0:00Absolutely blessed to be joined by my good friend Theo Gramlich. We are drafting in a $350 draft on the NFFC Football Guys Players
0:10Championship $300,000 to first place. Theo, we are drafting out of the 11 slot in this draft with many other
0:20luminaries of the fantasy football space.
0:24How excited are you to click Justin Jefferson with this pick, brother?
0:27>> I mean, I I love the back end and I know you do as well. I took Jefferson the other day in an FFPC 350.
0:33He's just sort of sitting there and it's I think he's in a really, really good spot right here and it sort of feels
0:38like there's a potential gap between him and and the next wide receiver in in like pedigree and also just in in what we
0:47and also just pretty much ceiling outcome, too. I mean, I could conceivably >> know. Can we pass on Christian freaking McCaffrey at 11, though?
0:55>> He might come back around. These guys are fading him in the NFFC streets. The guy probably takes McCaffrey. If you
1:00want to take McCaffrey here, I get it.
1:03>> I think it's crazy to pass on McCaffrey at 11.
1:06>> Okay, we can push it. If you want to go McCaffrey, we can take him. I I'm kind of avoiding him, but I guess at 11 it's
1:11sort of it's >> dude.
1:13>> Yeah, it's fine. Let's take Christian McCaffrey. I I want to >> And look, at Look, in a lot of fantasy
1:18football leagues, you're just going to lose anyways. If Christian McCaffrey returns to practice tomorrow and the tweet is, "Hey, he feels great. You
1:26know, he just needed a week of to to relax and and get himself straight."
1:30Doesn't he just immediately go back to right next to JSN?
1:35>> Probably. I'm I'm I'm more into the I'm more into the the two wide receivers Amon-Ra and JSN this year than I am
1:41McCaffrey. I I I feel like especially in NFFC, I want to get those wide receivers. Um but it's fine and and
1:48>> All right.
1:49>> goes, "Okay. So, I think we're I think we're probably in a two running back build here."
1:54>> Yeah.
1:54>> Um because I think we'll get access to wide receivers next couple picks and it's all going to dry up. So, I'm
1:59open-minded to to the running back of choice. If you want to go sort of the nostalgia RB1 overall, we could go
2:05Jonathan Taylor, or if you want to go with the sort of the new hotness, I like Kenneth Walker here, too.
2:10>> I I overruled you on the first pick. I I said there's no way we're passing him. I will I will do I JT obviously kind of
2:17the math pick here, but I I mean, I love Kenneth Walker, so either of them is fine by me.
2:22>> Let's go Jonathan Taylor and sort of go with the two players that I think a lot of the high-stakes players are fading,
2:28but we'll get access to I mean, potentially this would have been the look like the like the absolute nuts. You would have had the RB1 and the
2:35RB2 for a good portion of last season, and JT was averaging like what? 27 points a game through week 10.
2:41>> He was on pace to have before Daniel Jones did his Achilles. Jonathan Taylor was going to have the best fantasy
2:48football season of any running back since LaDainian Tomlinson. I did a whole video on it on my channel last year in
2:53week nine about just like He He was on pace in the best ball stuff. He was going to have the highest advance rate
3:00of any player ever of all time in in best ball history before Daniel Jones did his Achilles. I mean, look, all due
3:07respect to these high-stakes guys, come the [ __ ] on, dude. I It's just like you you got to be playing I think you
3:13have to be playing so monumentally scared to be out on McCaffrey. If McCaffrey plays a 17-game season, he averaged 24 points per game last year. That was with
3:24I What was it? 3.2 yards per carry last year, I believe. Like you you get Kareem Hunt's rushing statistics and Keenan
3:32Allen's receiving statistics in in the same player. I I think that's a crazy start.
3:37>> Yeah, I mean, the RB1s overall have been old for the last 4 years. I think it's sort of like I'm I'm on Breece Hall and
3:43Bijan Robinson just like you are and everybody sort of with a brain is on those two guys at the one and the two
3:48spot this year, but the last 4 years have been 27-plus at the running back finishing as running back one. Uh McCaffrey obviously did it last year at
3:5729. He's so insulated because of the receiving work, but he has lost some explosiveness. I and I think people in the back of their minds a lot of the
4:05fade is they remember sort of what happened in 2024. Now he's off the field like like little tightness and all that
4:12kind of stuff. There's the theory that he wants more money, too. Have you heard this one? It's sort of a quiet quitting
4:16because of all these other running backs getting these massive contract and and now he wants like a a pay bump. I've
4:22heard I've heard that one, too, sort of floating around.
4:25>> I've heard that. I don't think [snorts] that I believe it, but uh I mean I don't I don't even know if the 49ers have the
4:30ability to give him that money. I would say one other thing about skipping A.J. Brown, Drake London, those guys there is the NFFC is third-round
4:40reversal and the wide receivers available for us at 26 are pretty good compared to if if we were having to pick
4:50what would that be? 38th would be our our normal pick, is that right?
4:55>> Yeah, I mean Neighbors Neighbors and Olavey should be off the board. There's a chance George Pickens falls to us here
5:01at 25. I think that's sort of 50/50. One of those two guys could be there Neighbors or or Pickens. We'll probably
5:07see Bowers go uh right here in somewhere in these next four he just sort of locked in.
5:11>> he just went to the Jets.
5:12>> I'm I missed I missed that one. I see Olavey going a little bit earlier. Uh we probably have to have to have a
5:19contingent plan here if both of those wide receivers are gone.
5:24Um but yeah, there's a ton of them.
5:27A ton of them here.
5:28You could also go with the with the the the three There's going to be potential that one of the one of the other old
5:34running backs falls to uh 25.
5:36>> say if it's if it's Barkley, I'm going to have a very hard time passing on on Barkley. So and I'm not even somehow I
5:42become the running back guy. I think I think maybe some of these uh NFFC boomers have have lost the plot a little
5:49bit, man. It's uh Come on, dude.
5:51>> All you guys All you guys are running back filled this year. All of you guys.
5:55>> All All the All the slappies are are running back filled now. Yeah.
5:59>> Yes, so we've got three guys in the queue here.
6:01Uh I like your idea of Saquon if he's there, we're just going to pull the trigger.
6:05I mean, it's Saquon, and he's going to be the offensive focal point this year.
6:09I have him a little lower in my rankings. This is about in line where I had him. I'm going to have to adjust it
6:14because I'm going to have to dock There and there goes uh Saquon to a a very, very good drafter who won the Primetime a
6:20couple years ago.
6:21Um So, we have two wide receivers in the queue. Anybody else you want to kind of push up here?
6:27>> I mean, I have Rashid Shaheed, Zay Flowers, and Garrett Wilson all in this tier.
6:35So, I don't I don't really care which one. It's It's up to you.
6:41>> Yeah, I mean, I think it's if you want to open ourselves up to some Jalen Hurts correlation, he falls so far in NFFC.
6:48So, Devonta would sort of be my pick here. I'm Flowers Smith for me are like neck and neck. I have them both slightly ahead of Wilson,
6:57but Wilson is is just automatic for this sort of scoring. I mean, the the numbers are going to be elite. Uh target share
7:04and and total targets are going to be massive. So, and then Rashid goes. So, you've got >> You got three here. It's sort of how how
7:11you want to build it. We will be passing on Derrick Henry. You don't have the same sort of uh You're not You're not as attracted to
7:18the Henry pick as you >> I was going to say, I'm just I'm just not as afraid of him totally burying me.
7:22Before that week 17 game last year, he was the running back 18 in full PPR. He just, you know, absolutely killed you in
7:28in week 17.
7:30Uh again Yeah, I again, I don't really care. These guys are all in a tier for me. You You choose.
7:35>> Okay, I I think we should go with uh Smith here. I think Smith is a fun one uh just because of the correlation, and
7:41I think Lamar is going to go higher than we want. Um, so protect just keeping ourselves open for correlation. It's not
7:47a terrible run out here. So, Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor, Devonta Smith. Good luck building this in your ESPN league, Davis.
7:55>> Yeah, I mean the the So, the deal for me about skipping on Jefferson and skipping on A.J. Brown is frankly, uh, I just I'm
8:06like pretty good at drafting wide receivers and there are I've already done one of these 350s. It's just not that hard to find like will we be losing
8:15wide receiver points to the St. Brown Olave team, to the Puka Nico team? Sure.
8:20But, given that there are some guys who I think are being really overlooked at the wide receiver three slot. And then
8:27another thing is and I I've not seen the high stakes guys come around to this quite yet is starting tight ends in the flex in this format is
8:37actually a huge hack in in this full PPR stuff. I I did three of these 350s last year, won all of them, won all three of
8:45them. And we were starting one was McBride and Fannon.
8:53One we drafted Bowers and won the league anyways because we drafted Fannon later and then I want to say it was maybe
9:00Goddard who we were starting in the flex. But, two of the three teams we were starting a tight end in the flex
9:04every single week and it's a it's it's one of the um underused strategies in non-tight end premium high stakes stuff.
9:13>> I'm with you. It's people are people are certainly on Tyler Warren this year in NFFC and they're definitely on Colston
9:19Loveland. Trey McBride, there's a a number of analysts, not you, but there's some analysts sort of pushing him down.
9:26I tell you what I I I I People are going to hate this one. I don't know if you're with this, but I
9:30like the way Cars- Carson Beck looked the other day and it's sort of the whole narrative that Carson Beck is going to
9:36crash this offense I'm sort of it's a harder one to make after seeing him in an NFL game. Um, I actually have a Brock Bowers Trey
9:44McBride team in this $350 contest with Dan Williamson where we drafted against a bunch of these guys and that's sort of
9:51the way it fell was Bowers in in round two. Uh, and then we ended up with McBride in like round four when the wide
9:58receivers got completely steamrolled and the best value on the board was easily Trey McBride. So, I I'm with it. I think
10:04it's fine. I also think that a lot of those really high upside potential low-end tight end ones, they fall so far
10:12that it's easy to sort of mix them in too. And if one of those guys ends up hitting in a major way sort of like
10:17Tucker Kraft was on on track for last year, you could end up with a with a really cheap cheap flex option. I've
10:24seen some smart guys do that where they'll do three tight end builds when everybody else is doing two tight end builds and end up with some pretty good
10:31pass catching tight ends because people are just fade the position completely.
10:36Even this year like Fanning's going to fall pretty far. I've drafted a couple guy like you'll you'll send up seeing Kraft especially with the recent Kraft
10:44news, he falls really far. And then there's a couple of NFFC drafters who are kind of fading Sam LaPorta. He falls
10:50I mean, he's falling completely in this format. And then you flip it around look at NFFC, all those guys are sort of
10:56locked in. So, it's very interesting, but I think the two tight ends is definitely viable.
11:01>> Yeah, I did this research for a video last week which is basically after about pick 70, the best pick in terms of projected
11:13for like projected points is tight end.
11:16Tight ends project better than the wide receivers basically for like the next 100 but the best available tight end projects better than the best available
11:23wide receiver. Now, obviously, you only have to start one tight end or you you only have to start one tight end. You
11:28have to start three wide receivers. So, that's not exactly a one-to-one. But just like if you think about it, like who is going to project better
11:35in week one or week 10?
11:38Rashid Shaheed or Dallas Goedert, right?
11:41Definitely going to be definitely going to be Goedert, right? And then just kind of falling down from there. DJ Moore before Igbokwe, before Garrett Wilson.
