A.J. Brown

NegativeRole13:00

The source identifies AJ Brown's trade to the Patriots as the Eagles' 'one obvious major upheaval in their offense,' a significant roster change that removes a top-tier receiver from the Eagles' passing game and materially alters the offensive landscape heading into training camp.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

NegativeRole40:00

Antonio Williams is a rookie pass catcher for the Commanders. The source thinks it's a good fit but wasn't the biggest Antonio Williams fan, which may cloud his opinion. The source is willing to learn about Williams once September arrives but won't change his ranking based on training camp reviews. The co-host notes that if Williams is getting rave reviews, the source might need to shift his opinion.

Insight page

Cam Sims

PositiveInjury49:03

Suffered a significant leg injury but is on an optimistic recovery trajectory; ranked at 21 overall with potential to move up two spots to 19 if he demonstrates full health and positive workout reports continue. The source has seen some encouraging early reports suggesting the leg is recovering better than expected for his age, though upside is capped by the Giants' offensive scheme and run-game focus under Harbaugh and Roman.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

NegativeInjury13:00

Harris notes DeVonta Smith is 120 pounds with knee concerns, but expects his ranking to remain stable unless his knee injury worsens during August. The health and weight issues are acknowledged as ongoing concerns but not expected to trigger rank changes unless new injury information emerges during training camp.

Insight page

Dyami Brown

NegativeRole41:00

Diami Brown is part of the Commanders' makeshift receiving corps behind Terry McLaurin. The source notes that the receiving corps is a mish-mash of options with no clear second option.

Insight page

George Pickens

NegativeRole22:54

Pickens signed his franchise tag and showed up to everything; the source expects him to play out the season despite wanting a contract beyond this year. If he unexpectedly held out, he would drop from the back end of wide receiver one tier (alongside Nico Collins) to the T. Higgins tier (15s-16s), enough to knock him down a tier but not much further. First year with the team last year, clicked immediately, so not too concerned for the entire season.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

NegativeProjection56:36

Signed by Harbaugh to a significant contract, signaling the Giants' commitment to him as the primary tight end. Ranked 14th among tight ends overall, with the source projecting him inside the top 12 based on Nagy's historical preference for a lead tight end and the potential for Likely to become the one or two target option on the team due to necessity and design. The source acknowledges uncertainty around Harbaugh's past underutilization of Likely with the Ravens but projects better usage in Baltimore given Nagy's system and the team's receiving core situation. Likely is at peak valuation and unlikely to move higher, with downside risk if he assumes a Ravens-like role with minimal increase in targets.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveRole26:00

Javante Williams is locked in with a new contract making real money; he's the clear lead back for the Cowboys. The source notes that 365 days ago there was uncertainty with Miles Sanders and two rookie running backs in the conversation, but Williams is now definitively the guy.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeProjection0:55

Harris ranks Jayden Daniels QB7 for 2025 after a disastrous 2024 season marked by multiple injuries (knee, hamstring, elbow) and poor tape. While acknowledging his elite running ability and deep-ball accuracy as a rookie, Harris notes the floor is lower than expected due to Cliff Kingsbury's departure from Washington, the team threatening to put Daniels under center more, an untested receiving corps beyond Terry McLaurin, and an unchanged poor offensive line. Harris explicitly resists changing his rank based on positive training camp reports, framing the decision as balancing last year's scary performance against the possibility of returning to form if healthy. A co-host ranks him QB4, citing thousand-yard rushing upside as the key to his appeal—one of the few quarterbacks that could finish as number one QB if healthy—and notes the new offensive coordinator and system shouldn't change the ranking because it comes down to his rushing ability and health. The co-host is more concerned about injury risk, invoking the RG3 comparison and noting that last year people drafted him as a top-three QB with a chance to be number one, but after his injury, he dropped to QB8 or QB9, seeing a range of outcomes that weren't believed possible going into last year.

Insight page

Jerome Ford

NegativeRole36:00

Jerome Ford is now on the Commanders roster as of the episode date. The source compares the Commanders backfield situation to the Browns backfield from two to three years ago, which included Jerome Ford, Kareem Hunt, Nick Chubb, Deonta Foreman, and Pierre Strong. The source notes that in that situation, none of those running backs were worth drafting, and the same could happen with the Commanders.

Insight page

Kaytron Allen

NegativeRole35:00

Katron Allen is a rookie in the Commanders backfield and is part of an uncertain running back situation. The source advises not over-committing to any of the Commanders running backs (Rashad White, Ja'Cory Krosky Merritt, Katron Allen) because none of them are great and the offensive environment is uncertain. The Commanders backfield situation reminds the source of the Browns backfield from two to three years ago, which included Jerome Ford, Kareem Hunt, Nick Chubb, Deonta Foreman, and Pierre Strong—a situation where none of those running backs were worth drafting.

Insight page

Makai Lemon

PositiveProjection13:38

Jake Seeley ranks Makai Lemon at 34 PPR (Harris at 40 standard), expressing a higher opinion than most of the rookie receiver and his fit in Sean Mannion's offense. Seeley believes Lemon and Hurts can work together in the Mannion scheme and is already near his ceiling on the player; he would only move Lemon down if training camp reveals injury lingering, limited two-receiver set usage, heavy slot deployment, or poor connection with Hurts. Harris is maxed out on Lemon in PPR (around 31 rank) and expects camp exuberance won't raise him further, but both analysts are comfortable with sixth-round reaches given the multitude of picks available.

Insight page

Malik Davis

NegativeValue28:00

Malik Davis is ranked in the top 80 running backs but is not draftable or really handcuffable. The source wrote a profile for the almanac but notes the ranking is low. Given that Phil Moffat didn't play and Jaden Blue played occasionally and didn't look good, Davis is not a reliable handcuff option.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeInjury46:12

Underwent a second knee procedure in April; ranked at 26 overall with significant uncertainty around recovery timeline and readiness. The source frames this as a placeholder rank with a wide range of outcomes: upside to 10 if he returns healthy and participates in preseason, but downside to 40 if he doesn't participate in training camp or preseason and starts the season on the PUP list. As of late July, no field participation or positive reports have emerged, which the source notes is unusual given the typical optimism around player health at this time of year.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

NegativeProjection42:00

In a hypothetical signing with Washington, Diggs would serve as a complementary slot receiver to balance the Commanders' makeshift receiving corps behind Terry McLaurin. The source notes Diggs still had something left last year and the Commanders lack a slot option. Diggs had an efficient role with the Patriots last year with easy volume, but good playoff defenses cut down on him because he lacks the ability to beat man coverage out of the slot anymore. If signed, Diggs would likely be a flex-level player with five-yard stops, six catches for 74 yards, and random touchdown chances. The source would rank Diggs in the 40s as a wide receiver if he's the number two option in Washington—a better fit for Diggs to not be asked to be the primary option, operating in the 40-60% snap range similar to his efficient late-season Patriots role.

Insight page
NegativeRole44:55

In a hypothetical trade scenario to Washington, Diggs would serve as a complementary receiver to balance the Commanders' receiving core; the source notes this would be a better fit for Diggs as a number-two option rather than a primary target, allowing him to operate in the 40-60% snap range similar to his efficient late-season role with the Patriots.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveProjection37:00

Terry McLaurin is ranked at WR17 by the source and is expected to maintain that ranking coming out of training camp regardless of other roster moves. The source notes that McLaurin's ranking should not change based on training camp hype or new offensive coordinator news. Even if the Commanders sign Stefan Diggs, the source would not move McLaurin up or down from WR17. The source thinks adding Diggs would be a really nice complementary fit alongside McLaurin.

