0:00Rashi Rice is out of prison. Vlad Maki's got a bum hamstring that is going to hold him out until training camps.
0:06Stefan Diggs still not signed. Debo Samuel still not signed. Coupe, that's a bit of a strange one to me. Why Why is
0:13DVO Samuel still not signed? I I know why why Diggs isn't. I mean, are we at that stage of of Debo's career?
0:19>> You know, it could be I felt like there was a another shoe drop situation with Diggs where it was like people were
0:26looking around and saying, >> "Right, >> is he in trouble? Is he not? Let's wait and see what happens there, right?
0:31Because the moment it was announced that he's not in trouble, all of a sudden, oh, there goes Jawan Jennings. Looks like Jawan figured out that it's time to
0:38just take the deal on the table. And now I think it's kind of like, okay, once Diggs goes now, we're going to see Debo.
0:45Maybe we'll see Keenan Allen, right? I think it's kind of a the log jam. You see, you see it during free agency, too.
0:50It's like one position you're like, what's holding it up? Well, it's just that Trent Williams is holding it up, right? Or some one dude was waiting to
0:56sign his deal so that everybody else could sign theirs, right? because it's kind of a copycat league. Every loser wide receiver gets the same threeyear
1:03$36 million deal. Congratulations.
1:05>> Oh yeah. The the Ju Guu Smith Shuster uh Jaylen Naylor Baitman.
1:11>> Uh uh Jacobe Meyers. Jacobe Meyers actually got that deal but is maybe not a loser. Then got a better contract
1:17extension from the Jacksonville Jaguars after playing on that loser deal. Yeah, three year like three years between 30 million and 40 million is like if your
1:26if your boy signs that that's a that's a hand on shoulder moment that the NFL is not loving your boy in general. I think
1:34that's exa Darius Sllayton exactly got that contract right so there you go dude but you know what I look at Jaylen Coker
1:40if you're on that uh you know you're staring down the bar barrel of $6 million as a restricted free agent next
1:47year not even this year next year I you take that deal dude you take that deal all day >> no doubt no doubt uh I saw some uh I saw
1:55some hype for our guy Terence Ferguson and a very interesting quote from the Rams coaching staff that basically the way that they're viewing him is as the
2:0422 Outwell replacement, as the as the wide receiver three on theme, which actually, as we talked about the first time you joined this program, very much
2:13what we expected out of him. You know, he he broke your spreadsheet in terms of average depth of target and they really
2:21added nothing at wide receiver. They draft Max Claire in the second round.
2:24They retain Tyler Higgby. They retain Davis. I mean, this might be the this may be the rare team, Coupe, that does
2:31actually run out. Five freaking tight ends on game day.
2:35>> Yeah. Arthur Smith, cream pants dream, right? Just all tight ends. I'll tell you, he's Terence Ferguson, man. And it's the the name of the game in
2:45baseball, contingent upside, right? What happens when somebody goes down? And you go back and look at week 16 last year and when Devonte Adams was out, Terence
2:54Ferguson was second in routes run that week to Puka Nua. He got hurt himself the next week, so couldn't really keep
3:00it running. But I'm telling you, man, I'm getting tired of I even got a compilation that I'm putting together of just like near miss Terren Ferguson
3:06plays. Just the most annoying, right?
3:08Because, you know, it's like I I was like, should I just post all the touchdowns? No, no, no. Let's go in and
3:12look at all the plays that should have been touchdowns and let's just count those for ourselves. Let's just dude, let's just count it for our boy. I think
3:19we I I think we count it. Um All right.
3:21So, we are drafting out of the 12 spot in this baseball mania draft.
3:28>> 12 spot. Uh I have a I have a lovehate relationship with it. Generally, you do get those running back running back
3:34starts. Sometimes you can get Yeah. A lot of Yeah, the the issue is is generally I end up not liking my wide
3:41receivers, so I end up taking eight or nine them. It's fine to do that. uh you don't you don't ever really get a chance
3:47to take any of the elite tight ends. You you know you're too early really for Bowowers. McBride's not going to fault
3:53you at 36. You're not really going to want to take Lovelin. So you you kind of just get boxed into very similar teams I
3:58think drafting out of the 12, >> right? It's just it's so much blue. And do you ever just say, "Nah, I'm taking
4:05Drake London." Do you ever just do that?
4:06I usually just take two running backs, but like we need the community to step up and and kind of get some I I like
4:12having a choice. You know what I mean? I like having the ability to draft a wide receiver there if I feel like it. And
4:17just the way it's been falling at the 12, it's like the entire screen is blue and I feel like I feel like I'm bleeding
4:22value if I scroll down.
4:25>> I have no I've never done I've never done the Drake London I've never done the Drake London thing. Part of why I've
4:31not done the Drake London thing is the wide receivers available at the 34 turn.
4:35It's not going to be this way for much longer, but I'm totally fine grabbing Arashi Rice or Malik Neighbors at that
4:42three, four turn because that is total I mean that's that's wide receiver one upside. I mean neighbors if he >> if if the coach, you know, if the
4:52coaching staff says, "Hey, Neighbors good to go. Week one, we no concerns 100% of the routes." I mean, he's coming back to the first round. He's coming
4:59back to where Lamb Damn.
5:02>> I thought we were I thought we were going to get lucky there. Yeah, I thought we were gonna get lucky there.
5:05Who do you want to click here at 12 and 13?
5:08>> I mean, I'm not I'm not really taking James Cook, man. I'm really not. Let's go. Are you in or out on on Hampton? I
5:16could go Squan and then either Hampton or Walker is kind of what I've been doing here.
5:20>> Um I am not I'm I'm a I'm a I'm right in the middle. I'm a centrist. I'm a centrist on Amarian Hampton. I I love Kenneth
5:29Walker though.
5:30>> All right, let's do Walker. Yeah, I know you're a Chief. Uh >> All right. Yeah. So, so let the let the
5:34people hear it from you and and not from me on on Kenneth Walker. Why are why are you in on Kenneth Walker?
5:42>> Well, before we get to that, I wanted to say a little something on James Cook that um because he always he always
5:48seems to go in the first round or one of the guys there. And I get it. The floor is very good for James Cook. I just
5:53worry about his upside. I mean, we're trying to win a gazillion dollars here, right? Like, we're trying to win the whole thing. And and for me, I can't.
6:00There's so many guys that could score 400 PPR points. Christian McCaffrey scored 417 last year. CD Lamb scored 400 before. Cooper Cup has like a lot of
6:09guys have. The top guy usually does. And like James Cook, this guy his best season is 302 PPR points, right? He
6:17scored he scored 18 touchdowns one year and that was like two 270 or so. It's like >> isn't that crazy?
6:25>> Something needs to address. The problem is he splits passdowns with Ty Johnson.
6:28He splits goal line work with Josh Allen. When it's mop-up time, Ray Davis comes in and people underestimate that.
6:34Like when Saquon had his big year, he got every carry, even when they were up 20. Derrick Henry scores 40. Last year,
6:42he scored 30 PPR points when they were up two scores in the fourth quarter.
6:46Same with the year before last. It's like out of James Cook just not getting enough of the role for me to make him my
6:51first round pick. So, that's where I'm at. And then you look at Kenneth Walker and it's like this guy was upset with
6:57his job. He was the Super Bowl MVP. He doesn't even go to the ceremony because they didn't offer him money. This guy, I
7:04think he really sat back and said like, "Where can I be the king?" Like, "Where can I be the full-time guy and be a
7:10star?" And he talked to Andy Reid. And I'm sure Andy Reid told him like, "Hey, come out and be the superstar here for
7:17us." And we've seen Andy Reid do that before. I know it's kind of a lame cliche to be like Brian Westbrook, you
7:22know, but like it's entirely possible that he comes out and gets every major high leverage situation and those are the guys that come out and just rip your
7:29face right off and and win leagues.
7:32>> Couldn't agree more. I think you hit on one of the big keys there, which is that Kenneth Walker has known what it's been
7:39like to be in a time share. Plenty of teams wanted him. The New York Giants wanted him. The Jaguars were rumored to
7:45be in on him. Uh, I believe the New Orleans Saints were rumored to be on him. Plenty of teams wanted to acquire
7:50his services. And I would imagine that a huge part of the pitch was which one of these teams is going to let me really be
7:57the guy? Which which one of these teams is going to let me rip off 270 carries?
8:03Which one of these teams is going to let me play passing downs? Which one of these teams is going to let me score
8:07some TDs? I mean, there there's really no functional reason why Zack Charbanet needed to be on the field in the goal to
8:14go situations. It's not like he's marketkedly better at short yardage.
8:17That's just the way the Seahawks coaching staff choose to use them.
8:21Walker obviously adds the huge element that Kansas City was missing with the explosive plays. We know how good they are in terms of short yardage. I mean,
8:29the Chiefs shortage offense has been phen even when the team was like bad on offense. They were really good on goal
8:36to go, third and short, fourth and short situations. I mean, maybe you can say that's because Kare is the goat at it. I
8:42I kind of wonder if it's just Andy Reid, great play calling, good offensive line.
8:46I mean, Hunt Hunt obviously not bad at it.
8:49>> Anyone that watches the Chiefs knows that they they'll just create some touchdown for you. We're allowed to swear on this? Yeah.
8:56>> Yes. Oh, yeah.
8:57>> Okay. Cuz uh that should that's usually the question you ask before you say that, but we're already here, man. Um
9:02>> which uh which wide receivers do you want to take? Then we can keep going.
9:05>> Uh I let's go T.
9:09>> Do you want to take Jacobs? I I I I kind of I kind of don't Yeah, let's I I have
9:14not been taking him as this legal thing has kind of been weighing around and I wonder if ultimately that's going to end
9:21up being a nothing burger and I'm going to be like, "Oh, I I could have been taking fourth round Josh Jacobs this
9:25whole time."
9:26>> What happened to the old NFL, dude? What happened to like the witch hunt NFL that was like you did anything suspected of
9:32anything, you were done four games like the baseline, right? like Zeke Elliott and Tom Brady. Like Puka Dakua straight up said that he bit a lady and
9:42>> it was it was the 2024 collective bargaining agreement. Honestly, it really is what it is. The the league gave up a lot of the unilateral
9:52decision-making in the 2024 CBA. I I obviously know a lot about the 2024 CBA because of Rashi Rice and and just in
10:00general the whole Kansas City Chiefs deal. It's like everyone on the team feels like they're committing crimes.
10:04you know, basically all of the time and and that is what it is. It's just every things are are much more laxed now as a
10:11result of that.
10:11>> Pulled up that little sheet and they did kind of they changed the wording, but I mean, they still left in there that the
10:15league has the uh you know, they left in their own individ in investigation thing, but they're really not doing that. So, for me, I'm like whatever, you
10:24know, if if it really if you have to be I mean like the Broncos put Jonathan Cooper on like leave or whatever. I
10:30mean, like the dude got arrested like two times in seven days. At what point are you just like, we don't want this
10:35guy around? So, I guess I guess it's fair game, so let's just go for it, man.
10:40With Jacobs, I'm cool with that.
10:41>> I I might like Kenneth Walker the third in a reddraft more than I like him in baseball because I think it's fair to
10:47say in baseball, does Saquon Barkley have a higher absolute ceiling? Does Amarian Hampton have a higher absolute ceiling? Does Deon Achain have a higher
10:55absolute ceiling? I I'm actually willing to hear all of those that they do, but man is he gonna have a real cozy floor
11:03in reddraft where it's just like, yeah, man. I got 12 points from Kenneth Walker every week. Dude, dude was an absolute
11:10and and maybe maybe he doesn't have too many, you know, 22 carry games because the Chiefs are always a high proe team.
11:17Like just end of the day, the Chiefs are always going to be top five in the league in proe. Um, but I I think I I I
11:24think I like him basically the same.
