0:01Welcome to the Legendary Upside Podcast and YouTube channel. My name is Pat Kerrane. You can follow all of my content at legendaryupside.com. With me
0:08today, Sac Religious. Sac, how's it going?
0:11>> It's going well. Excited for this 555 to fill. It's Best Ball week. Finally got promos for the 555. I don't think I've
0:19had a single 555 promo all summer. So, I'm glad to finally be getting some promos for it.
0:26>> Yeah, me too. We're we're excited for the DK 555 promos, which you can check out over at DraftKings. It is DraftKings Best Ball
0:34week.
0:35Been streaming all week. I'll be streaming tomorrow with Sam Sherman for That's Fair, and then back with Jacob Sanderson on Friday.
0:41So, check all those streams out. And yeah, as a DraftKings Best Ball partner, going to be streaming all week. And today,
0:50we got a 555 rolling. It is currently nine of 12 full.
0:55So, if you want to jump in here, help us fill this thing. There are three spots open.
1:03Um So yeah.
1:05>> Oh, we had we were up 10 of 12. We went backwards.
1:08>> We went backwards. Okay. Who dropped out?
1:12>> Let's see.
1:14Uh who was it?
1:17>> And me and Sac Religious are in this draft right now. So, fortunately not I don't see Shady.
1:24>> Yeah, we we managed to dodge Shady. Um we don't have any of my like favorite people to be in a room with in this one.
1:33>> You've got a list, huh?
1:34>> Yeah. Oh, yeah.
1:36There's a list. [laughter] Yeah, there there's some people that are >> stream. Shady might have a list, too.
1:44>> Yeah, there's some people that are straight auto sets. It's a drop what you're doing. Like they're [laughter] they're giving you they're handing you a
1:51lot of money. Just go sit with them.
1:54Um but none of none of those people, the usual suspects, are are not in here right now. Um so, if you are sitting in
2:01this lobby with us, you now know that I think that you're not a total brain-dead idiot.
2:07>> Well, what How nice of you, you know?
2:09>> Yeah. Yeah.
2:11>> Um all right. And so, there's up We're up to 10 to 12 now. So, we might be sitting here for a for a few minutes. I did want
2:17to talk through some of the guys that uh we uh you know, are a little different than market on, which I thought might be kind
2:26of interesting.
2:27Uh you obviously help us out with the rankings and all the inputs for the sims.
2:33Uh and there's a there's a few guys. One of them actually is Keaton Mitchell, who Ben Gretch had a good post on today.
2:40Um He said, you know, don't Ignore the boomers. And I thought, Am I the boomers here? Cuz I'm not in on Keaton, but it
2:46was actually uh he was using boomers in the slappy boomer sense. And Keaton, I think everyone would agree on the slappy
2:55boomer scale, is firmly on the slappy scale. I've contended that he [snorts] might be a little bit more right-wing slappy or Well, I guess my
3:04contention is that there are right-wing Keaton slappies and left-wing Keaton slappies. It's sort of one of the It's like an alien sort of thing, like, you
3:10know, it kind of finds people that have different political viewpoints, but they get paired together.
3:16>> for sure.
3:16>> He's a horseshoe theory slappy player.
3:19Yeah, but there's certainly some uh some hardcore left and right, I think. Uh but perhaps probably I would say probably more on the left-wing slappy axis, as we
3:26discussed a few weeks back. Uh you can check If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out Ship Chasing. It's this
3:31whole thing Jacob Sanderson does.
3:32Um but he is very slappy in the sense that we have not seen it before. It is um speculative, you know? It's very much
3:41based on like a theory of what could happen. Um somewhat built on round a player's profile, somewhat built around coaching.
3:50And Mike McDaniel and kind of what he does for offenses in general, but also for running backs and throwing to the
3:54running backs and how much he likes speed and how much he doesn't mind undersized players. So, it's all very interesting.
4:00Um and actually Gretsch convinced me maybe that that we were being a little bit too uh bearish on what the ceiling might
4:07look like uh because he he made a pretty compelling I thought Gretsch did a good job laying out two things. One,
4:13this guy was a workhorse in college like Devon Achane. I don't think he was anywhere near the prospect of Achane and that I don't think Gretsch
4:20really said he was, but there were some similarities. The speed, him being undersized and still a workhorse even though he is like another 10 lbs lighter
4:28than than Achane. He was a workhorse in college. Uh and then the other thing was like he hasn't done a ton as a receiver,
4:35but he like could. He's been efficient as a pass catcher and he's very explosive and he now joins a guy who who
4:42has thrown to the running backs.
4:44Uh and you know, that could be like a Ravens offense thing to a degree. So, he goes to a Chargers offense that throws
4:51more to the running backs and there's actually a little bit more upside as a pass catcher specifically beyond just kind of the speed runner. And that
4:59speed rusher profile has been sort of what has been tough for me with Keaton Mitchell. It's like if he's not going to
5:04be a receiver, how is there like this awesome upside?
5:09So, um did how how much where are you at on Mitchell cuz I think you might be actually be a little more bearish than I
5:17am post Gretsch post.
5:18>> Yeah, I think I definitely see the rationale behind the relatively small change that we made today. I feel like our
5:27>> Yeah, we made a I don't think you'll actually see much Keaton Mitchell still in the Sims, but uh I moved him up more significantly in
5:33my main event rankings. I'm still pretty far behind ADP, but not >> Yeah, it's not like a big fade now.
5:38>> The inputs felt pretty reasonably dialed in to me when we were reviewing them. Um the stuff that I I concerns about I know
5:46we've talked about the contingent upside being a little hard to get there on for Keaton Mitchell where in the event that
5:53Hampton goes down, it seems unlikely that Keaton is going to be able to take >> Yeah.
5:58>> all of the Hampton work. I do think that is very much true. I think Kamani Vidal would be very annoying in those
6:06outcomes. Uh not not saying that Keaton doesn't benefit.
6:10I'm just saying that the absolute ceiling that you get to realize is probably lower than I think a lot of people are attributing.
6:18And the frustrating thing to me about Keaton Mitchell is like I would like to draft him, but not in the 12th round.
6:24You know, like that's that's really my >> part to me, too.
6:28>> That's my biggest point of contention and I really I don't really think that Gretsch and I are are two if we sat down and
6:38like really laid out exactly how we each feel about it, I don't think that we're that far apart. I think it's just a
6:44price thing where it's like, yeah, I'm just not super interested in paying a 12th round cost for this guy. And I know
6:50Gretsch isn't drafting a ton of best ball, you know, he can't draft in his state that he's in and so being doing the analysis on the Keaton
6:58profile in a vacuum and not in the context of like, hey, this is where Keaton goes though. And like here's the running
7:06backs that you have to take him over.
7:09>> is looking at the I think I think it might be It's funny because it I was going to say it might be a best ball
7:14redraft thing, but part of the issue for me with Keaton is that it doesn't seem like such a big hit type of player.
7:22Gretsch convinced me he's like a bigger hit than I probably was thinking he would be, but the hit is probably through contingent
7:30value, right? And in a lot of cases Hampton stays healthy, so like the it is more of a small hit type of
7:38profile, I think. I still think it is. I think we were probably overstating that before today, but I do it does still feel kind of small
7:48hit to me, which >> I I think that's because of the cost.
7:52>> I guess. It's because of the cost, yeah.
7:54>> was a 16th or 17th rounder, he would be a big hit, you know, you're like, "Oh, that's really cool to get in the 16th or
8:0117th." And that's honestly like for a lot of players where >> He's like in the early 11th round though in the FFPC.
