0:05>> Redraft ends, but dynasty is life.
0:07Dynasty Life is now part of the RotoWire Podcast Network. Really, really excited about that one. You're going to see all my Dynasty Life episodes right over
0:15here. Uh super stoked about that. And really excited to talk about dynasty buys and sells. It's the end of June, the time we're recording. This is going
0:26to This is going to be early July when it streams. Uh Theo Gremminger are joined today by Ryan McDowell of DLF.
0:33Ryan, you are one of the foremost dynasty experts in the field. Always love having you on. You were actually my first guest ever on Dynasty Life. So,
0:42really excited to have you as my first guest doing this over here at RotoWire.
0:46But, what is your general feel for timing of dynasty trades? Some people will say, Ryan, like, let's wait until middle of the season when we have more
0:54clarity about our teams. Some people will say, I really want to get these trades done during my rookie draft. Is there ever like a bad time to do dynasty
1:03trades? Or do you want it to be in peak news season? Like, how do you time these things out with your own teams?
1:09>> Man, no no. To go back to one of your questions, I don't think there is a bad time to make a dynasty trade. Uh as far
1:14as finding the best time to do it, I I think it really depends on what your targets uh what your targets are.
1:20Obviously, if you're trading, you know, if you're looking to acquire draft picks, waiting until uh you know, combine time to from
1:28combine to the draft, that's the worst time to do that, right? You want to strike uh much earlier than that. Uh I
1:34think we're nearing the end of the time to uh to really take advantage of the veteran discount. The closer we get to
1:41training camps, the closer obviously we get to the uh regular season, the the price of those veterans is only going to
1:48go up. So, no, I think you can always uh always find a way to improve your team and to be active through the trade market. And
1:56as far as finding that best time it again just depends on exactly the type of players you're targeting.
2:04>> Yeah, I think it's a great point you made and I I think that a one thing that we can use as leverage this time of year
2:10in dynasty trading is best ball ADP and redraft ADP. It's like you know, these people see a guy rising up and rising up
2:19and rising up and it creates like like an inflection point where it's the perfect time for us to cash out on some
2:25of these veterans. No for the most part guys are in pretty good health and and the the optimism is there with so many
2:32players at this time of year. Maybe even more so than when we get into like the nitty-gritty of NFL training camps. If
2:38you want access to Ryan's content, make sure you check it out over at DLF and you want access to my dynasty rankings,
2:44you can check out rotowire.com use the code Theo15 get 15% off all of my dynasty rankings. Ryan's provided a long list of buys and sells, some really
2:55interesting names and some names that might get people heated. At least one of them got me a little fired up Ryan. So
3:01we start off with the good Yeah, we'll get the good stuff. Let's talk about like everybody gets excited about the buys and then people sometimes get angry
3:08about the sells, but let's start let's start out at the the let's you know, let's go ahead and start out at the tight end position because
3:15it's sort of been the it's been the summer of Colston Loveland where I'm so head over heels about Colston Loveland, but Loveland's somewhere in that tight
3:25end three range, but right behind him is another super intriguing younger tight end who I think has the potential to have Trey McBride like usage at some
3:35point early on his career. Talk to us about Tyler Warren, your enthusiasm levels for him and sort of the price tag
3:42you'd be willing to pay for him.
3:44>> Yeah, sure. I love I love targeting Tyler Warren as a as a buy right now.
3:49It's not easy to do, right? Like I mean we're going to talk about a several guys today who you could trade for.
3:55Um Warren is is probably the most expensive or or at least pretty close to it. He's not a buy low. That's not what we're
4:03talking about. Although, it's a really interesting parallel with Loveland because, of course, Loveland for the Bears ended the season on such a such a
4:12high note and he's kind of been one of the most talked about players in in dynasty and in in fantasy circles in
4:19general uh since the season ended.
4:22Warren was the complete opposite. Started the season on an amazing hot streak, nine tight end one games, nine top-12 games in his
4:32first 12 regular season games, and then really nothing after that, right? Kind of kind of fell apart and faded. Still did finish the season as the tight end
4:41four in fantasy, but um as Daniel Jones got hurt, the the whole Colt Colts offense really just fell apart. Um but we're we're definitely not
4:51holding that against Warren, you know, maybe who maybe hit a little bit of a rookie wall. I love what's the way the season or the off season, I
4:59should say, has played out specifically for Warren. Obviously, uh Michael Pittman gone, the Colts are investing heavily in Alec Pierce, who
5:10is a nice player, obviously a great deep threat, but he's not a wide receiver one. Josh Downs is not a wide receiver
5:16one.
5:16Warren, I think, has a really strong chance to be the top target for this Colts offense. And uh his ADP, as you
5:24said, is is basically locked in at tight end four. He's behind Bowers, Loveland, and McBride. I don't think anybody any of those tight ends below him are really
5:35going to challenge challenge that anytime soon. So, he's he's basically locked in as the tight end four.
5:41Taking a look at the DLF Trade Finder, I see I see like a Tyler Warren for Roman Wilson trade. I like Odunzeh still, but
5:49I would I would do that in a heartbeat.
5:51Tyler Warren for Chase Brown in a second, I'm doing that one for sure.
5:55Tyler Brown I'm sorry, Tyler Warren for Canyon Sandick and a future third.
6:01There's this this tool this trade finder is filled with acceptable trades for Tyler Warren.
6:08>> Yeah, I mean I would take any of those trades in a heartbeat with Tyler Warren and that's in like non-tight end premium
6:14formats. In tight end premium formats, Warren could end up being sort of like a like a weapon of mass destruction type
6:20player because like you bring it up and we get these and you're consuming content, I'm consuming content, we're putting out content Ryan, but like
6:27people do these long nuanced tight end you know theory type podcast this time of year.
6:34We'll give you give our listeners a little bit of a hint. Tight end's not complicated.
6:38>> Yep.
6:38>> If you can identify a tight end that's the number one target in their passing game, that player is going to crush in
6:43fantasy. If you can identify a tight end that's the number two locked in target in their passing game, that player is
6:48going to be more than usable in fantasy.
6:50And you talk about the loss of Michael Pittman, what that does to this offense and the sort of wide receiver one Alec
6:57Pierce would be. It's Tyler Warren's going to out target Alec Pierce this year even if fully healthy.