11:50>> [snorts] >> You never know what you're going to see in these drafts, Theo. Are you Are you buying this? Are you buying the the DJ
11:56Moore stuff?
11:57>> I had DJ Moore really buried, and the two of us podcasted about this before, and we were sort of fading him
12:03completely. I guess where I have him in line is still sort of way behind this ADP, but I'm a little bit more
12:09open-minded to drafting him after hearing like the Josh Allen comments, seeing him in the preseason. I think they're like committed to to using him.
12:17I think your argument on fading him was correct, but again, I'm still probably not going to get a whole lot of DJ Moore
12:23cuz look where he's going in in these sort of drafts.
12:26Um, but I did move him up a little bit in my most recent rankings update. You Are you leaving him like straight alone,
12:32um, dead and buried? I'm on with uh Scott Barrett later later tonight at 7:00. We're streaming a main event. I'm going to ask him cuz he had DJ Moore
12:38completely buried, too.
12:40>> I I haven't moved him. I haven't moved him at all. If it If I do end up taking him in any of these formats, it will be
12:47because the board falls that way. Like it it wouldn't be that I would never take him. Like I have moved Parker
12:53Washington up. Um, I I've adjusted. So, I mean, frankly, having to delete Jordan Tyson from the rankings has been pretty pretty brutal there. So, it it's
13:03possible that things just kind of drift that way. Like maybe a Doomsday, uh, ends up rising because we get a report
13:09that the Burden groin injury is worse.
13:10Like I could see the board shaking out, but I haven't moved DJ Moore up. I still have him behind Rome. And And probably
13:18the crucial one is I still have him behind Brevin Jordan Jr., which almost means that I'm like would never would never get him. Fourth round Brevin is
13:28crazy.
13:29>> I had him I mean I had him I had him like a little and look the same team team five did the same thing
13:34Dan and I did. So like you said PPR format Jackson Smith-Njigba, Brock Bowers, Trey McBride you're starting out your draft with
13:42330 catches right there between the three of those guys potentially more and then you get the boom bust T Higgins. I mean
13:48that's a dangerous looking like zero RB type build. Team I the team that sort of pushed I think people are also pushing
13:55DJ Moore strategically because Josh Allen starts to fall as well. So you can end up building out that that Josh Allen
14:01correlation and they're two picks away from getting Josh Allen DJ Moore which is you know not bad. That Miami match up
14:08in the in the final final week 17 could end up being pretty good for those guys if he holds up. And then Loveland goes
14:14one pick right after.
14:15>> Man it's it's just to me it is so funny to see the zero running back teams coming from these high stakes drafters
14:22after doing it for for so long. I mean sometimes the value does just shake out that way. Like I I think Garrett Wilson
14:27in the middle of third good pick.
14:30Loveland I mean Loveland over some of the guys we have in our queue I would I would not do. I mean there are actually
14:37still multiple wide receiver names that I still really like. Although the Tyson injury definitely does change the calculus of that for me cuz he was like
14:44a prime like gold star target for me that I'm now like moving way off the board.
14:49>> Yeah it's it's awful with Jordan Addison. I moved Olave way up and and I moved Addison like way way way down. And
14:56I think it could end up being like week nine before we see him and and if there's a re-aggravation I mean you
15:00start going through all these scenarios through your head.
15:03There's one player I really hope this this drafter doesn't take Davis.
15:10>> I mean I think there's one very obvious pick for us and then some guys that we are not going to be near as excited to
15:15take. There you go. And we get our way.
15:17I'm totally with you on Jameson.
15:20>> Yeah I've been taking Jameson a lot in this contest. I love Jameson. I think it's I mean it's especially with our
15:25build, I think it's a no-brainer.
15:26>> Yeah, I I completely agree. I I the old guys who are sitting here are fine to me, Devante Adams and Mike Evans. Never
15:35any like I to me they are not like podium sprints though.
15:40>> Completely agree. I mean I think that the running backs are interesting. I think Tyler Warren's interesting a little early.
15:47Um if you want to take Devante Adams if he's there, I'm open-minded to it. I took Mike Evans before later than this in in a 350. It
15:57It just doesn't feel It doesn't feel great to me. Um but it does open us up to like Brock Purdy correlation, which I think is good.
16:04>> Yeah, uh I mean there is a running back who's still on the board who is like a massive ADP and and rankings value
16:12honestly for me. So, I would be interested in your thoughts on Kyren Williams if he doesn't go. Obviously, we are threatened
16:22to be buried by the wide receiver avalanche if we don't take one here, but uh you know, people people are learning
16:29more and more. You actually are allowed to start a running back in in your flex.
16:33>> I mean if it holds up, I think Kyren is fine value here. I mean I understand the fade then Kyren goes. So,
16:40So, we're sort of wide open here.
16:42I'm open-minded to what you want to do here. I don't love any of these options.
16:46>> I I don't love any of them either. We could do the more boring thing and take Adams or Evans. I I I actually would not
16:54mind taking Cornell Tate here >> Let's take Tate. Embracing some variance.
16:58>> Yeah, let's take Tate.
16:59>> Yeah, I my my takeaway from the Cam Ward preseason game was, well, don't think this is going to work. Don't
17:07don't think a ton has changed there. But Cornell Tate I mean Cornell Tate was the fourth overall pick in the NFL draft. This This is where
17:14This is is Travis Hunter was going last year as a as a two-way player. You know, I I just I think Carnell Tate as your wide
17:21receiver three, if if he was on I mean, if the Titans end up being the 21st best offense in football, isn't
17:29isn't Carnell Tate just like an insane smash in the in the fifth round?
17:33>> I mean, I think we look at the history for Daboll and how he's been able to fast-track these wide receivers in year
17:39one.
17:40Um and I understand he's different than Neighbors, way different than Stefon Diggs was, but we've seen it twice. And the team seems to really like him. Uh I
17:47worry about the quality of the offense in Tennessee, and obviously you are as well, but we're getting a guy with top-five draft capital and sort of an
17:54alpha profile, and we're getting him next to two guys that are like 32 years old. So, I I'm I always want to be sort
18:00of an agist here, especially in this format, and I feel like Tate I mean, the the usage could be really, really good. I understand there's a
18:08bunch of people who like Wan'Dale Robinson and and thinks he could be like sort of another PPR scam, but when I
18:14look at that offense, it's like the offensive focal point has to be Carnell Tate for them. And if the season starts
18:19getting away from them, I think they're it's still like trying to ramp up Tate.
18:24I think Tate's a a significant riser for like next year. There's a chance you're taking Carnell Tate like where we're taking George Pickens when we get to
18:32next year's NFFC draft. So, hopefully we're hopefully we're identifying a big riser here. And I would have rather had Rome.
18:41>> Um but >> I would have rather had Rome.
18:43>> But I'm fine with him versus these guys in the next couple wide receivers coming up.
18:48>> Yeah, the guys who go immediately after.
18:50I mean, we knew Evans and Adam We knew Evans and Adams were going to go. Kyren I I think would have been like
18:56a very, very good pick.
18:57I I don't know. Would you have taken Tate or Harrison? I I have those guys back-to-back in my rankings.
19:03>> Tate? I think I'm probably a little more open-minded to to Michael Wilson. I understand like I know a lot of you guys
19:09doing it the the ship-chasing stuff are kind of pushing Harrison >> like Michael Wilson. I I I've kind of changed my tune on him.
19:16>> I know that uh like Jacob Sanderson, Ryan Heath, a couple of those guys that I podcasted with a lot, they're very big
19:22on Marvin Harrison Jr.
19:23I don't hate Marvin Harrison Jr. I just feel like he should be going a little closer to Michael Wilson.
19:28Um I think the run out could end up being Wilson and Wilson's so much cheaper and it's a guy that I think a
19:32lot of people are fading. So, I think it's probably 55-45 that Harrison out outscores him, but the market's sort of trading it like it's 65-35.
19:41Um and it's a pretty big ADP gap. So, I'm fine with Wilson. I think Wilson ends up probably being the number two
19:47target in Arizona. Um I think Wilson people are underestimating him returning value again this year. He's sort of like the boring pick. Running
19:55back run here. I saw somebody in the chat saying, "So, this is start three wide receivers with the flex and it's
20:01PPR scoring and it's six-point passing touchdowns in NFFC. So, if you've used to seeing Davis or I do an FFPC streams,
20:09it's a little different than this one.
20:11So, you'll see like a quarterback run probably showing up here in round six, Davis.
20:16>> Yeah, I think it's I actually think the strategy is quite different because in the FFPC, I mean, I will have a tight
20:23end in my flex.
20:25I don't know. I mean, a lot of the time just because you get to you get to the um you get to
20:31the bye weeks, you get to injuries and stuff and you're like, "Yeah, man, Dalton Schultz is just a really good start in in the FFPC." It's just kind of
20:39the way that that ends up working out.
20:41Obviously, you don't want to be doing I mean, frankly, like if if we are starting a tight end in our flex in this league, we're probably not
20:48feeling that good about about our team cuz it probably means Kyler Murray probably stinks if we're starting a tight end in our flex here.
20:55>> Yeah, you're right about that. Um that team with Tee Higgins passed up Burrow. I think that was sort of an
21:00interesting to go Scat Boo and sort of get away from that zero RB start. What do you think of that?
21:07>> I I actually think it's fine. My overwhelming feeling this year has been every time I've done one of these drafts
21:13and we've taken Lamar or we've taken Hurts or we've taken Drake May or whatever, I've ended up it's the classic thing. You go through
21:22the draft and you're like, "Dude, sick.
21:23We got Lamar." And then you go back and you look at the 2v2 and you're like, "Yeah, man. We did not do the right
21:28thing. Like we we did we did the wrong thing there." And then he got he got Burrow coming back around again, which I
21:34guess was probably his plan.
21:36>> Yeah, you're right. I mean, every single time you you draft a quarterback somewhat early, even if it's like round seven, you end up seeing these obscene
21:44values in like round 10, round 11. So, you know, and and Hurts especially in this format gets pushed down so so much.
21:51Um I've seen Hurts go like exceptionally low. And if you want to go even with like a cheaper uh 2QB build, you know,
21:58we could get it since we're at 11, we can end up double tapping it at strategically. So, yeah, it's uh it's tough with those 2v2s
22:06when you get hindsight with those quarterback picks.
22:08>> Actually, I think [snorts] that move is underrated. The the double tap move at quarterback I think is a little underrated. Basically, like the roster
22:16spots, you you feel that they are so valuable when you are drafting right now.
22:22But, how many times are you going to cycle through Ty Johnson and and Breashad Smith and stuff during the year? And
22:30having two top 15-ish quarterbacks like I don't know, you know, a the Mahomes-Hurts tandem or or uh Brock Purdy and Bo Nix or whatever, you are
22:40you you feel very good about being able to play the mashups with those guys, I think.
22:45>> And you also kind of strategically you force the quarterback run if you do it from like the the one spot or or where
22:52we're at or the 12 spot, you can sort of force people to sort of push quarterbacks up and all that. So, uh
22:58there I think you're seeing way fewer naked quarterback builds in NFFC and FFPC. They're almost unheard of.
23:05Drafting 5 years ago, you'd see a single QB in 20 rounds. Nobody does that anymore. So, I think you can influence
23:12people to get their quarterback, too. I think the fact that quarterbacks are sort of falling um in both formats this year versus previous years
23:19has made people way more open to hey, I'm going to get that really high-end second quarterback cuz I haven't wasted much draft capital in this.
