Aaron Jones

NegativeDepth Chart49:40

Aaron Jones is off the board after the Wandale Robinson pick, indicating he's being selected in the running back tier around that area.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

PositiveValue40:40

Godwin is part of a preferred early-season WR group the source has liked; grouped with Jaylen Piersal as undervalued options in the draft.

Insight page

Erick All

PositiveRole17:35

Per Ben Baby reporting, seemingly every insider believes Eric All is the key to the Bengals offense. His versatility as both a blocker and pass catcher is unique to the tight end room, which opens up a believable threat for play action. The source acknowledges positive reports on All throughout the offseason and notes that Masiki is not really a tight end, creating an opening for an inline tight end to consolidate on Cincinnati. However, the source wants to see preseason snaps before drafting him.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeProjection49:20

Listed as a high upside tight end option in the draft window alongside Harold Fannon and Kyle Pitts, representing prime tight end targets in the draft.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

NegativeProjection49:20

Fannon is presented as a high-upside tight end option in the draft window alongside Kyle Pitts and George Kittle, representing prime tight end targets. He's also listed as an alternative pick option after Manungai as a secondary RB option or pivot to QB.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveSleeper50:51

The source is getting more into Coker now, suggesting emerging interest and potential sleeper appeal as the draft conversation progresses.

Insight page

James Robinson

PositiveBreakout0:03

One of the biggest all-time late-round hits in fantasy history; drafted in late August/September 2020 without preseason exposure, which meant the fantasy community lacked the information to draft him earlier despite his eventual breakout performance. The absence of preseason snaps prevented early recognition of his fantasy value.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveValue33:28

The source expresses openness to Waddle starting to move up in draft rankings and ADP, indicating a preference for him over Josh Jacobs in the fourth round.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

NegativeDepth Chart5:34

Depth chart positioning relative to Tyler Bedet is unclear; the source wants concrete information on whether Coleman is ahead of Bedet in the RB3 role, but this information is difficult to determine until actual games are played.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeValue10:57

ADP has risen from the 140s to the 120s to the 110s; the source has been actively targeting him as he moves up, getting ahead of the market on a likely breakout. No limitations reported by NFL Network's Cameron Wolf heading into camp. The source drafted him in the seventh round in the main event, ahead of R.J. Harvey (now sixth round), and feels good about the value bet. However, at ADP 101, he's now competing with higher-ceiling backs like Manungi, Dobbins, and Blake Cororum in better offenses; Carolina's overall offensive production is a concern despite Rico Dattle having some 200-yard games last year. FFPC ADP has moved from middle seventh (around pick 74) to early-to-late middle seventh, with projection to reach the sixth round; the source expects Brooks to land in the seventh or eighth round on Underdog. At current prices, he remains a good pick but less clearcut than earlier in the offseason.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

NegativeDepth Chart49:40

Jordan Mason is off the board after the Wandale Robinson pick, indicating he's being selected in the running back tier around that area.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeValue33:21

Being drafted in the middle of the fourth round; the source notes suspension risk remains a concern despite low odds, and questions whether Jacobs would flip players like Javante Williams and Evan Engram in ADP. The source acknowledges Jacobs' historical reliability but expresses concern about the risk-return profile with massive downside risk priced in, creating an asymmetric payoff where a small win is offset by devastating loss potential; however, if he repeats his past two seasons' production, it would be a solid fourth-round win.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveValue39:51

Justin Herbert jumped to the top of the sidekick draft board, surprising the source. Herbert is positioned as a viable backdoor QB option in late-round team construction; the source notes the draft tool flipped to Herbert and suggests you can 'back door Herbert and finish with a two two KB team,' positioning him as a strategic late-round pivot.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

NegativeDepth Chart49:40

Kenny Gainwell is off the board before the Wandale Robinson pick, indicating he's being selected earlier in the running back tier.

Insight page

Kyle Monangai

NegativeDepth Chart49:29

Kyle Monangai is gone before the Wandale Robinson pick, indicating he's being selected earlier in the running back tier.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeProjection49:20

Listed as a high upside tight end option in the draft window alongside Harold Fannon and George Kittle, representing prime tight end targets in the draft.

Insight page

Marvin Mims

NegativeUsage0:43

Played 100% of snaps with starters in preseason one year, which meant absolutely nothing for his actual role or fantasy value; example of how preseason snap share can be misleading and not predictive of in-season usage, particularly when coaches use preseason for purposes other than evaluating regular-season roles.

Insight page

Mike Evans

NegativeProjection46:56

Aging wide receiver who showed decline last year; cited as context for concerns about receiver room depth and upside.

Insight page

Myles Gaskin

PositiveBreakout0:03

One of the biggest second-year breakout players in 2020; wasn't drafted through the end of August because the fantasy community lacked preseason information to identify his value. His emergence was a major fantasy story that could have been anticipated with preseason exposure.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeValue12:42

Harvey was drafted ahead of Brooks in the main event but has since moved up to the sixth round, while Brooks remains in the seventh; this ADP divergence reflects market repricing of the two Carolina backs.

Insight page

TreVeyon Henderson

PositiveValue36:30

The source is actively targeting Trevion Henderson at 5% exposure and views him as a strong RB2 value in the late fifth round; predicts Henderson will fall in training camp or preseason snaps will reveal depth chart movement. The source believes the downfield receiving role that Ra'Andre Thomas held last year was designed for Henderson, suggesting year-two opportunity for increased offensive role if he improves pass protection. However, the source notes that Thomas was more trusted in pass protection situations than Henderson, allowing him to be on the field for downfield receiving plays more frequently, making Thomas the preferred cost-adjusted option this year while Henderson has smash potential if he improves pass protection.

