Player insights

28

Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveRole0:42

Amon-Ra St. Brown is part of a younger, skewed build with multiple rookie receivers, indicating a youth-focused dynasty strategy.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveProjection0:40

Baker Mayfield is ranked back-to-back with Dak Prescott and Jared Goff as a quality quarterback option in the 6th round range.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveRole0:02

Brian Thomas Jr. faces increased competition in Jacksonville with Parker Washington, Jacoby Myers, and others in the offense, making it unlikely he'll reclaim his rookie 35% target share; now projected at 22% target share with less predictability than his breakout year.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveProjection0:25

When debating between multiple weapons on the Bears, the answer is to stock up on the quarterback—Caleb Williams is the key to the offense's success.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveProjection0:18

Chris Olave is almost 26 years old coming off a career year where he led the league in air yards per route run on players with at least 300 routes run; analysts recommend holding him rather than trading away.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveRole0:23

The Bears are going to build their offense around Loveland as a tight end mismatch in the vein of Brock Bowers and Trey McBride who can create explosive plays.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveProjection0:40

Dak Prescott has a slightly higher ceiling than Jared Goff and Baker Mayfield with more gunslinger upside, making him worth drafting before Goff.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveProjection0:27

If Jadarian Price starts hot (RB1-RB5 in first few weeks), it will be difficult to sell him despite the temptation, similar to how Rome Odunze started as WR3 overall through five weeks.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:28

Jadarian Price is valued around RB20 in super flex tight end premium formats, priced similarly to Javante Williams and Concepcion, which feels appropriate for his profile.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:29

If you acquired Jadarian Price early (at 1.5-1.6), you can sell him for value to contending teams willing to pay up for a second or third running back, even if you need to add a second-round pick or decent receiver.

Insight page

Jalin Hyatt

NegativeInjury0:36

Jalin Hyatt is dealing with foot and knee issues, and the analyst doesn't expect him to be ready for Week 1, preferring he not play until Week 8 to avoid re-injury.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:37

Jalin Hyatt sliding down in the second round is great value for dynasty teams, as his injury is a Week 1 problem, not a long-term issue.

Insight page
NegativeInjury0:37

Jalin Hyatt has a toe issue (hammer toe) that could be a long-term concern, potentially nagging throughout his career and causing missed games.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveProjection0:40

Jared Goff is the safest quarterback play, consistently producing 4,500+ yards and 30-35 touchdowns annually, and remains in this range despite his age.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveProjection0:16

Jeremiah Love is highlighted as a top running back prospect in the 2027 class with Saquon-esque ability to change directions, make people miss, and hit home run plays; could be RB16 in points per game or better if the offense is functional.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveValue0:35

Justin Herbert at 2.12 is a first-round caliber pick who doesn't need to be drafted in the first round, representing excellent value in the second round.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveValue0:20

Luther Burden is ranked back-to-back with Rome Odunze in dynasty rankings, with analysts preferring Burden over Odunze due to concerns about Odunze's foot.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:22

Luther Burden has Rasheed Rice/Saquon Barkley upside with a safe floor, combining Jameson Williams's skillset with Ben Johnson's system and Monroe's slot utility for a perfect blend.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:23

Luther Burden is the safer play between him and Rome Odunze, though it's essentially a coin flip with legitimate arguments for either player.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveProjection0:34

Nico Collins is in line for the most solid quarterback play since Aaron Rodgers' start with the Packers, with massive target share and 14 points per game before injury.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveRole0:02

Parker Washington is receiving positive attention and is expected to be involved in the Jaguars offense; Trevor Lawrence has praised his potential to get on the same page with Brian Thomas Jr.

Insight page

Raylen Sharpe

PositiveSleeper0:30

Jaylen Sharpe might be a buy right now given the Seahawks' strong scheme, defense, and coaching, especially if he can stay healthy.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

PositiveInjury0:20

Rome Odunze has been honest about his foot being a new normal, which has caused some concern; however, orthopedic specialists indicate this is normal and not a problem—his honesty may have been misconstrued.

Insight page
PositiveInjury0:20

Concerns about Rome's foot being his new normal are being misconstrued; orthopedists say this is not a problem and not a hindrance to his performance.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:21

Rome profiles as a player who can be a dominant WR1 in the league, ranked one spot ahead of Luther Burden despite market consensus favoring Burden.

Insight page
NegativeRole0:22

Rome and the Bears haven't gotten on the same page on back shoulder throws and red zone opportunities, limiting his ceiling despite his talent.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:24

Rome is expected to be a high-volume receiver (7 for 120+ yards) rather than a low-volume one, and if healthy, will perform at an elite level with the ascending Bears offense.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveValue0:02

Zay Flowers is ranked above Brian Thomas Jr. in consensus rankings (61st in super flex tight end premium) and is considered safer with locked-in target share around 27-28% in a lower passing volume attack with concentrated targets from a QB force-feeding him the ball.

1:03What are we doing? Come over and help your boys out.
1:06Check out the site. Chev, how we doing today?
1:09Oh man, it is another day on this side of the dirt.
1:13A lot going on. Gotta love it. Gotta love it.
1:16Chev is gonna be moving and shaking around in some new digs.
1:19So, he's got a long road ahead of him, but we're excited.
1:23Tonight we're gonna do a mock draft that's gonna start in about 20-30 minutes.
1:27We're gonna have a bunch of questions to answer from the question queue.
1:31We got a $10 homie over in the Patreon who wanted a question answered first.
1:36So, we can kind of kick it off with that if you want, Chev.
1:40I was born ready. Let's see here. Let's pull old boy up here.
1:44I believe the question is, I'm a serious contender this year, but my wide receiver room is a lot of risk right now.
1:51He's got Malik. He's got Rashi Rice. He's got Puka, Rome, and BTJ.
1:55I'm wondering if I should try to move BTJ for Zay or be more stable with two wide receivers, maybe not starting the year.
2:02I don't know if I trust BTJ in the lineup anymore.
2:06So, basically, do you want Zay or BTJ? He's kind of talking about a straight up trade.
2:11What's your thoughts process there? For me, it's pretty easily Zay Flowers.
2:14I don't know. You're going to be in the lineup of the information that we have.
2:19I mean, I have basically talked myself into Parker Washington being 2024 Chris Godwin.
2:24So, I think that that could mean that he's, you know, that he's Mike Evans, that BTJ ends up being the Mike Evans in that offense.
2:32I think the offense as a whole takes a step forward.
2:35I think we'll get a better version of Trevor Lawrence.
2:38I think we'll get a better version of BTJ.
2:41But I think that Zay Flowers is safer and still offers similar week winning upside.
2:45I think this is the best version of Zay we're going to get where I can't say that about Brian Thomas Jr.
2:52because he's been a top six or top four wide receiver.
2:55So, I don't know that we'll get a 35% target share to close out the year that will allow him to do that.
3:02Whereas Zay Flowers is going to be around 27 to 28% in a lower passing volume attack.
3:08But he's going to have concentrated targets with someone who's going to be force feeding him the ball.
3:13So, it's Zay Flowers for me. What about you?
3:16Yeah, I mean, I think it's Zay Flowers. Zay Flowers has been on an upward trajectory in the crowdsource rankings.
3:22I know we all have them ranked above BTJ right now in our actual rankings.
3:26We just did wide receiver rankings. We did them a little different of just using kind of consensus rankings instead of like
3:33this tier, that tier, this tier, that tier. We kind of just took our consensus rankings and went through with kind of our biggest gaps in conversation there.
3:42So, Zay Flowers is coming in here at 61 and super flex tight end premium.
3:46And Brian Thomas is right there, right on the seals at 65.
3:50So, actually, it's a smaller gap than I thought it would be.
3:54Zay Flowers is actually down a little bit right now and Brian Thomas is on the rise.
3:59And we just saw some positive news from Brian Thomas over the last day or two.
4:04So, that's kind of how volatile the market is in the streets, right?
4:08But I agree. I think I just feel safer with Zay Flowers.
4:11I think Zay Flowers is for sure locked in to a decent target share over there.
4:16And Brian Thomas could bounce right back in and be like, hey, all along, this is what it was.
4:22This is what it should be. And this is what it always was.
4:26But I feel that way about Zay already. He's got a hold of that room.
4:30And I think the tight, you know, likely he's gone.
4:34Andrews will see if he bounces back. But if he doesn't, he's for sure locked into that big number one spot with a lot of target share.
4:42And we're hoping Brian Thomas gets back to that.
4:44But we're seeing love for Parker Washington. We're seeing some, you know, some love for Strange.
4:49We're seeing love for, you know, Jacoby Myers being the veteran in the room, right?
4:54We're, you know, potentially, you know, how many mouths can they feed over there?
4:58Does BDJ reclaim his number one spot over there?
5:01You know, obviously that's what we hope it's going to be, but we don't know.
5:06So I think I'm going with Zay there to just kind of say, hey, I feel.
5:10And like how much bigger is the upside for Brian Thomas than Zay?
5:14Well, I mean, we literally, I feel like we might have gotten a ceiling outcome.
5:19We're not. Okay. With the way that the Jaguars had have functioned post BDJ breakout, they go and give Jacoby Myers a $60 million deal.
5:27There's a, there's a podcast, the Jags podcast that I was listening to because one of my buddies is a Jags fan
5:33and Trevor Lawrence is on there talking about how he's, you know, not Parker Washington, but he does talk about Parker Washington at 30 minute mark.
5:41I'll put it in the discord after this is over with, but he talks about how just basically sings the praises of
5:48Parker Washington talks about how he could get on the same page with BTJ.
5:52But the important thing was he talked about Jacoby Myers and how that's the first player that he's ever had crazy, like just instant chemistry with.
6:00He hit it off immediately. And that, that goes in line with what they said about, you know, what basically Liam Cohen
6:07said about the offensive, what he represented to the office.
6:10So it's really, it's really hard to even think that the ceiling for BTJ could get back to where it was, if
6:17they're going to go back to using him the way that he was using LSU and just a big deep downfield threat.
6:23He'll have some massive spike weeks. I mean, kind of like Mike Evans, but with less, you know, with less predictability, because
6:30we know that the slot role is extremely valuable.
6:33We know that Parker, we know that Parker Washington is going to be involved.
6:37We know that Jacoby Myers is going to be involved.
6:40What does that target share look like? And can you get the same outcome on 18, call it 20% for Brian Thomas?
6:47I think in the projections that I'm working on right now, Brian Thomas is about 22% target share.
6:52So can you get that same type of outcome from Brian Thomas with a 22% target share?
6:57I don't think you can. Yeah. I mean, we just, I was just showing the stats up there.
7:03I mean, BTJ in his rookie year was WR five and we're like, oh, you know, that's awesome.
7:08And can it be sustained and can it go even higher?
7:12And last year we saw Zay be, you know, wide receiver seven or whatever.
7:16So I think kind of their ranges of outcomes are, are kind of similar.
7:20We saw 10 touchdowns from Brian Thomas. If Zay ever touched, that'd be the negative of Zay, right?
7:26Is, will he ever touch those kinds of touchdowns?
7:29You know, maybe in the new system, it's a little different for him for red zone targets potentially.
7:34So, but you know, Brian Thomas now has a lot more competition than he did that rookie year.
7:40Right. Things are quite a bit different in Jackson.
7:42Very, very different. And the worst thing that you can do in the situations like this is go back to, go back
7:49to what it looked like, you know, before, you know, before all of these things changed and just be beholden to like,
7:56I know Brian Thomas, we all know he can do that.
7:59He's four, three, he's two 10. He's awesome. But it's about the opportunity.
8:03Yeah, Matt. No, I didn't move. This is the cameras facing a different part of my closet now.
8:08Yeah, but he's, he's going to stay in the closet for now.
8:12Maybe the next place will be out of the closet trapped in here, but I'm just in here.
8:18I'm trapped in the closet. All right, let's grab a couple more trade questions before we hop to the mock draft.
8:24We'll start at nine o'clock here. Let's bring this up here at the stage.
8:28This question in the live question queue here at the website, you can go over there and enter all your information on this one.
8:36We're not going to need to necessarily pull up the, the league here.
8:40This was just, he had an insane trade go down in the league.
8:44What will be the one-on-one and 27, which is presumptuous, but I'm assuming that's just a dumpster fire of a team plus
8:50a 28 second guys team is dust is traded for 427 first.
8:54So I think you want to go for 27 first.
8:57Some thoughts on that. So would you rather have like the one higher end plus a second or a smattering of first throughout?
9:04I'd rather have the smattering of first in this, in this coming class.
9:08Yeah. And we talked about, didn't we talk about today doing a 27 rookie mock?
9:13Yeah, we're going to be dropping a 27 rookie mock next week.
9:16So be on the lookout for that for sure.
9:19So that'll be really, that'll be really interesting because of the fact that like everybody knows that Jeremiah Smith is, is the, is the next.
9:27Next up and coming generational prospect, but there's so many other really good players in this class that, you know, and the quarterbacks are there too.
9:34So if you're playing super flex, then why wouldn't you want the opportunity to get to maybe three quarterbacks, or if it's
9:41tight end premium, get two quarterbacks, a skill guy, you know, running back of your choice, running back class is really good as of right now.
9:49Unfortunately, you know, Ahmaud Hardy is going to drop out of that most likely.
9:53Hopefully he's okay. Cause he was my favorite, but anyway, different story for a different day, but you've got tight end.
10:00So tight end premium, you've got a bunch of receivers.
10:03You've got, I mean, nobody's Jeremiah Smith, but it's like saying if you could break B.
10:08John Robinson down into like a top five quarterback and, you know, another top 12 running back and another wide receiver and
10:14a tight end and tight end premium. If you're down, that's the way to do it because you're still staying in a range.
10:21And we don't know. There's somebody that could be better than Jeremiah Smith right now.
10:26And we just won't know until they're playing football in the men's league.
10:30Right. Thinking about refreshing the carpet in your home.

