A.J. Brown

NegativeProjection4:36

The source believes AJ Brown is positioned for an elite fantasy season in New England. Brown is an elite receiver who was not fully engaged in Philadelphia but will be highly motivated on the Patriots. At 29 years old and healthy, the offensive environment is significantly better than his last two years in Philly; Drake May threw 500 more yards than Jalen Hurts has ever thrown in a season and is better equipped to make throws complementing Brown's skill set. Brown adds verticality the Patriots lacked and can line up in the slot more than he did in Philadelphia, where he was dead last in slot usage. The source ranks him 14th overall, though other analysts have him 21st and 36th, reflecting significant variance in the market. The source acknowledges the Eagles traded Brown for a reason and that he checked out on a contending team, which is a red flag, but contextualizes this as motivation for a fresh start rather than a permanent concern.

Insight page

Ashton Jeanty

NegativeSleeper38:24

The source believes Ashton Jenty will be underrated this year because the Raiders offense will focus heavily on getting the ball to Brock Bowers, but Jenty benefits from the same offensive philosophy. The source is not worried about a rookie QB dip affecting the tight end room, suggesting Jenty has value as a secondary target in an offense designed around tight end usage. Jenty will be underrated because Kirk Cousins is likely to play extended time, meaning the Raiders offense won't experience a rookie quarterback dip.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveUsage47:00

When Tua Tagovailoa is playing for the Falcons, Bijan Robinson will be the number-one running back in fantasy football due to the volume of dump-offs and screen passes in Tua's quick-hitting offense. The source compares this to how Devon Achan was top-two in targets and yards with 80 catches when Tua was in Miami. Robinson's fantasy value will fluctuate significantly depending on whether Tua or Michael Penix Jr. is the starting quarterback, as Penix pushes the ball downfield more.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

NegativeBreakout38:24

The source is very bullish on Brock Bowers, stating he wants Bowers in every fantasy team this year. The source believes Bowers will be the focal point of the Raiders offense similar to how Jackson Smith-Njigba was the centerpiece of the Seahawks offense, and projects Bowers as a potential top-three tight end in targets, catches, and yards. The source believes Bowers will be underrated this year because Kirk Cousins is likely to play extended time, meaning the Raiders offense won't experience a rookie quarterback dip. The source emphasizes that he cannot miss a Bowers season where that upside is on the table, acknowledging the risk of discussing this in July before the Raiders' actual performance but maintaining conviction in Bowers' target volume and role.

Insight page

Christian Kirk

PositiveRole32:00

Christian Kirk has a history of injuries beyond his recent shooting incident; the source suggests he won't command a meaningful target rate in the 49ers offense and won't significantly cut into Mike Evans' target share.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

PositiveUsage52:00

Devon Achan was kept by the Dolphins and will be a primary target in Malik Willis' run-heavy offense (36-37% pass rate). The source projects Achan will get significant volume in the Dolphins' quick-hitting offense. Achan's previous success in Miami under Tua—where he was top-two in targets and yards with 80 catches—suggests similar dump-off volume under Willis.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeUsage47:00

Drake London's fantasy value is highly dependent on which Falcons quarterback is starting. When Michael Penix Jr. plays, London projects as a top-six receiver, comparable to Puka Nakua in receiving categories, as Penix pushes the ball downfield and gives London shots down the field. However, when Tua Tagovailoa is the starter, London's value drops significantly due to Tua's quick-hitting, dump-off heavy offense that favors Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson instead. London suffered a PCL injury (knee stability) around the time Penix was replaced, adding injury concern to the quarterback uncertainty.

Insight page

Emmett Johnson

NegativeRole19:15

Fifth-round rookie pass-catching running back unlikely to significantly cut into Kenneth Walker's workload; the source notes that rookie day-three running backs rarely earn primary pass-catching work in their first year, describing it as 'almost never' happening.

Insight page

Fernando Mendoza

NegativeProjection36:00

The source does not expect Fernando Mendoza to be a fantasy-relevant player this year; Mendoza was the first overall pick from undefeated national champion Indiana but had only two snaps under center in his final college season, and Kubiak's offense won't need to be dumbed down with Kirk Cousins as the likely starter. Mendoza is more of a rushing quarterback than Cousins, which affects the Raiders' passing game distribution. The source believes Mendoza's mentality is well-suited to the setup where he must earn the starting job and sit behind Cousins initially; Mendoza understands the process and is willing to go through it, unlike JJ McCarthy. Mendoza could play the entire year if Cousins gets injured (e.g., pulls a calf in week two).

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeInjury27:00

George Kittle is recovering from an Achilles injury and appears to be ahead of schedule. The source notes the location of his Achilles tear was apparently easier to repair, suggesting a better-than-average recovery trajectory, though recovery timelines remain uncertain.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveValue59:00

Jalen Waddle is 'clearly the best highest upside player you could draft in this range' at wide receiver 24 (mid-fourth round, ~47th overall pick), going behind Mike Evans. Despite historical frustration with Waddle's projection-to-production gap (the 'Waddle model': projected 12, scores 7), the source believes 'it's more likely that he overperforms over expectation this year than not.' The key uncertainty is Sean Payton's snap allocation philosophy; last year Sutton had 85% of snaps while the next closest was 58%, but Waddle is 'obviously a different level talent wise.' The source argues 'You could argue that's because no one was good enough to earn 80% of the snaps. So maybe this is the year where it's Sutton and Waddle and everybody else kind of rotates.' Davis Webb is now the offensive coordinator (not Payton calling plays early in the season), which the source views as a potential mitigating factor against Payton's unpredictable rotation tendencies.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

PositiveRole71:00

The source identifies Jordan Tyson as the Saints' draft pick at receiver, described as "the highest upside receiver in the draft at Arizona State." Tyson's impact in the passing game alongside Chris Olave will make it easier to run the Saints' offense. The source frames Tyson as part of a coordinated offensive build: offensive lineman David Edwards makes it easier to run and pass, Tyson's receiving impact makes it easier to run, and Travis Etienne's running ability makes it easier to pass. The source believes the Saints will "win this division" with these additions.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveProjection15:30

The source views Kenneth Walker as one of the best value players in all fantasy football this year. Walker signed a three-year, $43 million deal with Kansas City (average $14.3M annually), making him the sixth-highest-paid running back in the NFL behind Saquon, CMC, Devon Achane, Derrick Henry, and Breece Hall. When a team pays a running back $14M per year, he will get the overwhelming majority of carries and not lose work to fifth-round rookies like Emmitt Johnson. Walker is plan A, B, and C for the Chiefs' offensive explosiveness. He will get goal-line touches because all other Chiefs running backs are very small and the team did not bring back Kareem Hunt. The Chiefs have been literally dead last in every important explosive rushing metric over the last two seasons, and Walker's skill set—he is a home-run hitter who can create explosives on the ground—directly addresses this critical need. Andy Reid's screen-design expertise will utilize Walker's pass-catching ability; Walker is a better pass catcher than people think. Walker was frustrated with Seattle's usage, particularly being taken off the field near the red zone, and views his move to Kansas City as a 'prove it' opportunity with motivation to demonstrate he's an elite running back. The source projects Walker as a potential first-round pick and likely the best second-round pick available, ranking him as a mid-to-late second-round pick behind eight running backs (Jameer Gibbs, B.J. Robinson, Jonathan Taylor, McCaffrey, James Cook, Derek Henry, Ashton Gentis, Saquon) and in a tier with Devon Achane, Marion Hampton, Chase Brown, and Kyron Williams. The source expects Walker to get 20+ touches per game depending on passing game usage, with elite ceiling if deployed heavily in the passing game.

Insight page

Kirk Cousins

PositiveProjection34:50

The source argues Kirk Cousins has a serious chance to play most or all of the season for the Raiders despite Fernando Mendoza being the first overall pick; Cousins finished 2025 4-0 and looked better after tearing his Achilles in 2023 and struggling in 2024, and the source believes ownership will eventually push for the veteran over the rookie. However, the source does not expect Cousins to be a fantasy-relevant player regardless of whether he plays; his value is primarily in how his presence affects other Raiders skill players like Brock Bowers and Ashton Jenty. The Raiders face a difficult early schedule (Dolphins, Chargers, Saints, Chiefs, Patriots, Bills, Rams, Jets, 49ers, Seahawks, Broncos in weeks 1-11).

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

PositiveUsage47:00

Kyle Pitts will see increased target volume when Tua Tagovailoa is playing, as Tua's quick-hitting offense favors tight end targets. When Kirk Cousins came to the Falcons (in Minnesota), Pitts had the best stretch of his entire career as a tight end, suggesting that Cousins' quick-processing style benefits Pitts. Pitts will be a primary target when Tua is playing, contrasting with Drake London's reduced value in that scenario.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveValue64:54

Kyler Murray projects as a top-12 quarterback floor with upside to top-10, based on two key factors: (1) Murray has 'basically never not been a top 12 fantasy quarterback or scored less than like 17 fantasy points a game' (excluding last season's ACL recovery), and (2) Kevin O'Connell's quarterbacks have 'basically other than JJ McCarthy, never not had a top 12 fantasy quarterback that he has coached or has a guy that scored less than 17 fantasy points per game.' Murray is going as a fringe top-20 quarterback in drafts despite stepping into a Vikings offense with Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and Juwan Jennings. The source calls this 'like kind of a cheap shot of the guy, maybe being like a top 10 quarterback on a good offense playing indoors.' Murray could reasonably be the last starting quarterback taken in a 12-team league, making him a value pick. The source notes Murray is 'probably the most underrated player in the NFL at this point, because Kyler, I think at this point people have forgotten how talented he is' due to his time in Arizona being a 'wasteland football wise' and off-field distractions (video game memes). In his five games last year after returning from ACL injury, 'his legs seemed to come back a little bit' and 'there's some rushing potential with them.' Justin Jefferson's enthusiasm for Murray is notable: 'the way that Justin Jefferson talks about Kyler Murray is very funny. If you read between the lines, especially he's like, he just knows how to put touch on the ball,' which the source characterizes as 'such a shot across the bow of the other quarterback who's there right now' (JJ McCarthy). However, there is a caveat: Murray and JJ McCarthy are splitting reps at minicamp/OTAs, and the source is 'very curious to see when training camp comes, if they just allow Kyler to take all the reps or how long they split that,' as splitting first-team reps all August could hurt his development.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeProjection52:00

Malik Willis is characterized as 'this year's Justin Fields, but with like a couple pluses next to his name'—a better passer than Fields with a 36% pass rate in three starts with the Titans and 37% with the Packers, indicating the Dolphins will run the ball heavily. Willis is the fastest quarterback in the NFL (possibly faster than Lamar Jackson) with an absolute cannon arm, but the source does not project him as a top-15 quarterback in standard 12-team leagues; he's an 11th or 12th round upside pick. While his rushing totals across three starts (6 carries 41 yards, 6 carries 73 yards 1 TD, 9 carries 60 yards 2 TDs) are 'legitimately sustainable from a fantasy perspective,' the Dolphins' poor record, tanking situation, and terrible receiver core (Jalen Tolbert, Tutu Atwell, Malik Washington as presumptive starters, with rookies Chris Bell, Caleb Douglas, Kevin Coleman behind them) constrain his ceiling. Limited passing production (more than 200 yards twice, more than 140 yards twice in his career) further limits upside. The source advises: 'Don't draft him' and notes he's 'the kind of guy that maybe you cut.'

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

NegativeRole43:00

Michael Penix Jr. is competing with Tua Tagovailoa for the Falcons starting job while recovering from his third ACL surgery. Penix has only played 14 games and 12 starts, making him inexperienced despite being a top-10 pick. If Penix starts, he will push the ball downfield more than Tua, creating different fantasy dynamics for Falcons receivers. The source leans slightly toward Penix starting but acknowledges it could go either way, with Tua potentially starting and Penix getting time to recover later in the season.

Insight page

Mike Evans

PositiveProjection26:00

The source believes Mike Evans is a great fit in San Francisco and will be really good if healthy, drawing comparison to Devante Adams' success in LA. Evans is expected to dominate targets in the 49ers offense given thin receiver competition; with Juwan Jennings and Kendrick Bourne gone, there are 143 vacated targets. Ricky Pearsall has flashed but hasn't proven anything at the NFL level and has injury issues. Christian Kirk has a history of injuries beyond his recent shooting incident and won't command a meaningful target rate. Rookie John Stribling is expected to be redshirted in Kyle Shanahan's offense. The two guys expected to get the ball the most in this offense are Christian McCaffrey and Mike Evans. The source views Evans as a fourth-round pick (mid-40s ADP) and argues he's being overlooked despite strong underlying metrics; the source believes Evans will have a better fantasy season than Luther Burden and notes that even before last year, his underlying stats looked good, suggesting he still has elite talent.

Insight page

Ricky Pearsall

NegativeRole32:00

Ricky Pearsall has flashed in training camp but hasn't proven anything at the NFL level and has had injury issues; he's unlikely to command a significant target share in the 49ers offense.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

PositiveValue14:00

The source expresses strong interest in Romeo Dobbs as a solid number-two receiver in New England, calling him the captain of the 'all boring team'—players who could define the season despite low name value. Dobbs had the same points per game last year as Mike Evans and DJ Moore, indicating strong underlying production. He is a good route runner who came through consistently for Green Bay when receivers were injured, making reliable third-down plays. In New England, Dobbs becomes a rock-solid complementary piece alongside AJ Brown, with the Patriots' receiving corps now settling into more appropriate roles. The source expects Dobbs to be a lovely flex option on fantasy teams.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

PositiveRole71:00

Travis Etienne signed a $12 million per year deal with the New Orleans Saints and is part of a Saints offensive rebuild designed to improve the team's ability to run and pass. Etienne's 'abilities running back will make it easier to pass' in an offense that also added offensive lineman David Edwards and drafted receiver Jordan Tyson. The source believes 'the Saints are going to win this division' and that the team is 'going to be pretty good,' positioning Etienne as a key piece in the Saints' offensive scheme under head coach Kellen Moore.

Insight page

Tua Tagovailoa

PositiveProjection45:00

The source is skeptical of Tua Tagovailoa's ability to succeed with the Falcons, attributing much of his previous success in Miami to Mike McDaniel's system, Tyreek Hill, and Jalen Waddle rather than Tua's own talent. The source describes Tua as having low physical traits, noting he cannot throw deep balls effectively (receivers have to come back for them), cannot move, and cannot throw on the move. The source characterizes Tua as a 'point guard' or 'short point guard who can't create his own shot' who is 'really limited.' However, Tua can run a quick-hitting offense and will likely play at some point this season, with his presence affecting Falcons skill players' target distribution. When Tua plays, Bijan Robinson becomes the number-one running back in fantasy due to dump-offs and screens, while Drake London's value drops and Kyle Pitts sees increased targets.

