Antonio Gibson

NegativeValue20:00

Gibson is mentioned as a proven first-round pick where you know what he can do based on past performance.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveProjection0:04

Robinson is the consensus tier-one pick alongside Jameer Gibbs and was the most common running back on championship teams last year according to Tristan Cockroft's annual analysis. He is 24 years old and has already been a league-winning running back. However, the Falcons brought in Brian Robinson Jr. to replace Tyler Algier, and the team's quarterback situation is less stable than Detroit's: Tua and Michael Penix are both lefties and stylistically different, and both are considered fragile. The Falcons are projected to score the 25th-most points in the NFL this season, compared to the Lions' third-most. While Robinson could have a Hall of Fame season, the Lions' easier schedule, easier rushing schedule, and more consistent quarterback situation with Jared Goff give Gibbs the edge.

Insight page

Blake Corum

NegativeRole60:01

Bill Simmons notes that despite ongoing speculation about Corum losing his job to Kyron Williams, he has not actually lost carries. Simmons attributes this to the fact that coaches love Corum and running backs that coaches favor do not simply lose their jobs, especially when the team is performing well. The Rams are great, so there is no reason to make a change unless Corum proves to be undeniably superior.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeDepth Chart50:00

Breece Hall is grouped in a tier of lead backs with multiple questions about them; speaker notes the tier is starting to get icky and there's a clean top 12 at running back before concerns mount.

Insight page

Brian Robinson

PositiveRole4:00

Robinson Jr. was brought in by the Falcons to replace Tyler Algier and is considered more capable than Isaiah Pacheco, whom the Lions brought in to replace David Montgomery. This makes the Falcons' backfield situation more secure than Detroit's from a replacement-back perspective, though the Lions' overall offensive environment is still superior.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeProjection62:02

Bill Simmons describes Bucky Irving as an impossible decision with two competing narratives. Irving had a dominant rookie year with 1,500 yards and eight touchdowns as a fourth-round pick, but last year was plagued by shoulder and foot injuries, offensive line injuries, and personal issues. The Buccaneers signed Kenneth Gainwell to a two-year, $14 million deal, raising questions about Irving's passing and goal-line work. However, Irving still averaged 20 touches per game (fourth in NFL) despite playing only 10 games. His rookie advanced stats were elite, but his second-year advanced stats were among the worst in the NFL. Simmons believes Irving is probably somewhere in the middle and could bounce back closer to his rookie form, but there is genuine uncertainty about whether he will be phased out of important touches.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeValue22:50

Brown is grouped in the early-round-two tier of running backs with obvious league-winning upside but asterisks holding them back. He is part of a funny grouping that includes Hall of Famers like Saquon and Derrick Henry alongside unproven prospects. There is no world in which you're taking Chase Brown over Saquon, indicating he belongs in a lower tier.

Insight page
NegativeValue39:04

Chase Brown is ranked in the late-round-two tier of running backs, below Saquon Barkley and other early-round-two targets; Bill Simmons indicates there is no world in which you'd take Brown over Saquon, positioning him as a secondary option in that tier.

Insight page
PositiveProjection43:07

When playing with Joe Burrow, Chase Brown is a top-five running back; in 2025 he played six games with Burrow and finished as RB2 in fantasy with 20 touches per game and eight touchdowns in six games; in 2024 he played eight games with Burrow and finished as RB5 over that stretch, showing consistent elite production whenever he starts and finishes a game with Burrow.

Insight page
PositiveValue43:13

Chase Brown is going 15th overall but should be ranked ahead of Devon Achane; there is no discount for him despite being underrated in reputation versus production—nobody talks about him, but he quietly had over 300 touches last year and was the RB2 with Burrow; Bill Simmons says 'I think I got to take Chase Brown over Devon HN' and 'I think I got to switch it,' indicating a preference for Brown over Achane at their respective ADP positions.

Insight page
PositiveRole43:34

Chase Brown faces minimal defensive attention compared to Jamar Chase, Joe Burrow, and Tee Higgins; defenses prioritize those three threats, leaving Brown as a fourth option, which allows him to operate with little competition and contributes to his elite production when Burrow is healthy.

Insight page
PositiveRole48:06

Bill Simmons notes that the Bengals clearly view Chase Brown as their lead back, with the team retaining only Samaj Perine (age 30) and Taj Brooks as backup options; this signals the Bengals' confidence in Brown as their primary running back.

Insight page
NegativeValue48:16

Chase Brown is a second-round running back going at a price that feels a little weird for his profile; speaker notes a blind spot with him. The core argument: if Brown had won the Heisman at Ohio State and been a first-round pick with the exact same first three years of career statistics and situation on the Bengals, he'd likely be an eighth-overall or higher fantasy draft pick. Because he didn't win the Heisman, his current draft price reflects environment rather than pure skill, suggesting his value may be inflated relative to his actual talent.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeProjection4:00

McCaffrey is a polarizing tier-two candidate whose fantasy value is binary: he either destroys your season or single-handedly drags you to the semifinals with nothing in between. He led the league in touches last year with 413 in the regular season (over 450 in the playoffs). The concern is that the other two times he exceeded 413 touches, he played only four games the next year. While this is not a definitive pattern, it raises hesitation about assuming McCaffrey's durability. Additionally, his efficiency metrics were cut off last year, which was a broader issue for the 49ers offense. The risk-reward calculation is unfavorable at his current draft position, and the questioner is hesitant to assume he will repeat his workload without injury.

Insight page
NegativeProjection19:17

McCaffrey is less reliant on pure ground volume than other elite running backs; he had 129 targets last year, almost 30 more than the next closest running back (B. John with 100), and averaged three more touches per game than any other RB. He has 100 catches in a season three times; every other running back in NFL history has done that four times combined. With 102 catches last year (sixth in the NFL, right behind Amon Ross St. Brown), he functions essentially as a pass-catching receiver who also gets 300 carries. Despite high injury risk, his potential value is worth the risk because he could win your league; he's been a top-three running back by points per game every year he's played more than seven games.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

NegativeProjection66:51

Bill Simmons jokes that Chuba Hubbard is ranked lower than Cam Scadaboo because Hubbard probably believes in asthma, implying that Hubbard lacks the aggressive, fearless mentality that Simmons values in Scadaboo. This is a humorous jab at Hubbard's perceived lack of intensity compared to Scadaboo's maniacal playing style.

Insight page

Clyde Edwards-Helaire

NegativeValue34:00

Edwards-Helaire was a first-round pick in fantasy not long ago but is no longer in that conversation. He was not an athletic guy, and now Kenneth Walker is supposed to be the straw that stirs the drink in the Chiefs offense because everyone else is pretty limited.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

NegativeDepth Chart50:12

DeAndre Swift is grouped in a tier of lead backs with multiple questions about them; speaker notes the tier is starting to get icky and there's a clean top 12 at running back before concerns mount.

Insight page
NegativeRole60:48

Bill Simmons places DeAndre Swift in a tier of lead backs with significant question marks about their role and offensive line stability. For Swift with the Bears, the concern is whether the team can replicate last year's offensive line success and whether Kyle Monahan will take more goal-line work. Simmons suggests Swift is less certain than Kyron Williams, making him a riskier pick.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeDepth Chart4:00

Montgomery has departed the Lions and is now on a new team (the Colts, where he was replaced by Isaiah Pacheco). His departure is cited as a key reason to prefer Jameer Gibbs in the Gibbs vs. Robinson debate, as Gibbs no longer has to share touches with a capable running back. Montgomery is 25 years old and was a touchdown-scoring back for Detroit.

Insight page
NegativeDepth Chart50:12

David Montgomery is grouped in a tier of lead backs with multiple questions about them; speaker notes the tier is starting to get icky and there's a clean top 12 at running back before concerns mount.

Insight page
NegativeRole61:47

Bill Simmons expresses concern about David Montgomery with the Texans, questioning whether the team can fix their offensive line issues and whether Montgomery can stay healthy as the primary back. These uncertainties place him in a tier of lead backs with significant question marks, making him less reliable than Kyron Williams.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

PositiveProjection41:45

Devon Achane is described as the sexiest running back imaginable with elite athleticism; he is the fastest running back in the NFL, a genuinely elite receiver, and possesses good running back fundamentals including vision and between-the-tackles ability despite his light weight of approximately 185 pounds.

Insight page
NegativeProjection41:58

Despite elite skill set—fastest running back in the NFL, genuinely elite receiver, good vision, good between the tackles for 185 pounds—Achane is hampered by playing on the absolute worst team imaginable; the Dolphins are favored to have the worst record in the NFL and accused of tanking, making him an elite player in the worst possible offensive environment.

Insight page
NegativeValue43:13

Achane is going 13th overall in drafts; there is no discount for him despite the Dolphins' tanking situation and worst-record projection, making his ADP reflect his elite talent without accounting for the team environment downside.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveValue22:50

Henry is a Hall of Fame former top-three fantasy pick still at the peak of his powers on a good team (Titans). He should be considered a perfectly fine end-of-first-round pick and belongs in a tier with Gentry and Saquon Barkley rather than below them.

Insight page
NegativeValue39:01

Derrick Henry is mentioned as a round-two running back option, but Bill Simmons expresses skepticism about taking him at the top of round two, suggesting he can be acquired later in the draft.

Insight page
PositiveRole46:50

Bill Simmons highlights the Ravens' Derrick Henry signing as creating a historically unique "thunder and lightning" backfield with Lamar Jackson, comparing it to the fastest quarterback paired with a unique running back talent; notes this is the coolest such pairing in NFL history.

Insight page

Isiah Pacheco

NegativeRole4:00

Pacheco was brought in by the Lions to replace David Montgomery, but he is not as capable a running back as Montgomery was. This is cited as a reason to prefer Jameer Gibbs over Bijan Robinson, as the Lions' replacement back is inferior to the Falcons' replacement (Brian Robinson Jr.), making Gibbs' workload more secure.

Insight page

James Conner

PositiveRole50:37

James Conner is the Cardinals' preferred back according to coach Nate Hackett, who publicly expressed excitement about Conner getting into the offense, contrasting with his downplaying of rookie Jeremiah Love.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveProjection10:00

Cook is a tier-two candidate who deserves inclusion despite being perceived as boring and small. He has 32 touchdowns in the last 33 games, which is an elite touchdown rate. He came out of the NFL at 190 pounds (sub-200), which was part of the reason he did not go earlier in the draft. Cook is weirdly similar to Jonathan Taylor in that he gets a ton of carries and scores a ton of touchdowns when the offense is rolling, though he is not heavily involved in the passing game. However, he is a good pass catcher, which is ironic given his limited receiving usage.

Insight page
PositiveValue22:50

Cook is a proven first-round pick where you know what he can do based on past performance. The question is whether Saquon and Derrick Henry should bump up to be in the same tier as Cook, suggesting he's a tier-one running back.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

NegativeDepth Chart50:00

Javante Williams is grouped in a tier of lead backs with multiple questions about them; speaker notes the tier is starting to get icky and there's a clean top 12 at running back before concerns mount.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeRole50:00

Jeremiah Love is a rookie running back for the Cardinals facing skepticism from coach Nate Hackett, who publicly emphasized excitement about James Conner and downplayed Love's role by saying 'he's definitely a rookie.' Speaker notes people are already upset about Hackett's quotes. However, speaker also poses the question: is there any chance Love becomes the fifth-best running back in fantasy in the second half of the season? The answer is yes, but it depends on the Cardinals being better than expected and Mike LaFleur's coaching.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveProjection10:00

Taylor is a tier-two candidate alongside McCaffrey and James Cook. He was the best running back in fantasy last year when Daniel Jones was playing for the Colts, earning a spot in the elite tier. Taylor gets a ton of carries and scores a ton of touchdowns when the offense is rolling, though he is not heavily involved in the passing game. He is weirdly similar to James Cook in this regard—both are workhorse backs with limited pass-catching usage despite being capable receivers.

Insight page
PositiveValue20:00

Taylor is a proven first-round pick (alongside McCaffrey and James Cook) where you know what he can do based on past performance, not projection.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeDepth Chart49:56

Josh Jacobs is grouped in a tier of lead backs with multiple questions about them; speaker notes the tier is starting to get icky and there's a clean top 12 at running back before concerns mount.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

NegativeRole62:35

Bill Simmons explains that the Buccaneers signed Kenneth Gainwell to a two-year, $14 million deal primarily to provide pass-protection support for Baker Mayfield, not necessarily to replace Bucky Irving. Gainwell won Aaron Rodgers' trust with the Eagles and Steelers because he is reliable in pass protection, which is critical for a quarterback like Mayfield who takes punishment. However, Simmons notes that Mayfield's aggressive downfield passing style is the opposite of Aaron Rodgers' conservative approach, so Gainwell may not see the same volume of targets with the Buccaneers. Gainwell averaged seven targets per game with the Steelers and was on pace for 500 receiving yards last year.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveProjection32:00

Walker is a buy opportunity because people are bored of the Chiefs offense, but he has elite talent. Kansas City had the fewest touchdowns scored from outside the red zone last year (tied with Vikings), and Kansas City running backs have one touchdown from outside the red zone in the past three seasons combined—Walker alone has more than that. He is an explosive runner and tackle-breaking guy who can create big plays on the ground. His upside mirrors early-career Kareem Hunt (1,300 yards, 8 TDs in 2017), and Walker is faster than Hunt ever was. He ranked first in missed tackles forced last year and will get the vast majority of touches with minimal competition (Amari DiMarcado and others). If you take health out of it, he's more likely to be a top-five fantasy running back than fringe top-25. He's also an elite receiver for screens, which fits Andy Reid's design-pass philosophy.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeDepth Chart50:00

Kyron Williams is grouped in a tier of lead backs with multiple questions about them; speaker notes the tier is starting to get icky and there's a clean top 12 at running back before concerns mount.

Insight page
PositiveProjection60:00

Bill Simmons argues that Kyron Williams should be ranked in a higher tier than previously discussed because he is a lead back on a winning team with job security. At 25 years old, Williams was extended by the Rams, and there is no reason to expect a significant change unless Blake Corum becomes undeniably elite. Simmons contends that you would not take DeAndre Swift or David Montgomery over Williams, making him a safer, more valuable pick than the next tier of committee backs with question marks.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeRole46:47

Bill Simmons notes Malik Willis is the fastest quarterback in the NFL and is part of a Dolphins option-based backfield with Devon Henry, though he acknowledges this pairing is not as compelling as the Ravens' Lamar-Henry combination.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

NegativeProjection63:49

Bill Simmons places Quinshawn Judkins in a tier with Travion Henderson, Cam Scadaboo, and Rhamondre Stevenson, indicating these backs are similarly valued and interchangeable in draft strategy.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeProjection63:49

Bill Simmons places Rhamondre Stevenson in a tier with Travion Henderson, Quinshawn Judkins, and Cam Scadaboo, indicating these backs are similarly valued and interchangeable in draft strategy.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

PositiveValue22:50

Barkley is a Hall of Fame former top-three fantasy pick still at the peak of his powers on a good team (Eagles). He should be considered an end-of-first-round pick, and there is a world where you're taking Saquon over James Cook, suggesting he belongs in a tier with Gentry and Derrick Henry rather than below them.

Insight page
PositiveValue39:17

Saquon Barkley is positioned as a top-of-round-two running back target, with Bill Simmons noting there is a world in which you'd take Saquon over James Cook, elevating him above Cook in the draft hierarchy despite Cook being a first-round lock.

Insight page

Sean Tucker

NegativeRole63:40

Bill Simmons identifies Sean Tucker as the Buccaneers' red-zone back, describing him as an old-school, physical runner who runs through people. Tucker was undrafted but would have been a fourth or fifth-round pick if not for a heart condition discovered before the draft. He is a hammer looking for a nail and will compete with Bucky Irving for goal-line touches.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeDepth Chart50:06

Travis Etienne, formerly with Jacksonville, is now with the Saints and is grouped in a tier of lead backs with multiple questions about them; speaker notes the tier is starting to get icky and there's a clean top 12 at running back before concerns mount.

Insight page
NegativeRole58:16

Bill Simmons expresses concern that Etienne's role will be diminished by Alvin Kamara's arrival; Kamara will likely handle third-down passing work and goal-line touches that were central to Etienne's fantasy value. Etienne had six receiving touchdowns last year, and if those evaporate due to Kamara's presence, it will significantly hurt his fantasy outlook. Simmons notes that taking Etienne in round four could result in him grinding out 85 yards with few catches, making him a risky pick despite his talent.

