Antonio Williams

NegativeRole63:34

The source notes that Antonio Williams 'has had very little buzz this year' with no standout reports from OTAs; positioned as a player the source is willing to 'launder away' in trades to acquire better talent, describing him as 'no Malik Benson' and acknowledging he went higher in rookie drafts only 'because of how poorly this draft class went.'

Insight page

Brenton Strange

PositiveDepth Chart59:48

The source references Brenton Strange as an example of a Jacksonville player who recently signed a contract, using him as context for expecting Parker Washington's contract extension to be coming soon.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveProjection14:00

BTJ lives on air yards (14.5 aDot) rather than yards after catch; air yards are more predictive and stickier year-to-year than YAC; similar age and situation to Rashi Rice but achieves yards/TDs differently; expected to see high volume in Jacksonville's pass-first offense with low-talent backfield; potential for volatile but boom-heavy production given the Jaguars' signal of throw-mode with Brenton Strange signing and minimal RB investment; the source is willing to overpay in trades to acquire him, sending away a late-round 27-1 pick plus Antonio Williams, viewing BTJ as a 'Spike Week specialist in Flex' with potential to produce more than whoever that first-round pick ultimately becomes.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveProjection14:00

Montgomery in his late 20s can play productively into his 30s like Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey; now the main guy after rotational workload in Detroit; expected to be RB1 producer in Houston with high red zone touchdown equity; Texans want to be more run-heavy this year after becoming too pass-heavy; Montgomery will get the lion's share and goal-line work, with Woody Marks proving to be a nothing burger in the red zone and not trusted by Houston to pound the rock; high trade value mid-season if team not competing; win-now asset with upside.

Insight page

David Njoku

NegativeInjury17:00

Njoku has higher injury risk than normal; competing for targets with Kohler and Rondi Gadsden in Cleveland; injury to Njoku would open target consolidation opportunity for Gadsden.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeProjection60:31

The source expresses skepticism about DK Metcalf's near-term upside, questioning what his 'unveil' will be and sarcastically suggesting the only hope is a Cortland Sutton-style career arc with 'two separate breakouts in his career and they're like six years apart'; the source then pivots to discussing his 2024 season as a 'bounce back' scenario, implying current underperformance or concern.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveBreakout64:15

The source includes Jalen Coker in a target group of emerging wide receivers (alongside Michael Wilson, Parker Washington, Josh Downs, and Jaden Reed) that the source is 'trying to acquire as much' of in dynasty leagues, positioning him as part of a tier of players in the Dynasty Deluxe rankings worth targeting.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

PositiveBreakout64:15

The source includes Jaden Reed in a target group of emerging wide receivers (alongside Michael Wilson, Parker Washington, Josh Downs, and Jalen Coker) that the source is 'trying to acquire as much' of in dynasty leagues, positioning him as part of a tier of players in the Dynasty Deluxe rankings worth targeting.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

PositiveProjection65:23

The source describes Jordan Addison as 'in the mix for wide receiver two this year with Juwan Jennings' and characterizes him as 'a lighter, cheaper version play wise of Jameson Williams, where the spike weeks are out there'; notes he had two wide receiver one weeks his rookie season largely due to Kirk Cousins, and questions whether a return to Kyler Murray could lead to 'more of that ascension and the talent to really bloom for Jordan Addison.'

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveBreakout60:00

The source identifies Josh Downs as an emerging talent where 'the moon of the stars are aligning' for a big unveil in September as 'the NFL's new target hog'; positioned as a player where being 'out ahead' of the breakout is valuable in dynasty leagues.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

PositiveValue66:30

The source acquired Michael Mayer plus a 2027 second-round pick by trading Evan Ingram and Jalen Warren, stating 'I love this deal for you. Huge.' The source emphasizes that 2027 second-round picks are 'so illiquid right now' and notes 'almost think getting a 2027 first is easier' than a 2027 second, positioning Mayer as a strong acquisition despite being 'sniped' by another team in a draft. The source expresses comfort in having Michael Mayer in another league, viewing the trade as favorable value.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveValue64:15

The source acquired Michael Wilson by trading Jordan Addison plus 2027 fourth and fifth-round picks, viewing Michael Wilson as 'in a completely different tier from Jordan Addison'; positioned as a wide receiver one candidate with 'more of an alpha profile and alpha build and alpha skill set than Jordan Addison'; the source notes Michael Wilson will gain dynasty value when he signs his contract extension and is part of a target group including Parker Washington, Josh Downs, Jaden Reed, and Jalen Coker.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBreakout59:48

The source identifies Parker Washington as an emerging alpha wide receiver for Jacksonville with contract extension coming that will cement his role; positioned as a player where 'the moon of the stars are aligning' for a big unveil in September as 'Jacksonville's new alpha wide receiver'; the source emphasizes being 'out ahead' of this breakout opportunity and notes that 'someone's throwing Parker Washington overboard' in trades, presenting a buying opportunity.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveProjection65:23

The source positions Trey McBride as a beneficiary if Marvin Harrison Jr. struggles under pressure in 2024, noting that if Harrison 'melts under the pressure, then it's going to be the Michael Wilson and Trey McBride show,' suggesting elevated target share and production potential.

Insight page

Woody Marks

NegativeRole19:00

Marks was a nothing burger in the red zone; Houston did not trust him to pound the rock in the red zone, signaling David Montgomery will get goal-line and red zone work instead.