23:26>> Yeah. Uh so, I was hoping there was a chance Jahmyr Gibbs Price came all the way around to us knowing how these guys are
23:32treating uh running backs. I'm I'm super super high on Jahmyr Gibbs Price. And like every new thing makes me feel better. Like all the all the updates on
23:43him have been in in my opinion very good. He he's like a a prime target for me.
23:48>> Price is really good. I think the fact that like we heard all that noise about George Holani challenging him and then
23:54they play George Holani and they they kind of give George Holani I think it was like what 12 carries or something.
23:59Uh it's Jahmyr Gibbs Price for sure. And I think he's got a lot of talent.
24:02>> in the second with Jalen Milroe.
24:04>> Yeah, it's it's the Holani dreams are dead.
24:08Um I mean I mean I it was it was never something I got behind, but like Holani as like a a
24:13pass blocker, I think that's his utility.
24:16Um but Price could end up scoring double-digit touchdowns this year. He could end up with a thousand plus rushing yards.
24:22Uh and it's a very good offense still. I think like a lot of the fears of Seattle are sort of overrated. I have I I think
24:28we're I'm looking at the board here.
24:30I think we're probably still wide receiver on this pick. Where where are you at on this one?
24:38>> Yeah, uh we are. Um I think there are I mean, frankly, there are like four This is the range I love taking wide
24:45receivers. It's why I really was totally fine with the running back running back start because in if you go look at my rankings, I have everyone
24:54from Adams and Evans all the way to Downs, Golden, Worthy, these guys, I have them all in one tier.
25:03I I have all these guys in one like 30 wide receiver tier. Um what are you thinking with this pick?
25:11>> I mean, I think the two wide receivers we have at at the top of the queue, I like uh I like Wilson or Golden here
25:18pushing him up. And I'll say the one name that's interesting to sort of set a new trend because he won't be there when
25:24we pick in round eight, nine, would be getting Casey Concepcion. I think the other two guys that are in play for me, Jonathan Brooks is our
25:31running back three, Kyle Pitts is our tight end one. I'm sort of wide open.
25:35>> I would definitely take Brooks here. I I think this is going to be this is going to end up being this is going to end up
25:39being CLV on Jonathan Brooks, I think.
25:42>> Okay, so let's take Brooks and then we get Brooks as our our running back three {slash} flex.
25:47And when Christian McCaffrey gets hurt, we'll be able to put Brooks in our running back two and move Jonathan Taylor to the running back one and still
25:53uh stay upright.
25:54>> Wait, wait, when we get the Schefter when we get the Schefter tweet tomorrow that uh that it actually turns out that
26:00uh sorry guys, uh Christian McCaffrey, he his tightness requires a uh he's got to actually take the trip over to Germany. He's uh he's really he's really
26:09banged up. Yeah, that's uh that's exactly what it is.
26:12>> And then I think And one of those wide receivers should be here. There's uh obviously two picks before we pick,
26:18but I'm okay kind of pushing up uh the rookie here if you want to want to get spicy.
26:24>> I'm I'm super down. Super down.
26:26>> Yeah.
26:26>> Yeah.
26:27I I just think the thing with Brooks is if you grant that he is going to be healthy, there's really not an argument for him
26:36to be go like I I know he's like, "Oh, the lead back on the Panthers." Like, what do you win when you win? Well, it's
26:41either he's he is able to do like the D'Onta Foreman from last year.
26:45Obviously not expecting him to rip off back-to-back 35-point games, but the D'Onta Foreman in terms of the expected points was so good. Like when when Hubbard was
26:54banged up, it was huge. Even and even when Hubbard came back and Doubs was the lead, like the results weren't there, but the
27:01expected points were still super good.
27:04There you go. I I'm down to do Concepcion.
27:06>> Okay. So, it's really I mean, all three of them make sense All four of these guys I can make an argument, but Casey
27:11is is I mean, I'm I'm smitten. I've taken him in the 10th round in a bunch of FFPC drafts. And now we're about to
27:17take him at the beginning of the seventh. I mean, the practical thing would probably be Michael Wilson or I mean, we could go Kyle Pitts here, but
27:25I think I I mean, Casey Concepcion is just he's electric. Matthew Golden's also interesting to me. He's going to be on the field the whole time. Um I think
27:33it's Davis, I'm I'm torn on this one. If you want to go Casey Concepcion though, let's let's follow our hearts. If we
27:40want to go practicality, it's I think Wilson leading Arizona at wide receiver room, but uh I'm okay taking the rookie and just just really pushing it.
27:48>> No, I think let's set the edge.
27:49>> Yeah.
27:50>> Let's set the edge on on Concepcion. I mean, Golden Golden I love. I I think Golden is the most obvious breakout bet since I've
27:59been doing fantasy of like his rookie year if if like two plays go differently, his stats look differently.
28:06Everyone involved in the organization Like I they they did a Packers like family event um in in like February and like James Jones and Jordy Nelson and
28:17Donald Driver were all there. And they were all like, "This guy Matthew Golden, you guys have no idea. It's going to be
28:24It's going to be insane." And then they trade Wix, and then they let Doubs walk at like really like the What? Doubs is $18 million a year or
28:33something? Like it's like below market money for a wide receiver. Like they could have easily afforded it. They don't even a a sneaky thing is they
28:40didn't even add a second tight end. I don't know how much you've been following this, but they ran back the same tight end room from last year, and
28:47Luke Musgrave has a neck injury right now. So, there And their starting tight end is coming back from an ACL. So,
28:54it's like they're not one of these teams that's looking to scale up to 12. I I think the Golden stuff is I think he's
28:58going to be Even if he's not that good, I think the volume is going to be really good.
29:04>> Yeah, I mean, I'm with you. And also, Kraft right now has limitations on how many snaps. So, the chance of
29:09re-aggravation is there. I think that all of three of them have contingent upside. But, Reed is still has those challenges of they don't play him in two
29:17wide receiver sets. And I think if Golden or Watson went down, Reed's targets uh per route run and stuff would go up. All the metrics we like would go
29:26up. But, in terms of like the raw snaps, you probably see like Savion Williams on the outside. So, I think all of the wide
29:32receivers have uh contingent upside if Kraft misses time. I think Kraft probably has some contingent uh target volume if one of the wide receivers goes
29:40down. It's going to be a way easier offense to sort of target where it's J.
29:45Jacobs, MarShawn Lloyd are both in play for me. Uh especially when Jacobs falls a lot. And MarShawn Lloyd sort of been
29:50an automatic pick whenever he's available in like a smart in a smart range. And then, I've mixed in Christian Watson, Golden, Reed. I took Golden in
29:59FFPC Main Event. So, I'm I'm with it. Um and then, you know, for quarterback, these quarterbacks are going to fall and
30:05fall and fall. Drake Maye here in round seven. This is a sign that I think our quarterback's going to come in round
30:10nine, round 10, even round 11. We can wait for quarterback. There's going to be a bunch of guys falling.
30:16>> Six point per passing touchdown, we are totally fine to take Jared Goff >> Yeah.
30:20>> I'm I'm totally fine to take Purdy naked. I I don't think you have to stack Purdy. I'm totally >> Not naked. Not naked. You got 100
30:27catches to to use Christian Watson.
30:29>> catches. There you go.
30:30>> There you go.
30:31>> I wasn't even thinking. I Honestly, honestly, the Purdy CMC correlation is probably like super nice >> Yeah.
30:37>> in in general. Yeah. And then, I I just spent a long time talking about Golden to to not take him. I mean, I'm
30:43going to have plenty of opportunities to take Golden because my my cohorts, at least at least Jacob is is finally in on
30:51on Golden. So, still selling still selling Peter and and Corrine on that one a little bit. And then I mean, we have been we I
30:59we might have taken Concepcion on every main we've done thus far. He he's like a prime prime target of us. Scored the
31:05rushing touchdown. I mean, he's just he's just really really good.
31:08>> He's awesome. He's awesome. And I think if anybody can overcome, you know, poor quarterback play, it's Casey Concepcion.
31:14Like I really like Denzel Boston. I was taking Boston in like the 15th round all the time. Now you're starting to see
31:20Boston I mean, in this draft, Boston's going to go in the 10th round. And even in like FFPC, you're seeing him in like
31:25the 12th round. He's going to be on the field all the time, but it's harder to see that sort of outside threat
31:32um they're comparing him to Drake London, they're comparing him to Michael Pittman. Uh that sort of player uh surviving in this like weekly basis. But
31:40Casey Concepcion, they're going to get him the ball in like very like direct ways. They're going to give him manufactured rush attempts, screen
31:46passes.
31:48Uh really like I think it could be a really fun run out for Casey. I think it was Jacob had the comparison to rookie year
31:54Garrett Wilson, but that ship has sailed. He's going to go way higher than Garrett Wilson was. Garrett Wilson was like 11th rounder in this format and was
32:00a massive edge pick. Uh Casey, I think where we drafted him is about where he's going to go in Vegas.
32:08>> Yeah, I think you're I think you are probably correct. I mean, Concepcion we actually we actually saw the Casey Concepcion experience because his
32:16sophomore year in NC State, Grayson McCall transfers in and then immediately suffers three concussions and I believe had to medically retire from football
32:25and they bring in this guy, I want to say something Bailey, Imani Bailey maybe, something. But he was like a true
32:31freshman like a running quarterback. And they were like, we have to figure out a way to get Concepcion in ball. We don't
32:36know how we're going to do it, but we've got to figure out a way to do it. And yeah, his A dot fell. It was all like he
32:42got I think he got like 25 rush attempts his sophomore year. Like it was like just find a way to get him the ball
32:47because the quarterback can't really do it.
32:50>> Yeah, I mean and last year CJ >> CJ CJ Bailey. Thank you Mac Nova.
32:55>> And last year the quarterback play was really inconsistent at Texas A&M. Like Casey Concepcion I think I think he's awesome. I just dropped a video that's
33:03dropping tomorrow morning and I moved him into like my top 85 in PPR.
33:10So obviously in a start three wide receiver format even higher. But I I think he's like there's a chance he could end up being the best wide
33:16receiver out of this draft class like a a good chance that he was like him criminally underrated and when we did it
33:21last year in in Dynasty rookie draft season. So I'm with it. Harold Fannin would have been a nice follow run out
33:28here in the eighth.
33:29>> Yeah, you know, honestly at tight end I think there are so many good players who are not drafted for like Goddert and
33:38Andrews and Kelsey are not selected because they're old and then Saddiq and Terrance Ferguson are not selected in these because they haven't done it yet.
33:46But they to me are like You know, I mean we all obviously know this, but every year the you know who the worst pick in
33:53fantasy is? It's like the tight end eight. It's like literally just like go through your list of your life and go
33:59like go look at some of your old drafts and be like who were some guys we took a tight end eight. Pat Freiermuth, Dawson
34:05Knox, Gary Barnidge, remember Jordan Cameron? Like we've taken so many shitty tight ends at tight end eight, you know.
34:13>> Yeah, it's it's a bad bet, but it feels like this year I think it's it feels like the year of the tight end for me.
34:18I'm way a little more open-minded to them. Usually like um like tight end um tight end eight is like a total fade like you
34:27said, but you start looking at some of these guys. It's the Laportas, the Krafts. They're They're I'm really open-minded to drafting them. But yeah,
34:35historically this is like absolutely the tight end dead zone.
