0:02Welcome to the Legendary Upside podcast and YouTube feed. My name is Pat Crane.
0:06You follow my content at legendary upside.com. Here with me today in person, Eric Roon of Rotororlds. And uh you're going to be at the combine uh
0:14coming up, but you stopped by in uh in person to talk through the NFL prospects for the upcoming draft. Uh how's it
0:22going, man?
0:22>> It's great. And yes, this is becoming yearly uh appointment television, I would think, for the legendary upside viewers. I'm always happy to be here.
0:30And yes, tomorrow morning we are, as you can see, outside here in lovely San Diego, California. But I will be going
0:38east where it will not be so warm, frankly. I think we're about a good 76 today.
0:44>> Yeah, it will not be 76 degrees in Indianapolis. We're supposed to get snow while I'm there. And then after Indianapolis, I'll be traveling back
0:52east to my hometown. You being a Brooklynite.
0:55>> Yep.
0:56>> I am a Bostononian. And yet we still get along. And I'll be going to Boston for two and a half weeks where, as you know,
1:03having heard from your relatives, plenty of snow, >> plenty of cold. Yeah.
1:09>> Uh so this will be literally my last enjoyment in terms of the outdoors for the next month. So I am savoring it here
1:17with you, my friend Pat Karine, the $2 million man, as we like to call him.
1:23>> So thank you for watching.
1:25>> Of course. Yeah. To get into it.
1:26>> Let's dive into it. So, we're going to go through position by position and talk through the rookie class here. Uh,
1:31quarterback, um, is going to be pretty simple talking through both best baseball and dynasty here. Um, and for best ball purposes and really for
1:42dynasty, it's kind of a one quarterback class right now. Probably the second most interesting quarterback for from my perspective for fantasy would be
1:49Trinidad Chamblas, who's been suing to not be in the class. Uh, which kind of tells you a little bit about the depth.
1:55Um, but Fernando Mendoza is going to be the number one overall pick. Uh, that's who I would take if I were the Raiders
2:01at number one. Uh, makes sense to me.
2:03Uh, is going in best baseball at like 133. At leg up, we're a little bit behind that. Um, not like a super strong
2:12prospect to go number one. It's just that he's sort of the only viable number one option at quarterback in this class,
2:19right?
2:20>> You're you're not lying about that. Uh there is no other option with all due respect to the Tai Simpson stands out
2:26there as the uh the street cleaning comes by. It's always always good timing when when you're we're outside here.
2:34We're going to get some sort of street cleaning coming to to en encumber us.
2:39But yeah, with um with Fernando Mendoza, I do feel like he's a legitimate number one QB should be taken as the first
2:46quarterback off the board. I have him ranked in terms of a prospect better than I had Cam Ward coming in.
2:52>> What you like about him is his ability to push the ball downfield. You see him with the back shoulder throws. He just
3:00>> had a mindmeld going on there with Elijah Surroad, uh Charlie Becker on the outside, who really didn't even start a
3:06game until week eight against UCLA and obviously Omar Cooper who moved >> in from being wide 85% of the time to
3:14predominant swat. So that whole alignment really worked out nicely for everybody involved. But um with Mendoza, I I like the makeup. Just I want a
3:24square QB. I want a straightup nerd. And that's what we got out of Fernando Mendoza. You hear >> you definitely have that. Yeah,
3:30>> we got a nerd.
3:31>> You got a nerd for sure.
3:33>> He is going to be in the [laughter] the facility. He's going to be working hard.
3:36He's going to be studying the film.
3:38He's going to be giving campy like Bellich Bradyesque niceness that just exudes from him. He's not looking to put any bulletin board
3:46material. He respects everybody.
3:49>> I don't know. I'd worry some. It feels a little rehearsed to me. That's part of the thing. Like people are like he's so
3:53he's so genuine. I'm like I feel like this he practiced this in the mirror a little. You know, it doesn't seem off
3:58the cuff. It seems uh Yeah, he said these words before his way up. You got to remember, you know, like he wasn't in
4:04the national spotlight over there at Berkeley.
4:06>> Sure. for for a few seasons and um I actually have some >> some personal insight into that where Robert Andre who Jack Andre is a top 10
4:15court uh tight end in this class. He was best friends with Fernando Mendoza uh over there at Cal before Jack Andre went
4:23to Texas and Fernando went over to Indiana. Uh Robert Andre big college fantasy football guy. That's right everybody play co play college fantasy
4:32football if you haven't already give it a shot. We got baseball mania.
4:36>> They have it for college football now, too. They did it last year for underdog.
4:39I'm very proud of them.
4:40>> But, um, he's a big guy and he was checking out some of my analytical pieces about the tight end position and
4:45I become pretty pretty good buddies with them. I hopefully you'll see him over at the combine.
4:51>> Um, but he had said what? So, before even Fernando was on a national level, I kind of had some insight into him and
4:59how he's just a family oriented kid. You see his mom in a wheelchair and what have you. That's something that really
5:05Cunningham really, you know, formed a lot of him and his sort of uh ethics >> where he's seen adversity through his
5:14family and they've all had to kind of get through that and what have you. And >> um when you've been through something
5:20like that, I think it helps give perspective, especially he was at Cal, he did he was a great student there, too. Um so in terms of the smarts, I
5:28believe in that. uh if there's a knock on him, you know, it's definitely definitely aren't any character dings or anything like that, but I would say, you
5:37know, sort of his ability to navigate the pocket uh smoothly and not get >> rattled like he has a tendency to kind
5:46of bail. What's helped him is that he's great on the run.
5:50>> I really like watching him throw on the run. He made some great throws this year that are tough. And it's not just the
5:56the half speed roll out, but like the full speed getting chased down roll out.
6:00>> Yeah.
6:00>> Throwing across the body, being able to hit uh in those circumstances, specifically Tai Simpson, I would say, from this class, that's he struggled
6:09mightily.
6:10>> Yeah.
6:11>> In those spots, you see him spike quite a few of those balls where he's running on a dead sprint and having to having to
6:16find somebody. He gets rattled.
6:19Composure with Mendoza was definitely there, but just the smoothness. there's a little clunkiness in the pocket with his footwork when it comes to just
6:27taking the quick hop step, buy yourself a little extra time. So, that's that's really what I I saw with Mendoza um that I think could could hang him up
6:37a little bit in the NFL would be his his ability to just calmly cooly navigate the pocket. Does volume concern you with
6:45him at all? Because the thing that jumps out to me is like it seems like a little he strikes me as more of like a Darnoldy
6:51type guy than someone you just load up with, you know, pocket passer volume.
6:57Um, and you know, of course, he gets Kubak now who's going to who just came with, you know, from Darnold and it was
7:04a low volume passing game. Very efficient, but low volume there. Is that kind of what you see from him in the
7:10NFL? cuz that that would be that would kind of explain a somewhat bearish position that we have from baseball perspective is I I don't know if they're
7:17going to be building the offense through his arm. It's like a little bit more of like big plays that he can create and I
7:24I think he can do that but that you know his overall drop back volume might be on the lower side.
7:29>> Yeah. Especially for baseball purposes where we're just looking for one year as opposed to Dynasty. It's tough to invest, you know, if I'm not mistaken on
7:39the underdog side of things. I had checked it this morning, but he's in like the late be 27 26 type range right
7:46now.
7:46>> Yep.
7:47>> Ahead of Pennix. Probably rather have Pennix than him. Um, even coming off the knee injury. But, you know, getting to
7:55what we're talking about, Kubak's smart enough to know [snorts] you don't want to overload him. And who's he throwing to at Las Vegas? Bowers and new people
8:04probably Trey Trey Tucker would be the number one >> wide a nice slot receiver but yeah the number one's obviously Bowers. Um you
8:13got Ashton Genty coming out of the back field but he doesn't have a true number one. He doesn't even have a true number
8:18two outside Z. I'd say Tucker's obviously an inside guy. So you're keeping it between the hashes with with Bowers and Tucker like all right. Yeah,
8:28that that's that's good to keep things right in front of you, but we're not going to kind of get to see him use the
8:33sideline like he did with Sarat and like he did with Charlie Becker downfield more so where he just Charlie Becker had
8:38just the ability to contort and win in the late stage of the route uh in a way that you know I don't think anybody for
8:48Las Vegas is really going to be able to pull off. So those back shoulder throws and those really really clean boundary
8:53throws that you see from him aren't going to be as relevant. Um, and again with the under pressure, I got to think
9:00that that line isn't ideal right now.
9:03Um, and Mendoza had a 51% completion rate under pressure last year. You know, he was awesome.
9:09>> Yeah, the line's not good.
9:10>> No, it's Miller was hurt uh last year and him coming back will obviously be pretty huge, but it's still not good. Um, in in
9:20terms of like supporting Bowers, which is probably what we care about most for best baseball. Uh, do you have any concerns about that?
9:28>> Not particularly because he served as the the safety valve outlet as well.
9:34>> And we also saw I mean it was worst case scenario last year for Bowowers unfortunately.
9:39>> It really was.
9:39>> You know unsettled QB position even when Gino Smith a savvy vets in there he was hurt some of the time which obviously
9:46didn't help down the stretch. It was basically a wash season for him. So they will obviously want to get him involved
9:51a lot more often. Kubiaak. You saw what he did with Kyle Pittz, right, last year.
9:56>> Uh, no, with Jackson.
9:59>> With Jackson Smith and J. I forgot.
10:01Forgive me. I'm a college guy.
10:03>> Um, but yeah, I would think that Bowers will be in good shape. I mean, they're going to want to force feed him to the
10:10best of their ability, and it's an easy throw when he's already in line.
10:13>> I would say he's even he's probably more similar to JSN than than to Kyle Pittz really. It's like intermediate, you
10:18know, targets is is over the middle of the field, that kind of stuff. So, I think he'll be in good shape as well. Is
10:25it like Tai Simpson? I guess will probably, you know, be starting at the end of the year for someone as a second
10:32or third round pick. Uh maybe a late first round pick, maybe a mid- first round pick if a team feels desperate
10:37enough. But do you have any interest in him? Like maybe superflex stuff or anything like that? Like where where you at on him
10:44>> with him? It's important to remember what Simpson first, this was his first year starting former five-star, you know, caliber QB who didn't transfer to
10:52fur out of Alabama when he lost the job to Janu Milro in 2024. Like that's that was kind of surprising, you know, but he
10:59stuck it out, stayed with the Kin Debor system. uh for the first half of the year he was excellent and then he got a
11:05little dinged up and you saw his production really start to fall off in the second half of the year culminating with his game against Indiana where he
11:14was literally pulled in the Rose Bowl to give Austin Maxim looks because they it was the point of diminishing returns like what are we going to get out of
11:22this year >> we're going to completely destroy this guy's confidence he he was not playing well >> if he had come back to Alabama would he
11:30have been the starter next year >> oh definitely He would have. Okay.
11:32>> I would think absolutely, especially with having gone through the fire for a year. But >> like you said, you get second round
11:39potential late first round draft capital, you know, staring you in the face and it's tough not to uh it's tough not to have a go at it when
11:46>> it's the right quarterback class to uh to opt into. I think >> yes. [laughter] >> Especially after Dante Moore drops.
11:52>> Yeah. All right, wheels up. Let's go.
11:54>> Yeah.
11:55>> Let's go. You know, but he did um you know, the 17 turnover worthy plays this past year. Yeah.
12:01>> kind of gets into he makes things a little bit harder on himself than he has to. I feel like >> um in in checking out his tape, there
12:08were times where he could have had an easier throw that he chose a tougher throw.
12:12>> Yeah.
12:12>> That ended up getting him into trouble and and you know, similarly to >> Mendoza. Mendoza was just awesome in the
12:19pocket pocket. Um but his pressure splits are even more pronounced. 46% >> uh completion rate, you know, 45 PFF, great under pressure, you know,
12:31kind of goes through that. And he has a tendency, like I had mentioned >> to when he's on that move, he doesn't
12:36throw the ball particularly well on the move and you're going to have some you're going to get pressured in the NFL. It's going to happen. This
12:43>> and he's he's a pocket passer. He's not like very very fantasy friendly as the profile goes. I mean, it's it's maybe
12:50>> Yeah. Not going to run much.
12:51>> Yeah, it's not going to run much. Is there anyone else in the class? Because this there was, you know, Nusmeer was
12:55expected to be, you know, one of the big guys in the class.
12:59>> Uh, Clubnik, I think, had a little preseason hype. There's like other Carson Beck's been like a guy I've heard about for years now. Yeah.
13:07>> So, is there anyone else in the class that you have your eye on from like maybe like Superflex Dynasty purposes or
13:14anything like that? Or is this basically just Mendoza and that's about it? I feel like if uh you're going to take a dark
13:20horse out of the back end of these guys, Drew Aller, it's like we we talked about all these guys like he
13:26>> come out last year, >> Clumnik, >> Beck, all three of them had legitimate buzz going in the season and through
13:32differing, >> you know, Beck actually helped himself a little bit after >> taking a dive um his junior year at Georgia. But
13:41>> look, he was one throw away, two throws away from winning the national title.