0:55This is Trade Gods and I'm here with the coach.
0:58We have trades for you. In fact, we're going to start and there's going to be lots more trades after this, but
1:04we're going to start with two trades that broke a league in two.
1:08Two trades that dissolved a league instantly. Self-destructed trades.
1:11That's what we're going to talk about today on Trade Gods.
1:14All right, coach. You're in a startup. Talk us through what happened.
1:18Hey, so my buddy, Mike Greinberg, he used to do the news desk here.
1:22He shared. He's in a startup and he broke the league.
1:25Everybody got away, ran away right away. After these trades happened in a startup, it imploded.
1:30We didn't even, the group didn't even make it to the 105 here.
1:34He pulls off this trade, Greinberg. And look, I know him.
1:37He's not going to go bring somebody else in who's going to just self-deal.
1:41So this isn't like the Matt Miller situation that you have going out there.
1:45Everybody do some research on that. But we have Greinberg acquired the, he sent away the 104, 1204, 1309 and the 209.
1:52So his first and his second. He gets back and these are startup picks.
1:56The 311, the 402, the 511 and the 602.
1:59So if you do the math, you're understanding Greinberg is getting two thirds, two fourths, two fifths, two sixths.
2:04And then in return, he's dropping his first and his second.
2:08So he's getting very premium double picks. That fifth and that sixth round pick startup are huge.
2:13He's going to run the table and run the board.
2:16And then if you go to the next page, there's another image that we have where there's even more self-dealing or determined self-dealing by the other league mates.
2:24It's the same trade partner. So this is a problem.
2:27Greinberg acquires the 711, the 802 and the 911, gives away the 1109, the 1509 and then his 404.
2:33So as they're going, they're having all these big trades, two big trades.
2:37We don't even get to the 105 and everybody in the board.
2:40There's like three or four people are like, I'm out.
2:43Have you ever been in a situation like this where the monopoly board just gets flipped?
2:48What do you do in this situation? Is there any sanction that needs to happen to the other trade partner?
2:54So we're assuming this is not collusion at all.
2:57What do you do? It's the second trade, man.
2:59Like the second trade is the trade that you don't need to do a trade.
3:04Like you're rounds away from that pick even being a pick you could evaluate for available talent.
3:09There's no reason to do that trade. Absolutely none.
3:11Especially at that time. Like if you could argue they do this trade, everyone gets upset, but then people start drafting and
3:18they get invested and you start, everyone starts to have teams that they can talk themselves into.
3:23And then if they drop this trade in the fourth round, the league may not have folded.
3:28So the league made that it could have, it could have withstood the controversy.
3:32I think there would have been some harrumphing, but I don't think there would have been a liquidation.
3:38Yeah. Huge problem there. And as you said, why not get to the middle of the book?
3:43Essentially, you know, you're in a couple of weeks startup and you don't even get to there.
3:48We didn't, they didn't even make it to the one Oh five.
3:51So that I think really is what set people off and it flipped the table.
3:56I hate it for Mike because we would all love to live out something like that where you just wreck the league.
4:02But problem is, so would you leave? I would want out.
4:06But my question is at that point, is that the same as a veto as vetoing a trade?
4:11Because you're just like, Hey, I'm out. Or is the refunding different?
4:15I think in this situation, the, the drafter who is taking a chance and trading up, right?
4:20All of a sudden have a lot less picks and there's a lot more at stake with these early picks.
4:26Okay. So it's a very risky strategy. Okay. If they're going to, if they're going to be on the risky side of,
4:32of the trade, they're really obligated to go to the whole league and make sure that the league knows, Hey, I'm looking to trade into the first round.
4:41And then everybody gets to submit their best offer.
4:43And I can guarantee if three or four people had submitted offers, one would have been better than the one that was accepted.
4:50And so there for, for something that important, right?
4:53A, a, a complete draft flipping event, you're going to need to solicit bids.
4:57It can't be a no bid contract. Yeah. This, this sounds like a, that Memorial pool at the white house, right?
5:03Just a no bid deal. And one guy got it.
5:06Right. So very tough situation there. Well, I mean, I'm just talking about ways that, that you could execute these deals and, and the league continues on, right?
5:15The, the, the, the, doesn't compromise the integrity of the league.
5:18That's what you're looking at. You, it, so there's several scenarios where these trades happen and with, with different timing and with
5:24some solicitation on the front end, there is a world where these trades could happen and it, it, the league does not
5:31melt down, but I would have also wanted to just pull out at that point.
5:35So you pull out, you get the refund lesson learned.
5:38Typically I don't pull out, but I, I, I, I, you know, I stick with it.
5:43But in this case, like I would leave the league and just email support at league safe.
5:48And as long as the season hasn't started, you can say, Hey, please refund me.
5:53That's it. Yeah. I just thought it was pretty hilarious at that.
5:56Hey, there's always something new going on. So in the comments, share it.
6:00Have you ever had anything crazy like this? Anything that rivals that you didn't even get to the one Oh five and the thing imploded.
6:08Think about you're trying to fill up a league.
6:10You're trying to get a agreeable league fees, agreeable settings.
6:13You know, the bylaws got to have a good bylaws.
6:16And these are people who are playing consistently, but clearly maybe this other trade partner, not, are there any sanctions that you lay down on that person?
6:24Or is this just something that they'll hopefully just learn through pain?
6:28Well, the league is over. Like the league doesn't exist anymore.
6:31So now it's just like, well, you know, why, what, how, what would you have done differently?
6:36Things of that nature. Uh, did you decide to leave the league?
6:40Oh no, this was just something that was shared with me.
6:43And I just thought it was just great to, to put in.
6:47So did the person who shared it, leave the league?
6:50No, it was Mike. It was Mike Reimberg, the one who would have been the benefactor.
6:54Okay. So Mike was the one that shared it with you.
6:58Did he say how many people left the league?
7:00He said about three. So it was enough to fold the whole thing because at that point it was a domino effect
7:07and people were like, yeah, I'm, I'm out of here.
7:10And look, I would, I I'm, I'm disappointed because in the shoes of Mike, I would want that.
7:15Everybody would want that dream, but the other 10 people, hell no, I don't want to be a part of that.
7:22So it, I did kind of sit there thinking like, what's the principle of, Hey, you ride this out because is this somewhat of a veto?
7:29But I think this is almost different because this just shattered the entirety of what you're trying to do.
7:35Cause what if it's a hundred dollar leaf? Nothing happened.
7:38What four players got picked big deal. Just hit the reset button in the league.
7:42Yep. Right. You lose, if you lose three, don't try to backfill those three.
7:47Even if you lost two, you lost two over this and everyone else agrees that, Hey, we're going to do this, but Hey, let's learn our lesson.
7:55These kinds of trades at the very least, you need to solicit offers from your league mates publicly on the draft board, like in the league chat.
8:03Okay. You need to go ahead and do that.
8:05As long as you do that, this won't be a problem.
8:09And so you learn that lesson, you go find two more managers to come in and backfill two or three, whatever it
8:15is, and then just restart it and you move on with life.
8:19And it's a learning experience because there is decorum in dynasty leagues and it's a much bigger set of responsibilities than anyone managing a, a seasonal league.
8:27So the first time you do a dynasty startup, it's a big deal.
8:31I would, I would highly suggest people take over an orphan first and see what it's like, go through a season with the dynasty mindset.
8:38And then the following year, the following spring, join a startup and talk to people about the protocols and, you know, and, and what, what picks are worth.
8:47And it, what, at what point should you start to consider tight end and the types of tight ends and the, in
8:53certain set of rounds, just have some, get some basic information about the decorum of the league and some of the, the, the baseline assume protocols.
9:01And you'll be fine. You'll be fine. So it basically is like, I look at it like the person who was on
9:07the other side of these, these trades from Mike, the one that was clearly ripped off or perceived to be ripped off
9:14to the extent that people left that person loses their dynasty license.
9:18They need to, they need to prove that this there's not going to happen again.
9:22Right? So that's pretty much how this works. This is, this is what I'm saying.
9:27A league is a community, right? And these leagues have rules and some of them are written down and some of them are wired into the sleeper settings.
9:35And some of them are just, Hey, this is how things are done.
9:39If you're going to dump players, put them on the block.
9:42If you want to trade back or trade up, let us know.
9:46We can all put our, put our, our, our, our best feet forward.
9:49Yeah. And look, if you nailed it on the head, orphans join an orphan and a low stakes startup and say like $25, go make mistakes.
9:57Not like this, but go out and filter and make some mistakes where it wouldn't be too painful.
10:03You have the opportunity to heal up and rev up an orphan and get your feet wet with a cheaper startup.
10:09And then you start seeing what goes on. Something that could help this.
10:13So would be using our dynasty rankings, using our trade analyzer.
10:16And then you're at least getting yourself on the map to, Hey, is this even in my clothes?
10:21Am I getting ripped off? And then, because look, people will rip you off.
10:26They will, if they can be the benefactor, it will happen.
10:29So sometimes you are swimming with sharks. So let's learn a little bit more about the dynasty dominator app that, that has
10:35the, the, the trade calculator built right into it.
10:38Ooh, trade just came out on my phone. Let's see.
10:41Should I make it? I don't know. I want to make a move now though.
10:46I don't want to wait to get back to my computer.
10:49What do I do? Oh, we had the dynasty dominator app that scores a trade based on our lifetime value rating at player profiler.com.
10:56We also give you just a price lookup tool with the ADP to say, what is this guy really worth?
11:02And the app has a player comparison tool to juxtapose the advanced metrics of two players.
11:07This is $5 in the app store. That's it.
11:09So we want you to do deep research on player profiler.com, but we also want you to be able to make moves in the moment.
11:17So go get that dynasty dominator. Now it's in the app store.