0:01Welcome to the Legendary Upside podcast and YouTube channel. My name is Pat Kra.
0:04You can follow all my content at legendaryupsside.com.
0:07With me today, Sam Sherman for that's fair. Sam, how's it going?
0:12>> I'm good, Pat. Um, I'm actually in the process of a move right now, so apologies for my background. I think
0:19it's going to get more and more uh cluttered over the coming weeks.
0:22>> It's exactly the same. The bike is >> I still have the bike. I still have the bike. I'm just just perfectly covered by
0:28my head. Um, but [laughter] yeah, I gotta figure out if the bike's coming me coming with me in the move or
0:36if I'm selling it. Um, not not getting a lot of good value out of it. But anyways, >> this is like a a local move or a more a
0:43bigger move.
0:44>> Bigger move. Bigger move. Yeah, I am we're moving out of Boston and actually
0:51going to be in California in LA. um starting this this fall. So, we'll be out there and then honestly, it's a bit of a it's
1:03a bit up in there where we're going to be long term, but we know we're going to be out of Boston um trying to figure out
1:08jobs and everything long term, but um yeah, going to spend spend the fall out in California is the plan and figure out
1:14what's next.
1:15>> I saw you uh out here in California and I told you the move is you win BBM and move to California.
1:23I'm happy to see you took my advice.
1:26>> I'm trying. Yeah. I mean, yeah, the the taxes are way lower >> since that conversation a couple weeks ago. [laughter]
1:33>> Exactly. Yeah. No, I saw I saw the improvement in your in your tennis game and I said [laughter] >> it has improve. I mean, it went from not
1:41having played ever to imagine you you've actually played.
1:45>> I know. That's what I'm saying. It could be big for me.
1:49>> Well, congrats. That's that's very fun.
1:50Um, we are going to be diving into some training camp stuff. Uh, talking through some of the initial reports, you know,
1:57nothing too big. And in fact, like I I'm actually wondering if like this is almost like a little bit fake period of
2:04time where like we're getting some stuff that is having and by period of time I mean like the next few days. We're not
2:12actually getting like a lot of >> here's what I saw in practice today.
2:15we're getting more of like here's what I think is going to happen this season, but it's like got the training camp
2:20veneer to it, so we're taking it a little bit more seriously than we would have two weeks ago.
2:25>> Um, what are your what are your thoughts on that is like a highle thing.
2:29>> I think that's right. I I think this this first week I think as players are just reporting it is more speculation, a
2:41little bit of coach speak that we get, which I think is helpful. It's useful information, but what I'm really like craving and excited for is like the more
2:49factual reporting of, hey, player X is ahead of, you know, his running back teammates on the depth chart or for the
2:57RB2 job or even even more concretely, >> he's just repping this team versus that team.
3:03>> Yeah, exactly.
3:04>> Yeah.
3:05>> Preseason snaps. Um, which obviously, you know, th those you have to be careful with sometimes. um but still are like very useful information.
3:13>> You do have to be careful with them.
3:16>> I'm writing an article, two articles actually that um point out like the one like one of the biggest all-time hits in the late rounds
3:27uh was James Robinson in 2020. Didn't have preseason and >> one of the biggest second uh year guys was Miles Gaskin 2020. Didn't have
3:35preseason. So, like we just and neither guy was really drafted um at all through the like through the end of August. And
3:43Robin uh James Robinson was drafted some late August and then uh more in September, but like we just straight up didn't know to draft James Robinson uh
3:53when we would have, I think, if we'd had preseason. Now, we might have also done some other dumb stuff that we didn't do
4:00because we didn't get misled by things.
4:02But I think that, you know, knowing to draft those two backs would have would have like fundamentally have changed the 2020 fantasy football season. And uh we
4:11didn't get that information because we didn't have preseason.
4:14>> Yeah. And then there's like I guess the other example I can think of that's somewhat interesting with relation to preseason is the year Kairen broke out.
4:23So not his his rookie year, but his second year. He just didn't play in the preseason at all. And that was because,
4:29you know, they had such a big role for him. uh match or maybe he played in the first game and then and sat the rest. I
4:35forget exactly the details, but he was held out with the starters for a big chunk of the preseason. So >> that's something uh to be to be wary of.
4:43But then sometimes stuff like that like you know, you know, Marvin means nothing. Marvin Mims played like 100% of the snaps with the starters one year in
4:51the preseason and it meant absolutely nothing. Uh because Shawn Peyton just >> Teams use the preseason for different things. Like Shawn McVey doesn't play as
4:59guys. Shawn Payeyton. I don't know what he's doing, but it's not showing us what he's gonna do in season. [laughter] >> He's almost he's trying to like bait
5:08Nathan Yonke into a bad take is it seems to be his main his main goal of preseason usage. [laughter] >> Poor guy. But uh yeah, he's
5:17>> wait until Yankee gets a load of this.
5:23>> Little Jordan Humphrey at the X.
5:25>> Like what's going on? This year it's gonna be like Tyler Bedet takes all the snaps with the starters for some reason.
5:31You know, can't wait for it.
5:34>> It sucks that Jonah Coleman is like one of the players I want to find out like the most concrete stuff on. And and by
5:40that I mean just like is he ahead of Bedet? Like is he the RB3 ahead of Bedet? And I there's like no way for me
5:46to accurately know that information until >> I don't even know him. I was gonna say until week one. I'm like not no week
5:51one. He'll lie to me too. [laughter] Yeah, he's still trying to mess with you week one. He'll He won't have the real
5:58uh you know, snap counts until like week six. It's all It's all just a bit until that point.
6:03>> Yeah.
6:04>> Yeah. Come on. Come on, Sean.
6:06>> Um Yeah. Should we hit on though a couple of news news items? Yeah. I think I think the one thing that was most
6:13interesting to me uh was a bit of positive Malik Neighbors news. So, this was from Jordan Renan of ESPN. obviously
6:22very plugged in with the Giants. He said that I believe he reported it was likely that Neighbors is going to or maybe not
6:32likely but expected to avoid the pup list. Um so I thought again that could still mean he misses multiple games to to start the season. doesn't
6:42mean he's ready week one, but in a season or in an offseason where I feel like we only got negative neighbors
6:49news, this does seem like a slight positive indication. And I actually I drafted a team today. I think it was my
6:55first neighbor share of the season. He fell to pick 44. I think I'm starting to warm to him, you know, late late round
7:03three, early round four on half PPR. I feel like the the riskreward starts to starts to be worth it to me there,
7:11especially with this latest news.
7:12Curious what you think.
7:13>> I I have been drafting him some in the fourth. I think he's a fine pick in the fourth. Um I don't my my assumption on
7:21neighbors has been that he will fall more. Um, but if he does, I mean, part of the the report was
7:33sort of like uh a little bit ambiguous as like what we were even talking about.
7:37Like are you saying he's going to avoid pup by the time we get through training camp? Is he not going to go on the
7:42training camp pup, which he can pull players off of?
7:46>> Like how bullish is this? Like if he were to like be practicing next week, that would be extremely bullish. if he's
7:54going to miss a few games to start the year, but hopefully avoid missing a a lockedin minimum of four games.
8:03That's not, you know, that's better than him missing four games minimum, but it's not super bullish. So, it's a little bit
8:09I think I'm still up in the air as far as like what this even means right now, but it's it's at least a little bit more
8:16in the bullish direction to your point where we've heard almost only bearish stuff for a while now. Um, and I'm still
8:24thinking he probably does fall because I think he misses NFL games. I don't think he plays week one.
8:30>> And if he doesn't play week one, then we'll know that is pretty likely >> Mhm.
8:38>> before week one and he'll fall, right?
8:41So, at some point, it might not be for, you know, a little while. It might not be for a month, but at some point, if he
8:48does miss week one, then that'll start to get baked in. People will start to get a little uneasy about drafting a guy
8:55who's not going to play the first game, maybe even the second game, maybe the third game. Maybe he does go on pup.
9:00They're 50/50 about whether or not they're going to put him on pup in late August. That seems like a falling type
9:04of event for Malik Neighbors. So, I'm not like hammering neighbors now. I think we probably do get fifth round neighbors ultimately.
9:12>> Really? Okay. But yeah, I still think we do, but I'm I feel less confident about that than I did yesterday.
9:19>> Yeah, I was trying to think of an example of like when something like this has happened before of like a guy who's
9:25a consensus first round top top six even pick, you know, he would be a consensus top.
9:33>> Yeah, Jonathan Taylor. Yeah, I was going to say the year he was he missed four games for that like fake injury/holdin
9:41situation. Yeah, >> I think he >> he was five turn.
9:46>> Yeah, he was 56 turn, but I guess there was a big there was a big range because at one point I was like, "Oh, is he
9:51going to miss the whole season even?"
9:53Right. Like there might have been some spots where he fell anyways.
9:56>> Yeah, I think you're right. I think he actually did fall past that at points, but I think like my recollection is
10:01being able to get him at the five six turn in those final drafts >> and being like, uh, >> what if he doesn't play? but still doing