11:27>> Yeah. I mean, that range of running backs, dude, that's the whole problem with that that swing is that the there's
11:34an upside case for all those guys and it's just so hard to pass them up and go to AJ Brown or Drake London. So, I'm
11:40hoping the rest of the community steams those guys up so it's more of a choice.
11:44But right now, it's like I do I'm double tapping every time.
11:47>> I see somebody in the chat saying, you know, to get unique, but >> I don't know. They're they're they're they're they're teasing Chess Liam um
11:55who who wanted who who wanted me to take George Pickkins uh at the third slot in the second round the last time we
12:01drafted the team together. Um yeah, not not great. We we've we do have a team going full zero running back here. Puka,
12:09Pickkins, Rice, Garrett Wilson, and Judkins. Always it's nice to see someone still carrying the flag for uh for the zero. I I do it I do it every every once
12:19in every every every once in a while.
12:21Not not very often. Honestly, much more of my teams look like this where it's like, "Hey, man. I got to find some wide
12:27receiver points. I don't know where I'm going to find them, but I'm really going to hope that I am uh that I am able to."
12:33All right, so let's look at the queue here. One of the options would be just taking Burrow. Um or I mean Lamar is
12:40actually still there, which is huge. We have Tate, BTJ, Tyson. I mean, I think if Lamar makes it to this pick, I think
12:47we just take Lamar.
12:48>> Yeah, Lamar's a donk there.
12:50>> That week 17 correlation between I like I can see that game actually being kind of Okay. All right. Lamar goes um Yeah.
12:57I don't know. What are you thinking here? Probably at least one wide receiver.
13:00>> Yeah, definitely. Do you like taking the rookies here? I haven't I mean BTJ and and Marv are like the Spider-Man meme
13:06for me. So, yeah, I could go Tate and then >> let's do let's do Tate and then I'm gonna take Brian Thomas Jr. And I'm
13:14going to try and talk you into Brian Thomas Jr. and say that he's not Spider-Man meme with Marv for you.
13:19>> Okay.
13:20>> So, I cannot find any information about Marv playing with a significant injury last year. May maybe he did and he just
13:29wasn't saying it. But we have multiple reports that Brian Thomas Jr. had a knee injury, that he had a wrist injury. I
13:38believe there was talk of a of an ankle injury. that one that one I I am not sure but I am 100% certain on the knee
13:44and the wrist and you know all these all these doctor bros out there they're talking about the wrist injury now again
13:50I don't know these these doctors on Twitter they can they can say whatever because I'm not a doctor but apparently it's just like really painful if there
13:58was like if it got bent back like this which just means he was like really afraid to go get contacted over the
14:05middle you know makes it very hard to be a wide rece I mean we saw that with Worthy right very hard to be an
14:10effective wide receiver if you can't really do anything in between the hashes. And this role that he is reported to have for the Jags, I
14:19actually think is an awesome role for him specifically because if your teammates are Jacobe Myers, Parker Washington, Travis Hunter, Brettton Strange, and this Berector guy from
14:28Texas A&M, the only role on the team that's going to be super productive that no one else can do is kind of the the
14:35deep guy. and they'll be a little annoying that his overall targets go down while air yards go up. But also, it's a pretty valuable role if it turns
14:45out he's still good. Like, what if what if what if the true answer for who BTJ is is between how bad he was last year
14:52and how great he was with M. Jones?
14:55That's probably a smash at wide receiver 30 in this offense.
14:58>> Yeah. Plus, he's like, he's a young guy and he's being asked to he's been asked to play one of the most difficult roles.
15:04And I you heard the comments from him where people asked him about last year versus this year he said it hurt to run
15:09last year. So like that alone on top of the wrist thing like I'm sure uh he's in line for a bounceback but this this job
15:16is very difficult but when you look at the guys who do it well and again hall of fame players Mike Evans right in that
15:23split end role with the other guys playing slot flanker or Dvonte Adams in this very similar scheme obviously uh where Liam Coleman came over from like
15:31he in that role scoring a ton of one-yard touchdowns and we forget that that's in the range of outcomes for for
15:36best baseball is like what if Brian Thomas is just winning one-on-one all the time and scoring a bunch of touchdowns. That's what this role can be
15:43if it works the right way. So, uh I just think last year the injuries on top of having to play a much more difficult
15:50role in Cohen's scheme definitely held him back. But I also I I do believe in Marv. I think Marvin Harrison Jr. is a
15:57good player.
15:57>> Oh, so you were saying you were saying compared to Marv non- derogatory. Non- derogatory. Non- derogatory. Okay.
16:05>> That's a positive. Yeah. No, because I I I'm in on a potential bounce back for Marv. I think things are going to even
16:09out a little bit. Like you look at and again this kind of hurts Trey McBride in the grand scheme of things. He Trey
16:15McBride's going to be fine, but like last year was like the most insane run out for him with Marv getting hurt and
16:20Jacobe Brassette coming in and the team going one and 11 under Jacobe Brassette.
16:24I think you look at it and like if you are force feeding targets to one guy the entire time and your quarterback isn't
16:31getting through his read progressions, right? He's just dumping it off or he's turning and scrambling around, you got to at some point change things, right?
16:38And like what do you do? Do you come back out and just dump it down to Marv and James Connor and Jeremiah Love every
16:43single time like you did last year or do you bring in uh you know the floor here and say, "Okay, we need our new
16:49quarterback to get through the reads and we want to get the ball to wide receivers more." I think they're going to make a concerted effort and maybe
16:54Marv just isn't the guy who we thought he was. Maybe he is Cory Davis or whatever, but like this guy I think has
16:59another another level that at this spot in the draft I'm willing to go there with either BTJ or Marv. I've been doing
17:05both of them sometimes just kind of thing. Do you want to do Lawrence with Brian Thomas Jr. or Mahomes with a back
17:12stack?
17:13>> Let's do Lawrence.
17:14>> Yeah, I I really like that. And then we could do Harvey, Dao, Manungi, Cororum, or tap one of these wide receivers.
17:23>> Dude, the Dow I'm kind of convincing myself on Dao a little bit.
17:27>> Okay, >> we are loaded up at running back already, but if we do this, then we can kind of be done.
17:32>> I was going to say we can we can kind of coast. We can maybe take a a little dart at the end there. I I'm I'm actually
17:38with that. So, I am honestly I'm kind of at a spot where I change my mind almost every single day between it's like, "Oh,
17:44dude, Warren's the man." And then I'm like, "Wait, Warren's been a Steeler for nine years and they've never viewed him as the man. He's always been in a
17:51complimentary role. Dao was there with Mike McCarthy in Dallas. It's one of the class I mean, is is there really much of
17:58a difference between Chris Rodriguez getting brought into Jacksonville and Dao getting brought in to Pittsburgh?"
18:03Not really.
18:05>> Right. And you listen to what the RB coach is saying and it really sounds like a nightmare for fantasy. It truly
18:10does. Especially for reddraft. Like reddraft I I don't even know if I want to be involved in this Warren verse dowel situation. But he basically said
18:18we we want both guys to play. They can both do everything. Mike McCarthy uh wants fresh legs. And then he said the
18:25scheme from week to week is going to dictate like what type of player we feature. basically kind of saying like, okay, if the teams are stacking the
18:33front and we're running a lot of gap, you know, man-on-man blocking and pulling guys, maybe we do go with a straight line runner or maybe if, you
18:39know, we're running a lot of zone or whatever, we go with whoever. But to me, that's basically saying that it's going
18:44to be tough potentially week to week to predict who's the guy. What I do know is that Rico Dael is a guy who like Kenneth
18:51Walker sat down in the Panthers locker room and said they asked him do the touches at the end of the season matter
18:58to you in terms of free agency and he said absolutely. He goes the fact that I was playing so well and and wasn't and
19:04I'm paraphrasing I was playing so well and and my touches came back down like that's absolutely going to factor in where I go. And he basically went out
19:10and found his old coach from the Cowboys and joined up with him. Like, can you imagine saying those things and having
19:17that attitude and playing as well as he did and then talking to your former coach and that coach brings you in and
19:23then he sits you on the pine? Like, I just can't imagine uh I mean, if I was Dowel and and I ended up not having a
19:31big role, it's agent fiery time, right?
19:33Like, so I I just feel like if Dow was going way ahead of Warren, it'd be a different story, but he goes a full
19:38round behind me. So, I I'm just kind of I'm not really taking too much Warren and I'm taking D. And if that flips,
19:43then it is what it is. But like I just can't imagine Dowel settling for a situation where he's not at least
19:48getting half the work.
19:51>> Totally. I'm I'm I'm completely and totally with you on that one. I I mean Warren I think is certainly better, but
19:58I think the pre-existing relationship between Dowel and McCarthy makes it um >> everywhere D goes he weasels his way in there. Man, I don't he hasn't
20:07particularly been bad any time. when he gets a shot, when he gets a full roll somewhere, he might not be great, but
20:12like he he can carry the load and he puts the numbers out >> for sure. Um, all right. So, we have got
20:19Trevor Lawrence, Saquon Barkley, Ken Walker, Josh Jacobs, Rico Dowel, T.
20:23Higgins, Carnell Tate, BTJ. We're looking looking a little thin on wide receiver. Probably thinking seven wide receivers on this team. We are up in a
20:33couple picks. I mean, getting one or both of Pitman Jr. or Golden here would be fire. We could take Golden and Love
20:40potentially. I really I really like Michael Pitman Jr. though. I mean, Michael Pitman Jr. is Well, there you go. It appears It appears that Jake Gage
20:49also really likes uh Michael Pitman Jr.
20:53kind of the end of a tier running back here. What are you thinking?
20:56>> I mean, I think we definitely got to take Golden here, right? Give ourselves some upside.
21:01So, it' be Golden and then we could take KD to start our tight end or Jordan Love and maybe be done at two quarterbacks.
21:08>> I also kind of I'm kind of convincing myself to be very in on Wondell Robinson. I'm not sure if that's too far
21:15down for you right there, but >> No, let's let's do it. We can we can double up on the Tennessee Titans. So,
21:20I'm I've talked myself out of Wel Robinson because I've talked myself very much into Gunner Helm. Like I would say Gunner Helm I mean Gunner Gunner Helm I
21:30think is my most drafted player and it's going to be really hard for both those guys to get there. Like very very hard
21:38for both those guys to get there. So so try and sell me the Wel Robinson pen >> and obviously if they get a similar
21:44number of targets right so say each of them gets 80 to 90 targets those targets are more valuable for the tight end
21:49right because you can be a top five tight end with only 90 targets. But here's the here's a super surface level
21:57stat here that really has me pumped on Juan Delale, especially on DraftKings as full PPR. Here are the reception leaders over the last two years, right? The top
22:07eight uh combined for the two years.
22:09Jamar Chase, Aman Ross St. Brown, Jackson Smith and Jigba, Puka Nua, Justin Jefferson, W Jell Robinson, CD
22:20Lamb, and Drake London. So if you look at our draft board, that is that list of eight guys. That's the first seven guys
22:28in ADP and Wondo Robbins. And you know, I know Malik Neighbors is part of the equation, you know, but this guy got 140
22:36targets in back-to-back seasons. And once again, like we're doing the uh the squeaky wheel correlary here where it's like Wel Robinson leaves, he follows the
22:46guy that gave him 140 targets in back-to-back years with a QB that has a accuracy problem where they're trying to potentially find him an easy guy to just
22:55force targets to and get that confidence up. I mean, I could Wando Robinson could easily come out and have 125 130 targets
23:01and at this ADP like, can you even fail?
23:05I know two years ago he had probably the second least efficient season with 140 targets besides that like Nick Sabin Chris Chambers season, but like if you
23:14get 125 targets at this ADP, you're you've delivered, you know?