12:17Sorry, Mike, that your league imploded and you were thought to have something to do with it.
12:22I really don't think he did is my guess, but either way, it's not a reason to implement more rules.
12:28It's not a reason to implement more controls. Like you see something like this.
12:32You're like, Oh, now we've got to have trade review.
12:35No, no. As long as we all are licensed dynasty leaguers, we should be able to run a league without some sort
12:42of trade voting or trade review by anybody. I do a trade with someone else.
12:46That's between us. Yeah, look it. But as you said, afford the opportunity to the field and then wait that way.
12:52There's no complaints that can come out. And you, you said the word license.
12:56This person has lost their license, so they need to go reapply.
13:00And maybe they need to be like the junior drivers out there who was like, Hey, it's past nine o'clock.
13:06You need to pack it in and stay home.
13:09You can't drive on the road. Well, don't be sending pics after or send pics and trades after nine o'clock.
13:15You know, maybe you're they're drunk. They're drunk trading.
13:17We don't want that. So, but be sober, pull over like I tired traded.
13:21We're going to talk about a tired trade that I did where I was at.
13:26I was about to go to bed and you know, my eyes were getting heavy and I decided to throw a trade
13:33out there before I went to sleep. And then I woke up and the trade was done and I had to had
13:39to sort of go through the process of of figuring out where my head was at when the trade happened.
13:45We'll cover that trade in a little bit. You sent me this from our discord.
13:50So check out player profilers discord where where you can we evaluate trades.
13:53We comment on them and here team a trading Rashi rice and a Rondi gas into team B who is trading Brian Thomas jr.
14:01And David Montgomery. So you get the rice Gadsden side.
14:04You also have the Thomas Montgomery side and it is 1.5 tight end premium.
14:08It razor thin on the trade analyzer. First glance, this is a very even trade and then it comes down to personal preference.
14:15But in the trade analyzer, which helps us super flex tight end premium settings.
14:19I punch it in and the rice Gadsden side wins by four and a half points.
14:23So it's basically even so it really comes down to personal preference David Montgomery Brian Thomas jr.
14:29Pre show we were talking about what do you afford and care for more the touchdown viability of somebody like David Montgomery.
14:35And then we have the sacrifice too because the Gadsden side, it can be a little bit more volatile for the tight ends.
14:42But breakdown for us in the audience. Do you like Rashi rice with the shorter a dot and yak ability?
14:48Or do you like BTJ with the 14.5 a dot youth?
14:51What's more sustainable? What's going to get more fancy points for you?
14:55And then of course, there's the off field thing.
14:57So in a vacuum rice versus BTJ and then by extension the rest of the trade.
15:02How do you feel? Yeah, I like Brian Thomas jr.
15:05I mean, we have them razor close on the player profiler dynasty rankings dynasty deluxe on player profiler.
15:11I just think that one lives on yak and one lives on air yards and air yards are more predictive.
15:17They're stickier year to year. And for that reason alone, right?
15:20There's similar players similar age similar situations similar stat lines.
15:23They put up it when they're at their best and they did but they achieve those yards and touchdowns in very different ways.
15:30One has these intersections with law enforcement and a history of suspensions.
15:33The other does not. And I like the upside of the chiefs offense, but I also love the upside of the Jaguars offense.
15:40So there's there's upside with both of these guys.
15:43I just trust the air yards more than the yak and Brian Thomas jr.
15:47Has less of a of an off field history that might be concerning at all.
15:51So it's very close, but I'd go BTJ there.
15:54And then, you know, of course, I love David Montgomery this year.
15:58Like I just love David Montgomery this year because David Montgomery's he's in his late 20s and these running backs are going
16:04to be several of these running backs are going to be playing out into their 30s.
16:09Yes. Saquon Barkley Christian McCaffrey really early 30s. They're going to be productive.
16:13David Montgomery could also be because because David Montgomery has been in a split backfield during his entire time in Detroit.
16:19So, you know, he didn't have the exact from year to year.
16:23He's had a rotational workload. And so now he's the main guy.
16:26Even if even if you don't end up competing this year, you give yourself a chance to give your team a look.
16:33And if it's late October and it's just not happening, you'll be able to trade David Montgomery because he's going to be
16:39a top running back producer in the league. So you'd be able to trade him to a win now team.
16:45He's going to have a lot of value. He's going to accrue more value this year for a midseason trade.
16:51Yes, then a Rondé Gadsden would because a Rondé Gadsden we it's it's possible he's a year away now with you know,
16:58the myriad of targets are going to be distributed across Kohler and then now David and Joku just at the tight end position.
17:05So I think Gadsden, especially if there is an injury to David and Joku, which he is a has a higher injury risk than normal.
17:12So I think that the Lad McConkie is already injured.
17:15So the case for Rondé Gadsden is, well, this is the right team.
17:19This is the team we want exposure to and things could break his way with target consolidation and then to the moon with gas.
17:26So yeah, there's a little more long term upside.
17:29So the Gadsden side is more of a hey, we're going to building towards something as opposed to anytime you're trading for
17:36David Montgomery, you want to win this year. And this could be a big year for Brian Thomas Jr.
17:41This could be one of the years where he's very volatile, but the booms are huge because that's going to be a pass first offense in Jacksonville.
17:49They have one of the the least talented lowest paid backfields in the league.
17:53Look at their look. Just look at their fantasy football ADPs of the running backs.
17:58What does that tell you? There's going to be a lot of bombs downfield to Brian Thomas is going to be plenty
18:04of targets for Parker Washington and you Colby Myers.
18:07So that's the side that I'm landing on, but it's also razor close and it's very validating that the player profile or
18:14trade analyzer has it so razor close because intuitively that makes sense.
18:17And then the next time I and then the next time and then the next time you evaluate a trade, it's like, OK, this is ringing true.
18:25This is ringing true. So then when you see a big disparity and you're on the side that's winning a lot of
18:32extra lifetime value accruing a bunch of extra lifetime value in the deal, then you can feel more confident pushing the button.
18:38Essentially, if you're looking at BTJ, is he closer freshman year, sophomore year of his career?
18:43If we just get 80% to 85% of rookie season BTJ, this deal ends up in the favor of the BTJ side.
18:50David Montgomery people forget he was an RB one with Chicago when he left.
18:54He left that and put that away. If you love something, you give it up.
18:58Well, guess what? David Montgomery is going to get that back in Houston.
19:02They signed him with the right amount of money.
19:05He's going to get that lion's share. And look, Woody Marks was a nothing burger in the red zone.
19:11They did not trust him in the red zone to pound the rock in.
19:15When you want to get that touchdown, you're inside the 10 inside the five on the goal line is going to be David Montgomery.
19:22If you look over at around a guess, and I'm not as fearful as you are towards the Njoku and the Kohler thing siphoning off targets.
19:30But back to your point, getting that touchdown equity with David Montgomery and the lion's share, ironically, in Houston is going to
19:36make this a safer bet with the BTJ side, especially it puts it over the top with the law enforcement intersection with Rashi Rice.
19:43So if you want to get out on Rashi Rice, this is a very fair deal.
19:48And you also forgot to mention Brenton Strange getting that deal as well.
19:52You mentioned the backfield for Jacksonville. Not a lot of investment to your point again in throw mode.
19:57Brenton Strange getting that deal. It's all signal that we're going to get a lot more throw mode in Jacksonville.
20:03It's reported out of the Houston Chronicle that the Texans want to be balanced.
20:08They want to be more run heavy this year that they they felt like they lost the quality control and the balanced
20:14approach of their offense and they became to to pass heavy inexplicably like it wasn't even based on game script.
20:20That was the weird part. It's just like it was just based on coaching tendencies.
20:25Like we got to go back and look at our coaching tendencies and make some adjustments and try to make sure that we're we're calling more run plays.
20:33And it's going to be David Montgomery, David Montgomery, David Montgomery.
20:36And it is it's cool whenever you get a guy that's not a popular dynasty name, but you know that this is
20:43the year he's going to smash, you know, typically age 28, age 29.
20:47So this is just the David Montgomery is the perfect value running back for dynasty.
20:51He's right there with J.K. Dobbins to me the two best value backs based on age and situation and just how things
20:58are coming together for them this year. It's J.K.
21:00Dobbins and David Montgomery. Well, think to yourself in DFS.
21:03We do the defense and the running back correlation.
21:06And what do you think the coaches you talk about the coaches what they're thinking what they're wanting.
21:11You want to milk the clock and who better than David Montgomery.
21:15You've got a lead. You don't need to get the ball over your defense.
21:19You don't even need to go into throw mode.
21:22This isn't like the Cincinnati Bengals or the Dallas Cowboys, where as soon as Burrow and Prescott are sitting on the bench,
21:28they're getting up because they got to make up for a loss lead.
21:32No, this is the Texans who have Super Bowl aspirations.
21:35They want to milk the clock, control the clock.
21:38They're going to be lower scoring games. So to your point, that may negate a little bit of the Jaden Higgins breakout
21:44or the throw mode or the Texans. But that's okay.
21:47Shift to where the team is telling you, David Montgomery.
21:50They're not going to run the plays you want them to run because of your fantasy team.
21:56They're going to run the plays they need to run to win games.
21:59And when you look at how that team is built, that team is built to run the ball.
22:05And then there's no surprise when they go and sign David Montgomery.
22:08And no one's allowed to be surprised when their pass rate collapses.
22:12I think that's going to be the biggest decline.
22:15And it's right in our world famous draft kit.
22:17When you're reading the Texans preview, you it just jumps out of the screen at you like David Montgomery, because that's that they're incentivized to do that.
22:25They have one of the best defenses in the league.
22:28Of course, they're not going to be throwing a lot, especially if it's CJ Stroud and with every CJ Stroud completion, they
22:35have to pay him more money in the future.
22:38Just as soon keep his production suppressed as much as possible so that it can translate into tens of millions of dollars.
22:44You extrapolate it out. There's a lot of forces at play capping the passing game upside of the Houston Texans.
22:50And I've had arguments with people where I'm like, hey, you can't be drafted Nico Collins this year.
22:55Like you can't be going all in on Jaden Higgins.
22:58Look at these other options that are here. Right.
23:01What about there's another Jalen Jalen Coker. Right. So there's a similar ADP.
23:05And it's like, no, you can't go in this direction right now.
23:09All these assets are losing value. Yeah, I've seen the news about Jalen Noel, that he was a standout in camp, but he's still a year away.
23:17File that away. And if there are injuries on defense or things change and for forever, they stop becoming like a defense first organization.
23:24You start to hear them that. Okay. We're opening up the offense, bringing a new offensive coordinator.
23:29This is what we're going to be doing. You hear that all all that Jalen Noel buzz.
23:34It's still relevant. It's just probably based on the conditions on the ground a year away.
23:39You can love the talent and hate the situation and gamers who can decipher that can help themselves short term and long term in the redraft streets.
23:47And as you said, file that away. Well, maybe you filed away for a throw in for a 2027 deal, but not
23:53the immediacy of like, hey, I really need to rely on Jaden Higgins.
23:57If you're going to go one for one in a vacuum, Jaden Higgins this year or David Montgomery, which player do you want on the Texans offense?
24:05It's all signal. I know Higgins is good. I know Noel's good.
24:09I know Tank Dell is good. Right. And so I'm rooting for them to underperform.
24:13So if I, my David Montgomery team doesn't fire, I can go ahead and trade someone, David Montgomery and just ask them
24:20to throw in Higgins because he's now viewed as a throw in because he's been so disappointing or Noel because he's done
24:26nothing or Tank Dell because he's, you know, he's, he's still experiencing, maybe strains his hamstring because he's trying to push too hard.
24:33Something like that. All these things. Oh yeah. That's just a throw in.
24:37That's just a nothing. That's just an empty calorie addition to balance out the trade.
24:42And then all of a sudden the dynamics on the ground shift with the Texans, they start to throw more and all
24:48of a sudden, boom, I've got some, I've got two of the two super talented wide receivers kind of emerging out of the ether.
24:55But we also should have known if you go back to the scouting reports from a handful of years ago when they
25:02were coming out of Iowa state, we love these guys and nothing's changed.
25:06Jaden Higgins produced last year and Jalen Noel has, has been commanding a ton of buzz.
25:11So yeah, I'm staying the course. I'm sticking with my original assessment, the scouting report from last season with these Houston wide
25:17receivers and I'm going ahead and passing on them in startups.
25:20Yeah, it's beautiful. And the nice thing you can get a later just because you don't get now doesn't mean you can't
25:27get later shy of if your startup implodes up to the one Oh five, you're going to have other opportunities, rest assured.
25:33And it may not be the startup to your point.
25:36You don't want to have to pay ADP startup price, just pay in a later throw in trade to your point.
25:43It could be October. And as much as you want to get that free look at David Montgomery on the other end,
25:49if they're underperforming, but you still like the prospect profile, get your Texans receivers who aren't Nico Collins.
25:55I'm on the clock in a startup. Don't talk to me.
25:58I'm on the clock in a startup. Everybody, this is happening.
26:01This is all happening. Let's check it out. Let's check it out.
26:05Let's get put it up on the screen. We're on the clock in a startup.
26:09Here we go. You thought this was your run club era.
26:13Turns out it was more of a thinking about run club era.