10:09it but not feeling good about it, you know, kind of thing. Yeah. And I think that's my >> my hunch is that Neighbors is kind of
10:17like an icky >> 507 where you're like I got to do it.
10:22>> I got to take him here, but uh oh, what if he's never the same and then you feel good that like I think to be clear like
10:28I don't think that's his fair value. I think his probably fair value is like where he's going now. Like I think he's
10:34probably fine where he goes now.
10:36>> Yeah. Um maybe maybe middle middle of the fourth >> is probably where I'd say fair value is.
10:42>> Early fourth I start to feel like there's better options, but m probably middle of the fourth.
10:47>> Yep. That's that's kind of where I'm at as well. Um so yeah, I I think I think it'll be interesting to monitor. Um, I
10:57think the the other thing that like kind of cut through the noise a little bit for me that that was interesting uh was
11:07the the Jonathan Brooks news more positive news there. um a guy I've been I've been lower on I've been skeptical of but I think both like national
11:19reporting and like uh this was yes NFL Network's Cameron Wolf said that there would be no limitations for Jonathan
11:27Brooks heading into camp. Um so again just not that that's necessarily a surprise at this point but more more good news for him. I'm curious if you've
11:38like I know you're already high in Brooks. you like kept bumping him up or or where you at with with that news?
11:43>> Not really. I mean, I think we what I like to Brooks I feel like is a situation kind of sums up like the way
11:50I'm trying to play baseball right now is like Jonathan Brooks was going in the 140s. I don't have a lot of them there.
11:57He was going in the 120s. I was like starting to mix him in. He's going in the one teens and I'm hammering him and
12:06then you know he's moving up and up and up and now it's like I'm I'm getting confirmation of what I thought was
12:14pretty likely like be ahead of the market on something that looks likely.
12:18The market's like well yeah he could be he could you know this this is looking better. It's looking more positive but
12:24I'm not I'm not 100% sure yet. I'm like, I'm not 100% sure either, but I'm confident enough to to make the bet. And
12:31then if he continues moving up and up and up, it's not like I mean, at that point, you're kind of just taking on
12:36more and more risk that he actually isn't able to pass Juba Hubard or or whatever else. But we we drafted him
12:42like on the main event. We got him in the seventh round.
12:46>> Um took him ahead of R.J. Harvey. He's now, I believe, up in the sixth round there uh in the main event. [snorts] Um,
12:54so there is going to come a point where like Blake Cororm is now a choice with with him and Jonathan Brooks and I
12:59prefer Cororum. Uh, so yeah, I think like he's in the early seventh. It looks like Jonathan Brooks in in the main event, but I think he
13:08keeps moving up.
13:09>> Um, and maybe did we take him in the seventh or the eighth? I can't remember. Anyway, we we got what I felt like was a value
13:16and it turns out to have been a value.
13:18So yeah, Brooks is I'm feeling good about having made the bet. Um, it's not a player where I feel like I even need
13:25to get like this is it just was we were trending toward this type of report like he is going to have a role. They have
13:34hopes that he'll be able to take over a bigger role as the season goes on and that he's a speculative but intriguing
13:41play and that's pretty awesome if I can get it in the 10th round. It's uh it's actually kind of risky when it costs a
13:49seventh round pick.
13:52Yeah, that makes sense. I think for me, I I probably feel similar to you in the sense that like I think he's going to be priced out
14:03of of where I want to take him at this point. I think like I'm admitting that I that I was probably wrong to be fading
14:11him like earlier when he was he was going much later. Like people people like you kind of saw the rise coming in
14:17advance and scooped up early shares.
14:18That was probably the right way to play it. But I think I've kind of >> I set out the real cheap stuff though.
14:23Like I think you know there I'm with you that there was a point at which it was too early to know if it was a a good bet
14:32or a horrific bet.
14:34>> Yeah.
14:35>> So >> cuz cuz for me it's just like it's now at a point where like I feel like if he does let's see his ADP is
14:45like one 101 now. I think you're right.
14:49Like once it gets to you're comparing him with guys like Manungi, Dobbins, um Blake Cororm, you're just talking about players in like much better,
15:00higher ceiling offenses generally. I know that like Carolina last year did get um some pretty solid fantasy production out of their running backs.
15:10Rico Dattle had some massive games, some like 200 yard games. Uh, but it's kind of an overall offensive concern for me on a guy that still has a
15:20pretty ambiguous role. And even if no limitations, still looks great. I think we do have to acknowledge like there's a ton of uncertainty about who he is as a
15:28player. We've we've never really seen him on NFL field. So, >> yeah. Um, I think that's where I'm at with him. I think I kind of like missed
15:35the boat and his price is probably going to be too high.
15:38>> I don't know if you fully missed the boat yet. I mean, I think he's still a good pick where he goes. Like, I'll
15:42probably draft him some today. Um, but I think like in FFPC where he's moving up, >> you know, he'll pro he I so I check we
15:50did draft him in the middle of the seventh. He's now into the early seventh, late middle seventh. Uh, you know, now he's at 74 or whatever, but I
15:57bet he's going to move up into that 67 turn now and maybe even into the sixth.
16:02And I mean, that's that's kind of pricey, you know? That's like uh and I do like him in some ways more in managed where I
16:11think like if he hits he could hit in a really clean startable way. Um he's good for which is good for baseball too but
16:17it's like that extra little bonus you have in manage of like I probably know when to start him too.
16:22>> Um but the uh you know the price already in manage is quite a bit higher whereas in baseball it's just not there yet. And
16:33I think it's going there. Like I think using that FFPC ADP as a signal of like where we're probably headed on Jonathan
16:40Brooks because FFPC drafters do a good job of like identifying upside at running back in particular and like pricing that upside in
16:49>> like it's hard to find uh unless a guy's like really really buried and it's a pure kind of bet on talent especially
16:55like a a rookie bet on talent you can sometimes find for cheap in the FFPC but more like news related this guy's going
17:03to have a role hole. That stuff does not go undercover there. And I think we're probably headed to Brooks being in like
17:09the seventh round on underdog 2. So, or at least the eighth. And uh, you know, at that point, I probably will
17:18feel a little differently than I do now.
17:20But, but right now, I think like today he's still still a good pick.
17:24>> Yeah, that makes sense.
17:26>> Just not as clearcut.
17:27>> Um, any any other Yeah, for sure. Do you have any other any other news uh that you wanted to to
17:36highlight? I know it's just been a couple days of >> I do. Um well, shout out to Zayn who's in the chat. Sandy loves the show. We
17:43appreciate Zayn. He's been grinding. Um what's up, guys? Love the show.
17:48>> Uh and so I want to give Zayn a little little shout out here for uh for a positive note.
17:55>> I'll just I'll just go ahead and read this. This is via [clears throat] Ben Baby. I've addressed this multiple times
17:59this offseason. Seemingly every insider believes he, meaning Eric All, is the key to the offense. [snorts] >> His versatility as a blocker and pass
18:09catcher is unique to the tight end room, which opens up a believable threat for play action.
18:16Sam, it seems like this is the first you're hearing of this report. Let me get your uh reaction.
18:21>> The the first thing I want to know, did did Zayn share this report?
18:25>> Was this >> Zayn shared this report? Yeah.
18:27>> Okay. So, Zane, >> I believe this is Zayn saying this. This is not this is not him quoting. He he he
18:32uh he clips uh you know some context of someone else reporting on uh from from the Cincinnati Bengals preview at ESPN.
18:42A little note on Eric Gall. But Zayn, this is Zayn's analysis. I read you.
18:46>> Got it. Okay. First thing I'm going to say, Zayn, if if you're going to do analysis like that, I'm going to need to
18:50see the receipts. I need to know how much money you've invested into Eric.
18:54all if it's not in the hundreds, maybe if it's not even in the thousands of dollars, I I don't think you have the
18:59the right to make that tweet. So, just saying [laughter] be be careful before you um say that type of thing on the
19:05internet. Um but anyways, I I do think this is actually kind of kind of interesting. It is is breaking news to
19:14me. I have seen like some positive reports on all throughout the offseason.
19:20>> There has been some stuff on all. Yeah.
19:22>> Yeah. generally been positive and Masiki is not really a tight end. So, there is an opening for an inline tight end to
19:32consolidate on the Bengals in theory.
19:35Um, I think I would definitely want to see this in the preseason snaps before I I drafted all, but yeah, I'll probably
19:43I'll probably tout him for a while without actually drafting him. Um, >> Sam, you have an incredible opening here for Eric Al and T. Higgins [laughter]
19:52combo test. I know. I believe in you.
19:56You can make that work.
19:57>> I can make it. Yeah. Let's see. Eric's career yards for outrun. Uh excluding games where he was bad verse first
20:04versus first team. [clears throat] >> Exclus. [laughter] Yeah. Odd oddnumbered weeks. Uh only
20:18dome games. Yeah. Yeah, he could could make something work. I mean, his yards per one was 1.5 as a rookie. It's
20:27probably not that different from what Tease was last year. I might not have to lie that much in the >> Maybe you could go because they play the
