McCarthy shined in Giants debut with confident, accurate play; took command.

McCarthy, the 2024 first-rounder, looked like a completely different player in his first Giants start than he had in Minnesota; he was confident, accurate and decisive against Houston, with some of his downfield throws so perfectly thrown over defenders that it was as if he reached out and handed his wideout the ball; right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor said 'The moment wasn't too big for him' and that McCarthy 'took command of that from the first to the last snap.'