Insight page

Theo Johnson

PositiveRole55:15

Giants tight end who played well last year with some splash plays but also made mistakes; is a strong blocker and was expected to be the team's primary tight end option. However, Harbaugh's signing of Isaiah Likely to a significant contract signals a shift in the tight end hierarchy. The source ranks Likely well ahead of Johnson, suggesting Johnson will assume more of a blocking role while Likely handles the receiving duties, though Nagy's historical preference for a lead tight end could create some target opportunity for Johnson.

Insight page

Tyrone Tracy

PositiveValue50:03

Backup running back to Cam Sims ranked in the 40s; offers terrific value in later rounds as a handcuff with significant upside. If Sims is injured, Tracy would receive approximately 60% of the workload, which is a substantial opportunity in the current NFL landscape where few backs exceed 60-75% snap share. The source views Tracy as a strong value play independent of Sims' preseason performance, noting that even a 50-50 arrangement would be valuable given the Giants' offensive context.

0:00It's the Harris Fantasy Football Podcast with your host Christopher Harris.
0:03Welcome! Hey everybody, welcome in. My name is Chris and this is a show about things and stuff and hello there yacht possums.
0:10Oh, I see you out there jogging. I see you mowing the lawn.
0:15I see you picking the kids up from school.
0:17Hey kids, what's up? Thank you so much to all of you for listening.
0:22It's a pleasure to be back in your ear holes, in the groove with our second of four weeks on the main show in July.
0:29Two shows per week, Tuesdays and Fridays, all leading up to August 3rd big date in the possum universe this year.
0:36We are shifting that date back to an everyday calendar.
0:39Definitely starting to feel it. Training camps in a couple of weeks.
0:43A new NFL season upon us. Very cool. Very fun.
0:46And by golly, as of this weekend, I am, I'd say 99% done with my part of the almanac.
0:52The writing basically done. The ranks, the appendices, all that stuff.
0:55It is now kind of being looked at by some friends to see if there are kind of any glaring obvious mistakes.
1:02The art is still getting finalized, but I have seen what the art is going to look like and it's really awesome.
1:08I think you're going to get a huge chuckle.
1:11I'm working with a new illustrator and he's been doing a fantastic job.
1:15I can finally take a deep breath and feel good once more.
1:19I have won my race with the devil and the almanac will in fact be out on that same date, August 3rd, three weeks from yesterday.
1:27That'll be almanac day. I can't wait for you to finally be able to read it.
1:32I've been writing it for a long time. I think you'll get a good chuckle, hopefully a fair bit of football insight out of it.
1:40You can pre-order right now. You are certainly under no obligation.
1:43I'm very lucky to have you listening. I appreciate you for that.
1:47If you'd like to pre-order the almanac, you can.
1:50HarrisFootball.com. Today, we're talking about some NFC East teams.
1:52How about reading a profile from an NFC East team?
1:55We probably won't talk that much on the show about Jaden Daniels because I'll just say, I think he's almost like a
2:02perfect example of someone, unless he's hurt, we're going to try to resist temptation to change our rank on him, our opinion on him.
2:10I'm borderline positive the news on Jaden Daniels will be nothing but glowing.
2:14Oh, he's healthy. He looks great. Amazing. So the temptation will be, well, you know, we had him QB3 last year.
2:20Why are we not elevating him? Have you heard what the beat reporters have said?
2:25He hasn't thrown an incompletion in three days worth of drills.
2:28Exactly why we do these July shows to weed out the irrational exuberance and not change based on positive reports.
2:34So instead of talking about him later, which I don't know if we're going to do, but I tend to think we're not.
2:41How about I read you Daniels' 2026 profile now?
2:44It goes something like this. Jaden Daniels' second pass of the 2025 season should have been picked.
2:49A deep out to Debo Samuel, the route was jumped by not very good corner Cordell Flott, and every commander's heart was in their throat.
2:57But Daniels survived that wobbly beginning, played it fairly conservative thereafter in a sleepy 21-6 win week one over the Giants, and
3:04blew his only real chance to make a big play by overthrowing wide-open Terry McLaurin in the second quarter.
3:10Folks who'd selected Daniels as high as QB3 in their fantasy draft sighed.
3:14Daniels rushed for 68 yards, including two option keepers and two QB draws.
3:18A modest beginning, but no disaster. The disaster came four days later.
3:21On a Thursday night in Green Bay, after three quarters in which Washington was stuck on three points and about 100 total
3:28scrimmage yards, on the first play of the fourth, Daniels was flushed left by Micah Parsons, tried to scramble, and took a
3:35helmet shot from Javon Bullard on his knee. Daniels stayed in that game, but missed the next two.
3:41Week five was a win against the Chargers, but Daniels wore a chunky knee brace and did not wow.
3:46Week six, he threw three touchdowns and led a stirring comeback, but subsequently blew the game by fumbling with three minutes left.
3:53Week seven, he lasted barely more than a half before a sack fumble forced him to leave with an injured hamstring, whereupon he missed week eight.
4:01Then in week nine, he was trailing 38-7 in the fourth quarter against the Seahawks and suffered a gruesome dislocated elbow, trying
4:08to run in a touchdown from the five. He attempted a week 14 comeback in Minnesota, a 31-0 loss, and lasted partway
4:15through the third before throwing a red zone pick and re-injuring his elbow, trying to run down the interceptor.
4:21For a skinny running quarterback, it was the sum of all fears.
4:24What Daniels put on tape as a second-year player was awful.
4:28We just have to hope it's all fruit from the poisonous tree.
4:31In a best case, the week two knee injury removed his top gear and made him easier to defend from sideline to
4:38sideline, which allowed defenses to tee off against what turned out to be a poor offensive line.
4:44In a worst case, the angst and agita folks had about Daniels before the 24 draft prove correct.
4:49He's Bobby Three Sticks. I don't think so. Or, rather, I hope not.
4:53I still have visions of Daniels serene in the pocket, firing darts to deep targets in his rookie year.
4:59Can you fake that? I admit, I can't promise Daniels is as good as we all believed when he led Washington to
5:06the NFC title game as a rookie. Cliff Kingsbury's gone from D.C.
5:09The team is threatening to put Daniels under center more.
5:13The receiving core beyond McLaurin is at best untested.
5:15And that bad offensive line is mostly unchanged. A healthy Jaden Daniels theoretically has that tantalizing combo of elite running and deep ball accuracy.
5:23So, if you're ready to walk on the wild side, give him another try in 26.
5:28But the floor is obviously lower than we hoped.
5:30So, that's the end of that profile. But then, it just so happens, that's another one where you get a cousin Josh says.
5:38And here's what cousin Josh says about Daniels. I can't do the voice.
5:42I just gotta read it in my voice. I'm terrified.
5:45At the risk of sounding like a douche. He did say that.
5:48Drafting Jaden Daniels this year feels almost exactly like any time I order a martini outside the U.S.
5:54Their vermouth could be sitting at room temperature. I have no idea what kind of garnish I'm getting.
5:59Are they shaking it? Are they stirring it? What kind of water are they using to make their cubes?
6:05The range of outcomes is just wild. One time, I didn't know the language and I got a pepper-tini.
6:11A martini soaked with banana peppers. Get out of here with that.
6:15So, my problem with Daniels? If I draft him, I don't know whether I'll be getting a nice, mellow buzz, I'll enjoy
6:22all evening, or if I'll immediately need to wash the taste away with goldfish crackers.
6:26You can't fake cousin Josh. Truly. I'm a fiction writer.
6:29I can't do his voice. So then there are film grades in the almanac for Daniels because there are film grades in
6:36the almanac for every non-rookie that I wrote a profile for.
6:40And I give you kind of a little color coding in there to let you know what grades changed from the previous year.
6:47I dropped Daniels' vision grade down to a B.
6:49His running grade stayed strong, though, you know, he's an obvious A+, as long as he's healthy.
6:55He's my QB7 because you're just trying to balance it out.
6:58Last year was scary. We certainly could pick right back up where 2024 ended, as long as he stays healthy.
7:04But yeah, I'm not sure enough about it to feel exactly the same way, to extend myself in a draft to get him.
7:11He's probably either coming to me when, you know, I'm ready to pick a quarterback or I'm passing by on that risk.
7:18But yeah, if you'd like to check out the almanac, pre-order for delivery in just 20 days, harrisfootball.com.
7:24Today's kickoff. Okay, on today's show, our division-by-division preview of NFL training camps and the stories we will and won't allow our opinions to change over, it continues.
7:32We'll look at the teams of the NFC East.
7:35Of course, that means Eagles, Cowboys, Commanders, and Giants.
