Boston at 10. Omar Cooper at 11.
3:39And Eli Stowers to round out the first round.
3:42And we'll jump right into the second round, and then I'll double back on Shev and kind of see some moves that he made.
3:49We had Ty Simpson going at 201. We had Jonah Coleman at the 202.
3:53Antonio Williams at the 203. Chris Bell at the 24.
3:5624. Then 25. We got Teddy Pendergrass Hurst. If you don't know him by now, you might never know.
4:02Turn on the lights and see if we're back, baby.
4:05So pretty, you know, all that's fairly standard through there.
4:08You might jumble it up a little bit, but from what I've seen so far and mocks and ADP, that's right on track.
4:15Then you had a 2-6 Carson Beck. Hate that.
4:18Don't like that at all. I'm fine with taking Carson Beck, but to me it's got to be 12 or into the third.
4:25Now, it's going to be Brissette. Not at camp right now.
4:28I guess maybe trying to get a little bit of money, but I don't think, I don't love that pick right there.
4:35Could be completely wrong, but not my favorite. Then we had Bernard at 2-7 and Stribbling at 2-0-8.
4:40You know, I'd like to see those guys maybe a little earlier.
4:44Then Emmitt Johnson at 2-9. Zachariah Branch at 2-10.
4:47Then Brazel at 2-11. And then Surratt rounds out round two.
4:50So, Shev, you took this team over. If you're looking at this board, there's obviously an active league.
4:56There's trades all over the place. Half the rounds, original owners don't have their picks, and I'm sure they've probably changed hands more than once.
5:03But you took this team over. It was a boo-boo team.
5:07What were some of your thought processes and moves that you made here?
5:10Yeah, let's kick it off. Let's not stand on ceremony here.
5:14So, I had the 1-3. This obviously didn't go well for the previous owner.
5:18And we had to pick a direction. Like, are we going to – we had some really old pieces.
5:24We had Devontae Adams and Saquon Barkley. Some win-now pieces.
5:27But I didn't have a quarterback two. Tua Tagovailoa is my quarterback two as it stands.
5:32And there was some – you know, I went and looked at our roster review, and I was like, oh, well, yeah.
5:38Compared to what everybody else has got going on, and I don't like what I have going on.
5:44So, I traded – I started out, I traded Jalen Waddle.
5:47I had – so, just the roster in general, for those of you wondering.
5:52The key pieces, CeeDee Lamb, Trevor Lawrence, Luther Burden, Zay Flowers, Roma Doonze, Jameson Williams, Jalen Waddle.
5:57Key pieces – this is all our roster review, by the way.
6:00And my win-now piece, Saquon Barkley. And then – oh, thanks for doing that, Casey.
6:05And then over here, I've just got a glut of lottery tickets between Jaden Reed, Alec Pierce, Blake Corum, and then just dead weight down here.
6:13I mean, Pat Fryer – it's no premium. So, I mean, what am I rostering Pat Fryer-Muth for?
6:18Like, if he's not doing anything for a win-now.
6:21I mean, it can help. Right, right. But it's not doing anything.
6:25I like Fryer-Muth, and in these positions, I'm like – the tight end's the last thing I'm typically going to address in
6:31a non-premium situation for the most part, unless I'm getting good deals on him.
6:36So – Exactly. So, and then, as you can see here, this is just – I mean, Tua could be starting in Atlanta, maybe, potentially, possibly.
6:44But all that said, I wanted to – I wanted to pick a clear direction.
6:48So, the first move I made was I traded Jalen Waddle and Roma Doonze for Marv, Marvin Harrison, a first and a second.
6:55First in 2026, second in 2027. And I was – all right, we're off to a good start.
7:01So, with those two picks, I took Carnell Tate and KC Concepcion.
7:04And I felt really, really, really good about that.
7:07But I made another move later in the draft that I don't really – I know I feel good about it, but
7:14I don't know how – I'm really curious to see how you and how everybody else feel about it.
7:20All right. What was that move? Oh, it was then trading Marv for Parker Washington, 22, 27, and 32.
7:25And 22. And 22, that turned into Jonah Coleman.
7:2827, that's Jeremy Bernard. And then 32 was Katron Allen.
7:31So, you know, you went from some older guys.
7:34You picked up Marv. Then you moved Marv again for Parker Washington, who you really like.
7:39Essentially, like, you just traded Marv for a bunch of seconds and a third because Parker Washington's value right now probably lands
7:45on the front half of the second round if you were equating him in rookie picks, I would say.
7:51Only if you're trying to acquire – like, if you have Parker Washington.
7:55Right. If you're trying to acquire – Mark is probably not there.
7:59People are – people will tell you, like, well, I turned down an early second for Parker Washington.
8:04Right. Right. Yeah. So, you know, hey, you take Marv.
8:07Look, Marv could be a superstar and end up being a cornerstone for your team.
8:12But right now you need a little bit more diversification and more bullets in the chamber to kind of kickstart this rebuild.
8:19You have a couple of pieces, like you mentioned, that are solid and you know they're very good.
