0:59What is going on, everybody? Welcome on to another episode of Press Coverage.
1:03We help you gain an edge in fantasy football.
1:06I'm your host as always, Wyatt Burdell. With me today, Jeremiah Retzlaff, keeping it in the player profiler family here to talk about some year two tight ends.
1:14Jeremiah, how are you? Hey, Wyatt. Very happy to be here.
1:18And this is kind of like the draft night.
1:21It's like we left and we're just picking back up.
1:24It was so much fun with you in the reactions that we had live as it was.
1:29There's nothing like it that draft time. So it's good to chop it up and be back here with you.
1:36Love listening to the show. Usually I'll be driving around, be at the gym.
1:40So it's an honor and pleasure to be on the show and chop it up with you, Wyatt.
1:46Yeah. Hanging out at the draft house, talking instant reactions to all those draft picks was a great time.
1:52But today we're talking specifically about these year two tight ends and what a class it was.
1:57Before we jump into the individual players, give me your overall macro thoughts on this class.
2:02Well, it's early, middle, late how you benefited so much when you told me, hey, second year tight ends.
2:08And I'm sitting there like, oh my God, they all really hit in their own way and were bullish.
2:14And it really enhanced the tight ends from a macro standpoint.
2:18So the beauty is the price points have all changed.
2:21The decks have all shuffled. The cards are different.
2:24We did have Loveland and Warren at the top, but you take in a Rondé Gadsden.
2:29You have to get over the entry point in Dynasty, the startup price, the rookie round pick that you got him last
2:36year because you got to pay up. He's matriculated up.
2:39And maybe in the event that he has his best run out, he could end up rivaling the Tyler Warrens and the Colson Lovelens.
2:47Sounds crazy because it sounded crazy, a Rondé Gadsden hitting like he did last year until it happens.
2:52So we're not saying that's happening, but you can see that effect out there.
2:57And then Harold Fannin Jr., just an absolute target magnet.
3:00We'll see what he does this year. But just bullish signal in year one.
3:04You can't really put that genie back in the bottle.
3:07So there's a lot of that going on. A lot of you can't put the genie back in the bottle with this tight end class.
3:15And you talk about an influx like next year's quarterback class, Wyatt, where we're going to just get this tilt and change and shift in the NFL.
3:24I feel like we got that last year in the tight end class.
3:28And we're only going to feel those effects in the next three years because these players, I think, will continue to ascend.
3:35Yeah. You know, we've been having some really good rookie tight end seasons as of late, the past handful of years.
3:42And then we got this class where it's like this just blew up the tight end rankings as a whole.
3:48Like you said, they're littered throughout the rankings. They're littered through the top 10 of rankings now.
3:53Today, we're going to be talking about the top five in Dynasty marketplace valuation at this point.
3:59Naturally starting off with Colson Loveland. Tight end three in Dynasty everywhere right after Trey McBride and Brock Bowers.
4:05A lot of people out there even saying like he might be in that tier or be in that tier by the end of this season.
4:13In 2025, 10.3 PPR points per game. That's 10 and 15.
4:17But as we know, he really finished strong in going into the playoffs over his last 12 games, 14.7 PPR points per game.
4:24And really, he was their number one guy into the playoffs.
4:27Like when they needed a play, they were going to Colson Loveland.
4:31So everyone's really excited for him going into 2026.
4:34Worth mentioning, though, with Luther Burden and Romo Junze there, it can be a bit crowded.
4:39How are you feeling about Loveland? Is he worth this price?
4:43Well, it's funny you mentioned it. Tight end three.
4:45When you have McBride and you have Bowers, who are essentially their wide receiver ones.
4:50Look at the receiver room in Arizona. You would still put Trey McBride above Michael Wilson and, of course, Marvin Harrison Jr.
4:57With Brock Bowers, you got Naylor and Tucker. It's clearly 1A is going to be Bowers.
5:02So you have to solve that equation for Colson Loveland because he has to route around Romo Junze and the combination of Luther Burden.
5:10But the beauty is we always have that trope, that message of can you be the top two target in your offense?
5:17And even though the Bears receiving room is better and superior than at least the Raiders, maybe a little bit more even
5:24with the Arizona Cardinals, we think and we believe that Loveland, the trajectory is he will be the 1A in that offense.
5:31So tied to Caleb Williams, you absolutely love to see it.
5:34And Shev, our good friend Shev, talks about this stat and I love it.
5:39I hit him up today. I was like, look, I need to run this stat again.
5:44And the people need to hear it on this show.
5:47There have been nine tight ends since 2000 that have surpassed 650 yards as rookies.
5:52So you've got Kyle Pitts, Brock Bowers, we've heard of him, right?
5:55Sam Laporta, Colson Loveland, Arande Gaston, Harold Fannin, Dalton Kincaid, and Tyler Warren.
5:59Yes, Tyler Warren. So it's been an influx. And then the last one is Jeremy Shockey.
6:05And if you remember his rookie season. Shout out Jeremy Shockey.
6:08Just talking junk. I remember him talking junk to, I think it was Troy Vincent, the defensive back on Philly, catching the touchdown.
6:15Hey, that's just memories there. But this is great company for Colson Loveland and a strong signal.
6:21I really think he's going to at least surpass Roma Dunze.
6:24And cart before the horse, we love Luther Burden.
6:27And I'll be interested to hear what you have to think.
6:31Do you put Luther Burden ahead of Loveland? Or do you think Burden has to earn that to get above Loveland?
6:37Because right now I put Loveland very much near 1A as a primary target in this offense.
6:43I wouldn't be surprised by any outcome of any of these three top three targets on the Bears leading them in targets.
6:50Would not surprise me no matter what. I think it's going to be really close between all three of them.
6:56And I think that Colson Loveland is easily the best player at his position out of those three.
7:02I can understand why we're getting some hype for Luther Burden.
7:05You know, the yards per outrun stat, you know, that everyone likes to point to.
7:10I like to throw out. That's on like 200 less routes than like all the other people in that top list.
7:16You know, like it's a much smaller sample size for Luther Burden.
7:20And I think he still has a ways to go for the hype that he's getting.