7:38Our goal is to be flexible in cases where we understand something could materially change and then not be flexible in our
7:45ranks and opinions when the true nonsense starts about players that we aren't going to believe anything about unless they're injured.
7:51To help us keep our eyes on that particular prize, Jake Seeley of The Athletic will join the show.
7:57I do think you'll have a fun time listening and I really do thank you again so much for listening today.
8:03We are sponsored again this season by Blueland. I'm going to talk about laundry here because I use nothing but Blueland laundry
8:10tablets in my washing machine and I haven't thrown out a plastic bottle of laundry detergent in three plus years, but I
8:17could just as easily be talking about hand soap, dishwasher tablets, toilet bowl cleaner, surface cleaner, glass cleaner.
8:23If you've ever felt weird and bad about so many plastic bottles that you throw away, you know it's horrible for the planet.
8:30This is such an easy change to make and yes, that certainly includes the laundry tablets, 100% plastic free, microplastic free, made
8:36without dyes and harsh chemicals, hypoallergenic, safe for sensitive skin including kids.
8:40It's just simple. When you run out of tablets, they send you more.
8:44No plastic involved at all. And Blueland is a certified B Corp and Leaping Bunny cruelty free certified.
8:50Their formulas are EPA Safer Choice certified and many products have earned Cradle to Cradle's Gold Material Health Certificate.
8:56Make the switch today and get 15% off your first order at blueland.com slash Harris.
9:00Something really easy. It does make a difference. B-L-U-E-L-A-N-D dot com slash Harris.
9:04Blueland dot com slash Harris. Today's guest. She spotted the ocean then changed our plans Why are we going so far away?
9:11Of course, Jeans in the Ocean. And in fact, something you don't know that Jake knows is that as the Zoom call
9:18got started and I was waiting for Jake to show up, what was I doing, Jake?
9:23You were singing Jeans in the Ocean. I could, I have to, for everybody out there that doesn't know, Chris actually has
9:30a really good singing voice and I wasn't sure if he was playing it as a joke of like hold music for
9:36me or if that was really him in the background.
9:39So I was trying to figure it out and then I know like you could kind of tell when you're listening to
9:46an acoustic guitar and then I'm like, oh my God, he's actually playing it.
9:50I was serenading Jake as he joined the show.
9:53I was playing a little, playing a little, whatever that is, 30 year old song but we love your walk up song.
10:00It is quite good. Real quick, to jump in, sorry not to cut you straight off the top but here, there was
10:07somebody on Blue Sky who responded to Andy Barron's, a good friend of yours and mine and said that Lee Cronin's Mitch
10:14McConnell, that's what Andy said, looks pretty good and somebody responded and said, who besides All In Kid would wear blue and jeans in a hospital bed?
10:22I was like, how do you not tag Chris on that?
10:25I did not see that. I was not tagged.
10:28Oh, poor Turtle Mitch. I hope the soup is good.
10:31All right, brother. Well, thanks for coming on and I'm glad, I'm glad I could sing you a little tune as we
10:38came in, got the guitar out at seven in the morning or whatever it is.
10:43You are, of course, still writing for The Athletic, all of our good friends there and so folks can check out all
10:49your work as that begins to compile there at The Athletic.
10:53You also just, you were on hiatus for a couple months but you're back with the All In Speed Run podcast so
11:00you get the breakneck pace of the speed run back already.
11:03I think you're not all the way back pacing wise, nor am I but like, you're doing some shows in July and
11:10then it's all all aboard in August. Yep, that's how it goes basically one, maybe two a week depending in August and
11:17then full on board to possibly three a week in the season depending on how things break out this year but yeah, I always appreciate you mentioning that.
11:25All right, All In Speed Run, just give it a nice little subscribe.
11:29It's a quick burst of a listen and we love it and you are here, you are a long time recipient of
11:36the fascist email, you are here to heed the rules of all the underlines and all the bolds and all the entreaties
11:43to stick to training camp because we are previewing training camp and my goal is to come up with eight shows and
11:50a list of things and players that we will be willing to change our opinions on based on what beat reporters say
11:56and then a much larger list of players that we are not going to listen to the fluff unless they are hurt
12:03and they are staying where they are in our ranks and of course your ranks are different from my ranks so it
12:10is not like we are trying to convince one another that we are right or we are wrong we are mostly just
12:17saying whatever our opinions are right now they are fully baked and I don't know if you know how we came up
12:24with which division you are going to do but it is because on the Yacht Club show yesterday I asked Andy your
12:30colleague at the Athletic as it were I said all right well Jake's coming on the main show tomorrow what division should
12:37he do and he goes NFC East and I go okay oh is that because he is kind of a Giants fan
12:44even though he is trying to make himself through his own sanity trying to make himself not be a Giants fan and
12:51he said no it is because he has some wild takes on the commanders and I was like oh okay really I
12:57actually would have guessed the same thing you did right I think he might have been kidding but I'm not smart enough
13:04to get his joke so we are doing the NFC East teams so let's start it out with the Eagles because they
13:11have one obvious major upheaval in their offense it's AJ Brown getting traded to the Patriots that is a big deal and
13:18Devontae Smith you know whatever you and I have done with Devontae Smith in our ranks he's 120 pounds and his knee
13:25hurts but he's you know unless his knee hurts in August he's probably staying where he's staying the question is what can
13:31we learn in training camp about everybody else and the main person of everybody else is probably the rookie Makai Lemon I
13:38wonder you know you ranked him where you ranked him I ranked him where I ranked him but I wonder if you
13:45will be susceptible to hype because I'm assuming he's a first round rookie receiver he'll probably look great in the uniform he'll
13:52probably look great in drills he'll probably look great in an exhibition game do you have a little bit of sensitivity to
13:59the idea that he has an awesome August does he can he rise a little bit in your ranks with an awesome
14:05August so I'm actually going the other direction because I have I try not to do what we always try not to
14:12do and fall into confirmation bias but I have a higher opinion seemingly than most of Makai Lemon and the fit in
14:19this offense under Sean Mannion so my effect of the offseason would be actually to move him down my ranks I think
14:26that if we see that this injury and the fact that he's already missed some time continues to linger or that plays
14:32into the fact that hey you know what it doesn't sound like he's going to be on the field all the time
14:39and two wide sets and it's maybe a lot of slot like we hear from Omar Cooper with the Jets and you
14:46know that's going to be an effect of his you know share for the entire offense or you know what Mannion's offense
14:53is taking Hurts more time than we thought like there's a lot of factors in here where I actually have them you
15:00said where we ranked them I have them at 31 I have them behind the other two but they are back to
15:06back to back because I do think Lemon and Hurts and the fit in the Mannion offense can work so I'm saying
15:13like I want to get my full spiel on that because I know that's not what you're looking for but I'm presenting
15:20that to say as you asked can I move him up I actually think I'm kind of almost as high as I
15:27can get on him because I believe so if we see all the things just aren't working and there's a lot of
15:34reporters saying you know what it might be a slow start you know what it might be second half of the season
15:40before they trust him into why the connection isn't there Hurts for as good as he's been over the middle and we
15:47know how limited he throws over the little it's just not clicking like we thought then I'm going to start sliding back
15:54like I'm starting at the top and my only room is to come down on him so you're maxed out and I
16:01don't really look at ADP we're not far off from each other I have him I think 34 among receivers okay well
16:07I guess that's PPR I'm 40 standard so maybe not that far off 34 PPR under the theory as you say that
16:14you know however much middle of the field there might wind up being might go to the Amon Ross St.
16:20Brown clone we're sold as not probably St. Brown clone and I'm kind of as you're talking I was like interrogating my
16:27own feeling about the PPR rank being being a bit higher being closer to where your rank is and is there anything
16:34that they could do in August that would like convince me aha they've unlocked Jalen Hurts throwing over the middle and aha
16:41I now you know really feel convicted that 34 is a great spot for him probably not probably I don't think you
16:48can really believe that until you see a game so maybe I agree with you maybe it's worth paying a little bit
