Braelon Allen

PositiveSleeper0:08

Reportedly 250 pounds with the frame to carry that weight (similar to Derrick Henry and Brandon Jacobs); RB2 in New York but close to Isaiah Davis; attractive deep stash in later rounds (round 17+) of deep seasonal and FFPC leagues where benches are loaded with running backs; outlier jumbo running back with potential for productivity despite heavier weight.

Insight page

Breece Hall

PositiveValue0:10

ADP in the fourth round is too late; RB14 in Player Profiler season rankings; ranked ahead of Josh Jacobs and Travis Etienne; three-down role with PPR and touchdown work; proven commodity in fantasy; will benefit from Gino Smith's presence as a competent pocket passer who will dump off and use play-action; the Breece Hall show in the backfield with minimal timeshare; will get PPR work and touchdown work if the offense is even average.

Insight page

Brenton Strange

PositiveRole67:22

Matt Kelley notes that the Jacksonville Jaguars want to get Brenton Strange more involved in the passing game, with beat reporters talking about how much the team loves him. This ascending role represents a positive development for Strange's target opportunity going forward.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveSleeper64:11

Matt Kelley is high on Brian Thomas Jr. this year and believes his ADP is suppressed relative to smart money and plugged-in players; Kelley and his team rank Thomas ahead of consensus. Thomas is in year two with Liam Cohn's offense, which has produced top-five offenses at Kentucky and in the NFL. He's a first-round wide receiver on a rookie contract with strong production value, size, and athlete profile. His 2024 season was an outlier—yards per reception and air yards were solid, but catch rate was near 50% and touchdown rate was only 4%, which Kelley views as random variance. However, Kelley tempers expectations because Jacksonville added Jacoby Myers (locked-in ~20% target share regardless of team) and Parker Washington (actively in extension negotiations with the team), and the target math doesn't add up to the upside he'd like to believe. The team also wants to get Brenton Strange more involved and Travis Hunter will be involved in gadget plays, further constraining Thomas's target environment.

Insight page

Calvin Ridley

NegativeBust36:36

Matt Kelley explicitly states 'I'm not drafting any Calvin Ridley this year. No way.' He dismisses Ridley as 'almost 32 years old now' and argues he is 'there for name' and 'veteran deference' but that 'that's not enough' to compete with younger options like Alec Eominer for the Titans' WR3 role. Kelley prefers 'the young kid who's going to give me a shot at putting up 25, 30 points' over Ridley's limited upside.

Insight page

Cam Ward

PositiveProjection23:12

Matt Kelley calls Cam Ward 'a smash' and advises to 'take the discount' on his draft price. While acknowledging early preseason accuracy concerns and reports of erratic play, Kelley frames these as expected training camp issues and expects Ward to 'get it ironed out' by August. He emphasizes that Ward is working on footwork, strength, and conditioning, and expects the Titans offense to be pass-heavy given their weak running game and below-average defense, positioning Ward as a potential league-winner.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveBreakout26:00

Matt Kelley is 'incredibly bullish on Carnell Tate,' drafting him in the mid-third round (pick 307) of a dynasty super flex startup. Kelley argues Tate was a top-five pick despite not posting top-five college production because he was overshadowed by Jeremiah Smith and Marvin Harrison at Ohio State, and possesses 'Justin Jefferson, CD Lamb level skills' with 'CD Lamb level athleticism, but more on like a Justin Jefferson frame.' Kelley expects Tate to play X receiver and initially struggle against alpha corners before eventually breaking out, with a 'buy window' in weeks 1-3 and September before he takes over from Wandale Robinson. He calls Tate 'a smash' and expects his consensus dynasty ranking to overtake Nico Collins during the season.

Insight page

Chimere Dike

PositiveDepth Chart33:00

Matt Kelley notes Chimere Dike is competing with Alec Eominer for the Titans' WR3 role; Dike is more of a vertical threat while Eominer is a traditional all-around intermediate flanker, with both being 'very similar' in profile.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveInjury67:09

Matt Kelley does not consider Chris Olave a cornerstone asset for a dynasty team due to health concerns. While the production is there and he's a solid wide receiver target, Kelley questions whether Olave will be available for the entire year next year and prefers dependability over upside for cornerstone pieces, requiring him to taper expectations.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

PositiveProjection66:56

Matt Kelley uses DK Metcalf's third season as a comparable for what Brian Thomas Jr. could achieve. He notes that if Thomas posted the same season statistically as Metcalf's third season, it would be a great outcome, but the target environment in Jacksonville makes that less likely.

Insight page

Fernando Mendoza

PositiveValue62:03

Matt Kelley drafted Fernando Mendoza at pick 406 in a startup super flex league and loves him long-term. Kelley describes Mendoza as a bigger, more athletic version of Joe Burrow—essentially a blend of CJ Stroud, Joe Burrow, and Tom Brady. He's confident in Mendoza's long-term dynasty value.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveRole0:05

Great option in 2025; best position is playing Z in the Jets' 12-personnel grouping with Adonai Mitchell at X; part of a consolidated target distribution on an undervalued team.

Insight page

Geno Smith

PositiveValue0:03

Valuable asset in deeper Super Flex and dynasty leagues where he goes incredibly late; in best ball and deep seasonal leagues, he makes sense as a third QB option; ceiling is approximately 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns (peak MVP caliber), translating to roughly QB12 performance; averaging his 2022 season (4,694 yards, 30 TDs, 18.5 PPR) with his 2024 season yields approximately 17 fantasy points per game, a realistic outcome with current weapons; not expected to return to top-five QB finishes in 12-team single-QB redraft leagues; brings stability to the Jets offense as a competent pocket passer with a history of 4,000-yard seasons; elevates the entire offense and all other skill position players; replaces a mobile QB with a weak arm, enabling more traditional play-action and dump-off plays that benefit the running back and receiving corps; the domestic incident investigation does not change his draft value or likelihood of playing.

Insight page

George Pickens

PositiveValue64:01

Matt Kelley is coming around on George Pickens after being completely off him last year. Pickens went at pick 305 in a startup super flex league, two picks before Carnell Tate. Kelley acknowledges the talent is there but was concerned about situational certainty and contract situation in Dallas; however, he's now confident enough to draft Pickens in the third round of a super flex startup. Last year Pickens had 137 targets (30+ more than ever before), over 1300 air yards for the fourth straight season, and finished as WR5 with 16 fantasy points per game. Kelley projects more reasonable 16 fantasy points per game going forward. At age 25, Kelley would draft him right around Carnell Tate and likes both. If Pickens leaves Dallas, he'll likely get a mega contract elsewhere with a team that doesn't have another star receiver, making him the guy. Kelley sees him as a slam in dynasty and is very confident pushing the button on him in the third round.

Insight page

Gunnar Helm

PositiveSleeper31:48

Matt Kelley highlights Gunnar Helm as a 23-year-old tight end 'no one talks about' who is the starting tight end for the Titans; he is 'locked and loaded, ready to go as our tight end one right now' in Kelley's dynasty league. Kelley expects the Titans to run 11 personnel (three receiver sets) given their thin tight end room, making Helm interesting as a target option in a pass-heavy offense expected to take a big step forward with Cam Ward.

Insight page

Isaiah Davis

PositiveSleeper0:08

Almost as good as Braylon Allen as RB2 in New York; attractive deep stash in later rounds (round 17+) of deep seasonal and FFPC leagues; if Braylon Allen is injured, Isaiah Davis becomes a factor; comparable talent profile to the RB2 despite RB3 designation.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

PositiveValue0:17

Valuable backup QB option in Superflex and Dynasty Superflex formats; not a top-10 pick but has guile and gumption; extends plays and makes things happen; proven value who can score 450+ yards and 4-5 touchdowns; goes late in drafts because people forget about him; in Superflex Dynasty leagues, he is a target for the third QB slot.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveValue63:33

Matt Kelley drafted Jamison Williams in a startup super flex league despite not typically drafting him, because the value was too good to pass up. In a start-three-receivers format, getting four receivers in the first seven rounds made sense.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveProjection60:01

Matt Kelley projects Jaden Daniels to finish with 600-700 rushing yards this season. He believes the Washington offense will put up points with the pieces they have, though the ambiguous running back room will cause issues. Daniels is coming into his second year with more experience and film study, and Kelley expects the offense to be productive.

Insight page

Jerome Ford

PositiveSleeper59:21

Matt Kelley loves Jerome Ford's production and size; he's available in a super ambiguous Commanders backfield and could emerge if Katron Allen isn't ready or Kross Merritt disappoints. Ford has been an efficient runner in the past, and with Jaden Daniels at QB, linebackers will be frozen, giving Ford angles he didn't get in previous years. Kelley specifically targets Ford in dynasty leagues where he's available and sees him as a potential breakout if given early-down carries.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

PositiveInjury0:02

Referenced as an example of how fantasy players should not jump to conclusions about off-field incidents; Josh Jacobs tanked in ADP after an incident, then corrected over subsequent weeks, demonstrating that initial panic is often unwarranted.

Insight page

Mac Jones

PositiveValue21:16

Matt Kelley identifies Mac Jones as 'by far and away the easiest one' to target as a QB3/QB4 backup option in super flex dynasty startups, expecting him to generate fantasy value if he gets playing time.

Insight page

Parker Washington

NegativeRole65:51

Matt Kelley notes that Jacksonville is actively in negotiations to extend Parker Washington, which is significant because the team is not publicly discussing it (likely to avoid inflating his value in negotiations). Beat reporters are talking about how good Parker Washington has looked, and the team wants to extend him. This ascending role for Parker Washington represents a positive development for his dynasty value and target share going forward.

Insight page

Riley Leonard

PositiveValue20:35

Matt Kelley targets Riley Leonard as a QB3/QB4 option in dynasty startups for his scramble ability and potential to be a tradable asset if he gets playing time; described as 'the bankrupt man's version of Jackson Dart,' suggesting he will generate fantasy production as a backup QB in super flex dynasty leagues even if he doesn't help the Colts offense.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeValue0:15

Ranked below Breece Hall (RB14) and Cam Scadaboo (RB16) in Player Profiler season rankings; positioned behind both backs in draft value.

Insight page

Travis Hunter

PositiveRole67:33

Matt Kelley notes that Travis Hunter will be involved in gadget plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars, which is a factor in the crowded target environment affecting the offense's receiving options.

Insight page

Tyrone Tracy

PositiveSleeper0:16

If Cam Scadaboo is not available, Tyrone Tracy is the next target in the Giants backfield; will have weeks due to his all-purpose skill set in a run-heavy offense with many touches available for running backs.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

PositiveProjection24:12

Matt Kelley projects Wandale Robinson will command 150 targets on the Titans and get another 100 receptions. He notes Robinson posted league-low yards per target in 2024 but improved to league average, finishing as WR14. Kelley expects Robinson to be 'very popular to start the first four to six weeks until Carnell Tate takes that rollover,' but believes the expanded Titans passing game will allow Robinson to reach his targets regardless of Tate's emergence due to the larger overall target pie.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveProjection38:00

Matt Kelley is 'very, very, very high' on Zay Flowers, ranking him WR14 in seasonal leagues ahead of Rashi Rice. He notes that Declan Doyle's reported offensive innovations for the Ravens will increase touches for their best players, and Flowers is that player. Kelley argues Flowers 'has a better all around game than Rashi Rice' and 'has a more established role than Rashi Rice on a lot of levels,' though he acknowledges the news about Doyle's scheme changes is 'a puff piece' and may only move Flowers up a spot or two in rankings.

