0:00Very first mock draft of the year on
0:01Sleeper, which is one of the most
0:02popular fantasy football platforms. We
0:04are drafting out of the 1.5
0:06in a 12-team PPR league, very standard
0:09roster settings here. Got a little bit
0:10lucky versus the computer. We are going
0:12to take Puka Nacua as our first pick.
0:14Obviously, when you start elite wide
0:16receiver in fantasy football, the way
0:18that you were going to think about
0:19constructing your team is going to be a
0:21little bit differently. So, I need to
0:22have my head on a swivel here in terms
0:24of elite running backs. I am noticing
0:26Ashton Jeanty is a very low average
0:28draft position. I'm I'm hoping they fix
0:30that quite early. I am not going to look
0:32a gift a gift horse in the mouth. I
0:34mean, you can see the top click here
0:35looking at the Flock Fantasy tool is
0:37definitely Devon Achane. Would I be like
0:40a little bit concerned about the Miami
0:41Dolphins being a bad offense? Sure.
0:43Would I be a little bit concerned about
0:45Achane maybe not playing in the fantasy
0:47football postseason because the Dolphins
0:48are so bad? Sure. But, there's no way
0:50I'm taking I mean, I would definitely
0:52never take Jeremiah Love over Devon
0:54Achane. Huge gift here, A.J. Brown
0:56available in the third round. Oh!
0:59A.J. Brown or do I want to take Rashee
1:01Rice? No, I'm going to take I'm actually
1:04going to take
1:06Derrick Henry also interesting. I mean,
1:08A.J. Brown is the top. By the way, if
1:09you want this overlay that I have there
1:11in the right corner, the Flock Fantasy
1:13one for your draft, you can sign up over
1:16on Flock Fantasy using code Davis. That
1:18is available with our season pass tool,
1:21which is only 34 bucks. So, you can sign
1:23up there. So, I have two elite wide
1:25receivers, one very strong running back.
1:27I'm not even a big Javonte Williams guy.
1:30Looks like he's second by our rankings
1:32right now. DeVonta Smith would be first.
1:35Mhm. I also like Ladd McConkey here and
1:38I know that I'm going to probably like
1:39the running backs coming Let's take
1:41Javonte.
1:42Let's take Javonte. There's honestly
1:44nothing worse in a 12-team PPR league
1:46than having a running back two that you
1:48absolutely hate. And I have a pretty
1:50strong feeling that Scat [ __ ] Judkins,
1:52one of these guys, is going to be
1:53available. And I am correct. Looks like
1:55Scat [ __ ] is buried in the default
1:58rankings on Sleeper as well. We are much
2:00higher on Scatabooboo on Tooton. So, we
2:03add in Cam Scatabooboo as our third
2:05running back. So, maybe an argument that
2:06instead of Javonte, I should have taken
2:08Ladd or I g buka knowing that I mean
2:11I've been saying this in all my videos
2:12on the channel that those fifth round
2:14running backs, your De'Andre Swift's,
2:16your Tootons, your Scatabooboos. This
2:17Harvey ADP, I mean there's no chance
2:20Harvey goes there at the 5.8 in any
2:23serious fantasy football league. But, we
2:25also have the option now. We could take
2:27Tucker Kraft or Kyle Pitts, Darian
2:29Price. Brian Thomas Jr. is the highest
2:32by my rankings. I wouldn't have even
2:34noticed he was there. What I'm going to
2:36do though is I'm going to take Christian
2:38Watson cuz again, Brian Thomas Jr. looks
2:40like someone who's buried in the
2:41rankings. I mean, how useful is that
2:43tool there in the right-hand corner? I
2:44would not have noticed. Very, very
2:46useful to see who's just kind of buried
2:48in the default applet there. Again,
2:51Judarian Price still available.
2:54I mean, I don't even Is that right? Is
2:57that right that he's still there? I
2:58mean, Judarian Price is at 132 in the
3:01Sleeper app. All right, that is
3:03officially the worst price that I have
3:04seen on any of these mock drafting
3:06platforms, Yahoo, CBS, ESPN. That is
3:09absolutely egregious. I would have
3:12I mean, I would take Judarian Price in
3:14the seventh round in every single draft
3:16I did on Sleeper knowing how buried he
3:18is there. Looks like Alec Pierce or
3:20Parker Washington or QJ is kind of the
3:23option here. Do I want to potentially
3:25take a quarterback?