20:32Ravens week 17, so you could do against AFC North opponents.
20:36>> That might be a small enough sample for for you to find something. [laughter] >> Trust me, I'll I'll find a way.
20:43>> No, again, I'll leave it to you. I just I'm just spitballing here. Don't don't tell uh you know the chef how to cook
20:49his >> um seriously though strip away the the irony. Are you are you actually at all you're interested in guys like Charlie
20:59Kar so I imagine you know Eric >> yeah no I mean I >> scratch the as well >> I'm gonna I'm gonna dig into the Eric
21:06Gall stuff. I mean he's uh you know he had the season ending in injury in 2024 I guess. Um, and so, oh
21:15no, 2025 is when Yeah. seventh season.
21:17>> He's actually, he's basically the Jonathan Brooks of tight ends. Didn't he retire the same ACL?
21:24>> I mean, in the >> Yeah, in the ACL tearing department. I agree.
21:28>> Yeah. [laughter] Otherwise, he would be the same >> in the sense that he's I think it was the same thing though in college, right?
21:37He was coming off a torn ACL going into his rookie year and then I think he retore that same >> ACL. I think um you can fact check me on
21:45that, but I know he was a he was like a guy that dropped in the draft because he had the the torn ACL. I'm like 90% sure
21:53on that.
21:55>> Um anyways, I I interrupt you. What were you >> I think you're right about that actually. Yeah. Yeah, I think you're
21:59right about that. Um, no, I'm I'm uh I'm definitely, you know, not in addition to to uh, you know, being willing to draft
22:08Charlie Kar and Darnell Washington and, you know, some of these blocking tight ends that, uh, can catch touchdowns because they're out there for play
22:15action. I, you know, I've written up in the past that the guys who are run blockers and are out there for play
22:22action, it's kind of useful because you are, that tends to happen around the goal line. So that does give those guys
22:28a little bit more upside especially if the touchdowns automatically hit your lineup. So >> I'm open to the idea. I kind of want to
22:34dig in more to Eric All. And at this point when a guy like all I'd like to actually like see like Yeah. Yeah. Like
22:42he's repping like tell me about the reps not about the speculation of what you expect him to be in the offense. Like
22:49this still feels somewhat speculative to me. Like I always get nervous when it's like people who cover the team putting together their own depth chart like
23:00ahead of training camp where they're not reporting like what they have seen the depth chart likely to be but what like
23:06kind of their depth chart would be if they ran the Bengals >> and this so I'm just not sure which which of this I read this right before
23:13we got on so again >> I kind of want to dig in more but that would be my concern with it is like is
23:18this >> people being like he would really help them I think or he is someone they seem to be really excited about based on the
23:26personnel packages and groupings I've observed at camp or at mini camp or whatever.
23:33>> Yeah. And as as a rookie, he did I think you mentioned he had some interesting peripheral stats. Uh 1.5 yards per out
23:40run quite quite solid for rookie tight end. Close to 20% targets per route run.
23:45Also very solid.
23:47um he was hovering I was looking at his individual game logs basically from like week two um to week eight of his rookie
23:54year. So this was back in 2024. He was hovering around 30 to 40ish% route participation. Uh that's that's not
24:05enough to to get it done obviously in in fantasy. But if I mean I think really the key for him is like it's less about
24:12beating out Gassiki because Gassiki is like basically a slot wide receiver.
24:16It's more like can he consolidate the Drew Sample, Tanner Hudson, uh, type stuff because those are more of the the inline competition on on the
24:27Bengals roster. And can he consolidate all of that and get to a 60 70% uh type of role with Cassini in in more of the
24:37the Y tight end slot uh, you know, big slot type of role.
24:40>> 65% of snaps would be pretty cool, you know. Yeah. or or routes would be would be cooler. But yeah, I mean if you said
24:4860, we could maybe we could work with that in the final round.
24:53>> Yeah, could be could be a final round flyer that I that I come around on potentially.
24:58>> Yeah.
24:59>> Yeah. Um >> um >> cool. Yeah, I had one more.
25:04>> See if you get your exposure up enough to to actually tout. [laughter] >> Yeah. Yeah. No, it's it's going to be
25:08tough. Um yeah, we'll see. We'll check I'll check with the lawyers before I post any Eric all tweets for sure. That's something
25:17that they're going to want to get their eyes on.
25:21>> But uh yeah, [laughter] exactly. Yeah. Yeah.
25:27>> I did have one more slightly, you know, more fantasy relevant player I'd say than than Eric Hall. I mean, tough tough
25:33to get more relevant, >> but um >> Ken Walker, there was an interesting report. Again, this this fits into the realm of speculation than hard news. I
25:43still thought it was interesting. This was an ESPN report uh from from Nate Taylor talking about Walker's role in the offense, and he said, quote, "The
25:54team also believes it can use Walker's receiving skills beyond what he was able to demonstrate during his four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. finding the
26:02best way to get Walker the ball in space on screen plays should be a priority for Reed and Benemy. And I I have just like
26:11always kind of been a believer that like the the Ken Walker can't catch the ball type of stuff has always been kind of
26:20BS. Like he clearly didn't do it in in college well and that was like a big part of his profile. But I think he's
26:26shown at the NFL level that he can be a pass catcher. And I do think like in the context of the Chiefs offense where for
26:36for so many years their their offense has run through guys like Rasheed Rice um you know even more like manufactured bit type players like Jerick McKinnon
26:47you can even say Cadarius Honey Micole Hardman like they've always had this role around like getting explosive players the ball in space designing
26:56screens kind of like gimmicky stuff for them. I do kind of think that Walker is like one of their best Yak options in in
27:04the screen game. I mean, you obviously have Rasheed Rice there, but outside of that, it's like a very thin room. Like,
27:10do you have to design touches for the backup running backs, Amari D.
27:14Maricardo, um, EMTT Johnson, Bashard Smith, like not really. I kind of expect a lot of those screens and gimmick touches to to go to Kenneth Walker. And
27:24yeah, I think as more evidence of that, I was trying to pull up pull up the stats now, but the Seahawks in 2024 less
27:30so last year, he actually I think was like top top five, top eight or so in in running back target share uh throughout
27:38that season. Um, you know, at 23% targets per route run back in 2024. That was with with Ben Grub. So, I wouldn't
27:46be surprised like he's shown that ceiling of target earning and I I wouldn't be surprised if that's kind of an underrated part of his his profile
27:52this year.
27:54Yeah, I'm I'm kind of with you on on this. I think a lot of running backs who uh who catch the ball, you know, there's
28:04sort of I think of these guys in kind of different like tiers or kind of buckets where you have your Christian McAffrey
28:12type of guys, your Alvin Chimera type of guys where they're going to have like five plus catches a game. Like they're
28:18going to average five plus receptions a game. like that type of thing is not like a role that they're like, you know,
28:25let's try this out with this random running back. Like that's because you have one of those guys.
28:30>> Um, >> uh, speaking of one of those guys.
28:34>> Yeah, let's go with >> McCaffrey. Let's go with one of those guys. All right. Uh, yeah. So when you move into kind of the lower tier like I
28:44would say like a Bree Hall is probably like a cut below that but like does but is also a guy who's shown enough in the
28:50receiving game where you still do want to like get him involved in a in a pretty big way. Bejian Robinson is
28:55probably like a a little bit of a tier below McAffrey as like a pure receiver, but still like you got to get him the
29:02ball and he's going to have like, you know, maybe three plus to to maybe four and a half receptions per game in in his
29:09big years.
29:11But you then have guys like Joe Mixon and Dalvin Cook where it's like they don't catch the ball a ton, but it's
29:18still like a big enough part of what they do so they don't have to be Derrick Henry.
29:23And >> yeah, >> to be that guy, I think it's like be explosive and just like do what you're do what you the offense is asking you to
29:31do. And Walker has shown the ability to do that kind of level of receiving over multiple seasons and now enters an
29:39offense where like uh oh, we're on the clock.
29:43>> Oh [ __ ] I'm not even looking at the draft. Uh >> Chase Brown, top of the sidekick, then Nvan Chan, Drake Lowers.
29:51I'd be >> all right. Cool.
29:53>> Yeah.
29:54>> Um anyway, he now enters an offense where if they're like, "We're going to kind of move you from Dvin Cookish
30:01receiving work to more like a Bruce Hall."
30:05>> I think he's shown enough where he could he could do that. You could have him.
30:09Again, he's not he's not like a Devon Achan level receiver, but like that that tiered down.
30:16I think he's shown enough. I mean, he's been he's been efficient. He came in the league with terrible receiving efficiency um in college. He had 0.63
30:26yards per hour as a rookie, but then he jumps to 1.3, 1.33, 1.64.
30:33>> Yeah.
30:33>> And now he's in his second contract.
30:35He's pretty good for a running back. And now second contract. And really, I think what he's shown is like the ability to
30:40be uh explosive obviously as a runner, but then also bringing that into the pass game. He's shown I mean he had he
30:48had 442 Yak last year. That was a careerhigh. Uh he's he's been uh not a career high in receptions, by the way,
30:56but but a careerhigh in Yak. And so yeah, he's he's been uh showing improvements there and they could have so much more pass volume as a team.
