0:00Week two, fantasy football trades to consider making to improve your fantasy team. Talking about a couple of buys, a few sells, talking about some buy highs
0:11as well as some buy low opportunities.
0:15If you're in a league that allows trading, week two is a great week to send out a few offers. You have a couple
0:23of things that are factoring into fantasy managers maybe being a little bit more apt to making a deal. First of all, everybody's still in contention. If
0:32you're 0 and1 or you're 1 and 0, you're still playing for a lot of things. If you're in certain leagues that are
0:39inactive throughout the year, you're going to have fantasy managers who are completely checked out and might not even reply to a trade offer. But that's
0:48not going to be the case in week two.
0:50Everyone still has hope. everyone still has optimism. Then you've also got the whole sunk cost fallacy where fantasy managers are hanging on to their priors
1:00from draft season maybe even more so than they should. Now, we don't want to overreact to the stats in week one, but
1:10we do want to react to the usage and the new trends. We also have some players where maybe we didn't get things right
1:19and we need to be willing to pivot. So week two is always a good one to send out a few offers and potentially reshape
1:27your roster. Now every single content creator under the sun, every single person on YouTube, every single podcast is telling you to go send an offer for
1:37Coloulston Lovelin this week. So I will like whatever double down on that. I It's not even double. You're hearing it so often here. Here's the the the
1:46negative thing. Most fantasy managers are not idiots. Uh, I mean, there's some idiots out there, but most are not idiots. And most people realize that I
1:54drafted this player who was so awesome in the NFL playoffs. He was the tight end three overall. I drafted him very
2:02highly. I'm not going to sell him for like peanuts to someone coming along and saying, "Hey, I'll buy your tight end
2:08who scored zero points." But it's worth kicking the tires on in your league to sort of send out an offer that's not
2:15super insulting and try to get yourself a little bit of Colston Lovelin, especially if you wanted him um in the preseason and and during draft season.
2:25But just a couple of simple takeaways, the Bears scored 59 points and they scored an exceptional amount of rushing touchdowns. You had six rushing scores
2:37which takes away opportunities for Lovelin in the passing game. You also had Khif Raymond with nine targets which Raymond looked great and and I'm not
2:46trying to discount him but it's sort of a will Khalif Raymond have a nine target game again but that that's not really
2:53necessarily the overlapping usage. It's really the rushing touchdowns I think with Lovelin and then also the fact that Cole KT caught a touchdown pass. So, I
3:02think it's a bounceback, get right spot for for Coulson Lovelin this week against the Minnesota Vikings. And we saw big performances from both Christian
3:11Watson and Matthew Golden. Wide receivers, but it's a susceptible secondary. We saw both of those players play very, very well against Minnesota.
3:20Coulson Lovelin has a chance for a big bounceback week, too. So, go kick the tires on some Coulson Lovelin. A perfect
3:26player for you to try to acquire if you have a manager who's nervous. Maybe a manager who is quick to make moves and
3:34is impatient. Maybe that manager who's 0 and one and is tilting a little bit, doesn't want to fall to 0 and2, but most
3:41likely you're not going to get that trade done. Now, this show should drop on Thursday. So, I'm going to make a
3:47quick note, and this could look foolish if this player goes out and has a bad game Thursday evening, but I'm doing
3:55what I can to buy high on Daltton Kaid.
3:59It feels like Daltton Concaid is a perfect buyigh candidate.
4:04Five catches, 130 yards. Really the the most productive Bills tight end uh in in forever. No Bills tight end has put up
4:13130 yards. It's in like the modern era.
4:16And you've got Daltton Cade. It's not just the counting stats, but it's that he played 73% of snaps.
4:24Ends up leading the Bills in receiving yardage. And it was just the trust that Josh Allen had in him in key situations
4:33to keep going to Daltton Concaid. I would easily send Kyle Pittz plus that doesn't probably get it done. Harold Fannon plus Tucker Craft I'd send for
4:44Dalton Concaid. And I know there's Craft I have, you know, plenty of exposure to and could do I wish I could go back and
4:51kind of pivot off of those picks and and take King Kade a little bit later. I think so. Concaid looks awesome and it's
4:58getting us access to an unbelievable offense in Buffalo where there's balance. There's Josh Allen playing tremendously like he always does, the
5:08threat of James Cook and then a really consolidated target share between Daltton King and DJ Moore where the two combined for a 50% target share. So I
5:18think Daltton Kaid is still obtainable.