11:02So what does a bottle Jägermeister say? It says you have standards.
11:06You don't cut corners and you like your Jägermeister shots the way they're meant to be enjoyed.
11:11Ice cold. As for the frozen taquitos and mystery leftovers, we'll keep that between us.
11:15Drink it cold or don't drink it at all.
11:18Jägermeister. Damn, that's cold. Drink responsibly. Jägermeister liqueur, 35% alcohol by volume imported by mass Jägermeister, US white planes, New York.
11:25Yeah, no, I think I'm with you. I think I would go with this matter and instead of just the one and
11:31then the 28 second, I think it just makes more sense.
11:35It gives you so much more versatility, so much more, you know, leverage of being able to have options of doing what
11:41you want with, you know, different parts of your team.
11:44I mean, they don't, they don't all have to be picks either.
11:48You just have so many options. It's good insurance.
11:51Those picks are only going to go up in value.
11:54Like, you know, right now, if you look at the crowdsource rankings of the 20, 21st first there, they're, you know, 20,
12:0127 first, uh, earlier just way, way up there.
12:03I mean, so, um, you know, I like the smattering of picture.
12:07I would rather go with that. So, um, all right, go ahead.
12:1127 first with during mid peak male pattern, rookie horniness couldn't let just net you a really, really good player.
12:17Right. Right. Um, all right. Beast ball. He comes in here and he says, um, sorry, I lost the question here.
12:23Bring it back up. One day we'll have the editor doing all this and I won't be doing this while trying to
12:30pod, but, uh, for, for now, I'm, I'm the guy on it.
12:33So bear with me on a couple of moments here.
12:37I'm thinking of moving on from dart and capitalizing on his value on that.
12:41Which direction should I go? Should I tear up, tear down, open to idea team is very young and still a ways from competing.
12:48So we can go ahead and look at these power rankings right now.
12:52He is human cannonball. Um, or rather, um, these human cannonballs.
12:55No, it's the league. That's the league. That's the league.
12:58What is that? He's penciled in as a rebuilder.
13:01He's got Jackson dart, Fernando Mendoza, JJ McCarthy, Carson Beck.
13:04He's got Jeremiah love. He's got Jonathan Brooks, Chris Rodriguez, Claiborne.
13:08So you're running back rooms, right? Kind of where you want to be as a rebuilder.
13:13You gotta, you gotta top dog there that you could get a lot of value for if you want, or you can
13:19hang on to love and the, through the rebuilding process.
13:22Then your, uh, wide receiver room is lemon, Jamison Williams, Casey Concepcion, Denzel Boston, Ted Hirsch, Trey Harris.
13:28So once again, a lot of youth, bunch of picks from this draft.
13:32Um, he's got floor nor down here who just got some positivity Dell who could be on the bay back.
13:38Trey Harris got some love earlier and he's got stowers in this tight end room.
13:42And that's about it. Tong just sit it. Um, but he's already sitting on two firsts, um, and two seconds.
13:48So that's awesome. Uh, so he's, he's basically in which would you try to tear up from Jackson dart on this team?
13:55Or would you try to tear down, uh, from Jackson dart on this team?
13:59Try to try to personally with, with what up, Hey, there he is.
14:03Oh, maybe not playing, playing peekaboo on the internet.
14:06He's in, he's out. He's back. He fakes. He doesn't think thinks about it.
14:10So tear up or tear down from dart with a rather young rebuilding team.
14:15What's your thoughts here? Shev let me, let me, let me see which team has Tyler shot because that's the, that's the target.
14:22I teared down from Jackson dart to Tyler shuck.
14:24I stay, I stay young ish, even though Tyler, Tyler, Chuck is older than Jackson dart.
14:29But in terms of, in terms of youth, uh, you're, you're talking, Hey, they're talking value differences basically.
14:35So that's the first person that I would try.
14:38And then, you know, guys like cam ward or whatever, cause I want that.
14:42I'm not kind of like your, your, what you put out with FFD five K like, Hey, I'm not trying to get, not trying to compete this year.
14:50I want an early pick and I want, and that keeps you in that early pick range.
14:56Even if Tyler shot hits your. Yeah. So that's a rebuilder too.
14:59Yeah. I like that. So yeah, I maybe, maybe we go and see what's going on over here with, uh, with all Jared Jardine.
15:07Yeah. Yeah. Maybe we see what's going on there.
15:09Maybe you go to one of these, maybe you go to one of these contenders.
15:14That's my first, that's, that's kind of the auto thing.
15:17When I'm talking about when I'm, when I'm looking at Jackson dart, I wouldn't be wanting to tear up because all those
15:24guys are going to be established, proven and a little bit older.
15:27No, it's not going to matter that much, but you just want what I tried.
15:32Justin Herbert. I'd try, I'd try Bo Nix with the injury, but Tyler Shuck would be the one, but I feel like
15:39you can get some sort of, some sort of plus.
15:42And if somebody is really horny for Jackson dark and Katie bar the door.
15:46That's right. Yeah. So I, you know, I, I, I don't like, I don't mind trying to, in this situation.
15:52Like you said, probably more of a, of a tear down and add extra to it.
15:57Yes. Right. Yes. That's, that's the move for this, for this particular roster of what he's trying to accomplish.
16:03Like when you talked about that on the show, the other day I was like, Oh, I actually, I like where I
16:09like, I like the philosophy behind that. So you're not worried about trying to add continuing pieces.
16:15You're just trying to add pieces that aren't going to lose value over the course of the next two years.
16:21And then hopefully when it all comes together, you are in complete control with a bunch of picks and a, and a
16:27roster that's ready to contend going in like 20, 28.
16:30Right. Right. Yeah. No, I like that. Um, big, big, well, big, cause got some sound issues going on there in the background that are really loud.
16:39So every time I bring them in, I'm shooting them back out.
16:42Sorry, big go. Um, all right, move on to another question here.
16:46Yeah. I'm looking at the chest going crazy right now.
16:49I don't see love being an impact like JNT.
16:52So, you know, uh, look in a way of we, we, we, I don't think anybody thought, or at least most people,
16:58especially from our perspective, there was a lot of people who were not viewing JNT as the impact that he had last year.
17:05And I thought it was a really solid year and a really piss poor situation.
17:10So, you know, I could see it being very similar, right?
17:13Or am I? No, I mean, here's, here's what we, we know that we know that there's going to be, there's noise
17:20in terms of what his workload is going to look like.
17:23We didn't have those questions with JNT. I do think that, I do think that love comes in and he offers something
17:30completely different in that, in that almost Saquon-esque style of, of just being able to change directions and make people miss and hit the home run play.
17:38And I mean, Ashton JNT would have been capable of those things too, had he not been in a complete just dog water situation.
17:46So I don't, I don't see any sort of thing that would make me believe that he's not going to be an impact guy.
17:53I think he could 1000% be RB 16 and points per game or whatever the case may be, or even better than
18:00that, if they're just not dog shit, like if they're not as bad as the Raiders were offensively last year, then he
18:06could be, he could absolutely do what Ashton JNT did last year.
18:10Yeah. Yeah. All right. There was another one in here.
18:13Big rice balls. If you guys had Olave and Tyson on the same roster, what would the move be?
18:19Oh, it depends on what your team is. I mean, honestly, just hold both of them.
18:24That that's why would you, why would you want to get out?
18:28Like Olave is almost 25, almost 26 coming off a career year, led the league in the area last year on players with at least 300 routes run.
18:36I was just looking at that before the show.
18:39That's why I know that. But yeah, I don't see why you would move off of either.
18:44Yeah. Are you asking like what to do? Cause that's, that's, cause these are, this is a difficult question that we need a little bit more.
18:52We need a little bit more, a little bit more context, please.
18:56Generally, I'm just going to hang onto that unless you're like wanting to make a move and saying, Hey, I don't really
19:02want to roster both of these guys right now on the same team, but I like both players a lot.
19:08So I'm just going to kind of see how, how this goes.
19:12And I don't, I don't think that they're, you know, what's the, if it goes well and your worst case scenario is
19:19Tyson and or Olave is Devonta Smith with an AJ Brown kind of situation for, for Philadelphia, right?
19:24If we go back to something, you know, kind of a similar setting there, right?
19:29I'm not saying like, as far as, you know, I think the saints are going to run a lot more plays and,
19:36and, you know, run a faster paced offense. So that's in favor of the two wide receivers there, but I think both are really talented.
19:43So I, you know, I don't, I don't really have any problem with that.
19:47I'm not seeing that as a big issue unless you really want to make a change.
19:52Yeah. I don't, yeah. This is, we just need a little bit more context just cause I want to make sure that
19:59if this is, if it's both of us, we're just keeping both because they're going either one kind of depreciates in value
20:06and you have to hold them or one appreciates in value to where you're like, Oh, cool.
20:11I can get more than what I bought in for and I could go get someone else, use it as a piece to maybe tear up another position.
20:19There's just nothing. There's no reason to just move one, just to move one.
20:24Yeah. Rucksack. What up, man? He says, would you, who would you prefer in dynasty a dunes a or burden?
20:30Where do you go with that one? Shiv, you know where I go.
20:34You go on a dunes a, no, you're on Luther burden.
20:37Yes. Yeah. I, you know, I, I think I've got them ranked back to back right now.
20:42I have Rome ahead of Luther. I know, you know, I think right now there's, you know, concern for Rome being honest
20:49about his foot of saying like, it's just, this is kind of the new normal.
20:54And I think, uh, that honesty probably got them in trouble with, you know, some, some people in their thought process when,
21:00you know, you talk to people who are kind of in the business of, of foots or, you know, orthopedists or whatever
21:07they, you know, most of them say this is not, this is normal and not a, not, not a problem.
21:13It's just like, I think it's being a little bit misconstrued of like what his honesty was.
21:18Like, it's not a problem for him anymore. It just is, this is the, the way the foot healed.
21:24This is the new normal for him. And I don't think it's necessarily a hindrance.
21:29Um, so I think generally people have now for sure.
21:32And I think already have put Luther ahead of Rome for the most part.
21:36I just go back to kind of what we were seeing in the beginning of last year.
21:41Um, I think this is a coin flip. I think the, I think the safer bet is just betting on, on Luther burden there.
21:48But I think for me, what Rome is and what Rome profiles as I think he can be a dominant WR one in the, in, in the league.
21:57So I have Rome one spot ahead of Luther burden, but yeah, I understand it.
22:02I just, like I said, you know, a number of times I just, I think you're all right.
22:07You're all right. Now you were just, there's a lot of humming going on.
22:11I mean, my AC is kicking behind me, but I got up and turned it down.
22:16It's the same AC that's on every week when I'm in here, I just is.
22:21And you don't hear it now. No, no, we're good.
22:24We're good. Okay. Good. All right. She'll continue with your Luther burden take there.
22:28Sorry. Yeah. Just, I think he's, he's got Rasheed Rice S yak upside and that creates a pretty safe floor.
22:34And he can operate out of the manufactured touch role.
22:37So if I can combine what Jameson Williams represented for the lions with Ben Johnson and some of the safety and utility
22:44of what Monroe does out of the slot for the bears, I mean, for the lions, like I think that's kind of the perfect blend.
22:52And I, I see that being a little bit safer than Rome and them not quite being able to get on, get
22:58on the same page as far as the back shoulder goes, as far as some of the red zone stuff goes, that's
23:05where like, we haven't seen, we haven't seen two years in, we haven't seen his skillset.
23:10What I think he's best at in the league.
23:13We haven't really seen him do. And he was awesome last year.
23:16So that's, that's where the ceiling for Roma dunes is.
23:19And I think that they'll, they'll start to work in some more of that.
23:24Like you said, the first eight weeks before he got hurt, I mean, he was up there with some of the, some of the big dogs.
23:32So the talent is there. I just don't know that they're going to, I don't know if they're going to build it around him.
23:39Whereas I feel really confident. They're going to build this shit around Loveland and move the burden because tight end mismatch in
23:46the vein of a Brock Bowers and Trey McBride and yak monster who also can create explosives.
23:51Right. Yeah. Big code Luther or Rome. If you're moving forward here.
23:54Uh, I mean, I think if I just had to pick one and, and just the safest play, I'd probably pick Luther.
24:01Um, I, I think Rome's, I think Rome's great.
24:04And I think it's going to be, I, like we talked about last week, I think the pie could be just the
24:11three of those guys getting the, the, the targets every week between him, those two and Loveland.
24:16Um, I think most people would right now for some, I feel like it's probably like 50, 50 and I don't have no problem with that.
24:24If you, if you want to take Rome over Luther, take it.
24:27Um, I think Luther right. The second feels a little safer, but three, two, three weeks in the season, Luther could be
24:34five for 50 and Rome could be seven for 80 and a touchdown every week.
24:39We don't, you know, it been, and it wouldn't surprise anybody if that flipped.
24:43I don't think Rome's going to be a five for 50 kind of guy.
24:47I think he's kind of be like more like a four for 80 kind of guy.
24:52Um, but if he's seven for 120, you know, like I, I think the offense is going to ascend.
24:58I think it's going to be pretty awesome. Um, so if Rome's out there and he's healthy, I think he's going to be doing awesome.
25:05I think he's, you know, it's a, I think your, your bet, your equity and all those players are, is pretty safe.
25:12Uh, and then, you know, you put them all together and like we end up saying a couple of times a year
25:19when we figure it all out, stock up to the quarterback.
25:22If you're arguing about two or three weapons, which one's the best and you got good legitimate arguments, stock up quarterback.
25:29You know, if you got the system, you got play calling, you got this, you got that.
25:34It's Caleb Williams. Caleb Williams is the answer. Yeah.
25:37Yes, sir. That's the one. That's it. We go.