34:38>> Like Golden falls to the eighth.
34:40>> Yeah. Yeah. Historically, it's just it's truly some of like the the worst the worst picks of all time. So like I I
34:47don't do everything by historical curves or whatever, but it does feel like a pretty unique situation to just be like there are some really good releasing the
34:57late tight ends. Someone Someone is not a fan of fading Harold Fannin and someone says someone says, "Come on, bro. You got to You got to figure this
35:04out."
35:04>> Yeah, you got to You got to You got to live a little. Don't fade Harold Fannin.
35:07>> Yeah. Uh all right, the team thus far is Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor, DeVonta Smith, Jameson Williams, Cornell Tate, Jonathan Brooks, Casey Concepcion.
35:17Uh there is one mega smash name in the queue that I think we would we would podium race for, but I actually think
35:25all three of the guys in the queue are pretty good. Okay, well, there you go. Laporta goes I would say Laporta I
35:31think would have been a really really good pick for us.
35:34>> I I would have I would have liked Laporta. Um I mean again, [snorts] I think we're wide open here. One of the two guys in
35:40our queue is going to come back around.
35:41We don't need them, but they're interesting uh sort of for this build.
35:46I think it's I'm I'm wide open here.
35:51I'm wide open here for sure. There's not like a a a clear standout um except for quarterback.
35:57>> I think given the wide receiver pricing, I I think Worthy is a great pick here.
36:02>> I'm okay with Worthy. I mean, I think he's I'm like a little less into him than I am some of the other guys, but
36:07>> just like after him, we go to like guys who are dead to matter.
36:12>> Like like Romeo Doubs. Romeo Doubs very well might outscore Xavier Worthy on average, but is Romeo Doubs ever scoring more than 10 points per game this
36:20season? I I don't know.
36:21>> Let's take Let's take Worthy. I think Worthy's fine. I think Worthy's gotten kind of beat up. Um obviously people are
36:27into the rookie, but I think he's got a potentially good run out here.
36:31Yeah, I mean dead post type sleeper, but if if Rice misses time, uh, obviously, I think I think Worthy last year we were taking him way, way
36:39higher than this. I know I was on him, you were as well. He gets injured that first game.
36:43>> is now?
36:44He's Quentin Johnston. He's a guy He's a guy who objectively probably sucks, but plays in an offense that's good enough that the second wide receiver on that
36:52team can just like luck into 800 yd and seven touchdowns.
36:57>> I'll throw out one sort of name just to consider for potential correlation and nostalgia vibes. I just threw him in
37:05the in the the queue.
37:07>> Uh, oh, yeah. No, I think I think I think he he the the news is There you go. Xavier You know what? I'm ready to
37:14say even if Xavier Worthy stinks, one pick ahead of Trey Sermon and Jordan Tyson with an injured hammy is is fine.
37:22I I think the nostalgia name is better.
37:23I think we push him on quarterback.
37:25>> Yeah, let's push quarterback cuz we have multiple correlation plays and if quarterbacks gets pushed down, I think we take a potential edge pick at tight
37:33end and we also get a free look if he plays and if he doesn't play, uh, we'll we'll we'll be adding another tight end
37:39anyway. So, George Kittle, I think here makes sense and you get the George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey. And then some people in the chat I saw Trey
37:46Sermon QJ got hurt today, apparently.
37:50>> Yeah, so we don't know the extent of it, but it's very cryptic. And Trey Sermon they held him out of the preseason game.
37:56They played Kemani Vidal, they played I Rond e Gadson, but they held out Trey Sermon, they held out Keaton Mitchell.
38:02So, we're starting to see like the hierarchy in LA. If QJ is is I mean, again, we're going to find out something
38:08in like an hour. It could it could the news could have already come out like something positive for QJ, but right
38:13now, you know, whenever you see these injuries in these live drafts, people sort of like to take advantage. I took Trey Sermon last week in an NFFC draft
38:21in like the 13th round and people were saying, "What are you doing, Theo?" And now you're seeing Trey Harris going in
38:27the end of round eight. It's just wild, wild.
38:30>> People are people are just too horned up, man. They're too horned up to draft.
38:34They're too horned up for news. I mean, Trey Harris, even if Like Trey Harris, if he ran 85% of the routes, do I think he's like
38:43who who has a better targets per route run, Charlie Kolar or Trey Harris? I don't know, man. Trey Harris to me was a
38:49bad prospect, like he had the the insane like what was it?
38:53Like 5.3 yards per route run or whatever, which sounds like amazing, but like it it was so good that I was like
38:59there's got to be something wrong there, and that is exactly who he was as a The guy could not get the ball when he was on the field.
39:06Justin Herbert never saw him.
39:08>> Yeah, he was older. It sort of looked like it was sort of like there's been this continual drumbeat of all these
39:13like big outside threat SEC wide receivers where it was like Mingo, Trey Harris, guys like that, and we've seen them fail, but I don't know. Mike McDaniel
39:23likes them, and in the QJ role he'd be fun. Somebody in the chat said Shefter said QJ is fine, but uh yeah, it starts getting really,
39:31really choppy at wide receiver. I'm going to add a couple more guys in the queue that I think are interesting, but I think we we've done a good job of
39:40without a quarterback, I think we've done a pretty good job here of having a pretty dangerous build.
39:45Worthy as the wide receiver five feels fine.
39:48I wish we would have one more like stable, boring wide receiver. Yeah.
39:53>> Tyquan hamstring injury, by the way.
39:55Just just I literally just just tweeted it.
39:58Um I look, I know it no one no one left wants to be in Worthy's corner. No one wants to do it. No one is brave enough
40:07to be like this guy is just a good pick in fantasy football.
40:10If you if you grant him clemency for playing through a torn labrum as a 170-lb guy, the profile's still pretty good. Like the if you if
40:21you go compare his rookie season, obviously you get you get some huge busts in there, but you also get some guys who got way better year two. Um
40:30like way way better. And I mean going after Jaden Higgins, I mean all due all due respect to to Jaden Higgins, bro. He he like he Jordan
40:40Tyson, who is currently like I don't even frankly I don't even think he's going to play. I like my my true belief
40:48is I just don't think Jordan Tyson's going to play this year. I I I think if if that's who's in the queue, if it's
40:53Alec Pierce and Jordan Tyson, give me give me Worthy every time.
40:57>> Yeah, I've been mixing in Worthy on on Underdog. Again, he's he's just falling into a range where there's going to be a
41:03bunch of misses, and at least with Worthy we have some pedigree, and we know that they tried to ramp him up last
41:08year to start out the year. Familiarity with Andy Reid, familiarity with Patrick Mahomes, and we get him as a wide receiver five. We're probably not done
41:15at wide receiver, either, but we have to take some swings. When you start out with Christian McCaffrey and Jonathan Taylor in this format, or any two
41:21running backs in this format, you've got to take some swings at wide receiver. I think Jameson Williams is is a is a really big swing that I've been
41:30willing to make, and I've been willing to sort of push him ahead of ADP. I think he can end up having a really
41:34really good year. But then we go Tate, we go Kasey Kahne Kahne, we got to keep swinging for the fences.
41:39There's not like a wide receiver that's going to save us in round 12, 13 in this format. Um so, got to take swings on
41:47guys who can score and really put up spike weeks, and Worthy can still do that. I think we can all agree on that.
41:53>> Yeah, or and I think that Worthy funnily enough, I actually think we probably get an idea pretty quick how startable he is, just like general
42:03temperature of the Chiefs offense, what is his average depth of target? Like is his aDOT like 11.7, or is it like 14? Or is it like
42:13seven and a half? And he is he's the new scam. Are they designing like Run CMC?
42:18Like what I think there will be a pretty big tell on is this Marquez Valdes-Scantling or is this you you know a good comp for what
42:27he could do would be the year that Watkins had on the Chiefs, which you know, no one no one wants to be like,
42:33"Oh, Watkins, whatever."
42:35You know, 600 yards and three touchdowns.
42:39At this price, that is totally fine.
42:41It's not it's not what you want. It's not what we It's not what I thought Xavier Worthy was going to be in the
42:45NFL.
42:46That's that's certainly more production than than Jordan Addison is going to have.
42:50>> Nightmare story with Sammy Watkins.
42:53Sammy Watkins had that week one game where he scored was like 35, 40 points.
42:58And I had this zero RB builder or a hero RB build team in the NFFC classic, I believe, and I benched him that week.
43:06And I didn't have those points. I still won that that league, but it was like the biggest nightmare scenario ever. It
43:12would have been like the highest score of anybody in NFFC if I just would have started him. I think I still won that
43:17week and all this kind of stuff, but it was like one of the biggest horror stories you can ever imagine. There's nothing worse
43:22than when you bench a guy who has a spike week. I can remember it like it was yesterday, but Watkins had yeah,
43:27massive couple of massive scoring weeks for Andy Reid.
43:31Definitely was like a weird run out to have that kind of production in week one though.
43:35We're going to see this might be our quarterback pick, Davis. I don't We don't need to make the pick, but the the
43:41problem if we don't make the pick here at 10:11 is somebody might take a second quarterback. You might see like team
43:47four double tap it. Team six takes their quarterback, and then you might get stuck.
43:53We'll see what what team 12 does, but if you're up and minded to it, this might be a quarterback pick.
43:59>> I I'm in. Yeah, I I think this is a fine range to take a quarterback. I think there are multiple guys who fit our build very
44:08well. There's not There's really only one running back I I have as like a target who would even be clickable in this range. Tell you what,
44:17here's something the FFP the the NFFC guys haven't figured out yet. I mean, J'Quan Barkley-Rush is just a starting running back for the Commanders. I I I actually
44:25didn't even realize he was on the board at our last pick. I I would have wanted him over Worthy probably actually.
44:31>> Yeah, we argued about this weeks ago and I was on the Rashad White end and I still think White's going to be a
44:36valuable like piece to have, but Stefon Diggs signing makes him less valuable and also it does feel like the drum beats are there where Chris Olave is
44:45going to going to be the one with the most carries for sure, probably the most touches and if the receiving work does
44:51go to Chris Olave, then he could be a really, really valuable pick. I think there's also an argument that you can
44:56draft both and it's a backfield that you can double tap because they're both falling. Yeah, and it's a good offense and all that.
45:02>> And Keaton >> [clears throat] >> does not look like he is a big part of the plans of their offense. He was
45:08getting carries in the third quarter with Athens Kalamankus as the as the quarterback for it for the economy.
45:15Robert Henry Jr. looked a lot better than him. Not not that surprising really.
45:19>> They said they might keep four running backs because they like Henry so much.
45:24I'm looking at >> a matter of of if he can play special teams, which I assume he can, but I I
45:28have no idea.
45:30>> I'm looking at team 12 and let's see what team nine and team 10 do.
45:37But looking at team 12, there's like an obvious correlation bet for them >> Mhm.
45:43>> that we might have to pull the trigger on Purdy if he's there.
45:48Cuz I think he's going to be gone to team 12 and I know it's really appealing to have Hurts, but Purdy in six point
45:55passing touchdowns I'm and we have a double bet on it.
45:59And there's Keaton Mitchell. I had him in the queue.
46:02>> That's a bummer. That was a would have been a nice That would have been a nice one.
