WR Germie Bernard played 93% of snaps and put up 6-80-0 on a team-high nine targets, while WR Roman Wilson suffered a finger injury right before halftime and missed the entire second half. Crucially, Wilson's injury didn't impact Bernard's playing time. Bernard took 97% of snaps in the first half, serving as a full-time player in 11 and 12 personnel. Bernard may lack a dominant trait in prospect terms, but there's a lot to be said for his combination of draft capital (second round), playing time (93% snaps!) and production (80 yards) on a team ranked fifth in dropback rate and sixth in PROE. Bernard looks like the hot waiver pickup of the week at WR.

Bernard 93% snaps, 9 targets, 80 yards; hot waiver pickup at WR.

Bernard played 93% of snaps and put up 6-80-0 on a team-high nine targets. Crucially, Roman Wilson's finger injury didn't impact Bernard's playing time; Bernard took 97% of snaps in the first half, serving as a full-time player in 11 and 12 personnel (the only two groupings Pittsburgh uses in any serious capacity). While Bernard may lack a dominant trait in prospect terms, his combination of draft capital (second round), playing time (93% snaps), and production (80 yards) on a team ranked fifth in dropback rate and sixth in PROE is compelling. The source identifies Bernard as the hot waiver pickup of the week at WR.