0:56My man, the podfather. He knows things. This is the My Dimension Program.
1:00I'm here with Stephen Stump, my esteemed colleague. His fantasy show is about to join the Player Profiler Network, and so we're
1:06excited to talk to him about fantasy football, about dynasty, about best ball, about everything.
1:11There are some teams, especially in our building of this world-famous draft kit that is available on playerprofiler.com slash draft kit.
1:17In the building of this incredible tool, we have found some teams in particular.
1:21The team previews are incredibly detailed and incredibly rich with the information that you need to kill your drafts, to absolutely destroy.
1:28And there's a handful of these teams where it's like, wow, the players in these teams that are enjoying consolidated target distributions, they are way undervalued in fantasy.
1:37There's teams like the Colts. There's teams like the Titans.
1:40A lot of teams in the South. We're just going to get right to it.
1:44We're just going to jump right in, get right to it.
1:47But before we talk about all these teams in the South that are the keys to victory in fantasy football, we had some news.
1:55It's not really breaking news. It came out yesterday, and it was like breaking news that in years past would have been a bigger deal.
2:02But now we as fantasy gamers are being trained to not jump to conclusions, especially after this Josh Jacobs incident where, okay,
2:09Josh Jacobs tanks, and then we just wait a week, and then he corrects, and then we wait another week, and he corrects some more.
2:16And then a couple weeks later, it's like it never happened.
2:20So we are learning how to handle the incidents that happen off the field and what are the key data points that
2:26would suggest a suspension versus it's going to be business as usual.
2:30And so I guess this is technically breaking news, but not really breaking.
2:34It's something to talk about, but no one really cares.
2:37Gino Smith was investigated after a domestic incident occurred, and the police showed up, and he wasn't wearing a shirt, and he
2:43gave them some information, and they closed the case.
2:46Yeah. Not wearing a shirt at home. How dare he?
2:49The audacity. Yep. No, I think this is we kind of knew it wasn't going to be anything when it happened.
2:56It was just kind of a puff piece at the time.
2:59It was just news while there's nothing going on right now.
3:02I don't think it really changes the Gino Smith scenario, but I'd like to know your thoughts on it as well.
3:08I don't think it changes whether or not I'm going to draft him.
3:12He is a value. That's the thing. He doesn't stop being a value just because he was brought in or the police came and questioned him.
3:20We've learned not to jump to conclusion. I think this is the first year, really, where we are properly calibrated where the
3:27league is versus where law enforcement is versus where the players are and where those friction points are and when games could be missed by a player.
3:35A lot of the news that comes out is shocking at first.
3:39You hear about the incidents. Hair was pulled, this and that.
3:42It's like, oh, wow, this sounds like a really violent episode.
3:45I'm sure it makes sense. It's logical. Something's going to happen to this guy.
3:49And then nothing happens. Yeah, it usually doesn't. I mean, most of it's I think a lot of it gets blown a
3:56little bit out of proportion just because it's in the public eye.
4:00It needs to be something to talk about during the offseason.
4:03But I mean, it doesn't change if I'm drafting him for redraft formats.
4:07I'm not drafting him probably anywhere at all unless it's, you know, later in the season, you're looking for like plugins at places.
4:14But that's about it. I don't really have eyes on Gino Smith as a redraft quarterback this year.
4:19Why not? Mostly just upside. I know we know what Gino Smith is going to be at this point.
4:25If you want, you know, 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns, it's OK.
4:29Like I'm OK with quarterback 12, but I'm not expecting top five finishes and I want to win championships and you don't do it with 10th ranked quarterbacks.
4:37Fourth. What? Fourth. So you think his ultimate ceiling?
4:40What you're saying is his ultimate absolute ceiling. The best you'll possibly get is 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns.
4:46So roughly. I mean, it's not. Nothing to sneeze at, but that was peak MVP caliber Gino Smith.
4:51So he needs to be back to peak caliber and I don't see that happening.
4:56That's why I'm kind of down on the Gino Smith scenario.
4:59Gino Smith is going to have some pretty, pretty interesting weapons to throw to.
5:03Yeah, you're not wrong there. Right. I mean, you have Garrett Wilson.
5:07You have Adni Mitchell, who he's developed incredible chemistry with.
5:10You haven't heard a lot about Omar Cooper Jr., which is interesting.
5:13There's very little talk about Omar Cooper Jr. It's been all Adni Mitchell, Adni Mitchell, of course, Garrett Wilson, but Garrett Wilson,
5:20Garrett Wilson, Adni Mitchell, Garrett Wilson, Garrett Wilson, Adni Mitchell.
5:23Then he has Kenyon Sadiq to go with Mason Taylor.
5:26So they got the 12 personnel covered. So if you're going to be playing Sadiq and Taylor and there's this great chemistry
5:33with Adni Mitchell out playing X and Garrett Wilson's best position is playing Z.
5:37Where does Omar Cooper Jr. fit in in the offseason?
5:40I'm not sure. But Gino Smith on a team that's going to be losing a lot of games, that's going to be
5:47going back and throwing and throw short and intermediate to Sadiq to even Garrett Wilson, certainly to Brees Hall.
5:52And then can go deep over the top to Adni Mitchell.
5:56There is upside there in best ball where we're drafting two or three quarterbacks.
6:00Then he actually makes a lot of sense. And these are some of the least expensive stacks that exist, especially one of
6:06my favorite stacks is Gino Smith, Adni Mitchell. I mean, that is the ultimate backdoor stack.
6:11Both these guys are undervalued. And yeah, he has the bottom line is what I think is important to note is that
6:18he has that in his range of outcomes. Right.
6:21You were like, I'm not that interested in it.
6:23But I was like more like, wait a second.
6:26Let's remind the people that this guy once upon a time at over 4000 yards twice.
6:31Nice. And then one year he had 30 touchdowns, which is not going to happen again.
6:36That was an outlier season. That was an outlier touchdown rate, 18 and a half fantasy points per game.
6:41He's not going to do that. Like you said, no, he's not going to do that.
6:46But QB 12, right? If you average that season 2022 with his 2024 season, then that would be exactly QB 12.
6:53Like you're not wrong at all. That is his ceiling.
6:56He certainly has these other outcomes like 12.7 fantasy points per game that also needs to be discussed.
7:01But that was on a completely dysfunctional team with an injured Brock Bowers, the worst receivers in the league in Las Vegas.
7:08I'm throwing that out. I'm throwing that out. And I'm sticking with just average 2022, 2023 and 2024.
7:13And we're talking 17 fantasy points a game. That is very much possible with these weapons and in best ball and in deep leagues.
7:20Not a 12 team league. I'm with you, right?
7:23A 12 team single quarterback league. No, but any super flex league.
7:27He has a great third quarterback option. He goes incredibly late.
7:30Honestly, startups. I was like thinking I, I, I had, I've thinking I was, I thought I evaluated all the different rounds
7:37where starting quarterbacks are going, you know, where they're all slotting in.
7:40And then I was like, oh wait, I got scrolling to get to Gino Smith.
7:45What is this about? That part. And I have here in my notes, Matt, that in deeper super flex leagues, he's definitely a valuable asset.
7:52I just said it's grimy to try and take them because the name's not sexy, but he'll get you points and he has a four.
8:00So yeah, grind this. I think the jets are one of these keys.
8:04The jets, Garrett Wilson, great option this year. Adonai Mitchell, great option this year.
8:08Brees Hall, great option. I also like Braylon Allen and Isaiah Davis as deep stashes in dynasty.
8:13I'm not necessarily, again, not seasonal leagues necessarily deep seasonal leagues though.
8:17Like if you're talking about FFPC, you're talking about deep leagues where people are loading up on running back, especially in the later rounds.
8:24They're stocking their bench with all running backs, especially in managed leagues.
8:28That's the big difference between managed leagues and best ball leagues is that the best ball leagues, your bench is primarily wide receivers.
8:34In managed leagues, your bench is primarily running backs.
8:37So as the rounds tick by, round 17, round 18, round 19, suddenly Braylon Allen becomes very attractive.
8:43Suddenly Isaiah Davis becomes very attractive. Now Braylon Allen was reportedly 250 pounds.
8:47We've seen Brandon Jacobs and other running backs play at that weight and be successful.
8:51He's also taller. So he will be able to carry that weight.
8:55Derrick Henry is 250 pounds. So we have seen this before.
8:58It has, you know, players have been productive and they haven't looked like a mobile home going down the highway.
9:04They've been productive. They've been productive. So I'm not concerned about, I'm really not concerned about it.
9:09Like he has the frame and he's one of these outlier, you know, jumbo running backs that could be very effective even at a heavier weight.
9:17So I'm not discounting Braylon Allen. I still have him as the RB2 there in New York, but it's close.
9:23Like Isaiah Davis is almost as good. And I like, I like targeting those running backs like a Jarquez Hunter.
9:29He's almost as good as Blake Corum. So there's some of these RB3s that you can target in those later rounds, even
9:36in seasonal leagues, when you get, if they're deep enough, where you go ahead and just stockpile these RB3s that are actually
9:42on, on par with their talent profiles with the RB2.
9:45And then if, if, if there's just one injury, right?
9:48Injury to Corum or Kyron Williams, then suddenly Jarquez Hunter is a factor.
9:52Even if there's an injury just to Braylon Allen, suddenly Isaiah Davis is a factor.
9:57So you start to add it up. Isaiah Davis, Braylon Allen, even if you don't include Geno Smith as an option, you're still talking about four players.
10:05Actually, no, Brees Hall. I think Brees Hall is a value.
10:08You think Brees Hall is a value as ADP right now?
10:12Our role batter is the same. That's like asking if all soccer players are the same.
10:16Take Messi, the most decorated player ever. Is there any other player who has achieved that?
10:21No, just him. Now take Duracell. Is there any other battery with power boost ingredients inside?
10:26No, just Duracell. Remember, goats only trust goats because they're built different.
10:30And Messi only trusts Duracell. This episode is brought to you by Google Chrome.
10:34You think you know a browser, but Gemini and Chrome?
10:37That's new. It can help you with practically anything on the web, like restoring a vintage motorcycle from a 50-page restoration block,
10:44or finally break down that long article you've had open for weeks.
10:47Gemini and Chrome is here for it. Ready to make anything online make sense?
10:51There's no place like Chrome. Check responses set up required.
10:54Compatibility and availability varies 18+. Absolutely. I love Breece Hall value this year.
10:58I am fully on board the Breece Hall train.
11:01So you can sign me up for that one.
11:04So why are you so into Breece Hall? So with the not high on Geno's ceiling, but I love the stability that
11:10he brings to that offense and what he'll be able to do for every other piece there.
11:16And you just named off all the names. Right.
11:18So you're not out over your skis on Geno Smith, but you're like the presence of Geno Smith as a sort of abstraction.
11:25We don't have to have him on our fantasy team or anything.
11:29We don't have to worry about him and really dissect whether or not we want to draft him or Daniel Jones.
11:35Forget that for a second. Put that over here.
11:38He makes the whole offense better. He's lifting all the boats.
11:41Yep. Yep. Absolutely. That was what I took from him.
11:44That's how I see him as a player as well.
11:47And that's kind of what he's done to every team.
11:50They bring him in to be a role filler and he elevates him to the next season to get him to where they need to be.
11:58It just kind of makes sense. It kind of makes sense.
12:01I like to spin it forward and think it through.
12:04Yeah. Okay. We're in December. Isn't it like one of the more obvious things that Geno Smith comes in?
12:10They finally don't have this mobile quarterback with a weak arm trying to make things happen back there.
12:16They just have a competent pocket passer who's going to dump it off.
12:19He's going to be looking for Brees Hall. He's going to be playing, you know, play action.
12:25Just a lot more traditional plays being run. And a lot of that would be to the benefit of Brees Hall.
12:31It just makes sense. Yep. Absolutely. That's what I saw too.
12:34So I'm full aboard the Brees Hall train. Yes.
12:37Thank you. What's his ADP? Like in the fourth round this year?
12:41It's ridiculous. Too late. It is such a value.
12:43Yeah. It's too late. So we're talking about two six players on this team that you're drafting with confidence.
12:49And the fact you could barely say that about maybe two guys on the jets in previous years.
12:54That's the benefit of having a pocket passer that is competent and has a history of 4,000 yard seasons.
13:00Correct. Yep. Yeah. And another thing is that he brings, there's not a timeshare in that room as much as we think it is.
13:07It's the Brees Hall show over there. I think we kind of forgot about that last year.
13:13But this is a running back who work his three down role going in the fourth round.
13:18And we got, we're taking rookie running backs and second year people over him.
13:22Like this is a proven commodity in fantasies. And he's going to get you PPR work.
13:27He's going to get you touchdown work. Hopefully if this offense even is average.
13:31So like I said, all aboard Brees Hall this year.
13:34All right. If you had to pick, you had to do it.
13:38I hate to do it, but I have to pick.
13:41I'm going to ask you. Brees Hall or Cam Scadaboo?
13:44Brees Hall. I want the PPR value. You want to be, but there's also a lot of PPR value with Scadaboo.
13:50There is. Oh man. Scadaboo is kind of awesome.
13:53Yeah. And he gets a round discount as well.
13:55I might be higher on Scadaboo because of the one round discount, the uptick in offense.
14:00We should see in New York this year with Jackson Dart and everything.
14:04I liked what I saw last year. That's why I drafted Malik Neighbors, unfortunately.
14:08But I think it's just a continuation of what we saw in a progression.
14:13So it's what I saw in New England last year going into the 2025 season.
14:17It's kind of what I see in New York this year where they're a playoff potential team with a solid defense.
14:23And I think we're all kind of sleeping on them a little bit.
14:27I'm looking at the player profiler season rankings right now.
14:30They're fully up to date. We've had the season rankings, the best ball rankings, and the dynasty rankings.
14:36Just in the last few weeks, we've had an incredible sort of influx of data, information, voices in the room.
14:42I've asserted myself more. I think if you haven't checked them out recently, checking out our player rankings on playerprofiler.com, I think
14:48a lot of you'll be pleasantly surprised where we have some players slotted in because a lot of you are on the
14:55same page with how we evaluate some of these players.
14:58Yep. You can plug in. So we have Brees Hall as RB14 and Cam Scadaboo as RB16, which I like.
15:04I like. We have them both ahead of Josh Jacobs, Travis Etienne.
15:08And we're high on them. We're high on these guys, man.
15:11These are players we like. I don't particularly like the Giants offense.
15:15I think the benefit for Scadaboo this year is that you're just going to be very run heavy and there's not a lot of weapons.
15:22And then so they're going to run the ball more.
15:25So he's going to have more carries and then they're going to dump the ball off more.
15:30And so he's going to have more targets and he's up for it.
15:34He's up for it. Losing Brian Dayball is going to hurt that offense a little bit.
15:39We'll see. We'll see what happens with that. We'll see how valuable Brian Dayball is.
15:44I don't think he's that valuable. So they had a softball game.
15:47It was a charity softball game. Neighbors was out there.
15:50Cam Scadaboo was out there. Neighbors hit the ball, ran to first, and he was clearly running in a sensitive way.
15:57I'm not saying he was limping, but he had a hitch.
16:00He had a hitch in his gate. He clearly wasn't putting full weight on both legs.
16:05Meanwhile, Scadaboo's out there hitting home runs, doing backflips, showing off that he's 100% healthy.
16:09And I'm excited. I think the players I want on this team are both running backs.
16:14I want Scadaboo. If I don't get Scadaboo, I actually want Tyrone Tracy.
16:18Because there's going to be so many touches for running backs in this offense that Tyrone Tracy and his all-purpose skill set, he's going to have weeks.
16:26Yeah. The only thing that would scare me with the running back situation is Jackson Dart and the touchdowns he's going to steal.
16:33But that would be the only thing that would scare me away.
16:37That is the open-ended question. And I just don't know.
16:40I don't know how much he's going to run this year.
16:43I know a lot of people think that they could just take last year, copy and paste all the rushing from Jackson Dart.
16:50I don't think so. I think last year he was a rookie.
16:54His brain was scrambled when he's dropping back, looking around, didn't know what the hell he was looking at, didn't know what
17:00he was supposed to see, where he was supposed to go with the ball.
17:04So what does he do? He pulls it down and runs.
17:08Now, the offense has been his for a year.
17:10He's fully acclimated to the league, and he has a full offseason to process this new playbook and get it uploaded and get acclimated.
17:18And I just think offensive coordinators are not going to want him to run at the same rate that he did last year.
17:25I don't think that's repeatable. And that's one of the reasons why I'm not drafting any Jackson Dart.
17:30In fact, not with his ADP this year, no.
17:33In Superflex, in Dynasty and Season-Long Superflex, not Best Ball, not going that far, but Season-Long Superflex, Dynasty Superflex, Jameis Winston.
17:39Jameis Winston. If you're going to tell me that there's a sophomore quarterback out there, he's not a top 10 pick, but man, does he have guile?
17:47Damn, does he have gumption? He's getting out there.
17:50He's extending plays. He's making things happen. What oftentimes happens to those particular quarterbacks?
17:54They tend to go down a little bit. You know, start limping around around week six.
17:59Jameis is warming up on the sidelines. He's got the jacket on, cracking jokes.
18:03He's ready to go, baby. I mean, he's been in commercials, man.
18:07I love it, man. Jameis needs to be the face of the franchise at this point.
18:12This guy cleans up well, man. He is leaning in.
18:15He's like, I have some weird behavior on my resume.
18:18That's just good people right there, man. He's just himself.
18:21I love it. Right? There are some clips of me not being the most sophisticated face of a franchise.
18:26And you know what? I'm going to lean into it.
18:29And we're going to eat some W's on camera.
18:32And we're going to be tongue-in-cheek about it. And big public brands are going to pay a lot to have me be their spokesman.
18:39Yeah, especially down here in Duval, man. We've been cracking crab leg jokes since 2010.
18:44So I get it. He's doing great. So I love to see that.
18:48I love to see that he's built for New York.
18:51He's already a spokesman for brands. I'm like, there's not many backup quarterbacks that are showing up in World Cup commercials.
18:57Think about that. And then I'm like, what do you think is going to happen with Jackson Dart this year?
19:03And so all of a sudden, things are clicking.
19:06And I'm like, in every Superflex Dynasty League in particular, I want Jameis Winston.
19:10I was just getting ready to spin it back to that.
19:14I said, especially in Superflex where quarterbacks go early and often, to be able to pick up Jameis Winston, who's a proven value, he can do it.
19:22And he throws big yards. I don't care about four touchdowns.
19:25If you're going to score me five and 450 throwing yards, and you're getting them for nothing.
19:30You're going to pick them up in the back end of drafts because people are going to forget about them.
19:36We were having a conversation today. The player profiler analytics team.
19:39So I've created this whole meeting of the minds, this analytics team.
19:43We get together, talk about super into the minutiae about exactly the target share distributions for certain teams and how that might
19:50affect the season-long projections and the dynasty lifetime values.
19:52And it's totally geeked out conversation that I live for.
19:55I was about to say, that's that nerd stuff I like right there.
19:59And I was like, okay, we were talking about when to draft your third quarterback in a super flex dynasty startup.
20:06And I tend to draft my third quarterback early so I can have three starters.
20:10And that player becomes... The mindset I'm in as well.
20:13That player becomes a tradable asset, a much more tradable, much more liquid asset to be dealt during the season because they're producing.
20:20Yeah. Whether it be Jacoby Brissett, whether it be Geno Smith, a guy that I'll pay a couple extra rounds.
20:26I'll move up a couple extra rounds and draft a QB3 or a QB4 there rather than waiting for the pure backups a few rounds later.
20:34So, for example, I threw this strategy out there.
20:37I was like, I think I might need to go draft my third quarterback.
20:41And Evan Ringler and Bradley Stalder were like, you don't need to.
20:45You don't need to. You can always draft three or four just pure backups knowing one of them is going to play.
20:51And Bradley Stalder is like, Riley Leonard. Riley Leonard likes to get after it.
20:55Riley Leonard is like the bankrupt man's version of Jackson Dart.
20:59Right? So that guy's going to at least generate some fantasy production for you, even if he's not going to necessarily help the Colts offense.
21:06And I was like, okay, interesting. I'm writing this down.
21:09I'm like, okay, fair enough. Fair enough. And I was like, of course, I volunteered Mac Jones because that's the easiest one.
21:16That's by far and away the easiest one. I'm like, this guy's going to get.
21:20And then, of course, Tyson Badgen. Yeah. Tyson Badgen.
21:23He signed that extension just to make sure he has the money for his family.
21:28Signed like a nice little two-year extension undrafted. They didn't want to lose him.
21:32They didn't want him to roll off the roster.
21:35So they signed him for a small. He's like, but I only want a couple of years.
21:40You can pay me a fair rate, but then I'm going to hit the open market.
21:45Team-friendly price. Yep. Right? So Tyson Badgen is going to hit the open market early as next year.
21:50Yeah. And we've seen him provide fantasy value before.
21:53There are teams waiting to bid for Tyson Badgen.
21:55They want him to be their starting quarterback. He has very much as like a discount Trevor Lawrence vibe where he has the size.
22:03He has the flowing locks. He has the scramble ability.
22:06Not necessarily like full QB rushing ability, but he has tactical scrambling capability and a big arm.
22:11I think there's going to be, there's going to be multiple teams bidding for Tyson Badgen soon.
22:16So I'm like, okay, Jones and Badgen for sure.
22:19Who else? And then Riley Leonard. I was like, okay, Riley Leonard's fun.
22:23And I get it. And I'm, I'm, I'm here for it.
22:26I'm going to pick him up. Nope. Nope. No, no question.
22:29I want him in super flex, but I need one more.
22:33And then like after a beat, someone said, well, dude, James Winston.
22:36And then I was like, oh my, that you're so right.
22:39Oh my God. How was that? Not more top of mind.
22:43A light bulb. I mean, it was, I mean, it was boom.
22:46I think you saw how excited I got when you mentioned his name.
22:50I was like, you're right. It is James Winston.
22:53Yeah. Oh, it's it. I was like, we like, uh, someone's like James Winston.
22:57And then in my head, I was like, right.
23:00James Winston. Uh huh. Yeah. That's the list of players that I want.
23:04The giants. It's scatterboot, Tyrone Tracy and James Winston.
23:07There's my list. There's my list. Other teams that are consolidated that I think are great sources of value.
23:12Most of them we talked about in the South, Tennessee Titans, Tennessee Titans, especially now that there's concerns around cam wards.
23:19Accuracy. There have been, I mean, we did see him throw what nine interception or seven interceptions last year.
23:24Um, there have been some reports that he's been a little inaccurate.
23:28Um, I'm not listening too much though. I mean, it's kind of pre still early in the preseason, everything like that.
23:34It's training camp. It's summer days. I think he'll get it ironed out.
23:38Um, it's not a concern right now, but I'm a dog.
23:42So I always got my ears listening. If it's still August and we're hearing the same things, then it's going to be an issue.
23:49Then the mailman's coming and it's time to bark at the door.
23:52So right now we're just kind of sitting in the sun listening.
23:56So we're good right now. Not, we're not, we're not going to internalize at all.
24:01Cam words, accuracy issues. Robert Sala admits cam ward has accuracy issues.
24:04This is on player profile.com slash news. Yep. We are acknowledging this.
24:08We are acknowledging that he has been erratic, that he is working on things.
24:12That's what you do. That is what you do.
24:15This is what I tell my daughter all the time when we're practicing, whatever sport it is.
24:20I'm like you, this is when you experiment. This is when you make, you make mistakes here.
24:25So you don't make them out there. Exactly. And that's why you go through two days in the summer and not during
24:32September and October, November, you get this stuff out of the way now.
24:36I mean, that's, you'd be expected. It's expected this time of the year.
24:40We haven't even started scheduling, you know, camps yet.
24:42So we'll be excited. Like I think by the time the end of July rolls around and August starts, we'll be, we'll be okay.
24:49We're gonna be fine. Cam Ward is a smash.
24:52Take the discount. Cam Ward is a smash. And I also like that we're not hearing a lot about our man, Carnell Tate.
24:59It's a lot about Wondell Robinson. Wondell Robinson. He's gonna, he's gonna get another a hundred receptions.
25:04Yeah. He's gonna command 150 targets on that team with Carnell Tate.
25:08There's no way. There's no way there's. I love, I love me some Wondell Robinson, Wondell Robinson.
25:13And I remember talking about this last year where I was like, okay, so guy gets 140 targets and we're just going to not draft him.
25:21What are we doing? Right. And then sure enough, as it turns out, like the league low yards per target he had
25:27posted in 2024 magically became something much closer to league average.
25:31And suddenly he's putting up a thousand yards and he was wide receiver 14.
25:35Wondell Robinson, wide receiver 14. I mean, this is a guy we've had our eyes on for what?
25:40Three, four years now, since he's been drafted issues in injury after injury after injury, but to get, be able to see
25:47him actually like produce at a high level. It was nice to see.
25:51Um, and this is a guy that, you know, we, I, for me, I see it.
25:56I see him being very popular to start the first four to six weeks until Carnell Tate takes that rollover.
26:02Cause that's, what's going to happen. Tate's the better receiver.
26:05Yep. And we see it all the time where rookies, it takes them the first half of the season before they start
26:11finding their footing, finding routes to run before they get comfortable in an offense.
26:16That's why I like targeting rookies in any format, like mid season.
26:19Maybe you get dumb dumbs who don't have the patience to keep them on their bench, but you believe in the upside.
26:26And like, that's why I like targeting those rookies around that time.
26:30And that's what I see happening too. I just took Carnell Tate in the mid third round of a dynasty super flex startup.
26:37I am incredibly bullish on Carnell Tate. We as player profiler, when you go to our rankings and you go to our
26:43season rankings, best ball rankings, especially dynasty rankings, you might be surprised of how high up we have Carnell tape.
26:49You have to see it to believe it. And the reason is because this is a top five pick mega star.
26:56Yes. Who would have posted cartoonish, cartoonish video game, right?
26:59Video game, cartoon, cartoon, video game, both, not just cartoon, not just video game, a cartoon video game.
27:04He would have, that's the level he would have got to if he had had that offense to himself at Ohio state, right?
27:11If he had gone to another team where he was the best receiver, he, it would have, we would, I don't know
27:18where he would have, how would he, would he been the one-on-one?
27:21Like he's even sharing the field with Jeremiah Smith.
27:24He still was a top five pick. Why was he a top five pick without the top five production?
27:30Like most top five picks have more production in college than Carnell Tate did in his final year because the scouting report,
27:36all those NFL teams have the scouting report on Carnell Tate.
27:40They have the production he did in the context of, oh, Jeremiah Smith is also on the field.
27:45And then this is the, this is the, the, the scouting report, the strengths and weaknesses of Carnell Tate.
27:51Dude, he has the size. He has the incredible quickness.
27:54He has a lot of these like Justin Jefferson, CD lamb level skills.
27:58He has like CD lamb level athleticism, but more on like a Justin Jefferson frame.
28:02No, I like him a lot. And this was, we brought it up on the show last week where this was a
28:09kid that's a five-star recruit coming out of high school was highly recruited by Ohio state.
28:14And then was overshadowed his entire career there by Marvin Harrison and Jeremiah Smith and still went as a top three pick.
28:20This just speaks to like how much Brian Hartline has built and developed that wide receiver room.
28:25And that's why it's, you know, wide receiver room or wide receiver you to this day.
28:30And it's taken over. It's because they're producing high value talent out of that university.
28:35You see some wacky stuff happening in startups, man.
28:37I'm seeing Nico Collins going ahead of Carnell Tate.
28:40I'm like, how long do you think it's going to take for Carnell Tate's consensus dynasty ranking to overtake Nico Collins?
28:46Yeah. Nine. It's going to happen just like that during the season.
28:50I mean, you're right. You're going to have this little buy window.
28:54This is going to be like a crack of a buy window.
28:57Weeks one, two, three, the month of September, you're going to get Wandel Robinson targets, but there's going to be some Wandel Robinson, 10 target games.
29:05And there's going to be some games where Carnell Tate's really not a factor.
29:09And if you don't get him in that little window, especially in seasonal leagues.
29:14Yes. You were talking about like in dynasty. And I was like, yeah.
29:18All right, dude, you're not going to, you're not getting Carnell Tate.
29:21Shut up. Right. You get where he was, you know, a mid-level producer and he wasn't, you know, he wasn't elite for this first three games.
29:29I'm not just going to punt off Carnell Tate and dynasty bra, but you're right in.
29:34Oh man, you're so right in seasonal leagues. I think even in high stakes, this, you could see this happening.
29:40You know, you're talking about like big money leagues with trades.
29:43You could see Carnell Tate getting moved. And I want to be on the receiving end of Carnell Tate over and over
29:50and over and over and over again. That sounded really bad.
29:53No, I know that sounded really bad. Everybody that sounded incredibly bad.
29:57Okay. It happened. It sounded bad. I can't. It sounded bad.
30:00Listen, when we talk about Jeremiah Smith, we're talking about teammates score.
30:04We're talking about teammates score. We're talking about the breakout finder.
30:07Here's more about it. It was many years ago at this point that Nate List said, Hey, we should do an AI
30:14system that pulls all this data on prospects and actually calculates the probability, the most precise probability that any given prospect wide
30:20receiver running back is going to break out. So we did it.
30:24It's called the breakout finder. It's in the app store.
30:27It's on Google play. It's five bucks for this year's class.
30:30Next year's classes fight. Just every year it's five bucks to know the most precise probability that any given player is going
30:37to break out as well as additional breakout finder specific metrics like dynamic score, teammate score.
30:42If you're trying to build a super team in dynasty, you just want to do well in your rookie draft.
30:48There's no better use of $5 in the breakout finder.
30:51This episode is brought to you by State Farm.