7:04Now he's banged up and Josh Downs I've liked Josh Downs the player. Josh Downs is also going to be a free agent this
7:10off season. Like Tyler Warren has a chance to be the leading target on this team for the foreseeable future and he showed
7:16us he's really good. And then also Ryan like I wonder like in just in sort of the the dream scenario, you evaluate
7:24these guys during rookie season, like how they used him at Penn State as a runner. Maybe we see just a little bit
7:30of a mix in there of getting him some of these like you know the the tush push type carries, the wildcat formation. If
7:37Tyler Warren was able to have two, three rushing touchdowns on top of his production as a receiver, then you're talking about like a
7:44league-winning season in redraft.
7:46>> Yeah, absolutely. I love it. Um you know, we looked at a couple of trades from the DLF Trade Finder.
7:52Um this is one I think you could get creative with in a lot of ways. I kind of like the idea of uh if you have
7:58McBride on your roster, uh dropping down, you know, kind of air quotes dropping down to Tyler Warren, getting a piece uh alongside him,
8:06obviously, in exchange for Trey McBride.
8:08That That is something I would be looking to do.
8:11>> Yeah, and I think just the way the market's going, you're not getting a whole like to like tier down, drop down,
8:16huge price tag on top of Loveland right now for McBride. And you might not even be able be able to get much of McBride
8:21straight up for Loveland. But I do think the McBride for Tyler Warren plus is out there in other leagues. You might be
8:27able to get a starter on top of Tyler Warren. Um and then if you're talking tight end premium, I love the idea of
8:33tiering up from the LaPorta, Kraft tier up to Tyler Warren. I'd be willing to add something on top there to get into
8:42the into that stability. So we're we're locked in on Tyler Warren. If you get an opportunity to get him, it's almost
8:46feels like you want to play catch up on Tyler Warren, especially if you're a high-volume dynasty manager. Let's talk about Omari An Hampton. I mean, easily
8:54the most uh expensive player that you listed as a buy. You Where are you at on your enthusiasm levels for this season?
9:02Your expectations for him in what should be an unbelievably fantasy-friendly Mike McDaniel offense?
9:07>> Yeah, I mean, again, you talked about the tight end uh you know, game or strategy kind of being simple. I think this one's pretty
9:14simple. We want We want exposure to this Chargers offense uh really in any way we can get it.
9:21Obviously, Hampton is is the most expensive way, uh maybe outside of Justin Herbert in a uh in a superflex league. Uh but that's That's not slowing
9:30me down. You're Maybe Maybe we're seeing a little bit of a discount from that injury. Obviously, missed a ton of time
9:37last year with that ankle injury, but started the season out relatively strong, finished off with a top-10 game there in the last couple
9:47weeks of the season. And you know, you already mentioned the most important name in Mike McDaniel, so him being there is is all I need to know.
9:57Um you know, Hampton is the is the RB6 in our ADP, currently 17 overall, that's in single quarterback dynasty ADP. And
10:07again, going back to this trade finder, he is in demand. There are a ton of trades, just a huge volume of trades
10:14involving Hampton, which actually kind of surprised me, not that he would be in demand, but that his managers would be willing to part with him.
10:24>> Yeah, I made one trade for I made It's funny cuz I had a ton of exposure to Hampton, and I continue to do so. He was
10:31sort of a flag plant rookie for me last year. I made one trade for him in a single QB FFPC contender team, a $500
10:42entry, so pretty high-stakes one. I sent Amon-Ra St. Brown, and I got back Omari Hampton and Parker Washington. I needed a running back. I had a lot of quality
10:52at wide receiver. I hate losing Amon-Ra St. Brown, a foundational piece to any dynasty roster, but getting Hampton there and getting Parker Washington on
11:00top, I felt like that was a win for me with where my team was at. Can you get behind sort of those sort of trades?
11:07Um we're talking, you know, not talking running back for running back, but like cross-positional. Are you willing to give up like sort of premium assets to
11:14get in the mix for Omari Hampton?
11:16>> Yeah, I think so. I mean, you mentioned St. Brown there, he's the wide receiver five in our ADP, so you know, any of
11:22those players below that, you know, obviously, Malik Nabers is kind of an interesting case right now, and and tough to deal with, whether you're
11:31buying or selling, but Nico Collins, Garrett Wilson, George Pickens, um you know, we'll talk about a couple of these other guys here coming up, but
11:39I would love to move that range of player for for Hampton in a in a win-now situation.
11:46>> I had Ray Garvin on the other day. We were talking redraft and and breakout players and Ray is all over Hampton this
11:52year as well, sort of as a big target for him early second round. And we talked about Omarian Hampton's ability, like if we're saying which players are
12:01going to be drafted highly, even more more highly than they are right now in 2027 in redraft, Hampton's like one of
12:08those easy names where yeah, if the guy smashes like he could, he's a maybe a top-five pick in redraft. From a dynasty
12:14lens, running back is super interesting right now because Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs locked in, those guys are 20-plus point per game unless they get injured,
12:22it's impossible to see those guys really losing much value this year. But the guys right around Omarian Hampton, I think if we look at quality of the
12:30offense, Ashton Jeanty, Jeremiah Love, Devon Achane, all three of them are going to have some challenges offensively at least at times this
12:40season. Whereas Omarian Hampton, if I told you Ryan that the Chargers were like the second highest-scoring offense in the NFL this year, you're like, okay,
12:47I could probably see it. So I I think that matters, too.
12:50>> Absolutely. I mean, there's there's a lot of a lot of fluidity in that second tier of running backs. As I said, we've got
12:57Hampton at six in our latest ADP behind those names you mentioned. I think you can make a pretty strong case for him as
13:04the RB3 and whether really whether you're talking redraft or dynasty. And I I like that you know, I like that conversation that
13:13you alluded to there because I think well, not only I think I did the study a couple years ago essentially looking at
13:22dynasty ADP and how it how it reflects redraft ADP the following year. So, you know, in in some ways dynasty players
13:32are a little bit ahead of the game and and obviously we don't get them all right. I wish we did. It It'd be so much
13:37easier, but you know, dynasty players are obviously over in some cases overvaluing players because of their age or whatever it
13:47might be. And then the the redraft game after that after that first big year are kind of catching up. So, yeah, I think
13:55you're you're totally spot on with Hampton. A big year, a healthy year, and he's basically locked in as a as a mid
14:03first round player this time next year.