0:58Welcome to the Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Heifetz and I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck.
1:04And today, we are going to remind you all the players who changed teams because it's July and we were actually about
1:11roughly two months out from beginning of the NFL season.
1:14And we figured you might not have remembered that, like, you know, Tua is on the Falcons now.
1:19So, DK, just in case everyone is a little blown away by that, we figured we'd start at the beginning.
1:25Just a little refresher to get you back into the fantasy mindset.
1:28That's kind of what we're doing. Honestly, like looking through this list, I was like, oh, I forgot about that.
1:34Exactly. A few different guys. So, yeah, it'll be fun to kind of explore who's on new teams, what they could do on those new teams.
1:41This is preparing you for the summer barbecue when your dad or your uncle is like, Tua Tunga Vailoa is on the Falcons?
1:48Now, you'll be prepared for that after listening to this episode.
1:51Also, but no uncle can say Tunga Vailoa. That's the problem.
1:54That's true. That's true. No. As an uncle, you're just, you can't say that.
1:58You're going to fuck it up for sure. That's how it goes.
2:02If your sibling has a child, you cannot say Tunga Vailoa anymore.
2:05It's just go to that. My sibling just had a child.
2:08Thank you. Everyone emailed in for the dad advice.
2:11I can't say, I just got to say Tunga.
2:13Yeah. Mazel tov. Yeah. You should ask for uncle advice.
2:16It seems, I mean, it seems pretty easy. Yeah.
2:19Okay. We'll see, I guess. I feel like I got.
2:22I'm getting a little cocky on that one. That's how you're doing.
2:25Yeah. He's like, as soon as he hands you that baby, you're going to not know what the hell to do, bud.
2:32No, of course not. But then I wouldn't be an uncle.
2:35So. Okay. We're going to go through everything. And also just to let people know, we have an announcement coming next week.
2:41So if you were in the California-ish area, stick around for next week.
2:45We have an announcement next week. California-ish. No, if you're in the Southern California area.
2:49Southern California. It's a big state. Yeah. Area. Nevada might be hard.
2:53Arizona. It's like, you know, in theory that you could, that might work, but that'd be probably pretty hard.
2:58Good point. Okay. So we're going to do hot quarterback, the honorable mentions.
3:02We're going to unveil our hot quarterback rankings as well.
3:05So at the end of this, we'll do honorable mentions for hot quarterbacks.
3:08I cannot wait for that. We have, you're underselling it.
3:11We have pulled the seven, all, all seven of them have weighed in and created their rankings.
3:16Hundreds and hundreds of the seven. Hundreds of the seven have weighed in.
3:20And we have created a composite ranking of the hottest quarterbacks, the top 16 hottest quarterbacks in the NFL.
3:25And today we're going to be starting with the honorable mentions, the, you know, the first four out, if you will, that
3:32didn't make the cut of the hottest 16 quarterbacks in the NFL starting quarterbacks.
3:36I cannot wait to see who they chose or who they didn't choose.
3:39It's interesting. It's almost like they don't agree with the male gaze of what it's like.
3:44We don't know what women want. Exactly. It might, that might be the case.
3:48I could spend 20 minutes examining like, like what, what the dad bod appeal is and how men often think that the
3:54ideal male body type is like looking like Chris Evans in Captain America.
3:58Yeah. Yeah. Hugh Jackman. And women sometimes are like, oh, Chris Pratt before Marvel has a better body than Chris Pratt after Marvel.
4:05So. Parks and Rec Chris Pratt. It's fascinating. Exactly.
4:07So before we do that though, we are going to go through players, the important players who change teams.
4:13No offense to Jalen Naylor signing a good deal for him to play for the Raiders, you know, no offense to him,
4:19but we're going to go through the biggest players that change teams.
4:23And I want to start with AJ Brown and the Patriots because AJ Brown was traded to New England and they also
4:29signed Romeo Dubs, who, who I'm going to get his name wrong a thousand times.
4:33It's been corrected. Dobbs, Dubs. I never remember. What is it?
4:36Dobbs? I think it's Dubs. I think it's Dubs.
4:39I felt like we came back to Dobbs. I had a crisis of confidence mid-sentence.
4:43But anyway, the point is they're both in New England now.
4:46It's Dubs. Okay. I just think this is going to be really, really interesting.
4:50And I kind of think, I feel like I'm realizing that I am the highest person on AJ Brown, which maybe that's really bad for AJ Brown.
4:58But I feel like there's this unanimous, not unanimous, but I feel like people are like, yeah, well, AJ Brown's lost a step, but he's still.
5:06And I'm like, I feel like AJ Brown is still very much an elite receiver who was not trying as hard last year because he was not focused.
5:14And he seems like he'll be incredibly focused this year.
5:17And I kind of think AJ Brown's in for an elite fantasy season.
5:20And I kind of think the New England passing game is going to be fantastic.
5:25I'm curious to you. I feel like this is a great combination.
5:28AJ Brown and Dubs work perfectly together for multiple reasons.
5:31And I think they were great acquisitions for Drake May.
5:34But I was very ready to kind of just write off the Patriots out of the playoffs and never mind just Super Bowl slump.
5:41Never mind everything that happened with Mike Vrabel this offseason.
5:44And I'm looking at AJ Brown and I'm like, man, I think this is going to be a really good offense.
5:50I think it can definitely be. It has the ceiling of this could be one of the biggest moves in the offseason.
5:56That we see full stop. This could be one of the season defining moves.
6:00If AJ Brown can get back to what he was, if he can provide that explosive value and run after the catch
6:06value that we've seen from him in the past and returns to form or whatever.
6:11But I think it is really high variance. You know what I mean?
6:14You say he wasn't trying. Like, that's a red flag.
6:17That's a pretty big red flag on a team that was good, by the way.
6:22The Eagles were a good team. Is it a red flag?
6:25Yeah, absolutely. What are you talking about? A guy on a good team wasn't trying?
6:29It's a red flag if he stayed on the team.
6:32But he's on a new team. Okay, but I- His favorite team.
6:35He had the carpet and everything. He's wanted to be a patron as well.
6:39Craig, come on. Is this a red flag? Is this a red card?
6:43A yellow card? I can't believe you're arguing with me that that's not a red flag.
6:48Like- Kyle, lean closer to Heifetz here. Even if you look at our rankings, like, we're all over the place.
6:53Heifetz has him- This is overall rankings heading into 2026.
6:56Heifetz has him 14th overall. I have him 21st and DK has him 36th.
7:00If I was a gambling man, I would say that it's much more- I would bet that AJ Brown has a top
7:0710 fantasy wide receiver season this year and looks closer to what we all remember AJ Brown as, then it falls off
7:13a cliff and it's a mess and it's drama or he's not healthy.
7:17Yeah. I think it's a huge upgrade quarterback-wise in terms of the passing game.
7:21Obviously, Drake may- One of the most accurate and explosive passers last year.
7:25I think that fits perfectly with what AJ Brown's skill set is.
7:28And so that- The quarterback upgrade could be the big thing.
7:31But like, I don't know. Trying to convince me that a guy on a first place team that decided to stop trying
7:37is not a red flag is like ridiculous to me.
7:40It's a weird team though. But I guess I'm looking at it in the context of- Would you rather his numbers decline
7:47because he's old and his knee is no good and he's like physically not what he once was?
7:52Or he was absolutely furious with an offense that didn't make any sense and couldn't get him the ball?
7:57And I'm like- I mean, you're changing the question, I guess.
8:00But sure, like it's better than being hurt, I guess.
8:03I don't know. I think there were still moments last year.
8:07Like the beginning of the fantasy season with AJ Brown was an unmitigated disaster.
8:11I would know. I had him and I hated it.
8:13It was the worst experience ever. However, things did kind of rebound a little bit.
8:18And he actually, for a stretch, kind of just seemed like good old AJ Brown again.
8:22And I mean, just Drake May versus Jalen Hurts and what the New England offense does versus Philly.
8:27Like Drake May last year threw for 500 more yards than Jalen Hurts has ever thrown in a season.
8:33And like not only that, like Drake May is I think able to make more throws that complements what AJ Brown can
8:39do on the field a little bit better than Jalen Hurts can.
8:43So I'm like, if AJ Brown, he turned 29 years old like a week ago.
8:47Like if the health is fine and he's fine, like I think the offensive environment is like way better than it was the last two years in Philly.
8:55Horrible, horrible season for AJ Brown, right? DK, disgusting, abysmal, pathetic.
8:58Oh, here it comes. He's going to pull out a stat.
9:01It's coming. What was he? Like the wide receiver 12?
9:04Total points. So yeah, he was 11th. Yeah. Last year.
9:07If you look at the, if you cut out week 18, because I think you should.
9:12But like, he was 11th in a season that ever.
9:15It was snip snap because obviously he was absolutely abysmal and obviously he was terrible for where you drafted him.
9:20And you probably didn't make the playoffs if you had him on your team.
9:24But the fact that he even was 11th in total points in a season that was like universally derided.
9:30I don't know. I just look at him as a player that, yeah, I would have preferred him being completely motivated.
9:36And I don't know. So I'd be really frustrated if I was an Eagles fan.
9:40But I look at him on the Patriots and I see a few things.
9:44Not to mention that I'm not comparing him to Randy Moss.
9:47But as you talk about disinterested players who went to New England and then had the best season of their careers.
9:53I'm just saying it's not like it's never happened.
9:56But I look at, I think that it was a good move for New England.
10:00Oh, you're saying total points. You're not saying points per game.
10:04You're saying, I see what you're saying. Okay. Because I was like, what the fuck are you talking about?
10:0912. 12. But yes, because he played the majority of the season, that helped him a lot.
10:14That's such a classic like season long versus the per game.
10:17It's always great. But both are flawed for multiple reasons.
10:20I mean, you look at averages, look at fucking Zay Flowers or whatever.
10:24And I'm like, man, no one felt like he was a top 15 receiver.
10:28Oh, you know what? Hold on here. I'm going to give Heifetz some credit.
10:32You should have done per game, dude. He was 12.
10:35That's my point. That's what I said. 12. I was spot on.
10:38I think, by the way, I feel like I'm coming in as the anti-AJ.
10:42I'm not like necessarily out on AJ Brown. I think I'm just like admitting and sort of acknowledging that there's a reason the Eagles traded him.
10:50And I think we can't just like completely ignore that fact that he like checked out on a team that was still in the hunt.
10:57Like this isn't like he was on some piece of shit team that was, you know, he's just trying to get through the season.
11:04Like they were contenders. May I make a loose and perhaps messy comparison to another 29-year-old who just got traded, Jalen Brown.
11:10Yeah, there we go. Who, you know, the situation was clearly not right.
11:14And for whatever reason, what was going on inside that team was not working.
11:18And now that he's on a different team, the Sixers, I think Jalen Brown is going to be fantastic, just like he was on Boston.
11:25But I'm like, I kind of think AJ Brown, I think we're going to like, it's going to be week one.
11:31And AJ Brown is going to have like 80 yards at half.
11:34And I'm going to be like, ah, fuck. You smile.
11:37I just realized that you're comparing a guy named Brown and a Boston related trade who is incredible on a Super Bowl
11:44and on a championship level team, a team that won a championship pretty convincingly two years ago.
11:48And that had a really disappointing second round playoff exit.
11:51First round playoff exit. A couple, a couple of things in line there.
11:55More comparisons than you think. I think, but to get to the point, I think that the questions about AJ Brown, I
12:01think I'm not as worried about it as I am for other reasons, but I do think for football reasons, it makes a ton of sense.
12:09We can get off this, but I basically think that AJ Brown for the Patriots adds all the verticality that they were lacking.
12:16I think he's an explosive player. New England did have a ton of explosive athletes on that team.
12:21But also I just think what Drake may did last year was he basically, it's the same way Jaden Daniels two years
12:27ago went like 90% on fourth down and was Drake May's deep passing.
12:31Asking Drake May to push the ball downfield as much as any quarterback except Matthew Stafford and then somehow lead the league completion percentage.
12:38You can't ask him to just be pinpoint accurate for an entire season.
12:41It's just not how the randomness of deep passing goes.
12:44And then it's almost like getting ahead of the sophomore slump before he did it.
12:49I know he's not actually a sophomore slump, but I don't really know the word for a third year player.
12:54Junior slump doesn't really have the same ring to it.
12:57The idea of how you rebound after a bad year or a great year to like lesser.
13:02And I think AJ Brown and Dubs together are so much better than like Keishon Booty and Matt Collins and Stefan Diggs
13:08rotating in for a third of the snaps that the improvement at receiver is more than whatever regression Drake May might have been due.
13:15And Drake May's probably going to become a better player.
13:18So I think it makes sense for X's and O's.
13:21I think all AJ Brown in breakers, verticality, Romeo Dubs can line up at X receiver, line up wherever.
13:27So AJ Brown can line up in the slot more than literally dead last, which is what he was doing for Philadelphia last year.
13:33I think it makes a ton of sense to them.
13:36I just think he's going to get the ball a lot.
13:39We'll see where we can talk about ranking him.
13:42I don't disagree with what you're saying, DK, when you're like, well, the Eagles did trade him because the reality is AJ
13:48Brown had a season ending knee injury. He played through like in 2019.
13:52Like I think he's how will his contract age?
13:55How will he age three years from now? I don't know.
13:58But I do think this season he's on a war path.
14:01So we'll see. Same with Jalen Brown. What do we think about Dubs real quick?
14:05Like, do you are you interested in him at all in fantasy now that AJ Brown is on this roster or do you think it's just.
14:13I'll tell you what I think. We're going to do an episode at some point this preseason.
14:18I don't know when. Call. We do it every year.
14:21It's called the all boring team. Yeah. And it's the boring players that we think could define the season.
14:26And I think Romeo Dubs should be like the captain of the all boring team.
14:30I think he should be the post. If we did have postage for the all boring team, I think Romeo Dubs should be the face of it.
14:38But we'll just blur out their faces because it would defeat the point.
14:42Yeah. I've always liked Romeo Dubs. Dubs? Fuck. I think he's just like a really solid player.
14:47I feel like he came through a lot for Green Bay.
14:50Like when all the receivers are hurt and everything's a mess.
14:53Like I just feel like he was always coming through on like a third down, making good plays.
14:58He's a good route runner. I just like him.
15:01And I think he's a really, really solid number two.
15:04And then in New England, it's kind of nice now because they kept a lot of the receivers they had last year.
15:10Like Booty's still there. Demario Douglas is still there.
15:13Matt Collins is still there. And now they all kind of settle into roles that feel more appropriate to their skill set.
15:19And now it's kind of a nice, well-rounded offensive situation.
15:22But I think Dubs is rock solid. Yeah. He had the same amount of points last year as Mike Evans per game, as DJ Moore per game.
15:30It's like his name value I just think is not.
15:32I think he'll be like a lovely flex on your team.
15:36Yeah. Next up here, DK, I want to ask you about Kenneth Walker, who is the Super Bowl MVP running back for
15:42the Seattle Seahawks and then left to sign with, of all teams, the Kansas City Chiefs.
15:47And this is another guy who's, I think, the volatility and the potential highs versus lows.
15:51He's going to be maybe one of the storylines of the season, honestly, in fantasy.
15:55So he signed a three-year $43 million deal with the Chiefs.
15:59Average annual salary of $14.3 million, which makes him the sixth highest paid running back in the NFL behind Saquon, CMC, Devon A.
16:05Chan, Derrick Henry, and Brees Hall, who also, I believe, signed this offseason.
16:09So, I mean, they paid him like an elite running back.
16:12The question is, can he stay healthy? And are they going to give him elite numbers of touches?
16:17I think what we saw last year at the end of the season, specifically in the playoffs, Zach Charbonnet got hurt in
16:24the divisional round game for the Seahawks. After that, the Seahawks basically were forced to give Kenneth Walker bell cow type carries.
16:30He averaged 24 touches per game, which was awesome.
16:33He scored 23 points per game. If he scored 23 points per game, I mean, you're talking about the running back one, potentially.
16:39And so, I guess just the question is, how much do they plan to use him in this backfield?
16:45That also includes Omari DiMarcato, who is a free agent.
16:48Third down back, Emmett Johnson. Or, sorry, DiMarcato would probably be the third down back.
16:52Then you have Emmett Johnson, who is a fifth rounder.
16:55Rashard Smith, who is a seventh rounder. Jade Knott, who is an undrafted free agent.
16:59It does feel like it's lining up for Walker to have big time carries.
17:03But in the past, Andy Reid has favored a rotation.
17:06So, there's just a lot of questions with Walker.
17:09I think he's one of the best pure runners in the game.
17:12But again, how much are they going to utilize him?
17:15How much are they going to run in this offense, which has been pass heavy in the past?
17:20There's just a lot of moving parts with Kenneth Walker.
17:23I think Ken Walker is going to be in the short list of maybe the single best value players in all fantasy football this year.
17:30And a guy that is probably going to be on a lot of my teams.
17:34The only issue I have is he has a history of foot issues, which is concerning.
17:39But you could get lost in the sauce very quickly on what if my running back gets hurt.
17:44It's like that's kind of how it works. List at any running back.
17:48And you're like Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry.