46:05>> who I wanted. Yeah, that that would have been That would have been nice. Uh yeah, I think we do Purdy. There's actually
46:13I can't I can't believe that I'm about to say this, but I think Chuba Hubbard is in play for us here
46:20even even with Brooks. I mean >> He'll be there at the 11:02, though. I don't think the team in front of us is
46:24going to take him. I I just That's just my gut my gut feeling is people are just straight-up fading him. But if you do
46:30get sniped on him you're not going to be upset about it.
46:34>> like I not like that one's really going to bum me out too bad.
46:37>> Yeah, you're you're not going to lose your league cuz you didn't get him. But it is something to be said about
46:41double-tapping that backfield, and then that would allow us to sort of be essentially done at running back. And we could even
46:49grab Seth McGowan super late, and that could be our entire backfield if you wanted to go that way.
46:54Um >> Do you want to do Purdy here?
46:56>> I think it's Purdy over Hurts.
46:58>> Yeah.
46:59>> just because we have the double bet here in the six-point passing touchdowns. It feels weird, but let's take Purdy. It's
47:04fine.
47:04>> We we also could take both.
47:08>> We could take both, and that would sort of push it around.
47:12I like your idea of of of of Chuba Hubbard. I will say the the 12-11, there's going to be some quarterback
47:19picks there where you could get a appealing second No, you're not going to get Jalen Hurts out of it. But you're
47:24going to get a quarterback two that you like. Um and Mahomes falls like crazy in this format, too. And you have Xavier Worthy. You
47:33could get like a Purdy-Mahomes team, and Mahomes could be like free for us.
47:36I like the idea for for Chuba Hubbard, but I can go Hurts here. If if we take Hurts here, it eliminates the Goff bet.
47:44But Goff might be gone by the time you get to the 12-11 anyway, cuz somebody's going to pick their quarterback two.
47:51>> Uh there are also This is probably our last chance to get a week one tight ends. Okay, well, Kelce went. So, I was
47:58going to say there was a chance that we were going to get a week one tight end starter for Kittle if he is not cuz I
48:05think there's certainly a good chance that Kittle just stays in the states and rehabs that >> [clears throat] >> Achilles injury.
48:13>> I'm unless this guy takes Chuba at 12 here.
48:16I think team 12's going to take their quarterback here.
48:19Just my gut feel.
48:20>> Yeah. I mean, team team 12 should take Jalen Hurts. He's Team 12 and team one are the only teams that don't have a quarterback, right?
48:29So, he really he really should take Hurts, I I think by by quite a bit.
48:35>> He's got Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce, and he has uh you know, he's got Justin Jefferson if if he's on Kyler late. Kyler falls
48:43like crazy in this this 6-point passing touchdown format, and he takes Hurts.
48:49So, this is this is Chuba for us, I think. It's incredibly boring, but it's 11:02. We get Dave Canales' running back. The only nightmare scenario would
48:58be if it's a real split, but think about how many usable weeks you've had over the last couple years from Dave Canales'
49:03running backs, and you haven't had to worry about the split. Like last year, they embraced Rico for all those weeks.
49:08Maybe Jonathan Brooks goes down. Maybe Chuba Hubbard goes down.
49:12Um I think I think we take Yeah, Chuba's a nice run out here. I I'm not like trying to get a bunch of
49:17Chuba exposure, but I think this is a very tolerable double bet on the Carolina backfield.
49:24>> I can't even I can't even believe that I was like excited to make that pick, but uh yes, as as Willis says, I mean,
49:30sometimes you just got to eat your veggies.
49:33Chuba Hubbard Oh, look, I love Keaton Mitchell. Really, I do.
49:38Chuba Hubbard after Keaton Mitchell in a managed format is crazy, dude. Like Keaton is so much worse in managed versus best ball, like so much worse.
49:48Wha- Wha- I love Keaton. When are you ever going to start him, dude? I don't even like I don't even think it's one of those like
49:54uh like a Tank Bigsby thing. Like if the if the Eagles are ever 11 and 1/2 point favorites or something, sure. Throw
50:01throw Tank Bigsby in there.
50:03Come on, dude.
50:05Come on.
50:05>> The Keaton Mitchell receiving work, which is I know like you know I had Ben I know you obviously podcast with Ben Gretch a lot. I had Ben
50:12Gretch on and he's super bullish on Keaton Mitchell. I've been drafting Keaton Mitchell. The receiving work would have to be really really really
50:19consistent for us to really fully embrace him. I do think that if if Hampton missed time, Mitchell would be awesome for us. He could be like a 15
50:29point per game guy, but I don't know. It feels like he's going to be like average nine points a game and it's
50:35going to be really hard to This is sort of like the best ball mentality creeping into redraft a little bit where Keaton
50:42Mitchell I think in best ball is an awesome pick because you're you don't have to predict the spike weeks and I
50:46think the spike weeks will be there, but I think you can get burned starting him the wrong week like in the flex or RB2
50:52in some of these like a hero RB type builds, but I want access to him. I want access to a lot of Chargers, but he's
50:59going to start going in the ninth round, maybe higher in some of these FFPC main events and we're already seeing him like
51:04you said go ahead of Chuba Hubbard.
51:07I mean, Keaton Mitchell versus Jona Coleman's an interesting conversation, too, Davis because Coleman could potentially have that full on backfield at some point in the season and be like
51:17this year's Cam Akers at a boo, whereas if Hampton missed let's say Hampton got injured tomorrow, done for the season, it would be like a lot of Cam Akers
51:26Vidal with Keaton Mitchell. The touch volume for a guy like Jona >> Pat Bryant there. Little Pat Bryant in
51:37the 11th, yep.
51:38>> Pat Bryant is a very good pick. Denzel Boston goes, Deebo goes.
51:43Rashad White honestly actually could have been a a a fine clip for us. I just I think maybe and maybe this is really just me, maybe
51:51this is my best ball brain, but I I am like totally fine even in full PPR having some of these kind of chud
51:57running backs in in our flex. Like knowing that Jonathan Brooks or Hubbard, like knowing that Carolina's starting running back is probably going to be our
52:04flex starter most weeks is fine by me.
52:08Like I I think I would rather be in that situation than starting David Montgomery. Like a running back room of David Montgomery, Bucky Irving,
52:17JK Dobbins, Jonah Coleman is tough. That's tough. I I see I see zero league winners there. You know what I mean? You know what I'm saying? Like I
52:27like everyone loves Montgomery.
52:29I I am I am worried about David Montgomery. I'm worried he's just not any good anymore.
52:35>> I had to drop him. I I read today that Woody Marks was the one they there's they're practicing with the Raiders and
52:42Woody Marks had a really good day, scored a bunch of touchdowns. I was sort of laughing off those initial reports. I
52:48think a lot of people were, but I've had to drop David Montgomery a little bit. I do think it's going to be
52:53annoying usage from Woody Marks. I'm not like I guess I'm not I'm not full fading David Montgomery, but look at where you had to take him
53:02here at the at like the 507. It just feels like you're taking him ahead of Brian Thomas Jr., ahead of Chris Godwin,
53:10ahead of some of those and some of those running backs in round six. Like I am easily Quintez Judkins ahead of David
53:16Montgomery.
53:17Um I know people won't like that one, but I I like Quintez a lot this year. Sort of especially in the sixth round. You made
53:24the case for Jadarian Price. I think you can make a a case for Bucky Irving over him as well if there's going to be a
53:29split because Bucky's younger, Bucky can catch the ball and and I don't know the the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense is also easier to
53:36trust. Jacoby Lane at the 1202 here.
53:40>> There's always someone ready to buy Jacoby Lane at the 1202 in in high stakes managed. I mean, that is just
53:46absolutely classic. I'd Cyrus Allen probably going to go early as well.
53:51>> Caleb Douglas is going to go really soon, too. Caleb Douglas is Douglas is moving up in these formats, 100%.
53:56>> Douglas has got to be the worst one.
53:58Where like of all the risers, I'm like buying a little bit of of all the risers, but Douglas has got to be the
54:04worst one because it's just like even if Caleb Douglas is Randy Moss, he still might only get 800 yards, you know? Like
54:11the the the amount of projected dropbacks for the Miami Dolphins is some of the lowest I've ever seen.
54:18I I believe I think Jacob had this stat, it might have been might have been Ben.
54:22Um 23% of Malik Willis's career dropbacks have not resulted in a target, right? So, whether it be throwaway or scramble or sack or whatever. That
54:33that's like a preposterous ratio, like an insane amount.
54:37>> I want I'm higher on Devon Achane than a bunch of people who do fantasy content.
54:41I I still want access to Achane and are you open-minded to drafting Achane or are you are you ever uh drafting him
54:46over a couple of these running backs that you know, these round two guys? Are you are you open-minded on that one?
54:54>> Um I'm very open-minded to it. I I'm was all like I had him ranked at ADP pretty much the whole way anyways. Like
55:03I was not actively fading him, but I I kind of saw what I wanted to see in the preseason game, which was outside of having
55:10LaFleur call the plays, new new wide receivers, new play caller, all that stuff. He looked the exact same as we last saw him. Like throwing motion looks
55:18pretty good, decision-making seemed the same. They were happy to run the ball, you know, and and Malik Willis is happy for these like I think the touchdown
55:26drive was like nine plays, 10 plays, or whatever. It's like, "Okay, that's definitely what I wanted to see." Just being able to string together long
55:33drives. Like that's going to be huge cuz the thing with Willis is if he runs 115 times, but only scores twice, like two
55:41rushing touchdowns, that's really bad.
55:43If he scores seven, then we're talking.
55:45Now we're Now we're feeling really good.
55:48>> So, I have three guys in the queue. I know who you want to take, but I think that that player probably comes back
55:54around.
55:56>> Uh probably comes back around. I mean, Frank, your your whole queue is is guys that I like.
56:02>> Yeah. I think he comes back around.
56:05And I think it's Gosh, it's I mean, I would have liked Tank Bigsby there a lot. Tank Bigsby would have been
56:12fun.
56:12>> Bigsby there.
56:13>> But I think we've got to we've got to pull the trigger on the wideout if he's there. He's got a clear role.
56:20Um I've been drafting a ton of them. It's another guy who came up, but the the guy that we thought would be
56:26competing with him seems completely buried.
56:29I think if he's there, I think we pull the trigger. I'm worried he's going to get sniped.
56:34>> Uh fully could I mean, yeah, okay. I I think I think Adonai Mitchell is >> Yeah.
56:39>> This I I I would rather have Adonai Mitchell than some guys who went three rounds. I'd rather have Here Here you
56:45go. Here's a take.
56:47Adonai Mitchell is going to score more points than Jakobi Meyers in fantasy football this year.
56:54>> I don't think it's I don't think it's that spicy. Adonai Mitchell is >> Going Going after Jakobi Lane is crazy.
57:00>> I think I think Adonai Mitchell is is really, really good. I mean, people brought up things like focus, but he's
57:05going to be on the field the whole time.
57:07Omar Cooper is struggling against like Isaiah Williams.
57:10Uh and and we know that it's going to be a slow runout for Kanyon Sadeeq, cuz every time these guys miss time uh when
57:16they're rookies at tight end, they end up sort of getting punished and buried.
57:20I think we can take your guy next pick.
57:22Uh but I still think we're probably a three-tight-end build, and I'll bring up There's If we get your guy here at the
57:301302, then we have two free look guys at the position.
57:37>> Um >> not a bad place to be. Not a bad place to be.
57:39>> I think we I think we smash the button on my guy T Ferg here.