7:25So I'm not quite there. I'll say with Loveland, if we think that it's going to even, I think like the general
7:32kind of feeling around the industry is like, it's hard to say who's really going to lead this team in targets.
7:39Well, that's, if that's the case, Loveland is the only one who can really ascend at his position when that's the case.
7:46Because he doesn't need as much to be really good at his position compared to the wide receivers at their position.
7:53So it's easily Loveland for me if I'm going to bet on a piece of this offense.
7:58And I'll say like, everybody wants Colson Loveland on their team, right?
8:02Like once we talk about elite asset, like everyone wants him, right?
8:06Like we can just move past that part. So I think like trying to find real ways to get Loveland is what we have to do.
8:14So like, I want to ask you, let's say you have Brock Bowers or Trey McBride.
8:19What would it take you to move off of them to Loveland?
8:23What has to be added on the Loveland to move down?
8:26Man, so a 27 second, I don't think moves it, but I don't think the problem is once you say, all right,
8:33a 27 one, and we're talking maybe a mid one or an early one, that gets the needle moving.
8:39Problem is, I don't think this is one of those things where I have my guy, you have your guy.
8:45I'm not going to get off of them. I'm not going to come away from them.
8:51Like Loveland, if you have Loveland, you have that entry point, that discovery fee, that founder's fee, where you're not going to
8:57really care to tier, be part of the tier down from the Bowers and McBride people.
9:03And I don't think the Bowers and McBride people are ever going to be interested in tiering down either.
9:09I think they're just glued in, locked into their person.
9:12But the second 27 second feels light. So maybe if you get a 28 second in there too, like two seconds on
9:19top, it's just very tough because you would think the 27 one would get it done.
9:24But do I, I would rather roll with Loveland and keep my 27 one than give that up to launch up.
9:30So I think that's where, how do you find that middle ground?
9:34Do we then go to a player? Is it somebody where you add like a Devonta Smith, a non-guaranteed player, but somebody
9:41who we think is going to be excellent? Like, what would you do?
9:45I think you're right. Like a 27 second seems light to bridge the gap between those two.
9:51But going all the way up to a first might be too much to even want to make the deal.
9:57If you're the Colson Loveland player, like moving off of Bowers or McBride to Loveland in the 27 first is a deal.
10:04I'm probably interested in doing because I feel so strongly about Loveland and potentially, you know, just being in that tier with
10:11those players by the end of season's end. But I also don't think those, you know, I'm actually going to get that
10:18deal, you know, out there on the market. You know, Colson Loveland, it might be one of those, if you want him,
10:25do a startup draft and take him there. That's absolutely true.
10:28It's a great point because all these are in theory and in practice and it becomes illiquid.
10:34When I look at a tight end room and if I want to trade my tight end, I look around and I
10:41think a lot of people are willing to just roll with what they have.
10:45They're not interested in tearing up to the Bowers and the McBrides.
10:49If you've got somebody like a Kyle Pitts and a Harold Fannin Jr.
10:53Somehow if you've lucked into them or you've got a Gaston and a Tucker Kraft or a Gaston and a Sam Laporte, you're like, hey, you know what?
11:02I'll just roll with trying to find different positional advantage.
11:05So in a way, there's tight end gridlock that's happened and occurred.
11:09And the beauty is how we let off the show with these tight ends early, middle and late.
11:15It's just given us an influx where do you want to do the barbell strategy in a startup where you go early
11:22at tight end and go late or you skip the entire middle?
11:25Or do you get somebody like a Tucker Kraft as your tight end six?
11:30Because you feel like you're at the end of a pocket at a tier before somebody like Kyle Pitts.
11:36But then I feel like you can just keep rationalizing all the way down to somebody like Brenton Strange.
11:42Shout out to his new contract. There's all these tight ends who you're just like, you know what?
11:48I'll keep pushing another round. I'll go with a late Travis Kelsey in tandem with Eli Stowers and then wait till Stowers
11:55hits and then ride out hopefully a dead gap ounce with Eric Biennemi and Travis Kelsey.
12:00So do you see that influx too across the tight end where it's littered and it's tough to go into your other
12:0711 and say, I'm going to get out of my tight end room and really reap the feast?
12:12You know, say Drake London, I can get three ones out for him.
12:16Do you really feel like you can get that cash out viability versus I kind of think that most people are like, you know what?
12:24I'm set. I'm good with what I've got. And I'm just going to accept the tight end room I have because there's a lot more depth out there.
12:33I think the beautiful thing right now is for many years we were talking about like, oh, tight end is back.
12:40We have tight end depth that and like we were wrong for many years.
12:44I think it's actually right now. There are tight ends littered throughout the tighter tight end rankings that I feel good about at their prices.
12:52You know, there truly are a lot of really good tight ends in the NFL right now that are producing in fantasy football.
12:59So ultimately, I think really you can kind of find your path in your league.
13:04You know, finding the prices that make the most sense wherever they are in in those rankings.
13:10You know, whether that's being a tight end room where you're you've got a couple fringe top 12 guys and you're playing
13:17the matchups, whether it's finding an elite and and and a dart, you know, late round dart to possibly be something.
13:23Or like you said, the Kelsey Stowers kind of balance at tight end.
13:27I think all of these are viable at this point in your dynasty leagues.
13:32All right. Tight end two for the day. Tyler Warren.
13:35Tight end four everywhere. Just like Loveland. He's right after him.
13:38These two are probably linked for the rest of your careers going so closely in the NFL draft in rookie drafts.
13:45And now both having really good rookie seasons. Tyler Warren 11.1 PPR points per game as tight end nine in 2025.
13:52But as we know with him, he was better before the Daniel Jones injury, 13.1 PPR points per game in the first 12 games.
13:59Daniel Jones gets lost for the year. That offense craters a bit.
14:03How are you feeling about Warren? I'm very happy, excited.
14:06I'm invigorated by him in this offseason. We were hurt.
14:09It was basically the amecabuca syndrome where front half, back half, and the psychological dulling that you have where the dopamine just drained.
14:17And, yeah, you're like, okay, respect to Tyler Warren.
