PositiveUsage33:59

Brock Bowers returned from injury with an elite 93.2% route participation and a massive 39.4% target share in Week 3, resulting in 116 yards and a touchdown.

Insight page
PositiveUsage33:59

Returning from meniscus surgery, Brock Bowers saw an immediate, massive workload with 78.6% of snaps, 93.2% of routes, and a 39.4% target share, resulting in 10 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeDepth Chart45:37

Khalif Raymond's emergence in the Bears' offense is coming at the expense of Colston Loveland's fantasy value.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveProjection1:42

Drake London is a locked-in top-12 fantasy asset with Michael Penix starting, with top-8 upside; he commanded a 36% target share in Week 3, catching all nine targets for 194 yards.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeBust14:14

Drake Maye is struggling with decision-making and pressing under pressure, leading to poor efficiency metrics (31st in adjusted YPA, 29th in EPA); he should be avoided in starting lineups for now.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

PositiveUsage2:25

Harold Fannin returned to his high-usage role in Week 3, commanding a 30% target share (nine targets, two TDs); while 30% is likely unsustainable, low-20s target share is realistic and sufficient for high-end TE production.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveRole25:19

Jalen Warren dominated the Steelers' backfield in Week 3 (90.3% snaps, 91.3% opportunities) in the absence of Rico Dowdle; he is a high-end RB2 while Dowdle is out and may earn a larger share long-term.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveRole39:06

Jeremiah Love has taken over the Cardinals' backfield, moving from a split role to 64% of snaps and 81.3% of backfield opportunities in Week 3. He is now considered a top-12 running back for the season.

Insight page

Josh Downs

PositiveUsage11:41

Josh Downs is seeing an upward trend in usage, running 80.5% of routes with a 27.8% target share in Week 3; he is a solid WR2 option for fantasy lineups.

Insight page

Kalif Raymond

PositiveValue43:45

Khalif Raymond has emerged as a consistent fantasy option for the Bears, averaging 15.5 PPR points per game with a 21.4% target share. He should be rostered in all 12-team leagues.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

PositiveBreakout8:24

Kenyon Sadiq capitalized on increased opportunity with a 22.2% target share (32% target rate) in Week 3, totaling 105 yards and a TD; he is a viable TE1 option while teammates are injured and potentially beyond.

Insight page

Konata Mumpfield

PositiveSleeper40:45

With Puka Nacua injured, Kanata Mumpfield saw significant usage (73.3% snaps, 75.4% routes) and produced 93 yards and a touchdown. He is now a player to monitor and a potential deep-league flex start.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeProjection35:56

Kyler Murray's performance in his first full start was disappointing, yielding only 10.42 fantasy points and limited rushing production (17 yards). He is now viewed as a top-16 quarterback rather than a top-12 option, and starting him next week is questionable.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

PositiveRole0:19

Michael Penix provides a significant upgrade over previous Falcons quarterbacks, enabling a more competent offense and running game; his ability to attack downfield windows creates space for pass catchers.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeInjury40:45

Puka Nacua is dealing with a potential sports hernia injury, with surgery currently on the table as an option, which may lead to an extended absence.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveUsage29:15

Terry McLaurin is a must-start while Marcus Mariota is at QB, as Mariota has a proven track record of favoring him; McLaurin commanded a 29% target share in Week 3.

Insight page

Tre Harris

PositiveBreakout5:07

Trey Harris is ascending in the Chargers' offense, leading the wide receivers with a 20.6% target share in Week 3; he is a strong bench stash who may soon overtake Quinton Johnston for playing time.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

NegativeUsage12:35

Tyler Warren is an every-down player (90%+ snaps/routes) with a 27.8% target share, but his fantasy value is capped by low-impact targets close to the line of scrimmage.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveBreakout31:54

Zay Flowers is a top-5 WR candidate rest-of-season; despite limited snaps in Week 3, he maintained a 30% target share on his routes and is the focal point of the Ravens' passing game.