57:43>> Let's take T Ferg.
57:44>> And then I there there is there is a tight end going in like round 15 16 >> I cuz I just drafted with Mike Shope.
57:53And and it's yeah, it's your guy. It's your guy.
57:55>> there's there's that guy.
57:57There's actually another guy and I'm not going to say his name cuz I think you know, I think some of these guys in
58:03this league take fantasy football really seriously and I think some of them think they take fantasy football really seriously, but aren't actually in the
58:09weeds. There there is a third tight end that maybe this is a little bit more FFPC brand, but there is a there is a
58:17third tight end in in these formats that had six touchdowns last year and two 20-plus point games that people are are
58:27not drafting.
58:28>> I know you're talking about and he can be consideration for sure. I will say this league we're in um there's some
58:34really good drafters in this one cuz I draft against some of these guys in Vegas and some of these guys in New
58:39York. I'll give a big shout out to to my guy Matt Modica who's team three. Um he's actually drafting with Alan
58:46Seslowski and I. He'll be live on our stream over at Rotowire. We're doing another one of these drafts. I think that's on that's uh actually on Thursday
58:55we're doing that draft. But Matt has won a lot of money in this one.
58:59Um team one has won an overall. Team five has won a lot. Team six though uh I I I won't even reveal his name
59:08because you're not. But team six is part of a group of drafters who's literally in every single main event, every single
59:13350. There's like three guys splitting.
59:15They're all really really good drafters.
59:17Um but there's a bunch of guys in this league that uh that I know from from Vegas and from New York who are good
59:22drafters. So you didn't pick the easiest room here, Davis. I think when we when we called out people on online, I think
59:28you you you the sharks uh circled the circled, but we've done all right in this one. We've done all right.
59:33>> I'm I'm happy I'm happy to have them.
59:36I I mean, I'm I'm happy to I'm happy to fill these rooms. These are These Matinee ones are are hard to fill. So,
59:43I'm happy I'm happy to have them in the Matinee. And frankly, I'm just I'm happy to draft against anyone. I don't care. I mean, I
59:51>> Oh, yeah, 100%.
59:52>> In in in high stakes stuff, I I mean, I would basically say I'm I I feel good about my strategy. And
60:00And then it's Best Ball is Best Ball is like a totally different thing. It's like almost like a different I mean, it
60:04is like a different activity, but the ability to like manipulate the waivers and everything. I I feel just feel so good about high stakes stuff the last
60:12couple years.
60:13>> No, I'm with you. I mean, I think that you have to be open-minded to to different builds, but you it's a it's
60:18impossible like avoid drafters this day and age. Like I'm drafting a main with Scott Barrett tonight. This is the time when the good drafters come out. There's
60:25a couple of I mean, there's guys that really good drafters who draft in July who kind of just don't stop drafting,
60:31but then there's people who like selectively want as much information as possible and then literally don't stop drafting from like now until after those
60:39starts of the season. So, you're going to find hard rooms, but NFFC's awesome.
60:44I love playing in these drafts. Love the FFPC, too. This is the time of year you like getting in these like challenging
60:49drafts, and sometimes you end up with builds like I never thought we'd start off with Christian McCaffrey and Jonathan Taylor.
60:55JT in the at the 202, Davis. What What a run out.
60:58>> I'm not even a freaking running back guy, dude, but Jonathan Taylor at the 202 is crazy. It's crazy.
61:04I'm sorry, dude. He's scoring more points than Amari and Anthony. You know, it's just I don't even I don't even like
61:11that. I'm not I'm I'm the guy who likes young guys. I I like drafting I like drafting Keeton Mitchell, you know, like that's my that's my thing. I
61:19don't even like Jonathan Taylor, I have like less than 5% of him in in Best Ball. But, if he's if he's priced like
61:26this, yeah, I'm going to I'm going to take it.
61:29>> Where did Keenan Allen go in this one?
61:31I'm I'm not looking at the board, but I'm just curious what his run out was.
61:34>> Has he even gone yet?
61:36>> I think so.
61:37>> No, he hasn't.
61:38>> No.
61:39Which I'm surprised by. Like, some of the theoretical wide receiver bets versus Keenan who was like 11 and 1/2 points a game last year with better
61:49target out.
61:50>> with team team team six that's in every main event in all these drafts, they're drafting off a fantasy football magazine
61:54from July. Keenan's not Keenan's not in their rankings, dude.
61:57>> Keenan No, I think I think I think this draft is just an ages, but I will say team six though, the Amon-Ra St. Brown,
62:03Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Cole Kmet, Loveland start. Davis Maddock can get behind that start.
62:08>> Oh, I Yeah, I love I actually I actually think um the the triple wide receiver start is is nice. Uh Keenan Keenan is
62:17not gone. I'm I'm looking at him I'm looking at him in my queue right now.
62:21He's right there.
62:22Um >> There we go. There we go.
62:25>> You know, I I got to I got to say, I actually did not end up moving Olave that much in my rankings. I How how many
62:34more targets can he even get than what he was getting last year playing with those jabronis? And I And I think the
62:41Tyson share was not coming from Olave. It was coming from the jabronis. It was coming from It It was De'Von Achane, Breece Hall, Noah Fant,
62:52Oscar Delp, Juwan Johnson. Like, I I I I have a hard time moving him up too much.
63:00>> I mean, I have him I have him in I did I have him at 19 overall. So, I'm like way
63:04This is the one we're arguing about, but I think Olave I think is poised for just an awesome year. Mike Shope and I took
63:11him at the 302 in an FFPC main event. We had Bijan, Malik Nabers, Olave. But, like, when you look at the combination
63:19of target share and air yards, he was like one of three guys last year. And now with the Tyson run out, the
63:25offensive line's really good in New Orleans. He averaged 18.8 points per game with Tyler Shuck last year.
63:33And I think the quality of the offense like it started getting better at the end of last year. A lot of the pieces
63:38are going to be out there. I think like Bryce Lance, De'Von Achane, they're going to be out there now. Noah Fant
63:43still there. Juwan Johnson obviously still there. The running backs are going to get touches, but I think this is Chris Olave's show. And also Kellen
63:51Moore prints for for for wide receivers every year. So, I don't know. I think you should reconsider that one. Usually we're kind of in lockstep on a lot of
63:59wide receivers, but I I And I'm Scott Scott's the same way. I think Scott's going to have to capitulate. He had
64:05Chris Olave maybe even lower than you did.
64:07>> Olave Olave over Nabers is is [ __ ] crazy. Crazy.
64:12>> Well, I have them they're side by side for me. If I And again, I took Nabers ahead of Olave in my own draft. But I
64:19have them side by side. It's sort of like I just worry about Nabers that we end up still missing him for the first
64:24two weeks of the year. I know that's not the way it's shaking out, but I can always sort of move him up at the last
64:28minute. But I think they're similar tier for me this year. I think I think Nabers obviously the higher ceiling, but the
64:36injury re-aggravation, Olave played every game last year. I don't know. I think they're both very very good picks.
64:42I think we're Davis, do you want to go with the correlation play on Worthy here as our QB2 or you want to push it?
64:49>> No, let's let's just take him. Let's just take him now because this will actually probably end up working out.
64:54We'll take Mahomes and then after every 49ers player has died after a month of the season, Mahomes will be worked his
65:02way back from his knee injury and their bye week is week five. So, after you know, Mike Evans has cooked his cooked
65:09his leg and De'Jean Stribling has gotten sub stations. We'll We'll feel We'll feel really good about Also, Mahomes is We should get the information about if
65:19he is startable or not.
65:22Two weeks, three weeks? Like either either the passing offense looks really good and it's like fully insane that Mahomes is available in the 14th round
65:30or it's it's more of the same and we're not starting him and we're dropping worthy.
65:36>> Yeah, I'm I'm with you on that. I mean, we're at pick 170 here. So, it's sort of like whoever you want. I put one guy in
65:43the queue that I think is interesting.
65:44>> your running back is a total gem. Your running back is a is a mega gem.
65:49>> Yeah, it's a smash pick, I think it at this point if he's still there.
65:53And I I I know you're you'll be very grossed out by the other guy, but if you're total fade of of his his the wide receiver playing
66:00opposite, then therefore you have to be open-minded to this one.
66:03>> I'm I'm just in in redraft leagues, I'm not selecting Miami Dolphins receivers.
66:07They are They are They I I would rather I would rather take uh I don't know, what's the most funny name I could say
66:13right now? I would rather take Troy Franklin than any Dolphins receiver, I think. Seriously.
66:20What What am I What am I hoping for?
66:22>> take the You'd rather take the wide receiver four.
66:24>> [ __ ] >> Okay, so Bralon Allen goes. So, now we're we're sort of stuck here. Um >> Can I Can I nominate the same Can I
66:31nominate Raheem Davis instead?
66:32>> Raheem Davis is fine. I mean, or do we want to consider a San Francisco cuff? We Those guys will come back. I think Raheem Davis is fine.
66:40>> I think we should take If we want one of those If we want one of them, we should take them now.
66:45>> I don't see I don't have a >> One of them doesn't get back.
66:48>> One of them probably does get back and I think it's a 50/50 coin flip on the two.
66:52I know a lot of people on James. I think we take Raheem Davis. We get access to a really good offense and a
66:57I mean, he's he's in the lineup any week that that James Cook misses.
67:01So, I think that one's fine. Bre- Bralon Allen should probably be going about two rounds earlier with the with the Hall
67:07run out.
67:08>> I think like I don't obviously don't think it's like insane stupid for you to want Malik Washington there. But, these
67:15>> want to I want to stress I'm not a Malik Washington guy, but it's a full-time wide receiver and Davis you already said
67:20Caleb Douglas.
67:22We got Greg Dulcich, we're not believing in either of those. And then we got this run out here where Malik Washington
67:27>> of believe in Dulcich. Actually, Dulcich would be Dulcich would be my pick of the group just because he's at tight end and
67:33the the border for scoring matters. Uh like it is lower at tight end. But, this is what I anticipate the wide receiver
67:41room looking like.
67:42If you cut out Quez Watkins, well, you cut out Kevin Coleman Jr. and you kind of just center it on Malik Washington,
67:49Caleb Douglas, and Chris Bell, then sure. I just I think this is going to be Um what's a good comp to this? It's like
67:57um Do you remember the the the Buccaneers at the end of the Jameis era? They were just like they were throwing any damn
68:03buddy out there, you know, Breshad Perriman on on team three. Like uh the commander actually the Commanders last year. There's there's a good comp. The
68:11Commanders last year where you were like, "Holy [ __ ] Traylon Burks is still in the NFL?" That's what I think it's
68:17going to be like. I think you're going to have a bunch of dudes who are like $3,800 on DraftKings and and you don't
68:22even really want to play them.
68:24>> I think it's worth taking Malik Washington just to see if they're like scheming him up in in week one, week
68:30two. I when you look at sort of the the pedigree of the player, I was sort of a sucker for him when he was coming out of
68:36Virginia. He had that insane year where he had like a hundred and I think it was like a hundred and fifteen catches,
68:42something absolutely wild.
68:43>> I I I I liked him as a prospect. Just the the what we have seen from him in the NFL
68:50has not been good.
68:52>> You're never going to be excited about about using him.