8:08>> Yeah, where we get questions on guys that are like, "Why do you hate player X?" For I'd say the majority of those
8:16types of players where we get those questions, we don't really hate that guy. It's >> Yeah, often I want to draft that guy.
8:22>> to draft him.
8:23>> [laughter] >> He's just a little expensive. Like I don't even We don't even hate Terrance Ferguson. Like I'd be down to draft some
8:29Terrance Ferguson. I'd totally make him >> did take him today. In the 17th or 18th round. It's just that he goes in the
8:3414th or 15th in every draft room that I'm in.
8:37>> That is his fault.
8:38>> Yeah, it's So, it's not that we hate all of these fun players. Like a lot of them we want to draft. They the price is just
8:47an important part of the decision to draft a guy. And so that's where I think that the biggest discrepancy is for me.
8:54And then when you really get into how does this actually shake out for Keeton Mitchell, I think that a lot of the not
9:01ceiling outcomes look pretty frustrating where you're like, "Oh, shoot. Vidal is active on game day. Well, that's that's kind of a bummer." Vidal is coming in
9:10and doing in the >> Yeah.
9:11>> universes where it's not great for Hampton because Hampton doesn't get all the passing work, then it's like, "Oh, it turns out they like Vidal who was
9:19actually pretty good as a pass blocker, like they trusted to do that last year, and he comes in and gets some of that
9:25third down long and distance long down and distance stuff, and then what is Keeton? Keeton is is purely just a breather back for Hampton, but then like
9:33also Vidal is there, so it really feel like he gets squeezed in multiple directions in different kinds of run outs. It's not just the hey in the
9:42ceiling outcome he gets squeezed because he doesn't subsume the entire workload.
9:47He's you know files coming in it's like nope and then in like the median outcomes he's also potentially getting squeezed and obviously the floor
9:54outcomes are pretty bad for Keaton Mitchell. It's like oh this guy gets two carries a game no no targets. That's not
10:01good.
10:03>> Yeah I think it'll be more than that but >> I just in the in the true floor outcomes where it's like hey Amari and Hampton is
10:10the literal he's one of the when we look back on the 2026 season Amari and Hampton is a season defining level
10:17bellcow where it's like wow I didn't know they gave running backs that much work anymore right? Cuz that's definitely a thing that can happen for a
10:24player with Amari and Hampton's profile like he very much could be a three down do it all never come off the field type
10:30of guy. I don't think that's ultra likely but it's a thing that can happen.
10:35>> possible.
10:36>> And I think that is obviously correlated with the floor outcomes for Keaton Mitchell and then it's like dang this guy's really just come he
10:45comes in when Amari and Hampton just ripped off a 60 yarder and and needs to you know suck some wind on the sideline
10:50for a player or two you know and that's then you're pretty upset that you drafted that in the 11th round.
10:57>> Yeah all right.
11:00We are a little close to each other in this which is annoying. I'm a I'm out of the 12.
11:04>> Inside track you love to see it.
11:06>> Yeah.
11:07You're you're out of the nine. I'm going to have the sidekick down here.
11:11I know you know anyway but >> [laughter] >> um So all right.
11:19This is about to kick off. Yeah I think that that was all that was all well said and then you know from a redraft
11:26perspective um I do think there's some bigger hits you know some specifically and and this is kind of funny, but like
11:36I think Chris Rodriguez has a cleaner path.
11:38>> was just about to say like the player that I want to click the least there like if you ask me in my heart of
11:43hearts, do you want to draft Keeton Mitchell or Chris Rodriguez? I'm like, God, Keeton Mitchell sounds so much more fun, but not at the same price and in
11:51redraft I'm it's so easy to just be like, oh, Chris Rodriguez is not happening, but when he does happen, you're really glad you've
11:58got him on your team in the 12th round, you know.
12:02>> Yeah. Yeah, I think Rodriguez is probably a better best ball pick because I think most of the time he's just, you know, he's like a
12:09committee back guy. He's probably, you know, a 1B runner.
12:14Um he might ultimately be kind of more of a backup as the season goes on and kind of a contingent hold if if Keeton
12:21does take over the backfield. So, you know, it can be like one of these things where like, well, yeah, that's not
12:25great but you know, it's not the worst way to spend uh an 11th, 12th round pick and, you know, there was upside for more if he if
12:34he kind of gets the 1A job. Uh but I do like he's cheap enough cuz you you you see him fall as well
12:43in the main event where sometimes you can get him in like the 12th round and I mean, it is pretty clean, you know,
12:50like Keeton fumbles and they're like, yeah, that he wasn't ready for prime time. We're going to even if there's like a few weeks where
12:57they're just like Chris Rodriguez is the dude. And you can project him to, you know, to have like 14 15 touches or something. Like that seems
13:06you can plug that in, you know.
13:08You can do stuff with that. So, there's and then obviously has all the contingent value. He's his contingent value is like
13:14pretty clean. He would obviously like when Allen would have his his work, but you know, and like it he has a path to
13:21being a starting running back without an injury outside of the top 10 rounds, which is pretty hard to find.
13:28Um so I I think Chris Rodriguez is a better pick and Mitchell has just flipped Rodriguez. Now they're back to back, but Mitchell is going ahead of
13:36him. And then Jaylen Coleman is another guy where it's like in redraft I like Coleman quite a bit more.
13:41I think he has a path to you know, I would take Mitchell over Coleman, but it's like there are other guys where
13:47you're like, I can see kind of the I can see Coleman being like a three-down type of guy. Like that's his
13:54that is his profile. Like he's a three-down kind of bruiser.
13:58Um it probably doesn't happen this year.
14:01It would take a Dobbins injury and then Harvey disappointing.
14:05But you know, a couple like I don't know, next year.
14:09By mid-season next year like he's he's just like established. I could see that.
14:12So there's other guys where I'm like it the upside like what am I dreaming on? You know, like the high high end stuff.
14:21It's easier for me to see it being like really high end on some of these guys.
14:26>> Well, and in that range of the draft like I'm I'm pretty into other positions. Like it's not I'm not compelled to take a running back there.
14:34You know, no one's twisting my arm and saying you have to draft running back right here right now in the 12th round.
14:40I like some of the quarterbacks that go there. I you know, I like the tight ends that go there. There are receivers that
14:46we like there.
14:48And I'm I'm often just I've got most of my running backs taken care of by that point in the draft often.
14:56>> Yeah, good point.
14:58All right, pretty pretty standard start for me. I'm going to go Cook, Barkley.
15:08Sacrilegious started with Justin Jefferson.
15:14Bowers went before you.
15:15>> Yeah, bummer. Was was hoping for Bowers.
15:18Um that's okay. We get a little Ken Walker here.
15:25>> Not a bad start.
15:30I'm very annoyed that you're just blocking any potential value.
15:34>> No, yeah. This is This is pretty ideal as far as >> I [laughter] hear about it. I was like, "No, no. This is good for me."
15:40>> Yeah, I really You know, I I pretty I do try to practice game selection in the 555.
15:46Like, I'm paying attention to who's sitting in the lobby and usually my my kind of like rule of thumb is if there's
15:52only one other sidekick user that I recognize in the lobby, I'm fine with that. There There's room for two of us
16:00to advance, you know? Um but if I see if I sit in a room and it's you and Shady and three other sidekick subs I
16:08recognize, I'm immediately unregistering. I don't need to do that.
