McCarthy is now the Giants' starter after Dart's season-ending knee injury.

McCarthy has taken over as the Giants' starting quarterback after Jaxson Dart was lost for the season with a knee injury in Week 2. McCarthy arrived at MetLife Stadium seemingly built for the offense the Giants hoped to run, and head coach John Harbaugh was confident enough in McCarthy to start him against Houston. The bye week will give McCarthy additional time to work with his new teammates before returning to action Nov. 8 in Philadelphia.