16:54of attention just to how much he's on the field like when beat reporters look at formations and stuff and if we
17:01get the starters at all in exhibition games even though that's always such a scary game to play but it's worth saying
17:08okay there's a lot of Dontavian wicks and two receiver sets I mean they don't run a lot of two receiver sets
17:15they're going to run three a lot but yeah I think that's probably right I think probably he's maxed out at least
17:22in full PPR for me it puts him like in an eighth round kind of consideration for me in standard like a
17:28seventh round and you know last week we said this a couple of times for a young player we said this with
17:35Jordan Tyson too for a young receiver who you know isn't doing the Marvin Harrison isn't getting drafted at the beginning of
17:42the second round you know if you're talking about seventh round if you're going to eighth round probably neither you nor I
17:49can get mad at somebody for saying well you know what I want to make sure I get him so I'm going
17:55to take him in the sixth round or whatever like you're not going to blow your draft we screw up sixth round
18:02picks all the time like it isn't going to completely mess you up to like take the shot on him as your
18:09you know number three wide receiver for example so I guess it's a case where maybe some camp exuberance we're probably not
18:16going to raise him any but we're going to feel more comfortable you and I where we have him and we're going
18:23to be okay if people reach a little exactly I think that's a really good way to put it and it's funny
18:29that I was doing another podcast or another one they asked what are your some of your draft tips and I think
18:36what you just said is that everybody's like oh you know you don't want to go too crazy and you know buy
18:43all the hype and all that type stuff but then at the same time let's remember we have a multitude of picks
18:50between our two rounds like if you're looking at it hey I want to take him to six to make sure that
18:57nobody snags in the seventh if that's going to break your draft you did a lot of other things wrong already yeah
19:03that's that in and of itself isn't going to break your draft because we because like if you look at the sixth
19:10round in ADP from last year or the year before more than half the picks blue you know that's just the way
19:17it is exactly it's very difficult to know I don't I don't have too many other specific Eagles topics for you other
19:24than to say you know if we had we did we gathered you and I on this show maybe not talking about
19:30the Eagles but like last year if we had gotten together to list the offenses we trusted you know I'm always trying
19:37to make situation be the smallest part of why I like a player because situations just change offenses change so much from
19:44year to year so we're trying to make that list of teams that we really super trust we that's like a circle
19:51trust that's small each summer but I think we probably both would have put the Eagles in it coming off a Super
19:58Bowl coming off Barkley's insane season coming off hurts being Super Bowl MVP and having two great receivers and like that would
20:04have been one of the offenses we trusted and clearly by the end of the year the Eagles didn't even trust it
20:11they they poop canned the offensive coordinator they're out on kind of everything trying to redo the offense so we're not going
20:18to put the Eagles offense in our circle of trust right now no no AJ Brown and like the offensive line is
20:25a bigger question and I think we so my question I'm sorry it's a long wind up but is there anything I
20:32think the answer is obviously no I'm asking you a leading question but like can you get your headspace back to the
20:38point where they enter that whatever it is three team five team circle of trust by the end of training camp man
20:45it's pretty much no because I agree it's tough to it's it's tough to say you know like okay Sean Manion's offense
20:52is so much better there's more play action there's more over the middle there's blah blah blah like that's all great until
20:59we see it actually work in game action and that's coming from somebody who's gone on arguments about the hate that hurts
21:06gets for not throwing over the middle so that's coming from somebody that's very much in support of this can work but
21:12it's pat it's no pads it's pads and practices it's preseason like I just don't know that we're going to get a
21:19definitive answer to say you know what yeah I can say it'll be better than last year similar to the commanders which
21:26we'll talk about later when you don't have somebody that has a one trick that doesn't seem to work anymore but at
21:33the same time like I don't think it's going to be enough to say oh they're definitively inside the top five I
21:39don't think I can get there I go to the gym just about every day and I know the impediments to the
21:46discipline you need to have to keep going to their gym that's why I use the FitBod app and I recommend it
21:53to all my friends I really do why do people stop with their fitness routines sometimes you get bored sometimes you get
22:00frustrated with a plateau FitBod can help with both of these the app creates a personalized workout routine based on what you
22:07tell it your goals your current fitness level and you don't need to be in great shape to get started and your
22:13available equipment if any so you get a good routine and then FitBod tracks your progress and always mixes things up you
22:20won't get bored and you'll get enough variation you usually won't plateau my favorite part if you have any questions about how
22:27to do an exercise they have like more than a thousand videos there will be a video for it I use that
22:34regularly this summer push your progress and see what you're really capable of try the FitBod app for free for seven days
22:41at fitbod.me slash Harris and then when you subscribe get 25% off fitbod.me slash Harris this can really help I love it
22:47fitbod.me slash Harris we are back with Jake and we're talking about the training camps for teams of the NFC East and
22:54we're on to the Dallas Cowboys who have it just seems like every year it's kind of the same story with the
23:01Cowboys like oh well yeah a lot of good skill guys there's no real competition for anything we care about for fantasy
23:08I guess you know I don't want to linger too long on the possibility George Pickens is going to hold out he
23:14signed his his tag he's he says he's not going to he showed up to everything as much as I think he's
23:21a knucklehead you know and he obviously wants a contract beyond this year but just seems like he's going to play out
23:28the season I guess I probably should ask it this way because I'm just imposing my view on you like if if
23:35if he winds up changing his mind Pickens and holding in I mean we would clearly have to react like what would
23:42you do if that were the case I mean I don't think it's what you expect correct if he did unexpectedly like
23:48do you do you dip him pretty far it wouldn't be far but enough to knock him out of the tier I
23:55have him in like I'm the back end wide receiver ones with like the Nico Collins his teammate and others like that
24:02I think the hold in would be enough to say you know what I'll drop him down to the T Higgins the
24:0916s 15s just to it's a little bit more risk baked in and it's not a ton I'm with you I don't
24:16expect it to happen but if it did and I always go back to referencing I did an interview with Mike Tomlin
24:22years and years and years ago and this was Le'Veon Bell missing the beginning of the season and I asked him if
24:29he was concerned and the quote that I always love to reference from him is that Tomlin said there's a difference between
24:36he said I know every player is going to show up in shape obviously that's not 100% true but his point behind
24:43it is I know they're all going to show up in shape he's like there's a difference between training shape and in-game
24:49shape so to miss those reps we've seen it from other players before does take a little bit of effect for the
24:56first few games so it's enough to say you know what if I have to get somebody like Pickens and he's off
25:03to a slow start in the first two games aren't Pickens it's enough to knock him down a tier but not I
25:10wouldn't go much further than that we got first year you know this first year with the team last year came in
25:17and like click immediately so I'm not too concerned for the entire season yeah and plus we don't really expect it the
25:23fact is there's not that much that we're going to learn in training camp with the Cowboys unless it's a bunch of
25:30injuries or a bunch of like negative stuff they just can't keep from leaking out it shocks me that it's worked out
25:37this way with Pickens because I I just think it's very very bad policy to be playing under a one-year deal when
25:44you're a veteran receiver I know he's making a lot of money this year but if I was his agent I would
25:51forbid this I would say sorry man you're you're going out there with a with a full deal or you're not going
25:57out there you know that you need to make it hurt and I mean he's being agreeable and I guess I don't
26:04know if I admire it so much he's certainly taking it's taking what seems like a team first attitude for a player