13:47>> Y, >> you know, and he threw that that calamitous interception at the very end of the Indiana game, which was I don't
13:54know what he was doing with that, but he he had a pretty good game against as good as anyone else had had against
13:58Indiana. Um, and ditto, you know, Aller as well. You look at Aller, 6'5, 235 pounds. Um, has a good arm. If anything,
14:09my my gripe with him is clunkiness getting through his reads. He tends to be fairly deliberate. Look, >> look, he's very deliberate with that and
14:18almost slow in his processing.
14:20>> It's not great.
14:20>> If he can speed that up, you know, that's which >> coming off an injury, too.
14:24>> Coming off an injury, you know, is that something that's really uh possible? But then also, you look at Cole Payton from
14:30North Dakota State.
14:31>> Obviously didn't get a to look at him a lot during the season because he's FCS.
14:36pretty in like I don't know if he's anything because he's the North Dakota State quarterback, lower level of competition.
14:43>> Cam Miller, you know, was kind of interesting the year before coming out of there. He I think he went sixth round
14:47of the Raiders. He I was on the practice squad all year, I believe.
14:51>> That's probably what we're going to get uh from Payton, too. But he's a big dude, big arm, >> big >> and runs. He actually runs
15:01>> and he he's bowling people over, too.
15:03like >> and apparently looked good at the Senior Bowl.
15:05>> Apparently he did. I was not at the Senior Bowl, thank God for that travel nightmare I I avoided, but obviously
15:12went and took a look at him and watched him >> at North Dakota State pretty extensively. He's got a little bit of a
15:16wind up. He's lefty.
15:18>> Yeah. Yeah.
15:18>> Little bit of a wind up, which you'll have to kind of shorten that release a bit.
15:22>> Yeah.
15:23>> But, you know, for the sort of three quarter delivery that he has, very accurate.
15:28>> Yeah, he's fun.
15:29>> What can you say? I mean, he's complete in the passes. 11.7 uh yards per attempt under pressure.
15:35>> Yeah.
15:36>> Like his ability to handle that and and shrug off tacklers, too, because he's strong.
15:41>> Yeah, he's huge. He's like 225.
15:43>> 233 is what he's built at.
15:45>> Okay.
15:45>> Maybe he tested out something like that at the uh combine, but he's built at 233. And you know, looking at uh his
15:53ability to run, he's probably the best runner. He's probably the best runner in the class. Yeah.
15:58>> I mean, Tayen Green's here, too.
16:01Green, >> they'll put that in. But I mean, I don't I don't believe in his passing acumen.
16:04That's an issue. But >> um just when he was kept clean, 12.1 yards per attempt. Even when when the pocket was muddied, he was good. Like he
16:15was, >> you know, we'll see how the jump in competition really presents itself. But in terms of the the factors you look at for a
16:24fantasy QB, worth a dynasty stab in the third, fourth round out there. Probably fourth round because so many wide receivers we'll get into.
16:32>> Sure. Sure.
16:32>> That are intriguing that I I think you see a lot of third round wide receivers.
16:36>> Yeah, >> obviously will in the second as well.
16:38But >> yeah, he's a guy I would love to see a team, you know, take a fourth or fifth round stab on him, maybe even third.
16:45But, you know, basically the NFL, please tell me this guy is interesting because if you if they think he's interesting, I
16:50think he's really interesting because he's very fantasy friendly. So, he's uh he's kind of fun as a sleeper. Glad you mentioned him. The running back class,
16:57you know, if the quarterback class is kind of like only one real prospect that that we care about. Running back class
17:03isn't quite to that level, but it is >> pretty topheavy. There's one really great prospect, Jeremiah Love at Notre Dame. He's going to go first round,
17:12probably early first round, maybe top 10. uh seems, you know, he comes out for me maybe not as like a bejan level
17:19prospect, but pretty good. And he also shared a backfield with Jajarian Price, who's probably the number two running back in the class. That's that's the way
17:26we have it with ADP. That's the way or we have it with the rank and the ADP.
17:30>> Um we'll talk about him in a minute, but Jeremiah, I love kind of your thoughts on him uh in terms of the talent level,
17:38fantasy friendly, uh profile.
17:40>> Yeah, I mean a superstar. Yeah, >> as you said, >> Bejon is an outlier because he's 225 pounds, >> right?
17:47>> And he's cutting at full speed so fast.
17:50Just >> he moves in a way that just you >> nobody really does. So, it's not fair to really put anybody on that level. Uh but
17:58I think he's definitely there with Genty, >> you know, in terms of what he can do.
18:02He's he's a little different. I think he's more explosive than Genty was >> like straight line.
18:07>> Straight line. Yeah. His hurdling guys.
18:10Yeah, I was lucky enough to go and I saw him a few times uh on the field. I saw him against Indiana last year in the
18:18playoff. I saw him against USC last season as well where he I was right on the sideline when he was hurdling that
18:27defender. And man, I I still remember.
18:31It's one of those things that >> you know, you you have the the GIF in your brain when you're watching it. I'm
18:36just replaying it right now. how I mean he legitimately levitated over this guy.
18:41I couldn't I couldn't believe it. I was, "Oh my god, what are we >> what are we watching here?"
18:46>> Yeah.
18:46>> Um and he had his his touches >> managed too because like I said, you have Jadarian Price. They even put Anias
18:53Williams Junior. That's right. Not a quarterback, a running back. He'll be the starter for >> Notre Dame this year. You saw Anias get
19:00some time as a as a passing down back, but it was basically that one two helped keep him fresh cuz he he wore down on in
19:072024. He got banged up at the end of the season where they, you know, they were trying to keep him healthy for that
19:14extended run where they ended up in the national title game, but he only had like eight carries against Indiana that first game. That would be like the minor
19:22concern for me from fantasy. uh where like Genty, I think Genty was a better prospect from a fantasy perspective because you could kind of count on him
19:31to be loaded up with touches. More that bowling ball type of dude.
19:34>> Sure.
19:35>> And also really good in the passing game as is Love, but you have, you know, that like three down workhorse profile with
19:42Genty where with Love, you certainly could have that profile, but he wasn't that way at Notre Dame. um unusual in that he'd have a he he'd probably have a
19:52a less talented teammate in the NFL than he did at Notre Dame.
19:56>> Um at the same time, I could see him being used like, >> you know, maybe a little bit like Trayvon Henderson was for parts of this
20:05year. probably not phased out for Raandre Stevenson at the end of the year like that, but kind of in more of a
20:11split like that being the plan going into the year of this is like our explosion back, someone we like in the
20:16passing game, but we're not going to ask him to carry the load right out of the gate. Uh I think he's talented enough to
20:21probably take over the backfield over the course of the season in his rookie year, but that would be like the only
20:26real red flag uh that jumps out to me with him.
20:29>> Yeah, I mean it's it's it's hard to really find the flaws. He's an excellent prospect. Like I said, I put him in
20:34there with the the Genty class. And >> yeah, I >> think he's being drafted like at the the early Dynasty drafts. He's going like
20:41early second round. You rarely see him make it to the 26 in startup. So, people would certainly have the confidence he's
20:49going to be able to perform.
20:50>> I He's going mid-second in best baseball. So, I think, you know, >> Wow. Yeah. Even in baseball, too. Huh.
20:55>> Yeah. And I I I don't have any issues with that. We have him ranked uh see him go to Kansas little ADP. Yeah. I mean,
21:01seriously, that that's >> that's possible.
21:04>> It is.
21:05>> He's not going 18 >> or 19 if he goes to Kansas City at number nine. So, he's uh I have like,
21:12>> you know, I want to mention the volume stuff is like one path to him not >> dominating in in his rookie year, but
21:18overall, I'm pretty bullish on him. I would, you know, he's the clear-cut.
21:23>> I would take him over Fernando Mendoza in a Superflex draft.
21:26>> Sure.
21:27>> Yeah, I agree. Superflex Dynasty. He would be my 101 over Mendoza >> um and over the wide receivers. So, >> yes,
21:34>> largely very bullish on him. Uh the way I think we're we're frustrated it is, you know, he just doesn't get fed as a
21:42rookie.
21:42>> Yeah, I think that's reasonable and that's why I think he probably has I would be willing to invest more in him
21:48in a dynasty format than I would Yeah, that makes sense.
21:50>> The best ball.
21:52>> Uh Price, is he your number two running back in the class?
21:55>> He is not.
21:55>> Who is >> Jonah Coleman? Okay, tell me about Coleman.
21:58>> Coleman, 5'8, 225, 228 is what he was listed at. I mean, what I like about him is his feet. You know, you look at what
22:08he did. He he bust on the scene at Arizona. Like, you forget he averaged five yards after contact as a sophomore.
22:19This three years ago he did it, you know, and that's what Jed Fish was at Arizona. Jetfish goes, becomes the head
22:26coach of Washington, follows him right over there. He's a Jfish guy. They get him paid, they get him NIL, they take
22:31care of him, and and he goes and has another four and a half yards after contact in the Big 10 after transition
22:38transitioning from the Big 12. I mean, I I just think the world of him. And not just that, >> catches the ball, too.
22:46>> Yeah.
22:47>> 1.73 yards per route in 2025. And keep in mind, right, that Jeremiah Love 1.83, he was number one. He's number two in
22:55the class behind him in terms of yards per route. But keep in mind, 2024, you're going to people are looking at
23:01his 2025, excuse me, and they're saying, "Oh, you know, we only had 750 something yards. You know, he had the 15
23:08touchdowns." He got hurt halfway through the year and he was wearing a massive leg brace for pretty much the entire second half. actually got to see him
23:17against UCLA and in the LA bowl against Boise State. That was a total blowout.
23:22And I was surprised to see in those last couple of games, those are like two of the last games of the year
23:30for him, if not the two last games. Uh he was still getting carries from Jed Fish despite you could see I mean it
23:38wasn't subtle the big bulking knee brace he had on. He was still grinding it out and playing through it, but he was
23:45clearly impaired.
23:47>> He wasn't the same elusiveness that you saw in that, right? 2023 153 elusiveness rating. 2024 166 eloo and and it's
23:58because of his feet. I've heard, you know, different comps. For me, he's like a faster Raandre. Raandre tapped out like a 465.
24:06>> Yeah.
24:06>> In terms of 40. And he was older.
24:09>> He was like 24 when he came out. 23 and a half 24 >> um out of Oklahoma. Yeah, he was you
24:15know he took some time to get there like >> out of the gate you had >> but also good in the passing game.
24:20>> Awesome in the passing game. Yeah, that was >> and that's what I love about >> him being underrated coming out
24:24>> those feet despite his size and you know checking in at 240 >> the feet he was so quick >> so good at setting up his cut squaring
24:33up to defenders making them make a decision then boom cutting it the other way like I see all those traits with
24:40Jonah but he's faster he's not 4.5 on underdog >> yeah you just took >> on the combine props he's not 4.5 fast
24:49don't get me wrong with that but like 58 those short legs. Oh, come on. Now >> you're taking the over. The over, not
24:55the under 4.5. Over on your combine props. Just came out today. So, that's hot off the presses. And I love, like I
25:02said, I'm I'm I've been I've been on Jonah Coleman longer than anybody you're going to talk to in the dynasty space, I
25:08tell you, because they don't even watch college football until the season's over. No offense.
25:11>> That's true. taken.
25:13>> But uh I I have been on him for three years and I I will not forsake my Jonah Coleman who has a 84th percentile run
25:22grade in all four of his seasons. Even this year when he was banged up. So just keep in mind hurt this year.
25:31Not the same elusiveness, but you watch the first five, six games and that was still the Jonah Coleman. We got a 22 and
25:3722 24 23 24. That is the Jonah Coleman.
25:41watch that tape and you'll see it.
25:42>> So, with Jonah Coleman, we're looking at uh just have the consensus board pulled up on NFL mockdraft database. He's at 78
25:49right now. Um you know, Raandre was a fourth round pick and kind of came on down the stretch of his rookie year. Um
25:59but, you know, became more of a a real fantasy play in year two, year three, etc. So, do you like with Coleman, the
26:06thing I would be concerned about compared to Price would be like Price seems like he's going to go in the second round. And there's I forget who
26:14floated first round, but uh it was floated by one of the national guys. Um, and I feel like like he when I look at
26:22his profile, he looks more similar to just like I don't know, it reminds me of like Miles Sanders or something coming
26:28out where it's like he's Yeah, he was backing up Saquon that you know, but then Sanders actually had the the year
26:34after to kind of show what he could do, but Price is like this under underused explosive athlete, super fast. I mean,
26:41he's someone that's going to run faster than four or five. Um, >> I think he's in good shape. Yeah.
26:45>> Yeah. And so you're you're looking at him as like maybe checking more of like the traditional NFL leadback boxes and that will
26:54probably come with better draft capital which then in turn comes with opportunity. Uh where what are your thoughts on Coleman in terms of like
27:02what his kind of the start to his NFL career will look like? Do you expect him to go third round or later? Could he
27:10sneak into the second round? Could he be like a leadback start? Is he going to be kind of fighting his way for a job? I
27:14think if you could get Jonah Coleman in the third round, you'd be you'd be very happy with that. And I think he could
27:20challenge for carries right out of the gate. Okay. I mean, I really do provided he's healthy, but >> if he's still out there playing with
27:27that knee injur knee brace, you know, he's tough.