23:20>> I mean 100 100% true. Um, I think his target expectation for me would be more like 115
23:30be mostly because you have the inconvenient truth of Calvin Ridley still being there. Now, if Ridley gets traded, Ridley gets released, Ridley
23:38just goes back on IR or like it just becomes clear that Ridley's not part of the equation and they're running with Io
23:44Manor and DK, then then I think I can buy myself back in because it's like, okay, Carnell Tate, you know, it'll take
23:51some time. I don't think Carnell Tate is going to be 137 target guys.
23:56>> We have Carnell We have Carnel Tate now.
23:58We >> No, that's fine. That's fine. We're We're setting up We're setting up Cam Ward, which is totally fine. I I don't
24:04have a ton of Cam Ward bets in the portfolio. That's one where I am like, man, he was really really bad as a
24:12rookie. But a lot of quarterbacks look really bad and get better over time. So that's totally fine. I I don't I don't
24:18think it's that >> Here's what I worry about. I worry that we're gonna win $3 million and people are going to go back and watch this and
24:22we're gonna both be wearing yellow shirts and white hats and >> and they're gonna be like, "We don't know which one is which, bro."
24:29>> The Cam Ward Cam Ward $3 million team and these dudes definitely coordinated some sort of Charlie Brown.
24:35>> We coordinated our outfits. All right, >> that's that's the hardest part of prep for the show is I'm going to win $3
24:40million. I'm staring in my closet like what am I going to wear? Why wear >> Let's take Cam Ward >> and then let's decide. Do we want to
24:48take >> Jaden Higgins?
24:50>> Jaden Higgins. Okay. Sell me the Sell me the I I have no strong feelings about Jaden Higgins at all. Sell me the Sell
24:57me the Jaden Higgins pen.
24:58>> I have strong feelings. Uh I was angry with them last year. Jaden Higgins came out and I I almost never see this,
25:06right? You look at the types of sets that players play and part-time players almost always play in three wide receiver sets. The most common one, of
25:14course, is like the slot guy that comes in for three wide, then comes out, right? They they brought Jaden Higgins on and basically taught him all the two
25:22wide receiver sets. He was only playing in two wide to start the year, but then he would come out for three wide
25:28receiver sets. I I almost never see that. Very strange where it's like just him and Nico. But it makes sense though.
25:34It's like you go goal line and you send the two big guys out and do that. As the season progressed, he was picking up
25:38more of those snaps. Xavier Hutchinson was going away. I'd love for him to go away forever, but he never quite got to
25:44a full-time snapshare until Nico got hurt. You know, the Patriots game there at the end. Uh, but like this guy actually did of anybody on the team
25:54demonstrate that he can be an every down player. And I think Jaylen Noel is going to be the Christian Kirk and hopefully
26:00Xavier Hutcherson goes away like and Daltton Schulz has just been a big kind of whatever pretty much his whole career. So for me, like I look around
26:08and I do believe in CJ Strad to some degree. I think that they should have stuck with Bobby Slowick in 2020. They
26:15should have just stayed with that Bobby Slowick scheme, but I think Jaden Higgins could come out and be an everyown player opposite Nico Collins
26:21with Jaylen Nowell in the slot and Tank Dell kind of just doing the field stretcher thing. And and if that's the
26:26case, man, I mean, this guy had put together some decent games last year. I I was very frustrated that they didn't
26:31just unleash him, you know, it was But maybe this year.
26:37Here's here's my here's my here's my push back on on Mr. Jaden Higgins.
26:42>> They're definitely one of these teams that's all in on the 12 personnel revolution. I mean, could anything make this organization more happy than the
26:50fact that no one's going to be making fun of them for playing this way? Like, no one's giving them a hard time, right? It's Oh, dude.
26:59So smart. So smart, dude. They drafted Marlon Klein, who no one's ever heard of in the second round. They're all geniuses. Just geniuses. They got Cade
27:08Stove. In fact, the list of tight ends on the Texans roster is is actually going to like it's going to make you
27:14laugh when I tell you all these jabronies they have.
27:17>> Schultz Maro, Cade Stove, Lane Prior, still Brevin Jordan.
27:21>> Still Brevan Jordan in in addition in addition to uh in addition to Marlon Klein. They they got a bazillion dudes
27:29there.
27:31Now, Higgins I think will be on the outside, right? So, so he's not a huge loser there, but Dell and Null, like
27:41Dell being so good before he got injured and then Null being a third round pick, I'm like, you got to find some snaps and
27:47routes for those guys. So, I I wonder if and and Xavier Hutchinson who played over Higgins last year, still still on
27:54the team. So, I wonder if he's like, "Oh man, it'd be so sick if we could get him to 80% of the routes." And he's like a
28:0162% of the routes guy all year, which would be a huge problem, >> which was the very the frustrating problem last year. And that could easily
28:07happen. Dude, here's the thing. This team had the two tight end fullback setup with Bobby Slick and then they made him get rid of the fullback and
28:15they traded for Stefon Diggs and then they fired him when everyone got hurt.
28:19Like, they had it and they blew it. It's crazy.
28:21>> All right, we got to take at least one tight end here. Give me give me someone from this list.
28:25>> Let's just go upside with Sadiq, you know, and just say like what if he's what if he's the top two target on the
28:30team? What if he's the fastest tight end ever? That I mean that second part that second part's true.
28:34>> And then we could take a final running back here. Uh any of these guys do anything for you?
28:40>> Uh I usually just go Spears or Dylan Samson and just look for look for that like back door uh you know pass you know
28:49the negative game script games that we got from Spears last year. like if these teams are bad, but I mean we are big
28:54time Titans fans all of a sudden. But that that's fine.
28:59>> Yeah, he's a pass catcher back so we can kind of sneak around with that.
29:02>> Uh who who the Titans play week 17?
29:06>> The Pittsburgh Steelers.
29:08>> Jesus Christ. What >> fri uh we we can take. Uh so we have Trevor Lawrence, Cam Ward, Saquon Barkley, Ken
29:16Walker, Josh Jacobs, Rico Dattle, Taj Spears, T. Higgins, Carnell Tate, Brian Thomas Jr., Matthew Golden, Well Robinson, Jaden Higgins, and Kenyan
29:27Sadi. I mean, Sadique I feel is probably getting a little bit a little bit of unfair marginalization from the fantasy football community given that he because
29:37he got drafted by the Jets and because they also drafted Omar Cooper Jr. But by and large, I mean, haven't we generally
29:43lost our mind for first round pass catchers? I think the same thing is true is happening with Conpsion. Conpsion goes 40 picks behind Mai Lemon and any
29:52reasonable target projection software is going to give them roughly the same amount of targets. In fact, you could argue that Casey Conpsion could see more targets,
30:03right? I mean, very easily. You you could argue because the the Browns just might end up being a higher pass volume
30:08team, >> right? And when I look at a lot of these teams, like a guy that I'm not picking all that much, unless I unless I have
30:16Trevor Lawrence, so would have kind of would have been on the table, but like Brenton Strange, like in baseball, sure.
30:21But in reddraft, like what's his path to upside? Even even in baseball really, it's like how many guys need to get hurt
30:28from that wide receiver core before Brettton Strange really is like consistently offering even five, six targets a game or even the potential of like double
30:37digit targets. Like what kind of situation would call for a Brettton Strange double- digit target game when you have BTJ and Parker Washington and
30:46Jacobe Myers and if Parker Washington Jacobe Myers gets hurt you have Travis Hunter or even if he doesn't get hurt like Travis Hunter is could potentially
30:53just be incredible. It's like these guys same goes for Kate Oddton. It's like I just I cannot make a case for Kate and I
31:01don't even know what makes Brett Strange better than Kottton in people's eyes where he has to go so much higher, you
31:06know. So, I don't know. Those type guys, I just don't really click much of that.
31:09I'm shooting for the moon with guys that could potentially be, you know, top targets. These guys again, I got Greg Dulich. I hate to say it out loud
31:18because every time we mention a guy's name, he gets picked, but like guys that could lead their team in targets, you
31:22know, it's possible.
31:24>> It's possible, man. Kenn canyon on Sadiq. I mean, he would obviously need an injury to Garrett Wilson, but >> but top two. All you need is top two.
31:32Like the best the best tight end season all time in fantasy in this format. Rob Gronkowski 330 PPR points in a year
31:41where Wes Welker got 170 targets. If you can be second on the team, you could be good. It's just really rare for three
31:47guys to all get 100 targets. It just doesn't happen that much without an injury.
31:51>> All right, let's take let's take Aaron Rogers here. Um because I think we need a third quarterback. And then do you
31:57want to take any of these tight ends? Uh well, which one of these tight ends do you want to take?
32:03>> Doulich.
32:04>> Doulich. Bang. All right. And then we should have a chance to get Pat Forth in the next round now that we took Rogers.
32:10Potentially not. I do I mean I think we definitely needed a third quarterback on this team. Like >> I I like uh I like Cam Ward, you know, a
32:20little a little, you know, I like him as much as the next guy. I mean, I'm sure there are huge cam ward truthers out
32:24there somewhere, but uh and Rogers is just like a nice little safe floor. You know what? You know, a guy who I have
32:30been buying who I actually just recently moved up uh a good bit of my ranks that feels real bad is um is is Judy.
32:38>> Me, too. Oh, dude. Look, I was hoping you would say something positive about Judy because he's quietly become one of
32:45my one of my higher roster players.
32:48Like, >> too high, >> dude. Look, look at these target totals, man. 106, 145, the 87 was was quite bad that final year in Denver. But the the
32:57dude the dude just gets the ball. I mean, that's just that's just the uh that's just the way she goes.
33:02>> The only the only player that's run more routes if based on PFS numbers that's run more routes than Jerry Judy over the
33:09last two seasons is Jamar Chase. like he's he's been out there, you know, and the year before last, I mean, he had
33:14what do you have over,200 yards and like nine touchdowns like and Andrew Barry came out right after the draft and said
33:20Jerry Judy's our bellcow. Like he's our top guy and these other guys are hanging out or whatever and he's only 27 years
33:26old, right? Smack in the age apex. So, it'll be interesting. Judy came out and said that this new offense is totally
33:35different than the last one. He said everything not just the not just the way people line up the terminology the concepts totally different. So whatever
33:43you were banking on from last year that's changing.
33:47>> I mean I hope that's true where Okay. So so you know one to 100% probability.
33:54Give me your give me your mental model for probability that Deshun Watson is not a bottom five quarterback in EPA. So
34:02better than bottom five. Dude, I'm gonna stop coming on the show if you keep making me pump up Deshun Watson every
34:08time. But I'm telling you, there's a real possibility.
34:12Again, all you have to picture is this guy, you know, obviously down in the, you know, mentally struggling, but also with a bum shoulder, right? Like he was
34:22playing through a pretty serious shoulder injury. And like if you're coming out there trying to play Chad Pennington ball because you know you
34:28can't push it down field and you can't play your game and teams know that, then it's going to look terrible. And it did
34:33look terrible, but when this guy was healthy in the past, and I know that's a big stretch, he is, and this actually
34:39includes the current games, include all the bad games with with the Browns. This guy is QB4 all time in fantasy points
34:47per game. I've seen him be awesome. He doesn't even need to be awesome at his current ADP. He could be like QB 20 and
34:53still outpay where he's going, but like I just I always have to leave in the possibility that like maybe a guy was
35:00hurt. You know, Javvante Williams is hurt now. He's great. Like maybe he's been hurt and he's gonna come back and be okay. This guy's the same age as
35:06Patrick Mahomes.
35:07>> He said, I mean, he said he he So, the other day at training camp, he said, you know, I have been hurt. Uh, we took Prep
35:14Vermouth as our third tight end. You got a you got a favorite scroll wide receiver you like here?