16:11There's people that are giving their money away in different rooms that I will gladly go take. Now, sometimes there are enough punters all in one room
16:18where I'll I'll break that rule and be like, "Four sidekick subs, we can definitely all eat here." Like, there's >> My approach to this is so much more
16:24chaotic where I'm like, "I can do a 555 and if I doesn't start in the next 15 minutes, I can't do a 555. So, who's
16:31here? Let's Let's draft."
16:32>> [laughter] >> That's more how I will do like when I'm doing my big multi-table sessions. If I'm like, "It's time to knock out 30
16:40fast puppies in the next 90 minutes." I'm like, "We're just ripping them, you know?"
16:45>> Yeah. Yeah.
16:46Dude, if you were if you were hawking who I mean, I know you can't even do this, but if you were hawking who was in
16:51the fast puppy room, I'd be like, "Come on Sack.
16:53>> If I'm hawking King of the Desert $1 satellite, >> [laughter] >> I I seek help.
17:00>> Yeah, for real. Um this comment I thought was good.
17:05I appreciate the sidekick because I would have 40% of Keaton instead of 12% now. And I do I like I do think that is
17:12one of the advantages of Like, even if you're going to ignore us on Keaton, which I think is fine. Like, you're
17:19like, "Hey, I think Keaton is a much better bet than you guys do." At least, you know, there are guys that like
17:26really don't sim well that you can see like, "Hey, I'm I'm just not seeing this dude. They're clearly not simming well
17:32very often.
17:33And it it could be we don't like them a lot more than the market. I think in like a case like Keaton, it's more like
17:41as far as the best ball puzzle goes this year, building it through this player is probably not like the best way to attack
17:47it.
17:48Uh cuz I actually don't you know, we reviewed it a bunch today. I don't think we're like wildly off market with what
17:54we think Keaton will do.
17:56I think it's more like this type of player with all the other types of players where everyone else is going isn't
18:04such a great bet. But, you know, if you're like, "Yeah, but I bet you I would have a higher projection for
18:11for Keaton than you guys do and I'm going to IKB it up." Totally totally fair. But, maybe we help get you to land somewhere a little
18:19bit uh more prudent than what you might find on your own.
18:25Yeah, you're definitely allowed >> You're definitely allowed to IKB. No no one says you have to just like top guy.
18:31I mean, that's what I'm doing and and that's what Shady's doing, but you know, we we also know what all the
18:38inputs are. So, I get that it's a lot easier for me to be like, "Well, I trust our inputs because I help make
18:45the inputs.
18:46>> [laughter] >> I'm just going to click top guy."
18:49Uh and here I was waiting for the sidekick to update. Tee Higgins flips Javonte for me.
18:56I I do like that. I enjoy some end of third round Tee Higgins.
19:08>> So, you're Jefferson, Walker, Higgins.
19:11You've got Jeanty, Bowers, Garrett Wilson. I was hoping he'd get back to me.
19:17Olave is currently top guy for me, but this guy's got Hampton, so I could see him getting sniped. He doesn't, so Olave
19:24is going to be my wide receiver one.
19:29And then I'm getting a bunch of these running backs that will probably stay top. Yeah, Javonte.
19:38I don't like the Javonte stuff as as much as the rest of the crew, but uh I suppose I shall take him.
19:49Tua is the guy I I would if I was going to I QB to someone, it would be McMillan.
19:55>> That's what I thought you might do. If I was, you know, the >> that is he he goes he goes so late
20:02sometimes.
20:03>> I I got him in a 555 at the 4-5 turn.
20:07>> Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, so um it just makes it a little bit >> I do I do like
20:15>> I have him as well.
20:16>> I'll I'll go ahead and just take Josh Jacobs all the time that you're going to give him to me in the
20:21fourth round, so >> Yeah, I'm happy to get Metchie there.
20:30That sets me up reasonably well.
20:34Uh you know, potential stack.
20:36And then we'll see how the 5-6 turn shakes out.
20:41Sometimes on DraftKings you get a running back back there.
20:44Uh >> I got uh I >> Yeah, Metchie's at the 5-6 turn now.
20:49>> him at pick 69 today, which is pretty good. I was pretty happy about that.
20:54>> Yeah, that seems pretty good to me.
20:57Um Yeah, so Tuton Henderson Henderson does sometimes fall there, or they're probably not with you here.
21:03Um I assume well, we don't love Henderson, but I late fifth I generally do see him at the top.
21:11Price might be a decent enough pick for me here. 5-6 turn at wide receiver looking at potentially Roman Wilson, Cornell Tape, Brian Thomas.
21:22Parker Washington's actually another guy I wanted to talk about where we have a pretty big stand uh off from the market.
21:30Um I maybe Gretch needs to write an article about Parker Washington if he feels strong about him because I found that
21:37uh helpful in kind of testing what what our assumptions were, but right now I'm like maybe I talked to Matt Harmon yesterday on ADP chasing
21:46about Parker Washington and he was like, "Yeah, he's he's a good player."
21:50He didn't seem as enthused as the market generally does and it's like it's a crowd it's really crowded in Washington uh is often like the first one off.
21:59We'll see if he goes off or or Thomas in this draft, but it's a lot it's a lot to pay when
22:07we know that all four of these guys are going to play to some extent.
22:13>> Yeah, I'm just not super into the Parker Washington stuff. I really like him as a player. Like I was >> You were actually were the guy
22:20>> Last year I was >> Yeah, and last year I was into him even in season long stuff. Like I was trying
22:27to get us to have him pop up as a last round dart throw. Like I I liked Parker Washington the player. I think the price
22:35is not thinking through the way that the offense works in a lot of different outcomes. I think it's really index to
22:44but what if it just goes the same way that it went last season? Wouldn't that be neat-o? And it's like not even last
22:50season just like for a stretch of last season. The last couple weeks of last season. It's like you're right, that would be really neat-o. I I hope that
22:57happens for you.
22:58Um I don't think it will though and that's I just I think that so much of player prices where we disagree is just
23:06being really indexed to one outcome.
23:09Like, well, there's only one way this could go.
23:12>> think that's a good point.
23:15>> And there was only one way that this pick was going to go, and that was going to be Bucky Irving.
23:23>> So, I got Rome, Cornell Tate, potentially Tyler Warren, and then Oh.
23:28Oh, Drake May. Look at that.
23:32Probably won't take Drake May here. I think getting one of these wide receivers is going to be my first priority. I am actually intrigued by
23:38Tyler Warren. I don't have a ton of exposure to uh generally.
23:42>> started popping up.
23:44>> He's popping up a little more. It's weird. It's like I cuz we we haven't really changed anything on him. I think
23:48there he goes. So, I'm probably just grabbing both these receivers.
23:52Uh I'll be curious to see if May jumps to the top once I take one of these guys.
23:57Kind of think not, but Oh, and then here's Christian Watson.
24:01>> Yeah, I would I would guess that you end up with one of Adonai or Watson as your next guy.
24:07>> I think I'm probably going to take Watson.
24:10Uh I get more Adonai as the the sixth-round faller.
24:15>> Yeah, Watson doesn't fall as much here.
24:17>> doesn't seem to fall as much, so I'm I'm kind of attracted to that.
24:23Uh Oh, Watson fell way down.
24:29>> Oh.
24:31>> Mhm.
24:33Nah.
24:35>> [laughter] >> The Sims really thought about that one, too. They were really hemming and hawing.
24:42>> They really thought, yeah.
24:44Think again. Think again. How about that? Um Yeah, Watson just I have not seen him as often there. I get a good amount of
24:53Adonai. I'm doing I'm in like 400 I was at I got up to 500 slows.