Insight page
PositiveProjection33:36

Zay Flowers is currently in competition to be a top-five wide receiver for the remainder of the season, as the entire Ravens passing game is designed to get him the ball in various ways as frequently as possible.

0:00What is going on everybody? Welcome to another episode of Press Coverage.
0:04We help you gain an edge in fantasy football.
0:06I'm your host as always, Wyatt Bertalone. It's time to talk about Week 3.
0:11I'm back to giving you a note about every single game from Week 3.
0:15Let's jump right into it. The first game was the Falcons versus the Packers.
0:19Note here, Michael Penix returns. What else would we talk about?
0:23Because it's a big deal that he came back because while he's been gone, the quarterback play for the Falcons has been absolutely dreadful.
0:30Now, Michael Penix is no great quarterback himself, not yet at least, but he's a significant upgrade over what they had already.
0:37It just makes the offense actually be able to be competent, do things that Kevin Stefanski is trying to do.
0:43You know, like they can actually have a competent running game because the defense has to worry about the fact that Michael
0:49Penix can chuck it downfield and attack certain windows the other QBs could not.
0:54It frees up space for the running backs. It makes the pass catchers be better.
0:58Even just average QB play, such a significant upgrade over what they had.
1:02And the big thing that happened in this game was, well, we got the return of Drake London being a really high-end fantasy asset.
1:10In this game, we know his role is fantastic in terms of how much he's playing, 93% snaps.
1:15He ran every single route. But with Michael Penix, it's been the same every time.
1:20Really, really high target share, really high usage as long as Penix is playing in this game.
1:2536% target share. He had nine targets. He caught all of them for 194 yards, 28.4 PPR points.
1:30Fantastic day. As long as Michael Penix is starting, Drake Lennon is locked and loaded top 12.
1:36And we can talk about just how high up that top 12 he really is.
1:40Top 8, I think, is absolutely in line with what he can do with Michael Penix.
1:45The next game, Browns vs. the Panthers. And Harold Fannin got back on track in a big way in this game.
1:51To start the season, Denzel Boston, Casey Concepcion were really making their mark in this offense.
1:56And were commanding a large part of the target share.
1:59Harold Fannin was getting used some, but just not quite as much as we're used to.
2:04In this game, he kind of got back to the usage that we're used to from him last year.
2:10He played 85.7% of snaps. Only 68.8% of the routes, which is actually a little bit lower for him.
2:16But his usage on those routes was really high.
2:19So it kind of leveled that out. He had a 30% target share in this game.
2:23Nine targets, seven catches, 51 yards, two touchdowns. That's 24.1 PPR points.
2:27Now, I would not expect 30% target share week in, week out from Harold Fannin.
2:32But low 20s, you know, would be back in line with what he was doing as a rookie.
2:37And would be plenty for him to be a high-end fancy tight end again.
2:41And I do think that can be realistic. Because I think basically the entire pass game is consolidating to Fannin, Concepcion, Boston.
2:48And that's the way it should be. And with Deshaun Watson playing better than most expected, better than anyone expected, still not great necessarily.
2:56But it's better, you know, and it's enough that, you know, one to two Browns pass catchers a game is actually coming
3:02out with a pretty good stat line. So, next game is the Chargers versus the Bills.
3:07And I'm noticing that Trey Harris was kind of the leader there in the pass game for the Chargers in this game.
3:14Trey Harris, a prospect that I liked at cost coming into the NFL.
3:18Some of his production could be, you know, kind of excused away by the type of offense he played in college.
3:24Where it made it really easy on the wide receiver.
