1:25We are focused on winning you your week two matchup.
1:28Before we do though, if you have any start sick questions or trade questions, let us know down below.
1:33And I will answer every single one in the comments to help you win your week.
1:38But let's jump in at number one for our top 24 running backs.
1:42This one should be obvious to everyone after what we saw last week.
1:45Jameer Gibbs, 156 yards, two touchdowns on the ground.
1:48Now he takes on the same Buffalo defense that just let David Montgomery hit Paydard three times.
1:53I'm not going to belabor the point he should be everybody's RB1.
1:57But at RB2, kind of think this one's obvious too.
1:59Look at what B. John Robinson did last week.
2:02Come on. The Bears, outside of scoring 59 points on the Carolina Panthers, also had 291 yards on the ground, which yes, that is not a typo.
2:10291 yards on the ground, plus six rushing touchdowns.
2:13Now they get to take on B. John Robinson.
2:15He's going to be an absolute monster here in week two and an obvious S tier guy.
2:20We're going to do our last S tier here though, and we're going to talk about Christian McCaffrey.
2:25I think this is where it gets a little bit interesting.
2:29I don't know if you can hear that in the background.
2:32Those are a little bit of the alarm bells going off and they're still in the distance, but we're starting to hear them a little bit.
2:39All of the talk last week about the workload split with Kalen Black.
2:43They each had 15 touches. McCaffrey's materializing into 10 for 68 on the ground with five catches for 20 yards.
2:49I'm not panicking, but if you want my honest reaction from week one, I think there's maybe a little bit of truth
2:56to Kyle Shanahan's comments in the offseason when he said they want to preserve CMC's health a little bit more.
3:01They want to make sure they weren't giving him the same volume that he had last year, which is close to 450 touches.
3:08With that being said, I don't care if Christian McCaffrey has 15 touches.
3:12He has five touches. He has 50 touches. I want to start him against the Miami Dolphins and I don't want to
3:18think twice about it, which is why he lands at number three in our S tier.
3:23But on to number four. This is a guy that I thought looked great and maybe the stat line your fantasy score
3:29didn't completely show it, but Saquon Barkley taking on the Tennessee Titans.
3:33I thought the whole offense kind of looked disjointed on Sunday despite coming out with the win.
3:38That being said, Saquon Barkley looked great. 5.5 a carry and route to 83 yards on the ground.
3:43No touchdown, but I think that's coming here. We just saw Breeze Hall tear up this Tennessee Titans defense along with the rest of the Jets.
3:51And as long as we see a little bit more passing work and hopefully a trip to the end zone, I think
3:57Saquon Barkley could be a lock to be a very solid RB1 this week.
4:01On to number five, though, we're breaking consensus a little bit here.
4:05To be honest, I have been surprised to see more people not having him higher after what we just saw.
4:11Derek Henry. I am certainly not changing my tune after we were egregiously above consensus last week.
4:16Then we see him get 144 yards on the ground, three touchdowns against Indianapolis.
4:20Now he gets the Saints who just allowed Jameer Gibbs those 156 yards in the pair of touchdowns I talked about.
4:26I'm firing up King Henry as a top five running back this week, and I'm not thinking twice about it.
4:32On to number six, though. Let's talk about Ashen Gentie.
4:35Ashen Gentie was the talk of the 4 p.m.
4:37window on Sunday. 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
4:40Obviously a much harder matchup here with the Chargers, but I think Gentie should be heavily involved no matter what the game
4:47script looks like, and especially if Bowers misses time again as well, which is what we expect right now.
4:52Gentie should continue to be the sole focus of this offense, and you should feel extremely good with him as you're running back one.
4:59At number seven, the man that just lit the NFL on fire on Monday night, Kenneth Walker.
5:04We just spent all offseason being like, what if Kenneth Walker is just like nasty with the Chiefs?
5:09And it turns out he is. 191 total yards, a pair of touchdowns, a lot of running backs with two touchdowns last week.
5:16Now he gets the Colts that just got absolutely gashed by Derek Henry, as we just mentioned.
5:21And one more explosive week, it's going to be very hard to keep Ken Walker out of my top five backs.