26:56Terms and conditions apply. This is tight end premium.
26:58And I went with the barbell strategy. I waited on tight end for a considerable amount of time.
27:04It wasn't comfortable, but I did it. So we'll start at the top.
27:08First round, Jackson Smith and Jigba. Herbert, Carnell Tate, Fernando Mendoza, Zay Flowers, Cam Scadaboo, Jamison Williams, Matthew Stafford.
27:13Then I traded. Like I traded back. So there was a pocket of players that I just didn't have any interest in.
27:20Denzel Boston, Isaiah Likely, Tyler Algier, DeAndre Swift, this pocket of players.
27:24And I'm like, okay, I don't need any of these players.
27:27And I think they're all going to fly off the board.
27:30So I just put it out. I put it out there in the chat.
27:34I said, hey, I want to trade back. And someone's like, hey, I have someone in mind that I want.
27:40So I traded back and basically traded up a round in two rounds.
27:44So basically I let him trade up in one round, switch picks.
27:48And then I was able to trade up in two different rounds after that.
27:52Cool. So that's essentially what happened. And I just went on my own personal wide receiver run because he and I were
27:58drafting at similar locations in the back half. I think we were two or three picks away.
28:03So I was just tapping wide receiver, tapping Josh Downs, tapping Chris Godwin, tapping Jalen Coker, Jaden Reed.
28:09Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. I just went down the board and it was like a shopping spree.
28:14It was like supermarket sweep. I loved it. Are you sitting there after?
28:18Because let's talk about the elephant in the room for you and something.
28:22This was growth for you because we were on a call, you, me, Bradley, Max, Evan into the Jameson Williams pick after
28:29the crux of where you took Jameson Williams, which I believe was what round seven?
28:33It was the 707, which is great value on JMO.
28:36I had to I had to pick him. So from that point, are you sitting there more comforted as we're looking back
28:43in getting Downs, Godwin Coker, some of your trademark your guys, but at a beautiful price point.
28:48Do you feel better about that Jameson Williams pick?
28:51That's a good question. I can tell you this.
28:53At no point was I regretting it. If we look at my roster here and we pull up my roster.
28:59OK, we knew that we were going to be going with a hero running back strategy and our second running back was going to end up being weak.
29:08But I kept pushing running back. I kept pushing running back, kept just hoarding these wide receivers because I know this is
29:14like a 34 round draft for the last 10 rounds.
29:17There's not going to be a single receiver left on the board that I want on my roster.
29:22It's going to be 100 percent roster cloggers at that point.
29:26But there's going to be a ton of running backs with upside where you can tell a story on.
29:31Yes. Everyone out to like, you know, Damian Martinez.
29:34And there's going to be guys that are going to get meaningful touches early in the season, like a George Helani.
29:40There's going to be so many options at running back at a time in the draft where there's not a single receiver I want.
29:48So the value pocket that we tapped into Godwin Reed, Coker Downs really was kicked off by Jameson Williams.
29:53And I'm very happy. So now I have nine receivers because I most recently at the 1806, I drafted Adni Mitchell.
29:59He just kept falling. He was there. He's established himself as the wide receiver to multiple reports, the athletic and ESPN.
30:06You can see that rate on playerprofile.com slash news are saying it's Adni Mitchell's job.
30:10And he's been making big plays. And the chemistry with he and Gino Smith is is frankly better than than than Gino Smith with Garrett Wilson.
30:18So for me, I was like a guy that's 23 years old.
30:22Right. It was between Adni Mitchell and Ted Hurst and Ted Hurst went a pick before.
30:26So I was like, I'm just basically going to get the the the major conference version of Ted Hurst.
30:32They're similar age. So that that all that all came together for me.
30:36And so, no, I would not go back and and knowing how well I did or how much talent was available to
30:42me in these later rounds at wide receiver. I would still go and draft a Jameson Williams.
30:47I love the idea of getting those spike weeks at flex.
30:51It's funny. I just did Scott Fishbowl in Charlotte and at the two three turn.
30:55This is scoring setting dependent. Of course, I went and got Jameson Williams at the two three turn.
31:01So very excited. He and Zay Flowers. Now, you are burying the lead a little bit and just one note on you
31:07getting Jameson Williams and kind of feel a little bit little bit on the fence.
31:12If you trust your drafting, you can make earlier picks that don't feel quite right in the moment, but further cement and
31:18feel good later based on the fact that, you know, pockets of the draft.
31:22You knew and understood. OK, I got Jameson Williams.
31:25It's a little bit volatile, but I'm going to get this pocket of receivers that I want.
31:30And then you feel even better. So you got to understand that, too.
31:34You do enough of these drafts. You start gaining trust in yourself and hey, I take a risk early, middle, late, wherever it is.
31:41You're going to have other pockets where you make up for it.
31:45You are burying the lead, though. On this hero running back team, you went Rashad White 17-7.
31:50This is a very volatile running back setup that you have, but you may end up having because the worst thing about
31:56zero running back or even sometimes anchor is the fact that you are just shitting bricks when it's week two.
32:02And you got nobody like if Emmitt Johnson is your best player, you're getting zero.
32:07Yeah. Yeah. Emmitt Johnson is not going to be getting meaningful touches in the month of September that he's he's a play for later in the season.
32:15He's going to get acclimated and more incorporated into the offense as everything the weeks move along.
32:20OK, so no, I needed I needed absolutely needed a running back that would give me production week one.
32:26And there just weren't a lot of options. And we're talking about Brian Robinson level like Brian Robinson getting this thirty five to forty percent carry share.
32:34Right. Because he's he's all they have behind B.
32:36John Robinson and they're not going to give B.
32:39John Robinson 80 percent of the carries. That's not going to happen.
32:43I wish, but they're not going to. So, again, Brian Robinson would be would be a player that you could potentially start
32:49on a team that just has nothing at the R.B.
32:52to spot because I get I did. I did make the decision with Chris Rodriguez on the board.
32:57I did make the decision to go Emmitt Johnson because I wanted that upside.
33:02Right. It was going to be a really tough decision between Keaton Mitchell and Emmitt Johnson because Keaton Mitchell would give you
33:08some some week one, week two, week three satellite back production on one of the best offenses that we want exposure to.
33:15But I just had to go Emmitt Johnson there.
33:17I mean, the value you look where Nick Singleton went three rounds earlier.
33:21Like this pocket of running backs, Claiborne, Emmitt Johnson, I mean, they they fall way too far in these startups.
33:27So I did that. And then earlier I started the the the process of rostering tight ends at the 10.06 with Eli Stowers.
33:34So, again, with Emmitt Johnson, I led with the upside play, knowing that guy is more in demand.
33:39And then I knew I was hoping I could get the guy that's going to get me the production, you know, a round or two later.
33:47So that's what I did taking Emmitt Johnson first and then getting Rashad White did the same thing, took Stowers first.
33:54And then Kelsey kept slipping and slipping because the nice thing is Andrews is out there at a similar ADP.
33:59Goddard's out there at a similar ADP. So you can wait until those players start to get drafted.
34:05And then, you know, OK, now I can move in and get Kelsey in a tight end premium where we're getting just extra points, bonus points for receptions.
34:13That's the thing that the targets and the receptions is the is the best thing that Kelsey brings to the table.
34:19And then the question I have for you is, was I fine with that barbell strategy?
34:24Stowers on one side, Kelsey on the other, two opposite end of the spectrum.
34:28Guys about to retire post 35 and a guy that's a rookie.
34:32That's as barbell as it gets. Yes. Did I violate the barbell by then following that up in the 1507 with Jawan Johnson?
34:39No, you're that far in the draft enough where you're just getting BPA or truth or alert, truth or status type of player.
34:46You did the barbell effectively. You did it at both positions in a way.
34:50In the fact that you went and got Emmitt Johnson and then you got you did a reverse one where you got Rashad White.
34:57Rashad White, all the film that we're having, we're getting little promo videos with Jaden Daniels and Rashad White.
35:03You just stole, in my opinion, who will be the Washington Commanders week one running back and for the duration of the season.
35:10So you're going to get have Skadbu and Rashad White.
35:13That's how your week one is going to line up for starting.
35:16So you, you applied it at running back and then you did the same thing.
35:21You assured yourself, you set up, Hey, I'm getting a BPA for dynasty value and Eli Stowers.
35:26And then later on, you took advantage of the veteran who will just take care of 2026.