3:27But this is a dude who averaged over five yards per outrun in his final season in college.
3:33And, like, you can't do that without having a certain amount of talent.
3:37So, I thought, you know, he was a pretty good prospect.
3:40A little bit worried about the landing spot just because it was so crowded.
3:44Like, I didn't know how quickly he could ascend.
3:47But it seems like he is ascending in that offense right now.
3:51Possibly taking over Quinton Johnston. Snaps and route share still a little lacking.
3:5558% of the snaps. 68.4% route share. Both of those were third among the wide receivers.
4:00Ladd McConkie and Quinton Johnston were both ahead of him in terms of actual playing time.
4:04But he had the number one target share amongst the wide receivers with 20.6.
4:0920.6% target share isn't anything amazing. But it is a pretty darn good target share for Trey Harris.
4:14He ended up with seven targets. Caught six of them.
4:1776 yards. 13.6 PPR points. It's a fine day for a player like Trey Harris.
4:22But Quinton Johnson has not been playing well. Would not be surprising to me if Trey Harris takes him over and starts
4:29getting more playing time in this offense. And if he does, you know, he is worth being on your bench.
4:35He's debatably worth being on your bench right now, depending on the size of your league.
4:40Also worth noting, though, that the Charters offense has been pretty dreadful.
4:43So I don't know how many fancy relevant players we're actually going to get from week to week, especially in the passing game.
4:50Uh, we do know that it really is still Ladd McConkie first and foremost, and then we'll see after that.
4:56Uh, but if they can get back on track, we could, you know, wouldn't surprise anybody if they have two relevant pass catchers in fantasy.
5:04Uh, next is the Jets versus the Lions. And we've got to talk about Kenyon Sadiq stepping up in this game.
5:10So the Jets are missing Adni Mitchell, uh, missing Mason Taylor and Omar Cooper has been out since week one.
5:17So it was basically down to Garrett Wilson and Kenyon Sadiq.
5:20Kenyon Sadiq, I wrote about in my weekly usage report after week one, how I thought the usage was really interesting, how they got him on the field.
5:28And I thought it could trend upwards because obviously he's a first round pick, incredible athletes, and you'd expect that usage to, to trend up.
5:36And usually rookie tight ends can start a little slow.
5:39The fact that he got, got, got that interesting usage in week one made me excited for what was to come.
5:46And in this game, when they needed help at, at a pass catching position, he did that.
5:51Now the snaps, the routes, we're still working on that.
5:54Uh, that's going to be the case with some players like this.
5:57Like we've already talked about with some of these other players, uh, but you expected to trend up a little bit, but
6:04you love the usage on the routes and snaps.
6:07So he played 57%, 57.6% of snaps, 58.1% of the routes, but had 22.2% target share on those routes.
6:13That is a 32% target rate, which is absurd for a tight end.
6:17And he really did great work with them. He had eight targets on the day, caught seven of them, 105 yards and a touchdown.
6:24The touchdown was an incredible play by him. Also awesome throw by Geno Smith.
6:28Who's if we're being honest, kind of dealing right now for the jets, which you love to see.
6:34So it was a fantastic day for Kenyon Sadiq.
6:37As long as there's injuries around him, I would, you know, be projecting him to be a tight end one and a
6:43performance like this shows that he is capable of a workload like this in the offense, which might kind of lend to
6:50the coaching staff, actually giving him more and more opportunities.
6:53And maybe it doesn't even matter when all these other players are healthy.
6:57Kenyon Sadiq might be able to produce at a tight end one level.
7:01Next is the Texans versus the Colts. And we have no Alec Pierce in this game as he re-injured his heel.
7:07I thought it was going to be interesting to see what happens with the pass catchers for the Colts without Alec Pierce,