26:11who let's just say how many years has he been in the league four years I wouldn't have put George Pickens high
26:18on the list of team first players before this I agree with you there yeah so I mean given that you know
26:25boy you think about 365 days ago and the questions about that backfield everyone was on short money Miles Sanders had a
26:31good chances Javante Williams to be the starting running back they had two rookie running backs that people were talking up you
26:38want to talk about training camp hype last year I heard about Jaden Blue a lot in training camp last year and
26:45he wound up not doing anything so you know Javante is locked in he gets his new contract he now is making
26:52real money this probably seems like you know everybody knows the Cowboys are the loudest team in the league no question about
26:58it any news gets magnified with the Cowboys do you view this just as a training camp where you're you're sort of
27:05as a as a listener who's listening right now your goal should be just every time you see a hype video about
27:12Dak Prescott every time you see how CeeDee Lamb is perfect now all that stuff just click just move along I was
27:19gonna say change your algorithm so you can just not see them anymore just because yeah like you said it's just gonna
27:26be hype hype hype hype and I'm sure there'll be some plays will be like oh it's Jaden Blue time we told
27:32you last year you know I had that work out and then Leak Davis ended up being the backup the entire year
27:39and somebody will talk up Phil Moffat at some point after he breaks a tackle so I think this is more of
27:46a collection of parts that you know it would be tough for me to sit here at the end of the preseason
27:53be like you know what blank is definitively the guy to go to if something were to happen to Javante Williams I
28:00just don't think we're gonna get that answer yeah and would yeah like would it ever just be one guy I Malik
28:06Davis looked fine last year I wrote Davis a profile for the almanac he's in the top 80 running backs in my
28:13ranks but like it's low you know he's not draftable he's not really handcuffable but just I mean given that Phil Moffat
28:20didn't play and given that Jaden Blue very played various occasionally and didn't look very good when he did I yeah I'm
28:27like yeah I think I think I'll say I'm Lake Davis but not as a handcuff agreed yeah it's just it's a
28:33it's a training camp probably we're just best off unless there's negative stuff unless there's injuries we're just not gonna we're gonna
28:40do our best not to react and as such let's move on to the Washington commanders I actually really go I read
28:47Jaden Daniels's profile since Daniels is like the only one you know we're kind of not gonna talk about because the whole
28:54thing is either gonna sink or swim on Daniels and you know I guess I will ask about Daniels just to say
29:01my general message on him at the top of the show was well he's my QB seven and he might be your
29:07QB something else but probably training camp and you know the glowing conversation about the kumbaya everybody's singing about the new offensive
29:14coordinator and the new system and all that stuff that stuff probably shouldn't it can we'll talk about how it affects other
29:21stuff but it probably shouldn't change the way you're ranking Jaden Daniels because I presume your rank of Jaden Daniels is fairly
29:28optimistic saying well he was hurt last year and that's all it comes down to for me I am higher I'm a
29:35QB four and it just really comes down with it yeah sure yeah and it's like okay yeah David Blau and all
29:41that type of stuff which I'm sure we'll talk about a little bit more at some point or just you know the
29:48fact like you said everything's supposed to be better I made the joke earlier that Cliff Kingsbury one trick pony and people
29:55it works for about half a season and then everybody's like oh wait it's just Cliff Kingsbury why are we trying to
30:02play anything different against him and then it stops working and you look at Blau and we're gonna have but it all
30:08comes down to as you said like we can go through that and the same thing with Manion with the Eagles and
30:15be like oh it should be better should be no it just comes down to I don't even need Jaden Daniels to
30:22be an elite passer it's just how many quarterbacks have a thousand yard rushing upside into I think he gets there probably
30:29not even with 17 games it's just pick your poison if you want to stay away from him because you're afraid of
30:36the injury risk sure I'm just not gonna play that game not saying you are by having them so significantly you're three
30:42spots lower than me what are you still saying pretty much the same thing it just comes down to the biggest takeaway
30:49I have on Daniels and then we can just move on from him Chris is that it's so funny that last year
30:56people were drafting him definitively as top three saying he has a chance to be the number one quarterback and now the
31:03injury season happens everybody's like yeah I don't want him anymore let's move him all the way down to nine or eight
31:10or something like that and so it just it really comes down to if he's healthy he still has he's still one
31:16of the few quarterbacks that could finish as a number one yes and if one want I mean I'm probably taking the
31:23position that I'm a little more concerned about I'm staying healthy I got the RG3 thing invoked in my head I am
31:30I can see a range of outcomes that I didn't want to believe was possible going into last year which probably explains
31:37my rank for the purposes of right now like I agree we're not really that far off but you're a little more
31:44willing to reach for him than I am and I respect it and of course completely understand it the point being I
31:50hope he's still your QB4 coming out of training camp I hope he's still my QB7 I don't want to yes succumb
31:57to the hype and or the like oh it's a mess oh boy they can't they can't tie their shoes like no
32:04it's gonna all be like we can't we should probably be holding our water on Jaden Daniels but the backfield the running
32:11backs I feel like that I don't know I'll ask it do you feel like that could be a case where there
32:17are those forking paths story-wise where we could hear a bunch of different possibilities that we don't know yet and it could
32:24significantly change where we have those running backs slotted this is one of the ones where I do think we could as
32:31of right now I have them two of them in the fringe RB3 conversation that being white and cross key merit but
32:38I think there are forking paths here I think that's just really going to come down to if it was a non-change
32:45in offensive style and coach then sure we could make you know a point to a little bit for what happens last
32:51year because we have that but as blouse taking over you know a draft I'm not I don't think a lot of
32:58Allen but that's not that's not relevant here honestly like even though I don't have the biggest opinion of Allen what if
33:05they see what a lot in the fit in the offense again I don't necessarily see it but Rashad White's also top
33:12three in receptions over the past three seasons for running backs what if they're like you know what yeah he's pretty kind
33:19of inefficient at times running the ball but he just fits somebody that we can keep on there for most all three
33:25downs and he's getting 60 percent of the work and so like or you know what Rashad White is the inefficient running
33:32back we saw with the Buccaneers and let's give cross key merit more of a chance after essentially I say this all
33:39the time Ben Standig last year at the beginning you because you remember this as soon as they made that trade last
33:46year it was like cross key merit to the moon Ben Standig who I respect a lot came out and said chill
33:52out because this is somebody who's played one game in two seasons and the commanders are going to save him for the
33:59second half of the year which they kind of did but at the same time cross key merit was just okay he
34:06wasn't to the moon by any stretch of the imagination I just think there's a lot of forking past as you said
34:13is the best way to put it that we could find out something by mid end of August that says you know
34:20what now we do know this is everything's pointing to multiple beat reporters reporters blouse saying it the team saying it and
34:26blank is going to be the lead and I do think in that case we would have to move at least me
34:33move somebody up at least into the fringe RB2 conversation when I have them down in the mid to late 30s yeah
34:40I agree this is one that we're gonna have to pay attention to pretty regularly and we're probably gonna do that thing
34:47where we're reading too much into every little word and we might get misled but it but I think we have to
34:54it isn't it isn't what I love doing I don't love parsing you know verb tense or whatever you know when an
35:00offensive coordinator talks but I do think we it will behoove us to be flexible in this regard let me ask you
35:07like what does that I think that's I think part of what you said there is exactly right and it crystallized it
35:14for me a little bit it really comes down to you don't you probably don't want to over commit on anybody here
35:21among Rashad White Ja'Cory Krosky Merritt Katron Allen the rookie because I think we suspect none of them are great and in