24:59And uh I'm I'm not really entering as much right now cuz I want to get that number. 500 it started to feel almost
25:05oppressive.
25:07So, I want to get that down like 400. I think I can like work finding that sweet spot. 400 honestly feels fine and I
25:13don't mind it. Um but I've had a good amount of this like you know, a lot of the five-six turn lately. Just the way these things have
25:23fallen.
25:24And I'm seeing Rome fall there a decent amount, not so much Washington so.
25:31>> Yeah, I think getting Rome here where Omar got him in this room is pretty awesome. Like I'm I'm not the biggest
25:37Rome bull. In fact, I you know, many have described me as the leader of the Roma Dunzo hater club, but I don't know, man. At at 6-6 I'm I'm
25:47pretty happy to take him there. I think that's a very reasonable price.
25:51Um >> Yeah, for sure.
25:54So, Thomas went off at the 500 at the 510 here and Washington at pick 69.
26:01Uh there are some Washington guys, you know, in the in the chat here. Will Route FF says P. Washington is a great
26:08ninth round pick. So, he's a big Washington guy.
26:12Um you know, so it it is about the price, I think.
26:19But, the price feels like really off.
26:21It's about the price, but also I [snorts] just think it's also fair to say we we just don't like Parker Washington very much. Like you can you
26:28can always kind of say it's about the price.
26:30Cuz if he was free, I would take him.
26:33But, I don't think we like they get I think maybe actually I I haven't gone and looked at like projections and
26:39stuff.
26:40>> I think it's probably like eighth round-ish is where we think is >> more like eighth round fair value, yeah.
26:46>> Yeah.
26:47Cuz we don't we don't super love Bryan Thomas. sure >> would jam him there, though.
26:51>> No, no, no. I think he starts showing up there, but it's not a jam.
26:56Um Like if he was if he went where Jacobi went, we we'd like him a lot, you know?
27:01Cuz we we get a lot of Jacobi Myers. Um >> We get I'm about even with the field on Jacobi.
27:07>> Okay, I think I'm closer to like 18%, but that that may be a top top guy versus IKE.
27:14So I got it.
27:16>> Okay. I don't have IKE off Myers that much. Okay. Certainly not like half the time.
27:21>> Yeah, it it also very much can just be a product of when we were drafting and like if you did all slows and I did all
27:28fast, like that can be pretty different.
27:31Um just the timing of which you get to the point in the slows where Jacobi is going and how the current market
27:37sentiment is. Like that's the other thing that is really interesting to watch. Like if you take two people who are both drafting off the sidekick,
27:46you can get a decent amount of variation in the exposure.
27:49>> that's sort of part of the idea, you know?
27:52You're getting >> Speaking of different exposures, this is a guy I like never see, but I'll I have $8 of Chris Godwin. And so now I have
28:01$563 of Chris Godwin.
28:07>> I pulled up the sidekick, but then I got nervous about what it said, so I put it away. You can wait until my pick
28:13sidekick.
28:15Uh So your team right now, Kenneth Walker, Tee Higgins, Josh Jacobs, Bucky Irving, Joe Burrow, and Chris Godwin.
28:24And my team, and what I was nervous about, of course, was that I wouldn't get Justin Herbert with Ladd McConkey, which is very fun.
28:31But I do. That's nice. And then I'm looking probably at a fourth running back here. Looks like Dowdle, Manongai, one of those guys probably
28:40jumps to the top. Yeah, Dowdle.
28:42I'm good with that.
28:43Jad- I might go to Jayden Reed. I'm going to go to Jaden Reed. You I know if you had your way
28:50Jaden Reed would have been over Herbert.
28:52>> Yeah. Yeah, Jaden Reed definitely one of my my pet favorites.
28:57Perpetually pounding the table for Jaden Reed.
29:00I really wish that I mean maybe the Packers just make me really happy this year and finally deploy him in the way
29:07that I I think he should be deployed, but Jaden Reed is one where I'm just every year feeling like I'm screaming
29:13free Jaden Reed.
29:15Put him Put him on a team that knows what to do with him.
29:19>> So you've got three wide receivers, three running backs, quarterback.
29:25Alec Pierce is top of the sidekick for me. Kyle Pitts.
29:28>> Alec Pierce is second guy for me, but do you Do you want to guess who the top guy is?
29:34>> I'm going to guess Pitts.
29:38>> It is none other than Patrick >> Mahomes. Yeah, I should have guessed Mahomes the way you were your tone kind
29:43of gave that away.
29:44>> [laughter] >> Oh, the Walker. That's what I I missed that you Yeah, yeah. Of course, of course.
29:52These names are not in my brain, but they really should have been cuz I've got Mahomes as my highest owned player
29:56right now.
29:57>> We have been getting him less lately though, so I like I do feel less conditioned to always assuming it's Mahomes at the top now.
30:05>> Yeah, we are getting him a little less.
30:07He's risen a bit.
30:08>> Right.
30:09>> be so cheap.
30:11>> Like I was getting him in the hundreds often.
30:13>> Yeah.
30:14>> Yeah. And that was That's kind of where you'd end up with 40% Patrick Mahomes when he just keeps going in the mid
30:20ninth.
30:21>> Mahomes plus Eric Bieniemy minus Matt Nagy equals profit.
30:27There's no question mark in that one.
30:28This is not the underpants gnomes. We know exactly what's happening.
30:32>> [laughter] >> Man, imagine Reed on the 49ers. That it fun.
30:40>> That'd be crazy. Yeah, that'd be an incredible fit.
30:49>> Uh have any of these guys who've been bad in fantasy football but good in real football advanced metrics i.e. Jaden
30:54Reed, Josh Downs have turned it around and become good at the metrics and fantasy?
30:58I guess I push back these guys are like bad.
31:00>> Yeah, I think Jaden Reed like literally won BBM and had a pretty great rookie season and also Josh Downs had a stretch
31:07that was like better than any stretch Parker Washington could ever conceive of by like a wide margin.
31:13>> true. So it's like that's true 2 years ago yeah.
31:15>> Yeah, hey, we should draft Parker Washington at the sixth, but you know, this Josh Downs guy who literally dusted his best ever run, you know, can't do
31:23that guy earlier. That's stupid.
31:25It's like I I I think that we are prisoners of the moment and we really index the last thing that we just saw,
31:31whatever the shiniest most recent thing was, that is what's in our brains and yeah, like Jaden Reed and Josh Downs both have been very good for fantasy to
31:40the point where like they were league winners in their respective years.
31:44>> [snorts] >> Yeah.
31:47Yeah, I think the Downs case is a little easier in some ways, although you could argue it's less likely to happen, which
31:56it which would be he just plays a lot more outside this year.
32:00And he's a good player. Um and then the the Reed case I think is
32:11not as clean, but it's more like Golden is just not it and over the course of the season, you know, on somewhat limited route
32:18participation, he's able to really uh just have a very high targets per hour on.
32:25And it's kind of him, Watson, and Kmet is when he gets healthy, but but it's an offense that scores a lot of
32:30points.
32:31Um and we haven't seen guy like Tyler Lockett would be a guy who I, you know, is very like some of these slots who
32:38Doug Baldwin, you know, certainly had some real fantasy relevance.
32:41>> Diggs is literally Steph Diggs, Zay Flowers are both like pretty good >> was never not playing a lot though.
32:46That's where the the Diggs comp doesn't really work for me because he never had like Downs and Downs and Reed has been
32:53have been uh route participation is is like a key issue for them.