14:06>> Yeah, we get it right a lot, Ryan. I hopefully we're getting it right on this show. One player who I I I saw you like
14:13this name is not not for like the the risk-averse fantasy manager, but it feels like I had this conversation in redraft the other day. Like Josh Jacobs,
14:24you know, we had all the fear of the off-the-field incidents and sort of nothing else has happened since and it's a very quiet time and Green Bay has not
14:34done anything to to bring in like a veteran running back. It would have been like a signal if they would have gone
14:40out and maybe signed even like a Najee Harris. They're very comfortable with MarShawn Lloyd. They seem pretty excited about him as like a direct handcuff.
14:47Chris Brooks, they seem to like as sort of a guy in the mix. And then Josh Jacobs, more of the same.
14:54I'd say his dynasty price tag is never been lower because of the off-the-field stuff, but if he survives it and nothing
15:01happens, I think he'd be a is a really valuable player for for managers to roster. Sort of where are you at on like
15:08the amount you trade for him, your enthusiasm level for him?
15:12>> Well, it's it's tough to be enthusiastic overall for Josh Jacobs given the report that we got several weeks ago, but
15:19you're right. There really hasn't been much um, come that has come out since. The Packers seem to be willing to,
15:27basically, ignore this until, you know, until there's more news or another step in the in the legal process. And, you know, we both know,
15:38um, that that that legal process can be very slow. The NFL can be very slow in responding to those things. So, I'm
15:45I'm moving forward as if Josh Jacobs is playing this full season. Um, I think there are some concerns about him and about his game,
15:54even outside of those off-field issues.
15:58Um, but the the story is pretty clear here. His ADP has dropped nearly three rounds since those allegations came out. He's being
16:07valued right now as the RB 23.
16:10When when last year he was the he was the RB 13 and he had four four seasons as a top 12 running back before that.
16:20You know, you talked about MarShawn Lloyd. I'm glad the Packers are comfortable with him. I'm not comfortable with him as an option. But,
16:26I do think you're right that it it shows some confidence that they will have Jacobs, moving forward, because they haven't, you know, signed Najee Harris, traded
16:36for James Conner, or or Trey Benson, or or, you know, whatever that move might have been.
16:43I think Josh Jacobs is a great target for a win-now dynasty team. Um, I I would love to give, you know, if
16:51you've got one of those leagues where you haven't had your rookie draft yet, I would love to give a late first this
16:56year for him. I'm not giving a 2027 first-rounder for him, though.
17:01>> I made a couple of deals as in in single QB FFPC leagues to trade like 111s for Josh Jacobs.
17:08And and that felt good.
17:10There's maybe one guy who's going at the 111 111 now that I'm going to talk about as a potential buy, but I still think
17:17I'd lean to the Jacobs side. Um it's interesting and like any of these older players we're talking about, just think about them, especially if you're a
17:24contender, these are like mercenary pickups. You're not going to get You're looking at a year. Josh Jacobs is 28 years old. I think like if it wasn't the
17:31off-the-field stuff, we'd be talking about does the volume finally catch up to him? He had 340 touches in 2022, 300 or 301 in 2024. Last year a little bit a
17:42little bit fewer, um but it's the touch downs. He's so effective in this in this uh Green Bay offense. And even if
17:48LaFleur gravitates towards a little bit more balanced this year, and we're going to talk about that coming up. Uh I I
17:54think Josh Jacobs, as long as there's nothing crazy off the field that we haven't seen yet, he's going to survive this thing at least for this season. Uh
18:02NFL slow moving. It could be some sort of suspension to start 2027. Um but really really an interesting player, and I think that these cheap deals are
18:10available for you. Um we'll pivot over to uh you know, I like talking about Wan'Dale Robinson all off season long, but you want to talk about the other
18:18guy, um the other wide receiver in this offense. Wan'Dale Robinson coming off a back-to-back 140 target seasons, reunites with Brian Daboll. We had sort
18:28of a like a couple of week period where before the NFL draft where it was sort of like collective enthusiasm about this
18:36clear number one role. Now it's sort of it's all Wan'Dale Robinson. I've talked about the the the benefits of having Wan'Dale Robinson super high on him, but
18:45you want to talk about Wan'Dale.
18:47>> Yeah, I'll let my uh Kentucky roots show here a little bit with it and with my homerism for Wan'Dale. You know, you
18:54talked about it, the back-to-back 140 target seasons. Obviously last year that came without Malik Nabers, but 2 years ago that was uh for the most part with
19:03Nabers on the field. So, uh Wan'Dale is I mean, he's he's never going to be that guy that you look at as
19:11the top target on your team or the wide the the prototypical wide receiver one, but he's he's going to eat up targets.
19:19He's had two really productive years in a row now including the wide receiver 14, obviously volume driven last season.
19:27And we've just seen very you know, very little change in his value. His in-season ADP that you know, we track that we track ADP each month including
19:37during the regular season over at DLF. So his in-season ADP saw a little bit of a spike. He jumped up into
19:43the top 85 or 90 players, but now he's back down to 110 overall. He's the wide receiver 54.
19:52Do I expect him to outperform Tate Cornell Tate this season or or long-term? No, I don't, but I I don't have to. He's as I said, he's already
20:02shown that he can put up numbers as a wide receiver two and he's so so cheap and still only 25 years old.
20:11>> Yeah, and Wan'Dale went over 1,000 receiving yards last year was the shortest wide receiver to do that in quite some time.
20:18He gets it done. And at the end of the day especially know your format here cuz if you're in a start three wide receiver
20:24with two flex format, Wan'Dale's going to have a ton of viability for you because when you look at his target competition outside of Tate, Wan'Dale I
20:33mean clearly looks like to be the number two or number one target on this team.
20:37There's a chance that he leads the team in targets and Tate out produces him and I think that's probably what's going to
20:42happen, but Wan'Dale going from 140 to like 100 would be shocking especially considering he's attached to Brian Daboll here.