5:20I've made a couple of overtures in some dynasty leagues to try to trade for him as well. So, I'm talking to a lot of you
5:26reddraft managers, and I'll do plenty of Dynasty content right here on this channel as well, but this is kind of specifically to the reddraft managers
5:34out there. If you can pivot off of a tight end who was more highly drafted than King Cade and are able to pivot
5:43over to King Kade, I think that's the way to do things. King Kade probably should have been drafted earlier based on what we're seeing now. If he comes
5:50out and has an awful game against Detroit, kind of forget what I said here. No, not really. I mean, I feel
5:55great regardless of what we see on Thursday evening. I am still very much in on Daltton Concaid. I think he's in a
6:02terrific spot. And if he goes out and blows up in on Thursday night against Detroit in prime time, then the trade
6:09window is probably closed. So, take advantage of the sunk cost fallacy drafter who holds on to their priors in terms of ADP and how they're viewing
6:19players still. King Kade is one who should be higher. And speaking of players who should be higher, I've said this on several shows. I said this with
6:28Jacob Gibbs. I said this on another show earlier this week right here on this podcast, but I'm buying in on the New
6:34York Giants offense. And I'm buying in on any giant I can get from the big four. And that's including Cam Scataboo.
6:42Cam Scataboo is the interesting one because if you're a manager who is just chasing volume and touchdowns, then you're very happy about what what
6:52transpired against Dallas because Scataboo had 18 carries, 81 yards, and a touchdown. But then there's going to be fantasy managers who are a little bit
7:01nervous about the lack of passing game usage. And that might be a signal that they're willing to sell. I think the
7:08fact that Scataboo looked so healthy and so functional and the fact that his biggest backfield competition in week one was Devin Singleary. That's a signal
7:20that I want to go trade for Scataboo and he's probably at this point the easiest one to get. Now Malik Neighbors you're
7:26probably not going to be able to trade for the fantasy manager with Malik Neighbors is going to want an elite asset to go get Malik Neighbors. And I I
7:34think that you know, you know, the Chris Olave, Z Flowers, I don't know if that's the type of players I would pivot off to
7:42to get some neighbors. I personally think, you know, I talked about how Chris Ave could be this year's Jackson Smith and Jigba. Talked about how Z
7:50Flowers five catches, 150 yards, and a touchdown in week one. Those are not really the assets I want to trade off of
7:57my team. But if you're able to get Malik Neighbors, go ahead and get him. uh you're going to probably have to come up
8:02with a very interesting and very uh big package of players to trade to get him because I think the fact that he played
8:10week one, the fantasy manager who took him is sort of ecstatic that he's out on the field when he was supposed to miss
8:16and Jackson Dart looked so good. I want to buy Jackson Dart wherever I can. I think Jackson Dart looks like an elite
8:24fantasy asset at the quarterback position. And I don't think it's hyperbolic or based on a one-ame sample size for me to say that. 11 rushes for
8:3554 yards and then he has three passing touchdowns with no interceptions.
8:40Dart is not loose with the football. I think this was sort of a misconception coming into his being a starter as a
8:49rookie that maybe he had a little bit of gunslinger in him. Dart's touchdown to interception ratio has always been good throughout his time in the NFL and
8:58continues to do so. Completely shredded the Dallas Cowboys defense and he did so without any explosive plays. I would be willing to potentially pivot off of a
9:10quarterback that was drafted higher to get Jackson Dart. And again, find the quarterbacks who are were drafted higher in ADP and go down the list and say,
9:20would you rather have Jackson Dart or this guy? And I think you can find several quarterbacks that were drafted as QB1s that I would be willing to pivot
9:28off of to get to Jackson Dart. Now, would I be willing to pivot off pivot off of Caleb Williams? Absolutely not.