35:28the end yes it's you know we don't know whether it's an elite environment offensively I'm not considering the commanders inside my
35:34super small offensive circle of trust you know they can prove it to me during the season but I'm not gonna do
35:41it right now and given that I don't think it's a perfect offense and I given that I don't think any of
35:48these running backs are great that you know there can be a winner the offensive coordinator can say listen Rashad White came
35:55in and earned this job there can be a winner I just don't want to then put Rashad White RB 23 because
36:01I've seen people do that and it doesn't usually work out very well for you if you do that Rashad White like
36:08sure maybe the commanders get fooled by him for a little bit but we we are not gonna get fooled no and
36:15this it honestly reminds me kind of like the Browns two three years ago in consecutive seasons which by the way Jerome
36:22Ford is also on this team as of today is that is that Jerome Ford Kareem Hunt Nick Chubb of like and
36:29then even mixing in like Deonta Foreman was still around at some point Pierre Strong it's just kind of like at the
36:35end of the day we didn't want any of them it's just like oh look oh blank had 18 points this week
36:42let's go chase him and that's like well that was one game and four weeks later we still haven't seen another so
36:49I kind of am feeling like that's where we might be headed even if the offense is a quality offense unless somebody
36:56clearly breaks free and like you said it would have to be somebody that would move up but probably would not that's
37:03why I said fringe RB 2 in my mind I was thinking more of like the 20 28 ish range where it's
37:09like okay Tony Pollard or running back from the commanders like that's kind of where my thinking would be yeah I have
37:16I have white ahead of JCM I thought JCM's tape was freaking horrible I thought he was pretty horrible last year and
37:23that's very subjective I might be wrong I might not know what I'm talking about but I have white ahead of him
37:30too Chris Rodriguez took that job over and the end of the year and like I don't think Chris Rodriguez great either
37:36you know I Dave Kluge's words are resonating in my head which is that a lot of times in a case like
37:43this you kind of want one of them to go supernova in terms of hype and suddenly Rashad White or suddenly JCM
37:50is being drafted at you know in the fifth round or whatever and then you take the other guy as a bench
37:57player and you don't yeah you know you like it's just an absolute lottery ticket and you just see and you get
38:04rid of it but doesn't cost anything as opposed to you know these guys get up in the fourth or fifth you
38:10start feeling like oh like that's a real cost I don't I don't really want to blow that pick the commanders wide
38:17receivers also important Daniels granted you know the the true allure of Jade Daniels is the running I just mentioned earlier I
38:24gave him an A plus grade for running still even after last year's disaster because he was hurt but we do need
38:31the run you know you can't be Anthony Richardson the running quarterbacks need to be a base level of competence in terms
38:38of throwing and often a base level of confidence means more than one pass target is actually kind of okay for fantasy
38:44Terry McLaurin I have a sense that probably wherever you have them ranked usually that's going to be where you have ranked
38:51coming out of training camp but we'd love to like somebody else there I assume at the moment you're not ranking anyone
38:58like Antonio Williams the rookie Jig Okonkwo my long-time what-if tight end from Tennessee who's now in Washington you know Jalen Lane
39:05all these other guys you're probably not ranking any of those guys either at all or anything but like super loud super
39:11late round draftable would good camp news on any of the other pass catchers have the chance to elevate anybody I don't
39:18think so mostly because yeah like I think the most aggressive I have right now is a Konkwo and that's only if
39:25this team is the same team from opening day just because you know if he gets a bump from the 70 target
39:32range to 90 plus then you know a production on the same per target basis even with the commanders that puts them
39:39in the back end tight end one conversation we're always looking for tight ends Antonio Williams he's fine actually think it's a
39:45good fit I wasn't the biggest Antonio Williams fan so that might cloud my opinion a little bit which maybe I need
39:52to shift a little bit if he's getting rave reviews the entire time but I mean this is a makeshift cast as
39:59makeshift as you can get behind McLaurin of the resurgence of trail on Burks which I put that in major quotes the
40:06quotes are carrying a lot in that aspect Diami Brown McCaffrey Jalen Lange you mentioned Jalen Lange it's just a mish mash
40:13back there where I got it and it's just a pure speculation I have no basis for this the only thing that
40:19could change is if they sign Stefan Diggs or something like that and even then it really comes down to if you
40:26look at two years ago it was Terry McLaurin but the second leading target getter was Zach Ertz and then Zaccheaus at
40:3364 even if Daniels throws 520 attempts instead of 480 like he did that year like okay so he's still a little
40:40bit of a tick up from McLaurin but I feel like the number two if it's like somebody like Diggs I think
40:47even in that case or maybe it is Antonio Williams it's still only a wide receiver four and I think that would
40:53hurt Okonkwo like I don't think there's going to be three super relevant pass catchers yeah Okonkwo can't be somebody you reach
41:00for in a standard size draft right now he's much more waiver guy to just like you're not going to get any
41:07proof in August my god they're you know that's one where if they give the if they give the fluff as much
41:14as I want to believe because I think he's talented I will not change my Okonkwo rank based on that I'm with
41:20you I don't imagine changing an Antonio Williams rank I'm willing to learn about him once we get to September absolutely I'll
41:27be open-minded but I'm not gonna I'm not gonna go crazy the digs thing is interesting I mean of course Brandon Ayuk
41:34has been trying to legislate his way there forever I would be way more interested in digs than I you get this
41:41point I just seems like I thought you're gonna say I was trying to find the best way to throw away millions
41:48and end his career and they all season yeah I mean same yeah six six one half does the other digs would
41:54be interesting digs still had something left last year and they don't have a slot guy and he very much we grew
42:01real familiar with what Stefan digs's routine was with the Patriots last year and it kind of had a little bit of
42:08easy volume behind it I wouldn't want to get crazy excited for him but and like the moment the good defenses in
42:15the playoffs had it had to say all right who can beat us here we should probably cut down on that Stefan
42:22digs guy they were able to he wasn't beating man coverage out of the slot so like to build your offense around
42:28something like that isn't gonna work because when the rubber meets the road if they need to take you away they can
42:35because he just doesn't have that anymore but a lot of like five yard stops a lot of like it's a six
42:42catch game for 74 yards and the random chance at a touchdown that's gonna get you into flex territory I'll let me
42:49let me close the book on the commanders by asking you this we're way down the speculation rabbit hole but if you
42:55got a legit signing if you got a digs to Washington to just like balance out that receiving core I personally don't
43:02think that's gonna make me lower McLaurin but I wonder about you it wouldn't I actually think this would be a really
43:09nice fit alongside McLaurin to everything you just said what was going through my mind is this would actually be better for
43:16digs to be the number two and not asked to be the one who even as you mentioned with the Patriots wasn't
43:23even on the field for 90% of the snaps towards the end of the year is more like the 60% but it
43:29was a very efficient 60% so digs would be in the 40s a wide receiver for for me but McLaurin pretty much
43:36I have McLaurin at 17 with or without digs and I don't see myself moving up or down we are sponsored again
43:43by pre-alcohol from Z Biotics and you've heard me talk about it I know you have they've been with the show for
43:50a few years now you've heard me rave but maybe you haven't tried pre- alcohol yet because it sounds like huh could
43:57it really make me feel better than I should the morning after some drinks I am serious it does it's science anytime
44:03now I'm gonna have alcohol I make pre- alcohol from Z-Biotics my first drink of the night it's the world's first genetically
44:10engineered probiotic it is pretty amazing it is it isolates the toxic byproduct in your gut that alcohol creates and just makes
44:17it all much better I have gone through I mean how many boxes have I been through 30 times maybe now over
44:24these past few years and you actually don't have to take my word for it support a sponsor by trying it out
44:30and if it doesn't work for you let them know they will make it right they have a hundred percent total satisfaction
44:37guaranteed they will give you a refund barbecues coming up picnics I mean your fantasy draft not that far away get 15%