7:14because he's a pretty vital part of the offense in the way he helped take the top off of the defense and
7:21was one of the first pass catchers up when it came to target share.
7:25What we got was what you hope that an offense does in a situation like this is that they kind of just consolidate the targets.
7:33So Josh Downs played 67.6% of the snaps. He ran 80.5% of the routes, which you love to see for Downs.
7:39He had 27.8% target area. Josh Downs, the ascension is happening for us.
7:43This has been a trend. He's been playing more snaps.
7:46He's been running more routes, and he's getting those targets.
7:49Keenan Allen played more, got more. 73.2% of the snaps.
7:5275.6% of the routes. Got a 25% target share.
7:55Then Tyler Warren, we know he's an every down player.
7:58He's playing over 90% of the snaps and routes.
8:01He had a 27.8% target share as well. One problem for Tyler Warren right now is that everything is really close to the line of scrimmage.
8:09So they're low impact targets that he's getting, but he's getting so many of them.
8:13He's getting so many catches that he's still doing fine for us.
8:17And then Laquan Treadwell actually played a lot of snaps, ran a lot of routes, but he was purely running clear routes basically.
8:24Just for the love of the game, he's out there just eating snaps, taking a corner back deep so everyone else can work.
8:31Not worried about that there. They have Darius Slayton now.
8:34Darius Slayton projects to do a similar thing to Laquan Treadwell.
8:37If he gets on the field over him, I'm not even sure if he does.
8:42It doesn't really matter to me. It comes down to Josh Downs, Keenan Allen, Tyler Warren.
8:47You're already starting Tyler Warren wherever you have him.
8:50Josh Downs is a solid wide receiver too, and Keenan Allen's a flex play now.
8:54Next game is the Patriots versus the Jaguars. And we got to talk about what's happened with Drake Maye because it's not looking good right now.
9:02It's certainly not looking like the quarterback we watched ascend to almost being an MVP in his second season last year.
9:09And for me, watching Drake May play, it's a little bit of what we saw in college that was like the one
9:15knock I think you could really have for him.
9:18Because I thought Drake May was an astounding prospect.
9:21I thought he was really good. But the one thing, the one problem for him was sometimes when things aren't working out
9:27quite around him, he tends to press and try to become Superman to a point where he's making mistakes and he's not
9:34seeing things anymore and he tries to force it in places where it shouldn't go and he just needs to settle in
9:41and take what the defense is giving him and he has trouble doing that sometimes when I think he's feeling pressed to really make a play.
9:49And entering into week two, he was 31st among QBs in adjusted yards per attempt.
9:53He was 29th in EPA. And then in week three, he goes out, throws two interceptions, loses another fumble, has bad day.
10:00Like Drake May is having a rough time right now.
10:03Now, I think Drake May is really good. So I think this is going to come back around.
10:09But I wouldn't be auto locking him to my lineup right now if I have Drake May.
10:14I'm not dropping you either. I just, I'd easily be looking on my free agency wire to think like, all right, is
10:21there a QB that I feel pretty good about this next week instead of like taking the risk on Drake May or
10:27the way he's playing right now, the way the offense is playing right now.
10:32It really does kind of seem like despite the Patriots seemingly making upgrades to the pass catchers, the pass catchers aren't lining
10:38up in the way that they did for him in 2025.
10:42Obviously not having AJ Brown is hurting him right now.
10:45But you know, Romeo Dobbs is a good pass catcher.
10:48Not in the level of like Stefan Diggs he had last year, but everyone else there is basically still the same.
10:54So I don't know. They're definitely having trouble on offense.