17:50Any running back can get hurt. What I see when I look at Ken Walker is a guy that is plan A,
17:57B, and C for the Chiefs getting more explosive this year.
18:00And he does two things that I think are going to be essential for the Chiefs, which are he's going to get
18:06the goal line touches because everyone you just mentioned is very small.
18:10All the like they didn't bring Kareem Hunt back.
18:12The Chiefs have had no explosives at running back for two years.
18:16I think they're like literally dead last in every important explosive rushing metric over the last two seasons.
18:21Walker's the whole part of Walker's game is he can create explosives on the ground.
18:25He's a home run hitter. And the other thing is so goal line touches for sure.
18:30The other one is screens. Andy Reid, the head coach of the Chiefs, is famous for like being very detail oriented with screens.
18:36And he's one of the better screen designers in the NFL, which obviously it's just that's explosives and pass catching.
18:42And I think Ken Walker is a better pass catcher than people think.
18:46And I think he's going to get all this.
18:49And again, all the years that sometimes I think people get confused.
18:52It's like, have the Chiefs had a breakdown of roles for players in the past before?
18:57Yeah, that's because they're money balling the running back position.
18:59They're like, well, instead of getting one player for a ton of money that can do everything, why don't we get a
19:06bunch of minimum level players that can all do one thing and stick it together?
19:10But when you decide to pay a running back $14 million a year, he's going to do at least two thirds of it.
19:17He's going to get the overwhelming majority carries. He's not going to lose carries to Emmitt Johnson, a fifth round rookie pass
19:23catching running back that probably won't be able to block for a year.
19:27I look at Ken Walker as a guy that probably should be a first round pick.
19:31And the only reason he's not is because it's weird to take Kenneth Walker over like CeeD Lamb or Justin Jefferson, otherwise,
19:38or James Cook, who led the NFL in rushing.
19:40But I think Kenneth Walker is like going to end up being the best second round pick you could make.
19:46Well, the Chiefs in the Mahomes era has never really had a running back that has panned out from fantasy football.
19:52Other, Kareem Hunt, 2017 was really the last time.
19:55Yeah. And it's like, we've had the Clyde Edwards-Hilaire and Isaiah Pacheco and everything else in between.
20:00It's never quite worked as like a running back kind of needs to be a focal point of the offense for them
20:06to deliver like first round value in fantasy football.
20:08And it's like, do you really see Kareem Hunt getting 20 plus touches a game?
20:13You mean Walker? Sorry. Yes. Kenneth Walker? Yeah. I mean, that is the question.
20:17I think it's more likely than not. No. I think he probably won't get 20 plus touches a game.
20:22I mean, I think yes. I want to see more.
20:25Like, we'll see how camp goes because maybe they're just like, no, they want to manage his load.
20:30But I actually think he will get 20 touches a game.
20:34It just depends on how much they use him in the passing game.
20:37I think that's the big variable here. I think they use him a lot in the passing game.
20:42Then, I mean, the ceiling is elite. If not him, who?
20:46Rashard Smith? I mean, yeah, it's Emma Johnson. Who's a fifth rounder again.
20:49Rashard Smith. Well, here, Emma Johnson, to your point, though, rookie.
20:52Right. You're the draft guy, DK. Off the dome.
20:55How many players each year? How many rookie running backs get, like, primary pass catching work in their rookie year?
21:01I feel like it's exceedingly rare. I mean, and especially among, like, day three guys.
21:05It's almost never. It basically never happens. Like, maybe once every three years a team will do that.
21:10But it feels like the hardest thing to earn.
21:13It's like, you're going to protect the quarterback and catch passes and run routes to the depth.
21:18Yeah, the Walker thing is fascinating because it felt like the Chiefs made it a big priority to do this.
21:24It was, like, sort of their big swing in free agency.
21:27There's a ton of question marks at the receiver core.
21:30I mean, what we're seeing with Rasheed Rice, obviously, he, to me, is a question mark going into the season.
21:35The Xavier Worthy. Did you guys see the video Xavier Worthy posted?
21:39Yeah, it looked super fast. He was cutting and running out there on the grass.
21:43I couldn't tell if it was a parody or not.
21:46Like, that's where we are with Xavier Worthy. It looked like he was, like, a five-star high school prospect.
21:51Yeah, he's just running circles in a field somewhere.
21:54And it was, like, a messy backyard with cones.
21:57Like, the grass wasn't even cut. I've been thinking about cones recently.
22:00I apologize. I don't remember where I learned this.
22:03It was probably on a Ringer show. Someone was talking about how Kevin Garnett, when he would practice, didn't put cones down.
22:09He put shoes down on the courts. Instead of doing dribbling work around cones, he did it around shoes.
22:14Sure, yeah. So he could sharpen, like, exactly where you need to go.
22:18Two shoes instead of one cone. And ever since I heard that, I'm like, why the fuck doesn't everybody do that?
22:24That seems so much better. Yeah, you stuff a shoe with a bunch of socks so it feels like a human foot.
22:31Yeah. You visually step on it, you get a red card.
22:34I don't know. I don't get it. But I guess to your point, do you get a Ken Walker?
22:39Imari De Mercado, maybe he does end up being the third down pass catching screen guy.
22:44And Ken Walker is just the early down guy.
22:46It's not as exciting as they think. But it feels like that's the floor.
22:50Yeah. I also think there's a little bit of, and I don't know, this is very, you know, I don't know what's
22:57going to happen here because who knows. But I do think Walker wants to prove that he's better than what we saw with the Seahawks.
23:04Like he was, it feels like he was straight up mad about how the Seahawks utilized him in his four seasons there.
23:10He didn't go to the, he didn't go to the Super Bowl ring ceremony.
23:14He was the only player on the roster who didn't show up for the Super Bowl ring thing, which I don't know if that was just like scheduling.
23:22I know. But like there was a lot of other players from different teams showed up.
23:27It's not like they kept all their players. I mean, shit.
23:30Rick Wolin was there and the Seahawks like didn't even try to keep him.
23:34So look, that's obviously just one example. But like it felt to me and talking to people after the season, Walker, I
23:40don't think even considered staying in Seattle. He was basically like every time they, every time they got near the red zone, they took him off the field.
23:48I think he was like mad about that and he really wants to prove.
23:52So there's almost like a little bit of revenge thing or not revenge, but just prove that I can be an elite
23:59running back type of deal with this move to Kansas City.
24:02So that's, that's a very, you know, that's probably not something to take too much into account, but not to make everything
24:08about Jalen Brown, but you're telling me that there's a finals champion MVP who then like very recently was then booted from
24:15the team because they think you're replaceable. Oh yeah.
24:17And then Austin brings us up. John Schneider at the Seahawks victory parade was like talking about how I think Kenneth Walker is just like, what the fuck?
24:25He said the GM of the Seahawks was like, Ken Walker just tried to negotiate with me.
24:30What a weirdo. And then later had to admit, I actually made that up because I was nervous.
24:35Yeah. And drunk. And drunk. I was drunk, nervous, and then made that up.
24:39Lethal combo. Yeah. Yeah. So anyways, I don't know.
24:42There's, there's an element of like, prove it this year, even though it's not, it's like, it's almost like a contract year
24:48thing, but not obviously it's, he just wants to prove to people that he's elite guy.
24:53I think he's appropriately ranked. Like I, the running backs, I mean, you can go through a lot calling him a first round value.
25:00I'm like Jameer Gibbs, B. John Robinson, Jonathan Taylor, McCaffrey, James Cook, Derek Henry, Ashton Gentis, Saquon.
25:05Like that's eight guys. I would all very easily take over Kenneth Walker.
25:08Then you have Devon A. Channel, Marion Hampton, Kenneth Walker, Chase Brown, Kyron Williams.
25:12I think, I think he should be in that group.
25:15I think he is like a mid to late second round pick.
25:19Okay. The next player here who I think is a good reason why we do this, because if not, there's like a
25:25photo around on social media and you're like, this guy's on that team, which is Mike Evans signed with the San Francisco
25:3149ers, which I think is exactly the kind of cobwebs you discover in your brain after like watching the World Cup and Wimbledon and NBA free agency.
25:39You're like, Mike Evans is with Kyle Shanahan. So all great players end up in the NFC West.
25:44I don't know. There's just a rule. I don't know why.
25:47Even I kind of forgot. Like I had to, I was like, oh, the Niners this year, who Ricky Pierce saw who they had?
25:54They drafted a guy. Oh shit. Mike Evans is on the Niners.
25:58It kind of works in my head. It feels right.
26:01I don't know why. Maybe it's just the red jerseys translate, but so Mike Evans signed a three-year deal.
26:06It's really closer to a one-year deal worth like 15 million.
26:09He's going to be 33 next month. Mike Evans before last year, we all know he had 11 straight seasons with a
26:16thousand yards and snapped that streak last year. He got hurt, hurt his hamstring and his collarbone.
26:21Um, and I like the previous seasons. He did that.
26:23Didn't come back and get like 500 yards in the final two games.
26:27Right. Beat the finish line. Yeah. To get his like, like a yard bonus.
26:31And then the last play of the game that Baker Mayfield just peppers him with targets.
26:36So he can make a thousand yards. Uh, there's a lot of open targets in San Francisco, like 143 vacated targets.
26:42Juwan Jennings is gone. Kendrick Bourne is gone. George Kittley.
26:45I mean, coming back from an Achilles injury. Like we, he seems to be doing well.
26:49Like I feel like everyone now who tears their Achilles is ahead of schedule, but, um, it's basically now Mike Evans, Ricky Pearsall.
26:56They brought in Christian Kirk and this rookie to John Stribling, who they took in the second round, third round, first pick
27:02of the second round, which is surprising. Look, I think Mike Evans is a great fit in San Francisco.
27:08And I think if Mike Evans is healthy, Mike Evans is going to be really good.
27:12And like what we saw with Devante Adams in LA, I'm like, I think we could see that out of Mike, Mike Evans in San Francisco.
27:20Um, I think it's very similar to the Devante Adams.
27:23Yeah. And like, I think they need a guy like him.
27:26This like big go up and get it guy, a big red zone threat.
27:30Like, especially with George Kittle banged up and older, like I think it's going to be really helpful.
27:35Um, the only issue with Mike Evans, to be honest, is like, I was going back and looking at the history of his hamstring injuries.
27:42Mike Evans has been on the injury report with a hamstring every single year since 2019.
27:47This is why the, the 49ers are trying to move their practice facility currently.
27:51Right. Get away from the fucking whatever transfer zone.
27:53What do you, what do they call it? The, the, uh, substation.
27:57Meanwhile, I still think the substation is the funniest thing in the world.
28:01Okay. Look, we all laugh about it. It's pah, ha, ha.
28:04It's just like conspiracy theory. They're actually, I did read.
28:07They're like trying to move their practice facility. Well, it becomes a problem when the players believe it like that in and of itself.
28:14Like performances, confidence, confidence is execution. Hesitation affects execution.
28:16The funny part of the whole thing to me is that the two, there are like two or three coaches left that
28:22run actual like nineties, 1990s style, hard practices. And it's John Harbaugh who the players blame for him always getting hurt.
28:29And they're like, John Harbaugh's practices are too hard.
28:31And it's a flowers, like John Harbaugh. Like, I'm sorry.
28:34I'm happy to see him go. He was getting us hurt.
28:37And then there's like Kyle Shanahan and everyone's like, he's doing the hardest practices, sprints.
28:41Yeah. And then it's like, I wonder if it's the giant electrical substation.
28:45And it's like, well, maybe it's Kyle Shanahan runs some of the fucking bone every single year.
28:50And that's why as soon as he's shown up, everybody gets hurt every single fucking year.
28:55But whatever. The Mike Evans thing, DK, you joked all year last year and you were right that Devont Adams was basically
29:01a goal line receiver for the Rams. Like instead of a goal line running back, he was just like vulturing them.
29:07I mean, what did Devont Adams end up with?
29:10Like 11, like 12. This is off the top of my head.
29:13He had like seven or eight one yard touchdown.
29:16Yeah. He had 14 touchdowns, which led the NFL.
29:18Yeah. But double digits were from one or two or three yards out.
29:22He was basically Jimmy Graham, you know, just throw it up and go get it.
29:26And so my question is in fantasy, Mike Evans and Devontae feel like in a very difficult bucket because Devontae, you feel
29:33like that's probably going to happen again. But Mike Evans, do you look at him as like a Devontae Adams where you're
29:39like, okay, maybe his value is like spike weeks.
29:42He'll probably win you a couple weeks because he'll have two or three touchdowns in one week.
29:46But elsewhere, it's going to be like, ah, whatever.
29:49Or is there, what are the odds? I guess what I'm asking is what are the odds that you actually get one
29:55last vintage Mike Evans season of like 1300 yards and 14 touchdowns.
29:59And it's like incredible versus like, ah, it'll probably be a shell of himself because it's not necessarily going to be cheap
30:05because everyone understands big name and a cool offense.
30:08Like it's not going to be cheap to get Mike Evans necessarily.
30:11I can't tell. I feel like it's going to be league by league.
30:15I think some people might be like old washed Mike Evans is sitting next to like some sexy young guy like Luther Burden.
30:22It's like, Ooh, I want the upside of Luther Burden.
30:24When in reality, it's like, if you had to put all your chips down, would you say Mike Evans is going to
30:31have a better fantasy season than Luther Burden? I might because it's, it's Mike Evans and it's what Mike Evans does.
30:37Even if you look at like before last year, he was still kind of like all of his underlying stuff still look good.
30:43Like I think Mike Evans still has it and is still good.
30:47And I'm the age thing does not bother me at all.
30:50It's obviously just like, can he, can his hamstrings hold up?
30:53He's a fourth or fifth round pick right now.
30:56Probably a fourth round pick, you know, mid forties.
30:58It's funny because the names around him are actually a perfect exercise for this.
31:02Luther Burden for the bears as someone who hasn't done it yet, but man looks great.
31:07He looks, you know, tall and fast and sexy with the ball in his hands and has not put together a month.
31:13Nevermind his season. And then it's like Mike Evans, Cam Scadabo, young player off an injury, Terry McLaurin, who's kind of like a Mike Evans.
31:20And then like Jalen Waddell, who in theory, you're like, I can't take like, would you rather have the fastest kid alive?
31:27Who's on the Broncos and another guy that's changed teams and could have a huge season.
31:31And then you draft Jalen Waddell. Cause you talk yourself into it with off season brain.
31:36And then the season starts and Mike Evans is playing with Cal Shanahan.
31:40And you're like, holy shit, I probably should have done that.
31:43It's a lot of in theory guys around Mike Evans.
31:46Yes. I think, I think when Craig was laying out sort of the competition for targets in San Francisco right now, it
31:52does strike me as like, there's a pretty strong chance.
31:55Mike Evans just dominates targets in this offense. Ricky Pearsall, uh, I think has flashed, but he hasn't really proven anything.
32:01And also he's had issues with injuries. Um, Christian Kirk.
32:04Yeah. Fuck that guy for his injuries. He's had more, he's had more injuries than just getting shot.
32:09Let's put it that way. It's a funny way to put it.
32:12It's just, he should have been standing there. Right.
32:15Um, don't get the watch, but like, I mean, but like Craig, you're absolutely right.
32:19And I'm seeing, you know, training camp reports of Jacob cowing guys like that.
32:23Like this is a thin group at receiver right now, uh, relative to what we're used to.
32:28I think. And, and obviously if, if it takes kiddo a while to kind of get back and rolling the two, the
32:35two guys are going to get the ball. The most in this offense are Christian McCaffrey and Mike Evans, I think.
32:41And this has always been a good offense. They're going to score points.
32:44Brock pretty is going to put up good numbers almost surely.
32:48And I don't know. I feel like he, Mike Evans is being overlooked because of that.
32:52And I don't think stripling, I don't think Christian Kirk are going to get meaningful target rates where it's going to be taking away from Mike.
33:00No, I, I actually like stripling as the rookie.
33:02And I, I just don't think he's the kind of receiver in a Kyle Shannon offense that will have, he's going to get red shirted this year.
33:10Uh, that's very, uh, Kittle. I do think we'll have a better than average Achilles recovery just based on the articles I
33:16was reading about the, I guess the nature of his Achilles tear was the location of the kind of Terry had apparently
33:23it's easier to repair, but again, still tore his Achilles at the end of the season.
33:27You know, you never know how long that takes.
33:30So that's a good, that's a team we will monitor during August.
33:33Maybe we'll go, we'll bring our electric ray readers or whatever.
33:36The 49ers are a fascinating team, man, because obviously everyone's talking about the Rams right now, the Rams, Superbowl favorites, the Seahawks,
33:43obviously Superbowl defending champions and, and should be a very, very good team again.
33:47But then there's the 49ers who are sneaky good every year.
33:50If they can stay healthy. Um, and they have Shanahan that, you know, I just think the 49ers are going to be
33:56sort of one of those dark horse teams that everyone's like not wanting to play.
34:01Somewhere out there is a Chevy truck and the person who drives it.
34:04Well, that's a Chevy person. You'd probably know one, your buddy, your sister, ones who always show up.
34:10They're the first to rise, the last to leave.
34:12They always have that little extra something. And maybe you've got it too.
34:16Chevrolet together. Let's drive. Visit chevy.com slash trucks to explore the lineup.