8:24Maybe as time goes on, you diversify those. But, you know, generally you're just trying to get some bullets, some lottery tickets.
8:31And these guys that you picked are all, you know, solid bets.
8:34I like Jeremy Bernard. I like Jonah Coleman. K-Tron Allen's got a really good chance to turn a profit.
8:40Yeah, and that's – those are the picks that I traded for.
8:44Right. I drafted the two, three I went Antonio Williams.
8:47Antonio Williams, right. Yeah. So, you know, you just – you basically just took four shots at, like, a bunch of second
8:54rounders with – and Parker Washington being one of them.
8:57Right? Yes. So, I like that just to try to rebalance out the team and the situation.
9:02Sometimes it really hurts to do that. But you got to find a way to just restock the shelves a little bit
9:09so you have something to work with. Right? And if those values of any of those other guys start to just go
9:15up a little bit, now you're back in the market of being able to – you're just giving yourself so much more
9:22options than putting all your eggs in one basket when you're rebuilding.
9:26No one goes to Hank's for his spreadsheets. They go for a darn good pizza.
9:30Lately, though, the shop's been quiet. So, Hank decides to bring back the $1 slice.
9:35He asks Copilot in Microsoft Excel to look at his sales and costs to help him see if he can afford it.
9:41Copilot shows Hank where the money's going and which little extras make the dollar slice work.
9:46Now Hank's has a line out the door. Hank makes the pizza.
9:50Copilot handles the spreadsheets. Learn more at m365copilot.com slash work.
9:53You thought this was your run club era. Turns out, it was more of a thinking about run club era.
9:59The good news? Someone's marathon training is about to start.
10:02Sell your workout gear on Depop. Just snap a few photos and we'll take care of the rest.
10:08They get their race day fit and you get a payout for trying.
10:12Someone on Depop wants what you've got. Start selling now.
10:15Depop. Where taste recognizes taste. Yeah. Like the other trade that I made was Saquon.
10:19Saquon and Devontae Adams for the 110 where I took Denzel Boston and Jordan Addison.
10:24So trying to get the overall age of this team down and younger while removing points from my lineup that could cost me an early 2027 pick.
10:32So now I don't have any running back points besides Blake Corum that I'm counting on or that will be in my
10:39lineup and actually scoring points, thus giving me an opportunity to ethically tank.
10:43Right. And I could trade some of those picks.
10:45I mean, I could trade some of those players for more picks.
10:49Right. So that's the other part. You know, when you're going into this situation, you want to try to do the best
10:56that you can ethically, like you're saying, of not scoring as many points as possible.
11:00You already mentioned that two is your second best quarterback right now, which generally like, you know, I'd give you a third for two of it.
11:08I'm not going to do anything else. And I'm probably more on two than anybody else or a lot of other people.
11:15Right. And, you know, a Penix owner might, you know, maybe give you a back end second or something for a two of them right now.
11:23Assets not great, but you're just going to hang on to two unless somebody is going to give you value for them.
11:29And then Trevor's your only other quarterback. So you're probably most likely going to not be starting a super flex quarterback, which
11:36is kind of ideal if you're trying to ethically tank and turn this thing around and be in the first four of
11:4327, just by with your own pick. So I like that.
11:46I like, I like where you're heading there. Let's jump into this third round that kicks off with Drew Aller.
11:52Then Katron Allen. That was in the trade that we just talked about.
11:56We had Washington going at three, three. That was from big co.
12:00So then you came back in here at three, four.
12:03Was that something you already had? I traded into, I traded into that pick too.
12:08Yeah, I'm 90% sure. I know that's a year guy.
12:11You took Brennan Thompson there, which is again, also a good rebuilder.
12:14Cause it's like, I'm not expecting instant gratification from that pick.
12:18This is a long-term hold of, you know, getting, maybe seeing a couple of spike weeks here and there this week, and
12:24then maybe working into more of a role potentially as maybe Quentin Johnston goes elsewhere or something along those lines.
12:30So I like that. Then Malachi fields at three, five Jacoby lane at three, six black at three, seven Skylar bell at three, eight.
12:38So still some really, really solid values through the third.
12:41Claiborne at three, nine Adam Randall at three, 10 Max Claire.
12:44Again, this is not a premium and Eli Raritan goes at three, 12 to close it out.
12:49So two tight ends at the end there in the third and the fourth round, Joe Lee kicks it off at four Oh one.
12:57We had club Nick at four Oh two. That's a terrible pick.
13:00I just hate club Nick. Caleb Douglas goes up.
13:03Give me drew our all day long, but he already, he already went.
13:07But I don't, I don't like get out of here with club Nick.
13:11He stinks. Caleb Douglas at four, three. That was you.
13:14I liked that pick. That's that's like, give me that fourth round pick.
13:18I don't know whether or not you have to a day to pick that's available in the fourth round with, with no solidified target competition.
13:25Right. We don't know what the pecking order of the targets is right now.
13:30It's Delsifer Malik Washington. Right. Malik Washington, kind of a sneaky, sneaky potential guy who could end up with a lot of targets.
