Yahoo Sports NFL on Bo Nix
From the article
"I don't think the effort and the competitiveness that he's shown in the past, I don't think he was showing that at the end of the game... I think my criticism was fair... That's the type of competitiveness that the quarterback position deserves."
STACKED’s take
Fitzpatrick questions Nix's fourth-quarter competitiveness despite Broncos' OT win.
Fitzpatrick criticized Nix's competitiveness and effort in Denver's 17-14 OT win over Seattle, noting the offense ended six straight drives with punts in the second half. Nix completed 17 of 27 for 107 passing yards. Fitzpatrick said "I don't think the effort and the competitiveness that he's shown in the past, I don't think he was showing that at the end of the game," though he walked back calling it "disrespectful to the quarterback position" as too harsh. Fitzpatrick maintained his core criticism was fair, observing that Nix lacks the fourth-quarter competitiveness shown by peers like CJ Stroud, Trevor Lawrence, Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, and Matthew Stafford.