26:06You think, you know, a browser, but Gemini and Chrome that's new.
26:09It can help you with practically anything on the web, like restoring a vintage motorcycle from a 50 page restoration block, or finally break down that long article.
26:18You've had open for weeks. Gemini and Chrome is here for it.
26:22Ready to make anything online. Makes sense. There's no place like Chrome check responses, set up required compatibility and availability.
26:28Various 18 plus. That's the answer. I like it.
26:31I like it. big, a big rice balls. He says Lou Loveland over Roman burden.
26:35I like it. Yeah. I mean, that's pretty much what everybody says.
26:39Um, all right. So we got the mock kicking off here.
26:42We got Jamar chase, Jackson Smith and jig, but Josh Allen going at the one Oh three Gibbs and B John at
26:49the one Oh five, Drake may at the one Oh six Puka at the one Oh seven and Jaden Daniels at the one Oh eight.
26:56But we got the mock rolling. I did want to get to Matt B's question here while this mock sets up is
27:03price a sell high, or is it a good wait and see and maybe sell during the season?
27:09If he starts out hot before charms. So Jadarian price is, is, do we like the price?
27:14Are we, if we acquire, are we trying to then come back and sell?
27:18Are we staying away? What do we, what do we think about the Jadarian price price?
27:23I'm not a price guy. So I don't, I, if you could get more than what, you know, if you can get
27:30in for more than what the one six is worth, I get out for more than what the one six is worth.
27:36Cool. I don't, I won't fault anybody for doing that whatsoever.
27:40However, if he gets off to a hot start, we just talked about Rome who got off to, he was basically the
27:46wide receiver three overall through the first five weeks.
27:49We get off to a high start like that.
27:52You are going to have to, you are going to have to practice some serious, serious discipline to be willing to unload
27:59him at that point because football is being played.
28:01It's the first thing that's in front of your eyes.
28:04And you're going to be looking at that, like all those green boxes and those ones next to RB, you know, RB
28:11five, RB four, RB one through the first few weeks of the season, it's going to be real hard to convince yourself
28:18to give up on or to get rid of a rookie, but you might be able to get somebody.
28:24Like last year, Amika, when it Mecca Buka got off to the hot start, I gave up him in a second for I'm on, I'm in Ross St.
28:32Brown. So that's the type of thing that you might be able to do if you wait till football is getting played in the season.
28:40Yeah. Yeah. Big co, any thoughts there right now?
28:43We have, uh, at the super flex tight end premium side of things, Darian price coming in at 87, right around guys like Concepcion, Javante Williams.
28:50Um, he's RB 20 Baker Mayfield's right above him.
28:53Travis ET ends right below him. so that feels that, that feels fine.
28:57Um, right, right. Fine. And in a startup value to Darian price, fine.
29:01What Shep was saying is if you can get what one six is supposed to be worth, I don't, that's, you know,
29:08you could price if you, if you have price on your team right now and you had a rookie draft a month
29:15ago, two weeks ago and you pay and you got him at one five, one six, I'm sure you could go find
29:21a guy who thinks he can win a championship that might need a second or third running back.
29:27It's going to pay up. Right. Even if you got to give price in a second or price in a second and,
29:33you know, a decent wide receiver and you get his first round pick next year or something like that.
29:39You know what I mean? Like, I'm sure you can unload price to somebody, maybe not a Seattle Seahawks fan.
29:45That's a sharps guy, but let's be, let's be honest.
29:48There's not a lot of sharps guys, right? I'm a sharps guy.
29:52There's not, it's a pretty empty bus over here.
29:55Right. Right. But that, but that, um, that nobody likes sharps until all of a sudden sharps is healthy again.
30:01You're like, Oh my God, he might be healthy.
30:04Yeah. Because he's when he was playing, he was good.
30:07Um, anyway, I, I think that what's like, if he's RB one, RB three, RB five in the first couple of weeks of the season, shebs, Yeah.
30:15That was a great trade. He made to tear up the St.
30:19Brown. And if you could do something like that, but at the same time, if he's crushing like that, maybe the Seahawks
30:25are like, Oh my God, what do we got going on?
30:29You know, I like the idea of Seahawks running backs.
30:32Yeah. I love their scheme. I love their, I love their defense.
30:35I love their coach. I love everything about what they got going on, you know, other than just the Seahawks.
30:41But I mean, it's, they're pretty bad-ass right now.
30:44They got the moment. Obviously they're champs. We talked about it last year coming in.
30:49They had some momentum and nobody expected them to grab the quarterback and go win a championship, but it happened.
30:55And, but yeah, I mean, I, I could, I could let go of price for, you know, about what I don't have
31:02to, I don't have to be like, I got to turn a profit or I got to get the one six next year for it.
31:09If I got a mid or, you know, ish, if I got a first round pick for price next year from anybody,
31:16but like the best team in the league, if you want to do that, that's fine.
31:21Don't, don't give him away for like the one 11, one 12 kind of guy.
31:25Yeah. Yeah. I like it. I like it. You know, sharps, maybe, maybe should be a buy right now.
31:31And, uh, all right. Well, we, we kicked this thing off.
31:35We, I left off at the one Oh eight before we answered that question.
31:39That was Jaden Daniels. And then at the one Oh nine, we had Amin Ross, St.
31:44Brown go. Then we had Brock Bowers, Caleb Williams, and Lamar Jackson kicked me off or rounding out the first round.
31:50Uh, and then Trey McBride on the wraparound for Vardo 92.
31:53And then at the two Oh two, we had Justin Jefferson, then neighbors, Jente Hertz at the two Oh five London at
32:00the two Oh six burrow at the two Oh seven.
32:03So Mano Mitch double taps quarterback. Then the next two guys, they double tapped running back at, uh, with B John and
32:10in the two Oh eight love and with Gibbs at the one Oh four and Hampton at the two Oh nine.
32:16Matt, he goes, uh, one Oh three, Allen and one and two 10 my home.
32:21So we got some bunch of double taps on the back end with same positions.
32:25Uh, J Mo, he went CD lamb at two 11, nice value there.
32:29And then Herbert rounds out the second round at the two 12 spot.
32:33Um, and those guys started with the one and two started without the quarterbacks or the running backs.
32:39They both double taps or both went wide receivers with chase and JSN.
32:43Um, so it'll be interesting to see how J Mo kind of plays the rest of this draft out here.
32:49He, he hasn't hit a quarterback yet. Uh, but tay dollar, he wanted to grab himself a quarterback.
32:54And so he got Herbert, which, uh, I really liked the third round comes in with Ted a row McMillan, kicking it off at the three Oh one.
33:03The three Oh two is Loveland. And this is tight and premium super flex.
33:07Of course, um, Jackson dart at the three, the three Oh three.
33:11We answered a dark question earlier. I actually do want to go back to that at some point.
33:16Cause I was having trouble pulling up the right screens.
33:19Um, a Chan at three, four Warren at three, five pickings at three, six.
33:24So bubble low is off to a hot start with the receivers.
33:27We got cook at three, seven, then Trevor Lawrence at three, eight Olave at three, nine Taylor at three, 10 and Bo Nix at three 11.
33:35Now, again, if you're just joining us and new to the channel here, we do have a podcast that goes out.
33:42So that's why I do try to say a lot of these names to start off with in the round and the,
33:48and the pick number that they got with. So if you're listening on the pod, you can at least get an idea
33:55of kind of what's going on here. Um, all right.
33:58Any, anything really jump out to you guys to start this draft off.
34:02I have a dollar here. He was the guy at the one-on-one spot.
34:06He started off with Jamar chase. He went Herbert and Purdy back to back and those next two picks.
34:12And then has Kenny Walker, uh, as the, as his fourth pick there.
34:16So, you know, fun start for him and Jamo, he, he kicks, he punts the, the, uh, quarterback once again.
34:22So he's got JSN CD lamb, Bo Nix and a Buka.
34:25So we'll see how he plays quarterback kind of at the five, six, seven spot here.
34:30Um, boys, anything that, that really jumps out to say like, or dislike on the start here?
34:35Well, who is this? Well, I don't, I don't have my contacts.
34:39Let me, let me see real quick. All right.
34:42The three wide receivers. Puka. Yeah. Bubble. Like, like what's going on here.
34:46I'm interested to see where the pick, what the pick is here in the fourth round, because of the fact that that's a real strong wide receiver room.
34:54It's aggressive. And you got a lot of, you got a lot of built in banked in value year over year.
35:01So if things go wrong, Puka, Puka, Drake, London and Pickens for the, as they can't see it, that's a, that's a
35:0720, that's a 2017 start right there. Yeah. That's real.
35:10That's real sexy. So I'm interested to see Garrett Wilson sliding down here.
35:14So the fourth round is kind of, it's kind of interesting.
35:18I mean, we, we all think that he's in line for probably the most solid quarterback plays had since that one half of the season with Aaron Rogers.
35:26Well, the start of the season with fields last year, not maybe in the solid play category necessarily, but a lot of target share.
35:34A lot of, yeah, massive target share, 14 points a game where he got hurt.
35:38So my call out is Justin Herbert at two 12 and CD lamb at two 11, Patrick Williams at two 10.
35:45I've been, you know, for weeks I'm like, Oh my God, guys, you got to be able to stomach trading back because
35:51the first four picks in the second round are like first rounders.
35:55You know, if you don't, if you're, if you're a love or Hampton running back in the second round kind of guy,
36:02you just, we just go all the way to two 12 with guys that are worthy of being first round picks.
36:08If you could take, you know, if you could take Jaden Daniels and Lamar Jackson and those guys in the first round, Herbert's the first round pick too.
36:17You just don't have to take them there. Right.
36:19So that's that's that second round is just so good.
36:22Every time we do this, I'm like, golly, the second round picks are just so good.
36:27And then I was expecting neighbors to slide down even, even farther than two, three.
36:32I've been reading a lot on the Twitters from all the different doctors about his foot and his, his knee and his,
36:39his gate and a softball game and all this.
36:41It's like, I don't expect him to be ready for week one.
36:45And I told Casey the other day, I'd love him not to play to week eight.
36:50Like what the only thing that giants need to do is not rushing back and make him pull a hammy or tear
36:57his ACL or this or that, you know, like just don't rush him back.
37:01But like, if I can get neighbors sliding down in the second round would just be so, so great for me.
37:07If I'm in a startup, the cheaper I can get neighbors, the better is it's not like a long-term issue.
37:13It's a problem for week one, but that's not how I build my dynasty teams.
37:18The, he also has a toe issue, you know, kind of, Hey, you got hammer toe.
37:23Yeah. If we could, we could call Deion Sanders right quick and check on some toe problems and how much that hurts.
37:29Well, I mean, he lost them. yeah, I'm just, but he dealt with, but yeah, exactly.
37:34Obviously now that he's four, you know, 50, but like, you know, he played through it.
37:39Yeah. Yeah. I mean, a lot of guys have played through it.
37:43It's just a, you know, almost, I, I almost am more concerned with that long-term than potentially maybe even the ACL.
37:49And it's almost something that I think gets stepped over a lot of the times.
37:54I mean, not like concern, but something that like has the potential to nag throughout career.
37:59Wow. yeah. That's what happened to Patrick Willis. That's why he ended up retiring.
38:03Yeah. If it progresses and continues to get worse, eventually the pain gets so bad that there's like, I can't football.
38:09Yeah. I guess that's where this is headed guys.
38:12Yeah. Something to monitor scenario. Right. What I'm saying is we're very concerned about the knee, but the, the toe is the
38:19thing that I feel like could be something that, and a few years that we're still like dealing with here and there
38:26missing, maybe missing a game or two because of whatever.
38:29So certainly interesting. We just answered the Roman dunes, a Luther burden thing.
38:33And in this particular mock, he goes, Rome goes five, three Luther goes five, six.
38:37Um, so kind of to pick back up there, we left off at the four, one spot.
38:42I buka goes at four, two Harold fanning goes at four, three Nico goes at four, four.
38:48Um, wouldn't mind spending a minute talking about some Nico Collins, uh, Tucker craft at four or five, like that a lot.
38:54Garrett Wilson at four, six chase Brown at four, seven Brice hall at four, eight Carnell Tate at four, nine, four, 10,
39:01Travion Henderson, four, 11, lad, various McConkie, uh, at four, 12.
39:04We got Jordan love at five, one. We've got Bucky Irving and then five, two, Quinn Sean Judkins, five, three, as mentioned,
39:11Roma dunes, a five, four Jordan Tyson, um, five, five.
39:14We got Brian Thomas, five, six, uh, Luther burden, Rashi rice at five, seven Marv at five, eight CMC at five, nine from killer potato fish there.
39:22Uh, and then AJ Brown at five, 10. So anxiously waiting to see what J Mo does.
39:27He goes, no QB there. And now we've got the turn from Tay dollar.
39:32He's going Zay flowers at the five, 12, and we'll see what happens at the six one, but Tay dollar has addressed his quarterback room.
39:39Uh, we'll see if maybe a tight end goes here or if he goes, Oh, he goes, Zay flowers, Devonta Smith, the six one.
39:47And here comes J Mo back with a Dak Prescott right there.
39:50And now it's like, we've got no problems at all.
39:53We're just chilling. We're just going to be one of the older veteran quarterbacks.
39:58I mean, with Jordan love off the board, you're looking at, I mean, you could have gone, you could have gone Tyler Shuck.
40:05Maybe you go cam Ward. Maybe you go personally, Jared golf's my favorite.
40:09It's the safest. We talked about this on a show, but guys, we got to put some respect on.
40:14Jared golf. I mean, every year it's just 4,500 and 30 to 35 touchdowns book.
40:19And he's still in this range. He just went off the board right there.
40:23So Dak Prescott, Jared golf, Baker Mayfield, Baker Mayfield is actually, I think around behind these guys.
40:28I have them like all back to back, back to back, back to back of my rankings.
40:34So, yeah, I got, I got Dak a little higher than those guys.
40:38I just think he's just got a little bit more like, he's kind of like Baker where the upside could be a
40:44little bit more gunslinger S, but golf is, is, you know, been just the quintessential fantastic through outscoring them.
40:50Yeah. I mean, three, I mean, he didn't outscore Dak last year, but, um, you know, three Oh five last year, but
40:57you know, three 36 was, I believe what was his stack just that last year, three, three 51.
41:02So, or sorry, three 23 and then three 51 in 2023.
41:06And then of course missed a bunch of games in 24.
41:09So, um, I, I got just a little bit higher ceiling outcomes on Dak.
41:13So I don't mind drafting Dak before golf, but then guys like golf and Baker are kind of how I'm making up
41:20and play in that like six round, especially if I, if I just want to take one, through those first six rounds,
41:27take one quarterback that is through those first six rounds, which I very much like doing, but if you're going to allow
41:33me to, you know, there's certain spots where it's like, if you're going to give me my homes or if you're going
41:40to give me hurts or burrow at two seven, that's a whole lot of fun or Herbert.
41:45Like I got to take those guys, even if I have one already, probably, um, I don't mind doing that.
41:51Uh, but for the most part, I like kind of doing and, and you know, bubble out here is out here.
41:58Just, he's just naked as a J bird with, his quarterbacks right now.
42:02He's just, he's just sitting out here. He's just Sam Darnold candidate.
42:05Yeah. He's, he's, you know, he's getting some sun on his wiener right now for sure.
42:10You know, and Tyler Shook doesn't make it back to him.
42:14Naked as a J bird. Um, uh, so yeah, some, some, some, I like, I like where a lot of these builds are heading.
42:21Uh, big rice ball here. He, he kind of had taken a similar approach without getting as much attention from us.
42:27Uh, but he went on St. Brown. He went genti and a Chan.
42:31Then he went car two rookies right there. And then he's taking cam Ward.
42:36So he's skewed to quite a bit of a younger build here with, with St.
42:40Brown kind of anchoring things down. And then he goes, Kyle pits kind of right there at the seven four.
42:46Um, so I, I really like what big rice balls done there to start it.
42:51You know, that's kind of a build that, that I like.
42:54Um, I probably would have maybe tapped Baker there below cam Ward.
42:58If I, if I would have started that build, cause you know, 30 still got some time with him.
43:04Um, and then figure out my third later. Uh, but I like, I like where the builds going and we'll see kind
43:10of where he, you know, that's he's, he's like a Daniel Jones candidate potentially, or like a Malik Willis, maybe a little
43:17later, um, kind of see what happens there. So I like that build.
43:21I like where he's at. I like that. He's, he's, he's youth.
43:25Uh, I'm in Ross St. Brown can, can anchor him down at the receiver position.
43:29Uh, and if, if he needs to end up going another way, because he's, you know, not going to be as competitive
43:36this year for whatever reason, um, because Tyson and, and cam need one more year to really establish footing, or, you know,
43:43maybe Jensey's not quite at the highest peak to carry him through some weeks or something like he could always, you know, I'm in Ross St.
43:51Brown will fetch him kind of whatever he wants to do.
43:54Not that he would need to necessarily sell him, but I like the beginning of that build.
43:59Where are you guys at here with, with some other builds?
44:03I like hoodie where he started, where he got Caleb, Justin Jefferson, and Colson Loveland at the three, two turn.
44:09Um, and then lad McConkie Judkins at five, two.
44:11So like, and then he comes back and he gets for Mendoza and then Chuck back to back.
44:17So like the rookie quarterback question mark, and then shores it up with a, you know, potentially rising, uh, I don't want
44:24to say star yet, but you know, Chuck has got a chance.
44:27Um, I was watching some Chuck the other night.
44:30I told you weeks, a couple of weeks ago, like the saints were like pretty much the team that I was the most far behind on.
44:38Cause I just wasn't watching them down the stretch when Chuck was making his moves and, uh, just the killing more system.
44:45I don't want to take anything from Chuck. He made some throws.
44:48He made the throws. He made the runs. Like when you were talking earlier, right?
44:53When I got on here, you're talking about the tear down from Jackson dart to Tyler Shook.