1:00Welcome to The Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Heifetz and I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck, who is back from Hawaii.
1:07Baby Craig, how's Hawaii? I was actually on a medical tourism trip.
1:11I got a facelift. I got peptides injected into my cheeks, so I'm feeling refreshed.
1:15You look it, pal. Yeah. Yeah. You just weren't mogging us enough before?
1:19I said, give me the Anne Hathaway. She looked great in ancient Greece.
1:23Just actually learned to do ancient looms by hand.
1:26Okay, we're going to do running backs today. We're going to do running back rankings.
1:30We're going to do tiers. We're going to do sleep.
1:33That's enough of Craig's vacation. We're just getting ready to run.
1:36Yeah, we're going to do next. Moving on. And then just a reminder, we also do shows during the season.
1:42So in the middle of the season, you can stick with us.
1:46Once you do your draft, you can come back.
1:48We do waivers during the season. We do trade help.
1:51We also just talk about all the dumb shit that happens during the season.
1:55So stick with us before your draft, but also after.
1:58Yeah, we do a company-wide fantasy football league with Bill Simmons and the rest of The Ringer, and we're going to do
2:05a live stream draft on Netflix at the end of August.
2:08It's going to be fun. I feel like an idiot.
2:11Well, I guess that's kind of a loaded question because Jameer Gibbs, do you count him as a big beefy back?
2:17No, if you get a top two pick, that's like privilege.
2:20That doesn't count. I'm talking like outside the top two guys.
2:23There's no conversation there. I'm saying if you're not having a top two pick, are you going to be like running back,
2:30running back to start your draft and feel great about it?
2:33I'll be motivated to take a running back very early.
2:36I don't know about two in a row. That's a whole different discussion.
2:40That changes everything. We can't get that deep into it, really.
2:43But yeah, I think getting one early in the first two rounds is going to be big this year because once you
2:50get into the third, fourth, fifth tier of these running backs, it starts to get kind of scary.
2:55I mean, look, since fantasy football has existed, usually the strategy has remained that if you get one of the best running
3:01backs in the league, you're probably going to win or be in the championship.
3:05Like running backs typically score the most points outside of quarterbacks, but that's a different conversation.
3:10But like if you get one of the best four running backs in the NFL or in fantasy, that is usually the
3:17best strategy to win fantasy football is like you just have Christian McCaffrey and he's the RB one.
3:22That is like, so I would say even when things kind of change, strategies change, if you can just get an elite
3:28running back, that kind of always works every single year as long as they're healthy.
3:33Like that is the best strategy. Get an elite running back.
3:36Yeah. I mean, I even just like, I mean, spoiler, but the first two guys we have here, the tier one, and
3:43again, we're going through tiers because it's basically for lack of a more perfect definition, just basically buckets of guys that you
3:49could put them in any order and draft them in any order.
3:53We wouldn't think you're crazy, even if we might disagree with you.
3:56And the top two, I think is pretty unanimous, which is guys that you could take first overall.
4:01It is Jameer Gibbs to the Lions and B.
4:04John Robinson for the Falcons. But I think to that point, Craig just made those two guys kind of epitomize it for
4:10a lot of reasons, because last year, the literal player that was on the running back on the most teams that won
4:17the championship last year on ESPN was B. John Robinson.
4:20Tristan Cockroft does this article every year where he basically just looks at here's the teams who won the leagues this year.
4:26And the most common running back was B. John Robinson.
4:29The year before that, the most common player period on championship teams was just Jameer Gibbs.
4:34Literally, you're at three times better odds of just winning your league if you just drafted.
4:39It was probably McCaffrey the year before that. Yeah.
4:41Yeah, basically. And so you just go through and like, yeah, it's like nailing your running back is the most important.
4:48Well, phrasing, but like having nailing your pick at running back is the most important part.
4:52Yeah. That part. Did you just say that part?
4:55That was good. That was funny. I didn't know DK knew that part.
4:59Wait, what? No, I didn't say that part. He said pause.
5:02I said pause. Oh, I thought you said pause.
5:05And then after that, you said that part. Now you got to explain, you got to explain that part to me because I don't know what that is.
5:13Oh, fuck. I don't know. How did I hear that?
5:16I didn't say it. It's like a, it's like a Gen Z way to acknowledge like something embarrassing you said in a sentence.
5:22No, I've never heard of that. Now I wish I used it.
5:26Song also. But I think that's probably where it came from.
5:29Anyway, it's hard to go from that to like a serious conversation about fantasy football running backs.
5:34Who do you guys like more? Who are you taking first?
5:37Gibbs. Jameer Gibbs. Yeah. I feel like we flopped.
5:40David Montgomery's gone. Like it's as simple as that to me.
5:43Like I think the offensive line is still solid and they're doing what they can to kind of revamp it in Detroit.
5:50David Montgomery is gone. They brought in Isaiah Pacheco.
5:52But like. He's alive. He's just on a new team now.
5:56Jameer Gibbs. Yeah, you're right. He's not gone from this earth.
5:59David Montgomery and now he's gone. Well, he's 25 years old.
6:02Like I'm like, this is all they do is score touchdowns.
6:05Jameer. All Jameer Gibbs does is score touchdowns. And his counterpart who also had like 10 touchdowns a year.
6:11I'll say it for a third time is gone.
6:14He's not even 25. They're both 24 years old.
6:16And that's the thing is they've both basically been league winning running backs already.
6:20Bijan basically was the league winner last year. Gibbs was the really good way the year before.
6:25And yet this is probably, they might both have a career years this year.
6:30Can't go wrong with either of those. Yeah, yeah.
6:32To be clear, I mean, Tyler Algier also left for Atlanta.
6:35The problem is Atlantic brought in Brian Robinson Jr., who I think is more capable running back in Atlanta than Detroit brought
6:42in Isaiah Pacheco, who's not as good as David Montgomery.
6:45I just think overall, though, it's not even the Montgomery thing to me with Detroit.
6:49It's just I would rather have all season the Lions offense with Jared Goff than I would the Falcons with Tua and Michael Penix as the quarterback.
6:57I agree. That's the difference. Or Michael Penix. Yeah.
7:00And there's, I mean, one part of that's obvious.
7:02But also, just because Tua and Michael Penix in Atlanta, the quarterbacks, they're both lefties.
7:07Like, stylistically, they're not the same. If they inevitably go from Tua to Penix at any point during the season, I do
7:13think they'll have quite the effect on the offense.
7:16Never mind if both get hurt in December, which is, I mean, I feel like they're two of the more fragile quarterbacks in the NFL.
7:23And I also have to say that the Lions thing, what really pushes me over the edge for me, Rich Rebar at
7:30Sharp Fantasy, who has great stats at Warren Sharp's website, Rich Rebar made the point that not only do the Lions have
7:36the easiest schedule in the NFL for real life, but the Lions also have the easiest rushing schedule in the NFL.
7:42They try to project rushing defenses and all these things.
7:45And the Lions are projected to have like the third most points in the NFL this season.
7:50And the Falcons are projected to have the 25th most points.
7:54So if it's just like, well, who's going to score more touchdowns?
7:57It was probably the guy with more consistent quarterback with the easier schedule, with the easier rushing schedule and the team that's
8:04going to be in the red zone more. So I think that to me is what pushes it over for Gibbs, even
8:10though it's not like impossible that B. John has like a Hall of Fame season.
8:14The Lions finished nine and eight last year. I totally memory hold it that they were in last place in the NFC North.
8:21They get a last place schedule this year. So that's a big part of the reason they have the easiest, according to
8:28Warren Sharp, the easiest schedule in the NFL. They go up against the Jets, the Panthers, the Cardinals, Falcons, Titans and Giants among other like among other teams.
8:36And then, you know, they've got a couple of hard games in there here and there.
8:41But yes, they are. They're facing the easiest schedule in the NFL.
8:44This is a easy to me. This is the easy tiebreaker between Bijan and Gibbs.
8:49I think both are great picks. I think the Falcons have a pretty easy schedule, too, from according to, you know, Vegas win totals.
8:56But yeah, the Lions could just actually absolutely go nuclear on offense this year and kind of get back to what they're doing.
9:02The other thing is they love to run in the red zone.
9:06That has been a thing for years. And so there's a strong chance Gibbs just has a ton of touchdowns again.
9:12The one thing I'll say about Gibbs, just because I think everyone's anointing was the number one pick.
9:17And the number one pick kind of hasn't delivered for anybody in like a really like 10 years, if we're being honest.
9:24The one thing I'll say about Gibbs. But you can't just ignore him.
9:28No, no. I'm just I'm just saying like before we just say like he's this perfect prop.
9:33I will say the one thing that you take for granted in Detroit is the offensive line.
9:38That is the biggest question on the whole the whole equation is the Detroit offensive line.
9:42You're you're moving Panay Sewell from right tackle to left tackle the center.
9:46They brought in Cade Mays from Carolina. But like he's missed a lot of time.
9:51Like he's missed like, I don't know, 11 games the past two years.
9:54Like they kept Christian Mahogany at left guard, which I don't think Lions fans wanted to keep.
9:59Amazing name. Many leather bound books. I feel like it was going to be Ron Burgundy or Christian Mahogany and they chose Ron Burgundy.
10:06Christian Mahogany. Christian Mahogany. It does sound like the first name.
10:10It does sound like a like a character in like the Romaness novels or something.
10:14Yeah, it really does. Christian Rockhard Wood. Yeah. Mahogany is the only guy returning in the same position.
10:19But Panay Sewell. Tate Rallage is a right guard.
10:22The point, though, is like there's a lot of the Lions fell apart because the line fell apart and they have an
10:29injury prone center, which was the problem last year.
10:31Panay Sewell is like their best lineman in the league, but he's moving over to left tackle.
10:36So that's a variable. There are variables in the offensive line.
10:39And Jared Goff with has been good at Detroit because the line's been good.
10:44So there is a world where you like Miller.
10:46Yeah. It's like if two is coming out and plays 17 games and just peppers B.
10:51John Robinson, like he's throwing the HN, there's a world that B.
10:54John runs away with it. I just wanted to put it.
10:58I still think we're all and everyone's in on Gibbs, but I'm just saying it's weird to have a number one pick
11:04where the line is the biggest question. But I think everything else.
11:08Yeah. Falcon's offensive line, not terrible. It's pretty solid.
11:10No one named Christian Mahogany, though. I know. Who's the coolest?
11:13They have Matthew Bergeron. That's fine. It's like a Kurt Vonnegut character.
11:17No way. Yeah, it's not as good. That one was not a crowd pleaser.
11:21Anyway, tier two. I wanted to ask you, should this tier be Christian McCaffrey for the Niners, John Taylor for the Colts and James Cook for the Bills?
11:29Or should it just be McCaffrey? I mean, look, Jonathan Taylor was the best running back in fantasy last year when Daniel Jones was playing.
11:37So I think he deserves to be with McCaffrey.
11:39Yeah, I guess the only question in my mind is, does Cook belong in this tier or not?
11:45He's at the NFL in rushing yards. I know.
11:47And I feel like it's mainly just a reputation and perception argument.
11:51He's boring. Yeah. And he's small, I guess, is the other thing.
11:54But Christian McCaffrey is also small, so I don't know.
11:57James Cook, who has, am I getting this number right off the top of my head?
12:02Yeah, 32 touchdowns in the last 33 games. Yeah, he probably belongs in this tier.
12:06And he's kind of, he's weirdly similar to Jonathan Taylor in the sense that he gets a ton of carries.
12:12And when the offense is rolling, he's going to score a ton of touchdowns.
12:16But he's not really all that involved in the passing game.
12:20But both Taylor and Cook. It's ironic because he can catch.
12:23I don't know. He's a good pass catcher. Jameer Gibbs is not big.
12:27I mean, I feel like, is James Cook smaller than?
12:30I want to say, yeah, he came out, when he came out into the NFL, he was 190 pounds.
12:35So he's sub 200. Yeah. And that was part of the reason he didn't go earlier.
12:40But yeah, I mean. I mean, no one. I think when James Cook came out of the league, I think people even
12:46who are high on him would be surprised to hear that James Cook played the NFL and rushing.
12:52Like just period. A hundred percent. I think these are guys you can take to the first round.
12:57McCaffrey, Taylor, James Cook. I asked about McCaffrey because he really is the, he's the real life Ricky Bobby for fantasy.
13:03First or last. Like I would, I would argue that McCaffrey was one of the three most important players to have on your team.
13:10Four of the last seven years. It was essential to have McCaffrey, but every other year he was the most important player to avoid.
13:17He's literally just either destroyed your season or single handedly dragged you to the semifinals with nothing in between on a season by season basis.
13:25It's insane. Great. So we're taking it. We're not taking him this year.
13:28Is that what you're saying? I kind of think no, I actually kind of am against it.
13:33Like McCaffrey, if you were a restaurant, he'd have only five star reviews or one star reviews.
13:38Like there's no three star view of McCaffrey. And I kind of think this year is a one star review because he
13:45led the league in touches last year. He had 413 touches in the regular season.
13:49I think over 450. If you look at the playoffs too.
13:53And I'm like, okay, well, 413 is like an arbitrary number.
13:56But the other two times he went over that, he played like four games the next year.
14:01And I know that's not exactly some like, well, definitely will repeat.
14:04But I'm like, I am hesitant to just assume that as McCaffrey's 30, which I think is overrated as a holistic number.
14:11For McCaffrey specifically, coming off the most touches in the NFL, I'm a little too.
14:15I still probably want the risk outweighs. At some point, the risk outweighs the reward.
14:20The question's where, right? I was going to say, if you say that, but like are you taking McCaffrey behind Jonathan Taylor?
14:26That's the question. So it's Gibbs, Bijan, Puka Nakua, JSN, and Jamar Chase.
14:30I think those are the top five. The question is, where does McCaffrey slot in after that?
14:35I'm dubious to the cult, so I'm afraid of taking John Taylor.
14:38So maybe I do just have him sixth like everyone else with McCaffrey.
14:42It just makes me a little nervous. Yeah, it's like one of those things where you don't want to have the sixth
14:49pick because then you kind of have to take him.
14:52Yes, that's the thing. Do you want someone else to take him?
14:55The upside is like when he's the best player.
14:58Also, all the efficiency is kind of cut off for McCaffrey too, which, you know, I mean, that was just the thing for the overall Niners.
15:05They couldn't really run the ball for the first time.
15:08D-Devitt has made explosive plays. But the other thing I do want to mention while we're on the Niners is I want
15:15to talk about this story from ESPN. So Kyle Shanahan, who's the head coach of the Niners, was in a car crash in the middle of July.
15:23I'm just going to read from this story from ESPN.
15:26So it says 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan suffered significant injuries in a car crash during a summer break in mid-July that will
15:32leave Shanahan limited as the team opens training camp.
15:35I'm deviating from the article. I think it's weird.
15:37They keep talking about him like it's a player.
15:40They keep talking about limited concussion protocol. He's going to be on the sideline, you know, doing some sprints.
15:46It's weird football. There's weird football speak throughout this.
15:48But anyway, the article continues. So Shanahan broke his nose.
15:51He broke three ribs and he broke his hand.
15:54Kyle Shanahan needed his hand. He needed more than 40 stitches in his face and he suffered a severe concussion.
16:00This was on July 14th when he collided with an SUV near his Northern California home.
16:05And then so the police, the other driver did not suffer any of their injuries.
16:09Drugs and alcohol were ruled out. Both drivers were operative police.
16:12No one was cited for anything. And then John Lynch, the GM, said that Kyle Shanahan's recovering well from the injuries, but he still has lingering concussion symptoms.
16:20And he added that not the broken face, not the stitches, not the nose, not the ribs, not the black eyes.
16:27The reason Shanahan's not at camp yet and they have an interim coach, Chris Forrester, is that Shanahan has this severe concussion
16:33and they're going to treat him like a player until he comes back, which I don't know.
16:38I think that's, I mean, that's pretty notable. Like I actually know a couple of people who had issues with concussions and
16:45car accidents, you know, not saying it's one-on-one with Kyle Shanahan.
16:48But like if you think about the lifestyle of a coach where concussions can affect things like ability to focus for 16
16:54hours a day, like reading, spending all these times in your playbooks, like the things coaches have to do.