5:27At number eight, a guy we're a little bit lower on than consensus, which just seems to be a trend with us and Jonathan Taylor.
5:34He gets the Chiefs in prime time, Sunday night football.
5:37I think Jonathan Taylor got overshadowed in that game by how monstrous of a performance it was from Derek Henry.
5:43And people aren't really talking about what he did in the opener, which is 121 total yards, and you guessed it, like
5:50every other running back, a pair of touchdowns. I don't love the matchup here against Kansas City, especially after what we just saw on Monday night.
5:57But I think Jonathan Taylor cannot leave this top eight range.
6:00And to me, you know what? I'm moving him back into the A tier.
6:05On to number nine, though. We'll kick off the B tier with this guy.
6:09It's James Cook, who had a relatively quiet game in the Bills-Texans shootout.
6:12But I don't think you can keep Cook out of the kitchen for too long.
6:17I absolutely love this spot for him to get back on track.
6:20In his only full game against the Lions in his career, we saw him go for 105 on the ground and two
6:27touchdowns towards the end of the 2024 season. This is the guy who led the NFL in rushing last year.
6:33And I just, I can't expect him to stay quiet much longer.
6:36So put him in your lineup for Thursday Night Football and you're going to have a whole lot of fun.
6:42On to number 10, Devon Achan. Let's have a moment, just me and you, and let's talk about this.
6:47What are we going to do with Devon Achan?
6:50Listen, 3.3 yards per carry last week, 63 total yards, only 15 touches.
6:54Melo and I talked about it all summer. Our biggest fear was that Malik Willis wasn't going to be nearly as willing
7:00to dump it off to Achan like check down King Tua was in the past.
7:05And in week one, it kind of seemed to be the case.
7:08That being said, I doubt that we see Achan leave this one with only four catches.
7:13I think in what projects to be a negative game script, like we talked about in Monday's episode, we're going to see
7:19Achan get peppered with a lot more volume. And like I've been saying, you should be feeling really safe about having these guys as an RB1.
7:27I don't think you should be feeling safe about Devon Achan as an RB1, but you should be feeling like there's a
7:33very high ceiling for a guy that projects to get a lot of volume.
7:37On to number 11. This guy just week in, week out, so consistent.
7:41You always know what you're going to get out of Javante Williams.
7:45Not the most efficient game against the Giants, but still manages a pair of touchdowns with five catches and 72 total yards.
7:51I think this one, though, should be a really great spot for this offense to shine, taking on the Washington Commanders.
7:57We just saw Saquon, like I mentioned, average 5.5 a carry versus this Washington team.
8:02And Javante Williams, as he is almost every week, is just really profiling as a low-end RB1, high-end RB2.
8:07And he should just be consistent for you in that spot.
8:10You should feel really rock solid about what you're going to get out of Javante.
8:15At number 12, though, our final RB1. This guy is someone that Melo and I were so much lower on than consensus throughout the entire summer.
8:22But I have to say, I think everyone is crazy in the way they're overreacting to the week one performance.
8:28Amari and Hampton. He is going to be just fine.
8:31Justin Herbert is going to be just fine. Mike McDaniel is going to be just fine.
8:36This Chargers team is okay. I think the panic button is getting hit so hard because we saw a team that everyone
8:42was so excited about going into the year, taking on a team that everyone's been making jokes about.
8:48That should be a dumpster fire in the Arizona Cardinals.
8:50And they beat them. Because frankly, with the way that teams treat preseason now, week one is kind of just a preseason game.
8:57I think he's going to get right back on track.
9:00He should come out and be a low-end RB1 in this matchup.
9:04I don't think Vegas is a crazy difficult spot for him.
9:07Be confident putting Amari and Hampton in your starting lineup.
9:10At number 13, though, a guy that sometimes I'm not always the most confident putting in, especially not now because of the matchup, Chase Brown.
9:17I'm actually going to drop him into the C tier as we start off our RB2s.
9:22Solid week last week against Tampa Bay. Got you 13.8 points, but obviously not as efficient of a day as you would have hoped.
9:29As always, gets his job done in the passing game.