14:20But we need to get back again excited about his prospect profile, how he just dominated, and was just a NFL player.
14:27When you watch eye test Tyler Warren at Penn State, he was just an absolute monster on the field.
14:33He was just gigantic, and you could just tell, hey, this guy's going to be a hooper at the NFL level.
14:39And you spoke to Wyatt the first 10 weeks.
14:42He all managed to be the tight end four despite just the drop-off in the final eight weeks due to the Daniel Jones injury.
14:50If the Colts can have some amnesia and want to re-roll with Daniel Jones, then why can't we with Tyler Warren?
14:56You take into account Alec Pierce is going to probably start on the pup for the season.
15:02Looking that way. Yep. All the signs point to, oh, go get some Josh Downs.
15:06But the more expensive premium price piece is Tyler Warren.
15:10First 10 weeks last year, third in targets with 64.
15:13Third in receptions. First in yards. Yards per route run, six.
15:16First in yak. So the numbers were all there for Tyler Warren.
15:20Ironically, if you were keyed in on the games, Wyatt, it was first quarter, first drive.
15:25He was getting fed. He was in the game plan.
15:28And then there was even some fallout there. So you're sitting there thinking, like, if you could be the feature, we talk
15:35about being the one in the offense. There's a lot of viability opening opportunity here for Tyler Warren to be the number one in this offense.
15:43And he has a shot to be the top tight end in fantasy football.
15:48And I've got to say, Loveland truthers, Warren truthers, I'd like to know, are you one, the other, or both as a truther?
15:55Because I find it's the same thing with Jaden Daniels and Caleb Williams.
15:59You could be in on Jaden Daniels, his rookie season, a little bit more bearish on Caleb, but still understand, hey, Caleb's going to be good long term.
16:08And then as things shifted, they went divergent. But I think year three track, Caleb has ascended up highest.
16:14Like, one doing well doesn't have to mean the other is bad.
16:18And I see Jaden Daniels with a bounce back while Williams ascends.
16:22The same thing for Loveland and Warren. Just because you're a Warren truther doesn't mean you have to be out on Loveland.
16:29And just because you've been sharp and the smartest person in the room on Loveland doesn't mean you have to throw away Tyler Warren.
16:36Both can be good. And right now, respective, it's accurate.
16:40A three and four ranking is there for a reason.
16:43And I see so much bullish out there for Tyler Warren.
16:46So are you more of a – who were you coming in more of a truther of?
16:52And how do you feel about those two? I was a Loveland guy coming in.
16:56I liked him more. I thought he was a more complete tight end.
17:00And I liked that he did a little bit more of his production earlier on in his career.
17:06Whereas Tyler Warren was kind of a senior season breakout.
17:09It was a hell of a breakout, right? But it was late.
17:13So it was just like nitpicking between those two.
17:16That's what put me on to Loveland. But it wasn't like I disliked Tyler Warren.
17:21It's just I preferred Love Between the Two. I love the point that you brought up about Warren and how he was
17:28a part of their game plan immediately and early in games.
17:31And really that passing game left some meat on the bone.
17:35Because if people forget, like the Colts were crushing it early in the season.
17:39And like so much so that they stopped having to pass like in games.
17:44Like they were just winning games so easily that they didn't have to pass as much.
17:49But like you'd watch these box scores like as they're happening.
17:52And Tyler Warren is like four for 50 in the first half.
17:56But he ends with like six for 67. And you're like, oh, okay.
18:00Like, you know. So there was actually some left there on bone for him.
18:04Unfortunate, you know, end of the season run with Daniel Jones being hurt.
18:09I really like him moving forward in 2026. I think the Alec Pierce injury leads even more into Tyler Warren's hand.
18:15Potentially more than Josh Downs. People have really jumped on Josh Downs because Josh Downs is a dynasty truther for so many of us.
18:23They're like, we're waiting for that breakout to happen that we really want and we're really jumping on it.
18:29But like Tyler Warren just staying there. He was already one of the prime targets in the offense before any of this, right?
18:36So that could just easily happen again in 2026.
18:39I want to ask you now, do you think this is a similar situation to Colson Loveland when it comes to action on the dynasty market?
18:47Like we were talking about like if you were trying to move back from McBride or Bowers to Loveland, is it basically
18:54the same kind of deals when you're looking at Warren?
18:57Like same types of trouble? Like is this a startup pick as a way to get him?
19:03I would approach it towards could you patch Tyler Warren?
19:06And Emeka Ibuka and land Justin Jefferson. Would that be a little bit closer?
19:10In the pendulum sliding for tight end, I still think we're in that gridlock where there's a lack of liquidity on the
19:17market, where you're sliding back the scales for the tight end.
19:21I don't think you're going to get the payout that you want for Tyler Warren.
19:26That's what it comes down to. You're not going to get the satisfaction of the cash out splash that you think you could.
19:33And especially that back half. If you're a Warren truther, you know what you're holding.
19:38You know what you've got. But a trade partner who's wise and savvy can say, you know what?
19:43They really, you know, crap the bed at the end of the year last year.
19:48And you can blame push shift narrative how you want to your favor when you're trying to deal towards that and throw
19:55some negatives out there to try and lower the price.
19:58So I don't think you're going to get a satisfactory price on trying to sell on Tyler Warren.
20:04I don't think you would want to either. Either he's 24, a young 24, just a tremendous talent.
20:10And the idea of maybe he could get some carries inside the five.
20:14I would really just when you look at his touchdowns where he had just four, that's another one.
20:19We get right. Right. We get six more touchdowns.
20:22And sometimes just those touchdowns, those handful of touchdowns make or break how you're catapulting up the tight end rankings in the finish for the season.
20:30And you're telling me that he can't get 10 touchdowns next year.
20:34It would absolutely alter a whole lot for him.
20:37And he was still the tight end four. So that's what just I keep coming back to is you basically, you know,
20:44shit the bed the last half to fault of his own or no fault of his own, wherever people stand on that.
20:51It just wasn't there in the second half. And you had mentioned the meat on the bone for the rest of the game.