35:31And what's funny enough though, Travis Kelsey could end up really having a dead cat bounce year.
35:36Where his numbers compared to Tyler Warren's, it's like receptions, targets, yards per reception are very near identical.
35:41Just one guy is in his mid thirties. Then the other is a year or two player.
35:46One's a tight end foreign dynasty and one is just buried so much further.
35:50So you're getting that production that mirrors Tyler Warren essentially quite possibly.
35:54And then you're letting that time where, Hey, Stowers has to develop and bloom.
35:58So I love a dead cat bounce year for Travis Kelsey with Eric, the enemy and the chiefs.
36:04They didn't really do much with the receiver position.
36:06Oddly enough, it's that Cyrus Allen path. Do you like Jeff Caldwell who was undrafted?
36:11It's a really tough scene. It could get ugly really quickly for the chiefs.
36:15All right, let's make a pick. So after all that preamble, we do have to make a pick here.
36:21It's between the running back position, the tight end position.
36:23I have three tight ends and I have three running backs.
36:27There's a lot of running backs that I like that I'm happy to draft from LaQuinn Allen to Trevor ETN, Isaiah Davis
36:33to DeMond Claiborne, Sean Tucker's out there. Sean Tucker's the best available running back and Michael Mayer is the best available tight end.
36:40And if I, if I take Michael Mayer, then I've basically got two tight ends that are really 20, 27 plays.
36:46And then we have two 20, 26 plays. Juwan Johnson and Travis Kelsey are very much 20, 26 plays because Travis Kelsey
36:53is so old and New Orleans just drafted stud tight end Oscar Dell.
36:57So I got, if, if I go Mayer here, then I, then I'm basically investing in two tight ends on both sides of the barbell.
37:04Do you agree with that? Or do you think I really need to go and start stockpiling running backs now?
37:10You're getting to the point where you're getting so much tight end depth that you would want to trade some of that tight end depth.
37:18And then at what point would that be better than this patch of upside running backs?
37:23We're here. You do need for sure to start to, even though we like what you got with Rashad White, you still need some depth at running back.
37:31And I like upside at this point. I love that you mentioned the name DeMond Claiborne.
37:36DeMond Claiborne getting praise from Aaron Jones about reminding him of Jameer Gibbs.
37:40And then of course there's all that parallel with they both played at Wake Forest, 437 speed, half a second slower on the 40 time.
37:47Then somebody like, oh, you know, Devon Achan. And when you consider the fact that Jones, if we essentially consider him dust,
37:54the reception role can be there for Claiborne. Jordan Mason might have an opportunity to luck box himself into a thousand yards with Kyler Murray.
38:01He had somewhere in the like 750 rushing yards.
38:04So we get on like another 250 rushing yards for Jordan Mason.
38:07You have an opportunity at a thousand with Kyler because this is the JJ McCarthy versus Kyler thing where you're going to open up some rushing lanes.
38:15But going back in that backfield, DeMond Claiborne stands out to me the most ambiguous backfields.
38:20This is an opportunity at this price point. I know we love Michael Mayer, but I would rather risk Michael Mayer coming back to me.
38:28I want DeMond Claiborne at this. You have Emmitt Johnson and DeMond Claiborne, two high octane upside late round running backs who are young.
38:35I would keep, I would build, I'd put running back priority over tight end at this point.
38:40Over Sean Tucker though? Yes. The role and the opportunity is it's there because if you push out Aaron Jones, like, are
38:46you really going to hang on to Aaron Jones for this season?
38:50Who gets you the most excited? I think there's a more, the path for here.
38:54Here's the thing. It's like that money ball meme where it's like, Hey, Sean Tucker is really good.
39:00His only glitches. He can come off the bench one time a year and be the RB one overall for the week
39:06or RB two overall for the week. And then he turns into a pumpkin.
39:10DeMond Claiborne. And there's a little bit more of the unknown.
39:14I would like to get more than one spike week per season.
39:17For some reason, Sean Tucker can't break past that in Tampa Bay.
39:21He probably won't this year because they they're very invested in Kenneth Gainwell, who was the offensive MVP for the Pittsburgh Steelers last year.
39:28And they paid him a lot more than they were going to pay Rashad White.
39:33And sure enough, Rashad White signs for just $2 million in Washington.
39:36But Rashad White is going to be the the RB one in Washington.
39:40Ja'Cory Krosky Merritt didn't participate in the offseason program.
39:43The seven on sevens, the 11 on 11s. He did not participate.
39:46We're not sure exactly why he's nursing some injuries coming back.
39:50Him missing this time installing a new offense. And reports were last year that the reason why he wasn't playing more on
39:56passing downs was his inability to know where to be and to pick up the playbook, especially in the passing game side.
40:03So they're like, hey, this is our best athlete at the position.
40:06We want to get the ball in this guy's hands.
40:09He can go and make things happen. He's a playmaker.
40:12But when we use him, it really limits our flexibility with the playbook.
40:16And then and then he ends up running less routes.
40:19Not just that he's not the most natural gifted receiver.
40:22It's also that in general, he struggled to pick up the playbook and he's now much further behind than a veteran who
40:29never struggled to pick up the playbook in Tampa.
40:31So when you're deciding what plays to run and you need to trust that running back, especially with a fragile quarterback, right?
40:38A super dynamic yet fragile in terms of one of the smaller or svelte frames in the league.
40:43At every point, you're going to be incentivized to play Rashad White.
40:47And then he's going to earn potentially a big contract.
40:50He could get extended by Washington or go somewhere else.
40:53So I do. I get I I think it's crazy.
40:56I think it's insane that Rashad White fell this far.
40:59Yes, absolutely insane. So you're saying Claiborne's the play because the situation is such that there's an injury to Aaron Jones, which
41:05is very likely we have the injury finder app and he's near the top of the running back cohort.
41:11Suddenly Claiborne's in there and then he's actually thriving with Kyler Murray.
41:14Kyler Murray's, you know, he'll dump it off. He's one of the few mobile quarterbacks you see dumping it off at a
41:21high enough rate because they didn't really have an elite satellite back in Arizona while he was there.
41:26So I just I really want to draft Michael Mayer.
41:29I just want to tell you that right now.
41:32I really want Michael Mayer here. I think Michael Mayer is going to sign this big contract next year and he's basically
41:39going to be like prime David Njoku and Charlie Kohler all rolled up into one and he's going to get signed by
41:45someone potentially like the Chargers, like a top tier offense come in and be the main receiving tight end and just a
41:52pure two way tight end that can do it all because all that we know about him other than that he was
41:58an elite prospect and he's been productive and efficient when called upon.
42:02All we know about him is he's not quite as good as Brock Bowers.
42:06OK, yeah, well, that's like people arguing about Carnell Tate not being as good as Jeremiah Smith.
42:11The guy is a hooper. They're both ballers, respectively, Carnell Tate and Michael Mayer.
42:15But you've got to play war value games here.
42:18When you go, Juwan Johnson has your third tight end.
42:21You selecting Michael Mayer is betting against the depth you already have at tight end.
42:25In war value games, what's more valuable? A high end RB to sometimes back end RB one on a given week.
42:32All right. All right. All right. All right. I mean, it's a similar argument I've been making like I was making with David Montgomery.
42:39It goes both ways, right? Just like you can choose to draft a player knowing you'll be able to easily flip him in October, November.
42:46You can not draft a player. No, he's going to be relatively easy to acquire in October, November.
42:52And that's Michael. If I let Michael Mayer go, it's not like unless there's an injury to Brock Bowers.
42:57But even so, like everyone's going to be Brock Bowers, we back and then Michael Mayer goes back in the box.
43:04It's not like he's going to have this huge price surge, right?
43:07Now, so there are very few paths, if any, other than a trade where you could see Michael Mayer getting a huge
43:14spike in lifetime value, projected lifetime value in dynasty.
43:16It's really not going to be until 2027 that it's fully digested and priced in.
43:21Whereas Claiborne could be a rocket ship in week two.
43:24And you can't get them and you won't be able to get them.
43:28All right, I'm picking him. I just, damn, I just picked him right now.
43:32I just picked him. And to your point, everything that you've been preaching, you have to trust the process that you will
43:39have other opportunities to acquire Michael Mayer in this league.
43:41This is something you should bookmark for yourself. Hey, am I able to get both in the startup, Claiborne, where I had