32:58>> Um yeah, god damn it.
33:01You only took Kyler Fann cuz you saw the sidekick on my screen.
33:04>> No, he was very much talked about.
33:05>> No, you wouldn't No, you wouldn't take him.
33:10Um all right. I got Jordan Addison at the top here, which is kind of fun. I don't get a lot of Addison. Actually, I'm at
33:189% of DraftKings, so I guess I'm I'm at even with the field, but I I don't have much on Underdog and
33:24down to take a little more here and then I think oh, Kyler Murray. Look at that.
33:30Little stack.
33:32>> Yeah, you steal my stack with Justin Jefferson by getting Jordan Addison here, but I I did have Burrow and Mahomes already, so probably not going
33:40to get Murray as a third quarterback here.
33:44>> Yeah, and then Love popped to the top, so I I got the double stack with with Love and and did a little Addison-Murray
33:50instead.
33:51Um Love certainly in the mix there, too.
33:56>> Oh, get sniped on top guy Jakobi Meyers.
33:59That would have been great for the Jakobi Meyers-Parker Washington bit we had going earlier.
34:04But that's fine. I'll take uh you know, sidekick hero from last season, Wan'Dale Robinson. Uh he was part of the Infinity Stones that we were
34:13collecting of very, very late wide receivers.
34:19>> Wait, who is?
34:20>> Wan'Dale. Last year was Wan'Dale, Jayden Reed, uh Pop Douglas >> Pop Douglas, yeah.
34:27>> more one more that was actually a hit. I I Pop Douglas >> We didn't take so much Dotson. He was He
34:33was >> Oh, no, we did have it. We had a ton of Dobbs.
34:36>> Really? I Maybe I was like being off of it cuz I didn't have quite as much.
34:39>> Yeah, I think that I think that was it.
34:41It was those those four were the four horsemen.
34:43>> We got less Dobbs as time went on, though.
34:46>> Yes. Yeah, he >> Cuz I think he moved up in ADP.
34:48>> move up. Other people We were not the only people into Dobbs, so he he did move up.
34:52>> He moved up quite a bit. Yeah, that that's that's that's why I'm remembering it that way, yeah.
34:58>> But yeah, we had an absolute bag of >> Londale we had just full.
35:02Londale was just available whenever.
35:05Pop at least had a couple spikes. Yeah, Pop was a bummer of those guys. I mean >> He was a bust.
35:10>> By and large, like that was like we're like, "Hey, we have like we we have wide receiver threes at home." was kind of the vibe. And we did.
35:19One of them >> [laughter] >> And that's Hey, that's >> ran away.
35:24>> You know what? Three out of four ain't bad. For for those prices, you're like, "I'll I'll take that all day."
35:30>> I'll take three out of four. Yeah, I'll take three out of four down there.
35:32>> As some of the biggest Pop defenders uh that you'll come across.
35:36>> give it Who So this year the three out of four would be It'd be Amari Cooper, Travis Hunter.
35:41>> Amari Cooper, Travis Hunter, uh >> Deebo Samuel.
35:44>> Deebo Samuel, for sure.
35:46>> Uh >> Let's see.
35:49>> someone It should be someone a little earlier cuz I mean you could get into the late Even Deebo goes so late now.
35:56Uh >> Oh, Jeremy Jeremy Bernard, maybe?
36:02>> Yeah, I was going to throw up Bernard, but he's so late. He's in He's in 190s.
36:05I think it's That's not really the the range.
36:09It's more like Trey Tucker we used to take a lot of him. He was cheap. He We don't get quite as much of him now.
36:13>> Yeah, Strip Stribling, but again, he's pretty late. Um >> Yeah, it's probably Jennings.
36:23>> Yeah, I'm trying to find an earlier guy.
36:25All these other ones are late, like Jeremy, Calvin Ridley, Pat Bryant.
36:31Dontayvion Wicks. Yeah.
36:34>> Wicks moved up. We used to take a lot of AT Perry Mitchell, he moved up.
36:37>> Yeah.
36:38>> That's one of those things with the >> I'm bummed out that AT Perry Mitchell moved up so much, man. I liked taking
36:43him.
36:45>> It is as I've drafted more and more, and then you draft to the sidekick and it's like, you know, you're kind of sometimes
36:51you're like, "Uh, is this right?
36:54Should I really be slamming AT Perry Mitchell and Dontayvion Wicks in the last round every time?"
36:58And then they're not there anymore.
37:01And you're like, "Ah, why didn't I just slam the you know, like the the prices do change, and sometimes you you end up Now, sometimes you just
37:11get a guy like all summer as much as you want. Khalil Shakir is actually one of those guys, where it's like, dude, and
37:16Khalil Shakir was second for me here.
37:19I I went and like was just digging around on Khalil Shakir yesterday, like, are we Have we lost our minds? Like, who's lost their minds?
37:27Because Khalil Shakir is available for free. He's actually of the guys we're talking about, >> There you go. Talked about him.
37:33Well, here's the here's the thing.
37:35Like, 3 years ago, I was like really pounding the table that I wanted the Bills to use more Khalil Shakir, and I
37:41thought Khalil Shakir was good, and like he was being deployed in too limited a way.
37:47And then it almost seemed like >> one of these other quarterbacks coming.
37:51>> seemed like maybe now we'll finally get Khalil Shakir to finally get some more work. He's like clearly their best receiver, and then they go and spend a
37:59king's ransom to acquire, you know, the Allen Robinson, the five DJ Moore. It's like, oh good.
38:08I do think Khalil Shakir is good at football, though. Like in the in the same vein as Parker Washington, where maybe Parker is like a Khalil Shakir
38:16plus, but I think they're both good football players.
38:21>> Ooh, here's one I >> have very little of, $50 of this player, now $605 of this player.
38:28>> [laughter] >> I have been getting Coker more recently, actually.
38:33Um I didn't see Mitchell. I didn't really need the running back. I guess I could have. I only have three, so.
38:43Our Mitchell change did not make a huge impact, I would say say cuz you didn't Did you see him?
38:49In the psychic when you did the Coker?
38:51>> Keaton there.
38:53Yeah. I could have scrolled down, but he he was not there at the top for me.
38:59>> We both have three running backs, so yeah, we're still probably not going to be We're not going to be jamming
39:03Mitchell, but you know.
39:05We're >> Now, what's going to be interesting is we're trying to see you and I both probably want a running back or two here
39:13at the end of the draft to kind of shore up our our depth a little bit, and I I think we may be in a battle
39:19to grab some of our favorite late round guys. I've been getting some more of the like somewhat ambiguous, not not confident enough really to jam a ton of
39:29them yet type of guys lately. So >> a few of those guys more. Yeah.
39:34>> It's more on like when I get the zero >> Blue today.
39:37>> Oh, I I've gotten him some. I haven't seen him in the last couple days.
39:41>> He's risen. So like we were like, all right, we're ready to start taking Jaylen Blue, and the market was like, we
39:46are too. Three rounds earlier than before.
39:49>> [laughter] >> Yeah.
39:50I get them more on like the zero RB builds where I get a bunch of those guys. Like I got a Braelon Allen team
39:56today, which I I don't see a ton of him, but I ended up I think I had like five receivers and a tight end and a
40:03quarterback for my first seven picks.
40:06And so I ended up with uh very classic zero RB looking build.
40:13>> Uh have you been getting cocked up more recently by taking Jaylen Coker?
40:17>> Cannot say that I have but you know what there's a first time for everything and so this this 555 draft is a good time for
40:24it.