31:12Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there. You thought this was your run club era.
31:17Turns out it was more of a thinking about run club era.
31:21The good news? Someone's marathon training is about to start.
31:24Sell your workout gear on Depop. Just snap a few photos and we'll take care of the rest.
31:29They get their race day fit and you get a payout for trying.
31:33Someone on Depop wants what you've got. Start selling now.
31:36Depop. Where taste recognizes taste. All right, so that's the Titans.
31:40Pretty much Cam Ward, Carnell Tate. That Cam Ward, Carnell Tate stack is interesting.
31:44Gunnar Helm is young. Gunnar Helm is a tight end no one talks about, but he's 23 years old.
31:50This is an offense that we expect to take a big step forward, and that's why we have so many of these
31:56guys as sleepers or breakout values or anything like that.
31:59And there's nowhere else for the middle of the field.
32:02This is it. Gunnar Helm territory, man. He has the talent.
32:06He's big. He's explosive. He can catch. I know in our other team, he's on our Dynasty League.
32:11He's our tight end, locked and loaded, ready to go as our tight end one right now.
32:16So we will see how that turns out. But I like the shots, especially with these younger tight ends the last couple of years.
32:23I have a really big question. It's a position battle that I'm going to be watching closely, and I'm going to be posting on Patreon, patreon.com slash podfather.
32:32Very soon, I'm going to be posting my top 20 camp battles to watch.
32:36And I don't know if this is going to make the top 20, but this is close.
32:41And I think there's some value to be unlocked here because it's going to be a losing team.
32:47They're going to be playing from behind. Their pass rate's going to be high.
32:51And if Cam Ward can take that step forward, like he's trying all these new things, experimenting.
32:56He's working on his footwork, his strength, his conditioning.
32:59They've talked about – there's been reports about all these aspects of being a professional athlete that he's embraced and he's been working on.
33:06I'm really excited about it. Yep. The breadcrumbs are – they keep laying out, and I keep picking them up.
33:12The wide receiver three there. I believe Carnell Tate will play X.
33:15I think Carnell Tate wants to play X. He's going to be X.
33:19And I think that's part of the reason he's not going to produce right away because he's going to be going up
33:26against his alpha corners, and he's going to have to figure out how to pick the lock.
33:31But eventually, he will figure out how to solve these alpha corners on the left side out at X.
33:37And you know, Wandale is going to be in the slot.
33:40And the question is, who's going to be playing Z?
33:43They have a prototypical Z in Alec Eominer. And he had a nice profile coming into the league where his above-average workouts
33:50across the board and was productive at Stanford. 40.1% college dominator rating.
33:53He or Chimere Dike are going to be the wide receiver three, and they're both very similar.
33:59Dike is more of a vertical threat. Alec Eominer is more of a traditional, all-around, intermediate flanker.
34:04Yeah. Yep. But no, that's exactly what we saw, too.
34:07They need another option out there. And it's going to be a pretty balanced offense, I think.
34:12So their targets shouldn't be crazy. But I mean, he's going to get consolidated target work because he can catch the ball, man.
34:19He can catch the ball. So who do you like?
34:22I'm on the Gunner Helm train, man. I want the targets.
34:25Targets went all day. That's not an answer. We know that Gunner Helm is the starting tight end that a lot of people don't even know.
34:33Like, who is the starting tight end over there?
34:36Oh, Jesus. Is it Dan Bellinger? No, he's the backup.
34:39Is it Chika Konkwu? No, he's in Washington now.
34:41It's actually Gunner Helm. And Gunner Helm was pretty productive.
34:44I think there is a chance that the pass volume for the Tennessee Titans is top 10 this year.
34:50Like, if they can find a way to put all their trust in Cam Ward, if Cam Ward can earn it, especially
34:57in the summer, throughout the summer, and they could be like, yeah, listen, we're turning this offense over to him.
35:03And we're going to dial up the pass rate, and we're going to see what happens, especially because look at their running game.
35:10It's not like they have even Cam Scadaboo back there, right?
35:13So if you look at the personnel, and you look at the team situation, look at the defense, and you look at
35:20the backfield, a team with a below average defense that's rebuilding with a young stud back in Nicholas Singleton, but he's a fifth-round rookie.
35:27And then you have a Tony Pollard, who's well past the AJ Pex, holding on.
35:32And you have like a Tajay Spears, who's playing for a new contract.
35:35But there's no studs here. There's no established studs here.
35:38This feels like it could be one of these prolific offenses, pass-first offenses that Cam Ward can carry.
35:44It feels like this is one in the making.
35:47And therefore, certainly Carnell Tate's a smash. Wondell's going to get there, right?
35:51You're working off last year's numbers, which significantly influenced his projection this year.
35:54I think he'll be able to just make it.
35:57I think if the offense was just moderately more productive this year than it was last year, I think that it'd be
36:04very difficult for Wondell to get there. But I think because the pie is just going to be so much bigger this
36:10year, as far as the touchdowns available, the catch is available for the receivers in this passing game.
36:16Wondell will get there regardless. And then Gunnar Helm becomes interesting, and the wide receiver three becomes interesting because this is one
36:22of those few teams that does not have a jumbo tight end set where you could see them going 13 personnel.
36:29No way, right? Going to bring in Kyle Granson at that point?
36:32No. They have one of the thinnest, least impressive, least talented tight end rooms in the NFL.
36:38And what does that mean? That means more 11 personnel.
36:41That means more three receiver sets. So this is one of those teams where knowing who the third receiver is really matters.
36:47I like Ayo Manor as that guy. I do too.
36:50And that was the guy that leaned on last year as well.
36:54I mean, we saw a couple of weeks where I think he had what top 10 production a couple of times, but
37:00he was a streaming value last year. Yeah. I think that he is very sneaky.
37:05He is very sneaky in basketball, very sneaky in Dynasty.
37:08Ayo Manor is one of the sneakiest plays. And that's why that's a camp battle that I'm going to be very curious to see how it plays out.
37:16Yeah. And Calvin Ridley coming off the injury and he's not good.
37:20Calvin Ridley is almost 32 years old now. It's another thing we have to think about.
37:25Calvin Ridley is also in the mix. Yeah. How can Calvin Ridley possibly compete with Ayo Manor?
37:30He's there for name. He's got the veteran deference.
37:33Exactly. Yep. That's it. That's not enough, man. I don't think that's enough.
37:37That's not enough. I'm not going to. I don't believe that's enough.
37:40I'm not drafting any Calvin Ridley this year. No way.
37:43I don't know. I want the upside. I'll take the young kid who's going to give me a shot at putting up 25, 30 points.
37:51Did you see this news from the Ravens, the Declan Doyle?
37:54I saw the little X blurb. Yeah. That was a fun little piece.
37:58Okay. Did you take stock in it? Did you process it?
38:01Did you internalize it? Are you changing anything about how you're viewing this team and how they're going to run the offense?
38:08I mean, I take everything with a grain of salt.
38:11I think you kind of have to. I don't.
38:14I mean, it's a puff piece, but I think what it raised attention to is how they're going to use Zay Flowers this year.
38:21I mean, they already use them as kind of all over the field anyways.
38:25And just saying like how they're going to open up the offense, the things that it's going to do for him as a player.
38:32I really like it for Zay a lot this year.
38:35Gives him more opportunity. When I see these kinds of news items, the one way I might process it and I'm open to it.
38:43Like I'm open. Like it turns out Sean McVay, like he was an innovator, right?
38:47I mocked the idea because it's almost always untrue and hyperbole.
38:51But in the case of Sean McVay, it was real.
38:54And so it's possible. I'm open to the possibility that this guy just has the next set of plays that's going to change the league and set trends.
39:02Could be him. It could be Declan Doyle. And if that's true, what typically happens is these, the best coordinators find a
39:09way to increase the touches for their best players.
39:11And that's Zay Flowers, man. Yeah. And that's exactly what I saw as well.
39:16And that's, I don't think it raises his value.
39:18Like I'm not putting them 10 spots higher in my rankings or anything, but it's enough to keep an eye out and like maybe give it another month.
39:27You might move up a spot or two. We're very, we're very, very high.
39:31I'll tell you right now where we have Zay Flowers in seasonal leagues.
39:35We have him incredible. I'll tell you in both for seasonal leagues, Zay Flowers, wide receiver 14.
39:40Yeah. We, we had just, just, you know, we have Zay Flowers ahead of Rashi Rice because he's better than Rashi Rice.
39:47He has a better all around game than Rashi Rice.
39:50He has, has a more established role than Rashi Rice on a lot of levels.
39:54I don't understand how there's even a debate there, but of course consensus rankings as Rashi Rice higher.
40:00We have him as wide receiver 13 in dynasty ahead of guys like Lad McConkie ahead of Ted McMillan.
40:05A lot of, you go to, you're in a lot of startups.
40:09Ted McMillan is going to go around or two before Zay Flowers.
40:13And I would ask the question, why, why? And this is it.
40:16I got together with the, with the player profile, our team, Bradley ever is like, why, why Ted McMillan so high?
40:23No one can figure it out. I'm asking the question.
40:26At some point, someone in the industry was super bullish on Ted McMillan and it is like carried over and has, it
40:32just carried on the momentum of it. It's a conspiracy.
40:35That's what it is. It's a conspiracy. No. Um, yeah, I wasn't a fan of, you know, Ted Arroa coming out.
40:42I just, I didn't like the production profile or his athletic build.
40:45It's not my type of receiver that I look for.
40:48So wasn't a fan. And I didn't try to take any shares of them because, you know, as good as he is,
40:55if I'm not enjoying watching him on my fantasy roster, I'm not going to have him on my fantasy teams.
41:01That's perfectly fair. All right. So if we talked about Tennessee earlier, the C word, right?
41:06But there are other teams where you're, you're hearing a little bit of C word, right?
41:10You hear the C word. I heard, I heard it in Tampa, heard about the C word in Los Angeles with the
41:17Rams, Washington, naturally Washington, new Orleans now, and not just, not just Alvin Kamara and Denver.
41:22So of all those teams I just listed, which one do you think is the least committee?
41:27Like, so you think it's just going to be Kyron all over again.
41:31And those that are, that have been steaming up Blake Corum, you know, why McVay trust Kyron Williams.
41:36We see his red zone usage. We see him in the end zone.
41:40Like he's going to get his work, but Kyron's going to be the, you know, the leader in that running back room.
41:47I mean, Sean McVay's trust goes a long way on that team and has been doing it for the last three seasons.
41:54And he provides top 10 running back in fantasy formats year after year after year.
41:58And we keep dropping them in our rankings. He's always going with third round, fourth round, fifth round.
42:04And he's a top 10 running back every year because we keep telling ourselves the same thing.
42:09It's like, Oh, he's going to have to split work.
42:12He's not going to get as many targets. The red zone usage is going to go down and he keeps outperforming these things.
42:19I'm fully trust Kyron Williams this year until I see otherwise.
42:22It's interesting in every draft I've done and every team I have dynasty team, whatever it is.
42:27At no point have I ever said, I got to get Blake Corum.
42:31Not unless it's like the seventh or eighth round.
42:34And I went hero RB strategy. Like that's it's, it's still rough then.
42:38But it's Kyron Williams. I don't, I don't think it's a good, I don't think it's a good plan.
42:43And you did this idea that you're going to draft Blake Corum as a handcuff or, you know, as a, or as
42:50a contingent value play that has some standalone value.
42:53He really doesn't. You never know when you're going to start him.
42:56There's going to be some random weeks and you're like, Oh, well, best ball, you know, especially because you have that contingent value.
43:03Okay. Well, maybe, maybe I can see it with best ball.
43:07And certainly what's cool about him. I mean, Blake Corum was awesome last year with explosive plays.
43:12Look at the explosive plays on player profiler. I mean, Blake Corum was back.
43:16He was back. And this is one of the reasons why he got on the field.
43:21Because if you, if we, if we show it right here, Blake Corum explosive plays number four in the NFL.
43:27Look at that. His explosive play rating number two.
43:29Pretty amazing. Pretty amazing. This is why he has earned, this is why many think he's earned a bigger, a bigger share of this offense.
43:37You're questioning that you're like, listen, they, they have Kyron Williams.
43:40If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And that's the way that, that Sean McVay is going to play this.
43:46I have another take on this, which is that if Kyron Williams gets hurt, I'm not sure what the touch distribution is
43:53going to be because Jarquez Hunter is, is a very similar player to Blake Corum.
43:58Like there's not a big difference between those two.
44:00They basically drafted Jarquez Hunter as a doppelganger of Blake Corum.
44:04Yeah, you're absolutely right. And I wasn't saying that I don't like the Blake Corum value or the player this year.
44:10It's just for what I think it's going to be a timeshare pretty evenly, a little bit more Kyron in the red zone.
44:17It's going to be more Kyron. It's going to be, it's definitely going to be more Kyron.
44:22You can't project, if you're doing projections, you can't project Kyron Williams to have an even distribution of touches with Blake Corum.
44:29Yeah, you can't. No. Yeah. They're going to be 50% Kyron Williams, 35% Blake Corum, 15% everybody else.
44:34Yeah. But I mean that 50% on a Sean McVay offense on a Super Bowl team, like a playoff team, like I still value pieces that I want.
44:42Blake Corum, I'm not taking them as a handcuff.
44:45Don't do that. You're shooting yourself in the foot for your roster construction.
44:49At that point, I would take one or the other.
44:52If you're going to take a shot on Blake Corum, if he's late enough, go ahead and just hope, you know, something happens.
44:59I'm telling you, man, I'm just going, I'm just going Jarquez Hunter.
45:03Like what a lot of these backfields, these, these, these committee backfields, I'm just making the decision.
45:08And a lot of my decisions are just take the least expensive guy.
45:12I want Jarquez Hunter in Tennessee, a big surprise.
45:14I want Nicholas Singleton in Tampa. Who do I want?
45:17I want Sean Tucker. Sean Tucker's very interesting. So I noticed that you didn't say Tampa was, was, was out of the
45:24question for being a committee for out of a committee.
45:27I mean, is, I think it starts. I'm not sure.
45:30This one kind of confused me to be honest with you.
45:33Cause I don't know how healthy Bucky is going to look when he comes back.
45:38If they're going to split work with Sean Tucker or Kenneth Gainwell back there as well.
45:43Are they going to get Gainwell the third down work?
45:46Like, um, is he going to do two minute offense?
45:49Like I'm not, we got to see how it plays out.
45:52And that's why I was kind of unsure about the Tampa Bay offense this year.
45:57Well, Sean Tucker went on drafted, not because he's bad at football because he had a heart condition and it's been proven
46:03to be something he can play through and is no longer a major concern.
46:08And Kenneth Gainwell, you look at the news on Kenneth Gainwell.
46:11I mean, they're calling him the one B running back.
46:14And do you think this is like a beat reporter that's calling him that?
46:18Or do you think it's Todd Bowles? Who do you think is calling him the one B?
46:23If I had to guess, it would be Todd Bowles.
46:26It's Todd Bowles. Yeah. Todd Bowles calling Kenneth Gainwell the one B.
46:30So this is very much a committee and they also want to use Sean Tucker in short yardage.
46:35So this is the, it has nothing to do with the injury.
46:39It's just that it, well, they, yeah, well, okay.
46:42It does in that if you trace back cause and effect, why is this player on the roster?
46:47Okay. Well, it's, you know, why did they bring in Kenneth Gainwell?
46:51Well, part, part of it, yes, is because they saw injuries to Bucky Irving and they were concerned and they wanted to
46:57lock in a quality one B running back because of the injuries that have been occurring to Bucky Irving, which makes sense because he's 190 pounds.
47:05Yeah. This veteran depth. That's all that I thought.
47:08Kenneth Gainwell was just veteran depth. I don't think so.
47:11I think what they're saying is he's more than that.
47:14I don't, I think that Kenneth Gainwell will play a bigger role than Blake Corum this year in this offense.
47:20So it's a three-way split as opposed to just a two-way.
47:23This is the concern because you know, they've already said like, this is already something that coaches, not beat reporters, coaches, Sean Tucker.
47:30We love Sean Tucker inside the five yard line.
47:33They've said, this is, this is, we know this is true.
47:36And I like Sean Tucker. I like Sean Tucker everywhere, not just inside the five yard line.
47:41And I think that Sean Tucker throughout camp is going to make life very difficult for both Kenneth Gainwell and for Bucky
47:48Irving because he's so good and he has size.
47:51So this is one that concerns me when I was, I want to ask me, why aren't you, why aren't you drafting Bucky Irving here?
47:58Oh, Bucky Irving. He's a, he's the top value in ADP right now.
48:02You should draft him. No, thank you. No, thank you.
48:05I don't need, I don't need those problems, man.
48:08I don't want the headache. I don't want it.
48:11And then with Mike Evans leaving, I think that's a huge part.
48:14He's been with that team for so long. It was such a key role.
48:18Like how is that offense going to function without him there?
48:22We haven't seen that happen either yet. So that's curious to see as well.
48:26You know, I didn't think about that. That's smart.
48:29That's smart that you would, your brain would go there because you're right.
48:33Yeah. Mike, Mike Evans is certainly needs to be accounted for by defenses.
48:36Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I, I'm aware like the target consolidation is favored with running backs when wide receivers leave and all that.
48:43But even like that's, he was, you know, a cornerstone piece for that franchise.
48:48I mean, that's a big loss for them, whether they want to admit that or not in, you know, Tampa Bay, but.
48:54It's so funny because I've been in, I've been in such like, you know, number crunching draft kit rankings, cheat sheet mode.
49:01Yeah. That sometimes you forget, right? You're like guy leaves, especially Mike Evans.
49:05Vacated targets, vacated targets, vacated targets, vacated targets. Oh my God, vacated targets.
49:09Right. You're just vacuuming up the vacated targets because the law of the conservation of targets can't, can't wait back those up to assign them to other guys.
49:17Oh my God. And as I walk on, don't forget to dial back the offensive efficiency overall.
49:22Yeah. Yep. Yeah. I mean, these are key pieces.
49:25These are machines that operate. And when you take a piece out of a machine, it doesn't work the same.
49:31So it's going to be fun to see how it works out in preseason, but I'm excited.
49:36Thank you, Steven. That's exactly. Absolutely. It's very well said.
49:39So new Orleans, I talked about new Orleans earlier.
49:42I wanted to mention them as a committee because if Alvin Camaro is on the team, there's going to be a committee.
49:49Alvin Camaro is not going to be putting on a saints uniform and not expect to be out there, especially in passing situations.
49:56Whenever they need a big play, whenever they're, they're going to, you know, he's like, why do they keep playing Ronaldo at striker or Portugal?
50:03Why does Portugal keep playing? Because he's Ronaldo and he's going to have some big Ronaldo games.
50:08And you know that Alvin Camaro is going to have some big games.
50:12Yes. Even with Travis Etienne on the roster. I actually think that Alvin Camaro is a super sneaky best ball player.
50:18If there is very few, very few players that are just best ball options, almost always that player is also very valuable
50:25in, in, in managed leagues and just put them in flex and just ride the volatility or they're very valuable in dynasty.
50:32So I don't think much in terms of this is a best ball only type play.
50:37Alvin Camaro is one of the rare guys where in dynasty, it's like, he's near the end.
50:42You can't in seasonal leagues. It's like, I could never know when to play him, but in seasonal best ball leagues, Alvin Camaro, very attractive.
50:49And you know who, who is getting a ton of reps right now in a lot of their formations in New Orleans,
50:56basically playing the Alvin Camaro role in practice throughout OTAs.
50:59It's Ty Chandler. Ty Chandler has popped back up in the player profiler dynasty rankings because of this.
51:04He's now a factor. And I have already picked him up in some very deep dynasty leagues.
51:09I was like, Oh, because I'm in some of these leagues where you go to the waiver wire and you scroll for
51:16a minute and you're like, nevermind, I'm leaving. Nevermind.
51:19Like this was a waste of time. There's nobody available.
51:22Like, it's like, it's like one of those movies, like, yeah.
51:25And the tumbleweed comes, comes tumbling by and there's nothing there.
51:28But then those are the leagues. I, I sort of flagged those leagues.
51:32And I'm like, when a Ty Chandler suddenly becomes interesting or an, uh, an Ashton Doolin sudden becomes, suddenly becomes interesting.
51:39Like, Oh, Tyler, Ty Chandler could be an RB three on this team.
51:43Interesting. Oh, Ashton Doolin could be the wide receiver three.
51:46Oh, interesting. Let's go see if they're available in one of these like old Western leagues in the desert and then the talent desert.
51:53There they are. Oh, come to, come to daddy.
51:56Ty Chandler, come on down. It's not like Ty Chandler is going to be a league winner or anything, but I mean,
52:02for where he's going, he's going to put you up points and he has a solid floor being a PPR guy, man.
52:09He can catch the ball out of the backfield.
52:12Like the value is there. I like it. I like Devin Neal too.
52:15Coming out. I thought Devin Neal was, was an interesting, an interesting guy.
52:19Broke my heart with that injury last year. I needed him so bad.
52:23Just don't think that it's going to happen for him.
52:26This is worst case scenario. If you are a running back and you're trying to prove yourself throughout an off season to
52:33carve out a role and you're not available to be in these drills, someone's got to play running back and all these drills, right?
52:40Even if you're just helping the defense understand where their assignment is supposed to be.
52:45Sometimes the best ability is availability. You got to be out there.
52:48You get, if you're Devin Neal, it's heartbreaking that you can't get out there.
52:53Now, Devin Neal, two years from now will surface on a different team and potentially be a factor in fantasy football, just
52:59like Ty Chandler, who we wanted to be a factor in Minnesota is suddenly resurfacing in New Orleans and he's interesting.
53:05Yeah. And he had pop weeks when he was in Minnesota, which is why we're getting slightly excited about the potential that
53:12could be if something does happen and he takes a bigger share of that role or Kamara goes down or he gets hurt.
53:19I mean, he's a healthy guy, but I mean, he's getting, he's 32, something like that.
53:24He's old, man. Double handcuff, double handcuff. Ty Chandler is 28 years old and he's a double handcuff.
53:29He runs a four, three, eight. He has an all purpose skillset.
53:33I like him. I like him as the deepest possible stash you could ever imagine for these type leagues, you know?
53:39Wastelands. Yeah. And especially when you look at the quarterback situation with Tyler Shaw there, man, like it's dump off city all year long.
53:47He's going to be looking for escapes. He's going to need ways out.
53:50And that's why I had Alvin Kamara actually ranked a little bit higher in my rankings this year.
53:56I like the value there. There's lots of things to be enjoyed.
53:59In New Orleans. So we have two more teams on this list where we've heard the C word used Denver, Denver.
54:06So RJ Harvey is the trappiest running back I've ever seen in my life.
54:10I really like JK Dobbins. He's been really efficient.
54:13This is going to be a productive offense. They've upgraded the passing game with Jalen Waddle.
54:18Bo Nix is another year developed in the NFL.
54:20So he's approaching his peak. It just makes sense that they're going to hand the ball off to JK Dobbins.
54:26He's as healthy as he's been in many, many, many years.
54:30I can see JK Dobbins really having a thousand yard rushing season and he's an incredible value in all formats.
54:36Love JK Dobbins. But then knowing that he is going to be the guy on first and second down, then the question
54:42is, well, who's going to play on third downs and second and long and two minute drill.
54:47And it's not entirely clear, even though RJ Harvey soaked up a bunch of targets last year and look dynamic.
54:53I don't know exactly what Sean Payton's thinking. And it scares me balance.
54:57I mean, it was the same. We've been watching long enough.
55:01Even when he was in New Orleans, it was the same thing.
55:04He runs three running backs at a time. It's a headache to deal with.
55:09You don't know who he's going to play week to week.
55:12Um, all you can do is evaluate the talent and, you know, do your best.