31:06That's thing where like what if his targets sprout run goes down slightly and he sets career highs and everything across the board receiving like that
31:13that seems pretty likely, >> you know? Yeah. uh just because they're going to pass so much more than the than the Seahawks.
31:20>> Yeah, I think that's right. And yeah, I think also like you do have this is a bit like cherry picked because it's it's
31:26one of his seasons, but the 2024 season, he only played in 11 games, had 46 receptions in that. That's that's more
31:33than four receptions a game. 17 game pace, he was on pace for 82 targets and 71 receptions in that season. I just
31:40don't think people really recognize like on how much of a tear he was on from a receiving standpoint that season uh
31:49because it ended with injury, you know, ended with the coaches getting fired, etc. But, um, he has flashed that that kind of higher volume receiving ability.
31:59Um, I'm >> top of the sidekick here. Yeah, I'm good with that, too.
32:04>> Yeah, I think it's a bit of a tier break for me to the next group of guys. Um, yeah. So, anyways, again, is that hard
32:14is that speculation from the ESPN reporter like hard evidence of anything?
32:18No. But I just think it makes a lot of structural sense in in the offense he's in. It's also an offense that's going to
32:25be running out like Travis Kelce for a ton of routes this year. I think he's past his prime from a target earning
32:32standpoint. It could be Taekquin Thornton as the wide receiver and three wide receiver sets. he's not going to be drawing a ton of targets. Like it could
32:40be an offense that runs a lot through sort of running back uh targets just just given the overall makeup of it.
32:48>> Yeah, I think he's moving from a a system where it's like we got to pound the rock. We need to make sure that like
32:54we're reliably moving the chains with the running game and then setting up these explosives through a low volume passing attack. Uh that's going to be
33:03hyper efficient there. It's like the almost completely flipped like the passing game has been actually shown an ability to move the
33:11chains and kind of keep things uh on the rails despite a terrible running game and the lack of explosiveness >> uh you know in the run or pass game. And
33:20what they really need from Kenneth Walker now is explosive plays, >> right? And like >> that can be receiving, it can be
33:28rushing, but >> this is not a team that's going to like bring on a bruiser. Like he is the bruiser. Mhm.
33:35>> You know, it's a completely different setup, which I think >> really could help him in a huge way.
33:41>> Uh Josh Jacobs all the way here in the middle of the fourth.
33:44>> I'd be I'd be into Jaylen Waddle starting to move up. We could go that way.
33:48>> I prefer I do prefer Wadd, but I'm I'm open to your >> Are you worried about the suspension risk with Jacobs at this point or
33:56>> Yeah, I still I still kind of am. I think it's like really low odds it happens, but I just think that
34:07like I I guess maybe the maybe the issue is like we're not going to get this news, but but my thought process is like if we
34:14get the news, he's not going to be suspended. I don't think he rises that much and then I can just pack my bags
34:20then. Um like I get >> I think he was going two three turn before.
34:27>> Yeah.
34:28I just think that like I don't know maybe maybe I just have like the drafter psychology wrong but I look at the board
34:34like is he gonna flip like Brie Javvante Kirn that group >> I think he'd flip Javvante and Kirn.
34:42Yeah.
34:43>> Really? Okay.
34:44>> Yeah. I think he easily flip Kirn.
34:46>> He'd flip ETN now with the For some reason people >> found out Chimera's there. [laughter] >> I I guess Yeah.
34:58you you might be right. I I I might just be like too riskaverse in this situation, but for me it's like the risk
35:06return of like the Jacob's profile. Like why I always kind of liked him in fantasy is cuz like he was so sturdy and
35:12reliable and now that he has this like massive downside risk priced in it feels like small win like big massive like
35:22devastating loss to me. I realize that like percentage is really low, but it's just like >> for me I I've I've struggled with it.
35:31But maybe maybe I'm too risk risk averse. It's >> I think he'd be kind of a big win in baseball in the fourth.
35:39>> Yeah, I guess if he if he repeats, you know, what he did the past two seasons, that's that's a pretty solid win. Um yeah,
35:48maybe I need to reevaluate that take and and be open to him. I'm not sure I have like great logic for He's not a player
35:54that I would have intuitively told you was a good click in the middle of the fourth cuz I'd be like I like you. I'd
36:00be like I want more of the risk priced in. I uh you know the Sims like him a lot in the
36:06middle of the fourth and I'm basically trusting that. Uh we're on the clock here. Quinn Sean, Tvon, Carninal Tate, Roma, top of the sidekick. Here's what
36:14we're looking at.
36:15>> Um I prefer Trevon to Quinchon if we're going to go running back. Uh if you're good with that.
36:20>> Yeah, let's do Trevon.
36:21>> Cool.
36:23Trevion is a guy I've been trying to get some exposure to. I'm at 5% as you can see and I feel like, you know, it's hard
36:30to get really overweight, but I when I'm in the late fifth and, you know, maybe you're looking for that RB2 in the late fifth and Trevian
36:39Henderson's there, it I it makes me so happy >> and I'm just like I'm just hoping that we get that more.
36:45>> Yeah.
36:45>> Uh which maybe we don't, but I could see it. That's been one of my predictions that that Henderson falls in training
36:52camp.
36:54>> I think it's very very possible or just like preseason snaps come out and >> preseason snaps. Yeah, those those are
37:02my friend on this on this one.
37:03>> Yeah. Yeah. Um >> yeah, just retweeting Yankee [laughter] >> not even commenting.
37:10Maybe I do quote tweet and be like does the eye emoji like [laughter] >> this guy just the eyes and the
37:18>> Yeah. Or like the the sideways like laughing crying emoji like you're you know you're making making fun of people for drafting him. That can bullying
37:26people can work too.
37:28>> Yours yours is the sideways crying laughing and the clown.
37:32>> Yes. [laughter] >> The clown.
37:34>> The clown is good.
37:36>> I'm going to go eyes and grimace.
37:40>> Uh Drake May. I mean >> sure.
37:42>> What do you What do you say? What do you say?
37:44>> Yeah. This is why you take Henderson because then you don't have to take Burrow with Brown. You can take May with
37:50Henderson.
37:52>> Yeah, it's it's way more way more fun there.
37:55>> Also, the bringback with uh with Wadd.
37:58>> Oh, true. I didn't think about that.
38:01Yeah, the uh the Trevon thing I thought I was interesting to or sorry, I was listening to uh Gretch Gretch and ETR's like established the
38:13edge podcast series and Gretch had an interesting interesting take that he thought like the downfield receiving role that Raandre actually had last year
38:23was like designed for Trevian. Like a lot of those plays were designed for him and >> that might be true. Yeah.
38:30>> Yeah. Yeah, like I do there was one specific quote where like I think it was a Raandre like wheel route for a
38:35touchdown or there was actually a quote after the game where Vable was like that play was designed for Trevian or something something like that happened.
38:42>> No, they had repped that in practice with Trevian >> and then when they when they called it in the game where Mandre like happened
38:48to be in basically.
38:50>> Yeah. which I I think like you could read as they wanted that type of role in the offense and then Raandre just was much
39:00more trusted in pass protection like able to be on the field in those type of situations more than Trevian and maybe
39:05in year two Trevian can can figure that out and take take more of it. But yeah, I thought it was interesting interesting
39:13point. I have been like I I firmly prefer Raandre to Trevian like cost adjusted in in baseball this year, but I'm not I'm not trying to be all the way
39:21out on on Trevon, especially >> Yeah.
39:24>> Yeah.
39:26>> And I don't even like firmly preerandre.
39:31It's more like Raandre is like a pretty good pick and Trevian is like a not I would say below average pick but one that I do want to
39:38have some exposure to because he could smash >> he could look super cheap at a price where I'm like this is too expensive
39:45because you're not baking in enough of the downside and then the downside doesn't materialize and he like absolutely nukes.
39:51>> So Justin Herbert jumps to the top here.
39:53Mai Lemon is second.
39:54>> Whoa.
39:55>> Uh what are your thoughts here? Um, Herbert, I I guess. Or I could do lemon.
40:03Um, I I don't know.
40:07>> Kind of a weird one.
40:08>> Yeah, let's let's go with it. See what we get here.
40:12>> Um, I was sorry. I was just kind of trying to I was trying to figure out like why the the sidekick uh flipped
40:18Herbert there and it kind of kind of stunned me. But I think it's a interesting pick. We can now probably, you know, back door Herbert and finish
40:27with a two two KB team.
40:32>> Yeah, unless Mahomes comes back and then it's probably going to want Mahomes.
40:35>> Oh my god. [laughter] I don't know if I don't know if you can do that.
40:40Um, >> when it gets a little weird like this, I'm I'm like more inclined to be like, what what are you thinking about?
40:46>> Yeah, I that's kind of where I was at. I was like, it it doesn't make any sense to me, but I kind of just wanted to see
40:51see what would happen. Uh, >> what do you got going on here?
40:55>> Yeah, we probably I like some of these.
40:58I know the sidekick is all running back and quarterback. I I have liked like the downs um Godwin Pierall uh group here, but I guess it's still
41:09early for for some of those guys.
41:12>> Yeah, I think if you want to take down So, he's not coming back. Worthy probably not coming back. Um >> parasol, huh? We are a little bit low on
41:23piol. Yeah, I actually I think I'm the piol bull among the group and I'm not that bullish. [laughter] >> Yeah, clear clearly. Um