9:33Josh Allen? Absolutely not. Trevor Lawrence, probably not. And Lamar Jackson, absolutely not. And that's probably the list. The rest of the
9:42quarterback side all be willing to have a conversation and kind of look at the circumstances and the situation surrounding them. So, I basically named
9:51about four quarterbacks. Everybody else is sort of in play. Joe Burrow even is dealing with like a little bit of back
9:58issues at this point. So, I I think Jackson Dart is poised to have a terrific year. and I'm going to kick the
10:04tires. Basically a signal if you don't love your quarterback situation, try to go trade for Jackson Dart. And I think a
10:12lot of you are laughing at this one saying like Theo, the the Jackson Dart manager is not going to trade him away.
10:17But I'll say this, I have a number of teams where Jackson Dart is my QB, too.
10:22And it's a champagne problem, but it's also an annoying one, cuz I have that in a bunch of leagues where I can't trade.
10:28I have FFPC and NFC leagues where I have Jackson Dart was like my QB2 that I drafted. Leagues where it was like
10:36Jaylen Herz and Jackson Dart, Jared Goff and Jackson Dart. And I can't trade him in those leagues. But there's going to
10:43be reddraft leagues where fantasy managers wait on quarterback. Fantasy managers take two quarterbacks. And you might end up with a situation where
10:51there's a Jaylen Herz Jackson Dart team.
10:53There's a Jaden Daniels Jackson Dart team. and fantasy managers are going to feel a little bit uh flexible to make that move. One other player from New
11:02York that we need to mention, Isaiah likely. And it's another situation sort of like Daltton Concaid where we need to like check our priors. This
11:11is not to today's price is is is not yesterday's price. Isaiah likely looks like the real thing. And he had eight
11:19targets, eight catches, 78 yards, and two touchdowns. And I know there's going to be people sort of laughing and and saying laughing and saying likely did
11:28this a couple years ago where he had that huge game against Kansas City. This is way different because there's a complete lack of competition in terms of
11:36targets for him on this team besides Malik Neighbors. And tight ends tight end strategy is not rocket science. It's like there's going to be fantasy
11:44analysts out there that want to spend all this time and be all nuanced about the tight end position and we can have
11:50those conversations and we do in the offseason, but now's the time for business. We're in week two and if your tight end is not the number one or
12:00number two target in the passing game, then you're probably not going to get the type of tight end production that you really want. So, likely is a target
12:07as well. Now, all these guys cost a little bit more than they did before the start of the season, but that doesn't
12:14mean they're properly priced right now.
12:16And we bring up the explosive plays. Uh New York had like no explosive plays. I don't think that's going to be the case
12:23every single game where no explosive plays. They had like one catch over 15 yards and that's it. There will be some
12:31explosive plays in this offense and I think the ceiling outcome will get there. This is another offense where they're playing the Rams this week. And
12:40if they go out there and go toe-to-toe with the Rams or beat the Rams, then I think there's going to be a new normal
12:46with how the Giants offense is treated.
12:48They've also got the Tennessee Titans in week three. That feels like a game where they could potentially woodshed the Hapless Titans, who struggled against
12:57the other New York team, the Jets, could get woodshed in week three by the Giants. So, I think there's going to be
13:02a real changing of our perceptions regarding the New York Giants as we move forward. Uh, continuing the conversation, players to trade for.

13:27continuing to discuss players to trade for. I'm gonna buy high on Matthew Golden. I think this was a storyline
13:36where rightfully so. We we make a big reaction to Christian Watson and what a tremendous game he had in week one
13:45against Minnesota. Six catches for 147 yards and two touchdowns on eight targets. Watson's going to be nearly impossible to get. If you have fantasy
13:55managers in your league who are sort of not believing what they have in Christian Watson, absolutely go and kick kick the tires. But lost in the
14:03Christian Watson shuffle was Matthew Golden having his best game as a pro.
14:09Six catches for 95 yards and 15 and a half PPR points. But the key number for Chris for Matthew Golden is 12 targets.
