Travis Etienne could be in some real trouble with his role in New Orleans. He accounted for just 45% of the RB rushes, and Kendre Miller received both of the Saints carries inside the 10 yard line (converting one for a TD) per @FantasyPtsData. He salvaged a fine enough day (11.3 FP) with a bunch of targets in a negative game script (8 targets, just 32 rec yards), but even the underlying receiving role wasn't particularly strong (36.5% route share was just 27th among RBs in Week 1). Bhayshul Tuten is the clear front runner for RB1 duties in JAX, an environment that turned a relatively underwhelming talent in Travis Etienne into a top 10 fantasy RB. We don’t know how good Tuten is, but the expected role and environment gives him a great chance to succeed. And he probably has more upside than Etienne given the top-tier speed/explosiveness in college + lack of that ability from Etienne over the last few years. Upside at a low-end RB2 cost comes in spades with Tuten.

To be clear, definitely not pounding the table for Kamara. Think he’s extremely limited at this point and probably has pretty poor injury-contingent upside. Would imagine he splits with an Estime, Neal or Kendre, in an offense that may be trending up but is still on the weaker side of the league. More so just think he limits the upside of Etienne as a pass-catcher. And fwiw, the advanced stuff for these two has been pretty similar over the past couple of years, both not great. Have mostly been avoiding Travis Etienne and this is a primary reason for that. Don’t love Kamara either due to what I’m imagining is minimal contingent upside at this stage of his career, but he seems very live to handicap Etienne who holds a mid R3 price tag. Kamara could very well lead the RB room in targets and take on a big passing down role, which could be pretty robust in a pass-heavy offense that is just 23rd in implied point total avg over the course of the season. Etienne was just s...