34:45Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER or 1-800-MY-RESET. The next guy here that I want to talk about at Switch Teams is Kirk Cousins left the Falcons.
34:52He was cut by the Falcons and then is going to play for the Raiders now.
34:57And he was basically told that he's the week one starter and that Fernando Mendoza obviously was taken number one out of undefeated national champion Heisman winning Indiana.
35:05And then is the number one pick for the Raiders.
35:08I really feel like Kirk Cousins might play three months or maybe most of the entire season.
35:13And a lot of people are kind of assuming that Kirk Cousins will be the honorary starter for one or three or four weeks.
35:20And then Fernando Mendoza will just take over. I think there's a really serious chance that Kirk Cousins plays longer than that.
35:26Again, he tours Achilles in 2023, struggled mightily coming back in 2024 and then finished 2025 like 4-0 and looked better.
35:32I want to play this clip of Tom Brady.
35:35This is from a few years ago talking. It's actually from Stephen A.
35:38Smith's podcast. I want to play the clip so people can hear why I really think there's a chance, but from ownership on down.
35:45But Cam, do you mind playing the Tom Brady clip?
35:48I didn't start my first year. I think it's just a tragedy that we're forcing these rookies to play early.
35:54But the reality is the only reason why they are is because we dumbed the game down, which has allowed them to play.
36:01It used to be thought of at a higher level.
36:03We used to spend hours and hours in the offseason and training camp trying to be a little bit better than next year.
36:10But I think what happens is it discourages the coaches from going to deep levels because they realize the players don't have
36:16the opportunity to go to a deep level. So they're just going to teach them where they're at.
36:22It's really fascinating. I mean, obviously, I think people talk about, oh, we let them sit and learn.
36:27Let them sit and learn. And I think that is the thing that people focus on.
36:31But the way that he was talking about is like the offenses are so much simpler and dumbed down and therefore easier to defend.
36:38I think that's another variable that people don't think about quite as much as, you know, and Kubiak coming in here, theoretically,
36:45run his offense with a veteran quarterback and you don't have to change a damn thing.
36:49You can do everything you want to do. Mendoza, I think, famously had two snaps under center or something like that in his last year in college.
36:57So that's a very fascinating point. And I think something I don't really think about a ton is that the offense gets
37:03dumbed down a lot, too, in addition to playing a guy with not very much experience.
37:08And you're talking about Kubiak as the head coach.
37:10You just came off winning a Super Bowl with the Seahawks offense because of how well designed it was.
37:16Yeah. It depends. Kirk Cousins has been with Clint Kubiak in Minnesota for two or three years.
37:21Like 2019 to 21, Kubiak was there with Kirk.
37:23Yeah, I don't think Mendoza is going to be a fantasy relevant player this year.
37:28No. And I don't think it's an issue for anyone else.
37:31I think for people like Brock Bowers or Jenty, I think it's totally OK.
37:35I don't think so. I think I really do feel that Kirk's going to play.
37:39And I know that it's basically what I'm arguing is it's dangerous.
37:43This is the exception that proves the rule. I agree that almost always, almost 100 percent of the time when they're like,
37:49oh, the number one pick won't play. It's lip service because the owner eventually is going to be like, I want this guy.
37:56And this is the exception that proves the rule.
37:58Turns out that the owner knows more about quarterbacking than everyone has ever lived.
38:02And this is what he thinks. And the owner is going to get what he wants.
38:07It just happens that he wants a different thing, which he thinks in his bones that the quarterback should sit.
38:12I'm like, OK, as long as Kirk plays like last year and not the year before, I think I don't think it has any fantasy relevance at all.
38:21I don't think Kirk Cousins will be a fantasy relevant player.
38:24Mendoza is more rushing, obviously, than Kirk Cousins. What it means to me is I think Brock Bowers specifically and Ashton Jenty
38:30will be underrated this year because I think that the Raiders offense there, I am not worried about Mendoza coming in and there being a rookie dip.
38:38I think Brock Bowers is going to be the Jackson Smith and Jigbo of this offense where every play is going to
38:44be about getting the ball to Bowers. And I want Brock Bowers in every team on fantasy this year.
38:50And if I'm wrong, then that'll suck. But I can't miss a Brock Bowers season where there's a chance that Brock Bowers
38:56is as a tight end top three and every in targets and catches and yards.
39:00And I just if that's on the table, I can't miss that.
39:04And so in a world where I think Kirk Cousins really could play from Thanksgiving to Christmas or more, I don't think
39:10there'll be any drop off for the Raiders offense.
39:13I think the risk here is talking about this in July and when the Raiders start losing games again and everyone starts to get that butt pucker.
39:20I was just about to say that. It's like they're one in four and Kirk doesn't look good.
39:26It's so hard. It depends on how they play.
39:28Obviously, if Kirk Cousins plays horribly, that's one thing.
39:31But I think that first of all, Kirk Cousins finished 4-0 with the Falcons.
39:35I know. I think it really does depend on a lot of things.
39:38But I'm just saying it's really hard. I mean, it's easy to talk about it now.
39:43But once the season starts, it gets really, really hard for T.
39:47And this is Kubiak first year as a head coach.
39:49He might only get one shot at this. You know what I mean?
39:53And so it is very that's why it's so hard for these teams to be disciplined and not put in a young quarterback before he's fully, fully ready.
40:01You almost never see a first overall pick sit for very long.
40:05I guess what I'm saying is I'm not even trying to say that it will never happen for a number one pick
40:11to sit and it's impossible that he plays. But there's never been a better opportunity for a number one pick to sit
40:17ever than Tom Brady getting to run the team and saying, I don't think he should fucking play.
40:22But if Kirk Cousins sucks, basically, if the Raiders, I guess to your point, if the Raiders are bad and Kirk's playing
40:29well, I don't think he'll sit even then. If the Raiders are fine and Kirk is the problem, if Kirk's slowing down
40:35the team, then they could be playing OK and he still could get replaced.
40:39But it's about Kirk's level to me. Look at the schedule is good.
40:43Good God. I feel bad for the Raiders already.
40:45Starts off the season relatively like Dolphins. And then you go to Chargers, Saints.
40:49Week four, you have Chiefs. Week five, Patriots. Week six, Bills.
40:53Week seven, Rams. Week eight, they go back to the Jets.
40:56Then you get week nine, 49ers. Week 10, Seahawks.
40:58Week 11, Broncos. To me, it's like... Good Lord.
41:01The fact that they brought in Kirk Cousins specifically tells you everything you need to know.
41:06Like when you look at other first overall picks or top five quarterback picks, like usually it's the backup is Case Keenum or Gardner Minshew.
41:13And it's like those guys are clearly... Or Mitch Trubisky.
41:16It's like they're going to play for... It's a fake competition.
41:19Yeah. And it's like maybe they'll play for two or three games until everyone gets itchy.
41:23And then the highly touted pick comes in. Kirk is like an established quarterback who was playing well last year.
41:29Who has a relationship with Kubiak. It just feels much more secure that this guy's actually meant to be somebody who could go the entire season.
41:37And it's not like a fake Jacoby Brissette is our starter storyline.
41:40And I also... And the part... And I know I'm like harping on this and I've been harping on it for months.
41:46But the part of the clip from Brady that I cut out is Brady starts the clip by saying, I didn't get handed a job.
41:54He's like, I started by being the seventh quarterback at Michigan.
41:57And I worked my butt off to get to the third quarterback who then became the starter.
42:02Then I went to the league and I was a six-round pick who had to grind to be the backup.
42:07And then I sat my entire rookie year. And I think he literally has the whole thing about you are worse if you're handed things.
42:15You will be better if you have to earn it.
42:17And he really doesn't... Like, I really think in Brady's bones he doesn't want Mendoza to feel in any way that he's entitled to this job.
42:25And as soon as Kirk stumbles, he's going to get it.
42:28Like, he's like, you have to beat Kirk. And we'll see how that happens.
42:32But we'll see. And again, Kirk Cousins could pull a calf in week two and Mendoza's plays the entire year.
42:38Like, that's also possible. Also, I do think Fernando Mendoza's mentality is kind of perfect for like this setup.
42:43Like, you know what I mean? There are certain types of guys who probably waltz in and are like, what the fuck?
42:50I'm not starting. I'm the number one overall pick.
42:52Like, Mendoza, I feel like actually understands the process and is willing to go through it.
42:57Unlike McCarthy, who kind of... JJ McCarthy, who kind of fake understood it.
43:01So we'll see what happens there. And again, for fantasy, I think it just...
43:05And again, I don't think you even have to agree with me.
43:08I think that if you agree with what I'm saying, I would take Brock Bowers.
43:12And if you guys... If you're kind of like, you think I'm an idiot, then stay away from him.
43:18I think that's really the answer to me. The next play...
43:21Speaking of quarterbacks who change teams. So Tua went from Miami.
43:24I'm an uncle, so I can't pronounce the name anymore.
43:27But Tua went from Miami. So now he's at Atlanta.
43:30Which again, is a new situation. Because Matt Ryan is now...
43:33Went from CBS to running the Falcons. And then Russell Wilson's going to replace Matt Ryan in CBS.
43:38But Matt Ryan... The reason I bring that up is like not the guy who drafted Michael Penix Jr.
43:44So now there's a competition between Michael Penix Jr.
43:46Coming off a... Surgery to repair an ACL. For the third time.
43:50And Tua, who was previously kind of known as the most fragile quarterback.
43:54And you have a fragile quarterback off in Atlanta between two quarterbacks who...
43:57DK, I feel like stylistically have almost... At least when you compare passing charts and watch them, almost nothing in common.
44:03They're both left-handed though. That's the irony of them being left-handed.
44:06Is that's the only thing that they place... The only similarity they have.
44:10Same. Yeah. This is such a fascinating team too.
44:13I kind of keep forgetting that Kevin Stefanski is the Falcons coach now.
44:17You know, a well-respected two-time coach of the year.
44:19And going in there, trying to read the tea leaves of what he would prefer.
44:23I think maybe the more experienced guy in Tua.
44:26But again, they have a lot riding on Penix being the guy.
44:29They obviously picked him in the top 10. So, I don't know.
44:33It's one of those interesting scenarios where I could see it go either way.
44:37I really... If I had to pick right now, I think maybe it's Penix starting.
44:41But it wouldn't be that surprising to me if Tua actually ends up the starter and plays for like half the year.
44:48And letting Penix kind of get fully, fully healthy.
44:50Well, the thing with Tua to me is like DK.
44:53How much do you think Tua's success? Yes. How much of the pie do you give to Mike McDaniel calling plays and Tyree Kill and Jalen Waddle?
45:01And the combination of that environment versus like Tua's good.
45:0470% environment or whatever. Like, you know what I mean?
45:07Like, I think Tua's accurate. He can get rid of the ball quickly.
45:10He's decisive as a passer for the most part.
45:13And I think those are some traits you can work with.
45:16But I don't think physically... I think he's really low on the list in terms of just physical traits, his ability to throw.
45:23Like, Craig, you've talked about this for years. Like, every one of his deep balls is like fielding a punt.
45:28Fielding punts! They have to come back for it.
45:31The back of the jersey faces the end zone when they catch Tua back.
45:35Yeah, he just does not have the physical talent that...
45:38I mean, he dislocated his hip in college. He had a massive, massive injury.
45:42I think you can obviously point to that in terms of he just doesn't have the juice on the football that you want.
45:49And he can't move. He can't throw on the move.
45:51So that really limits what you're doing in the offense.
45:54So I think you have to design an offense that gets the ball out quickly.
45:59And that's exactly what Mike McDaniel did. Now, if you look at the freaking skill group with the Falcons, it's pretty freaking good.
46:05Between Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and Bijan Robinson. So there's things that they can do here.
46:10But I don't think Tua's very good. And I think they're behooved to try and develop Michael Penix still.
46:15Tua, I agree with every... I co-sign everything DK is saying.
46:18Tua, and this is Mike McDaniel's words, not mine.
46:21Tua is a point guard. Now, my words are Tua is a short point guard who can't create his own shot.
46:27He's really limited. He's a limited player. Yeah. But he is able to run the offense and get through things quickly.
46:33Now, some people might go through the tape and say sometimes he's actually going...
46:37He's kind of like not the different than someone who shows the play on Madden before you snap the ball and decide where you're going.
46:44He knows where he's going. Yeah, sometimes you throw it anyway.
46:47And you're like, oh. But the whole thing is he makes decisions quickly.
46:51I will say this. I think if there is a sin, I think we and most people in fantasy football telling you
46:58who to take before the season make is you kind of forget the lived experience of the week-to-week changes every week.
47:04And when I look at Atlanta, when Tua... And I think Tua and Penix will both play this season.
47:09Who knows in what order? Tua is playing. When Tua is playing, I think Bijan Robinson will absolutely be the number one
47:15running back in fantasy football solely because of all the dump-offs.
47:19The same way Devon Achan was like the best...
47:21You know, was top two in targets and yards.
47:24Like 80 catches. Yeah. Yeah. The amount of screens and dump-offs that Bijan Robinson will get when Tua is playing is unbelievable.
47:30But when Penix is playing, Drake London was like up there with Puka Nakua in all these receiving categories because Penix is
47:36pushing the ball downfield, giving himself chances, giving Drake London shots.
47:40And then Drake London had a PCL injury, which is knee stability, right around the time that Penix was replaced by Kirk Cousins.
47:46But I think there's a reason that when Kirk Cousins came in, Kyle Pitts was just like the top tight end, the best stretch of his entire career.
47:54Because Kirk Cousins is closer to Tua at this point where he's getting the ball out processing.
47:59And so I think there's going to be tremendous whiplash between the quarterbacks.
48:03When Penix is playing, Drake London's a top six receiver.
48:06But when Tua is playing, I think it's going to be much more Kyle Pitts and Bijan.
48:11And we'll have to see how they end up dividing the play time.
48:14There's a lot of Raiders vibes here in terms of...
48:17I think Tua probably right now fits the offense.
48:20At least we picture Stefanski wanting to run where it's like run the ball, play action, play from under center, things like that.
48:26And maybe that's what will end up happening is Tua will be the starter just because he can run that offense more
48:33effectively and won't have to be developed quite as much.
48:36But then late in the season, you see Penix take over.
48:39I don't know. It does feel like similar vibes where veteran versus young guy and the coach going with the guy that
48:45can run his offense a little bit. Well, young guy...
48:48Michael Penix's problem is that he's only played 14 games, 12 starts.
48:51So he's a young player in terms of experience.
48:54And then also, I mean, how many quarterbacks left have had three ACL surgeries?
48:58Yeah. It's a weird mix. The whiplash, the literal difference in velocity that the football will be thrown with between Tua and Penix in practice.
49:05It's like a donut on the bat versus taking it off.
49:08The ball is going to be hitting people in the face.
49:12They're going to be like, whoa! You know, there is something to that though.
49:16It is a real thing with the velocity difference.
49:18We always joke, but how often do we see a backup quarterback come in and then the fourth receiver on the team
49:24leads the team in receiving the next week because they've actually been practicing together all year?
49:29Yeah, yeah. It is a thing of knowing the ball.
49:32When the ball's getting there, it's really a half step or a step.
49:36It's like being in the right place. Have you ever played catch with somebody who was a quarterback in college or maybe
49:42even high school versus just your buddy? It sucks.
49:45It is such a difference in the velocity. It hurts your hands.
49:48You almost have to get your head out of the way as the ball's coming at you.
49:53I do feel like there's a little bit of that with Tua and Penix.
49:57Throwing slants or an out or something like that, very different.
50:00I don't know. I'm nervous about the Falcons this year.
50:03I feel like every year the Falcons have the...
50:06It's like a car with the coolest tires and they got a spoiler on the back and there's a cool decal and nobody can fucking drive it.
50:13I do feel that way. It's two very different drivers.
50:16Speaking of the Miami diaspora spreading around the league, so then Tua leaves Miami and then DK Malik Willis leaves from the
50:23Packers back up to Jordan Love last year to sign in Miami.
50:26Obviously, so Jeff Halfley, who is the defensive coordinator of the Green Bay, takes the Miami job and then also an executive...
50:32Was it John? Not Eric. John Eric Adams. John Eric Sullivan.
50:35John Eric Sullivan. I'm combining Eric Adams. John Eric Sullivan leaves from the Packers front office to be the Miami GM.
50:42So it's like two Packers guys leave, bring Malik Willis with them.
50:45And no one's quite sure the ratio of it's because they believe in Malik Willis versus they're like, this is a great
50:51way to lose with a very nice, lovely young man in Malik Willis.
50:55And then he'll be our Patsy as we get the number one pick.
50:59Deacon, do you think Malik Willis is good or do you think he's the fall guy?
51:03God. Somewhere in the middle, not to be a total fence sitter.
51:07I think he... I think... I don't feel strongly that he's going to develop into a top-tier quarterback just based on the situation that he's falling into.
51:15However, when you look at the things that he did in Green Bay, in the Green Bay system, I'm like, damn, this guy's...
51:21He's actually performing really well, especially relative to expectations.
51:24I mean, if you look at the games he started and through...
51:27And or came in as a backup and threw more than 10 passes, he averaged 11 yards per attempt.
51:3352% success rate. He was running all over the place.
51:36He was actually hard to defend. It was an extremely small sample.
51:39And it was in the LeFleur system. So who the fuck knows what he's going to be now?
51:44I think it's also very funny, the stark and dramatic difference between Green Bay and Miami, like as cities...
51:50Oh my God. Like, it's Green Bay South now, Packers South in Miami is just like the funniest change.
51:55It couldn't be more different. They're the most different places in any professional sports in America, right?
52:00Green Bay is the smallest city that has a pro team.
52:03So... The stadium's in a neighborhood in the middle of Wisconsin.
52:06That's just wild. So I think Willis is going to be...
52:09He is this year, from a fantasy point of view, he's this year's Justin Fields, but with like a couple pluses next to his name.
52:17I think he's a better passer. I think he's already proven to be a better passer, even in the small sample that
52:23we've seen, than Justin Fields ever was. He's just...
52:26Fields was just late on everything. I think Willis at least has shown us that he can, in a very well-designed system, execute it.
52:32And I think... So I saw this stat from Jared Smola.
52:36In Willis' three starts with the Titans, his pass rate was 36%.
52:39And his three starts with the Packers, it was 37%.
52:42So they're going to run the fuck out of the ball.
52:45They kept Devon Achan. So he's going to be at least getting the football a lot.
52:50Their receiver core is absolutely a year in flux.
52:52Don't expect much from the passing game at all.