14:20and the fact that he's on the field in two wide receiver sets with Jaden Reed on the bench. So, Matthew Golden, you
14:27talk about was a punchline during the NFL draft where I remember being on a bunch of shows where I was sort of the
14:34Matthew Golden guy and I took a lot of flak for that one, being open-minded to Matthew Golden, having some exposure to
14:40him in Dynasty. Uh, and I took L's last year on this one because it was a slow season, a slow ramp up, but it feels
14:48like I I shouldn't take an L. I should just be patient. I think this feels like a potential Matthew Golden year 2
14:54breakout. You talk about the Green Bay Packers, how the passing game looks very functional, and we still don't have clarity of what's going on with Josh
15:03Jacobs and will he return. We do know that Marshon Lloyd led the backfield, but the production was minimal against a Minnesota team. We've got New York this
15:13week, but I think Matthew Golden at a 30% target share leads all Green Bay Packers receivers and routes run.
15:22There's some metrics there with a year 2 player who was a firstround pick in the NFL draft. They have very high hopes for
15:30and it looks like this could be the breakout season for Matthew Golden. I want to try to buy Matthew Golden. And
15:36when you think about the sunk cost fallacy, it sort of works both ways.
15:40Some fantasy managers are going to say, I'm getting an offer for the guy I took in the 10th round, the 11th round. I'm
15:48going to consider trading him for a reasonable offer and cash out on these 12 targets.
15:54There's some managers who understand what they're holding in Matthew Golden and realize they potentially drafted a steel, but there's other managers who
16:01again were going to take advantage of their summer preconceived notions on players. And there's also going to be some structural managers out there. And
16:09I know you guys love when I use the word structural, but you know how it is. If you're trying to catch up at wide
16:14receiver and you're OTC and you say, "Oh, I got a starting wide receiver, year two guy, Matthew Golden. I don't really want to take him here, but I'm
16:22gonna pull the trigger because that's what you do. You're going to have drafters like that as well who might feel like they just turned a dime into a
16:30quarter when they might have way more than that. So, kick the tires on some Matthew Golden. I think it's a much
16:36easier entry point into the Green Bay offense than trying to acquire Christian Watson, who hey man, if you can go get
16:43Christian Watson, go ahead and do it.

17:15One more player to buy low on, Jameson Williams, who had nine targets, but he had had some costly drops here. But the
17:23nine targets is the operative number for Jameson Williams. We're looking for this sort of target total. And I know it's a
17:30game where Detroit ran an exceptional amount of plays, as did New Orleans. The game flow was good, and we had overtime
17:36in the mix here. So, it's a little bit skewed, but route participation was 90 plus%. Airyard share was exceptional 56%
17:48airyard share first read rate was well above 30%. And then we talk about the targets where Alman Ross St. Brown had
17:5614 but Jameson Williams had nine and this sort of target share is signal when you talk about Jir Gibbs you talk
18:04about Sam Leaporta and then you talk about Alman Ross St. Brown. Those are really strong options in the pass game, but Jared Goff is targeting Jameson
18:14Williams. You're getting this tremendous airyard share and I think there's a lot of people sort of victory lapping how they faded Jameson Williams this week. I
18:22think it's a dangerous game, but you're going to have fantasy managers who are like, uhoh. You know, I look at where
18:28Jameson Williams was drafted. I could have drafted Mike Evans. I could have drafted a bunch of these other guys. And I'm frustrated because I got less than
18:36nine points in week one and the guy had some drops. But I think this is a perfect time to go trade for Jameson
18:42Williams. Again, if you're listening to this Thursday night, we'll have a lot more information, but JMO is one to certainly kick the tires on. Another
18:51player to buy low on, Drake London.
18:53Drake London, it's a very easy argument here. All Atlanta pass catchers are going to be garbage with Cooper Rush behind center. We have to downgrade this
19:04entire offense. But a light at the end of the tunnel. Michael Pennix potentially starting some games this year for Atlanta. That's signal for
19:13Drake London. Drake London, we know what he is. He's a great player. 16.5 points per game in consecutive seasons. He's an
19:20alpha and we're not going to really see it until we get a little bit of quarterback improvement, but it's a perfect time to trade for him because
19:29the target total was so low last week.