44:58And Shev was talking about that. Like, and not like, not only do you stay in an age bracket, but you also stay in the athleticism bracket.
45:06You pull, you stay in a, a rushing point scored by your quarterback bracket going from jar, Jackson dart to Tyler Shook.
45:13Um, but like the, the watching the, um, the, the video of Chuck and hearing the commentators, like during the plays, you know, just play after play.
45:21It might be like, you know, you hear the, you hear the guys, the color guy come in and say on this
45:28play here, the scheme here, the, the formation with this, or, you know, like basically calling out killing mores X's and O's
45:35to draw up guys, to be wide open. And like, you just got to, whenever you see this happening, you have to
45:41lean into, we talk about pace of play, but like you, you killing more is just one of those guys.
45:47There's not meaning in the league. Just like he's got the mentality for it.
45:52He's, and now Shook's delivering the ball where it needs to go.
45:55Like you just, we, the whole saints offense is a stock up.
45:59The question about whether I, what do I do with Jordan Tyson?
46:03If I got Tyson and, um, a lobby on the same team, maybe enjoy the hell out of it because as everything
46:09gets, if everything goes up another notch for the saints, like just, I mean, that could be two starters right there every week on a high octane offense.
46:18You know? Yeah. This one kind of just goes along with what you're talking about right now.
46:23So I'm swapping a 27 third for an early 27 second enough to move down from one, two to one, three.
46:29I want Tyson or enough. You just got it.
46:32Yeah, sure. If that's what you want to do.
46:35I mean, that's a lot of times you can't even get that much to move, but I mean, that's, that's what you're
46:42obviously, uh, these days, you don't know if they're coming up to get Cornell Tate or, or Mendoza, the quarterback, but if
46:48that's what you want to do, go for it.
46:51Yeah. I mean, I like that. Yeah. I don't, that's cool.
46:54I mean, like you said, getting off of Mendoza right there to, to go from one, two to one, three would be
47:01the, I, you know, I, I know because you like them too.
47:05Um, but, and, and not to say the chef doesn't like them, um, but that getting off the quarterback and not maybe,
47:12you know, I would maybe want to see what my quarterback situation is like there before I go saying for sure.
47:18Um, And generally I don't, I don't mind that if, if you're saying, Hey, I want Tyson anyway, I'm good.
47:24Then that's fine. Well, of course you will. Yeah.
47:27So Tate and Tyson both go before Mendoza in this mock.
47:30And that's, I think in startups, a lot of times, so at least Tate could go in front of Mendoza in a,
47:37in a startup because everybody's got their plans and quarterbacks are all out here to be gotten.
47:42But in the rookie draft, everything's, you know, if you want, if you want Tyson, you should definitely trade back from one, two.
47:49And if the guy snipes you for Tyson, you got paid to get Mendoza or Tate, you'll be okay.
47:55Right. Like that's, that's how I wouldn't stay at two and take Tyson just because that's my guy.
48:00Most of the times I wouldn't, I wouldn't want to do that, but you know, that not, you know, that at least
48:07at this point, probably seven or eight people out of 10 won't Tate over Tyson.
48:12And then most people are really going to entertain that quarterback.
48:15So like, I think it's worth moving your three up to a two in the rookie draft next year to trade back
48:22one spot and gamble on Tyson, not being there.
48:24And if he's not there, then you got paid to go backwards and take, you know, now you got Tate and Mendoza
48:31and you could move back one more pick if it doesn't matter to you.
48:35Yeah. Yeah. All right. Let's pick back up here.
48:38We were going through the sixth round here. Parker Washington going at six, five seems very high on Parker Washington there.
48:45Uh, he's somebody who, you know, it is. Before T Higgins is crazy.
48:49Yeah. I mean, right. You got, you got to be to me for me, like there's, there's a good, at least handful
48:55of guys that I would for sure have to take before him, even if I'm the biggest Parker Washington guy going.
49:02And that's, you know, I like, you know, the T, the waddle, the JMO, the lemon, like I'm, I'm for sure taking all those guys.
49:09Um, I would, I would, you know, probably take any of those quarterback.
49:13Well, not any of those quarterbacks, but you know, Shuck Mendoza award.
49:17Got to take those guys. I mean, maybe that's not lining up for your, for your building, how you want to do
49:24it, but Hey, I mean, we could be looking back at that next year and being like, damn, that wasn't high enough for Parker Washington, but.
49:32Well, I mean, it kind of makes sense. It makes a little bit of sense with his bill.
49:37I can under, I can't excuse it, but I can understand it.
49:41He's going crazy. Jack stack here. Yeah. With Trevor Lawrence.
49:44And you know, but you don't have to do that in the sixth round.
49:48Cause nobody else is going to do that. Right.
49:51That's really the, that's really the, you know, kind of where that comes in.
49:55Like you, you probably could have at least waited until seven, eight to take Parker Washington.
50:00If you wanted them that bad, but you know, you never know if you go in and you get your guy and
50:07that's what makes dynasty a whole lot of fun there.
50:10So Dak Prescott was at six to Barkley was at six, three golf at six, four Parker, Washington, six, five T at
50:16six, six, Jamison Williams, or sorry, Javante Williams at six, seven Waddle at six, eight Cam Ward at six, nine Jamison Williams
50:23at six, 10 Fernando Mendoza at six, 11 and lemon to round out the sixth round.
50:28ET and shut kick off the seventh. Then scatterbow pits, Laporta, then Mayfield, then price tootin Murray, Darnold Jacobs, and Stroud.
50:34Um, so big rice ball comes back with Ward.
50:37Then he comes back with pits. Then he comes back with Bryce young as another quarterback and Ty Simpson as another quarterback.
50:44You know, I, I don't feel super secure in my quarterback position at this moment.
50:48If I'm him, um, no, well, he must, he worked himself to a spot to say, I got to take time, tie Simpson at nine four.
50:56Like you don't have to do that. And like, that's way too early in a startup draft.
51:01Like Ty Simpson's not, I don't know what his ADP is off the top of my head, but it sure can't be nine four.
51:09And if it is, that's fine. It can't be like, I'm obviously take, obviously I'm taking with Malik Willis over that, but like, I, I don't know, man.
51:17I, I, I don't, I can't do Ty Simpson at nine four right now.
51:22Uh, no, if things work out the way the Rams want him to work out, he's not playing for two years.
51:28Ty Simpson, nine six, nine six, right? We're dead on the button, but that's, but that's Malik Willis up at eight, three right there.
51:35Daniel Jones, eight, eight, you know, um, I don't have a problem.
51:39If you want to say, I'm not, if you don't want to be a Daniel Jones guy, that's fine.
51:45I don't have a problem with that. He just ripped his ankle off.
51:49He's got to come back and prove it. But I, I don't know.
51:53I've, I feel like I'd have to do something else other than Ty Simpson at nine, four, four, but yeah, I mean, he's the average at nine six.
52:01I'm with you. That's probably not the button I'm pressing, um, in those, in those areas, uh, for, for me personally, that's probably a little bit too high.
52:10Um, but I mean, again, if you're going back to kind of a build where you're not really worried about this year
52:17per se, if it goes your way, great. If not, then whatever, uh, you know, whatever that, that could be a really
52:23nice value, uh, as far as, you know, long-term for, uh, like you said, his whole team, I mean, he's super, he's got a young team.
52:31His St. Brown is his, was his first pick and he's St.
52:35Brown's no, you know, rookie anymore, but everybody else is very, very young.
52:39Kyle Pitt seems like he's been in the league forever, but he's only like 25.
52:43Um, you know, so he's got, he's got a, he's got some time on his side with that build.
52:49He doesn't have to be in a rush at all.
52:52Yeah. Justin Kane says, Washington is going to be better than Tyler Shuck.
52:56Right. Well, you know, which Washington Parker, Washington. So, uh, we're not, we're comparing wide receivers to quarterbacks now.
53:02Um, I mean, like you said, he's, this guy has been killing the saints and doesn't like the saints and clearly has a problem with the saints.
53:10So, you know, I have no problem. If you want to be, if you want to like, I'm, if you want to
53:17be a big Parker, Washington guy, that's fine. And if you want to say, Hey, I'm out on T Higgins.
53:23Cause he always gets hurt. That's fine too. Like you just, you don't necessarily have to be, if you Parker, Washington is, he's the, it guy right now.
53:32He's a hot guy. And I understand right now he's going to be, there is no ADP for Parker Washington.
53:38It's like every, every, every draft is so different.
53:40Parker Washington could go into six in this draft and in the ninth in this draft, right.
53:46In the next draft. So like there is no five, six, eight, you know, spot slot for him to jump into it.
53:52Everybody's going to be different. The passion level of Parker Washington is all over the place.
53:57And I'll, I mean, I'm starting to, I like him.
54:00I like the idea a lot, but I, I think, you know, we've, if you've been doing this long enough, you've seen injury.
54:07Give you volume down to stretch and it not be there to next year in all different positions.
54:13Time out. Right. Time out. Go ahead. Time out.
54:15We're talking about Parker Washington, right? Yeah. Okay. So like, what, are we just talking about the injury to Travis Hunter?
54:22Yeah. Injury to Travis Hunter, whatever was going on with the Brian, what's his Brian Thomas jr.
54:27He was hurt. His hands didn't work. His head didn't work.
54:30I think he was upset because Travis Hunter got drafted.
54:33You know, right now it seems like out of Jacksonville camp that Brian Thomas jr is the best thing ever again.
54:40I've just, whatever was going on in Jacksonville last year, they had to trade for another wide receiver and had to bring
54:47in a veteran, you know, from the, from the Raiders, you know, bringing a professional wide receiver, Casey's boy.
54:52It's like, I'm not saying to Parker Washington and going to pick up where he left off.
54:58And I'm not saying he wasn't awesome down the stretch.
55:01I'm saying that we've seen injury give you volume before.
55:04And that volume, not pick up week one where you left off.
55:07The coaches are saying it should be there. The coaches are saying he got better.
55:12And he's, I think generally that's the problem with Jacksonville right now is like all these guys can't be as good as
55:19people, people coaches are thinking they are. So how is it, how is it going to work?
55:24And chef, you got some, you got the crazy eyes right now.
55:27So what do you, what do you, what do you want to get off your chest?
55:32I mean, like, I don't know what, so how much more volume do you want to see for Parker?
55:38Washington, he's nine to 17. Why receive 16 points per game?
55:41No, no, no. I don't need to see any more.
55:44I don't need to see any more. I'll let you cook.
55:48You gotta let me cook now. Well, you asked me how much more I wanted to say.
55:53I don't want to see more. I need to, I, if we can get the same.
55:58Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, like we're talking, we're talking about role usage, historical usage with Cohen in the offense, like the slot role.
56:05He's a 60% slot alignment during that. It goes up to like 17 points a game.
56:10If you just push the sliders out to like week 11 through 18.
56:14So not only did the offense function at a really high level, but they were winning football games and games they had to win.
56:21And they were going to Parker, Washington to do that.
56:24And you think they're going to go into 2020, 2026 and be like, well, I know that that worked.
56:30And I know that we were really good when that happened, but we're going to try a bunch of other stuff.
56:37I just can't get down with that idea. I'm not saying to Parker, Washington, like right now I've done this, like I'm working on projections for him.
56:45And I've got BTJ and Parker, Washington at this, a similar target share about 22%.
56:49Both of them bringing it, like being at about 22% with a Jacobi Myers being around like 17 and Britain strange being at 15.
56:57I'll pull it up here in a second. I'll tell you exactly where they are.
57:01As far as that goes, but I just can't see NFL teams looking at the success that they had already talking about
57:08giving Parker, Washington and extension, like going into year three.
57:11And I think that my Brian Thomas goes back to kind of what he was doing at LSU being outside X guy, like the Mike Evans role.
57:19So it's going to be high, a high variance with a lack of a target, like with a lack of a safety of a target floor.
57:27So that's why I can't like the difference between what Brian Thomas jr.
57:31did his rookie year and what Parker Washington did over the back half of the stretch is the organization was winning football games.
57:38They won the division. They got in the playoffs.
57:41They were just playing out the stream with a lame duck coach, Brian Thompson.
57:45He had 35% target share. That's how he finished wide receiver five.
57:49Nobody thinks he's going to get a 35% target share this year.
57:53So that's why I struggle with the fact that like when people say, ah, man, well, it was just, it was the
57:59end of the year and that, and it's like, well, the context is it was the end of the year for the
58:06last two months of the season where they had to win every single game.
58:10And Parker Washington was that guy. But what happens if they come in week one through five and Brian Thomas is that guy for him?
58:18I mean, that's that all. You know, Brian Thomas had two touchdowns last year.
58:22So is it going? So is it going to be the high concentration?
58:26The target is like, I'm just saying, I'm looking at what has done with his offices historically.
58:31And it's like, there's a guy that usually has a pretty safe role.
58:35Yeah. And is it, is it the Brian Thomas guy or is it the Mike that like, you know, or is it
58:42more of the Parker Washington, Chris Godwin, the slot role?
58:45Is it Mike Evans or is it Chris Godwin?
58:48You know, who I don't, I don't really, I, I don't think we can answer that question right now.
58:54My, my, my general overview is like, I think that there'll, they'll, they'll probably be spike weeks for all of those guys,
59:00you know, but there's three or four guys on that offense who are all really good.
59:05And, you know, Parker Washington and the sixth round, I probably can't take them, but if he's in the ninth round, I
59:12got no problem taking them, which is kind of where the conversation started.
59:16And Brian Thomas at five, five, probably too high to just because again, like if there's, you got a professional wide receiver
59:22in Jacoby who had, some good weeks, you had Brian Thomas who, you know, had a few good weeks, but for the
59:29most part was definitely something was definitely off last year.
59:32And then, you know, Parker Washington came out and had some big games in big moments and look the part.
59:38And by the way, like I know none of us really love Travis Hunter as far as like getting a rollback, but
59:45like, he's probably going to come in there and have some targets in some games.
59:50Right. So it just, to me, there just seems like a lot of diversity to handle, uh, throughout the, the target share
59:56and the ecosystem there that makes it hard for me to super flag plan on either one of any of those guys.
60:03Um, and so, you know, go ahead, go ahead and go.
60:06I let chef cook and he, he just cooked us a meal, right?
60:10That was, I, I was literally, I've enjoy what Parker Washington showed us.
60:14And I can agree a hundred percent that the coaches should be like, this guy right here was doing work.
60:20I'm just saying that I've been doing this for a long time and I've seen volume not carry over to the next
60:27year due to whatever went on and said team, all the different examples that we could go dig up right now, but you're not wrong.
60:35They were winning and he was looking awesome. And I've seen some people make the case that what, where Parker Washington wins is exactly what Trevor Lawrence needs.
60:43So you're not wrong. What we were discussing was pushing him up to six, five and how, whether or not that was
60:50going to work the gamble, if that was going to work out.
60:54And I think it very well could. Okay. The first thing that Casey said was this, this time next year, we can
61:00be like, that wasn't early enough for Parker Washington.
61:03Parker Washington could come out there and be an eight for 80 guy every week.
61:08And he should be considering what we saw. But they do have other good wide receivers on the team and they got a tight end that they like.
61:16And, but so like for everything you could go around and pick up the offenses that you think are getting better.
61:23Obviously, Liam Cohen, we said this last week or two weeks ago, like basically same thing that the bears and Ben Johnson
61:29needed to do with his quarterback, right? Get, get, get the monkey off his back and get the, get the media out of his quarterback's face.
61:37Right. It hadn't been that long for when we're talking about Trevor Lawrence, it's been a couple of years now.
61:43And everybody's like Trevor Lawrence sucks. He's not this.
61:46He's not that. Well, Liam Cohen comes to town, throw away a couple of trash years for Trevor Lawrence.
61:52And they, he looks like a completely different quarterback in year one of Liam Cohen.
61:56So where can they go next year? Where, where can this thing get better?
62:01How that can that pie get bigger and better?
62:03I think it could. I think it should. And I think if you just say, Hey, Liam Cohen, I've, we, I went
62:10off on the Kellen Moore stuff, you know, like we, if Liam Cohen's one of these guys that can really dial it
62:17up, what he did with Trevor Lawrence last year.
62:20We don't know if that was magical or not, because everything that we, we, it looked, it was magical compared to what
62:26we had seen from Trevor Lawrence previously. Right. So like, if, if that was the only person that was going to get
62:33that done outside of a Kellen Moore or Ben Johnson, you know, the Jags have what they, they have the recipe for success on offense.
62:41And can they build on that? And is, and I think Parker Washington should be in the middle of all that.
62:47I completely agree with you, Shiv. I'm just saying, it's not a four goal conclusion.
62:52The man's going to get 10 targets every week.
62:54No, I mean, I don't, I mean, there's only like three.
62:58And, and, you know, to, to what the, you know, this, this guy over here just was basically like, and BTJ needs
63:04to succeed if he doesn't get goal. But like if Brian Thomas returns to somewhat, of form and starts taking away longer
63:11drives, because he's back to doing some things that Brian Thomas does that overall has to hurt Parker Washington.
63:17Right. And not to say that Parker Washington can't do those things too.
63:21I'm just saying that's like, you know, that that's kind of what Brian Thomas is MO has been throughout us when he was good.
63:28Right. So, you know, I just, it's, it's, is there enough pie?