35:19>> Uh, let's see here. Do you ever take Tyreek Hill?
35:25>> No. No, not after seeing what his wrist looks like the other day.
35:29We're gonna take uh take I mean I've been taking I've been taking Baitman. I Baitman and all the mixing around kind
35:37of the Ravens depth wide receivers because I think there's a role for somebody >> that out there's an out if Zay Flowers
35:44is going to be the slot flanker Aman Ross St. Brown guy for Declan Doyle.
35:47there's a there's an outside role for somebody and and uh Mentor even said it which I wish somebody asked him a
35:55follow-up question, but they asked Jesse Mentor and he was like, "Look, if you start doing the numbers, like just add up the number of wide receivers we have
36:02on the team, there's an opportunity for one of these rookies to play a ton." And he said, "One of them." He goes, "For
36:07one of these guys to play a ton." Now, my question is, is he talking about as the third wide receiver after Rashad
36:13Baitman or is he talking about as a second wide receiver? because that's a huge somebody should have just jumped in and been like, "Hey, you mean like as a
36:19wide receiver, too?" Cuz then because then he could have been like, "Oh, no.
36:22We got Flowers and Dateman and there's room for someone." But like either way, uh there's a ro there's room for, you
36:30know, because they're not going to have a fullback anymore. Patrick Ricard's gone. Even if they use a decent number of two tight end sets, there's room for
36:36someone to be an every down wide receiver. And this scheme, you know, you look at Roman Dunes, you look at Jameson
36:41Williams, there's some chunk plays out there. You know, Payman scored nine touchdowns the year before last, but these the young guys, too. One of these
36:47guys could step up and just be awesome.
36:49Like, I I wish we had an an I wish we had a more definitive answer. What is Coach Speak saying, you know? Let's see
36:56what Let's see what uh what we're get like who's in the front runner because like whoever looks like the front runner
37:01is a guy I'm going to be picking a bunch when it comes to August.
37:04>> It's a it's a good question. I mean, I actually have not even started to look at any of the um the Ravens projections.
37:10So, we're actually going to go do this together right now.
37:13Um the Baltimore Ravens. We have got 117 targets for Flowers. Honestly, yeah, that maybe that feels a little light to
37:22me. 65 for Baitman, 42 for Lane, 33 for Serat, 19 for Devontes Walker. Um I mean, Mark Andrews is just basically
37:33alone at the uh the tight end position there. I mean, if you build in any um if you build any like
37:43crazy efficiency in, which is very hard to do, like doing do I got to say doing projections for the Ravens probably has
37:48to be like a very very difficult exercise because all of their good fantasy points come from efficiency. But you can't like Lamar once had a season
37:59with 9.6% 6% of his pass attempts going for touchdowns, which is like uh as good as the Pton Manning 50 touchdown year,
38:07you know, so very hard to project. I mean, Mark Andrews looks like a huge buy here. Baitman. Baitman as the clear wide
38:14receiver, too. Pretty interesting. 615 yards on on 65 targets is pretty good.
38:20>> If he gets it, if he gets that role, there's a big opportunity for chunk plays. That's the thing. you know, we've
38:25seen this guy in the past when healthy, you know, kind of have have some big plays and score again scored nine
38:31touchdowns the year before last. These projections, the thing is you look at these projections and there's nothing I would necessarily change. I mean,
38:38there's just a possibility that Declan Doyle comes in and there's more volume.
38:41It's higher. You know, it is it looks like a Ben Johnson offense where it's like uh a lot more motion and trick
38:48plays and and and chunk plays. So, I mean it that whoever gets that job, I just hope that whoever gets it like gets
38:55it, you know, because any sort of rotation kills everything. If it's just going to be Z Flowers as a full-time guy
39:00and like the Ravens have done for many years where it's like they have one wide receiver and everybody rotates, that kills everything. But if the Declin
39:07Doyle comes in and they say, "Okay, you know what? We're going to have two full-time wide receivers now like he has
39:12like the Bears did and like the Lions did." I mean, that that leaves some opportunity there, especially if Andrews underperforms. And I I don't necessarily
39:20think Andrew will. He's I think he's a a good click at at ADP, but like I just look at it every time I have Jackson
39:26especially. You got to pick one of those guys because what if >> I mean I I completely agree you have to
39:33do that. I mean I bet my I bet my cominatorial ownership of Lamar Jackson and and Mark Andrews is crazy. I bet
39:40like when I have Lamar I bet I have like >> probably half those teams. So, I have 58 Lamar teams and if I check Mark Andrews
39:48with that, of those 58 teams, 37 of them have Mark Andrews. Yeah.
39:54>> As it should though, right? Like that's kind of how that plays. You should do that.
39:59>> Yeah.
39:59>> Mark% >> Lamar Jackson his ADP I can't help but feel like either Josh Allen's going too early or Lamar Jackson's going too late.
40:10I mean, it's it almost has to be that it is Josh Allen going a little bit too early. I mean, dude, these
40:18>> two six years in a row, >> these some of these Lamar fantasy seasons, dude, 430 points, great season,
40:27right? I mean, this guy has multiple 330 se point seasons. I I mean, 41 passing touchdowns, dude.
40:37>> I mean, how about that? his best fantasy season only came with four rushing touchdowns, which like really means like he's kind of left some on the table.
40:46>> Yeah. Well, that is one knock on Lamar is that I pulled up, you know, the carries inside the five last year.
40:51Derrick Henry got them all, dude. It's crazy. Derrick Henry got 85% of the carries inside the five, which 24 led the league with 24 carries inside the
40:59five yard line. Uh, and Lamar really wasn't taking much of them, which uh I don't know if I was him, I would
41:04definitely How about just like some bootlegs every once in a while, you know, like, but now I think because he was banged up last year, they just
41:11decide he banged up in every way, right?
41:13Like he had like 10 different injuries.
41:15They just decided not to do it. But I don't know, man. I can't help but feel like we all know he could be the the QB
41:21one. Josh Allen is just he's been QB one or one or two what, six years in a row.
41:26He's just such a safe pick. I mean, he has he also has the immune system of a small Victorian child. Like, it feels
41:32like this dude is always getting ill and >> bubble the bubble guts.
41:37>> The bubble guts. It's always it's always happening for him. I mean, it's kind of hard to for me to really take much of
41:43anything away from the Ravens season last year because it was so clear that we were having like a squabble between the head coach and the quarterback,
41:53which never ends well. I mean, there was and and Lamar won, by the way, which is always kind of interesting when like
41:59some organizations some organizations would side with the quarterback, some organizations would side with the head coach.
42:06>> Um, and I guess when your alternative I mean, I don't even know what the Ravens alternative would have been if they
42:12>> No, because they don't they love the GM.
42:13That's some of these teams because there's only three heads you can cut off, right? At the top, it's the coach, the QB, and the GM. And if you're the
42:21Cowboys, then there's only two ads because the the owner is also the GM.
42:24But like some of these teams, you look at the Eagles, too. The Eagles are kind of getting there now where it's like
42:29Howie Roseman's not going anywhere. So at a certain point, it will be Herzer Serriani when that decision has to be made just like it was there, you know,
42:37like. So, uh, same with honestly people hate to hear this, but I look at the Lions sometimes and you think about,
42:46uh, you know, Brad Holmes is obviously not going anywhere. back-to-back executive of the year and they love Dan Campbell and if this team doesn't win I
42:54can't help but get that feeling that I had and Lions fans cover your ears like the Chiefs where Andy Reid was so good
43:01and Alex Smith was going to the playoffs every year going to the Pro Bowl. Alex Smith was winning like 12 14 games and
43:06he was putting putting together good seasons going to the Pro Bowl and then it, you know, eventually they just were like, you know what, we're loaded at
43:14every position. Let's take a quarterback. And then that quarterback finally got a chance to play and he threw 50 touchdowns. You know, it's like
43:20I can't help but look at Jared Goff who I love who I love Jared Goff as a person. Like he's actually sent my aunt,
43:27it's a whole whole big story, but he sent my aunt like an autographed jersey as like a super Rams fan or whatever.
43:32But like I can't help but feel like, okay, this team has done everything they can at every position. At a certain
43:37point, you got to ask yourself, what if maybe Jared Goff is just getting us almost there and like it's time to see
43:44if we can catch lightning in a bottle with the next guy. So, I don't know.
43:48It's a tough thought. People don't like to hear that, but I mean, a certain point, what what what do you change? You
43:53know, >> I I mean, I know who I would have sided with. I would have sided with the MVP caliber quarterback who plays like like
44:02Stretch Armstrong, Spider-Man like he like he's on a totally >> he's on Yeah, he's on a totally different level. Um >> so teams team tough decisions for these
44:14teams because eventually you get forced into it.
44:16>> So >> yeah, >> I like I'm rooting for the Lions in the Super Bowl so they don't ever they don't
44:20have to make that decision. But like it.
44:22>> All right. I I want to talk to you about uh I want to talk to you about the Los Angeles Chargers because I feel like the
44:30Chargers are just so potentially going to be the story of the season. But they have like more balls in the air to
44:39juggle than I I projecting like maybe any other team in the NFL because they have three tight ends, two of whom they
44:48brought in in free agency. They also signed fullback Alec Engold. They do not have Keenan Allen on the roster right now, but they also might have Keenan
44:57Allen on the roster at some point. The coaching staff and the GM have said, "Hey, like they're leaving the door open." So, it's it's definitely
45:04possible. You've got a group of rotational deep threats in Brendan Thompson, KLS, and Darius Davis. All of whom are probably like
45:14better pass catchers than Trey Harris in terms of like go get open down the field. Trey really did not show very
45:21much as a pass catcher year one to the team. I he got a game ball for run blocking once which is like the most
45:26horos [ __ ] um of all time.
45:29>> No one dude.
45:32>> Yeah.
45:33>> No one thinks QJ's good. I mean I feel like even QJ's biggest believers are not like oh dude QJ's so good. I feel like
45:40they're just like everyone disrespects QJ. But then they never show like what it is that he's really you know good good at. Lad has the hamstring injury.
45:50Hampton is a first round running back, but he gets injured year one. Is like the worst pass catching or like the
45:56worst pass blocking running back in the league other than Trevian Henderson.
46:00Videll plays really well after not playing as a rookie. Katon Mitchell signs a bigger free agent. I mean, he signed the same deal as Algier, you
46:08know, two years, $10 million with a bunch of incentives in it. I I mean, what do you make of this team?
46:14>> Yeah, I mean QJ first. It really was like, "Oh no, we lost we lost Mike Williams. We need a new Mike Williams."
46:20And then they got to hit the new Mike Williams and it's like, "Oh no, we have Mike Williams again, right?" It's like
46:26he's just such a every once in a while he makes a big play and you're you get fired up, but or has a monster game.
46:31He's had some monster games, but I just have a hard time getting on board with Omarian Hampton. I went back and I
46:36watched because I saw the pass blocking grade. I was shocked. I went back and I watched a sample of games like the Chief
46:42the first Chiefs game.
46:44I don't know, man. He had one play like think about the way the pass blocking grades work is so tough because you
46:50watch the play and I I mean play that they that really knocked him. He comes all the way across the screen and gets a
46:57a free rusher and kind of stands him up, but he gets close enough to Herbert that Herbert ends up throwing it and they
47:03call that a pressure and then his grade for the game is a nine out of 100. It's like I I'm not necessarily sure he's as
47:11bad as people say. The other part about pass blocking is like we don't even know the scheme. We don't even know if like
47:16he was supposed to be running a route on that play or a different play, you know, it's like it's just so hard with pass
47:20blocking. So, I'm willing I'm willing to go there. What I do know with this offense is that it's so good for
47:25fantasy. It's so conducive to fantasy because all the teams that run it, San Francisco, uh you know, the Dolphins ran it before, Bobby Sloick ran it with the
47:34the uh Texans in 2023, the Clint Kubaks offenses. They you they have so many guys on the field that don't touch the
47:42football that it's so good for the other guys, right? Like you look at some of those 49ers team.