3:28Looks like all the kind of the elite
3:29quarterbacks are gone. Let's take Parker
3:32Washington who is the second highest
3:34wide receiver. Alec Pierce is actually
3:36below Parker Washington in my rankings
3:39if we sorted this column by just the
3:41Davis Mattek ranks. Quarterback also an
3:44option here. We can definitely back
3:46stack Purdy. Tight end is looking pretty
3:48thin. We missed the elite group of tight
3:51ends. So, let's go ahead and add in
3:54Let's do Purdy. I I would consider Purdy
3:57kind of the perfect guy to add in the
3:59quarterback window in general. You know,
4:02I did that video on the quarterback
4:04window rounds eight, rounds nine, round
4:0610. You want a quarterback who can run a
4:08little bit. We know that Purdy is going
4:09to add in a little bit of scrambling.
4:11Obviously, had the crazy week 17 game.
4:14Quinton Johnston still available. Rashad
4:16White. Do I need Rashad White? I have
4:18Achane, Javonte Williams and price. I do
4:20not need Rashad White. I probably want
4:23to start looking at the tight end
4:24position. Perfect here. We are going to
4:26get Travis Kelce who is like the
4:28greatest backstop tight end in fantasy
4:31football history. Is he going to have a
4:32legendary fantasy football season this
4:34year? I mean, no chance, right? He He
4:36definitely isn't, but he is going to
4:38just be a nice cromulent option at the
4:41position. Now, we are going to add one
4:43Mr. Josh Downs who is all the way at
4:45145.
4:47Wow. I I mean,
4:48I'll tell you what, if I had my home
4:50league draft tomorrow and all I had was
4:53the Flock Fantasy tool, I mean, I feel
4:55like I probably would have just easily
4:57won my fantasy football league just
4:59knowing that it could highlight all the
5:01inadequacies of the rankings that are
5:03just set there on Sleeper. Now, with
5:06Travis Kelce, I do think you want to
5:08take another tight end a huge chunk of
5:10the time.
5:12Let's do Well, I guess let's just go
5:14ahead and take Rashad White who is
5:15buried there at 157. Rashad White would
5:17be a big target of mine. But, when you
5:19take Kelce, I do think you want to add
5:21in one of these other guys. Tight ends
5:23are going very early here in this mock
5:25draft just the way things are set up. Uh
5:28Chigo Okonkwo, I really like as a second
5:30tight end option. I feel like he's a
5:31great pairing with someone like Kelce,
5:33with someone like Mark Andrews, with
5:35someone even like A.J. Barner or K.J.
5:37Hamler cuz I think he is going to get to
5:39that 65-70% route share for the
5:42Commanders, which is quite nice. Um wow,
5:45Jonathan Brooks also absolutely buried
5:48here. I mean, why is how far did
5:51Jonathan Brooks is at 180 on Sleeper? I
5:54mean, my goodness. We are we are abusing
5:56the default rankings here. I also won't
5:58take a kicker or a defense in a redraft
6:00league. I would basically never do that.
6:03Matthew Golden still available, Hunter
6:05still available, Chris Rodriguez still
6:07available. Well, I mean, come on, we are
6:09going to you know, we are going to take
6:10Matthew Golden there. So, we got our
6:12team wrapped up. I mean, obviously your
6:15league with your buddies is not going to
6:17be this easy, but man, if it if it was,
6:22boy, would fantasy football on Sleeper
6:24be easy this year. So, let's take a look
6:26at what we drafted.