17:00One of the things you need for concussions to like recover is sleep.
17:04And you think about the lifestyle of coaches who are sleeping in their offices for three hours a day or something.
17:10I don't know. It's interesting that they don't even want him to come back till he's healthy.
17:15So like, you know, who knows how this will go.
17:18But that is, you didn't really think it could get worse for the Niners.
17:22I know. My dad is a huge Niner fan.
17:24And when this came out, he was like, once again, this team cannot catch a fucking break.
17:29It's not. Well, everyone made the same two jokes, which was where is Brandon Ayuken?
17:34How close was it to the substation? Yes. Which is what everyone's.
17:37Number one. I know. Glad he's okay. Yeah. Totally.
17:40Yeah, of course. Glad he's okay. Relatively okay. The term severe concussion really stood out to me.
17:45I'm like, they didn't just call it a concussion, like severe concussion.
17:49Because if it was a regular concussion and they treated him like a player, he'd be back.
17:54Right. But the fact that, I mean, he's still kind of being eased back into this suggests that things are pretty messed up.
18:0040 stitches in his face. I mean, this is.
18:03Well, it also makes you remember that first of all, the NFL doesn't really even use the term severe concussion.
18:09It's weird to even hear. Yes. That's why it jumped out to me.
18:13Who said it? Severe concussion. Was it Schefter? Yeah, I think so.
18:16First. Yeah. It's one of them. They're like, no, no, we need his brain to work.
18:21They only use the word severe for coaches, not players.
18:24Yeah, exactly. The, the. I know. Maybe they're all severe.
18:27I guess like when a player gets knocked unconscious on the field, I would probably consider that a severe concussion.
18:33Right. Give him some smelling salt so they get back in there, son.
18:37Yeah, yeah, yeah. But no, we'll see. I mean, it is.
18:40The fact that they have an assistant head coach, they have an interim head coach stepping in for training camp is not nothing.
18:47So, you know, we'll see. It's. Yeah, I don't know.
18:49Yeah, I don't know. There's like no analysis off of that.
18:53It's just like not a great start. It's weird to say.
18:56I think things will probably be fine because you never know.
18:59Knock on wood. Hopefully he's OK. But like, yeah, as horrible as it sounds, I'd like to think that in a month everything will be fine.
19:07But sure. But is there any coach more reliant on their head coach to prop up the entire performance of the team?
19:13Totally. I would argue Shannon even more than McVay and the Rams.
19:17But at least it's like, you know, he's been there for a long time.
19:21It's like institutional knowledge. Hopefully like things can can go without him for a little bit.
19:26But yeah, it's like when Steve Kerr left the Warriors for 20 games and they were fucking awesome with with Luke Walton, you know?
19:33Totally. You guys would have. Everyone was thinking the only thing, the only thing I'll add to the Christian McCaffrey discussion, which
19:39is, I think, important and makes me feel a little bit more at about him as he is like the running back
19:46who is like at least in this area of the draft that is less reliant on just pure volume on the ground.
19:52He gets an insane amount of work in the in the past game.
19:56And I think that's what really separates him and half PBR and PBR particularly.
20:00I mean, he had one hundred and twenty nine targets last year, which was almost 30, like basically almost 30 more than
20:06the next closest guy, which is B. John, you got 100.
20:10So he had he averaged three more touches per game than any other running back last year.
20:15On that note, Rich Rebar had another great stat of McCaffrey.
20:18Christian McCaffrey has 100 catches in a season three times.
20:21Yeah. Every other running back in NFL history has done that four times combined.
20:25He had one hundred and two catches last year, which was sixth in the NFL right behind Amon Ross St.
20:31Brown. He's basically Amon Ross St. Brown and he runs in the passing game.
20:35And he also gets like three hundred carries like it's insane.
20:38What like they how they use him. It's basically Kyle Shanahan, like nihilistic sort of point of view.
20:44I don't know who's going to be alive next week, so I can't tell you who's which he was kind of right.
20:50You know, look, maybe he was on to something with who knows if I'll be alive on Sunday, but he kind of
20:56utilizes his running back in that way, too. We don't know if tomorrow we have tomorrow.
21:01So let's just go ahead and give this guy 30 touches every game.
21:05So, yeah, I think even though like the injury risk is probably as high as you can imagine with any player at
21:11this point in the NFL, you still the value or the potential value that he brings, I think, is worth the risk
21:18because he could win you your league. You know what I'm thinking of?
21:22I just watched Interstellar again because of the Odyssey.
21:24And you know that scene where he's like hitting him in the head with the space suit and he's like, Dr.
21:31Man, there's a 50 percent chance you'll kill yourself.
21:33He's like, those are the best odds I've had in years.
21:36It just like smashes the thing. I'm like, isn't that kind of McCaffrey?
21:40Like if you're kind of like really desperate for a win, part of me is like there's a 50 percent chance you
21:47nuke your league in the first round. But I'm like, fuck it.
21:50If you take McCaffrey and he does it, he has no one.
21:54McCaffrey is her fourth place or fifth place. Like try to win your league.
21:58He's only been a top three running. I think he's been by points per game, like number one or two every year.
22:04He's played more than like seven games. Yeah. So.
22:07So I think he's properly rated, even though. Okay.
22:10So McCaffrey Taylor. Yeah. Those are guys in the first round.
22:13The next one are guys that I think I don't know exactly how to define it.
22:18Guys you could take early round two and you'd probably be happy with.
22:21These are guys I think of as having like obvious league winning upside, but also have an asterisk or two holding them back.
22:28Ashton Gentry running back for the Raiders. Saquon Barkley running back for the Eagles.
22:32Kenneth Walker running back for the Chiefs. Omerian Hampton for the Chargers.
22:36Devon A. Chan for the Dolphins. And then Chase Brown for the Bengals.
22:40This is a funny category. This is a funny grouping because a couple of these guys are like Hall of Fame, former top three fantasy picks.
22:47They're still at the peak of their powers in theory on good teams.
22:51I'm talking about like Saquon and Derrick Henry. And then you have like Chase Brown or like Omerian Hampton, who's very unproven.
22:58Chase Brown. It's actually insane. It's a weird list because you could make the case that Saquon and Derrick Henry should probably
23:04just like bump up to next to James Cook.
23:07Like are James Cook and Derrick Henry and Saquon not in the same tier?
23:11That doesn't really feel right to me. Yes. Even Ashton Gentry, you know, I think Henry and Saquon, to be honest, are
23:17perfectly fine end of first round picks. Like especially both of them.
23:21And I would say Gentry as well. Gentry is going 11th in ADP.
23:25So whether you're in a 10 team or a 12 team league, kind of like end of first round.
23:30But what I think what the first round, you know, we say all the time, you know, you can't win your league in the first round.
23:38You can lose it. You want consistency and you want to be able to bank on your first round pick, right?
23:44You want to kind of know it's going to be fine when you're spending that much money or that much capital on him.
23:51I think Ashton Gentry, again, 11th in ADP. He's the only guy in the first round that's not proven.
23:56That is a projection of what could happen and not a bet on what has happened.
24:01And it's like, say, you know, Jonathan Taylor, Amonra, JSN, Puka, McCaffrey, Chase, B.
24:05John Gibbs. All guys are like, I know what they can do.
24:09Even Derrick Henry and Saquon, you're like, I know what they can do.
24:13Gentry, who I am kind of obsessed with this year because I have stupid offseason brain where I'm like all excited about
24:19something I haven't seen yet when I should probably just take Saquon Barkley.
24:23But the curious thing about Ashton Gentry is that the team was so bad last year and he was fine that you're
24:29like, man, if the team is even middling, how good can he be?
24:33There's such crazy stats about how bad the Raiders were.
24:36Like Solak, Ben Solak had one. Since 2010, a running back has reached 100 carries in a season 737 times.
24:42Ashton Gentry's yards before contact last year ranked 734th.
24:45734th. I mean, it's just- 734 to 737. It just could not have been worse.
24:49And then yet when you look at when he was not hit behind the line of scrimmage, when Gentry had like a
24:55normal carry, he was first in yards after contact per carry.
24:59Give him one step. Yes. All he needs is one step and he is gone.
25:03The reason why I'm comfortable having him in the first round next to all these other people who are very proven is a few reasons.
25:10One, I'm like, I don't care about like his overall numbers last year when you watch him and he had room.
25:17He looked fucking good and he is good and I'm convinced he's great.
25:20Two, the volume is outstanding. If you look at like just backfield carry share, all that stuff like red zone, he is
25:27first in the NFL in terms of like backfield carries inside the 10 yard line.
25:31He's first in the NFL. He's above Derek. Well, with the coaching staff that included Pete Carroll's sons that was flushed and
25:38kind of basically like the whole Raiders season is pinned on the coaching staff to be clear.
25:43I don't know if Kubiak has said he wants to split maybe.
25:46Oh, I don't. I, I'm not worried about that at all.
25:50Like I think Ashton Gentry is capable of doing everything and when we'll get everything.
25:54Um, and then I'll, and obviously factoring in now Kubiak has a play caller and a revamped offensive line.
26:00I just feel like this has all the makings of next year.
26:03Gentry is the fifth pick in drafts and it's a little bit of a risk, I suppose, because everybody else is reliable,
26:10but I'm willing to take the risk. I think.
26:12Yeah. Yeah. I mean, well said, well said. I want to know what you think because for two reasons, one, a lot
26:19of these like year two running backs that explode are round two year two running backs that were first run picks are
26:25like traditionally one of the big easiest players to spot that just exploded to year two and kind of become league winning players.
26:32McCaffrey being a good example in 2019. Where do you land on this?
26:36Cause Clint Kubiak, who's the Seahawks offensive coordinator took over from a year before the Seahawks offensive line and run game was a mess.
26:43And the coach, the coordinator before him, Ryan Grubb kind of had a bad scheme and the Seahawks offensive line was like a bottom five unit.
26:50And then Clint Kubiak came in and went, took them from bad to average.
26:55And then really that unlocked everything for the Seahawks offense along with JSN and the DK Metcalf trade.
27:00And so now you have Clint Kubiak going to the Raiders again.
27:03And I'm curious, how much do you think that's like, like just copy paste?
27:07Like, Oh, he'll just make this offensive line a good again for the Raiders.
27:12Because there are a lot of ifs with the JT thing.
27:15Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, there's a million variables here, but I do think just like the one thing I
27:21keep thinking about with that, that, that Ben Solek stat, which was, you know, basically as bad as you can get in terms of yards before contact.
27:29I do think that Kubiak scheme, the way that he sequences plays, the improvements they'll make on the offensive line.
27:35They go, well, they went and got Tyler Linderbaum.
27:38And I think he could be a real linchpin for like improvement on that defense or on offense.
27:43We've seen in the past in these, you know, sort of wide zone offenses that the center is really crucial to get it.
27:50You know, basically crossing the face of a defender and then sealing him, hooking him and sealing him for away from the
27:56play is like such a massive part when you're, when you're going on these zone run game runs where basically you're trying
28:03to stretch the defense laterally at just start. And if you, if you don't have a center that can get in front
28:09of his guy and kind of seal him off, that can like make the whole thing collapse.
28:14And so there's a chance this is really important and their offensive line improves a lot, but most, most importantly, like they just start running the ball better.
28:22And they also, by the way, might have like a better, um, you know, like more dedication to it.
28:28Just the way that Kubiak's offenses have kind of played over the years.
28:32I think it's just a huge part. Like Kubiak's dad was one of the originators of the, of the zone game.
28:38Like he invented zone again. Yeah. Blocking before them was man.
28:41You, a person gets a guy. Zone running. They invented like Mike Shanahan and Gary Kubiak and Alex Gibbs in the late
28:48eighties, early nineties invented zone running, which was basically the lineman goes to a space and blocks the area and you block whoever shows up.
28:55But the point of it was to make cornerbacks tackle.
28:58They basically were like all the X's, all the X's and O's on the board can't tackle equally.
29:03Get the running. It's reverse engineering how to make the cornerbacks tackle.
29:07And to your point, I keep thinking about also Gary Kubiak click alive and is definitely consulting for this team.
29:13All these guys have their dads helping. Like I'm just saying, we don't talk.
29:17Mike Shannon still helps the Niners. Gary Kubiak still helps the sons.
29:20Yeah. All these dads helped. Gary Kubiak is younger than like five NFL coaches.
29:24He could be, he'd be the fifth youngest fucking guy who ran for president if Gary Kubiak ran.
29:30They helped their sons. Dude, Jim and John Harbaugh both talked to their dad every day.
29:34So I'm just saying Gary Kubiak invented this shit.
29:37And to that point, DK, I keep thinking about Ashton Gentry making cornerbacks miss tackles.
29:41Like that is what I do keep thinking about.
29:44I like Gentry just getting put on all these tack cornerbacks who can't fucking tackle.
29:49Just the, you know, like if they're, if they're going to be, and I don't know exactly how they're going to design the run game.
29:56Maybe they don't do as much zone as you expect, blah, blah, blah.
30:00There's, there's all these caveats, but if they do focus heavily on getting him kind of in space and letting him, basically
30:06the idea is yes, you want to get corners tackle, but also you want the defense to overplay to the outside and
30:13then opens up cut lanes down the field. And I just feel like Gentry is going to be better at like, like,
30:19like I mentioned before, if he has a couple of steps, he can kind of get his momentum going and then cut
30:26downfield juke break tackles, rip through arm tackles. That kind of thing is like what he's so good at.
30:31If he's like just getting hit in the backfield every time, that's just not his game.
30:36That's like a Derek Henry style thing. He just doesn't have the ability to make guys miss before the line of scrimmage basically.
30:43But I do think every time we saw him get a little bit of daylight last year, he looked like he was shot out of a cannon.
30:51It's kind of the same deal with Omar and Hampton, I think too.
30:54But yeah, I'm excited about what he can do in this offense.
30:58I do think I agree with you, Craig, that it's a massive projection compared to these other guys though.
31:04Yeah. Look, it doesn't, Gentry in the NFL does not look like Gentry in the Mountain West, but you know what?
31:10It's not as big of a gap as I maybe thought.
31:13Like Gentry's best plays last year against NFL defensive players.
31:16He was still dudes were, he was fucking throwing dudes off him.
31:19Like it still took two or three guys to get him down.
31:23He has a ridiculous like center of gravity on him that did translate to the NFL.
31:28So I'm convinced he's great. So we have Gentry as a fringe first, second round pick, you know, kind of in that
31:34range of you took Ashton Gentry over Justin Jefferson.
31:37I don't think anyone would think you're crazy. He also had 55 catches, by the way.
31:41He's a great receiver. He's not a zero in the receiving game.
31:45He was a receiver in high school. He was a receiver in high school, wasn't he?
31:50In Italy, he played at the Volcano High School.
31:52Playing in the giant. Military High School. You know what I'm talking about.
31:56Google Ashton Gentry was a Volcano High School, right?
31:59Because his dad was in the military. Yeah. Oh, my God.
32:02That's that field is crazy. Like in the caldera of a fucking at Paul Kane.
32:06The caldera. Anyway. OK, so Derek Henry, anyone else in this?
32:10I want to talk about Ken Walker because Ken Walker is super MVP for Seattle Left.
32:14Goes to Kansas City. I feel like we have wish casted a better, cooler, explosive running back on the Kansas City for six years now.
32:22And now we finally have it. And DK, is it like too little too late because the Chiefs aren't cool anymore?
32:28Do you think that Ken Walker is going to be?
32:31I think it makes it a buy opportunity here because people are really bored of the Chiefs offense.
32:36There's, you know, they've been kind of an ugly offense to watch the last few years.
32:41Disgusting. Especially relative to what like the early days of Pat Mahomes where he was throwing, you know, 50 plus touchdowns and just going absolutely bonkers.
32:48Can I give you a stat on that to just put a button on it?
32:53Yeah. People probably know this, but Rich Rebar, another Rich Rebar has so many great stats at Warren Shrebsite.
32:58But Kansas City had the few tied with the Vikings for the fewest touchdowns scored from outside the red zone last year.
33:05Period. Like they had for the entire season touchdowns from outside the 20 yard line.