43:48the 50-50 decision between Mayer and Claiborne? And am I able to pull off later a value dip on Michael Mayer?
43:54It'll be interesting to see. How high in the queue is Michael Mayer?
43:58Do you just happen to have him higher? Is there a chance that he comes back to you the next round?
44:04Yeah, I mean, Jamie Progg's on the trade analyzer right now.
44:08And he's saying that we have Claiborne more valuable than Mayer in tight end premium.
44:12And that's likely. I have an irrational affinity for Michael Mayer.
44:15I think partly because I just want to be that guy that is seemingly seeing the future.
44:21I want to have the crystal ball. Now, just betting on a rookie at his ADP, that's not a crystal ball.
44:27Guys like Michael Mayer, they're the dynasty crystal balls where everyone's like, where's Michael Mayer?
44:31Who has Michael Mayer? I can't believe Michael Mayer just got this contract.
44:35Oh, the podfather has him, of course. That's that.
44:38That's the Michael. Michael Mayer has that where you can look really smart.
44:42Yeah. And I think that if I had to psychoanalyze myself and why I might have Mayer at a slightly irrational level
44:48when I'm processing trades just instantly, right? Just back of the napkin.
44:52That does happen to me. I'm susceptible to that.
44:55Well, I think what you do is you clip this last five minutes and you have it as an archive.
45:01And then when it does play out, you have something to fall back on.
45:05And people cannot say that you weren't prescient to this play on Michael Mayer.
45:09Yeah. So we have a podcast. You got to have a podcast too.
45:13You got to do the trades, but then you also make the picks and then you have a podcast.
45:18First, you get the power, the money, power, respect, right?
45:21It all goes in that order. Yep. Another trade.
45:24This is an interesting one. You sent me this.
45:27This one is Dak Prescott for Brissett in the 27th first.
45:30What are we talking? Okay. Just break down easily in a vacuum.
45:34Just pretend Brissett's not on the other side. Is this an early, middle, or late pick for Dak Prescott on the 27th?
45:40What would you, what do you want to do the exercise on?
45:44Was this, this was single quarterback, I'm assuming? It's super flex.
45:47What? What? What does it say on the top?
45:50Yeah. It says SF, SF PPR. So there you go.
45:53There you have it. Look, I traded away in earlier last year.
45:56It's a 27-1 to acquire Dak Prescott. It's a late 27-1 is how it's going to project.
46:01I would absolutely take Dak Prescott. If you can be top five in fancy points per game every other year with Dak
46:08Prescott, if they're going to throw 550 to 600 times a year, give me Dak Prescott.
46:13We've talked about these pocket passers because those rushing days are gone for Dak Prescott.
46:17If you can be 31, 32 years old, I think you're going to play the next five years.
46:23We've talked about Matthew Stafford at nauseam at 38.
46:25He wants to play to 40. And then I think it's just, you get to about late 30s to 40 and you
46:32game the two-year contract game where it seems year to year, but really you're just pushing out a two-year contract to keep
46:38pushing up your value, to keep cashing in, to make money.
46:42Tom Brady really set the precedent on this at 45.
46:45And God, you had Phillip Rivers come back ancient.
46:47You're going to have quarterbacks who want to be here.
46:50Look, Dak Prescott's going to be, he's going to play another decade in my head.
46:55So give me Dak Prescott. Even if he plays five years, it's all you could possibly project.
47:00Just in terms of you're adding up the lifetime value of your roster.
47:04Get out of here. What is this? I mean, it has to be so clearly a locked in top three pick.
47:10Yes. There has to be a roster that you could say with 90 plus percent certainty, this is going to be a top three pick.
47:17And then I'm in play for Arch Manning or I'm in play for Jeremiah Smith.
47:22I have a, let's say 70% chance of getting one of those two guys.
47:26Now it's a conversation, right? But it has to be that bad.
47:30And you have to be that certain that that team is going to be top three, because as soon as you start
47:36entertaining the idea that this is going to be like the sixth, seventh, eighth pick, then I mean, no, only Arch Manning
47:43is going to approach the super flex value of Dak.
47:46Prescott after the 2027 draft. That's it. This is like 101, maybe 102 or bust in order to get this trade even.
47:52Yeah. You might end up with somebody, and this is all speculation, Darian Mensah, who could be a middle to late round rookie one.
47:59He could slide up there if he is the Heisman candidate.
48:03He's down there in Miami, gets another year of, but that's all speculation at this point to your point.
48:08So if it's at 101 to 104, sure, I'll buy it, but you have to be very certain and confident to offload somebody like Dak Prescott.
48:16And not for nothing, why not have some safety?
48:19There's so much safety in Dak Prescott where he's your QB two who can give you top five quarterback upside on a
48:25given year if he runs pure in the passing department.
48:28Okay. We've got another trade. You ready for this?
48:31Yep. Let's take a look. This is a trade I did because I'm sick of talking about other people's trades.
48:37This is a trade I did where I did acquire a 2027 first from Moneyball Nola, my favorite commissioner.
48:43Okay. And this is likely going to be late.
48:45It's probably going to be anywhere between eight and 10, 11, right?
48:49So second half, it's not a clear, like this is not a juggernaut type team, but it's a good team, right?
48:55And it's a team that just got Trevor. I wish Travis ETN, HN ETN.
48:59And then it got a Rhonda Gaston and Kyle Mononguy.
49:02So I'm sending ETN, HN, the Travis version. A Gaston and Mononguy and a 2027 fourth and a 2028 fourth.
49:08I am receiving a 2027 first in the, like we'll say eight to 10 range.
49:13Jarquez Hunter, Devin Neal, Ollie Gordon, and Justin Jolie.
49:15That's the trade. So this is one of those things where with ETN, Gaston, Mononguy, that side is getting the better end,
49:22but you cannot acquire and pry off their cold dead hands at 27 one without giving something like that up.
49:28But it's funny enough. You almost want more with how much or a player of more gravitas star player wise than you
49:35get in the combo of ETN, Gaston and Mononguy.
49:37So it's one of those things where it's a good deal for both sides for what you're trying to build.
49:43And funny enough, though, Devin Neal, for you to keep him in send away Travis HN, the path where Kendra Miller doesn't
49:50keep his health, Alvin Kamara, the crossroads happen where he's out in some form or fashion.
49:54Then you have the direct handcuff backup to Travis HN.
49:57And while we're on the subject of HN, how cool would it be in funny if Devon HN were just to be
50:04like, hey, it's it's ETN guys just throwing that out there.
50:07But how do you feel? You have two first now in the 27 year, correct?
50:12Yeah, two or three. I don't remember exactly what I'm trying to actively rebuild a team.
50:17And Travis HN ETN was one of the oldest pieces that I had.
50:20He's on the other side of the age apex by a couple of years.
50:25He has not had a lot of wear and tear.
50:28So I do think he's another candidate. First round pick to go stay strong, stay healthy, play out into his 30s.
50:34It's very possible. And he's going to be he's going to be valuable on a surging Saints offense.
50:39I love him this year. But that's the price you want to pay.
50:43You're going to have to if you want a 2027 first, that's what you're going to pay.
50:48That's it. And I'm fine with it. If I could have a post apex running back who could be facing some level
50:55of committee this year and a year one breakout tight end that needs to prove himself in the next couple of years
51:01that he can join that that echelon of the Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland.
51:05He still has a lot to prove to get into that echelon.
51:09I'll shed all that risk and I'll get the 2027 first.
51:12And I can promise you, especially getting Hunter, getting Gordon, getting Neil, one of those running backs is going to is going to surge as well.
51:20It's going to have a pop during the season.
51:22I really hope it's Jarquez Hunter. I have so much Jarquez Hunter at this point.
51:27I really do. I really do. Well, put names to picks.
51:30What if you get Jaden Baugh from Florida, the running back?
51:33All of a sudden, that is just like lights out better than Travis Achan.
51:38There's a reason why the 2027 first are valuable.
51:40Do we have to go through that right now?
51:43Do we have to go through that exercise of explaining why the 2027 first are valuable?
51:48They're incredibly valuable. Your origin pick, your 27 that you have is at a middle or high end 27-1.
51:53What's it lining up to be? It's going to be a high end one.
51:58Most of these teams, they're orphans and I'm tearing them down.
52:01So that's really cool when you put it into the context there too, because Kyle Monongai is not moving the needle.
52:07He's helping your trade partner right now. So that's what's good for him.
52:11It's a good for both sides deal. No, I'm pretty happy with the deal.
52:15I'm very happy. The last time I checked, 2027 first are really valuable.
52:19And we can start listing all the players, all the prospects that are supposed to be coming out in the 2027 draft, including Arch Manning.
52:27Right. There's also a possibility that his team disappoints.
