RotoWire NFL Articles on Carnell Tate

Tate's volume can't overcome Tennessee's broken deep-ball game.

Tied with Drake London for most targets (37) without touchdown catch this season. Plays for Tennessee offense with zero completions on passes thrown 30-plus yards downfield this season; only offense with this mark. Made just four such attempts (tied for third lowest), and Cam Ward ranks 28th in average target depth. Last week's 1-6-0 dud came one week after 9-145-0 breakout; something closer to latter possible against Colts defense that lines up Ahmad Gardner as outside right cornerback 83% of snaps. Tate is talent and volume-based WR3 bet, but things start to get dicey at this ranking.