13:37It could be nothing again. And maybe, but Caleb Douglas or Chris Bell, you know, we don't know.
13:42And that's dude, I want to shot. I'm he's somebody who I'm, I'm trading picks for, um, right now.
13:48Like, you know, how can I get back into this fourth for fairly cheap?
13:52And a lot of people will be like, Oh, there's a, if I can get 27 or 28 late picks for a
13:59fourth round pick in this one, people are, are going to be okay with pulling the trigger there.
14:04And I'll just move those picks. I'll do the same thing next year if I need to, to get back some of those picks.
14:12So I like moving into a spot to get Caleb Douglas in the fourth round there.
14:17Bryce Lance at four Oh four. Um, who's here?
14:19We got, uh, Jamari Taylor at four Oh five trig at four six.
14:23No premium. That's a strange pick. Um, like Cyrus Allen went next, like take him.
14:28Yeah. He's a, he's a U S this is a USC guy lost bad seasons.
14:32Yeah. Yeah. So not that I'm super anti triggy.
14:35Just, you know, it's just a, well, I, a lot has to go the right way for him to make a team and be on that particular team.
14:44And yeah, you know, there's already, they've got, they've got capital and schoon maker.
14:48They've got cap. They've Ferguson's good. Yeah. Uh, there's, there's bodies that he has to over overcome in order to, uh, make the team.
14:55And then you've got to climb the target, you know, the pecking order of the target target tree.
15:01And they've got two receivers that are making over like $30 million a year.
15:05Yeah. I can't say I like that Jamari Taylor pick really either.
15:09There's probably some other ways to go there. Like I just rather throw the dart at Nussmeyer at four or five or
15:15four, four, six there, but Cyrus Allen at four, seven.
15:18I like him. I would have taken Delp even, even though it's not premium over trig and Taylor as well.
15:24Um, Nussmeyer at four Oh nine Seth McGowan at, uh, the four 10.
15:28And then we have Kevin Coleman, the other Miami Dolphin receiver at four 11 and four 12 is currently on the clock.
15:35Close this rookie draft out. So that's a real rookie draft for your pleasure.
15:39Anything else, um, you liked or didn't like in here, Chev, what was, what was some, some spots that you may have like fields felt good there?
15:48Like lane still like this, this three, the three, one, I wouldn't have taken hour there.
15:52Aller to me is needs to be more in the back half of the third or where club Nick is.
15:59Um, you know, not being premium. I'm not putting a premium on the tight ends, but I'm fine.
16:04If you want to dabble with them in the late third and the fourth, um, Skylar bell here at three Oh eight.
16:11Yeah. The Skylar bell, Jacoby lane, Malachi fields really like that slew of picks.
16:15I like DeMond Claiborne, like, like the demon, like him at three, nine, I believe it is three nine.
16:21So yeah, I mean that that's a, this is a type of value that you can have in the, in the third round.
16:28And obviously there's a reason that we're here. We can't really, nobody's really that excited.
16:32I was excited about Malachi fields. Um, but we're, you're not creating a path to superstardom with, with Malachi fields or any
16:39of these guys, but they can all, I feel like they can all play football.
16:44And they're all going to play football for a really long time.
16:47Is Jacoby lane, you know, the second coming of, you know, Michael Pittman or is he Josh Reynolds?
16:53Like you gotta give it, you gotta give him a chance to find out.
16:57Cause it could be really, really good. So right.
17:00A lot of these guys, I mean, and Kalen black, I'd be remiss if I didn't bring up the Kalen black pick right there.
17:07Yeah. So if I could go back and redo, like, I was like, ah, I should, I should have grabbed Kalen black
17:14here, but also I've clicked the book. I, we talked about this before the show started.
17:19I've clicked the button on Kalen black. So many times I've also clicked the button on Brandon Thompson a bunch of times.
17:25I was just a, it was a, it was a Brennan Thompson kind of day.
17:30Yeah. Yeah. No, I think, I think I like, I like that black.
17:34I like, like a lot of these picks in the third round.
17:37They're still good running back value. Obviously the later rounds in the Capitol affected that or, or the landing spot for Washington and is affecting that.
17:45But even somebody like Washington, I mean, in an injury away, but also it's probably going to like, just come out with a 30% share of that backfield.
17:54Right. Just automatically off the rip of Kubiak. Like I know they're talking a lot about how much they want to use Gentry and that's fine.
18:02But like, I can't see him being more than the 70%, you know, especially with Kubiak.
18:07And then they draft the okay capital on Washington.
18:09He's explosive in his own right. So it's just like, I think you're going to see him.
18:15And Katron obviously could be one of the best picks of the draft six round draft capital, but you know, that, that
18:21competition's kind of open or it could just be, Hey, it's just a big three-way split.
18:26It's going to be hard to start anybody. And then we'll see kind of what happens next year.
18:32Claiborne could have that backfield to get also by the end of the season, right?
18:36Aaron Jones could get hurt or the other guy gets hurt.
18:40We can say that for just about anybody, but there's some explosion that, that is not there with Aaron Jones maybe anymore
18:46and doesn't, and that's not what Mason is. So he's certainly interesting.