52:29There's injuries. There's fragility. And suddenly that's like the 104, 105.
52:33This happens all the time with teams where, hey, it looked really good, but then Lamar got hurt.
52:38And then once Lamar got hurt, that team really spiraled.
52:41And it's like, yeah, yeah. A lot of these teams that look great on paper in week one, a few weeks into
52:47the season, suddenly it's like, oh, well, I guess things aren't really aligning.
52:51I thought especially when you have a dynasty manager acquiring some win now assets, the worst ones like the older running back.
52:58And then immediately like they're done after week one.
53:01It's like, oh, I guess I guess it didn't help you to go get James Conner, did it?
53:06Oh, no. Oh, no. Maybe your team's actually not going to make a run.
53:10This could be a very valuable pick after all.
53:13Hey, we have some good news there, too. Looks like you have three 27 first because you got the 27 first.
53:19So let's just say you have an early, a middle and a late.
53:23You're set up beautifully for 2027, all for schlepping away some pieces that may not may not really move the needle for you, but can help them.
53:31So I love it. Yeah, I think it's it was a great, great trade.
53:35Here's another one. Here's another one. OK, so this one I'm not as confident.
53:39OK, this one I reacted to a fellow manager putting Parker Washington on the block.
53:44It was late at night. I was about to go to bed and I was like, oh, my God, so don't put Parker Washington on the block.
53:52I won't be able to live with myself if I go to bed and he trades him, you know, when I wake up in the morning.
54:00I got to make sure I submit an offer.
54:02And so I go to his team and I'm like, oh, I like Emmett Johnson.
54:07Hey, I'll take Chris Rodriguez. Oh, I love Mac Jones.
54:10He's like one of my favorite stash quarterbacks and super flex.
54:13And I was very weak at quarterback and my team had no chance of winning this year.
54:18So I was like, I need this DK Metcalf is a hot potato.
54:22Right. So I acquired Mac Jones, Parker Washington, Chris Rodriguez, Emmett Johnson.
54:26I gave up DK Metcalf, Brian Robinson, Tank Bigsby and yeah.
54:29So I traded him DK Metcalf, Brian Robinson, Tank Bigsby and Bucky.
54:32Well, we have to establish a couple of things and confirm because you're just laying it out.
54:37You're being vulnerable with the audience here. You are not riding your bicycle.
54:41You are not taking a dump when you're actively two of the best places that you could be efficient in your mind.
54:48You're a one half eyelid shut and maybe you're groggy.
54:51You just put the phone down, you send it away and then you're on the pillow.
54:56So this is the context to that. I cannot get excited in any shape, way, manner or form about DK Metcalf.
55:02So he is a little bit that helps and enhances that Bucky Irving side, which you sent away.
55:07But what if Chris Rodriguez usurps and takes over Bejal Tootin and flips the ADP?
55:12And then of course you have Parker Washington who goes off.
55:15So that's really not far away, especially if Kenneth Gainwell chips and eats into what's going on in Tampa Bay with Bucky Irving.
55:22Not the worst trade, but the best piece of that deal is Bucky Irving.
55:26It's Bucky Irving. I should have asked for a 2027 third.
55:29That was the mistake. And I've actually made this mistake before and we've talked about this.
55:34There was another trade that I did not long ago where it was fair and balanced, but I think I could have
55:41chiseled away a third or a fourth in 2027.
55:43Just get into trade talks. But my attitude was this guy put this player on the block and now they were basically
55:50submitting best and final bids before I go to bed.
55:53And this is my best and final. So that's how I thought of it.
55:57I thought of it more like an auction than trade talks.
56:00That's always a mistake. And you really should always know that this is always trade talks.
56:05There's no such thing as an auction. He's not going to be, this is not time bombed or even though they sit
56:12with these time bombed offer, no one's going to just trade the guy away in the middle of the night.
56:18If you ask for a 2027 third and they're intrigued by the trade to start, they will engage in trade talks and
56:24you'll probably be able to get at least like a fourth rounder.
56:28Like I think it would have been at least able to get a fourth rounder in 2027, maybe a 2028 third, something like that.
56:35In addition to, you know, to quote unquote balance the trade out.
56:39I think I could have achieved that. And so that was just, that was an oversight.
56:43It was an oversight by the podfather. Well, the trade partner, they didn't effectively put out a time bomb, but this felt
56:50like a time bomb player in Parker Washington. So to that effect, look, they did the correct thing.
56:55Calling back to how we started the show. You want to put it out there to the group because you want to bid for the best offer.
57:03Now for you, what helped that trade partner was the fact that you felt that pressure of there's other people.
57:09That creates a competitive market, not something that would shut down a startup in the first five picks.
57:15So good on that trade partner. Yeah. Yeah. It was great.
57:18You put the player on the block and immediately traded them away.
57:21And everyone had an opportunity to submit their bids.
57:24And I, I, I won, I probably would have overpaid, but the way I think about it is I'm not going to win that league.
57:32There's a, there's one of these super teams in that league.
57:35So then I have to find a way to put together a super team.
57:39And that means taking chances. That means saying Emmett Johnson is just essentially the 2026 version of Bucky Irving.
57:45Oh, that would just be so electric. Hey, LaShawn McCoy comps from Andy Reed.
57:49Yeah. Yeah. Bonarific. Right. So that, that, that could be how things play out.
57:53So I'm taking a risk, a swing on Emmett Johnson that I can recoup a bunch of that production that I gave up at Bucky Irving.
58:01And then what have I got? Then I've got this quarterback lottery ticket in Mac Jones that could pay off in a huge way.
58:08And I have someone that's beyond a wide receiver lottery ticket.
58:11I got Parker fucking Washington, man. Like his value on player profile or a dynasty deluxe.
58:16It's like Parker Washington is like double DK Metcalf.
58:19And we're the only place where the only property you're going to go, or you're going to see a dynasty valuation on
58:25a player like Parker Washington, double that of DK Metcalf.
58:28But that's because we know, we know where these players are going.
58:32We are giving you tomorrow's newspaper. So you can go ahead and look at the trade and go, Oh wow, this trade
58:38actually, I'm coming out just fine on this deal.
58:41However, knowing the market, I'll also ask for a third, just put a little 20, 27 third in there just to sweeten the offer.
58:48Make sure that I get full value here. I think what you need to do is for DK Metcalf, it is DK Decaf.
58:55He's going to put us to sleep. I think you need to change the image to a Decaf cup of coffee because
59:02that's how much we are sleeping on DK Metcalf.
59:04And sure enough, you're trading him away in this deal.
59:07I'm right with you. It couldn't be furthermore out in almost every format, even best ball where you don't have to guess.
59:14I'm not interested. I'd prefer Pittman or Jeremy Bernard than DK Metcalf.
59:17It is rough. Swim, swim, swim in the chat is saying the skills Washington showed aren't going away, but people take a
59:24while to rebuild the image of what they had in their minds.
59:28Yes. If you're a six round pick and it's a, how's the prospect?
59:31Think of how much people are holding onto Travis Hunter and people wouldn't afford that same thing for a guy like Parker
59:38Washington, who's had to climb all the way up from his rank.
59:42So good call out there. He's got that return ability.
59:45That's dynamism that we want in all the signal is there.
59:48We're just waiting for that contract. That's going to cement it.
59:51We just saw it for Brenton Strange. Ideally ducks are getting in a row for Jacksonville on that front for Parker Washington.
59:58I'm looking forward to it, man. I, I, I'm just trying to get out ahead of this.
60:03You see a guy where there's, where there's blood in the water.
60:06Right. And you, you just have to attack. You see it.
60:10You're like, oh my God, I can't believe someone's throwing Parker Washington overboard.
60:13I gotta be the first one to get there.
60:16Right. That's the type of player. There's a handful of these players like Josh downs, right?
60:21Where moon of the stars are aligning and like there's about to be this big unveil in September, like the NFL's new
60:28target hog, Josh downs or Jacksonville's new alpha wide receiver in Parker Washington.
60:31And just when you want to be out ahead of that, there's not, what's the unveil going to be of DK Metcalf?
60:38Do you hope that he turns into Cortland Sutton where there's two separate breakouts in his career and they're like six years apart.
60:45Good luck. You ready for this? I got the, let's, let's try some different unveils.
60:49We're unveiling DK Metcalf's 2026 season. Okay. How about this?
60:52How about this? All right. DK Metcalf. What's he going to do this season?
60:56Get excited. I just traded for DK Metcalf. He's going to bounce back.
61:00I know it's a bounce back season. 2026. Uncovered windows can make your home feel up to 20 degrees higher.