63:32I think they'll all, I think, I think as long as Trevor can return, I think all of them are, are fairly safe assets.
63:39I just don't know, you know, where the ceiling is.
63:42and as long as they all can, or at least Parker and BTJ can get you around 10 points a game, then
63:49they don't have like, they're not like the high, Hey, it's five or six and then it's 12 and then it's five
63:56or six and then it's 12 and then it's 20.
63:59And then it's five or six, like where it's like, you have to worry about that.
64:04They're in your lineup each week. If we can kind of remove that and be kind of more safe, Hey, we're floating
64:10usually around 10 to 12 and they spike with touchdowns or the big games, then, you know, they're all, they're both fairly safe assets.
64:18Right. I mean, at that point, maybe Brian Thomas would be a little overpriced.
64:22And in this case, then Parker Washington would probably also be a little overpriced right here.
64:27Um, I didn't, I was just saying, like, we're talking about real football reasoning behind, like the why behind stuff happens.
64:33Like I can't get down with the fact of like, Oh, well, it just might change.
64:38And yes, I understand you've been doing it for a long time.
64:42Like, yes, I get that. I'm not saying that.
64:44I'm just saying like, yeah, like when you're talking about an organization, like what it, like the context of what happened, they don't just turn away from that.
64:53Like, I think sometimes they do though. Sometimes they do.
64:56And it's, I'm not like, and I'm not saying that's the right thing to do, but you're like, what are we doing here?
65:03Like this works so well. And now you're like, what the hell is going on here?
65:08And you know, I, that's, that's kind of sort of out of our, our, out of the control.
65:13Um, I think from every, every signal that we're getting from Parker Washington, it's all very positive.
65:19And that we, they're the good news is, is that we're not, he's not going to fade back into the background.
65:25Right? Like he's, he's still got, he's going to be a part of what they're doing heavily or, or at least medium.
65:32And then, you know, he, intermediate stuff is all strange, uh, and Meyer.
65:36So that, you know, if Myers has, you know, six good games throughout the season and strange has six good games throughout
65:42the season, like good, like really good games. Like it's just going to really limit the upside of, of everybody on the office.
65:49Well, either way, this back and forth was good because right now, Parker Washington is everything in dynasty chat circles.
65:56You know what I mean? For sure. So like just volleying back and forth about the different ideas and perspectives on it.
66:02It's good to kind of flush it out and see how everybody feels about it because, you know, Parker Washington is being
66:09compared to, well, I was trying to trade for him in a league and I got the player, a player B stats.
66:16And the player, a was Parker Washington. Player B was, um, uh, the guy from the Rome, the dunes, a versus what's
66:22his name on the bears, um, looting the blue, the bird.
66:26And he was like, would you rather have player a or player B and player a was, you know, Parker Washington and
66:32his stats were better than Luther burden. And it's like, that's what his logic was to defend his asking price for Parker Washington.
66:39Yeah. It's a, it's a rough go to try to get ahold of Parker Washington right now.
66:45It sucks. Really? You're right. Yeah. I mean, would you, would we, would we be letting go of Parker Washington for a Denzel Boston right now?
66:53I absolutely would. Like you would trade Denzel ball.
66:55You would trade Parker Washington for Denzel Boston. No, I would trade.
66:59Yeah. I would trade Denzel Boston. I would acquire Parker Washington for Denzel Boston.
67:03See, I'd go the other way there. Um, I'm just trying to point it, like, look for rookies as far as equating it to rookie picks.
67:11Uh, or that, I mean, that's, that's good. I mean, that's, that's enough right there to say to our ships got a, you know, a first round pick.
67:20He would give up a first round pick for Parker.
67:23I don't know. For a second. I have. Yeah.
67:25I agree. I agree. I have too. That's what I was kind of aiming at with the, with the price points of
67:32everything kind of going on there of, of kind of, you know, alluding to what you were saying, Chev.
67:38Yeah. It sucks. It's really. Well, there's a shout out to the OG Austin Abbott.
67:43What's up, man? How you doing? Hey, Colts are 17 and O next year.
67:47Um, all right, let's check out the back half of this draft here before we get back to some questions over on the website.
67:54Um, let's see here. Uh, let's see how, let's see how bubble low.
67:58Cause I feel like we, we get, we, we talked a lot about his start here.
68:03He was the guy who started with Puka, uh, Drake, London, Pickens, chase Brown, Luther burden, and then Javante Williams.
68:09And then he comes in and gets Baker and Stafford.
68:12Right. Yeah. That's a, you know, kind of, kind of saved that.
68:16Now, you know, he comes with Shador at 15, six.
68:19And again, this is a mock and we're only going 16 rounds and you may have to figure out as a quarterback situation.
68:26If somebody gets hurt, um, his tight, he gets David Montgomery there at nine, six, which I like that.
68:32And then goes strange Barner and Gunnar Helm. So a, a fine room there with the rest of, you know, if you're
68:38going to build a room like that, as far as your wide receivers and, you know, I think they're running that room is, is, is okay too.
68:47And, you know, you're going to have a weak spot somewhere.
68:50And he managed to come in here and get some nice stabs and okay targets there for the tight end position.
68:56And then he finishes with, uh, Kamara and Romeo dubs and gets, you know, J K Dobbins in there.
69:02So I think bubble did a good job there of, of, of putting that team together.
69:07Yeah. I think if you look at the Javante Williams pick, you know, if you could swap that out and give me
69:14Tyler Shuck, you know, uh, in that pick in the sixth round and you could find, you know, he, he, if you
69:20swap out, if you put a quarterback and, and a Javante Williams spot, then, you know, later on when he was picking, you know, he let R.J.
69:29Harvey, he could have got R.J. Harvey in the ninth round.
69:32It could have got, uh, Basil Tootin or Jadarian price in the, in the eighth, seventh round, instead of picking Baker Mayfield, et cetera.
69:39You know, Josh Jacobs was seven 11 Javante Williams, six, seven.
69:43You, you know, I just, if I'm poker, London pickings, chase Brown, and Luther burden, like that's the five studs right there.
69:49If you want to call them something, that's five really good ballplayers right there to start your dynasty team.
69:55I'm going to go one round earlier. I think, you know, and like Baker Mayfield is a nice backstop.
70:01Even if he would have taken style, Tyler Shuck and then Baker Mayfield, just to say like you, Casey was trying to
70:08say, that would be the only change that I, like I'm, I definitely want to take Baker in the seventh over a
70:14bunch of those guys that you named just to backstop my quarterback position.
70:18Right. And I would go around earlier and throw Shuck in there.
70:22But also then, but also then, you know, you're, you're poking around for your RB two, or I think you solved it
70:29with Javante Williams right off the rip. And then, and then, you know, you, you, you back that up with David Montgomery
70:35and, and, you know, Dobbins is certainly going to be a viable option, but yeah, every, every, every draft is going to
70:42get a guy that says, Hey man, I really don't mind winning this year.
70:46You know what I mean? And this, you know, with the Baker Mayfield, Matt Stafford, David Montgomery, Strange and Barnard.
70:53And then Dobbins, like he, he never shied away.
70:55Got some youth gunner helm. There's, there's some younger guys in there.
70:59Puka and Drake London are not old. Luther Burden's young, you know, like, but like, he's a certainly candidate to be into money.
71:06Like he's definitely making the playoffs that he could be into money.
71:10Um, I will have to say, I don't know if I can get pickings at three, six.
71:15I don't know if I can, I don't know if I can click that button.
71:19I'd probably rather click a Jonathan Taylor or hit a quarterback, maybe even a Mecca Buga just for the, a dynasty asset
71:26moving forward, safety level of what I got to spend there.
71:29Third round pick. I don't think I can take pickings in the third.
71:33I can't do it. Very, very, very good point.
71:36Big co. Uh, yeah. The third, like just the range of outcomes for what pickings could be.
71:41I mean, he last year, he was in like the eighth around this time.
71:46And then we shot him up to like the six.
71:49Now he's in the third. It could just go.
71:51Oh, I can handle the six chef. I can handle the six, but at three, I would love the six right now
71:58based on my course, obviously, but, but basically go ahead, go ahead.
72:02Your, your point about just getting a more stable asset, getting, getting a quarterback, getting a Trevor Lawrence, getting a help Brock party and Bo Nix.
72:10I think Brock party, Brock party is going to be one of my favorite bets to lead the league in touchdown passes.
72:16Mike Evans issue all with the whole gang coming back.
72:19I'm going to place a, I'm going to get some real good odds on Brock party, leading the league in touchdown passes.
72:26Cause that's one of the things that he does.
72:29So him going there, like I could, I could do that.
72:32I actually had, I moved party ahead of pickings in my, in my ranking.
72:37So yeah, I I'm, I'm 100% with you there.
72:39It's just super duper risky in the ceiling. I do believe that he does have a top three range about like he
72:46could get to where I'm in Ross St. Brown is.
72:49Performance wise. I don't think he'll ever get into the first round value wise until he's getting paid $40 million a year.
72:56And he's got the quarterback and he's got the offensive environment.
72:59If those things happen, but that's just a pure runner, runner run out to make him a top five dynasty wide receiver.
73:06And I don't think we're going to get. Yeah.
73:09Killer potato fish said he's won in the championship this year.
73:12Killer KPK KPF here. He's got a Gibbs Hampton.
73:15Then he went to Lave Nico, then McCaffrey at the five, nine spot.
73:19Then he took golf and Kyler, uh, Casey Concepcion, Swift, McLaurin, Evans.
73:22So some old OGs, uh, then Ramond Ray. And then he hammered the tight end spots on the way out.
73:28And then he took to Sean in the 16th round.
73:31So obviously some volatility potential at the QB two, um, situation there.
73:35But I mean, as far as, you know, points in your lineup, there's, there's an awful lot of points in your lineup that are, that are possible.
73:43If everything stays, uh, on course there for you, um, you know, maybe, maybe in two years, you might be looking around
73:50and having to, you know, when you build a team like that, you know, you're, you're probably going to look around and
73:57say, Hey, I probably, I'm going to need to sell Gibbs in, in a year or two to, to kind of restock
74:03pile this, you know, cabinet here because I took a Nico who in two years will be, you know, 30 years old or so.
74:11McCaffrey will be 32. Um, you know, Kyler Murray, who knows Evans and McLaurin will be, you know, potentially out of the league at that point.
74:19Stevenson will probably have lost his job at that point.
74:22You know, you got Henry and Goddard who are, you know, older tight ends in their thirties right now.
74:28So, um, but, and Swift will be, you know, roughly around 30 years old too.
74:32Uh, but Hey, for the, the goal of the game is to win.
74:36So you came out here and if you can win a chip in the first two years and then come back and
74:43rebuild it within two more years, you're, you're going to probably be in the positive for, um, you know, just keep all
74:49your, keep all your capital, keep all of your, keep your, keep your draft capital just because just in case it goes, sideways.
74:56Cause that's what happens with old players. I mean, I mean, it happens with all players.
75:01It's an attrition based game, but with this type of, with this type of roster construction, you are high risk.
75:07And the reward is all those old guys could be wide receiver running back ones, when you a championship and then who
75:14cares what happens from there, but don't sell your picks.
75:17Yeah. Uh, rookies to riches. He said he went productive struggle here and he likes his team.
75:22He went Bowers neighbors, dart Henderson, a dunes, a Williams, Scadabo, Pearsall, Stowers, Higgins, Coleman, Phoenix, Skylar bell, McCarthy, um, Rashad Smith,
75:29and then Joe Lee to end it. So, um, you know, like you said, you're probably not going to have a, you
75:36have some potential continuity issues here, uh, year one, and then you got to maybe figure out some, some quarterback situation here down the road.
75:43But, um, you know, you've got good pieces and that would be a, you can, if things start going right, you could
75:50trade into trying to compete this year, but for the most part, you're aiming for, you know, to have a good pick
75:57next year and have a nice core. So, uh, yeah, I don't, you know, I don't mind, I don't mind kind of what you did there.
76:05If that's your mindset, which is typically kind of my mindset going into startups is like, Hey, I'm, I'm okay.
76:11We sitting out the year, the first year or two to build depth and acquire some picks throughout.
76:16And then, Hey, after that, now I've got a pretty strong core of youth.
76:21I've got picks. I don't sell any picks for the first year or two.
76:25And then after that, then I start going and selling picks, maybe acquiring some older guys to just round out things, um,
76:32and kind of see where I'm at. So rookies to rich.
76:35That's a, you know, that's a, it's a fun, fun start.
76:38Any other teams you guys want to touch on here before we go back to answering some questions?
76:44I can tell it. We talked about big rice baller.
76:47I really liked the value on, I'm warming up to the idea of Quentin Johnson issue.
76:52Hmm. I really liked the value here. I really liked the value here.
76:56I man, like that just, if everybody in the off, well, I mean, we heard what McDaniel said, Hey, everybody in the
77:02wide receiver was poised for career highs. I mean, we saw, we thought we all thought that Quentin Johnson was dead meat
77:09when try hair showed up and he proved that wrong.
77:12And he, you know, he's performed really well. And prior to the hamstring injury, I mean, he was really solid.
77:18I mean, he's over 22% targets per route run.
77:21And I think a part of, go ahead. He was killing it.
77:25He was killing it. Yeah, he really was. He was killing it.
77:28And I, and I think that we could kind of pick up where we left off.
77:33I know when Joe, like it also kind of coincides with the Joel injury and they've really done the work to fortify their offensive line.
77:41So I think he's the big beneficiary. We've always had the, the big yak red, I think in Miami's tenure in McDaniel's
77:48tenure with Miami, they were top three or top five and yak three of the four years that he was the head
77:54coach with the one year with two outliers, basically being 2022 and 2025.
77:58When Tyreek got hurt. So I think that's the skillset that really behooves and sits, you know, fits best for Quentin Johnson is the catch and run stuff.
78:07And I think that this is going to be his best opportunity to do so.
78:11Yeah. Yeah. I mean, worst case scenario, Quentin Johnson's out of there and on another team next year.
78:17And, you know, probably could be, if he could be consistently a team's wide receiver too, you know, that could be my full hat theory.
78:24Sure. Okay. Pickens either plays his way out in Dallas or talks or, or doesn't play his way out.
78:30Like doesn't get back to Dallas. Chargers do have the fifth year option, but what if they do some kind of weird
78:37voodoo magic where they give up like a third round pick and sign Quentin Johnson to a much cheaper contract and what
78:44they're going to have to sign Pickens. Yeah. I feel like there'll be a lot of interest in, in QJ kind of
78:50moving into next year, especially if he can, you know, kind of show you that, that wasn't, you know, an outlier of
78:57kind of what we saw of, of how he could be used last year.
79:01So it's crazy. Like, so we all thought he was trash after his rookie.
79:06It was just bad. Right. I won't say trash.
79:08I won't disrespect him to say trash. Don't, don't, don't we all us.
79:12I've, I've, I stick by my, my guys. It was bad.
79:16The last two years have been almost identical. And on a per game basis, he was, he had more yards than Ladd McConkie last year.
79:23Yeah. I mean, obviously that's going to have to do with how you, how he was being used in the offense for sure.
79:30But, you know, he's definitely can at the very least have that sort of role kind of moving forward.
79:36Right. Yeah. You know, so, you know, I'm not saying he's in no way, shape or form.
79:41Am I saying he's Mike Evans, but Mike Evans has made a living of getting behind defenses.
79:46Right. Yeah. You know, score a touchdown, physical, fast.
79:49And Quentin Johnson's real fast. Yes. You know, so it's going to certainly be interesting in this offense, what the passing volume
79:56kind of looks like and where the target distributions kind of go.
80:00But I like that theory. That's a, that's a fun theory.
80:03And I think there's going to be, if Quentin Johnson just kind of repeats of what he had from last year, I
80:10think there'll be a lot of interest and it would be interesting and probably behoove the chargers to sign them to the
80:16fifth year option and see what they could do on the open market.
80:20Potentially. Yeah. Like that's, that's just kind of, I've been tossing that around as I was working through the, the chargers, the charger stuff.
80:28I got a quick productive struggle story. And before you move on Casey, okay.
80:32We got, cause we got into quarterbacks. Three years ago, I did a productive struggle startup with, with Colt.
80:38He divided me into a league and I drafted, uh, Trey Lance first in like the sixth or something.
80:43Cause it was, that was buying low on Trey Lance three years ago.
80:47And then I got, then I drafted Brock Purdy the next two rounds later.
80:52That was, um, maybe the year after his arm fell off and everybody thought he was dead.
80:57Um, and then five rounds later, I drafted Sam Darnold because he was on the team.
81:02And I didn't know if any one of those quarterbacks was going to work out.
81:06And so I got, I got killed. I got crushed the first year, but that's not the point of the story.
81:13I won the last two years. The point of the story is I got lucky.
81:17The point, the point of the story is not that I went from productive struggle, went year one and didn't do good.
81:24And then I won two years in a row.
81:27The point of the story is I got lucky.
81:30Drafting all the quarterbacks for one team and they go split up and become starters for me elsewhere.
81:35And I'm looking at the ADP here and I see Mac Jones in the 14th round.
81:40And I see, um, if there was an audience, they would throw tomatoes at me.
81:44I see Anthony Richardson in the 17th round. I see Justin Fields in the 17th round.
81:49Um, I see Jalen Milrow in the 21st round.
81:52Like if you're going to productive struggle, you don't need any old wide receivers or running backs on the way out.
81:59You don't need a 35 year old tight end on the way out.