33:09And then Kansas City running backs have one touchdown from outside the red zone.
33:13The past three seasons combined. Ken Walker alone has more than that.
33:17But the point being the Kansas City, like I know we keep saying they're not explosive anymore.
33:22They literally have the worst team in the NFL scoring from outside the red zone.
33:26Yeah. And I think that's why they've made a priority to sign Kenneth Walker.
33:30He's an explosive runner. I think he is. He's a tackle breaking guy.
33:34He can, he can create explosive big plays on the ground.
33:38I think that's massive for him. I think there's a chance that we see.
33:42I mean, I'm going back and looking at Kareem Hunt's numbers early on, early career Kareem Hunt.
33:47I know this was a 2017, but like he had 1300 yards, eight touchdowns.
33:51He was used in the passing game. I do think that is what Ken Walker's role will be.
33:56And he's way faster than Kareem Hunt ever was.
33:59So, you know, if you look at missed tackles forced last year, Kenneth Walker was number one, according to fantasy points.
34:05I mean, Kareem Hunt led the league in rushing his rookie year.
34:08Yeah. So I think this is the way that we can envision it.
34:12That is the upside play. Obviously the down, the, the, the bear like version of this is that he is continues to be injury prone.
34:20Patrick Mahomes is in himself. The offense continues to be really kind of sluggish and, you know, the, and it just doesn't play out that way.
34:27But I do think he has the talent. Ken Walker has the talent to be a really high end fantasy option.
34:33And I think they're going to give him the volume in this, in this offense.
34:38I mean, who, who is he competing with against for touches this year?
34:42It's like Amari DiMarcado and some other random dudes in that backfield.
34:45I think he's going to get the vast majority of the touches.
34:49It is funny that like, not, not long ago, Clyde Edwards Hilaire was the, it was a first round pick in fantasy.
34:55And I don't know what it is about the Kenneth Walker thing that does not fully excite me the way I think I thought it would.
35:03I don't really know what it is, but like, I guess it's that the Chiefs are just maybe in a different era now.
35:10And Mahomes has an ACL injury. The offensive line is still not good.
35:13And this team is just way less explosive and less cool.
35:17And I feel they've been surpassed by like five other, 10 other offenses that are just way cooler than them now.
35:23But there's something about Kenneth Walker on the Chiefs that two, three years ago, I would have freaked out at.
35:29And I'm kind of not now. I think the real answer is it's about Andy Reid and that Andy Reid, who's quietly, is he almost 70 years old?
35:37Andy Reid. Older than Gary Kubiak. Yeah. Andy Reid was at the cutting edge of offense and people were stealing ideas from Andy Reid for a long time.
35:45And that has not been quite as true the last four years.
35:49And like, it's not a knock on Andy Reid because he's a Hall of Fame coach.
35:53And again, he's been doing this for 26 years.
35:56It's like a Belichick thing. It's like, oh, he fell off.
35:59Like staying at the top that long is incredible.
36:02But the league and the rules and the trends, when the Chiefs were at their most successful with Mahomes, the league was
36:08bending toward what Andy Reid has been specialized in for so long.
36:12Like everything happening with receivers, with spacing, with like the running game trickling into it, the passing game becoming an extension of
36:18the running game and being like these quick West Coast things.
36:22That's like Andy Reid's specialty. And as the league has drifted away from that back to, you know what's better than an extension of the running game?
36:30The running game. As the running game is actually back and being under-centered and all these things and the league has drifted
36:36away from Andy Reid's specialty, the Chiefs have fallen off.
36:39And so no one's stealing ideas from them anymore.
36:42And so that I think is what's happening is they're not explosive anymore because the guys who were like at the true
36:48cutting edge are like 30 years his junior. Like Andy, like, you know, Sean McVay or Kyle Shanahan.
36:53So I think the Chiefs just, they're middle of the road now schematically instead of cutting edge.
36:58And then they also got rid of Tyreek Hill.
37:01And so it was much cooler when they had like the fastest player ever and the best receiving tight end ever.
37:07And then you added Clyde Edwards-Alaire to it. We're like, oh, cool.
37:11But he wasn't that athletic of a guy, Clyde.
37:13You know what I mean? Right. Now he's supposed to be the straw that stirs the drink because frankly, everyone else in
37:20the Chiefs offense is pretty limited other than Ken Walker.
37:23Would you be more surprised if at the end of this upcoming season, Kenneth Walker is a top five fantasy running back or a fringe top 25?
37:31Like, I think if you take health out of it, I'd be more surprised if he was fringe top 25.
37:37I think he's that good. I just think the health thing is the major question mark as always.
37:42And the Chiefs have a strong offensive line. Like this is where sometimes you have to recalibrate what you think.
37:48Do you guys think of the Chiefs offensive line as a better offensive line than Detroit?
37:52Right. No, I don't. But they are like the Chiefs have way better interior offensive line.
37:57Interior. Yes. Their tackle situation is a mess. But it's weird.
38:00Well, it's weird because Josh Simmons is the left tackle and he's like really good, but also ghosted the team for like
38:07five weeks and no one knew what to do.
38:09Like we don't know. It's just a strange situation.
38:12But I think the Chiefs might be like a running game.
38:15The key to me is that Ken Walker is incredible as a receiver for the screens.
38:20And Andy Reid's huge on screen design still. And Ken Walker is great on that.
38:24And I think that he's going to get a lot of design passes, not just check downs.
38:29But we'll see. I guess what it comes down to it is would you rather have Ken Walker or like Nico Collins, DK?
38:36I think Ken Walker. Yeah, I think so too.
38:39I think he's properly ranked where he is. Do we want to move Henry and Saquon and Gentie up into the other tier or no?
38:46I think so. Just sheerly out of respect? I think Gentie, Barkley, Henry are in a different tier than these next guys.
38:53You think Gentie, Barkley, Henry are in the tier with CMC, Taylor, James Cook?
38:57No, I think they should just be their own tier.
39:00Their own tier? Yeah. Interesting. And then the next tier would be what?
39:04Marion Hampton, Devon A-chan and Chase Brown. Walker, Hampton, A-chan.
39:07Oh, interesting. Brown. That's probably right. Maybe it's splitting hairs a little.
39:10Is there a world in which you're taking Chase Brown over Saquon?
39:14No. So then, there you go. I doubt it, yeah.
39:17But there is a world where you're taking Saquon over James Cook.
39:20So what are we saying in practice here? So the guys you take number one are Gibbs or B.
39:26John Robinson. And then first rounders for sure are like Christian McCaffrey, John Taylor, and James Cook.
39:31Yep. And then we're saying the top of round two, the running backs you should be thinking about are, like if you're
39:37the first pick of round two, you're thinking about Ashton Gentry, Saquon.
39:41Obviously, I like Derek Henry, but I don't think you even have to take him there.
39:45But Henry, and then we're saying that toward the end of round two, you'd be really happy if you got Ken Walker, O'Mearian Hampton, Devon A.
39:53Chan, Chase Brown. Yep. Okay. That actually sounds right.
39:56Yeah. Does that sound right to you, DK? Yeah.
39:58O'Mearian Hampton should not be with Saquon, even though I love O'Mearian Hampton.
40:02Like, you just don't know. It's funny because all we did while you were gone, Craig, was glaze the Chargers.
40:08And yet, O'Mearian Hampton as a player individually, I'm so much more confident in Ashton Gentie than I am in O'Mearian Hampton as a player.
40:15But everything about O'Mearian Hampton's surroundings are so much better.
40:18Like, if Ashton Gentie and O'Mearian Hampton were flipped.
40:21Oh, yeah. Ashton Gentie's like, what? He'd be like the fourth pick in the fucking draft.
40:26Yeah. I mean, like, I probably might take him over McCaffrey with the sixth pick.
40:30But because they're flipped, I don't know what to do with either of them.
40:34There's so much wish casting that Hampton could be everything we want him to be, or the Raiders can.
40:40But no, I agree that, yeah. Hampton's exciting. Hampton is one of the more polarizing.
40:44He's probably the most polarizing player of the top 20, just in terms of like, what do you do with him?
40:50Because there's all this like, well, how much work is he really going to get?
40:55Keaton Mitchell's there. Like, is he actually even good?
40:57All the underlying metrics suggest that he might not even be good.
41:01Wait, can we do a fun game called DK?
41:04Am I making this up or did this really happen?
41:06Because you have not the greatest memory anymore? Sure.
41:09True or false? Najihara's kind of outplayed O'Mearian Hampton.
41:12Even after the eye injury. That can't be true.
41:14That can't be. That simply can't be real. Like Najihara's like, maybe.
41:18A little? That's not what I remember. For five seconds?
41:21I would say probably not. Yeah. All three games?
41:23Yeah. No, Najihara's on a team currently? Well, no, he blew out his Achilles after hurting his eye.
41:29But, you know. No, but I think more. Hampton, I think his first team all bonk.
41:33Which is just, you know, people are six to midnight for him.
41:37But the guy that I actually want to ask you.
41:40We have not talked about this guy. And I don't know what to do with him.
41:45Is Devon Achan. And we have Devon Achan for the Miami Dolphins.
41:48Back to back with Chase Brown for the Bengals.
41:51And I think this is also perfect to have these guys back to back.
41:55Because they're completely opposite. Devon Achan is the sexiest running back imaginable.
41:58He's the fastest running back in the NFL. He's a genuinely elite receiver.
42:02He actually has good running back skills. Like, he's good vision.
42:06He's actually good between the tackles for someone who weighs like 185 pounds or whatever he does.
42:11Like, he has all the running back skills. All the running back speed.
42:14On the absolute worst team imaginable. And the Dolphins are favored to have the worst record in the NFL.
42:20And they are, like, accused of tanking. And the Dolphins are the vaguest favorite to get the number one pick.
42:26And then you have Chase Brown, who's frankly probably one of the more average skill sets in the NFL for running back.
42:32In the absolute sexiest environment imaginable on Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase.
42:36In the coolest offense for an average player. Or an elite player in the worst offense in the NFL, maybe.
42:42And I have no idea how the fuck I'm supposed to look at those guys next to each other.
42:47I always lean towards, I'd rather have the guy on the good team, I think.
42:52You know, it's wild. Before it starts, you're, like, giving the good player.
42:56And then the season starts and you're, like, God, I wish I had the guy.
43:00I don't think I would have ever guessed this, but I'm looking, just literally looking at receptions.
43:05Chase Brown had more receptions last year than Devon A.
43:08Chan. The tough thing about these two guys is, like, there is no discount for them.
43:13Like, Devon A. Chan is going 13th overall and Chase Brown is going 15th.
43:17I was going to come into this episode and be like, I'm into Chase Brown.
43:21He's underrated, blah, blah. 15th is not underrated, man.
43:2415th is about as fucking high as he can be.
43:27Like, the thing about him is when he's actually playing with Joe Burrow, he's fantastic.
43:31And I think there's no bigger gap in reputation versus production than Chase Brown.
43:35Yeah. Because nobody thinks about him or talks about him.
43:38But if you just look at last year, he closed 2025.
43:41He played six games with Burrow. In those six games, he was the RB2 in fantasy, Chase Brown.
43:47He was getting 20 touches a game. He had eight touchdowns in six games.
43:51And it's funny because if you go back the year before that even, it's kind of the exact same thing.
43:57He finished his 2024 season with, like, eight games with Joe Burrow when he kind of became a starter.
44:02He was the RB5 over that stretch. So you're like, fuck, man.
44:06Every time this guy's playing with Joe Burrow, he's a top five running back.
44:10And there's almost no competition. A lot of that is defenses being like, does Burrow have the patience to dink and dunk his way down the field?
44:18Like, if we take away Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins, can we just make Burrow hold on and hold?
44:23Is he actually going to have the patience to check it out?
44:27He is by far the third thing. The fourth thing you are thinking about if you're a defense.
44:32You're like, fuck, Jamar Chase, Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins.
44:35Oh, yeah. I guess Chase Brown's over there. Yeah.
44:38You pick your poison at every defense. It's like him.
44:40We're going to pick him. And he's just like top five every time he starts and finishes a game with Joe Burrow.
44:47It's weird. Yeah. He was over 300 touches last year.
44:50Quietly. He was the RB2 with Burrow. Two. Two.
44:53Two. I think you got to take Chase Brown over Devon HN.
44:56It's as painful as that sounds. I don't have it ranked that way right now, but just talking about it, I think I got to switch it.
45:04It's weird because let me ask if the weird thing about ranking HN2 is that the Dolphins are like the Cardinals.
45:10God, I can't say Dolphins. Even I heard at that time.
45:13Dolphins. Dolphins. Dolphins. Dolphins. Dolphins. Is that a New York accent or do I just have a speech impediment?
45:19It's New York. Dolphins. Golf. The Dolphins. Golf. I don't know why that.
45:23Almond. Almond. That's, I'm right. You're not. Encourage. Almond.
45:25Do I pronounce the letter that's in the word?
45:28Yeah. Oh, don't give me. Don't fucking give me that.
45:31Okay. Most of the time. Like English is not a trillion.
45:34Most of the time. Please. Okay. Find me another word that an L is in the second letter and you don't pronounce it.
45:41Palm. Second letter. In your hand. Second letter of the word.
45:44Third letter. But it's, what? But it's the sound.
45:47Palm. No. A-L-M and almond. Palm. It's the same structure.
45:50Also, it's palm. It's not palm. So you're not even saying that right.
45:54See, really? Palm. There's no way. I've never done it in my life.
45:57Palm? You say L? Palm of your hand. Palm of your hand.
46:01You put on a palm. Lip balm. Palm. Palm of your head.
46:05Lip balm. Palm of your head. Yeah, palm. Palm of your hand.
46:08You're starting to sound like you're from Boston. Palm.
46:11Palm. What's that? Palm of your- Chicken palm. I've never said the L one.
46:15Palm of your hand. Palm. Palm. That's wild. Do you say palm trees?
46:19Palm trees. Oh. What? Palm trees. That's the same word.
46:22You know why? I wonder if that's because- Palm trees.
46:25I do say palm trees. Yeah. But I don't say palm of your hand.
46:29Shit. Oh, wow. All right. I need to know if this is a New King or New York thing.
46:34Spend some time tonight in bed. Think about that.
46:37Ponder the universe. Shit. Anyway, I don't want Devon H.
46:40I- The one thing I'll say is it's weird because- Can I just say one thing about the chance that we regret it?
46:47Okay. You know how like Lamar, the Ravens signed Derrick Henry?
46:50And I think we accurately were like- That was the coolest thunder lightning backfield in NFL history.
46:55We're like, this is thunder and lightning. Lamar's the fastest quarterback.
46:58Derrick Henry's a unique player. Like there's never been anything like this.
47:02There's never been anything in NFL history like a Malik Willis, Devon H.
47:05and Reid option or whatever. Like that's not quite as sexy.
47:09But Malik Willis is the fastest quarterback in the NFL.
47:12And Devon H. is the fastest running back. I would care more if the Dolphins offensive line wasn't so whack and young and inexperienced.
47:19But I keep wondering about like if the Dolphins are going to suck.
47:22And then they'll be down so much every fourth quarter that like Devon H.
47:27is just going to catch all these checkdowns. But the idea of telling people, hey, you got one fantasy league you care about.
47:33Take Devon H. Because he's so good that when they're down 21 in the fourth quarter, he'll get all these checkdowns.
47:39Like I just- The idea of telling people that feels insane.
47:43So I don't know. Yeah, I also just don't know what to make of Bobby Slowick offensive coordinator.
47:48And Kevin Petulo, who was thrown overboard by the Eagles.
47:51I know, Petulo being there. Wait, and is Shea Waldron in Miami or is he in Jacksonville?
47:56He's in Jacksonville. Fade everyone. He's been promoted this year, guys.
47:59Yeah, I don't know. Anyway. The other thing about Cincinnati is like they didn't- They're not- They clearly think it's Chase Brown.
48:06They have- It's still just Samaj P. Ryan, who's 30, and Taj Brooks.
48:09Like- Yep. It's Chase Brown's world. Yeah, that's true.
48:12It's weird. I know. I have like a blind spot with Chase Brown.
48:16Let me like- So these are all second round players.
48:19These are all- If you got them in the second round, at the end of the second round, if Ken Walker, Hampton, H.
48:26Shannon Brown fell, you'd feel great. But paying the price they're going at feels a little weird.
48:31If Chase Brown won the Heisman at Ohio State and was a first round pick and then had the exact same first
48:37three years of his career that he had just had, would he be a first round draft break in fantasy?
48:43Yes. If he won the Heisman at Ohio State?
48:46100%. Same exact statistics on the Bengals. Same situation.
48:48He's probably going eighth. If not higher. Yeah, probably.
48:51But he didn't, Craig. That's fair. Because that matters.
48:54That means like he's not a- it's an environment thing, not necessarily a skill thing.
48:58And if he won the Heisman, I'm assuming he'd have better skill.