18:50I, of course I liked the stripling pick at the two Oh eight and the, and the Bernard pick at two Oh seven.
18:57I think that's good value. Um, the Beck thing pushed some stuff down.
19:01Uh, but other than that, you know, fairly, fairly, uh, routine stuff throughout the first two rounds here.
19:06Uh, anything else before we go to the premium real rookie mock?
19:10Oh yeah. Yeah. You are. I mean, you hit, you hit the high notes, so we're good.
19:15Yeah. Caleb Douglas, baby four, three. Nice, nice work.
19:18Nice work. Um, all right. Appreciate it. Let's jump over to the, uh, super flex tight end premium, but this is one point premium.
19:25So we went from none to all the premiums.
19:28Um, and just to see kind of a juxtaposition of how that goes, um, as well as, you know, just kind of
19:35seeing what, how different the first and the second round is.
19:38We're at three, four in this one. So we're not quite all the way through.
19:43So you can't see the third round. Um, but yeah, I am in this one.
19:47This is a league that we started last year as an auction.
19:51Um, and I, I took the route. We, we actually, you and I went very different directions in the start of this.
19:58Um, I went with, you know, I'm going to, I'm building for the future.
20:02I don't want to win for two years, basically.
20:05Like I'm, I'm going to just, I'm going to kick the can down the road.
20:09I'm going to try to acquire. I'm going to be a bit more like, I'm going to try to build up depth.
20:16It's a very big starting lineup. It's a very big, um, roster in general.
20:20Um, so, you know, I went with, you know, a different approach than you and you went with, Hey, I'm, I'm going
20:27all heavy hitters, no bench and trying to win this thing.
20:30Yeah. And it didn't work. So it didn't work, but you're still, I mean, you've made some good moves and you're still
20:37very much, uh, in the runnings for just about anything this year, for sure.
20:41Yeah. If everybody doesn't die on my team again, I should be good.
20:45Yeah. So this is, this is quarterback running back, running back, receiver, receiver, tight end.
20:50And then one, two, three, four flexes where you can flex anything but a super flex.
20:54So it being two point premium, you can flex the tight end in there.
20:59And then, then obviously the quarterback. So, and then there's a giant roster.
21:03Right. Um, so like I said, I'm, I'm all youth or some depth pieces that I think I can sell.
21:09Um, and, and, you know, tried to maybe concentrate a little more and more tight end in the draft, but everyone was obviously gunning for him.
21:17So I, I, you know, I came out of it with basically Warren is my tight end leader.
21:22I think you have craft. Um, so, um, without further ado, let's, let's jump into this one.
21:27We had obviously love is the one Oh one.
21:30And then we had my, I had, I was on there at the one Oh two.
21:35So I, my plan worked out. I wanted to, I want to pick at the top end in the next two years or so.
21:42So I got Mendoza there at, at the one Oh two, some consideration for Tate for sure in there.
21:48Um, but for where, like I went not heavy on quarterbacks, um, and kind of just played middle of the road quarterbacks.
21:55So my room right now is Sam Darnold, um, Michael Penix, uh, and Bryce young.
21:59Right. So not a super strong room, which just made me pushed closer to the Mendoza thing as well as Mendoza fits
22:06into, Hey, I'm trying to push for 27 picks a little better.
22:10So if he doesn't play for half the year or the whole year, that's also fine with it.
22:15Doesn't hurt me at all. Like that's, I'm, I'm okay with that.
22:19Right. Um, so I have, I've absolutely no problem with that.
22:22Then at the one Oh three, um, we had Cardinal Tate and that was a little bit of a trade that went down there.
22:29Um, big co a little bit. What's that? I said, I threw up in my mouth a little bit when I saw this trade.
22:37Yeah. Um, so big co was sitting at the one Oh four and man, Oh Mitch had the one Oh three.
22:43Um, and I don't think Mitch really cared who he got here.
22:47So he just basically acquired a 27, three to move back a spot with big co and big co came up here and got chef's boy, Carnell Tate.
22:55Um, so, you know, I, I was trying to figure out a way to get into there to pop two off.
23:02But again, you know, I, I also don't want to give up too much capital right now because I'm going in the order of building.
23:09I want as many options as possible to try to turn this thing into something.
23:14So often did not do that. So Tate goes three Tyson goes for the Makai lemon.
23:19That was your, your drafting at one Oh five, but you did not have that pick.
23:24Um, you got the pick because I traded my, so that was a trade.
23:28I traded my one Oh five, my two Oh five in a 27 second or cam Ward gunner helm and two thirds.
23:35Hmm. So it's full premium, um, premium and you needed a quarterback and I did need another quarterback.
23:40Uh, my quarterback situation went to hell in a handbasket might still be there if Lamar is not healthy, but now I
23:47have a comfortable quarterback to, to play every single week.
23:50It's going to maintain, uh, at worst, he does the Bryce young cycle of value has some room for Ascension too.

24:19This episode is brought to you by troll co clothing.
24:22And Oh, is this one worth it? You know, more than a few people have asked me about troll co.