27:31>> Yeah.
27:31>> And I expect it's not something that's going to >> right >> cloud his ability to be available at least in the summertime.
27:38>> So, and and we'll see. I hope he runs. I said especially coming off that knee.
27:42>> You hope he runs. Come on.
27:44>> Cuz you think he's going to run slower than 45.
27:46>> Please run. You now have that.
27:47>> He is running slower than 45. Okay, that that's happening.
27:52>> Letting you know.
27:53>> Uh he better run. [laughter] But uh um yeah, in terms of what he could do, I think he could absolutely step in and be
28:02if not the first half of the season, by the time the second half rolls, he's a big dude.
28:06>> Takes a lion share of Gary. Yeah. Well, it's the low center of gravity >> having the density >> that he has, but guys just bounce off of
28:15him >> and he's quick. Like the quick feet in the hole >> making people miss. Like you have to make the first person miss as a running
28:22back. You have to do it. If you can't do that, you can't even you can't even start.
28:28>> You can't even I can't even consider you >> at that point.
28:31>> Like a bigger Kairen Williams. Is that a >> Well, he's way bigger. Kyron's like 195 runs like he's like 215.
28:39>> He does. And at at Notre Dame, too. And he only ran like in the 46es, by the way. Kron Williams, which at 195 that
28:46kill his draft stock. He was like, "Oh boy, >> 465 when you're 195 pounds." But just he does every all the little things. He
28:54does all of it, >> right?
28:55>> And that's what's what really brings him to the dance. He's really cerebral with with Price. Um he's smart, too. I I like
29:03watching him in a zone run scheme where Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah, we're talking. I'm over looking at Price here. Um, yeah,
29:10but with Coleman, the density, the low center of gravity, the ability to just shrug off tacklers and elude them. He he
29:19does it in both ways. And he's catching the ball and he's making people miss in space just like he has that well-rounded
29:24profile that I think will play if you get him in the third round. I think 78 is ridiculous. You know, we talked about
29:31underdog. He's at 117 right now. I want to say Jarian Price is at 98 when I looked at it this morning.
29:38>> You're getting a 20 pick discount from Jarian Price on him. Give him to me.
29:41Okay.
29:42>> Give me Jonah Coleman. And that's not even a knock on Jadarian Price because like I said in the zone schemes when you
29:48see him patient. He's a one cut sort of runner. You don't see him do a lot of the the wiggling which you'll get out of
29:55EMTT Johnson who's also up there as well. um who has more of like an achain profile almost to me where he's good at
30:03cornering ability is what I kind of deem it as where you just boom you go in one lane and you're switching the other lane
30:09you're going the other direction he's pretty good at setting up those cuts >> um but with Price his um >> one cut style
30:19>> true freshman breakout which you love to see as well like they didn't waste any time getting him on the field and he's
30:24with he's in Notre Dame you're in a a backfield of all studs So, >> he was a big time recruit, right?
30:30>> He was he was a good solid high fourstar recruit, but to get them all in there.
30:34>> Yeah.
30:35>> You know, you had Kedron Young in there the year after, too. Like, those guys didn't penetrate. Jabbron Payne was in
30:42there with him in that same class, too.
30:43He didn't see him penetrate the uh the Deb chart either. So, like the fact as a true freshman, he was holding off guys
30:49that were very the whole room is awesome and he's holding off those guys and doing it. I feel like when you're
30:57stretching him out on the zone and he has the option of either bouncing outside or hitting the B gap, I feel
31:03like he can really hit that B gap with speed and and follow his blockers and be dangerous on the second level. Um I I So
31:11I mean the creativity, his vision, the athleticism's there. Obviously he's pretty quick as well. So >> he's a bigger back.
31:19>> He's he's 210 is what he's listed at. So he's, you know, the 210 plus, you expect him to be able to to handle the
31:27workload. Though you do see that the the dark horsebacks that have come out in recent years have been in like as you
31:34mentioned Kairen Williams almost those 200 pounders.
31:38>> Yeah.
31:38>> With the versatility and the ability to kind of, you know, pick up places, catch the ball out of the back field, those
31:43guys have become more relevant in the space creating type game you see nowadays. I feel like so I don't want to
31:51discount the 200 pounders in a way that >> that's fair. That's totally fair. I mean, Han coming out, you're like, "Wow,
31:57this isn't gonna work." Like, he's, you know, there were some people were pretty bullish on him coming out, but there was
32:02real concern about he's like 188 at the combine. You know, he's an between the tackles type of runner really.
32:09>> Yeah.
32:10>> And then, but he's been awesome at that in the pros plus. Yeah.
32:14>> Yeah. It's hard to square him up. so fast. I mean, Olympic level >> Yeah.
32:18>> potential in terms of his speed and that just all flowed downhill with that. If there's anything with Price that I'
32:24>> kind of knock him on, he doesn't, >> you know, lose use the slide step as effectively.
32:29>> You know, he's not making people miss in the hole with quite the same, you know, dancing feet that you do. He does have
32:37that one cut profile >> for Um, so like his raw elusiveness isn't quite there on par with with Coleman who Coleman's a bigger back.
32:47Coleman has better feet in my opinion.
32:49So that's why I kind of gave him the nod over price. So if you're you're sitting So his uh Jarian prices mockdraft
32:56database consensus big board is 57.
32:58Let's say you're a pick 60. Okay. And Coleman just went ahead of you. You're an NFL team. Would you take price there
33:08or is it like are you kind of in on price as a as a late second rounder or uh are you more you know is your
33:18preference for Coleman more about a fade of price or uh bullishness for Coleman as well?
33:22>> I I've loved Coleman for Okay, ever since that second year in Arizona where I went and did some film work on I was
33:29just like, "Oh my god, this guy is the best running back nobody knows about."
33:32>> Okay. And so even last year in my you know C2C board I had him extremely high um based on the rushers. So I have I am
33:42a original Jonah Coleman truther. I am staying with my evaluation and it's not so much an indictment on Jarian Price as
33:49it is just I I fully believe Jonah Coleman is going to be >> okay >> a fantasy worthy running back. I would
33:56be shocked if he isn't in some form of fashion. He's going to be playable. Do you think Price should go second round
34:02in the draft?
34:03>> I think the late second round range is is solid. As we said, it's not a great running back class.
34:09>> You know, but you know, if if RJ Harvey can go in that range, I think that Jadarian Price can be R.J. Harvey, who
34:17>> on this show last year pre-draft made sure to let you guys know to take your RJ Harvey. So, >> the one I remember is uh Alec Manor. You
34:25were like, "No, man.
34:27>> No, no. biomar. No, >> at the time he was in the second round conversation. He >> actually had a decent rookie year for
34:34being a day three guy, >> respectably.
34:36>> Not someone that really paid off.
34:38>> Wasn't a second round. You can't be taking he's going to be a second rounder in that in that, you know, avenue. So,
34:43you can't do it.
34:44>> That was a good shout. Um >> any like so you mentioned Emtt Johnson, Mike Washington's got some, you know, kind of day early day three type of uh
34:54buzz, I guess. And then you've got Nick Singleton, Katron Allen, the two guys out of Penn State. Uh Seth McGawan is
35:02kind of day three that at one point it looked like uh Roman Hembi might be somewhat interesting. He's fallen like a
35:08rock on the the mockdraft database stuff, so I don't know. Maybe he doesn't really matter.
35:11>> I'm not remotely interested in Roman He.
35:13>> Okay. Uh yeah, he I think ESPN had him at like a 100. Um >> stop it.
35:19>> And uh [laughter] >> stop it.
35:21>> He's down. I think I had him at like 150. No lateral agility on Roman Henry.
35:25>> Yeah, he looks very like >> he's very straight line. When you're running >> behind a a experienced 25 26 year old
35:32line for Indiana, you know. Okay.
35:34>> Like Woody Marsish, >> which I >> I like Woody Marks a lot more than I like Roman He I had He pretty down there
35:42my running back list. I'll be honest. I think I'm in my teens.
35:45>> Is there Is there anyone else that uh that [snorts] does jump out to you then?
35:50Um, in terms of at value as as we first off is guys, I want to talk about Mike Mike Washington has to be discussed.
35:59>> Okay, >> I'm baffled at this. I'm baffled at the Mike Washington rocket strapping to his posterior at the Senior Bowl. It's like everybody went to
36:09the Senior Bowl and I looked at him and like, "Oh, this guy runs 20 miles an hour." It was right up there on the on
36:16the board. It says it. He's fast. And it's like, all right, yeah, he's 220 pounds. He's got the size speed combo,
36:22but >> yeah, >> like gota remember he was at Buffalo, right? He was behind AlJ Henderson at
36:32Buffalo. Didn't make it there two years.
36:34Couldn't get it done. Had to transfer down to New Mexico State where he was there with another back in this class.
36:39You know who he was there with in 2024?
36:42>> No.
36:43>> Seth McGawan.
36:43>> Oh. Oh, that's right. They were they were dueling banjos there at that uh at New Mexico State. I thought McGawan was
36:51better, right? So, McGawan goes to Kentucky, Washington goes over to Arkansas. With Arkansas, one of the apex best running teams in
37:02the country. Sam Pitman, their former head coach, was a longtime uh offensive line guru. He got fired halfway through the season. And comes Bobby Petrino,
37:10who's a good schemer. He's not a good motorcycle. Uh uh you don't want to get on a Oh, his first stint with Arkansas.
37:18He took a co-ed for a ride on the back of his motorcycle when he was married.
37:22And >> got into some um got into some trouble.
37:25He had like the full like a wrestling heel WWE neck brace. You know, like you see Bobby Heenan back in the day when
37:32you got injured wearing the neck brace.
37:34He had like a press conference with a neck brace and everything.
37:36>> Okay.
37:36>> Sorry for everybody getting off task there with Bobby Patrino.
37:41>> Tales of Wo.
37:41>> That's okay. But uh yeah, but with Washington like that that offense that that was one of the best. I think it had
37:49the num number one in rushing success rate. Oh yeah, let's go Murphy.
37:52>> Doggy time. What's up, Murf?
37:54>> Number one in rushing success rate as a team. And you know, their blocking, I want to say their yards per contact was
38:01exceptional as well. So when I'm watching him, right, only 34 missed tackles in 167 attempts. Wasn't particularly elusive. good following his
38:11blocks, but man, you're watching him off tackle and he's running through massive holes, like some massive holes. And like he rarely, and we'll talk about it, we
38:21talked about before, making the first guy miss is so important, just rarely makes that first guy miss. And you, he had a couple good games where he gets
38:30one-on- ones with linebackers in the hole and and okay, he'll go and >> and plant his foot in the ground, but
38:36>> he's not instinctive. Like I feel like he's out there getting what's blocked and he he's not doing much more, you
38:44know? So when you're And there's also the other factor, right? He's getting more creases opening up because you have Talon Green at quarterback where they're
38:52doing a lot of the RPOS's. So they they have to maintain gap integrity. You can't go and overcommit, >> especially the guys coming from the edge
39:00>> where they have to break down a little bit because if if Green keeps it, then he's going right around that that edge
39:05and he's gone.
39:06>> Yeah. So you're not gonna get that same RPO, you know, backing, >> right?
39:12>> You're gonna in the NFL. That's just not a thing unless you had RG3 from two 2012 and didn't work too well out too well
39:18for him. So >> I feel like scheme-wise he is getting, you know, he's like RB 67 right now.
39:25>> Yeah, but it's thin, man. Yeah, I think RB7.
39:29>> Yeah, RB7. That's a little bit overly bullish, you know, for him in in my >> We have him a little bit behind ADP,
39:36about 12 picks behind ADP. It's sort of like, hey, he's probably going to get drafted early fourth.
39:41>> The guys that do jump out to us, so we're ahead of ADP on Love, head of ADP on Price, head of ADP on Coleman, behind
39:48ADP on EMTT Johnson, uh, by about 10 picks, and then a little bit ahead of ADP on, uh, Katron. Actually, significantly ahead of ADP on both
39:57Katron >> and Singleton. Singleton suffered a broken foot uh at the Senior Bowl which is going to he's not going to work out
40:05now.
40:05>> Love to see him test. He he that that's going to hurt him. It's going to hurt him, right?
40:09>> He will run well.
40:10>> Yeah, that that's it's robs him of an opportunity to impress, right? So that's that's disappointing. He both guys are probably like early day three type of
40:19guys, but I could see for different reasons, you know, Allen is more of the the thunder type of back. Singleton's kind of the lightning back, but both
40:28guys you could see like landing on a depth chart with not a ton of competition, maybe a weak starter and becoming the starting running back down
40:37the stretch, I think. Uh, and you're getting both guys in baseball. Uh even us being ahead, we have Kron Allen at
40:45151, Singleton at 168. Yeah. And that's like two rounds ahead of ADP on both guys. So they're they're very affordable. Um and and strike me as
40:54pretty solid, you know, kind of like second round type of dart throws in a thin class uh in dynasty drafts as well.
41:01>> Yeah, I I feel like with Allen, absolutely. I'm higher than consensus on him. Uh, I I love his feet, you know,
41:09patient, uses pace steps, waits for his blocks, isn't just hurrying right in on the the back of blockers like you saw
41:15from Trevon Henderson a little bit with that lack of experience where you're just like >> he's not processing as things are going
41:22through. He's like, I got to get there.