55:16I try to stay away from Sean Payton running backs unless there's an injury.
55:21Um, but I do like the value for, you know, on the back end of the drafts this year, right?
55:27If they're sleepers. Yeah. Such a smart RJ Harvey.
55:29I'm out on RJ Harvey this year. He's going way too high.
55:33Um, I like the, the player because I don't like the value in drafts this year.
55:38I mean, he's coming down. Like his, his ADP is the air is coming out, but it's not happening fast enough.
55:44And so on player profile or across the board, season rankings, dynasty rankings, you'll see that, you know, we're out ahead of
55:51consensus on a guy like RJ Harvey, who is a complete trap and a stay away.
55:56And he's going to have weeks, right? He's going to have weeks.
55:59The only time I would ever draft him. And I won't, right?
56:03I mentioned there's one guy that I'm drafting specifically in seasonal best ball leagues and that's it.
56:08And that's Alvin Kamara. All the other players I'm drafting typically in other types of formats as well.
56:13RJ Harvey. I can't even say that. I, it would be the one league.
56:18I think the one format that I think would be defensible would be seasonal best ball.
56:22Cause then you can get those spike weeks. They're just going to be fewer and farther between then we really want.
56:29Yeah. And I completely agree with you on that.
56:31I think Alvin Kamara, he provides enough stability. He's been doing it long enough and he's cheap enough in drafts where, you
56:38know, he's going to get you points on your roster and he's has the potential to put up 25 points in a week.
56:45So explain this to me. I love it. Explain the difference in 2026 PPR fantasy football between Kamara and RJ Harvey.
56:51Explain this to me. Sean Payton. That's the difference.
56:54But I mean, think about what their production is going to be versus their ADP cost.
56:59Oh no, you're, you're not crazy. And that's why we like guys like Kamara.
57:03That was how I viewed Eckler last year as well.
57:06You guys, you see these guys with big opportunity roles and they're going later in drafts, like near double digit rounds.
57:12I respect the hell out of you. I respect the hell out of you.
57:17Listed a player that you were technically wrong about because it was a good process.
57:21Respect the hell out of that, that callback to Austin Eckler because it was a good process.
57:26Just like Alvin Kamara is good process. Yeah. Like I'm okay.
57:30As long as you're following the formula you got for yourself, it doesn't work out.
57:34I'm okay. I have my conviction. Like it's okay.
57:37It didn't work out. It didn't work out and we move on and we find someone else to pick up.
57:43This Washington backfield, man, this Washington backfield is tricky.
57:46It would be so much easier, so much easier if they had just given Rashad White more money.
57:51That part. And then there's still the Jaden Daniels issue.
57:54Like Jaden Daniels might be the leading rusher on the team this year.
57:58Probably will be. Yeah. And we're worried about our running back by committee.
58:02Like we might not have to worry about any of the running backs.
58:06The one, the one thing we've learned so far is that Katron Allen is not close to seeing the field.
58:12Yeah. And Krosky Merritt was just flashing the pan disappointment last year.
58:16Like that back, the running back room is not pretty.
58:19I wouldn't say that if you're going to start week one as a day three running back rookie, you have my attention.
58:25I'm impressed, right? I'm impressed. And he did produce.
58:28He had some weeks and he just didn't command any targets.
58:31And he has, again, sort of like a, he's like the RB1 version of Devin Neal, where technically he's in the RB1 spot on the depth chart.
58:39But similar to Devin Neal, he couldn't afford to miss this entire offseason.
58:43Yeah, that was, that's the unfortunate part of it.
58:46To miss all of the offseason program and the workouts and all in the installation of all the packages.
58:52That's tough, man. For a guy in his position, it is tough.
58:55I don't, it makes me think that it's Jerome Ford could make this team.
59:00And Jerome Ford solid. And he has been solid.
59:02Jerome Ford has been a solid, relatively efficient running back, especially on a team that's not scoring a lot of points, not
59:09creating a lot of opportunities in Cleveland. Jerome Ford was exactly like you said, solid.
59:13Yeah. He's not flashy. He's going to get you 12 to 18 points, but those are 12 to 18 points you can count on every week.
59:21And sometimes that's what you need. So keep an eye out on him.
59:25It's definitely a name to keep an eye out for, especially in these running back rooms this year where they're going to
59:32be going early and often, like just looking at mock drafts this year, like running backs are going fast, which is good
59:38to see people getting smart, but you know, it's okay.
59:41But yeah, I love Jerome Ford. I love the production, love the size.
59:45Just, just not a sexy name. No, but he had like you, he has been efficient and it's so ambiguous.
59:51We have no idea what they're going to do.
59:54Everything points to Rashad white, Rashad white. It's just, yeah, the money points there.
59:58It's hard because he's only making $2 million. It's like, I've been burned in the past with running backs where I was a truther for this running back.
60:07I believe he goes to another team cheap, but it's a shallow depth chart.
60:11And I'm like, doesn't matter. I'm in. And then I get burned.
60:15I'm like, but he just didn't have like the sort of the salary capital to command the role that he deserved.
60:21And it was like, oh man, that's a bummer.
60:24Uh, this happens to me time and time again.
60:26And so I, three years ago, I would be way out in front on Rashad white, but because I I've sort of
60:33processed these learnings, it makes me more aware of Jerome Ford and what Jerome Ford could be.
60:38And again, these deep leagues, really the deepest leagues that I'm in are dynasty leagues.
60:43So it turns out that the leagues where I actually have Jerome Ford are technically dynasty leagues.
60:48Cause it's like, listen, he's available. He's in an super ambiguous backfield.
60:51And if he is getting carries, let's say Katron Allen's not ready.
60:55Krosky merit disappoints. He fumbles like clearly missing the off season program hurts him dramatically.
61:00They have to call on Jerome Ford and early downs.
61:03And then what happens? He's really efficient because he's been an efficient runner in the past.
61:07And then he has Jaden Daniels and the Alfred Morris corollary.
61:11And then suddenly linebackers are being frozen and he's getting an angle that he didn't get in previous years.
61:16Suddenly Jerome Ford's looking great out there. We're like, remember Jerome Ford?
61:20It's like, yeah, we never forgot him, man. And we saw how effective the Washington offense was when Jaden Daniels fully healthy.
61:27And that was his rookie year. Like now he's coming in with another year, not experience, but he's been in the league.
61:33He's been in the rooms. He's been watching film.
61:36He's getting with the guys. I think this is an offense that is going to put up points.
61:41They have pieces to do it. It's just like you said, that ambiguous running back room, man, it's going to cause issues.
61:48And that's why I think Jaden Daniels finishes as, you know, six, 700 yards rushing this season.
61:53Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I, I just recently started just a, yet another startup.
61:57Everyone can feel free to invite me into their startup podfather at roto underworld.com.
62:02I'd love to, I mean, there's, I get a few more startups that are scheduled to go soon and kick off.
62:08This one is called the long game that I'm in.
62:11And I'll just, uh, I'll show you, show you what I got going on here.
62:16It's a, it's a fun, it's a fun situation, super flex tight end premium.
62:20And I chose the one Oh six smartly as it turns out, like the, the, one of the advantages of having the
62:26one Oh six is you can react. If there is chaos on one side of the board or the other, you can react and take advantage of it.
62:35You can either attack a position earlier than you, than you would have, um, or not, or just choose to play it.
62:41Cool. You can, you can definitely have a much, uh, less aggressive population.
62:45And more just take what the board gives you, uh, the one Oh six.
62:50And it turned out to be a very smart play because the guy at the one Oh one decided to hoard quarterback.
62:56And he started four straight quarterbacks, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Jalen hurts, Patrick my homes.
63:01So yeah, it, it was very interesting. It was a third round reversal with the tight end premium.
63:06And it was strange that hurts and my home is both, both made it to him, but he felt like he couldn't,
63:13he just couldn't let the value go. I don't think he went into it thinking he was hoarding quarterbacks.
63:19He was just like, I have these guys way ahead of everybody else.
63:23I have hurts and my homes way ahead of Garrett Wilson, way ahead of breeze hall, trade on Henderson.
63:28So I just got to, I got to do it.
63:31Um, and so when I saw that, I was like, okay, I started Jackson Smith and Jigba Herbert, and then Carnell Tate,
63:38as I mentioned earlier at the three Oh seven.
63:41And I had to go to quarterback. I went Mendoza.
63:44Uh, I just love Mendoza long-term. I think Mendoza is like a, a bigger, more athletic version of Joe Burrow.
63:50Uh, I said seeds, a shroud, but more accurate and smaller arm.
63:53Right. So he's like, yes. CJ. Yeah. Whatever it is, you want to mix CJ Stroud and Joe Burrow and Tom Brady, right?
64:00If you put, took Joe Burrow, CJ Stroud and Tom Brady and put them into one guy, it would be Fernando Mendoza.
64:07So, uh, Mendoza at the four Oh six and then flowers at the five Oh seven scataboo at the six Oh six.
64:13And then Jamison Williams, Jamison Williams, not a guy I ever draft, but sometimes the value is just so good.
64:20You have to just take the guy. Um, and this is start three receivers.
64:24So, uh, certainly with start three receivers, full PPR getting four receivers in the first seven rounds made sense, but I want
64:30to show you a particular player and look where he got drafted two picks before Carnell Tate at the three Oh five was George S Pickens.
64:38George S Pickens goes at the three Oh five.
64:41What do you think of that? I I'm coming around on George Pickens.
64:45I was completely off of Pickens last year. I, there may have been some slander things said about him.
64:51However, I was proven wrong. I think I have to eat some hot sauce for that one, but, uh, I'm, I'm coming around.
64:58I'm just not as high on him as I think everybody else is the talents there.
65:02Obviously it's just the situational certainty and what he's going to be is what I'm not sure on what's changed.
65:08Coach is the same quarterbacks, the same wide receiver rooms, the same.
65:12It's the contract situation. I don't know if it's going to be a long-term situation in Dallas.
65:17So if it's not the same next year, like where does his value go from there?
65:22I mean, is he back to what he was doing in Pittsburgh?
65:26Like who's his quarterback going to be? That's the only reason I'm still trying to tap or my taper my expectations on now.
65:32Oh, George Pickens there. Well, let's look at his season stats.
65:36We'll pull up his season stats for a moment for George Pickens.
65:39And last year, 137 targets, which was more than 30 more than he's ever commanded, but he was in Pittsburgh and his low volume puke offense.
65:47And he had an injury in 2024. So he missed some games still every season.
65:52Over 1300 air yards every single season. And he had four touchdowns per year.
65:56So he had an inordinately low touchdown total. Everything corrects, right?
65:59His yardage, you know, is still, you know, in line with his air yards, incredibly efficient.
66:04Look at the catch rate, like a super high catch rate.
66:07So he took maximum advantage of those air yards last year, maxed out his touchdowns and got to the wide receiver five.
66:14I think more reasonable is going to be something like 16 fantasy points a game.
66:19But at 16 fantasy points per game at age 25, he just turned 25.
66:23I say, why not? I say, why not? Think about it in dynasty.
66:27You're going to have his age 25, age 26 and age 27 seasons.
66:31And those are his super prime. So I would draft him right around Carnell Tate.
66:35In fact, we have them adjacent on the dynasty rankings.
66:38I like, I like, I like them both. The beauty is if he doesn't end up staying in Dallas, it is going
66:45to be for a mega contract elsewhere. It's going to be, he's going to have to go somewhere that's going to want to pay him the absolute max.
66:53And that team likely does not have another receiver.
66:56Probably not. If not, if it's George. Right. If there is another receiver that can command targets like they're like Seattle would never do that.
67:04I go down the board of all the teams that might be in the market to pay George Pickens, like give him
67:10that Godfather offer to get him away from Dallas in, in each of those situations.
67:15He, he's going to be the guy. Like, and you see this with Drake London, even though we hate the quarterback situation
67:21in Atlanta because he's the guy it'll take care of itself.
67:25So I, I think that the contract situation, it seems like something that would generate a lot of uncertainty, especially in dynasty.
67:31But I think he's good enough that he's either just going to stay in Dallas and they're not going to be able
67:38to, they're not going to, they're not going to be able to risk letting him walk because he becomes such a crucial
67:45cog of their offense that they, they, they'd have to go find the money.
67:49And then if not, if he's like, listen, I'm, I'm walking, I'm out of here.
67:53And he might, he might be the type of player.
67:56That's just like, I don't care what you're offering.
67:59I'm going to bet on myself and I'm going to put myself on the market.
68:04It no matter what I know you're, you're, this is the best possible offer.
68:08This is best in final. I'm going on the marketplace.
68:11I could see him having that kind of swagger, that kind of confidence, just the way he's wired.
68:16But I think either way, he's a, he's a, he's a slam in dynasty.
68:20I just think a few months ago, it would have been, it would have been very difficult for me to have confidence
68:27pushing the button on George Pickens in the third round.
68:30I'm not, I'm, I'm at the point now where I'm very confident.
68:34I would, I'm ha I would happily draft him in the third round of a super flex startup.
68:39Speaker 1 And the talents there, man, he's the best one-on-one receiver in the NFL, my opinion.
68:44So I get it. And to correct myself, like thinking about it, like if he comes back next year and signs an
68:51extension with Dallas, where is his value at then?
68:54Speaker 2 Oh, talk about upside. Yeah. That's the thing that could happen.
68:58Like I was told by many people that know how the NFL works.
69:01There's no way Cincinnati is going to extend T Higgins.
69:04They don't have the money. They don't want to spend it, even if they had it.
69:09And then what do they do? They extend T Higgins.
69:12So I'm like, I got to see George Pickens hit the open market to believe it.
69:17Speaker 1 I think I just convinced myself with that argument right there.
69:21Like if he, if we're back next year and he gets extended, like, where is he at?
69:26Then he's a 10 wide receiver. Yeah. Speaker 1 Yeah.
69:29Sick. Olave Olave. Yeah. We, he, he's right there too.
69:32Like Olave is like the next guy. Would you consider Olave to be a cornerstone asset of a dynasty team?
69:38Speaker 1 I think cornerstone, he has the pieces to do it.
69:42I don't know if I trust the health to call him cornerstone.
69:46Speaker 1 Okay. I think it's a little risky, but I mean, the production is there for him.
69:51He's a solid wide receiver target, but if I'm looking for a guy to be on my team for the next four
69:58to five years as a cornerstone piece, I don't know if he's going to be there for the entire year next year.
70:04So like, I got to taper my expectations a little bit.
70:08Like I want dependability for cornerstone pieces, not necessarily upside.
70:11If I'm shooting for upside, I'm shooting on lottery picks in the double digit round.
70:15Speaker 1 Question from the chat. I love having the live, the live stream.
70:19Everybody. Hey, if you're, if you're on this live stream, like the show, just like it, like it.
70:25Oh, subscribe to the channel. And, and then that'll help us live stream more.
70:29YouTube does not incentivize live streaming, but I love live streaming because I want to hear what the audience has to say.
70:36And there's lots of ways you can work around that.
70:39I just, I just turned the, I just turned the camera on and I go live and we see what happens.
70:45And Greg Wells has an interesting comment. He says, don't you worry that once Pickens gets the long-term guaranteed contract, he's going
70:52to go back to being a knucklehead. I don't know what knucklehead means in this context.
70:56I know that Rashi Rice is a knucklehead because Rashi Rice has had incidents involving law enforcement.
71:02Yeah. I mean, if you're standing on business and you're trying to get paid, I got no problems with it, man.
71:08Hold out on camp. All you want and get your money.
71:11Is George Pickens eccentric? Yes. Yeah. There are a lot of players that have, that have eccentric personalities that are going to do stuff that is disruptive.
71:19Zlatan Ibrahimovic. When he was at Barcelona, he was disruptive.
71:22He parked his Lamborghini in the coach's parking spot.
71:25He would do things like that. Okay. But he wasn't getting arrested that I know of.
71:30Okay. So that's the difference. I think you have eccentric personalities, hyper-competitive personalities that can create locker room tension.
71:36Yes. I believe that that is the reason why George Pickens is not in Pittsburgh.
71:40George Pickens is not in Pittsburgh because Pittsburgh really values locker room harmony and whoever it was, teammates, coaches, they didn't like
71:47George Pickens and they found a way to get rid of him.
71:50And instead of, like you said, seeing this as a business, it got personal.
71:55Somehow it got personal with George Pickens in Pittsburgh.
71:57And that's why they chose to make the fateful decision of replacing him with DK Metcalf, a much worse version of what George Pickens is.
72:05And that was a blunder that will continue to haunt Pittsburgh for years to come.
72:09So I don't see George Pickens as a knucklehead who's at risk of taking a year off and coasting or getting suspended by the league.
72:17I don't see any of those things. I see a hyper-competitive guy who has an eccentric personality and struggles to get along with everybody in the locker room.
72:25And there are some teams that are very good at managing those kinds of personalities and egos.
72:30Yep. It comes with the territory, man. You're a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys.
72:35Like it's kind of have to have that braggadociousness to you, man.
72:39Got to shoot your shot, talk your game. It comes with being a wide receiver in the NFL.
72:44Walbang comes in with another comment, says his on-field antics are just display of how passionate he is.
72:49And that's what Cody Carpenter said. He said, this guy's a dog.
72:53This guy's, he's actually, his dog rating is too high, right?
72:56So Cody said that there are a couple players out there whose dog ratings are so high that they're not optimal.
73:03Jawan Jennings is one. And we saw a personality got him kicked out of San Francisco, right?
73:08That was a personality clash because the things he does on the field are exactly what you want with Jawan Jennings.
73:14Just like George Pickens, the things he does on the field win games.
73:18That is what you want. But there is this other thing.
73:21So is that enough to concern me? Not really.
73:24The one thing I can tell you, he's not going to take a year off.
73:29He's not going to coast. That's not the George Pickens.
73:32He's a competitor, man. He wants to win. That's not the George Pickens personality.
73:36No, it's the opposite. That he's so intense that some people get uncomfortable in his presence.
73:41And I'm perfectly fine with that. But there's been a lot of Brian Thomas Jr.
73:45discussion. There's been a lot of Brian Thomas. Yes, there has.
73:49Every community, every Discord. Check us out on Discord.
73:51Player profile on Discord. I'm posting there frequently. And Brian Thomas, his movement up draft boards, his ADP rising, is not commensurate
73:58with the amount of buzz behind the scenes and buzz within fantasy communities.
74:02There's enough people that are not so plugged in like we are that are just avoiding Brian Thomas based on last year,
74:08suppressing his ADP, that all of the smart money and all of the plugged in players drafting Brian Thomas isn't enough to push him up.
74:16I think where we have him ranked would then equal his ADP.
74:20We're still out in front of consensus on Brian Thomas Jr.
74:23I am too. I'm high on Brian Thomas Jr.
74:26this year. Why you like him? And especially, I mean, this is year two with the Liam Cohn offense.
74:31And we saw Liam Cohn, all he does is come out and produce top five offenses, whether it's at Kentucky or in
74:38the SEC and now in Jacksonville or Tampa Bay.
74:41He knows how to run an offense. And Brian Thomas Jr.
74:44is a guy who's still on a rookie contract.
74:47This is a first round wide receiver with a pedigree that they've invested time and money into.
74:52I love the production value. I know there was some reports that he was a little banged up last year, but I
74:59think he should be back to 100%. He's had a full year to mesh with Trevor Lawrence at this point.
75:05So I love the production profile. I love the size.
75:08I love the athlete. This is like your classic post-type Sleeverman.
75:11I love the BTJ landing spot this year. I've pulled up his season stats.
75:15His yards per reception is exactly the same. Yeah.
75:18From 2024 to 2025. Like I said, love the production.
75:21His air yards are only off by a little over 200 from 2024 to 2025.
75:25It was just the efficiency wasn't there. Like the per target efficiency, his catch rate was close to 50% and his touchdown rate was incredibly low.
75:33We're talking about. Yeah. Two touchdowns. We're talking about a touchdown rate of 4%, like 4% of his catches were touchdowns on a perfectly productive offense.
75:41That's just random. That's just a pure outlier. So his season was an outlier anyway.
75:46Will he be what he was in 2024? No.
75:48And it's nothing to do with him. That's the thing.
75:51The reason why is they now have Jacoby Myers and they now have Parker Washington.
75:56And I, again, this is okay. So we'll talk about lessons I've learned over the years continually on this show.
76:02We talked about it once, right? Where I would be so all in on Rashad White if it were five years ago,
76:09just because the talent profile and I love big running backs that catch passes and are athletic.
76:14I mean, it's just like, oh my God, that contract value data point is such a red flag for me.
76:20Yes. And I have been so wronged by it in so many years.
76:24I just, I have to factor it in significantly.
76:26With Brian Thomas, I would normally be, when I see these air yards and I see this potential from a first round
76:33pick and mega athlete comparable to DK Metcalf in a good way.
76:37Yeah. Right? If he just had DK Metcalf's third season, wouldn't you love that?
76:41Wouldn't you love that? If he, if he posted the same season statistically as DK Metcalf's third season, you would love that.
76:47Of course you would love that. The problem for, for Brian Thomas Jr.
76:51is Parker Washington. And it struck me when I was thinking about this, that the player they're talking about extending is Parker Washington.
76:58And that's the same player they're not talking about.
77:01So we know that they are in talks to extend him and that information could have been leaked by Parker Washington's representatives.
77:08Yeah. Yeah. It could be that Jacksonville is on radio silence lockdown.
77:11No one's allowed to talk about Parker Washington until we get a deal done because we don't want anyone on their side
77:18of the negotiation to fully understand how valuable we think he is.
77:21Cause we're trying to get a discount. Yeah. It's like Carolina just got a discount on Jalen Coker.
77:27Yep. So what do you do in that situation?
77:30Well, let's talk about receivers not named Parker Washington on a loop.
77:33So this is part of the propaganda wars that we have to factor in.
77:37Yeah. Filter through and Brian Thomas is in the news because they want him to be in the news.
77:43Parker Washington is not in the news because they don't want him to be in the news.
77:48But guess what? It's getting out anyway. Beat reporters are talking about how good he's looked.
77:53Yeah. And that they want to extend him and that he's, he's, that they're in active negotiations for an extension.
77:59And that information just, it can't be fully suppressed.
78:02And it, so that it makes me think Brian Thomas is potentially an upside trap this year in that you love those
78:09air yards and you saw it a couple of years ago.
78:12But the environment has changed so much that if there's one player where you can write down the target share every year, it's Jacoby Myers.
78:19It doesn't matter what the team is. Could be New England.
78:23It could be Las Vegas. It could be Jacksonville.
78:25You need to write that target share down. It's not up for debate.
78:29It's not like someone's going to, Oh, suddenly Jacoby Myers is going to go from a 20% target share to 12.
78:36No, that's not going to happen. That's a lock.
78:38Now you have this player that is ascending, actively ascending in Parker Washington.
78:42Then you have Brenton strange and you're hearing news reports about how much the team loves Brenton strange and wants to get
78:49him involved and the Quinn Allen and get him involved in the passing game.
78:53Travis Hunter is going to be involved with gadget plays and on down the board.
78:58It's like suddenly the target math and the air yards math doesn't quite add up in this particular environment with this personnel, these personnel groupings.
79:05It doesn't quite add up to the upside I would like to believe is there for Brian Thomas.
79:11This should be tons of fun. Marvel television's daredevil born again.