82:02You need to take shots. When the things, when everybody else is all cheap, you need to take shots on the quarterbacks on the way out.
82:10And that's, you know, like that's what I will be doing in those 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 rounds.
82:16I'm going to be taking those quarterbacks. Yes. Um, we'll Howard just wanted to call sort of call that out.
82:22Absolutely. I mean, you've been well, well Howard. I like that.
82:26Yeah. You have been considered. You guys have been consistent about that.
82:29I really, I really, I love that idea. And it's kind of, I mean, I've adopted that in the start.
82:35Like, Hey, I'm going to grab a will Howard.
82:38I'm going to grab, you know, Mac Jones, the delay, not the lot.
82:42The not, if Malik Willis hits, it's going to be like Mike Tyson in the eighties, just straight knockout.
82:48That was Malik Willis, you know, went to become a starter already.
82:52So he was on all my startup teams last year.
82:55And I picked him up on waivers on a couple of short benches.
82:59He's on all my FF. He was dead. He was dead.
83:02You know? So I picked him up every, I got Malik Will Levis, Will Levis, Will Levis, a great call, you know,
83:09let's go pick up these quarterbacks that are left for dead and see what happens.
83:13I mean, yeah, we'll love to AR because you, you, Sam Darnold, Sam Darnold just fed my family, bro.
83:19I got that man. I got him in every league.
83:22I did. I, when he, when he popped up, Shiv, you don't know, you're not in this league.
83:28When he first popped up to be the starter, like in one of our other leagues, I got sent a second round pick for him.
83:35And in one of our home leagues, and I immediately sold them.
83:39And I was like, I got a second round pick for Sam Darnold.
83:43But I, on my other, on my other leagues, I didn't really need a quarterback on that team.
83:48And I turned it out. I really did. I had Anthony Richardson, funny enough, and he went to shit on me.
83:55So I really needed that, that the Sam Darnold.
83:57But anyway, like Sam Darnold really paid off for me a few years ago.
84:02Mac Jones started to pay off. Birdie got hurt.
84:04Mac Jones was in there last year. And now he's on some of my teams and his value.
84:10He's in the 15th round here. He was left for dead last year.
84:14And you know, like that's it. JP, you're, you're not listening to what he's saying.
84:18All those other guys were pipe dreams and, and they've now gained so much value and been usable and fed families like a Sam Darnold.
84:26And I don't know if he will, it'll be good or not.
84:30But like the value turnaround has been so good.
84:33Mac Jones came in and played really well, regardless of what you think, if it's just Shanahan or not, he's going to go somewhere else next year.
84:41And his value is going to rise. You'd never have to even play him.
84:45Doesn't matter. Like you're missing the boat here, dude.
84:48You're missing the point. You're missing the forest through the tree.
84:51Daniel Jones just did it. It's Daniel Jones. They're dead until they're not.
84:55Daniel Jones just did it. Right. Exactly. Kyler Murray's in the middle of it.
84:59And Chevy and Kevin Casey and, uh, Chevy and I were like, uh, Kyler Murray, cheap, cheap, cheap.
85:05Only if he's cheap, cheap, cheap. And Casey was like, well, Kyler Murray, Kyler Murray.
85:09And like, he's already, Kyler Murray's already in the seventh.
85:12He ain't even played into the snap. Right. Exactly.
85:15Cause he's got a job, you know, he got a job, nothing.
85:19You could sell them right now and get out.
85:22And it's fine. You rebounded. You're fine. We, we have a morning to Deshaun Watson could do the craziest thing this year.
85:28Sean Watson could come back and go get you.
85:31The second by the, by the fourth game of this season.
85:34If his year long sabbatical to just focus on getting massages and stuff has brought him back as long hours.
85:41Guys, the 16th round or wherever he's, I think he's in like the 13th in our ADP.
85:46Who? Deshaun Watson. Yeah. We said 16th a night, 16th a night.
85:49Yeah. I mean, I'm saying like, but in our, like the 16.
85:53Yeah. Yeah. So in our ADP, 16, nine, that makes no sense.
85:57If, I mean, it does, all you have to do is just pick Deshaun Watson.
86:01And if you have a viable starter that you can get in the 16th round, or he sucks.
86:07Or he sucks. It's a 16th round starting quarterback in the NFL.
86:10Yeah, dude. Listen, you know, I, I know that we, again, like we all hate to a tongue of Iloa.
86:16Maybe he's never going to be good. Maybe he sucks.
86:20Maybe he's just the best player in practice ever, but like he could be somebody who's just like that.
86:25Like what if he comes in and, and takes the job from Pennix this year, doesn't let it go and goes and
86:32throws for, you know, 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns.
86:35And, you know, maybe you guys, it could happen or whatever, but it's could certainly like, it's just not like, I mean,
86:41Jacoby Brissett was, was valuable last year. You know what I mean?
86:45So, Oh, Jacob Brissett helped me win a championship.
86:48I did have B. John and Gibbs, but I didn't have hardly any healthy wide receivers and all my, all my quarterbacks got hurt.
86:55Um, Deshaun Watson. I traded for him the year before on the cheap, because I thought he was in Brock Purdy had been hurt the year before.
87:03And I, I plugged in Brissett all year last year.
87:06Yeah. I mean, Hey JP, you know, we, we have been holding Trey Lance for a while and maybe that'll never happen.
87:13And, you know, Hey, you got stuff stuck holding the bag there.
87:17And, and I still have Trey Lance. Trey Lance is a great call.
87:21Actually. He said he's so far down. He's not even on these lists.
87:25I'm drafting Trey Lance this year for sure. Yes, sir.
87:28Absolutely. Here's the thing. Here's the thing. These are all, these are all assets that could ascend in value.
87:34And if they don't, then eventually you can cut, but in a super flex league, you would rather have a bunch of
87:40lottery tickets that can increase in value versus like, well, I know I can get nine points from this guy this week, just sitting on your bench.
87:49Cause nobody wants to trade for that. Yeah. Somebody's going to need a quarterback.
87:53And if one of those guys turns into a starter, Davis mills, that's another great call.
87:58That's a nice, he's in a contract year. These court, these backup quarterbacks are in contract years.
88:03Matt Jones, Davis mills, will Levis, all those guys or younger quarterbacks that haven't quite gotten their opportunity yet because Aaron Rogers just won't fucking retire.
88:11Like you will make a bet on those guys.
88:14Yeah. Will Howard. I mean, I'm not a, I'm not, I'm not a, I'm not a drew.
88:19I'm not a drew. Aller guy. But it's so, it's so unknown out there.
88:23And you cover presents holding out or whatever the case he's doing.
88:27I know he's reporting to mini camp that those guys could increase exponentially in value.
88:31And now your team's worth more and you can get more because you just rostered a quarterback.
88:36No, it's not going to work out all the time.
88:39Nobody's saying that this is a foolproof strategy. Right.
88:42We just pointed out like seven guys that it worked for.
88:46And you want to focus on Trey Lance, dude?
88:48Yeah. Yeah. Well, and they've all had different, like there's all different paths for all those guys.
88:54Willis played a little bit and then simmered out and it didn't work because the Titans were awful, you know?
89:00Right. And like Trey, like Trevor Lawrence is on the opposite end of that, where it was like, he was fizzling out and he sucked.
89:07And now people just don't want to get rid of their priors and they just want to stick with it instead of
89:14adjusting to the new information of like, Oh shit, maybe Cohen can coach this guy.
89:19And maybe, maybe Trey, maybe Trevor's bounced up back too high and maybe he'll kind of regress a little bit back to the meme.
89:26But Trevor's a fine quarterback. Like everyone just wants everyone to be Patrick Mahomes.
89:30And that's not what's going to happen. You're just trying to find some value, right?
89:35Well, I say it every year that we don't have 32 starting quarterbacks, but let me just, let me read you a list here.
89:42I started this whole conversation, you know, finding a way to tell you, I won the championship two years in a row.
89:49So this is the list of quarterbacks that sit behind Brock Purdy and Sam Darnold on this team.
89:54That's one, two years in a row. I did draft Jalen Milrow last year in the rookie draft.
90:00Jamis Winston been sitting on my team the whole time.
90:03Trey Lance been sitting on my team the whole time.
90:06Hadn't started a game for me. I drafted him before both of those two players, Anthony Richardson.
90:11I drafted him in the first round of the startup at one 12.
90:15I went back to back B. John, Anthony Richardson, Richardson has killed me.
90:19Mitchell Trubisky been on my team for two years.
90:22Tyra Taylor been on my team for two years.
90:24Zach Wilson got him for free. Like there's five quarterbacks right there where I've gotten zero out of, and I've rostered them,
90:31but I dug through the trash and came up with Sam Darnold.
90:35Right. So like, and that's, that's the whole point here.
90:38And like, I, I'm sure I could have found somebody to put on my team instead of Tyra Taylor, but like every
90:45time Tyra Taylor did get on the field, he looked fine.
90:48And I was like, you know what? I don't have a great quarterback situation.
90:52I'm getting it done. Let me just get all the quarterbacks that I can get.
90:57Anytime a quarterback gets to waiver wire, I scoop them up.
91:00Yeah. Yeah. And it, you know, and we, we, again, I just, you know, these, this system works in a bunch of different ways.
91:07Like Sam Darnold just stayed cheap because nobody wanted to believe what they were seeing on the Vikings and that he was still trash.
91:15Right. And, and, you know, Daniel Jones is, has had a similar kind of situation.
91:19So it's just like people really, really hang on to the priors.
91:23And just that, especially like quarterbacks, especially that like, there's no way that they could like get into a new situation and a new system.
91:31and be better. Great point. Great point. Casey, Sam Darnold just won a championship.
91:35He's ADP 706. Yeah. He just won the Superbowl and had a fantastic season by all accounts.
91:40They're Vikings are sitting up here going, who did we let leave our building?
91:44And Sam Darnold is 706. And I, like you said, he got this, he got this two second ship.
91:50He got like, I couldn't let go of my priors.
91:53I, I love cheap quarterbacks. And I took a second round pick so fast for Sam Darnold because that was found money in that one league.
92:01I just mentioned from the home league, because I didn't pay nothing for him.
92:05I got a second round pick in that league.
92:08Rookie drafts go into rookie picks, go into auction dollars.
92:11So that second round pick is actually worth more than just having a second round pick.
92:16I could cumulative go on, go with some other dollars.
92:19And still two years later, Sam Darnold goes off crushes with Vikings and then goes to Seattle and wins the championship.
92:25And he's still in the seventh round. Get my bad chef.
92:29Go. Oh no, I was going to, yeah, I was going to support your point.
92:33Not only did they let one quarterback that went out and balled out loud.
92:38They let two, they had Daniel Jones too. Sure.
92:40Two guys in the building. That's all I was going to say.
92:44They had two guys in the building. They let go for nine.
92:48And now it's just, Oh, Kevin O'Connell could be on the job market next year.
92:52Yeah. All right. Well, let's transition to a couple more questions here and get off this, but I do want to do
92:59a quick read for prize picks, prize picks, America's number one sports app.
93:03The app is really easy to use. Just pick more or less than a few stats and lock in your lineup.
93:09That prize picks available in most states, including California, Texas, and Florida, but of course not limited to.
93:15So check where you're located at. I know we're in Charleston, South Carolina, and it is a lot of fun to use here.
93:22Download the app, use promo code HMA, and new users get $50 in lineups instantly when you play your first $5 lineup.
93:29So, uh, we got a lineup here. Let's stop sharing this.
93:32So it's not back there. And let's go back to this screen.
93:36So Jason doesn't get mad at me here. Uh, but right now we got Freddie Freeman.
93:40We had the more on him. He's currently in the green on that one.
93:45We had Jared Jones. We had the more on 3.5 Ks, uh, Brandon Marsh.
93:49We had the more on 0.5 hits there. Uh, and then we had read.
93:53I don't know how to pronounce his last name.
93:56Not even going to pretend. Um, Devers. Sure. Um, Devers.
93:59Yeah, sure. We had less than, less than 6.5 Ks.
94:02So, uh, it's that easy. And we played the four, the four flex there.
94:06So we only have to hit three of those guys and, uh, we still get paid out.
94:12Or if we hit all four, uh, we also get a bit better of a payday.
94:16So promo code HMA, $50 new use, you get $50 in lineups instantly.
94:20When you play your first $5 lineup, go check out prize picks.
94:24A lot of fun stuff with the world cup coming up over there too.
94:28Like, you know, Hey, I don't know a whole lot about baseball, but like, Hey, I can see what these guys have
94:35been up to and I can kind of put together some stuff.
94:39And it's been, you know, decent world cups coming up.
94:42A lot of fun there. Basketball finals, a lot of fun there.
94:45You're sitting around watching this stuff. You might as well throw a couple bucks on it.
94:50You know, we got UFC two 50 coming up.
94:53That's going to be on there too. You know, Hey, that's not my thing, but it's other people's thing.
94:59So, Hey, we're even at the world cup. Isn't your thing.
95:02It's fun to throw a couple of things on prize picks and have some fun while you're watching some things that you have no idea what's going on.
95:11So, so anyhow. All right. Let's get back to the show here for a little bit longer and then we'll, uh, you
95:17know, I don't know if we'll quite get to all the questions, uh, but let's, let's jump back over there real quick.
95:24Um, um, and I wanted to go back to one that we started with and then we didn't quite, um, I didn't
95:31quite do it exactly how, I was feeling it here.
95:34So let's go back to, this was the dark guy, right?
95:37And his question was, he's thinking of moving on from dark capitalizing on the value at the moment.
95:43Which direction should I go? Should I tear up or tear down open to ideas?
95:47And, and you know, we kind of looked at his team, looked at the power rankings, said, Hey, you know, you got
95:54a young team, you're kind of productive struggling. I like where you're at here.
95:58We like to tear down and add some other players.
96:01Uh, and shuck was kind of somebody who, uh, chef kind of pointed out here.
96:06Uh, but if we go over to the offer finder here, we can go ahead and select Jackson dart and then pull up some, some trades.
96:14And now, you know, a lot of these aren't necessarily getting a quarterback back, but, um, you know, like, would you right
96:21now, you know, here's a, would Jackson dart to bow next?
96:24Cause that's kind of staying in the same range.
96:27But if you wanted to go grab like a Buka and a, and a two or something, or Warren and a premium
96:33and a two, you know, that those could be some options to get off of the quarterback.
96:39But in general, I'm going to want to tear down to, uh, a quarterback play and get like a young receiver who hasn't necessarily me.
96:46Like if I could tear down to like, you know, shuck a pick and can I get Higgins or something along those lines?
96:53You know what I mean? Like, just can I get, how can I get down to, how can I get the tear
97:00down, get a pick and, and then grab another player that I, you know, necessarily maybe hasn't broken out.
97:06It fits my build. Um, that's kind of where I want to go with that.
97:10So any, any other quick things before we move on?
97:13Yeah. Team trade frenzy doesn't really have a QB two and he's listed as a contender.
97:18I would, I'd go knocking on that door to see what I can see.
97:22What young asset I can grab over there or Jackson dart so that we can stay in that productive struggle.
97:29Yeah. Like he doesn't, you know, that's, that's if, you know, if you don't want to grab another quarterback in there, like
97:35you could go after some players on, on that team as well.
97:39So that's kind of the decision you want to make.
97:42Like it puts you in a tough spot to not get the quarterback back, especially cause you're not, um, super deep in the quarterback game there.
97:50Um, you know, you'd be relying on JJ McCarthy and Carson Beck, but that's going to put you, you know, probably closer
97:57into the running for a higher pick next year.
97:59If you don't have a quarterback, which you're probably going to be there anyway.
98:04Um, and you already have a couple of first rounders.
98:07So, Hey, why not? You know, like what is, what is Jackson dart equate in first rounders?
98:12Right. Can I go trade Jackson dart, a first rounder?
98:15And then like, what, what could I get back after a 27 first?
98:19So I have extra bullets in that gun. And then like, was there a quarter, like you're not getting a 27 first and shuck, right?
98:26Do you think, you think that's a possibility? You could definitely offer it.
98:30I mean, that, that the, the state of the condition of that team also being a rebuilder.
98:36I don't know that he'd be willing to part with his first round pick to get Jackson dart.
98:41Yeah. But you got to try. You mean, yeah.
98:44I'm going to say you miss a hundred percent of shots.
98:47You don't take, you know, Michael Scott said that.
98:50The problem is what he say. He said Michael Scott said that the, the problem is the shucks, the people, if like,
98:57if you're in a startup right now, shuck is cheaper than I think you probably should be.
99:02But if you're in a current league and you're like, Hey, I'm trying to get shuck from the guy who had him
99:09last year and saw him score all those points down the stretch.
99:12That's the problem. Because again, I was behind on my Tyler shuck.
99:16I was behind on my saints. And as I was paying attention to it and trying to catch up and I'm looking
99:23at the game log and I'm watching the, you know, I wanted to see all the shuck throws.
99:28And then I wanted to see the highlights and this and that.
99:32And, you know, again, I, like I said, first thing I said on here is how impressed I was with what Kellen Moore had going on.
99:40But like, if you look at Tyler shucks game log from down the stretch and he's throwing those Russian touchdowns, man, like
99:46you're not getting Tyler shuck off of somebody's team for a late six startup type price.
99:51It ain't happening. Like I, if maybe if you, if the guy that has him wishes, he was Tyler's wishes.
99:57He was Jackson dart. You, you might as well try to get that first round pick next year.
100:03I, you know, I, I could get on board with that.
100:06I don't see any reason why we didn't see enough.
100:09You know, I don't see any reason why you can't look at Tyler shuck.
100:14But now after what he did last year and what Jackson dart did last year and say that any one of them
100:20has an advantage going into this year, really? And if you, and if you could, they might not be your opinion, but that's my opinion.
100:28As far as like the quarterback throwing the ball, not Jackson dart running around, getting a little bit more aggressive with his legs.