20:58What if they're, you know, they talk about that looks maxing phase, that clavicular guy, whoever it is.
21:04But what if they were like tight end target maxing?
21:07What if you're Tyler Warren maxing throughout the entire game?
21:10If you're the Colts, the game plan funnels and runs through Tyler Warren.
21:14Let's get that for a full 17 games. Then you're looking at somebody like Travis Kelsey.
21:20And funny enough, last year, Kelsey talking about a value.
21:23I know he's not on the show sheet, but Travis Kelsey presents as a value.
21:27We had mentioned them before because his numbers are receptions, targets yards per reception were very on par with Tyler Warren.
21:34So it's so funny how we've cast away Travis Kelsey.
21:37Kelsey, there's a bargain bin player for everybody out there is Travis Kelsey.
21:41Who would have ever thought that we'd say that for next year with Eric B.
21:46Enemy. So funny enough, one is tight end for young and moving up, matriculating up our charts.
21:52And then the other is kind of getting casted away and told to retire while he gets married to the world's most famous pop star in Taylor Swift.
22:00But yeah, exactly. It is wild to see Travis Kelsey still do his thing at the point he is in his career.
22:07But everybody, we're going to take a quick second to hear about the world famous player profiler draft kit.
22:13And we'll be back on the other side. You know, the original player profiler was just my podcasting tool that I made
22:20available to the public so that you could follow along and look up the stats while I'm looking them up and talking about them on the show.
22:29And then you're asking, well, I want to dominate my drafts.
22:32I want to know what you know about Josh Downs and Trey Harris and Jalen Coker.
22:37So that's why we have the world famous draft kit.
22:41The key team insights, the player breakdowns, and the key stats that you need to know, like vacated targets, vacated touches, all
22:48there available to you with cheat sheets for every format and interactive drafting.
22:52As you draft, the players fly off the board.
22:55And this year, for the first time, I am publishing my personal draft cheat sheet during draft season as well as Bradley's.
23:02And when you sign up for the all-in package, you get $25 off with Code Podfather.
23:07Code Podfather, $25 off. The world famous draft kit is now live.
23:10It is ready. It is complete. So go grab it and dominate your drafts.
23:15I like gum. I chew it all the time, every day.
23:18And lately, I've been trying this Underbrush from Nathan & Sons.
23:22It's remineralizing chewing gum. Basically an oral care routine in gum form.
23:26You brush in the morning and at night, but after lunch, there's a big gap where most of us do nothing for our teeth.
23:33Underbrush is made for that moment. Chew it for 5 to 10 minutes.
23:37Spit it out. Move on. Or keep chewing if you like the feel of it.
23:42It's made with hydroxyapatite, the same mineral your enamel is made from, as well as natural saps like mastic and spruce.
23:49So it has that firmer, really satisfying chew. To say it's all natural would be an understatement because they make it themselves
23:56from scratch in Northern California, where the biggest, best trees are.
23:59I'm so glad I found this company when it's only a few years old and the team is literally making, packing, and shipping gum every day.
24:07So if you want a simple daily upgrade for your teeth that tastes great, check out Underbrush.
24:13Order now at NathanAndSons.com. That is NathanAndSons.com. Try it now.
24:16We're going to need a bigger cake with room for 250 candles.

24:55Before we get to these tight ends, Jeremiah, let the people know what you've been working on.
25:00It's funny enough, it's in tandem with you, Wyatt.
25:03The player profiler draft kit, which was just mentioned by the Podfather.
25:07You had the Colts, Texans, and Cowboys, which you did a superb job of.
25:11So everyone, when you're going there to see our draft kit, the world-famous draft kit, you get three teams and all those
25:18players respective that he covered, that Wyatt covered. And you talk about being a professional.
25:23On the scenes and behind the scenes, Wyatt is the same person.
25:27So I just want everybody to know that. So it's pretty cool, just like an ace.
25:32Whenever he's called on on anything, those are three great team coverages that you're getting.
25:37So make sure you subscribe to our all-in package.
25:40Get that draft kit there. So it's what I've been working on.
25:43Beauty is I've got such great teammates at Player Profiler.
25:47And everybody got to go see Wyatt's work. Go tune in.
25:50You're way too kind to spend so much of that time talking about me when I gave you the moment to shine there.
25:57But let's move on to our next tight end, Harold Fannin Jr.
26:01Now, this is where we start to see a little bit of variability in the tight end evaluation because tight end five
26:08to tight end seven, depending on where you look.
26:11Dynasty Data Lab, he started at tight end five.
26:14Dynasty League Football started up ADP, tight end seven.
26:17Heat trade cut, tight end six. In 2025, 11.7 PPR points per game.
26:21He also was one of these who started to take off a little bit more towards the end of the season, 13.2
26:28PPR points per game over his final nine games.
26:31This is one of those where it was like, how did we not see it coming?
26:36And I know that there were people out there who were plenty excited for Harold Fannin Jr.
26:41coming into the NFL. But it was like, oh, the most productive college football tight end ever gets to the NFL.
26:48And he's immediately productive. And the offense just like builds the plane around him in the passing game.
26:53Like, yeah, of course, that's what happened. But because he's duck footed and he's not quite as athletic as people thought he
27:00would be in testing, you know, he falls down draft boards.
27:04But he's one of those people when you watch him play, you're just like, this dude is so good.
27:10Like, he's dynamic with the ball in his hands, consistently breaking tackles.
27:14He is he's definitely one of these players who has much better football speed than time speed.
27:19Like on the field, he he actually looks like a really athletic tight end when the way he's moving.
27:25And again, it's just impressive that like day one.
27:28And this is with David Njoku on the team still, who was still respected to be like a good tight end last year.
27:35And they're just like, not immediately. It's Harold fan juniors group.
27:39Like, it's this guy. So how are you feeling about fan going into 2026?
27:43It's crazy because going back to we saw it coming, but we didn't.
27:47And it's part of the degree of just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean that it can't happen.
27:53And I think what happens is we get so caught up in fantasy football of thinking, hey, there'd be too many tight ends who can hit.
28:01And what did happen? Too many tight ends did hit.
