Luther Burden

PositiveBreakout0:00

The ZAT model identifies Luther Burden as a top-tier prospect, placing him in a comparable archetype bucket to Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams. He is projected to occupy a high-volume 'layup' role designed to leverage his elite after-the-catch ability. The source notes that Burden may have an easier path to these high-value targets than St. Brown, who must fight harder for his volume. With additional big-play upside reminiscent of Williams and strong internal praise from Ben Johnson, Burden is viewed as having legitimate WR1 potential in his second year.

0:00Burden was an excellent prospect. Like,
0:02excellent. Like, one of the best in the
0:04ZAT model database, the model views
0:07Luther Burden [music] right now in a
0:09very comparable bucket as Amon-Ra St.
0:11Brown and Jameson Williams. You know, it
0:12like McMillan, it really like the model,
0:15but it really, really, really likes
0:17Luther Burden. It seems so abundantly
0:19clear to me that this is the Amon-Ra St.
0:22Brown layup role. You know, this is the
0:24the get them in space, let them do work
0:27after the catch because that's what
0:28Luther Burden was amazing at in college,
0:31was amazing at last year.
0:33I just I I see Burden as playing a very,
0:36very similar role. I think there's going
0:38to be a lot more of those layup targets
0:40for him compared to a guy like Amon-Ra
0:42St. Brown who's going to have to fight
0:43for them [music] a little bit more.
0:44>> You also have Ben Johnson going out of
0:46his way every chance he opens his mouth
0:48and talks about Luther Burden that he's
0:50dropping like an absolute bar. He's just
0:52so effusive with his praise on Luther
0:54Burden. It just feels like like
0:56something could happen and I think you
0:58make a very like good point that this
1:00could be the Amon-Ra St. Brown role, but
1:03it could also be the Amon-Ra St. Brown
1:05role esque with some Jameson Williams
1:08big plays mixed in. [music] So, it's
1:10like the the mystery of this offense
1:12where Burden year two could be really,
1:14really good. I am in on Luther Burden as
1:17well. I think he's a player you don't
1:19want to not have exposure to. I think he
1:21could end up he could end up being a
1:22wide receiver one if things all kind of
1:24trend his way.