20:50And Cam Ward, I could see this offense being highly consolidated between Tate and Robinson. Guys like Elik Chimdike and even Calvin Ridley taking a
21:00big step like a big seat back to these guys. Gunner Helm also sort of a interesting dark throw tight end for
21:06your rosters, but I think they want to be a little more pass-happy. Daboll, I think he's going to have them being a
21:11little more dynamic and very aggressive in this year. I think Daboll wants to be a head coach again, and I think that's
21:16going to come off of, for better or for worse, whatever he can get out of Cam Ward, the passer. So, like that one, and
21:22I think Wan'Dale, super cheap, Ryan. Any sort of Is this a player you'd be willing to give up Okay, I'll give you
21:29one. 2027 superflex second or Wan'Dale?
21:35>> Yeah, I'm I'm taking Wan'Dale there. You know, it's always the the pick for player situation is always tough because it
21:42it's just an opportunity cost, right?
21:44Like, what else could I get? Could I get somebody that I'll like more than Wan'Dale for that pick? Uh but I think
21:50the value is fair, though, uh right there at at the second-round spot.
21:55>> Yeah, for me, I have a two wide receivers to talk about for a buys, and one's a veteran and one's a younger
22:02player. And I think the younger player uh is Denzel Boston, and we don't usually I don't we don't usually put a
22:08rookie on this list, but Boston, the the vibes are just fantastic coming out of Cleveland. Uh Boston like tore it up in
22:17the OTAs. Everything that we're hearing about him is what we want to hear about him. I think profile-wise, he was a guy that a lot of
22:25us liked in the evaluative process, and then sort of knocked because he was drafted after Casey Cansepseon, a wide receiver who I have ranked ahead of
22:34Denzel Boston, but the price to get Denzel Boston is much, much cheaper than it is to get Casey Cansepseon. It's much, much cheaper than it is to get
22:44Harold Fanning Jr., and I think both of those guys deservedly are ahead of Boston, but I can get Boston, and I
22:51think there's a non-zero chance that we look back a year from now, and he has actually surpassed those two guys in
22:58dynasty value just based on the vibes and based on what I think Cleveland's plan for him is, he's a big wide
23:05receiver with Drake London type size. I think he has versatility where they can move him around the formation and he's a
23:12big time threat in the red zone and they seem fully committed to using him as a near full-time player. Obviously, he
23:18won't get that big slot opportunity with Casey Concepcion there, but I think that Cleveland has been drafting very, very well. We look at how well they did last
23:28year with Fannin, with Quinton Johnson and certainly multiple guys on the defensive side of the ball. Why can't it be Denzel Boston being another big hit
23:36for them out of round two? I I traded a 2027 second for him straight up and people are willing to make that because
23:44I think that the steam is there that all 2027 picks are like so valuable and I think they're very valuable, but I'm
23:51willing to trade any 2027 second and it regardless of the team makeup to get Denzel Boston right now.
23:58>> We are really on the same page today, Theo. I nearly included Boston as as one of my trade targets as well.
24:06You look at again going back to his ADP and ADP does not always equal trade value, but it does give us a pretty good
24:15pretty good story, tells a story about the player's value.
24:19Boston entered our ADP in February and his number has literally dropped every single month since. So, started at 72.8,
24:29now he's down to 105.7. That is single quarterback data. So, talking about a 30 spot plus drop and I'm totally on board with everything you
24:41said.
24:42I don't think it has to be Concepcion or Boston. I think it could be both.
24:47There's they're such different types of players.
24:50I do think we could see both of these guys succeed and and meet their ADP or or potentially even exceed their ADP. I
24:58love targeting Boston right now.
25:02>> Yeah, I want it's it's it's crazy. I want exposure to a bunch of Browns younger players right now. It feels
25:07wrong, but I think Ryan we get we get a year from now, there might be a quarterback in the building that we're
25:13super excited about based on the way the organization's going, all the draft capital they have, and the the there isn't like a guy in the 2027 quarterback
25:21class where we're like this guy can't miss, but there is like five or maybe five or eight quarterbacks that were like this guy could be a first round
25:28pick. There's a lot of them this year.
25:30So, uh we will cover that. Both of us will cover the 2027 class all season long. Plenty of time for that, but that
25:36little little a little early here. My next guy, you know, you talked about Josh Jacobs, um which is 28-year-old.
25:43I'm going to go a little bit older with Terry McLaurin of the Washington Commanders. Another guy who, you know, you talked about how do I get out of
25:50these late rookie picks? One guy that I was able to trade sort of 112's for, especially in single QB, and I think in
25:57superflex of the 112 is also very much in play. McLaurin, Terry McLaurin is 30 years old, and he'll turn 31 this
26:04September. So, you're talking about an older player, but he's shown no signs of like regression in terms of what he can
26:10do athletically. And you talk about vibes, like David Blough is saying all of the right things, and Washington's sort of telling you that Terry McLaurin
26:18is going to be this um high-end alpha usage wide receiver one. I think bold I'll go bold prediction on the show.
26:26Terry McLaurin sets a single-season career high in targets earned this year.
26:31I think that we're headed in that direction. We saw him have the massive touchdown ceiling in year one of Jayden Daniels. We know those guys have have
26:39performed very well together. Now you're going to get some creativity where Cliff Kingsbury basically parked Terry McLaurin on one side of the field,
26:47didn't move him around, and McLaurin just alpha'd his way to all those touchdowns. David Blough, on the other hand, it sounds like they're going to
26:54move McLaurin around. They're going to try to find advantageous matchups for him and really make him the focal point of the passing game. And we had David
27:02Blow come out and say that he wants to get to McLaurin 10 targets a game, which was just like music to our ears. We're
27:08like, David Blow, you care about fantasy, you care about my teams. I'm in on Terry McLaurin. I think the only reason you can get him for a pretty
27:14cheap is the fact that he's 30. And Ryan, you've been doing this a long time. We've seen some unbelievable single season years out of guys who are
27:2230 years old. Um he's not going to be doing it at 33, but can McLaurin do it at age 30, age 31, maybe age 32? I think
27:30he can. Um and I think Washington just loves the guy.