19:31four total targets and he gets two catches for 29 yards. It's a nightmarish start for fantasy managers who drafted him. And I've got some Drake London in
19:41leagues that don't allow trading, but in leagues, if I was in a league that allowed trading, I would kick the tires
19:47on this one because we know what he is.
19:50again 16 and a half points in consecutive seasons, a very highly drafted player, high pedigree guy, and we know what the situation will look
20:00like with Michael Penn because we have like a 14 game sample size of these two playing together and a 20.5 point per
20:07game average for Drake London in PPR leagues and 90 plus receiving yards per game in games where Michael Pennock starts and a target share north of 30%.
20:18That's high-end wide receiver one alpha numbers. If I can get Drake London and sort of weather the storm early on, I
20:25think there's going to be better weeks ahead. I think the splits are going to be dramatic when it comes to London.
20:31When we get a quarterback change, it's going to be awesome for him. One player to consider selling high, and this was
20:37mostly an optimistic buys. I'll try to give you guys more sells as we get more information throughout the season, but one uh player to consider selling high
20:46on. And it's really only if you can pivot to something really good because I think the role is tremendous for David
20:54Montgomery. But when it comes to Montgomery, you you could potentially be selling him off of an extremely high-scoring, two touchdown performance
21:04for him. Where Montgomery is looking great, but again, three yards per carry, does get two rushing scores. It's the receiving touchdown though. So, you get
21:16the three touchdown performance for David Montgomery. We have to remember the Buffalo Bills are always very generous to opposing backs. And again,
21:24this is not a sell David Montgomery just to sell David Montgomery. I think if you drafted David Montgomery like I did in a
21:30couple leagues, you're feeling great about things. But if I'm able to sell him a off of a three touchdown game where maybe fantasy managers are
21:40treating him sort of like a top eight asset at the running back position, I'd be willing to listen to offers. I also
21:48think when you get this sort of a score line in a trade league, it kind of lends itself towards two for one trades where
21:56let's say you hit on David Montgomery.
21:58Let's say maybe you hit on your fourth and your sixth round picks as well.
22:02Let's say you take Montgomery in round four, round five um as your running back two or your flex and then you also hit
22:09on some wide receivers. It's a tier up type player where can I take David Montgomery and a wide receiver who put
22:17up a big stat line in in week one and I can I trade those two and get like a really elite asset type player. Fantasy
22:25managers are going to be looking at two for ones depending on their structure.
22:28and you know the managers in your league that are looking at two for ones based on how sorry their roster is and if they
22:35don't have options at the running back two spot or the flex spot or both or their wide receivers are looking shaky
22:43then a two for one can help them as much as getting that elite asset can go to you. So again, it's a consider trading
22:52David Montgomery only if you're getting treated like a top 10 running back option because again coming off of a three touchdown game, this might be his
23:02biggest performance of the entire season. But I'll say if you don't trade him and you just hold him, you're in fine shape as well. So there's a little
23:08bit of context to this one. Understand the asset you're holding and understand what you would need to get in order to
23:14move him, but it's not one of these untouchables. consider moving him if you can tear up to a more elite asset than
23:22Montgomery potentially in a better offense as well. Another player to consider selling and selling low on.
23:31It's really Rashi Rice. And this was a fade for me all offseason long. And I'm not going to get everything right here,
23:36but I'm going to get a lot right. And it was sort of the writing on the wall that Rashi Rice, the offense was going to
23:43change in a major dramatic way with Kenneth Walker. and Rashi Rice. I think if you have him on your team, the
23:49getting a touchdown on Monday Night Football when everyone's watching, it's a signal and you might be able to pivot off. I would trade Rashi Rice for a lot
24:00of these wide receivers. Uh I think this is a a player where the ADP is not going to match up with the final um with the
24:08final production and I think this is going to be a steep drop off for Rice.
24:12any of the wide receivers sort of drafted around him. If I can find a way to pivot, I'm gonna look to do that.