52:55But obviously, from a fantasy point of view, Willis could go off because he's going to be running the ball a lot.
53:01There's going to be a lot of design runs and a lot of scrambling.
53:05Because this receiver core... I mean, the receiver core is laughable.
53:08Jalen Tolbert, Tutu Atwell, and Malik Washington are the three presumptive starters.
53:12Then you have three rookies in Chris Bell, Caleb Douglas, and Kevin Coleman kind of developing behind those guys.
53:17So this is going to be a lot of running.
53:20A lot of probably low-scoring games because they're just running the football.
53:24I think Willis and Achan are the only guys in this office.
53:27It's weird. I feel like we have to talk about the Dolphins as a real team before we talk about them in fantasy because it feels disingenuous otherwise.
53:35I feel like the worst two teams in football this year by a lot will be the Dolphins and the Cardinals.
53:41They have two of the hardest schedules in the NFL per Warren Sharp.
53:45I mean, the Dolphins, if you just look at their schedule, it's kind of hilarious.
53:49They're really not trying. The receiving core they've put around is like one of the worst groups I've ever seen.
53:55But I really do think that they're trying. They're actually tanking.
53:58And I don't even feel bad saying that because Stephen Ross, I mean, Brian Flores has put in legal documents that he
54:05says Stephen Ross offered him money to tank. You know what I mean?
54:08I do think the Dolphins are trying to lose, but Malik Willis as a player, I think has a lot of adjectives that don't go together.
54:16The, I mean, coming out of college, he's a third round pick where there was tremendous questions about his ability to process
54:22NFL, you know, offenses and stuff just because of the system he ran.
54:26And now after spending two years in Tennessee and two years in Green Bay, I think he's, I think he's very disciplined with the football, Malik Willis.
54:34Like I think that he protects the ball and I actually think that Matt LaFleur really liked the way he ran the
54:40ball or he ran the offense in Green Bay.
54:42Malik Willis is not that big. He's only, I mean, he's only six one.
54:46And yet I think he's the fastest quarterback in the NFL.
54:50I think at this point, with Lamar's, the injuries Lamar Jackson's picked up.
54:53I think Malik Willis is actually faster than Lamar Jackson, maybe not as agile.
54:57And then Malik Willis also has an absolute cannon.
55:00Like he can throw the ball. Now to you, I think you're a hundred percent right that he's this year's Justin Fields.
55:06He's not as big. Justin Fields is like kind of like a line, like could be a defensive player.
55:12He's so big and fast, but Malik Willis, I think I say much, what he lacks in height.
55:17He is a much better sense of like how to run an offense in a way that Justin Fields just really was
55:23never able to like process the ball, looping, throwing motion.
55:26I just late. I want to be in Malik Willis, but for fantasy purposes, this is such a bad team that I
55:32do wonder if he's, do you remember Blake Bortles like eight years ago when the Jaguars would be losing every game and
55:39then Blake Bortles would kind of pick up like 30 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.
55:45I feel like that's what Malik Willis will be is that he has seven points at halftime.
55:4912 times a game. Yes. And it's like, they're going to be down 20 points and the defense will be in prevent.
55:56And I kind of think Malik Willis is going to average like 30 rushing yards and a half a touchdown every game in the fourth quarter.
56:03Obviously you can't project that, but I do wonder if that's the kind of season this is going to be because the
56:10Dolphins might be that bad, but it's hard to like go into a season and be like, you should bet on that.
56:16Bet on this person because the team will be so bad.
56:19Yeah. I, I don't think I'm going to be there this year on, on Malik Willis.
56:24I mean, like, look, this guy has started three games.
56:27It's crazy. He has started three games and I do feel like there is a big difference in Matt LaFleur game planning
56:33specifically to make it work with Malik Willis versus he's just starting 17 games on a terrible team.
56:38I, I, sure. With a tough schedule. If you want to try to be like Justin Fields on the jets, there were
56:44some games where he would run for 50 yards and a touchdown and he would eat 20 fantasy points.
56:50Like you, if you want to rely on that, be my guest.
56:53But I, I, I like this team is tanking and they brought in Malik Willis because they brought in Malik Willis.
56:59You know what I mean? I feel bad for him.
57:02No, I think he's like Ted Lasso. He's the nicest guy ever.
57:06He's the guy. Remember he was giving his combine clothes to a homeless person in Indianapolis.
57:10Yeah. He's like the nice, it's like Ted Lasso.
57:13He's a, he's a very nice person, lovable. And he's, he's a fall guy.
57:17They're trying to lose. Truly gifted runner. But I'm just like, I don't know.
57:21I think the question is fantasy. It's like, if you're in a league with 12 teams and you're start one quarterback, I
57:27don't think Malik Willis is going to be one of the starting quarterbacks on your team.
57:32Super flex. I do think there's a chance he's the number two guy and you hope that he runs for 900 yards this year.
57:39But I was like, I do not think he's a top 15 quarterback.
57:42It's weird because Malik Willis to me is a good, in theory would be a really good pairing.
57:48Like if you drafted like Joe Burrow or, you know, a great pocket passing quarterback and you're like, Oh, I would love
57:54to have a backup quarterback with rushing upside. Malik Willis would be great.
57:58But the problem is he's fast enough in a rusher enough that you're not going to be able to get a great
58:04discount on him, but you'd so much rather pick a quarterback earlier and get like Jaden Daniels than stake your season to Malik Willis.
58:11To your point, Malik Willis has thrown for more than 200 yards in a game twice.
58:16He's thrown for more than 140 yards in a game twice.
58:19It's just not. Yeah. Well, look in his three starts, here's his rushing totals.
58:23Six carries 41 yards, six carries 73 yards at a touchdown, nine carries 60 yards and two touchdowns.
58:28Like that's, that is legitimately sustainable from a fantasy perspective.
58:31He can do that. But again, I like one of them was week 17 against Baltimore.
58:35It's like he lost two of these three games.
58:38They're not scoring a lot of points. And I'm just like this, the dolphins are, are actively bad and the Packers are actively good.
58:45So I don't know. He's just, I think he's like a, you know, an 11th or 12th round upside pick.
58:51And he's the kind of guy that maybe you cut.
58:53I know it's a, it's a weird player. Well, he's, I don't know what to do with him.
58:59But speaking of people, I don't know what to do with.
59:02Seriously. I actually don't know what to do with this guy.
59:05So DK, I'm excited. I can make it simple for you.
59:08Don't draft him. Jalen Waddle is now on the Broncos for a first round pick.
59:12DK, go ahead. I mean, maybe this, maybe this is the year.
59:16it will be different because I think obviously with the shot, this is Jalen Waddle, not Malik Willis.
59:21Now Jalen Waddle traded for a first round pick to the Denver Broncos.
59:25Obviously this is a good system, an up and coming and still ascending quarterback and Bo Nix, the Broncos, I will say
59:31fourth and pass attempts per game last year. So there is, this is a situation theoretically where Waddle could have a career
59:37year and be the best that we've ever seen.
59:40But it is still a question of how much to Sean Payton wanting to rotate his guys is, is, is Waddle going
59:46to be an 80 plus snap type of player or is he going to be one of like, if you look at
59:53last year's team Sutton, Cortland Sutton had 80 something, 5% of the snaps.
59:56And then the next closest was 58% of snaps.
59:59It was a rotation behind that. Waddle is obviously a different level talent wise.
60:03Yeah. You could argue that's because no one was good enough to earn 80% of the snaps.
60:08So maybe this is the year where it's Sutton and Waddle and everybody else kind of rotates.
60:13And then Waddle, I think we'll have a lot more value.
60:16Um, then maybe I'm expecting, but again, it is, it's just kind of been my bit that I don't really want to
60:22bet on, you know, the whims of Sean Payton, how he decides to rotate his guys, how he decides to, um, design an offense weekend and week out.
60:30What you, and I think it's more of a thing with the running backs this year than it is with receivers, because
60:37I do think very likely it's going to be Sutton and Waddle and everybody else.
60:41What do you think the sentiment is going to be around Waddle and fantasy drafts?
60:45Is it going to be like a, Ooh, Jalen Waddle, I, that guy's fast and good.
60:50And now he's on the Broncos with Bo Nix, or is it going to be Jalen Waddle has been irrelevant in fantasy for three years.
60:57And I've had a Broncos wide receiver before. So I'm good.
61:00I think it depends on if you've had Jalen Waddle, because I think like, I mean, Craig, I, the last just year
61:07or two, I think Waddle has been the player we've hated the most, even more than Kyle Pitts.
61:12Yeah. We, I mean, we invented the Waddle model because of the feeling of seeing a projection every week that looks good, that he never hits.
61:19And that is the Jalen Waddle. He's projected for 12.
61:22He scores seven every week. A negative. And then Sean Payton for DK is, I don't think other than maybe Arthur Smith,
61:28there's any coach that has been more frustrated at DK in the entire time we've been doing this than Sean Payton.
61:34And my question is, is this the, a classic, you know, two negatives, you know, but if you multiply, it is a positive.
61:41And so it is, I don't think I have to explain how Sean Payton could fuck us and just like make it indecipherable where it's Jalen Waddle.
61:49You play in week one, he gets no targets.
61:51And then week two, he gets 40 points. And then you play him, he gets zero and it steps.
61:57Snap. That seems like super hot possible. My fear is that we hate Jalen Waddle.
62:01We hate Sean Payton. We write him off. We're like, don't draft him.
62:05Don't have toxic people in your life. And then it's like, Oh yeah, he's going to be like faster.
62:10Michael Thomas and Jalen Waddle will just like lead the league in targets and yards and touchdowns.
62:15And we just miss because here's my fear. The range that Jalen Waddle is going in.
62:20Do you feel like any of these other players could lead the league in anything?
62:24It's like Garrett Wilson, Luther Burden. I'm just talking about the receivers, Luther Burden, Mike Evans, Terry McLaurin, Jalen Waddle, Devante Adams, Jameson Williams.
62:31I, you know, in a world like, I feel like, unless you want to be like, okay, Devante Adams could lead the league in touchdowns for Mike Evans.
62:39Sure. But is any of these people actually a candidate to lead the NFL in receiving yards?
62:44Like no fucking way. And then you look at Jalen Waddle, you're like, yeah, it wouldn't be weird.
62:49I simultaneously think Waddle is a post type sleeper and I won't be touching him.
62:54Just mainly because of stubbornness. He's 27. Yeah. I think he's probably, I think he's more likely to have over perform over expectation this year than not.
63:01I think, I think right now I'm seeing his average draft positions like the wide receiver 24.
63:06Like I think he'll be 47th pick. So yeah, it's like a, you know, he's like a middle fourth round pick.
63:12He's going behind Mike Evans, which. Yeah. I think that it's more likely that he is, he is not a very highly sought after pick and fantasy.
63:20Like, I don't think there are going to be many people reaching for Jalen Waddle.
63:24I think you will be likely to just wait and get him.
63:28And he ends up being a decent pick more so than like, people think he's some sexy.
63:33I, I think he's a classic. There's going to be camp hype guy.
63:36We'll see. And again, I'm curious the role of Sean Payton envisions for him.
63:40And I want to dive more into that, but my, this is like the cold remove of the, once you remove the
63:47emotions from the season, I'm like, he is clearly the best highest upside player you could draft in this range.
63:53I don't think it's really close. And also, it's also the one that can make you feel stupid, but like, I don't know.
63:59What are the odds? The idea of taking Garrett Wilson before Waddle.
64:03I, I, I don't know. The other thing that, that I'm going to be using to protect myself in this whole thing,
64:09because of my longstanding Sean Payton, like bit slash hatred is Davis web is now the OC.
64:14It's not even Sean Payton calling plays. So theoretically, Davis web has a different idea of how to rotate players and how
64:20to design the offense and how to, and who he's going to go to weekend and week out.
64:25You know, I think there is questions like we've, we've said how long Davis web lasts as the play caller, hopefully more than a few weeks.
64:33Um, but I do think it is notable that Sean Payton will not be calling plays at least theoretically early in the
64:39year until probably week three, but yeah, right. Until he's like, okay, fuck this.
64:43Yeah. So I, yeah. Well, mid fourth run pick.
64:46I think at that point, I don't think he'll settle there.
64:49I think he'll move up. Uh, the next guy here that I want to talk about change needs, Kyler Murray, who is
64:55now on the Minnesota Viking Cardinals cut Kyler Murray and then Minnesota got him for like, we basically minimum deal.
65:01It's pretty similar to like the Russell Wilson thing.
65:04Yeah. It feels like an absolute coup. And I think Minnesota is immediately back in the playoff.
65:08It's like a, the Seahawks and Rams are the best teams in the NFC.
65:12And I think Minnesota now could be right there competing to be the third best team in the conference.
65:18Oh, I think, I mean, I, it could be hard for them to be the third best team in their division, but
65:24I agree with you that there'll be much better, but I do think I'm leaning on being a fan of this.
65:30And I think I'm going to be talking myself into Kyler Murray.
65:34Yeah. He's making 1 million bucks. He's from everything you read is extremely excited.
65:38And it appears motivated to like turn this ship around.
65:41And he's 29 years old. He played five games last year.
65:44Then he had a foot injury, missed the whole season.
65:47There was, you know, talk of a soft benching.
65:49Could he have come back? They were terrible. They lost like a million straight games.
65:54The couple of things struck me when looking into this, Kyler Murray has basically never not been a top 12 fantasy quarterback
66:00or scored less than like 17 fantasy points a game.
66:03I removed this season. He came back from the ACL where he did not look like himself.
66:08Now looking at the Vikings with Kevin O'Connell, basically other than JJ McCarthy, Kevin O'Connell has never not had a top 12
66:14fantasy quarterback that he has coached or has a guy that scored less than 17 fantasy points per game.
66:19So if you combine those two things, you're basically saying, I think Kyler Murray's, Kyler Murray's floor is a top 12 quarterback right now.
66:26He's going, he's like a fringe top 20, I would say in drafts.
66:30And he's stepping into a team with Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and they brought in Juwan Jennings, which is another new guy
66:36in a new team, which I kind of forgot about.
66:39I forgot about that too. Yeah. Yes. So look, I, I, the system in Minnesota seems very complicated and it's very tough,
66:46but looking at what Darnold did, looking at what Kirk did in the year before he went down with his Achilles injury,
66:52like Kirk was the QB six in the year he went down with his Achilles and Darnold was a top 10 quarterback.
66:58And so Kyler Murray's 29. I, I think you saw a little bit in the five games last year with like his
67:05legs seemed to come back a little bit. I still think there's some rushing potential with them.
67:09I don't know. I kind of think this is like, there's obviously a lot of risk involved here, but like from where
67:16you can get them, this is like kind of a cheap shot of the guy, maybe being like a top 10 quarterback on a good offense playing indoors.
67:24I don't know. I totally agree. I think the funny thing about quarterback this year.
67:28So let's just say you're the last person to take a quarterback in a 12 team league.
67:33So you're the 12th quarterback off the board. One of these people will fall to you.
67:38Trevor Lawrence, Jalen hurts, Justin Herbert, Jackson dart, Kyler Murray, Bo Nix, or reigning MVP, Matthew Stafford, or Dak Prescott.
67:43One of those people like, like, and that's 14.
67:46That would go to the fourth. Like you will have, you will get to pick between three of those people.
67:52And I think that to me is an argument for why maybe you should win a quarterback this year.
67:57Cause the idea that Kyler Murray could very reasonably be the last of the starting quarterbacks taken.
68:02And if he's not, you'll get to pick between like Dak Stafford or like Bo Nix or something.
68:07I think is pretty remarkable. And I totally agree.
68:10Craig, I think Kyler Murray's floor is to be where you draft him and it's all ceiling.
68:15Whereas a lot of the guys like can dip low, but I, I, I think Kyler Murray, frankly, is probably the most
68:21underrated player in the NFL at this point, because Kyler, I think at this point people have forgotten how talented he is
68:27and how incredible he is in the body language and the memes being in Arizona is a wasteland football at wise.
68:33And then just the video game, the call of duty dropping the memes toward the end of the season.
68:39I think people have forgotten how fucking talented Kyler Murray is.
68:42I also think it's funny. This is just one thing to take into account, but the way that Justin Jefferson talks about Kyler Murray is very funny.
68:50If you read between the lines, especially he's like, he just knows how to put touch on the ball.
68:55And it's just such a, such a shot across the bow of the other quarterback who's there right now.
69:01But yeah, I think, I think Justin Jefferson is extremely excited about this and, you know, for lack of a better word,
69:07it's like, he's like a real quarterback right now.
69:10Cause Justin, JJ McCarthy is still, I think developing.
69:12I don't know if he's going to be a starter ever in the league at this point, but like Kyler Murray has
69:19multiple years, starting multiple years of production in terms of running an offense that can score point.
69:23So, um, I think we are turned off obviously by the personality and the, it's a bad taste in your mouth.
69:29I get it. Kyler Murray has been like, the last three years have been very tricky with him in fantasy.
69:35So, and, and I will say, Kyler, the one thing that's weird is that mini camp and OTAs, it's like Murray and McCarthy are splitting reps.
69:43And I feel like you, you read what Darnold has said about playing in Minnesota and how hard it was and how
69:49it took him every minute of the off season to like learn the system.
69:53Um, I, I'm very curious to see when training camp comes, if they just allow Kyler to take all the reps or how long they split that.
70:01Cause I do think that plays a factor and that will hurt him if he's splitting first team reps all August.
70:07So I, I get what you're saying. I mean, Darnold had to beat up Daniel Jones though, too.
70:12So, I mean, I, I get what you, I think you're right.
70:15I think, I do think Kyler will get more reps as August comes.
70:19Can I ask you guys a question? Is the definitive fantasy strategy that you're pretty easy?
70:24You draft Kyler Murray and then you trade him before November 26, which is when GTA six comes out.
70:29Like imagine Kyler loves call today. Imagine GTA six comes out and then Kyler, like you got it.
70:34You got just, you know, pump and dump scheme.
70:37The pump and dump. If he loves video games so much, he should do the VR Jane Daniels.
70:42Maybe that's kind of the perfect, combination. That could, maybe it's like, Hey, what if we just make football a video game for you?
70:49Arizona's. Oh, do you think, do you think there's a Madden?
70:52Ender's game. He doesn't even know he's playing football.
70:55Exactly. Just call it GTA, but it's, but it's, all the guys are on the football field though.
71:00Hey, Kyler, GTA came out. There's also, this is kind of his last shot, right?
71:04Like he's got to understand. No, there's no future after this.
71:08If he fucks it up again, I don't think that's true.
71:11You don't think that he, if he, if he can't succeed in, in Minnesota, do you think he's done?
71:16Well, what is, what does that mean? As a starter?
71:19Compete, getting to be handed starter or competing to be a starter?
71:22If it's a disaster, I don't think he's locked into start in 2027 on the team.
71:27I think it's now or never for him. So there's an urgency maybe that there was.
71:32Now we're never. Is it? I, I, I'm, maybe I'm being too hard on your, just now we're never in a world