28:04And now we have a good saturation, a good problem.
28:07But because you wanted to limit it to maybe people thought, hey, you know what?
28:12It's just got to be we got to park it at Loveland and Warren.
28:17We just can't have more tight ends come in here and burst onto the scene.
28:21But you know what happened? Harold fan and junior around the gas and would not be denied regardless of draft capital round three pick Harold fan and junior.
28:30You love the investment. Remember, recall, and I know you're a Cleveland Browns fan.
28:35And we were really excited at the draft house for what they were doing with adding second round.
28:40Quenchon Jenkins, third round, Harold fan and junior fourth round.
28:44Dylan Sampson just offense. And we see what happened with the miles Garrett trade.
28:48They're trying to reload and just get so many opportunities because you want teams aren't necessarily better drafters than others.
28:54There are some who are outliers. But really, if you do percentages, the more opportunities you have, the Packers and Patriots do this a ton.
29:02You get mass amount of picks because you're only going to hit on a certain percentage.
29:07But you want to increase that percentage amount by having more picks.
29:11So hopefully Harold fan and junior continues on this path.
29:14And I love what's going on with Denzel Boston, Casey Concepcion.
29:18My one dent in the can for Harold fan and junior is last year he had 107 targets.
29:23So that was fifth. And number one was Trey McBride, 169 targets.
29:27Very nice. And then it goes down about 40 targets to Kyle pits at 118.
29:32Tyler Warren, 112. Travis Kelsey. There he is. He and Tyler Warren, 108.
29:36And then right behind Travis Kelsey, 107 targets for Harold fan.
29:40And we would like to see that continue up on the targets like, hey, 115, 120.
29:45I think that slice of pie to duplicate the 107 targets is actually more likely or less because I think we're going
29:52to get just more natural competition for Harold fan and junior.
29:55It doesn't mean his talent is gone down. But I think the opportunity and the slice of pie for what we were
30:02talking about with Loveland, with Warren to be the top part of their offense.
30:07I think that is going to not necessarily present itself and be as plentiful for the Browns and for Harold fan and junior.
30:14If you look back two years ago, I know we've talked about how much we love David and Joku and Joku had like 150 target pace in 2024.
30:23So it was lining up for 2025. So the surprise was anybody who was on David and Joku had the right call.
30:30You know, me. Correct. But adjacent. It was just adjacent.
30:33I just missed. And I was wrong on in Joku, but had the right sense.
30:38And it ended up being Harold fan and junior.
30:40If you look at him last year, eighth and receptions, eighth and receiving yards, 731, seventh for yak, ninth and unrealized air yards.
30:48So there's more out there. I would like to know your opinion.
30:52Why? Do you think it's should or Sanders? Do you think it's to Sean Watson?
30:56Do you think, how do you think it affects Harold fan and junior?
31:00I think it's to Sean Watson start the season because he's got too much money on his contract for the Browns.
31:07Not to at least see if he can somehow get it back, which I don't think happens.
31:12And then Chador is back in there at some point.
31:16Who knows if we even see a third QB sighting in that room, even without injury.
31:21Because I don't think either of them really have it.
31:24It could affect this Browns offense as a whole.
31:27It will obviously affect it. But to the extent at which it affects the ability of the pass catchers to be there
31:34for fancy for us is what we're really concerned about.
31:37And that depends on how much they can be this fun bad team that we've seen them be in the past.
31:43Where they're still getting enough pass attempts that our players get there for fancy because they're so bad.
31:49They're in garbage time. This is like the Arizona Cardinals corollary, too, from last year where they were just in garbage time immediately.
31:56So they had to pass a bunch. The Browns have been this team in the past.
32:02We saw it for a couple years in a row.
32:05The Browns were one of the teams with the highest plays per game in the entire NFL, even though they were awful and had terrible QB play.
32:13That could happen again this year. It really kind of depends on what Todd Munkin is willing to do with that offense.
32:20And if he's willing to let them drop back a lot, which I think he is, because I think we've seen that before from him.
32:28Those were his offenses back in the day before he got to Baltimore.
32:32And they kind of were with Baltimore at times.
32:35So yes and no, which I hate to give a little bit of a non-answer.
32:40I think it can affect them, but they can still get there for fantasy, including Harold Fan, because of the garbage time, that kind of thing.
32:48I'm going to throw it back to you now, Harold Fanon Jr.
32:52Let's talk about actual value and dynasty. He has that little bit of variability in his cost, and that's because of Sam Laporta and Tucker Kraft.
33:00So how do you have those three ranked? Sam Laporta, Tucker Kraft.
33:04I would put Harold Fanon Jr. 5, Tucker Kraft 6.
33:07That's the correct answer, by the way. And then go 7 with Laporta.
33:11We believe we've seen Sam Laporta be the tight end one overall.
33:15We've seen Drew Petsing. There's narrative street that's out there.
33:18Right now, I would still rank Harold Fanon Jr.
33:21And I would say for liquidity, I think you could start entertaining a 27-1, one-for-one, for Harold Fanon Jr.
33:27And I think there'd be some liquidity there. And I think there's people who can understand directionally it's going a little bit wrong for Fanon Jr.
33:35for his sophomore year. But it doesn't mean it's an indictment on his talent.
33:40So in Dynasty, it's funny enough, if it's going to be Arch Manning, you don't want to give up that pick, clearly, because that'll be way early.
33:48You wouldn't want to do an early pick. But maybe mid-round 27, round one to late is where I would value somebody
33:55like a Harold Fanon Jr., where, especially in the tight end premium, it's valuable.
34:00And it's crazy how things have changed up to that point.
34:03What would you do? Early, clearly, you wouldn't want to do an early.
34:07But mid-27-1, late-27-1, would you send those away to get Harold Fanon?
34:11Would you sell on the opposite end? It's tough, because that is, I think, the exact right price of valuation for Harold Fanon.
34:18Because I've tried to knock on some doors, and I can tell people, some may even hear that valuation and hear, like, really?
34:2627 is supposed to be really good? How was he worth that?
34:29I've tried. 27 seconds don't even get the conversation started for Harold Fanon right now, in my experiences.