47:48>> Kyle you check one year and Charlie Warner combined for 800 snaps and they got 25 targets. That is so good for the
47:56other players, man. Like to just say these are our four guys and they're going to get the ball every time and you
48:00can't stop it and we're going to put them in motion all over the place. That is so great. Like, so for me, I look at
48:05Hampton and I understand the floor is that the guy sucks at pass blocking or he just might be bad. Like, we don't
48:11even know for sure. Like, people say that to me and I'm like, yeah, maybe, right? But like, what if he comes out
48:17and they use him the way they've used running backs? Christian McCaffrey and, you know, runs 100 routes from a wide receiver spot a year. Devon Achan is
48:27number two in that stat. Number three is Bejian Robinson over the last two years.
48:30Like if they're going to use Hampton the way they used other backs, this guy could be running real routes on top of
48:35getting a ton of carries for an actually good offense that has everybody getting healthy that brought in Alec Engelled at fullback that brought in Charlie Kohler
48:44as a blocking tight end. Like they let Mike McDaniel build his scheme that really highly consolidates the the touches. And same goes for Maki and and
48:52whoever the wide receiver 2 is. If it's going to be as pure as it's been, then it's going to be terrible for whoever
48:57the wide receiver three is. very good for the top two guys. And if Nooku wasn't there, I'd be weigh in on Gadston
49:04because the Mike McDaniel last two years, 70% of the routes run by the tight ends both years from a tight end
49:12spot. John Smith, 70%, sorry, from a wide receiver spot. So, John Smith ran 70% of his routes from a wide receiver
49:19spot. So did Darren Wallen. Like I don't know, man. There's so much potential here. I just wish we had more clarity.
49:26like and Njoku being there is so very very truly annoying boggle it. It really is upsetting because if Gadston had that
49:35pure run then it could be wheels up, you know.
49:40>> I mean 100%. Gadston was very very impressive last season for a guy to for a guy to like come from where Gadston
49:48came from a fifth round pick out of Syracuse to like immediately when he got on the field like right away seven
49:54targets the first game that he played uh the 29-pointer against Indianapolis followed that up and then you know then then the offensive line started to get
50:04injured. They started playing they started playing Tucker Fist. They that was that was right about when Trey Harris started playing a lot. um as
50:11well. And you know, I don't think Addston is like Travis Kelce or like you know, George KD that the 49ers hit on in
50:16the fifth round or anything like that.
50:18Actually, I kind of think he might end up kind of having an Injokuesque style career. You know, you know, the other
50:24thing is that they did also sign Charlie Kolar to like a pretty healthy free agent deal. So, the the tight end room
50:32is pretty mucked up. And you're you're spot on about Ingold. Engold is gonna play a lot and never get the ball, but
50:39that is directly going to come at the expense of Gadston and and potentially lad Mac too, right? I mean, potentially
50:48>> unless unless they run like unless they run it out with like one wide receiver sets a lot of times, which, you know,
50:55we've seen the Ravens do that. We've seen certain teams do that. Well, yeah, that that's the problem for Gadston is that now he now he isn't just another
51:03one of those converted wide receiver Jawan Johnsony guys that probably is going to play like 40 50% of the snaps.
51:08To your Charlie Kohler point, we've also seen an iteration of this offense that uses the clunky tight end fulltime and everybody else rotates, which is the
51:16Clink Kubak Seahawks last year. AJ Barner, he ran 85% of his routes from an inline spot. And when Elijah Royal was
51:26healthy, he was kind of in that Jawan Johnson role, but not really even close to a full-time player. And that really
51:34is just not super conducive to fantasy for anybody because like, you know, Barner's blocking on like 16% of his pass plays. And I he did creep into what
51:44he did he finish he finish like tight end 13 or something crazy like that. But like that's just not the kind of player
51:48I I like. But like Kohler could just end up being an every down player and and then Njoku and Gadston and all these
51:54wide receivers rotate and it just sucks for that.
51:59>> Barner did finish as the tight end 14 last season. So, so shout out to him.
52:05You know, worth noting there is a lot of room for the Chargers to grow in that rate because they last year at a 13 only
52:12ran 21 plays. I wonder about um I guess what would it be?
52:19>> I guess >> 20 >> uh 21 >> 21 >> 21 I wonder. So they did run they did run 120 plays out of 21.
52:29>> Look how much 21 for the Dolphins though. That's the guy calling the plays.
52:32>> Yeah. Two 24% of their plays.
52:35>> 22 for the Dolphins.
52:38>> 22 >> 22 >> 22 for the Wow. The Buffalo Bills ran 144 out of that. Uh, the Chargers ran 87
52:47out of 22. I mean, eight percent. So, I mean, >> the Char, but the I surprised the Dolphins didn't have more. I guess they
52:54didn't really have an opportunity to run a lot of two tight end sets. So, that's two running backs, two tight ends.
52:58>> Well, let's go back. Let's go back to 2023 for the for 22 for the Dolphins.
53:04>> Uh, okay. Well, >> I'll go to 22. Look at 23. Look at the Texans. Look at the Texans. They're on
53:09the list now with the fullback and all that. Maybe go to 21.
53:12>> There's so many. 21.
53:14>> This is Schumer Sports you're on.
53:16>> Yeah, Zoomer Sports.
53:17>> Sports. Yeah.
53:18>> Yeah. Uh I mean there there are a lot of I I what I would really like actually would just be is there a way for me to
53:24just go >> Yeah. I wish there was a way to kind of group it together, right?
53:28>> Yeah. I was going to say just like I I would that's uh I mean I could maybe go ask there uh they they have a
53:34>> the Sumer brain.
53:36>> Yeah. Sumer brain. Just how many how many plays do the Chargers run with one wide receiver on the field and then how
53:41much do the Dolphins do? because that does feel very much like something that they would uh like to do. No, Monin is
53:51uh now the head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
53:55>> Browns. Yeah, it's it's so it's they're letting Mike McDaniel bring his >> his uh circus to town. The moment Alec
54:02Angel signed, you knew that they were like, "Okay, we're going to let you set your thing up." So that's when you saw
54:08Alec Engelled, Charlie Kohler, and when you when you go back and look like Julian Hill was the in so the Charlie
54:14Kohler for this team for from last year was Julian Hill. That guy played a decent amount of snaps and then he
54:20actually got a decent contract from the Patriots by Patriots and he also he already tore his ACL. So pretty bad signing so far. But like that guy played
54:27a ton of snaps in line and then the and then basically it was Darren Waller and Greg Doulich playing wide receiver.
54:34That's what is was so exciting for Gadston before was that Charlie Kohler was going to be Julian Durham Smi Charlie Warner Luke uh whoever the guy
54:46is now for the for the 49ers like he was going to just be the inline guy and then that would free up our guy the converted
54:54wide receiver Ronda Gadston who the coaching staff last year the literally the guys that found Darren Waller were call calling Darren Waller and then
55:01David Njoku comes out of the woodwork to screw things up. It was always going to be one of Nooku or Waller or Jonnu that
55:07was gonna sign anyway. It was gonna happen no matter what. But like I just didn't want it to happen. I I just
55:12>> I don't want no I don't I don't I don't really in any way want that to happen.
55:20Uh in Jooku and Jooku signing was bad. I was drafting a lot of Gadson. Although too watch >> although Gadston did get like an
55:28appropriate decrease in price like where Gadston's going now. I mean is is >> he was he was 10 and nine. He was 10 and
55:37nine before the signing.
55:38>> Yeah. And and you know it's we kind of like don't really do this in baseball anymore. Like the the concept of like
55:46betting on talent and beating the projection and things like that. Like it's not the it's not the cool way to play basketball.
55:53>> What happened to targets are earned, man? You used to be able to just say targets are earned and pick whoever the
55:57hell you want, you know?
55:59>> You know, that's so true, man. That's so true.
56:01>> Let's bring that back. Let's bring that back and just be like, >> you know, targets are earned. Gadston's just going to be a dog.
56:08Well, the reason why the reason why I uh I I brought that up is like I've been getting in these big long arguments
56:15about Keaton Mitchell where uh you know, some of my compatriots just just don't see it. And I'm like, man, I I think one
56:22of the things is is like I'm well, one of the big things is that I am just betting that the Chargers
56:29have enough room that they that they you know, they the team could run 500 times that, you know, I mean, we've seen McDaniel have
56:37the running back two and the running back four in fantasy the same year. You know, we I watched I was there. I
56:43watched it happen.
56:44>> Yeah. And that's why you can't to me like Hampton there's a lot of people out there I see that are just like full
56:49fading him. He just to me he can't be a full fade because no there's only a handful of guys that could come out and
56:56score like like I said earlier on the show 400 PPR points. Like what if he gets every high leverage situation?
57:02First down, pass down, two-minute drill, goal line. You could even let other guys mop up. Like that's the conditions and that's what Ham was getting. And what if
57:11they just are like, you know what, just do what you do. Do what you did over there. Do it over here. But we have way
57:16better players, so just do it here. So it could be. And that's why you can't full fade them. And then >> there's I mean there and and if the
57:25Chargers if the Chargers are as good as I mean, have the Chargers ever not won an off seasonason? The Chargers win
57:32every single offseason forever. That's uh that's that's just that's just the um >> the way it goes. But I mean, if they if
57:39they do >> if they do finally win the off season and then also win the the real season, then there's going to be a lot of mopup
57:48duty for both of these dudes to have for for both Hampton and for Katon to be able to get you. You think you think
57:55Injoku would be the Julian Hill? I mean, can Injoku block?
57:59>> He can, but Charlie Kohler is like one of the best blockers. And Charlie Kohler got like the blocking tight end
58:05contract. Like, yes, we talked about with the the Josh Oliver >> Josh the the the Josh Oliver memorial contract. Yeah, >> it's the exact one. I mean, you look at
58:16what Julian Hill got paid by the Patriots. It is it will surprise you.
58:20It's not as much as Kohler got, but it's like more than you would think.
58:23>> Dawson Knox, like that's the deal that these guys get. So, >> I I honestly don't know. Let's go.
58:28Charlie Kolar Spre. All right. I'm guessing I because I do not know this.
58:32I'm going to guess he got three years $17.5 million >> more.
58:40>> My god, man. Three years. Three for 24.
58:44>> Uh with with no out with no out, by the way, until after the 2027 season.
58:50>> Yeah. Even Mer. I mean, they need it though. Like you go back and look at and the look at the contract that uh
58:58that the 49ers gave to Luke. Who's there blocking right now?
59:05>> Luke Frell.
59:06>> Luke Farrell. Look at the contract that Luke Farrell got.
59:08>> All right. I'm going to guess I'm going to guess the same. I'm going to guess three years 24 million.
59:14>> Uh three years 15 million including a $4 million signing bonus. 11 million guaranteed. They do have an out after
59:23one year on on his deal, but uh >> up to up to 20 million in bonuses though on that one, too.
59:30>> Shout out shout out to shout out to the guys, I guess. Man, you know, if it if it works, I guess it's a it's a it's a
59:372025 Kobe Parkinson bat, a career blocker who goes to a team who kind of has a need for it. Um, yeah. The the
59:46reason why I'm asking about Kar is that my my friends over at Legup have this theory on him that it's it's not injoku,
59:53it's not Gadston, but that are our potential, you know, 65% snapshare guy for for the Chargers under McDaniel.