40:25I saw Blue fell past ADP today on a in a slow draft and I I was like I needed a running back. I think it was
40:33recommending Marshaun Lloyd.
40:36Like over Blue and I was like something like that. Something where I was like really?
40:42And I was like I'm going to take Blue and then I was like Let me just look who's on this team real
40:47quick >> [laughter] >> and then sure enough Javonte was there.
40:50I was like yeah that's probably bad. So I I went [laughter] I went with the sidekick suggestion whoever it was.
40:59Yeah I I'd finished one main event so far and then like I don't know round 18 or 19 or something. I was like I should
41:08just throw a dart at whoever the Cowboys backup running back is going to who who's the person where if something bad
41:16happens to Javonte here before the season before first waiver run cuz I'm cutting this guy most likely you know but who's the guy that shoots up a bunch
41:24of rounds and when I was drafting that main they had just come out with the piece or like Malik Davis is getting all the run with
41:31the ones and Jaden Blue and Phil Mofor doing battle to see who's who's going to be the next guy out. I was like
41:38Malik Davis it is baby it's gross >> [laughter] >> and now I'm like damn I wish that had been Jaden Blue. I should have just
41:44listened to the slappy heart in me but I I over did it.
41:49>> be very very funny if Blue was a massive hit this year after after being a bust.
41:54>> It would be a good bet. Yeah.
41:58>> I've been working on this article for forever but one of the the interesting things about it is that Blue is the only
42:06uh guy to be only round five plus pick in BBM history uh to be 100% drafted.
42:16>> [laughter] >> That's That is like it it says so much about where we are at as a fantasy community as a best ball
42:24community. That's just like in a microcosm.
42:27>> [laughter] >> All right, you went Allgeier.
42:33>> I'm worried that you're going to take the next guy that I'm hoping gets back to me here.
42:38>> Well, I I'm pretty sure that if these two players are available, they will be my picks.
42:45Uh Cam Ward does go, which is annoying, cuz I play I was like, I'm going to take Goedert and play for one of these
42:50quarterbacks to come back cuz I did have the stack with Ward.
42:55Um >> Yeah, I was I was hoping I could get Allgeier and Sampson. Um >> No, that was always dead.
43:03>> Yeah.
43:04>> And then yeah, Hunter Henry I think is a good addition here. I could go Hock the stack, but I I'd rather just take
43:11Henry. I'm a little bit worried about Hock.
43:14I'd rather just do the the single stack if it comes to that.
43:18>> It's fun to be able to see two sidekicks simultaneously with like relatively similar builds, because Henry was lower for me.
43:28And then I looked and he's got a bye overlap with Fant. So, it's like >> Oh, there you go.
43:33>> might want to get a a tight end that can cover your bye here.
43:37So, I get uh >> with Shady the other day, we were just like absolutely it was like it was like bumper cars. Like we were
43:45just [laughter] like he would take Rodgers, then I would take like Freiermuth and Bernard. You know, he's like we're just like literally sniping.
43:51We would go back stack quarterback, and then we're like, "And I'm picking off all the guys you want." It was really
43:57frustrating.
43:58>> saw that uh you sniped him on both of his Denver guys on Franklin.
44:02>> That's what it was. Yeah, it was Yeah, it was uh it was Rodgers and the Steelers guys and then I took
44:09I took Pat Bryant.
44:11And then or I took Troy Franklin and then he didn't take Pat Bryant. And I was like, you know it's going to be Pat
44:17Bryant.
44:18And I'm doing Top Guy Tuesday, so like, you know, I'm taking the top recommendation. That's the that's the you know, idea of the show. Shady didn't
44:27have to. You know, we're not seeing frankly what Shady Sims are. Like Shady could have played me, but he dutifully took the top suggestion.
44:37>> Yeah, every once in a while on a 555 all I K B on something where I'm like trying to play the room. But like here
44:45uh, you're you're in the spot where I'd be like most trying to play the room and I like kind of know what I think you're
44:52going to do.
44:53>> So even with my sidekick in.
44:55>> Yeah, like not really I K B in here because it just like, yep, that's that's what Pat's going to take. And like I
45:05I don't even I Yeah, there was no way I was going to be able to get both Algier and Sampson through you, you know, there
45:11just wasn't really a choice there that gets me the thing that I think the sidekick wanted. So >> Yeah, yeah, yeah.
45:19Sampson I I've been getting a little bit more excited about. Just wrote him up yesterday and he's his pass catching is
45:29kind of exciting. Like I I think he's you know, I you know, I compare him to Michel a little bit. Like he's a second-year guy.
45:37He was a pretty good prospect. He has not great draft capital, but not terrible draft capital.
45:43Um and was able to earn playing time as a rookie as a pass catcher.
45:50Really doesn't have much competition now to be kind of the you know, the clear secondary back. He was a good runner in
45:56college. I think he has like very, very clean contingent value. He's an undersized guy in the sense he's around 200 pounds, but he's not
46:03179 pounds like like he makes a difference in the league.
46:07>> kind of player.
46:08>> Yeah, he's a kind of yeah, he's a do-it-all player. So, there's like really clean upside for him to take over the full
46:15role.
46:16And you know, maybe he wouldn't be an every-down, you know, every-touch workhorse type of guy. He is undersized, but you know, he would get a lot of
46:23high-value touches, I think if uh Chubb were to go down relative to the strength of the Browns offense, of course. I mean, you do you do have that
46:32to factor in. It is the Browns, but uh you know, a guy that I I am It's like 12 when you know, pick 135
46:43versus 156. A decent amount of things have happened in between those two picks.
46:48Uh and the the Samson price is just a lot more comfy to me.
46:52>> Yeah, I know. I I think he's a good click. Um you know, if I wanted to be derogatory about his profile, I'd I would call him
46:59a he's a jack of some trades, you know.
47:01Um But I I I >> I think he's a jack of most trades.
47:05>> Yeah, jack of most trades.
47:08Yeah.
47:09>> What trades does he not jack?
47:11>> Yeah.
47:12Jack of not most trades complimentary, you know.
47:16>> Yeah.
47:17So, Deshawn Skribbling Let's go. Skribbling about Skribbling.
47:21>> Yeah, I I was pretty sure he was not making it back to me, but I've still got a shot to get the other guy that I
47:29am really hoping makes it back.
47:33But just in case Giants and Dwarfs is watching, there we go. Jeremy Bernard makes >> Jeremy Bernard, yeah.
47:39I think he's good.
47:40>> uh the week 17 bring back here.
47:44Definitely into that one.
47:48>> Jordan Love like almost kind of sort of got back to me, which would have been fun as the QB3 there.
47:56>> Let's see. Where did Love go off?
48:01Okay, yeah, middle of the 11th.
48:04Yeah, uh can anyone explain to me why Jordan Love is going after Malik Willis?
48:09And Tyler Shuck?
48:12>> No.
48:13>> [laughter] >> That's not going to be me, guy.
48:19Um Yeah. Jack of all trades, master of none.
48:27Uh but oftentimes better than a master of one.
48:33Yeah, maybe. Anyone in the top five rounds that you have less than 1% of outside of Josh Allen?
48:41>> Let's see.
48:41>> DJ Moore.
48:42>> Yeah, top five rounds. There's some guys in the in the fifth where we've got fades on them. DJ Moore is for sure one.
48:51I think we have more than 1% Terry McLaurin, but we're low on McLaurin.
48:56>> No, we definitely have more than one, though.
