Brandon Angelo graded Justin Jefferson as a great prospect coming out of college and disagreed with the perception that he was slot-only; he was a Pro Bowl caliber receiver. Brandon Angelo ranks Jeremiah Smith as his highest-graded receiver prospect since 2019, placing Smith alongside Jamar Chase and DeVonta Smith as the three highest-graded receiver prospects in that span, with Smith graded slightly higher than pre-injury Malik Neighbors.NegativeInjuryNo date
Jefferson's injury status directly impacts TJ Hockenson's fantasy value. If Jefferson isn't playing at his best or is playing hobbled, Hockenson might be a good consideration. If Jefferson is out completely, Hockenson might be the primary target. The Vikings are 4-0 with a week six bye, raising the question of whether they will force Jefferson back if he's not quite ready, given that they have Hockenson to cover his absence.