9:32And that's one of those things we love about Chase Brown and that Joe Burrow pass-happy offense.
9:37I talked about it a bit yesterday, but I just really don't like this matchup with Houston.
9:42I think a lot of people are reacting to what we saw last week with Buffalo.
9:46First of all, like I just said, it's week one.
9:49I treat it a lot of the time like preseason.
9:52And two, it was the Buffalo Bills. And it was Josh Allen.
9:56And Josh Allen is a wizard. I just think he profiles a lot closer to an RB2 than an RB1 for me.
10:02And so I had to drop him to 13, even though I know a lot of people do have Chase Brown as
10:08the running back one in their lineup. At number 14, though, fire me up with David Montgomery.
10:13Mello and I made the call last week that he was one of our favorite starts.
10:18Austin Eckler named him as a my guy on our show back in August.
10:22And he pops off for three touchdowns last week against Buffalo.
10:25Now he gets the Cincinnati defense that although they looked a little bit better last week, they still allowed a touchdown and 5.6 a carry to Bucky Irving.
10:34I would feel very, very confident having David Montgomery in your lineup as a solid RB2 with RB1 upside.

11:58You're welcome. At number 15, the main man in LA, at least for now, Kyron Williams.
12:02Kind of similar to the CMC convo about the workload split in the backfield.
12:06So much talk about Coram working in more than Kyron managers would have hoped.
12:11But we still see Kyron go out there. He gets the high value touches.
12:1511 carries for 41 yards. Gets the touchdown. He also has three catches on three targets.
12:19I think we're going to see a much more positive game script here against the Giants.
12:24And in that case, we're obviously going to see this team feed Kyron a lot more.
12:29And so I'm not concerning myself with the backfield split just yet.
12:32This Giants defense has been abysmal against the run dating back to last season.
12:36So I expect a pissed off Rams team to go off here.
12:40And Kyron Williams is going to be the engine behind that.
12:43And now at number 16, I don't think anyone has appeared in more trade questions in our comments than this guy.
12:49What do we do about DeAndre Swift? Who just absolutely exploded along with basically the entire rushing game for Chicago.
12:55We just saw them go off for 291 total rushing yards, six rushing touchdowns.
12:59And then you've got DeAndre Swift who had three of those.
13:02I think Swift is going to take a bit of a step back here against Minnesota.
13:07This is not as inviting of a run defense.
13:10I might have him a little bit low here.
13:12I think if you want to argue flipping him and Kyron, you could do that.
13:17But for me, I have him here at number 16.
13:19I'd still feel incredible about having him in my RB2 slot.
13:23At number 17, though, I'm really excited to see what we get this week out of Brees Hall.
13:28He looked phenomenal in week one, 102 on the ground with a touchdown.
13:32My gut reaction is we won't see a whole lot of positive game scripts for the Jets moving forward.
13:37That being said, Vegas already has the line out for this game against Green Bay, and the Jets are only three and a half point dogs.
13:45Even if the Jets trail for most of this game, if they can keep it close, it's going to be interesting to
13:51see if we get Brees a little bit more involved in the passing game.
13:55This Packers team just allowed 39 points to Carson Wentz and the Vikings.
13:59I think there's an opportunity for the Jets to have a better game than people think here in week two.
14:05On to number 18, though. Let's talk Travis H.
14:08And this is the one where the usage is actually pretty concerning to me.
14:12On the surface, you look at his nine carries for 46 yards and you say, okay, that's fine.
14:17They were trailing for so much of the game.
14:20Makes sense. He didn't get the ball on the ground a lot.
14:23Then it's kind of the Rowley meme from the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie where he looks down and you're like,
14:30oh my god, did Kendry Miller get nine carries too?
14:32Travis H. And is kind of the type of guy that all offseason I've just been staying away from.
14:38I haven't really liked him at his price. I think there's so many question marks around what's going on in that New Orleans running back room.
14:46And this just gave me so many flashing alarm bells.
14:49I'm trying not to overreact too much to week one, as I always advise.
14:53But maybe it's just me confirming my own priors.
14:55I have some worries around Travis H. And so I view him as a super fragile RB2 play.
15:01Hopefully we see a little bit more volume go his way in this one, though.