48:58>> Yeah.
48:59I think it's like three if I >> Pretty low on Olave now. Olave's >> Yeah.
49:04>> Just we're not we're not getting Olave recently cuz Flower we like Flower we like Flowers and he's moved up. The
49:09market has preferred Flower. Olave used to be in a range where it's like if you if you're going to go receiver, we don't
49:15like Olave here, but if you want any Olave, you take Olave. And now it's like, well, if you want Flowers, you got
49:19to take Flowers.
49:21And we like Flowers better.
49:23>> Egbuka is another one where >> Egbuka yeah, we don't get.
49:27>> We don't have much neighbors yet. I think I'm going to >> up on Egbuka a little recently, so hopefully he's like a little
49:34exposure blanket.
49:35>> I I think I think the Egbuka inputs are like about as rose-colored glasses as it can get.
49:42>> I mean, I know. [laughter] >> I I do I know that we you know, sometimes when we have a player like that, we're really fading
49:50him or we're really hammering him.
49:52Sometimes if if there are some of the inputs where it's like, "Ah, this is it's kind of like tiebreaker. We could
49:58go this way, we could go that way."
49:59Sometimes we will bend it to, you know, be a little closer to the market on a a thing like that.
50:05>> Yeah.
50:06>> Just like, "Hey, let's have a little humility, pretend we are not the, you know, the owners of all that is truth, and, you know,
50:14assume that the market knows a little bit." And when we do that and then still don't get any of the player, I'm like,
50:20"All right, cool."
50:20>> You feel so happy. Yeah, I know. Every time you're like, "See?"
50:24>> [laughter] >> That's a stupid ass pick.
50:26>> Yeah.
50:27Yeah.
50:33>> All right. Well, I uh man.
50:37I'm going to do this one, but it makes me a little sad because I think it's it's going to preclude me from
50:42>> That was the See, you really are just top guy mogging me right now.
50:47>> Well, I'm I'm sad because I think this one's going to stop me from getting Charlie Kolar later.
50:52>> Oh.
50:52Let me tell you, Zach. You're not getting Charlie Kolar. You sniped me this whole time.
50:58There's a 100% chance that my next pick is Charlie Kolar. It [laughter] does not matter where he is in the sidekick 480p.
51:06I've been sitting here watching you scoot value, play me at the turn. I'm taking Charlie Kolar in the 17th.
51:13>> Oh, so sad.
51:14>> I want to know what the Sims say with Kolar on the team for my next pick.
51:18O'Keenan Allen, what if he resigns with the Chargers? Let's go.
51:21>> Oh, man. That's a dagger to the heart.
51:23You know what? I'm glad you took Kolar cuz it gives us the chance to talk about him. It's going to be so funny when
51:30Charlie Kolar does exactly what we thought was the most likely outcome. And we're like, "We are so well calibrated."
51:38>> [laughter] >> And Evan's like, "Why were you idiots having us draft Charlie Kolar?" Like, "Cuz that was good. That That was worth
51:44it."
51:45>> [laughter] >> It's going to be the most disappointing thing from a like just raw counting stats like, "Wait, you mean to tell me
51:5335 receptions for 400 yards and four touchdowns was good?" Oh, yeah. We are all about that.
52:01>> [laughter] >> Yeah.
52:04>> I I can see it now. The The people will be calling him Charlie Lawler.
52:10>> Uh well, we we got the Kolar Express.
52:14The Kolar vortex. That That That's the other good one we got on chat yesterday.
52:20>> Yeah, Kolar vortex is good.
52:23>> The Kolar vortex feels very week 17 coded to me, you know, like >> I really did it. I thought it was a
52:29joke. It's not a joke.
52:31I have Herbert.
52:32>> [laughter] >> It's correlated. It's a stack.
52:39Yeah, I mean, I think he's it seems pretty clear that he's the starting tight end as far as, you know, the Y inline tight end goes.
52:47Um You're probably playing for like a Colby Parkinson style hit, but you might get it like he's Parkinson and kind of
52:56Higbee before that.
52:57You know, you're like it's not the most exciting thing in the world but you know, he he's out there for 60-ish
53:08percent of routes.
53:10>> Yeah, you're looking for looking for something like 200 to 600 receiving yards.
53:16>> [laughter] >> Somewhere in that ballpark. Uh >> Just Just Just touchdowns in the right week baby.
53:22>> Yeah.
53:29>> Charlie Kolar wants to be Will Dissly when he grows up. I honestly think that the the Chargers are kind of thinking
53:33like he is the >> Yeah, I think that.
53:36>> Hopefully Dissly with a little more receiving juice.
53:38>> Yep. I think that is very much what they think. Um and now it's just we wait and see.
53:44>> [laughter] >> Parkinson was at the golf outing. That is bullish.
53:48>> Yeah.
53:49>> Does Davis know about this? Someone tell Davis that Parkinson was at the golf outing. He's on vacation and may not may
53:54not realize.
53:54>> Well, and Ferguson was not at the golf outing correct?
53:59>> No, I think the wide receivers did their own thing. He was >> [laughter] >> Well, no, Devonte was there.
54:04>> I'm kidding. I I don't know who was actually there. I'm just messing around.
54:08>> Well, the the practice squad guys were in a different foursome.
54:10>> Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
54:14Dissly had fantasy football on Joe Cole.
54:16Dissly was a good pick.
54:17>> He was really >> 2 years ago. Was it 2023? I think it was 2023.
54:21>> I think so. It was the it was him and Hayden Hurst were were the tight ends that year.
54:27>> Yeah.
54:31>> I had a a buddy in my home league who was like really really Will Dis- like liked Will Dissly almost as much as I liked Charlie Kolar.
54:40>> [laughter] >> It was weird.
54:42>> To the point where he would start It's just a it's a 10-man league, so it's like you did not have there at no point
54:48was anyone making you start Will Dissly, you know, like there were many many better options. But he was starting Will Dissly in the weeks where Will Dissly
54:56was like I think it was like a 4-week stretch where Will Dissly was basically like 15-plus points every week and it
55:01was [laughter] just so insane for there to be like, "Oh, yeah, Kyle Pitts is on waivers. I'm going to start Will Dissly though."
55:09>> [laughter] >> He's just smashing every week. It's That's That's one of the best things about fantasy football. Those those memories are just so fun.
55:19>> Yeah.
55:22It's going to be fun It's going to be a we're going to have jokes about however this plays out.
55:27>> Yeah, it it it will be funny. I I will be laughing at us or laughing to the bank.
55:32>> it's going to be funny.
55:36I thought I might get Penix as my third quarterback here, but uh I I may just end with two with Burrow and Mahomes.
55:45>> I assume I'm ending with two.
55:47>> Oh, I get the >> Darnell, another another snipe. This is why I'm glad I sniped you on Kolar.
55:53>> Just have all the Steelers pass-catchers here.
55:55>> of it.
55:56Sick of it.
55:59>> Ooh, I have some very fun top guys in the last round, and I will not be able to be sniped on all of them.
56:10That's a less fun click that went immediately after me.
56:14>> You have Brian Robinson, are you I mean, kudos to Giants and Dwarfs for you know, keeping the faith.
56:20>> Godspeed, Spider-Man.
56:22>> Jacoby Lane.
56:24That sounds good. I actually have a ton of Lane specifically in 555.
56:29>> Lane was my top guy with the week 17 bring back. I was pretty excited for that one, but >> I'm going to go Bateman
56:36and just >> He's in here for me. I thought he might be another top guy for me if the other guys got sniped, but
56:45>> I'm just going to take multiple stabs at that Raven's spot.