6:28Our team, we started with Puka Nacua. We
6:30took him over JSN or Jonathan Taylor,
6:33very strong there. We were able to get
6:35Devon Achane at the 2.8. Now, even if
6:37you were not able to get Devon Achane in
6:39your league, I still think that starting
6:41with Puka Nacua is the proper strategy
6:43because it looks like with these default
6:45rankings, you'll have a decent chance to
6:46get Chase Brown, a decent chance to get
6:48Derrick Henry, who is a second-round
6:50pick in high-stakes leagues. Bucky
6:51Irving, by the way, at the 3.11,
6:53insanely bad. Possibly, I did make a
6:55mistake with A.J. Brown in the third
6:58round. Maybe an argument I should have
6:59taken Derrick Henry, Breece Hall. Um,
7:02and then had I done that instead of
7:05taking Javonte, I could have taken
7:06Loveland. And this range right here,
7:09Emeka Egbuka, Zay Flowers, Ladd
7:11McConkey, and DeVonta Smith all
7:13available at the four-five turn. If you
7:15compare that to the rankings that we
7:17have in the Flock Fantasy tool, that is
7:20basically one of the that is basically
7:22one of the best I mean, that's the best
7:25spot of the draft, period. Um, and also
7:27looking at the tool here, it looks like
7:29I am a little bit overbalanced on wide
7:32receiver, a little bit underbalanced on
7:33running back. But that, you know, I
7:35think that's fine. Um, particularly when
7:38we're not going to feel that good about
7:39starting like deciding between Christian
7:42Watson, Parker Washington, Josh Downs,
7:45and Matthew Golden every single week,
7:46I'm going to have to check, you know,
7:47Mason's rankings and everything over on
7:49Flock Fantasy. I'm going to have to
7:50check the projections because it's
7:52definitely not going to be that clear.
7:55What is nice is I am definitely going to
7:57have a flex starter though out of
7:59Skatabu, Price, Rashad White, and
8:01Jonathan Brooks. I mean, I cannot
8:02believe this Jonathan Brooks price in
8:05like higher stakes formats right now,
8:07serious fantasy football leagues that
8:08are being drafted for money in July,
8:10Jonathan Brooks is like a seventh-round
8:11pick. That is one of the absolute
8:13biggest gifts. I think the same thing is
8:15true of Jadarian Price. Again, these are
8:17probably going to adjust, but also might
8:19not. You know, in my vast experience of
8:22doing these leagues, the prices in the
8:24mock drafts generally don't change that
8:26much. They get better closer to the
8:28season in August when, you know, the big
8:30fantasy football weekend, Labor Day
8:32weekend, and stuff like that. But, there
8:33are always going to be some stuff that
8:35falls through the cracks. Parker
8:37Washington, another one of those guys.
8:39He's more like Like, honestly, I don't
8:40even really like Parker Washington, and
8:42in my rankings, he's more like a sixth,
8:44seventh-round pick. So, being able to
8:46get him as a wide receiver four is a
8:48gift. I so often I mean, I'm just taking
8:51Purdy like every single time. When you
8:53can't get Mahomes, Purdy in the ninth
8:56round to me just feels like such a
8:58fantasy football gift. We know that he's
8:59going to run a little bit. We know that
9:01they made significant improvements to
9:03the offense. No more Debo, no more
9:05Aiyuk. They're not relying on these guys
9:07who have not been able to stay on the
9:08field. Like, well, you know what? That's
9:10actually not true because Mike Evans and
9:11George Kittle have both had problems
9:13staying on the field, but they have the
9:14younger guys in Well, and Pearsall has
9:17not been able to stay on the field. So,
9:18maybe I'm Maybe I'm absolutely full of
9:20it, but they have a lot of potential
9:22solutions cuz they have Stribling, they
9:24have Pearsall, they add in Mike Evans.
9:26They're not going to be playing any
9:27empty calorie guys like Demarcus
9:29Robinson or those guys. Even Christian
9:31Kirk, actually, in terms of a slot
9:33receiver is actually above league
9:34average in terms of yards per route run
9:36and targets per route run. A Kelsea Chig
9:38Okonkwo tight end room is just fine.
9:41Josh Downs a gift in the 11th round.
9:43Rashad White and Jonathan Brooks are the
9:45perfect bench running backs.
9:48If you could sign me up for drafting all
9:50my, you know, if I got to draft this
9:52team against my buddies right now, but
9:53it's actually my home league is on
9:55Sleeper. If I got to draft this team out
9:58of the five slot against my buddies
9:59right now, I mean just absolutely sign
10:02me up. But if you have any interest in
10:03my rankings, if you want to be able to
10:05use this tool, any of those things, you
10:06can head on over to flockfantasy.com.
10:09Sign up there, season pass is only 34
10:11bucks. Make sure you use code Davis for
10:13a little bit of a discount. Make sure
10:14you like this video. Comment down below
10:16if you think any of my picks were quite
10:18bad, and I'll be back with you guys very
10:20soon.