60:01Like he's Durham Smite but with a little bit more wiggle and move. That's literally just you you described AJ Barner like exactly just now like and AJ
60:10Barner you go to player profiler AJ Barner's top comparable player is Durham and that's the role in line but but we just saw AJ Barner like if it's AJ
60:20Barner you know at AJ Bar ADP last year if anyone was picking him he obviously outperformed it because he scored a
60:27bunch of touchdowns that could be the case that could be the case that Charlie Kohler is AJ Barner and yes he does have
60:33to block a bunch of pass plays which hurts your upside. side and yeah, he does have to run all his routes from an
60:37inline spot, but we just watched Barner do it. So, it's it's definitely not outside the realm of possibility. The problem that that that hurts the upside
60:44is that the other tight because Kohler's so good at blocking, he's never going to be the guy that gets to be the big slot
60:52guy, you know, like you're not going to make Aronda Gadston's son block a as the inline tight end so this other guy can
60:58run rounds. You're not even gonna do it with Injoko. Like, he's the best blocker on the team, so he has to do that. So,
61:03it's basically he is on a level that like he's just like a pure superstar inline tight end and the other guys turn
61:11into like Cameron Bright and just come in, you know, Anthony Fergus.
61:15>> Cameron Bra, what a good poll, dude.
61:17I've not I've not I've not gotten a Cam Bright reference in so long. That is that is perfect, man.
61:24>> Like, that's the perfect It's just like you obvious pass down. Let's just send Brad out, but the other tight end stays
61:30in the game. Like that could be the case and but and and that would be the upside case for Charlie Kohler. But does that
61:35Chad does that sound awesome to anybody?
61:37Like is that is anyone getting really excited about that?
61:40>> Not me.
61:41>> I could get I can get excited about >> you get excited. Yeah. Well, you're a sicko, dude. You're a sicko about But
61:47he's not Cam Braate in this situation.
61:49He's OJ Howard. He's the other guy.
61:52>> Yeah. Uh All right, man. Thank you for chatting ball with me. We will we will send you on your way. What time if the
61:58people want to hear you on SiriusXM tonight, brother? When when can they hear you?
62:01>> Yeah, 6:00 to 8:00 PM tonight we're jumping in. And then uh tomorrow a little bit early, 5 to seven. Uh anytime
62:09the fantasy footballers take the day off, they move our show an hour earlier.
62:12I tell those guys, take as many days off as you want, brother. Take >> it, >> right? Take them all off. I'd ra me on
62:18the afternoon. But yeah, 68 channel 87.
62:20We'll be talking a little more ball today. So, thank you for having me on, dude. And $3 million, man. is going to
62:26be the every every basketball bro is going to be rocking the uh the white yellow next year after we win this
62:32>> white white hat white hat yellow shirt.
62:34Let's see. All right. Thanks, man.
62:35Appreciate you.
62:36>> Peace.
62:37>> All right. Uh welcome welcome to the basement everybody. Uh my guy Omran St.
62:44Brown uh is here. How we doing buddy?
62:47>> Doing good. you know, all the uh the inside stuff uh over on the channel. But uh I'm >> got the World Cup going on. Uh I wish I
62:57had as many kits as you do. I got my polic and that's it. But uh it's a fun time to uh talk sports.
63:03>> Yes. I uh I I very consciously have been kind of collecting like uh vintage kits from eBay like like inexpensive ones.
63:13Like this is like a crappy like Spain practice jersey from like probably like Euro 96 or whatever. But uh you know
63:20what I you know what I I also did? I I did the I did the DHGate thing, man. And we're So now we have
63:28>> I have the So Well, anytime you do the DHGate thing, you have the sweat of are they going to steal my credit card
63:32number?
63:33>> Um are the jerseys ever going to get there? There's no customer service, bro.
63:38There's like like either you're getting it or you're not. Are the numbers gonna be right?
63:42>> Yeah. Is it gonna be the right size?
63:44Like we're we are totally gambling on uh on that, but you know, we'll we'll figure it out. Uh >> my guy,
63:52>> the New York Jets moving to Long Island.
63:54What are you thinking? What are you thinking?
63:55>> Can't happen. Can't happen.
63:57>> Can't happen.
63:58>> I I was shocked. I I put a tweet out of like this would break me. People were like, why? It'd be a good thing. It's
64:04like Long Island. Look, if you think Metife and uh that area, East Rutherford or whatever, is a [ __ ] hole, like Long
64:12Island is a [ __ ] hole. And it's also further away, more traffic. Like, at that point, I'll just take the
64:19convenience of Metife at this point. And and I guarantee you whatever they would make in Long Island would suck as well.
64:24It'd be like the same thing uh just in Long Island. And then we would lose our identity. It just I'm all set.
64:30>> Isn't it Isn't it on Long Island, too?
64:33Isn't that in that what a New Yorker would say? They say on Long Island, on Staten Island, >> I suppose. I I'm I mean, I'm not going
64:40to uh you know, I'm a Jersey boy through and through.
64:42>> Jersey boy. Yeah.
64:43>> Yeah. So, like Long Island, I I can't even tell you if I've been to I've maybe passed through Long Island, but like uh
64:51I'm all set. Like I I have no uh you know, I I I am not going to be catching an Islanders game anytime soon. I do not
64:59plan on visiting anytime soon. And if the Jets go there, I'm a fully a free agent. I I I'll put that out there as
65:05well.
65:06>> Hey, we'd love to have you in Kansas City, buddy. Come on down.
65:11>> You could be Hey, you could be a Char you could Hey, you could be a Chargers fan, dude. I mean, what what would be
65:16what would be better? All right, we are drafting out of the 12 slot in in Basketball Mania. How many How many
65:21drafts deep are you, brother?
65:23>> Um, I am I feel like I'm going to get laughed at.
65:27I am 50 drafts deep. Uh, probably another 50 or so in slows right now. So, we're we're we're easing in.
65:36>> I you you haven't you haven't streamed any yet? What's the what's the what's the plan there? When when's the stream
65:42start?
65:43>> I'm not sure. Um I'll get around to streaming eventually. It's just um I don't know. It's tough to fit these in
65:50during a workday when I'm trying to get other stuff done. Uh I know you do you and Pete do them like during the day,
65:55but it's like I'm trying to like get stuff done at this time of hour. Uh, and then >> you're trying to tell everyone about the
66:01sevenyear 2 wide receiver breakouts, dude. Like, they need to know about Matthew Golden's target profile. Come on.
66:07>> Yeah. And those, like, honestly speaking, those have a higher ROI for the channel and everything.
66:12>> It's not even close, brother. Not even close.
66:15>> And but you also do these so often that you've built an audience. Like, I don't think I would if I just went live
66:21tomorrow and didn't promote it. Like, people wouldn't really show up. So, it's kind of like sticking to a schedule and all of that.
66:27All right, Genty and HS.
66:31>> Uh, probably Genty Saquon for me, but I I want to start easing off Seaquin.
66:39>> Why do you want to start easing off Saquon? Well, let's do let's do Hampton.
66:42I'm I'm going to live a little here.
66:43We're We're going to do Hampton.
66:45>> Tell me give me give me the thesis. My My thesis is Barkley looked like um Arizona Cardinals Emtt Smith last
66:56year. That's my That's my thesis. It was It was dark dark stuff watching him play football last year.
67:01>> Honestly, it's it's less Saquon and it's more team level of the Eagles have been kind of a blue chip stock here for a
67:08little bit since got there. As much as I want I don't want to give him any credit. Uh and it I I just think things
67:15are going to fall out from this team eventually. Like it could just be this year. The the Vegas implied stuff for
67:20the first time in a while has kind of scaled them back outside of the top 10.
67:23And I don't know what if the Eagles just aren't what what if they just go through a little bit of a lull here. Uh I guess
67:29kind of similar to what the Chiefs have been the last three years of just like their offense sucks. They're going to
67:33live on defense. Uh and they potentially have a Jaylen Herz problem. I'm not as extreme as others about how good Jaylen
67:40Herz is or isn't. But >> a Jacob a Jacob Sanderson problem.
67:44People people are saying called him called him not a top 25 quarterback in the National Football League. Ron, >> he's crazy about it. But I could see,
67:51you know, they're now like knees deep in that contract, paying him top dollar money at a certain point. I like Howie.
67:58I think he's amazing. They'll probably still win games. But I just wonder if this offense, like the offensive line, right? Like Lane Johnson's old as hell
68:05at this point. I don't know. No. AJ Brown, I think is also a big deal. Like I think Devonte Smith is good, but
68:10people really forget what AJ Brown was from 2022 to 2024 as just like one of the most efficient receivers ever. So
68:18I'll be curious to see. I just think there there is some downside with the Eagles offense as much as they have been
68:24high floor in years past.
68:27>> Um I mean honestly I hadn't really thought about it but you're so right.
68:31People thought the explosion season was last year but the the implosion season could be this year where you've you've removed the scapegoat. The only
68:40scapegoat left are the quarterback and the coach. You remove AJ Brown, the best player on the offense. you replace him with a rookie with a staring problem and
68:51uh a twink tight end and and so you're sitting there looking at like, "All right, well, where are the ballers, dude? Where where where where's our
68:59where's our game breaker?" Like, where's the guy who can just And maybe it's Jaylen Herz, maybe it isn't. Um, you know, we'll see what the we'll see what
69:05the new offensive situation looks like there. Like I I'm Yeah, you're it's very like it could be like Sirani gets fired,
69:13Jaylen Herz gets cut, you know, and and that we're looking at a whole new era, you know, they take what Brendan Sorsby
69:20is the is the they they spend they spend a third round supplemental draft pick on Sorsby and all of a sudden all of a
69:26sudden how he's reinvented the team on the fly yet again. You know, how he how he's going to do whatever Twitter tells
69:32him to do for sure. And Saquon taught me a lesson that like running back is so functional of the offense that if this
69:38offense isn't good, then Saquon's a dead pick. So, yep, that's kind of how I'm thinking through it.
69:43>> All right, we've got Genty, we've got Hampton, we are about to come up for our next picks. We've got T, we got Z
69:50Flowers, we got Ted. I mean, we could take a third running back here. I I'm I'm curious kind of your after we after
69:56we do this pick, I'm going to ask your general thoughts on the running back position. What are you What are you
70:01thinking here? I'm I'm teeing Garrett Wilson here.
70:05>> All right. Hey. Hey, Gino baby. We're We're so bad.
70:08>> I'm taking a lot of Garrett Wilson, dude.
70:10>> I'm taking I'm taking a lot of Adnai Mitchell. Like I love Adai Mitchell.
70:15>> I I've I've long tweeted that he's going to outscore Omar Cooper this year. And it's not going to be close.
70:21>> Easily. Easily. So, what is the uh the Ron Stewart the the basement take on running backs have just frame mogged
70:31wide receivers each the last two seasons. None of the expensive running backs have gotten injured. None of the old running backs show any signs of
70:38slowing down. Every wide receiver too scores the exact same amount of fantasy points. What are uh what what are you just where are you at with these crazy
70:47running back starts people are doing?
70:49>> It's tough to say. I'll be honest. We're still early in terms of the research. I do want to sit down and honestly it's
70:54going to sort of really form. I know you guys did the uh FFP uh FFPC comparison stuff yesterday and like it's not good to say out loud on here
71:05like that underdog is kind of now its like own ecosystem. I'll be very curious to see how uh home leagues, FFPC, NFC,
71:12all of that kind of shakes out uh to get like more concrete thoughts. Um but I don't know. I'm still kind of living a
71:19little bit going a little bit more balanced, but the full-on zerorb teams uh not as much. But I think uh Pete had
71:27a tweet earlier today of like we're going to get the JCMs and all these guys we're going to get excited about uh in
71:33August and things will flip. But I don't know. I I'm still keeping it solid like uh balance. Like I'm not so much doing
71:41four RBs through four rounds. Just kind of mixing it around. Uh selling myself on certain players. I still would like a
71:47stud. Like our wide receiver room of T against Garrett Wilson doesn't feel awesome. Like I I would love if this team had Lamb or Ammon Rosane Brown or
71:55whatever, you know?
