Positive signalRole

Coleman gets 50% snap/carry share in first game back; priority waiver add.

Took 50% of snaps and 11 of 22 RB opportunities (50%) in his first game back from injured reserve, while J.K. Dobbins (21% snaps) and RJ Harvey (25% snaps) remained in reduced roles. A 50% share could be enough for low-end RB2 value, with real appeal if Coleman's role continues to grow and consolidates a safe majority of the work. Payton's current confidence in Dobbins/Harvey must not be great if a rookie coming back from IR had by far his best role of the year. Would not feel confident starting Coleman next week against the Chiefs, but it's at least an option for RB-needy teams.