41:24I'm fast. I got to get through the line.
41:25>> He's fast.
41:26>> He is fast. But there's a reason why what he had like, >> yeah, >> four snaps against Denver in that snow
41:32game. They're like, no, no, no, >> no, no. Not today. Right, Trevion. We need Randre who his his problems were fumbling early in the year and he he
41:40handled that pretty nicely. Fixed that up nice.
41:43>> Very dependable. Um he's it just >> with Kron he took over the lead running back role in in Penn State to frankly an
41:54extent that I I wasn't ready for preseason because you figure you get a 50/50 but >> Singleton was the passing down back.
42:01That's what he was doing. like you didn't see his ability to really read the blocks sort of the same in in
42:07Henderson in that way whereas opposed to Kron Allen got better from the previous season 3.8 Yak 57 missed tackles and 210
42:16attempts. Let's go. 27% missed tackle rate. I'm in. You know, 40% break away rate when he was 27% in 2024. So, you
42:25you see that cresting. He got better and better and he's in the 225 220 225 pound range. Both of them are.
42:32>> Y >> but um I just feel like he has much much better feel for the flow and the nuance of the run game and just the patience. I
42:41just feel like he's he's better geared for those first two first two downs, but he didn't do anything in the pass game.
42:49It's still very much a question mark since they they didn't really throw to him at all. It was all Singleton with
42:55that and he was good in that role.
42:57>> But Singleton just the instinctiveness really really running in the back of his blockers.
43:04>> He's a great athlete. He would test his ass off.
43:07>> Yeah.
43:07>> But uh he's not going to have that opportunity because of the foot. That'll probably knock him down in round four. I
43:12think we could see Allen slide into round three potentially.
43:16>> I think he could easily end up in kind of late round three or even mid round three because it's a thin class. So, if
43:22you want to, you know, and who knows with uh the free agency class, it's like potentially strong, but Bree Hall might
43:30not be available, might not be part of it. Um, so there could be a team that misses out in free agency at running
43:37back and figures, yeah, let's take let's go ahead and take Allen in the third.
43:41And he is the type of guy that you could you could lean on as a as an early down type of run.
43:45>> Definitely big.
43:46>> Definitely. Absolutely. You could lean on him. And he's got the he's got the brains for it, too. Like I you can see
43:52that he's smart. He picks his holes correctly. Like I said, pacing. I like his style.
43:58>> Let's talk wide receiver. This actually there's some depth to the class here which is nice. Um we have it's a it's a
44:07pretty good wide receiver class. Not you know over the past few years we've had some awesome wide receiver classes. I don't think I would characterize it that
44:13way but um it's it's a pretty good wide receiver class because you've got these three guys at the top of the class. Uh
44:20Carnell Tate, Mai Lemon, and Jordan Tyson. Those guys are all going in the fifth round in baseball. They're all uh in line basically a kind of couple picks
44:31after each other. Um heading into the kind of my research for the class, I'd heard the most about Tyson and thought
44:37he was going to maybe be the the number one receiver in the class. He's actually going third of those three with Tate,
44:44then Lemon, then Tyson. From a a fantasy point of view, Lemon does have a very fantasy friendly profile from like a
44:52reception point of view. Tate has some real upside. I think is like a downfield player can also do work in the
44:59intermediate area. Not a huge Yak guy, but but definitely a pretty interesting I think, you know, kind of a high upside
45:05uh third-year breakout guy uh coming out of Ohio State. Obviously, ton of competition for for targets his entire career there.
45:13>> Um >> and then you know, Jordan Tyson has this extensive injury history, but has been uh really productive whenever he's been
45:21on the field, four-year guy. Uh will all three of these guys expected to go first round? Probably all of them off the
45:28board by like pick 20, maybe pick 15 even. A couple of them could go in the top 10. Um yeah, so that kind of kicks
45:36off the class and then there's depth to the class as well, which we'll get to.
45:38But what what are your thoughts on the the kind of the big three?
45:41>> Yeah, that's where I'm at. I I got Tate and Lemon pretty darn close to each other kind of depending on what you're
45:46looking at as a team, you know, for competency with with Tyson third. Um, with Tate, it's just for his size, you
45:55see, he's a solid route runner. Um, comes back to the ball aggressively on those hitches and curls, doesn't just sort of wait for the ball to get into
46:03his hands. He moves with fluidity. You see double moves. You see more advanced stuff.
46:07>> Yeah.
46:08>> Out of his his route tree where he's good at I mean, >> you don't see a lot of guys really
46:15baking off clean double moves and and, you know, chain routes sort of a thing.
46:20and he's really good with it downfield.
46:23He adjusts the ball well while it's in the air. Um he's able to win at the catch point, ramps down quick, sinks his
46:30hips, can cut.
46:35Incredible fluidity for size. Catches outside his frame. I mean, it's just everything you want as a boundary X with the exception of just not being
46:43>> 225 pounds like Jeremiah Smith and running, you know, 44.
46:47>> Right. Right.
46:48>> You know, not everybody can be Jeremiah Smith. He's pretty much the best we've seen since Julio Jones in my opinion.
46:55And so >> playing opposite of him, you're not going to have the goddy yards per route totals. You know, they got to spread the
47:01ball around a little bit, you know, as discussed. And they had Ibuka last year.
47:05The wide receiver three. I made a mint off his overs.
47:08>> Nice >> last year because of Ibuka and and Jeremiah Smith there. Like they just they just sort of poop. All right. Well,
47:14you know, he's the wide receiver three.
47:15Like >> he's getting his five six balls a game.
47:18Yeah. He's going to get them. like they're going to spread that around and uh put him in the low 30s was just
47:25license to print money. So definitely feel great about Tate. As far as Mai Lemon, we are here outside Southern California. Uh I went to I've seen Mai
47:36Lemon play in person more than any human being that is opining about the draft anywhere. Nobody. because I went to I'd
47:45say probably a dozen USC games over the past two years. I've seen a ton of Mai Lemon and and personal friends with
47:54Jacobe Lane. Jacobe Lane. I have numerous pictures with Jacobe Lane uh flashing up giving props to college fantasy football too.
48:03>> Nice.
48:03>> Jacobe Lane, supporter of college fantasy football.
48:06>> We'll get to legitimate friend of the show. Jacobe Lane's getting drafted.
48:09We're ahead of ADP.
48:10>> He's my man. He's my man. I'm a I'm personal friend with you. Anyways, uh but Mai Lemon, the toughness across the
48:17middle, the ability to go up and get the ball. He's just you can line him up inside, you can line him up outside, he
48:22has the full profile, he can do everything. Has the jets to beat you down the seam if you want to go and line
48:28him up in the outside and and you know, play press man. He's smart enough and savvy enough to win off the uh you know,
48:34win off the u uh the release wins at all three phases. I mean, I just think he's he's a modernday.
48:43>> That's what jumped out to me is that so when I kind of digging in, right, you have impressions from what like very
48:49surface level impressions of what these guys are. And for Lemon, it was like, all right, he's going to be kind of like
48:56the Aman Rah, you know, USC, he's like the new Alman Raw kind of guy, and she's probably going to be more of a slot guy,
49:03which he did play more in the slot, but >> yeah, it was 5050.
49:07>> Yeah. So yeah, not limited to that, but like you know, it's like he's going to be maybe more underneath and he was very
49:14productive underneath and he's good after the catch, >> but deep lot of production. He actually had the most production over his career
49:22deep compared to intermediate or uh on, you know, shallow targets. Um which was, you know, not what I was expecting to
49:31find. very very productive deep kind of a guy who probably can win like you're saying at multiple levels um which makes
49:39him way more interesting for fantasy like this isn't he doesn't have to just find himself with no target competition and Jared Goff and then you know also
49:49bear is very good as well but he's als he's in a situation where he's getting peppered targets where he might not have
49:55you know with a different quarterback more uh more target competition early in his career so with Lemon. He seems like >> in a way I think, you know, he's a he's
50:05a stronger I mean Aman R fell to the fourth round. He's a stronger prospect than Aman Rah and partly because >> he can win deep.
50:14>> Yes. And I feel like, you know, with Jacobe Lane, we talked about he was more like the inside the 20s.
50:21Um, not I don't want to say specifically jump ball guy, but man, he made he knows how to create separation late in the
50:30road tree when it comes to being that that corner of the end zone. I I saw him numerous times make especially in 2024
50:39where you had 14 touchdowns. Like he was the goal line option. And keep in mind 2024 Deuce Robinson was there right now
50:47the wide receiver won at Florida State.
50:49Zachariah Branch was there in 2024 >> who is also a pretty highly regarded wide >> go first round >> him and his 3.7 A dot you know
51:00>> right >> but that's what happened is is they came in together th those guys all came in the same class all four of them
51:07>> right so you had to kind of divvy the balls up >> interesting >> what eventually happened is it became clear after 2024 that Lemon was the
51:14better slot option he could do more and like I said downfield you don't you didn't see Zachar Branch >> no >> doing much down the field. A lot of it's
51:21those manufactured touches.
51:23>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
51:23>> You know, Rond Del Moore style rip.
51:26>> But with with Lemon, >> short, intermediate, long. He's winning off the break. He's winning on the release and he's winning at the catch
51:34point. It's just like what more do you want? And he's going up and getting balls across the middle and taking >> wax too.
51:41>> Tough. I mean that's you see the the modern day it's separation. you know, you can be 5'10 to six foot,
51:49>> 190ish, you know, pounds to 200. That's kind of the sweet spot nowadays. You almost don't The taller guys is a lot
51:56more variance on them. Like his skill set and his profile is really projectable. I think he's lined at 447 or so on his 40. I think that'd be
52:07anything under four or five, it's great.
52:08>> Great.
52:09>> Given his agility, you know, and his ability to >> to manipulate defenders. So, I think he's right there. I think he's he fits
52:16that JSN, Aman RA, however you want to do it archetype.
52:20>> Yeah.
52:20>> And that's that's the modern NFL.
52:22>> Play in the slot. Doesn't have to play in the slot. Gets open, wins at multiple levels.
52:28>> Yeah. Can motion him. Very very fantasy friendly type of dude. Just to go back to Tate a little bit, he's been compared
52:34uh I've seen stuff like T. Higgins as a comp for him. And I what I what jumped out to me with him is like I feel like
52:41he gets open and can not that Higgins doesn't, but Higgins a little bit more of like the, you know, the bully, you
52:48know, contested catch guy.
52:49>> Definitely.
52:50>> Tate feels like to me like he can get open intermediate, can get open deep.
52:54>> Um maybe more that like rookie year Brian Thomas type of upside uh was what kind of jumped out to me from him. And
53:01and that's why I I like Tate slightly more than Lemon. Um, probably, you know, kind of as like an upside downfield
53:08producer type of play. I do like both a lot. Um, but that's I was pleasantly surprised with Tate being probably more
53:16of a target earner, I think, than than really maybe even was in college because of just how insanely good his target
53:22competition was there.
53:23>> Yeah. And with Higgins is a little bigger, I want to say, in terms of weight, you know, taste around that 195.
53:29What is Higgins? Is he in like the 210 range?
53:31>> I think so.
53:32>> Yeah. So, I mean, he's just a little bigger, which makes sense. You know, he can >> Higginson. I think Tate will test better
53:38than Higgins. I >> I think he will, too. There's a little bit there's there's more fluidity to Tate.
53:42>> Yeah.
53:43>> Than Higgins in my opinion, you know, watching him and how he he's cruising.
53:48>> He gets the cruising speed and then he breaks down quick. Doesn't need a lot of those gather steps to get out. And
53:54that's kind of what separates those two for me out of Jordan Tyson who I do think is is the three behind them where
54:02he's kind of herkyjerky in his routes, right?
54:06>> Like you a lot was made in the playoffs where you heard Tom Brady talking about shoulder playing how you don't see you
54:13don't see popping up going down like that's what I see >> not tipping >> not tipping anything. I see I see a lot
54:19of that from Jordan Tyson because he's in the Big 12.
54:23um you know he was able to yeah get away with it in a way that I don't know if he would have done it in the higher levels.
54:30Um, I watched a ton. I watched everything he did and I would took copious notes and what I noticed is like
54:37the the cornerbacks it looked like they were studying him.
54:42>> Specifically, I want to point out Utah Smith Snowden number two. He's only 5'10", 185 pounds. He freaking wore Jordan Tyson because you could feel I
54:52feel like he tips his routes >> when he's up there. He's running and he's going, going, going, and he's doing like the foot fire and then he's going
54:59off. It's like, "All right, well, all right. If you're going to go and give me that halfway through your route, you're
55:04going to give me the the footfire the steps. Well, I know you're breaking one way or the other, and you saw Snowden
55:09hop right on him." Soon as you saw like that's what happened. Nope. I'm on you.
55:13>> Yeah.
55:14>> And he disrupting the timing. And if you can get your hands on him in a press man setting, >> seem easily you can knock him off his
55:21route. you can disrupt his timing in a way that I don't think you can pull off with Tate and with um Mai Lemon, you know, he's not cutting
55:30at that full speed, you know, and it's foot and it's a direct cut and like it's sharp off of that, but there's tells and
55:38then he'll straighten up, you know, when he's going to make his move. It's like, all right, well, he's straightening up.