44:58Jake loves this team he's just such a huge fan of this team a massive New York Giants fan from way back
45:04well that's true actually you were a massive fan from way back but would it be fair to characterize you have weaned
45:11yourself slightly from this organization I wean myself significantly so much so when I was like hey you know what I was
45:18always a fan of a lot of the players on the team and nobody seemingly roots for them so I'll root for
45:25the Texans for a while even bought a hat but I tell you what with horrible and everything they're doing this offseason
45:32you might as well just put the Corleone quote right in front of me of just when I thought it was out
45:38they're trying they haven't but they are trying to put the I'll put that word into the quote they're trying to pull
45:45me back in all right well the fugitive Giants fan Jake Seeley interested in his opinion on this on this training camp
45:52the first two names we're going to talk about are going to be a little boring to talk about because they're just
45:59about injury but they're significant injuries and one of them we're worried about and one of them you know hopefully we're we're
46:06rounding the corner Malik neighbors is the one I mean unfortunately it's just you know I guess I'll not say unfortunately fortunately
46:12with Malik neighbors it's it's pretty clear either he shocks everybody and the fact that he had a second knee procedure back
46:19in whatever that was April means nothing and he's immediately ready to go and he's just in all the drills and his
46:26knee is fine and everything's great of course Malik neighbors would have upward mobility for me anyway because I'm baking in some
46:33panic over his knee and then I'll just let you run through all the scenarios like the downside of he never participates
46:39in training camp he probably needs to go lower yeah I like I am a 26 and that's basically my way of
46:46telling everybody that unless he's your wide receiver three I don't want to take that risk you know maybe you know your
46:53makeup or your roster whatever is your two and things you get the point there not you everybody listening I understand where
47:00I'm trying to come from there is that I don't want to take that risk as of today because yeah it was
47:07supposedly they didn't do a great job the first time around and the second was more of a cleanup and make sure
47:13we get things right and no my wife Nicole is not an NFL player but she's had similar situations with her ankle
47:20and it wasn't like oh that second one now it's 100% that's all that I needed like you still have all that
47:27recovery and everybody references the film we watch him play in the softball game where it looks like he's running on one
47:34and a half legs and yeah there's time to get back to 100% but I mean we're talking we're nearing the mid
47:41end of July and we haven't seen him on the field we haven't seen him play we haven't seen super positive and
47:47this is the time of the year where everybody like oh everybody's ready for week one Patrick Mahomes George Kittle everybody like
47:54Zach Charbonnet might play this year and then everybody's like sleek neighbors I don't know like that's that's a lot that usually
48:01everybody wants to wax poetically about how good everybody looks at this time of the season so I have him at 26
48:08if he's out there and he plays some preseason games and he's looking healthy yeah I will obviously move him up but
48:14if like you just said the worst case scenario is we don't see him until week one and then he starts the
48:21year on the injury of a pup like I would move him even further down like I think there is downward direction
48:28possible too agreed yeah I have him exactly 26 in a standard I have him 27 in PPR it's funny yeah I
48:35didn't look at your ranks but it's it's a placeholder rank and if we get amazing news I mean he can get
48:42up I mean wide receiver stinks wide receivers unbelievably flat he could get up to 10 of course he could I he
48:48could get up to 10 I'll tell I'm not even looking at my list I'm telling you right now knowing what it's
48:55like at 10 he could get up to 10 if everything was perfect but I mean I don't think we're expecting everything
49:02is perfect how low could he go would he just be 40 and and like just let somebody else get him uh
49:0940 I think I would take the gamble because once you're talking 40 you're talking at least for me you're not like
49:16mid-season replacements yeah yeah like you're probably waiver wire and at that point I'll take the upshot chance especially when you consider
49:22where 40 is going overall in your draft and how many I mean now we're talking about 33 25 hit rate so
49:29I'll take that gamble that late yeah agreed uh and then the other injury guy for the Giants is the particle accelerator
49:36Cam Scadaboo that's his nickname around here uh he had a he had a that's good I didn't heard you say that
49:43one before that I love that one yeah I don't think I came up with that one I can't remember that was
49:49this winter but I think it was a listener I apologize for not remembering who uh so Cam Scadaboo um his leg
49:56injury was awful but we're told he it's like you said with the Kittles and the Mahomes and stuff uh he's on
50:03the optimistic side until he gets out there everybody's saying nice things and he's saying everything's gonna be okay um you know
50:10I'll I guess let's ask the same question let's just say all right if he's full if he's full bore Scadaboo do
50:17you raise him or do you kind of have him at his max right now and if he's not obviously I think
50:23you lower him and then you start looking at Tyrone Tracy a little bit yeah so right now I'm at 21 I
50:30could see moving him up probably two spots but that would be about it uh and that's because I am leaning a
50:37little bit more positively than I expected to be at this point just because of all the reports we actually have seen
50:44some of his workouts whatever you want to call them at this point but there is a lot of hey it's we're
50:51like surprising he's young enough that the knees already or that legs already looking good and so you know 21 to get
50:57him to 19 cool I think there's more potential downward trajectory to use that again with neighbors than there is upward at
51:04this point mostly because even as positively everything sounds I think we have to also acknowledge what this team is and I've
51:11referenced this a couple times and I know you know this Chris is that people I think are overlooking the fact that
51:18he brought in Harbaugh brought in Roman too and that Roman is going to do what he does focus on the run
51:25game he stinks in the passing game we know that Daigie good passing game stinks in the run game I actually think
51:31it's a perfect marriage but we also need to acknowledge what that likely means and that's not somebody getting 70 75 percent
51:38of the work throughout their history what we know about them so I'm I'm leaning into that assumption as well where I
51:45present all that to say is like I I and I could be wrong by this I don't see him moving much
51:52further in my ranks even if he looks amazing because I don't see him getting into the you know Marion Hampton, Brees