49:53The next tier here is, so we have Josh Jacobs.
49:56We have Jeremiah Love for the Cardinals. We have Breece Hall for the Jets.
50:00Javante Williams for the Cowboys. Kyron Williams for the Rams.
50:03And then, I don't know, we have to edit there.
50:06Because then we have Travis, the artist formerly known as Travis Etienne, who's now Travis Etienne for the Saints.
50:12DeAndre Swift for the Bears. David Montgomery for the Texans.
50:15I kind of think we should cleave it somewhere in the middle there.
50:19These guys are all kind of lead backs with just multiple questions about them.
50:23Yeah, it's starting to get icky. I think there's a really clean top 12 at running back, and then you start to get worried.
50:30People are already pissed about Nate Hackett's quotes about Jeremiah Love.
50:33It's already everyone just mad. Just trolling everyone. These coaches can't help themselves.
50:37He was like, yeah, I'm super excited about James Conner getting in here.
50:41Yeah. You know, Jeremiah Love, he's definitely a rookie.
50:43It's like, okay, come on, guy. I wonder, is there any chance that second half of the season Jeremiah Love's the fifth best running back in fantasy?
50:51Is there any chance of that? Of course. I just think the Cardinals need to be better than I think.
50:57Because the question is just about Matt LaFleur. What if Matt LaFleur was a great coach?
51:02Sorry, I keep getting it wrong. Mike LaFleur. Matt's little brother.
51:05God damn it. I should know that as a little brother.
51:08But it's just that. Mike LaFleur is a way better coach than we think.
51:12His only stint as a coordinator was for the Jazz of Zach Wilson.
51:16I won't punish him because I think Zach Wilson sucks.
51:19My issue with the Cardinals and Mike LaFleur is they have the hardest schedule in the NFL for Warren Sharp.
51:25I don't know if they're favored to win any games.
51:28Maybe like two of the 17. My issue is everyone in the NFC West knows what Mike LaFleur is trying to do better than he does.
51:36Like Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan have a much better understanding of what Mike LaFleur is trying to do on offense than Mike LaFleur does.
51:43And then there's Mike McDonald who just beats the shit out of McVay or it certainly beats the shit out of Shanahan every year.
51:50And so my issue is trying to run a system like you're copying.
51:54I don't know. It's like trying to start a phone company and challenge Apple like Michael for having a set up shop
52:00in the NFC West is like terrible. And you look at everything they're doing and I just I think that's a very
52:07difficult situation to have success with with Arizona. But having said that maybe he's a great coach but I'm just very dubious
52:13that they go out there and also want to put a ton of tread on the tires for Jeremiah Love in a
52:20season that the Cardinals are tanking and probably want to go get a quarterback man.
52:24Like they probably want like 2027 assets. So I'm out on Jeremiah Love.
52:28I feel like long term he's going to have a great career but I feel like this is not what good rookie years look like.
52:35I don't know. But also Gentry's good for the second half.
52:38I don't like he's kind of one of those guys that's probably priced around where he's his ceiling is for this year
52:45because you know like environment wise the Cardinals could be really really bad.
52:49Like they did just resign. They renegotiated a contract with Jacoby Brissett.
52:52So I think he's going to be the starter probably the majority of the season.
52:57But you know they're playing a really really hard schedule.
53:00I think that could even though last year they played a ton of plays and had a ton of passes and things like that.
53:07There's probably going to be fewer possessions. They're not going to move the ball that well.
53:11This is going to be a not very good team.
53:14And then later in the season they might just see what's going on with Carson Beck and then that could be really bad.
53:21Dude, the teams the Cardinals have to play. Chargers week one.
53:24Seahawks week two. Niners week three. The Giants week four.
53:27They're only respite. And then it's Lions, Rams, Broncos, Cowboys, Seahawks, Rams, Chiefs.
53:31We should do an episode in like late August where we've we identify the 10 players we hate the most this season
53:38and determine which one of them is going to be great.
53:41Or just what if you built the whole plane out of it?
53:44What if you just solely made a team out of the players we don't like?
53:49And then that was the key. Like three of them are on the Cardinals.
53:53But yeah, the Costanza team. Yeah, just stack the Cardinals.
53:56Anyone else in this tier stand out to you guys?
53:59I kind of wanted to talk about Javante Williams a little bit who I don't want to say is flying under the
54:05radar because I feel like people know he had a great season last year.
54:09And again, like his prices or where he's going in draft is like fine.
54:13It's like average. He's going. He's going 31st. So like third, fourth round, which maybe even feels a little bit steep.
54:20But like Javante Williams, 26 years old. Last year he had 1,200 yards.
54:23And 13 touchdowns on the Cowboys. Just kind of stepped in.
54:27Was the guy. Looked good. Was good. The Cowboys offensive line seems to be not back to where it used to be with Zeke, but is like improving.
54:35And as a guy who was just always on the field, he was like seventh in goal to go rushing attempts.
54:41He was seventh in snaps inside the five. He was ninth in rushing attempts per game.
54:46He was also fifth in yards after contact per carry.
54:49Like Javante Williams was very good last year on an offense that I trust with a quarterback that I trust in an environment that I trust.
54:56And I guess other than, you know, he had significant injuries earlier in his career, but I'm kind of like, is Javante Williams safe?
55:03Especially because you don't, there's not a lot of competition behind him.
55:07I mean, I think Jaden Blue is kind of projected as the number two guy there.
55:12They have Phil Moffa, Malik Davis, Israel Bonaconda, just a bunch of sort of rando guys.
55:16Um, and Jaden Blue is not the same type of running back.
55:20He's, he's more of like a change of pace type guy.
55:23So yeah, I think Jaden Blue is a change of pace electric game breaker.
55:27He's also getting patted on the back because he's more mature than he was last season when Jaden Blue, uh, he missed
55:34a practice in the middle of October because his custom Nike cleats, I think it was like Nike Balenciaga.
55:39They didn't fit. So he couldn't play. So he was like, I can't practice today.
55:44And like, they're like, you know what? The maturity is coming along.
55:47You think that's fair, Craig? Well, look, if the Balenciaga don't fit, what are you going to do?
55:52You're not going to show up with. That was what Johnny Cockard said.
55:56Yeah. So you must, you must quit. So, uh, the, I, to your point, I think that people look at it and
56:03like, oh, this is like a fragile backfield. Like Javante Williams could lose his job.
56:07But I'm like, I don't know. I think the Cowboys are pretty happy with the bell cow from top down.
56:13I think Jerry Jones, I think, and then frankly, Schottenheimer, uh, Brian Schottenheimer.
56:17I don't know. All these coaches seem pretty comfortable giving me a ton of carries.
56:21It's weird to think the Cowboys could be the best offense in the NFL on that.
56:26They're running back for the Cowboys could just be like outside the top 40 picks.
56:30Yeah. They signed him to an extension. He didn't, he like didn't catch a lot of passes last year, but he's a guy who has in the past.
56:39Like he's had 50 catch seasons, Javante Williams. So this is something I didn't know about Javante Williams.
56:44Once again, citing Rich Rebar, he has great stuff.
56:47If Javante Williams, I didn't realize is one of the least productive receivers ever for running back.
56:52If you just look at guys who had 25 catches in a season, Javante Williams last year had under four yards a
56:58catch, which is the second worst mark ever, which I'm not going to lie.
57:02I didn't realize that he was that bad with the ball in space.
57:06Like the year before that, he averaged 6.7 per catch.
57:09Okay. No. Can we do 6.7, 6.7? We're not engaging anymore with that.
57:13That part. That part? Yeah. I actually agree. Javante stands out as he's like the James Cook guy.
57:18Yeah. I'm just like, I don't know. He'll have the exact same season.
57:22It's like there's every year there's one guy at each position who's regression proof and will actually just be, do the exact same thing.
57:29Someone's going to do it. I like, I look at him and I'm like, I guess once again, other than maybe you're,
57:35you're worried he's going to get hurt. I don't see like a lot of issues there.
57:40I'm like, yeah, I guess I'll just take them.
57:43So does this tier end? We have Josh Jacobs, Jeremiah Love, Brees Hall, who, not for me.
57:48Javante Williams, Kyron Williams. And do we end the tier there?
57:51Probably. And we cut off ETN, Swift, and Montgomery.
57:54We had Travis H in there. But I mean, Alvin Kamara's like not retiring.
57:58We kind of thought he was. I mean, Alvin Kamara.
58:01The Saints thought he was. Dude, the idea that Alvin- Everyone thought he was.
58:05Well, apparently Gail Benson, the owner of the Saints, got involved and she wanted him to stay because she understands about selling tickets, which she's right.
58:12My thing is, are you pulling Alvin Kamara on passing downs?
58:16Like, is he going to be less than the third down back?
58:19I'm like, no way. Right? So are you pulling Alvin Kamara at the goal line?
58:24There's a chance that Travis H. Yeah. Like, there's a chance that Travis H.
58:28And you have to play him every. And again, I'm saying he changed.
58:32He wants the pronunciation of his name reverted back to how his family pronounced it.
58:36I'm very close to just saying no. So I think.
58:39So I think the answer is speaking of people's name, you can't pronounce.
58:43Because pot calling the kettle. Like, I think that Dabo Sweeney, the king of can't pronounce his name, couldn't get Travis H.
58:49And's name right and called him Travis Etienne. And then he had to roll with it because he was at Clemson.
58:55And he just because Dabo couldn't get it right.
58:58Which ironic because I don't think any coaches had a harder name than Dabo Sweeney.
59:02By the way, Travis has a brother, Trevor Etienne.
59:05Did he change his name too? Or is he still going by Etienne?
59:09Oh, interesting. Fuck. He's on the Panthers, right? Yeah.
59:12I'm like, can we ask him what he thinks?
59:14He's probably just like, I don't care. Just tell me.
59:17He's like, I'm not famous enough to be able to do that.
59:21The problem is we have to acknowledge it every time now or else we look like we don't know what we're talking
59:27about to a certain percentage of people. If Devon Achan didn't exist, this wouldn't be an issue.
59:32But because now it sounds like we're just conflating two players every time we're messing up.
59:37Yeah, it sounds like we're dumb. Yes. So I'm very close to just being like, it's Etienne.
59:42To be clear, I am dumb, but it's because I didn't really pronounce the L in Palm.
59:47That's why I'm dumb. But anyway, my problem is I feel like- Are you saying Pam?
59:51It's two M's. Pam? Are you saying Pam? Pam.
59:54Pam. Pam? Oh, there's two M's. No, there's just one M.
59:57I feel like Travis Etienne is probably going to be really- I was really excited about him before Kamara, but the idea
60:04that I could watch him beat David Montgomery and just kind of plod along on first and second down, Kamara gets all
60:10the catches and Kamara gets the goal line work, is like, man, that would suck if you took Travis Etienne in round
60:17four and then he just kind of- Yeah. You know, grind it out 85 yards for not having that many catches and not having- I don't know.
60:25I just- that really- having- you don't want to have a franchise legend around who's like really good at all this.
60:31Catches were three times more than a carry. Etienne had six touchdowns in the air last year.
60:36If those evaporate, it's going to be tough. So I don't know what to do with him.
60:41We'll see how- maybe Kamara's totally washed and is a figurehead.
60:44Maybe we'll see what happens. You're right, Jake, that this tier should be Josh Jacobs, Jeremiah Love, Brees Hall, Javante Williams, and
60:51then Kyron Williams, I think we can discuss because he's a guy who, if you base him off past performance, 100% should be in this tier.
60:58He might even be in the one above that.
61:01Right. But the Blake Corum, is this ever going to happen thing is still in people's minds, even though we've been saying
61:07this, that he's going to lose his job, but he never really does.
61:11I love Corum. It's a mix of two issues I have, which is guys- running backs that coaches love don't just lose
61:18their jobs, but also- Especially because things aren't going wrong for the Rams.
61:21Like, everything's good. You know what I mean? Like, they're great.
61:25Kyron Williams is 25 years old. They extended him.
61:27I don't know why they would make a significant change unless Blake Corum is so undeniably good that they need to force him onto the field.
61:35And I think that's why Kyron should be the tier above, because you wouldn't take DeAndre Swift over Kyron.
61:41You wouldn't take David Montgomery over Kyron. Like, I think the next tier should be, it's lead guys of a committee that you have questions about.
61:48Travis H. Yann, we have to, you know, is he going to get passing and goal line work?
61:53DeAndre Swift for the Bears, which is, you know, I think the- can that happen again?
61:58What happens at left tackle when the Bears don't magically have like a perfect line solution again?
62:03And also just Kyle Monunga. Does he play more at the goal line?
62:07David Montgomery for the Texans, which is like, do the Texans figure out their offensive line?
62:12And can Montgomery actually make it through a whole season as the main guy?
62:16And then I think the question, and then if we want to put Bucky Irving in there, I don't know.
62:22Man, Bucky's fallen so far here. Bucky's in a really interesting conversation to have.
62:26He's, he's, this is an impossible decision with Bucky.
62:28I can't tell where I was at. I originally came in being like, is this guy like a really obvious by low bounce back?
62:36But then I'm like looking at the guys going around him and I'm looking at what Tampa Bay did.
62:41It's so fascinating because his rookie year, I mean, he had 1500 yards, he had eight touchdowns.
62:46He just looked amazing. Fourth round pick in real life.
62:49Who's, he just came out of nowhere and was immediately great.
62:52And then last year, you know, Liam Cohen leaves and then the whole Bucs season was kind of a mess.
62:58Bucky Irving had a bad shoulder injury. He had a foot injury.
63:02There was just a lot going on. Baker got hurt.
63:05The offensive line got hurt. Both tackles were hurt last year.
63:08The two guards had season ending injuries. Like it was a mess.
63:11But now it's like, you know, they brought in Kenneth Walker.
63:15I mean, sorry, Kenneth Gainwell, who they gave two years, 14 million bucks.
63:18The Steelers MVP, Kenneth Gainwell is now on the Bucs and you think, oh, well, I mean, shit, is Kenneth Gainwell going to get all the passing work?
63:27Is Kenneth Gainwell going to get a lot of the stuff inside the 10 yard line?
63:31Which Bucky Irving was not a guy who saw a lot of that work last year inside the 10.
63:37But then you think, well, his rookie year, he was with Rashad Wright and they almost split carries and Bucky Irving was still fantastic.
63:44And the Bucs offensive line is still very good if they're healthy.
63:48So I kind of can't tell which Bucky Irving narrative I want to believe.
63:52I mean, they gave Ken Gainwell 10 million guarantees, 7 million a year.
63:55I think what that money is for is so Baker Mayfield doesn't get that shit kicked out of him.
64:01Like if you just watch Baker last year, his best and worst quality is the willingness to take punishment.
64:07But he does need an outlet. And what the Buccaneers were missing because Rashad White went to Washington.
64:12I think, you know, you say it as a joke, but Gainwell did win the MVP for the Steelers for a reason.
64:18It's hard to win Aaron Rodgers' trust. You have to know your shit as a running back for Aaron Rodgers to have
64:25you in protecting like functionally the end of his career if he takes another hit.
64:29And I think the Bucs need that for Baker because the other running backs in the roster, Sean Tucker is not going
64:36to be that guy in passing down work. And I don't think they can.
64:40I think they feel that Bucky unreliable feels mean.