79:43No, I see what you're saying completely, but I think it's one of those situations where it's one way or the other.
79:49It's either they realize that he's not the guy and we just miss something that rookie year.
79:54Excuse me. Or it's, you know, Liam Cohen and tide raises all ships, man.
79:59And it's just going to be top five offense.
80:01And we see crazy things this year and all value.
80:04Sorry. And I, all the wide receiver assets are have value on that team.
80:09I see it as a business side. I'm not saying I'm fading Brian Thomas.
80:13I'm saying I would have been like waving the flag.
80:16He would be my number one by. Oh yeah.
80:19If I didn't sniff this out. The contract situation.
80:21That this is not quite what it seems. Yeah.
80:24Because of the lingering contract situation with Parker Washington, the Brian Thomas buzz, local beat buzz, isn't quite what it seems.
80:30So I think there's a bit of a conspiracy there to get fantasy gamers frothy about Brian Thomas.
80:36Not that they care about fantasy gamers. It's just what naturally happens when you, when you are actively suppressing positive news about a particular player.
80:43It has to go somewhere and it's going to land on Brian Thomas.
80:47Yep. Yep. And you're not wrong. I mean, it's Brian Thomas is the guy that's on the front of the papers on, you know, all week long.
80:55Like we don't really hear much about, you know, Parker Washington, but he has value.
81:00And this is going to be an offense with a lot of target share, man.
81:04And there's going to be so much volume on this offense.
81:08I think, especially with the running back room that they have and the ambiguity there, like it's just going to be pass, pass, pass.
81:15Yeah. Think about who, yeah. Think about, thank you.
81:18Just like Tennessee, right? This is why we want these teams in the South, AFC South, NFC South.
81:23We want teams in the South. Yeah. Their backfields are weak and they've stockpiled their wide receiver rooms with a Carnell Tate.
81:30Exactly. And Jacoby Myers and on down the board.
81:32Jared Dean is in the chat. He says, I'm currently in trade talks to acquire BTJ right now, but I'm shitting my pants.
81:39Ah, the upside is there. If you believe in the upside, which is why you made the trade and believe in the upside, I don't second guess yourself.
81:48The targets are going to be there. Like he has the talent and the pedigree to make a full bounce back to
81:54maybe not a top three fantasy asset. But I mean, that's, that's not out the window given how that offense works.
82:01I can't, I just can't quite get there, man.
82:03I wish I could. I really wish I could, man.
82:06If I were the, if I were the fantasy gamer, I was five years ago, I'd be right there with you.
82:13But I also appreciate the fact that we have invented a new fantasy term.
82:17Upside trap is new. No one's ever said that before.
82:20There's no such thing as an upside trap. We invented that term today.
82:24But somehow I knew exactly what you were talking about when you said it.
82:28So yeah, I like that one. Upside trap. Naughty 4662 writes, trust your pants, Jared.
82:33Trust them. Trust the process. Trust your pants, Jared.
82:35Trust, just trust, trust, trust. Guess who else? Who we got?
82:39Michael Wilson. The preliminary talks have been in discussion.
82:41This one, man, as an Ohio State fan, it hurts my heart.
82:45It hurts. Because like, this is the exact same situation as the BTJ thing.
82:49I just don't want to admit it at this point.
82:52It's a very, very tricky situation. Yeah. Because they are not going to throw at the same rate they did last year.
82:59They just drafted a running back, right? This is the thing, man.
83:03Sometimes you just have to take a step back and go, wait, their backfield is Basial Tootin and LaQuint Allen?
83:09Wait, their backfield is Tony Pollard and Tajay Spears?
83:11What are we talking about here? Of course they're going to be throwing the ball.
83:16Well, on the other end of that spectrum, oh, now their backfield is Tyler Algier in early Downs and Jeremiah Love every other down.
83:23And where does that leave Marvin Harrison? Well, behind Trey McBride, first and foremost.
83:27And then we don't know where he slots in with Michael Wilson.
83:31Michael Wilson is a player that I would have typically, because I was so out in front on Michael Wilson in his
83:38early days as a big time truther, loved him.
83:40Third round pick out of Stanford was like, this guy can really play.
83:44Best feet at the senior bowl. And had questions about Marvin Harrison Jr.
83:48that many others didn't. And then that would naturally logically leading you to be more bullish on Michael Wilson.
83:54But you go to the dynasty rankings on player profiler and you're like, wait a second, Michael Wilson, you guys should be higher on Michael Wilson.
84:02We have him at wide receiver 34. That is ahead of consensus, but not by a lot, right?
84:07Most people would think that we'd be way out ahead.
84:10But there are certain players that were more out ahead of players like Christian Watson, players like Josh Downs.
84:16We'll talk about in a little bit players like Parker Washington.
84:19There are these players that we are very much out ahead of, and they naturally will displace a Michael Wilson because he
84:26could be fourth on this team in targets. He could be behind Trey McBride, behind Marvin Harrison Jr., and behind Jeremiah Love.
84:32Or he's just better than Marvin Harrison Jr. For whatever reason, Marvin Harrison Jr.
84:37reached a level of competition that he was not ready to handle and that he was not prepared for.
84:42And this is in so many ways, especially for a top pick.
84:46If he were a second or third rounder, there wouldn't be nearly this much at stake.
84:51But you see this time and time again. For these guys that are top 10 picks, this third year is pivotal.
84:57I mean, it is almost everything where I'll say it.
85:00If he doesn't fire this year, if it doesn't happen for Marvin Harrison Jr., it's over.
85:05Like, think about how, just think about that. What is at stake for Marvin?
85:09If you have more, I have Marvin Harrison on a couple dynasty teams, ones I inherited, orphans, and I am terrified.
85:16And I would be, because he just brought up Brian Thomas.
85:19Like, I'm not worried about Brian Thomas. But for some reason, Marvin Harrison, I'm worried about Marvin Harrison.
85:24Terrifying. Yeah. Yeah, we have them adjacent in the dynasty rankings.
85:28They're right there. But I'll tell you, we have Brian Thomas ahead.
85:31Yeah. We have Brian Thomas ahead. And you can see where they stack up.
85:35Dynasty rankings. Dynasty rankings at playerprofile.com. Dynasty Deluxe. Yeah.
85:38And then they spent a third overall pick on a running back?
85:42After just taking Marv, like, they're going to run the ball.
85:45They're going to use this, dude. Like, it's, their warning signs are there.
85:49Like, I'm staying away from Marv this year, unfortunately.
85:52You just have to sidestep this, right? You don't need to be a hero.
85:56Like, you don't even need to get Michael Wilson now.
85:59Like, in dynasty or even seasonal leagues that allow trades, you can trade for him.
86:04I can promise you, Marvin Harrison Jr. is not going to play 17 games this year.
86:08He's not going to. He's not built for this.
86:11It's not going to happen. So there is going to be a time.
86:15If you could time it just right, maybe he starts slow.
86:18The thing is, a guy like Michael Wilson, his dynasty value is so fragile.
86:23That if he just has a couple weeks where he starts slow, there were already doubters that his 2025 production was fraudulent
86:29because it was the end of the year when they were leading the league and pass rate.
86:34And there was no Marvin Harrison Jr. Yeah. Because he seemed like such a situational spike week specialist, you take away that
86:41situation and you put him in more of a league average situation.
86:45So many people are expecting, so many fantasy gamers, just expecting him to revert back to the mean and just be irrelevant.
86:51And so if you just give them a couple of weeks of Michael Wilson, five targets and eight fantasy points, give you
86:58get you feed that to them, man. There's going to end it.
87:01And a lot of those people are heavily involved in the fantasy industry.
87:05And there's going to be all these articles. There's going to be all these social posts.
87:10There's going to be all this like when to cut Michael Wilson, that he's dead, all these things.
87:16Michael, you're going to have plenty of opportunity to buy low on Michael Wilson.
87:20Yeah. And the nice thing is you may actually have the safety and security of a contract extension to fall back on where they extend.
87:27OK, so what happens is they extend him. Then it looks like they made a huge mistake after a couple of weeks that they overpaid.
87:35Right. So then now he's you can see the Cardinals after a couple of weeks getting mocked for overpaying Michael Wilson.
87:41So in that situation, his contract value won't help his value.
87:45He is going to crater no matter what. And then us that are looking at all the data points are like, well,
87:51we have this contract and it's not like Marvin Harrison Jr.
87:54is playing that well either. It's just the offenses run heavy and Trey McBride and they have bad quarterback play below average quarterback play by low.
88:02Right. So so you I just want to make sure that the people in this audience that see the dynasty rankings and
88:09are concerned about where we have Michael Wilson like you guys are not eating at your own restaurant.
88:14What's happening? Just just wait, just there will be plenty of opportunity.
88:18Just just don't worry. Don't worry. We have him rated properly.
88:21I have I have I have never had this much confidence in our dynasty rankings ever.
88:26My history in this business. The player that we need to talk about the most is Josh Downs.
88:32Thank you, because Josh Downs is the type of player again that if I were the man I was five years ago,
88:38I would not be talking about Josh Downs. I would be actively rooting against Josh Downs and I'd be just blindly buying
88:45all the Alec Pierce and taking all the the the coach sentiments about Alec Pierce returning to action quickly on face value.
88:51Yeah, instead of seeing it for what it really is.
88:54And now I feel like I'm seeing the world the way it is.
88:58Again, just experience. It's called wisdom. Actually, it's called wisdom.
89:01Steve, it's called wisdom. We're getting there. We're getting a couple of grays.
89:05So yeah, I have I have a few grays up here.
89:09You can see that I have a couple of grays.
89:12You know, I live a pretty easygoing life, so I don't have that many gray hairs.
89:17But you work in fantasy football for a living.
89:19It's if you have gray hairs, I mean, something comes with the territory.
89:23Well, no, actually, you shouldn't. If you do have gray hairs, you need to stop taking it so seriously.
89:29It's but I mean, we but you know, I'm able to take this very seriously and not get stressed out about it.
89:36And because I'm the pod father, Josh Downs is now the type of player that I appreciate to such a high level
89:42that I want him everywhere in every league. It's like he's in the center of the Venn diagram for me, where he's going to get all the targets.
89:51He's actually a great athlete. He's under the radar.
89:53He's underappreciated. He's on a team that has maximal target consolidation with an underrated quarterback.
89:58And but but there's actually continuity there between him and the quarterback of the offensive line and and the other top target
90:04earner on the team, which is not Alec Pierce.
90:07It's actually Tyler Warren. So you're seeing incredible you're seeing incredible target consolidation.
90:11I think the most target consolidation around the league because Alec Pierce is not participating in any of the offseason program.
90:17So every target is going to Warren or Downs, Warren or Downs and some JT.
90:22Don't forget about JT. JT's gone up in our dynasty rankings recently because it's like, hey, listen, the math is the math
90:29and JT is going to catch more passes this year.
90:32Just watch out for it. So, you know, you have a guy that's small and I'd be like, man, I don't know.
90:38This is a Wondell Robinson situation. And be like, no, no, no, no, no, no.
90:43This is not a Wondell Robinson situation. Josh Downs set the record for receptions for as a sophomore in all of college football history.
90:50He's the most productive by some measures. Josh Downs, the most productive sophomore in the history of college football at the wide receiver position.
90:57That's what an incredible, mind-blowing talent he is. His ability to get open, his ability to squeeze the football.
91:03He can even get downfield. He runs a sub 4-540.
91:06He has an 88th percentile burst score and an 87th percentile agility score.
91:10And like you said with Marv, man, year three wide receivers, like this is the year to break out.
91:16And this is a guy that like I've had Josh Downs in starting lineups.
91:20I haven't had Alec Pierce in starting lineups. I don't trust him.
91:23I didn't like the athletic profile that Alec Pierce brought.
91:26I thought the contract that he got was insane.
91:29Like I really like Josh Downs and especially this year.
91:32He's going in what? Double digit rounds ADP wise.
91:35Like the values there. He has solid upside. Like I, there's a lot to like about Josh Downs this year.
91:41There's everything to like. Yeah. There's everything to like about Josh Downs and equally everything to like about Tyler Warren.
91:47Tyler Warren is going to outproduce Colston Loveland. I think Tyler Warren, for all the reasons we talked about a few minutes
91:54ago, Tyler Warren's going to outproduce Trey McBride. And that was one of my learnings.
91:58When I fully digested our draft kit, I was like, holy shit.
92:02Tyler Warren's going to outproduce Trey McBride. When you look at that team environment versus the team environment in Arizona, what we're
92:08talking about here, and you look at the talent profiles of this guy where Tyler Warren is just getting started.
92:14Tyler Warren has massive massive, massive upside as a top 15 pick and Josh Downs.
92:19I mean, he was a day two pick. He wasn't like a late round guy.
92:23And the only reason he fell that that far is because there's a bias against guys that are that small.
92:30But I mean, this is a, this is a rare opportunity where a team really only has two receivers and Alec Pierce
92:36likely not going to be ready for week one.
92:39So when week one you're, you could see a 30% target share for both Warren and Downs week one.
92:45It's insane to think about. It sounds crazy. But it's when you actually sit down and you pencil it out.
92:51It's like, oh my, oh my God. The targets have to go somewhere and he's talented enough to like do something with it.
92:58We've seen it the last two years. Like he can put up points.
93:01So he was a solid wide receiver to the back half of last year.
93:06Like I, like I said, I really liked Josh Downs.
93:09And then we get to Tyler Warren. Like this, I didn't expect the Tyler Warren thing last year.
93:14I slept on Tyler Warren. My apologies. Big mistake.
93:17I, I, yeah, I ain't sleeping this year. Like Tyler Warren and where he's going in drafts this year in the fifth round.
93:24I am scooping him up in every single draft possible.
93:27I don't care. Like it's one of those things where in best ball, I'm fine.
93:31If you don't get Daniel Jones, now you will get Daniel Jones.
93:35If you draft Tyler Warren and Josh Downs, you're going to be targeting Daniel Jones, but you don't need to get him.
93:42You get, you could be perfectly happy with a lineup that has two receivers on it, but not the quarterback just because it's fine.
93:49It's perfectly fine. Yeah. Because even if it is Riley Leonard, that's perfect.
93:53Riley Leonard, the guy that he can't hit, if it is Riley Leonard and probably, I think similar to what we talked
93:59about earlier with, you know, players we know are not going to play 17 games.
94:04Marvin Harrison Jr. ain't playing 17 games. Daniel Jones ain't playing 17 games, right?
94:08Riley Leonard is going to be out there and who's going to be throwing the ball to short intermediate downs.
94:14And Warren Downs is going to go for top 10 yak, right?
94:18This is the year guys like Josh Downs gobble up the yak.
94:21And sometimes they have an outlier yak season and Josh Downs can get an outlier yak season and outproduce Marvin Harrison Jr.
94:28So I'm telling you, you have Warren and Downs together could outproduce Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison.
94:33It sounds silly. I'm fully with you. That's there's no surprise here.
94:37First of all, it's not, it's not, it's not our baseline projection, but there is a world, we'll say 25% chance that
94:43that's what happens, that that plays out that way.
94:46And that's 25% chance where the vast majority of fantasy analysts would say 0% chance.
94:51And I'm saying no, 20, 25, 30% chance Warren and Downs outproduce Marvin Trey McBride.
94:55I think they can both be solid starting options in any roster this year.
94:59I love the value on both men. I really do.
95:02I thought them giving Alec Pierce the contract was a little crazy.
95:06I don't think he warranted the extension. It was absolutely insane.
95:09I was like, what the hell is this? Why are they giving this guy over a hundred million dollars?
95:15Who's done essentially nothing for the team? Like Josh Downs, like what's up point?
95:19Yeah. That part. When I saw that contract come in, this is what I was thinking about Colts fans.
95:25Sad news, man. Yeah. I mean, it was rough, but, and especially when you look at like where he's going in drafts,
95:32he's going in like the 13th round, Josh Downs, something like that.
95:35It's too late. He's free. He's moving up. He's moving up.
95:39There's a lot of buzz about him out there.
95:41A lot of news reports. There's new news reports all the time coming out that he's moving all around the formation.
95:48And, and, and, and I hate it. Cause I'm like, we, we, we, we, we knew this was happening weeks ago.
95:54We've been talking about Josh Downs for months. Now you're letting everyone that was just casually paying attention to football news to know what's going on.
96:02And that's a little bit frustrating. I got to tell you a little bit frustrating.
96:06Let's see when the news came out player profile.com slash news 17 hours ago.
96:11So 17 hours ago, this was posted on player profile.com slash news.
96:14Look at this. Okay. Josh Downs lining up all over the place in expanded role.
96:19Okay. Of course he is because of course he is.
96:22Yeah. This is not a one-dimensional slot receiver. He happens to be small, but he is a different player than Wanda Robinson.
96:28I love the production profile out of Josh Downs, man.
96:31Like this is, he might be like, he's going to be a solid pick, man.
96:36Like wide receiver to lock and loaded. I think all year long the targets, like, I don't know why his value is so low.
96:43If the targets are so guaranteed, like it doesn't make sense.
96:46Let's talk about some, some deeper wide receivers. Another guy that the news has, has come out just a drumbeat of positive
96:53news, especially in light of lad McConkie's hamstring injury is Trey Harris.
96:57Have you dug into Trey Harris at all? Uh, I have not.
97:00So I would be loved to hear your opinion on him.
97:04Okay. Yeah. Trey Harris. I haven't touched. Trey Harris is very interesting in that he was a dominant college receiver in the sec at old miss.