71:58>> I'm I'm with that. Yeah, I'm uh I'm with that. Wow, what a what an offer. Early stream tomorrow with with Mr. Mason.
72:05Won't need to stay up past my bedtime.
72:07Uh that's a that's a TBD. I'm actually sadly leaving the house tomorrow. It is my best friend.
72:13>> USA game. USA game as well. Uh I I am actually I'm traveling to Kansas City for the weekend because it is my best
72:22friend's from college. It's his uh his diaper party. He's having a kid soon. So that's a that's a TBD. Mason, I will uh
72:30I I will slide in your DMs and let you know. Yeah, I I think that there's certainly a chance that the gate has
72:39swung too far, particularly in it's just so hard to not make our brains pattern match. the fact that none of these guys
72:47have gotten injured, that Barkley hasn't gotten injured, that McCaffrey is still playing, that Taylor, who has like generally missed a couple games this
72:54season, has not really gotten injured, you know, that Derrick Henry is still like Derrick Henry's still chugging along is like brainbreaking. Like, how is this
73:04dude doing it at 33, man? It's it's completely insane. He's just own he's just owning me so hard. I've been getting stuffed in a locker. Still one
73:12of the biggest signs of relief was the 2022 season when he uh broke his foot or whatever. Yeah.
73:18>> Um >> what are we thinking here? Uh we have Burrow for the stack.
73:25>> Uh Burrow for the stack. I mean, I really like BTJ. I'm not much of a Rome guy. We could do Burrow.
73:32>> Let's do Let's do Burrow and Tyson. What do you think about that? Is that crazy?
73:40>> No, I'm I'm hip. I really like Jordan Tyson there. It's at least starting to like worry me in the back of my mind a smidge
73:50that he's still not good to go.
73:53>> Yeah.
73:54>> From his hamstring, you know, >> he continues to uh have that issue or what whatever. But I don't know. I I
74:01want to give him some time. We'll see what kind of happens. Uh, I was also going to add as well that I I think with
74:06the Zer RB conversation. I'm still d like I have teams now and this is like very uh it's funny. It's funny how
74:13things are a flat circle where I've been so anti- Kairen Williams and I'm drafting these teams where my RB1 is Kairen Williams and like the early
74:20fourth.
74:20>> Um, and I don't mind how those look. Uh, I I guess peak ship chasing zero RB era, right? uh is fully pissing everything
74:32like that. I'm definitely more balanced, but I definitely am mixing in some nasty teams cuz like maybe it's not as obvious
74:39who's going to emerge, but >> and I hate to like say it's as simple as this like something that would just be
74:46devastating is like look I can say because my hero Bree is ACL once upon a time. It's not out of the question for
74:53one of these top dogs in whether it's Gibbs or Bejon or whoever and then all of a sudden if you sneak in like a Ray
74:59Davis on your team if J James Cook goes down or uh even like Isaiah Pacheco and Brian Robinson uh there's there's outs
75:06for all these teams to work. Maybe your advancing rate is going to get hurt but we are certainly like I am certainly on
75:12the spectrum of that we are due uh not for the despair that was like the Dvonte Freeman season uh but something a little
75:19bit more harsh in that direction.
75:22Mason says we're back. Mason says we're gonna get we're gonna get a >> That's kind of where I lean as well. I'm
75:28definitely like I'm, you know, I'll definitely try and get a running back through three rounds or just depending on how things look, but uh today in a
75:35draft that I think is going to get scrapped, a guy took Josh Allen in round one, but maybe it won't. Um
75:40>> that that will not mean automatic scrap.
75:43>> That that's what I'm saying. I'm 50/50 on it, but I started the draft Ammon Ross Brown CD Lamb, which is pretty
75:47nuts. Um, so like I'm not going to veer away from a gift like that because like I got to get my running back in. You
75:54know what I mean? Like I'm very much fine taking the best two receivers. Uh, if London falls or whatever, uh, and
76:01I'll just figure it out later. I I kind of understand that on the advancement rate as a whole, it's not going to do as
76:06well. But sometimes you got to live a little.
76:09>> Sometime Hey, sometimes you do have to live a little. And um look, I mean BBMDB is is a beautiful crazy good invention
76:19and I'm so glad it exists and I'm so glad PD exists, but it has basically ruined baseball because you can't you
76:26can't have too bad of an advanced trader. Everyone's going to point and laugh at you, which uh is not is not
76:31very fun. Um I think we all you're just in such a bubble. Uh >> yes, true.
76:37>> Give me let me do Jaden Reed.
76:42Jaden Reed. Love it. Drafting a lot of Jaden Reed.
76:47>> Should we just go full Green Bay with Craft or do you want Are we spooked on the RJ Harvey shoulder thing? Because I
76:52would be drafting him here if not for the shoulder thing.
76:55>> I'm I'm not really spooked. I I think it just like it doesn't to me it doesn't really change the range of outcomes
77:00much. I guess it changes it a little bit because it gives Jonah Coleman uh a much greater chance to just like earn a role
77:09in terms of like ah he's killing it.
77:10like he's everything we wanted R.J.
77:13Harvey to be or or really maybe more like he is as good as Jal McLaclin but he's also bigger. He's 215 pounds so we
77:21don't have to use him in this like hyper specialized role. But we are getting to the point now where Harvey is getting so
77:29cheap that where it it's really a potential chance like we look back on and we're like wait this dude was a second round pick the
77:37year before scored 12 and a half points per game and 12 touchdowns and was generally pretty good and we were scared
77:44of a fourthround guy who kind of sucked for the University of Washington. Like that seems not smart. Yeah, he he is I
77:53think Jacob has written about it like the last beacon of zero RB like a very clear uh year two running back uh on a
78:01good offense behind a good offensive line that that even if if Dobbins is annoying or Coleman is annoying, he can still catch 65 balls and like Kenneth
78:09Gainwell his way into being a base hit at where he's going.
78:13You know what I mean?
78:16No, I I mean I think Harvey is maybe a little bit of the difference between best baseball and reddraft where like I
78:23think the chance that Harvey really puts together a league winning style season like even like you know 14 15 points per
78:30game I think it's pretty thin. I think they definitely want Dobbins to be involved. I think they definitely want Coleman to be involved and even if both
78:37like Dobbins could get hurt and Coleman could break his foot and then like I don't know man we'd have Deuce spawn out
78:43there getting reps or something cuz I don't think Harvey is certainly not you know Chimera Sprouls like style like he's not I don't think he's going to be
78:52insanely efficient which is a little bit of a bummer because I I think that's sort of what I had projected him to be
78:57able to do and >> I think that I think that upside is still maybe there. I think it's still maybe there. these these year two
79:03running backs sometimes all they need is a little bit of time. I I would preach that with Trevor on Henderson as well.
79:07You look back on uh you know >> year was brutal.
79:12>> Henderson I think has shown it actually.
79:14I I think Henderson has shown the speed and the the ability to generate um space and stuff. Whereas I I don't know if I
79:24see that as much with R.J. Harvey. I think he it might have been like you have Big 12 speed but you don't have NFL
79:31speed. I I think is is maybe where I'm at with um with RJ Harvey. And I could be, you know, I could be wrong. I could
79:36be wrong about all this stuff. And I'm always I'm always happy to be wrong in like wanting a player to be good but
79:41thinking he can't be good as opposed to the other way where like, oh man, really hope this guy sucks once it's clear that
79:47he is good. Um all right, we are back up. We got I mean our boy our boy Golden is here. We could we could double tap
79:55and we could take golden. Oh, love goes.
79:59>> I would have loved to do that. Um, >> we can still we can still take Golden.
80:04>> Yeah, let's take Golden regardless.
80:07>> Do you want to take Rashad White?
80:09>> I would actually love to take Rashad White. I was actually writing up uh a little Rashad White piece in an outline
80:15I'm doing. Man, I am uh I am not the target audience for the Rashad White video, >> but uh our our friend our friend
80:26>> I know >> close personal friend has 42% of uh of Rashad White.
80:32>> Having a hard time stomaching that one.
80:34I I honestly like I'm drafting him now because I'm trying to get like a bag to protect myself. But to me, I mean JCM is
80:41the one that I I really like in this backfield.
80:46Uh Rashad White is just like maybe it's too obvious that it's not going to work, but it's it it's just he's caught I
80:52think 50 balls every year of his career.
80:53He has size. Like if there's anybody that can just score 10 plus touchdowns and catch 50 plus balls, I think it's
80:59Rashad White in this offense. They got nothing going on after Terry McLaren. Uh so I don't know. It's just like very
81:06easy to talk myself into. And he's also just the profile that I really like. He kind of looks like >> fat slow guys. Yeah, I was going to say
81:13Raandre last year. Uh, in terms of kind of like what Rashad White uh he's not SL I mean he's combine fast is what I'll
81:20say.
81:22Uh but yeah, just a a profile that I can't uh these Rashad White uh Antonio Gibson Raandre big guys who can catch the ball. That's
81:34all I'm really looking for. I I like JCM, but these day three running backs after, you know, you you get you get one
81:41chance really these day three backs to kind of like uh what do you want to call it?
81:47>> No, you I so I actually >> ignite love from the coaches.
81:50>> Yes. No, I I totally agree with you on that that like it's probably more likely than not that they're going to give
81:57these other backs on the roster like multiple chances to take his job. I mean, I I've watched a lot of Kron. He
82:05is not good. Like >> I don't like I don't like Kron either.
82:08I'll say that.
82:09>> Yeah. Uh now like they have Jerome Ford and McNichols and Rashad White and this guy from University of Texas San
82:16Antonio, Robert Henry Jr. Like there are a lot of guys who can take his job, but I think the ultimate thing that's going
82:22to happen week one, the three active running backs are going to be McNichols, JCM, Rashad White. Rashad White is going to be in the exact role that we know
82:33that Rashad White is going to be in. And it is totally going to be sink or swim for JCM. Either he's going to play well
82:43or he isn't. He could very easily play his way out of a job. He could very easily play his way into a job. There's
82:47Ben Ben Standig wrote this article that was basically like hey they they kind of want to play him more because they're
82:53saying hey please figure it out on passing downs because they know I mean they dude they paid Rashad White like no
83:01I mean Rashad White got the Emanuel Wilson contract like he got the like we could cut you if we really don't want to
83:07play you contract you know. No, Rashad White is not going to get cut, but he is um >> like the whoever whoever wins the
83:15whoever wins >> baseball mania, if they live in a a no income tax state, they're going to make more money this upcoming year than
83:24Rashad White because he uh has to live in the University of or the District of Columbia. Uh missile I really like here.
83:33>> Let's do that then.
83:34>> Yeah. Uh, we probably need to take a quarterback. So, one of these guys if you like any any of the back stacks with
83:43any of these players right here.
83:45>> Let's do Cam Ward, I think.
83:48>> Yeah, I I I don't mind Cam Ward. Cam Ward has lots of back stacks available.
83:53My guy Gunner Helm, Calvin Ridley. Uh, lots of lots of options there. Me and you both like Gunner Helm, but I think
84:01Gunner's much better in baseball, but I was We were taking him in the big board last year. Uh, and then he flops at the
84:07combine. Uh, >> you know, it was a fake combine flop, though.
84:12>> What do you mean?
84:12>> Fake.
84:13>> Dude, you don't know this, Ron?
84:16>> No, >> dude. On his very first pulled something.
84:19>> No, dude. He He like basically broke his ankle, but then did all his drills anyway.