27:34>> Yeah, I think he can as well. And you know, the whole Commander offense was a pretty easy fade last year after coming
27:40off kind of that magical uh 2024 run with rookie Jayden Daniels. Uh and it it was as great as 2024 was for them,
27:49that's how bad last season was for the Commanders uh mainly due to injuries.
27:55Um but because of that poor season, because of the age as you mentioned of McLaurin, you can get him so cheaply.
28:02I'm back to the trade finder here. And and for those who might not be familiar, these are actual trades that are going
28:08down in leagues. The I'm wondering if this one is yours because one of the first ones I see is Terry McLaurin for a
28:15for the 112 pick this year. Uh it gets even better than that. Terry McLaurin for the 2.02 this this year in a single
28:22quarterback league. So so such an easy deal to make. Terry McLaurin for Quinton Johnston. McLaurin for a future two and four. These are all deals that I I am
28:33rubber stamping and would be excited to make. I'm also on board with your uh prediction of a career high for targets.
28:40I think that's Looks like that's 134 for McLaurin. Been He's been pretty consistent when it comes to targets uh dating back to his second year. 134,
28:49130, 120, 131, 117, only saw 60 last year, obviously in 10 games played, but I think it's a a big step forward and a
28:59big rebound year for Terry McLaurin.
29:02>> Yeah, no, we're we're locked in on some of the same guys here. I love it, Ryan.
29:05You're one of the sharpest guys out there when it comes to dynasty. Let's uh keep it going. You have one more
29:11You have one more buy, uh and that sort of leads us into a sell. Talk about the Green Bay There are a lot of people when
29:17I say you're you're targeting a Green Bay Packers wide receiver in dynasty trades, they're going to say, "Oh, man, Christian Watson season." I've heard
29:24Theo talk about Christian Watson. Ryan's on the same train. Where are you at on this one? Which Green Bay wide receiver
29:29should we be trading for right now?
29:31>> Well, this this kind of reminds me of the old uh Patriots running back days.
29:36Theo, I know you remember those of we just get the cheapest one, right? We This time of year, this during the off
29:42season, we're not really sure how that's going to play out. So, let me just give me the cheapest guy. That's what I'm
29:47doing here. Uh the cheapest of the three, including uh obviously Watson and Jayden Reed. So, give me Matthew Golden, ADP of wide receiver 51. He's outside of
29:58the top 100 players in our single quarterback ADP.
30:02I mean, we know last year was was kind of a disaster for Golden, but I think the changes they've made this off
30:08season, namely uh moving on from Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks, we kind of know what they want to do here. That
30:16that these three wide outs are going to be their their focus along with uh along with Tucker Kraft at the tight
30:23end spot.
30:24Um so, Golden is it This is just a little bit of a bet on uh draft capital, a bet on some some early support that
30:33he's receiving from that coaching staff.
30:35It sounds like they're expecting him to have a big bounce back season, uh and the price is so so cheap that uh
30:42those those are deals I'm willing to make.
30:45>> Yeah, it's interesting because I think there's a collectively a lot of enthusiasm for Watson and I'm in on Watson as a redraft target
30:52especially. And then Jayden Reed enthusiasm, but historically Jayden Reed is not on the field in two wide receiver sets and I think Golden's going to be
31:01there. And Golden, like they took him in the first round. That was the first time that that franchise had taken a wide
31:07receiver in the first round for like 15 years, Ryan. So this was like a huge hurdle.
31:13I think they're going to be and this is, you know, we talked about Jacobs, but Green Bay has lost two seasons in a row
31:20very disappointing fashion. Two years ago they got woodshedded by the Philadelphia Eagles on the way to Philadelphia Eagles winning the Super
31:27Bowl. Then last year you lose to your heated rival the Chicago Bears in like a really close one in the in the wild card
31:33round. I think that like the Green Bay Packers consider themselves a contender in the NFC. They're going to have to change some things. They have Jordan
31:41Love, but I think you brought up the key point for being in any of these Green Bay wide receivers is like the usage won't be sporadic this
31:50year. It's going to be super consolidated between that big three wide receivers. No Wicks, no Dubbs. And if there's anybody misses time, then the
32:00other two become more valuable too. So I think Golden, you talk about like year two breakouts, a lot of those year two
32:06wide receivers are completely priced out. Try trading for Luke Burden right now in your league. It's sort of impossible. But Matthew Golden you can
32:14still go out and get. Has the first round draft capital. Has electric speed.
32:18And we don't know like rational coaching can come into play. They could be using him in a new innovative ways we're not
32:23really projecting. You also have a sell here. Why don't you get us started with your first sell? It's sort of a natural
32:28segue here.
32:29>> Yeah, the parallel here. I'm not a I'm not buying into the Christian Watson hype.
32:35This this one is so so odd to me, honestly.
32:40You know, he misses basically the first half of the season, comes back and plays pretty well, but he was what we thought
32:47he was, right? He's a boom or bust guy.
32:49Gave us four games as a top 12 uh fantasy wide receiver. Zero games in that wide recei- wide receiver two range, right? So, he's he's either top
32:5912 or uh not even fantasy starter worthy, which has pretty much been the story all along. Gets the uh the big
33:07contract extension that uh I know was surprising to a lot of people, not necessarily that he got the deal, but just uh how how costly that was to the
33:17Packers.
33:18And since that contract extension a little over a month ago, we've we've seen the value spike on Christian Watson. Uh that's I don't know. It's really just
33:27been a surprise uh because dynasty managers don't typically let contract extensions uh impact the way they value players.
33:37This is of course a confidence play by the by the Packers that they're uh they're trusting Watson moving forward.
33:45But he misses on average uh four games a season. And I don't I I don't know why we expect that to change all of a
33:52sudden.
33:53Um so, I I really liked him uh at that old price tag. I I really hate him at the new price tag.
34:01>> We're definitely butting heads a little bit. It's the first one we've we've ran into where we're butting heads a little
34:04bit here, Ryan. I really respect your take though, guy. I do think that if you've been waiting for an opportunity to sell high on Watson, this is the time
34:12where you're going to be able to get a first-round pick for him in a lot of these late rookie drafts, for sure. You
34:17talked about the how you want to get rid of sort of 111s, 112s. Are you willing to take that sort of rookie draft pick,
34:252026, not 2027, for Christian Watson right now? Is that sort of sort of show your level of enthusiasm to maybe sell
34:32high.