64:43But like there was weird stuff with his injury.
64:45I think he might have taken a beat to tell them about the full extent of his shoulder.
64:50I don't really understand what happened there. He had a really bad season.
64:54There was also reporting that he was having some issues with like mental health as well.
64:59I think there was like a basically a sprinkling of everything that could go wrong last year with Bucky Irving did.
65:05He still averaged 20 touches a game, which I think is worth saying, which is fourth in the NFL.
65:11He played 10 games, so he didn't play a full season, but he averaged 20 touches per game.
65:16This is to me. It's impossible. We don't know what's going to happen.
65:20It's impossible to tell you what's going to happen.
65:23I think if you look at the rookie year stats, the rookie year advanced stats, Bucky was one of the best running backs in the NFL.
65:30And then his second year advanced stats, he was one of the worst in the NFL.
65:35I think he's probably somewhere in the middle. I think he's probably better than what he was last year.
65:40I do think Gainwell last year, I think he averaged like seven targets a game.
65:45Or what did he have? He had, you know, he's like basically Aaron Rodgers, number two receiver because he, Aaron Rodgers just
65:51wanted to get rid of the ball. Aaron Rodgers was literally dead last in the NFL and attempted air yards per air yards per 10.
65:59Yeah. Ken Walker like turned into Wes Welker last year.
66:02I mean, Ken Gainwell. Yeah. Because Rodgers is doing one and a half reads.
66:06He's looking where he wants to go. And then he gets like, if the second guy isn't there, he throws it.
66:12And Baker Mayfield, by the way, is kind of the exact opposite of that.
66:16Baker is always trying to push the ball down the field.
66:19He's fucking ripping it, man. He just wants to rip it.
66:22Do you want me to do this again? He's fucking ripping passes.
66:26That's all he wants to do. I don't know if he's going to really like be like relying on Gainwell that much.
66:32Does Baker, do you think Baker rips passes more than any other quarterback in the NFL?
66:37And if so, who's number two? Who's number two?
66:40Who rips the second most passes? Fucking Matt Stafford.
66:42Who rips the second hardest? Matt Stafford. Matt Stafford is probably arguably rips passes harder than Baker Mayfield.
66:48If we're being honest. Rips passes later. I love that video of DK just saying Baker rips passes.
66:53He's supposed to get back there and rip passes.
66:56He just wants to. He's going to be ripping passes until the day he dies, man.
67:00But yeah. No, I think. So that to me is like a very big difference in terms of the tenor of the offense, I guess.
67:08It's like Baker Mayfield wants to rip the ball down the field, as stated.
67:12And Aaron Rodgers last year was just trying to get rid of the ball before he gets clobbered.
67:17There's a huge difference. And so I don't know.
67:20And then the other variable here, which we didn't mention, is Sean Tucker is kind of their red zone guy.
67:26He's good. And he's just a hammer looking for a nail.
67:29He just wants to fucking. He just runs through people.
67:32He's an old. He would have fit in with Mike next to Mike Allstott.
67:36Sean Tucker is like this old school guy. He was undrafted, but only he had a heart condition that came out right before the draft.
67:43But he would have been like a fourth or fifth round pick.
67:47Like he just rips carries. Rips carries. So I don't know what the hell to do with Bucky Irving.
67:52I think there's a world in which he gets much closer to what we saw as a rookie.
67:58And he's one of the better running backs in the NFL.
68:01I think that's a distinct possibility. And Kenneth Gainwell ends up not being not all that useful.
68:06He's kind of he goes back to what Rashad White was sort of.
68:10And then. But there's also a world in which Bucky just kind of gets phased out of all the important.
68:16And at least in fantasy, important touches, which is catches and goal line stuff.
68:20So it's it's this is a tough one. We'll have to figure out where to rank Bucky right now.
68:25Are we putting him in? Are we putting him in the same tiers?
68:29Travis H. And Swift and Montgomery. I think it should be with Travion Henderson, Quinshan Judkins, Scadaboo and Mermondre.
68:35Yeah, probably. You don't think all those should. I feel like all those are just together to me.
68:40Like if somebody wanted to take Travion Henderson over David Montgomery, like I have no problem with that.
68:45That's fine with me. OK, I'm OK with that.
68:48The anyone in this tier stand out to you.
68:51It's a funny tier. The one below it? No, it's just so it's H.N.
68:55Swift, David Montgomery, Bucky Irving. We're adding Travion Henderson, Quinshan Judkins, Cam Scadaboo and Stevenson.
68:59I'm not objective. How do you Craig? How do you feel about Scadaboo?
69:03I know I was listening to you guys talk to Josh and Hayden about Scadaboo.
69:07I'm so fucking in on this guy. I want this maniac on my team.
69:12Are you kidding me? I don't give a shit about his ankle injury.
69:15He just did a backflip and fell and he was fine.
69:19That makes me feel good. When Benson Boone does it, little flippy boy, you hate it.
69:23But when Scadaboo does the little flippy boy, you love it.
69:27Does he have a knee or an ankle? He broke his tibia.
69:30He broke his tibia. So both. But it was fine.
69:33He looked fine. Also, he jumped too high. He said he was on a, he didn't realize he was on like a WWE style bouncy mat.
69:41So it elevated him higher than he thought. Anyway, dude, I just want this.
69:45This type of guy wants to score more fantasy points than I want him to.
69:49And he didn't even realize it. Like Cam Scadaboo will fight for every yard.
69:53I want him on my team. He was the RB seven in six healthy games last year.
69:58Like this guy gets six. He gets the ball a ton.
70:01He's a fucking maniac. He can catch passes. He was, by the way, he was on pace to, to be fourth among
70:08all running backs and receiving yards last year. He was on pace for 500 yards.
70:12I'll be at the only, it was only six full games he played.
70:16Cause the other two, he got hurt basically. And he only played four games with Jackson Dart, but like the Tyrone Tracy thing.
70:23I don't care. I think Scadaboo is going to be better with Greg Roman.
70:27And I just want this crazy motherfucker on my team.
70:30Dude, I couldn't agree more. You know how all the old heads in every sport are kind of like, you guys couldn't have played back in my day.
70:38No one's ever said that about Cam Scadaboo. He's just fucking crazy.
70:42And I want him. He's going to be good.
70:44If he's on the field, I guarantee you he will be good.
70:48At fantasy or in real life? Both. I agree.
70:51He's fucking nuts. And that's huge. If he can start the game and finish the game, I see no world in which
70:57he's not scoring 15 fantasy points a game. Like, I just think he's going to, he's going to do it.
71:03They're going to get in the ball. He's crazy.
71:06All of the things that you're saying are true.
71:08And that's the reason I don't want him. Cause he's crazy.
71:11Yeah, dude. I want him. Who cares? That's why like Chuba Hubbard's ranked lower.
71:16Chuba Hubbard probably believes in asthma. That's why we can't rank him as high.
71:20Yeah. Whatever, dude. Scadaboo is your third running back.
71:22He's like the perfect spot for him to be in.
71:25He's just like the crazy wild card on your team.
71:28I want that. Yeah. You need one crazy guy.
71:31I mean, look, I'll be at six games, not a huge sample size, but he was a rookie and he played six games.
71:38Well, wait, speaking of which, did we talk about the- He was the RB7 in those games.
71:43I mean, the team sucked. I have to pull it up.
71:46Did you see the boy math he did with his yards for this year?
71:50You know, I love the idea of Scadaboo doing math.
71:53Did you guys hear this? Is boy math a thing that I missed?
71:57Is that a phrase that I'm not aware of?
71:59Boy math? Oh yeah, there's girl math and there's boy math.
72:03I didn't know that. I don't. Oh, come on.
72:05Please email us examples of girl math and boy math if you're listening.
72:09That would be really great. If any of the seven are listening, I want girl math.
72:14I also want boy math. So Scadaboo, this is- God, I can't believe we haven't talked about this yet.
72:19And I can't believe I get to tell you guys this.
72:23This is a quote from Cam Scadaboo. I had 400 yards and 100 carries.
72:27So when I play 17 games, it's going to be 300 carries for 2,000 yards.
72:31That's wrong. I had 100 carries for 400. It should be 300 carries and 1,200 yards.
72:36Maybe he was factoring in receiving. Look, we can't speculate what he was factoring in.
72:40That makes me like him more. Like he thinks he's going to get to 2,000 even if it doesn't make any sense.
72:47Like I love that. It's like 60% of the time it works every time.
72:51Yeah. Did you also see the Matt Nagy PTSD thing?
72:54No. I wanted this to be fake so bad.
72:56Matt Nagy for the Giants offense. Oh, I did see this.
73:00I saw this. He had a PowerPoint. I can't believe the Giants are still fucking doing own goals from inside their building.
73:06He had the presentation. It was physical, tough, smart, detailed.
73:09Physical, tough, smart, detailed. P-T-S-D. Oh, my God. That's like an arrest in development.
73:13Yeah, what the fuck is wrong with these people?
73:16Well, and then did you see Harbaugh's speech that looked like he forgot he had to speak that morning?
73:21Oh, yeah. New York Giants. The New York Giants are in this room.
73:25The Giants. He's vamping while he figures out. Everyone's like, yeah, dude, we've fucked for 20 years.
73:30What are you talking about? It was crickets in there.
73:33Sounds of silence. The only exciting thing anyone said to me is that if Greg Roman only does the run game and
73:40Matt Nagy only does the pass game, they actually could be pretty good together, which made me happy.
73:45So maybe if they just don't speak and they just separately.
73:48I will say the PTSD thing. Just when I was starting to talk myself into fan brain, the Giants will be good.
73:55I'm very worried. I kept waiting for someone to identify it as AI.
73:58And it just, to my knowledge, cannot be emphasized enough.
74:01Enough that chiefs were just like, yeah, you can go.
74:04We're fine. Is the new I got hacked. It was AI.
74:08A hundred percent. Right. A hundred percent. Hacking is like a joke.
74:11Like I was, no one's believed that a long time.
74:14AI. It's like, man, that's a lot of work to prove.
74:17I don't know how to prove that anymore. You watched the John Harbaugh speech on a scale of one to 10, 10 being physically painful.
74:25You have to turn it off. How bad was that speech?
74:28In the context of what an NFL coach should be doing, I thought it was like an eight.
74:33Like NFL coaches are pretty good at this stuff.
74:36Like that's kind of their whole thing. Especially a fucking Harbaugh.
74:39Like on the Harbaugh scale, it might've been a 10.
74:42He's been coaching for like 25 years. Everything his brother says makes me want to run through a wall.
74:48He just like, Jim Harbaugh coughs. And I'm like, I'm ready to go.
74:51And like John Harbaugh speaks. You're like, geez. I was like afraid he was going to get the name of the team wrong.
74:58Like he had to remind himself. He was like, we are the, we're the New York Giants.
75:03And I was like, we're the Giants? We're the Giants, right?
75:06He's like wearing a purple hoodie. He's like, oh wait.
75:09We're the Giants. We're the Giants? We are the San Francisco Giants.
75:13Oh my God. I don't know. There's so many fucking parallels to the Pete Carroll era in Las Vegas.
75:18I'm like starting to get really nervous for the Giants this year.
75:22It's tough. Yeah. He's 63. That's not that old.
75:25Isn't Tom Cruise 63? Yeah. He's fine. He's fine.
75:27Although Tom Cruise is playing an old man in a movie, so.
75:31Dude, that movie, Craig looks insane. Which guy? Well, it's a, it's a made up character.
75:35It's a movie called Digger. You know, he's basically playing Jerry Jones.
75:39That's who he's playing. What? Like an oil guy buys a football team?
75:43I don't think the football team thing is part of it.
75:46He's an oil man. It's like a rich billionaire old oil man from the South.
75:50Who's like fraudulent investments are potentially going to lead to like a cataclysmic climate issue in the world.
75:56But his like behavior and his style, it's like kind of Jerry Jones-ish.
76:00Yeah, yeah. Oh wow. So it's like Landman Jerry Jones.
76:02Yeah. Paul Totley, there will be blood. It's like Landman Jerry Jones made investments that's going to cause like the oceans to
76:09rise so much that the world's going to end.
76:12It's kind of sick. Yeah. Do you see France as a fire cloud?
76:15Excuse me? There are these wildfires in Europe that are super rare.
76:19A lot of once in a century things happening all the time now.
76:23So France says, I was reading the New York Times like just kind of, I wasn't like reading it all smart.
76:29I was just scrolling. I was going to say, okay, flex.
76:32I know I do kind of scroll through the New York Times now.
76:36Reading is like the wrong word. I was scrolling, but like trying to scroll a different app for once.
76:42Yeah. It's like I was playing Wordle, but yeah, it was technically.
76:45I was playing Wordle and by accident, I saw that France had a fire cloud.
76:50I was like, what'd you say? And they said, there is this thing called, so apparently wildfires can create their own weather.
76:56And it said, we're dealing with this rare phenomenon of a pyro cumulonimbus cloud.
77:00It's called a fire cloud. Fire cloud. It's literally a fire cloud.
77:04And it's a cloud not made of fire, but it rains fire instead of rain.
77:08It rains lightning bolts and fire, but not water.
77:11It's like that quote from Armageddon where he's like, okay, so pretty much the scariest environment imaginable.
77:16Okay, got it. Jason Statham. Are you serious? You're joking?
77:19Oh, I'm joking, but like you believe it. I did believe you.
77:22Is it too late to get it in the Tom Cruise movie?
77:26Because that would be great. Green light that fire cloud starring Jason Statham is immediately $200 million.
77:31Lock it in. That's amazing. Dude, I think all the time about this thing.
77:35Shea Serrano said, which is like, why do they give Jason Statham movies names?
77:39Just call it Jason Statham seven. Jason Statham eight.
77:42I'm going to go see Jason Statham nine. Like that would be so much better than having to tell me about like the beekeeper.
77:49All the names like don't even make sense. He has a new movie coming out this summer called mutiny.
77:54It's like, just call it Statham nine. Call it Statham nine.
77:57Like that's fine. I would love Statham 14. Like that.
78:00That's fine. Yeah. I do recommend the beekeeper for parents who don't understand how scams work.
78:05If your parents open phone calls and are like responding to scam texts, just show them the beekeeper.
78:10Okay. Because it's like about that. That's good to know.
78:13I was a Statham fan way back in the day with like Italian job.
78:17Dude, the transformers. Not the transformers. Fuck the transporter and the Italian job back to back.
78:22Dude, handsome Rob and the Italian job is amazing.
78:25Italian job is great. It's been a while since I've seen it.
78:28I should rewatch that movie. It's so good. TK, you seen that?
78:32Which movie? Italian job. Yeah. Have they done that in the rewatchables?
78:35I like that movie. No. Wow. It's a very much movie.
78:39I know. It's kind of a classic. You'd think that.
78:42I mean, Mark Wahlberg. You'd think Charlize is in that movie.
78:45Oh my God. Yeah. It's great. Snatch is my favorite least quotable movie ever because I don't know what anyone's saying at any given time.
78:52But every time they do say something, I remember it.
78:55It's 100% quotable for everything they say that I remember.
78:58I saw this. I don't know if it's true.
79:01I didn't fact check it. But basically, they made Brad Pitt's character, Mickey the boxer, into an Irish traveler because he couldn't get the English accent down.
79:09So then he just said, like, everything he says is unintelligible in the movie.
79:13He's charged. Brad Pitt just... It's an all-time closed captioning movie.
79:16You really need it. Yeah. I hate having that on, but you need it.
79:20It's like what Austin Powers and his dad are trying to speak.
79:24What are they doing? Old English? Shat on a turtle.
79:27Shat on a turtle. Like, that's basically just the Brad Pitt thing.
79:30They're speaking the Cockney rhyming slang. Yeah. Yeah. Dude, that...
79:33Oh, my God. We should do fantasy analysis with them.
79:36Anyway. This episode is brought to you by NOS Energy.