24:28So let me actually tell you about it. I wear their hats, their sweatshirts.
24:32I have for a while now. The quality on both is legitimately good.
24:36The hats hold their shape. The sweatshirts are the kind of heavy that you actually want.
24:41Not the thin stuff that pills after three washes.
24:44I just liked them. The reason I connected with the brand in the first place is the story behind it.
24:50You know, the phrase dirty hands, clean money. It's a blue collar saying that has been around forever.
24:56It's the idea that honest, hard, physical work is how you build a good life.
25:00Troll co was started by two guys who came out of the oil patch who could not find any clothing that represented people like them.
25:08So they built it themselves. That is the kind of origin story.
25:11I respect. And the product truly backs it up.
25:14If you want to check them out, go to troll co.com slash profiler.
25:18That is T R O L L C O.com slash profiler.
25:21And use code profiler 25 for 25% off your first order.
25:25Lemon goes at one Oh five and conception goes to one Oh six and price goes at one Oh seven.
25:31So I'm sitting here going number one. I'm absolutely, obviously big co really likes Tate.
25:35I'm absolutely shocked that big code does not take a tight end with either one of those picks.
25:41Cause if it's me, I like, I understand like, okay.
25:44Sadiq and Stowers go next at one Oh eight and one Oh nine.
25:48But I would have thought with the one point premium extra that like they would have been more in the mix from,
25:55you know, three to six or seven. And they, they, they simply were not, they were simply the other guys went.
26:01And because of the situations for both of those guys, you know, whether it's a year away for Stowers potentially and Sadiq
26:08being a jet, like, look at the end of the day in two point premium Sadiq is going to be flex worthy.
26:14Like I just, he's, it's just, he's getting two points every time he catches it.
26:19Unless he does a full Vernon Galston. He's gonna, if you know about that, then you know about that, but unless he's
26:26just cosplaying a football player, it's gonna, it's, he's gonna have viability and be valuable in your lineup for multiple years.
26:32He's got the draft capital. He's got free. He's the most athletic tight end of all time.
26:37So what are we doing here? I was shocked by this too, but big coast will be co jumped in and yeah,
26:44he did what he had to do at one eight here.
26:47Yeah. So big cocaine back and that, that could have been part of his thought process of like, well, if I'm going
26:54to take Tate who I like at three and then worst case scenario, I get like a lemon at eight, but maybe
27:01I get one of the tight ends still at eight and it happened to just play out that way for him.
27:07And he was able to get Sadiq at eight and Stowers went at nine.
27:11I was furiously trying to trade into the one Oh nine position with guys like Manungi and some seconds and just trying
27:18to figure out a way to get in there, but couldn't get it done.
27:22I tried to trade Manungi for like nine on back from 10, 11, 12 to one, no takers that couldn't, couldn't get anything done with Manungi there.
27:30And then you traded into the one 10 and took Denzel Boston.
27:34Um, yeah, I like, I like that. Might've got, might've got a, might've got male pattern rookie horn in this affects us all.
27:41Okay. Yeah. I mean, you, you gave away a 27 first, but I mean, generally speaking, you're going to be playing for hopefully nine through 12.
27:49Right. Um, and it was a, it was a little bit of a, a little bit of a call your shot, you
27:56know, Hey, I'm going to be, this is where I'm going to be picking next year.
28:01So hopefully my pick won't be earlier than this.
28:03Right. Based on the way that the roster is constructed, but we'll see.
28:07We'll see. Um, so one 10 goes Boston. Then one 11 goes Ty Simpson and Omar Cooper at one 12 and rookie had had traded into that pick.
28:16So he had two back to back here, which is why I was really trying to grab one of them.
28:22Didn't want to come off of it. He took Cooper and then he took Antonio Williams at the two Oh one, um, which, you know, it's fine.
28:30Jonah Coleman was my consolation prize and that's okay.
28:33Like I'm okay with taking Jonah Coleman. I also have RJ Harvey on this team.
28:37So that was, that was okay with me at the two Oh two.
28:41We have Coleman. Uh, then at the two Oh three, Chris bell went two Oh four.
28:46Stribbling went that big co came in and grabbed strip.
28:49Um, and then Teddy Hurst goes at two Oh five.
28:52And then we get some tight ends off the board.
28:55We get a rookie had two more picks here.
28:58Um, so he's had through this rookie draft. He had the one Oh one, the one Oh five, the one Oh six,
29:05the one 12 and the two one, which is, is his actual pick.
29:09Uh, and then he had the two six and the two seven as well.
29:13Um, and max Claire and Eli Raritan are the selections there now.
29:17Not the two I would have went with at that point.
29:20Um, but the theory is I'm, I'm, I'm down with right.
29:23Draft capital. Sure. Draft capital. Absolutely. Um, I don't mind either.
29:27Well, I like both of them. Um, and Raritan could be quick and fast and in a hurry.
29:32And I guess so could Claire. I just, I feel like Claire's path is really, really muddy.
29:37Really? A lot of things have to happen. Yes.
29:40And it's one of those things where you look like you end up looking like a genius, but you could do this.
