A change in play-caller wasn't enough to turn Bo Nix's season around, as the third-year quarterback threw for a season-low 123 passing yards. He was able to find the end zone through the air but ran for just 10 yards, as his scrambling has been muted compared to previous seasons. Nix averaged 23 rushing yards per game in his first two seasons, frequently providing explosive plays on the ground, but is averaging just seven rushing yards per game so far this season.

Nix posts season-low 123 passing yards; averaging 7 rushing YPG.

Nix has struggled significantly this season despite a change in play-caller. In Week 5, he threw for a season-low 123 passing yards and ran for just 10 yards, as his scrambling has been muted compared to previous seasons. He averaged 23 rushing yards per game in his first two seasons, frequently providing explosive plays on the ground, but is averaging just 7 rushing yards per game so far this season. Outside of Week 3, when he tossed two touchdowns and ran one in, he is posting a lowly 10.26 fantasy points per game. It is easy to question Nix's health after an offseason spent rehabbing, but he is missing open reads downfield. It is officially time to panic.