79:51Hit the street, grab a can, and get after it.
79:54Somewhere out there is a Chevy truck. And the person who drives it, well, that's a Chevy person.
79:59You probably know one. Your buddy. Your sister. Ones who always show up.
80:03They're the first to rise, the last to leave.
80:06They always have that little extra something. And maybe you've got it too.
80:09Chevrolet. Together let's drive. Visit chevy.com slash trucks to explore the lineup.
80:13I guess we have to finish these tiers. Where are we at?
80:16First people to ever go from Shashad on a turtle to Chuba Hubbard, who's the running back for the Panthers.
80:22And then we have Jalen Warren, Tony Pollard, Titans, and then Basial Tootin and the Jags.
80:27And then we can keep going if you want.
80:30But I have the tier as basically, if these guys are in your lineup week one, it now starts to feel gross.
80:36Which is like Chuba Hubbard, Jalen Warren, Jadarian Price, or Tony Pollard.
80:40If you're week one, have these guys in your flex, now you're like not feeling sick.
80:44This is like everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face tier.
80:49These are the fringe guys. You talk yourself into them.
80:52The last guys you could probably put in your flex and think it might work out.
80:56You're convincing yourself. You're like Chuba Hubbard. The guy behind him is Jonathan Brooks.
81:01He's played like three games in two years. That's fine.
81:04Jalen Warren, you're talking to yourself in a Hilby, Kenny game, Will Ferron Rogers.
81:08Jaren Price, first round pick for the Seahawks. There are reasons you can find.
81:12You're looking for reasons now instead of finding fears.
81:14You're now kind of looking for a story to tell yourself.
81:18But they could be good. Yeah. DK, what's the Jadarian Price buzz?
81:21You in or you out? It hasn't been great so far yet.
81:25I would say that. Why? We're just getting the shit kicked out of the pass protection.
81:29No, there was like, there was a report yesterday.
81:32So today's Monday the 27th. There was a report I think I saw yesterday that he like missed a pass or two or something.
81:39He was messing up in the passing game. But this was truly the first couple of practices of OTAs or training camp.
81:46We don't have to quite worry about it quite yet.
81:48But it's one of those things where, I mean, last year the Seahawks platooned Kenneth Walker.
81:53And, you know, this guy's a rookie, unproven, didn't have a ton of carries in college.
81:58He might not get the volume that you're really needing from him in this offense.
82:02And that's why I think he's priced where he is.
82:05Even though he's a first round rookie running back, typically those guys would be way higher, I feel like.
82:11But, you know, it's one of those things where you just don't really know how he's going to be used.
82:17It's weird because the Seahawks admitted they kind of wanted to trade back and not take him in the first round.
82:23It's also weird. Also, when I say he's getting the shit kicked out, I don't mean, I guess I should have been
82:29clear because they don't have any pads on. But the Seahawks, if he is able to learn pass protection against the Seahawks
82:36defense in practice, you're ready for anything. But, yeah, I'm a little dubious.
82:40I think he's a better receiver than people think, actually, Jadarian Price.
82:43But I'm skeptical that he'll just like be immediately a receiver.
82:46But, yeah, maybe it ends up being the goal linebacker.
82:49The Seahawks just don't have any other running backs, man.
82:52Because, I mean, Kenny McIntosh is like could be a pass protector, but he tore his ACL like last July.
82:58You got George Alani, who I actually think is good, but he's been a journeyman is the wrong word.
83:04He hasn't done much at the NFL level. Yeah, but he's a late round pick that has come in and shown he's
83:10been pretty good in the times that he's had opportunities, but it's been few and far between.
83:15And Zach Charbonne will come back from an ACL Halloween?
83:18Like they're saying October. I'm like he tore his ACL in the divisional round.
83:22Like, you know, the Seahawks are going to have to go at least six weeks without him.
83:27So I don't know what they're going to do.
83:30Yeah. But it's a weird situation. Tony Pollard just feels like we should be excited, but I'm not.
83:35And then Basial Tootin is the other guy where he reminds me of Colson Loveland, where I thought that Basial Tootin would
83:42be like my number one sleeper entering the season.
83:44And then I just didn't realize how long the line would be.
83:48He's like a top 60 player. And Basial Tootin on some platforms is going over like Joe Burrow and Jaden Daniels, which
83:54is not what I thought would happen. And I feel unprepared to draft him there.
83:59Yeah. I think running backs in general are just going very early this year.
84:03I think like everyone is sprinting to get running backs.
84:06I mean, looking at all, like I said, Chase Brown is going 15th overall in drafts.
84:10Like even Scadaboo, who I just talked about, is coming off a horrible injury, is going 35th overall.
84:16Like these guys are not, you can't really get a lot of value out of any of these guys.
84:21And so I do wonder if the strategy this year is if every analyst at every platform has kind of agreed to go heavy running back.
84:29I do wonder if you're in a three receiver league with a flex, if the move is to go receivers this year, just solely to zag.
84:37It's a little scary. If you're in a two receiver league, it's still tough because I'm like, there's so many good receivers
84:43you can have in those two spots. And the replacement value is so high.
84:47But if you're in a three receiver league, I do kind of wonder, I am thinking about it, where it's like, just
84:54kind of like blindly trust your gut and walk away.
84:57If you have the last pick, I'm like, you could just walk with Justin Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb and not think twice
85:03and just deal with running back later. And again, it's been remarkably a healthy position the last two years.
85:09And part of me is like, maybe avoid the dart throws of who's going to stay healthy, who's not.
85:14But I know it just feels like every one of these guys that you want is going to be like kind of
85:21a reach in terms of where you would expect to get them.
85:24Fun. Like the only guys who are not reaches, I guess, are just the guys who are in the first round because
85:31you literally can't reach to take Tristan McCaffrey or something like that.
85:34So maybe it's like you spend your first round pick on a running back and then you let it sit for a
85:41while and go after a bunch of receivers. Yeah.
85:43The barbell theory. It's like a lot in the beginning and a lot late.
85:47And it's like, you know, we call it a hero running back or whatever.
85:52But I do think maybe one or two running backs in the first three rounds.
85:56And then these guys are not as excited. And you come back around, there are guys like this next group is like
86:02Archie Harvey on the Broncos, who I think everyone wants him to be like Camara.
86:07And I'm like, he's just Aaron Sprouls to me.
86:10I think he's overrated. Blake Corum, who I love, but needs to beat Kyron Williams.
86:14I think if Kyron Williams got hurt, Blake Corum would be great, even though I'm very excited by Blake Corum.
86:20Rico Dowdle, who is on the Steelers now. Aaron Jones on the Vikings.
86:24Jordan Mason on the Vikings. Kyle Monunguy on the Bears, who's like the David Montgomery light for the Bears.
86:29J.K. Dobbins, who I don't think will ever stay healthy.
86:32Rashad. I mean, he's literally never played 12 games in a season at starter.
86:36Rashad White, who's signed with Washington. And then Jonathan Brooks, who's like, if you're going for upside, like on paper, Jonathan Brooks
86:43for the Panthers is a really exciting player. And Jonathan Brooks was the second pick who tours ACL, then retours ACL.
86:49And now he's played three games in two years.
86:52And I'm like, maybe he wins the Panthers job.
86:54But I mean, he had never even played in training camp until this week.
86:58So, yeah, I don't know. I'm very I'm not as excited about this group at all.
87:03I agree. These are all these are all high, high variance guys.
87:07And you can't really expect a whole lot from them.
87:10And like, you know, like what's the Rico Dowdle situation?
87:12Are we excited about that at all in Pittsburgh?
87:15I think it's going to be a continued split.
87:18And I think Jalen Warren is going to get a lot of the passing work.
87:22And Rico Dowdle is going to be the early down guy.
87:25And he'll probably be good. I think Rico Dowdle is good.
87:29And I think he proved that he was good last year and even on Dallas a little bit.
87:34So, like, I think they're going to be a good one-two punch, which has been the case with the Steelers for a while now.
87:41It's this one-two punch thing. Jalen Warren is not a three down guy.
87:45So they kind of need somebody to pair with him.
87:48So, yeah, he'll have moments and he'll be fine.
87:50And I think he'll get a lot of rushing yards.
87:53But passing game, I think we will limit him.
87:56It's not the Steelers' offense. It's the Aaron Rodgers' offense.
87:59And if Aaron Rodgers decides he wants to have Jalen Warren on passing games, passing downs will be Warren.
88:04And if he wants Dowdle on passing downs, it'll be him.
88:08But all the value in this offense is going to be Aaron Rodgers checking the ball down when he doesn't want to get hit.
88:15Jalen Warren, in theory, makes more sense. But Rodgers likes who he likes.
88:19And so we'll have to figure out who his guy is.
88:22And we'll probably know, honestly. But you have to just – I do not want anybody on the Steelers that Aaron Rodgers does not have a rapport with.
88:30It's never worked out well. And like we'll get – as the offseason rolls on, training camp is just starting.
88:36Like we'll get deeper into like sleepers and things that could pop and stuff like that.
88:41But yeah, like these tiers – we'll put these on our Instagram so you can see the official tiers because I'm sure
88:47that it sounded confusing trying to follow this listening to us.
88:50I do want to just mention a couple sleepers to get out of here that I do think are like really good.
88:57People that are like free. Like handcuffed guys like Tyler Algier is like backing up.
89:01You know, Jeremiah – he might play for the Cardinals, which is weird as a – you know, he might be a starter.
89:08We have to figure out what's going on with Tyler Algier and James Conner in Arizona.
89:13Keaton Mitchell could be Devon HN for the Chargers.
89:15He also could be the third down – could lose third down work to Kamani Vidal.
89:20Like there's a lot of sleepers. The guy we have not mentioned is Jonah Coleman, the running back for the Broncos.
89:26He's like not being drafted. I could so easily see Jonah Coleman being like the waiver wire guy of the entire year
89:33solely because the Broncos are expected to be great.
89:35I think Archie Harvey's Darren Sproles and I think J.K.
89:38Dobbins. He's again, literally never played – J.K. Dobbins has never started 12 games in a season.
89:43He's been hurt every year of his career. Jonah Coleman is like Cam Scadaboo.
89:47We joked all draft process. Jonah Coleman is like the thinking man Scadaboo because he has the bulk to be in between the tackles.
89:54He actually does create explosive plays even if he's not fast.
89:58He wins with power. And Jonah Coleman is the pass protection and receiving.
90:01He has the rare mix of things that play as a rookie.
90:05And Jonah Coleman, I'm like when J.K. Dobbins gets hurt, I think Jonah Coleman is like the starting running back for the Denver Broncos.
90:12And he's like not even being taken right now.
90:15So I think that's the guy I like the most as a sleeper.
90:19I like that. I really liked Coleman coming out.
90:21And he does the little things running back in this class.
90:24He's not explosive, but he breaks tackles. He pass protects.
90:27He can catch the football. He's smart. I could see him endearing himself to the coaching staff.
90:32And there's a big variable here, which is Sean Payton's not calling plays anymore.
90:36We'll see how that goes. But yeah, they're expected to be a very good team.
90:41They're going to be protecting a lot of leads, very likely, and trying to run the ball down the stretch in game.
90:47So he's a very interesting one to me. Yeah.
90:50Any other sleepers you guys like before we get to the hot quarterback rankings?
90:54The real reason everyone's here. No. Like? No. Okay.
90:57Hot quarterback rankings. Yes. Let's fucking go. Continued. Respectfully, let's fucking go.
91:00Before we even get to the hot quarterback rankings, we have to talk about something that happened while Craig was in Hawaii,
91:07which is that Jimmy Garoppolo is open to playing after considering retirement.
91:10Kind of ruining everything for us. Oh, no. Jimmy Garoppolo.
91:13The whole reason we did the hot quarterback rankings was because Jimmy G was retiring.
91:18What do we even do if he doesn't retire?
91:20He's not going to be a starter, so it doesn't matter.
91:24I mean, it does matter. Come on. Well, maybe whoever the seven elect as the new hottest, maybe we have to then
91:30put them up against Garoppolo for a new vote.
91:33We could do like UFC as like interim titles.
91:35Like basically like when the contender can't fight, there's like an interim champion.
91:39Yeah. Well, it's like you have to beat the champ, right?
91:42To take the belt. Maybe whoever wins, then we put them up against Jimmy G in a kind of final showdown.
91:48And they'll get slaughtered. Well, maybe. We don't know.
91:51Oh, my God. Okay. So we'll see. He hasn't signed yet.
91:54I think he has to sign. So we're still going to keep going with the hot quarterback rankings.
92:00Can I ask a question? Did the seven vote Shador Sanders?
92:03Is he included in this or no? Some people put Shador and some people just solely out of spite put Deshaun Watson last.
92:10So some people did not include Shador because they didn't think he'll be the starter.
92:14Yeah. Some people had. Yeah. Some people put both.
92:17Some people put neither. But some people put Deshaun Watson last solely to be mad at him.
92:22But if Shador, let's say he did chart high enough, would he be included or no?
92:26No. I can tell you that Shador receives enough votes that he was ranked in this exercise.
92:31It wasn't like eight. Yeah. It was dozens. More than dozens of people.
92:35We had a pretty sizable amount included. Yeah. That is a wild card right there.
92:40Interesting. So with that said, are you guys ready for the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth hottest quarterbacks in the NFL this
92:46season as determined by all seven women to listen to the fantasy football show?
92:50We're getting so fucking close. Yeah. We're going to have Mina Kimes on to do the top four next week.
92:56This is as good as it gets. Top eight.
92:59These are hot men we're discussing. So just to recap, just to recap the hots.
93:03Just do 15. Start with 15 and work your way down.
93:06So the top 15. Well, the sixth team was Jackson Dart.
93:10Oh, that's 16, yeah. 15 was Tyler Shuck. 14 was Jaden Daniels.
93:1313 was Brock Purdy, which DK had 32nd and Craig had like eighth or something.
93:1810th, yeah. Bryce Young was 12. Matt Stafford was 11.
93:21Baker Mayfield's 10. Caleb Williams was nine. A lot of people thought that was too low.
93:25Are you guys ready for the eighth hottest quarterback in the NFL?
93:29Oh, man. Lay it on us. Lay it on us.
93:32Yeah. Craig, did you cheat? Because the answer is it is Shador Sanders.
93:36Oh, is it? Wow. Did you cheat? No, no, no.
93:38To be honest, I had him fourth, and I was worried that he wouldn't be included.
93:43And then we were going to have to be like, well, Shador technically should probably be like a top 10 guy.
93:49I think he's a very handsome dude. He's very handsome.
93:52And I argue eight's a little low. Right. Shador is very handsome.
93:56And if only he were better and not on Cleveland.
93:59I think Deshaun Watson ruined it for Shador. Yeah.
94:01The stink of Deshaun, I think, is on Shador.
94:04It's true. Fuck. It's the Cleveland stink and the Deshaun stink is on Shador.
94:08Also, he's bad. But if he were good, I mean, someone put, they said Shador has a megawatt smile.
94:14Yeah, he's got a great smile. He's got a incredible smile.
94:17It looks real. He doesn't have veneers even. Yeah, right.
94:20He could be like, he's like an actor. This is like, as we get into the top few here, it's like veneers are like fake boobs.
94:28Those things are all natural, baby. Look at those chompers.
94:30They're all natural. They're all natural. Yeah, they feel like bags of sand.
94:34Yeah, I mean, I think he definitely deserves to be on this list.
94:38But yeah, it's tough because he has so many things working against him in that he's next to Deshaun Watson every day.
94:45He's on the fucking Browns. He's also not very good.
94:48The Browns stink. So it's like in a vacuum, he's definitely a good looking dude.
94:52But everything around him is a mess. Can I read you some of the comments The Seven wrote about Shador Sanders?
94:58Please do. Megawatt smile and an unexpectedly measured temperament through the ups and downs of his rookie year help his case for hotness.
95:05But Shador was not alive for 9-11 and is therefore a baby and as such can only be cute and not hot.
95:11The one thing that I did not consider when making my rankings, perhaps naively, is the age thing.
95:17I kind of was just like, does this guy have charisma and is he physically hot?
95:21I did not consider like he's a boy, so I'm not attracted to him.
95:25But he's not babyface. Like Cam Ward is babyface.
95:28Cam Ward could pass as a high schooler. Like Brock Purdy is babyface, but Shador I don't think is.
95:34The other, someone else wrote about Shador Sanders. Hot but selfish in bed.
95:38Okay. By the way, I'm looking this up. He might have veneers, so I take that back.
95:43No. Already? It's hard to know. I mean, who can tell, really?
95:46Let me get my eyes on these warlocks. The way that they sit, Craig, do those look real to you?
95:52I don't know. Interesting. I'm saying maybe he utilized veneers strategically, possibly targeting only highly visible front teeth.
95:57Interesting. It's like when there's a boob job, but they're not like outrageously big.
96:01It's kind of like a tasteful boob job. It's just shape.
96:05Anyway, who knows? It's just shape. I can't tell.
96:07Fuck. Well, that's the sign of a good veneer.
96:10I don't think they are. They are, but that's, I don't know.
96:13I don't think they are. He also has like his dad.
96:17There's like a diva quality to him. You know, there's like a movie star flashy kind of like.
96:22It's one of those where you're like, oh yeah, his dad.
96:25And then you see him and you're like, this man, whether or not you like it, believes that he's like the most
96:32famous and important person in the world. And it's a little infectious.
96:35Yeah. Like he's a likable guy when you hear him talk, if you don't kind of already hate him.
96:41Like he does have charisma, whether you like it or not.
96:44Yeah. I agree. I think he should have been even higher than this, to be honest, but I'm fine with it.
96:50So Craig, where did you have him? I had him fourth.
96:53Yeah. I need to pull up. We also don't talk enough that his dad had the chutzpah to give an interview where
97:00he was like, man, Shador, when he goes number one in the draft, we would never let him go to a team like Cleveland.
97:07And then he fell with the fifth round and then went to fucking Cleveland anyway.
97:11Yeah. Legit worst case scenario. Yeah. Unbelievable. I'm looking at our rankings.
97:15Only TV named. We had him sixth overall, collectively.
97:17I had him sixth. Craig had him fourth. Heifetz a little bit lower, but still in the top 10.
97:23He's a good looking guy. Yeah. There's no shame in it.
97:26I mean, someone else wrote that about Shador. You wouldn't text your friends about it, but you would answer the text.
97:32Okay. I love the extremely specific scenarios. That's great.
97:35All right. What do we got next? Next up.
97:38Number seven. Hottest quarterback. Can you guys guess? I'm going to say Dak Prescott.
97:42Yeah. Or Herbert. Number seven was Jordan Love for the Green Bay Packers.
97:46Oh, Jordan Love. Interesting. This one was my blind spot.
97:49I had no idea how popular Jordan Love would be.
97:52This is... Dude, none of us did. We all kind of had him lower.
97:56We had him 15th, 17th, and 12th. Totally whiffed on this.
97:59I had no clue that women would find Jordan Love so attractive.
98:02Yeah. He looks pretty good in that beanie. These photos are nice photos right here.
98:07The two I'm looking at. Very serious looking. Yeah.
98:09So it's funny you say that. One of the comments on Jordan Love was he looks better when he's stern.
98:15Stern. But I do like that his smile looks a bit like Andy Samberg.
98:19I kind of think he looks like... Andy Samberg.
98:22Wait, what? I don't know. I don't know. Random.
98:25Like a big smile. I always kind of thought he looked like the dragon from Shrek.
98:29Someone wrote that he looks like the asparagus from VeggieTales.
98:32Let me show you this dragon from Shrek. Kind of has like a long, thin face.
98:37That is so random, Craig. Green eyes. Yeah, the green eyes.
98:40You know what I mean? Yeah. That's Jordan Love to me.
98:44I can kind of see it, I guess. Super.
98:46Super specific. He can be a dragon anamorph. What did the seven say about Jordan Love?
98:51Among the comments for Jordan Love, no notes. No.
98:54None. Someone said, you're swiping left. Oh, I just...
98:56I actually got that wrong. There. That was somebody who didn't like him.
99:00Oh. I just put you're swiping and I just read it.
99:03I forgot that was mean. Jordan Love said, he should be hotter than he is and I don't really know what's wrong.
99:10Which I actually thought was also an incredible encapsulation of his actual career.
99:14Hmm. Hmm. That is. It's meta. Someone was like not...
99:17Someone said hot without the aura. Someone also just put hot comma sometimes, which I also thought was really good for his career.
99:23Yeah, I agree with that. Someone wrote not confident enough of a smile.
99:27And then someone said, he's just hot. A man with a nice smile.
99:31Love his smile. Got a sneaky bonus points for having a cute maternity photo with his partner.
99:36I will say though, a lot of the comments were amazingly similar to the actual thoughts on Jordan Love, which are really
99:42good tools, but people wish he could put it all together.
99:46Hmm. Do you think that it makes any difference that his name is Jordan Love?
99:50It's a good name. Like that's a hot name.
99:53It is a good name. Jordan Love. It is...
99:55Would I say that it is the hottest name of any quarterback in the NFL?
100:00Right? That's like the coolest, hottest name. I mean, it has to be.
100:04I mean, he also has a lot of top five votes.
100:07Like he was very popular in this exercise. That's interesting.
100:10Yeah. Because the comments are sort of milquetoast a little.
100:13I know. Yeah. Jordan Love. Well done, sir. Yeah.
100:15Almost very, very, very few bottom 10 votes. These maternity pictures are very cute.
100:19I'll give him that. Just, yeah. He looks, he looks, yeah, he looks really good in this maternity photo, I say.
100:26Handsome. The fatherhood looks good on you, man. There are moments I agree when he looks very good.
100:31And then other moments where I'm like, eh, top 10.
100:34I don't know. He's also, he does his hair differently a lot.
100:37He's very stern and not always smiling. So it does kind of depend on the picture you see.
100:43He does have a lot of different pictures. Like he does have huge variance picture to picture.
100:48Yeah. I have to say. I feel like I don't know very much about him for like.
100:53Yeah. How good he is and the team he's on.
100:56He's pretty quiet. Yeah. Just like, I don't know anything about Jordan Love.
100:59He is from Bakersfield, which is an interesting place.