29:47You could do this at the end of the second round or in the third round for potentially for max Claire and be just fine.
29:54Yeah. Like I don't, I don't see an issue.
29:57I don't see any sort of issue with bumping him to the back of the second.
30:02I really like what you did at the two 12.
30:05Yeah. I think generally I, I felt like this room was too soft on the tight ends.
30:10We should, everyone should just be like for me personally and two point premium.
30:15Like I want to, I'll, I'll take my bench and shots all full of tight ends.
30:19Cause it's just like, you know, six for 60 is a fantastic stat line with two point, you know, five for fifties is fantastic.
30:27That line with two point. Right. Yeah. Like that's, that's all, you know, that's sexy.
30:31I mean, it's not, it's not going to like, if you're trying to brag about a roster that scores a bunch of
30:38points and you got a bunch of tight ends, you're like, well, who do you start?
30:43And you're like, well, I got this guy. This one guy in my flex.
30:47I mean, I got Eli Raritan in my flex and I got, I got Eli Stowers in my flex.
30:53And so for some reason, there's some sort of cognitive dissonance.
30:56Like, Hey, tight end score a lot of points in this format.
31:00And I should probably have a lot of tight ends, especially since it's, you know, you're starting, we start 12 in this league.
31:07Something like that. Yeah. Something like that. It's either 11 or 12.
31:11So it's deep. It's deep benches and deep rosters.
31:13Right. And it's a one point tight end premium.
31:16So you need to have a lot of tight end.
31:19Yeah. Those are the shots that I want to take because people are going to want them.
31:24They're going to be thirsty for them. When you don't have one, it sucks.
31:29And we don't have two or three. It really sucks to me.
31:32I'm big. Me and big co have a shared team in FFT three, where we, we start four tight ends almost every week.
31:39Um, and you know, just, just always trying to press buttons to get as many tight ends as possible there.
31:45Because like I said, you only need to like five or fifties, you know, that's 10 points and just catches.
31:51So you're getting like 15 points, just pretty simply, pretty easily, um, without worrying too much about anything there.
31:57So, um, I thought the room in general was a little too soft on them.
32:02I thought those guys should have been bumped up a little bit more.
32:06Um, so we'll pick up at the two Oh seven at the two Oh eight, we had Malachi fields go off the board.
32:13Then Nick Singleton at two Oh nine, obviously a big difference in what we saw in the first draft that we covered
32:19with the, the no premium, but Singleton's is kind of one of the bigger wild cards right now.
32:25It seems like he'll go in the first or sometimes he's in the back of the second.
32:30I think this is way more properly valued. Um, I think this is where he should go.
32:35Um, but you know, I could be, could be wrong there.
32:39Okay. So yes, begrudgingly, I'll have to. Begrudgingly, I'll have to, uh, I'll have to admit that this is a much better
32:45spot for Nick Singleton back into the second, you know, this is a lottery ticket for somebody who did really well last year.
32:52Like you were in the semis, right. And you want to take a shot on somebody who could have, I mean, that's his thing.
33:00He generates explosive plays. He's super athletic. Like if it hits, this is a, this is, you know, nitrous oxide to your,
33:06to your, to your race car or whatever, furious thing that you want to use.
33:11F is for family, whatever. So like I said, this is way better than taking him at the one nine that we
33:17saw in the first, you know, the FFD one.
33:20So yeah. And then Oscar Delp, man, if that hits as big co again, that's so yeah.
33:25Yeah, man. I, I, that, that Oscar Delp pick on the next pick, like I'm just, I'm just in tight end premium.
33:32I'm taking, I'm probably taking Delp over Singleton. I know that's probably a crazy statement for a lot of people.
33:38I just look, there's the profile for Delp is great.
33:41And obviously the profile for Singleton was great. And we saw Singleton was going to be maybe a first round pick in, in rookie drafts last year.
33:49And we talked about Singleton, like coming back like a Phoenix out of the ashes when the combine hit, but we didn't
33:56get the chance that for that to happen, but it has already kind of happened because people view the Titans as a soft spot for running back.
34:04But I, that's, I think that's the difference is I don't, I think Tony Pollard is going to take that job and not as long as he's healthy.
34:13I think Spears is good too. Now he's had some health concerns, but Tony Pollard was great last year for most of
34:20the season and people don't even really realize, but I think Tony Pollard, and now this is dynasty.
34:25So we're talking about multiple years and the capital's okay on Singleton, but like, I just, I would rather take the shot on Delp there.
34:33I'm probably in the minority. That's fine. But I thought that was a great pick from big co like all through this nine, 10, 11, 12 spot.
34:41Like I'm trying to use somebody like Ramondre Stevenson to get back in for guys who are potentially contenders here who, you
34:48know, you know, there's nothing sexy about Stevenson, but like he's going to score points for you and that's, and give you
34:54a little bit of depth and maybe that's what you want right now.
34:58Cause I would have, I wanted to take one of two of Delp, Jeremy Bernard or Jolie.
35:03And I had the two 12 that I traded Stefan Diggs for, I think, um, and, you know, near the end of last season.