68:55Um and agree and agreed that uh I don't think he was really a Mike McDaniel type of of wide receiver out
69:02there, a sort of a I don't know. It seemed like a bad fit, but the the new it's sort of just
69:07opportunity knocks for him. Could he end up having like one year which is sort of like an out of nowhere one. And when
69:12again when we get to the round 15, you're talking about taking him alongside like Juwan Jennings who might be like the wide receiver four in
69:19Minnesota. Um Flournoy is a fun pick in this format because he's got so much contention.
69:24>> Flournoy is a fun pick.
69:25>> Keenan's Keenan's a really fun pick, too. Keenan I think this is too low for Keenan Allen.
69:30This is too low for Braelon Allen. Um for I think those those guys. And then Brian Robinson's actually interesting because he's just a like a pure
69:39contingent upside in your lineup type guy for where there's really no real threat from the running back three. But Brian Robinson continues to go in like
69:47round 14, round 15 in all these formats.
69:50He's like the boring running back. Like all these guys like Mike Washington have moved ahead of them cuz they showed a
69:55little juice in the preseason, but Brian Robinson, we know Tyler Allgeier mixed in last year.
70:01Um and I think if Bijan missed like three weeks, you'd actually be perfectly fine starting Brian starting Robinson.
70:07>> stone cold start out running back. Yeah.
70:10>> have a 14 points every single week from him.
70:13>> Yes.
70:14Um yeah, I got I got no issue with that. I like these running backs that all just this is a good range. I'm not taking
70:20Tracy now.
70:21Um Singleton, Clayborn I like. I I think I think Najee is very very bad for Tracy and for Scataboo. No one No one wants to
70:31hear that on Scataboo. Dude, it is so bad for him. Najee Najee was started over Hampton for the same OC last year,
70:40dude. It's crazy.
70:42>> Greg Roman absolutely loves him.
70:44Uh it's a it's a terrible terrible run out for for Scataboo. It could also it could it could be a complete mess
70:50backfield. Then you also factor in like a lot of the and I don't know David's your thoughts on this. Like know, like Matt Nagy
70:58the the unwillingness to use a quarterback right around the goal line, but you also have then Harbaugh and Roman in that room who let Lamar sort of
71:06cook for years and years on on uh, scoring situations as a runner. Jackson Dart, if he stays upright, could also just fall in the end zone a bunch of
71:14times and lead all quarterbacks in rushing touchdowns. So, you have so many nightmare scenarios. I agree with you, Scat Abu's got to come down in a major
71:21way. I think it could end up being like a weird, ugly split. I wonder if, because Devin Singletary is still there,
71:28is there an outside chance you see Tyron Tracy get traded? And he still has a little bit of value to you drafting him
71:34because of the potential he gets traded somewhere. It just feels like like that block it was like the worst possible thing to ever happen. The misblock.
71:42>> Well, so it was not good, but like there was also this reporting today. I want to say this was Duggan. I don't think it was Jordan
71:49Ronan. That the visit was pre-planned and it didn't have anything to do, which you might say, "Oh, that's good." That's good. No, that's bad. If it's true, it's
71:59bad because it means they were planning on bringing someone in anyway, which means they were like, "Okay, well, we don't have enough in this running back
72:05room." To to think that Najee Harris, when you already have Devin Singletary, like you're you're going, "Okay, we already have Devin Singletary, but we
72:14need to bring in Najee Harris." That is that is poorly reflective on Scat Abu and Tracy.
72:21It's not good for them.
72:23>> Yeah, no, I'm with you. It's kind of a mess of an offense right now except for Neighbors. Um, I know I was higher than
72:30you guys on Isaiah Likely and we had some like weird usage in in the preseason game one with multiple tight ends mixing in the first game.
72:38>> is it is it that weird or is that just what Isaiah Likely is?
72:42>> It is it is what he was, but I mean I didn't think we'd see that this year. I was I was like I remember getting into
72:47big arguments with like Ryan Heath when we were doing like our initial projections at Fantasy Points and and uh I don't know Isaiah likely felt like
72:55this was the year for us and again we don't want to overreact. This could have been they just wanted to see a
72:59particular package and Isaiah likely I still think does have a lot of contingent upside if Neighbors misses time. But if they're mixing in like
73:07multiple other tight ends with the first team offense and we don't get Isaiah likely even on the field in like 11 or
73:14anything like that. Um it could be a complete mess for him especially with a lot of people holding shares where he
73:20was going like right alongside George Kittle in a lot of those early drafts.
73:22So that's definitely been a run out.
73:24There goes Malik Washington. The the dream is dead in round 16 for us Davis.
73:28You you avoid this one. I was going to make you take him if we got here.
73:32>> I would have I would have I would have taken him here.
73:35Um >> I think it's the defense I have if he's on. I think we take the defense because they have a good week one match up and
73:41I think we just take him.
73:43Um >> Fine fine by me. I The only The only defenses I know is that the Chargers have that not run out the first two
73:50games. The The Cardinals and the Raiders. That's That's all I know.
73:53>> They They definitely do. Jacksonville is Cleveland week one.
73:57Um I think they're they're That's just a fun a fun anti-Deshaun Watson bet. Maybe we get two pick sixes in that one.
74:04And then we're sort of wide open here in round 17. I don't see a any sort of an edge at the kicker position.
74:12Uh wide receiver-wise it's a it's a bunch of bunch of backups here. I'll throw one guy in the wide receiver room just because the I think
74:21there's some >> Yep.
74:22>> injury run out has been kind of poor with you.
74:25>> That's what I was going to do. I just I I think that I I'm a little less into Jeremey in best
74:33ball than some of my my cohorts. Like they have a drafting like 35% of this guy in the 18th round which I don't even
74:38think is bad. I just am not doing it.
74:40But in redraft I just feel like I can't even remember the last time we weren't charged for a second round wide
74:46receiver. I literally cannot think of a second round wide receiver who was just free in drafts.
74:51>> Yeah.
74:51>> I'm sure there's been one, but I don't remember.
74:55>> I'm with you. And and he was good last year and and also we've had these injuries. I think people are caring and
75:01then we get sniped on Ka'imi Fairbairn anyway. So the running back we had in the queue is gone. I guess we
75:07theoretically could take Jordan James here, but I think that Jeremy Bernard would >> He's gone.
75:11>> Yeah. He's gone.
75:12>> Jeremy. There we go.
75:13>> Some somewhere somewhere Jordan James went I >> No, Jordan James Jordan >> Oh, well, never mind.
75:18>> It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Um but Jeremy Bernard, it's worth a shot and I think we'll know The only problem
75:24with Jeremy Bernard is I feel like you want to hold him for like the first 3 weeks of the year and we're probably
75:27just going to cut him week one and end up hitting that waiver wire. It's always like the mad dash for the week one
75:33waiver wire in NFFC. But we can probably tolerate Jeremy Bernard and hold him for two or three weeks depending on what we
75:39do uh these final rounds.
75:42>> Yeah, I think you're I think you're right. I think this team is cooking. I I feel very I feel very good about this
75:48team. We just need frankly we need one hit out of Tate, Cephus, Worthy, Mitchell. That's it. We need We need one of those guys to be startable
75:59every single week and then we need really we just need one of the Panthers backs to win out over the other. It It
76:07just It doesn't actually matter which one, but if we don't get a winner there, we're going to It's going to feel tough.
76:12>> Just don't be a 50/50 split and be what we've seen every other year with Dave Canales' offenses where you get one guy
76:19who's really really fun to have on your roster and putting up good numbers and then we're we're we're cooking for sure.
76:25>> Yeah. Yeah.
76:27Um I'm trying to think what else Well, so I think we definitely think we need one more tight end. I was going to say
76:33we should take Darren Waller, but I actually think in this format that is way too fancy. Like we're going to be
76:37able to take like Dalton Schultz at our next pick.
76:39>> Well, yeah, and then also the guys we have in the queue um are both appealing because we have the free look.
76:47>> Ooh, that's so true.
76:49>> And we already have Yeah, I mean honestly taking both wouldn't be the worst play and watch the first game of
76:54the year and then you pick up your guy because you're going to get the the game where again, it's it's it seems kind of ugly and low
77:04EV, but that's your your 19th and 20th round pick anyway.
77:08You get to the free look. You could have the two Rams tight ends.
77:12>> Four four free look tight ends might be the meta. Maybe that's maybe that's the meta this year. Like I just because
77:18there there's what? There's three first look games, is that right?
77:21>> There's two first look games. There's no Friday game this year. So we would we would we would have unless you want to
77:27go throw out an Eli Rerdon in there and sort of fade this and fade Parkinson.
77:32You could end up with with three free look tight ends here.
77:35Essentially three situations. I think also Tonje's if George Kittle doesn't play could end up being a guy who catches What's the score for for Tonje's that
77:45you keep him in the lineup? Uh I mean we're going to see him We're going to see him against Ferguson anyway. So we would know.
77:51>> 12.
77:52>> Yeah, so if we had No, so Rerdon would play on Wednesday. So Rerdon plays Wednesday and then we would have the run
77:59out with Ferguson and Kittle already. If we had Tonje's in the mix with then we would end up with we could bench Rerdon.
78:06So there's a chance Rerdon catches two touchdowns, too. There's a lot of potential weird situations in in week one. Um we're getting a little little
78:13ahead of ourselves with some of these free looks, but I think all those guys are fun picks.
78:18And we got to get our kicker.
78:19>> Rerdon Rerdon is a fun free look that I hadn't even I hadn't even started to think about. He's fun.
78:27Arroyo Arroyo is another fun fun free look. I mean lot of lot of tight end fun free looks. It's cuz you can just tell
78:34yourself anything about a tight end. The the border uh or the boundary for for a usable tight end week is so low. Um so yeah,
78:42it's it's very fun to do.
78:43>> I've been taking Torrey Horton as the free look fun fun guy like late. Just the chance that we get like a
78:51two catch 65 yard, but they both go for touchdowns for Torrey Horton in that in that first game. So, I don't know. I
78:58chasing a lot of these guys and I'll throw one guy in the queue that actually might have been taken. Let me
79:03uh There's one guy that's sort of late and sort of makes sense for our build.
79:07Throw him in there.
79:08>> I'm trying to think if there's any free look wide receiver I mean Horton is I guess you could do rare I'm trying to think if there's a
79:17Patriots wide receiver that is or Rams.
79:20I mean you could you know what? Here's one that I don't even know if this guy still uh lives. Christian Kirk as a free
79:27look wide receiver. I haven't I have not heard a word about this guy. I have no idea how healthy he is.
79:32Um but he he would be a with all the other wide receiver injuries, he's kind of interesting, too.
79:37>> I I I would rather take a shot on the tight ends. I I think uh I don't know. I can't really see a run
79:43out where Kirk is going to have a really big week one that we even start him.
79:46>> Dude, he had a I Okay, I completely forgotten this. He had a 30 fantasy point game in the playoffs this last year.
79:55>> He did. I will say I like I look in the chat. Um we actually got a more fun free look
80:01sort of Yeah, Demarcus Robinson.
80:03Demarcus Robinson is the more fun I think that that's more fun look.
80:07>> If you guys have never played in these contests before, basically because there are still drafts happening on Friday and Saturday of these big fantasy football
80:16tournaments, games that are played on before that, so generally there's a Thursday night football game, sometimes there's a Friday game, this year it's
80:22Wednesday and Thursday, you get the chance to move players in and out of your starting lineup while knowing their points. So, for example,
80:30we took Terrance Ferguson. Ferguson scores two touchdowns on Wednesday. We know we can start him. If Ferguson doesn't play, stinks, whatever, only has
80:38one catch, then we can sub him out and put whoever this third tight end we draft is um as our as our starting tight
80:46end.
