PositiveInjuryOct 28, 2026
JJ McCarthy ranks DJ Moore WR31 but expresses uncertainty about his ranking, wanting to move him either way up or down. Moore was one of the worst WRs in the NFL last year (1.14 yards per route run, outside top 100), but has looked much better this season. However, he cannot stay on the field with multiple injuries including an AC joint issue. McCarthy watched Xavier Worthy play through a shoulder injury last year and found it difficult to watch; he is concerned Moore's injury situation may not improve significantly. The return of DJ Moore is clearly bad for Keon Coleman, indicating Moore's presence will reduce Coleman's target share and opportunity.

Added back into rankings after being seen participating in practice on Friday. Robinson notes Moore was one of the worst wide receivers in the NFL last year at 1.26 yards per route run (down from 1.51 prior), but is at 2.5 yards per route run this season, though he's barely played. His one really good game was week one against Houston with a long touchdown where the defender fell and Moore was wide open. Robinson remains cautious but acknowledges he could be proved wrong.
NegativeRoleSep 7, 2026
DJ Moore's average depth of target (ADoT) is volatile based on play-caller; when he previously played with Joe Brady, his ADoT was much higher and he did not have one of his better fantasy seasons. Moore has historically been better in fantasy when his ADoT is lower, but Brady did not use him that way. Mattek Fantasy Football expresses concern that Moore may be cast in a role he is not well-suited for, though he could be the Bills' best deep target given their weak receiver room.
