RotoWire NFL Articles on Brandin Cooks

Cooks' 47% route rate was third on 49ers but Purdy favored McCaffrey/Kittle; Kirk's return complicates.

49ers route rates last week with Mike Evans (Achilles) sidelined for half the game: Jordan Watkins (91%), Brandin Cooks (47%) and Jacob Cowing (32%). Of course, Watkins only saw one target despite all those routes; Brock Purdy focused most of his attention on Christian McCaffrey (10 targets) and George Kittle (8). We could see Christian Kirk (calf, IR) back. Tentatively putting my chip on Cooks, but it's tough to feel overly optimistic about any WR involved despite the obvious scoring upside in this offense.