34:35So I think your valuation is correct. And it's going to be a little bit team-dependent, obviously.
34:41We have to, you know, do that a little, throw that in there, of course.
34:45But I am probably holding if I have him and buying for that price.
34:50But my only hang-up on buying for the price is, how much more do you have to add to get up higher at tight end?
34:58Which I love Harold Fanon, but, like, I can recognize the difference between him and Loveland and Warren.
35:03Like, how much more would you have to add on to get to Tyler Warren?
35:08You know? So that's my only hang-up on paying that price for him.
35:12Yeah, I guess you grease it with, that's where the 27 second becomes so valuable.
35:17Because I don't think people realize how good the 27 second rookie round is going to be.
35:22Right. You talk about seat for chairs. And that's what I think people aren't catching on to is that that would be,
35:29man, maybe up to 108 or 109 of this year's first round class where I would take a second round.
35:36And Jardarian Price, even, I would even go up to, I'm tempted to go up to Jardarian Price.
35:41And not to be confused with Podcast Pete, who, he likes Jardarian Price, but this is actually Jardarian Price proper, just in
35:48case people were trying to follow at home. Our fourth tight end of the day is Arande Gaston II.
35:54Tight end 10 on Dynasty Day Lab startup ADP.
35:57Tight end 12 on Dynasty League Football startup ADP.
36:00Back down to tight end 12 on Keep Trade Cut.
36:03Which I think is interesting because after the David Njoku signing and the Charlie Kolar signing, it was like everyone was panicking.
36:10Right. And we've seen his best ball ADP drop since then pretty far.
36:14But all of Dynasty League folks tend to still be like, nah, he's still around again.
36:19So we're still excited about him. And so I thought it was really interesting dynamic to see his ADP still kind of holding here in Dynasty.
36:28As a rookie, 8.8 PPR points per game. That was tight end 19.
36:32But we know in the middle of the season, there was actually the stretch where he was kind of crushing it.
36:38And over the course of the season, he had six games of at least 10 PPR points.
36:44But he also had seven games of 6.1 or less.
36:47And it's really this kind of like boom bust player based on what was going on that game, that situation, that defensive matchup for Gadsden.
36:55And I would project we're going to have more of that continuing into 2027.
36:59But he's also an ascending player. So he's a little bit tough to gauge, I would say.
37:05How are you feeling about him? I love him.
37:07He had that month stretch where he was tight end 12, 1, 3, and 10.
37:12And the beauty is, okay, you say four tight end 1 games.
37:16And you're like, well, is tight end 12 really that beneficial?
37:20Is tight end 10 really that beneficial? But he had tight end 1 and tight end 3 on a given week and back-to-back weeks.
37:27Very beneficial. So I'm loving Rondé Gadsden. It really comes down to, and it's funny, when people, they made more of the
37:34David Njoku signing, I feel like I thought, like, what?
37:37That's going to stop you? It didn't stop Harold Fannin Jr.
37:41He was hanging on free agency for so long.
37:44Like, the Brown just let him walk? And like, people cared about this?
37:48Yeah, I'm not letting him pull back the ascendance of somebody like Ronda Gadsden.
37:52So we've already seen it with Harold Fannin Jr.
37:55And I'm somebody, I love David Njoku. And I think you also loved him as well.
38:00But the time has changed. And he's not that player anymore.
38:04Two wide receiver sets. You're talking about big sets.
38:06Okay? Ronda Gadsden is going to be on the field.
38:10And the coolest thing for the Chargers, and this isn't necessarily the tight end position, but everything affects everything in football.
38:16Well, Brendan Thompson, the speed that Mike McDaniel is going to bring in to have Brendan Thompson burning, stretching defenders over the top.
38:23And the threat of Keaton Mitchell on a given play.
38:27If it's two backs in the backfield with Hampton and he, or if it's a Mitchell play, what have you.
38:33A Ronda Gadsden, Lab McConkie, and whether it be Quentin Johnson, Trey Harris, whether it's two or three wide receiver sets, whatever
38:40is happening on the field, that speed that you have with Mitchell and Thompson, where Mike McDaniel can show it from any
38:47different angle, it's going to wreak havoc on NFL defenses.
38:50So that is just another bullish signal for somebody like Rondé Gadsden.
38:54And so I think it's a gift. The price is insulated for a Ronda Gadsden that is just kind of keeping him dulled.
39:01And I would also say, if you want to be bearish on Harold Fannin Jr.
39:06in 2026, just steep down to a Ronda Gadsden and get hopefully the Harold Fannin run out that you had last year.
39:13Knowing that next year, the quarterback room will get better for Cleveland, for Harold Fannin Jr.
39:18We hope it's Arch Manning. You hope it's Arch Manning.
39:21Or just, God, somebody. I hope they get it right.
39:24Somebody. Yeah, just get it right. Exactly. Maybe it's Drew Mestemaker or Darian Mensah.
39:29Who knows? But I see there's a divergence there.
39:32But the beauty is there's a divergence in price between Fannin Jr.
39:35and Gadsden. And I will happily pay that price.
39:38You talk about barbell strategy. I know Scott Barrett mentions that a lot.
39:42So shout out to him. That end of the barbell, ironically, that you can get another year of Gadsden at the other
39:49end of the barbell than the front. Sign me up.
39:52So are you in on Gadsden? Are you more bullish or bearish on him than Fannin?
39:58Do you see that dip as much as I do for Fannin to where it's worth it to go, Gadsden?
40:04How do you feel? I started off pretty bullish.
40:07And I've gotten to a point where he's more of a hold for me at this point.
40:12It has nothing to do with David Joko. We talked about that.
40:16Like, I didn't think that one mattered. I think the one that actually mattered is Charlie Kolar to an extent.
40:22And it's not that he's going to take passing down opportunities from him necessarily.
40:27It's just that he squeezes the snaps for the offense as a whole.
40:31And I think a Rod Zagadson could be this boomer bust tight end like he was as a rookie in his second year.
40:38And that consistency is what I'm worried about because of that.
40:42Best ball dynasty, a little bit of a different story.