10:57I think Drake May will be fine eventually. Uh, but right now I'm trying to avoid actually starting him.
11:03Uh, next game is the Chiefs versus the Dolphins and Devana Chan, unfortunately left this game with a torn ACL done for the year.
11:10Uh, in his absence, we had Ali Gordon was the only running back to play a snap after that.
11:16Now Jalen Wright was not healthy for this game.
11:19So that helps explain a little bit of why Ali Gordon played as much as he did, uh, in that game, Ali
11:26Gordon got 17 carries only 41 yards, did score a touchdown, got three targets, caught all three of them just for 14 yards.
11:33Again, 14.1 PPR points held up by that touchdown.
11:35The efficiency was pretty darn terrible, but the role was good.
11:39I mean, you got 20 opportunities here, which you would take every day of the week if you could for your running backs, right?
11:46Um, I think it won't be quite as simple as he will have the entire backfield to himself because Jalen Wright is
11:53going to be there and I wouldn't expect them to give an entire running back the entire backfield like that anyways, especially
11:59not one of Ali Gordon's caliber, but I do think he is going to be the one leading the backfield because frankly,
12:06I don't think Jalen Wright's a very good running back.
12:09Uh, it's really awful vision. He's a good athlete, but that's about it.
12:13But Ali Gordon, I think is at least better at playing the running back position despite not being as explosive as Jalen Wright is.
12:21But this is also an offense. That's not one that we want to be invested in too much.
12:26I would say on projectable volume, he, Ali Gordon is maybe a low end running back too, but there's like no ceiling here.
12:33So it's hard to get too excited. If you're really struggling at running back dealing with injuries or, you know, you went
12:40zero RB and those zero RB targets aren't working.
12:42I would be down to splash a good amount of my waiver wire money on Ali Gordon, 35%, uh, just because I
12:49do think he's actually going to be, you know, 50 to five to 60% of the backfield opportunities for the rest of the season.
12:57And that might be 11 PPR points per game, but like, I'm sure there are some teams out there who could really
13:03use 11 PPR points per game in their RB2 position.
13:06Uh, next teams or game we got here is the Titans versus the Giants.
13:11And we had our first really relevant day from Cardinal Tate, uh, so far in his rookie season.
13:16He played 88.3% of snaps, 97.2% of routes. That's no surprise.
13:19He's been doing this. He's a full-time player for them, but he had 25% target share on that nine targets caught six
13:26of them, 58 yards, 11.8 PPR points. So it's, I mean, it's not a great day, but you know, it's the first
13:33day we're like, okay, if I had this in my lineup, like I wouldn't be mad, you know, if I had to
13:40start Cardinal Tate, uh, I still think that Cam Ward is pretty bad right now and that the offense isn't doing him
13:46too many favors, but Cardinal Tate is really talented.
13:49So it's possible that his talent shines through enough that we get something really good from him in this season, at least
13:56good enough to be starting on a weekly basis.
13:58I don't think we're there yet, but I thought it wasn't worth noting that he is trending up right now, despite the
14:05offense being as bad as and Cam Ward being as bad as he is right now.
14:10Now I'm only halfway through the games. So I've obviously got the last half of the games to go, but before we
14:17do, we're going to hear about the player rankings on playerprofiler.com.
14:20You know, I get asked, is AI ruining fantasy sports?
14:23And the answer is absolutely not. We've had consensus rankings available for a long time, but people subscribe to the player rankings
14:30at playerprofiler.com for super flex, tight end premium, best ball, even like offensive line rankings.
14:35Of course, your rookie rankings, your dynasty rankings, those are all available in the ranking service for playerprofiler.com password protected.