71:38where Sam Darnold won a Superbowl after being a backup in the Niners.
71:42Like, and I think people would have said what you're saying now about Darnold three years ago and at world where Daniel
71:48Jones is tearing his Achilles and then being still getting 50 million a year to be a starter.
71:53I, I, I wouldn't say now was like now or never for Kyler.
71:57I would say. It's so crazy. What, what going to the Niners does?
72:01Like the way Darnold speaks about his, his time in San Francisco and how it changed his brain.
72:06Like if I, I would start to, if I were like a different GM and I, I would start to send backup
72:12quarterbacks who I think have potential to the Niners.
72:15I would like negotiate a deal where it's like, you can, I will, they'll pay for you to tutor this backup quarterback
72:21for a year and then send him back. That exists.
72:24You know what it is? It's that's how loans work in European soccer is you loan them to a lesser team and
72:30they're like, he won't play so much here, but he's playing time.
72:34Will you like this? He's going to get reps there.
72:37That really is what they should do. They should loan quarterbacks to Kyle Shannon.
72:41And then you could recall them. I mean, the thing I think about is Mac Jones who was good last year when
72:47Brock Purdy was hurt and is back again in San Francisco.
72:50I'm like two years. We've seen him look good.
72:53Like Mac Jones. I would absolutely take a gamble on Mac Jones in 2027.
72:57Mac Jones. I cannot get over the video of him at the tight end university thing.
73:01He's just like, he looked like he was high.
73:04Talk about dad bod. He's having the best time.
73:07He's having the time of his life. So are we all doing Kyler, at least until GTA six comes out?
73:12Yeah. Like, this experiment, which who knows? Maybe it'll be Kyler.
73:15There's an element of Kyle pits with Kyler Murray, where I'm like, God damn it.
73:20Do I have to be in on this guy again?
73:23I feel like it's just so annoying to do it, but yeah, I'm kind of, I just believe in the motivation of it all.
73:30I do think matters. It's like saying like moment, like when people say momentum in sports doesn't exist.
73:35I do feel like the motivation for Kyler is, is important this year.
73:38This episode is brought to you by Netflix. The T-Mobile home run derby is right around the corner.
73:44Might be one of the best showcases of pure power and all sports, baseball's biggest sluggers, along with some legendary announcers, Pujols, Rizzo, Bonds, Sabathia, Al Duncan.
73:51Yeah. Hunter Pence, Matt Faskersian, a whole bunch of people.
73:54And it's the one night where you don't swing to make contact.
73:58You swing to make history. I'm interested to see what Bond says about this actually.
74:02Anyway, it is all live from Citizens Bank Park in Philly.
74:05Watch the T-Mobile home run derby live on Netflix this Monday, July 13th at 8 p.m.
74:10Eastern, 5 p.m. Pacific. And we're live on match day as Doug reaches for a Buffalo wing.
74:15He's got it. Oh, and he's gone for a can of Pepsi too.
74:18What a finish. There's no doubt about it. It just tastes better.
74:22Match days deserve Pepsi. The next guy here, the running back formerly known as Travis Etienne, who is now Travis Etienne for the New Orleans Saints.
74:29He went from Jacksonville to New Orleans, signed for $12 million a year.
74:33I think the Saints are going to be pretty good, man.
74:36I kind of, the more I look at it, I think the Saints are going to win this division.
74:42And I, I was probably more wrong about Tyler Shuck than anyone in the draft last year.
74:47I kind of like pretty, I was very dismissive, frankly, of Tyler Shuck being a 26 year old rookie who had like four season ending injuries.
74:54And I should have doubled down. I watched like a 20 minute highlight of him on YouTube last year in the draft cycle.
75:01And I remember being like, I think my take this year is going to be that Tyler Shuck is good.
75:06And then I bailed like a coward, but he does look pretty good.
75:10He looked good. You saw the play where he was like, ah, don't hit me.
75:15All right. Well, you know what? Turned out he learned.
75:17He was a lot like Derek Carr, but it turned out he learned to get the ball out out of necessity.
75:23Necessity is the mother's invention. And that motherfucker needed to stop getting hit.
75:27Also sneaky, sneaky, agile. I mean, when I saw the video that he couldn't, that he, Alvin Kamara is like, look, you
75:34know, when you're young, you learn these things, you know, left and right.
75:37He's motioning us left. I'm like, you got to use your left hand, not your right hand.
75:42He wants to go left. I'm like, motherfucker, like, God damn it.
75:46Like he's using his left hand to motion guys.
75:48But I guess we all learn, but anyway, I think Tyler Shuck's a good quarterback.
75:52I think he is. I, I, I guess this sounds like a backhanded compliment.
75:57The worst quarterback who I think absolutely deserves a shot to be like the franchise guy for a team.
76:02If that makes sense. Like he, he got into the, the life raft.
76:06Like he deserves to get a shot for multiple years as like the Saints future starter.
76:10Like he clearly is good enough to, to, to be a value.
76:14Like he looks great. And so I think the Saints are going in.
76:18Kellen Moore is the head coach. They signed David Edwards, which is an important guard that they need for the offensive line.
76:24And then they brought in Travis HN. It's going to take me a minute to get that right.
76:29And then they drafted Jordan Tyson. It was like, you know, the highest upside receiver in the draft at Arizona state.
76:35And all those things work together. Like David Edwards is a good offensive lineman that will make it easier to run and pass.
76:42Jordan Tyson's impact in the passing game with Olave will make it easier to run.
76:46Travis ATN's, Travis HN's abilities running back will make it easier to pass.
76:50Like all this is going to get better for the Saints.
76:53I have a lot of questions about them on defense, but for fantasy, like I think this is like an underrated team.
76:59And I actually, I think they're going to win the NFC South.
77:03And I think Travis, I think ETN is going to be like a really good running back.
77:08Well, and this, the Saints really made a run last year.
77:11I feel like there's, it's like a tale of two seasons looking at what the Saints did in 2025, where I feel
77:17like when you just think back to like, Oh yeah, Saints, of course they didn't make the playoffs.
77:22They weren't good. The Saints won five of their last six games.
77:26And Tyler Shuck, when you look at his last four games was like averaging 300 yards, passing a game was turning the
77:32ball over very infrequently and kind of looked like he had kind of flipped over to the other side here and had figured things out.
77:39And there, there was a moment there where it looked like the Saints could sneak into the playoffs the way they were playing.
77:46Granted their schedule wasn't that hard, but the Saints looked like a very different team in the second half of last year.
77:52And it could be, it could be good fantasy wise, you touched on this where the defense isn't that good.
77:58So the offense just has to run a ton of plays, has to score in, in shootout type games.
78:03So yeah, there's, there's a lot of untapped, I think fantasy potential here, obviously with, with Travis ETN or HN, the variable here.
78:10That's interesting is Alvin Kamara didn't retire. No. And showed in showed up for off season activities.
78:15And the Saints are like, what are you? Oh, you're still here.
78:18I don't know what to do with this guy.
78:21Now. I love Kamara. Yeah. So I don't know what's going on with that.
78:25How, how much he's going to play if any, uh, for this team.
78:29I don't think anyone knows. No, it's a bizarre situation.
78:31I don't think even the coaching staff knows what's going on with, with Alvin Kamara.
78:36So, uh, it'll be interesting to see how that develops over the next couple of months.
78:40I feel like Travis H Travis, HN. Sorry. It's just, it's going to be hard.
78:45I have never felt less confident in, in a, if I think this guy's good or not.
78:50I think the last year was like the best year of his, I thought I w I liked the way he was
78:56running last year for the Jags better than I've ever liked him.
78:59I think I saw more from him, uh, running North South.
79:03I was very impressed with Travis. Is that saying a lot?
79:06It's not like he was, you know, I mean, I like, he, he basically has a thousand yards and eight touchdowns every year.
79:12And so I'm like, I don't, I, I, I, when I watch him, I don't know if I'm like, this guy moves different.
79:19I don't know if I feel that way. Um, I think he's like a solid pass catcher, but I don't know if
79:25like, do you feel strongly enough to be like Travis HN is a guy I want to reach for this year?
79:31Um, only, well, it depends on the range right now.
79:34He's going around Rishi rice, which Lord knows what's going on there.
79:38Devante Smith, which is one of the more interesting people the whole off season.
79:42Now Devante Smith is number one in Philadelphia, Trey McBride for the Cardinals, Brees Hall, Chris Olave, and then Travis, which I
79:48think is representative that the two saints are next to each other.
79:51Then it's like Zay flowers, Kyron Williams. I think there's a big gap there.
79:55Like the fact that Travis HN is next to Zay flowers, I would take him 11 times out of 10 over Zay flowers.
80:02We all, I feel like Zay flowers. You have to remove him.
80:06Nobody wants to take Zay flowers. He doesn't count.
80:08Uh, next to Malik neighbors. I would take Travis HN over Malik neighbors.
80:12I hate to say, I feel the same way as you though.
80:15I think I hear what you're saying. Exactly. You can't quite put your finger on it.
80:20Is this guy good? I don't know. I don't know.
80:23He's going to produce bridge between the two numbers.
80:25Like the average NFL running back. Yeah. Yeah. I think Travis HN realistically to your point, Craig, I think what you're, you're
80:32nailing is he's the bridge between players that I've seen do it more than once.
80:36And guys that I haven't really seen do it at all.
80:39It's like the guys ahead of Travis HN are like Brock Bowers, Nico Collins, George Pickens, Rasheed Rice, Trey McBride, guys that
80:45at least were incredible for a full stretch. Uh, and then he's around like Brees Hall.
80:50And then it's like T Higgins, Malik neighbors, Javante Williams, Lade McConkie, Emeka Abuka, Tett McMillan, guys where I'm a little nervous
80:56might not be able to put it together. And it's, it's, I'm calling it right now.
81:01Travis HN is going to be a guy. Who will fall in most drafts.
81:05And I think he will be sitting there at the top of the like Yahoo ADP thing where it's like, it says
81:11he should have gone in the last round. And I think he's going to sit there and people aren't going to know what to do.
81:19Cause it's the saints. Yeah. Camara is still there.
81:21He's never really been amazing in fantasy, but he's been solid.
81:24And so I think there's just, I don't think there's going to be a lot of buzz around taking him.
81:30I mean, that is a perfect transition to someone exactly like that, which is David Montgomery, the running back for the now Houston Texans.
81:37He's the epitome of this exercise. Like maybe people who really follow the league probably remember that like Mike Evans was on the Niners.
81:44Everyone probably needs a reminder that David Montgomery is on the Texans.
81:47Now. Yeah. I think he's exactly what you're saying, Craig.
81:50He's an example of, he will fall two or three rounds.
81:53Cause people are like, Oh, I don't know. And I'm, I just, I think it's a perfect pick.
81:59Yeah. He's a perfect mix for the Texans though.
82:01I think as a real life trying to win a super bowl, like, yeah, the Texans wanted David Montgomery on their team.
82:07I have, I don't know. I don't know what to make of him, but what do you think DK?
82:13Yeah. I don't know what to make of him either.
82:16He was traded to the Texans, which for a few picks, which I kind of had forgotten.
82:21And, but yes, he, it's interesting because I think he has both simultaneously sort of like fallen off a little bit as
82:27the C, as the seasons have gone on. He was never a guy that was super reliant on speed, but, and his,
82:33his carry, his career, he had a career low in terms of rush attempts per game last year.
82:38So they basically were more or less phasing him out of the offense.
82:42Obviously when you have Jameer Gibbs kind of makes sense, you want the guy with the explosive play ability to have the football.
82:49Um, but I was looking at like his yards after contact yards after contact per rush, both pretty high.
82:54Still, he's still a guy that can break tackles.
82:57He has good vision. I think he's just a professional running back that can get yards that aren't there for you, which
83:03is exactly what the Texans need because they can't block.
83:06You know what I mean? Like David Montgomery is the perfect guy because he can break tackles.
83:11He can create on his own, even at 29.
83:14I still think he's, he has the ability to do that.
83:17Um, but yeah, I mean, if you look at the Texans run games over the last couple of years, it's just been abysmal.
83:23I mean, they can't block yards per yards per rush, uh, sorry, yards before contact per rush.
83:28They're always just kind of like at the bottom.
83:31They just get hit in the backfield every time.
83:33There's a lot of variables here that I don't know what to do with him because there's, you know, the whole CJ
83:40Stroud variable, which I don't know what to think of him, if he's good or if he's ascending, or if he's just
83:46going to be worse again this next year. Um, but I do think the Texans overall are a team that want to
83:52play ball control, run the football, um, and, and rely, and they're going to rely on him a lot.
83:58I think he's going to get a ton of touches in this offense, especially because you don't have a ton of competition.
84:04I mean, Woody marks, Juar Jordan, um, and no one else you've ever heard of on that team in terms of the running back position.
84:11So, um, it's going to be him and Woody marks.
84:14And I think Woody marks will play sort of like, you know, third down role and a backup role, but Montgomery is
84:21going to get the lion's share of the touches here.
84:23And we want touches in, in fantasy, even if it's not going to be super efficient.
84:28He's a closer. He's a closer for a team with the best defense in the, in the AFC.
84:33I think I'm going to be in on Montgomery.
84:36Just, I mean, he's not super expensive, obviously, but he's the, he's a perfect sort of RB two on your team.
84:42Yeah. I also just like love him as a player.
84:45Yeah. It's a bummer that he's not on Detroit.
84:47Like it was just so awesome in Detroit. I'm sad that he's gone.
84:51Sonic and knuckles thing. Yeah. It's yeah. It's funny that like I felt better about him as technically a backup on a good offense than I do.
84:59I think now is he's a starter. Well, cause the lion's score touchdowns about.
85:03I know. I don't know. I worry that he's going to be like a, gets a lot of touches, very little production
85:09guy on this team, but he's the epitome of better in real life than fantasy.
85:13And like maybe love fantasy relevance. But when you watch David Montgomery play, you're like, Oh, is this guy like the heart and soul of the offense?
85:21Like, yeah, he seems to be like the leader of the team, but in fantasy, you're kind of laid out a ceiling play.
85:28Yeah. The, I do love having him on my team though.
85:31Opposite of that, which is DJ Moore, who I think is much more of a fantasy player than a real life player.
85:37A DJ more. I mean, so the bear season basically ended because DJ Moore seemed to not really be trying as hard
85:44as he should have on a Caleb Williams scramble with the season on the line in an incredible game versus.
85:49Oh, so it's cool when AJ Brown doesn't try, but DJ Moore takes the playoff.
85:54You beat me. Same shit. I'm saying he's on a team now.
85:57And I'm like, guess what? He's going to be way better in fantasy than he is.
86:02I'm like, yeah, I think it's ironic that like now he's going to Buffalo where your main value is to really run out routes.
86:09But I think DJ Moore is going to be the guy.
86:12And I think that he needs to get his stats.
86:15I think a lot of receivers have basketball mentalities where they're like, there's only one ball.
86:19How am I getting my numbers? And like other positions are kind of trained to be more team oriented.
86:25And I think DJ Moore thrives. And what I'll say is when he's the definitive number one, he's the definitive number one in Buffalo.
86:32Like the, like he, he is like AJ Brown going to add the element of verticality and forcing teams to not just
86:38play man coverage because he can beat one-on-one most quarterbacks.
86:41And so I do think that he's going to get the ball a ton.
86:45And Buffalo, we'll see how much I think he will probably fix a lot of Buffalo's passing games issues in the regular season.
86:52I don't know about the playoffs. And I think DJ Moore will probably be a pretty good player for fantasy this year.
86:58I don't love him as your number one player when you're trying to win the Superbowl, but also I think Buffalo is that option.
87:05So they traded as Craig always mentions a second rounder, but really like the 16th pick in the draft for a DJ
87:11Moore, which doesn't sound as cool as a second rounder, a second rounder, a bunch of money.
87:16And then they're paying them a ton. You want to stat the, but when the, at the time that the bills made
87:22the trade for DJ Moore, the only team that had allocated more money to their wide receivers than Buffalo was the Bengals.
87:29No way. They are paying them a lot. 81 million guaranteed.
87:32Um, I think the, the DJ Moore and AJ Brown trades this year are the big, it's sort of a, a funny
87:38experiment based on like how much chemistry matters and how much receivers liking the quarterback matters.
87:43Because I think AJ Brown clearly fell out of love with Jalen hurts to the point where it was like resentment, you
87:49know, it's like a bad, it's like a marriage gone bad.
87:52And then with DJ Moore, I think he just always hated Caleb.
87:56Like I, there was always sort of this animosity there.
87:59I don't know what it was. And I do know what it was.
88:02It was because Caleb Williams would throw it over his head all the time.
88:06And maybe that was part of it. Um, but they clearly like just didn't mesh.
88:11They didn't like each other based on everything I saw on the field.
88:14Like the, the body language was horrific. Um, so if, if AJ Brown and Drake may become best buddies, that's great.
88:20If DJ Moore loves Josh Allen could be, you know, a career Renaissance for him late in the season or late in his career.
88:27So I don't know. I, I think I'd be willing to take a risk on DJ more, but this could go a lot of ways.
88:34It's kind of, it's AJ Brown light. Yeah. I think I'm, I think I'm going to be into DJ more because once
88:41again, I do not think he's going to be a sexy pick in drafts.
88:45Um, and he's the number one with Josh Allen.
88:47And I still think he's a good player. And did you guys see, he's already starting a good, a good PR tour.
88:54He, Buffalo, he like bought out a, like a merch store, all the bills, merch, he bought it all out and then gave it to fans.
89:01Oh, I saw that. Yeah. So he's doing these putting in the work on Coleman jerseys.
89:06That's the only thing left. They were probably on clearance.
89:09Yeah. Uh, he paid 1200 bucks, bought all the merch, gave it out to people.
89:13So, you know, he's, he's putting in the work off the field.
89:16He's putting in the work on the field. I like it.
89:20I think he'll be good. I think he'll be good.
89:22If he doesn't clearly just disdain Josh Allen, he'll be good.
89:26I think Ben Johnson also was sick of him.
89:28Ben Johnson from the jump didn't like, I remember when DJ Moore walked off the field, the first Caleb Williams bears here,
89:35like in the middle of a play in the middle of a scramble.
89:38And I think Ben Johnson saw that on the sideline.
89:41Moore did say he had a quote where they asked him like how, how things are going in Buffalo.
89:47And he said, everybody's been lovely. They're friendly. Like everybody gets along.
89:50So it's amazing to see. I think DJ Moore and Ben Johnson were a bad fit.
89:55It's amazing to see. All right, Craig, bring it home here with a trio of Steelers news.
90:00The Steelers bring in Michael Pittman from the Colts.
90:02You sign Rico Dattel at running back, but you let your beloved Kenneth Gainwell leave to Tampa.
90:07Kenneth Gainwell, a guy who the Steelers voted as the MVP of the team.
90:11Is that right? Yes. I think I missed that.
90:14Yes. He was voted the MVP of the team.
90:16Wow. My sweet child. I miss him. Why did we let him go?
90:20He's on the Bucks now. That sucks. How much did he get?
90:23Did he get a lot of money? He got like two years, 14 mil or something like that.