40:45But managed dynasty where I have to put him in my lineup every week.
40:49And I'm going to have in the back of my head, is this a week where he goes for five points?
40:56Because this was Ladd McConkie and Quinton Johnston's week or running run centric game plan.
41:01That's what worries me a little bit. So he is a little bit more of a hold for me.
41:07But I want to quickly do some this or that with you, with your excitement for Gadsden.
41:12Would you rather have Gadsden or either of the rookies, Kenyon, Sadiq, and Eli Stowers?
41:17Oh, give me Gadsden, especially from the jump, from the rip.
41:20Yeah. Okay, I have both rookies ahead. So we've got some trade partnership here going on.
41:25I don't think I have to ask any more because if I do, I think I know where you stand on Gadsden at this point.
41:33But I'm going to do it just for the sake of it.
41:37But Gadsden or Dalton Kincaid? Oh, yeah. It's definitely Gadsden.
41:40And what I am trying to do is, man, Player Profiler put out some graphic with every bullish.
41:46It was on the social site with Dalton Kincaid earlier in the season where he was highly ranked on so many efficiency stats.
41:53And I'm just trying to shove that into other people's faces, my league mates' faces, trying to package up Dalton Kincaid as much as I can.
42:01Him and RJ Harvey, can I throw them together to go up to Quinchan Junkins?
42:06I'm like, anybody look for this tight end premium.
42:09Don't you love tight end premium? Yeah, I'm in on Gadsden.
42:12A big part of that, though, Wyatt, is how bullish.
42:16It can't be understated how bullish. And I know it's all the rogue or in vogue.
42:21That's the term. It's trendy. The Chargers. Everybody's amped up, charged up for the Chargers.
42:25But I think it's valid. It's with validity. Sometimes things can just appear as they are.
42:31And I want, as much as the Bills offense can be tremendous, it's a little more Josh Allen and James Cook-centric.
42:37I don't know how much it's going to be DJ more.
42:41I like to call him DJ less. But, yeah, back to what you're saying, Gadsden versus Kincaid.
42:46Give me a Rondé Gadsden. Okay. What about you?
42:49Are you a Kincaid person? I have Kincaid ahead.
42:52Okay. But is it, like, one spot ahead? I don't think I'm necessarily a Kincaid person.
42:57And it is one spot. In fact, I went by my rankings while giving you this or that.
43:03For me, it's Sadiq, Stowers, Kincaid, Gadsden. And I like the path of Stowers being kind of like a Jordan Reed type of player.
43:10And he could really wreck fantasy for that fact.
43:13But we do have to get Dallas Goddard out of the way.
43:17And we do have to see how the post-AJ Brown Eagles offense, that'll be fun to see revealed.
43:22But I'm charging. But that's good. That's good divergence.
43:25And then maybe a 27 second gets us through, gets us a deal.
43:29So, you know, Sadiq for Gadsden in the second.
43:32That might do, that might grease the wheels on a deal.
43:36Yeah. Yeah. Call me up. I would be willing to do that trade anytime.
43:40But we're going to hear about that draft kit one more time.
43:44And we've got one more tight end for you after that.
43:47You know, the original player profile was just my podcasting tool that I made available to the public so that you could
43:54follow along and look up the stats while I'm looking them up and talking about them on the show.
44:00And then you're asking, well, I want to dominate my drafts.
44:04I want to know what you know about Josh Downs and Trey Harris and Jalen Coker.
44:09So that's why we have the world-famous draft kit.
44:12The key team insights, the player breakdowns, and the key stats that you need to know, like vacated targets, vacated touches, all
44:19there available to you with cheat sheets for every format and interactive drafting as you draft the players fly off the board.
44:26And this year, for the first time, I am publishing my personal draft cheat sheet during draft season, as well as Bradley's.
44:33And when you sign up for the all-in package, you get $25 off with CodePodfather.
44:38CodePodfather, $25 off. The world-famous draft kit is now live.
44:41It is ready. It is complete. So go grab it and dominate your drafts.
44:45This episode is brought to you by Google Chrome.
44:48You think you know a browser, but Gemini and Chrome?
44:51That's new. It can help you with practically anything on the web, like restoring a vintage motorcycle from a 50-page restoration block,
44:58or finally break down that long article you've had open for weeks.
45:02Gemini and Chrome is here for it. Ready to make anything online make sense?
45:06There's no place like Chrome. Check responses set up required, compatibility and availability varies 18+.
45:11Are all batteries the same? That's like asking if all soccer players are the same.
45:16Take Messi, the most decorated player ever. Is there any other player who has achieved that?
45:21No, just him. Now take Duracell. Is there any other battery with Power Boost ingredients inside?
45:26No, just Duracell. Remember, goats only trust goats because they're built different.
45:30And Messi only trusts Duracell. Back here on Press Coverage, we've got one more tight end for you, and that's Terrence Ferguson.
45:37On Dynasty Data Lab, startup ADP, he was tight end 26.
45:40Dynasty League Football, startup ADP, tight end 27. And on Keep Trade Cut, tight end 21.
45:45Pretty interesting price there. As a rookie, we know they didn't actually produce all that much, as he was that third tight
45:52end in that tight end rotation they had going on.
45:55And they actually used him as a deep threat, which was really interesting, out of those heavy personnel packages.
46:01He had an ADOT of 18.6. He led all tight ends with 14 deep targets.
46:06Now, he didn't catch all that many of them because those are pretty low percentage plays.
46:11But it's very interesting to see how they were able to use him and use his athleticism to stretch the field out of these heavy personnel packages.
46:20And because we didn't see that coming, it's made everyone believe, and I think for right reasons to believe that he could really develop into something.
46:28Because if he's already shown this kind of part of his game, when we didn't realize that that was actually something he
46:35could do or that would ever happen in the NFL, it makes you think like, okay, what else could he be doing in the NFL?
46:43But then the Rams also draft Max Clare this year, adding another tight end to that room.
46:48We know that Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee are gone after this year.
46:52At least their contracts are up after this year.
46:55We expect them to move on because they've got these two young tight ends.