15:04Also to go with this episode, you can check out my weekly usage report.
15:08It drops every Monday on playerprofiler.com where I go over my top 10 usage trends from the week.
15:13I think it goes hand in hand with the show to help you get ready for the following week.
15:19So our next game on the menu is the Bengals versus the Steelers.
15:23And we got to talk about Jalen Warren without Rico Dottle because believe it or not, this is Jalen Warren's first game
15:30in his NFL career where the other running back in the backfield he's been sharing with has not been healthy.
15:36So before we had Najee Harris, Najee Harris was the picture of health.
15:40Never missed a game. Last year was Kenneth Gainwell.
15:43Kenneth Gainwell never missed a game. So this is the first time we actually got to see Jalen Warren have a backfield to himself.
15:50And it was interesting to see how much of that backfield to actually go to because Jalen Warren's always been this running back.
15:57He actually does have real size for the position.
16:00He's 215 pounds, so he can handle a workload.
16:02He's short, but he's stocky. And he's always been really efficient on his touches.
16:07So we want to see, like, is he going to, you know, be able to bring that efficiency forward as the touches go up?
16:14And how many touches are the Steelers willing to give him?
16:17And it turns out they're willing to give him a whole lot because he played 90.3% of the snaps.
16:23He got 91.3% of the backfield opportunities. He had 11.8% target share.
16:27He also entered the game injured, so it's incredible that he even got that workload for them.
16:32And then he performed really well with them, had a few breakaway plays, really showing off his ability.
16:38And, I mean, he looked great, right? Like, this is what anyone who's been a fan of Jalen Warren has been, like,
16:44wishing for this or just hoping for him to get a bigger workload because we knew that he had this kind of
16:51potential, which is awesome to see it come to fruition.
16:54So as long as Rico Dowdle is missing time, it looks like the Steelers are just going to rely on Jalen Warren
17:01and not worry about anybody else in the backfield.
17:03Like, he's going to get a few breathers throughout the game, but that's it, basically.
17:08And this is his backfield through and really like a high-end RB2 as long as Rico Dowdle is out.
17:14So if you got him on your team, you've really got a winner here that you're able to now plug in.
17:20Rico Dowdle is obviously going to be coming back at some point, and I imagine when he does, this is probably going back to a 50-50-ish split.
17:29But, you know, it's worth noting, we don't really know what Rico Dowdle is going to look like when he first gets back.
17:36It may take a little bit for that actually to come back where it's getting back to 50-50.
17:41And we do have to leave some room on the table for the fact that if Jalen Warren's just better than Rico
17:48Dowdle, which, personally, I think he is, the Steelers do give him a little bit more of the backfield, and he remains pretty darn startable.
17:55Next game, Seahawks versus the Commanders, and Terry McLaurin gets back on track in this game.
18:00I love to see that because Terry McLaurin was a player that I was talking up a good bit this offseason.
18:07Even though he had a down year in 2025, the underlying metrics were still looking pretty darn good, so I was excited for Terry McLaurin.
18:14And he actually has a proven track record with Marcus Mariota, where when Marcus Mariota is playing, he tends to favor McLaurin
18:21more than anybody else, even more so than Jane Daniels does.
18:24And McLaurin had a good game here. 75.4% of snaps, 88.6% of the routes, 29% target share.
18:30That ended up giving him nine targets. He caught six of them, 77 yards, and a touchdown, 19.7 PPR points.
18:36Love to see it. As long as Mariota's starting, I'm starting Terry McLaurin.
18:40When Jane Daniels get back, I'm going to keep starting Terry McLaurin.
18:43I just really like seeing him get back on track here.
18:47Stephon Diggs was taking a good part of the offense.
18:50I still think Terry McLaurin and Stephon Diggs can actually survive together, especially with Chica Conquo out.
18:55And Tony Williams is trying to come up, but he's still a part-time player.
18:59But really excited for Terry McLaurin right now, especially with Marcus Mariota.
19:03Like I said, it's been shown before that Marcus Mariota does favor him much more than the other pass catchers on the
19:10team, so we can count on that. Next is the Ravens versus the Cowboys.
19:14Zay Flowers, man, this is wild. So it didn't seem like Zay Flowers was really going to come back this game.
19:20Then as Sunday was coming, it sounds like, okay, now he's actually a game-time decision, but they're also going to this field