56:49>> Seems reasonable.
56:51Okay. Well, I I do have a kind of fun top guy here.
56:59>> [snorts] >> Little Kavontae Turpin in my life.
57:03>> He was Yeah, he was close to the top for me too.
57:07>> The The other guy right behind him was Caleb Douglas. So, either of those would have been interesting.
57:14Um >> Douglas is starting to pop up a little.
57:16He was not too far down for me.
57:18Vele does go. Vele is probably the wide receiver He could be the wide receiver two in New Orleans to start. He's He's
57:23kind of Dante Pettis and Wicks adjacent.
57:26Um I like Wicks better, but cuz he's got I think Tyson But I was going to say Tyson is the ground running
57:33more more often. But like he does have this hamstring thing. So >> Is it Is it Valdes just Isaac Teasdale except he goes in the 20th, you know?
57:43>> [laughter] >> I kind of think he he's live to I think it's like isn't that even money? Like Valdes versus Teasdale who scores more
57:52fantasy points this season?
57:54>> It might be.
57:55>> I'm pretty sure it is.
57:58>> Let me look up what Fantasy Life has for them.
57:59>> Oh yeah, I'll you do that. I'll pull up what we've got in the Sims as uh It's like their median outcome.
58:09I'm pretty sure I'm bang on here.
58:13>> [laughter] >> Let's see Valdes.
58:19We've got them We have them within one touchdown of each other in the median.
58:25>> Okay. Yeah, Teasdale's 76.5 points over Fantasy Life.
58:31And Valdes I don't see in their projections actually.
58:36They don't have them projected. It is a little disrespectful I have to say.
58:43Slightly disrespectful.
58:46Am I spelling his name right now?
58:49No, no. My bad.
58:51Yeah, so they have him at 76.5 versus 65.2.
58:55>> So Valdes clears.
58:57>> [laughter] >> No, no. I Teasdale's 76.5 and Valdes >> higher one.
59:03>> Teasdale's the higher one, but yeah, by about 10 points.
59:06>> Okay, yeah. We have it We have it a little closer, but pretty similar.
59:09>> Yeah.
59:11Yeah.
59:12Um All right. Oops, I did leave for some reason. That's not what I meant to do.
59:20Uh let's go back and take a look at it.
59:28My daughter is washing her hands and it's not going ideal, I guess. Um all right.
59:37You want to recap your team?
59:40>> Sure, let's do it. I I thought that uh Vivi had just found out that someone drafted Brandon Aiyuk and she was sad
59:45for them.
59:46>> Um she's very empathetic that way.
59:49>> So, I start with Justin Jefferson. I guess I'll I'll go uh Should I go position by position?
59:56Yeah, we'll we'll do position by position. So, wide receiver is Justin Jefferson, Tee Higgins, Chris Godwin, Wan'Dale Robinson, Khalil Shakir, Jaylen
60:05Coker, Jeremy Bernard, Pat Bryant, and finish off with Kavontae Turpin. At running back, I've got Ken Walker, Josh Jacobs,
60:15Bucky Irving, Tyler Allgeier to finish off my hyper-fragile four running back room. Uh only two quarterbacks here, but they're Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes,
60:25both of them stacked up. And then at tight ends, uh we're attacking the position with volume. Harold Fann and Dalton Schultz, Gunner Helm, Pat
60:33Freiermuth, and Darnell Washington.
60:36>> Interesting. Yeah, you got both the uh Steelers guys plus Jeremy Bernard. So, you got Steelers built out.
60:44You don't really need Rodgers when you have Burrow and Mahomes.
60:47Um but yeah, you definitely have a a bet on the Steelers offense having some undervalued pieces as well.
60:55Your build was 2495.
60:58I was 24104.
61:01So, pretty similar builds ultimately.
61:03Three early running backs for me, James Cook, Saquon Barkley, Javonte Williams, the running back four, Dylan Sampson, and just stopped with four.
61:12Um my quarterbacks Justin Herbert stacked with Vlad McConkey and Charlie Kolar.
61:19>> [laughter] >> Kyler Murray who I got with the single stack with Jordan Addison. Ultimately did not get Jordan Love to fall back to
61:27me. That would have been a completion of a double stack with Christian Watson and Jayden Reed.
61:32But uh oh well on that. And then uh at wide receiver Lad Carnel Tate, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Jordan Addison, Dontayvion Wicks,
61:43DeShawn Shivers, Keenan Allen, Jacoby Lane, and Rashod Bateman.
61:47And then at tight end Mark Andrews, Dallas Goedert, Hunter Henry, and Charlie Kolar.
61:54Pretty fun team.
61:55>> Yeah, I I like our squads. Uh hope that it is both of us at the top here advancing in week 15.
62:02>> Pat clears according to uh Mjohn.
62:05>> He did get Kolar, so I I can't >> get Kolar.
62:09Kolar gives me just the extra little, you know, what if I what if I beat you?
62:14>> Dude, if you had Charlie Kolar touchdown to get through, >> [snorts] >> I I would need some time to recover.
62:21Yeah, I I'm I might, you know, take a day or two >> [laughter] >> before I speak to you again.
62:25>> I can't believe on stream you thought Charlie Kolar might come back to bite at Herbert.
62:29>> I didn't think you'd do it in the 17th.
62:33Normally he's like in 19th >> it. I want to see what I want my Sims, you know what I mean? Like I'm like I'm
62:38going to do this.
62:39>> [laughter] >> Once you know you're going to do it, you got to do it in the 17th and then see
62:44who pops up. Cuz it was it was a different tight end, right? It was Gesicki.
62:48Uh and then so taking Kolar actually bumped it to Kmet. So I'm quite glad I took >> Yeah.
62:54>> it instead of Kmet Gesicki Kolar. It was better for me to go Kolar Kmet.
63:00>> Yeah, I mean you're certainly never going to get pushback from me on drafting Charlie Kolar, so.
63:05>> [laughter] >> All right.
63:09Uh thank you all for watching. I'm going to I'm going to go help out around the house. Um sounds like Britney could use it, so. Uh but again,
63:18thank you for watching. We'll be back tomorrow here on the Legendary Upside YouTube channel with Sam Sherman for That's Fair.
63:26Yeah, maybe we'll do another 555 or jump in the BBM streets. Um Best Ball Millionaire, that is. We'll see. But, uh also back Friday to talk uh
63:37with Jacob Sanderson and draft another team.
63:40Then, uh Matt Erb had an article that that hit the site this morning. Hope you check that out. He's got another uh tight end
63:47article hitting the site soon. Uh rankings, all that good stuff over at Legendary Upside. We haven't launched uh the kickstand yet, which is basically a
63:57sidekick light mode, but that is something we are still working on and hoping to get that guy get that out to
64:02you guys very soon. Um basically, it's it'll have uh a lot of the features of the sidekick. It will not have dynamic player rankings. Uh
64:11that is, you know, the the premium feature that the sidekick is built around, but the notification sound, the teammate tags, uh you know, those types of features,
64:20the ability to to upload custom ranks, sort by, you know, for for standard best ball and everything. Um sort by ADP, our
64:28ranks, your ranks, all that stuff. So, uh hoping to have that out very soon, and I'll send out an announcement post
64:36when it's ready to go. Uh you can also check out the sidekick at legendaryupside.com/sidekick if you're interested in the dynamic rankings.
64:45Thank you, guys, and we'll see you tomorrow for That's Fair.
64:50Take it easy.
