Perine's usage surge makes him more than just a handcuff.

Samaje Perine has handcuff value as the backup to Chase Brown in Cincinnati, but with a notable boost in usage in Week 5, Perine might be described as a 'handcuff plus.' With Brown struggling in the running game the last two weeks, Perine played a season-high 33 snaps Sunday against the Dolphins and had 14-68-0 rushing and 2-10-1 on two targets. Perine and the Bengals are on bye in Week 6, but it might be worth stashing Perine in deeper leagues to see if the increased usage sticks when the Bengals face the Ravens in Week 7.