41:34we could we could do Cororum. Uh if he if he's here.
41:41>> Corum I'd be pretty into if he makes it.
41:44Um I think he's >> so small on my screen. What what what pick are we at here? 90.
41:50>> We are at 90. Pick 90.
41:53>> 90. Okay. So, it's like right at 80p.
41:55Okay. Yeah, I'm good with I like I like Cororum.
41:58>> Okay. Let's do Cororum.
42:03>> The Christian McCaffrey, Chase Brown, Trevian Henderson, Blake Cororm combo is kind of fun because you got two guys.
42:08It's like total workh horses.
42:10>> Yeah.
42:10>> And then two RB2s that you paid a lot for, but or could be really fun if it works.
42:18>> Yeah. [laughter] Yeah, [gasps] that's true. very it's kind of two like boom pretty boom bust guys, but at least guys
42:26that like >> they're not zeros probably even in the event that they're like Cororm was an RB2 the entire season last year and he
42:34still put up some like random huge weeks for you. So um you know when the Rams are just completely blowing out teams
42:41and Kairen sits the second half that can be that can be fun.
42:45>> Yeah. Or or Cororm kind of challenges Kirn a little bit as the more consistent runner.
42:51Uh yeah, you know, over the course of the year. So, >> he's been doing some I've seen some crazy offseason workout videos from
42:58Blake Cororum. I don't know if you know the one I'm talking about. Like he's he's got like >> resistance bands and doing like um I I
43:07can't even I can't even explain it to you. It's like he's doing like on one leg like kind of hopping around from
43:15like the ground to like the the medicine balls that are like you know like the half medicine ball that's like you know
43:22used in >> it's like a medicine ball but it's half of it and the bottom is flat.
43:28>> The bottom's flat. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
43:29>> You know what I'm talking about?
43:30>> Yeah. Yeah. I know what you mean. Yeah.
43:32>> Yeah. He's like jumping on that and balancing and it's I'm doing a horrible job explaining it, but it just it looks
43:37insane and I think it's bullish ultimately [laughter] is what I'm just >> I can't explain it bullish.
43:47>> I I mean there there have been you know Brandon Iayuk I think pretty succinctly described as I can't explain it bearish.
43:54Exactly. [laughter] Yeah.
43:58>> There's been both.
44:03Um, >> all right. Looks like running back is gonna be the top suggestion here again with Manungai or or well it'll be
44:07Manungai. Um, then we've got Harold Fannon. We could go to quarterback the the receivers that's telling us to chill on for now.
44:18>> Uh, is Pearl available? Can I talk talk you into one POL share?
44:23>> Persol is available past CDP. Okay.
44:26>> Okay. Let's let's do it. I feel like it's, you know, I was thinking betting on San Francisco. We already have
44:30McAffrey uh pass ADP. I I know like your your inputs must be must be low on him, but I think on this team if your inputs
44:37are wrong, a third wide receiver could be pretty valuable for us. So felt like >> if there was a third wide receiver we
44:43liked here, I bet that he would he would sim pretty well.
44:46>> Yeah. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking is that um Yeah.
44:51>> Yeah.
44:53I mean, we gota Yeah. Is it because you just want to save all your ammo for Deshawn dribbling in the 16?
45:00>> No, I don't think we do take a decent amount of dribbling. Um, late, but it's not I don't think it's dribbling
45:07bullishness so much as, you know, I don't think Paw is he just hasn't shown much, right? He wasn't a very good
45:14prospect. He goes first round. Um, and he got he got last year is kind of the year where he was really set up to
45:22I mean, he [clears throat] had a pretty awesome setup last year.
45:26>> And it's not like he completely flopped, but it definitely was disappointing. And >> uh with Evans there now, who was an
45:34upgrade obviously over Jennings uh KD back for the end of the year, fully healthy hopefully.
45:41Uh interesting that Dobs just flips Wandale. That Dobs seems good to me with Drake May.
45:47>> Sure.
45:48>> Uh >> oh yeah, with Yeah. I I I like like Golden generally over him, but with with May with the Patriots stack, I know you
45:56guys are also >> also out on lower. So, yeah, Pierce Pier for me is just like I >> I know I don't have the exact uh stats
46:05with him. I think se season long uh last year he was just at 1.7 yards per out run, 17% targets per route run. Not not
46:16great, but not horrible. I do think a lot of the context for that is he he started the season quite hot. Um, you
46:24know, his first his first couple games, you know, was at 15 9 29 uh PPR points. So, not like lighting the
46:35world on fire, but a pretty hot start to a season through four weeks. Then got injured. Didn't come back until week 11
46:42and then was really inefficient for a couple weeks like as he was coming back from injury. like weeks 11 through 13
46:47last year, he had a combined total of less than seven PPR points. So like was running 90% of the routes in those three
46:56games and just doing nothing. I was kind of reading that as like he was coming back from injuries. He's not healthy and
47:02then he did have a couple solid games to end end the season um kind of once he got healthier, he got injured again. So
47:09it was just it was an injury plague season. I'm kind of thinking that like I'm I'm reading a bit more into his
47:15start of the season when he was healthy and less so that that back half. And then with a guy like Mike Evans, you
47:21know, who is aging, showed a bit of a decline last year, you know, the the rest of the wide receiver room is huge
47:27huge question marks. KD coming off an ACL tear or Achilles tear, you know, rookie and and dribbling. I'm just like I kind of think the upside case is is
47:36still there for for Pier, but it is like a huge projection. I'll I'll fully fully acknowledge that >> those types of guys did just don't
47:45well sorry we should pick here but um >> so Shakir is one of my highest drafted players and fills out a wide receiver
47:52pretty nicely. I'd be into that.
47:54>> Yeah, >> cool. I'm with it. It's like this is sort of a, you know, I I think this sort of sums up a little bit why
48:03Piol does become a little bit of a tough click in this environment where he goes where it's like you have guys like
48:12Shakir and like Dos who we we tack on post Persaw. I think Pearl is fine for the team with two wide receivers to that
48:19point. It's fine. But I'm just kind of explaining I think a little bit more than I think it's more than just like we
48:23just don't like Pearl. Um, I think it's like kind of the some of the pricing dynamics around where it goes.
48:29>> And like you have Shakir where like Shakir is the number two wide receiver on the Bills.
48:34>> He's not going to run all the routes. He has a he has a lower ceiling than what Pieraw could could turn into on the
48:4049ers, but it's like you kind of know what you're getting to a degree with with Shakir. It's it's not a projection.
48:49You know, Dos, it's not really a projection. They just signed a pretty big money. um you know with at least it
48:56locks in that he'll be like one of their their top two receivers and he's on the Patriots so good offense second
49:01receiver. It's like Pierall is also probably the second receiver but it's like what are you even getting because he was second receiver last year
49:10with worse competition and didn't deliver a ton. Um CJ Stout here top of the sidekick than Omar Cooper, Travis Hunter, Sam Darnold. Uh then Aronda
49:20Gatston and some more quarterbacks >> more more into the wide receivers probably Cooper over Hunter, but those are close for me. Um
49:28>> let's do it.
49:29>> Um so anyway, so that's where I think like his ability to like beat the receivers going, you know, one two rounds after
49:40him is like a little bit suspect. And then the opportunity cost is that you're you're still in this prime quarterback for prime window for quarterbacks.
49:48You've got some, you know, high upside tight ends and Harold Fannon, Kyle Pittz, George KD, and then you've got uh the the running backs are going to fall
50:00off pretty quickly after this, right?
50:03Where we don't take Rashad White or Kyle Manungi, both are gone before he come back, as well as Kenny Gainwell. then
50:09Jordan Mason, Aaron Jones, Bill off the board uh after our dos pick. So you're like if you want another running back
50:17that's kind of like it's not totally last call, but it's I think this part of it is like we you know a lot of it's about what you can
50:25get now versus later. And so it's like yeah, you could >> this could be Pearl or it could be a running back and you'll probably get
50:32similar receivers anyway. So, do you want Pearl helping you hit the flex or this running back helping you hit the flex?
50:41Yeah, I I I totally I totally get that. I think yeah, differences of opinion on I think like the upside case for Paw and
50:51the likelihood of it is probably um our our disagreement there. But I I yeah, I totally I get I get the argument for
50:57sure of like I do like the water super depth in that range. Shakir, I like Shahed a lot. Um, yeah, we've come up on
51:03Jah a little bit.
51:04>> Yep.
51:05>> Yeah. So, >> Coker even we're getting a little bit more of now.
51:09>> Yeah.
51:09>> Um, >> and then you get into Cooper and and Hunter is is pretty underpriced.
51:16Uh, those have been, you know, kind of flagship players for for us this year.
51:23>> Mhm.
51:24>> So, uh, Flag Plant certainly. Um, but yeah, I mean I think Paw is kind with the with the McCaffrey as a
51:35quarterback three. So, >> uh, betting in the on the 49ers with the Paw McCaffrey thing is kind of fun.
51:42>> Yep. Yeah.
51:43>> Gatson goes, he would have been top.
51:45>> Yeah, that' been nice. I like I like Hunter Henry. Um, >> okay.
51:50>> I could keep building that. I mean, yeah, the tight ends are pretty close to me. I would probably default to Henry
51:55because of the stack. Um, and then probably >> might be drafting tight ends back to back the next couple rounds potentially.
52:01So, >> I think so. Yeah, we're seeing a lot of blue here.
52:04>> A lot of blue.