97:11Okay. He had a high dominator rating. And he also, he ran the full route tree.
97:16He produced against man coverage. He produced against zone.
97:19Right. And he ran real routes. He wasn't just getting schemed into space.
97:23He wasn't just running like some of these college systems.
97:26It's like, it's a button hook or a fade.
97:29He's not, he's not doing that. That's what they said about Chris, like Chris bell, like, Oh, Chris bell.
97:34He's either, he's just running button hooks and fades.
97:37And then, yeah, he didn't have the most diverse route tree.
97:40Trey Harris ran a diverse professional route tree came out early.
97:44Right. And all of the, all of the, the, the, the reports coming out of Los Angeles camp are that he is excelling, that he is a sleeper.
97:52We're already getting people like Albert Breer, right? We're not talking about fringe beat reporters.
97:57No one's heard of. We're talking about like sports illustrated Albert Breer.
98:00Like if Albert Breer is talking about Trey McBride, there's something to it, right?
98:05Quinton Johnston's there. Quinton Johnson's going to put up another 800 yard season.
98:08That's what Quinton Johnston does. Lad McConkie is injured.
98:11Lad McConkie tweaked a hamstring at the exact wrong time.
98:14Now Trey Harris is going to get all those snaps.
98:17He is super versatile. He can play the Quinton Johnson role.
98:21He can play the Lad McConkie role. I mean, I went back and I looked at every target, you know, I looked,
98:27I looked at video replay of every target. And again, he was showing off that incredible, diverse route inventory that he has
98:34at his disposal already at an early age. And he, again, athleticism, explosiveness, 128.0, 81st percentile burst score to go along with
98:40a 73rd percentile college dominator in the SEC. They draft him in the second round.
98:45They use him enough, but when he, again, when they did target him last year, they were in clutch situations.
98:51A lot for, for first downs, a lot were, were, were difficult catches in traffic.
98:56And so he's been building trust, you know, a healthy off season to just continue to get acclimated and get, get sort
99:02of deployed in different areas of the field. And so this is one of those offenses where we're trying to get exposure
99:09to the chargers and, and who's inexpensive with upside Trey Harris.
99:12You're, that might be the best scenario that you just laid out is trying to find value on the offense that we want pieces of.
99:20That's what we're talking about today. It's the whole theme of the show.
99:24Yeah. Yeah. And then especially given like the lab McConkie injury and again, like this was an issue the year before that.
99:30And then, but yeah, Trey Harris, like for that value and what we were expecting from that offense, like it's worth taking a shot and looking at.
99:38So I like it. I'm not mad at it.
99:41Under the radar news item that came out on player profile or news Colby young Colby young is someone that we need to monitor.
99:48Colby young is now in the running to be the wide receiver three in Cincinnati.
99:53And this is an offense we want exposure to period.
99:56That's it. You want exposure. We're on the top offenses.
99:59We have the Cincinnati Bengals projected to lead the league in pass attempts.
100:03And so having the third receiver on a team that does not have 12 personnel as a featured grouping, it's just Mike Gusecki, right?
100:10Mike Gusecki and Eric all again, this is just like the Tennessee Titans, you know, bottom five, a tight end talent profile.
100:17On their team, right? The bottom five, tight end group Colby young, fourth round pick 95th percentile speed score.
100:22Huge, big bodied guy. He is essentially T Higgins.
100:25They're just, I don't know what they're like. Hey, we have T Higgins backup, but what they could do is they could
100:32play one of these two guys at X. And then, then this tells if they want to put him on the field,
100:38this tells me they were, they're going to try to move Jamar chase more into the slot.
100:43That's fun for Jamar chase. It's hard to be higher on Jamar chase, but you can see the logic of why they might want to do that.
100:52And Colby Young is interesting. Yep. And this is a guy that my Georgia insiders, like we're telling me about, like keep an eye on this guy.
101:00He's big. You could potentially take over that outside role and allow for some more versatility for Jamar chase, line them up outside mismatches and all that.
101:08But yeah, big dude, man. These are the kind of wide receivers that I like.
101:12You're like big six foot five, go up and get it in the corner of the end zone guys.
101:18So this is a name that I've been keeping an eye on, especially from down here in Florida being so close to
101:25Georgia, but I like him a lot. He plays hard.
101:28He's a good dude to like watch out for.
101:31I like it. He was relatively productive at Miami before transferring to Georgia.
101:34And then he was just buried at Georgia. And then he only played in eight games last year, but his catch rate was 73%.
101:42Like he just wasn't that heavily used. He was never fully integrated into the offense and that's okay.
101:47That's how you can find some value is a guy just gets lost in the shuffle at a big program.
101:53Lad McConkie wasn't that productive at Georgia either. That's why I was like surprised.
101:57Everyone was so high on lad when he came out.
102:00I was like, I like him, but I don't like him the way everyone is like potential third round redraft leagues.
102:07I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. That's a little crazy.
102:10As soon as I saw he was competing with Yoshivas for targets as the wide receiver three, I was like, but yeah, I was like slap my forehead.
102:18Yoshivas is a guy in the deepest dynasty leagues.
102:21I'm never picking up Yoshivas and I should be just based on based on his role in the offense.
102:27I should be, but I refuse because he's, I know he's the ultimate Jag wide receiver.
102:32So then I should also be open to someone coming in and competing with him.
102:36And that's Colby Young. No, I love it. Especially he's going undrafted in any format this year for, I mean, what you potentially could get out of him.
102:45Like it's, there's a lot to be liked there, especially for a red zone target like that, like big dude.
102:51It's a great stash. I mean, I really don't like to draft late round wide receivers in rookie drafts, but this particular
102:57year, the running back position is so shallow. There is so few running backs even drafted.
103:02I mean, these drafts where third rounds over and all the drafted running backs are gone.
103:07Like Heidenreich's gone. Yeah. That's what I saw. He's just crazy.
103:10Running backs are going hot and heavy, man. They're all gone.
103:14Jam Miller's gone. So I'm drafting in the fourth round of these rookie drafts and all the running backs are gone.
103:20They're all gone. And Jamari Taylor runs a four seven.
103:23And it's like, what am I going to do here?
103:26I'm going to draft another tight end, you know, I mean, like, but what if it's not tight end premium?
103:32Well, I don't know. Suddenly there's a couple of wide receivers where I'm like, I can make a case for this guy.
103:39I make a case for Cyrus Allen in Kansas city.
103:42I could see this happening. And he's in the situation for the case to be made.
103:47There's a couple of wide receivers, rookie wide receivers that I would draft in the later rounds or that I'm picking up
103:53in these dynasty leagues where in past years, I just like, don't have the roster space or the inclination to even entertain
104:00rookie receivers that are late round picks, undrafted might get out of here.
104:04That it, the probability is so slim, but in the case of a Colby young, it's like, well, this is the highest
104:10scoring, highest volume pass attack in the league. This guy does have a pedigree.
104:15He was targeted by Georgia. They wanted him right.
104:17And they paid for him with an IL money to transfer from Miami.
104:21Interesting. Right. He was a day to pick almost.
104:24Yeah. He was almost a day to pick round four.
104:27You know, that's early day three Cincinnati appreciated him to the fact that they didn't want to let him slip into the fifth round.
104:34So there's, you start to, there's always one or two receivers you can build a case for, but most of the time
104:41there's enough running backs where you're just stockpiling those guys and you never get around rostering guys like Colby.
104:47This year's rookie class is so shallow. That I find myself rostering Colby young and a bunch of teams and I'm, and I'm happy to do it.
104:55Now, a guy I have ahead of him is in the same state, but on the polar opposite end of the spectrum offensively.
105:02And that's Isaiah bond bond, Isaiah bond. It was a lot of, a lot of, a lot of buzz, but Isaiah bond right now.
105:09I'm surprised there wasn't more last year when he got drafted, undrafted by Cleveland.
105:13I mean, they are designing plays for him routinely.
105:16Okay. And he has been the standout in camp.
105:19And even when they talk about Casey conception, they talk also about Isaiah bond, right?
105:23And he was, you read here, he was the Browns most improved player according to Todd Monkin.
105:28Okay. And that, you know, no Cleveland receiver was targeted more than Isaiah bond throughout the spring.
105:33That's a quote from Daniel or Fuse Lee or Fuse from ESPN.
105:37Well, I think going back and looking at their wide receiver room, like if Isaiah would have came out, which is a
105:44regular prospect, I think he has the highest pedigree and talent out of their wide receiver room right now, which is why
105:50I was surprised when he went undrafted and it was basically unmentioned to everybody, but he was coming off the injury.
105:57So like it, I, we were expecting it to take another year for him to get back on the field, but for
106:03him to come out and be improved like that and take a step forward for a blue chip prospect like this, like
106:10we, it's good to see, especially as a Cleveland fan, like we need something on the outside, man.
106:15We need anything. So, I mean, this is just another drop of the bucket leading to tilting the, the tendencies of fantasy gamers.
106:22Okay. Again, two, three, four years ago, you hear about domestic violence.
106:26You hear about incidents with police, take that guy off your board.
106:29Like we were burned so badly by Josh Gordon.
106:32And that wasn't even, those weren't even like violent incidents.
106:35That was just, those are just controlled substance violations.
106:38And, but then you have really serious incidents like with Henry rugs and you go down the list and like, there's so many.
106:45And then most recently with Rashi rice getting suspended, but you start to look at it.
106:50So many of these players where there were allegations made and there was the expectation of a suspension looming and nothing happened, right?
106:57Josh Jacobs, Gino Smith. There's not nearly the freak out that we would have seen just even a year ago because we're now getting trained.
107:04We're all learning and getting trained to the NFL is going to, is going to hurry up and wait.
107:10And they're going to let, let the investigation play itself out.
107:13And then they'll make an assessment. And even then they may or may not take any action.
107:18Yeah. It seems like there's almost like a six to eight month waiting period after any decisions made before the NFL even makes another decision.
107:26So that's right. See, that's the thing. Even when there is a verdict, then there's months before there's even a ruling at
107:32the end, then another season can roll. Why? It is like the Supreme court of the NFL council still has to make their ruling.
107:40We have to reprogram ourselves to take more risks on players that have had incidents off the field, even those that are involving law enforcement.
107:47And so Isaiah bond falls completely out of the draft.
107:50And when you hear that, it sounds so serious.
107:53Like what we know must be dwarfed by what the NFL knows if they're not even going to draft him.
107:59And then all of a sudden you look up and you're like, well, wait a second.
108:04He hasn't been suspended and no one's talking about this.
108:07Now this was a really big deal a year ago.
108:10Now it's like it never happened. And he's the standout in camp and he's hogging all the targets and he's making Jerry
108:16Judy an afterthought and he's challenging Casey Concepcion. And he's the reason why Denzel Boston is probably going to be a bust.
108:23I have so much the confusion with the Cleveland wide receiver room.
108:27Cause everything I hear is this guy's popping off.
108:29This guy's popping off. This guy's popping off. Like I'm not, who's the pop guy?
108:34Cause the number one receiver is going to be Harold Fannin jr.
108:38The number two receiver is going to be Casey Concepcion.
108:41And then the number three receiver is up in the air.
108:44The number three receivers up in the air. The number three receiver could be Denzel Boston.
108:49Probably not because he can't separate. It could be Jerry Judy, but probably not because he's dust and he doesn't want to be there.
108:56He's not built for this. So just by process of elimination, Judy's not built for this.
109:01Doesn't want to be there and had his career ruined by Steve Smith.
109:05By the way, Steve Smith came at Jerry Judy.
109:07He was never the same. Steve Smith came at the pod father and only got stronger, bigger and stronger.
109:13I love Steve Smith, man. He has great takes, especially when it comes to wide receivers.
109:18Like that's who I go to for wide receiver information.
109:21So I don't like his takes about the pod father, but otherwise he's fine.
109:25But yeah, I mean, that's there's, I mean, it's been so difficult being a Cleveland fan.
109:30Let me just say that it's just a headache, man.
109:33And we keep waiting for the next one. Keep waiting for the next one.
109:37I'm telling you, you got to draft Isaiah bond.
109:40This isn't just like, Oh, I only like him in this one very specific best ball league.
109:45Oh no. Isaiah bond is a smash across the board.
109:48He's a dog, man. Yeah. That's like, I don't post a lot on X, but I posted last year when they picked him up.
109:55I was like, this is news. Like people need to be aware about this.
110:00And like, no one said anything. Yeah. I mean, you, you, we are player profile.com slash news player profile.com slash news.
110:06We've got it. We've, we've got the quotes from the coach.
110:09We've got the observations from the beat reporters. It's all right there on the Isaiah bond player page.
110:15The best player pages in the history of sports media are at player profiler.com.
110:19We've had a great show. We've had a great show.
110:22Tell, tell the people where they can find your content.
110:25Absolutely guys. I appreciate you watching. First of all, but we'll be on YouTube.
110:29YouTube OG fantasy football. We're on X OG fantasy football.
110:32You know, still working. Just a couple of guys, blue collar guys trying to make a dream come true, man.
110:38But high quality fantasy content, rankings analysis, you know, roster construction is what I like a lot.
110:43So just learn how to play the game of fantasy football, man.
110:47Not so necessarily as many stats, like stats or stats or stats, but I know how you play the game.
110:53Like let's talk about that podcast going to show up in the player profiler podcast feed.
110:58Make sure you're subscribed to the player profiler podcast feed Spotify, iTunes, Amazon everywhere.
111:02Yeah. We're going to get, we're getting plugged in here.
111:05So, okay. More news. Oscar Delp is going to be involved.
111:08Okay. Also we know Juwan Johnson's not going anywhere.
111:11He's in a super prime. Also, we know that Chris Olave led the league in air yards.
111:16And also there's a, there's a guy named Devon Vele.
111:19He is essentially an older version of Trey Harris.
111:22He very much has that Trey Harris game where he squeezes the football in traffic.
111:26He seems to always be available, has that, you know, complete route tree where he can win in all quadrants of the
111:33football field and it completely and utterly disregarded. I love him as one of my favorite wide receiver threes.
111:39Again, it's one of those teams where they don't have jumbo packages.
111:42Like Oscar Delp is the other tight end. They don't have one of these Charlie Kohler, Dawson Knox prototypical 12 personnel blocking tight ends.
111:50So because of that, you're going to see more three receivers.
111:53You're, we're going to see a lot of three receiver.
111:56We're going to see a lot of three receiver sets in new Orleans.
112:00I don't know how to get the math to work for Jordan Tyson this year.
112:04How do we get the math to work for Jordan Tyson this year?
112:08I don't know. Cause like everyone, he has to be the wide receiver too.
112:13And it would have to be probably a top half offense in the NFL.
112:17They will be, I think they're going to be, they're going to be a good offense.
112:22Tyler shucks a smash. I mean, he's going to have to get 70 receptions and a thousand plus yards and probably five
112:28touchdowns, which for a rookie is the odds of that happening are not very good.
112:33The presence of veille, the presence of Juwan Johnson.
112:35And now this buzz about Oscar Delp and Oscar Delp was an athletic receiving tight end.
112:40And then now we have Alvin Camara, you know, Alvin Camara shows up in his saints uniform and then he doesn't even
112:47need to like, he goes to the grocery store in his saints uniform.
112:51Like everyone sees him around town in new Orleans, wearing his saints uniform.
112:55And he's like once in a new Orleans. Yeah.
112:58I'm coming back baby. And they're like, but I heard they don't want you.
113:02I don't care, but they don't want, I don't care.
113:05They're getting me too bad. I've been here long enough.
113:08They're getting Alvin Camara this year. So I mean, then in the saints, they see all these other teams were like, Oh,
113:14we got these young explosive tight ends. You don't think they want to be part of that conversation too.
113:20Like, Oh, look at us. We can draft these young tight ends too.
113:24Look what we can do. All right. So go, go Jen.
113:27You have people in the chat that are just, I think they're just saying things to say them because they just want to set me up.
113:35Jordan Tyson. If Olave's blood clots rear their head, they're not going to, that was evaluated as a one-time occurrence.
113:41We talked to the assistant medical doctor, team doctor.
113:44We talked to the assistant medical team doctor for the Broncos specifically about Chris Olave.
113:48And these tend to be just inexplicable lightning bolt events.
113:51The blood clot happens for unknown reasons. It's a series of unfortunate events, right?
113:56It's just, like I said, unpredictable and likely not to be replicated event that occurred inside his body.
114:01They intervene. They dissolve it. He shows up for mandatory training camp with a clean bill of health, ready to go.
114:07There's no problems. There's no problems. And there will not be more blood clots with Chris Olave.
114:13Certainly there could be, but my prediction is there won't be.
114:16I don't think we're going to hear any more about blood clots, but I love the Q tag.
114:21I love when you're drafting. Again, I was just in a startup and I thought there was no chance I was going to get Chris Olave.
114:29And then because of the Q tag, he almost made it back to me.
