With a Brian Thomas Jr. trade looking likely before the deadline, we saw in Week 6 the first signs of what might be an increase in Travis Hunter's WR reps 👀 Broke down what we saw from Hunter last week: - How it lined up with his prospect and Year 1 charting - Why rookie WR Josh Cameron's presence is key to all of this - Use on the key routes in this offense where Hunter is also at his best Watch the conversation with @JamesDKoh at the link below 👇

Matt Harmon predicts Brian Thomas Jr. will be traded before the end of the season. In the recent Texans game, Thomas Jr. had multiple drops in the first half and zero snaps in the second half, benched entirely. Harmon notes that Trevor Lawrence has expressed belief in Thomas Jr. and wants to empower him to fight through drops, but contrasts this with Jordan Love's public praise of Matthew Golden's resilience despite multiple drops, suggesting different quarterback approaches to receiver struggles. Thomas Jr. has not demonstrated the same confidence on both sides to fight through adversity. Harmon suggests Thomas Jr. may be a trade candidate, noting the Jaguars have reached an inflection point where they're building around Travis Hunter and Josh Cameron instead. With Hunter's offensive role expanding and a crowded receiver room (Josh Cameron, Parker Washington, Jacoby Myers, Brenton Strange all getting work), Thomas becomes expendable. Harmon is currently doing nothing on the field in Jacksonville, and trade rumors surrounding him are being fueled by Hunter's role expansion. Harmon believes the relationship is done and it's a matter of when, not if, BTJ is traded.

We officially added a brand-new version of the In-season #ReceptionPerception Charting Tracker to the site last night 🔥 Throughout the season, you can now access my most up-to-date film takes on WRs I can chart every week. Each player has a tag for their performance relative to expectations and a quick notes section when you click on them, plus a link to a deeper notebook with film clips when available (not for everyone). So far, I have at least one game logged on the following WRs: Antonio...

One of the last takes I am filing for this season, and it's mostly just because of how much readers and viewers reacted to me drafting (no matter the cost) or saying anything nice about him in the final couple weeks of preseason: We've officially reached the point where we've overcorrected on Brian Thomas Jr. Even if you could pick some nits in what may have been overstated rookie-season production, it was still an incredibly promising first year where he didn't just operate as a vertical X....

Matt Harmon expects Brian Thomas Jr. to improve significantly this season due to better health compared to last year. Despite Parker Washington receiving more hype in the draft market, Harmon ranks them relatively close together. In best ball format, Harmon prefers BTJ for higher ceiling exposure and bigger weeks; in redraft he'd lean slightly toward Marvin Harrison Jr. Harmon is comfortable with BTJ in the fifth-round range where the wide receiver run occurred. BTJ is drafted as the second receiver but Harmon expresses reservation about that placement, preferring him as a third receiver instead due to role uncertainty in the Jaguars' receiver room. Better suited for best ball format due to volatility; in reddraft Harmon would not want BTJ as his WR2.