55:42Okay, which which way is he going now?
55:44It's just a matter of left or right.
55:45>> Yeah. and he isn't putting a lot of those those double moves that you see out of tape where he's cruising, he's
55:52going one way, and boom, he's breaking them off. Um, he's doing it off of suddenness, right? And that suddenness that works in the Big 12. I don't know
56:04if it works when he doesn't he's not breaking them off cleanly like you see those other two top guys do. I'm curious
56:10to see how guys like Certain >> just sniff that out. Big big guy. You're not going to you're not going to out
56:16physical him. Good luck getting physical with Certain, >> right?
56:19>> Like you're going to go up against those elite corners. They're going to do their research. They're going to sniff that
56:24out and he's going to have to change his game a little bit. I don't feel like Lemon and Tate have to change anything
56:29about what they're doing. They just have to refine it.
56:32>> Yeah. So last year, Tedro McMillan came out, one of the Knox's sort of level of competition, and Tyson has that same
56:40sort of red flag. Um it sounds like you're more concerned with that for him than you were with McMillan who you're
56:46very bullish on. Had an awesome rookie year.
56:48>> Yeah, I was very bullish on him. Well, they're two completely different styles, you know, winning. And keep in mind that
56:54the injury factor, he's been injured every year, George.
56:56>> Yeah. So So still, I don't think he's he said he's not testing at the combine because of his because his hamstring. It's like
57:03that's wonderful.
57:05>> For Tyson, the one that jumps out to me is the knee, which he misses. And so he he tears his knee in Colorado, misses
57:12his entire sophomore season, comes back, is very productive after that. However, it was like a triple ligament tear. Is there any concern there with you of like
57:23medical check stuff like that? That's the one that jumps out to me is like >> all of it has to be factored in,
57:28>> right?
57:29>> You know, and when you're dealing with these other guys, they don't, >> you know, Lemon and Tape, they're smoother.
57:36>> Yeah. as opposed to, you know, it's more violent in terms of the cuts of of Tyson.
57:42>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
57:42>> You know, it's it's more like he's getting that's he's really leaning into it.
57:46>> Oh, I mean, he he's a he's a blast to watch there at the collegiate level and everything. It's just >> there's a fluidity to the other guys as
57:54opposed to a sharpness.
57:56>> Yeah. Yeah.
57:57>> That that is sort of accentuated. He makes it >> the other guys make it look a little smoother, a little easier, a little more
58:03fluid. he's more drastic, >> right, >> about his cuts and and I wonder about how that, >> you know, plays long term in the NFL in
58:12the same manner. I mean, it's not like he isn't he's good. He's he was great.
58:17What can you say? Especially with all the volume. Sam Levit was pretty good, too. I I'm a Sam Levit fan. So, uh, you
58:24know, I liked him as a as a QB. He's now at LSU where you should really take a a leap, but we'll see about that. on the
58:33consensus big board right now. Tate's seven, Tyson's 10, Lemon's 13, I assume, you know, you'd have Lemon ahead of Tyson. But if you're an NFL team at like
58:42pick 15, the other two are gone. Are you Are you down to take Tyson if you need a receiver?
58:47>> Isn't Aren't the Jets at 16? Isn't that where they're at right there? I mean, do it.
58:51>> I I would love to see >> I somehow want the Jets to not draft any receivers.
58:56>> I'd love to see Mai Lemon.
58:57>> I just don't want anyone there.
58:59>> Kyle Lemon and and Garrett Wilson. Oh, that would be great. I mean, I don't have anybody to throw the ball.
59:04>> Yeah, that little problem.
59:06>> That's for 2027. You let them break it in, you know, then you got those two receivers and you bring in one of that
59:11that stacked 2027 class.
59:13>> Give me the number two in a Frank Reich offense without a without a quarterback.
59:17What could go wrong?
59:17>> That's right. Hey, Frank Reich, look what he did with uh Ben G Branson over there at Stanford this year. A QB
59:23whisperer.
59:26>> [laughter] >> I know you guys weren't expecting Frank Ray Beng, but here we are. I'm a college guy. What do you want from me?
59:34>> Um, but you would take Tyson in that kind of mid-first round range as a team or you is he more of a
59:39>> late I I that mid first round? I feel like that's his wheelhouse after the the first two, you know, in my opinion.
59:46>> Yeah. Uh, okay. So then after him, I think there's like a pretty big gap.
59:53Um, and I'm I'm surprised looking at the profiles that we're seeing guys like Denzel Boston to me doesn't look like a
60:01first round receiver. Um, he's athletic, but it doesn't really jump out to me that way. Neither does Omar Cooper. He's starting to get some first round buzz.
60:09Neither does Malachi Fields. He's probably early second. Uh, but he could sneak into the first. He had a strong senior bowl. Um, Casey Conpsion has like
60:20some really intriguing stuff to his profile and also some kind of gadgety red flag. So, he's he's someone that's I'm I'm kind of of two minds about. Um,
60:28probably would just follow the draft capital on him. Uh, and then there's like a bunch of guys who are going to go
60:33second round that I'm that I'm intrigued by there.
60:36>> Huge middle class.
60:38>> Huge middle class. But like I think a pretty big gap from the top three. Uh, you could even tear it maybe, you know,
60:45the top two, then Tyson, but then a big gap in my mind down >> to Boston. I'm not even sure that
60:52Boston's the the fourth best receiver in the class. Where are you at on do like do you agree there's a big gap and and
60:58who's the wide receiver for?
60:59>> Yeah, I do agree there's a a big gap. I think you could say between Conpsion and Boston.
61:05>> Yeah, it's pretty close.
61:06>> Yeah.
61:06>> You know, you have two completely different styles >> for sure. Of course with them you have a, you know, a true boundary X type with
61:13Boston and you have Conpion who's just all over the place. I mean all over the formation. Yeah. Right. You got to
61:20remember and again another true freshman breakout over there at NC State.
61:24>> He got 42 carries or something like that.
61:26>> He was just like the offense >> as a freshman. They did everything.
61:30>> Yeah.
61:30>> Through him. He was the whole >> entire offense. And it's cool to see him then transfer and then be productive
61:38again. Like because with some of these guys it's like yeah okay you were the offense but were you just the best of
61:45bad options? And he's he's been productive with two different programs now. Well, yeah. And he the thing was he wasn't so productive in 2024 because
61:52they had they were breaking in uh you know they they had a veteran in Grayson McCall who had transferred over from CCU
62:02uh and had a pretty good career at Coastal Carolina because they they their scheming and their pre-nap movement like they were so good at disguising with
62:12their intentions. So he comes over to NC State and he was not ready for the prime time. So you had that with McCall coming
62:19over, not really transitioning well, not picking up the offense the same effectiveness that he did in the Sunb Belt, which means and then he got banged
62:28up. So they had to bring in CJ Bailey as a true freshman at quarterback and he's drinking from the fire hose trying to
62:34figure everything out. So like it really suppressed his numbers in 2024 >> to where he took a step back and was
62:41like, "All right, well, what are we getting out of Conception here?" goes over to Texas A&M along with Mario Craraver from Mississippi State. And the
62:49two of them were just unbelievable. And as somebody who has watched a good amount of uh of Texas A&M, I was not
63:00particularly impressed with Marcel Reed's ball locations. Like they had to make some Conception had to make some adjustments on some of those balls.
63:08Marcel Marcel Reed is a true dual threat type, not this pocket passer Mendoza putting it right on the button. Here it
63:16is right out in front of him. It was not the case.
63:19>> Which is why um the contest contested catch marks for Conpsion. 67% in 2025 with balls that are off target that he's reaching back
63:29for and stuff. Really impressive. Um appreciate and he was playing 65% of the time on the outside.
63:36>> Yeah, that's cool to see. like you see it. He's getting legitimate carries over at NC State. He's going winning on the
63:43outside.
63:44>> Yeah.
63:44>> You know, he's winning a contested catch situations and he's dynamic in the return game and with the ball in his
63:50hands. Um, as stated, those are the guys.
63:54They seem to translate well to this NFL.
63:57Whereas, there's more variance on the taller guys like Boston who is smooth, >> who is good in out of his breaks. You
64:03know, I I like Boston. He's solid, but if he goes out there and he's running, I I think he's being lined at 452 right
64:11now there on underdog.
64:14455 for Boston is just pedestrian.
64:17>> Mhm.
64:18>> You know, but he's big, but you're not really dazzled by that. I don't think Agreed. I don't think he's a four.
64:24>> The athleticism is sort of the a big part of the draw. Size athleticism. So, if he's in 455 range, it's like
64:31>> Yeah. Yeah. He's going to be able to stack >> Yeah.
64:33>> at the next level. Well, and if he is an Able Stack, how is he is he going to win on the outside with the same efficiency?
64:38So, I do think there's a legitimate question about that. I I could absolutely see Conpion being put above Boston. I I would have no problem with
64:46that.
64:46>> People have joked about going to the Bills uh Boston and they just it's just culminating.
64:51>> Oh, right. Culminating Coleman >> like, "Oh, great. Contested catch rate."
64:56>> Yeah, that's my concern.
64:58>> Run the gauntlet drill. Let's watch you run the gauntlet really fast.
65:01>> Right. [snorts] Um, yeah, Conpsion is interesting. I do think I like that it's not Kevin, it's Casey. I think Casey
65:09much stronger receiver name. That's bullish. Casey Conception. Yeah, got a little flare to it.
65:15>> And then he's he's >> got some like gadgety concerns. You talk about like the the stylistic thing, kind of >> him fitting the the NFL a little bit
65:23better. In some ways, I agree. In some ways, I'm like, is he going to be kind of this like jack of all trades type,
65:29master of none, you know, where? But I could see him being like a Jaden Reed or, you know, like he's probably going
65:38to be like a little bit gadgety, but not my hope is that not uh not overly so where he can still do like the
65:45traditional stuff you need and then they mix him in a little bit on some stuff where it's not like, you know, not like
65:51Savon Williams or something where it's just straight gadget. Yeah, absolutely.
65:55And with his 7.2 yak, love to see that.
66:00Love to see guys over to seven with the yards after catch and the fact that, you know, he's averaging 15 yards a catch.
66:08So, he's >> he's making his presence felt.
66:12>> Yeah.
66:12>> You know, so I I I think that's in play.
66:15>> Yeah. And he's been So, he started uh for for some reason undrafted. Um he really Yeah. He didn't have an Right out
66:22of the gate. right out of the gate.
66:24Yeah. So, he was he was like a huge priority in those early >> uh underdog drafts and he's he's up to
66:31126 now. We're a little ahead of ADP.
66:34>> We're behind ADP on Boston basically.
66:36So, we have Boston 117, Conpion 118. Got those guys backto back.
66:40>> Um Boston does seem more locked in for first round capital, which I like.
66:44>> He does.
66:45>> But, uh Conpsion like the profile more.
66:48The next guy in our rankings is Elijah Serat and then Omar Cooper. So, those two Indiana receivers are the next guys
66:56that we have. Uh, where are you at on them?
67:00>> Sirat, I'm lower than most people. Okay.
67:03I'm lower uh on him. And I mean, it's because I feel like product of a system. He worked his way up. I I love the fact
67:13that he started out at St. Francis University in Pennsylvania, >> you know, goes up goes to James Madison, follows Signetti there, follows Signetti
67:21to Indiana. It's basically just like Signetti's muse, >> right?
67:25>> It brings him over there. But >> I look at his feet. I I wonder about the speed, you know, he seems a little bit
67:31sluggish out of his break at times. Kind of basic in terms of his route running.
67:35Like his hands are dependable, but there wasn't a lot of nuance to it, you know, and he kind of didn't have to. Um, you
67:42know, I'd see him where he doesn't sell his routes properly. You see those getting jumped uh by even quarterbacks that weren't
67:50particularly good. one particular game against Kennesaw State that I had watched, I remember being like, geez, he's getting there are guys getting on
67:56him that I I he should just be killing them and then even later on as the the playoffs went like he's he's good around
68:04the goal line um you know off his releases. But winning downfield downfield that became Charlie Becker's job, >> okay? you know, towards the second half
68:14of the season once they realize like, oh my god, we can just [ __ ] throw some we just throw it to Becker on the
68:19boundary and he just gets it just put it up there and he's getting it. So like you watch how dynamic Becker was on the
68:26boundary downfield, he looked incredible and you see Omar Cooper obviously where like the he's winning in a lot of different ways that I just didn't feel
68:37like you could see Sarat winning and just the overall speed. I don't know if he's got the the speed, the the body
68:46control, just the overall athleticism to be a wide receiver. One, I think you're looking at a wide receiver 2, three in
68:54an NFL offense, which is not something I'd really prioritize as a firstear player in a best format. I don't think
69:04he's I I have him like 14 >> as a wide receiver. I'm not particularly high. Oh, yeah. I'm not high on SH at
69:10all. I think that's way too high. What is he what is he showing at right now on on underdog? Like seventh to eighth.
69:16>> Yeah, because he's >> that's a product of Indiana in my opinion. You know, he he's got a little bit of buzz.