19:27where we're kind of worried about what the field's going to look like.
19:31Does it even make sense for him to play in this game?
19:35And then what he did in this game is honestly absurd.
19:38He only played 32.8% of the snaps. He did end up running 63.6% of the routes, though, which is crazy for that.
19:45So basically, if he's on, he's running a route.
19:47And then he got a 30% target share on those routes.
19:51So basically, if he's running a route, he's probably getting a target.
19:54And then he produced with it six targets, five catches, 84 yards.
19:58They also gave him a carry that he went for another 20 yards.
20:02He ends up with 15.4 PPR points on the day.
20:05And this is something I wrote about in my usage report.
20:08I talked about after week one that Zay Flowers' role is incredible.
20:12Another player that I was talking about this offseason where really good player.
20:16We just like if this role gets any better with this new coaching staff, like we could see a really high end fantasy season from him.
20:24And that's exactly what's happening. The entire pass game is built around how can we get Zay Flowers the ball in different ways and as much as possible.
20:33And he's just crushing with like Zay Flowers is legitimately in competition to be a top five wide receiver rest of season.
20:39Next is the Raiders versus the Saints. We got Brock Bowers returning this game from the meniscus cleanup.
20:45And they did not take it slow with Brock Bowers at all.
20:48And he absolutely crushed 78.6% of the snaps, 93.2% of the routes.
20:52He had a 39.4% target share. Absurd. That goes to 13 targets, 11 catches, excuse me, 10 catches, 116 yards, one touchdown, 27.6 PPR points.
21:00Amazing day for Brock Bowers. No surprise that he put up an incredible performance.
21:04A little bit surprised that he went from surprise surgery right before the season that we didn't know about, missing two weeks,
21:11and then gets back on the field and he's just completely fine.
21:14I think we all probably had a little bit of PTSD from last year where he gets injured in week one, tries
21:21to play through it when he shouldn't, ends up finally taking the time off.
21:25When he comes back, he's still a little bit slow.
21:28Not quite as his normal level, but here we are.
21:31He's looking incredible. And in this Clint Kubiak offense, Clint Kubiak's doing the same thing for Brock Bowers as he's doing for JSN.
21:38They're different players. They're not doing the exact same role, but the whole offense is built around similar to Zay Flowers.
21:45How can we get Brock Bowers the ball in different, unique ways so he can dominate?
21:50And that's exactly what happened here and what I expect to continue to happen for the rest of the season.
21:56Vikings versus Buccaneers. So this was basically Kyler Murray's first real full start for them because in the first game, he played
22:03very little before picking up a concussion and leaving that game.
22:06Doesn't play week two, comes back for week three.
22:09This first start, pretty rough. Gotta be honest. 15-29 for 168 yards.
22:12One touchdown, one interception. Only ran twice for 17 yards.
22:1510.42 fantasy points. He's also sacked three times. This is bad.
22:19It's just straight up. I mean, you do have to put a little bit of, you know, credence to the fact that
22:26Justin Jefferson missed most of this game after picking up an injury early in the game.
22:30And obviously that sucks for the quarterback and that's going to make things harder on him.
22:35But you still have Jordan Addison, who's a good wide receiver.
22:39TJ Hawkinson is, you know, a fine tight end.
22:41Jawan Jennings is, you know, not nobody. But he's just, this isn't enough, you know, from Kyler Murray.
22:47Kyler Murray is a quarterback that I was into this offseason.
22:50And I know he has his deficiencies. But for fantasy, he's normally still fine.
22:54Because he can do enough as a passer. And he gives you some rushing.
22:59Just the 17 yards rushing is really disappointing for him.
23:02I hope we see more of that. If he's not going to be running, like, this is bad news for Kyler Murray.
23:09And I am worried based off of this start.
23:11It's too bad of a performance to me be like, oh, you know, it's just this.
23:16Like, we can still start him next week. I probably would not be starting Kyler Murray next week if he's on my team.
23:23Depends on your other options, obviously. But, like, I think he's definitely closer to, like, top 16 as opposed to top 12.
23:30So you actually have to think about it. Worth noting, though, the Vikings still had a 58% pass rate with Kyler Murray.
23:37Which is good to see that they're still keeping up that high pass rate for the offense.
23:42It's just, we love to see that for our QBs and their pass catchers.