51:58Hall, Kyron Williams realm of like top 16 I think 19 might be about it so if we don't get a lot
52:05of positive talk and like he isn't ready for game one of the preseason or game two and game three and he
52:12barely is only practicing not playing I think there's more potential for him to fall than rise yeah I think so too
52:19more potential to fall than rise based on health based on rehab probably not based on um wow we didn't expect to
52:26see Tyrone Tracy running with the one so much like that's just gonna happen that's just the NFL yeah there's just right
52:32not that many guys who do 75 percent of their backfields anymore there's three or four every year so you don't need
52:39Scadabo to be that in order to draft him to be your RB2 um right you know I think it's funny I
52:46did Kluge show a month ago or something like that and he was all over Tracy and I don't know I don't
52:53look at ADP so I'm sure that's partly about price it's not that I don't think Dave is saying um you know
53:00secretly I suspect Tracy is a better player than Scadabo I think he's probably saying secretly I think people are falling in
53:06love with Gadaboo because he's fun and not realizing that this has a chance to be you know a 50-50 type arrangement
53:13plus one of the guys is a contact seeking missile who tries to plow his chest through everybody's you know his head
53:20through everybody's chest and is a good bet to get concussed again and I want the other guy and to me I
53:27don't think training camp is going to tell us really anything about that but that is not when Dave said that I
53:33was like I think I'm going to file that away because that's not terrible logic yeah I completely agree with what Dave's
53:40saying and I've been on the same like I as I mentioned I have him inside my top 20 but Tracy's in
53:47my 40s because of all the potential backups yeah and like there's not like I don't I would not call the Giants
53:54offense a top five or top 10 maybe if they surprise and get the top 10 but I want to call them
54:01that to say like oh I'm attacking this backup running back because if anything happened to it like this isn't Blake Corum
54:07who actually does get a little bit of share but you understand my point is that this isn't Corum behind Kyron Williams
54:14where it's like oh my god whoever it is probably to the moon for top 12 it just comes down to okay
54:21Scadaboo gets hurt who are they turning to it's not going to be Eric Gray who might not even be on the
54:28roster it's not going to be Devin Singletary this Tyron Tracy is going to get his 60% and in that case like
54:35you just said how many running backs even get 60% at this point so that's really what it is the value for
54:41Tracy is just terrific yeah good value in the in the later rounds even if you don't take Scadaboo as like a
54:48as a bench guy see how it goes this is even independent of Scadaboo's performance in training camp right you and I
54:55are probably on the same page we're both basing our rank on an optimistic health result and then probably beyond health really
55:02for everybody there there's not a lot of we're going to take away from day by day like who look good in
55:08drills kind of stuff although that might not be true because I'll end it on this the tight ends because Theo Johnson
55:15I mean he played like a knucklehead last year he was a wild man he played kind of well he looked like
55:22a he came into the league out of Penn State like looking like a really good athlete he killed his combine he
55:29made some splash plays he also made some really stupid plays he's good really good blocker it turned out and then it
55:36so it felt like they were kind of set and then Harbaugh comes in and is like I'm gonna give Isaiah Lakeley
55:42a whole bunch of money um I don't have likely I have likely way ahead of Theo Johnson clearly that's where they
55:49spent their money I'm gonna kind of defer to that until I'm proven other proven otherwise but I'm not I don't I
55:56personally don't have I've likely 14 among tight ends I don't have him inside the top 12 I don't know where you
56:03have him but I wonder whether anything can happen to change the way you're viewing that balance between those two guys in
56:10August not really mostly because I am more aggressive on likely I actually have him inside my top 12 mostly because again
56:16this is my projecting out like I don't know we talk about this on your show all the time but feeling of
56:23Nagy and going back to like even when he had Cole commit with the Bears as I do get a feel that
56:30we might see what we wanted from the Ravens and I know there's that question of like all right Harbaugh you brought
56:37over likely but why did you never use him all the time when he was with the Ravens and people point to
56:44that a lot and I say you know circumstances whatever it might be like we don't know he's not going to tell
56:50us like this is exactly why uh but at the same time look at Nagy who you know generally has leaned on
56:57a lead tight end it's not that he never uses a too tight end and we know the NFL is moving a
57:04lot to that so I don't think Theo Johnson's going by the wayside I just could see a scenario and it ties
57:11into to neighbors where likely could be the one or the two in targets just because of necessity and design on this
57:17team so for that case I have him as a back and tight end one right there behind pits alongside like a
57:24Kelsey Ferguson range um but this is one where I'm not going to turn a blind eye if it's a ton of
57:31tight end two sets and it seems to that likely his role is going to be similar to the Ravens but just
57:38a little bit of an increase where it's like you know what there is no chance that he's going to get inside
57:45that top one or two for targets on the team then I would move him down so I feel like this is
57:51another one where similar to earlier in the show I have him probably at my peak level like I can't see myself
57:58I'm not going to move him in front of Laporte or Fannin or Kittle so he's probably as high as he's going
58:05to go where his only potential is to slide back in my ranks depending on what we hear or see from the
58:12team in the preseason yeah so basically I don't think he has much mobility for me at all because I've already got
58:19that a little bit baked in but I understand where you're coming from whereas you know I kind of already have him
58:25where you would move him back to if you get what you feel to be somewhat negative news which is I think
58:32that news is likeliest to be I you know I think Theo Johnson becomes more the blocking tight end you know he's
58:39just better at it than likely likely is really a slot receiver Johnson is more of a yeah he's a fast guy
58:46but he's he had a good blocking year last year from what I could see on tape anyway so it yeah I
58:52understand where you're coming from that if you get to that feeling of like well you know a lot of the deception
58:59gets taken away and likely is kind of like I mean people been saying about Evan Engram from last year he was
59:06like the passing tell when he was on the field defenses knew you were going to throw if that becomes likely you
59:13don't want that you know you want some possible misdirection and less predictability out of it so yeah interesting all right brother