52:05>> I like Sadi. Yeah, we talked about talked about him. Jawan Johnson, I think, is solid, too. Um, yeah, Henry Henry is a guy like I feel like there's
52:15always these guys where they they get underpriced in baseball because like you can't no one is like seriously making like an upside case for Hunter Henry.
52:24Like there's no there's no way to dream on like a Hunter Henry breakout, >> but it's just like, hey, 600 yards and
52:31and eight touchdowns or something like that is like is beautiful at this point.
52:35>> I'm dreaming now.
52:37>> Yeah, exactly.
52:39>> Uh and he's Yeah, he's he's always been a high touchdown rate guy.
52:44>> You know, the Patriots, we're we're betting on them to have a have a big season. So, I I like the pick.
52:50>> Yeah. Yeah, I'm I'm good with it. And uh Joan Johnson's still actually here. Then Kenyan Sadique still here. So >> we're looking at um yeah, probably at
53:02least three tight ends here. Maybe four.
53:04You know, trying maybe try to get a little stack at the end. You know what I mean?
53:09>> Talking about um Eli Ridan.
53:11>> Nope.
53:13>> You got to handcuff. You got to handcuff Hunter Henry in the 18.
53:16>> I'm not talking about Eli Ridan.
53:20>> Oh, you mean David and Joker. Okay.
53:22Yeah, I'm I'm down. [laughter] >> Yeah, David is who I met.
53:29>> Eric Hall. This could be an Eric Hall team.
53:31>> It could be Eric Hall. Stacked without the quarterback. Chase Brown. Eric All.
53:34What if you get all the Bengals touchdowns? You don't even need Joe Burrow for that. [laughter] Chase Brown and Eric All. Uh Joan Johnson made it
53:42back. You give it that.
53:43>> Yeah, seems like a pretty clear >> clear pick ADP-wise. I mean, Bryce Bryce Young is like sometimes when I see a
53:50quarterback fall pass ADP even if I don't have a stack but I just have two quarterbacks. I'm like that's kind of
53:57interesting but I think it would need to be like a full another round for it to be like actually [snorts] worth worth
54:02considering with Young.
54:04>> Yeah. Oh wow. You guys like not in >> Oh wow. Okay.
54:08>> Yeah. Which is interesting. Uh >> he doesn't share a buy. So that's not it.
54:14We're just >> I guess we have we have better like Gino with Omar Cooper. I guess better stat with Cooper. Um, yeah. Yeah.
54:22Interesting.
54:24>> We don't need it. We don't need a third quarterback with May and Herbert. I wasn't saying I'm like looking for
54:29>> show up eventually because he's he'll he'd be such a faller. He'll show up eventually, but if he keeps falling, I
54:35mean, >> yeah, >> but so far Oh, here he is. See?
54:39>> Yeah. Okay.
54:41>> But he's not uh you're not going to be >> not that close. Yeah.
54:48>> Yeah. Yeah, I've been liking like when I >> in the mix here.
54:51>> Yeah. Oh, Trey Harris. That's a good one. Yeah. Um other st I mean I feel like at this point like we're getting
54:58close to overstacking the Patriots like forcing like a booty or something like >> No. No. Yeah.
55:04>> Yeah. I don't think we should do that.
55:07So, um you could think of Pat Bryant as a bring back potentially could be could be interesting uh at some point, but
55:14probably not this next pick.
55:17Yeah. I mean, Brian, you can still get probably 17th here.
55:22>> Yeah.
55:23>> Where's SDP?
55:27>> I think we probably go with one of the >> 204. So, yeah, 17th we could do.
55:32>> We [snorts] could probably go with one of the type like the Schultz Schultz, Barner, Autton, whatever type of guys. I I probably
55:40>> when I see this wall of blue like this, I'm I'm going I keep being receiver for correlation. And it's like I'm pretty
55:47sure I'm not breaking a tie. [laughter] >> You know what I mean?
55:50>> Yeah.
55:51>> Like it's nice to have Justin Herbert stacked, but we have Drake May with Henderson, Henry, and Dos. So like week
56:0017, we we actually are kind of hoping Herbert's been the guy you need. And now May goes nuts, right? So I'm like not
56:09super fussed if I don't have uh Herbert stacked. Ultimately, I think we go roster construction, get Daltton Schultz.
56:17Uh, clearly getting that tight end three is the priority.
56:20>> Yep, we'll go with that.
56:24I was kind of hoping you would go on that whole spiel about not sacking and then the sidekick would just flip Trey
56:28Harris to the top and [laughter] >> like, oh, actually, no, it's >> actually stacking is the most important thing you could do [laughter] right now.
56:36>> Exactly.
56:37>> Frankly, ridiculous that I thought anything before that.
56:39>> Yeah.
56:40>> No, it's just like it is. I mean, it would be really tough for for that to happen when you see that when, you know,
56:46the top five recommendations are all tight end. It's like clearly >> that's happening because the tight end points are hitting your lineup more
56:54easily. I mean, we have Hunter Henry and Jawan Johnson. It's not, >> you know, we're not loaded.
56:59>> No, no, I Yeah, I I I agree. I would I mean, Harris is Harris is fine. If he comes back, I think I'll I'll pound the
57:08table for Harris over >> Yeah. This is um right receivers at the top.
57:13>> Yeah.
57:14>> And you sort of like well you know >> what if we had a more bullish outlook on Trey Harris. Clearly he just goes but
57:21clearly >> you know receiver is a pretty solid pick here. It's we're we're seeing receivers and tight ends is all the top
57:28recommendations. Even as they go they're being replaced with more receivers and tight ends.
57:32>> Yeah. [laughter] >> So you got to scroll a while before you get to a quarterback or a running back.
57:37>> Yeah. I don't I'm I'm pretty good on on running back here. I mean, I I've been like I I don't know, maybe it's the
57:44inverse of the Josh Jacobs thing. Like I don't I don't really know why I'm doing this. I can't explain it, but I'm just
57:49hammering Marshon Lloyd in like every draft and like I know it's I just look I can't stop myself at this point. Like I
57:56I'm [laughter] just like it's out of my control.
58:00>> So good.
58:01>> Yeah.
58:02>> We're up. Uh, Calvin Ridley, Jeremy Bernard, Tank Dell, Dantavian Wix, Ted Hurst all top here. Anything jump out to you? Let me
58:09>> Man, man, not really. Ridley's fine. I I I can't get I I haven't found the late round wide receivers that I'm like
58:19fired up about right now, but I think probably Ridley over a we have like a bit of a shakier wide receiver core. We
58:28already took a rookie and Omar Cooper.
58:30probably probably better to go Ridley over like a rookie type at this point.
58:34Yeah.
58:35>> Yeah. With the wide receiver three coming in the ninth and then we got some veteran guys there, but it's not the
58:41deepest room. Uh I think Ridley probably ends up adding points.
58:46>> Yeah.
58:48>> Yep. I would I think I would probably go like well I'm open to what the the Sims say but like a fourth tight end like I
58:56think Cassiki and then uh is it a seventh wide receiver uh is probably the >> it'd be an eighth receiver 2473 now.
59:05>> Yeah, >> I guess fine. I mean Gassiki is literally going to be top now.
59:11>> Yep. St. Oh, Sour. Oh, no. I was thinking uh I mixed up Stours and Rarin.
59:17I was like, "Oh, wow. That actually is suggesting the the handcuff of of Hunter Henry, but no, not quite.
59:24>> No, the handcuff of Dallas Gddard. The handcuff of uh sorry, Grant Cockater.
59:28>> Grant Cal. Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
59:32Uh I don't I am not a a Ted Hurst guy believer. Is there anyone else?
59:39>> Um I'm more I'd be Pat Pat Bryan here. I kind of like the the bring back. You did call him out a few rounds ago. Yeah.
59:46>> Yeah.
59:50Yeah, I think we talked about Hurst.
59:51Yeah, I like I like Pat Ryan. I I think I um I'm just skeptical on >> on her. I I get the argument for it of
60:00like he is the arch typical ex receiver.
60:04They don't have someone else in that room. I get that like there there's a path for him to carve out a role over
60:10time. I also just think like round three wide receiver from a random small school is like totally the type of guy who's
60:16just like a straight up zero all season.
60:19You know what I mean? Like those guys are pretty boom bust in their ability.
60:23>> They're boom bust. It's true. Yeah.
60:25>> It's it's it's a little scary.
60:27>> I had more before like I had a bunch of I was closing on 30% Hurst at one point and I wrote him up and I'm like I gotta
60:36cool off a little on Herz. Not that I think he's a terrible pick. I still am at 20%. and I still draft him. You know,
60:41we we have I think reasonable inputs, but you know, probably bullish relative to market >> on him. Um but he's he's not like a
60:49total jam cuz some there is that boom bust element to it.
60:53>> Yeah. And I just like how I know there's like way more competition with with Wadd this year, but like the fact that the
60:58Broncos used Pat Bryant as like the focal point of their offense in like the playoffs and down the stretch last year.
61:04It was really weird small samples cuz he like kept getting repeatedly injured, but his like target rate in some of those games was was pretty insane
61:11towards towards the end.
61:13>> Um I like Darnell. Uh if if you're good to go with fourth title of the year, but um >> let's do it.
61:19>> Yeah, I think this >> he's a mountain of a man.
61:22>> He's huge. I was looking, wait, let me let me try to pull up this Darnell Washington stat I had. I was looking at
61:29like, you ever like try to make a case for a player and you're, you know, you're trying to cherrypick stats a
61:36little bit and then and then and then you realize that like >> you're picking out straw men.
61:42>> Yeah, [laughter] exactly. And then you just realize that like there's no like factual basis to it at all. Like I I was
61:49trying to do this thing with >> this is why I like writing because you do this but it's it's not public you
61:53know you're like >> you start like putting your stuff together like clearly everything I thought before I even really dug into
61:59this is going to be right and then you're like >> oh [snorts] no that's wrong [laughter] >> backed up my evidence so I'm going to
62:05have to change what I thought but then I just do it alone and then I just present it to the world like I