69:21>> His draft capital's been kind of solidly second round. He's at 59 now. Um but yeah, I mean, if he were to fall to the
69:29third, that would certainly hurt his outlook.
69:32>> I think he seems pretty >> He's some good weddings in that class. I could see him falling in the third
69:36round. That's >> that might be a bit of a bold take.
69:39Cooper has been going the other way where he's been >> dude >> first round Jeremiah's last Daniel Jeremiah's last mock I think.
69:47>> Yeah or no his rankings it was his >> rankings like 19th 19th overall. Like wow.
69:53>> Yeah >> that's a bit high for me.
69:54>> It does seem >> but I don't mind Cooper you know like I I get it. I think he's definitely in
69:59that solidly in in that middle pack >> as we talked about. Um and and as we said, you know, he went from
70:08lining up mostly outside in 2024 to be like almost exclusively in the slot this year. So, it kind of clouds his profile
70:17just a little bit for me since he didn't win with the same, you know, fervor that he did from the slot. Um had some
70:26memorable moments obviously and he's tough when he makes a move and you're in a trailing position. It's tough to catch up to him. like he does a good job
70:34maintaining that distance >> and that separation which is things that I like about him.
70:39>> Um but I think it might be I mean that's kind of high in my opinion for Omar Cooper. I think there's a little bit of
70:45projection but 27 missed tackles forced.
70:50I mean that's it's it's when he gets that in the short area and they're giving the extended handoffs he's dynamic you know in a in a manner that
70:58you look at Conpsion Cooper like he wins that way.
71:01>> Yeah. you know, so the fact that he can win, the fact that he had lined up outside in the previous seasons, uh,
71:08show that he can if needed to.
71:11>> So, I, you know, I'm okay with that. Um, I have couple guys ahead of him in that second tier. One of whom that I'm I'm
71:21clearly higher on. I had looked on uh the best ball, I want to say he was in like the 212 range or so. Best baseball.
71:29I love Chris Bell. Okay, >> he's coming off an ACL, which I think that'll suppress him >> for best ball purposes, but I'm looking
71:37at a dynasty format, >> man. 220 pounds.
71:40>> When did he take the ACL?
71:42>> Uh, late in the season, like late October, early November sort of thing.
71:48>> Okay.
71:48>> So, he got most of his 2025 season in and obviously 2024. But man, he's got Miller Moss throwing him the ball who
71:58not a big arm Miller Moss. I got to see him a lot at USC and just oh gosh the interceptions leaving the ball short on
72:06the on the boundaries where it just floats in a wide receivers's hands. He had to deal with, you know, his lack of
72:11accuracy even even in a Braum system at Louisville because the the Brahms are just geniuses with QBs. They couldn't even make much out of Miller Moss. But
72:21um the acceleration you see from a guy who's 220 pounds, it's rare. like his his stop start he's he catches it and
72:29he's turning up field and he's going and he's so he's physical in a manner that Denzel Boston I'd like to see more
72:37physicality out of him he's not he doesn't like to put hands on >> you know Denzel Boston Chris Bell will put hands on you he will move you out of
72:45the way he will manipulate you throughout the route especially at the top of the route sound like he's he
72:52battles I I love the frame like he has acceleration that is way beyond his size. And I think that's something that
73:02I I've seen translate. If you're going to have the bigger receivers, you have to have the ability to separate and maintain it and show that speed. He's
73:10fast. As long as the ACL comes along well, which is going to impede his ability to test obvious, >> but man, I could see him by the time
73:20season runs around. ACL's are like Tommy John at this point >> for running backs and wide receiver.
73:27Like they all get them.
73:28>> Yeah. It's matter how you bounce. It usually works out and then occasionally does not work out at all.
73:34>> Does not work out at all. I I hope it does. Um as long as he comes back healthy.
73:38>> Yeah.
73:39>> I just think from from a long-term developmental perspective, he could be develop a true boundary weapon.
73:46>> Nice. Okay.
73:46>> So, I like Chris Bell a lot.
73:48>> Anyone else from this second tier that jumps out? Antonio Williams.
73:52>> Okay.
73:52>> I have him as my wide receiver seven.
73:54>> All right.
73:54>> Over there at Clemson. Uh another guy, he played on the outside, played on the inside, was injured in 2024. Uh comes
74:03back and is pretty damn awesome. you know, frankly, six yards after catch always if you're not going to be winning on the boundary, you know, as he's he's
74:14not a 6'4, you know, stud like that, but um still does well with his contested targets, 17 to 32 over two years. Uh wins downfield,
74:25caught five of his nine deep targets, rips up, man, 2.64 yards per route, and uh counting 2024, 17 of 31 deep passes
74:36he has brought in. That's really good, especially when you got Cade Kubnick throwing the ball to you.
74:41>> Yeah.
74:41>> Uh, also to factor in with him, he sustained a hamstring injury after four routes into the LSU game, which is their
74:48their first game this year.
74:50>> Four routes, blows a hamstring, sits out the rest of that game, sits out the rest of the next two games. So, he was coming back from a
74:58hamstring injury after being out last season, still went and popped and had a great season.
75:05um 75% catch rate. That's what we like to see in terms of consistency. So, uh I look at him and I think he can win in
75:14multiple phases and I think that he has the speed and uh receiving sort of savvy >> nice >> to be in that top 10 to be able to be a
75:25factor because he's he's right there.
75:26He's in that 5'11, you know, 190 195 range. That's where you want to be. So, uh, Malachi Fields has been moving up a
75:35little bit. Um, Zachariah Branch has had like some first round buzz, uh, at least early second. Chris Brazzle is, uh, kind
75:44of been really sitting in that second round range this whole time. Thoughts on those guys?
75:50>> Malachi Fields, he's a product of the Senior Bowl stuff. You know, he cut he had that really nice adjustment on a
75:55downfield ball where he had to sort of like twist over and catch it. That's always tough to do. I worry about foot
76:02speed with him. Um, he just feels a little clunky coming out of his brakes.
76:08He's almost, you know, exclusively a downfield type weapon and he was great at that at Virginia, don't get me wrong. Like he
76:16was pretty, >> that's how they used him is they were they were running him in him on the outside and letting him sort of create.
76:25Um I I have concerns about his ability and it's again with those big guys.
76:31>> Yeah.
76:31>> Can the big guys, you know, separate?
76:34Can he take those long strides that he has and and get out of that, you know?
76:40Um he's not a tackle breaker really.
76:45That's you want big guys to play with physicality. Like he tracks the ball extremely well downfield. You can't take take that away from him. hands are
76:54pretty good, but it's the suddenness, >> sinking the hips, you know, um it doesn't really win in the off the break
77:03in those second phase of the routes in the same way that you you'd like to see.
77:08That's where I have concerned about him is is sinking the hips. You know, he'll take some gather steps when he's he's
77:15breaking off his routes. Kind of tells, you know, when you're looking at that.
77:20So, I I know he had a big senior bowl.
77:22You know, he looked great over there. I was I was not there to watch all those routes. Watch some of them. But having
77:27seen him in person a couple times and having, you know, studied I the big guys you have to be careful with these big
77:37wide receivers. feels like they bust more than the low A dot elusive yeah shifty types like Zachariah Branch where yeah
77:46>> 3.7 A dot as discussed you know he's definitely had the extended handoff >> profile but >> he really does like he
77:54>> he really does and the way he catches the ball too he has a tendency to jump when he's going he does the jump catch
78:00yeah >> like as opposed to keep your feet on the ground >> hands and go >> kind of jump and what's that get in
78:06there >> there and it's Oh, that's not good technique, >> right?
78:10>> But he's just so elusive. You know, the the missed tackles, being able to make guys miss the the acceleration, >> agility,
78:19that's that's really the profile. You know, he's like a him and and Conpion have a lot of similarities in that way,
78:27but Conpsion wins downfield more often.
78:30You can you can run a more diverse route tree than we've seen from Branch. And you got to you got to factor in the fact
78:37that Branch got pushed right out of USC by Mai Lemon. They both came in together and it was clear Mai is going to be the
78:45primary slot. Branch saw the writing on the wall >> and he headed out.
78:48>> Who's the dude the Jets took in the third round? A couple Corley.
78:52>> Malachi Corley. Oh god.
78:53>> Yeah. It gives me a little >> Corley was so like little and stocky.
78:57>> Uhhuh.
78:58>> There wasn't a lot.
79:00>> There wasn't No, there wasn't a lot of shiftiness there to him. It's >> they're different style of players. If anything, Cory was almost like a running
79:09back where like he he would blow through tackles >> as opposed to avoid them there at Western Kentucky. But >> Branch has his acceleration um you know
79:19the the elusiveness. It's there for him.
79:22>> Okay.
79:22>> So, I could see that translating in a certain role.
79:27>> Yeah, that seems that's an interesting comp. Wandelle >> that style.
79:32>> Yeah, you know. Yeah, >> he's not big, >> right? Uh, so Tennessee has had this kind of, you know, dynasty and baseball
79:42players aren't in love with Tennessee wide receivers at this point.
79:46>> Brazzle kind of is interesting as another like downfield producer at Tennessee, but it's getting >> it's getting tiresome, right? Is he is
79:56he any different?
79:56>> One of those simple routes over there in the Josh Hypel system. Is this like another version of of that guy or is
80:03there anything more there?
80:04>> Yeah, I mean he had such a comeup this year. You know, you forget his first he was at two lane and then goes over to
80:12Tennessee and and is is is fairly nondescript in 2024. Really didn't do much. Um but comes up this year.
80:22But there's there's concerns. One, like he's he's long and he's thin. If you can get up in his kitchen when you're out
80:30there and press man two 17.4% drop rate 2024 >> 17.4% is astronomical.
80:41>> That's really really high.
80:42>> You can't have that. I mean don't get me wrong straightened that out a little bit this year. Like he's not a tackle
80:46breaker. Nine missed tackles and 135 career receptions. That counts as two years at two lane. Counts an uninspiring 2024, you know. And you have the
80:56breakout 2025, which >> I mean, you watch him when when he gets a step, he can stack defenders.
81:02>> Yeah.
81:03>> Those long legs. If he if he's in cruising speed and you're trying to meet up with him as a safety, you know,
81:0950/50, and you're trying to run downfield with him, that's that's a disadvantage.
81:13>> Yeah, >> that's a position you don't want to be in. But I feel like he's he's like that length.
81:20It's he ramps up quick like he accelerates said you know he can stack but the full route tree
81:30you know it's it's I I I question whether he can do all of it >> but d man he's he can run
81:39>> yeah yeah he's got >> he seems like a genuine downfield type of producer >> it's really you know it's it's almost
81:46like if I had to go with it he's got he's got a son that's going into college this year, but he's got a little bit of
81:52Chris Henry to me is what I see from back in the day.
81:55>> Yeah, >> Chris Henry who was just, you know, for the Bengals taking the top off and he's >> had a couple nice downfield catches.
82:02Like there's moments for Chris Brazelle that you look at, you're like, "All right, this guy >> this guy has speed and he has some
82:10talent. Not particularly physical."
82:13You know, you want to see from I I like seeing big receivers like a guy like Drake London have a bully element to his
82:20game.
82:20>> Sure. Yeah. That's not >> throwing.
82:24>> London was just You see him coming out of college, he's just abusing.
82:27>> He's the power forward type.
82:29>> Powerful just >> ruthless.
82:31>> Yeah. Yeah.
82:32>> When he's got the ball like, "All right, quick hitch turn." And now you're squared up with me, right? And and
82:36you're in trouble because you're 510 185, >> right? and I got 40 pounds on you and I'm going to shove your face in the
82:42dirt. Like I like physicality out of my big guys and I don't I don't see that out of Brazil. Um his release I think
82:49could be better but there's a world where I think it works out with him with the athleticism and the speed and his
82:57ability to you know track the ball is pretty good. I think you're hoping if you're an NFL team for like either he's
83:02like MVS or like Alec Pierce or something like that, right? Where he's like doing or >> totally >> it's not so much with speed with Kahan
83:10Booty, but a similar sort of like, you know, he's he's holding down an outside wide receiver spot and he's producing he's actually drawing some targets
83:18downfield.
83:19>> Yeah.
83:19>> Um not just like helping to open up the offense with just empty routes. Uh >> he's just his lack of physicality and
83:27ability to break tackle is going to affect >> how much he can do >> for sure.
83:31>> Because what are you going to do? Run hitches with him when you know he's not going to be able to escape,
83:34>> right?
83:35>> You know, he's all right. Well, he's just going to get wrapped up. And >> what about Ted Hurst who has like a
83:40similar kind of downfield >> speed thing going on, but he's he's actually like pretty big. When I watched him, I was like, "Oh, he's probably like
83:47195. He's like 218 or something."
83:49>> He's bigger than you think.
83:49>> He's big.
83:50>> She He's so fast for his size.
83:52>> He's really fast. Yeah, >> he is like deceptive. You don't realize it until you're watching him. And and again, >> he's in a 50/50 situation where he's
84:02running downfield and somebody's got to track him and they're not touching him.