23:46Next is the Cardinals versus the 49ers. And we got to see the Jeremiah Love takeover in this game.
23:52To start the season, him and Tyler Algier were splitting the backfield fairly evenly.
23:56And that did make a little bit of sense.
23:59You know, rookie running back. He's also coming off an ankle injury entering the season.
24:03But in week three, it was just his backfield.
24:06Before week three, he had 41.6% of snaps, 49.1% of the backfield opportunities.
24:10But in week three, 64% of snaps, 81.3% of the backfield opportunities.
24:14He had 21 carries, 90 yards, had another five targets, caught them all, 19 yards.
24:18And a touchdown, 21.9 PPR points in the day.
24:21Easily top 12 running back across the season. And how far up that top 12 we can have a conversation about at this point.
24:29Because this role will be awesome for him. And the Cardinals offense is good.
24:33You know, they are a competent offense. They're a good offense.
24:36They're a well-coached team right now. They're kind of rolling.
24:39They're playing well, right? Like better than people expected.
24:42So Jeremiah Love is in a great spot right now.
24:45Next is the Rams versus the Broncos. And we're kind of on Kanata Mumpfield watch right now.
24:50Because Pukudukua is not healthy. Sounds like he could have a sports hernia injury.
24:54That's what it sounds like. And it sounds like surgery is on the table as a potential option for him right now.
25:01And he could have to miss more time. Also in this game, Terrence Ferguson picked up an ankle injury.
25:07Tried to play through it. Looks like he tweaked it again.
25:10We'll have to figure out how he's doing. So basically, it's after Devontae Adams.
25:15There isn't a whole lot left in this offense of actual talented pass catchers.
25:19So like in this game, Tyler Higbee had to step up for some.
25:23But also stepping up was Kanata Mumpfield. He played 73.3% of the snaps, 75.4% of the routes.
25:28He had a 14.5% target share, which is not a lot.
25:31But the Rams are a team who are going to have a high-paced, efficient offense.
25:36And Mumpfield turned that into eight targets, four catches, 93 yards, and a touchdown.
25:40So he had a good day, you know. I'm not going to expect him to have a good day like this week in, week out while Puka's gone.
25:49But he is at least now on the radar of, like, we have to keep in mind that he exists.
25:55And he might be somebody that we think about picking up in the future.
25:59And, like, if there is another injury on this offense, or if, like, Terrence Ferguson is not playing next week, like a
26:06Mumpfield is legitimately someone you might have to start thinking about.
26:09So, uh, and maybe even if you're in desperation mode, deep leagues, something you might take a flyer on actually starting him
26:16in your flex spot if you are just looking for that surprise boom in your lineup because Mumpfield is going to be doing some stuff down the field.
26:25And the last game to talk about is the Eagles versus the Bears.
26:28Khalif, Raymond might be here to stay. Uh, I don't know if I fully believe it.
26:33And I can't believe I'm even saying anything about it out loud or thinking it, but dude has been really good so far for the Bears this season.
26:42And he's playing a good amount. And he's playing 65.6% of snaps.
26:46He's running 69.6% of the routes. And FYI, everyone else on the Bears, they're not running that much more than that because
26:52Colson, Love, and Luther Byrd, and Roman Dunes, they're all kind of rotating a little bit.
26:57But, so, while Khalif Raymond's route share doesn't seem that high, uh, none of the other players' route shares are that high on this team.
27:05And he has a 21.4% target share, which is second on the team right now.
27:09And he's playing really well with it. He has a 15, he's averaging 15.5 PPR points per game.
27:15I mean, we legitimately have to think that flexing him is a real option.
27:19He probably should be rostered everywhere in your normal 12 team leagues.
27:23Uh, I, I can't believe it, but it's hard to deny what's actually happening.
27:27The Bears are running a really fast-paced offense. They're running a lot of plays.
27:31And they're passing at a high rate. And Khalif Raymond is a big part of it right now.
27:37Can't believe it. It's coming at the cost of Colston Loveland, uh, in my opinion, which sucks for everyone who was in
27:44on Colston Loveland this year like I was. But this does seem to be real, real enough that he should be rostered.
27:50Because while I'm not sure he's going to keep up this production all season long, if anything was to happen to any
27:57of the other pass catchers and they pick up an injury, you'd have to imagine.
28:02Khalif Raymond's going to be one of the people who picks up a little bit of slack.
28:07But that's going to do it for this episode of Press Carver.