15:05On to number 19. The man that I guess for right now is the starting running back in Carolina, Chuba Hubbard.
15:11One of the biggest surprises to me in week one.
15:14We saw Jonathan Brooks get pretty limited work outside of that awesome 48-yard catch.
15:18Meanwhile, Chuba gets the bulk of the carries. Plus, I haven't said it in about five minutes.
15:23A pair of touchdowns. I think this split is going to get a little bit closer every week.
15:28I also think this is a little bit tougher of a matchup, obviously, than Chicago.
15:33But I still think Chuba's worth slotting in as a riskier RB2.
15:36At number 20. This guy is someone I just...
15:39I had so many fears about over the offseason and now I'm just so excited for.
15:43That is Jadarian Price. He goes 10 for 52, plus two catches.
15:47I thought it was a really, really great debut against the Patriots.
15:50Two things are true here, though. It seems like a heavy dose of Helani is a real thing, as we also saw him get eight carries.
15:58But the other side is that Jadarian Price is just awesome.
16:01He looked explosive. He was firing out of the gate every time he got the ball.
16:06Now he gets this Arizona defense that I know they looked relatively stout against Amari and Hampton, but I just think things
16:12are going to regress a little bit. And this isn't as good of a defense as we saw in week one against
16:19the Chargers, who were maybe just a little bit disoriented out there.
16:22So I like Jadarian Price in this spot. I think he's got a little bit more upside than where we have him ranked.
16:29At 21, though, a guy that Melo kind of made his call not to start.
16:33I said it was worth the start. The result was like you were happy you started him, but it wasn't the greatest game.
16:40That's Jeremiah Love, who I'm going to slot in as the last D-tier guy here.
16:45He hits Paydirt in game one, which was absolutely awesome.
16:47Ends up getting the first touchdown of the game, which was cool.
16:51But besides that, pretty quiet. We saw him take 11 carries for 41 yards.
16:55The big issue, though, and the one we've been talking about all summer, Tyler Algier, 17 carries for 61.
17:01My stance on this is that Jeremiah Love is going to break out.
17:04Just not yet. As he battles this timeshare, he's coming back from the high ankle sprain and, of course, a really stingy Seattle run defense.
17:12He is okay to start, but I just wouldn't be expecting these big explosive games out of love just yet.
17:18At number 22, someone I was very critical of all summer, that's Bucky Irving.
17:22And I have to admit, he had a great week one.
17:25He looked awesome. 93 total yards and a touchdown.
17:27It's going to be interesting to see if he can keep this up going into the game against Cleveland this weekend.
17:34But game scripts should be in their favor. So Bucky should actually have the opportunity to see a lot more carries.
17:40He only had eight in their first game. I'm not feeling super confident against the Cleveland run defense, but if Bucky hits
17:46the end zone again, he could be in for another really good RB2 finish.
17:50At number 23, Cam Scadaboo, who absolutely crushed on Sunday night, hits the end zone, hits a flip, lands it.
17:5618 carries. And so I think there were some question marks around, you know, is Tyron Tracy going to work in?
18:02How much is Najee Harris going to work in?
18:05Interestingly enough, it was Devin Singletary that was the biggest thorn in his side that night.
18:10But to me, he's the uncontested RB1 in this lineup.
18:12Rams are obviously a tougher matchup. I'm going to be talking a little bit about Jackson Dart and his outlook later on today in a brand new episode.
18:21But game script not going to be in their favor the way it was against Dallas.
18:25It's hard to imagine he gets another 18 carries, but he did a lot with them the other night.
18:31Hopefully he can do that again and at least give you a pretty decent RB2 finish.
18:36Let's finish it off with a guy that I don't know if anyone is too, too excited to talk about.
18:41Ramondre Stevenson. It almost feels disrespectful putting him in that same tier with Bucky Irving.
18:46Obviously, if you watched opening night, Ramondre like literally looked like he was running through quicksand.
18:50That being said, slightly more inviting matchup with the Steelers here than he got in Seattle.
18:55I'm going to talk about the positives around Ramondre though, because I think the whole internet conversation around him was extremely negative.