84:06>> They're not touching. Then there's no making up ground on him. Honestly, he's fast and he was like very productive,
84:17especially in the the context of the the Georgia State offense. He doesn't transfer. He's a weird prospect in like the modern NIL era where he transfer
84:26>> he didn't transfer. He could have transferred in 2025 I assume and like made some money and been you know at a
84:33big >> what why didn't he and does that concern you at all that he didn't because he was super productive this past year. Um you
84:41know if you look at like dominator rating >> Oh sure that's a one in 111 Georgia State team he was playing for had three
84:47quarterbacks out there and all of them were trash. So, so why didn't he transfer?
84:52>> Like, it's it's an incredible question, especially and get more money, you know, get himself a little NIL bag >> and probably get more money.
84:59>> I wonder have any money to give out? I mean, I don't know. That's it's a good question.
85:04When I'm there and, you know, Ted Hurst is up at the podium and be like, dude, what's >> right, >> what gives what Georgia State what it
85:12was just that nice right outside of Atlanta. I like Atlanta like as much as the next guy. Come on now. I'd be
85:18looking to I'd be looking to get a bag.
85:20But, um, you know, a 10% career drop rate, 61% contested catch rate, right? So, you know, the drops front. All right. You
85:28know, that's that's 10% is worrisome, but you love to see him come up with the CTC's >> for sure.
85:34>> You love the speed at his size. Like, there's only so many humans that can move like that, >> right?
85:40>> At his size. I mean, it's pretty incredible.
85:42>> Tall, too, right?
85:43>> Oh, yeah. He's tall. 63 207 is what he was built at. I think he was >> I think he might have even measured in
85:49higher than 207 at the uh at the senior bowl. Like in college that's where he was at was 207.
85:55>> Okay.
85:56>> Um but yeah, I mean 22% of his targets were 20 yards downfield. That's that's a one out of every four. That's a ton of
86:06downfield targets, of course. But um you know he >> Yeah, you're right. 207 >> 207 is what he was building. 7 and 63 28
86:17was his was his height.
86:18>> 3 28 pretty pretty up there. I mean a legit 63, >> you know. Um >> so not too I gave him an extra 10
86:25pounds, but he's Yeah, he's >> he's a you know a big receiver by today's standards probably, especially for kind of a a a speed receiver. He's
86:35on the bigger side.
86:37>> Definitely. And he he does a pretty good job.
86:39>> He doesn't look like Lanky either, like you know.
86:41>> No, no, he's filled out.
86:42>> Yeah. Yeah. It's not like uh Troy Franklin or whatever where you're kind of like >> I'm exactly 63207 right now at this
86:50moment.
86:50>> Yeah.
86:51>> Playing basketball, >> roughing people up.
86:54>> All right.
86:55>> So, I feel I feel like 63207. You >> I wasn't expecting you to be a comp for the receivers. Uh but but I'll take it.
87:02That's right. Good.
87:03>> That's right. Hardnos power forward >> play inside. Yeah.
87:07>> Damn right. 207. Trust me, I can this shoulder feel. You'll feel that shoulder at 207. [laughter] when I'm getting down.
87:13>> So Drake London to your game. I >> a lot of Drake London. A lot of Bill Lamb beer to my game if you want to go
87:18down that Anthony Mason type. Yeah, I'm a thug.
87:22>> All right.
87:22>> I'm an enforcer. That's how I like it, Pat. [laughter] But yeah, I like Ted Hurst. I think I I have him in my top 15. I think
87:30>> he's even go day two. He could he could land in the third round to by the consensus board 85 right now.
87:37>> Hell yes.
87:38>> Yeah, I think he will. I mean, he's he's as we talked about, he's he's like a bigger dude. He's he's going to test
87:44well, you know.
87:45>> I I would be shocked if he didn't, especially at his size.
87:48>> Yeah. And then it's like one of those he's he strikes me as one of these guys where, you know, just from following the
87:54film, you know, like I get a sense you kind of work through these prospects, right? It's like a it's a process that
88:00takes time to go through all the film and and kind of especially guys who aren't like plugged in with college, but
88:06they're kind of more playing catch-up.
88:08So, you know, you're probably gonna start with a Carnell Tate or my Kai Lemon or Jordan Tit. You're gonna get to
88:13these guys. I think >> he's someone that I feel like I'm hearing was people kind of like, oh, hey, >> Ted Hurst kind of interesting. Wasn't
88:24expecting to see much out of this, you know, Georgia State wide receiver, but, you know, at the Senior Bowl, he seemed
88:29to to surprise some people in a nice way. So yeah, >> he's someone I could actually see rising up the board as more film people get
88:36their eyes on him and kind of do the full deep dive on him. It seems like so far, I mean, this isn't I'm not going to
88:43be doing this, but it seems like he's he's impressed the people that are kind of doing the full the full dive and and
88:48statistically, you know, he dominated an offense and is going to be really fast and hopefully goes day two. That that's that's
88:57something. And he go and he's he's completely free. can take him at the end of best drafts right now.
89:02>> I would assume he's he's probably very reasonable in terms of his cost. I would think in the dynasty realm he's in the
89:08late third round >> that yeah, he's like a third kind of a priority third round pick right now is what I would describe him as.
89:15>> Yeah, that makes a lot of sense and I I think you could you can make out with that. It's hard coming from Georgia
89:21State 1 and 11, you know, Sunbelt >> to really say, oh yeah, I'm taking Ted Hurst and I'm expecting him to be an
89:27every week starter type. But, you know, there's a role for him.
89:30>> Yeah. It's a specific type of I mean, it's the same type of profile we talked about with uh with Brazil where it's
89:35like or Brazil. Is it Brazil?
89:36>> Brazil.
89:37>> Brazil. Yeah.
89:38>> The Brazer.
89:38>> The Brazer.
89:39>> You dirty dogs out there. [laughter] >> Um, but you know, th that type of guy can be, especially in a baseball format,
89:46you know, you get you get a downfield burner who starts playing a lot down the stretch for free. Um, and both guys are
89:53pretty close to free. So, uh, I'm intrigued by that. the there's there's sort of an interesting thing going on with like you have your your Zacharai
90:01branches, you've got some of these underneath guys and then you've got downfield burner type.
90:05>> Yeah, there's there's a blend in this.
90:07>> There's a little bit of everything you depending on your your forlivities.
90:12>> Uh Jacobe Lane you mentioned you're you're best friends with. Uh he's expected to go day two uh late day two.
90:20He's another guy I think is kind of interesting as is, you know, a dart throw at the end of best drafts. Uh,
90:27very draftable. Uh, any any thoughts on him to close out receiver or anyone else you want to shout before we move on?
90:32>> I mean, when it comes to being inside the 20s and the the jump balls in short range, I mean, he's as good as anybody,
90:42if not the apex best in the class. I mean, you go and if you watch a a set of highlights for his touchdowns and
90:51especially those that are coming in gold zone red zone situations, he is awesome.
90:59I mean, and and the physicality, we've talked about that before. He's on the bigger side. a 64200 and he is not afraid to put his hands on
91:08you and he is as good as it gets winning at the top of the route stem, winning at the catch point in the late stage of the
91:16route. That's really what he does well.
91:18What he doesn't do well is the deep stuff. six of 15 on deep targets like he that they were using Mai Lemon for that
91:27downfield, you know, and that's certainly something that that dings his profile and that you want to see your outside boundary type.
91:36>> Yeah, >> that's great. he can go and win on those corner fades, which he he does with a plum, but you want to see him stacking
91:44people, too. Because if you're on the outside, you're going to have to win some you're going to have to be people
91:50downfield and you're going to have to stretch the field, >> right?
91:53>> So, you know, the contested targets, great. You know, he's got a 50% career contested target rate. He's he's good at
92:00the catch point. He's physical. um gets up, plucks the ball at its highest point, you know, he's good at manipulating defenders downfield,
92:10but the full route tree, he uh he still needs a little bit of work on that. And he was, if you mind, out of that class
92:17we talked about from USC that, you know, four stars coming out of it. He was only he was just a regular three star.
92:26>> Like you didn't hear anything about him coming out of high school. He didn't transfer.
92:30>> He was just a guy. Yeah, >> he made his bones. And where I was hearing about him is the people close to
92:37the program, uh, where he was just killing people in practice.
92:41>> He's a self-made guy who arose out of a extremely deep wide receiver room and he did it the hard way. You know, he did it
92:50by toasting people day in and day out on the practice field. And, you know, you just heard about him. you hear the music
92:56be like, "Yeah, well Mai's awesome, but Jacobe, you know, and people knew what they had early on with them." Low three star,
93:05unheralded, you know, coming up making his way out of that. There's something to be said for that, too, >> especially as like a third round pick.
93:12You You want to go, >> you can do a lot worse than that, especially in Dynasty. Yeah. He's not I haven't seen him going in the second
93:19round in many of these.
93:21>> Yeah. Yeah.
93:21>> These I would say he's he's a firm third rounder. Like said, Ted Hurst may even bleeding in the fourth, but
93:27>> yeah, >> Kobe Land's a firm third round, you know, wide out for me. And then I I see you also have Dion Burks,
93:33>> who I've seen Dion Burks getting uh some pub.
93:37>> Don't touch that guy.
93:39>> Yeah, he's not someone that's so so we have the consensus big board up at 102.
93:44He's there, but he's not jumped out to me in as far as he's not in our rankings, I don't think. I've been
93:50hearing about the Dion Burks pseudo breakout for three years now. He had a big spring in Oklahoma at the moment >> in 2024. Everyone's like, "Oh, here
93:59comes Dion Burks."
94:01>> And I'm watching him like, "Where is it?
94:03Where what's the excitement? What does he do?
94:06>> Where does he win?"
94:08>> Like, he's a little flat receiver who you need to get him cross formation where he's already got two steps and
94:14then he can run and he can look good.
94:16But I'm telling you, he's running BA naked down the field.
94:19>> Yeah. But he's a straight slot. He's whatever average size. He's not particularly dynamic. He's not particularly making people miss. I just
94:28I've never gotten it with Deion Burks. I avoided him like the plague last year in college fantasy because I just didn't
94:35see the point of it and and he made me look good.
94:38>> Yeah. What about uh Jeremy Bernard?
94:41>> Jeremy Bernard, you know, you'd like to see higher on the yards per route. you know, he's just a tick under two,
94:49>> but um >> not great. Not great. Um but like he was great at he was real good his last year
94:55at Washington.
94:56>> Um you know, you got Ryan Williams over there as well >> for uh for Alabama, >> he was the big target. Isaiah Horton
95:06looked great this year. He's now out uh he's transferred out of there now, but it's it was a three-man weave that
95:14they're running. So that kind of accounts for some of it. Uh I feel like he's he's pretty damn smooth. He's pretty damn technical.
95:22>> Okay.
95:23>> Like you're running the intermediate stuff, the short stuff. Um he's smooth.
95:27He's cutting it up as soon as he gets it. Moving in one, you know, motion as soon as you catch it and he's he's going
95:33up field. Uh is savvy on the sideline.
95:38Good hands, will take the shot. like he's just a a good solid workmanlike receiver who I feel can fit in the
95:45framework of an offense and and while he's not the deep threat that you really want to see, I feel like he's
95:55everything else. He's he's above average. He's not a superstar at anything in particular, but he's got good acceleration, you know, route
96:04manipulation solid. He's just a a good solid wide out. So, is he explosive? He isn't. Not with the the frequency you'd
96:14like to see as a high-end type guy. I see him as more in the wide receiver 10 to 15 range. Okay. Good solid
96:22>> end of the second, early third.
96:24>> Um, some of the guys we talked about before, I take Antonio over him. I take Bell over him. I take Brazelle. I'd take
96:30Zachariah. I think he's right there with like Malachi Fields. I'd probably put him ahead of Fields. Uh, I'd probably take Jacobe Lane close in that class.
96:40>> Sirat.
96:42>> Sir, I'd rather have the him than Sarat.
96:44>> Okay.
96:44>> I'm not a Serat guy.
96:46>> No, I know, but I kind of wanted to get >> It's a good It's a good They're pretty >> They're pretty good. I think they're
96:53pretty darn close to each other. Okay.
96:54>> Terms of those two.
96:55>> That's what I was curious about. All right, let's talk tight ends. Uh, and we're back to a lack of depth. We're
97:02We're Kenyan Sadi. Um, we've got Stowers. We've got Justin Jolly, we've got Max Claire here. Um, Michael Trigg,
97:11I guess, is sort of in the mix. Um, I don't I don't love the depth of this class. Jolly kind of jumps out a little
97:20bit as in terms of production. I think Sters probably will test really well.
97:25Um, and that makes him interesting.
97:27Claire, I was kind of a little bit more interested in to start and like the draft capital. He's probably a third
97:32round guy. kind of like losing a little bit of the enthusiasm there.
97:37>> Yeah.
97:37>> Um Trig never really been that that into. Um we'll get to Sadique in a minute, but just thoughts on the depth
97:45of this class because it it does feel kind of like a one tight end class to some extent with with maybe Sters and
97:51Jolly and Claire at least there >> kind of in the mix.
97:54>> Sters is going to be a real good receiving >> end. Okay. Tell me about tell me about him.