100:35And if that hurts him, literally hurts him in the long run.
100:39But like, if you put those two guys on the same playing field for the what's going on inside the helmet and
100:45the ability to see a play and get it out.
100:48And then you look at Kellen Moore and the X's and O's that he has and what is going on with the giants.
100:55Then you start if that, I, I don't want to say you, then I start to lean towards.
101:01It wouldn't surprise me at all. Jackson dart is getting outscored by Tyler shuck early and often in the, in the season.
101:07Yeah. I mean, I, I'm, that may be a very, very hot take, but I don't think so.
101:13I don't think it's super hot unless you just dynasty startup value.
101:17It's very hot. Yeah. But I mean, their worlds apart in value on the paper right here, but I don't think it's
101:23like, I, if somebody's got Tyler shuck, they're holding him like a Parker Washington owner.
101:28I'm telling you that right now. Yeah. I mean, it's, it's weird.
101:32No football is being played. So everybody stuck to their priors about what they believe.
101:36And we, we got to let ball tell the story.
101:39I I'm 100% with you. I don't think that there's a huge chasm.
101:43I mean, Jackson darts rushing upside, but sure. Yeah.
101:46For Tyler shuck, have four straight games with at least six carries.
101:50Like that was right after the bye week. I was like, I just looked into all this after the bye week, Tyler shuck came out.
101:57They were like, Hey, this is what we need to do.
102:01And then as soon as he gets a couple of runs like that, now the defense changes.
102:06Now, everything that he gets now, now everything the defense is trying to do.
102:10Now they got to, they got to, that zone read.
102:13He might actually keep it or a naked bootleg is, is in the playbook now, you know, or scramble.
102:19And then, so now the defense has to be like, Oh, we got to account for that blade of grass way over there.
102:26And then the deep, now the, the slant is a little bit more open.
102:30You know what I mean? So like it all plays together.
102:33Everything that Jackson dart creates for himself to make it easier.
102:37Tyler shuck was doing the same thing. Now, some of that Jackson dart in trouble in the pocket, stay cool, calm and collected.
102:44Tyler shuck didn't have all that, but Tyler shuck was letting it rip in.
102:48In the context of an offense that was practiced to make people open.
102:52And the, I've kept the reason like the Liam Cohen stuff, chef, the Ben Johnson stuff, the Sean McVay to call Shannon,
102:59not, it's not an even playing field for every quarterback on Sunday.
103:02Correct. Other quarterbacks are put in better position for success.
103:05And right now, Tyler shuck is in one of those positions for success.
103:09He has a cannon for an arm. And if he's seeing it and he's ripping it and he's running touchdowns in, like there's fantasy points.
103:17It's got Jordan Tyson. Now that was like, that's the, that's, that's the, the Jordan Tyson.
103:22And even the deep, deep Oscar delp stuff. Like some of these plays, if you just look at when you, if you
103:29just go back and look at the highlights and you just say, you know, show me Tyler shucks highlights on YouTube.
103:35So obviously it's an eat up with a lava, right?
103:38For sure. A lot of it was doing work, but some of these plays are the guys I've never heard of.
103:45And that like, you plug in Tyson and Dale with to Kelly, Kelly Moore's offense.
103:49Like this dude was throwing, like the office was a beautiful thing in motion.
103:53It was his first year, first year rookie quarterback that had to take over for Spencer Rattler.
103:59Like it was, it was, it was really, I was impressed.
104:02And I'm, I know I'm late to the party.
104:05I'm four months late, but I'm catching up. And I'm like, wow, all stock, stock up, Kellen Moore, stock up saints, stock up shop.
104:12You know? Yeah. I'm in. I think if you're right now, I think if you're kind of going equal, kind of not,
104:19maybe not tearing down, like I would try to maybe I like, and feel more comfortable about my quarterback situation.
104:25Like if I could go from dart to hurts, I got no problem with that.
104:29Like if we're just kind of staying kind of even neutral, like just saying, Hey, I'm not, I know maybe darts going
104:36to be awesome and it's fun and it's cool and whatever.
104:39But like, I know I'm good with hurts and the values down a little bit.
104:44I, you know, I don't mind that as yeah, for sure.
104:47Lateral move. Okay. Um, let's see here. Questions in here.
104:50Um, this guy says, I'm looking to fill a solid wide receiver option to fill in for neighbors, at least at the start of the year.
104:58When I asked about trading briefs for Zay flowers and ETN, you guys remember, remember recommended not trying to pivot to the trade in the QB.
105:06And I think I can get a deal done.
105:09Uh, what y'all's thoughts first, trade Jared golf and Casey conception for Garrett Wilson and an early to mid 27 second.
105:15I know I don't love getting rid of, uh, conception, but I don't hate it either.
105:20If not, what wide receiver would you go after?
105:23Thanks in advance. Love listening. podcast, keep up the great work.
105:26So what are we thinking here, guys? Let me, I'm, I'm still.
105:30So he, he's saying, he's saying he wants to trade golf for conception for Garrett Wilson and a 27 second.
105:36Um, no, you said, Oh, golf and Casey conception for Garrett Wilson in an early 20, early to mid 20.
105:42No. Yeah. She's right. That's a no. So, so here's this, here's his quarterbacks.
105:46He's got, uh, Drake may Fernando Mendoza golf shuck and Daniel Jones.
105:50So he has nice quarterbacks. Very good. Very good.
105:53You can do work. You are liquid in the quarterback market.
105:56That is fantastic, but you don't have to give away some of that asset power to go.
106:01You, you, once you make one trade and now all of a sudden, you know, you're like, all right, well, I got,
106:08I got Tyler shuck, which is the guy y'all are just raving about, but you get, now you got a rookie in
106:15Mendoza and Daniel Jones has gotten approved that he can play with a new ankle, a new Achilles, you know?
106:21So like, I'm not itching to just go give away.
106:24I'm with you. I'm trading Jared golf, but I might need to put, it's hard to get a quarterback.
106:30And now you got a bunch. So that means there's a little bit more.
106:34There's going to be a nice one or two more teams that have there that are missing one because you got five,
106:41five playable ones, five that can start, you know what you got?
106:44Shev this. We talked to this guy last week, right?
106:47Yeah. Yeah. We talked to him last week and we were saying like, use, use golf or use one of these guys.
106:54You can use one of these guys to get, to get up to, to get something.
106:59I don't really think, I mean, do you trade for a running back?
107:03I don't trade breeze. I'm not doing that. I'm not trading Quinn, Sean.
107:07Shout out to big cover. I just, because I'm not in the business of trading Quinn, Sean Jenkins.
107:12I'm just not. That was a direct quote from one of our, one of our message threads about me asking about Quinn, Sean.
107:19So, I mean, you're pretty solid there. I just, I don't like, I don't like giving up Casey and Jared golf to
107:26try to, to try to get Garrett Wilson. Who's your wide receiver, wide receiver, two wide receiver, wide receiver, three probably starts
107:33off the season as your wide receiver two. Cause we're assuming I'm just going to go ahead and start saying that Malik
107:40neighbors is going to start the season on the pup.
107:43So we're not seeing him until week five. That was kind of his thought, right?
107:47Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I'm, I'm with you. I'm with you there, but I just, I don't see the need to you're
107:54strong enough to where I don't feel like you need to make this move right now.
107:59You can wait and let some people start bleeding out and they really need, they really need to fill solidify that quarterback spot.
108:06I just don't think these are the moves. Yeah.
108:09If you, if you, and like, look to be able to move off of, um, you know, golf and, and have the
108:15flexibility to be able to go get an elite asset without having to get a quarterback back is, is a nice position to be in.
108:23And you can certainly do something like that. Right.
108:26That's a great spot to be in. So I wouldn't, I wouldn't rush into anything.
108:30And then furthermore, like if you're just looking to like, kind of circumnavigate some things for a minute while neighbors, and you
108:37see what that's going on, like, I'd just, I'd be just aiming on a cheaper thing for veteran wide receivers.
108:43Then like right now, like you're in a position, if that's what you want, like veteran wide receivers are going to be super cheap right now.
108:51You know? Yeah. Cause nobody wants that. Everyone's excited about everything else, not the veterans.
108:56Right. You just mentioned Mike Evans. Like, dude, you probably pick up Mike Evans right now for a third, two thirds, right.
109:02You know, maybe, maybe, maybe a two, three swap.
109:05Right. Um, so I'd be kind of more into that kind of thing.
109:09So yeah, Mike Evans, Devante Adams, like those are all guys that you can get that can help you shore up your depth.
109:16Cause I mean, you're in F them picks mode pretty much.
109:19Yeah. Sort of. Yeah. You can shore up your depth really quickly.
109:23And then when Malik neighbors comes back, you're, you're supercharged and ready to go run for a title.
109:28Yeah. So he just said, follow up on that.
109:31Should I do that? Right. Dude. I just, just relax for a second.
109:35Just relax. I tried horniness is real too. And I understand.
109:39Yeah. I don't come get in the discord, hop in there and, and ask some questions.
109:43Uh, the free discord for sure. The paid one, you know, even better to, to just kind of.
109:49So I, there's a lot of people in there.
109:52I don't, I don't see them all. So I would, I would relax and just, uh, if I need, if I feel,
109:58if I want to feel a little more comfortable right now, I'd go trade for a veteran, like a Terry or a
110:05Mike Evans, or just like guys who are in later rounds right now, who could, you know, help you out and get through that spot.
110:13But you know, you don't have to do anything drastic right at the moment.
110:17We'll wait until I can find the deal that I really want to put together that just a, I'm, I'm getting rid of it.
110:24And if, and I'm cool with dealing a quarterback, but like, I want to, I want to take my time and, and
110:31just, I want to be, I need to try five or six different.
110:35I need to try to hold that whole league and figure out what I can get.
110:40Yeah. And that's, these are the, these are the positions where I come in and I throw higher.
110:45I got everything I'm throwing out there is higher than I'm willing to accept.
110:50And I'm just seeing what comes back. Right. Cause I don't know if they take it great, but I don't necessarily even want to take it.
110:58I just want to see what on their team, they got looser grips on and bad values on.
111:03That's all I'm trying to find right now. Who's got bad values on guys that I have good values on.
111:09Yep. That's true. That's true. Yeah. Slow play in the trade off of the quarterback.
111:14When you're in a quarterback position of power is the way to go.
111:18I would have no, I'm trying to maybe, and you, when you have five quarterbacks, I'm trying to trade Daniel Jones before he is supposed to play again.
111:26Um, potentially if you have the quarterback quantity to not have to do that, if he comes back and he can't, and
111:33he's not any good, you'd be all right. Right.
111:36But maybe you got, maybe you trade your golf and data Jones are the same guy.
111:41Maybe turn the firm fund meter up and you got, I can give you two quarterbacks, but, but like Casey said, very,
111:47very well, like to be able to trade a Jared golf and not have to get a quarterback back is hard to find.
111:54Like you could look Lee. I mean, you could study four or five different leagues before you find a team that could
112:01trade a legit 4,000 yard, 30 touchdown guy without needing to get a quarterback back.
112:06So you are in a position of ultimate strength here.
112:09And you got studs. Like you got Judkins and Brees hall.
112:12You got neighbors in a lava and Tyson, who we think could be a stud.
112:17You got Brock Bowers. Like you're obviously one of the best teams in the league.
112:21Flow play coming off the quarterback. I like what you're doing and I don't mind trading golf.
112:26I don't mind it at all, but it may, you might be able to may, might be able to add to that
112:33and get something better than Garrett Wilson. Like Casey said, you got to go try.
112:38If that's the best you can get, I don't hate it, but don't just rush into it.
112:43You got, when you got the power, you need to go a little bit slower and make sure it's the best deal you can get.
112:50All right. We got about 10 more minutes here before we're going to sign off.
112:55We'll get, try to get two more questions in and then we'll, we'll, we'll hit the rest of the questions either next
113:02time or we'll, we'll add a stream or something in here.
113:05So my running back room is stacked with three young studs.
113:08I also have CMC. I'm a top contender. At what price do I consider moving off of him or should I just
113:15keep stacking cash with him in my lineup? So let's go to the power rankings.
113:20We got so good back from the back. So he's got Dak, Daniel Jones, Shuck and Aaron Rogers.
113:25He's got Jeremiah love a Chan and Hampton. And then Christian McCaffrey.
113:29Those are the studs. He was speaking of in the back of that backfield.
113:33He's got Adam Randall, Jalen Warren, Spears, Isaiah Davis and black like that.
113:37And then he's got chase Tet pickens, lad Zachariah branch, Caleb Douglas.
113:41So you're a rat. He's got stowers, Gatson, Laporta and Hunter Henry.
113:44So nice, nice quarterback room or a tight end room there.
113:48So we're seeing here. It's not three wide receivers.
113:50So we can kind of, we kind of have some more flexibility there.
113:54So he's basically asking when should he cash in on CMC or is like, is this a, one of those things where
114:01you let them die on your roster in this situation?
114:04Well, you're obviously stacked. That's a, that's a solid collection of running backs and wide receivers and Gatson and Laporta and Stowers.
114:11I mean, wow. You know, you got a couple of quarterbacks to Daniel Jones is your third.
114:16Aaron Rogers might get you some starts. Um, I know Casey's going to say, let Kate, let Christian McCaffrey hang out.
114:22I got no problem doing it either. And you, you know, you could, you could be three weeks, five weeks into the
114:29season and you could have the worst injury look ever.
114:32And Christian McCaffrey is not one of them. And then you can sell them to as a contender that, you know, um,
114:39obviously you, the only gamble you run is him getting a severe injury and, and, and going from there.
114:45But like, why would you have this much strength on your team and trade away?
114:49And as good as all these players look on your team at top value, at their peak, the only one that can
114:56compete with Christian McCaffrey is Jamar chase, you know?
114:59So like Christian McCaffrey is going to outscore your quarterbacks when he's right.
115:03So I just hang on to Christian McCaffrey for a little bit and, and have it in my back of my head.
115:09Like if things aren't going right, for some reason, if, if I Dak Prescott's been hurt before Daniel Jones, obviously still coming back.
115:16Aaron Rogers is 78 years old. Tyler should like you, if all of a sudden you don't have any quarterbacks to play
115:23and things aren't looking good, then maybe I trade Christian McCaffrey then.
115:27And just like, there's no reason, you know, if you don't have any quarterbacks to start and everybody got hurt, like, all
115:33right, like make a move, you know, but as long as you're healthy enough to get to the playoffs, anything can happen.
115:40And Christian McCaffrey is going to give you one of the best chances to win.
115:45If you can get through the first 15 weeks of the season.
115:48Yeah. I mean, I just been scrolling through this league here and you know, I, you got one of the strongest teams.
115:55So chef, go ahead. I don't, I mean, I don't think that you move Christian McCaffrey right now.
116:01I mean, there's, there's only, I've decided that the way that I'm going to play Christian McCaffrey moving forward is if for
116:07some reason he gets nicked up during mandatory minicamp or at some point during training camp, I'm off.
116:13I'm out. I'm out. If we make it through healthy, like he did last year and there were no, there were no
116:20red flags that we got the, we got the issue with the Achilles going into early.
116:24Like we didn't, we made it through training. Like everybody was like, wait, just wait.
116:29It'll be fine. You know, whatever. But I'm, I'm out.
116:32If we have any sort of, Hey, he's going to miss some time with the, you know, whatever.
116:38I'm out last year. We didn't get that. I was in, it worked out.
116:42Well, he stayed healthy. Players tend to players, elite players tend to want to stay healthy and be on the field.
116:48So that's just the way that I would play it.
116:51I think that big co with, with what you said, if, I mean, I mean, especially I'm team.
116:57Let's go win some championships. Not let's be a contest of a roster.
117:01Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I mean, I think with this, with what you got going on right here, unless something goes terribly wrong, let's go print some money.
117:09Right. Yeah. Let's, let's, let's be open to the idea that Christian McCaffrey plays at a high level for three more years.
117:16What if Matt, what if he Matt Forte's this thing?
117:19At least two more years. You know, who knows what if he like, like Casey, maybe he has a down here this
117:26year and then has two more after that. Who knows Casey's been saying it for two years now.
117:31Like just let him go play in the slot.
117:34He doesn't have to run between the tackles all the time anymore.
117:38Right. So like he could easily Matt Forte to saying and catch a hundred balls for the next three years.
117:44Right. So I'm okay. If Christian McCaffrey, if a big deal comes my way and I'm okay, putting this message in the
117:50league and being like, Hey guys, I got some other running back.
117:54So if anybody wants to come pay, you know, a decent price for Christian McCaffrey and send me a trade idea, go ahead.
118:01But I'm probably not trading them. If you want to come get Christian McCaffrey, come on, I'm open for business.
118:07I'll talk to you. Right. I don't have a problem doing that.
118:11A lot of times I don't put the trades into, into group chat.
118:15I go individually. A lot of times, like in this scenario, what I don't really want to trade him anyway.
118:21It's like, I'll throw the hook in the water and if he won't, see if somebody wants to come bring me a good deal and being open.
118:29Yes, he could get hurt and he could be out.
118:32But I mean, any other player on, I'm not going to name any names.
118:36Any other player on your team could get a severe injury and never be right again.
118:41Right. So Jack, Jack said, Hall of Famers tend to play longer.
118:45Mike Evans. Sure. Jack Pills is he would try to do Ted Laporta for Bowers and McBride.