62:13>> I thought this all along obviously.
62:15>> Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. So, I I was doing that. I think I said on a podcast that like I was trying to I was trying to
62:21come up with the reasons for why I was into AJ Barner and I was just like he's he's explosive after the catch. Like it
62:28could be a little bit like the you know Tucker Craft profile in year three. And then I looked up the stats and I was
62:32like his yards after the catch per reception is just like completely uh pedestrian. Uh there's no no factual basis at all to what I to what I was
62:41saying. Um so anyways, I haven't figured out why I like why I like AJ Barner yet.
62:46But because >> like coolness per Yak.
62:51>> Yeah.
62:52>> Darn Washington looks like he if there was a meter of how cool you think a player is per yard of Yak they
63:01accumulate. He he just is like his coolness meter like three yards downfield post catch. You're like that dude's awesome. Like he fills it up
63:10immediately.
63:11>> Yeah. Exactly. Oh wait, sorry. To be clear, um I I was saying AJ Barner's yards after the catching.
63:18This was a very >> That guy's not cool at all. He's >> Yeah. No, I don't know why. I don't know
63:23why I like him. I can't figure it out yet. But I do like AJ Barner. I want that take on the record. Um Darnell
63:30Washington, this was a very long way of saying Darnell Washington. You look at all wide receivers that had at least 200
63:38routes run last year. So like semi um sizable sample size and above. He was second to only Tucker Craft in yards
63:48after catch per reception >> now.
63:51>> And he looks cool doing it.
63:52>> And he looks cool doing it. He's [ __ ] 350 pounds. Like he's he's an alignment doing this. He's he's an absurd specimen
64:00of a human being. So, I mean, they they started to do it more later in the season where they would just like, you
64:06know, get him the ball in screens or in space a little bit and watching him like stiff arm like 270lb linebackers like to the ground is just
64:15that coolness meter is just just filling all the way up. So, >> the other thing with Washington is that >> we we're going to learn some stuff in
64:22training camp.
64:24>> If we straight up learn that Darnell Washington is the starting tight end in Pittsburgh, >> yeah, >> we really shouldn't be surprised. I'm
64:30not saying it's going to happen, but it's just one of those things that I think is live that seems it's not what
64:35we expect and therefore there will be people who are like, "What? No, it's Pat Frymouth, you [ __ ] idiot." Like,
64:40"Yeah, I know it's probably Pat Fryouth." But it's a new coaching staff.
64:45>> You know, they talked up Darno Washington literally McCarthy who coached in the 90s was like, "This guy allows us to play 90s football,
64:53parenthesis bullish, parenthesis complimentary." you know, he's he loves he loves Darnell Washington from from the sites. And my one of my other
65:02theories is that Mike McCarthy hasn't watched much football because he hasn't been coaching football.
65:07>> So, you know, he didn't he doesn't have red zone. Mike McCarthy doesn't have red zone. That's another that's one of my
65:12main theories for this season.
65:15And I think I think that he just found out about Darnell Washington.
65:19>> So, he's like, who is this guy? Why is he not being used? you know, I could see him actually having a like a starter
65:25role in, you know, that kind of that 70% rap participation way where maybe Pat Frymouth is more of like the the
65:32complimentary, you know, receiving tight end. Um, >> and Washington is not just a guy where you're betting on him to score
65:40touchdowns on the right week, but he's actually like a breakout tight end.
65:44>> I think it's possible. I >> I think it's definitely possible. I mean, he I feel like he is like if if
65:52the coaching staff trusts him, he's a hard player to take off the field for what he can help you accomplish in the
65:58run game because he he literally is like a sixth offensive lineman on the field, >> right?
66:03>> And and having that plus the versatility of being like a solid passcatching weapon like he he's flashed that a little bit last year, I think is just is
66:12really intriguing. So he's also making the like team investment wise making basically the same amount of money as Pat Frymouth. They both signed like very
66:21similar contracts just Washington signed his a year later basically I believe.
66:26Um, so yeah, I think the Steelers thing is just interesting overall because like you have McCarthy who has a really long
66:32history of being a really heavy 11 personnel guy and now you have these like two I'd say Frier Muth and like
66:40Darnell Washington are both like top 25 real life tight ends like both in the 15 to 25 range verse, you know, top 15, but
66:48they're both quite solid players. like I think this could be a team that is is closer to base 12 personnel than
66:56McCarthy's prior tendencies would would indicate. Um but I think it's you know they also drafted Jeremy Bernard in the second round. So you you can make the
67:04argument both ways. It'll it'll be really interesting to see how how it changes. One of the things about um them being a more in 12 is that like I don't
67:12need to be right when I draft Arnold Washington that he is ahead of Pat Frymouth to begin the season >> because if they play 12 then they both
67:24get to play and Darnell Washington has a chance to outplay Pat Frymouth and has a chance in real football games which we
67:31know coaches get wrong all the time who they should be playing. real football games tell this tell the true story and
67:36then Jeremy Bernard starting to earn more work they're they're playing more 11 maybe the original plan would have been that be Footh and and Washington's
67:45earned more uh by that point in the season so you you have that out now I'm not I'm drafting some firm mouth too but
67:50we get to the end Darnell Washington's there I always think he's a fun click >> and uh yeah I think the last time I I
67:56suggested him in tight end premium FFPC is tight end premium people forget including Jacob Sanderson who I I mentioned Darnold Washington I believe
68:02he just H.
68:04>> So just happy to happy to hear someone else recommend that we should take him.
68:08That was that was delightful.
68:10>> Jacob Jacob's gonna watch watch some film. Um I did >> the ball film too. Just just [laughter] send and Mitchell Evans. I'll send him
68:18some of that. Um [laughter] >> Mitch 11. That's why we need training camp for the Mitchel Evans hype.
68:24>> Yeah, I'm waiting for that. I'm gonna any anything. It actually doesn't have to be any positive news. is like I've
68:31already set up an algorithm that if Mitchell names just his name gets mentioned on Twitter, it's an auto it's auto quote tweet with the the eyes
68:39emoji. So, um [laughter] yeah, I'm looking forward to that.
68:44>> Not burning through uh through Claude tokens on that particular >> No, it hasn't it actually [laughter] hasn't been triggered. It hasn't been
68:50triggered once.
68:52>> Yeah. Yeah. No.
68:55>> Oh, man. All right. I know you got to get out of here. So, I'll recap the team real quick. Uh, for the audio listeners,
69:01we got uh a Drake May, Justin Herbert team. We stacked up May, didn't stack Herbert. Uh, but I think that's ultimately going to be fine when Drake
69:09May nukes as a lowowned week 17 hammer.
69:12Uh Christian McAffrey, Chase Brown, Trevon Henderson, Blake Cororm at running back, Chris Olive, Jaylen Wadd, Ricky Pearaw, Romeo Dobs, Khalil Shakir,
69:23Omar Cooper, Calvin Ridley, and Pat Bryant at receiver with the double bringback on the Patriots stuff with Jaylen Wadd. And then we have at tight
69:32end Hunter Henry, Jawan Johnson, Daltton Schultz, and the Mountain Darnell Washington.
69:38Sam, pretty fun team.
69:41It's just it's like the ultimate uh that's fair team of of all time. I'd say it's just >> there's not not much else you can can
69:48really say about it.
69:52>> That's fair. Uh anything you want to you want to shout out before we get out of here?
69:58>> No, I uh just Yes. Same things as always. I got baseball breakfast uh with Pete and yeah, we'll be back here next
70:08week. as as far as I'm concerned, I don't think any scheduling conflicts next week. So, yeah, we we'll probably have some more more news to discuss. So,
70:17um looking forward to it.
70:18>> Beautiful. Um I will just quickly shout out that we launched the legup kickstand this week, which you can think of as the
70:26Sidekick Light. And uh what this does is it includes some of the key features that we have in the Sidekick. um not
70:36dynamic rankings, that's exclusive to the Sidekick, but it does have the ability to upload custom rankings and then it has the legup rankings built
70:43into it. So, those will stay updated. Um the players just if you have want to sort it by legup ranking as opposed to
70:49ADP or custom rankings, you don't have to do anything. The legup ranks will just be updated as we update them. Uh in
70:56that tool, it has the onthe-clock notification sounds. It's got the player tags for quarterback, flex eligible teammates, week 17 bringbacks, overlapping by-weeks, and then exposure,
71:05which you can customize to be dollar amount, percentage, and this is just part of the legup subscription now. So, if you're already a Legup subscriber,
71:12this is part of your subscription. Uh, you just have to install the Sidekick extension. The kickstand and the Sidekick are operating off the same
71:20extension. We just detect which tier you're at at the site. We still just have the leg up and the Sidekick tier.
71:25Legup tier just now includes the kickstand and uh we're starting subscriptions at 15 a month uh and 99 a year for the leg up tier. So hope to see
71:34you guys over at leg up which includes that subscription all the rankings and uh and articles and all the good stuff
71:42at Legendary Upside. Uh excited about that and uh hope people are enjoying it.
71:48We're going to get out of here. I'll be back on Monday with Greg Branos for legendary coach speak and for best
71:54baseball breakfast with Pete Overzet as will Sam. Hope you guys check that out.