114:33Almost. I was like, Oh, I could get it.
114:36Yeah. Middle of the fourth round. I was like, they're not going to, cause I had, you know, I had to draft Carnall Tate obviously.
114:44So then, then I'm like, Oh my God, is, is Olave going?
114:47And I'm like, Oh, you always want to be open.
114:50You want to be open to the universe, making things happen for you.
114:54So on the league, I won my championship last year.
114:57It was JSN in the third round. And I was like, well, what is this happening?
115:02I was like, okay, give me JSN in the third round.
115:05So wow. Yeah. We play with dumb dumbs. That's, that's what happened.
115:09No, I'm just saying that that's pretty amazing. Uh, bank that bank that value.
115:13My friend love that. I didn't get him, but it was close.
115:17And he was like the number one player on the ADP board.
115:20And I'm like, this is the Q tag. This is, you just can't draft the guy because of the Q tag.
115:27So there's a Q tag on Laporta. Like he's top of the board.
115:31There's a Q tag on Bucky Irving. There's a Q tag on Chris Olave.
115:35No one wants to draft the Q tag. That's why I have so much Patrick Mahomes.
115:40See, I actually don't mind drafting the Q tag because you usually get a discount on it.
115:45And if you have two IR spots, definitely take it and hopefully he comes back healthy later in the season.
115:51I love the Q tag and double digit rounds.
115:54One more tight end situation, tight end room that I think is interesting.
115:58So Oscar Delp isn't going to challenge Jawan Johnson for targets this year, but he is very interesting.
116:03He is a high quality, uh, he's a high quality receiving tight end.
116:07And he's a great dynasty stash, especially in PPR and especially in tight end premium.
116:11Oh my God. I love Oscar Delp in dynasty, but not in any other format.
116:16But when you see those news items, it's not necessarily about drafting the guy they're talking about.
116:21It's about running it through a prism of, okay, what does this mean for this team?
116:26And then you, it leads you down the road of wait, I think we're, we, we, we can't be drafting Jordan Tyson hardly ever this year.
116:34It leads you to a Jordan Tyson fade as opposed to being somehow bullish on Oscar Delp.
116:39And I think that's indicative in the ADPs this year too.
116:42I think Jordan Tyson's like 15th, 13th round, something like that.
116:46Like almost every day that goes by, it used to be that Tyson and Tate were adjacent like, and also their lifetime
116:52value ratings were, were, uh, super close on player profile and dynasty deluxe.
116:56And almost every day, like there's this, there's this widening of the disparity between Tate and Tyson every day that goes by.
117:03It's getting more and more sour. It just keeps getting worse and worse.
117:07Yep. Well, there are two ships passing in the night.
117:10I mean, one guy keeps going up, one guy keeps going down.
117:13Tate's going up baby in Los Angeles. Terrence Ferguson is the tight end that they are invested in.
117:19The team clearly wants Ferguson to be the tight end one there.
117:22Everyone knows Higby's dust. I hope Higby gets caught.
117:25I would love for Higby to be, he's not going to be because they love now.
117:30They love 13 personnel. If a team wants to play a lot of 13 personnel, they're not going to let Tyler Higby go.
117:37That's not what they're going to do. He's kind of the Dawson Knox of that team.
117:42But what could happen is that Ferguson gets the Parkinson targets.
117:45Yeah. That's what we're hoping for. I mean, if you look at his athleticism in the 2025 class, Ferguson was the second
117:52most athletic tight end in that class. Do you, do you, do you have any, uh, any, any, any gut feeling about
117:58what's going to happen with Ferguson versus Parkinson? If I'm doing dynasty, I'm okay.
118:02Taking a shot on them and hoping it pans out 21 yards of reception, Steve, 466 air yards.
118:08The guy gets down the seam, Steve. It's I I'm not sure.
118:11Like it's, I don't trust it. That's the thing is it's hard to tell who the targets are going to week to week.
118:18It's hard been hard to tell the last couple of years.
118:22Like you like upside. We like to take advantage of ambiguous backfields, but also ambiguous tight end rooms.
118:27This is an ambiguous tight end room. And the upside is incredible.
118:31If someone athletic, they can get down the seam can also command the targets inside the five.
118:36They have the potential to be a top 10 tight end in fantasy.
118:40And that's tight. That's Terrence Ferguson, man. Tight end premium leagues.
118:43You're in the FFPC. You gotta be stashing on your bench.
118:46Terrence Ferguson. I'd rather have Terrence Ferguson than almost every other stash wide receiver in tight end premium.
118:52Give me, give me Terrence Ferguson, man. I think you're checking enough of the boxes for me to be like, okay, yep, yep, yep, yep.
118:59Elite offense. He's young. He's explosive target consolidation, elite tight end centric offense.
119:03They're a tight end centric offense inside the five.
119:06I'm starting to come around. So I'll keep an eye out throughout the summer and I guess we'll keep an ear to
119:13the ground, but I love the, I'm a Sean McVay guy.
119:16He's my second favorite coach in the NFL Ferguson.
119:19Well, look at it. Look at the news reports keep coming out that they want to feature Ferguson, Ferguson being groomed for 2026 breakout.
119:26I mean, listen, man, I it's, it's June. Sometimes you're going to miss some news items, but I'm just showing you this.
119:33I'm showing everybody this because you can't miss this stuff.
119:36These are the new news items that really matter, really matter.
119:39Now we're in LA. I wish there were also nude items, but yeah, news items.
119:43I mean, and then it's like every, every few weeks there's a handful of players where I've told the news desk, listen,
119:50we can't keep posting about Josh downs. Like we can't keep Josh downs to be featured.
119:55Josh downs all over the place. Josh downs, Josh downs.
119:58I'm like, listen, like we got to mix it up.
120:01People get it. Like if you want to put an extra pull quote in an old news item, go ahead.
120:07Just to, just to further the point, but I can't have all these news.
120:11We can't be every other news item be about Josh downs, Terrence Ferguson's getting to that place where I'm like, listen guys,
120:18we can't do another Terrence Ferguson's being groomed or is where the upside is or who the coaches want to step up.
120:24And, but that's what we're hearing. So there's certain guys like that.
120:28I would call drumbeat players. That's the exact word I would use.
120:32Yeah. Right. So Trey Harris is a drumbeat player.
120:34Josh downs is a drumbeat player. Terrence Ferguson is a drumbeat player.
120:38And you, you, you have to react to that again, because beat reporters don't really know anything and they're just leveraging access
120:45when they come out and are saying, Oh, make some ridiculous prediction about a player.
120:49I don't internalize that very heavily, but when you start hearing coaches singling out players in press conferences and you know, when,
120:56when a beat reporter sits down and does like a, a fulsome review of the team and Hey, I went to all
121:02the practices or as that most of the practices and you know, Isaiah bond is getting all the targets.
121:08Like is it another drumbeat player? It's like, okay, that is a data point we need to process.
121:14And it's got to matter. It does matter. And so we're going to make it matter.
121:18And it's going to be reflected in the projections, like in our projections, Isaiah bonds target share for 2026 Cleveland Browns continues to escalate.
121:26And if you disagree with that, please feel free, put it in the comments, disagree.
121:30Tell me why that's not true. Or email me podfather wrote a wonder world.com.
121:34I'm happy to know why you think that's, that's the wrong approach.
121:38Why you need to lock in what you think the target shares are going to be for every player in March and
121:45nothing that anyone says publicly matters or no observations from camp matter.
121:48No, actually they do. They do. They, they, they do matter.
121:52There's a, is, but if it's a coach quote, it matters more than a beat reporter quote.
121:57And it's, and if it's a beat reporter observation that is backed up by other beat reporters, that is essentially statistical.
122:03If it's, if it is a statistical observation from multiple beat reporters, like for example, Isaiah bonds, target share in practice, that
122:10means more than a beat reporter prediction. Yeah, correct.
122:12Like just a feeling, right? So I'm always on the lookout for data from practice and I'm always on the lookout for players.
122:19Coaches are singling out. Yeah. I think it was just, just one that kind of just went over my head, man.
122:26But yeah, like, especially given his value this year, like you don't have to reach for a tight end.
122:31If you miss out on one of the top three or four guys, like I like it a lot.
122:37There's a lot to like, you know, good offense, young guy, like you said, explosive.
122:42And if he gets worked in enough to like start taking over a bigger chunk of that role, like it's the opportunity
122:48is there to be a top 10 tight end.
122:51And there's not that many that you can feel confident with that are going to be reliable output all year long.
122:57Yeah. There's only a handful of pure upside tight ends that are not rookies.
123:02It's like Elijah Arroyo, but he actually has a more difficult path with AJ Barner in front of him than Terrence Ferguson
123:08does with Tyler Higbee and Colby Parkinson. So yeah.
123:11So it's like, I'm looking for upside at the tight end position because sometimes I've been a tight end premium league and
123:18I just miss out on Tyler Warren and Brock Bowers.
123:21So if I miss out on Tyler Warren and Brock Bowers, I tend to just wait, I'm not going to, I'm not going to get value trapped into.
123:29I'll take one of the old white dudes in the 10th round and pair them with a rookie Tucker craft or Sam Laporta.
123:36No, thanks. I'm not doing it. I'm not going to pay up for those guys.
123:40No, even if it's tight end premium, no way I'm staying out of the middle.
123:45So when instead what I'll try to do is I'll try to go Goddard Stowers and like Travis Kelsey and Terrence Ferguson, Ferguson, Ferguson, or Ferguson.
123:53Yes. You go Ferguson, Ferguson. That's better. You go Ferguson, Ferguson, and then the Eagles tight ends.
123:58So I know I can plug in Goddard any given week and get a touchdown.
124:02I can plug in Ferguson any given week and get a bunch of catches.
124:07Thank that for tight end premium leagues. Great. Get the production from a Ferguson, from a Goddard and then Terrence Ferguson and
124:13a guy like Stowers and then another rookie like Raritan or Oscar Delp.
124:17And then you get like a, you got, in that case, you're like a core.
124:22You have like three upside tight ends. One's a rookie, one's a sophomore or two are rookies.
124:27One's a sophomore. Then you have two much older players in their thirties who, you know, we're just going to produce.
124:33Like for example, there's vacated targets in Baltimore, especially vacated targets from a tight end position.
124:38So old dusty Mark Andrews probably has one more fantasy relevant season in him.
124:42We know that there's vacated targets in Philadelphia, don't we?
124:45So you can see Dallas Goddard and we know Travis Kelsey is Travis Kelsey.
124:50If he's out there, like just like Cristiano Ronaldo, he's going to score goals.
124:54He's going to score touchdowns. He's going to, he's going to command targets.
124:58So you can just completely stay out of the middle and get the guys on both ends of the age spectrum.
125:04That's my recommendation. If you don't go and move up to get the Uber elite top five, Tyler Warren, Brock Bowers, wait,
125:11you know, wait, let 10 rounds go by and then start to stockpile tight ends, get it, get a nice nucleus of like five tight ends.
125:18And you know, you can get, you get one out of there.
125:22Yeah. Every week you're going to get one guy that you can trust to produce, but then you also have the future
125:29of the tight end position and a guy like Stowers, a guy like Delp, a guy like Terrence Ferguson, because we're going to be having, imagine the conversation.
125:37He doesn't break out this year. We could easily be having a conversation that's even more passionate and more certain about a breakout for Ferguson the following year.
125:46It's not over yet, man. To that point, like if we come back and he breaks out, he's going to go as
125:52a top three pick next year in drafts. Can you imagine?
125:56Yeah. Imagine that dude being on that offense with his profile and build.
125:59If he breaks out, he's going to go probably in the top four rounds.
126:04I mean, we're getting him here in the double digit rounds in tight end if, if he breaks out.
126:09So I like the opportunity and the athletic upside.
126:12Yeah. I, there's certainly a touts of Max Claire in the chat.
126:16Max Claire is a rookie. So Max Claire is probably not going to produce this year any more than Elijah Arroyo produced last year.
126:23But the other problem is Max Claire is not athletic.
126:26Like Max Claire is a, you know, at his best would be like a Jason Witten, Pat Friermuth, Keith Miller comp tight end.
126:33Yeah. Yep. And for a guy that's not that athletic, it's such a, it's such a tall order to become Jason Witten.
126:40Everything has to sort of fall into place. You have to be an incredible athlete in the ways that are not tied to explosiveness.
126:47That is just very rare. And so typically you're looking more like a Pat Friermuth level profile.
126:52And again, that's a lower ceiling profile. And then a guy is a rookie.
126:56So he's with a low profile or a low ceiling profile.
127:00Yeah. I'm not that inspired by Max Claire. There are other guys like Oscar Delp and Eli Raritan that I'm more interested
127:06in, in rookie drafts, especially tight end premium. And I am not using the fact they used a day to pick on
127:13Claire as a reason to get off Ferguson. When I look at that tight end room, I see one big time athlete at the position.
127:20And that just happens to be the one guy, all the coaches want to siphon targets to and want to step up
127:27and be the leader of that tight end room.
127:30So that's the guy I'm drafting. Yep. I agree.
127:32I think that's well stated. I'll get you out of here, buddy.
127:36You've been great, Steve. I appreciate it, man. I'm down to do this all day.
127:41So subscribe to your channel on YouTube. It's an OG fantasy football.
127:44Yep. In case you forgot. Having your podcast, you know, part of our, you know, overall offering with when the player profile
127:51or network gets you more exposure, get your name out there.
127:54People need to know you. Absolutely. Appreciate it. It's been great being here, man.
127:58Great talking to people. It's good to be like in a fantasy world, man.
128:03It's good to talk to people with like minds and it's I'm excited.
128:06It's gonna be a good year. A lot of fantasy stuff happening.
128:10When I first got started, because I'm such a nerd, and I love spreadsheets.
128:14Yeah. There were hours and hours and hours I would spend just writing, calculating, you know, compiling, you know, data, information, rankings, thoughts, analysis about fantasy football.
128:22And my wife would say, aren't you lonely? And I was like, well, I wasn't until you mentioned it.
128:28Right. I was, I was perfectly content to be in my own little fantasy number world.
128:33But now that you mentioned it, it would be nice to, to kind of, to, uh, to collaborate more.
128:39And that helped inspire me to do the podcast.
128:41What was I was, uh, I was a little bit too much in my own head.
128:46Uh, and it just, at that moment, podcasting started to become, you know, sort of a viable medium and it made sense to start one.
128:54Uh, so whenever I see guys getting started, they clearly have a good voice and a good approach and, and, and know what they're talking about.
129:02I'm like, let's jump on a show, man. If it goes two hours, it goes two hours.
129:07This one might go two and a half hours.
129:09I didn't realize two hours ago. Bye. My wife came home from work.
129:13She's back here talking shit behind the microphone. So what's she saying?
129:17Stupid. All your nerd stuff, your fantasy football. She won the league last year.
129:21Who the fuck is she to say that? Uh, huh?
129:24Oh, she, she Latina. She, you might get bit back.
129:27No, no, no. It's two and a half hours.
129:30She'll never make it the end of the show.
129:33No, but we're good. No. I mean, it's, it's, this is like a passion project, man.
129:38This is what we're trying to do. You know, set up in the living room, like trying to make this a full-time thing.
129:44So I appreciate being on. It's been a pleasure and hopefully first of many.
129:49Absolutely. Give us a bold prediction. Bold prediction. Oh, I had one too.
129:53Who is it? Wait, wait, you lost your bold prediction?
129:56Yep. I lost it. Where'd it go? No, you got to find it.
130:00Oh, we'll find it. We'll get back here. Oh, please find your bold prediction.
130:04Oh yeah. Cam Ward is a top 12 quarterback this year.
130:07That's it. Just top 12? Top 10? I don't think that's hot enough.
130:11No? No. No, here's, here's what I would do.
130:14Here's what I would do. Let me, okay. So because you're getting acclimated to the industry, right?
130:19You're getting, you're getting everything figured out. So these hot takes, the best way to do it is to not say top this, top that.
130:26What you want to do is you want to compare player X to player Y, because then you get double the passion.
130:33So you get people that are passionate about the player that you're saying is going to underwhelm.
130:38So you got Marvin Harrison Jr. Fans, you got them mad at you and you want that.
130:43You want to inspire the engagement, but then also you have the people, the Josh Downs fans, right?
130:49So you have Josh Downs fans are like, yeah, yeah.
130:52But instead of saying, Josh Downs is going to be top 10, that's a tall order.
130:57It's really hard to finish top 10, but you know what's a hell of a lot easier is to put him ahead
131:03of someone that some people think could finish top 10.
131:06And then he only has to be one guy.
131:09So you say Josh Downs will outproduce Marvin Harrison Jr.
131:12in fantasy football. That actually sounds more impressive. Yeah.
131:15Then he's going to be a top 20 receiver in fantasy football, but actually it's easier for him to simply outproduce Marvin Harrison Jr.
131:22than it is for him to be a top 20 receiver.
131:25So rhetorically, it sounds better. It has more effect.
131:28And also you're less likely to be wrong. And this is something I've learned with years of fantasy analysis experience.
131:34This is the reason why you come on the show to learn these kinds of things.
131:39So while I've been filibustering, you've been thinking of a new, fresh, hot take-ified opinion of Cam Ward.
131:44What is it? Cam Ward will outperform Bo Nix this year.
131:48He will be a top eight quarterback. No, no, no.
131:51Don't say that part. Ah! Ah! Tomorrow morning is knocking.
131:54Stock your fridge now. How about a creamy mocha frappuccino drink?
131:57Or a sweet vanilla? Smooth caramel maybe? Or white chocolate mocha?
132:00Whichever you choose, delicious coffee awaits. Find Starbucks frappuccino drinks wherever you buy your groceries.