90:29Okay. It's like fringe starter good backup money, which is basically.
90:32It's hard to get paid when you're 27 and he's five foot nine.
90:35Well, he had 1500 yards last year. But I'm just saying, well, I didn't do it.
90:40The NFL did it. They don't care. The funny thing is that they gave Rico Dattel basically, the Steelers gave Rico Dattel
90:46very similar money, like a million or two less than Kenneth Gainwell.
90:50But I think this is a stylistic thing and they wanted, Rico Dattel was with Mike McCarthy in Dallas for four years.
90:56But I, so I guess we could start with them now.
90:59I mean, Rico Dattel, if people forgot, was kind of electric in 2025 on the Panthers.
91:04And he's 28 years old. He has had now back-to-back a thousand yard seasons.
91:08He ran for 200 yards in a game last year.
91:11He had back-to-back games with 200, 200 total all-purpose yards.
91:14You can't prove that. He led the league in rushing from week three to week nine.
91:18Yeah. He led the league in rushing. Who's that?
91:21Boy Rico. Every time he's gotten opportunities, he's been really good.
91:24He basically didn't play for the first two years of his career.
91:28And since then, like when he gets the ball, he's good.
91:31He doesn't really catch passes. I don't know if he can pass protect, but like when you hand him the football, Rico Dattel's good.
91:38And I do think he is a nice compliment to Jalen Warren.
91:41To Jalen Warren. And then, so it's like, do I think Rico Dattel is going to be like a fantasy contributing player?
91:47Like, I think there's a chance he could be a guy who's like a solid flex player for you.
91:53And then they bring in, they traded for Michael Pittman for basically nothing.
91:57And then they gave him, they extended him. He's 28 years old.
92:00They basically chose, the Colts basically chose Alec Pierce over him and gave Alec Pierce a huge deal.
92:05Michael Pittman's had some back issues. Remember he had that fractured back two years ago and people thought he was going to
92:12go on IR and then he just played every game that season.
92:15It's so funny how people punish guys for that.
92:18I'm just going to play. Then they scroll back and they're like, oh, did he do too many yards that year?
92:24Meanwhile, he's playing through a back injury that most people would like, couldn't walk.
92:28Nevermind playing an NFL game. It was, it was pain tolerance and he had to get imaging scans every few weeks to
92:34make sure that his back fracture hadn't gotten worse.
92:37Jesus. I think Pittman is a better real life thing for the Steelers than fantasy.
92:41I think he compliments what like DK Metcalf can now like run down the field and do the things DK Metcalf, doesn't
92:47Pittman can be your like in breakers, out breakers, big body possession, good hands, like very solid professional wide receiver that the
92:54Steelers did not have behind DK Metcalf, like Calvin Austin and Ben Skoranek and Roman Wilson, like was not it.
92:59And now having Michael Pittman like, and bringing in Jeremy Bernard rounds out the team a lot better.
93:04I still think they could probably use another more, like another receiver.
93:08I think they could go get like digs, but Mike McCarthy, the Packers and Aaron Rogers all have always just wanted giant, receivers.
93:15I think for a long time, I mean, even just going back to, I mean, Alan Lazard, right.
93:20It's like basically like the biggest receiver in the NFL for like, I mean, he's like, I think he's six, six and Rogers brought him everywhere.
93:27He ever wanted to go. You know what I mean?
93:30And I think that Michael Pittman is halfway between two thirds of the way from Alan Lazard.
93:35Who's like a figurehead. And then what Michael Pittman was.
93:38And I don't think he's as good as Mike.
93:40We thought Michael Pittman would be. Yeah, but he also just kind of fits with, I totally agree with the real life is fantasy thing.
93:48I got to tell you, I, what do you think DK?
93:51I think the Steelers, I don't want any of these players.
93:54I don't want anything to do with the Pittsburgh Steelers for fantasy.
93:57I don't want to, I don't want to touch.
94:00It does make it very difficult because the one guy would have been in on Jalen Warren is now going to split
94:06reps pretty evenly, probably with Rico Dowdle and probably not get red zone stuff with, with Rico Dowdle in there.
94:12So yeah, I'm probably staying away from all these guys as much as I do still love DK Metcalf.
94:17Like he's just not going to have consistency at all in this offense.
94:21I don't think, I think Michael Pittman will have some spike weeks because I think he's a great, fit with Aaron Rogers.
94:28I think you'll lead the team in catches. Yeah.
94:30But overall, yeah, I'm probably avoiding Steelers. You know, I just can't attach myself to Aaron Rogers and Mike McCarthy's reunion with
94:36Aaron Rogers at, what is he going to be?
94:39He's going to be a 42, 42 years old.
94:42I can't attach myself to Aaron Rogers is 42 year old season.
94:45You know, you could make the argument that this is the best quarterback Michael Pittman's ever had.
94:50Michael Pittman. That is true. Michael Pittman has played with Philip Rivers twice, six years apart.
94:55So think about that. That's crazy. His other quarterbacks have been Carson Wentz, the last year of Matt Ryan's career, Gardner Minshew,
95:01Anthony Richardson, and Daniel Jones for eight, for like nine games.
95:04That's all Michael Pittman has had in his career.
95:07Michael Pittman. I never realized that you're right. His, his career was like span, like bookended by both of Philip Rivers' final seasons.
95:13Yeah. So I'm kind of like, you could argue this is the best quarterback situation he's ever had.
95:18Wow. Uh, that's a great call. I don't want them.
95:21I agree that with DK, the only stealer I would actually draft is Jill and Warren.
95:26I just, Pittman's the exact kind of player that I, you know, you always have to kind of pick how you'll go down.
95:33You know, you can't just think of everything. You have to make a decision of like, if I am wrong about something,
95:39what do I want to be wrong on? And not having Michael Pittman is how I would like to lose this fantasy.
95:45I think he will be like the fifth wide receiver on your team that never plays unless you have a pretty tough bi-week situation.
95:52Yeah. Yeah. Uh, and then last before, before we get to, uh, hot quarterback rankings and some emails, Kenneth Gainwell, are you going to take him Buffalo?
96:00We're going to let that one night stand. You mean Tampa?
96:03Oh yeah. Sorry. What did I say? Buffalo. Um, it's weird.
96:06Very similar cities. Uh, uh, I, I think he's a good compliment to Bucky Irving.
96:10I think Kenneth Gainwell is like an elite receiver and really smart and savvy and like super clutch.
96:16I went back and watched a couple of Kenneth Gainwell highlights just to kind of relive the glory days last year.
96:22Dude, do you remember that like 50 yard catch where he like caught on the sideline that Rogers chucked up to him falling down?
96:29It was the play of the year. It's the play of the regular season.
96:33Yeah. Just as a highlight. I don't know how relevant he's going to be as like a fantasy player.
96:38I mean, he ended up becoming the most important player on the Steelers like the last half of the season and they used him a lot.
96:46Tampa. I think it'll be a little bit more scarcely used and it depends on like what Bucky Irving does.
96:51I think he'll be more of like a better real life player for the Bucks than fantasy.
96:56I would have to guess. Yeah. Craig, what do you think was the best highlight of the season?
97:01Kenneth Gainwell doing one of the most athletic things I've ever seen or, um, Zach Charbonnet picking up a football when all
97:08the players were walking off the field. Both, both just real football plays that we should honor as parts of the game.
97:14Yeah. Uh, okay. Uh, I'll spare you my thoughts on Wanda Robinson.
97:17Is that where we draw the line here? Giant sign.
97:20The Titans signed Wanda Robinson and Brian Dable is going to Wanda Robinson with the Titans and you will rank them somewhere.
97:27Do people care or not? I don't care. Wanda Robinson on the Titans is, is a correct fit.
97:32Five. Sure. Right. We will rank him somewhere. It's a promise.
97:35Okay. We're not doing defense. Obviously like miles Garrett also changed teams.
97:38did he? We, we, yeah, we did that. And Trent McDuffie.
97:42You'll never guess where they went. Okay. Let's get to the reason people are here, which is the hot quarterback rankings.
97:48Totally. I'm fired up. All, all seven members of the seven have sent in their rankings.
97:52And we did in fact actually do a, a very massive, large, you'd be shocked how scientific composite.
97:57We had hundreds of submissions, correct? All seven. All seven.
98:00Hundreds and hundreds of the seven sent it in.
98:03Yeah. And, uh, I, we actually were, you would never believe how scientific we were about compiling it all, but we have it.
98:10And we have this. He's being serious. He's being serious.
98:12No, we did. He spent a lot of time working on this.
98:16Yeah. Probably way too much. Uh, and so the rankings, we are going to unveil them.
98:20We're going to have our sweet 16, the sexy 16.
98:23And I don't know the rankings, but yeah, you two don't know it.
98:27So cam. We have our own. The three of us have our own composite.
98:31And then the seven has their own that we have yet to see who have built their top 32.
98:37We're going to unveil the top 16, but today we're going to talk about the four who didn't make the cut.
98:43So technically this would be 17 to 20. These are the honorable mentions.
98:46So who, how do we want to do this?
98:49Do you want to just be to unveil like the, the basically the final four out here.
98:54Yeah. And I'll, I'll show you like one at a time.
98:57Drum roll. Yeah. Yeah. You want me to tell you the four names?
99:01You want to go one at a time? I think you just tell me the four names.
99:06Okay. So the final four out. Okay. First four out.
99:08Yeah. Right. First four out. Just use March madness parlance.
99:11Again, these guys did not rank, did not meet our fine, our 16 hottest.
99:15They're not in the top half, hottest quarterbacks. They're not above average.
99:19Yeah. So without further ado. Okay. The first four players out of the hottest quarterbacks of 2026.
99:24Drake may. Did not make the cut. Okay. Jared Goff.
99:27Mm-hmm. Did not make the cut. Can see that.
99:29Fernando Mendoza. And Kirk cousins back to back. These are basically been voted as average looking men.
99:34The GQ bump didn't get him in. I have.
99:37So Craig, you have compiled hot photos of these men.
99:40Okay. Why don't we start with Drake may. I have comments from the seven that I thought were representatives that not only did people send rankings, they sent.
99:48So yeah, Drake may look at Drake may here.
99:50So not only did we have rankings, but people included comments.
99:53And I want to read you the comments on Drake may.
99:56So some of the comments that I thought summed up what a lot of women said, Drake may said, uh, these are,
100:03I'm going to anonymize a lot of these. Okay.
100:05So among the comments about Drake may we'll always look 12.
100:09Yep. He does have a baby face. Yeah, it does.
100:11Uh, Drake may kind of looks like someone who had a hot face, but then you squished it together like a sandwich.
100:18That's just mean. Drake may several years away from getting anywhere near hot, but definitely adorable.
100:22Okay. He's going to be hot in like the 2029 season.
100:26He'll be hot. A lot of women said, looked up his wedding photos.
100:29I recognized his wife. Okay. Big Tik TOKs. Right.
100:32And then someone said looks 12, but also somehow looks 50 feels like he loves booty calls and he would take all
100:38of your tater tots when you're not looking. He looks like he loves booty.
100:42Uh, and then he's got a little frat vibe going on for sure.
100:46The one that stuck with me. I don't know why it was Drake.
100:50May looks like he should try the beard thing, but the problem is his neck is as wide as his head.
100:56And that does something for me. Oh, they like the thing.
100:59That's good. I don't know if they, I don't know what it does.
101:03I don't know if it's good or bad, but now that they say it, it's true.
101:07His neck is as wide as his head. And I, I just can't stop staring at it now.
101:12Yeah. I think, I don't know if it's normal.
101:15I think Drake May is going to have the, and I don't know where Daniel Jones lands on this list.
101:21He's going to have a similar Daniel Jones glove.
101:23I feel like Daniel Jones in the last year or two looks like he became an adult.
101:28Drake May is going to, at some point turn into an adult.
101:32Right now, he looks to me like a frat boy.
101:35I think, I think the difference though, is I think Daniel Jones has like chronic Eli Manning syndrome.
101:40Where he just looks like bewildered in every picture.
101:42Yeah. He's kind of caught looking. He has like resting dopey face.
101:46Yeah. Yeah. And I think Drake May, Drake, the interesting thing about Drake May, I feel like, you know, what's great is
101:52those four quarterbacks that you listed, Heifetz, for me, all of them lie between 16 and 21 in my ranking.
101:58So I kind of hit it. They're average. Aggressively middle.
102:01Yeah. I think Daniel Jones had more player, Daniel Jones, who was basically came in 24th here.
102:06He's an honorable mention as well. We can throw up, throw up a Daniel Jones picture.
102:10Do we have one? Yeah. Like Daniel Jones right here.
102:13More asterisks than any player about with or without beard and his eyes and his hair.
102:18Like literally, I mean, one of the comments for Daniel Jones was, yeah, only with long hair.
102:23A lot of them said he has bug eyes and a punchable face.
102:26And there was a lot of them said, a group of women, you know, he looks like a Pixar character to me.
102:33He does. That one does. He has a group of women said Daniel Jones is top five.
102:37With the beard and bottom five without the beard.
102:40He's top five with the beard. I didn't say it.
102:43I said three women decided that. I think I can, I can see where they're coming from.
102:48I would definitely would not put him top five, but I, there's times where I see a picture of Daniel Jones.
102:54I'm like, Oh, he got hot kind of, but then there's other pictures where I'm like, Oh, nevermind.
102:59He does look great with the beard. Wow. Daniel Jones.
103:02One of the, somebody milled in and said, Daniel Jones looks like Shrek after he drank the handsome potion.
103:07There's there. Which is kind of also true. Good God, Craig, this picture you said that doesn't even look like him.
103:13He looks, he looks really good. Yeah. Other comments at Daniel Jones.
103:17Eyes are too close together. Question mark. Someone just wrote gross.
103:20It just really depends on the picture you look at.
103:23He looks great with a beard. There's something about the eyes.
103:26He has a stare that I can't quite. He like really locks in or something in a way that's kind of unsettling, but it doesn't blink.
103:34Someone, I'll tell you what it is. Someone said that he looks like Norman Bates.
103:38Oh, which is fucking brutal. That's the character in psycho.
103:41Yeah. I don't know. I didn't say it. I think to go back to Drake may though, for the honorable mention, I
103:47think Drake may, if you described him on paper, seems really hot.
103:51Yeah. But I think he has like, he, he, I agree.
103:54He looks like a, like a 14 year old kid who like, he was like, he's the biggest kid in his grade.
104:00And he's like, he hasn't quite caught up yet.
104:03Like everything hasn't quite filled in yet. Cause he's just like grew too fast.
104:07Gangly. Yeah. He looks a little bit, you know, he's just young.
104:10Some guys are too, like cam warders, at least like that.
104:13As I was cam ward ranked very low in this exercise and everyone had the same commentary, which was basically cam ward
104:20kind of looks like he's in high school. Cam ward looks like 16 years old.
104:24Yeah. Drake may is not quite that, but he looks very young.
104:27I want to go there. Drake, do you think Drake can grow a beard?
104:31I kind of don't. His follow, like he looks so clean shaven that sometimes it's like, you don't even see five o'clock shadow trickling in.
104:39He's follically challenged. I don't think on his face.
104:41So who else do we have to discuss? We have Kirk.
104:44So the other one, let's throw up the next one.
104:47I want to throw up Jared Goff. Let's put the Jared Goff photo up.
104:51You know? Yeah. I've heard. Oh, so if you're on Spotify, you can watch video too, or if you're watching, go watch us on Netflix.
104:58Yeah. If you want to participate here, you also can Google these people.
105:02You know, I have women in my life who think Jared Goff is, is hot, straight hot.
105:07And he's like a, like a Ryan Gosling light.
105:10Yes. He's like, literally Gosling. So many people wrote Ryan Gosling's less attractive brother.
105:14Yeah. Which is still, it's still very attractive. You'll take that.
105:17Yeah. Other, other comments on Jared Goff that the, that, that members of the seven, all seven women who look, listen to
105:23our show wrote in on Jared Goff. Looks like he works for Facebook.
105:27God, that's someone, my eyes glaze over whenever I see him.
105:30Someone wrote state farm is rubbing their hands together, waiting for Jared Goff to retire.
105:34The meme. So Jared Goff's the guy in it.
105:37Who's not actually cute, but you do just think he's cute in comparison.
105:41And maybe he's got some jokes while we figure out why you can't open outlook.
105:45He's tall and nice. Tall and nice. Someone wrote Jared Goff.
105:48Looks like he hosts game nights every week, but only wants to play Catan.
105:52Okay. He's very specific. Very specific. I love the specificity.
105:55And someone wrote Jared Goff. Maybe the most, just kind of a guy, guy of all time gets hotter when the stadium
106:01chants his name, but somehow weirdly his hot wife makes him less hot.
106:05Yeah. He has very pretty wife. She's a, she's a sports illustrated swimsuit model.
106:09Yeah. He's doing just fine. From what I understand.
106:12I actually get it. If you Google Jared Goff wife, the first photo does make, she really mogs him at all these photos.
106:18There's like a lot of video. There's a lot of videos floating around the internet ether of her finding out that.
106:24I forget what she found out. She's like at some sports illustrated.
106:28She had to move to Detroit. I don't know what it was, but she's in, she's in a bathing suit and finding something out.
106:35And, you know, credit to him for, for that.
106:37Yeah. I think Jared Goff is like a perfectly fine looking young man.
106:41Yes. If he wasn't an NFL quarterback, where would he rank?
106:44He's tall. Height, I think was the biggest thing that it was factored in for some and not others.
106:50And Austin, Austin forwarded on the video, by the way, she found out that he got his first win.
106:55you pulled that up quick. He had that on speed dial.
106:58Yeah. That really had that one bookmarked. Why'd you have that really quick?
107:02Weird. What's her name? Sorry. We should say her name.
107:05For the record. For your record. So people can look in and see for themselves.
107:09Her name is Kristen Harper. There we go. Yeah.
107:12Look, I think this is the, I think the seven nailed it and he's properly ranked.
107:16I think works, looks like he works for Facebook is really funny.
107:20So the next, so yeah, anything else than Jared Goff?
107:23I think that you're right. He's, he's, he's average, but he's really tall, which I think is the hardest thing for men to understand.
107:30I don't know why it's such a big deal to be six foot five, but he is.
107:35He doesn't, he doesn't have the, the riz from what I've seen.
107:38There's, there's nothing offensive about, you know, when you talk about Daniel Jones, there's like kind of things that you're like, his eyes, something.
107:45Jared Goff is like very, like, like uncontroversial. It kind of like his play style.
107:49He doesn't do anything terribly. Yeah. Even if the ceiling isn't there everywhere, it's like, there's no true massive weaknesses.
107:55It's a good point. Okay. The next one here, 18 was Fernando Mendoza, which I'll admit was not ranked by everybody.
108:01Some people just rank Kirk, but Fernando Mendoza, some of the comments that Fernando Mendoza being 18th are my favorite one.
108:07That's a pizza delivery guy. Name's Norm. I live with my folks up in Pocono.
108:11Some woman wrote about Fernando Mendoza, bit of a baby face, but the Esquire photos really moved them up the list.
108:17I know. I was going to say those Esquire photos are doing work.
108:21Can we pull that up? Those are included. Oh yeah.
108:24That one, that one definitely. This is another guy who going into 2029 will be very hot.
108:29Yeah. Here's what I'll say about Mendoza. I think when, when he like does the, like blue steel, he looks good.
108:35Like when he, when he doesn't do the big smile, almost like makes him a little bit more childish looking.