34:33>> No, I mean I I I don't think I'm going that far. I would I would still prefer Watson over that 111-112 range. Again,
34:41especially in a in a one quarterback league and checking out the trade finder on this one it it really kind of
34:47represents the the wide range of value that that Watson carries in dynasty leagues.
34:54We've got back-to-back deals of Christian Watson for Mecole Hardman, one for one.
35:00And then Christian Watson for the 2.01 rookie pick in a in a single quarterback league. So, I mean we're we're talking
35:07kind of 1.05 value versus 2.01. And I'm I'm certainly not giving the 105 pick or or Mecole Hardman, but I'm I'm not taking the 201 either.
35:18So, I guess I'm somewhere I'm somewhere in the middle there, but again the the trade trade finder tool just shows that
35:28dynasty manager managers are kind of all over the board on Christian Watson right now.
35:34>> Yeah, that that one the the Hardman one I mean as as high as I am on Christian Watson, if you can get an opportunity to
35:40get Mecole Hardman for Watson, I think that's a trade you should make all day long. Interesting player, let us know in
35:46the comments, are you team Theo with Christian Watson? Are you team Ryan with this is the time to sell? Let's talk
35:52about another player. Let's actually pivot. We'll go a little bit further down the list. Michael Wilson, who the best the best ball market has destroyed
36:00him. My I I actually dropped this on X yesterday that I think like wide receiver 45 on Underdog is a really good price point
36:08for Michael Wilson. He sort of keeps falling and falling. There's been some a lot of pro Marvin Harrison Jr. takes sort of out there recently in terms of
36:16redraft best ball, but like Wilson at like wide receiver 45 on Underdog, he's another interesting one Ryan because you talked about Christian Watson getting
36:24the the There's some chatter that Arizona is going to give Michael Wilson the bag.
36:29He's going to get a big contract extension. They're not going to let him go into free agency this coming off season. Not sure if that's going to
36:36happen or not, but is this a fading last season's production? Is this you're just not into the Explain the Michael Wilson sell
36:44right now.
36:46>> Yeah, a little bit of all that. You You know, I don't do much or really any best ball.
36:53I haven't drafted a best ball team yet this off season. So, >> Ryan, we got to get on I got to get you
36:59on here and we got to do a best ball draft together. We'll do I I think that would be a fun I I think I get you
37:04hooked on best ball.
37:05>> I I've been hooked before for sure and and have tried to take a step back. But yeah, I would I would love to draft with
37:12you. I will say though the the wide receiver 45 number that you just said kind of floored me because our dynasty
37:18ADP, we have Michael Wilson at wide receiver 35, which is part of the reason that I'm not on board with that. You
37:25know, for a 26-year-old with really one season of relevant fantasy production, I'm not good with a wide receiver 35 price tag.
37:35If that If he fell 10 spots, maybe maybe he wouldn't have shown up on my list.
37:39But this is I mean, this is fading the you know, one-year wonder really half of a year wonder, right? I mean,
37:47Wilson didn't even have a game in the top 36 fantasy wide receivers until week 11 and went so crazy that he still
37:54finished as the wide receiver 10 on the season. That That That run was was definitely league winner type stuff for Wilson. But
38:03I mean, McBride and Harrison there, I still look at Wilson as the the third option in that offense. And I mean, we
38:10all, you know, we all know the story here. This is not a team that's going to drop back 55 times a game like they did
38:18in the last six or eight weeks of the season. That offense is not going to mirror what it was uh the last Yeah, that last bit of last
38:27year. So, this is a a pretty easy fade at the wide receiver 35 number. He's another guy I've been seeing go for
38:34those late first, 110, 111. I'm not paying that for Wilson. I would sell him and you know, and and take uh Antonio Williams or uh Boston or or
38:44whoever might fall there.
38:47>> Yeah, I know I'm with you on that. I mean, I think of this is a all like league centric type type sell. I mean,
38:53we talked about the disconnect between the best ball {slash} redraft ADP and what we're seeing in dynasty, but I'm with you on that one. I mean, like I I
39:03am happy to roster Wilson when the cost makes sense, but not if I'm having to pay like a wide receiver three price
39:10tag. And I'll say like, you know, I've made the case of taking Michael Wilson in in best ball drafts and I and I get
39:16that, but when you're talking about dynasty, it's sort of a he's never going to run as pure as he did the end of last season. Like,
39:24there's really not a scenario where even an injury to Marvin Harrison Jr., even an injury to Trey McBride, there's not really a scenario where he's going to
39:32have that sort of production. And I'll say if you want to go with a find a like a a bullish case of something somewhat
39:40similar, we only have to go back to 2024 where Jerry Jeudy had that insane second half of the season where he also ended
39:51up finishing as a low end wide receiver one in terms of pure counting stats. And we saw sort of what happened this year
39:58with Jeudy. It was sort of the we had the Jacoby Brissett bump for Michael Wilson. It was the really a lot of it
40:05was the James Winston bump for Jerry Jeudy. So, we've seen it sort of back-to-back years of a veteran wide receiver. Maybe we get too enthusiastic
40:13that they can have it year in year out, but I'm with you. If you get an opportunity to flip Michael Wilson, get
40:19yourself a Denzel Boston, I think that's a really good way about doing things.
40:22It'll be interesting to see where he settles in in free agency. Maybe that's another potential like bump up. He gets attached
40:30to a good quarterback, but I think you're you're right in that sense. There are If you're seeing trades for a low
40:35first, I think I'm in there on that one.
40:38Now, we'll talk about sort of a couple of bigger names. We're sort of ramping up here. Talk a little bit about Kyren
40:44Williams say this is the smallest name you've got left. So, Williams is pretty significant.
40:49>> Yeah.
40:49>> Uh the guy's been I mean, I've tried to make a case to fade him before and the guy just beats me. Every time I try to
40:56fade Kyren Williams, he falls in the end zone 12 times and he finishes as a running back one. Is this the year where
41:03it all sort sort sort of falls apart?