97:58>> I had a hard time. I really wanted to put him over Sadique in my rankings. really want. Oh, for fantasy purposes, guys. Sadique. All
98:06right. So, I I got a chance to scout Sadique. I saw I was on the field last year uh against UCLA where Terrence
98:15Ferguson got a concussion halfway through the game, which put Sadique into his first really extended watch. So, like I was I was right there when he had
98:23his first extended bout of playing time.
98:26I remember being in the pregame watching him and thinking, "Look at the physical specimen we have on our hands."
98:32>> Right. That's that's the big thing.
98:35>> It's true. You just watch him just like, "My god, this muscles coming out of his pads. He's just like he just he just
98:42sometimes it's as easy as looking a guy and being like, "All right, that is a freak of nature." He certainly looks
98:47like that, >> right?
98:48>> And uh and he was great in 2024. I mean, he caught 25 of 27 passes. He was a demon.
98:5525 to 27. No matter how you cut it, you're catching 93% of your pass. You're doing pretty good. And there was big
99:01things expected.
99:03Big things expected this year. Of course, we thought he was going to be the one. Like, why wouldn't they give him the manufactured touches and, you
99:11know, give him the Y option where he can go and beat guys down the seam. But what ended up happening is he became
99:19sort of the short area option. He wasn't stretching the field. And here's a good stat for you here, right? Out of his
99:27final 25 targets of the entire season, and I mean, my god, he only had 51 catches. So, his final 25 targets, only
99:37one of those targets came more than seven yards downfield.
99:41>> I mean, that is a straight up outlet, >> you know, manufactured >> touch. Yeah.
99:47>> Outlet guy.
99:48>> Yeah. Jamari Johnson who was the tight end too over there. He was the best wide rece best pass catcher on that team for
99:57the second half of the season and in the playoff run >> and went back to school but was he was someone that it sound like the NFL was
100:03pretty interested in if he came out.
100:04>> You should be interested in him when he's throwing freaking Sadi in a locker.
100:08>> Yeah, that interests me.
100:10>> Yeah, >> because he was winning down field. He was hitting the big catches. He was running the seam. They use Jamari
100:17Johnson in that manner. When you're talking about a guy who's going in the top 10, you're like top 20 or so, and
100:24he's getting relegated to outlet guy in the second half of his final season in college.
100:31That's a concern. You're also looking at 10 and a half% drop rate, you know, so like his intermediate, if you chart his
100:37intermediate, chart his deep targets, he wasn't that effective. And that's a concern. Look, you I want to get as much as I possibly can out of my first round
100:46tight end. I mean, when you're talking about athletic projection, I want more production. You didn't have to project anything with Brock Bowards.
100:53You could see it.
100:54>> No, it was there.
100:55>> So, I talked to like with the receivers, you know, I come into to the class, I'm like, "Okay, like I've heard some
101:01things. Excited to dig in more." Sad guys like what? What the hell?
101:09>> Yeah.
101:10>> You expect everything expect God? Yeah, he's he really wasn't very productive.
101:15>> It's the truth. I mean, it's just the truth. You know, that 2024 where he's getting secondary looks behind Ferguson, you know, and he he
101:23gets come in there and and look like the hero.
101:26>> Yeah.
101:26>> Wasn't the same. Wasn't the same.
101:29Especially in the big games.
101:32Like he's just got disappearing. You can't have that.
101:36>> Yeah. And when when you have the other guy literally taking over your role as the big play tight end, I can't help but be
101:45concerned. I have them way closer than I think people understand from a production standpoint in the NFL.
101:52>> Casters, man, you got to remember with him, >> he's going to test well too, right? He's he's >> damn right he will. Yeah. So, I mean,
101:58>> he's 235, but he was a good blocker.
102:00He's the highest rated blocker by SIS >> out of this class.
102:04>> Yeah. And with Stalers, you got to remember he was a QB. He was a Texas&M QB recruit.
102:10>> Then went to New Mexico State, right, where he did the position switch.
102:15>> Yeah.
102:15>> You know who the New Mexico State QB was?
102:18>> Uh, no.
102:19>> Diego Pavia, who then they both go over together, they're best friends. They go to Van.
102:27>> Is that a good thing >> with Mr. Pavia? From what I've heard with some of my friends from uh New
102:32Mexico, possibly not. [laughter] Just I'm just going to leave it at that.
102:38You know, I've heard some things.
102:39>> You just uncovered a red flag.
102:41>> Maybe not. Maybe not. Um but yeah, he's uh forget about the height. [laughter] But yeah, the uh he was tight with
102:48Pavia. He's sort of the guy who kind of Yeah, you heard him after um I say maybe the Alabama game where like he was
102:55starting to get a little bit of a big head. He's like, "Yeah, Eli pulled me aside." You know, he's like, "I'm losing
103:00some of your Millie. We have to stay humble if we're going to be doing this.
103:04So, >> that pep talk paid off at some point.
103:06>> I was going to say he he is the the Pavia Whisperer over there in that that Vanderville locker room and they that's
103:12an important role.
103:13>> Yeah. Okay.
103:14>> So, um you know, with that all being said, like they both went to New Mexico State together and he they linked up and
103:21were just boom.
103:22>> Yeah.
103:22>> He came out and was awesome. Contested catch rate wasn't ideal. you want to see more than 41% out of a tight end, but
103:32man, like 71% career slot rate. He's out in the slot all the time. Like when they need him to block, yeah, he can block.
103:39But man, out there throwing up 3.1 yards per route against zone in the SEC. Like, talk to me.
103:46>> Yeah. All right.
103:46>> Z, you know, zone is zone, >> right?
103:48>> That's that's what they're here to do.
103:50>> There's a lot of zone.
103:51>> A lot of zone. You know, a 36% miss tackle force rate.
103:56>> Awesome.
103:56>> Pretty good. I want my tight ends I want I want them chewing off these little guys coming over to to tackle.
104:02>> And we're seeing the NFL move to more of these multiple tight end sets where you know you're the guy who's going to be
104:07playing in the slot and you can block.
104:10This is kind of the Harold Fannon thing like >> look he can block. Is is he going to be blocking well against like TJ Watt or
104:16whatever? Like no he's not. But he's not going to be tasked with that.
104:18>> He's going to chip.
104:19>> Yeah, he's going to chip or like a run.
104:23>> Yeah, he's cracking back against the linebacker. All right. He can handle a linebacker. He can do that.
104:27>> Yeah. So, that's a that's a profile that's I think becoming like increasingly interesting.
104:32>> Absolutely.
104:33>> Especially if you do have the ability to block. If you're a guy that like is essentially a big slot receiver in a bad
104:39way, that can be a concern. But although, you know, having said that, Aronda Gatston comes out and is super productive as truly just kind of a big
104:48wide receiver with tight end eligibility. So, this profile, you know, we're all scarred if you've been playing Dynasty a while from like Learius Green,
104:57but I feel like there's there's a little bit more to this profile now with the NFL using more tight ends than than they
105:04used to.
105:06>> Absolutely. And running more, >> you know, and that's that's the case with college as well, >> right?
105:10>> You know, the two back sets, it's it's funny. the the college numbers in terms from a college transfer football perspective dipped noticeably last year
105:20in terms of the wide receiver production and just the amount of throws.
105:24>> Yeah.
105:25>> So those guys became a lot more important uh the tight ends because that's both levels you're seeing that permeate and I think Star Wars is is
105:35made for that game.
105:36>> So we've been taking a bunch of Sters.
105:37We've got him way ahead of ADP like 30 picks ahead of ADP.
105:41>> Good. Um, Sadiq though, we're high on two. It sounds like you're just not not into Sadi at like 120, which is where we
105:48have my 126.
105:50>> I I saw him.
105:52>> He might go first round like or he's expected to go first.
105:54>> He's going to go first round probably. I It would be tough to get past Denver, I would think, with their tight end.
105:59>> The Joker roll. We'll finally get >> it. It'd be a lot of fun to watch that.
106:03>> Yeah. But I mean, you know, the beauty of the tight end position and we saw it like you said with Gatsson and Fannon
106:10and I mean I think you probably see Ferguson this year, you know, really emerge.
106:15>> You can find tight ends down the board.
106:18>> You can find them. Jake Ferguson another example, you know, like look how far down he was. D >> all these like you're getting good tight
106:26ends.
106:27>> Yeah.
106:27>> That weren't exactly heralded guys.
106:30>> Yeah.
106:30>> Look at Hunter Henry. He was a TE9 this year.
106:34>> Well, I mean, Fannon went in the third round. Like, >> went in the third round.
106:37>> Yeah, cuz his feet point slightly out.
106:40>> Yeah, dude. He was so good at bowling green.
106:42>> That's crazy. He's the most productive college tight end of all time.
106:45>> Good guy runs a little weird.
106:49>> It's like do you need a 40 time for a offensive lineman? Well, you know, how do you run as Harold Fannon? Didn't have
106:56any problems.
106:56>> No, didn't have any problems at all.
106:57>> And they needed him. Good god, did they need him as a safety outlet whip. But I mean, it's that's [snorts] the beauty of
107:02the tight end position is I'm always wanting to go and look in the third round of the Dynasty rookie drafts as
107:10opposed to, you know, the high-end first rounds because you can you can find them. Murf, we can find them, buddy.
107:17Yeah, you know what I'm talking about.
107:19>> Got Murf here. He's he's excited. He wants to be on camera.
107:22>> Yeah. Sadik I'm interested in just for the draft capital. I think he's a worse prospect than Warren, Tyler Warren last
107:28year. West prospect and Coulson >> Love Lovelin.
107:30>> Definitely. It's not even close.
107:32>> But you are getting you're getting good draft capital, >> you know, in the double digit rounds of baseball. So, I'm actually somewhat
107:38interested in him in baseball, but um >> well, they're out there so much. Like I said, they want so much 12 personnel,
107:45>> right? Exactly.
107:45>> All right, >> that's what you want to do.
107:48>> But Murphy's actually uh on the right track here. We gota we gota wrap it up here. Um >> giving us our signal.
107:54>> Murphy's giving us the signal that it's over. Um, appreciate all the wisdom here. Uh, I'm excited for uh for the
108:02combine and you'll be uh you'll be keeping the people informed uh from being there in person, I assume.
108:08>> Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. I'll be looking at the combine props. Look, Murf is like, "Dude, I want the combine props.
108:14Give me the combine props." So, the fact that you guys are already getting a little jump on that with over 4.5
108:21seconds on Jonah.
108:23>> And if anything, you'd be biased to the under. This is a this is a >> Yeah, if anything I am the Jonah Coleman
108:28guy and I'm looking that saying good luck getting under 45. Good luck. I also say >> Kenyan Sadique is at 451 we just seen.
108:38All right, dude. The guy's 245 pounds.
108:40>> That's >> all right. Maybe he does it.
108:42>> He could do it.
108:43>> Maybe he does it.
108:44>> But man, if you're if you're not getting the the seamwork at your own college being that freaky.
108:52>> Yeah. Are you running a Are you running a 45 flat?
108:55>> Yeah.
108:56>> At 245 pounds? I don't know.
108:58>> Maybe not.
108:58>> I'm gonna go over. So, if you guys want to pair those on underdog, I would say go out there and get
109:03>> Jonah Coleman over 45, Sadiq over 451.
109:07>> Okay, we'll close it there. Thanks so much. Uh, and we'll be back with some more uh some more content on the rookie
109:14class. Going to be talking with uh Davis Madak and Jacob Sanderson on some dynamic.
109:22Yeah, everybody thinks I'm Every time they put something up, they're like, "Is that Jacob Sanderson?" Bro, I am way more ripped than Jacob Sanderson. I saw
109:30him out there in his uh Yeah, he had a shirt off, pick out there.
109:34>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The surfboard.
109:36>> I was like, "Oh, Jacob Sanderson's got a lot of push-ups, [laughter] you got to meet." Long way to go. I don't even
109:41know. He seems like a nice guy.
109:42>> The people are calling you uh San Diego Sanderson.
109:44>> SAN DIEGO [laughter] SANDERSON. I love it. I love it. Hopefully, we get to meet someday at the Fantasy Football Expo or
109:51somewhere. He might. He might get on the wrong flight and end up here.
109:53>> Dude, if he goes to the fantasy football expo, I am demanding that we have home run derby time. You know, the the proton
110:00Sanderson.
110:00>> Yes, >> the clash has to happen in in some >> some very light-hearted format. Of course, because I have nothing against
110:08>> I think you guys would get along great.
110:10>> I think of course we would.
110:12>> You'd sort of you kind of be eyeing each other up like a little like >> Yeah. And then then Jerry Newheisle
110:17walks in [laughter] and IT'S LIKE MY GOD THEY'RE ALL three of them are in the same place. JD Pel from on three. Bring
110:24him in too. It's like all it's like the four of us are all get mistaken for each other. I don't even know if Jared
110:32shoot Jacob is uh is in tune with the college world. But those are >> No, he is. He's he's a big college guy.
110:37Big Deb guy.
110:38>> Good. Yeah.
110:39>> Good. All right. That's excellent. So he knows Jerry New Hisel then. He knows the hair.
110:42>> Yeah. He knows JD Pel, a fellow blonde.
110:46Yeah, we're we're all good.
110:48>> All right, we'll uh we'll see you guys later. Uh good luck in any early uh rookie drafts you're doing and good luck
110:54in the baseball streets. See you soon.