61:41I feel so much better. I was worried. Like, I didn't know.
61:45I didn't know how the audience would react in the comments.
61:48People seem to like that trade. I didn't know how you'd react exactly.
61:52So I was insecure bringing that particular trade to the table.
61:55I bring all my trades to the table, no matter what.
61:58So I'm very pleased that you don't hate this trade.
62:01There's another one you might hate, though. Another one you might hate.
62:05But before we go, there's a trade that you sent me, isn't there?
62:09You sent me a trade related to one Brian Thomas Jr.
62:12So let's go ahead and put that up on the board real quick before we get to any more of my trades.
62:19So we've got Brian Thomas Jr. I sent away my 27-1.
62:22I was in the championship last year. So this projects to be a late round 27-1.
62:27And then there's Antonio Williams. One for one in a vacuum.
62:30What I've gotten feedback on from people is BTJ and that 27-1 are parallel.
62:34They're even. And me throwing in Antonio Williams puts it over.
62:38But for me, I'm willing to bet, gamble anything on whatever I'll lose on Antonio Williams.
62:42Keep in mind, Stephon Diggs could still go to the commanders this year.
62:46To gain what I can in Brian Thomas Jr.
62:49And send away a late 27-1. So in my eyes, I'm happy and fine with overpaying.
62:54If we're greasing a deal, look in sales. You talk to somebody.
62:57You want to get them to shit or get off the pot.
63:01Hey, what's it going to take to make this deal happen?
63:04And if they can't give you an answer, that deal can die.
63:08But if they can give you an answer, then you have a path.
63:12They like that transparency where it's like, hey, tell you what I'll do.
63:15And you're going to get a desirable deal for both ends.
63:19You want to lock up the championship. Go lock up the championship.
63:22And Brian Thomas, having him in there at Flex, the Spike Week specialists in Flex, I love that so much.
63:28And he's going to end up potentially producing more than whoever that first-round pick ultimately ends up becoming.
63:34And Antonio Williams has had very little buzz this year.
63:37You haven't heard anything from OTAs about, oh, Antonio Williams standing out.
63:40It's like, he's no Malik Benson. Well, I happen to have a lot of Antonio Williams in these round two parts of the draft and the rookie drafts.
63:48And now it's kind of like money laundering where, yes, he went higher because of how poorly this draft class went.
63:55But then I'm sitting there thinking like, hey, he's a throwing guy and he can grease the wheels for a trade and
64:01tier up to a player that I think is a tier up.
64:05Give it to me. I will launder away all the Antonio Williams as much as I acquired on one end if I
64:11can funnel it towards viable veteran players. Get another trade for you.
64:15What do we got? Yeah, it's a trade I did where, again, the manager put Michael Wilson on the block.
64:21And I looked at it and I said, I bet this guy values Jordan Addison over Michael Wilson.
64:26I don't, but I bet he does. So I'm going to go ahead and initiate some trade talks.
64:32And sure enough, after he kept coming back to me, he wanted a third rounder in 2027.
64:37So he wanted Jordan Addison in a third. And I said, no, no, no.
64:41I did end up giving him Jordan Addison in my 2027 fourth and 2027 fifth to get Michael Wilson.
64:47Michael Wilson I have in a completely different tier from Jordan Addison.
64:50Jordan Addison is in the mix for wide receiver two this year with Juwan Jennings.
64:55Michael Wilson is in the mix to be the wide receiver one.
64:58There's a big difference between those two players. Michael Wilson a little bit older, but he also has more of an alpha
65:05profile and alpha build and alpha skill set than Jordan Addison.
65:08This is one of those down the middle deals.
65:11And I'm just trying to acquire as much Michael Wilson, Parker Washington, Josh Downs, Jaden Reed, Jalen Coker.
65:16That swath of receivers. You see them right there in the Dynasty Deluxe rankings.
65:20You would target that swath. And that's what I'm doing.
65:23Yeah. Jordan Addison is one of those players. He's just like a lighter, cheaper version play wise of Jameson Williams, where the spike weeks are out there.
65:31He had two wide receiver one weeks his rookie season.
65:34A lot of that was geared towards having Kirk Cousins.
65:37So I do wonder if it boomerangs around to Kyler Murray, if we get more of that ascension and the talent to really bloom for Jordan Addison.
65:45That's my question out there. So but my question for you is between Michael Wilson and Jordan Addison.
65:51We've been discussing with our projections team how the Arizona Cardinals are going to take a step back in their past volume.
65:57Is there any bit of concern? This is still an even trade.
66:01Is there any concern there of Michael Wilson coming back?
66:04How much does he come back to earth percentage wise for you to where you still like this deal for yourself?
66:10And how much do they have to plummet to where you wouldn't like getting Michael Wilson at this point shipping off Addison?
66:17Michael Wilson is only going to go up in Dynasty when he gets the contract extension.
66:21So he and Parker Washington, again, are very similar players, very similar skill sets, very similar situations.
66:27Parker Washington's a few years younger. They're both going to get a nice little dynasty value bump when they sign their extensions.
66:33And those are coming up. This is very much not a make or break season for Michael Wilson.
66:38This is absolutely a make or break season for Marvin Harrison Jr.
66:42There is a lot at stake. And Marvin Harrison Jr.
66:45might just melt under that pressure. And if he melts under the pressure, then it's going to be the Michael Wilson and Trey McBride show.
66:52We'll call back to your Mind a Mansion show with the Denver Broncos trainer or assistant team doctor.
66:58Yes. The assistant team doctor. And we talked about...
67:00Michael Mayer just went, God damn it, with the next pick.
67:04God damn it. Oh, that is just rich. Hey, they're watching the show.
67:08Oh, what? I'm going to put it on the screen.
67:11This is just gross. This is gross. This is so gross.
67:14Finger on the pulse. Disgusting. Gross. Ugh. That hurts, man.
67:17That hurts. Okay. All right. I am comforted by one thing, though.
67:20Can I tell you this? I'm comforted by something.
67:23Tell me. That I did recently do a trade where I acquired Michael Mayer.
67:27Yep. In another league. So this is the trade.
67:30This is the final trade of the day. Final trade!
67:33Here it is! Get ready! Yay! The Podfather receives Michael Mayer and a 2027 second rounder.
67:38And I give up Evan Ingram and Jalen Warren.
67:40Yeah, I love this deal for you. Huge. We've already established how much we do like Michael Mayer, despite the portfolio approach we had in that last draft.
67:4927 seconds are so illiquid right now. People don't realize how amazing the 27 second picks are.
67:54I can't get them. I try to get them.
67:57I try to get them. I try to get them.
68:00I almost think getting a 2027 first is easier.
68:02Yes. Yes, absolutely. 100%. It doesn't make sense. It's counterintuitive.
68:05But you're sending away Jalen Warren. What's he going to catch?
68:0850 to 70 passes this year. Sure, you get that.
68:11But how long does that get you stretched for the fact that that 27 second is going to be so viable?
68:18It's building on to you. You're not in any situation.
68:21I don't think in any of your teams that you've orphaned, acquired, started up where you're in a deficit on picks.
68:27You're only plus. So anytime you're acquiring these picks, it's in addition to the nascent picks that you have original to you.
68:34And you're getting the benefactor. You're getting that satisfaction as much as you are just crestfallen about Michael Mayer getting sniped the
68:40very next pick after you had him in your queue.
68:43You have some Michael Mayer over here. So if you're sat on one end, just go over here and be happy.
68:49That's what you need to do. I love Michael Mayer and I feel great.
68:53You have some Michael Mayer over here. So if you're sat on one end, just go over here and be happy.
69:00That's what you need to do. I love Michael Mayer and I feel great.
69:04Michael Mayer just went God damn it with the next pick.
69:07They're not going to run the plays you want them to run because of your fantasy team.
69:12Final trade. Here it is. Get ready. I tired traded.
69:15I try to get him. I try to get him.
69:18I try to. I almost think getting a 2027 first is easier.
69:22For DK Metcalf, it is DK decaf. He's going to put us to sleep.