41:05And is this also a de facto by Blake Corum take?
41:09>> Um a little bit. I did consider including Blake Corum on my buy list. Uh Kyren Williams still just 25 years old,
41:17which is kind of a surprise. This will be his This will be his fifth year in the league. Blake Corum also 25 years old.
41:24So, I don't know that you know, if we fast forward, you're thinking long-term dynasty. If we fast forward to the you know, end of the 2027 season,
41:34beginning of 2028, both of those guys could be either gone from the Rams or or maybe a non-factor at that point. But yeah, I'm I'm totally
41:44with you again as far as Kyren. Every year I I stay away. I suggest others stay away.
41:51Like he can't just keep doing it and he keeps doing it. RB6, RB7, RB9 3 years in a row. So, you know, I guess he steadily
41:59is getting worse. Maybe he only finishes as the RB11 or 12 this coming season.
42:05But you know, I mean, really this is a Blake Corum situation. We saw Kyren's usage decline throughout the back half of last season and we've heard nothing
42:16but positive buzz about Corum and you know, possibly a 50/50 time share or 1A 1B situation and that that scares me off
42:26from Kyren Williams at his price tag.
42:29We have seen the ADP drop a little bit.
42:31The trade value has dropped a little bit. I'm still a seller rather than a buyer though.
42:38>> Yeah, I think I'm with you and it's also like even if people are sort of laughing and saying look at these guys fading
42:43Kyren Williams, it's the volume eventually catches up with these guys and Kyren sort of defied odds as being a sub 200 pound guy who's taking on
42:53Derrick Henry like volume for multiple seasons in a row. I do think that he is a Sean McVay favorite, but I do think I
43:02buy into the fact that Rams have given us signal. It was drafting Blake Corum, then drafting Jarquez Hunter. They've tried to add some additional talent and
43:11depth into this backfield and I think Corum has the potential to be a 10 touchdown guy this year even in like a
43:18split committee backfield. I think he's good and I like having access to Blake Corum. You talk about same age, but way
43:24less tread on the tires than than Kyren.
43:27So interesting one there. Okay, now we're going to get into it. Now it gets really interesting. I guess I'll start with mine and this is one where gosh, I
43:34hope I'm wrong because I have a a ton of exposure to him in Dynasty and it was like found money drafting Jackson Dart
43:42using early second round draft capital to draft Jackson Dart using like the 201 in a rookie draft to get Jackson Dart.
43:50You get this unbelievable rushing production and I I think now he's actually a little bit too beat up in terms of like the redraft and best ball
43:58takes where there's all this doom and gloom about Matt Nagy and this offense potentially struggling without Malik Nabers. I do think Jackson Dart has the
44:05potential to produce yet again this year because he is such a great runner and he can score a bunch of running touchdowns.
44:12But for me, we talk about in dynasty and in redraft, don't hate the player, hate the ADP. I really like the player, but I
44:20looked at Dynasty Data Labs today and at a startup value, Jackson Dart going off the board as the QB eight overall, Ryan.
44:28And I think some leagues you're seeing him up there and the fact that I can get another really good quarterback with a
44:34better offensive situation and something else for Jackson Dart, I think it's a pivot I'd be willing to make. It feels like is there a scenario when you look
44:44at it and you're like Jackson Dart could be the QB3 in next year's dynasty startups because I don't necessarily see I don't
44:51necessarily see that. And maybe it's something where I need to be more open-minded, but I feel like Jackson Dart might be getting drafted at his
44:58dynasty ceiling when he's getting drafted sort of close enough to QB5 overall land and I'm willing to explore trades where I'm getting big offers and
45:08moving him off my my roster and sort of really a cashing in on what I was able to get in terms of the rookie draft pick
45:14equity and the value I've already gotten from him.
45:18>> Yeah, I get it for sure. I mean there there are some red flags when it comes to Dart. For the record, we do have him
45:24as our quarterback 10 at DLF, so not quite as high as as the the data you were looking at, but you know, an ADP of 89 compared to 86
45:36and a half for Hertz, 85 or I'm sorry, 84 and a half for Patrick Mahomes. So they're they're certainly all in that
45:43same tier and you know, if you check back next month, maybe it's Dart at quarterback eight instead of Mahomes and validating your concern there.
45:52I think the good news here is if you do want to cash out on Jackson Dart, you've got a lot of options because there are
45:58several players um the just in that quarter in that same range of quarterback that you can tear up, you know, to Herbert, um to Burrow, to
46:09Jayden Daniels, you can tear down to guys like Trevor Lawrence or Brock Purdy or or Bo Nix. There's lots of ways to
46:17move off of Jackson Dart. Um gosh, I don't know. He was just such a fun player to watch when he was healthy
46:25and and on the field. Maybe I'm letting that um you know, enter into my bias a little bit. Uh but he was not I mean, not only
46:33fun to watch, but he was also super productive. But again, we kind of know the story with this one. An injury
46:39concern uh waiting to happen. You talked about the uh the uncertainty of Malik Nabers' status along with the the changes on the
46:47coaching staff. It feels like all of those things are kind of knocks against Jackson Dart. So, despite the injuries, despite uh everything else that's going
46:56on in New York, uh including, honestly, the loss of of Wan'Dale Robinson. I mean, that's that's 140 targets out the door and we're not sure how those are
47:06going to be replaced, especially if Nabers is not healthy. Uh quarterback eight certainly feels uh feels heavy.
47:14Even uh even quarterback 10, you know, kind of makes you question uh given that a guy like Trevor Lawrence is sitting
47:21right behind him.
47:22>> Yeah, I like all of your pivots. I think that all of those the tier down guys make a lot of sense and can I tier up
47:29from Jackson Dart to Justin Herbert? I think that's a that's sort of a no-brainer when you compare the quality, the offenses, and the sample size we
47:36have of Justin Herbert being so much larger. So, yeah, I mean, I live on Long Island. I I should want to want to root
47:43for Jackson Dart here and I have him on my dynasty rosters. So, people will watch this and say, "Yeah, hey, maybe
47:47I'm going to trade for him." But um it's it just feels a little pricey for me.