35:11Yeah. I mean, I think that really Jolie and Jolie and Bernard should have, should have where we picked up at the two seven.
35:18And like, I'm good with Jolie at the two seven.
35:21I've done that. I think they should have been in those spots and the two six, seven spots for me.
35:27Yeah. No, I mean, I had Claire Raritan. Yeah.
35:30I had my final rankings. I had Jeremy Bernard over Malachi Fields, even though I was a big Malachi Fields guy at the beginning of the process.
35:38So Jolie tied in basically like tight end three in this class for me over Eli Raritan.
35:43And then Jeremy Bernard over Malachi Fields, just kind of, and then flipping those boxes, Max Claire moves back to the second, into the second round.
35:51That was to me, I kind of how this, but this just shows you like when you're in your room, you don't
35:58know, you don't know what people are going to do.
36:01And big code did a great job here of just scooping up, scooping up value.
36:06So did you, like I said, Jolie at the end of the second is that's, I mean, I feel like that's an ascending value.
36:13You've got Evan Ingram on an expiring contract. Same thing with Nick Singleton.
36:17It's a value here because there's no certainty in the Tennessee running back room other than he's got three years left in
36:23his contract and no other running back on the roster is under contract after this.
36:28Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. And, and, you know, big co and I, since we got through this little alley here have, have talked
36:35for a bit and, you know, just both, just kind of both of us explained he's on the clock right now.
36:41And I already kind of know what he's going to do just from talking through, like after we, he had three, one and I had three, two.
36:49So between I had two, two, or he had two, 10, I had two, 12, he had three, one, three, two.
36:56So after we got through that little alleyway, we, we kind of conversed and it was like, all right, what's, what was the thought process here?
37:04And I really, when I was on the clock at three, two, he was like, who are you picking?
37:09And then I'm like, I don't know. You're going to have to see.
37:13Uh, but the thought process there of like, he, like taking Delp was basically like, I want to get one of these tight ends for big co.
37:22And then like, he was like, there's still four or five running backs left.
37:26Like I'm going to get one of them at the three Oh one for him throughout that run.
37:31So he can go ahead and get the tight end out of the way and say, I locked one down.
37:37I can't miss on it. And then, Hey, you still have, you know, I know he likes Mike Washington, K Tron, Allen,
37:44and Claiborne, he liked Emmitt Johnson a lot, but if he would have taken Emmitt Johnson at the, at the two 10
37:51spot, instead of taking Delp, then there's, you know, a good chance that Delp doesn't get to him, but he still gets
37:58a similar ish running back at the three one.
38:00If not Emmitt Johnson. So similar bets, right? Similar bets on the range of outcomes for that.
38:05And you don't have right now today when we're doing the rookie draft, there's no reason to believe that if, I mean,
38:12if there were reason to believe that he had year one viability, he'd be in the first round.
38:18Right. Right. And so I, I then get on the clock at three Oh two and I'm thinking the whole time I'm
38:24going to take K Tron Allen and maybe I should have, but I just went back to evaluations at that point and where my team is.
38:32And K Tron Allen could be a lottery ticket, you know, could be a Damian Pierce, like, you know, all lighten up preseason.
38:39He's for sure. The number one people are trading first for him.
38:43And I missed that lottery ticket and I'm going to be bummed that that's what happens.
38:48But I just went back to my evaluation was like, I like Skylar Bell.
38:52I like the player. I'm not ready to win.
38:55I don't really care what happens this year. I don't love that receiver room.
38:59I don't love how they use the receivers in, in Buffalo.
39:02And we've talked about that a lot. But I'm just going to take my guy and maybe Shakir rides off into the
39:09sunset at some point or maybe DJ more, you know, isn't it after this year and they, they go a different way
39:16or something, but I felt like there, I wanted to take K Tron Allen.
39:20I had in my mind taken K Tron Allen and I finally just came back and I ended up clicking the box for Bell.
39:27And then Surratt has gone at the two, three.
39:30And I could almost, I would wager money here that Big Co is either taking Mike Washington or K Tron Allen here at the three, four spot.
39:38So any, any other thoughts, comments, questions, concerns of this draft so far?
39:42Or the Surratt, the Surratt love. Like, why are we taking the guy that, why are we out of the two receivers?
39:49Why are we taking the guy that went 30 picks later?
39:52Then it's kind of like the thing with Caleb Douglas and, you know, Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell.
39:58Like you'll consistently see Chris Bell go. Right. And I'm okay with that.
40:02Like, I don't mind, like, I'm like, I like Bell and I don't mind the, the pick inverse of saying, Hey, this
40:08is 30 more or whatever, you know, whatever the case may be.
40:12Um, my thing would be, I feel like Surratt's got to go beat more of like a bateman out for what the
40:19role in the offense is going to be. Whereas if you're going to take a, and I like Surratt and I'm not
40:25like, I don't mind taking either one of those Ravens receivers.
40:29I think Declan Doyle is going to be a good job and we're going to do a good job and we're going to want who's ever in there.