80:47>> Yeah, it's a it's a it's a really really fun way to play and it sort of uh it sort of makes like the last final
80:54rounds like even more fun that puts more guys in the mix and you also have to do the mad dash for actually doing waivers
81:00like that early waiver wire run is always like really really frantic. So, a lot of fun stuff with it for sure.
81:07So, we are set at defense. We need a kicker and then we have two players. So, I'm wide open here in round 18. I put one guy in the queue
81:15though that I think he's gone. Never mind.
81:18So, Seth Seth McGowan would have been a would have been a nice round out.
81:23>> he would have been. He would have been a good pick.
81:25>> would have been good. He's been getting drafted uh in these formats and in FFPC like way way more often.
81:33But, >> I tell you what I tell you what I need to check the Lions schedule, but I always like the Lions kicker because
81:41they get the dome games. They the issue is is we drop them right away because they go against the Bills.
81:48Uh who else do we have here? Fort 49ers free look on the free look on the kicker.
81:53>> the I like the free look kicker Detroit.
81:56I take Detroit a lot for kicker.
81:58Uh we could also just lock in our guy here if you we want to sort of get that handcuff option with We like two kick We
82:06like two kickers. So, why don't we push kicker around?
82:09>> Okay, let's do Tanjeh.
82:10>> Yeah, let's take Tanjeh a little early, but we do have Kittle.
82:14>> Okay, I can't remember how this works.
82:16So, let's say these guys all blow on Wednesday or Thursday. Can we we can add another tight end.
82:23>> You can you can send Tanjeh to the waiver wire and you can pick up another tight end for sure.
82:29>> Yeah, okay. It's been It's been Well, it's been a year since I've done since I've done these for >> Did you Did you just Did you just talk
82:36yourself into And the chat is also reminding you that the weather's not going to be bad in Buffalo.
82:43in September >> just It's just not a good match up though. It's like It's not It's It's not a It's not a match up that I would
82:48anticipate them to be scoring. Like I Well, really I only And also even Jared Goff indoor outdoor doesn't doesn't even matter doesn't even matter
82:58if the weather's nice. Goff Goff indoor outdoor splits are crazy.
83:03>> And you are going to be able to drop a player who's already already played. Um so this is this is would not be a
83:08problem. So do you want to take our kicker here and then just push it around to round 20?
83:14>> Yeah, let's take the 49ers and then just see where we're kind of all in on the 49ers. And I guess we can actually
83:19decide between Purdy and Mahomes anyway.
83:24Um >> 100% That that first game is going to be is going to be very tilting.
83:28You know, we hope for a run out where it's like two touchdowns. Can you see a scenario where as like all these people
83:34fade Christian McCaffrey he falls to the 12 and then he scores like three touchdowns in that opening game and then Saturday in Vegas it's the big
83:43correction and Christian McCaffrey goes 101.
83:47>> I mean, I basically assume that is what's going to happen.
83:51>> And then he gets injured in in week four.
83:53>> And then he gets injured in week four.
83:55>> Yeah. So free look is only week one and it's only for two games. You don't get the entire slate. It's only for the The
84:02reason they do it is cuz we're drafting.
84:05So if you go out to the Vegas NFFC and FFPC drafts there's drafts on Wednesday.
84:11There's a game Wednesday. Then there's drafts on Thursday game Thursday. So both of those games and then there's tons of drafts Friday and Saturday. So
84:18it's It basically just adds another wrinkle. But you always see these crazy ADP changes after the games like after the big openers. Like Davis, there was
84:28the Amari Cooper year where it was like the Tom Brady Dak Dak Prescott game where it was like a super high-scoring
84:33game. And Amari Cooper went like sixth overall after that game when he was like a third-rounder before. Isaiah Likely, when he had the smash week against
84:43Kansas City a couple years ago in FFPC, he was like the 211.
84:47>> living off that game, brother.
84:49>> I know. That's That's the clip. And whenever you want to do something hyped for Isaiah Likely, you show him doing
84:54like the nasty juke move in the open field. That was That was the game for him. That was the Isaiah Likely the
84:59candle always always being burnt. And we're keeping a candle burning for Isaiah Likely once he hits free agency because of that game. So, that's the
85:06game right there.
85:07>> People still think he scored two touchdowns in that game, by the way. I I've realized this like people like, "Oh, Likely." It's like, "Yeah, they
85:14think he scored two touchdowns in that game even though he only scored one."
85:17>> The end of the game that was really close on that on that that catch at the end. I mean, he was feeling right
85:21outside of the yeah.
85:23>> That's why That's why you wear white cleats, buddy.
85:25>> There you go. There you go.
85:27>> Yeah.
85:28Uh all right, round 20.
85:30Here's some guys I like in in round 20.
85:33Uh Ali Gordon.
85:35>> Gone. I've been taking Ali Gordon. I like him a lot.
85:38>> Najee Harris I I think is is legitimately clickable.
85:41Um very unfashionable, but Elijah Serratt for the Baltimore Ravens.
85:46I would have said before today Tyquan Thornton, but he is dead now.
85:50This was sneaky. Did not see very many people pick up on this one.
85:54Tank Dell, not expected to play week one.
85:57Jaylen Nowell, who we were just told yesterday has a hamstring injury, already back at practice.
86:03>> So, then I think Jaylen Nowell's a a fine pick here. Isn't Jaden Higgins also dealing with a little something?
86:09>> Yes, he I don't know what cuz I was on a show, but he got injured today in practice. And I Is there a chance Jordan
86:16James is still here? No. Also, another one, James Conner.
86:20James Conner waiting for that trade to the Detroit Lions.
86:23>> It would make sense. It would make sense that he gets traded, but I think now that um now now that Jeremiah Love sort of has
86:29the high ankle, they're probably more likely just going to keep James Conner just to be annoying. So, yeah.
86:36>> We >> Final pick. Always fun one.
86:38>> Week week four trade instead of week one?
86:41>> I think Naji your your your mind is in the right place with just draft Naji Harris here and there's a chaos a chaos
86:48chaos scenario where he ends up being usable this year, but he's like the ugliest usable running back on the board. It's like a complete split. Scat
86:56back goes down, how much will people be spending on Naji Harris in in fab?
87:01>> Uh Naji 12 carries two catches week one.
87:04He goes for $387 of fab in this league.
87:08>> That's right. That's right. And he ends up with like the the most ugly compiler season ever. He finishes like the
87:15running back 30, um but he gets a bunch of starts would be sort of the run out.
87:20>> Or the other thing we could do is instead of um instead of just [ __ ] around with tight end, we just take whatever tight
87:29end we think we might want to start in week one if all of these guys suck, which is by the way
87:35very very possi- very real possibility all these guys have less than 10 points.
87:40>> I mean, yeah. I I look at the the tight ends. It's it's pretty beat up. I think Muth uh would be sort of a pick.
87:49>> Yeah, Muth or Ingram probably.
87:51>> Yeah, I think Muth would probably be the pick for me.
87:54But again, you can just go add him after the game.
87:57I I think if you want to go with a free look like I like your idea with Jaylen Nowell. I like the idea with just
88:04another free look with Colby Parkinson and just cut him. But if you want to go Muth here, it's fine, too. And then we
88:09could just drop Tonja just after the game if he doesn't play. And we get sniped in in the uh 20th round here.
88:15>> I love I love getting sniped in the in the 20th round. Um Dude, I mean, this is real gross. Calvin
88:22Ridley.
88:24>> Very It's too gross. It's way too gross.
88:26I I we can't do it. We can't We can't stain this team with Calvin Ridley 20th round.
88:30>> give me you give me the you give me the pick, brother.
88:33>> Uh if you want another free look, we go Parkinson. It's getting a little cute.
88:37I'll I think we just go >> You know what? That's just cute enough.
88:41That's actually That's actually And you know what? It's actually always hard to to cut a guy for me. I always have a
88:48hard time cutting guys after week one, like deciding like who to cut. We're going to know exactly who to cut, and
88:54it's going to be Tonjan and Parkinson.
88:55They're They're gone. They're out. And we can even cut them before the start of the season.
88:59>> Yeah, we want to get that free look though. I mean, if if George Kittle goes down with a awful injury during the game or
89:05something, you're going to have that that Tonjan just going in there. It's just going to make make week one pretty fun. But, I like the way this team ran
89:11out. The last couple of rounds, we sort of got sniped. It would have been nice if we got the Braylon Allen pick there.
89:18Um it would have been I mean, for me, I think Jeremey is a is a good bet to make, especially with all it takes is
89:23one injury uh to Pittman or Metcalf, and I think Jeremey's really viable in NFFC.
89:28I don't buy into the Roman Wilson stuff.
89:31And then I like the free looks. It's free look kicker, free look tight end.
89:34Uh and I think Jacksonville has a good week one match-up. So, we did pretty well with this team. I don't know if
89:38Mitchell, that's the pick that I think hit us right in the face. And I think that one actually really helps us a ton
89:43cuz we had to play catch-up at wide receiver. And I think I don't know if I is is just underrated in in a lot of
89:48formats.
89:50>> Yep.
89:51All right, final team.
89:52We have got Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor, DeVonta Smith, Jameson Williams, Carnell Tate, George Kittle. Our flex starter is going
89:59to be Jonathan Brooks or Chuba Hubbard.
90:01Team kicker, 49ers. Jacksonville Jaguars, Casey Concepcion, Xavier Worthy, Chuba Hubbard, Adonai N I Mitchell, Terrance Ferguson, Patrick Mahomes, Ray Davis, Jeremy Bernard, Jake
90:11Tanjis, Colby Parkinson. Believe it or not, this is actually the first time that I've gotten T Ferg in one of these
90:16high-stakes formats because people either snipe me or my co-managers are not as sharp as you and they're not they're they don't get it. They don't
90:23see the vision.
90:24>> Well, there we go. We're going to be running it back on on my channel, RotoWire YouTube. Davis is going to be
90:29joining me. Not sure if we're going to do FFPC or NFFC. We might just run it back with another NFFC. I think next
90:35week, Davis. Let's get that on the books.
90:38>> You know what, Theo? I've got another ticket because mine last week didn't fill, so you let me know when you want
90:42to do it and that one's on me.
90:45>> Awesome. We're going to we're going to run it back twice. So, make sure you And if you're not hitting that like button
90:49and subscribe button for Davis's channel, Davis is cooking this summer.
90:53And then also come check out RotoWire YouTube. I'm doing a live main event with Scott Barrett tonight at 7:00 p.m.
90:59Eastern in less than 90 minutes and we got the fourth pick. So, I love that one. Scott cannot get get me to take
91:05Christian McCaffrey with that pick. I'm going to get Puka Nacua or Brock Bowers.
91:09Who Who you on there, Davis, at the four spot in NFFC?
91:12>> Bowers.
91:12>> Bowers for me. I'm going to have to fight him cuz I took I've been taking Bowers in like these you know, the best
91:17ball contests in 350s, especially with the potential Puka suspension. But, Puka Nacua is like Mr. Fantasy points this year. A lot of their projections guys
91:26just absolutely love him and I know Scott does, too. Scott loves Bowers, too, though. So, it's not like a huge argument, but it'll be Puka or Bowers.
91:34Not a bad way to start it off.