47:52Now, we're going to talk about a couple of names where people might might log off immediately. Um talk about a running
47:59back who's been so good for us for so long in Dynasty. Jonathan Taylor comes on the list as one of your sale sells
48:06today. Talk about that one. Is this an age-based thing? Is this a fade on Indianapolis? Where are you at with JT?
48:14>> Yeah, it's mainly an age thing along with an injury thing. You know, we did see we saw a healthy season last year as
48:20JT finished as the RB4 and it's it's a really simple story again with him that when he's on the field he's productive. He's given us four
48:29seasons as a top 12 running back in his career, but he's really bottomed out finished outside of the top 30 with a couple of seasons
48:37where he just couldn't stay on the field and it's always going to be you know, you're always going to be left
48:44wondering which one you're getting this year.
48:47I do think the the Colts offense is going to look very different this year.
48:50Obviously, we talked about some of the changes they made earlier as in during that Tyler Warren discussion.
48:56Not to say that they would would ever move away from a healthy JT, but I do I do think that passing offense
49:04would will be looking different and and could ultimately impact him. But yeah, in the end this is this is just a cash
49:11out.
49:12>> [clears throat] >> Excuse me, he's still the RB8 20 overall at 27 years old. I'm just looking to move on.
49:21>> Yeah, I mean I think being ahead of the market is is always the thing in in Dynasty and sometimes those trades were
49:29they're very uncomfortable to make. You feel like you could be trading a guy on his RB1 season, but JT was there last
49:36year. You know, last year he was giving you near RB1 overall production.
49:40It's an uncomfortable one. Ryan, do you think this is like if you're a this is always an interesting conversation to have. I know there's
49:48some smart people out in the space I've talked about trying to be maybe a little bit less of like build build centric
49:54when it comes to your trades like are you looking to pivot off JT even if it's a contending roster moving off of JT to
50:02maybe somebody you're feeling a little more comfortable about or is this more of teams that are kind of in the middle
50:09or teams that might be headed for a rebuild is this team of verse your your advice with JT?
50:15>> It really is and yeah if you're if you're kind of stuck in the middle if you're or you're starting to rebuild this
50:21becomes obviously a much easier conversation not only are you moving JT but you're probably moving him for a non-running back you know we talked
50:29about his teammate Tyler Warren at the beginning of this conversation I would love a JT for Tyler Warren trade and you can probably get some in
50:38fact I'm pretty confident you can get something back on top of Warren in most Dynasty leagues. I don't think you in
50:46general I don't think you have to get a running back in return but I do think you could you could pivot down even in
50:53that win now situation right I think you could pivot to CMC and get a piece back I think you could pivot certainly to
50:59saquon Barkley and get a piece back those guys just a couple years older than Taylor but could could obviously and certainly match his production this
51:08season.
51:10>> I love the take that you just made on on like the CMC pivot because people view as getting younger with JT but is the
51:17shelf life really any different and with Christian McCaffrey the ability to get catch passes at such a high level he might be able to sort of fade into the
51:25sunset and turning into like a juice not juice not we're saying I'm not saying he's on juice a juiced up in a in a
51:32metaphorical sense James White be and they could just stop stop using him as a runner entirely but he's still catching 75 pass a year
51:41whereas JT he's had 27 rushing touchdowns his last 22 games his game is driven on volume, explosiveness, and
51:50touchdown scoring. That sort of that sort of profile fades a little bit quicker. So, I like that idea. I also think if you want to look at leveraging
51:59redraft, leveraging best ball rankings, there's a lot of fear and gloom and doom about Devon Achane's 2026 season because of the quality of the Miami offense.
52:10But, Achane to me is such a locked-in dynasty asset because of his receiving ability, and he has the the contract stability now where Miami's invested a
52:21lot into him, where a manager might say, "Hey, I could get JT, and I'm locked in for this season. I don't have to worry
52:28about the quality of Miami." I think that's a sort of pivot where you get creative here. Ryan's talked about some older guys. I think there's some younger
52:34pivots, too, cuz JT right now locked in as a first-round pick. Use that redraft.
52:39Now, here's the one where we're bumping heads again and in a major way. I just dropped my dark horse league winners
52:45video. I had a Mecca Egbuka in there, and you've got him as a dynasty sell.
52:50Where are you at on this one? I think this one people are are not necessarily going to like, but is this a hate the
52:56hate the price tag, don't hate the player type thing?
52:59>> That that is all it is. I do like the player, for sure. I think we can see another productive season from Abuka. I just think he's
53:07overvalued at his current ADP, and I think I have seen his trade value kind of lined up with that. You know, he
53:14started the season so so well last year four four wide receiver games in the first month or so. Actually, I'm sorry, three wide receiver games in the
53:25first month, and but then only gave us one game as a top 30 wide receiver after week five. Only one time after week five
53:33was he even in the top 30, which is certainly very scary. And, you know, we know the Bucks were dealing with
53:39injuries, but I mean, Mike Evans was was out much of you know, much of that time and we still didn't see Abuka produce.
53:47So, that's that is concerning. Evans obviously gone now. I think this is another offense with the changes they've made that is is going to look quite
53:55different in 2026.
53:59I like Abuka. I don't like the price tag. I look at the the names on the the ADP list, players below him like Carnell
54:07Tate, Jordan Addison, Rashee Rice, Luther Burden way down there, Ladd McConkey. I think basically he he belongs more in that late third-round
54:16range of dynasty startups and he's currently a a late second-rounder. And only one round, but that's a big difference that early on.
54:26>> And then just if we're looking specifically, you bring up the Carnell Tate one.
54:29Tate obviously the rookie, but when you're looking at where you where you value Egbuka versus the other like high-end year two guys, where do you
54:40have Egbuka versus Teterral McMillan versus Luther Burden?
54:44I guess pick one for your dynasty rosters and I guess sell one. We'll go that kind of is a way to rank them.
54:52>> Yeah, it's really easy.
54:54Tate is the wide receiver nine overall, 16 overall in our ADP. He's the one I want for sure. There is a little bit of
55:02a value gap between he and Abuka. I think that's how it should be and and at value I will I'll roster
55:10Burden and sell Abuka.
55:13>> Wow, there you go Ryan McDowell. Ryan is one of the best out there. Make sure you follow everything he's putting out over