101:02And also where Derek Carr is from, I think.
101:05Jordan Love. Yeah. This one shocked me. I won't lie.
101:08But I, but he is very tall, but I also feel like height hasn't been.
101:12He's very tall. Worked in. So what's weird about this is I think if people saw them in person, he'd actually go even higher.
101:19Because of his stature? He's six foot four. He's well built.
101:22This was a big miss by us. The fact that we had him 13th collectively.
101:27The biggest. It's a big miss. Oh, is this the biggest miss that we had, Heifetz?
101:31I think so. He can't tell us that. Even Utah State photo is pretty good.
101:36Not including the fact that DK had Brock Purdy 32nd.
101:39Outside of that, probably. Well, that mathematically is going to be hard to beat.
101:4330 seconds. I was a little harsh on him.
101:46All right. Okay. Okay. The sixth hottest quarterback in the NFL.
101:49Just missing the top five hottest quarterbacks in the NFL.
101:52Is none other than Tua Tungo-Vailoa. Yeah, Tua. Really?
101:54The other person I had wondered. Complete blind spot for was Tua.
101:58I think Tua is very handsome. It had never occurred to me.
102:01I didn't even rank him. I had him. Well, I had him 21st.
102:05So I guess I probably should have ranked him higher.
102:08I kind of was just like in my head, he wasn't a starting quarterback at the time.
102:13I think I made this ranking. That's I think that is the thing here.
102:17I had never even looked at him. And then I had to relook.
102:21And I was like, oh, I get it now.
102:24But he's a handsome guy. Never even occurred to me that Tua was handsome.
102:28Are we on veneer watch? No. Let's see. Big, nice smile.
102:31But I don't know if that's. Oh, I don't know.
102:34They're pretty white. They are really white. Maybe he's just got really great dental.
102:38Tua is sixth. He's the sixth hottest quarterback. Sixth hottest quarterback.
102:41I think he does have veneers. Well, he's in Miami.
102:44I mean, Miami. I love that they're the boob job for men.
102:48Like a hair transplant kind of in there, too, I think.
102:51Sure. Sure. Yeah. You know, you think he got a hair transplant?
102:55No, I'm saying veneers and hair transplant. Oh, yeah.
102:57Yeah. Like new things that men can do to improve their looks.
103:01It's very true. Yeah, that's male. I mean, Tua is a nice looking dude.
103:05I don't know. Yeah. I don't know if he's six.
103:08So he's kind of short, too, which is a little surprising.
103:11I guess that doesn't matter in this list is much.
103:14Some of the comments on Tua face. Face card is elite.
103:17OK. Someone said strictly. I have concerns. They said, listen, I have concerns.
103:21Strictly off attractiveness, though, to a strong showing. Very strong.
103:24Yeah. Other comments said to a very hot. Wish he was better at football so he'd be on my TV more often.
103:31OK. Someone said to an attractive man with an amazing smile, even when he has three picks in a concussion.
103:36Yeah. Harsh, but perhaps fair. Someone said, and I thought this was funny.
103:40Someone said to. I wish he talked less to the media.
103:43Right. Right. Right. I think that's that's also echoes his sort of career thing.
103:48Like you just if you if you just be quiet, it'd probably be better off for you.
103:53Yeah. Someone literally said the appeal is there under the right circumstances.
103:56Scheme fits critical. Can absolutely outperform expectations under the right conditions.
103:59Depends heavily on lighting, personality and hoodie selection. Hoodie selection.
104:02So I do think system player. I think he has a good beard situation.
104:06He knows what facial hair works like. If you look up a photo of him without a beard, it's not as good.
104:13I feel like he's got a he figured out his beard.
104:16I feel like he figured out his hair. Good call.
104:19He's got a lot of different hair hairdo styles.
104:22Yeah. But he like pictures. It works. He knows what he's doing.
104:25He knows. Also, when he's look not under Brian Flores to it.
104:29Also, like Bryce Young, happy, smart, does smile like a happy person.
104:32Yeah. Used to smile and be happier. People got mad at him for smiling too much on the sideline.
104:38I think. Exactly. You know? Family man. Sure. He makes you feel safe, but also dangerous.
104:43You know? I never thought about it. He's a handsome guy.
104:46The one with the face paint. The first photo with the face paint, I think, really like I get that's where I get it.
104:53The backwards. I think I would put him. I think I would put him 11.
104:57I would have given him. I'm surprised who is so much higher than like Caleb Williams.
105:02I know. This is probably the most shocking one that we've had so far.
105:06I didn't expect. Love and Tua. They're keeping us guessing the seven, you know?
105:10Yeah. I don't know. Okay. So are you guys ready for top five?
105:14This is the last one, right? Yeah. Craig, by the way, you moving him to 11 moves him to 14 on our list.
105:21Okay. So we're not that far off. I mean, six is high.
105:24Yeah. Okay, fine. We basically called him average and they're saying he's.
105:28Elite. We're saying he's a touch out of the, he's almost the top five hottest quarterback.
105:33Okay. I didn't expect that. Yeah. So who do we have left?
105:36We have like Burrow, Hertz. We have Josh Allen.
105:39We have, we have, we have Dak Prescott. We have Herbert.
105:42We have Trevor Lawrence. I feel like we have not enough people here to make all these, these guys that are your name.
105:49And I don't think Lawrence makes it. By the way, two of my buddies bet $25 that Lawrence would be in the top.
105:55So whatever we're talking here, top eight. So that's, there's a lot of money riding on that one.
106:01I think I have an idea of who the remaining five is.
106:04I just don't know the order. If they want to cut me in on that, no one knows the order.
106:10So if they want to, yeah, loop me in.
106:13Um, we have, so Hertz, Allen, Burrow, Herbert. Dak.
106:15Lawrence, Dak. Those are probably the big, the most notable remaining names.
106:19So yeah, I'm starting to think Trevor Lawrence is not there.
106:22Yeah. And yeah, it's going to be Herbert or Dak next at five is my guess.
106:27You know who I think is kind of a wild card?
106:30Actually, not really, because I think Heifetz already kind of gave this away.
106:34But like, if people were judging it solely on looks, younger Aaron Rodgers, I thought was like a pretty good looking guy.
106:40Yeah. Young Rodgers is fine, but old Rodgers. He's a pretty haggard looking at this point.
106:45Um, anyway, this will be interesting. The ayahuasca is good on the soul, but perhaps not the skin.
106:50But yeah, he was a good looking dude back in the day.
106:54That should be the pot announcement on Instagram. I think the, the things that he's kind of in the two of a
107:00camp, the things that he's said over the last few years, probably not helping a lot.
107:05Like what? You know, you know, Craig, I don't have to say it.
107:09He is inoculated against criticism in this. No, no, no.
107:12Immunized. He's been immunized. Sorry. Immunized. Who is going to be his running mate again?
107:16I can't remember. Probably somebody really smart. Can anyone do an impression of that guy?
107:21With their head on straight. Someone who definitely doesn't have a weird thing for dead animals on the side of the road.
107:27All right. I want to know five. I'm saying Dak or Herbert.
107:31Wait, are we going? Are we doing another one here?
107:34Yeah. I thought we were done. This is bonus points here.
107:37The fifth, the fifth hottest quarterback as determined by the seven is Dak Prescott.
107:41Quarterback. Dak. Dak's good looking. He's got a real beefcake energy.
107:44He does. Did you see the picture of him recently?
107:47His arms are fucking huge. He looks like he looks like a bodybuilder.
107:51Like he could be like a stunt double for the rock.
107:54You know, right? Like he has that build, that frame.
107:57It's a thick boy. He's thick. You guys think of the bald head?
108:01What do you think of the bald head? Like, no, because he had he didn't always have it.
108:06I think it looks great on him. So someone commented that for having no hair, Dak has a good face shape and beard to make it work.
108:14It's true. The beard, like he's got the Statham thing where he looks great with a bald head.
108:19Really great mustache when he wants it. Like this guy could be the new Tom Selleck.
108:24Look at the jawline on this guy. Yeah. No, Dak has.
108:27Dak also is like kind of intense in the energy.
108:30Someone wrote. Love the R. Except when he yells, here we go.
108:34Here we go. Just because, you know, voice cracks a little bit of an ick.
108:38But I otherwise I think this is the I think this is the right answer.
108:43Dak also like in person is like he's just an intense guy.
108:46He's got command. He looks intense. He also he's he's all natural.
108:50Definitely no veneers on this guy. Also has a cool name.
108:53Yeah. Great name. Dak Prescott. Like that's like Vin Diesel.
108:56Dak Prescott. You know, Dak Prescott. Is he going to go into acting after this?
109:00His name is Dakota, right? Yeah. Dakota Rain. Ready?
109:03Oh, no, it's his name is Rain Dakota Prescott.
109:06Oh, yeah. It's Rain Dakota. Good call. Rain Dakota.
109:08I mean, even Rain R. A. Y. N. E.
109:11Is cool. Dude, we're trying to give all these guys cool names.
109:14Dak's just shedding good names. He's got too many.
109:17He should give rain to someone who needs it.
109:20We had to rename a quarterback rain. Rain Love.
109:22Give it to Michael Penix. Michael Rain. Oh, you're making it the last name.
109:27Sure. Why not? Daniel Jones. Rain Jones. Rain Jones.
109:29Now he's cool. I don't like how you changed the name Daniel.
109:33That's kind of rude. Rain Jones is good. What's the insinuation there?
109:36You changed the name Daniel. Yeah, you didn't even go by Daniel.
109:40You were Daniel until you were like 25. No, I'm just saying that's my name.
109:44And Craig chose to choose that. Why don't we call you Daniel on the podcast?
109:49Yeah, well, you're not Daniel. You can call me Daniel.
109:51That's fine. No, it's not. Some of my friends call me Daniel.
109:55Caleb Williams. If I called you Daniel, you would comment on it.
109:59Here, Caleb Williams. It's just like you're mad at me.
110:01Rain Williams. Rain. Oh, I'm thinking of Rain Wilson.
110:04I was trying to be like, who's the famous Rain?
110:07Oh, Rain Wilson. Yeah. Dwight. Dwight. Yeah, that's tough.
110:10Yeah. Do we get any comments? Wait, sorry. We already did those.
110:13No, no. We haven't done a Dak comment. From the sevens?
110:16Okay. Someone just wrote, Dak kind of looks like a shark.
110:20Ooh. Complimentary. I get that. Someone wrote, trying to say this respectfully, but Dak is proportionally captivating.
110:25Okay. I didn't know what that meant, and I wanted to guess.
110:28Trying to say it. If you took away the trying to say it respectfully, I'd think it was a compliment.
110:34Is that like, yeah, I was like, are they saying he's fat?
110:38Are they trying to say this about his bulge?
110:40I don't even know what that means. He seems like he's got a large head, but he's also got a large body, so it's okay.
110:48Yeah, I don't even know what that means, proportionally captivating.
110:51Has this person spent a night with Dak, and they can attest to how proportionally accurate he is?
110:56Who can say? Yeah. I don't know. Someone also said the Lowe's commercials moved him up the list, which again, blew my
111:02mind, because I actually think he's terrible at the Lowe's commercials, but what do I know?
111:07I can't even remember this. Doesn't he also have like a mattress thing?
111:11Doesn't he do mattress commercials? Yeah, he did the sleep number.
111:14Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. He did a lot of ads that one year.
111:18Yeah. And then someone just wrote, imagine if he had any charisma whatsoever would do wonders.
111:23I will say this. I think Dak was more punished.
111:26The real comments was how many people were like, I don't want to rank him this high because I hate the Cowboys, but I will.
111:33So I think he overcame the Cowboy bias, which I thought actually spoke volumes.
111:37Totally. I get that. He's a handsome guy. Fourth round pick.
111:40Is he going to be the lowest drafted quarterback in the top five?
111:44Probably by a significant amount. Well, no. Yeah, we got Jalen Hurts as a second rounder.
111:49So yeah. Yeah. Okay. Any other thoughts? So Dak at five, Tua at six, Jordan Love at seven, Shadur at eight.
111:55I was shocked by Jordan Love and Tua. Same.
111:58Dak, I think, is in the right spot. And Shadur, this is why I don't understand women.
112:03I'm just surprised that Shadur is below Jordan Love.
112:05I agree. And Tua. I just. Yeah. But again, I think we young men, I think we're viewing it more objectively.
112:11And I think that they're factoring in other things.
112:14That's true. And I will say, Shadur does on the photo look boyish.
112:18Whereas Jordan Love, he does look more like a man, like an older guy.
112:22Like an older guy. Yeah. I don't know. Dak, I think Dak also looks most like a man than any quarterback.
112:28Dak, if you were going to be like, rank these guys by like, who could chop down a tree?
112:34Yeah. He's bringing on the bacon. This guy. Yeah.
112:36Who could pick me up the easiest? Dak. Make me feel small.
112:40You know what I mean? Yeah, I think you're right.
112:43He's a throwback man. Women just want to be picked up.
112:46You know what I mean? Dak can do it.
112:49Yeah. Who could pick me up, set me on the kitchen counter?
112:52Dak. Yeah. He's going to be good for all these memes.
112:56Yeah. All right. Thank you to The Seven. That's right.
112:58Shouts out to The Seven. You know, there's a great bar in Boston called The Sevens.
113:03We should go there. Ooh. Oh, wow. Okay. And Beacon Hill.
113:06I've been a couple times. Maybe that's our next.
113:09That's where we got to. We should meet The Seven at The Sevens.
113:13Yeah. We'll do a Sevens meetup. Yeah. I'd say we bring Drake May too, but he probably is not old enough to get in the bar.
113:21No. Shador couldn't get in. Brock Purdy. No way.
113:23No. DK would have to say it's his son.
113:26Brock Purdy could be DK's son. Okay. Thank you to all seven of our women listeners who emailed in their rankings.
113:32Once again, great work. The final four next week.
113:35Next job. Woo. We're at the final four. Thank you, DK.
113:38Thank you, Craig, for coming back from Hawaii. I was worried.
113:41Yeah. Yeah. Thank you to Cam. Thank you to Abu.
113:44Thank you to Nikhil. Thank you to Austin. Thank you, Carlos.
113:47Thank you, everyone, for listening. Email us for... What did we ask for?
113:51Not Jason Statham related. What do we want? I still want punishments for the Ringer Fantasy Football League.
113:56We have some of those. I'll read them this week.
113:59And did we ask for... What was it? I don't know.
114:03What else did we ask for? Also, by the way, you guys on one of the other episodes that I wasn't on
114:09talking about names that are appropriate to the highest degree.
114:12Usain Bolt. You're right. That's number fucking one. That's a big one.
114:15All time. Tony Hawk and Usain Bolt are as good as it can get.
114:20Yeah. Never topped. I don't remember what I asked for.
114:23So that's too bad. Thank you, Lord. Lord. Millennial Bangers continues.
114:26Guys, it's July 27th. And so I think we only have one more after this, which is sad.
114:31It's been really fun doing this. I'm going to make a playlist, I think, of Millennial Bangers and share it with people.
114:38That's a good idea. I'm going with... We're going back to 2007.
114:41We're hanging out with DJ Feli Fell. Get Buck in Here.
114:44An absolute banger of a song. Get Buck in Here.
114:47Get Buck in Here. It also features P. Diddy, unfortunately, as well as Akon, Ludacris, and Lil Jon.
114:53This song rips. This is like a high school basketball warm-up top 10 song.
114:57It was in that era where if you listen to it...
115:00Just a bit. It's just, we're going to get Buck in Here.
115:03That's basically it. It's like... It's fucking dope. Still bangs.
115:06They don't make beats like that anymore. And it's also like...
115:10It's from the era when you would hit plan a song.
115:13For the first 15 or 20 seconds, it was just all the producers and DJs on it saying their name before the song started.
115:20It was just like, DJ Feli Fell. It was like, I don't think they're ready for this one.
115:25It's like, Akon. DJ Khaled's like, we the best.
115:28It's like there's like 15 seconds of that. And then the song plays.
115:32It was a good era. It was great. There was a time there during the Napster years.
115:37I don't know if you guys got to experience those.
115:40But where a lot of songs would have remixes and all the DJs that would remix the downloaded songs would be shouting
115:46out their names and stuff like that. That's what it was like.
115:50I mean, DJ Khaled got two... He would yell, we the best and DJ Khaled.
115:54Also, he took it from the beginning of the song to every verse and every chorus.
115:59He'd be like, DJ Khaled. We the best. Well, that was like the whole Lil Jon.
116:03What? Akon would do Akon and he would do Convict Music.
116:07Right. So people get in their shit. Well, you got to bring the producer and the label.
116:12You got to get both in. Mike Jones. Come on.
116:15I'm going to be honest. This one wasn't really in my world.
116:18I got to tell you, I've never heard this song.
116:21What? I'm trying. I have been. I'm very honest about this.
116:24Wait till you get to the 18 second mark when the song actually begins.
116:28Elite. I mean, I can see the appeal of this song for sure, but it never really.
116:33It wasn't part of my life. Damn. Also, just the phrase get buck in here is so 2007.
116:39Yeah. Get buck in here. DJ Felly fell. A bunch of white kids running out for California high basketball with the ripoff pants.
116:45Throw those off. This song's going. Everyone's doing layup lines.
116:48Fire it up. Till I Collapse is coming next.
116:51It's great. Till I Collapse. Come on now. Till I Collapse.
116:54Stop. Elite. Elite high school warmup song Till I Collapse as well.
116:58Damn. All right. You did have to build to Till I Collapse because you couldn't just play that first because then I
117:04would just run through a wall 20 minutes to the game.
117:07You had to build to Till I Collapse. Na, na, na, na, na, na.
117:12That is the most. There is no three seconds in humanity that's more important than the beginning of that song.
117:17Till I Collapse, I'm going to go 08. Oh, it's 04.
117:21By Fitz? It's 2002. Holy shit. It's 02. Yeah.
117:23Dude, Till I Collapse, dude. That song. That is like maybe the most important song to my childhood.
117:29Till I Collapse, Banks. Yeah. Like if you could draft songs that you would play before a high school game, like basketball,
117:35football, whatever, like that's the first pick. It's missing a key element though to qualify as a millennial banger.
117:41There needs to be 10% unintentional comedy that comes with the song.
117:44Right. Till I Collapse is just cool. Yeah. It's just cool song.
117:48Get Buck in here is kind of hilarious, but it also bangs, which is why it qualifies.
117:53Dude, Ludacris is on this with Ludacris. This is just like off-brand.
117:56Lil Jon, Akon. Swagger like us. This is Diddy, Akon, Ludacris, Lil Jon.
118:00That's when you can't get Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Kanye, and Eminem.
118:03Yeah. But wow. Who is DJ Felyfell? Who is this guy?
118:07You don't know DJ Felyfell? I have no idea who DJ Felyfell is.
118:10Man, dude. Who is he? DJ Felyfell. He's a DJ.
118:13No shit. James Andrew Rygart. I have no idea who he is.
118:17I mean, all I know him is by that name.
118:20I have no idea what he does. I don't know anything about him.
118:24He did finer things with Kanye and Jermaine Dupri, fabulous at Neo.
118:27Wait. He peaked atop the bubbling under hot 100 chart?
118:30What the fuck does the bubbling under hot 100 chart mean?
118:33People are just outside the 100. Isn't there a top 200?
118:37I don't know. They'll call you number one in the hot under?
118:40What the hell? Maybe it's like rising stars. I don't know.
118:43He had a cameo as himself in Malibu's Most Wanted.
118:46Hmm. Fascinating. I don't know if that's good or bad, but yeah.
118:50Anyway, if you're going for a run, toss on Get Buck in here.
118:54It'll be a blast. He also did It's Your Birthday Bitch with Lil Jon.
118:58Oh. Lil Jon is a real one of one.
119:00Dude, nobody ever liked him. There's no one like Lil Jon.
119:04Lil Jon made a song that's just called Shots, and it just goes, Shots, Shots, Shots, Shots, Shots, Shots, and it was huge.
119:10That song actually takes me back to, you know, partying and shit.
119:14That one, this one doesn't mean anything to me really, but.
119:17Dude, did you know that Lil Jon is 55?
119:20I mean, yeah, dude, he's been around. Shots, Shots, Shots, Shots.
119:23The song Shots is with, it's LMFAO and Lil Jon, and it's called Shots.
119:27Yeah. Yeah. Also, what was great about 07 in that era was like, all the rap was so happy.
119:33Like, all it was about was like, we're going to go out tonight, we're going to get drunk, we're going to have the best night ever.
119:40This is so fun. Like, that was just all the songs.
119:44Yeah. Like, I feel like early aughts, it was a little angrier, and then it started to move into like, man, we're
119:50just, we're drinking drinks and we're dancing and it's the best.
119:53And that was just like every song. It was fucking great.
119:56You think that's what's wrong with rap now is that the Gen Z rappers don't know how to socialize?
120:02It's too moody, yeah. Yeah. The Gen Z rappers.
120:05None of them drink anymore. It used to just be slow ride of being like, this club can't handle me.
120:11This is so fun. Tao Cruz was like, tonight is dynamite.
120:14Like, that was it. Fucking great. It is very true, Craig.
120:17Like, it started out like the club beats. I don't even know what to call this shit, but like, it's like hip hop.
120:24And the idea was like, it's going to be a club hit.
120:27And it was like, in the club is what I immediately think of first and foremost.
120:32And that song is like more, it's like meaner.
120:35I don't know how to express it, but yeah.
120:37And then, yeah, you get into a few years later.
120:40It's angrier. Yeah. Angrier, yeah. And then it just became like Akon and Jayshan were just like, man, what a good night we're having.
120:47This is awesome. Black Eyed Peas were just like, tonight's going to be a good night.
120:52Did you see that video? I sent you the video on Instagram of Will.i.am explaining like some of the lyrics.
120:58It kind of blew my mind when he's like.
121:01I did see that, yeah. When he was like, what is it?
121:04It's like, Mazel Tov. What's the song? It's I Got a Feeling.
121:08I Got a Feeling. And he's like, Mazel Tov.
121:10And that is a, he said he took that sequence from, oh no, now it's going to bother me.
121:16No, I totally know what you're talking about. Fill up my cup, drink.
121:20Mazel Tov. And he picked this because it's the right amount of synonyms.
121:24It's a reference to Psycho Killer because he's like, it was like.
121:27I mean, syllables, Jesus Christ. The song? Yeah. So it's basically, he's like, he's like, Psycho Killer, Kiss Kiss Say.
121:33And he's like, and he took basically that melody.
121:36He's like, yeah, foreign word with how many syllables?
121:38Kiss Kiss Say, Mazel Tov. So he's like, you don't think you've ever heard anything like that, but you have.
121:44And he had all these references and I Got a Feeling too.
121:48Oh, that's kind of cool, yeah. Psycho Killer. And the other one was, I think, September.
121:52Yeah, I don't know. It kind of blew my fucking mind.
121:56The Earth, Wind, and Fire song? Yeah. Yeah. He was mentioning something about singing the days of the week.
122:01Because that's in my mind. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
122:04Friday, Saturday, Saturday. Saturday. And then Sunday. Sure. Goodbye, everyone.