47:00So there are pockets of the community and across formats that are really excited for Terrence Ferguson and think like he could ascend this year.
47:08It could be set up really well for next year.
47:11Where do you come out of it? It's funny enough, I don't know.
47:15I don't. Essentially. Good stuff. What it is, is you have Max Clare and call back to when Randy Moss hit the league.
47:22Everybody in the NFL, but precisely the NFC Central before it became the North.
47:27Remember, they had Tampa Bay in that division. Everybody and their mother was drafting defensive backs in mass.
47:32And it's funny enough. Hey, until you hit somebody.
47:35And there's going to be guys who don't make it, right?
47:39Ahmaud Carroll. You have for the tight end position for the Rams in a different psychological set.
47:44Hey, we're just going to keep taking shots and stabs at these tight ends because for whatever reason, they haven't had their
47:51Brock Bowers, which I believe they had interest in him.
47:54So that could be their white whale. And they're just shifting and chasing towards.
47:59It's Max Clare in the second round. You have Ferguson with the early draft capital last year.
48:04And you're sitting there saying, hey, we're just going to keep taking swings until something sticks to the wall.
48:10But it's funny enough, I'm sitting there torn and perplexed by do they push Colby Parkinson in a free agent year?
48:17When you look at his finishes last year, week 11, tight end 11.
48:21Okay, Barbell strategy again where, hey, an 11 isn't the best.
48:24But he was tight end five in week 12.
48:27Then go back to week 14, an 11 finish.
48:30Then a five finish in week 15. Week 17, he was a 12 finish.
48:34Week 18, a top four finish. So sneakily, he had some higher performances on the back half of the season.
48:41So I'm sitting there wondering where I go back to when I start off with, I don't know.
48:46It's just the understanding of it could be Ferguson because, hey, all these tight ends who are coming out from Oregon have just done so well.
48:55And then you've got Parkinson. Is he going to continue doing what he did last year?
49:00And then Higby from his prior injury, can he get back on for snap share?
49:05What we do know, Wyatt, is that the Rams run some of the highest amount of 13 personnel.
49:10And I came across the stat, which was crazy.
49:13Matthew Stafford threw 20 touchdown passes, no interceptions from 13 personnel.
49:17Wild stuff. So of all those tight ends, I guess I don't know Ferguson if he's going to be the guy.
49:23But whoever is the tight end in this offense is who we want.
49:27So we shift it back to you. And now that I've said all that, have I confused you more?
49:33Or do you think about it more? Or do you have a conviction on Ferguson and or the Rams tight end room?
49:40No, I think you're right to be confused. I think anybody who is speaking extremely confidently about this tight end room, I
49:47don't want to say is being foolish, but is maybe not practicing enough caution with what could happen here.
49:53Because I think the range of outcomes is almost endless with what could happen here.
49:58To your point, like Colby Parkinson was playing well.
50:01Like, what if they decide to just bring him back on another one-year deal next year?
50:06What if Max Clare turns out to just be really good, like immediately and kind of pushes Terrence Ferguson to the side?
50:13What if Terrence Ferguson builds out this route tree more and they have him start to be the primary type?
50:19Like, everything is on the table. That's what makes it tough.
50:23I think Ferguson had a pretty good prospect profile overall entering the NFL.
50:27I think when you're comparing him to, like, Parkinson and Higby, like, we know who those players are.
50:33And, like, yes, Parkinson had some high finishes, but I think it's more a product than just the offense.
50:39And, like, I can imagine Sean McVay looks at that and, like, boy, if we could get Terrence Ferguson, like, really coached
50:46up to the point where he can be playing ahead of these guys, like, what does that do for our offense?
50:52You know? So, I'm trying to stay ahead of the market overall, but not by a lot.
50:58Like, I'm not as high up as, like, keep Dread Cudd is here at Titan 21, but I'm ahead of those other
51:05market valuations on Ferguson because, like, fantasy is a game about finding those ceiling outcomes, right, to win your league.
51:11So, why not take that bet on a player like Terrence Ferguson who could massively outpay his price?
51:17And if it's a zero, who cares at this price?
51:20So, that's why I stay ahead. I couldn't have said it better myself because it's at that price point you're taking stabs
51:27and you don't have to necessarily have all this conviction in the world or bravado towards it.
51:32It's just a mere matter of you had said, hey, would you love that high output of the Rams 1A tight end
51:39really breaking out, whoever that could be? And the answer is yes in that exercise.
51:44So, at that price point, I think it absolutely becomes appealing.
51:47Love to hear it. Well, Jeremiah, really appreciate you having you on this show, joining me, talking about these tight ends.
51:54It was a great time. But before we got to hear, remind people where to find you and tell them what you've been working on again.
52:02Hey, all that stuff with the draft kit. And I'm on FFD platform as well with Shev and Casey.
52:08So, if I look familiar, that's part why. And then I'm podcast Pete, the Dynasty stock market.
52:14Love doing the show with him. And I've been doing trade gods with the podfather.
52:18And also, funny enough, you and I have a cool connection with best ball on the DD Fancy platform.
52:24Destination Debbie, as some people will remember it. Best ball night school with Ed DeLauder.
52:29So, I know you love best ball. And when I first noticed you on X, it was a lot of those cash games that you would post.
52:38And you would get in there. We'd get in there with Omega King and just chop it up, man.
52:44So, Tyler O. So, really cool how everything circles back.
52:47And it's just funny enough, I love your best ball content.
52:50And sometimes I'll be like, Wyatt will have some take.
52:54And I'll be like, damn it. Am I even that sharp?
52:57Because this guy's on it. Like, he's, I'm not the only, I think I'm the only one thinking it.
53:03And then you'll post something where that was in my head.
53:06So, it's, I could look at it, hey, it's confirmation bias.
53:10Or I'm not as unique as I think I am.
53:13So, it's appreciative. And that's where you guys can all find me.
53:17I appreciate your kind words again. Yeah. It's a lot of fun to see like something, an idea you've been bouncing around in your head.
53:25And then see someone else that you trust post something similar.
53:28And you're like, okay. Like, yeah, it's making sense.