84:24>> Yes. Okay. No, no, no. I know that. I just I don't think he did that on purpose. I I just know that it was an
84:29injury uh and he just kind of against his better judgment uh just went out >> agent his agent should certainly have
84:37not have not let him run. Uh I mean yeah he got on the field right away as a rookie there like that there's already
84:43some good coach speak on him like yeah he's going to be a big part of the offense yada yada um all that stuff.
84:50>> He also maner and DK per route like all the first down sprout run yards sprout run all that you crushed him. Yeah,
84:57dude. I see. I know. Ron's such a balln knower.
85:01>> I I knew I knew we were going to be >> I knew we were going to be sympatico here. I mean, are you are you in on uh
85:06are you in on Katon Missile? Because again, some of our other unnamed friends, they can't see the vision.
85:11>> I got to be honest, it's actually funny that we take Amari and Hampton here.
85:14Amari and Hampton's someone's I'm not really drafting.
85:16>> Oh [ __ ] I didn't even realize we took them both.
85:19>> Uh oh, we did take them.
85:20>> That's fine. That's dude. Hey a Chan and Moer. It's totally fine >> with McDaniel. Uh, Hampton's so tough because I I want to get there so bad,
85:30but like where we just took him 2011 is like pretty egregious just based on what he did last year. Um, the situation's a
85:37lot better, but there's also just it it's really tough to thread the needle.
85:42He he has to hit in a big way. Uh, no, you know, crazy splits or bad efficiency. Uh, he did catch passes last
85:51year. That's fun. Um, and this offense could be really good, >> dude. It's really just does McDaniel figure it out or not? I mean, that's it.
85:58That's all it is. It's like it's like is is McD like are these guys the 2023 Miami Dolphins or are they not? Because
86:04if they are, you're going to want Katon, you're going to want Charlie Kar, you're going to want Gadston, you're going to
86:10want Injoku, you're going to want Trey, you're gonna want all these dudes because they're these are a bunch of really talented dudes with uh, you know,
86:17a really talented quarterback.
86:19>> It's an uncomfortable pick though. Like I I find it tough to draft him over like Chase Brown even. uh just as like you
86:25know RB1 of the Bengals, you kind of get what you're getting.
86:28>> Uh even his baseline outcome is probably pretty sweet.
86:33>> I don't know. We'll see him. I just wish I I I think in the Boomer drafts actually I don't know because Boomers
86:38were steaming up Genty last year. Like they sometimes just love these running backs even if they're unproven. So we'll see.
86:45>> Yeah. Yeah. All right. We have two quarterbacks, five running backs, five wide receivers. need to start thinking about what we want to do at tight end.
86:55Plenty of honestly plenty of good wide receivers that I that I don't mind taking. Um, we can probably push it on
87:03Helm. This is uh the Q sorted by ADP.
87:06Pick 150 157. What do you What are you thinking here?
87:10>> Uh, what do you think about Sadiq?
87:13>> Love Kenyon Sadique.
87:16>> I found myself really liking him in uh reddraft. Uh, we could take Spear, but that'll probably be our last running
87:22back.
87:23>> I think we're good on running back.
87:24>> Okay, then I'm open to whatever you are feeling next.
87:29>> Let's do uh let's do Debo, man. I I just keep taking I keep taking Debo. I keep taking Diggs. I've even I've even had my
87:38third eye opened a little bit to Brandon Aayuk in the end. Just a just a a little little bit. Uh cuz I mean the chances of
87:46him playing are are like I think Debo and Diggs are like 95% or whatever to play. Iayuk I'm more like 40% but he's
87:54he's a lot cheaper.
87:56>> I've been antiuk but the uh I I got to be honest the the way video the other day got me.
88:02>> Oh uh that he weighs 200 or whatever.
88:04>> That's all I had to see to be honest. He was looking a little chubby in some other photos like he wasn't taking care
88:08of himself. Look, from from one from one washed man to another, uh, you know, he hasn't been doing [ __ ] for like 6
88:17months. The fact that he's not 210 plus, he he's definitely he's not being as egregious and reckless as maybe some of
88:24us thought is what I would say.
88:28>> Yeah. I mean, honestly, you know what?
88:30But you know what really changed my tune was that I did a uh I did a I did a stream with Liam and Liam didn't talk me
88:39into it. But what did talk me into it?
88:40>> I saw his tweet which was egregious.
88:42>> Imagine Imagine Liam being right about this and you just stone faded it.
88:49Imagine, imagine Liam is right and you have like 2% Brandon Iayuk and you're like great Liam Liam's going to advance like all
88:56these [ __ ] Iayuk teams because he just was like I don't care whatever I'm taking Brandon Iuk because he was good
89:01on I don't I don't even know his fascination with Brandon Iayuk. Um like maybe he I he might have been on the
89:08bottom of his BBM2 roster or something.
89:10But I I really just thought through that and I was like I can't I can't live with that. I can't live with Liam just
89:16victory lapping Aayuk and I I've got none. I mean, on DraftKings, you can legitimately get him in like the 20th round because he has a he has a big out
89:24tag. So, I'm like, "Yeah, [ __ ] Uh, I'm I'm taking I'm taking this dude."
89:28>> And sadly, Liam has earned that. And that's honestly why I was drafting uh I I had thankfully a good bit of James
89:35Cook last year just because Liam was so loud about it. Uh, and things just kind of go his way at times. So, sometimes
89:43you just have to capitulate to Liam.
89:44It's kind of just how it works.
89:46>> Yeah. some. Hey, gotta you gotta you gotta admit when >> and I hate to say that out loud. I hope
89:52he doesn't hear it.
89:55>> I'm actually gonna go hop on a video with him uh after we after we I think he I mean I actually think he's literally
90:01streaming right now, but uh I got to go.
90:03We're we're about to make our first main event pick for for Ship Chasing. We're about to go record a a mini episode
90:09after this. All right. So, assuming we don't get sniped, >> we take Mr. Gunner Helm here. Then after that, who do you want to take?
90:19>> I talk you into Calvin Ridley.
90:22>> I have a slight preference for Judy, but I I'll hear the argument. Give me the Sell me the Calvin Ridley pen.
90:29>> I just think last year he was sold a pretty terrible bill. I think he also was just like banged up the entire year.
90:35I don't know. I just can't I just can't quit Ridley.
90:37>> I mean, he broke he he literally broke his leg, bro.
90:40>> Yeah. I mean, it was just brutal. I know that he's not in a great spot, but I could just see Ridley, you know,
90:46catching a few passes, not really being crazy good or anything, but uh I I like I'm starting to really come around on
90:52this Titans offense. I I'll hate to see it as someone who prays on Robert Solo's downfall. Uh but I could see a year one
90:59honeymoon where this thing looks decent and he's going to have this defense hum.
91:04And I'd trust Brian Dable as well to just kind of uh dumb things down for Camaro, get it to the actual good
91:09players on the team. Uh, and then they should be all right.
91:15>> I I'm not selling myself on the Titans.
91:17I mean, I think there there could be a lot of past attempts there, but I you know, every year there's always a team
91:23that's giga ass or that the market thinks is going to be giga ass and they're good or they're okay or they
91:29threaten for the postseason or whatever there. I I think it's like every year there's been a worst to first team, right, for like a decade or something, I
91:36believe. But, uh, my everyone thinks they're going to be gig ass, but actually their okay team is is the Jets.
91:43>> Yeah, I I like to hear that. I I think uh actually I'm not even that stoked to hear that because we need to get Arch
91:48and we're not going to tank hard enough.
91:49But um yeah, I I just think I think they're going to be serviceable. I think that Gino I believe in Gino. I I I
91:58believe in Gino in terms of being like a top 20 quarterback and just uh top 20 quarterback like the best quarterback
92:05we've had.
92:06in a long time since like Fitzpatrick.
92:08So, I don't know. We'll see how it goes, but I'm optimistic about the offense.
92:12There's a lot of weapons. The offensive line is good. Uh, and I just think Gino, it could be one of those like Jameus
92:17Winston type years where he like leads the league in interceptions, but like throws 25 plus TDs.
92:25>> I mean, how many teams have better 11 personnel than the Jets?
92:30>> People sleep on the offensive line, too, man. I could I I love I I was getting into arguments on Twitter. People were
92:36like, why would they extend Bree and extend Titman the interior offensive line? It's like, you know, we're we're trying to we're
92:44trying to build around the quarterback and like the offense for the first if you look back to what we gave Sam
92:48Darnold, man, like it's uh it's truly egregious. It it's truly he was out there with like Robbie Chosen, uh maybe like Corey Davis when he was bad and
92:58just a really bad team, man. So, I'm stoked that on paper I think like as well Jacob did a list or something of
93:04like the best supporting cast in the AFC and they're like in the top five and that's probably not that crazy to say.
93:10Uh there just really is a quarterback away. Um the issue is again I don't think we're going to be able to get Arch
93:15which really sucks but it is what it is.
93:18>> Brennan Sorsby, dude.
93:20>> I don't know.
93:21>> Spend the spend the supplemental draft pick.
93:23>> Uh you could I don't I don't think a third's going to be enough but like third is really my sweet spot with
93:28Sorsby. Yeah. Uh, all right. One wide receiver, one tight end here. And, uh, we might be able I'm wondering, is there
93:37any way we're going to be able to scrape out uh an A+ advance grade? Probably not, but that's fine. Uh, late round.
93:44Late round. Damn, is Ferguson gone? No, he's Ferguson is still there. Are you in on T Ferg as a third tight end?
93:51>> Yeah, I'm kind of open on everybody as a third tight end, to be honest. I can just talk myself into whoever and sleep
93:57soundly. All right, give me uh we're we're going to take T Ferg, assuming we don't get snapped here. Give me your uh
94:03give me your round 18 uh wide receiver.
94:08>> Um usually I'll go for like week 17 correlation, but I don't remember the schedule currently. I like either of the
94:14Denver wide receivers. I like Sarat. I like Horton. Those would be and I like Null. Those are like the >> I was going to say we've got we've got
94:21Null for Wisconsin Dells. We've got Booty versus the Broncos. We have got Baitman versus the Bengals, which we have stacked.
94:31>> Let's do Elijah Serat vers uh versus the Bengals now.
94:34>> Yeah, that's cool. I uh Karine Karine really likes Sirat. I I don't love Elijah Serat. Like just like uh honestly
94:44the main reason why I don't love Sirat in this is that I'm going to guess I mean I'm gonna guess he goes about 70
94:505.8% of drafts. Uh 5.8% of total teams.
94:54And then Jacobe Lane is going to be way less. Jacobe Lane's going to be like, yeah, 2%. I mean, Lane lane just like
95:02way less overall owned. And I think they're I think they're very very close in terms of uh of range of outcomes. But
95:09>> I'm pretty convicted. I think it I think it's going to be Sarat. I think Andrews is going to be so brutal to play. Like I
95:16just don't think we we'll see what happens with Andrews, but I think that there's a chance he's like unplayable.
95:20Uh and then all of a sudden Elijah Sat's like thriving in this big slot role attack. Yeah, I don't think Andrews is
95:25going to be unplayable at all, dude.
95:26They if Andrews is unplayable, they have not prepared for that as a team. They they could they Brown run out.
95:36>> They let Charlie Kar and likely go in free agency. They they could not be less well positioned. If they if they think
95:43that Andrews is cooked, they they basically just their own roster.
95:48>> Oh, they don't know it. They don't know it. The guys the guys who see him every day, they don't know. They don't they
95:52don't know it just yet uh that this guy I don't know. We'll see. Like I'm taking him because he could just fall in the
95:58end zone like 10 times, but uh we'll see. I mean, they drafted a couple tight ends that they maybe think could block.
96:05I don't know. But I just think Elijah Sarah could be like the second target earner on this team.
96:10>> All right.
96:10>> Be one of the guys you need.