24:19There's a really a a high number of wide receivers that I would pivot to when it comes to Rice. Couple of running back
24:26suggested buys here.
24:29Devon Achan, who it's I'm seeing a lot of people recommending selling Achan because Miami struggled against Vegas in week one and people want to just get out
24:40of all Miami Dolphins. And I understand trying to avoid poor offenses. It makes your life easier. But with Han, the
24:48usage was elite. 88% snap share, a 15% target share, and 15 touches. So it was a disastrous game, but the usage is
24:59tremendous. And it's a player who's had double-digit touchdowns every year of his career. Has had 135 plus catches in the last two seasons combined. And he's
25:09probably the best bet to lead Miami in total catches this season. So buying into an elite talent in a bad situation,
25:19but I might have a window where I'm able to get Devon Achan and potentially use him as my running back two now as
25:26opposed to having to take him as my running back one. I'm going to be kicking the tires on Devon Chan in some
25:31dynasty leagues, seeing if I can acquire him as well. I think that there is an inflection point now just looking at
25:38what some people are saying and sort of the rest of the season prognostication for Achan where it's an inflection point where you've reached a sort of a it's
25:49way too much fade and way too much hate off of one game sample size. And I know that this week they've got a tough one
25:56against the 49ers, but that game could also lend itself to Achan having a big bounceback. All it takes with Achan is
26:04one big run and he's off to the races.
26:07And with Achan against the 49ers, if the game flow dictates it, I think you're going to see an opportunity for a bunch
26:14of catches out of the backfield. And I think they're going to try their best to get there. Now the the pass volume is
26:20going to be low in Miami this year with Malik Willis, but that doesn't mean that the target share and the total targets
26:25cannot support Achan. So kicking the tires on Devon Achan. We've reached an inflection point, I think, after week one where this is probably going to be
26:34the cheapest he's going to be all season long. Another player to buy for the very short term is Aaron Jones. Jordan Mason
26:41went to the IR. Aaron Jones is not a player I'd want to invest in for the entire season. But I think if you look
26:47at the next two to three weeks while Minnesota sort of figures out what they're doing at running back, Jones's usage is going to be good. He's going to
26:56get catches out of the back field. He's going to get a high number of the carries and despite being a very old
27:02back, he's going to get about as much as he can handle. So, I think Aaron Jones, if you're if you're a fantasy manager
27:08who needs a top 20 to 24 running back, like a low-end RB2, Aaron Jones is that.
27:14And then the final player to sort of recommend buying, Bashel Tutin. There's a lot of discourse on Toutin, uh, there's some people saying to sell,
27:23there's people downgrading him, but I think that when you look at Bashel Tutin, it feels like it could be a breakout
27:31week. And there's some metrics behind that. Now he's going to end up conceding a number of snaps to Chris Rodriguez.
27:39But with Toutin, despite conceding snaps to Rodriguez, Rodriguez had 23 yards rushing on six carries. Bashel Tutin had 66 yards rushing. So there's a lot of
27:50discourse on how this is a big split, but there's 16 touches to six and not enough people are sort of talking about
27:57that. Toutton also there's some key metrics sort of supporting him where he he just looks explosive. We know that the yards after contact per rush attempt
28:09are very strong and very good indication of a a running back who's running well.
28:14And then we look at Denver and Denver should has a chance for a get right game against Jacksonville of course but that
28:22defense showed major question marks against the backfield in Kansas City.
28:27Now, Bachel Tutin's not Kenneth Walker, and I'm not trying to say that, but I do think this is a situation where
28:32Jacksonville has a chance to get a statement win. I think people look at Jacksonville, what they did against Cleveland, as sort of taking care of
28:40business, but they have a chance to get a statement win against the Broncos, a team who was in the playoffs last year,
28:48and make a big statement in week two here. And I think Toutton has a chance to make a couple of explosive runs.
28:55Right now, he's being sort of treated as a fringe RB2. I think maybe by this time next week, there's going to be more
29:02people sort of treating him like the running back 18 level player. And we're chasing a really good offense in Jacksonville. I'm Theo Griminger. Going