40:37So I'm, I'm mostly fine with it. I'd have to go back.
40:41I think I probably have Surratt ranked higher in my rankings, but I think given the option, I would take lane just
40:48cause he does, he operates differently and something different that they don't have on that team.
40:53I think I would rather bet on that year one or two than Surratt, but we've always been very similarly, similarly brain
40:59when it comes to thinking about, Hey, what is this?
41:02What does the guy have? What can he offer to the team from a utility standpoint that no one else can offer?
41:09And Jacoby lane is, you know, it was like a condor.
41:12He could just, I mean, he can, he makes 50, 50 balls, 70, 30 balls.
41:17There's a little bit, there's a little bit of T Higgins to his game where you just throw the ball in his general direction.
41:24It doesn't have to be the prettiest route ever.
41:27And he does need some work when it comes to that.
41:30But if you just throw the ball to him within, you know, the six foot eight wingspan that he has, he's going
41:37to come down with the ball and he has the, the, the ability to play the ball in the air to play with verticality.
41:44I guess is what I'm trying to say. Yeah.
41:47Or four 40, 40 inch vertical. Some of the most impressive catches that you'll see.
41:52He lit up the senior bowl, uh, according to the boots on the ground.
41:56And he's just been clean throughout this whole process.
41:59And, you know, he got a, what we think is a bad landing spot, but I just, I don't think that, I
42:05don't think that there's going to be a clear path for Elijah Surratt immediately.
42:10I would take the, if I'm going to take a Ravens receiver there, I'm taking Jacoby.
42:14And honestly, if we're really getting down to it and I'm taking a Raven right there, I'm taking Matt Hebner, the tight end.
42:21And you're never doing that. You're never driving. You should draft Matt Hebner.
42:25You should, but not there. I'm just saying, maybe, maybe in tight end premium, if I'm taking a Raven there, I might,
42:32I might go for, is he a fourth rounder?
42:35Yeah. Try it into the fourth round. Yeah. Try it into the fourth round and take them with your last pick.
42:41You don't have to do it in the third round.
42:44But some of the players left here, we got Carson Beck left who went earlier in that draft.
42:50We got Mike Washington, Catron Allen, Claiborne. Um, Kalen Black is, uh, left on here.
42:54Brazel Branch was certainly in consideration, uh, for me right there in the third round.
42:59Um, that's, that's about it. Everything else is, you know, kind of right on par.
43:03So anything else you want to talk about before we wrap this one up today?
43:08You have no, I mean, I just like seeing, I like seeing, you know, Deshaun stripling and Ted Hurst and Chris Bell,
43:15Jonah Coleman, all distributing on the front half of the first round, uh, your guy, Antonio Williams.
43:20Like that's a, to me, that's a really, really, that's a really interesting situation because of the fact that if he hits,
43:27if he can play at all, he's got day one viability.
43:30And that's why he's here at the beginning of the second round.
43:34There's, you know, once you get past the, we know, or I think Denzel Boston is going to be able to be
43:40out there and offer something that they didn't have him and Casey, I think end up going into training camp and winning those jobs.
43:48Uh, Ty Simpson, that's a bet for later, but that's a great utility.
43:52That's a great pick in terms of his roster construction.
43:55If he, you know, if you're playing for the championship and like, I just, I really, I think Antonio Williams is a
44:01guy that if I'm a contender, I'm looking for points in lineup.
44:05That might've been my, that might've been my pick at one 11 instead of Ty Simpson.
44:10But Ty Simpson's value could explode and go higher than unless Antonio Williams is the Amon Ra where we're looking back like,
44:17Hey, how did we let him get to the second round?
44:20What were we doing? What were we not looking at?
44:23Yeah. That's, that's why I was frantically trying to grab.
44:26Cause I've been, you know, kind of talking about this of like, I think the backend of these first round rookie picks
44:33are like pretty cheap and they're, they're, I think they're going to go up in value because I liked the players there.
44:39And I think a lot of people did like the players there.
44:43We've just, this class stinks and the situation stinks for those guys.
44:47But I think there's going to be enough spikes of good parts and pieces of those players where, or, you know, obviously
44:53we never know, but like at least half of them are going to have like, Ooh, really wish I had him.
45:00I'm not letting him go right now. Or if I have them, I'm not letting him go right now because of what
45:06I, what I just kind of saw in some glimpses.
45:09And I think Boston and Casey are going to be parts of that, whether it's the Sean Watson or Shador, I think
45:16there's going to be enough plays where you're like, Oh, those, those dudes, that's the future of Cleveland right now.
45:22Um, so I, I like that. Um, and then they had love the Antonio Williams call.
45:27So that's why I was desperately frantically trying to use my menung guy to get back in there, which I'm a mind
45:34keeping menung guy for another year or forever. But I was trying to get in there to, to put my money where my mouth was.
45:41And I couldn't quite get it done to get one of Boston Simpson, Cooper or Antonio Williams.
45:47And like I said, consolation prize was Jonah Coleman, which I'm fine with again.
45:51Also, hopefully more of a, of a end of the season next year sort of play with Coleman.