132:29You lost your bold prediction? Yep. I lost it.
132:31Where'd it go? You always want to be open.
132:34You want to be open to the universe making things happen for you.
132:38That might be the best scenario that you just laid out is trying to find value on the offense that we want pieces of.
132:45That's what we're talking about today. It's the whole theme of the show.
132:49Yeah. The Supreme Court of the NFL Council still has to make their ruling.
132:53Light bulb. Yeah. Especially down here in Duval, man.
132:56We've been cracking crab leg jokes since 2010, so I get it.
133:00I'm on the gunner helm train, man. I want the targets.
133:03Targets went all day. That's not an answer. Broke my heart with that injury last year.
133:08I needed him so bad. Sometimes the best ability is availability.
133:11By the way, Steve Smith came at Jerry Judy.
133:14He was never the same. Steve Smith came at the podfather and I only got stronger, bigger and stronger.
133:19So I'm coming back, baby. And they're like, but I heard they don't want you.
133:24I don't care. But they don't want you. I don't care.
133:27They're getting me too bad. I've been here long enough.
133:30Yeah, we play with dum-dums. That's what happened. I'll take one of the old white dudes in the 10th round and pair him with a rookie.
133:38Ferguson, Ferguson. I didn't realize two hours ago. My wife came home from work.
133:42She's back here talking shit behind the microphone. So stupid.
133:45All your nerd stuff, your fantasy football. She won the league last year.
133:49Oh, she, she Latina. She, you might get bit back.
133:52No, no, no. It's two and a half hours.
133:55She'll never make it to the end of the show.
133:58Bank that value, my friend. Love that. She won the league last year.