108:41The Esquire cover. He's got a big old jaw.
108:43He looks great. And he's not speaking. So you can't realize that he, like, because the, someone nailed it, which was, let's live and go.
108:50If I was 16 years old, Mendoza would be in my top three.
108:54Somebody wrote. That's really funny. I thought it was great.
108:57And then someone wrote, your mom would be thrilled to have Fernando Mendoza as a son.
109:02Well, yeah, we're not. Yeah. It's hard to separate what we know about him.
109:06Right? Yes. That's part of this. That's part of this.
109:09Yeah. And someone, and someone wrote about Mendoza and Kirk cousins conventionally, very attractive just to dweeb.
109:13Yeah. Which I thought they'll do. Yeah. And then Kirk cousins.
109:17I mean, we all know Kirk cousins, you know, we know his game.
109:20Do we have any pictures of Fernando Mendoza with a beard?
109:23No, I don't think he has one. Kirk cousins.
109:26That's a little bit of Cole's cash chain, which Craig, I thought was a good selection.
109:31Cause that is good. That's kind of his energy in a nutshell.
109:34Kurt Cole's cash chain. Conventionally very attractive. Just to do.
109:37Someone else wrote daddy would treat me right. And then, and then yeah, youth group would treat me right.
109:42Would treat me right. That someone put them first and was like, someone was someone, I think two women wrote in and would put Kirk cousins first.
109:50And they're like, would, yeah, just like Kirk cousins to me is like, if like a divorced mom is picking up her
109:57kid from school and she looks over and sees Kirk cousins picking up his kid.
110:01And he's also a divorced dad. You're like, holy shit.
110:04I found the guy. Yeah. Like this is, this is the hottest dad at this school.
110:08Yeah. Um, I've long thought that he looks just like Gary from team America, world police.
110:13It's like uncanny Google. Google. Hold on. I'm going to send this picture over.
110:17Wow. What a pull. It's quite jarring when you see them next to each other.
110:21Oh my God. How have you never mentioned this before?
110:24I have mentioned this many times. Maybe just not to you guys.
110:28No, you could go dig up a tweet from 2016, probably from, for me on this.
110:32There is kind of like a, like a mannequin esque quality to Kirk.
110:36Yeah. You know what I mean? He's like, it's like a little, he's like teeth are really white.
110:41His eyes are really blue. Yeah. Canning Valley. Oh my God.
110:44That is so. He does kind of look like a really, really well done robot.
110:49Like if I told you some of these photos are AI, you'd be like, it was probably the Kirk photos.
110:54This picture that's up right now. Yeah. Kirk Cousins is a, is a premium t-shirt model.
110:59Yeah. That photo is one of those, like we made up an AI influencer.
111:03Like if you want a premium t-shirt. Tilly Norwood and Kirk Cousins are dating.
111:07Yeah. Anyway. Yeah. He's a good looking guy. Yeah.
111:10Nice looking. Dweeb. Dweeb, but good looking. I think this is very interesting that they, they are the first four out, but,
111:16and I think the seven nailed it. I think this is spot on.
111:20Yeah. I think that it, I think it works.
111:22I agree. I think that, especially the idea that these guys going forward are above average.
111:27I think that these guys being average is perfect.
111:29Yeah. I, by the way, thank you to the seven for the commentary that, Oh my God.
111:34The editorializing is great. It's, there are some incredible comments.
111:37I mean, there are, there are just, I can't wait as we go into this.
111:41There are just, there are just some amazing things that people said about these people.
111:46I mean, we might have to get a, honestly, the meanest ones are the funniest.
111:50So I might have to edit those. I don't know what we'll do with those.
111:54We don't want to be mean. This is not good.
111:57Good looking guys. Yeah. Yeah. I enjoyed the comments though, especially the mean ones.
112:01They were funny. We probably won't let them see the light of day, but yeah, so we're going to unveil those at the beginning of each week.
112:09Does this align with your guys' rankings? Is anything here like completely out of whack?
112:13Did you have any of these four guys in the top five or the top 10 or anything like that?
112:19I don't think so. So I think this was pretty in line.
112:23Yeah, it's pretty in line. I thought Drake may would come in higher, but for the most part, I had golf cousins
112:29and Drake may actually exactly in that range. Yeah.
112:32I'd made 22nd. And I had golf cousins next to each other.
112:35Yeah, me too. And then who was the other one we were talking about?
112:39Mendoza. I had Mendoza higher. So I'm 16. Yeah.
112:42Do you want me to, I have a, can I just tell you a couple of the other people who came in,
112:48all the people behind them who also missed the cut?
112:51You just want to read me comments. No, I actually could read much more meeter comments, but it's Sam Donald, Kyler Murray and Bo Nix.
112:58We're the next up. Oh, wow. They, they did not make it.
113:01And Bo Nix didn't make it. I bring it up because Bo Nix didn't make it.
113:06And I think he's the biggest gap. Wow. Is Bo Nix.
113:09Craig, I see you have Bo Nix is 11th in your rankings, but the seven weighed in and they put Bo Nix 23rd.
113:16Wow. Bo Nix to me is just like Drake may, but short.
113:19Like kind of fratty looking like. Definite. Like the biggest douche in your frat.
113:23Someone wrote Bo Nix. Bo Nix wouldn't ignore me at a party, but I would ignore him back.
113:28Someone wrote Bo Nix. Invest, looks like an investment banker, derogatory.
113:32Lacrosse player. Yeah. It's, I think I just kind of thought he'd rank higher, but no.
113:36Me too. Where did you guys have Bo Nix?
113:39I had him quite low. Let me see. I had him 23rd.
113:42Why is he always so red? He's playing football.
113:45It's hot. I mean, I can relate to that, but yeah.
113:48Hyvind, where'd you have Nix? I had him 12th, right?
113:51Right with you. I had him as a top 12 guy.
113:54Yeah. He has conventional qualities to him, I think, but yeah.
113:57He looks like the villain in a Disney movie.
114:00He does. He does look like the villain in a Disney.
114:03So does Jackson Dart. Jackson Dart, I have to say, really looks like the villain in a Disney movie.
114:08Headband and everything. I struggled more with Dart than anybody.
114:11I'm going to be excited to see where Dart lands.
114:14I feel like. I could be anywhere. My guess.
114:17My guess is, and again, Heifetz has hidden the official rankings from Craig and I.
114:21My guess is Dart is going to be extremely high.
114:24Can I read one comment about Bo Nix that is very funny?
114:27Sure. That made me laugh. They just have JG McCarthy and Bo Nix next to each other as 30th and 31st.
114:33Oh, they have this. She wrote Bo Nix, McCarthy, Drake, May back to back to back.
114:38And they wrote, are these the same person? I'm Korean.
114:41I grew up in the South listening to Southern people saying that all Asian people look alike.
114:46And yet you're telling me you can tell the difference between these three versions.
114:50Dude, JJ McCarthy and Nix and Nix definitely do look alike.
114:53Yeah. Yeah. That's really good. They look, they look like generic white guy.
114:57They look like central casting for the douchey frat in animal house.
115:00Yeah. Uh, okay. Great comment. Oh, that's awesome. I love that.
115:03Really funny. You can't convince me. These are not the same guy.
115:07Uh, okay. So next week, next Monday, we will do, we will begin the official ranking of the top 16.
115:13Yes. And, uh, we have a lot of good emails.
115:15I'll get to them, but I, we're going very long today.
115:19So I will, I will read one and just mention blind spots or things that you kind of didn't know until much later in life.
115:26And this email is from Sam. Sammy S bone breakfast was a banana chocolate protein smoothie.
115:30Hmm. So Sam writes, I'm 40 years old. I'm going to read his email in a different order.
115:36Cause I think it's even funnier if you just go chronologically.
115:39He says, my seven year old asked me, why does, what is the sound of thunder in a thunderstorm?
115:44Like, what is the sound of thunder? Oh boy.
115:47And Sam said, no one knows. Scholars maintain. Sam told his seven year old that the sound of thunder during a thunderstorm
115:53is when the big clouds crash into each other.
115:56Right. Honestly, that would work on me. You can tell me that now.
115:59His wife hears this and runs into the room and says, it's the fucking lightning.
116:04Yeah. Wait, you left out. This is an Australian man.
116:07So you gotta read, you gotta read. It's the fucking lightning.
116:10It's the lightning. Fuck's sake. It's the lightning, you cunt.
116:13That's exactly what she said. Nor it's the lightning, you cunt.
116:16Yeah. Or no, you can convince me it's the two, one billion pound clouds crashing into one another like waves.
116:22Uh, the only reason I knew he was wrong is because you like see the lightning and then you count.
116:27Yeah. The seconds. You wait for the thunder clap and it's because the sound, it travels slower than the speed of light.
116:34So anyway, it's the clouds, just the clouds clapping together.
116:37It's actually the gods. The gods are fighting. Yeah.
116:39God is clapping the cheeks of the clouds. But here's my question.
116:43And hearing your husband explain this to your child.
116:45Whoa, whoa, whoa. Why did I marry you? What are you talking about?
116:49Slow down there, partner. So here would be my question based on what, so like the sound is from the lightning, you cunt, but it is interesting.
116:57You can't say that word without the accent. The accent is what makes it fine.
117:01You say it in American and suddenly it's like, it's quite, quite offensive actually.
117:05Craig, do it in Australia. It's cheeky and fun in Australia.
117:08It's the lightning, you cunt. Yeah. See, that's just rolls off like water off a duck when you say it like that.
117:14But so, you know, the lightning, or sorry, you know, the thunder claps that end up lasting like a really long time.
117:21Is that just the sound sort of like being diverted by different other things and it comes in?
117:26No, that's when the clouds collide. That's right. But you know, I actually don't know.
117:30Can someone explain? Some thunder claps are like low and sort of last a long time.
117:35Yeah, yeah, yeah. Maybe it's just multiple lightning strikes.
117:37I don't know. We could, we could get to the bottom of that.
117:41Diki wants to know why it lasts a long time.
117:44So there's gotta be something to do with the sound waves.
117:47Remember how we had that discussion about traveling sound waves and bouncing off the water or something like that?
117:53Oh yeah. There was, I was reading this book.
117:55Craig does not give a fuck about that. No, I know what you're talking about.
118:00Speaking of the sound effect, I was reading this book recently about the Civil War and there was this one battle in
118:06particular where all the Confederate generals were like having this party, wine party or something.
118:10And it was like not very far away from the actual battle that occurred, but because of some atmospheric sound phenomenon thing,
118:17they couldn't hear the battle that had started because of like, I don't know, maybe the way that the land was situated or the wind or whatever.
118:24God? There was like actual battle happening not very far away and all these gunshots and cannon shots and they just didn't
118:31hear it, even though it was super close. So it was like this, it truly was like, I've said like an act
118:37of God because it was a turning point in the war.
118:40People who know about it could tell more, but like that to me is like a fascinating thing.
118:45Basically, they were in this little spot where you couldn't hear anything around from wars.
118:50Wars really are like a, it's like a title run for a team where there's all these little moments that go exactly.
118:56It's like, if you weren't there, you're like, oh, they want the Bulls one.
119:00That's decent. Cool. But if you were there, you're like, oh my God, dude, this one, like that one, Zach Charbonnet doesn't pick up that ball.
119:07The whole thing's different. And it's, it's, it's, there's, yeah, sliding door moments.
119:11And even like World War II too, there was just a million of those.
119:15Yeah. Crazy. Email us other turning points in wars.
119:18I want that one. It's a little, small, little things that happened that changed everything.
119:22The one that I, I think I might botch this, but is someone nominated some, maybe at a Reddit thread, someone nominated
119:28for biggest sliding doors in human history was the Mongol army was going to sack Vienna in like four, I forget what year.
119:35And it was like the Mongols were basically going to invade Europe and probably dominate.
119:39And then one of the cons died and they had to go home to his funeral and they had to not invade Vienna.
119:46Like they had to go home. Like, it's like, you know, Oh, there's a, there's a million of those things, man.
119:52It's crazy. Like, I mean, like even the start of world war two, if, you know, Hitler, I can't remember exactly what the details were.
119:59It was like Hitler was testing and prodding the, the allies sort of like resolve and willingness to go to war.
120:05And when the, when they didn't do anything, I think it was maybe invading Czechoslovakia or Poland or whatever.
120:11And when they, when the allies, the opposing side didn't do anything, he was like, all right, it's on.
120:16If they had just basically been like, fuck off, you're not going here.
120:20Like it would have gone completely different potentially. So there's a lot of those like sliding door moments in history.
120:26All right. Well, on that note. Okay. Well, remember you guys, remember where I told you I wanted to do a thing for in the Lauren segment.
120:33Can I, can we, Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't remember it, but go.
120:37I want to do when we think Lauren, I want to switch things up and I want to, I want to thank
120:44specific songs and I want to do a month of millennial bangers that have been forgotten.
120:48Okay. Great. I've recently kind of fallen into like the 2008 to 2012 range of just like random songs.
120:54And I'm like, man, this song, you throw this on in the car.
120:58This was a banger 15 years ago. So are you doing it or is DK doing it?
121:02I'm going to do it. Okay. It's okay with DK to give up the throne for a month.
121:08Wow. So thank you, DK. Thank you, Craig. Who did you think last, yeah, last episode, DK after that, I was like,
121:14we got to, we got to switch. Wax Taylor.
121:17Yeah. After Wax Taylor, I was like, okay. Thank you, Cam.
121:20Fine. Jeez. Thank you, Abu. Thank you, Austin. Thank you, Nikhil.
121:23Thank you, Carlos. Thank you to the seven for a great run.
121:26Doing music. Thank you. Thank you to the seven.
121:29Thank you to all seven people. Women listen to our show emailed in.
121:33Yeah. But most of all, thank you, Lord. DK.
121:35Now you. Lord. Yeah. Thank you. Usher and young Jeezy for singing the 2008 song.
121:40Love in this club. That song's awesome. That's a mouthful, Craig, but I'll take it.
121:44Yeah. That song's awesome. Do you ever just listen to the lyrics of that song?
121:48You're like, wait, they're having sex on the dance floor.
121:51He wants to make love in this club. Like full penetration around all these people.
121:55In a club is a terrible place. To have sex?
121:58Yeah. Don't knock it till you tried it, pal.
122:01I bet you ushers had plenty of nice experiences having sex in the club.
122:05That's true. Craig, that's a great song though. Dude.
122:07Instant, instant vibe lifter. The way the song starts, I wish we could play it.
122:12Like, just sing it. And it's just like, doodle, doodle, It's, it's really great.
122:16They used to really crump them out. That's the one that has the, like the solo by, shit, what's his name?
122:22Young Jeezy. But didn't Ludacris have a, like a solo in there too?
122:26I don't think so. Maybe I'm missing. I think that's a different song.
122:29Oh God. It's fine. There's, I mean, there are a lot of pop songs from this era that sound just like this.
122:36Um, but throw that song on in the car today.
122:39If you're listening, you're thinking of, yeah, DK has Ludacris.
122:41Oh, sure. Got it. My bad. I think they also did more than one song.
122:46I think you're right. I think that's exactly what I was thinking of.
122:49Uh, but anyway, yeah, young Jeezy's in this and he's like, I'm what you want.
122:54I'm what you need. It's the best. It's the best.
122:57It's so funny. It's such a good song. Do you want people to email in, uh, club bangers?
123:02Or you want to just, you're taking solo? Millennial club bangers.
123:05Maybe we'll make a playlist, um, for the summer, but it just, I want to make love in this club, in this club.
123:12All you got to do is tell me what you're sipping on.
123:15Oh my God. It's so funny. That's so funny too.
123:18Cause I feel like I've been, I feel like 50 cent has been, I feel like I'm listening to more 50 cent.
123:24Yeah. And like into club by 50 cent where he's like, I'm not into making love.
123:29I'm in having sex. Yeah. It's just, you know, they really were taking, you know, different niches, you know?
123:34I just feel like I've, I've realized that I listened to old music and I listened to new music, but I, I
123:41had, I kind of stopped listening to music from when I was in high school.
123:45And every time I discovered the mid range. Yeah.
123:48Mid range jumper, the 17 footer. Yeah. Now I'm like, Oh, I forgot about all these.
123:52Like some of them are really good. I think like love in this club is genuinely a very well done song, but
123:58then there's like the like Tao Cruz, Jay Sean shit.
124:01And, you know, it's just like dynamite. Oh, like I as singing the song replay, you know, like all that stuff.
124:07It's just great. Was this the apex mountain era of club dance songs?
124:11Cause like, like in the club is, is kind of the start of that.
124:15I think, I don't, I don't know anything about music, obviously, but like that whole era, that generation of music.
124:21I can think of so many like Eminem, Dr.
124:23Dre, 50 cent, uh, Usher, ludicrous, like so many good dance songs.
124:27Would anyone not pick the era that they were in clubs for?
124:30I just feel like, like, it's like if you grew up with an Xbox and you like Xbox better than PlayStation, I don't really care.
124:38I'm interested when people change their minds as they get older.
124:41Is anyone not going to pick their era of music?
124:44You know what I mean? It's funny. I wonder right now, this current era, the last five years, I would be interested
124:50to see what, what like the iconic club bangers from the last five years are considered.
124:55Yeah. That's, that's kind of what I'm asking. Cause that, that was to be the golden age.
124:59I mean, like, yeah, there's just so many fricking, I mean, I guess that's just cause when I was at parties, but I mean, look, they were fun.
125:07The songs that I will mention this month, half of them will be bad and hilarious.
125:12I'm not saying that like, these are the best songs that have ever been made.
125:16I just like, I mean, half the shit like, you know, it's like Jason Derulo and Jay Sean Akon, who I think is kind of a genius.
125:24TK was good. Jason Derulo. What was the getting, getting down for real?
125:28What was that song? You remember that one? Oh, it's going down for real.
125:32Yeah. Flo Rida. Flo Rida. Flo Rida. Flo Rida has a, quietly, crazy top five songs.
125:36Oh yeah. Let me tell you. Like, what were those things people doing?
125:40Versus? Flo Rida's versus is quietly amazing. I unironically love Flo Rida.
125:44Yes. I think he's great. I think Club Can't Handle Me is like one of my all time favorite songs.
125:49I think he's fucking great. What's he doing these days?
125:52Flo Rida is on low, right round, Club Can't Handle Me, and then he's got Wild Ones, Good Feel.
125:58Like, there's a lot of incredible songs in here.
126:00Yeah, dude. Fucking, he did the Avicii remix, Good Feeling.
126:03It's like the only levels remix that I'm like kind of okay with.
126:07Oh, speaking of this, I was told, yeah, Whistle, yeah, sure.
126:10I was told by my friend that to admit defeat on the whole Robin, not knowing that song by Robin because that was like an iconic dance song.
126:18Dancing on my own? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I was told I was an idiot for that.
126:23I'll admit it. It's all right. But humbly suggest that that song is larger than No Doubt's songs.
126:28I can do the entire Nicki Minaj verse from Where Them Girls At by David Geta and Flo Rida.
126:34Word for word. I gotta see that. It like comes to me in a vision.
126:38It doesn't matter. I'll be 75 years old and when it's like, what happened?
126:42Yeah. You start it right now. Go. people. That's it.
126:45That's the whole verse. Wow. Well done. I think.
126:48I mean, I can't tell you. Are we going to get sued for that?
126:52All right. Only one way to find out. No, because it's totally different from the real song.