118:50You know, you know, I don't mind. Like that's, you know, if you want to then even go further, like the tech
118:57team and the McBride team, you know, the tech is not to swap them out.
119:01Pick is not to, I'm not trading away to it.
119:04Absolutely. That's what I was going to say. I was like, there's one glaring hole here.
119:09And I would, I would, it's flashing red lights for me.
119:13The idea of going after the elite tight end is, is, is cool with me though.
119:18I like, I don't, I like that. I would, was also going to be sort of a suggestion that I made.
119:24Like, Hey, if you want to make a move, not with CMC necessarily, but like, you know, that'd be, you know, Laporta
119:31could bounce back and be right up in there.
119:33And I'll, you know, we all like Gadsden and we like Stowers.
119:37And so, but you're, you're set up and you're good.
119:40I like it. Let's, let's see. This team is so good.
119:44I'll go. This team is so good. Like I don't mind holding pickings in this team and being available for whatever crazy
119:50might happen because I'm going to ride those points out because if you lost pickings on this team, I don't want to
119:57say you wouldn't feel it, but you could get over it quickly.
120:01Right. You got, I don't know how many flex spots they got, but you got flex wide risk.
120:06You got flex running backs everywhere. Um, you know, you got chase, Ted McMillan and lad McConkie.
120:11Uh, so I'm not in a hurry to trade pickings off of this team versus if you're another dynasty team and you
120:18don't have as many assets like this team right here is just rich of assets.
120:23So like I could be okay with that. But like, if I'm trading a wide receiver to tear up somewhere as pickings and it's not 10.
120:30Yeah. Yeah. There's some really, I like some of these questions that are in here.
120:35Um, but I'm only going to do one more, but we'll, we'll either get to these next week.
120:41Um, uh, or we'll, we'll find some other spot to, to sort of answer these, but I really appreciate everybody using the queue.
120:48This is super helpful. It's really great for us to be able to pull up all this information.
120:53There's so many more tools that we're integrating into this to be able to do a bunch of different things.
120:59Um, and roster reviews are like, basically we're kind of finalizing them right now.
121:03They're super fun, super cool. Uh, so we're excited to do that.
121:07Be able to give you guys personal ones and be able to give you guys just kind of a sheet to, to kind of work off as well.
121:16So, all right, let's do this last one here.
121:18Um, do, do, do we've got, uh, Carter T Y four.
121:22He says, top teams been running the league for years because of a startup.
121:26We're now in year four. What direction do you think this team should be?
121:30Or what, what do you think the direction of this team should be rather?
121:35So, uh, we're looking at team Dr. J's here.
121:37So team, Dr. J's has got Brock golf, Ty Simpson, Mac Jones, Stafford, Jacoby reset.
121:42Nice little room there. He's got Travion and CMC Rico, Singleton, Samson, Brian Thomas, and Trey Benson.
121:47Then he's got Justin Jefferson, Teddero, McMillan, Egbuka, Lemon, KC, Downs, Cooper, Pittman, Bell.
121:51Nice room. No, uh, Jalen, Noel, Tori Horton, like that.
121:54Uh, Keon Coleman, Dante Thornton. And then he's got, uh, in the tight end room, Kincaid, Hawk, Juwan Johnson, Joe Lee, and Mason Taylor.
122:02And it looks like you do not have your 27 first.
122:05Um, so, uh, let's see who's been the top dog here.
122:08I'm going to assume it's probably this guy. Let's expand all.
122:12Oh, it's definitely him. Uh, Oh, it's definitely him.
122:14Uh, top dog over here. He's got, uh, he's got Josh Allen, Dak, Penix Beck, Bijon Gibbs, HN Taylor.
122:20That's a solid starting bit. But here's got Puka, Nico, Rashi, Jameson Williams, T Parker, Washington, Trey McBride on the tight end
122:27side, Harold Fanning on the tight end side pits on the tight end side.
122:31Um, so that's a, that's a really solid team.
122:34I mean, this, the next team is pretty good too.
122:37Um, I mean, this, this JT is, is pretty solid here.
122:40He's got two first round picks. This guy has his, somebody else's first round pick.
122:45So generally I think what, what, uh, this fellow is asking here is like, what, what direction does he go with his team?
122:52Because somebody has been dominant. And, and do we think that that run is going to sort of end?
122:58It's kind of how I'm thinking about that. Oh, I mean, that, that team, that, that team's dominant run is not coming into an end anytime soon.
123:06You're, but I've, Casey and I play in an FFPC league where there's one team like that and they didn't, they were
123:13in the playoffs and got kicked out and they got fourth place this year.
123:17They weren't in the money. Anything can happen. This, anything can happen in the playoffs.
123:22And so all you got to do is try your best to be up there with those top two or three teams
123:28and then hope the ball bounces your way. You got some, you got some guys that can score points.
123:34Um, you know, I, I like, you got Mac Jones on the bench.
123:38You got, you know, maybe you can find a quarterback team and get, get something for staff or you have to, like
123:45you have to maximize every little piece when you have a team up there like that.
123:50Like you can't, I would, I would try to get something for Stafford.
123:54It's like, all right, well, because you can't talk out of both sides of your mouth, it can't be like, well, I
124:00got to get you to playoffs and see what happens.
124:03And Matt Stafford is, could be QB one. Yes.
124:06But he's also QB first to retire out of everybody, but Aaron Rogers.
124:10Right. So like I would try, you got Purdy and golf and Mac Jones and you got Ty Simpsons.
124:16I mean, I guess you could hold on to Stafford and that way you got Ty Simpsons right behind him.
124:22But I, I'd be wanting to like, you know, this, if you're trying to just try to win money this year, guess
124:29this dude that you got an unstoppable team and another team that's pretty good.
124:33Like Christian McCaffrey, that's as good a player as any to try to try to do that with.
124:38So I'm telling you just maybe get something for Stafford, but Christian McCaffrey is over here on your team too.
124:44So it's really tough to navigate your situation versus, you know, a superstar team, right?
124:49You basically, you're playing against all pros over there.
124:52What'd you think, chef? Yeah. I mean, I'm trying to load up on, I'm trying to load up on draft capital to
124:59try to let that team either age out or get unlucky.
125:02Like it's, uh, Christian McCaffrey, Enrico Dow kind of stick out to me and everything else.
125:07You're in a pretty good spot. You know, you're in a pretty good spot as far as, you know, long-term value.
125:13You, you've got your wide receiver room built out.
125:16And those, those are all guys that I feel like are going to continue to ascend.
125:21Justin Jefferson's value could have seen, like I said, no need to spend time there.
125:25We know the wide receiver room solid. Um, the, I'm trying to sell Christian McCaffrey on this roster in particular.
125:31I know Shane, oh, appreciate you listening. We just did some business in, I think the FFD one league maybe potentially possibly,
125:38but I think Matthew Stafford, Christian McCaffrey, Rico Dowdle, uh, are the guys that I'm trying to unload off of this roster
125:45to try to load up on the draft capital.
125:48That's, that's kind of where, that's kind of where I lean because I mean, this is not, you're not to me, you're
125:54not in a position where you're going to, you're going to win money, but I mean, you could chance it, but I'm
126:01not selling picks to try to strengthen this roster to compete with the roster that we just showed.
126:07That's perfect logic right there. Shev there. You can change.
126:10You can go halfway through the season and hang on to Christian McCaffrey and see what happens.
126:15Um, and see if everything else is going right, you could go win money for sure, but not giving away draft picks
126:21next year to add one player here or there.
126:24And try to compete with that big dog team.
126:27I love that answer. Shev don't give away your draft picks.
126:30I was, you know, try to make some more draft picks out of Stafford.
126:35And I like the Rico Dowdle call out. I'd give him a minute to start playing ball because I think obviously Jalen
126:41Warren is good, but I think that Rico Dowdle could go over there and become more valuable.
126:46Um, as you know, so I like that call a lot to not use your draft picks right now to try to
126:53catch up with this other superpower team. yeah, unfortunately he's already given away his 21st this year and there's already like, it's,
127:00this is a tricky spot because there's already some teams down here at the bottom.
127:04If you look that, you know, this guy's got, he's got somebody's first already, uh, Cooper Gary.
127:10He's a rebuilder. Um, this guy doesn't have any of his first miss new booty.
127:14Um, love us. Um, or Levis. Uh, he's got his first still.
127:18Um, but this guy's got three firsts already. Two dads, one team.
127:22Um, and then boomer bust. He doesn't, it's only a 10 man league.
127:25He doesn't have his, his first. So like you're probably most like, you know, how are you prying the first set of these other guys hands?
127:33Okay. 10 man league makes it a little bit easier to understand how this guy got so good.
127:39Yeah. So, uh, you know, I guess, you know what, where you guys are going, I'm, I'm, I'm kind of with all
127:46that, you know, I, you know, you can't, you can't just throw your hands up and, and completely surrender and be like,
127:52well, I'm just, you know, we just got to bide our time and wait.
127:57But like, you know, unfortunately what is, you know, Justin Jefferson, you know, if he bounces back and by the end of
128:03the year, do you try to sell him for a King's ransom?
128:07Yes. you know, Christian McCaffrey probably needs to be on the move and, you know, like, are you, are you guys trying
128:14to pare down to the point where you're trying to get the best draft picks you can get?
128:19Or are you just, are you just kind of, cause you're, this team seems like it could certainly get hot and win
128:26some first, second, third money, but it seems like you're probably most likely going to be middling.
128:31Yeah. That's, that's my, that's my point. And I don't want to, I don't want to be the one Oh six, one
128:38Oh seven with my best, my best asset, you know, age aging out and only worth that to my team or contender
128:44that I'll have to sell for 60% of what he's actually, what he's actually worth.
128:49I'd rather just let him die on my roster.
128:52But by doing that, I'm preventing myself from getting, you know, getting into the draft.
128:56I already don't have my first round pick. So I'm not getting a pre quote unquote premium asset or something that could
129:03get me another, you know, give me another good player.
129:06So it doesn't make a ton of sense to me to try to sell picks, to get out, to try to get
129:13out in front, to compete with that team. If football tells you that, Hey, it's our time, it's our year.
129:19Then you can make adjustments. You can do whatever and move things, you know, move things around, maybe move one of those younger assets, maybe move it.
129:27If he's, you know, if he's not, you know, if he's not 15 points a game, if he's like 11, you sell
129:34to a young team for, you know, I don't know.
129:37But right now I can't, I'm not, I'm not going all in.
129:41We talked about this last week, Casey, where I was like, where we were talking about one team.
129:46And I said, well, if I want to set a direction, I'm going to go buy Christian McCaffrey for this team.
129:52Cause I've got a few first round picks. I'll send a 27 first, but I think I'm a win money.
129:59It was going to win me money. And you were like, I might hold off on that.
130:04And I think there's merit to both ways that we were playing it.
130:08Sure. For this one, I have 1000% for this roster with the context of this league.
130:13I don't do that. Yeah. I wouldn't, I wouldn't sell any, any kind of, you know, any kind of first, any kind
130:19of capital in the next two years to try to get better.
130:23Unless I come out and I'm top three in points scored and I'm five and Oh, after five weeks or something like that.
130:30And, you know, just you're competing and your team is outperforming your expectations.
130:34Yeah. So to me, let's hunt for first. Let's try to figure that out.
130:38Let's, let's, let's, how can we do it? And if we can't, what we need to do is we need to turn our attention to the seconds.
130:46And we need to stockpile the seconds. If you can't get the first, then we're going to go after the twos and
130:53we, you know, we might have to, and then when shoot for, or 28 first, right?
130:58Cause like, Hey, it stinks. And it seems like the way the leagues built and stacks a couple of the crappy teams
131:05got some people's first and their attention is all turned to there.
131:08So it's like, Hey, if that's not working for you, turn your attention to the twos.
131:13I've had a ton of success stacking multiple twos in there.
131:17A, it helps you move around the draft. If you want, stop getting rid of your own picks, hold onto those for the most part.
131:24And you know, if you can get three, four, five second round picks, because people aren't as, as crazy about them because
131:31it's a second round pick and everyone's just eyeballing the first, then pivot to those seconds.
131:36And, and dude, there is so much value in seconds in second rounders in, in almost every draft, right?
131:42Uh, where, especially if you have the ability to be able to move around and pick the spots that you want to
131:48kind of be in, I think it's, I think that's a really, uh, just other way to kind of just slide under the surface.
131:56You got it. You got a decent, okay, little squad here.
131:59And your, your, your receiver room is, is where the bulk of your, um, you know, all your value is for the most part.
132:06And you should be able to get something from C dude.
132:10One of these contenders should, even if you don't sell now, one of these contenders should give you a first for CMC
132:16or, or like finding a way or like a young player and, and a, and a second and a third or something.
132:23So like right now I'm just, Hey, if you don't want to give me these high end picks, I'm just going to be squirreling away.
132:31All of these other little bits and pieces I can get my hands on and then move into the 28 first too.
132:37Cause it's like, like you guys said, this is gonna be a really tough sledding to get in here and, and, you
132:44know, smash your way into a, a, a winning spot with a couple of these teams, especially the top dog there.
132:51Um, and, and, you know, like you said, big co and, you know, Matthew Stafford and, and Christian McCaffrey, Rico Dowdle, Michael Pittman.
132:58Um, and even like, even if you have to pair like a Michael Pittman with, you know, even somebody like a, like
133:04a, like a Chris Bell or a, or a Josh Downs to, to, you know, kind of get a little bit of
133:11better value on what Pittman will give to somebody.
133:14Like that's okay. Like I'm, I'm going to probably, you don't, none of your tight ends are super valuable right now.
133:20So like, I'd, I'd be okay with just completely tearing down that room if I could, but like, you're not going to
133:27really get anything for those guys for the most part.
133:30So, um, that's what I'd be, be doing. And then in all those trades, when I'm doing that, like, I'm just going
133:37to be trying to acquire more and more kickers in those trades over the, you know, like Keaton Mitchell is just somebody
133:43who I always sticks in my head is like two years ago.
133:47And the last year where somebody who was, it'll be like, that'd be the kind of guy I'm always trying to go.
133:54Also in these deals, can I squeeze one more and just build out some depth to those kinds of guys that could
134:00increase in value, uh, pick up the random quarterbacks that we've been talking about.
134:05Right. Um, yeah. In there, get, get the, get the mill rows of the world, get the levices of the world, get
134:11the, you know, and maybe those guys aren't even rostered right now because this is a 10 team league.
134:17And, um, but you know, be able to just, just find, you gotta find ways to just win little value wars that,
134:24that could sit on your bench and increase in value.
134:27And then find ways to just like, I, like I said, the seconds, the second round pick right now would probably be
134:34where I'm going just because it seems like you're going to run into a lot of resistance of trying to get first
134:40outside of, for Christian McCaffrey from a contender. So, yeah, I like that, but like, especially like the Michael Pittman part, you
134:47tried, you could probably get a second and, uh, another wide receiver that was drafted in the late second, early third round this year for Pittman.
134:55And, you know, you could get, get, um, get a second round pick and, um, the wide receiver bills, you know, and
135:02who did the bills get Casey scholar? you know, you could get scholar bill and a second round pick for Pittman right now.
135:09So, you know, try, you can start stacking that kind of those kinds of trades up.
135:14Yeah. Like Trey, Trey Harris doesn't have a lot of value right now.
135:18He'd be somebody who I'd be, you know, when I'm getting to trying to get a deal done, I'd be trying to
135:24like, how, what's Trey, what's Trey Harris worth, um, to this particular fellow here.
135:29Right. Um, you know, what's your, what's your value on free here?
135:32Jack bash. Is it that this guy just has to happen to have him on his team?
135:37Like no value, but like that, that, that room's wide open, you know, that could be, he could be somebody who could increase.
135:44So like, yeah, I'm just going to be trying to find clever ways to just build value behind this.
135:50And then all of a sudden I'm gonna hop out and be like, surprise bitches.
135:55I'm here. All right. Let's wrap this one up.
135:57Uh, appreciate everybody. We will get to the questions that are left in this, in there, whether it's on a regular show or another stream this week.
136:06And worst case scenario, we'll be back next week.
136:08Please use the queue roster reviews on the way.
136:11Appreciate Chev and big co for sticking it out here.
136:14Um, if he's gone, come on this long, like a little, little clunky to start this week.
136:19Sorry about that. Um, I'll, I'll clean it up.
136:22I'll clean it up. I promise. Um, but make sure you're checking out the website.
136:27A lot of good tools, a lot of good stuff on their personal rankings and, uh, and the swipes and all that good deal.
136:34Appreciate all you guys out there. Uh, and everybody who participates in these live shows is certainly one of my favorite things we do.
136:41I look forward to the live show every week.
136:44Um, the only things I do get bummed about is when, well, you know, when I, when we trip it up a
136:51little bit from, from scene to scene or, um, you know, so eventually we'll get Jason's bum ass editing these while we're doing it.
136:58And I don't have to, I don't have to do it, but you know, got a lot of things we're working on at the FF dynasty.
137:06So everybody's doing wearing six hats right now. Um, so until next week, Casey, Jeff, big co.
137:11There you go. There's everybody. There they are. We'll see you.
137:15Peace. Alrighty. Hey, I want to thank you for being part of this broadcast.
